- 0:01Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:02Huddle for February 10, 2026.
- 0:06Your two-minute call from God's playbook
- 0:08to know him better so we can love and
- 0:10obey him more. Let's huddle up and hear
- 0:12today's play from 1 Corinthians 7.
- 0:15Because of the danger of sexual
- 0:17immorality, let each man have his own
- 0:19wife and each woman her own husband. The
- 0:21husband should give his wife what she is
- 0:24entitled to in the marriage
- 0:25relationship. And the wife, she should
- 0:27do the same for her husband. The wife is
- 0:29not in charge of her own body, but her
- 0:31husband is. Likewise, the husband's not
- 0:33in charge of his own body, but the wife
- 0:35is. Do not deprive each other except for
- 0:38a limited time by mutual agreement.
- 0:40Otherwise,
- 0:42because of your lack of self-control,
- 0:44you may succumb to the adversar's
- 0:46temptation. But if you they can't
- 0:49exercise self-control, they should get
- 0:50married. Because it's better to get
- 0:52married than to keep burning with sexual
- 0:54desire. If a man thinks he's behaving
- 0:56dishonorably by treating his fiance this
- 0:59way, and if there's a strong sexual
- 1:01desire, so that marriage is what ought
- 1:03to happen, then let him do what he
- 1:04wants. He's not sinning. Let them get
- 1:06married. Brothers, in 1 Corinthians uh
- 1:09chapter 7, Paul speaks about marriage
- 1:11and intimacy with uncommon clarity. He
- 1:14says, "The husband should give his wife
- 1:16what she's entitled to, and the wife
- 1:18should do the same for her husband. Do
- 1:20not deprive each other." The command
- 1:22goes both ways. Not just to husbands and
- 1:24not just to wives, but to both. In God's
- 1:27design, intimacy in marriage is not
- 1:29optional. It's not a luxury. It's not
- 1:31something you give only when you feel
- 1:33like it. It's a part of covenant
- 1:35faithfulness. Paul says our bodies
- 1:38belong to one another. Not for control,
- 1:40not for selfishness, but for loving
- 1:43service. That means a wife doesn't
- 1:44belong only to herself and a husband
- 1:47does not belong only to himself. They
- 1:49belong to each other. And Paul says
- 1:51clearly, "Do not withhold intimacy
- 1:53except for a short time by mutual
- 1:55agreement for prayer and then come back
- 1:58together." Why? Because temptation's
- 2:00real. Because Satan looks for distance.
- 2:03Because neglect creates vulnerability.
- 2:06In many marriages today, intimacy is
- 2:08denied not because of sin or danger, but
- 2:11because of boredom, fatigue, resentment,
- 2:13busyiness, or habit. I'm tired, or I'm
- 2:16not in the mood, or we're older now, or
- 2:17it doesn't matter anymore. These
- 2:20scripture, the scripture never treats
- 2:21intimacy as disposable. Withholding
- 2:24intimacy without biblical reason is not
- 2:26harmless. It's disobedience. It weakens
- 2:29the marriage. It frustrates the spouse.
- 2:31It invites temptation. Now, husbands are
- 2:34called to love sacrificially, to lead
- 2:36spiritually, to cherish their wives.
- 2:38That matters. But wives are also called
- 2:41to honor the covenant with their bodies.
- 2:43Desire desire doesn't die because of
- 2:45age. Passion doesn't expire with
- 2:47seasons. God did not desire design
- 2:50marriage to become sexless sexless over
- 2:53time. Marriage is meant to remain
- 2:55affectionate, joyful and intimate. Not
- 2:58driven by hormones, driven by covenant.
- 3:00Intimacy is not about performance. It's
- 3:02about pursuit. I choose you. I still
- 3:05want you. I am committed to you. That
- 3:07matters. That message matters deeply and
- 3:10into a man's heart. And when it
- 3:12disappears, something breaks. Paul's not
- 3:14being crude. He's being protective. He
- 3:17wants marriages strong. He wants men
- 3:19faithful. He wants women secure. He
- 3:21wants homes holy. So here scriptures
- 3:24say, "Husbands, love your wives like
- 3:27Christ. Wives, honor the covenant with
- 3:29your bodies. Together protect the
- 3:31marriage bed because God designed it as
- 3:33a gift and a guard." So run today's
- 3:36play. Husbands, pursue your wife with
- 3:39love and prayer. Discuss with your wives
- 3:41about honoring your her covenant with
- 3:43generosity and refuse distance and
- 3:46choose closeness. Protect what God has
- 3:48given you. Men, if this huddle helps you
- 3:51to know God better so you can love him
- 3:53more, share it with a friend and write a
- 3:54comment so that other men can find their
- 3:56way into the huddle.
