- 0:03SPEAKER_01: I d real quick text here.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: Back to the Alpha One thing that I was telling you, Tiffany has an alpha one deficiency.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: No, it doesn't mean she's just the uh numero Uno in the house.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: No, that would be an alpha one efficiency.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: She has the deficiency.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Alpha deficiency.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Well, this is cool.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: So Natalie, of course, Natalie knows somebody with one because Natalie is connected to everything we talked about.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: You'd think we planned the show with her.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: You know.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: But we should consider it.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: My bestie has an alpha one.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: Well, if she takes those stupid tickets for this weekend, we could figure something out.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Uh anyway, my bestie has the alpha one and spent her younger years uh smoking them Marlboro lights and now lives on oxygen.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: Now it's funny you mention this.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Smoking them Marlboro lights.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: So Tiffany texted this because you were wondering a little bit more about what it is.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: You need the protein.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: This is where the blood doesn't produce the protein you need.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: You need the protein in the blood to protect your lungs.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: If you don't have it, you can get sick, which is why a lot of times she gets run down.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: And actually, she is going to be doing infusions for the rest of her life to add protein.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: It's like a weekly thing.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: You'd think they'd figure out how to do it, where it's like, well, this will last a month, but she's gonna have to start doing it.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Is that covered by insurance?
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Oh, for God's sake, I hope so.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: So awesome, but it kind of I've had infusions done before, not because I have an alpha one deficiency.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: No, because you were hammered and hung over.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just kidding.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: I was uh I remember I was sick and I was about to do the Mammoth March.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: And uh which the Mammoth March is it's a 20-mile um thing through Letchworth.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: It's a 20-mile hike.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Anyway, uh it's awesome.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: You went to the girls we know, right?
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: That do the IVs.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: And Allison Aesthetics does them too.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: Oh, nice.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: But and that's awesome.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, and I had one done there not that long ago.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: I think when I came back from Vegas.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Kind of a smart move.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Sometimes when you're getting run down, it can't hurt.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: But yeah, she's gonna have to move to that.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Now, uh great that these places do it, but oh my gosh, you're sit you're sitting there for like an hour.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Every single week you have to take time to sit there for an hour?
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: I think it's a little quicker for her, and I think they'll do it at the hospital or or her where or her building, whatever.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, she works in the field, so while she's at work, she's just is walking around with a like that would be actually a great way to just kill, you know, just do your job and be connected to the IV.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: I should rather she can work that out.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Ask her if she's able to.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Are you supposed to be sitting and and like having I'm always relaxed when I'm doing it.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: So I don't know.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: I don't know the answer to that.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: I mean, can I type on a keyboard and take an infusion?
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: I mean, let's be efficient here.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: I would think so, but I don't know.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: I'm not sure if that's really the way you're supposed to do it.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: That's funny.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Anyway, you were also asking about the kids going back to school and who's feeling sick.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Can I can I bring up another thing that they need to bring to schools?
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: And it's a really great thing.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Growing up, we always had grandparents' day at school.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: And my grandparents, well, usually just my grandmother, because my grandfather was, you know, hoeing it up with the other family.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: So um I'm so glad he's he invested that time over there.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: No, I'm kidding.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: But my grandmother would always come and like eat lunch with us and then Oh, we never had grandparents' day when I went to school.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: And and neither does Gavin or Lydia.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's awesome.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: I loved it.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: But let me throw one out there for you.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: So I'm not a grandparent, not a parent.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: But I'm either cool aunt, I sure am.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Official aunt or like Aunt Allie to Gavin and Lydia.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: That's the aunt or the official aunt.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: No, no, I'm not officially an aunt.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: No, nowhere, nowhere.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: And then but then we also have nowhere.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: We also have our friends Danielle and TJ.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: I am an unofficial aunt to Madison.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: I am the unofficial aunt to a lot of kids.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, sure.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Why don't they have a take your aunt to school day?
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: I want to go.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: How many day you know, what's next?
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Take your dog, take your kitten, take it.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: I hate it here.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Well, I I oh, as far as bringing the uh bring your dog to work, I get that.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: Well, back to the back to the school thing.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: You you always got like this week you said that there's a dolly dress up day.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, Friday for Lydia.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: So why not have an aunt or uncle come to lunch and hang out with the kids?
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: Okay, if it's just lunch, fine.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: So you're just fine just lunch.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: You're saying nothing.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: Because I'm thinking about it.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: My aunt, so Auntie was the cool Auntie was super cool.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: We just lost Auntie a few months back, remember?
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: I know, it's sad.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Auntie would have done it one time.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: She would have done it one time, possibly.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: I want to do it.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: You want to do it more than once?
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: Or are you gonna I mean is this gonna be an annual thing?
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: I would have to do it for Gavin and Lydia and Madison, because she's just starting preschool.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: So I yes.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: No, I'm I'm just taking this in.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: I'm also thinking, that's three school lunches that I would get.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Three few.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: If you break them up right, you might get a fiesta pizza, some chicken nuggets, and pancakes.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, pancakes for lunch.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I had that yesterday.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Yum sign me up.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: Is that not a great idea, guys?
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: The only thing is, I feel usually with grandparents, they're so wholesome.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: There must be some sort of vetting process to make sure that they're like your janky uncle isn't the one showing up.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Well, that's why they don't have uncle's day.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: They have aunt's day.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: You're still, you know.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: But you don't want the uncle that's like just sold meth.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: Like the guy we saw in the soccer field, uh, Brian, uh, who was one of the other soccer dads.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: I'll never forget this as long as I live.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: This would be the uncle that would show up.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: It was a hot fall day, right?
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: So, you know, one of those days where it's like 80 degrees still, and he's at a game, and this is right on 352.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: This guy had a Hawaiian shirt on, totally unbuttoned, big beer belly sticking out.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's an uncle.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: Smoking a Marlboro.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: Brian looks at me and he goes, That guy's seen some things.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I'm like, that is the best line I've ever heard.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: That's the fun uncle.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: The uncle you don't want is the one who's wearing the A-frame.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: That dude was taking taking beers out of the trunk.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: I don't know what if he knew what he was doing.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: Funkle.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: The one you don't want is the one in the A-frame t-shirt that's got stains and pock marks also missing, probably all teeth but one.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: That's the uncle you don't want.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Okay, so now you want to vet this.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: I think you have to.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: I don't know how.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: Because if you're gonna vet the men, you get the boy, the uncles, the funkles.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: The funkels, you've got to vet the ants too, because you know there's one that has that woolly sweater that smells just like a Marlboro and also has cat hair all over it and kind of a kind of an uh uh American Indian design on that uh sweater, wearing a pair of denim pants with that fupa.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Woo! Yes, bring me lunch gants.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: But she's the fun ant.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: Oh, she's and that's the ant that you want.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: You know what she teaches you how to do?
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: Roll a cigarette?
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes, roll a cigarette, yes.
