- 0:37Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Hey, Mark, I'm doing really well. Thanks looking looking good.
- 0:42Speaker 1: We got to get the straight of her moves open.
- 0:45Speaker 1: When we do that, we're going to see gas prices
- 0:47Speaker 1: back to three dollars a gallon. So I'm feeling I'm
- 0:51Speaker 1: feeling really good about things and the world's moving in
- 0:54Speaker 1: our direction. But I gotta say this, I don't want
- 0:56Speaker 1: to bail out Spirit Airline. I don't want to a
- 0:59Speaker 1: government takeover of that airline. I think it's crazy.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Yeah, the only thing that could make an airline like
- 1:05Speaker 2: that even worse service wise, is the government.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Running it exactly. It's like going to be Amtrak in
- 1:11Speaker 1: the sky. It was. You know, have you noticed the
- 1:15Speaker 1: last fifty years they keep saying, oh, you know, profitability,
- 1:19Speaker 1: it's right around the next corner, right, Yeah, we've waited
- 1:21Speaker 1: fifty years for that. So you know, that's a bad idea.
- 1:23Speaker 1: The government should never be in the business. Mark, you
- 1:26Speaker 1: know this. The government should never be in the business
- 1:28Speaker 1: of bailing out or subsidizing industries. It never works, and
- 1:32Speaker 1: it taxpayers always get screwed.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, why isn't there a revolt about the government
- 1:39Speaker 2: overpays for anything they do by ten million percent. Every
- 1:42Speaker 2: supermarket tells me it's about two million dollars to open
- 1:46Speaker 2: a supermarket, Mom, Donnie's going to open a grocery store,
- 1:49Speaker 2: a little one for thirty million. Why do we Why
- 1:53Speaker 2: do we let them waste all this money? It's supposed
- 1:55Speaker 2: to cost two million.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Because socialists have good hearts, more embrace the socialism, don't
- 2:01Speaker 1: you understand that? Mark? I mean, and you know this
- 2:04Speaker 1: works so well in the Soviet Union. I mean, things
- 2:06Speaker 1: were so cheap. Of course, you had to wait an
- 2:08Speaker 1: hour in line to get in the store. And when
- 2:12Speaker 1: you got in the store, the shelves were empty, but boy,
- 2:15Speaker 1: everything was so affordable.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, let's talk about the FED for a moment.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Kevin Warsh rough hearing, although he handled himself very well,
- 2:23Speaker 2: is he going to be our FED chairman?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Oh? By the way, you know that Larry Cudlow and
- 2:29Speaker 1: myself and Art Laugher and Steve Forbes and you know,
- 2:33Speaker 1: all the all the supply side crowd were totally in
- 2:37Speaker 1: favor of Kevin Warsh. I think he is the most
- 2:40Speaker 1: qualified FED chairman since Alan Greenspan. He is going to
- 2:44Speaker 1: be superb in that job. I don't understand why Democrats
- 2:48Speaker 1: are paying playing politics with this. I've been in Washington,
- 2:51Speaker 1: c for forty years. It was never political. Now. Look,
- 2:54Speaker 1: Trump's a little bit been blamed here too because he
- 2:57Speaker 1: and he Andrew Paul don't get a lot so well
- 3:00Speaker 1: do they. But you know the fact is that this
- 3:04Speaker 1: guy is super qualified. He is going to make the
- 3:06Speaker 1: dollar as good as goal. He's going to preserve them.
- 3:09Speaker 1: The dollar is the world reserve currency. He's going to
- 3:12Speaker 1: restore confidence in the American economy and the American dollar.
- 3:15Speaker 1: And that's what we want, and that's what we need.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And we're going to bring inflation back down to below
- 3:19Speaker 1: two percent.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yeah, but you said, I don't undertand why they're paying pozies.
- 3:23Speaker 2: There's nobody Trump could have appointed that they wouldn't play
- 3:27Speaker 2: positive eye.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Oh that's exactly right, Mark. And this is what's so
- 3:30Speaker 1: frustrating is that here this guy super qualified, he's going
- 3:34Speaker 1: to do all the right things on the economy. He's
- 3:36Speaker 1: not good. Now. Look, Trump's put him in a little
- 3:38Speaker 1: tough position because Trump say I want to lower interest rates.
- 3:41Speaker 1: And I thought that Kevin handled that very well at
- 3:44Speaker 1: the hearing yesterday. He said, no, I'm going to make
- 3:46Speaker 1: my own decisions. Trump has never, you know, commanded me
- 3:49Speaker 1: to lower rates. I mean, everybody knows that's what he wants.
- 3:52Speaker 1: But I do believe that Kevin will be independent, and
- 3:56Speaker 1: I think he's he's absolutely the perfect choice. And by
- 3:59Speaker 1: the way, he's qualify vacations are amazing, and there's nobody
- 4:02Speaker 1: that's been more qualified than him. And it just shows
- 4:04Speaker 1: everything is political. I just want to make sure people
- 4:07Speaker 1: understand this doesn't have this dispute has nothing to do
- 4:11Speaker 1: with Kevin worsh It's just the Democrats hate Trump and
- 4:14Speaker 1: their post to anything he wants to do even if
- 4:16Speaker 1: it's an America's interest, and it is America's interest to
- 4:19Speaker 1: get Kevin Warsh in there and to get Jerome Powell out.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Jerome Poull has been the most political fed chair ever
- 4:26Speaker 1: ever because he hates Trump so much.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we hope it's Kevin worsh Hey. Yesterday the
- 4:34Speaker 2: test he had to testify in front of Congress Scott
- 4:37Speaker 2: Vessant and these they're yelling at him about tax breaks
- 4:40Speaker 2: for the rich, and why are you giving all this
- 4:41Speaker 2: month the rich tax cuts for the rich? This is
- 4:44Speaker 2: one of the greatest myths of all time, isn't it.
- 4:47Speaker 1: It sure is. I mean, even the Washington Post, by
- 4:50Speaker 1: the way, you know, the Washington Post editorial board, which
- 4:52Speaker 1: you know, was the most liberal you know, editorial board
- 4:56Speaker 1: in the country just ten years ago. Even they had
- 4:59Speaker 1: a big editorial saying, it's a myth that, you know,
- 5:03Speaker 1: the rich don't pay their fair share. The top one
- 5:05Speaker 1: percent pay forty percent of the income tax, you know,
- 5:08Speaker 1: almost a record high. And by the way, the middle
- 5:11Speaker 1: class got a two thousand dollars to twenty five hundred
- 5:15Speaker 1: dollars tax cut in twenty twenty six. So the Democrats.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You know, if they had had their way, people would
- 5:22Speaker 1: be paying twenty five hundred dollars more in taxes this year.
- 5:24Speaker 1: How's that going to make things more affordable?
- 5:27Speaker 2: Hey, just go over that again, because if you actually
- 5:30Speaker 2: look at the facts, the rich don't pay their fair share.
- 5:32Speaker 2: They're paying way beyond their fair share. Say that again.
- 5:34Speaker 2: The top one percent pay what.
- 5:37Speaker 1: The top one out of one hundred Americans pay almost
- 5:41Speaker 1: forty percent of the entire income tax. The top ten
- 5:44Speaker 1: percent pay like eighty percent of the income tax. So
- 5:47Speaker 1: the what the Washington you know, you know, I've been
- 5:49Speaker 1: saying this for years and decades, but now we're in
- 5:51Speaker 1: the Washington Post is saying it. We have one of
- 5:53Speaker 1: the most progressive tax systems in the country. In fact,
- 5:56Speaker 1: you know, we would be much better off if we
- 5:59Speaker 1: just had a flat tax. Everybody pays say sixteen, seventeen,
- 6:02Speaker 1: eighteen percent. You get a deduction for you and your children,
- 6:06Speaker 1: and you don't get all these other craft deductions and
- 6:08Speaker 1: loopholes that oftentimes the rich take advantage of and make
- 6:11Speaker 1: it really simple. I mean, you know, Steve Forbes, I
- 6:14Speaker 1: know you have him on your show a lot. He's
- 6:16Speaker 1: the he's the godfather of this idea, you know, think
- 6:20Speaker 1: of We wouldn't have to have a massive IRS. We
- 6:22Speaker 1: wouldn't have to have you know, thousands and thousands of
- 6:25Speaker 1: you know, IRS agents. We wouldn't have to have tax accountants.
- 6:28Speaker 1: It would be so simple. You could do it in
- 6:30Speaker 1: five minutes and you know, at your bedtimetable.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I know. But Democrats would be up in arms. He's
- 6:35Speaker 2: trying to get rid of the IRS. He's trying to
- 6:36Speaker 2: get rid of our agents. Exactly, Hey, what do we
- 6:41Speaker 2: Steve Moore, what are we going to do about this? Jerrymangering?
- 6:44Speaker 1: Oh my god, this is such a disgrace. And by
- 6:48Speaker 1: the way, both sides are responsible for this. I'm not
- 6:51Speaker 1: going to play in one part of you or the other.
- 6:53Speaker 2: They're both.
- 6:54Speaker 1: And this is politicians basically using the rules to keep
- 6:58Speaker 1: themselves in office. That's what's going on here, and it
- 7:01Speaker 1: is outrageous. You know, Democrats love to rail about dangerous
- 7:04Speaker 1: democracy and we need representative government and we can't can't
- 7:08Speaker 1: dissi franchise voters. That's exactly what this does. Now, what
- 7:12Speaker 1: happened in Virginia is probably the most obscene version of this,
- 7:17Speaker 1: where a state that is you know, I live in Virginia.
- 7:20Speaker 1: So we're fifty three percent Democrats roughly and rough forty
- 7:23Speaker 1: six and a half percent Republican something like that. Not
- 7:26Speaker 1: not exactly, but that's pretty close. But under the jurymans
- 7:30Speaker 1: leven seas kind of them, we'll go to Democrats and
- 7:32Speaker 1: will go to Republicans, so they get ninety percent of
- 7:35Speaker 1: the states even though they're only fifty three percent of
- 7:38Speaker 1: the population.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Well, but what we can do about this? I guess
- 7:41Speaker 2: Republicans can do it back to them, But that's not
- 7:43Speaker 2: really the answer. Shouldn't there be all that the district
- 7:46Speaker 2: has to be?
- 7:47Speaker 1: Because yeah, so look what we need to do is
- 7:51Speaker 1: just have I don't know how you implement this, but
- 7:54Speaker 1: in Iowa, Iowa just has the computers do it. I mean,
- 7:57Speaker 1: this is twenty twenty six. The computers can do very
- 8:00Speaker 1: compact districts and take politics out of it. You know,
- 8:03Speaker 1: you basically say you put as many people in the
- 8:06Speaker 1: district as you can that's within the kind of perimeter
- 8:08Speaker 1: of the district, so you don't have these these lines
- 8:11Speaker 1: that look like snakes going through the uh through the district.
- 8:15Speaker 2: You know.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I'm from Illinois. They have one district that goes all
- 8:17Speaker 1: the way from Chicago down to the border of like Arkansas.
- 8:21Speaker 1: It's like it's like two hundred and eighty miles away.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I mean, those are just outrageous jurymanders. And I just
- 8:29Speaker 1: have a computers pick that, you know, set the perimeters
- 8:32Speaker 1: of each district. You take politics out of it. You
- 8:34Speaker 1: have people voting with your neighbors. I mean, we had
- 8:37Speaker 1: something in the hotline today, I kind of you get
- 8:39Speaker 1: the outline by the way, folks, if you don't get it,
- 8:41Speaker 1: go to Uley's prosperity dot com and sign up for
- 8:44Speaker 1: for free. But it was just a cartoon and it's
- 8:46Speaker 1: you know, the way this apartment building and the one
- 8:50Speaker 1: person says to the person across the aisle, you know
- 8:54Speaker 1: the hall, Oh they just jurymannered. You're in one district.
- 8:59Speaker 1: That's how crazy it's gotten.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's my new fake ma.
- 9:03Speaker 1: You know. In democracy, you know, we're supposed to have
- 9:06Speaker 1: the voters choose the politicians, right, we vote for the politicians.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Now what happens to the politicians choose their voters.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that's my new fake name if I ever need that,
- 9:17Speaker 2: If I ever need a fake name, it's jerry manders.
