- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Hello, Big Blue Nation, This is Michael Bennett. This is
- 0:17Speaker 2: Just the Cats and Michael Bennett on this Friday, July
- 0:20Speaker 2: twenty fourth. Already screwing up, but I don't care. It's Friday.
- 0:24Speaker 2: I'm in a good mood. So I don't know if
- 0:27Speaker 2: you heard me on Justin klen His you know, Sunrise
- 0:30Speaker 2: with Scoot says that he does every each and every
- 0:33Speaker 2: day Monday through Friday, seven to eight o'clock and he
- 0:36Speaker 2: has me come on for a little cross talk. And
- 0:38Speaker 2: I always enjoy that little tidbit that we get to
- 0:42Speaker 2: do because I get to relax a little more because
- 0:45Speaker 2: I never know what we're going to talk about me
- 0:47Speaker 2: with your show exactly, and I kind of like that.
- 0:51Speaker 2: It's to a point where it's relaxing, because there are
- 0:55Speaker 2: times I wish somebody would come up with the topics
- 0:59Speaker 2: and just ask me questions and I would be able
- 1:02Speaker 2: to give you my opinion, because that all absolutely I
- 1:06Speaker 2: can tell you right now. When I did the Lexington
- 1:09Speaker 2: Show on Sunday, I think it's called Sunday Morning Am
- 1:12Speaker 2: Sports or something like that that they do on one of
- 1:16Speaker 2: the radio stations. You know, the flagship station of University
- 1:19Speaker 2: of Kentucky Sports. I it was a dream for me
- 1:23Speaker 2: because you're right, I got to just give my opinions.
- 1:26Speaker 2: I could relax, enjoy, listen whatever Anthony White was going
- 1:31Speaker 2: to ask me, and then boom, I could have fun.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Whereas here you you got to be a little bit
- 1:36Speaker 2: on top of your game. A little bit, yeah, not
- 1:39Speaker 2: too much. So no, but it's not to a point
- 1:41Speaker 2: where it's it's anxiety driven. I just get excited. It's
- 1:45Speaker 2: you know, I've told you before, I've never been nervous
- 1:48Speaker 2: on the radio. I don't know why that is, but
- 1:51Speaker 2: when I am asked to go on somebody else's show,
- 1:54Speaker 2: I get a little nervous. Isn't that the weirdest thing
- 1:57Speaker 2: in the world. Yeah, And I just it's like, why,
- 2:00Speaker 2: why are you getting nervous? I just I don't like,
- 2:04Speaker 2: right now, I'm excited to be on this Friday, I'm
- 2:08Speaker 2: not nervous. I'm just excited. I am so weird. Sometimes
- 2:13Speaker 2: I think I realized that.
- 2:14Speaker 3: I think I'm resigned to the fact that if I've
- 2:17Speaker 3: got a microphone in front of my face, I'm never
- 2:20Speaker 3: going to be nervous again, really never. I just I don't.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I don't get nervous before games. I don't get nervous
- 2:27Speaker 3: before coming on here. I don't like there's there is
- 2:30Speaker 3: nothing where a microphone is in front of me that
- 2:32Speaker 3: I get nervous.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Do you get nervous if you're in front of a
- 2:35Speaker 2: microphone in front of a lot of people?
- 2:37Speaker 3: No, No, not even that, Like yeah, really, even the
- 2:40Speaker 3: weddings that i've officiated, No, me, neither. I'm not nervous
- 2:43Speaker 3: with those either.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah. I had to do a toast at a what
- 2:49Speaker 2: do you call it? It's not a bridle shower, it's
- 2:52Speaker 2: an engagement party. And I was asked to do a
- 2:56Speaker 2: toast for this young man I've known almost all his
- 3:00Speaker 2: life and he's about to be bride. And I took
- 3:04Speaker 2: a while to think about what am I gonna say?
- 3:08Speaker 2: And then I came up, Oh, that's gonna be perfect.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And I had fun with it. I said, I got
- 3:14Speaker 2: up there and said, I've known David so long. I
- 3:17Speaker 2: think he's he's my son. We're gonna let out the
- 3:21Speaker 2: news officially tonight. I don't know how it ever happened,
- 3:24Speaker 2: but look at him. He's good looking, he looks just
- 3:27Speaker 2: like me. He is my son. Yeah, his father didn't
- 3:31Speaker 2: think it was so funny. His mom was dying last
- 3:34Speaker 2: So you got a lie, Oh I got Oh, I
- 3:36Speaker 2: got all kinds of life.
- 3:37Speaker 3: So that's that's what helps's if you are ever nervous,
- 3:40Speaker 3: that's what helps me.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Or really see, I wasn't nervous. I'm just never nervous.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I've never been nervous speaking in front of a lot
- 3:46Speaker 2: of people. Can I ever tell you the joke that
- 3:47Speaker 2: I made at my sister's wedding? Oh no, so I.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Marrying her and her husband, and I start out basically
- 3:57Speaker 3: by saying, I'm glad this day's finally here because I'm
- 4:00Speaker 3: sick and tired of telling people that I'm marrying my sister.
- 4:04Speaker 2: And that the whole place erupted. It was all I see.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Double meaning jokes are awesome, justin because I guarantee you
- 4:15Speaker 2: some people had to sit there and wait a minute,
- 4:17Speaker 2: what do you mean? And then when it hits, it hits,
- 4:21Speaker 2: and it hits hard, and that's a great joke right there.
- 4:24Speaker 2: It was awesome. Yeah. The reception that I got after
- 4:27Speaker 2: that was, oh, I believe you, I believe you. That's
- 4:31Speaker 2: I just there's nothing better than a double meaning joke
- 4:35Speaker 2: and that that's perfect though. Uh anyway, but big plans
- 4:39Speaker 2: for the weekend. I've got no plans for the weekend. Really, actually,
- 4:42Speaker 2: I've got one plan. I'm gonna I'm gonna completely want
- 4:45Speaker 2: eighty on you here. When's the last time you had
- 4:48Speaker 2: a splinter? Didn't see that guy I'm talking about? Uh wow, Okay,
- 4:56Speaker 2: Justin has done full circle. He is now Michael Bennett.
- 4:58Speaker 2: I am Justin Kaylen for a little bit. When's the
- 5:02Speaker 2: last time I had a splinter? Probably about a year ago?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Really that recently? Yeah, so I hadn't had one in many,
- 5:08Speaker 2: many years. Yes, Well, I was doing some yard work
- 5:11Speaker 2: last night. I got a splinter in my finger, and
- 5:14Speaker 2: I forgot how painful they can be. Oh yeah, So
- 5:17Speaker 2: literally my only task this entire weekend is I've got
- 5:21Speaker 2: to find a way to get this out tweezers. Yeah.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I tried that this morning. It's just it's didn't come out.
- 5:27Speaker 2: It's on like the tip of my finger, so it's
- 5:29Speaker 2: like super sensitive. Ooh, that's the worst. It kind of hurts. Yeah,
- 5:32Speaker 2: keep in mind, you remember I'm in Florida a good
- 5:35Speaker 2: portion of the year, so I'm on a dock trying
- 5:38Speaker 2: to take care of boats and traps, so I get
- 5:40Speaker 2: splinters from the dock. It's not the worst, is I
- 5:44Speaker 2: think it's worse when you get it in your foot
- 5:46Speaker 2: more than your hand. I don't know that I've ever had.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Oh I have, man, you get on some bad docks
- 5:54Speaker 2: and it's it's the wood is just deteriorating away. To me,
- 6:01Speaker 2: that's the worst is the foot because it because it
- 6:04Speaker 2: especially when it goes deep, you can't do anything about it. It
- 6:07Speaker 2: just dissolves or it just goes away. I count my
- 6:09Speaker 2: blessings in with the one on my fingers, I think.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I think. So I don't know how to do it
- 6:13Speaker 2: other than just take a pair of tweezers and dig
- 6:16Speaker 2: it out. And it's just and my wife gets so
- 6:18Speaker 2: gross down below the surface. That's the hard part. So
- 6:21Speaker 2: it's like I almost need a needle to break that
- 6:23Speaker 2: skin first. Yeah, then maybe just get a little alcohol
- 6:27Speaker 2: and dig that thing out. I'm glad we're on here.
- 6:31Speaker 2: What you know. The funny part is, are you ready
- 6:34Speaker 2: for this?
- 6:34Speaker 3: It is National Tequila Day? Oh, don't tell me, Oh
- 6:38Speaker 3: it is.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Don't tell me that Today is a day of two things,
- 6:43Speaker 2: National Tequila Day, and it's National cousins day.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Oh, those, I guess those kind of go together, don't
- 6:51Speaker 3: they Certain parts of the country, they'll go together.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Absolutely, Tequilan cousins there. I mean, uh, it is fun.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So I'll tell you something. A couple of years ago,
- 7:03Speaker 2: I went to a concert down in Nashville with my
- 7:05Speaker 2: son and my cousin, one of my cousins, because you know,
- 7:08Speaker 2: I got thousands of cousins. Do you know how many
- 7:10Speaker 2: cousins you have?
- 7:12Speaker 3: Uh?
- 7:12Speaker 2: Not the exactly, like twenty four, maybe twenty five. I've
- 7:15Speaker 2: got thirty. Uh is that right?
- 7:18Speaker 4: No?
- 7:18Speaker 2: Wait a minute, how many do I have? I have
- 7:21Speaker 2: a bunch. Uh, I've got thirty five cousins. Now do
- 7:28Speaker 2: you count when your cousin gets married? Are they additional
- 7:32Speaker 2: cousins their spouse? Yes? No, okay, so they're not cousins.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Cousin in law's okay, cousin in law. All right, I've
- 7:39Speaker 2: got thirty five cousins. So last year I went to
- 7:42Speaker 2: a concert with my son and one of my favorite cousins, Mary,
- 7:46Speaker 2: and we went to a few bars down there in
- 7:49Speaker 2: Nashville afterwards, and these girls come up to us and say,
- 7:52Speaker 2: we love your wife, And I'm like, my wife's not here,
- 7:58Speaker 2: and they're like, wanting to know, isn't that you're white.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I'm like, no, that's my cousin. And so my cousin
- 8:04Speaker 2: was grossed out. I was grossed out. And not only that,
- 8:08Speaker 2: my cousin is like eight years older than me. Do
- 8:12Speaker 2: I look like I'm old enough to be eight years older?
- 8:15Speaker 2: It just it infuriated me. It's kind of rude to
- 8:18Speaker 2: those girls after that. That doesn't seem like that big
- 8:22Speaker 2: of a deal to me. Really, No, I wouldn't rude
- 8:24Speaker 2: to him, but I just I did have fun with him.
- 8:27Speaker 2: But uh anyway, uh no, all right, I don't know
- 8:31Speaker 2: where were we. I don't know. Oh, National tequila today today. Congratulations,
- 8:35Speaker 2: get a little tequila. Togain like tequila. Well, it depends
- 8:40Speaker 2: if it's really good tequila. I do. Yeah, I love it.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I here's the weird part. I had never had tequila
- 8:47Speaker 2: until a couple of years ago. Was my first time, really,
- 8:50Speaker 2: and this so server brought me some. He asked me
- 8:53Speaker 2: if I would like some tequila, he goes, I said,
- 8:56Speaker 2: I've never had tequila. He goes, If I bring you
- 8:58Speaker 2: a shot at tequila that's really nice, will you drink it?
- 9:01Speaker 2: I said, I'll try it. He brings it over. It
- 9:05Speaker 2: was delicious. So I've never had cheap tequila. I've only
- 9:08Speaker 2: had really nice tequila. I like it all, do you really? Yeah? Okay,
- 9:13Speaker 2: I'm big tequila. You get in trouble with tequila.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I'm one of those guys that so a lot of
- 9:18Speaker 3: my friends don't like tequila. So if we like go
- 9:20Speaker 3: to a Mexican restaurant for their birthday or whatever, and
- 9:23Speaker 3: they bring out the shot, I'm the guy that always
- 9:25Speaker 3: gets there.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Really, now, it's not to say I've never had a margarita.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I've just never had tequila by itself. Sure, because tequila
- 9:31Speaker 2: is in margarita and it is okay, good, all right,
- 9:34Speaker 2: at least I got that right. So all right, let's
- 9:37Speaker 2: I don't have anything going on this weekend either, I
- 9:39Speaker 2: don't know, other than watching the La Familia game on Sunday.
- 9:43Speaker 3: That's gonna be two o'clock. You said you were gonna
- 9:45Speaker 3: take me out on the river. I did, I remember correctly?
- 9:48Speaker 3: Oh okay, well I guess I'm going out in the
- 9:50Speaker 3: river then. So I didn't know I was doing that.
- 9:54Speaker 3: But okay, sounds great. Let's go justin you and me.
- 9:59Speaker 2: But uh, you know, if anybody out there ask me,
- 10:01Speaker 2: is this my spouse, I'm gonna lose it even more so,
- 10:04Speaker 2: all right, I really think, and we're gonna talk familia
- 10:10Speaker 2: a little later, lah Familia whatever. I mean, just let's
- 10:13Speaker 2: change the name. Please. I can't beg whoever's in charge
- 10:18Speaker 2: of this enough to please change this name to something else.
- 10:21Speaker 2: It's time.
- 10:23Speaker 3: But what if they win, though, I think it's that
- 10:26Speaker 3: would be the perfect time to retire it. I would,
- 10:30Speaker 3: I don't know, I would think you would have to
- 10:31Speaker 3: keep that momentum rolling, keep the name.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Really if you win, Yeah, if you win, you keep
- 10:37Speaker 2: the name. If you lose, you gotta get rid of Okay,
- 10:40Speaker 2: I'm good with that. Yeah, all right, I think I'm
- 10:42Speaker 2: good with that. I'm just kind of tired of the
- 10:44Speaker 2: lah Amelia. It doesn't associate with UK anymore. Just like
- 10:50Speaker 2: Beheim's Army. You know exactly who that is, but that
- 10:54Speaker 2: doesn't associate with Syracuse anymore.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but you know who Jim bay Time is. Yeah,
- 11:00Speaker 3: but why are they still Beheim? I mean, I guess
- 11:02Speaker 3: they all played for Bayheim.
- 11:04Speaker 2: But yes, so, I mean within the next dump, within
- 11:08Speaker 2: the next five years, you're saying they should change their name.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Do you think the TBT will last? No, I don't
- 11:15Speaker 2: you think it's going to kind of deteriorate and kind
- 11:17Speaker 2: of fizz away.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Well, we had what sixty I want to say, sixty
- 11:21Speaker 3: teams last year, sixty one, and then this year you
- 11:24Speaker 3: can't even get eight non alumni teams to fill that bracket.
- 11:28Speaker 2: It's done. There's fourteen total teams. Yeah, and it's done. Yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 2: and we're just there.
- 11:35Speaker 3: I like what they're doing with these the regional matchups,
- 11:38Speaker 3: the best of threes and stuff, but it's just it
- 11:41Speaker 3: feels a little too manufactured, Like I thought. I heard
- 11:47Speaker 3: this take yesterday that I agreed with, But I liked
- 11:50Speaker 3: Live Familiar and the Ville more when it just kind
- 11:54Speaker 3: of happened right now now they are now, and yeah,
- 11:57Speaker 3: now they forced it to happen, Like that first year
- 12:01Speaker 3: when they played in the semi final or whatever it was.
- 12:04Speaker 2: That was awesome.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Yeah, because both teams did they won their two games
- 12:08Speaker 3: to get to that spot.
- 12:09Speaker 2: All we knew.
- 12:09Speaker 3: We knew that they had to just each win two games.
- 12:11Speaker 3: They both were able to do it, and then bam,
- 12:13Speaker 3: all of a sudden, you're playing each other, and then
- 12:16Speaker 3: it was gonna be the same last year if Louisville
- 12:18Speaker 3: didn't get knocked out early. But then this year he
- 12:21Speaker 3: come in and it's like, hey, you all are playing.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Not only are you playing, you're playing three games.
- 12:28Speaker 2: It didn't work. I don't hate the idea. I just
- 12:31Speaker 2: hate how forced it fit. It would be a lot
- 12:33Speaker 2: better if you had it to where UK met U
- 12:37Speaker 2: of L in the championship game. That's how you build
- 12:41Speaker 2: up the excitement. I don't know that that could ever happen.
- 12:44Speaker 2: You don't think so.
- 12:45Speaker 3: I mean maybe they they could have maybe set it
- 12:47Speaker 3: up where they meet up in the alumni bracket championship.
- 12:50Speaker 3: But then then who you're gonna have If if you're
- 12:53Speaker 3: wanting to do these regional rivalries, then who do you
- 12:56Speaker 3: pair a lot familiar up with?
- 12:57Speaker 2: Who do you pair the villa up with? Yeah, I
- 13:00Speaker 2: got you. I would probably do it between another SEC
- 13:05Speaker 2: alumni team or in another ACC alumni team for them, respectively.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I mean, I guess Auburn has that team or had that.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I don't. I don't think they're back. I haven't looked
- 13:17Speaker 2: at it enough. I only paid attention to UK U
- 13:19Speaker 2: of L. I'm pretty sure Auburn is in the non alumni.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Bra they are, but it doesn't make Auburn has a
- 13:26Speaker 2: team no offense to Auburn. But I look at Auburn
- 13:30Speaker 2: I think football more than I think basketball.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Hey, did you know that TBT dot com was the
- 13:35Speaker 3: Tampa Bay Times, not the TVT.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Absolutely the best newspaper in the Tampa Bay area. I've
- 13:41Speaker 2: always read Tampa Bay Times. Yeah, it used to be
- 13:45Speaker 2: called something else, by the way, it used to be
- 13:47Speaker 2: called the Saint Pete Times. Huh, But yeah, yeah, TBT.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I love that you did that. But all right, yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 2: war war ready. They're a non alumni team, really war ready.
- 13:58Speaker 2: So I bet they didn't play at Auburn, did they?
- 14:02Speaker 2: I bet a number of them did. Maybe it might
- 14:04Speaker 2: have been one of those things. They couldn't get seven,
- 14:07Speaker 2: so they couldn't field an alumni team. Okay, well well
- 14:10Speaker 2: u K barely did. But I don't know. It's just
- 14:15Speaker 2: I just how many more years you think this will last?
- 14:18Speaker 2: Because there's no way Aaron Harrison, Willie Caley Stein, the
- 14:26Speaker 2: DeAndre Liggins are going to be playing within the next
- 14:30Speaker 2: year or two. Does it make more sense to go
- 14:33Speaker 2: to a model where this thing isn't every summer? Does
- 14:39Speaker 2: it make more sense to go like every other summer
- 14:41Speaker 2: or everything year. I think if you did something like that,
- 14:45Speaker 2: it would become even more uninteresting. People will loose, will
- 14:49Speaker 2: miss out. Just like with different shows that are streamed,
- 14:55Speaker 2: you gotta wait an entire another year for it to
- 14:58Speaker 2: come back, and then you forget about it and you
- 15:00Speaker 2: don't watch it. There's a number of streaming shows that
- 15:03Speaker 2: I have totally forgotten. I loved a show called Shrinking
- 15:07Speaker 2: with Harrison Ford. Thought it was awesome, hilarious, loved every
- 15:12Speaker 2: second of it. I've completely forgotten about it and I
- 15:15Speaker 2: haven't gone back to watch. So I kind of feel
- 15:20Speaker 2: like TBT. If you did that to where you're playing
- 15:23Speaker 2: it every other year, you might forget about it. It's like,
- 15:26Speaker 2: oh that's going on again. Yeah, I'm not interested anymore.
- 15:30Speaker 2: What about every four years now?
- 15:32Speaker 3: I just think, I mean, then at that point, you're
- 15:35Speaker 3: getting those four years to build up the anticipation.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Maybe, so I mean, you do it like an Olympic thing,
- 15:41Speaker 2: do it like a World Cup thing, it might and
- 15:44Speaker 2: then you might get a lot more interest in the players.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Hey I want to play in this. And you save
- 15:48Speaker 2: the money and you make it maybe a four or
- 15:50Speaker 2: five million dollar tournament. Yeah, that might draw more interest.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I can see that, but yeah, I think having it
- 15:59Speaker 2: every year it's a out the fizz away. I mean,
- 16:01Speaker 2: the excitement's not there anymore. And look at the game
- 16:04Speaker 2: for UK night before last. They couldn't even they filled
- 16:09Speaker 2: it up Sunday, but they couldn't even halfway fill it up. Uh.
- 16:13Speaker 2: The other night, it's like, Okay, are we not going
- 16:16Speaker 2: because we feel like we're gonna lose the U of
- 16:18Speaker 2: l Are we not going because what the other night?
- 16:21Speaker 2: One night was enough? Makes you wonder what the crowd's
- 16:23Speaker 2: gonna be like on Sunday. I worry about that. I
- 16:27Speaker 2: worry that it'll be even less people than we're there,
- 16:31Speaker 2: Uh to see them eliminate the bill. I do worry
- 16:35Speaker 2: about that. But uh uh, I think that one thing
- 16:38Speaker 2: that's going on that's really irritating me that I want
- 16:41Speaker 2: to I want to address. So a good friend of mine,
- 16:46Speaker 2: as you know, the one and only Vince Merrill, attended
- 16:49Speaker 2: the game in Lexington the other night, and there is
- 16:53Speaker 2: a radio host here in town we were remain nameless
- 16:59Speaker 2: that called him out for going to Lexington and getting
- 17:05Speaker 2: pictures with UK media and saying you're wearing a blue shirt,
- 17:12Speaker 2: you're not even a U of L guy, and telling
- 17:15Speaker 2: him he needs to leave, and Vince he can't help himself.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I listen, I consider Vince Merrill one of my closest friends,
- 17:29Speaker 2: and he couldn't help himself, which I wish he would
- 17:33Speaker 2: help himself. But he tweeted back, dude, I was there.
- 17:37Speaker 2: I had on a green shirt. And now you got
- 17:40Speaker 2: people on both sides uk U of L. Then you
- 17:43Speaker 2: got people at U of L that are split saying, dude,
- 17:46Speaker 2: he's just a party. You know the same thing you
- 17:48Speaker 2: said about Kenny Payne the other day that he's there
- 17:53Speaker 2: to destroy. He's not there to destroy any program at all.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Neither was Kenny Payne. But it's just like, this is
- 18:00Speaker 2: getting ridiculous to where U of our media member is
- 18:06Speaker 2: calling out one of their coaches that he's really not
- 18:09Speaker 2: a U of L fan. What do you need real sports?
- 18:13Speaker 2: Do we really? What do you mean by that?
- 18:15Speaker 3: I mean there's just there's nothing going on, so that's
- 18:18Speaker 3: why you get situations like this.
- 18:20Speaker 2: But isn't that ridiculous? I mean, I can't imagine calling
- 18:24Speaker 2: out one of your coaches because who came from your rival?
- 18:30Speaker 2: That's what they think, and they think he's still a
- 18:33Speaker 2: part of that program that he came from. I just
- 18:38Speaker 2: think it's silly and I would never do that if
- 18:41Speaker 2: that had happened, if I was vince MARYL I probably
- 18:44Speaker 2: would never go on that radio show again. I probably
- 18:47Speaker 2: would not even go on that radio station again. For
- 18:50Speaker 2: calling me out like that, I just thought that was
- 18:52Speaker 2: kind of a jerk move. I mean, the pictures I
- 18:55Speaker 2: saw of him with other media members, they had LS down.
- 18:59Speaker 2: He didn't, no, and so why if they had l saim?
- 19:02Speaker 2: All right, all right, let me ask you this. And
- 19:05Speaker 2: then some people saying, well, he still loves UK. He
- 19:08Speaker 2: might still love UK, but he's at U of L. Now,
- 19:13Speaker 2: It's okay. If he spent the better part of his
- 19:17Speaker 2: career at UK. You mean he's all of a sudden
- 19:20Speaker 2: supposed to hate his time at UK and I just
- 19:24Speaker 2: love you and that's it. Of course, he probably and
- 19:27Speaker 2: I don't know this for a fact, because this is
- 19:29Speaker 2: one thing he and I don't talk about. I don't
- 19:32Speaker 2: know if he still has an infinity of UK, but
- 19:34Speaker 2: I can imagine he would. You gotta believe he still
- 19:38Speaker 2: loves UK. Yeah, And there's nothing wrong with that, Absolutely
- 19:42Speaker 2: nothing wrong with that. Guess what am I supposed to
- 19:46Speaker 2: now dislike Vince Merrill because he went to U of L.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Is that what's required of me? Here's the thing, I'll
- 19:52Speaker 2: tell the truth. And I've not said much about this.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Vince has gotten me to get to know Jeff Brohm,
- 20:00Speaker 2: and I'm to the point now where I really like
- 20:04Speaker 2: Jeff Brohm.
- 20:06Speaker 3: What is that a problem? You're a Kentucky fanke exactly.
- 20:10Speaker 3: You can't like him exactly. And I think that's the
- 20:13Speaker 3: silliest thing.
- 20:14Speaker 2: I missed the days where you had Denny Crumb, former
- 20:18Speaker 2: basketball coach at University Louisville, actually had a best friend
- 20:23Speaker 2: named Joby Hall and they were very close. I know
- 20:28Speaker 2: this for a fact. And Joby Hall is the UK
- 20:31Speaker 2: head coach. I mean, oh my gosh, they're best friends.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Can you imagine what is wrong with people liking U
- 20:38Speaker 2: of L that are diehard UK fans. There's nothing wrong
- 20:41Speaker 2: with it. I don't get this, this whole guy over
- 20:45Speaker 2: at the station here in town, that's all over Vince Maryland.
- 20:48Speaker 2: I really don't. I mean, I think it's rather silly
- 20:51Speaker 2: and kind of sad. Like I said, you don't have
- 20:53Speaker 2: anything to talk about? Yeah, I guess so, I guess.
- 20:58Speaker 3: So.
- 20:58Speaker 2: It just it makes the guy look like a clown.
- 21:00Speaker 2: It just does because that's that's the part of ryle.
- 21:03Speaker 2: You've heard me say this, haven't you. That's the part
- 21:06Speaker 2: of rivalries I hate the most is because it brings
- 21:09Speaker 2: in that one word hate. I just hate the word hate.
- 21:14Speaker 2: And I don't want to hate U of L. I
- 21:17Speaker 2: don't want to hate Tennessee. I don't want to hate Duke.
- 21:20Speaker 2: That takes too much energy out. It's just like they're
- 21:23Speaker 2: a good team. I get a little envious of them.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Good for them for succeeding, but I'm not gonna sit
- 21:28Speaker 2: here and hate on them. I just That's why I
- 21:31Speaker 2: will never hate you of L. I just don't. And
- 21:34Speaker 2: that's why I just I like to tease them. But anyway,
- 21:39Speaker 2: I just it's kind of sad that this guy's called
- 21:41Speaker 2: that Vince Merrill, And I'm not gonna dislike him because
- 21:44Speaker 2: he went to U of L. I'm good with it.
- 21:46Speaker 2: He had an opportunity, had an opportunity to go work
- 21:49Speaker 2: with a good friend, and guess what the other good
- 21:52Speaker 2: friend he was working with, what we're treating him really well?
- 21:54Speaker 2: So he saw the end and he's no longer there exactly,
- 21:57Speaker 2: he could have been out of a job at foresight. Well. Absolutely,
- 22:02Speaker 2: do I think Vince would ever go back if the
- 22:04Speaker 2: opportunity to present itself to the UK, Absolutely he would,
- 22:10Speaker 2: and part of him does miss I'm sure miss UK.
- 22:14Speaker 2: And that's okay. Don't worry about U of L people.
- 22:17Speaker 2: It's okay if he misses a place he worked for
- 22:20Speaker 2: a long time and put a lot of energy in
- 22:22Speaker 2: a lot of his time and made a lot of
- 22:24Speaker 2: money there. Now he's at your school, celebrated. Don't hate it.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, man, I just it makes part of
- 22:32Speaker 2: me gets me upset about that. Part of me makes
- 22:34Speaker 2: me laugh about it. I don't know how to feel
- 22:36Speaker 2: about this, but just frustrated me a little bit. I
- 22:39Speaker 2: get it.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't realize it got as big as it did,
- 22:42Speaker 3: but it's true.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Oh it's gotten really bad on Twitter and it seems
- 22:46Speaker 2: to be getting bigger and bigger. And that's where I
- 22:49Speaker 2: think Vince is, like, Vince, get off Twitter, man, you
- 22:53Speaker 2: don't need to be talking about this. You're you're actually
- 22:56Speaker 2: fueling this and all these UOFL fans are really calling
- 22:59Speaker 2: out on both sides. They're they're either pro Vince or
- 23:02Speaker 2: they're pro with the little radio guy over there at
- 23:05Speaker 2: ESPN said, So, I just I just shut up. Anyway,
- 23:10Speaker 2: all the y'all should shut up. But whatever you want.
- 23:13Speaker 2: If you want to support Finnce, go ahead, but I
- 23:17Speaker 2: listen to you want to keep a great coach and
- 23:18Speaker 2: a great recruiter. Uh, those haters better shut up. So anyway,
- 23:23Speaker 2: I just I just feel bad for him. So is
- 23:26Speaker 2: it wrong for me to like Jeff Brahm and Vince Merril? Exactly?
- 23:31Speaker 2: I would you like a coach if he went from
- 23:33Speaker 2: IU to Purdue depends how I felt about him before,
- 23:37Speaker 2: if you were good friends with him, I mean, yeah,
- 23:40Speaker 2: probably exactly. So I just I don't like the hate stuff.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I just I don't. I liked it when and I
- 23:47Speaker 2: think Dinny Crumb and Joby Hall did a phenomenal job
- 23:51Speaker 2: at really showing people that, hey, we can still be
- 23:54Speaker 2: best friends even though we coach two different schools that
- 23:57Speaker 2: are competitors. Anyway, I just and I think what refueled
- 24:01Speaker 2: it back is the whole John Caliperi Rick Patino thing
- 24:05Speaker 2: that made it negative again. I just I'd like to
- 24:08Speaker 2: see it positive, that we can celebrate everyone's success anyway,
- 24:13Speaker 2: all right, I don't mean to get on that bandwagon
- 24:16Speaker 2: note that I know. Sorry about that, but it just
- 24:19Speaker 2: kind of frustrated me. I just can't imagine. Do you
- 24:23Speaker 2: think that I believe will Stein still roots for you?
- 24:26Speaker 2: Of well, he might, No, you don't think so at all.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Like I said the earlier this week, I don't think
- 24:31Speaker 2: he ever did. Maybe not. I don't know if I
- 24:35Speaker 2: agree with I think he did. I think he when
- 24:37Speaker 2: he was on that team, I definitely think he did. Yeah,
- 24:39Speaker 2: I mean, and he probably wanted UK to lose every
- 24:42Speaker 2: single game because UK didn't recruit him. No, I do.
- 24:45Speaker 2: I guarantee you he wanted UK to lose every single
- 24:48Speaker 2: game because he was jealous that he wasn't ask to
- 24:52Speaker 2: go play for his beloved school. I couldn't buy that
- 24:54Speaker 2: I could anyway, all right, five O two three eight
- 24:56Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty. If you want to call in five
- 24:59Speaker 2: oh two four one four fourteen fifty, if you want
- 25:02Speaker 2: to text it. I'd like to hear from our U
- 25:04Speaker 2: of L friends that listen to this show and see
- 25:06Speaker 2: what they think. That's what I would like to hear.
- 25:10Speaker 2: And then are UK friends that you know that might
- 25:14Speaker 2: disagree with you? Tell me why you disagree. We'll talk
- 25:16Speaker 2: about it. Uh, but anyway, we gotta take I've gone
- 25:18Speaker 2: John one long and I'm sorry about that. Tho, yeah,
- 25:21Speaker 2: I know longer than that. So stay right there. We
- 25:23Speaker 2: got a lot more of just the cats coming right up.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Fy Jean Sweet firm club is looking at her. See
- 25:33Speaker 2: it last time?
- 25:36Speaker 3: You know?
- 25:36Speaker 4: So no, no, no, no, no no.
- 25:43Speaker 2: The okay, that's quite a clip. You go from flow
- 26:05Speaker 2: Rada to this.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Well I was I was gonna come back with another
- 26:11Speaker 3: song similar to Florada. Yes, but then I remember last
- 26:15Speaker 3: minute that Okay, Oh that's right.
- 26:18Speaker 2: This song is called Tequila. I forgot that, Okay, all right, then,
- 26:22Speaker 2: well I'll accept that. That's why I put it five
- 26:24Speaker 2: two four one four fourteen fifty one text in on
- 26:26Speaker 2: the Whisky Thief text line. As one person just did, Scoots,
- 26:31Speaker 2: the Steelers should look into getting your boy, Pavia. It
- 26:36Speaker 2: would be a dream scenario. You'd have one quarterback on
- 26:40Speaker 2: the team who was disowned by his family and another
- 26:44Speaker 2: quarterback who has a certain family member that a lot
- 26:47Speaker 2: of people would love to get close to. Not only that,
- 26:50Speaker 2: but both quarterbacks have a track record of having a
- 26:53Speaker 2: great uh having great personalities.
- 26:57Speaker 3: I'm out on Pavia far away from the Steelers as
- 27:01Speaker 3: humanly possible.
- 27:02Speaker 2: You dislike him so much and you think his mom
- 27:06Speaker 2: would save you know, his the affinity that you have
- 27:10Speaker 2: for him, So can't come out and say, bleep the
- 27:12Speaker 2: voters after the heisman. Okay, all right, well see I
- 27:16Speaker 2: agree with that. I mean I think that, uh, that
- 27:20Speaker 2: really hurt his stock more ways than he'll ever know.
- 27:23Speaker 2: He just he came off looking like such a baby. Yeah,
- 27:26Speaker 2: he looked like a douchebag. I mean, let's just say it.
- 27:28Speaker 2: He just came across as man. Is that the real
- 27:31Speaker 2: Diego Pavia right there? You don't do stuff, and you
- 27:35Speaker 2: gotta believe his agent is like, dude, you just you
- 27:39Speaker 2: took so much money out of your pocket and mine.
- 27:43Speaker 2: I firmly believe that John here. Hey, Michael, I hope
- 27:46Speaker 2: Lot Familia continues to find ways to win. I'm looking
- 27:49Speaker 2: forward to watching them play. I also agree with you, Michael,
- 27:52Speaker 2: when it comes to Diego Pavia. The young man has
- 27:54Speaker 2: a lot of confidence and does have the numbers to
- 27:57Speaker 2: back it up. He is like the old video game
- 28:00Speaker 2: character Mega Man on the football field. I hope my
- 28:03Speaker 2: Chiefs can pick him up. Look, if any coach can
- 28:08Speaker 2: fix a couple a little attitude problem, that is Andy Reid,
- 28:12Speaker 2: Diego Pavia would benefit a lot with playing behind mahomes
- 28:16Speaker 2: and learning. What do you think about Andy Reid? I
- 28:21Speaker 2: like Candy Reid. I do too. By the way, I
- 28:25Speaker 2: think one of my favorite commercials was when he was
- 28:28Speaker 2: doing the whole State Farm thing and he's painting what
- 28:33Speaker 2: mustaches or all kinds of stuff on people's faces, and
- 28:36Speaker 2: then he acts like he didn't do anything wrong. I
- 28:39Speaker 2: thought he was hilarious. No, that wasn't as good as
- 28:41Speaker 2: the Nuggies one. I don't remember the Nuggies one.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Or he was like he reached his hand over the table.
- 28:47Speaker 3: He's like, let's try again with those Nuggies.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Don't remember that. Okay. One person said get a needle
- 28:55Speaker 2: and help to keep poking the splinter. Okay, so there
- 28:59Speaker 2: you go. I just need a needle, and I think
- 29:01Speaker 2: I'm good to go. You just need a needle, yeah,
- 29:04Speaker 2: and I think I'm good. I see. Why would you
- 29:06Speaker 2: want to take a needle? Is I just hold on?
- 29:10Speaker 2: When you can just take a pair of tweezers that
- 29:12Speaker 2: are blunt and not sharp and pick it out that way?
- 29:17Speaker 3: Because that's not they they advise that you break the
- 29:20Speaker 3: skin with the needle.
- 29:21Speaker 2: You can break the skin with tweezers, not with Yes, you.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Can now with as painful as it is. Michael, I'm
- 29:28Speaker 3: the one that has it on my finger when you're
- 29:31Speaker 3: you're If I could transfer it to you and try
- 29:33Speaker 3: to watch you take it out with tweezers, I would
- 29:35Speaker 3: love to.
- 29:35Speaker 2: But I that's what I do every time. I prefer
- 29:38Speaker 2: tweezers over needles.
- 29:40Speaker 3: I mean, I do too, but I don't have a
- 29:43Speaker 3: choice with this one. I can't get it with tweezers, Okay,
- 29:45Speaker 3: even if they're sharp points.
- 29:48Speaker 2: One person said, or Josh said, TBT should be done
- 29:52Speaker 2: every two years, So there you go. That's his choice.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Every two years. Okay, I'd be down with that. I
- 30:01Speaker 2: just think within two years it's still a little too much,
- 30:03Speaker 2: and then you forget about that year, and then I
- 30:06Speaker 2: don't know. I mean, I'm sure this is the livelihood
- 30:09Speaker 2: of the people that have developed this tournament. So they
- 30:11Speaker 2: want to have that paycheck every single year. Well, you're
- 30:14Speaker 2: getting to a point now where you're not gonna have
- 30:16Speaker 2: a paycheck at all because of this tournament. It's just
- 30:18Speaker 2: gonna be done, and I just think this is the
- 30:21Speaker 2: last year. Who is UK gonna get next year? Again?
- 30:26Speaker 2: I look at the players that are on this team now,
- 30:29Speaker 2: I see no way DeAndre Ligan's coming back. I see
- 30:33Speaker 2: no way Willie caley Stein coming back. And I think
- 30:36Speaker 2: Andrew Harrison Aaron Harri which is Andrew?
- 30:40Speaker 3: Do you really I think if you can get both
- 30:42Speaker 3: Harrison's heck, maybe at that juncture you can go out
- 30:46Speaker 3: and get John Wall. Maybe Oscar will have realized that
- 30:49Speaker 3: his NBA dreams never gonna come true and he'll come play.
- 30:52Speaker 3: I mean, I do still think there's a number of
- 30:54Speaker 3: guys out there that could join this team, would want
- 30:57Speaker 3: to join this team and and be good for this team.
- 31:01Speaker 2: But that's UK. Yeah, you got to get the other
- 31:04Speaker 2: teams too. I think UK can do that. Uh, and
- 31:08Speaker 2: not only I think John Wall would be fun. What
- 31:11Speaker 2: if you had no offense to John Hood, But what
- 31:13Speaker 2: if you had Rajon Rondo coaching the team, You had
- 31:17Speaker 2: DeMarcus Cousins out there, you have a number of the
- 31:21Speaker 2: players that are coming off their contracts and are done
- 31:23Speaker 2: with the NBA, and have them join this team. I
- 31:26Speaker 2: think UK would dominate this tournament and the fan base
- 31:30Speaker 2: would go nuts because guess what, you're getting to watch
- 31:33Speaker 2: a lot of players you haven't seen play in years
- 31:35Speaker 2: come back and play at UK. I think at that point,
- 31:38Speaker 2: if you get a team like that, you could fill
- 31:40Speaker 2: up Reperina no offense to Historic Memorial Coliseum. You go
- 31:46Speaker 2: play those games at ROUGH That'll be like I'm not
- 31:48Speaker 2: saying they'll be sold out, but I guarantee you the
- 31:52Speaker 2: bottom level would be full and a good portion of
- 31:55Speaker 2: the upper level would be full full. I'd agree with that. Yeah,
- 31:59Speaker 2: I think think that would be a lot of fun.
- 32:02Speaker 2: But one person said, let's see here, let me get
- 32:06Speaker 2: to the right one. I am a UK fan, but
- 32:10Speaker 2: one of the best people I have met is Greg Brohm.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Well there you go. I think that whole family is
- 32:19Speaker 2: really nice. Greg Brom's the oldest, isn't he don't.
- 32:24Speaker 3: I don't know their family tree at all. I don't
- 32:26Speaker 3: need I mean, he looks the oldest, so I would say, yeah.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Yeah, listen, the more I'm around, I could see I
- 32:36Speaker 2: think he is the oldest if I remember correctly, Greg, Yeah,
- 32:40Speaker 2: Greg brom Is you got Greg, then Jeff and then
- 32:43Speaker 2: uh who is the last quarterback? Brian Brohm? I think
- 32:46Speaker 2: that's how the family tree goes. And I just I've
- 32:49Speaker 2: gotten to a point where I told Jeff this to
- 32:53Speaker 2: his face. I said, I don't want to like you,
- 32:56Speaker 2: but I'm starting to. He just laughs. I just I
- 33:00Speaker 2: enjoyed being around him. He's fun, he's a good guy.
- 33:04Speaker 2: I think the reason he likes me is because he
- 33:07Speaker 2: knows I don't really want anything from him, because he did.
- 33:10Speaker 2: I shouldn't get into that. But anyway, Craig is fifty six,
- 33:14Speaker 2: jeffs fifty five. Oka, Wow, one year, Brian's forty so wow.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Sure what happened there?
- 33:23Speaker 3: Wow?
- 33:24Speaker 2: That's good, old, healthy Catholic family right there. But anyway,
- 33:29Speaker 2: speaking of that, I like this segue. USA today came
- 33:36Speaker 2: out with the best high school football teams in every state.
- 33:40Speaker 2: I don't think it's hard to pick which one in
- 33:43Speaker 2: the state of Kentucky they consider the best. Is it
- 33:47Speaker 2: high school? High school? I mean from everything I've heard,
- 33:52Speaker 2: i'd say Boyle County, Oh would you really? Yeah? Oh No,
- 33:55Speaker 2: it's not the team they picked. I'm really surprised. Next
- 33:59Speaker 2: saying no, st X hasn't been good in a while.
- 34:04Speaker 3: SAX was great the last two years. Trinity Trinity really
- 34:10Speaker 3: they picked Trinity. They were thirteen to two last season.
- 34:15Speaker 3: I think Boyle County will interesting. I think they'll beat Trinity.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Do you really Yeah, boll County, I tell you what,
- 34:22Speaker 2: they are a force to be reckoned.
- 34:24Speaker 3: With every year. They're a power, they really are. But
- 34:27Speaker 3: they've gotten a lot of love this offseason.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Have they? How do you know that I haven't paid attention.
- 34:33Speaker 3: To follow high school football? No, I'm three four weeks
- 34:36Speaker 3: away from having to call some games.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Really, I think this has to be the year I
- 34:41Speaker 2: join you. I just I have threatened you the last
- 34:45Speaker 2: two Why are you laughing about that? You don't want
- 34:47Speaker 2: it to happen? There goes the quality of my broadcast.
- 34:50Speaker 2: All the quality of your broadcast is gone. Really, I
- 34:54Speaker 2: think I add a certain you know. It feels like
- 34:59Speaker 2: a make a wish thing? What? Wow? You are really
- 35:04Speaker 2: knocking on Michael Bennett today. Thanks a lot. I think
- 35:08Speaker 2: I would be a great addition to your broadcast. Clearly,
- 35:12Speaker 2: what if I'm on the sideline reporting there? No, I'd
- 35:15Speaker 2: want you in the booth. You would why to control me?
- 35:18Speaker 3: Well? That and I just I don't know. Maybe you
- 35:20Speaker 3: could provide something in the booth. No, I can't provide anything.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Are you kidding? Well, then why would I have you?
- 35:25Speaker 2: Because it would be fun. It doesn't matter what I'm
- 35:28Speaker 2: providing or not. We would have fun get kicked out.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Do you have somebody else that's here on the color
- 35:36Speaker 2: side with you? No?
- 35:37Speaker 3: I do everything so long you are bite, then you
- 35:39Speaker 3: definitely you have to have me. I love calling you know.
- 35:43Speaker 3: When I first started doing football games by myself, it
- 35:45Speaker 3: was a real big challenge. Yeah, but now I love
- 35:49Speaker 3: the challenge of doing a game by myself.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Really, to me, it'd be boring. I would want to
- 35:53Speaker 2: back and forth, just like when you and I and
- 35:55Speaker 2: it is a back and forth. It's a back and
- 35:57Speaker 2: forth in my head.
- 35:58Speaker 3: No, you having a conversation with me the whole time, Well,
- 36:01Speaker 3: it's great.
- 36:02Speaker 2: You might want a conversation with just me. Then you
- 36:05Speaker 2: might like to listen to that, because you talk about
- 36:07Speaker 2: an argument. I would be going squirrel on everything on
- 36:10Speaker 2: both sides and probably not even talking about the game.
- 36:15Speaker 2: I was just like, look at that Dann guy, Look
- 36:17Speaker 2: at that. No you look at the cheerleaders, look at that.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Look at these families. They're not even watching the game.
- 36:22Speaker 2: It's just like, neither is Michael Bennett trying to announce
- 36:24Speaker 2: the game.
- 36:25Speaker 3: There is there is some stuff outside of the game
- 36:27Speaker 3: that you do have to talk about because you want
- 36:29Speaker 3: to set that scene in the environment for people, but
- 36:32Speaker 3: maybe not the whole game.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I like the interaction between two different people,
- 36:39Speaker 2: so I just feel like it would be better to
- 36:42Speaker 2: have two people up there with you having a good time.
- 36:45Speaker 2: I mean, if you want to come to a game
- 36:46Speaker 2: with me for free, to follow me, Oh see, there
- 36:50Speaker 2: there comes the truth right there. For free. Of course,
- 36:53Speaker 2: you think I'm gonna be sitting there asking for money
- 36:56Speaker 2: and take money out of your pocket. You think I'm
- 36:58Speaker 2: gonna do that, You had to clarify that you have
- 37:01Speaker 2: to come for free. Wouldn't come out of my pocket,
- 37:03Speaker 2: and I would never. I would just come there because
- 37:08Speaker 2: I enjoy it. I just want to have fun. Yeah,
- 37:10Speaker 2: if there's a high school out there that wants Michael
- 37:12Speaker 2: Been to come there and you know, and do a game,
- 37:16Speaker 2: I'll be glad to do it for free. I don't care. Yeah,
- 37:19Speaker 2: I'll come there and talk to your student body too
- 37:21Speaker 2: about what it means to be a successful business person.
- 37:26Speaker 2: And I'll describe other people that have been witnessed, not me. No,
- 37:32Speaker 2: that is fun. Though. I've been asked a few times
- 37:35Speaker 2: to come and talk about my life and uh and
- 37:38Speaker 2: business and and uh all kinds of stuff. I've got
- 37:41Speaker 2: to I have enjoyed that so many times. I've got
- 37:44Speaker 2: to do that in November. Oh do you really for
- 37:47Speaker 2: the first time in my life. Yeah, I've got to go. Wait,
- 37:50Speaker 2: I got to hear more about this. What are you
- 37:52Speaker 2: talking about?
- 37:52Speaker 3: So I've got to go into a classroom and basically
- 37:55Speaker 3: meet with these students for an hour and talk about
- 37:58Speaker 3: radio and what it's like to work in radio.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Who asked you the school? What, sirle is this?
- 38:04Speaker 3: I guess a company that works for North Harrison, but
- 38:08Speaker 3: I guess a company that works within the school. I
- 38:11Speaker 3: guess it's technically who asked me? But yeah, yeah, I
- 38:14Speaker 3: told him. I didn't even hesitate. I was like, yeah,
- 38:15Speaker 3: I'll be there. I'm in. And then I got to thinking,
- 38:18Speaker 3: how the hell am I going to fill an hour
- 38:20Speaker 3: talking about radio?
- 38:21Speaker 2: I think it's easy. If there's a school out there
- 38:24Speaker 2: that once Michael Ben to come, I'm there. And I've
- 38:28Speaker 2: been asked a few times to do this. My own
- 38:31Speaker 2: alma mater, Christian Academy of Louisville has never asked me
- 38:34Speaker 2: to come back and speak, which I find funny. It's like, Okay,
- 38:38Speaker 2: you know how you get your alumnus to donate money
- 38:41Speaker 2: back to your school. You asked them to come speak
- 38:43Speaker 2: and I'd get money, then they don't. It makes it
- 38:47Speaker 2: just hear that cow. No, we're not doing that. But
- 38:50Speaker 2: uh anyway, I just I love speaking to young people
- 38:54Speaker 2: because I feel like I'm one of them, even though
- 38:56Speaker 2: they look at me it's like, dude, you're not one
- 38:58Speaker 2: of us. Yeah, I mean, I'm excited about it. I
- 39:00Speaker 2: just I should be.
- 39:01Speaker 3: I don't know how to fill an hour just talking
- 39:03Speaker 3: about radio or I think I could maybe feel like
- 39:06Speaker 3: twelve minutes. In that case, you bring me and then
- 39:10Speaker 3: I'll open it up for questions and no, no, no,
- 39:14Speaker 3: but you do need to interact with them.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Man.
- 39:18Speaker 3: They really scheduled early, by the way. I mean, this
- 39:22Speaker 3: is this has been a lot. It's been on the
- 39:24Speaker 3: calendar since April.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Okay, wow, that's interesting. All right, we gotta take a break.
- 39:30Speaker 2: When we come back. I want to talk a little
- 39:32Speaker 2: bit about football and also what did the old miss
- 39:35Speaker 2: guy say yesterday? Was he brilliant or is he kind
- 39:39Speaker 2: of a goof? I don't know. Let's talk about that
- 39:42Speaker 2: next stay right there. Justicat's coming up, Turned.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Down, Turned Down?
- 40:26Speaker 2: Turn who sings this song? DJ Sneak and Little John. Okay,
- 40:38Speaker 2: I like it when that bass hits. That's that's it.
- 40:40Speaker 2: And you don't unfortunately, you don't get that kind of
- 40:42Speaker 2: bass on the radio show. But that's okay. It's just
- 40:45Speaker 2: it's a different way. Huh. What does that mean? I
- 40:50Speaker 2: like feeling the bass and I don't feel it, you know,
- 40:56Speaker 2: physically feeling it when you're in your car.
- 40:58Speaker 3: If you go back and listen to the podcas oh
- 41:00Speaker 3: is that okay? It happens found anywhere you search for podcasts.
- 41:04Speaker 3: Just search just the Cats. Okay, Yeah, thank you for
- 41:06Speaker 3: putting that one. Yeah, there you go, unless I forget
- 41:09Speaker 3: to upload it exactly, which happened yesterday. But that's okay.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Uh ole Miss head coach Pete Golding uh is either
- 41:17Speaker 2: potentially the biggest jerk or is one of the most
- 41:21Speaker 2: brilliant guys out there today in coaching and uh with
- 41:26Speaker 2: his comments that he had at the SEC Football Media Days,
- 41:29Speaker 2: I want to raise you this quote and let's talk
- 41:31Speaker 2: about this because I don't even want to say anything
- 41:34Speaker 2: yet because I don't want to influence or encourage you
- 41:36Speaker 2: in any way. Okay, let me put it to you
- 41:40Speaker 2: this way, your reporter, would you quit your job before
- 41:45Speaker 2: interviewing for another job or being offered another job? No,
- 41:49Speaker 2: nobody would. But we have a portal we can go
- 41:54Speaker 2: in with a do not contact. I'm going to quit
- 41:58Speaker 2: my job where I'm getting paid, and I'm going to
- 42:00Speaker 2: go to go and saying I need a new job,
- 42:04Speaker 2: which nobody can call me to interview. What have we created?
- 42:09Speaker 2: So we've created it on a top of on top
- 42:12Speaker 2: of representation for these players, right, and that that's it's there,
- 42:18Speaker 2: that it's theirrresponsibility to make sure they get paid really
- 42:21Speaker 2: well and that they also have opportunities. So by design,
- 42:25Speaker 2: it's put a lot of people in bad positions. Let's
- 42:28Speaker 2: not act like recruiting in college football for the last
- 42:30Speaker 2: one hundred years is the most moral thing. What are
- 42:33Speaker 2: we talking about here? Tell me what you think justin
- 42:40Speaker 2: when you hear those comments, But where did this come from?
- 42:43Speaker 2: What do you mean this is from football? When I
- 42:46Speaker 2: was asking him questions, Well, okay, I just need more
- 42:49Speaker 2: background info. Okay, I don't feel like just hearing the quote.
- 42:52Speaker 2: I know what's going on. You know, we had the
- 42:56Speaker 2: whole accusation about from Dabbos Swing and Clemson that he
- 43:02Speaker 2: was recruiting players and tampering with players before they were
- 43:07Speaker 2: in the portal and he was trying to encourage them
- 43:10Speaker 2: to leave Clemson and come to Old Miss, And Dabo
- 43:13Speaker 2: Sweeney started poking the bear and say, listen, you got
- 43:17Speaker 2: this new guy at Old Miss, that Pete Golding, that's
- 43:21Speaker 2: tampering with my players. Okay, yeah, so somebody was asking
- 43:26Speaker 2: about all this. I saw this comment, and I'm like, man,
- 43:30Speaker 2: that sounds like a real jerk. But then when I
- 43:35Speaker 2: started thinking about it, He's not wrong, no at all.
- 43:40Speaker 2: He's absolutely and so to me it kind of changed
- 43:43Speaker 2: how I felt about because to me, Pete Golding was
- 43:46Speaker 2: coming across as a real jerk, even more so than
- 43:51Speaker 2: Lane Kiffen. But honestly, he's right about everything he's saying. Here,
- 43:58Speaker 2: what do you think he is? I'm right there with you.
- 44:01Speaker 2: I mean, there's a lot of things within college athletics
- 44:04Speaker 2: that I'm not a fan of, and that's gotta be
- 44:07Speaker 2: one of numb top of the list.
- 44:08Speaker 3: Exactly. Yeah, I mean it is ridiculous. I mean, but
- 44:12Speaker 3: at the end of the day. You have to fill
- 44:14Speaker 3: a team. But that's not always an easy thing to do,
- 44:17Speaker 3: especially when, like he said, there's guys in the portal
- 44:20Speaker 3: where do not contact Now did you know this? Did
- 44:24Speaker 3: you know if somebody enters the portal with it do
- 44:26Speaker 3: not contact That doesn't mean don't contact them, That just
- 44:30Speaker 3: means contact my agent.
- 44:32Speaker 2: So I didn't know that. Really, it literally.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Means just do not contact me, as the player, contact
- 44:38Speaker 3: my agent. Yeuh, okay, I learned that recently and I
- 44:42Speaker 3: was like, oh, that's fascinating.
- 44:43Speaker 2: That's interesting. Okay, yeah, but you know what he is
- 44:46Speaker 2: right though, well you shouldn't. It does happen people quit
- 44:51Speaker 2: their jobs without having another job in line, and there
- 44:55Speaker 2: have been mistakes. Man. I've got a guy I've known
- 44:58Speaker 2: for a long time that quit his job and didn't
- 45:01Speaker 2: have the next job in line, and guess what, he's
- 45:03Speaker 2: still looking for another job. You just don't do that.
- 45:06Speaker 2: But this whole situation where we're doing too much for
- 45:10Speaker 2: the athletes and there has to be some give and take.
- 45:13Speaker 2: And right now, the athletes in college today are taking
- 45:19Speaker 2: too much, and you know what, they're not giving back
- 45:22Speaker 2: to the schools. And I think the coaches are getting
- 45:25Speaker 2: tired of it.
- 45:25Speaker 3: Athletes in general are taking too much professional college, every
- 45:30Speaker 3: level of sports.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Guys are getting paid too much. Oh oh, absolutely they're
- 45:34Speaker 2: getting paid too much. But I just I want to
- 45:36Speaker 2: talk about this a little more when we come back,
- 45:38Speaker 2: because you're right about that. But I think there's too
- 45:40Speaker 2: much take on the college side than there is on
- 45:44Speaker 2: the pro side, because I still think that the teams
- 45:48Speaker 2: in professional sports, I think it's pretty even up there.
- 45:53Speaker 2: College it's not at all. It's not, especially when you
- 45:57Speaker 2: can leave and come and go as you want to
- 46:00Speaker 2: over school after a year, no contract, nothing, there's no loyalty,
- 46:04Speaker 2: there's nothing there anymore. And I'm just just like, dudes,
- 46:07Speaker 2: y'all gotta change this somehow, some way. And the thought
- 46:12Speaker 2: of you've got the tampering going on with players, and
- 46:16Speaker 2: then the thought of what uh Sankee said earlier this
- 46:19Speaker 2: week that we're gonna do self governance. Man, that's gonna
- 46:23Speaker 2: be even worse. That's just a a uh prescription for
- 46:27Speaker 2: just a total debacle in COUG sports. We gotta take
- 46:31Speaker 2: a break. Hour two coming right.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Up, Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 46:56Speaker 2: All right now number two on this Friday, as we
- 47:00Speaker 2: get ready to take off and have a nice weekend,
- 47:03Speaker 2: which I'm looking forward to.
- 47:04Speaker 3: I'm gonna have a great weekend now because I no
- 47:07Speaker 3: longer have plans. Michael Bennett, splinter is out of my finger.
- 47:12Speaker 2: You told us at the beginning to show you didn't
- 47:14Speaker 2: have plans. Well, I told you that it's continued to
- 47:16Speaker 2: have no plan. Well, I told you. Thank you for
- 47:18Speaker 2: telling us that you're continuing to have no plans over
- 47:21Speaker 2: the weekend.
- 47:22Speaker 3: I told you the only thing I had planned was
- 47:23Speaker 3: getting that splinter out of my finger. I did it
- 47:25Speaker 3: on Friday. You really the rest of the weekend free.
- 47:30Speaker 2: I can't imagine having a whole weekend planned around getting
- 47:34Speaker 2: a splinter out of your finger. Wow, that's that's now.
- 47:38Speaker 2: I'm beginning to understand why you don't have a girlfriend
- 47:41Speaker 2: or a wife, So that's your whole plan. Can you
- 47:44Speaker 2: imagine telling your wife, honey, I'm sorry, we can't do
- 47:47Speaker 2: anything this weekend. My plans are to get the splinter
- 47:50Speaker 2: out of my finger. Yep, sorry, all right, I'm sorry.
- 47:54Speaker 2: LSU coach Lane Kiffin told ESPN that he regretted how
- 47:58Speaker 2: he handled his exit from Old Miss before last uh
- 48:03Speaker 2: UH season's college football playoff. Do you believe him? Yeah,
- 48:07Speaker 2: I mean, do you really.
- 48:09Speaker 3: It's human nature to have regrets with certain situations, So yeah,
- 48:12Speaker 3: I believe.
- 48:13Speaker 2: But he continues to have regrets though, and he doesn't
- 48:16Speaker 2: change his ways, kind of like how he left Tennessee.
- 48:20Speaker 2: You know, he left there at the middle of the
- 48:21Speaker 2: night and heads out to California, and then he kind
- 48:24Speaker 2: of does the same thing with old Miss. He's in
- 48:26Speaker 2: the leads in the middle of night, goes to LSU
- 48:28Speaker 2: before the playoffs. I mean, I think that was a
- 48:30Speaker 2: major mistake on his part. Oh yeah, and he'll he'll
- 48:33Speaker 2: think about that the rest of his life. Absolutely, It's
- 48:35Speaker 2: the it's the whole what if thing if he had stay. See,
- 48:40Speaker 2: I don't think so either. Now hold on, now you
- 48:44Speaker 2: answer that quickly because and I thought, oh wait, you're
- 48:46Speaker 2: an IU fan. Let's let's think about this. Take outside
- 48:51Speaker 2: the box. Okay, take your IU fandom out and be
- 48:55Speaker 2: realistic about this. Do you think that Miss could have
- 49:00Speaker 2: won last year against IU? No?
- 49:03Speaker 3: No, I don't. I mean, look at look at what
- 49:06Speaker 3: happened in the playoffs. You beat Oregon fifty six to
- 49:09Speaker 3: twenty two, Alabamagon Alabama thirty eight to three. Down here
- 49:14Speaker 3: for Alabama. You're trying to work me up. I'm not
- 49:17Speaker 3: gonna let it happen. But no, old man. Maybe it's
- 49:21Speaker 3: a closer game than one of those two. But no,
- 49:24Speaker 3: they no way, yeah no, what No. I don't think
- 49:27Speaker 3: they get past Miami. I know I'm not convinced of that.
- 49:33Speaker 3: How did U have L beat Miami? That's on their
- 49:36Speaker 3: own field, That's what I want to know. That's the
- 49:40Speaker 3: to me, that's the craziest part. And then U of
- 49:42Speaker 3: L gets loses those games that they never If U
- 49:45Speaker 3: of L was as good as they thought they were,
- 49:48Speaker 3: they should have won the games at home and and
- 49:51Speaker 3: lost to Miami. But they beat Miami and lost these games.
- 49:54Speaker 3: They should have never lost it. At U of L
- 49:56Speaker 3: lose the Cow I think at I mean, yeah that Cow?
- 49:59Speaker 3: That was No, that was at U of L.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Was it yes? Calbert? Is it cal Berkeley? Or I forget?
- 50:07Speaker 2: It was just Cow? And they lost to Cal They
- 50:10Speaker 2: lost to Virginia. They should have never lost those games.
- 50:14Speaker 2: I want I think we're going to agree who it is.
- 50:17Speaker 2: But who do you think the most disliked football coaches
- 50:19Speaker 2: in the sec between? You got Kleen de Moore, Ryan Silverfield,
- 50:30Speaker 2: that Arkansas ad wouldn't be him, Alex Goulish, John Somemral
- 50:35Speaker 2: Kirby Smart. I mean, you gotta start with the ones
- 50:38Speaker 2: that have been around from me, It's it's not Will Stein,
- 50:41Speaker 2: It's not it's Lane Kiffen, Uh, the new guy at NO,
- 50:46Speaker 2: the old guy at Jeff Levy a Mississippi State, Pete Golding,
- 50:51Speaker 2: Shane Beemer, Josh Hipel. I don't think it's Clark Lee,
- 50:56Speaker 2: Steve Sarcassian, Brent Vinnable, Uh, Mike what's the guy's name
- 51:04Speaker 2: at Texas A? And m Elko Mike Elko, Eli Drinkwitz.
- 51:10Speaker 2: For me, honestly, it's probably Kirby. Are you kidding me?
- 51:15Speaker 2: Because I don't. I'm not like you. I don't have
- 51:17Speaker 2: I don't have a major disdain for Shane Beemer. No,
- 51:20Speaker 2: I didn't even think it was Shane Beemer. I don't.
- 51:23Speaker 2: I think Eli's a dork, but I don't really know.
- 51:25Speaker 2: I don't think it's Eli drink don't.
- 51:27Speaker 3: Really have anything against him either. I'm really surprised you
- 51:30Speaker 3: said Kirby Smart. It's just back to something I said
- 51:34Speaker 3: earlier this week. Is something about his face. He's got
- 51:38Speaker 3: that like smug look about Oh my god, he's got
- 51:40Speaker 3: a horrible haircut.
- 51:42Speaker 2: I just don't like Kirby. To me, it's the easy answer,
- 51:45Speaker 2: and I really surprised you swung and missed. It's like
- 51:49Speaker 2: Giffin because the Tennessee fans can't stand him, and now
- 51:54Speaker 2: the old miss fans can't stand them. And I think
- 51:57Speaker 2: with the way he's treated those teams, even though it's Tennessee,
- 52:01Speaker 2: and I think the way that he's treated a lot
- 52:06Speaker 2: of other media members fan bases, I think the clear
- 52:11Speaker 2: answer is Lane Kiffen. And like the crazy part is
- 52:14Speaker 2: I like Lane Kiffin. I think he's a great coach.
- 52:16Speaker 2: I loved his dad, who is a defensive coordinator at
- 52:20Speaker 2: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, for many years. But Lane's different.
- 52:24Speaker 2: I mean, I don't like his personal life. I don't
- 52:27Speaker 2: like him, but for some reason, as a coach, I
- 52:31Speaker 2: think he's a phenomenal coach. I think he's even better recruiter.
- 52:35Speaker 2: But I think he is probably the villain of the SEC. Now,
- 52:41Speaker 2: who would be number two for you? Probably Lane? Okay,
- 52:46Speaker 2: so you pick Kirby smart who I was gonna say,
- 52:50Speaker 2: I would think Kirby spart is probably the most well
- 52:54Speaker 2: liked within the Secon.
- 52:55Speaker 3: I mean I respect Kirby Smart, don't get me wrong.
- 52:58Speaker 3: Like what he's able to do in the team he's
- 53:00Speaker 3: able to put together each and every year has been
- 53:03Speaker 3: ridiculously impressive. But I just I don't know, he just huh.
- 53:06Speaker 3: He comes off whiny to me. Yeah, and that for that,
- 53:09Speaker 3: I don't much care.
- 53:10Speaker 2: I think clark Lee is as well respected at Vanderbilt
- 53:14Speaker 2: because of what he's done there the last couple of seasons.
- 53:17Speaker 2: He's taking a team that has been just a dumpster
- 53:20Speaker 2: fire for many years other than the time James Franklin
- 53:25Speaker 2: was there. I respected James Franklin for what he did
- 53:29Speaker 2: at Vanderbilt. I mean he was beating Tennessee and Kentucky
- 53:32Speaker 2: on a regular basis, beating Tennessee at Tennessee. Clark Lee
- 53:35Speaker 2: is doing the same thing. I think Clark Lee should
- 53:39Speaker 2: be one of the most well respected and will like
- 53:41Speaker 2: coaches in the SEC for now. For now, You're exactly correct.
- 53:45Speaker 2: That'll change. I don't know why do you think it'll
- 53:48Speaker 2: change once?
- 53:50Speaker 3: I mean, if God forbid, he turns Vanderbilt into a powerhouse,
- 53:53Speaker 3: he could. That's what the name you're hearing every year
- 53:56Speaker 3: in regards to the SEC then yeah, you're that's eventually
- 54:00Speaker 3: gonna get old.
- 54:02Speaker 2: In this day and age of the nil who has
- 54:06Speaker 2: the most money in the SEC. I'm gonna really it's
- 54:10Speaker 2: gonna be between Texas A and m Oklahoma and Texas
- 54:15Speaker 2: and then right behind them, and they could turn it
- 54:18Speaker 2: around and make it them. One of the top ones
- 54:21Speaker 2: is gonna be Vanderbilt. As much as people don't like this,
- 54:24Speaker 2: Vanderbilt when they started making a consorted effort to bring
- 54:31Speaker 2: up their athletic department, they started raising money and it
- 54:37Speaker 2: became real easy for them. And the other part that's
- 54:40Speaker 2: really nice for them. They're private schools, so they don't
- 54:42Speaker 2: have to disclose anything, so they can go out and
- 54:44Speaker 2: spend as much as they want. You see the basketball
- 54:46Speaker 2: team playing better, and now you're gonna see the football
- 54:50Speaker 2: team continue to play better. I'm here to tell you
- 54:53Speaker 2: Vanderbilt athletics is here to stay as long as they
- 54:57Speaker 2: keep putting that effort into what their president does want
- 55:01Speaker 2: to do and do college athletics, and they're specifically Vanderbilt's
- 55:06Speaker 2: athletic program.
- 55:07Speaker 3: I mean, they're definitely on a really good rise. They're
- 55:09Speaker 3: on a good, steady incline over the last handful of years.
- 55:13Speaker 3: So I mentioned it actually earlier this week on my show.
- 55:16Speaker 3: But you tell me in ten years that Vanderbilt's the
- 55:19Speaker 3: team we're talking about in the SEC year in and
- 55:22Speaker 3: year out. Yeah, probably wouldn't necessarily surprise me with the
- 55:25Speaker 3: way that they're on the rise.
- 55:26Speaker 2: Now to I think Shane Biemer is one of the
- 55:28Speaker 2: most disliked in the SEC. No, I think he's only
- 55:32Speaker 2: disliked right now at Kentucky because he continues to be Kentucky.
- 55:37Speaker 2: I mean, he's kind of irrelevant in the landscape. Absolutely,
- 55:40Speaker 2: I would agree with that. I think josh Iipel's becoming irrelevant.
- 55:44Speaker 2: There was an article I read yesterday where he's the
- 55:47Speaker 2: most underrated SEC football coach and I'm like, what what
- 55:49Speaker 2: are you talking about? He he hasn't really done anything
- 55:54Speaker 2: at Tennessee, and Tennessee really believes they should be in
- 55:58Speaker 2: the College Football Playoffs and win a national times. I
- 56:01Speaker 2: just I don't see that. I see. I'm really surprised you.
- 56:05Speaker 2: I don't know why you dislike Kirby Smart. I wish
- 56:09Speaker 2: I could I do too, But the Goofiest, Yeah, it's
- 56:12Speaker 2: gonna be Shane Beemer and Eli Drinkwoodz.
- 56:14Speaker 3: What did you call drink woods. Dorkowitz Dorkowitz. That's a
- 56:17Speaker 3: perfect name for him. By the way, I do like
- 56:20Speaker 3: that name. So, uh, the Raiders can take a huge
- 56:23Speaker 3: sigh of relief. Did you see where they finally got
- 56:25Speaker 3: an agreement in the signed contract with Fernando Mendoza.
- 56:31Speaker 2: They never did disclose though, did they. I didn't see
- 56:35Speaker 2: any reports out there that said he got the lumps
- 56:40Speaker 2: or he's getting it installments. Did you see anything? I
- 56:43Speaker 2: find that funny that they're not disclosing.
- 56:45Speaker 3: They just they just said fully guaranteed. Yeah, and that
- 56:48Speaker 3: doesn't mean anything. So who the contract? So yeah, it does.
- 56:56Speaker 3: I'd like to know. I'm inquiring mine's one and.
- 57:00Speaker 2: Oh you're a cat and curiosity killed the cat, so
- 57:02Speaker 2: maybe that's fair to say. But uh, okay, all right then,
- 57:06Speaker 2: I just I thought that was funny, and I'm like, okay,
- 57:10Speaker 2: well they did it. He's now showing up for camp,
- 57:12Speaker 2: he's now playing. How did they settle it? Did they?
- 57:17Speaker 3: Did they just meet in the middle and say, okay,
- 57:19Speaker 3: we won't do as many installments, We'll cut the installments
- 57:22Speaker 3: in half.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Is that okay? I don't know.
- 57:25Speaker 3: I think if you're a number one overall, pick what
- 57:27Speaker 3: you want you get That's how I would treat it.
- 57:31Speaker 2: Yeah, what would have happened if he continued to fight this?
- 57:36Speaker 2: But what are they not going to sign him? Yeah?
- 57:40Speaker 2: And he just goes somewhere else. Surely that's never happened, right, Yeah,
- 57:45Speaker 2: I don't think so. But uh, anyway, I thought that
- 57:48Speaker 2: was kind of funny. All right, UK basketball they have
- 57:53Speaker 2: now offered between a class of twenty seven, twenty eight
- 57:58Speaker 2: and twenty nine thirty one scholarships. Holy moly. Yeah, and
- 58:03Speaker 2: class of twenty seven they've offered twenty. Class of twenty eight,
- 58:07Speaker 2: they've offered nine. In class of twenty nine, they've offered two. Man,
- 58:12Speaker 2: when I read this, I'm like, okay, I gotta see
- 58:14Speaker 2: the comments, and I didn't see a single positive comment
- 58:20Speaker 2: about this. Why all the swings and misses. That's what
- 58:26Speaker 2: a lot of people are saying, Oh great, another thirty
- 58:29Speaker 2: one scholarship's offered in Pope gets none.
- 58:33Speaker 3: I mean, that's simply not gonna happen. Out of thirty one.
- 58:37Speaker 3: You're telling me he's gonna get zero, those guys, Come on,
- 58:40Speaker 3: That's what I'm telling you. Everybody was a good majority
- 58:43Speaker 3: of the comments were about swinging miss swinging myths.
- 58:46Speaker 2: What if they all said yes, though, I mean, why
- 58:49Speaker 2: do you give I understand you you're playing with numbers here,
- 58:53Speaker 2: but twenty seems kind of high to me, does it
- 58:57Speaker 2: not thought account of you have what twelve?
- 58:59Speaker 3: Yes, a little bit, but yeah, that allows you some
- 59:02Speaker 3: room to swing in miss and quite frankly, the whole
- 59:05Speaker 3: swinging miss narrative, that's got to go away after the
- 59:08Speaker 3: Mom Chilovich thing, right that.
- 59:10Speaker 2: But he has had a lot of swinging missus.
- 59:12Speaker 3: Yeah, let's be honest, Yes, but that but that signing
- 59:17Speaker 3: alone should have taken that narrative away at least for
- 59:20Speaker 3: a little bit. And maybe it did for a week
- 59:22Speaker 3: or two, but that should not be the narrative right
- 59:25Speaker 3: now with Mark Pope. Let let it play out. Let
- 59:29Speaker 3: it see what he lands in the twenty twenty seven class.
- 59:32Speaker 3: It is there, you've already got Ryan Hampton. Was that
- 59:34Speaker 3: a swing in a miss?
- 59:35Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah?
- 59:36Speaker 3: So your last swings that you've taken, you could make
- 59:39Speaker 3: the argument that you've knocked out of the park. And
- 59:42Speaker 3: if I'm getting two homers on two swings, even from
- 59:45Speaker 3: a guy who's batting a hundred, that's fine. I'm good
- 59:49Speaker 3: with that bat and a what one hundred, one hundred,
- 59:52Speaker 3: one hundred. Yeah, one hundred. I'm used to that because
- 59:55Speaker 3: all my red legs are bat in a hundred. Oh boy,
- 59:58Speaker 3: I want to talk about that now. Oh yeah we are.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: Oh we don't have to, but yeah, that's I just
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: I love how you just mispronounced that. And it makes
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: me happy because I'm mispronounced. It's a bat in a hundred.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: He's mispronounced that. Oh you said one hundred, one hundred,
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: one hundred, one hundred. You did not say a hundred.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: You said a hundred.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: I love that. I just said it fast. It was
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: my southern that's okay, and I like that even though
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: you're from Indiana, you got a little bit of South
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: ask you're absolutely correct. I don't like that you called
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: me out on that because I think I nailed it.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: No you didn't. It's okay. I like the way you said.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: That's the why I would say it is a hundred.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: It's the same way. But uh uh, PGA is playing
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: in Minnesota. It's the three M. H Do you know
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: what three M stands for? Isn't it like a tape company? Yes,
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: they they're a tape company. They're all kinds of company.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: I would say three meter. Uh, it's Minnesota Mining and
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: something else. They're based in Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota Mining. I
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: don't remember what it is.
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: But oh wait, so when it says three m, it
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: literally means three. It means three ms. You're exactly correct.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: If somebody knows that, texts me right now if I
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: will two four one four fourteen fifty. But it's yeah,
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: it's three. It's literally three ms.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: All right, Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing. There you go. So
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: how do you like that? I was almost close? Jake Napp?
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Did you see him hit the golf ball in a
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: part three yesterday? Was this the hole in one?
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: Yes? That should have been exactly that was? How crazy
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: was that? I'd be so much That.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: Ball literally hits the ground, hits the pin, goes in
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: the hole and bounces back out. I don't understand if
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: it hits the pin like that when it goes in
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: the hole, should it be counted as a hole in one?
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Not if it doesn't stay in?
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: No?
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Really, Okay you could tell the disgust and frustration from
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: his face. That was an amazing shot to watch. It was. Yeah,
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: have you ever gotten close to a hole in one?
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: I've been within a foot or so, maybe two three times?
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Have you? But I think I'm gonna get out in
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: golf today and I'm probably gonna have one to you said,
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: you're doing nothing, so you can't do that. No, you
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: can't go play golf.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Roommate, roommate, just hit me up. He's off today, wants
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: to golf, So maybe I'll go do that.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Well, so Gill's taking you to play?
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Is Gil pay? And then if he invites you? Isn't
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: that the rule? When you're invited, you don't have to pay?
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: I love that rule. Okay? What does Gill do? He
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: works for a pharmaceutical company. Oh that's right. Yeah, he
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: was busy and couldn't talk to us on the phone.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: Correct because he was doing pharmaceutical things. That's right, whatever
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: that means. But uh, okay, well, I just I loved
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: the shot. I felt bad for him. I've never been
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: close to heaven. All well, I've been closed. But that's surprised.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Not enough. Yeah, I would have thought you would have
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: had one. No, I've never had one. He must not
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: be as good as I thought. No, I'm not. I'm terrible,
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: but uh I am now because I didn't really played much.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: I played nine holes this year. That's not nearly enough. No,
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: not even close. I'm so disappointed. Whereas year before last
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: I was playing every weekend at least, if not more. Well,
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: if you want to play this weekend, let me know. No,
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: you're not playing anything, so I can't go do it. So, uh,
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: we gotta take a break. Five O two four one
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty. If you want to call in, uh,
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: if you want to text in, fave O two three
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: eight four fourteen fifty. You want to call in, We'll
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: get to your tweets, our text as soon as we
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: get back. I got a whole bunch, and I appreciate that.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: Stay right there. More of just the cats coming up
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: on this crack. Yeah, yeah, he's on the head coming
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: and then it might be TAKEO get me. He's ready.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Indeed, I gotta give.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: It rail down because on the one day.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: You'll spin, ride round right rown, you go down, you
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: go down, down around.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: It's see times.
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: It's like my mom's going to women in the short
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: he's knowing nothing stopping.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: That's always you're into Florida today telling this is the
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: second one.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I like it.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: Listen, I love Florado I cannot hear this song ever
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: again for the rest of my life without thinking of
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: the Hangover.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: Oh of course you can ever. I get that. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: oh yeah, especially when they're looking at the phone and
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: seeing all the different victors. Yeah. Yeah, that's a great movie.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: By the way, But I've seen enough though, what Yeah,
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: I've seen you like as in, you don't want to
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: see it anymore. I'm just when it comes on. There
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: are certain movies that I have to watch Hangover. I've
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: seen it so much. I'm like, I'm kind of good.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Like last night, there was a movie that came on
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: and I I've watched it. I can't tell you how
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: many times I had to watch it again. It was Moneyball, Okay,
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: I think I referenced it, what yesterday or day before,
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: probably every day this week, I know, And yet here
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: it is on and I gotta watch it. So I
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: watched Moneyball last night.
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: I get it.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: I'm the same way with Ted, Ted, are you really?
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah? Yeah? The other there, I would say, the
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: other guys is one of those step brothers. I might
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: be getting sick of step brothers. Get out of here,
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: I know, and I love step brothers, but there are
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: certain movies. It's like, okay, boom, I gotta watch it. Sorry,
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: hey tell you Purple Rain is one of them too.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: Harry Potter's my other one, really, yeah, my biggest. I
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: just I loved Purple Rain. I've never seen a Harry
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: Potty Harry Potty movie, right, but uh it is.
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: Is the.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: The key to success for UK foot fall going to
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: be Kenny Minchie? No really, I kind of feel that way,
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: but possibly you might be right. Tell me why you
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: think not.
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: The keenest success is something we've talked about ad nauseum
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: for a couple of weeks now, and that's the offensive line. Okay, actually,
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: if you want to, you want to throw the defensive
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: line in there as well, I'll just say the line
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: play is what we'll carry this.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I get it. Because UK football has survived with
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: not very good quarterbacks. I mean, one of the best
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: seasons I had was with Terry Wilson, who was I'm
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: not gonna say he was a bad quarterback, but I
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: am going to say he was at best and average
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: quarterback for UK. Is that fair to say? Absolutely? I mean,
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: if I had my choice between Terry Wilson and Will Levis,
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: I'm probably picking Terry Wilson. That's foolish. I knew you
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: would say that, but I just I don't know.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: I just.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: There was something about Will Levis that it just didn't
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: seem right. And I was kind of surprised when the
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Titans started. I'm not I'm not a Will Levis hater.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: I like Will Levis. I just don't think he was
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: great as everybody likes to say he was.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: Maybe it's just me so uh so you think the
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: key is going to be because what we're gonna talk
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: more about it, we're what forty days away from football? Yeah,
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: it's coming, which is hard to believe. Hey, do you
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: realize some schools did they start today or some start
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: next week? No? No, I'm talking about high schools, public schools.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: I think next week some public schools start. I believe Indiana.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: It's just it's just amazing how fast this summer is gone.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: And then I think it's like two or three weeks
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: before Jefferson County starts, and everybody's talking about getting ready,
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: getting all this stuff, uh, school supplies and all that
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: kind of stuff. Yeah, it's just I think Indiana, some
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Indiana schools start next week. And then Jefferson County starts.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: I believe it's three weeks away, which is hard to first.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: Looks like there are several public school systems that start
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: on the fifth or the sixth.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: Yeah, of August, but that's the earliest second found.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: Jeez, Okay, let's go no Clark County in Indiana July thirty.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: See, I told you, I'm not wrong. That's six days away.
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: You know how ticked off i'd be if I freaking
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: was in high school. Still, we had to start in July.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: I never When I was a kid, we did not
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: start school until after the State Fair. And now they
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: start before the state Fair. I've never understood that. But
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: my state Fair is a great state fair.
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: One person texted in so Scoots is either a Trinity hater, delusional,
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: or has been hanging out with the CNX jam Boys
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: over on Spears on sports too long, Go Rocks. I
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: can't deny any of that. I love that. I mean,
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: I think that's a great text right there.
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: I actually am a Trinity hater, you are, Yeah, because
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: my sister dated this real d bag from Trinity.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: Specifically, I didn't much care for him.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: Yeah, and the type of guy he was because I
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: feel like every type of guy that I see from Trinity. Yeah, uh,
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: that's too bad. But I will tell you I like
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: Kickback Joey. Kick Back Joey's following me on Twitter, so
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: I appreciate that. Kicks back joe that's a great name.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: By the way, keep back Joey.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: I like that. I'm gonna have to follow kick back Joey.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: Lamont Butler is my goat, is what he says. So okay,
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: I'm glad you love Lamont Butler. But one person texted
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: and said, who knew Michael had issues with cal long
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: before cal Perry? Hell yeah, it's good text? Is it? Really?
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: People are going to never let that live down? Are they?
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: That?
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: With the whole cow thing? But all right, he was
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: talking about Christian Academy lit. Oh oh, oh get it?
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: Oh oh, I got it. Yeah. I haven't really supported
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: the high school I went to. I don't know. I
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: just I got kicked out of the school that I
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: really loved, which will remain nameless. And I didn't get
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: kicked out for reasons. You think I get kicked out
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: for reasons that I went in to a great student.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: So I got kicked out of that private school because
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: they didn't think I was smart, so they made me
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: feel dumb. He said his teacher's name wrong one too
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: many times. Who said that? You probably?
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: So that's that's what If I had to guess why
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: you got kicked out, it's because you said your teacher's
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: name wrong.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: No, it's because I didn't make good grades. They didn't
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: identify that I had ADHD and so anyway, and that's okay.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: Just I was always disappointed. I never got to graduate
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: from the school that I loved. Instead, I had to
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: go to Christian Academy who took me in? I should
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: love Christian Academy, but I don't know. I just I
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: didn't feel I felt I had friends there, don't get
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: me wrong, but I just didn't feel connected to them.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: I don't know one of my guys I really like
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: I still talk to every now and then. But anyway,
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: is this for us?
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: I don't get this to USA men's hockey team defeated
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: the USA women's team on celebrity family feud went to
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: sudden death?
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: Am I right where I? Is that for us?
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: No? That was for me?
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: Oh that was for you.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: I got to look at the timestance it says nine
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: ten am, Holly resent it. Yeah, well there you go,
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: then it's for us. Okay, I didn't watch that, but
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: did I see it correctly? Where Barstool Sports didn't score
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: any points on that show?
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: Oh? Really? Yeah, Scoots. When you get home, soak your
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: finger in the warmest epsin salts water. You can tolerate.
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: It'll pull the soreness out. All good grooms know about
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: epsom salt. Oh this is from forty eight handle it is. Yeah,
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: I'm good now forty handling. Thank you though, but it'll
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: probably helped it heal though, so you might still want
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: to do that maybe. So Yeah, last year Pope messed
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: up with Stokes. It will it will be different this year.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: By the way. People who still say with our clowns,
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: I yeah, I don't know if they're Yeah, I can
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: see what you mean their clowns. But on the other hand,
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: they're not wrong. It's been they're frustrated. They're frustrated fans
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: that heard a coach come in here saying he's gonna
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: make the environment different and he just hasn't succeeded, not
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: to his complete fault. Part of it is his fault.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: But man, when you get all these injuries like he's had,
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: that's not his fault. It is frustrating. And I think
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: Texter those fans that keep saying with swinging, with swinging
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: a miss and all that kind of stuff, I think
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: they're just frustrated because they want to win so badly,
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: and it'd be nice if they just kept the swinging
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: a whift to themselves. And I get that from that part.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: I did see where I haven't talked to him yet,
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: but I need to call Jack Gibbons and where Jack
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: is like really promoting this team. He says year three
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: of Mark Pope is completely different. He sees a lot
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: of difference and a lot of improvement in this team,
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: and he's real excited about this.
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: So I do.
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: When Jack Gibbons speaks, justin Michael Bennett listens, and I
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: wish more people would listen to Jack Gibbons. Yes, I
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: miss Mike Pratt. Mike Pratt was a dear friend, and
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: I mean a dear friend. But Jack Gibbons has done
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: has improved every year he's been colored with Tom Lee
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: Jump Basketball, and I think he's doing a phenomenal job
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: and he's been a great replacement for Mike Pratt. Man,
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: I'm telling you, listen to what Mike Jack Gibbons is saying.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: I mean, it sounds similar to what Tubby was telling
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: us last week. Yes, that was a fun interview. By
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: the way, I've gone back and listened to part of that,
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: not all of it, but part of it, and I
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: enjoyed what a lot of things he said. The fact
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: that he said, I don't know if I really would
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: give advice to Mark Pope. I was kind of surprised
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: by that, were you very much?
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: So?
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: Yeah, But I mean he's, like he said, he's he's
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: been at practice earlier this spring. He's seen this team
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: and knows what they can be capable of. So I
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: took that as a positive when Tubby was talking about that.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: Exactly John here justin oneharmercent correct with a swing and missed.
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: It has to go. Coach Pope still managed to put
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: together a roster that looked solid plus Ryan Hampton already
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: for the next for the next year plus more to come. People, please,
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: people move past the narrative about Coach Hope. I see,
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: I get that, and I understand and I probably agree
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: with that. One person said, uh, hold on, said hold on, No,
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: they did not say that. I got a Tampa Bay
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: Ray's question yesterday during Roll Call trivia. Right, that's just
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: from Patrick. The question was who leads the Rays in
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: career home runs? Yeah?
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: Does he have the answer on there? No, he doesn't, Okay,
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: So who would you say it is? It's pretty easy,
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: is it really? Yeah? I mean if you think about
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: the Rays and who played there for the longest and
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: who was really there for their entire career.
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: Evan Longoria exactly? Oh is it really Evan Longoria? Well,
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: you know, they just put him into the Ray's Hall
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: of Fame. I think it was last week. I loved
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: Evan Longoria. Yeah, and a great person on top of
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: it all. He was one of my favorites. So I
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: got it correct too. From Corey Price. Also, I'm going
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: up to Minnesota on a plane today for my dad
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: and i's MLB trip. This is really cool. I'm jealous
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: of you. We are seeing the Saint Paul Saints on
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: Saturday and the Minnesota Twins on Sunday in ninety six
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: degree weather or so. Oh wow, that's amazing. Then he
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: puts the answer under there. The answer was Evan Longoria.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: I already got it right, so thank you. I appreciate that.
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: That's pretty freaking cool. Patrick. Good for y'all. That's one
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: of those things when I hear people doing this kind
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: of stuff, I get real jealous of that. I've got
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: a good friend down Sorry about that, Josh Caviswift. I've
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: got a guy I know down in New Orleans. He
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: has taken his name Stan Gorman. Used to live here
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: in Louisville, and he moved back home to New Orleans,
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: and he has taken his son to every ballpark in
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: Major League Baseball. I've been to a good portion of them.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: Would you like to do that? Yeah?
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: I mean eventually, if I'm in the financial position and
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: I'm able to retire and don't really have much going on,
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: that would be awesome.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: Yeah, But I don't see that ever happening, because what
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: is it about baseball? People do this with more than
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: they do it with like, for instance, the NBA, the
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: NFL hockey. Why do they do baseball more than any
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: other one? What is so special about the baseball venues?
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: Don't they have more character than anywhere else? You think
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: that's what it is?
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean the new stadiums really don't have character.
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: There's some cool football stadiums that have character and then
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: are old. But if you think about all the baseball
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: majority of them are are pretty old. Other than the
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: few that have been built within the last decade or so.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I think most of them are brand new. No,
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: you got Dodger Stadium, that's one of the original ones.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: You got Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs. What else is
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: there besides those three? Atlanta they're on there like fourth
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: or fifth Stadium. Yankee Stadium is now not the original
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: Mets you got? There's nothing else.
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: My point stands, I'm not so caught up on the
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: age and the history of the stadiums. I'm more so
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: the just the appeal of them and how they're they're cool,
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: Like they're all different. There's not There's not a single
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: baseball stadium that looks like one of the other major
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: league stadiums.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: Are you ready for this? Our listener, Michelle has had
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: a hole in one. Really good for you, Michell. It
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: looks like she had it on Christmas Day twenty twenty two.
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: How about that. That's incredible. Wow, she's got a towel
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: printed of it and everything. Thank you, Michelle. I'm I'm
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: very jealous of you. So that's that's yeah, congratulations on
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: top of it all, Michael, you've already told the story
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: of being kicked out of Casey dan R. I did
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: on times I have.
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: Okay, that's the thing listeners about Michael Bennett. You're gonna
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: you're gonna hear stories, all right, fine, and you got
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: to be okay with it.
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: Okay, Well, sorry about that. I'll just it's the dementia
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: coming out. Okay. I don't know what else to tell you,
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: but I do want to talk about this when we
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: come back. Former Cincinnati Reds is about to a player
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: is about to make his debut. We'll talk about that
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: as soon as we get back. I want to know
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: if you're excited about this or not. And a couple
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: other things before we close it out this week. So
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: stay right there. More just the cats coming right up,
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: going out. Yeah, you know, it's funny you play something
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: like this. I you talk about singers I don't like,
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: and you make fun of me if I boy bands
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: were not my favorite and we're not my dal just
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: to let you know, yeah, because that's I don't know
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: who that is. Is that instinct or is that uh
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: this is in sync? Is the proper. Sorry, I'm miss print.
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: I didn't mean to pronounce it instinct, but that's kind
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: of how I felt. But okay, so instinct, that's not
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: the that's not the ones from Kentucky? Right? Wait? What
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: who's from Kentucky? The boy bands? You got two singers
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: from Kentucky one of them? No, No, they're from Cincinnati. Oh,
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: come on, you know who stret Backstreet Boys? Yeah, two
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: of them are from uh, Kentucky. One of them is
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: a huge uh uh. He used to listen to me
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: at the old Race radio station. I don't know if
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: he listens to me on the new one, but he
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: didn't realize. Yeah, the tall guy, Kevin Richardson and Brian Latrulle. Yeah,
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: Kevin used to listen to me at the old station
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: because he came up to me at a football game,
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: said Michael Bennet, iced to meet you, and I'm like, who,
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: I didn't know who he was. And my niece was
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: with me and she went nuts, Oh my gosh, oh yeah,
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: she loved Backstreet Boys. I don't know. And I started
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: to listen to my Okay, there's a couple of songs
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: on there that I can't.
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: They were really, really really good for like a two
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: three year span there really, Yeah, that was that was
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: back when boy bands just ruled the world.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: Really, but it's kind of fake though. That's the part
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: of music back then. I didn't like. They were just
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: kind of manufacturing and put together. There's no originality, that's true.
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: And and uh, and then of course the instinct guy,
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: the one broke off, the one that used to date
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: Britney Spears. I don't know what his name is, but
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: he broke off and did his own thing. And but yeah,
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: you don't even know who I'm talking about there, do you.
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: That's okay? Justin Timberlake, Timberlake, Justin Timberlin, who was actually
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: pretty good actor. He was in that base He was
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: in that movie with Clint Eastwood, the Baseball movie that
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: was so good. Uh, slow with a curve or can't
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: do something with a curve or something like that. He
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: was good in that movie. I've heard of that. Oh,
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: really trouble, Trouble with the curve. That's it with Clint Eastwood.
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: You've never seen that movie. That's a good movie. Yeah
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: you I really liked that one. And I will admit
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: Justin Timberlake was really good in that movie. So then
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: I became jealous of them because he who he married.
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: But I think they're they're separated right now, aren't they?
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: Is that who? No, somebody else he's dating and he's
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: married to another lady show she was in that movie
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: with Adam Sandler. I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry. Oh,
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: Jessica Biel. Yes, and I think they're separated. So you know,
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: we all have a shot right now. Just they are
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: still legally but it does say they're separated. M not really?
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: Oh okay, all right then.
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: Former Cincinnati Reds first baseball first baseman Joey Vato is
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: making his debut Sunday night on NBC Baseball, Right tonight
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: on Baseball. Yeah. Uh, it's gonna be an analyst. Uh,
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: it's gonna be the game for the Phillies versus the Yankees.
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you right now, I'm disappointed. I'm disappointed
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: it's not a Reds game because I think that would
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: have been better. But that's me being selfish. Would be
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: good to be on well, and that's the whole point exactly. So,
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: because a lot of people are thinking, no, this is
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: not gonna work, then some people are saying this is
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: gonna be great because you know he is one of
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: the I'm not gonna say the most beloved players from
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: Cincinnati's organization, but he is one of the he'd be
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: top five. You think he'd be top five? Absolutely? Who
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: are the other four? Joe Morgan, you gotta put up there, Ry,
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: Johnny Binch, Barry Larkin's a great one. Well, I was
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: gonna say Pete Rose, but there's there's probably still Pete.
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: I still think, no, no, no, no, no no. I
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: disagree with you. I think when you ask a die
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: hard Cincinnati Reds fan, ninety five percent of them are
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: gonna say they love Pete Rose, all right, So I
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: would go Pete Rose. Oh that's so, that's so hard.
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: Berry Larkin's a great one.
- 1:24:55Speaker 3: Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Barry Larkin, and Joey
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: Vodo that'd be my five.
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: Really not the father son duo. I don't know.
- 1:25:04Speaker 3: Ken Griffy Junior is my favorite player ever, So I
- 1:25:07Speaker 3: don't know. I don't know that you wouldn't put up
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: there Ken Griffy.
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: I don't know that he played with the Reds long
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: enough for me him to be one of my favorite Reds.
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: Who do you think the most beloved manager of the
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: Reds is Sparky? I would say Terry Francona. What I'm kidding,
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: I was gonna say, yeah, I was excited when the
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: Reds announced they were hiring him because I thought Terry
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: Frank Crona because he was with he did really well
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: with the the Uh, look, they're the Indians, are always
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: going to be the Indians. To me, the reason they
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: changed the name is so dumb, but uh, he was
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: did a great job of the Indians, did a great
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: job of the Red Sox. I thought he would repeat
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: do a great job with the Reds. Does he have
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: much more time at the Reds? By the way, Tom
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: will Tell, I would say so, I hope so. I
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: like Terry fran Cohin. By the way, Griffy played nine
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: years for the Reds. I did not realize. Yeah, absolutely,
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: I knew. He kind of called home Seattle for sure. Yeah,
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: Itchi row is probably my favorite Seattle Mariner. Awesome, he
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: was a lot of fun to watch. He was awful. No,
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: I said he was a lot of fun to watch. Oh,
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: I thought you said he was awful. He was awful?
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: Out of Oh yeah, oh, yeah, you said he was awesome,
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: but yeah, ITCHI row I loved. I could name certain
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: players out there that I loved watching that were not
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: necessarily from my favorite team, and there is a lot
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: of them out there. But uh, I was liked. Was
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: that Edgar Martinez on the Mariners? Yeah? Sound right? I
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: always liked him. Yeah. Who was the guy that wobbled
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: back and forth in the batter's box that played for
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: the Boston Red Sox. I liked him. I can't think
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: of his work. Sheffield, No, Sheffield, No, this is back,
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: This is back in the early two thousand something like that. No,
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: mar No, No, it's a white guy. I think he
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: was from Ohio. He had a funny name, big white guy.
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: I think played third base for the Red Sox. And
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: I can't think of but one person texted in no judgment, fellas,
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: are you?
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: Are you team? Backstreet Boys are instinct? That's a great
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: I like this question. I can't separate them.
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: Why not you have to? I can't.
- 1:27:22Speaker 3: They are two completely different boy bands. I mean I
- 1:27:27Speaker 3: can't because they both had great songs that I liked. Okay,
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: hang on, let me okay, if you're gonna make me pick,
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: I'll go I'll go Backstreet Boys.
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: Why.
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: I just think they had a little a few more
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: songs that I liked than than See, and I had
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: to look it up for a second. I want it
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: that way.
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: I do like that song. I'm embarrassed to admit it,
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: but I have to be team Backstreet Boys because the
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: two guys are from Kentucky and the one guy I
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: it's a huge Kentucky fan. I just listen, I'm team
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: Backstreet It's not even and it's not even close. I'm
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: with you.
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: Now, if we throw in ninety eight degrees, does that change?
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: Probably not right, No, it doesn't change because there's Cincinnati
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: and Nick Lache. Isn't it crazy?
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: I remember him, but that's because he was married to
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: Jessica Simpson and they had that little show on TV.
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: I'll watch it a few times. It was rather stilly
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: and you could tell it was completely scripted. But I
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: like Nick Lache. I think he's kind of he seems
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: like a really nice guy. And the fact that he
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: used to play at King's Island. I think it was
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: always funny. And you go from King's Island to being
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: known all over the country. It's just credit to him.
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: And now He's the host of every single love show
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: there is. Is he really?
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: No, he is?
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: He hosts so many shows. Yeah. Yeah, he's kind of
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: like a John Cena in. I mean he's kind of everywhere.
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: But no, I uh, I am not loved. Thank you Texter.
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: He just told me are you ready Kevin Yuculus? Oh
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: there you go? Yeah? Remember he used to stand in
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: the bad just wobble back and forth. Wah blah blah.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: I couldn't watch him, but I liked him. He had
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: a crazy batting stand. Yes, thank you, texture that was perfect.
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: But yeah, I kind of liked him. How do you
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: think Joey Votto is going to do on Sunday Night?
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: He'll kill it, you think, so, no question. Yeah, he's
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: Joey's very well spoken. Joey's got a He's a funny guy.
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: But it's kind of like a dry humor.
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: Is he.
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: I've never really paid attention to anything he said.
- 1:29:39Speaker 3: Like me, personally, I don't think he's that hilarious because
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: dry humor is not really my thing. But if dry
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: humor is your thing, Joey Votto's hilarious. So he's gonna
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: say a lot of funny things and on top of that.
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: He's just ridiculously knowledgeable with the game of baseball. He's
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: crazy smart in yeah, he is. That's the other part
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: that I've always heard about Joey Votto.
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: But that he said it like that. What like Joey Votto.
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: I think it's because my boys used to kind of
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: make fun of his name, and they would always say Votto,
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: Joey Votto, and it just and now I'm repeating it
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: after all those years, and I'm now saying it the
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: way they would make fun of him. Yeah, Joey Votto.
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: So and I'm saying Joey Botto. I mean, I sound
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: like a surfer dude. I don't know why I said
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: it Joey Botto, but I did. By the way, a
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: little bit of breaking news, Mark Pope revealed that Cam
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: Williams had a second off season surgery on his foot.
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: That's why you're seeing in the crutches around Lexington and
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: in the boot. So there you go. Hopefully he's ready
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: to go. It's it's funny Mark Pope would be all
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: about telling us everything in the very beginning. Now he's
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: kind of delaying what he's telling us. So anyway you
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: think he comes out and all the excitement that he has.
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: Will see that this year like we saw last year,
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: as far as this team's a great shooting team where
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: you think he's gonna be a little more hesitating, and
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: he learned from his ways from last year. Now, Mark
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: Pope is who Mark Pop is, and I love that
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: about him. I see. That's the part I probably love
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: the most about Mark is when there's even the slightest
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: bit of positive news, exciting news, or something he wants
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: to tell everybody, And that makes me happy because that's
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: exactly how I am. For instance, when I go by
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: my wife an anniversary President, Birthday, President, Christmas present, I
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: can't wait to give it to her. I want to
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: give it to her right then. And that's so kind
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: of how Mark Pope is and it makes me That's
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: the part I probably love the most about him now.
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: I mean, well, we've already seen a sliver of him
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: being the same way he was last year, all as
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: sliver of it, yes, but I think he's kind of
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: muted it a little bit maybe, So, I mean, he
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: didn't a lot of what he said last summer turned
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: out to make him look like an idiot, so yeah,
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: it did, which which I hate right there. And uh
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: but and you know, going back to what the guy
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: was saying about the swing, the swinging missers and that
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: kind of stuff, I do. I'm the same way. It's like, Okay,
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: we get it. He's messed up on and really failed,
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: not failed, but missed out on some recruits. But give
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: him some slack. Let's just see how he does. It's
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: like we'll go after a year three and see where
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: we are.
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: Honestly, that's like me taking a job here at Big X.
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: In my first two years, I accidentally skipped like three
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: or four commercial breaks and then no, no.
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: No, no, I'm just this is just a hypothetic Oh okay, okay.
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: But like let's say the first two years I've worked here,
- 1:32:41Speaker 3: I've I've missed four or five commercial breaks, and then
- 1:32:44Speaker 3: everybody starts labeling me as a commercial skipper. I'm not
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: a commercial skipper. I just forgot on a couple of
- 1:32:49Speaker 3: different occasions. That's not That's not who I am as
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: a whole. And I don't think the swing and the
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: missed thing. I don't think that's who Mark Pope.
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: But you know, I think the listeners out there would
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: be praising you for being a commerce skipper, I say,
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: nobody wants to listen to the commercials. They just want
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: to listen to us talk back and forth. But I listen.
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: I think people would. You would get high praise for that.
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: There are times I'm like, I don't want to go
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: to a commercial. We're right in the middle of a
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: deep conversation. Or I'm having fun and we gotta go
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: to a stinking commercial. Come on, man, don't make me
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: do that right now. Anyway, just like we gotta leave
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: the show right now, I don't want to the other
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: show's not on. Why can't we just go another hour?
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: Let's just sit here and talk about anything you want
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: to talk about.
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: Michael, If you have enough topics to cover another hour,
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: I will gladly go across the hall put your show
- 1:33:38Speaker 3: in the log for this next hour. We really would you, Okay,
- 1:33:41Speaker 3: I don't have to, but I don't think you have
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: the time. You don't think I have the what topics?
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: All? Listen? I bet you I don't have the topics
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: I can tell you right now, but I bet you
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: I could fill another hour of us just talking. It
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: might not be fully uk oh, I wouldn't be any
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: of you can probably not because that's one of my
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: favorite things to do. I love talking. I'm not done yet.
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: I love talking UK, but man, I do love talking
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: about other things and I can talk about a wide
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: variety of stuff. So anyway, all right, we gotta go.
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: Justin Always a fun week. Thank you so much for
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: being here, and again, I do want to appreciate you
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: being back so it makes it makes my life so
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: much easier. I just want to say that again. It
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: just came to mind. So everybody, I have a great weekend,
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: stay safe and we'll talk. We'll talk on Monday. We'll
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: see you then.
- 1:34:50Speaker 4: Just get me
