- 2:39Speaker 4: I don't know when we feel like fooling with this
- 2:41Speaker 4: right now. I don't even feel like fooling with.
- 2:46Speaker 1: That right now now. People don't wanna act right. I
- 2:49Speaker 1: just wanna come up. So, y'all, this is what we

- 2:55Speaker 1: We just be keeping it real. And this is what
- 2:57Speaker 1: we be dealing with when we're dealing with these different
- 3:01Speaker 1: devices and these different little things I'm trying to get
- 3:04Speaker 1: set up, trying to get stuff going for you guys,
- 3:07Speaker 1: so I can go ahead and get this challenge for
- 3:10Speaker 1: today out of the way, because we're still doing the
- 3:15Speaker 1: twenty one day Challenge Visibility Challenge, where.
- 3:18Speaker 3: We are.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Show showing our brands and be invisible, making connections connect
- 3:27Speaker 1: them with those that support the things that we do.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So y'all, I am getting ready to pull up our
- 3:33Speaker 1: challenge for today for those that are authors. If you're
- 3:38Speaker 1: not attached to the one hundred out the movement, you
- 3:40Speaker 1: still have an opportunity to get attached. Know that you
- 3:43Speaker 1: can still get attached to what we're doing over there.
- 3:52Speaker 1: It's all about the four seeds, and the four seeds
- 3:55Speaker 1: is communicate, connect, collaborate, creates and help community bill. The
- 4:03Speaker 1: four seas is connect, communication, elaborate, create, and community bill.
- 4:09Speaker 1: That's what we're doing over at the one hundred Author Movements. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, everyone, Welcome,
- 4:14Speaker 1: everyone welcome. If you are an author, you might want
- 4:16Speaker 1: to hang around. If you are an author, you may
- 4:18Speaker 1: want to stick around. This is I am an author
- 4:22Speaker 1: and we are currently doing a twenty one day challenge
- 4:25Speaker 1: a part of the one hundred Author movement. So I
- 4:31Speaker 1: am going I am live right now, getting ready to
- 4:35Speaker 1: discuss my day four we have. So, okay, I have
- 4:46Speaker 1: to take this car. Hello, I have to take this
- 4:51Speaker 1: car because this is one of the guys calling from
- 4:53Speaker 1: the prison. I think it's Cornell, So I have to
- 4:56Speaker 1: take this car. So I'm gonna take this call and
- 4:58Speaker 1: then I'm gonna jump back on here and we're gonna
- 5:00Speaker 1: talk about I'm still I'm still gonna be live, but
- 5:02Speaker 1: I'm just gonna take this call so I can, and
- 5:06Speaker 1: then I'm gonna jump back on and we're gonna talk
- 5:08Speaker 1: about that challenge. Y'all. See, I told y'all this, this
- 5:11Speaker 1: is what we do. We adapt, we adapt to what
- 5:13Speaker 1: we're doing. So I'm alive right now. So what I'm
- 5:17Speaker 1: going to do is have this conversation with you guys. So, hey,
- 5:21Speaker 1: mister Cornell, how are you? I am currently live on TikTok,
- 5:28Speaker 1: Twitch YouTube and so stack. So we were getting ready
- 5:34Speaker 1: to talk about our day for challenge, but you called in.
- 5:38Speaker 1: So you know, I always have to yield the floor
- 5:40Speaker 1: to you guys when y'all called in because I advocate
- 5:43Speaker 1: and I support you guys. So how are you today?
- 5:48Speaker 3: Ma'am. I'm doing great today, ma'am. And yes, ma'am, it's
- 5:51Speaker 3: a beautiful day. So thank you, ma'am for allowing me
- 5:54Speaker 3: to opportunity to be a boy today. So thank you
- 5:58Speaker 3: very much.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Man, So what what what can I say is going
- 6:04Speaker 1: on in the current TDC J.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Well, ma'am, you know a lot of gods to actually
- 6:12Speaker 3: speak questions about why is this system so broken? Okay?
- 6:16Speaker 3: And what it's just that outside people are trying to
- 6:20Speaker 3: do the picture. Well, ma'am, it seems obvious that nobody
- 6:24Speaker 3: is really you know, I'm not saying that ain't nobody
- 6:26Speaker 3: trying to do something, but what that is they're trying
- 6:29Speaker 3: to do, ma'am, it's not even enough because it's like
- 6:32Speaker 3: the handle is not even a movie, ma'am.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Well, first you got to understand this too. Going now,
- 6:39Speaker 1: we we we as people have to understand this. We
- 6:43Speaker 1: are we are talking from a black perspective. These white
- 6:47Speaker 1: people don't want to hear nothing we got to say.
- 6:49Speaker 1: So we're having to work extra, extra, extra, extra, extra hard.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So what may have what may take white people only
- 6:57Speaker 1: ten years, it's taking us thirty forty fifty years to
- 7:00Speaker 1: even get people to start recognizing. You know, y'all may
- 7:04Speaker 1: think that nobody sees, nobody hears, nobody is doing anything,
- 7:08Speaker 1: but Babe, trust and believe there's so many people out
- 7:11Speaker 1: here that is going to war that Jasmine Crockett from
- 7:15Speaker 1: Texas and that she's something to be messed with, and
- 7:18Speaker 1: let them keep messing with her. She gonna I'm voting
- 7:22Speaker 1: for her. I'm writing her in the next election. If
- 7:24Speaker 1: don't nobody vote her in, if she ain't on the
- 7:27Speaker 1: ball that I'm writing her in because she need to
- 7:30Speaker 1: be our next president if you want the truth be told.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Right now, she's the only person I see that's walking
- 7:36Speaker 1: around with a backbone and truly representing. And it's not
- 7:39Speaker 1: about no agenda. This lady could be about so much more,
- 7:42Speaker 1: but she's not. She's truly showing that she's about her people.
- 7:45Speaker 1: And if we had a thousand more of her, we
- 7:48Speaker 1: probably could be really seeing a change. But it's gonna
- 7:52Speaker 1: take all of us, and it's gonna take us doing
- 7:55Speaker 1: something and not just talking. I mean, we can write
- 7:57Speaker 1: people all day, and we can run for office and
- 8:00Speaker 1: getting these offices and we can sit there, but we're
- 8:02Speaker 1: gonna have to do the work. And it starts with us.
- 8:05Speaker 3: You're right, and you're right now. See, I remember the
- 8:08Speaker 3: times when you started following her, when she made a
- 8:11Speaker 3: statement that her constituents in Austin or in the Capitol
- 8:15Speaker 3: was not doing nothing, that they act like they didn't
- 8:17Speaker 3: understand the process. And when she said Dan, you was like, wow,
- 8:21Speaker 3: she's standing up. She acts like she talking like she
- 8:24Speaker 3: got a back phone. So I ca what we call,
- 8:26Speaker 3: ma'am when you saw that following her, and you have
- 8:28Speaker 3: been following her every since. This was way last year somewhere,
- 8:31Speaker 3: so you know it's obvious, ma'am that, like you say,
- 8:34Speaker 3: she's sing a voice a book of the people in
- 8:37Speaker 3: the right wing that if we had others like her,
- 8:39Speaker 3: then things could possibly change. But ma'am, after right now, ma'am,
- 8:44Speaker 3: get guys over here stressing pretty bad because it's only
- 8:48Speaker 3: the over fifteen thousand people to make Corona. We're still here.
- 8:52Speaker 1: So when was the last time one of them had
- 8:54Speaker 1: their family members go down to the to the state House.
- 8:57Speaker 1: When was the last time one of them had their
- 8:59Speaker 1: family member to write a letter to their representative. When
- 9:02Speaker 1: was the last time one of them had a family
- 9:05Speaker 1: member to contact their governor to to to to make
- 9:08Speaker 1: some traction. I mean, we say all this stuff and
- 9:11Speaker 1: we say, what ain't going on? But what are we
- 9:14Speaker 1: doing to make some noise? And not just write a
- 9:16Speaker 1: letter one time? Are we writing every week? Are we writing?
- 9:20Speaker 1: We are these people knowing who you are? Are they
- 9:23Speaker 1: when they get your email? Are they saying always hug in?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Or is that what they're saying? Because I can guarantee
- 9:29Speaker 1: you that's what they're saying about me, because I'm not
- 9:31Speaker 1: letting up. And that's the attitude and and and that
- 9:36Speaker 1: is the attitude that everyone else need to have. If
- 9:40Speaker 1: there if that not the attitude and the drive and
- 9:43Speaker 1: the motivation and the determination that they have, then it's
- 9:46Speaker 1: not going to work. We can write a letter one
- 9:48Speaker 1: time and say oh, well we've done something. No, we've
- 9:50Speaker 1: not done anything.
- 9:52Speaker 3: That's right. I can say that meeting a part of
- 9:59Speaker 3: your platform, you have affectively effectively push the kere for us,
- 10:07Speaker 3: because ma'am, you have figured out a way how to
- 10:09Speaker 3: tag everybody at one time. And I've been here, I've
- 10:13Speaker 3: listened to you read their emails back to you. So
- 10:16Speaker 3: asking the question about their individual families, we cannot to
- 10:20Speaker 3: these individual statement position system governors or stuff like that, ma'am.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Sometimes it makes me think that they don't know what
- 10:27Speaker 3: they're doing, or that say, the people that they do
- 10:29Speaker 3: talk to, like a clerk or secretary, ma'am, they're not
- 10:32Speaker 3: getting the results of their action. Fuck but I've seen you.
- 10:35Speaker 1: But do you start one? Once you get that one
- 10:38Speaker 1: person that does not give you the results, you know
- 10:42Speaker 1: what you got to keep going you You got to
- 10:44Speaker 1: tap into that person that is going to help you,
- 10:47Speaker 1: like everybody is not. Everybody is not a person that's
- 10:51Speaker 1: not gonna help. And then if you if you tag
- 10:54Speaker 1: a lot of people, if you tag people that see
- 10:57Speaker 1: that other people. When people start seeing that other people
- 11:01Speaker 1: are being tagged and other people are being attached and
- 11:03Speaker 1: other people are being it's called accountability when when you
- 11:06Speaker 1: are holding people accountable. So I don't just send it
- 11:09Speaker 1: to one person. I send it to a lot of people,
- 11:10Speaker 1: even to people that may not have nothing to do
- 11:13Speaker 1: with it. But I'm writing about when you know what
- 11:15Speaker 1: they tell me they said, this is not for my department,
- 11:17Speaker 1: but I'll forward it onto another department. Why they do
- 11:20Speaker 1: that because in the beginning they wouldn't doing that, But
- 11:22Speaker 1: why they do it now because they see that other
- 11:24Speaker 1: people are attached to it. They see the other people
- 11:26Speaker 1: see this. It's not just them in this email that
- 11:29Speaker 1: there's other people in this email too, So maybe they
- 11:31Speaker 1: need to try that.
- 11:34Speaker 3: And that's true. You're absolutely right now because I'm sorry
- 11:37Speaker 3: for Mother Telfers. I haven't lined up for a long time.
- 11:40Speaker 3: And you can believe one thing. I have never ever
- 11:42Speaker 3: seen some propound mind corsration over forty the directors. I
- 11:51Speaker 3: have never seen all these people come to one unit
- 11:54Speaker 3: at one time. Never Chris Carter treating Brusse people came
- 12:00Speaker 3: to this unit because you put a post out there
- 12:03Speaker 3: complaining to them about the unconstitutional living conditions here as
- 12:07Speaker 3: at Sapien State their facility.
- 12:10Speaker 1: And yeah, and they need to do their job and
- 12:15Speaker 1: how they act and then they go with the third
- 12:18Speaker 1: party cars. Stop listening so hard, and you won't think
- 12:21Speaker 1: we're on the third party car because we're not on
- 12:23Speaker 1: a third party call.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Well, ma'am, they did come, and they have been fiction
- 12:30Speaker 3: everything that they can find. They shut the kitchen window
- 12:33Speaker 3: down because they're not washing them thirty trades in that
- 12:36Speaker 3: washing machine, and that washing them on the trans camps.
- 12:40Speaker 1: So they're doing their job.
- 12:41Speaker 3: The job.
- 12:43Speaker 1: They're doing their job. They're making sure that you have
- 12:45Speaker 1: a safe environment to cohabitate. You know, it's not about
- 12:50Speaker 1: it's not about trying to make a what they say,
- 12:56Speaker 1: we're trying to make it a comfortable No, it's not
- 12:59Speaker 1: about making it. But we're just trying to make you
- 13:01Speaker 1: do your job. When you're trying to make you to
- 13:04Speaker 1: make it a human habitable and not teat people like animals.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Because just because people have committed a crime or in
- 13:13Speaker 1: a lot of their cases, are wrongfully and overly incarcerated.
- 13:17Speaker 1: That's what we're finding out a lot of in a
- 13:19Speaker 1: state of Texas and a lot around the United States
- 13:22Speaker 1: that concerns our Brown people. A lot of them are
- 13:24Speaker 1: wrongfully and overly incarcerated. And then on top of that,
- 13:28Speaker 1: we have to deal with the inhumane things that's going on.
- 13:34Speaker 1: We complain about what they're doing in l. L. Salvador
- 13:39Speaker 1: and all those other places. Well, if y'all are dishearted
- 13:43Speaker 1: about that, then think about what's happening right here on
- 13:46Speaker 1: our own soult Those same things are happening right here
- 13:49Speaker 1: within the prison system. You tell me how a lot
- 13:53Speaker 1: of these prison systems are getting drugs in When you
- 13:57Speaker 1: getting script search during this when you go visit. So
- 14:02Speaker 1: a lot of the wardens I hear are saying that
- 14:04Speaker 1: it's the family's reason why a lot of these drugs
- 14:07Speaker 1: and stuff is stirc relating inside of the prison system,
- 14:10Speaker 1: which is totally a lie. That's not no family members
- 14:15Speaker 1: reason why they want to say no family members are
- 14:18Speaker 1: sending money because they think they loved ones need something,
- 14:21Speaker 1: and then when they find out that they love one
- 14:23Speaker 1: is on drugs and that I can guarantee you, they're stopping.
- 14:25Speaker 1: They're not contributing to sending no money to contribute to
- 14:30Speaker 1: no habit that was developed inside that prison system. Because
- 14:33Speaker 1: as I'm listening and talking to a lot of these
- 14:35Speaker 1: people that are inside the prison system, they loved ones,
- 14:40Speaker 1: we're not on drugs when they went in, So they
- 14:43Speaker 1: developed this habit and they developed this addiction on the inside,
- 14:49Speaker 1: you know, And that is across the board. That's what
- 14:51Speaker 1: I'm seeing across the board, and that.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Is a problem.
- 14:55Speaker 1: That is a serious problem, and it needs to be addressed,
- 14:58Speaker 1: and it needs to start with the warden because he's
- 15:01Speaker 1: in control of what goes on his facility. So if
- 15:04Speaker 1: he's saying that it is the the family members, then
- 15:08Speaker 1: what are you doing to make sure that the family
- 15:12Speaker 1: members are not contributed. You know you have a point
- 15:15Speaker 1: that you can play too, Yes, ma'am.
- 15:20Speaker 3: That's true, ma'am. And see you made you made a
- 15:23Speaker 3: point yesterday on your life regarding the fact that you
- 15:27Speaker 3: know these people can do better about these inmates, especially
- 15:30Speaker 3: those have already been granted in parole. Man, they should
- 15:33Speaker 3: be able to set up an establishment now where these
- 15:35Speaker 3: people are being streamed and these people being placed in
- 15:38Speaker 3: the right and their right category of individuals.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Okay, I wrote an article, I wrote these people. I've
- 15:46Speaker 1: told these people I've been I've been speaking about that.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I've even at t DCJ. If they wanted to sit
- 15:51Speaker 1: down with me and I can work. I really could
- 15:53Speaker 1: work on a program with them to show them how
- 15:56Speaker 1: they can work these how they can work the inmates
- 15:58Speaker 1: through the system, and it's a better system than what
- 16:01Speaker 1: they're doing. Just like we run i EPs for these
- 16:05Speaker 1: kids and determine what they need to be able to
- 16:09Speaker 1: graduate and making sure that they follow this plan so
- 16:13Speaker 1: that they can graduate, then that's what we need to
- 16:16Speaker 1: be doing in these prison systems. What is the classification
- 16:18Speaker 1: really doing when you're classifying these these inmates, How are
- 16:22Speaker 1: you classifying them. That's the whole that's the whole purpose
- 16:26Speaker 1: of the classification process, the classification process. They should have
- 16:30Speaker 1: these facilities. And I say it again, and I'm not
- 16:32Speaker 1: gonna change what I'm saying. The facilities should be designed
- 16:36Speaker 1: and set up to facilitate whichever realabilitation program that you're
- 16:40Speaker 1: sending this person to. If you're sending them to a
- 16:42Speaker 1: trade program, if they're gonna be learning a trade while
- 16:45Speaker 1: they're there in the prison system, then you send them
- 16:47Speaker 1: to a program that's gonna allow them to be able
- 16:49Speaker 1: to get that trade. If they're objective is to get
- 16:53Speaker 1: a four year degree or whatever type of degree, then
- 16:57Speaker 1: you send them to a program that's gonna allow them
- 16:59Speaker 1: to get that. If they have a drug problem, then
- 17:03Speaker 1: you need to send them to a program that's gonna
- 17:06Speaker 1: help them work with that drug problem so that when
- 17:10Speaker 1: they come back out, when they go through this process,
- 17:12Speaker 1: when they while they're being rehabilitated, they're truly being rehabilitated
- 17:17Speaker 1: and not just pushed through. And that's what's happening. So
- 17:20Speaker 1: when you got a process in plan ahead of time,
- 17:23Speaker 1: then you can you can adjust and adapt to situation
- 17:27Speaker 1: as they come up. But when you go in with
- 17:28Speaker 1: no plan, you gonna have what you have there in TDCJ.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Because they don't have a plan, they may can stuff
- 17:35Speaker 1: up as they go. And we see this because we
- 17:39Speaker 1: see it as things are planning out. We see the
- 17:41Speaker 1: programs that they do have in place in certain other
- 17:43Speaker 1: places and they are working. So why have you not
- 17:48Speaker 1: modeled that program in other programs in other facilities. You
- 17:54Speaker 1: got over one hundred and something facilities, but you only
- 17:57Speaker 1: doing this program and one or two places, and then
- 18:00Speaker 1: talking about the success of the program, But then really
- 18:04Speaker 1: it's not a success because it's not TDTJ worldwide, it's
- 18:08Speaker 1: not through the whole prison system. It's only at that facility.
- 18:12Speaker 1: So if you can model that throughout the prison system,
- 18:15Speaker 1: then we can start seeing the change, then we can
- 18:18Speaker 1: start seeing stuff. But until we do that, we're not
- 18:20Speaker 1: gonna see We're gonna continue to see the same thing.
- 18:24Speaker 1: And until these until these loved ones and and these
- 18:29Speaker 1: people that vote in the state of Texas, these these
- 18:32Speaker 1: citizens into the State of Texas decide that they want
- 18:35Speaker 1: better and they want a better system, it's gonna continue
- 18:38Speaker 1: to be the same thing. Because you ain't got nobody
- 18:40Speaker 1: going down, You ain't got you ain't got nobody that's
- 18:42Speaker 1: wanting to stand up, that's running for offices, that's that's
- 18:45Speaker 1: coming in and saying, Okay, this is what we need
- 18:47Speaker 1: to do. This is the changes that need to be made.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I guess I need to move.
- 18:51Speaker 3: To Texas correct on a lot of that man. And
- 18:58Speaker 3: you know, like like now, Alan, you know these people
- 19:02Speaker 3: are pushing dealing right now. I can put on classes
- 19:08Speaker 3: and programs, but they're not coming over here and looking
- 19:12Speaker 3: at this stuff for themselves. What the problem is.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Okay, Can I get some people to tag Alma Allen?
- 19:17Speaker 1: Can I get some people to tag Alma Allen and
- 19:19Speaker 1: and ask Alma. If you are in Texas, please tag
- 19:22Speaker 1: Elma Allen and ask her why she's not doing her job.
- 19:26Speaker 1: If you are a if you are a Texas citizen
- 19:28Speaker 1: and you are tuned in on this TikTok do YouTube,
- 19:32Speaker 1: this twitch, it asks Alma Allen why she's not doing
- 19:37Speaker 1: her job? And and and listen to what the people
- 19:40Speaker 1: are saying. The people are speaking, and the people that
- 19:43Speaker 1: are speaking of the people that are concerned, the ones
- 19:45Speaker 1: that y'all are talking about, the ones that are behind
- 19:47Speaker 1: these prison water. So go ahead, say tell Alma Allan
- 19:51Speaker 1: what you want her to do?
- 19:57Speaker 3: And yeah, she spend always can recording hell information about
- 20:00Speaker 3: the programs, but she's not doing anything because I have
- 20:04Speaker 3: been lighting her.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Okay, I'm asking you. I want you to tell her.
- 20:09Speaker 1: We don't want to talk about what we have done.
- 20:11Speaker 1: You want to talk about what we need her to do.
- 20:13Speaker 1: So tell her today live on air, what you need
- 20:18Speaker 1: Alma Alan Representative Alma Allen to do.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Okay, thank you very much, ma'am. My neighbor is Cornel Drummer.
- 20:28Speaker 3: I'm a Texas president made of thirty five years head
- 20:31Speaker 3: the Safe Jail feelity to mean, yes, you know the
- 20:34Speaker 3: rehabilitation f I six program. And I am coming to you,
- 20:38Speaker 3: ma'am as a statement presentative pushing deals regarding the rehabilitation
- 20:43Speaker 3: divisions of the programs. And I'm asking for you, ma'am,
- 20:47Speaker 3: to get in with this, to come and see what's
- 20:49Speaker 3: going on in these facilities and see that these facilities
- 20:53Speaker 3: are broken and we are not getting the soon we need.
- 20:55Speaker 3: All are these people releasing us from our parole. We
- 20:59Speaker 3: have been laid parole over a year ago and were
- 21:01Speaker 3: still here. Some people that made eighteen months ago and
- 21:05Speaker 3: they're still here. They have halfway haulers and all of
- 21:08Speaker 3: these cities who are afford to capacity for animates are
- 21:11Speaker 3: being held in these facilities after making paroles, ain't completing
- 21:15Speaker 3: the FR six program and cannot be released because halfway
- 21:19Speaker 3: houses a whole to capacity. But the State of Texans
- 21:21Speaker 3: are not doing anything to try to twelve fathers issues,
- 21:25Speaker 3: to try to fix the system. The people don't have
- 21:27Speaker 3: for me that long to be able to get out
- 21:29Speaker 3: of prison.
- 21:30Speaker 1: And I'm gonna put a challenge child, since this is
- 21:33Speaker 1: what this is what's needed, so and we know what's
- 21:36Speaker 1: going on, So I'm gonna challenge my brown people. I'm
- 21:38Speaker 1: gonna challenge my black and brown people that got the funds,
- 21:41Speaker 1: that got the resources, they got to know how to
- 21:43Speaker 1: come together, y'all. It's time to come together. If we
- 21:46Speaker 1: know we need halfway houses, then why are we not
- 21:48Speaker 1: building halfway houses? Why are we not raising enough halfway
- 21:51Speaker 1: houses so that our family members, our brothers, our sisters
- 21:54Speaker 1: can come home from prison, and come home from prison
- 21:56Speaker 1: and get back into the world and be projective citizens.
- 21:59Speaker 1: We hear the need. So if we hear the need,
- 22:01Speaker 1: then while we are not meeting the need as black
- 22:04Speaker 1: and brown people, these are our people that are in need.
- 22:06Speaker 1: So why are we not standing up and why are
- 22:09Speaker 1: we not developing this in our community if we know
- 22:11Speaker 1: that there's a need. So, Texas, I'm calling on you
- 22:14Speaker 1: to stand up, the citizens of Texas, my brown and
- 22:16Speaker 1: black people. I need you to step up and stand up.
- 22:19Speaker 1: If you have the resources, if you have to know how,
- 22:22Speaker 1: then I need you to come together and I need
- 22:24Speaker 1: you to get on this. We need halfway houses to
- 22:27Speaker 1: all black and brown people so that they can come
- 22:29Speaker 1: out of prison, so they can transition, so they don't
- 22:31Speaker 1: have to be eighteen months over their release date. Why
- 22:35Speaker 1: because it's doing nothing but fattening the pockets of Texas,
- 22:38Speaker 1: Because it ain't doing nothing but putting money in their pocket.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Because we know it's all about a dollar. Everybody know
- 22:43Speaker 1: what it's all about. We know the prison system was
- 22:46Speaker 1: never designed for us, never will be designed for us.
- 22:48Speaker 1: And until we stand up and do something about it,
- 22:51Speaker 1: we're still gonna continue to hear these stories. It's not
- 22:54Speaker 1: gonna change.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Well, thank you, ma'am. You know that's good to be
- 23:02Speaker 3: pushing that to the mistead on my Allen to get
- 23:05Speaker 3: her involved with this man, because her and a lot
- 23:07Speaker 3: of other statement pretendants need to know what's going on,
- 23:10Speaker 3: they need to come and see for themselves, and that
- 23:13Speaker 3: they need to contact the parole board and have them
- 23:16Speaker 3: to do better by making sure that these people have
- 23:18Speaker 3: a release day immediately upon their release of completion of
- 23:22Speaker 3: the program. They got one guy here, he's in two
- 23:25Speaker 3: programs by a parole board M five three and M
- 23:29Speaker 3: five six, so they double bill and getting money from
- 23:32Speaker 3: him from M five six and money from him from
- 23:34Speaker 3: HELP five three. This is not right.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Well, I got your co hosts, got your co hosts
- 23:42Speaker 1: on co hosts on stops because she just tagged Alman Allen,
- 23:47Speaker 1: So we got Alman Allen tagged in this post. So
- 23:53Speaker 1: go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
- 23:58Speaker 3: You know.
- 24:00Speaker 5: This subject, You know this one is very close to
- 24:04Speaker 5: my heart. And we're not playing about our men of
- 24:11Speaker 5: color over.
- 24:11Speaker 2: There in Texas.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Are all over the world.
- 24:17Speaker 5: You know, for Africa, thirteen percent of the Proformation, we
- 24:24Speaker 5: have thirty seven percent.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Of our color.
- 24:32Speaker 5: Men women aren't in prison. Being that Texas is the
- 24:38Speaker 5: number one state.
- 24:40Speaker 3: That house.
- 24:42Speaker 5: All of them. H is the highest country that condicts
- 24:52Speaker 5: men and women of color wrongfully. You don't have to.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Statistics.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I gotta do is google. You can you google Texas.
- 25:08Speaker 1: You could google the corruption in Texas. You google Texas
- 25:12Speaker 1: judicial system. You google it and it's gonna give you
- 25:15Speaker 1: the the god honest truth and you can see it.
- 25:18Speaker 1: It's it's nothing that nobody's making up. This is something
- 25:21Speaker 1: that has happened. And then everybody running the Texas, everybody
- 25:24Speaker 1: run the Texas for everybody was running Texas for a
- 25:27Speaker 1: long time, just running the Texas. And then what was
- 25:29Speaker 1: happening all our people getting locked up, all our back
- 25:33Speaker 1: and around people getting locked up and in prison.
- 25:40Speaker 3: Ever before.
- 25:52Speaker 5: Every Yeah, they leave the country.
- 26:02Speaker 1: They are in the top five and execution, so they
- 26:07Speaker 1: don't care.
- 26:08Speaker 3: You.
- 26:09Speaker 1: You got you got governor hot wheels that don't care nothing.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Heat so far up. Trump's behind. That's that's all he
- 26:16Speaker 1: can do. Worrying about providing providing some beds for immigrants.
- 26:22Speaker 1: He want to provide beds to house ice people. But
- 26:26Speaker 1: you don't want to try to help get these people
- 26:28Speaker 1: out of prison because he know what it's about. It's
- 26:30Speaker 1: all about money. All you got to do is follow
- 26:32Speaker 1: the money trail. You follow the money trail. You follow
- 26:36Speaker 1: you want to find out why those people are not
- 26:37Speaker 1: going home. You find out about the people that's managing
- 26:41Speaker 1: that that that facility over there, because it's not it's
- 26:44Speaker 1: not TDC Jack. They have other people. They have third
- 26:47Speaker 1: party people that are coming in, contractors that are coming
- 26:50Speaker 1: in and running these facilities. So if you want to
- 26:53Speaker 1: know why these prisoners are not going home, because it's
- 26:55Speaker 1: all about the dollar. It's all about the dollar. TDC
- 27:00Speaker 1: the TDCJ don't want they hands in it, so they
- 27:03Speaker 1: contracted to somebody else. But I can guarantee you that
- 27:05Speaker 1: they already got their money's out of it. So they've
- 27:07Speaker 1: probably already pocketed theirs. So now they don't even get
- 27:12Speaker 1: You can tell because if you look at the facility
- 27:14Speaker 1: and what was going on in the facility, it's too
- 27:17Speaker 1: much was going on over there. These people had one toilet,
- 27:20Speaker 1: one shower for fifty eight people. You flush the toilet
- 27:24Speaker 1: and feces was coming up running all over the floor.
- 27:27Speaker 1: That is unhumane. You don't even animals should even be
- 27:31Speaker 1: treated like that. A lot of us in America treat
- 27:35Speaker 1: our animals better than we treat those people that are incarcerated.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Because'm gonna tell you, Angel back down, my mama baby,
- 27:42Speaker 1: my mama baby, my baby. That baby is fall and
- 27:46Speaker 1: gets so her cage ain't dirty. Yeah, she gets she
- 27:52Speaker 1: gets fed and when she barked, she get to go
- 27:55Speaker 1: out and it ain't on unsanitary stuff. So we can
- 27:57Speaker 1: treat we can treat animals by like like royalty, then
- 28:01Speaker 1: why can't we treat our humans like like like they
- 28:05Speaker 1: are humans and not like animals. That's how we ask it.
- 28:12Speaker 1: And to give them the right the right tools and
- 28:16Speaker 1: the right things that they can have to transition back
- 28:18Speaker 1: into this world. You know, all they asked for a chance.
- 28:21Speaker 1: You know a lot of you guys that are out
- 28:23Speaker 1: here on the outside, if if the truth be told,
- 28:26Speaker 1: a lot of you guys need to be behind the
- 28:28Speaker 1: prison wall. But you didn't get taught. Yes, ma'am.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Well, here's a guy who's completed at the program. His
- 28:35Speaker 3: name is Holliday. He's a good friend of missus Shanetta.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Let's talk about it, and he would like to speak
- 28:40Speaker 3: and say to tell y'all that he completed the program
- 28:42Speaker 3: and tell y'all what his problem is and he can't
- 28:45Speaker 3: get out of prison. Holiday. Hello, I just comp there's
- 28:56Speaker 3: third of people who the League has already complete the
- 28:59Speaker 3: program and we still sit here and holding up dead space.
- 29:04Speaker 3: So people in the hot here and the team, I
- 29:07Speaker 3: mean the clavifications brothers say they saying that they got
- 29:09Speaker 3: phases to go through and that's full come, you know
- 29:12Speaker 3: what I'm saying. They just try. I got us sitting
- 29:14Speaker 3: over here holding their spaces. I'm sitting wait for my paperwork.
- 29:17Speaker 3: I already didn't sent through on eating your saying successful fleeting,
- 29:22Speaker 3: but they fail or still center state. They wait like
- 29:24Speaker 3: a month or two before we get a date. And
- 29:27Speaker 3: it's hard for me to get a date because I'm
- 29:29Speaker 3: stilling a suck on the league as you insider, not
- 29:32Speaker 3: in my release unit. We're gonna give relief on which
- 29:34Speaker 3: says to paying Lenskes State jail. So I'm trying to
- 29:37Speaker 3: figure out why it's so long for me to sit
- 29:39Speaker 3: ahead and wait on the date.
- 29:42Speaker 1: And I don't understand. I don't understand. Okay, So do
- 29:47Speaker 1: they not have a program at the facility that you're
- 29:49Speaker 1: supposed to be released from.
- 29:52Speaker 3: They got more.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Home, so why didn't they send you to the facility
- 29:56Speaker 1: that you're supposed to be released from to complete your
- 29:58Speaker 1: program so that you want to have to go through that,
- 30:01Speaker 1: so that you will already be at your facility and
- 30:04Speaker 1: once you complete the program they can go on and
- 30:06Speaker 1: transition you out. See that's the issue that I have.
- 30:08Speaker 1: And that's what I've been telling from the beginning, every
- 30:11Speaker 1: time I write them, that's what I tell them. You know,
- 30:14Speaker 1: this is something that needs to be taken care of.
- 30:16Speaker 1: When y'all come in doing classification and you wouldn't have
- 30:19Speaker 1: these issues like that's something that leadership need to address.
- 30:23Speaker 1: That's that's a leadership issue and that should be addressed
- 30:27Speaker 1: knowing classic classification. Just and I say it again, just
- 30:32Speaker 1: like we have EPs for the kids in school, epis
- 30:38Speaker 1: and all this stuff to track these kids that have
- 30:41Speaker 1: issues in school to make sure that they graduate and
- 30:44Speaker 1: make sure that they're able to fulfill the needs to
- 30:47Speaker 1: what they're supposed to do to graduate. That's the same
- 30:49Speaker 1: thing that the prison system need. Ain't nothing different. We're
- 30:54Speaker 1: trying to get them through through real abilitation. So we
- 30:57Speaker 1: need steps to getting them through realbilitation. It's not going
- 30:59Speaker 1: to change if you if you put these these these
- 31:04Speaker 1: things in place, they worked if you work them. But see,
- 31:09Speaker 1: people don't want to do their jobs, and we've seen
- 31:10Speaker 1: that over and over inside of t d c J.
- 31:13Speaker 1: They don't want to do their jobs. So this is
- 31:17Speaker 1: what's happening, and then they brush it off, and they
- 31:21Speaker 1: brush it off, and then they put it out because
- 31:23Speaker 1: I can guarantee you what's gonna happen is they're gonna
- 31:26Speaker 1: blame They're gonna blame the the the company that did y'all,
- 31:31Speaker 1: that did y'all program. They're gonna be the reason why
- 31:35Speaker 1: y'all was held up and all that, and it's gonna
- 31:38Speaker 1: go back and forth, and they're gonna keep putting the
- 31:41Speaker 1: blame back and forth because that's what they do. T
- 31:43Speaker 1: d CJ is known for that. But I've given them
- 31:47Speaker 1: an outlet. I've given them. I just told I went
- 31:52Speaker 1: through my master's program, my bachelor's program writing on t
- 31:56Speaker 1: d c J. Their their policies, their procedures, and how
- 32:00Speaker 1: they operate. That is what I and I managed to
- 32:04Speaker 1: to to grab a coom soon lighted and and and
- 32:09Speaker 1: this student of distincsion on honor. So I must have
- 32:15Speaker 1: did something right. So I'm just telling TDCJ, and I'm
- 32:19Speaker 1: telling them again if you need somebody to sit down
- 32:23Speaker 1: with you and willing to walk with you through this
- 32:26Speaker 1: so that we can better serve the inmates, so that
- 32:29Speaker 1: they can be better prepared and productive citizens when they
- 32:34Speaker 1: come back out, so that this don't be a reviving door.
- 32:37Speaker 1: And and see that's something that they are not doing
- 32:41Speaker 1: that they are designed for this to be a resolving Zoe.
- 32:44Speaker 1: They want you to keep coming back and they want
- 32:47Speaker 1: to make it hard for you to get out. That's
- 32:51Speaker 1: that's that that whole that's the whole agenda. And when
- 32:54Speaker 1: we realize that we, hey, family members, need to get involved.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Well, ma'am, this is the problem I'm having right now.
- 33:03Speaker 3: But I'm trying to get hip on this center. I
- 33:05Speaker 3: can get transferred into my pickle, you know, which is
- 33:09Speaker 3: the paying mens to stay jail. Because if I feel
- 33:11Speaker 3: like I can get transferred to my junity, I feel
- 33:14Speaker 3: like that my least shad step that it'll come quot
- 33:17Speaker 3: than it is. Sitting on that the media is you're
- 33:20Speaker 3: still in the program, already completed it.
- 33:24Speaker 1: So do they not know? Do they not know you're
- 33:26Speaker 1: supposed to be at that unit?
- 33:29Speaker 3: Nah, they don't, They don't. They're not supposed to be here.
- 33:31Speaker 3: They just feel like he was.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Saying, so if so, if they so? If they okay,
- 33:38Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out if if we if we
- 33:42Speaker 1: contact them and ask them for a transfer? What what
- 33:44Speaker 1: would make them give you a transfer over making them
- 33:47Speaker 1: do their job? Because if they know you completed this
- 33:51Speaker 1: program and that you're not supposed to be at that facility,
- 33:55Speaker 1: that you're supposed to be at this other facility that
- 33:57Speaker 1: we're asking for a transfer for, then what's the make
- 34:00Speaker 1: them give you a chanswer? That's what I'm trying to
- 34:02Speaker 1: figure out. What's gonna make these people do do other
- 34:05Speaker 1: than their job? Because their job you're telling us that
- 34:08Speaker 1: you're completed. So if you're completed, then why don't they
- 34:11Speaker 1: just send you where you're supposed to go.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Well, that's what we're trying to That's what I'm trying
- 34:16Speaker 3: to get somebody to find out for whenever they gotta
- 34:18Speaker 3: contact or the RPD cofidis and let them know while
- 34:21Speaker 3: we got to get make sitting in this program over there,
- 34:24Speaker 3: that's that's that's that's that's that's a successfully completed and
- 34:28Speaker 3: they've been wait a while. We can't get them until
- 34:30Speaker 3: they go home, you know, instead of sitting nowhere hold
- 34:33Speaker 3: enough bedspace for somebody else. It's trying to get get
- 34:37Speaker 3: the program into the program. You got peoples getting in
- 34:41Speaker 3: the program to a three months late and then y'all
- 34:43Speaker 3: said that they two or three months late. So it's
- 34:45Speaker 3: a then you gotta wait to complete. So you know,
- 34:48Speaker 3: it's it's it's it's the system they got going on.
- 34:51Speaker 3: So I'm gonna ask for somebody to hear me. Get
- 34:53Speaker 3: to my, to my, to my, you know, don't get
- 34:56Speaker 3: released released from.
- 34:58Speaker 1: So he's putting in the plague out. So can you
- 35:01Speaker 1: tell the people who you are and how they can help,
- 35:04Speaker 1: because I'm gonna be honest. I have written a couple
- 35:09Speaker 1: of letters. Well, I have written a couple of letters. Well,
- 35:15Speaker 1: they're gonna have to call back, but I have written
- 35:17Speaker 1: a couple of letters. I have addressed this. We have
- 35:21Speaker 1: even looked into the management company that is over there
- 35:24Speaker 1: running this particular program at t DC Jack and we
- 35:28Speaker 1: see the issues that are going on over there. And
- 35:31Speaker 1: and just like that, just like we say, we follow
- 35:33Speaker 1: the money trail, Shannette, we followed the money trail. Then
- 35:38Speaker 1: what what what? So, y'all, Shannette is Shannette is one
- 35:44Speaker 1: of the hosts. She is actually the host of Let's
- 35:46Speaker 1: Talk About It. She and Cornell or Cole, they are
- 35:52Speaker 1: co hosts. Cornell is the guy that y'all heard first
- 35:59Speaker 1: that then He is Cheanette's co hosts and they're on
- 36:06Speaker 1: first and third Mondays, and this is what they talk about.
- 36:09Speaker 1: This is the things that they bring to awareness. So,
- 36:12Speaker 1: if you have a loved one that is incarcerated, no
- 36:16Speaker 1: matter where they are incarcerated. Channette has a husband that's
- 36:20Speaker 1: incarcerated in Colorado, so she goes hard for Colorado. Cornell
- 36:25Speaker 1: is in Texas. We go hard for Texas. We have
- 36:28Speaker 1: individuals in Florida, Alabama, Georgia. If you have a loved
- 36:34Speaker 1: one and you would like to bring some awareness to
- 36:37Speaker 1: their case, if they have been wrongfully or overly incarcerated
- 36:41Speaker 1: and you need to bring some awareness to their case,
- 36:43Speaker 1: Channette is definitely someone that can get you on the
- 36:46Speaker 1: show and we can get to talking about your case
- 36:49Speaker 1: and get it out there. We do clips through the
- 36:53Speaker 1: reels and we try to, you know, highlight it. We
- 36:56Speaker 1: run it in the magazine. We want people to know,
- 36:58Speaker 1: you know, what is happening to our brown people all
- 37:01Speaker 1: over this world. It's not just happening here in the
- 37:04Speaker 1: United States either, Because if you listen to doctor Chen,
- 37:07Speaker 1: Doctor Chen talks about it. She shares about it. Things
- 37:11Speaker 1: that are happening in the Virgin Outlands and even in Africa,
- 37:13Speaker 1: different places. So know that this is a problem. This
- 37:16Speaker 1: is a problem, and it needs to be addressed. It
- 37:19Speaker 1: needs to be addressed, and we're gonna do what we
- 37:22Speaker 1: can to continue to bring light to it. I tell you, y'all,
- 37:28Speaker 1: being a journalist and being on here and being you
- 37:32Speaker 1: gotta learn how to adapt. So today we truly had
- 37:34Speaker 1: to adapt. I jumped on. My intentions was to come
- 37:38Speaker 1: on and to talk about today's today's challenge. So since
- 37:44Speaker 1: I have Channette on here with me, y'all to and
- 37:49Speaker 1: they are calling back, so let me get them back on.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Today's challenge was to to share your your space, your
- 38:00Speaker 1: righting space, to share where you work and where you
- 38:03Speaker 1: make your magic happen. So y'all know that I am
- 38:06Speaker 1: a visionary of the Crew podcast. I am the editor
- 38:12Speaker 1: in chief of Aspiring Authors magazine. So I this is
- 38:17Speaker 1: this is this is where I do most of my
- 38:19Speaker 1: work on the computers. This is what I do. So
- 38:24Speaker 1: y'all have had a chance to actually see me at work,
- 38:27Speaker 1: to see me I'm doing a little bit of what
- 38:29Speaker 1: I do, maneuvering. This is what I do. So I
- 38:32Speaker 1: had to adjust. So I'm set up. I'm standing up
- 38:35Speaker 1: right now. I'm working on two computers and two and
- 38:37Speaker 1: two phones, y'all. That's what I'm doing, working on two
- 38:40Speaker 1: off two computers and two phones because I want to
- 38:43Speaker 1: make sure that I get this message out. I want
- 38:45Speaker 1: to make sure that we're able to truly be a
- 38:47Speaker 1: voice for those that do not have a voice. So
- 38:50Speaker 1: Cornell and Holiday is back, and we wanted them to
- 38:54Speaker 1: continue to address this issue that is currently taking place
- 38:57Speaker 1: inside of TDCJ. And that is is these individuals are
- 39:03Speaker 1: being paroled and once they are being paroled, they're just
- 39:08Speaker 1: being sick. They're they're sitting and they're waiting to be released.
- 39:13Speaker 1: So you have Holiday who's at a unit. He's completed
- 39:15Speaker 1: a program. I think he completed the program about four
- 39:18Speaker 1: days ago, and now he's waiting to go to the
- 39:23Speaker 1: unit where he's supposed to be released from. So my
- 39:26Speaker 1: thing is, and like I said before, and I stand
- 39:29Speaker 1: on this, this should be taking place in classification when
- 39:33Speaker 1: you assign them to a unit and see this is
- 39:36Speaker 1: what they do, so that they can keep moving them
- 39:38Speaker 1: around and keep putting them in different places and keep
- 39:40Speaker 1: doing this. Okay, if you know that they are gonna
- 39:43Speaker 1: be coming out at this unit and you're gonna be
- 39:45Speaker 1: moving them around, then you know that that's still their
- 39:48Speaker 1: exit unit. So you put that on as their exit unit.
- 39:51Speaker 1: So when they're ready to go to their program to
- 39:54Speaker 1: exit the TDCJ, the exit the system, then that's where
- 39:59Speaker 1: they go and that's where they work on their program.
- 40:02Speaker 1: If it's a six month program, they go there, they
- 40:04Speaker 1: do they six months, and they go home. They're already there,
- 40:07Speaker 1: so you can transition them out. That's that's that's simple, y'all.
- 40:10Speaker 1: That is that is simple. But yet you see TDCJ
- 40:14Speaker 1: makes it hard. TDCJ makes it hard. There's a there's
- 40:17Speaker 1: a prison system in Texas. I mean in Tennessee, y'all.
- 40:21Speaker 1: They found out how to do it and they are
- 40:23Speaker 1: doing it, and some more prison systems need to model
- 40:26Speaker 1: that prison system. It can be done if it wants
- 40:29Speaker 1: to be done. But it's all about a dollar. It
- 40:31Speaker 1: used to be a million dollar industry, then it turned
- 40:34Speaker 1: into a billion dollar industry. But now y'all, it's a
- 40:36Speaker 1: trillion dollar industry and it's it's being it's being funded
- 40:41Speaker 1: and off the backs of our brown people. Because if
- 40:44Speaker 1: you look at the percentage of people that are inside
- 40:46Speaker 1: these prison systems. They look like us. They look like us,
- 40:50Speaker 1: and they're getting younger and younger, y'all, they're getting younger
- 40:53Speaker 1: and younger. And with the new administration in if if
- 40:57Speaker 1: if they feel like our babies can go to work, work,
- 41:00Speaker 1: they can go hold a job, and they can work
- 41:02Speaker 1: at seven, then guess what they're gonna start doing with
- 41:05Speaker 1: these laws. These laws are gonna gonna start dropping them
- 41:09Speaker 1: down to if they feel like your baby can work
- 41:11Speaker 1: and hold a job. Because your current president, your current
- 41:14Speaker 1: administration shipping everybody off, you don't shift, He trying to
- 41:17Speaker 1: get everybody out of here, trying to get everybody out
- 41:19Speaker 1: of here so he can put your babies to work.
- 41:21Speaker 1: So put your babies to work, y'all. If you don't know,
- 41:24Speaker 1: you better wake up. Because the child labor law, where
- 41:28Speaker 1: it used to be eighteen, y'all, is no longer eighteen, y'all.
- 41:32Speaker 1: It's seven. So your babies can go to work at seven.
- 41:35Speaker 1: So guess what. You know why they messing with the
- 41:38Speaker 1: educational system. You know why they are disrupting the educational
- 41:41Speaker 1: system because now they say, well, if they don't want
- 41:43Speaker 1: to send them the school, they don't want you to
- 41:46Speaker 1: send them a school, and they know a lot of
- 41:48Speaker 1: us are not wanting to send them with the things
- 41:50Speaker 1: that they're doing, so they say, okay, they're gona homeschool.
- 41:52Speaker 1: So since they want to send them, they don't want
- 41:54Speaker 1: to send them to school, then they're gonna make them
- 41:56Speaker 1: go to work. So now you're gonna have seven and
- 41:58Speaker 1: eight year olds going to work because y'all know what
- 42:00Speaker 1: they did back in the day. A lot of our
- 42:02Speaker 1: parents and our grandparents, y'all, they had to quit school.
- 42:06Speaker 1: A lot of them only went up to the eighth grade.
- 42:08Speaker 1: A lot of them only went up to the fifth
- 42:09Speaker 1: grade because they went to work. But y'all, look at
- 42:13Speaker 1: the current administration, look at what's happening. Look what's going on,
- 42:16Speaker 1: And y'all got to get out here and be productive
- 42:19Speaker 1: in your community. Know what's going on. Take advantage of
- 42:23Speaker 1: the right to vote locally, like you need to go
- 42:28Speaker 1: and be a part of your local government, because your
- 42:31Speaker 1: local government is determined who gets into that national seat, y'all.
- 42:35Speaker 1: It all starts local, So you got to start being
- 42:39Speaker 1: a part of that vote. So coming up next year,
- 42:42Speaker 1: y'all vote, people find this. You gotta be ready to vote.
- 42:44Speaker 1: You can't wait to it the four year vote, that's
- 42:46Speaker 1: not the only one that coch this. The two year
- 42:49Speaker 1: votes are the ones that really matter because it's your local,
- 42:53Speaker 1: your local. So y'all get on it and be a
- 42:55Speaker 1: part of your business. Get on your business and be
- 42:58Speaker 1: a part of your community. Y'all, we matter, our voice matter,
- 43:01Speaker 1: and we need to be heard. So we can't keep
- 43:04Speaker 1: sitting and just watching because nobody has your best interest.
- 43:07Speaker 1: You got to have your own best interests, So get
- 43:10Speaker 1: up and do something. So, y'all, what what do y'all
- 43:14Speaker 1: want to leave with the people before we close this
- 43:17Speaker 1: call lot today? What what do y'all want the people
- 43:19Speaker 1: to know? How? How would you like for someone to
- 43:22Speaker 1: help mister Holiday.
- 43:29Speaker 3: I want this. I want to help me be a
- 43:36Speaker 3: pace in the hospital for these people, these people. Where
- 43:51Speaker 3: are you paying our baby? We need somebody to step up.
- 43:57Speaker 3: That's all the way something gonna get done, and I
- 44:00Speaker 3: will be still sitting here. We got those that sitting there.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Let me in trouble once trying to go home to
- 44:04Speaker 3: your little want or ain't nobody saying nothing.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Right? But sheett want to say something to Channette.
- 44:17Speaker 5: I want you to okay, I want to address you,
- 44:21Speaker 5: said you're gonna be transferred.
- 44:23Speaker 3: But I just looked it up on their ways, right,
- 44:28Speaker 3: is that if they transfer you.
- 44:33Speaker 5: Another unit, that's gonna say that's gonna be it's gonna
- 44:38Speaker 5: take them over to get you out of there. It's
- 44:42Speaker 5: gonna change your parole day. I'm looking at that.
- 44:47Speaker 3: Right now, that they transferred me to another un it's
- 44:52Speaker 3: gonna change my parole day.
- 44:53Speaker 1: She just she said, she said, she just looked up
- 44:57Speaker 1: on the computer and she said, if they transfer you,
- 45:01Speaker 1: it's going to change your parole date. So are you
- 45:05Speaker 1: really wanting people to reach out about transferring? Are you
- 45:08Speaker 1: just wanting people to reach out about getting you home?
- 45:11Speaker 1: Because if they transfer you shouldnet said that it's going
- 45:13Speaker 1: to change your parole day, and you might want to
- 45:15Speaker 1: you you might want to check on that before we
- 45:18Speaker 1: start telling people to ask for your transfer, because if
- 45:21Speaker 1: it's gonna affect your parole date, I'm sure you don't
- 45:24Speaker 1: want that, so you might want to check on that first.
- 45:28Speaker 3: No, that's what I want, Okay, that's what I want
- 45:33Speaker 3: to release.
- 45:36Speaker 1: So continue. I mean, we're we're doing what we can
- 45:38Speaker 1: to make these people do what they're supposed to do
- 45:40Speaker 1: over there at that facility. Go a hand your NA,
- 45:50Speaker 1: go hands your na.
- 45:52Speaker 3: You know I want, but.
- 46:02Speaker 5: We have to have the support of your loved ones
- 46:08Speaker 5: standing with.
- 46:10Speaker 3: Us as so much.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Your loved ones need.
- 46:17Speaker 3: To stand along with us to show support.
- 46:22Speaker 5: That they gonna be there to you know, like in California,
- 46:27Speaker 5: we had to send in letters to say that we
- 46:31Speaker 5: was gonna if my cousin needed support or needed someone
- 46:36Speaker 5: to talk to, that we're gonna be there for them.
- 46:40Speaker 5: So we need the support of you guys' family to
- 46:45Speaker 5: stand with us. Our voice can only go so far,
- 46:49Speaker 5: but if we had everybody speaking on you guys, behalve,
- 46:54Speaker 5: it'd be better, and especially if it's coming.
- 46:57Speaker 1: From a loved one, right, So we need family members
- 47:02Speaker 1: to get involved as well. We need family members to
- 47:05Speaker 1: get involved. If your family members can want want to
- 47:07Speaker 1: contact us and we can work out a plan of action,
- 47:11Speaker 1: that that's fine. But family needs to get involved because
- 47:14Speaker 1: they need to see that the family is supportant, that
- 47:17Speaker 1: they have family support so that they can they can
- 47:21Speaker 1: move forward. They want to see the family support.
- 47:25Speaker 3: I ain't got no problem with that at our way
- 47:27Speaker 3: will contact.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Y'all at any time, okay, by family.
- 47:31Speaker 3: I won't have my family contact y'all.
- 47:33Speaker 1: To date.
- 47:35Speaker 3: On the first thing in the morning, will call y'all
- 47:39Speaker 3: and where y'all can talk and they appreciate what's going
- 47:41Speaker 3: on around the system here, not gainst meet everybody in.
- 47:46Speaker 3: They got a little walk because it's going to be
- 47:47Speaker 3: stressful to all of us. So we're gonna connect y'all today.
- 47:55Speaker 2: But I know that because my.
- 47:58Speaker 5: Husband wrongfully for it's gonna be sixteen years in July.
- 48:07Speaker 2: And he's fighting his system.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Right, I'm the only one that's.
- 48:13Speaker 3: Using my voice to stand cause.
- 48:16Speaker 5: And I'm gonna continuously do that, right, and I put
- 48:23Speaker 5: it out due to family members all the time. Don't
- 48:26Speaker 5: forget about your loved ones that's behind the wall, regardless
- 48:32Speaker 5: of what they do, regardless of what they do. Tell
- 48:39Speaker 5: of these shenanigans, what if they aren't there using drugs. No, yeah,
- 48:43Speaker 5: we're gonna we're gonna put a cap on that. We're
- 48:45Speaker 5: gonna just stop. We're gonna cut that right there, no
- 48:48Speaker 5: money going in. We're gonna stop that right now. But
- 48:54Speaker 5: sending them pictures and.
- 48:56Speaker 2: Cards and loves and let them know that we're there. Yes,
- 49:02Speaker 2: I support that. I hear in my husband's voice.
- 49:07Speaker 5: When he's having a bad day, when he'd be like,
- 49:11Speaker 5: I don't know if I could do, but you.
- 49:13Speaker 3: Better down all this time. You can do it right.
- 49:22Speaker 3: So I know it's got striple mixed holiday, But where
- 49:30Speaker 3: is your faith? Where is your faith?
- 49:35Speaker 2: That you got the hold on to our faith?
- 49:37Speaker 5: That's all we got into our faith and tell till
- 49:41Speaker 5: somebody finally hear our voice. They tell them representatives finally
- 49:45Speaker 5: saying okay, you guys, come on down here to the
- 49:48Speaker 5: to the floor and talk to us about what's going
- 49:51Speaker 5: on in ex prison system.
- 49:56Speaker 1: Right, got the hold on to our faith. That's it.
- 50:01Speaker 1: We can't we gotta hold on and a lot of
- 50:03Speaker 1: them they have been wrongfully overly incarcerated, and you know,
- 50:07Speaker 1: it's getting frustrated, it's getting hard, it's getting hard, and
- 50:12Speaker 1: it seemed like it's getting worse and worse instead of
- 50:15Speaker 1: it getting better. You would think that systems would get
- 50:18Speaker 1: better over time, especially when you are acknowledging and addressing
- 50:22Speaker 1: these things. You know, it's not like we don't know
- 50:25Speaker 1: what's going on. We are bringing it to life. We
- 50:28Speaker 1: have been bringing it to life. I don't know what
- 50:30Speaker 1: was going on before I stepped into the picture, but
- 50:33Speaker 1: for the last three and a half years, I know
- 50:34Speaker 1: what I've been doing. I know who I've been writing,
- 50:37Speaker 1: I know who I've been staying before, and I know
- 50:39Speaker 1: the changes that I have been seeing. I will not quit.
- 50:43Speaker 1: I won't give up. I won't turn away because I
- 50:45Speaker 1: see what is happening, you know, if it don't always
- 50:48Speaker 1: happen in our time and when we want it to happen.
- 50:51Speaker 1: But they're moving, you know. And I can say that
- 50:53Speaker 1: they're moving because as much as I complained and much
- 50:56Speaker 1: as I did did a lot of stuff, they were
- 50:59Speaker 1: slow about doing stuff Over at the mcconnley unit, at
- 51:03Speaker 1: the Conley unit at Bido, and a lot of the
- 51:06Speaker 1: other units that I have been working with, they have
- 51:09Speaker 1: been slow about doing stuff. But these people realize now
- 51:12Speaker 1: that I'm not playing, that I'm not gonna back down,
- 51:15Speaker 1: that I'm not gonna stop, that I'm gonna continue, and
- 51:17Speaker 1: that I am going to allow these people to have
- 51:19Speaker 1: a voice. I do blogs, I run magazine, ass I
- 51:23Speaker 1: put this stuff out here. So if you don't want
- 51:25Speaker 1: the truth to come forth, don't let them come in
- 51:28Speaker 1: my past, because if they come in my past, I'm
- 51:30Speaker 1: gonna put it out here in emails, I'm gonna put
- 51:32Speaker 1: it out here in the magazine. I'm gonna put it
- 51:34Speaker 1: out here in this podcast. I'm gonna put it out
- 51:36Speaker 1: here because the people need to know. The people need
- 51:38Speaker 1: to know how their dollars are being spent, just like
- 51:41Speaker 1: over there in San Antonio. Over there, what is that
- 51:44Speaker 1: no San Antonio food truck. Food Bank was donating food
- 51:49Speaker 1: to I think it was the mcconnay unit, one of
- 51:52Speaker 1: those units over there, And there was an issue where
- 51:55Speaker 1: all of the guards and the inmates that we're working
- 51:58Speaker 1: in the kitchen, we're getting privy to the food. They
- 52:02Speaker 1: was getting privileged. They was some of the inmates were
- 52:04Speaker 1: taking foods home. They was taking the food home and
- 52:06Speaker 1: not giving it to the inmates, and they was giving
- 52:08Speaker 1: the inmates the stuff that was going bad and the
- 52:12Speaker 1: stuff that they had gone pick over. And that was
- 52:14Speaker 1: not what the food bank had said. So I contacted
- 52:19Speaker 1: the food bank and I asked, you know, what was
- 52:21Speaker 1: their policy and perduser with that and I explained to
- 52:23Speaker 1: them and I told them, See, people don't want you
- 52:25Speaker 1: to start talking about the stakeholders. They don't want you
- 52:27Speaker 1: to talk about the constituents. They don't want you to
- 52:29Speaker 1: talk about the people that they are supposed to be serving.
- 52:33Speaker 1: And when you start mentioning those names, they get to moving,
- 52:35Speaker 1: they get to talking about action, and that's what you
- 52:38Speaker 1: gotta do. You gotta let these people know that you
- 52:40Speaker 1: are not playing with them, and if they don't want
- 52:43Speaker 1: to do their job, they can be replaced because we vote,
- 52:47Speaker 1: we vote, and we get these people out of there
- 52:50Speaker 1: if they're not doing their jobs. So now all you
- 52:53Speaker 1: gotta do is go and write somebody. You got a
- 52:57Speaker 1: loved one, write them about what's going on here, what's
- 53:00Speaker 1: going on in the state of Texas. It don't take
- 53:02Speaker 1: a whole lot, take take five minutes, ten minutes, and
- 53:05Speaker 1: just write a letter. Let people know what is going on,
- 53:11Speaker 1: because we can talk until we blue in the face,
- 53:13Speaker 1: and I can keep doing and we gonna keep It's
- 53:14Speaker 1: the same thing. I mean, if you follow me and
- 53:17Speaker 1: you come on these platforms and you hear you probably saying, oh,
- 53:21Speaker 1: y'all are saying the same thing over and over, it
- 53:23Speaker 1: sounds like a repeated record, and it's gonna continue to
- 53:26Speaker 1: sound like that until you do something about it. So
- 53:29Speaker 1: my question to the people people are Texas, what are
- 53:33Speaker 1: you doing to help with the reform the parole and
- 53:39Speaker 1: the judicial system. And everything that is going on in
- 53:42Speaker 1: the state of Texas that is affecting your people. What
- 53:46Speaker 1: are y'all doing? Are y'all getting up and voting? I
- 53:50Speaker 1: can't say y'all even voting because there's precincts that that
- 53:54Speaker 1: only having six and ten percent turn out. How when
- 53:58Speaker 1: you are you have a population of thirty and forty
- 54:01Speaker 1: thousand high is only six percent turning out? That means
- 54:05Speaker 1: ain't nobody going to vote. So if you're not voting,
- 54:08Speaker 1: then you were a part of the thirty six percent
- 54:11Speaker 1: that did not vote. And Donald Trump only won by
- 54:14Speaker 1: thirty one percent of the votes, So more did not
- 54:18Speaker 1: vote than allowed this man to win. So you right now,
- 54:24Speaker 1: and we're not he not the real He not the
- 54:26Speaker 1: real problem because this has been going on. We're not
- 54:28Speaker 1: blaming him for the prison system problem. But I just
- 54:31Speaker 1: had to throw him in about the problems. So now
- 54:33Speaker 1: what's going on now? But as far as the prison system,
- 54:36Speaker 1: this has been going on, y'all, and it was never
- 54:38Speaker 1: designed for us. If you go back and you understand
- 54:40Speaker 1: why the prison system was set up, then you know
- 54:43Speaker 1: it was not designed for us. And what it was
- 54:45Speaker 1: designed for was designed to keep slaves in prison. If
- 54:48Speaker 1: they ran away. So guess what now, sure what they're doing? Okay,
- 54:57Speaker 1: whatever it.
- 54:57Speaker 3: Is, you are absolutely that they have now printed us
- 55:03Speaker 3: out to the Management Training Corporation, which is a private facilities. Okay,
- 55:09Speaker 3: and now these people are getting the check off of us.
- 55:12Speaker 3: The parole board is flooding. The Parole Board is flooding
- 55:16Speaker 3: the Management Training Corporation, which is an AA management program
- 55:20Speaker 3: or Alcoholic anous program with FIP six inmates thousands of files,
- 55:26Speaker 3: six inmates a day are getting six parole programs. But
- 55:31Speaker 3: these people are holding these people constantly up to eighteen
- 55:35Speaker 3: nineteen to two years after being approved for the borough
- 55:39Speaker 3: in this Management Training Corporation. So now my question now
- 55:43Speaker 3: is to ask anybody who's in the state of Texas
- 55:47Speaker 3: to contact the director of the Training Management Corporation and
- 55:51Speaker 3: find out why it is that the themIn S Felty
- 55:55Speaker 3: unit who is housing OP six inmates to still being
- 55:58Speaker 3: housed in prison.
- 56:05Speaker 1: You know why, y'all asking why? We ain't got to
- 56:08Speaker 1: ask why we know why? Because they getting paid in
- 56:12Speaker 1: every bed that's feeled, they getting paid for that bad
- 56:14Speaker 1: so when the bed is empty, they're not getting paid.
- 56:17Speaker 1: So they're trying to make sure that you said, some
- 56:20Speaker 1: people went out, So they got to make sure they
- 56:22Speaker 1: got people to feel those beds before they let any more.
- 56:24Speaker 1: So they not letting none of y'all go no more.
- 56:26Speaker 1: They're not letting nobody else go until they got people
- 56:28Speaker 1: that's coming in to fill up those beds. That's what
- 56:30Speaker 1: they're doing. You want to know, follow the paper trail.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Can telling me y'all follow the paper trail.
- 56:34Speaker 3: It's not.
- 56:35Speaker 1: It's not rocket science. It is not rocket science. We
- 56:39Speaker 1: making it seem like it's so hard day. That's how
- 56:44Speaker 1: these people get paid. Cornell. You got to have a rochester.
- 56:47Speaker 1: You got to have a roster. You got to be
- 56:49Speaker 1: able to track it because when they get ready to
- 56:51Speaker 1: file their income tax, when they get ready to fire
- 56:54Speaker 1: anybody that do taxes, anybody that do records, anybody that
- 56:57Speaker 1: know no, you got to be accountable. So they got
- 56:59Speaker 1: to have their records. So they got to have your
- 57:01Speaker 1: sign in sheets. I know that because I worked for
- 57:03Speaker 1: a food service program, and you know what they said.
- 57:07Speaker 1: They said anybody under eighteen could eat at these places.
- 57:12Speaker 1: So it was up to us as the facility coordinators
- 57:15Speaker 1: and stuff to track who came through the program. So
- 57:18Speaker 1: we had to literally check out everybody that came through there.
- 57:21Speaker 1: So people got to keep up with this, They got
- 57:23Speaker 1: to keep up with the records. That's what's going on.
- 57:25Speaker 1: That's why y'all gotta sign in, and it's got to
- 57:27Speaker 1: be in your signature, it's got to be in your name,
- 57:29Speaker 1: so they want to make sure that it's actually somebody
- 57:32Speaker 1: and it's not being forged. So that's why they have
- 57:34Speaker 1: y'all sign in because these people are getting paid. They're
- 57:36Speaker 1: getting paid for every signature on that paper, for every
- 57:39Speaker 1: day that you go there. So know that ain't nothing new.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Don't take it. Don't take a rocket scientist to figure
- 57:45Speaker 1: it out. It's all about the money when you operating
- 57:49Speaker 1: a trillion dollar industry. That is a trillion dollar industry.
- 57:52Speaker 1: And not to mention the underhanded stuff that's going on.
- 57:54Speaker 1: We talk about the drugs that flow through the prison system.
- 57:57Speaker 1: We all know what happened down in Texas and how
- 57:59Speaker 1: that warden was running drugs through that prison system. They
- 58:02Speaker 1: do it all the time. They doing it all the
- 58:05Speaker 1: time because these inmates do not get to go out
- 58:07Speaker 1: and stand on the corner and solicit to drugs. So
- 58:10Speaker 1: how is it getting in there? These contractors and these
- 58:13Speaker 1: correction officers. It just point blank and simple. When they
- 58:17Speaker 1: deal with that, then they can address that issue. They
- 58:20Speaker 1: don't want to deal with it because they know that
- 58:21Speaker 1: that's how these people are making money. They don't want
- 58:23Speaker 1: to pay They don't want to pay the correction officers
- 58:26Speaker 1: what they should be paid. So this is how these
- 58:27Speaker 1: people make money. You talk about we talk about these
- 58:30Speaker 1: these twenty dollars phones that they go to the General
- 58:33Speaker 1: Dollar and the Family Dollar and all these stores and
- 58:36Speaker 1: pay twenty dollars from and then they will sneak them
- 58:39Speaker 1: into the jails and give them to inmates, and they
- 58:41Speaker 1: charge inmates of thousand and fifteen hundred, three thousand, five hundred.
- 58:45Speaker 1: That's how they make their money.
- 58:48Speaker 3: We know that.
- 58:50Speaker 1: We know that, and that's why they are not addressing
- 58:52Speaker 1: this issue. And why because it's affecting too many of
- 58:55Speaker 1: us black people, black and brown people. As long as
- 58:58Speaker 1: it's affecting the black and brown people, they do not care.
- 59:01Speaker 1: And loans is affecting us in a negative way. So now,
- 59:04Speaker 1: what are we as black and brown people, What are
- 59:06Speaker 1: we doing? What are we doing to address the issues
- 59:09Speaker 1: within the prison system. I hear a lot of these
- 59:11Speaker 1: podcasts I'm one of them. But what are we doing?
- 59:14Speaker 1: Are we contacting these people? Are we contacting the representatives?
- 59:17Speaker 1: Are we making a stand? I've pretty much made my
- 59:20Speaker 1: stand and going forth with it, so Texas you'll see me.
- 59:27Speaker 3: Well, yes, ma'am, thank you pretty much. Man for all
- 59:29Speaker 3: the y'all do is advocating on our behalf. Because I
- 59:31Speaker 3: have been here with y'all and I have seen the work,
- 59:34Speaker 3: the job done. I've seen Plock questioning the work the
- 59:37Speaker 3: job done. Being a boyce, you are mission that Johnson
- 59:39Speaker 3: of let's talk about it. I'm a co host and
- 59:42Speaker 3: I can tell you y'all are very passionate about what
- 59:44Speaker 3: y'all do, and we'll appreciate y'all and we can check
- 59:46Speaker 3: y'all for everything that y'all doing. We saw our for
- 59:50Speaker 3: ourselves here that these people did come to this, and
- 59:53Speaker 3: that's because y'all advocated for them to come to see
- 59:55Speaker 3: what the conditions are. And yes, they did come. Now
- 59:58Speaker 3: over forty of them came. We've started for ourselves and
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: they have been here for the past two or three
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: weeks constantly in the demean Gaars state there, fella unit,
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: because everything that you said you posted this in your
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: magazine as amazing. I'm a fine off to magazine. Everything
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: that you say, you do, post it in your magazine
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: so people can go read it. It's not just us
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: making this stuff up. You actually pushed the peel for
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: these people to come and they can't. So we thank
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: y'all very much man for what y'all do. So now
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: this Training Management Corporation, we're asking for the public to
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: compact the email. Whenever you have the email to tell
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: them people they need to come themselves and see what's
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: going on right here at the demean Gaar State their
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: felony facility and find out how they're going to get
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: these people out of here and get these people to
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: set their learn along to the US that they need
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: to go to and all of these people be released
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: because they got too many people in here waiting to
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: go home and they're getting frustrated and losing their air
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: fives just because they cannot be released, and that's not right.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: These people are making billions of dollars off us a
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: year and they don't want to let us go. You
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: got county jails fill up to the capacity, ma'am, waiting
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: to come to TDC, so hollering it that the public
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: is waiting to pay attaxes for people to come from
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: the county jail to TDC and TDC non beneath nobody.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: This is too much.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Want to say something that needs to be fixed.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: Just ma'am, oh her, now you just said something.
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: My little mind just gonna win blank real because I
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: was on the internet googling something. My my heart really
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: goes out to to the you guys had completed the program,
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: you know, I just looked on their their website and
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: it does it says that you cannot they cannot hold you.
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: Has your release date?
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: There's a detainer.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: And see that's the thing, shouldn't That's the thing they
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: they they completed the program, but they don't give they
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: have not given them a release date.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: That's the thing.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: They when they send them to the program, they they
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: their release date is whatever the program time is. Upon completion,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: they'll say six months. Go ahead, corn down, tell.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: Them it's upon competition. And you're absolutely right, miss, missmis Smith.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: It's upon completion now, and we have completed the program.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: But you guys are being held for five, six, seven
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: months after completion. Now they don't have to them. You're
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: absolutely right to miss to be held out.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: But what I was trying to explain, and what I
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: was trying to explain is they don't have release dates FETTE,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: so that they they that's how they get around. That's
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: that's that that's how they get to do. What they're
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: doing is because they're not putting a release date in
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: the system. They're putting it continguent to them completing the program.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: So they have to complete the program and then they'll
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: give them a release date. So we don't know when
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: they will get a release date even after they complete
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: the program. So again I go back to it should
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: be done in classification. When they come in, they should
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: know every step of their process along the process. That
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: don't care where where it is facilitated at. But the
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: process should still be the process. You can send them
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: to whatever facility you want to, but the process should
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: always be that process.
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: Now, now.
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: This is the reason why they not given after they
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: program and they're not.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Fust Yeah, that's what they want, they won't them if
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: so now they know that they completed this program, they
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: know they ready to go, they know they ready, so
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: now they it's just about and and I said that
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: from the conditions of this facility. The condition of that
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: facility was to break these people. Instead of helping these
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: people transition back into the world and providing them with
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: resources to help them transition back into the world, that
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: facility over there was designed to break them because you're
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: talking about living in third world conditions. You had you
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: had one You know that when you flush it it
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: it brings stuff up out the flow, and it was
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: flooding the flow. Everything was unhumane. You making you, you
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: you given you. Putting somebody in this situation that's getting
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: ready to come back home, you're not preparing them to
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: transition to the real world. But you got facilities that
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: have big seventy two inch TVs mounted on their walls.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: But you're not showing these people how to use the
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: current electronics. Because remind you, some of these people been
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: incarcerated for twenty thirty forty years, so you've taken most
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: of most of their youth away from them. So the
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: world has evolved. You talk about technology, Technology has evolved
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: since these people been in prison. A lot of these
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: people don't know how to use no no, no cell phone.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Thank god, they know how to use tablets because they
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: start giving them tablets within the prison system. But they
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: don't know how to use cell phones, They don't know
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: how to use a lot of this technology. So why
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: are you not teaching them in the transition phase of
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: the programs how to transition and be a part of
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: the world so that they don't come back, Because that's
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: not what they want. They want you to be a
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: revolving thought. Because they figured out how they can make millions,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: They've figured out how they can make treatings. Because y'all,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: there's companies and a lot of us support these companies
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: that are making money off of these people in prison.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: McDonald's you got, and not only that, it's a whole
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: nother store and show. And then we ain't gonna get
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: into it today, but we can go over to Alabama
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: and we can talk about how these people was transporting
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: inmates to work real jobs beside real beside real workers
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: and paying them nothing. But then they were getting paid
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: as if they was workers, but they were not getting
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: the money. The actual prison was getting the money. Yeah,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: it's an actual big time lossuit in Alabama. And not
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: only that, they was letting inmates drive other inmates like
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: they was letting these people go out like they was
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: real Yeah, we have a case right down an inmate
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: was driving another inmate lost control of the car and
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: inmates got hurt. Yeah, this is what's going on, and
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: it's going on in the state of Alabama. That's happening
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: in Alabama. So questions, this is what's happening all over
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: the United States, y'all. It's not just the isolated incident
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: that's happening in Texas. Y'ad. This is happening, and why
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: is this happening to our people? This is happening to
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: our people because why they want to keep us down,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: They want to keep us in bundance. But y'all, we
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: gotta come together, we gotta stand together, and we got
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: to fight against this judicial system. So if you're in
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: the state of Texas, y'all, we're asking you to stand up,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: speak out, and to help these people that are being
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: overly incarcerated. Once they have completed these programs, transition these
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: people back into the real world so that they could
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: be productive cisms. So you're gonna have to keep footing
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: this bill because we're paying our taxpayer dollars are going
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: to the housing of these inmates. And that is one
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: of the reasons why I stay on it like that,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: because if we gotta.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: Pay for it, don't forget we're gonna talk about this.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: Let's talk about it. So remember, let's talk about it
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: and the coup podcast and a free text campaign. We're
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: gonna be what we're supposed to do and be a
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: fortunate advocate and thank y'all.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Okay, so y'all again, So you got to see firsthand
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: me and my love atmosphere and what we do. So
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: this is me behind the scenes. Really, this is how
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: I maneuver and operate and do the things that I do.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: So this is day four of our day twenty one
