- 2:19of Louisville, where he completed his medical training in nineteen

- 2:30physician realized his dream in June of nineteen seventy five
- 2:34with the opening of Frederick Medical Clinic and spent the
- 2:38next fifty years making house calls and caring for the
- 2:41people he loved. Jolene Frederick noted that doctor Frederick continues

- 4:31of doctor of Morgan County residents with integrity, consistent consistency,
- 4:38and compassion, always going above and beyond the call of
- 4:43duty for those suffering from illness or injury. Whereas doctor

- 4:54Throughout his fifty year career, his commitment extended far beyond
- 4:59clinic wall, treating generations of families not just as patients,
- 5:04but as neighbors and friends. His kindness and deep empathy
- 5:09have provided immense comfort through countless crisis and joys, creating
- 5:15a rich legacy of healing that has profound shape the
- 5:20well being of our community. We honor and thank him
- 5:24for extraordinary longevity of service and for optimizing the very
- 5:29best of small town medicine. Whereas, let it be known

- 6:22of the Frederick family in attendance. Kawanon Langley Franklin, who
- 6:29provided materials for this report, noted that doctor Frederick is

- 19:46Our next article is Christian Church to host Blue Christmas service.
- 19:52Christmas can be a painful time for some. It may
- 19:55be the first Christmas without a loved family member who
- 19:59has recently die. It may be a time that has
- 20:02always been difficult. The constant refrain on the radio and television,
- 20:07in shopping malls and churches about the happiness of the
- 20:10season getting together with family and friends reminds many people
- 20:16of what they have lost or have never had. The
- 20:20anguish of broken relationships, the insecurity of unemployment, the weariness
- 20:25of the ill health, the pain of isolation. All these
- 20:29can make us feel very alone in the midst of
- 20:32celebrating and spending. We need the space and time to
- 20:36acknowledge our sadness and concern. We need to know that
- 20:40we are not alone. Our spirits sink as the days
- 20:44grow shorter, we feel darkness growing deeper around us. We
- 20:49need encouragement to live the days ahead of us. For
- 20:53these reasons, the Broadway First Church of God, the West
- 20:57Liberty Christian Church, and the Liberty Methodist Church are joining
- 21:02together to offer a special Blue Christmas Service on Tuesday night,
- 21:06December sixteenth, at seven pm at the West Liberty Christian Church.
- 21:12Several pastors from the Morgan County Ministerial Association will be
- 21:16taking part. This will be the tenth year that the
- 21:19Blue Christmas Service has been conducted in Morgan County. Come
- 21:24out and join in the sharing and hearing prayers, scripture
- 21:28and music that acknowledge that God's presence is for those
- 21:32who mourn, for those who struggle, and that God's word
- 21:36comes to shine light into our darkness every day. Regardless
- 21:41of our church background or like thereof is welcome. The
- 21:45worship service will be followed by a time for light,
- 21:50refreshments and fellowship in the church Fellowship Hall. Our next

- 23:37December twelfth and Saturday December thirteenth. The next road games
- 23:41are scheduled for next Wednesday and Thursday, December seventeenth and eighteenth,
- 23:46versus Russell and Phillips. Our next article is Lady Cougar's
- 23:53win low scoring road game at Mcgoffin County by David Patrick.
- 23:58It's not how many points you see, it's the winning
- 24:01that counts. Such was the case last Thursday, December the
