- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Heidi Ho, NewsRadio 570, Dodie Kubien and Ron Verm. Welcome,
- 0:03Speaker 1: 306 here on a Wednesday afternoon. How about this, man?
- 0:08Speaker 1: It's getting awful dry out there, wasn't it? So it's
- 0:12Speaker 1: another overcast, rainy day. And been that way most of
- 0:17Speaker 1: the day today. And so more rain in my neck
- 0:20Speaker 1: of the woods as I sit here on Tiffany Boulevard
- 0:23Speaker 1: in Boardman on a overcast, rainy day on this Wednesday,
- 0:26Speaker 1: May 20th. Sunshine to you, though, no matter what the weather.
- 0:29Speaker 1: All right. It's chilly out there, too, 55 degrees this
- 0:32Speaker 1: afternoon from NewsRadio 570. Well, let me sit down and
- 0:37Speaker 1: see what awaits me here on today's broadcast. You're on
- 0:40Speaker 1: the air.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Hi, Ron.
- 0:42Speaker 3: How are you today?
- 0:43Speaker 4: J.J.
- 0:44Speaker 1: The Liberal.
- 0:44Speaker 5: Fine.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Go ahead, please.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Did you see his introduction to Trump Rx last night?
- 0:53Speaker 3: But he's starting where you get cheaper prescriptions, and I
- 0:59Speaker 3: guess he's implementing something where on certain prescriptions you're going
- 1:05Speaker 3: to get some discounts. And I don't know if you
- 1:07Speaker 3: saw that last night.
- 1:08Speaker 1: No, I did not. I was more interested in watching.
- 1:11Speaker 1: The only thing that I was really interested in was
- 1:14Speaker 1: the outcome in Kentucky with Massey. And I'm one of
- 1:19Speaker 1: those people, I think it's definitely sad that he lost re-election.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I think what you saw last night, that's what I
- 1:25Speaker 1: was most interested in because I agreed with Tom Massey
- 1:28Speaker 1: on so many things. But basically, I agreed with Tom
- 1:31Speaker 1: Massey on the Epstein files. I agreed with him as
- 1:34Speaker 1: far as the war in Iran is concerned. And I
- 1:37Speaker 1: also agreed with him on foreign aid and eliminating foreign aid.
- 1:42Speaker 1: And he was eliminated. with $ 10 million that's outside money
- 1:50Speaker 1: just coming from Israel to defeat Thomas Massey. So the
- 1:55Speaker 1: people that are opposed to the influence of all this
- 1:59Speaker 1: foreign aid money, the Marjorie Taylor Greene's, the Tommy Massey
- 2:04Speaker 1: and these people are all being eliminated. So everybody else
- 2:07Speaker 1: will be on the hook who takes huge donations from
- 2:10Speaker 1: from these lobbyists and will sell their soul, not necessarily
- 2:14Speaker 1: in the best interest of the country, in my opinion.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I agree.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Again, I think I can be reasonable, not because Thomas
- 2:24Speaker 3: Massey so much was disagreeing with Trump, but he was
- 2:27Speaker 3: still holding his position as far as a lot of
- 2:31Speaker 3: the things you just suggested, which I agree with also.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I believe that we should keep the money at home
- 2:36Speaker 3: when you're in a position that you can't help out
- 2:40Speaker 3: other people from other countries based on only certain circumstances.
- 2:44Speaker 3: I think that we are, as a country that leads
- 2:48Speaker 3: the way, we should be able to assist a little bit.
- 2:51Speaker 3: But in the way that things are going right now,
- 2:54Speaker 3: that we need to keep things at home, I agree
- 2:57Speaker 3: with the Epstein files and keeping that open because, again,
- 3:00Speaker 3: it was certain people in the Republican Party that opened
- 3:02Speaker 3: up that that bag of worms there. But nonetheless, it
- 3:06Speaker 3: was a sad thing that once you speak out, it
- 3:10Speaker 3: can be detrimental to you, not only in your career,
- 3:13Speaker 3: but people view you. So I was very disappointed as well.
- 3:18Speaker 3: But the reason why I brought that up is that
- 3:22Speaker 3: in between that, he was asked a question about the
- 3:24Speaker 3: $ 1. 8 billion that was going to assist people that were
- 3:30Speaker 3: supposedly wronged by the The Department of Justice during Biden's administration,
- 3:37Speaker 3: which I thought it's not good because that money can
- 3:42Speaker 3: be dispersed by people that want.
- 3:44Speaker 2: To help out people.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Again, whether you agree or not, but about January 6th,
- 3:49Speaker 3: these people are.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Going to get money.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Not only did they get their freedom, they're going to
- 3:54Speaker 3: get assistance based on the idea that they were being
- 3:57Speaker 3: mistreated by the government. And the Department, which I, again,
- 4:03Speaker 3: I don't want to keep beating up, but it was
- 4:05Speaker 3: that corruption right there. And I have to make, I
- 4:08Speaker 3: have to call it when I see it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Right. There's a couple of things that you brought up,
- 4:16Speaker 1: that you bring up that I'd like to talk about. Listen,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I'm not opposed to the, first of all, you've got
- 4:22Speaker 1: to start with the background here. Obviously, Trump's tax return,
- 4:26Speaker 1: I think Trump, Sean Hannity, so many of these people,
- 4:30Speaker 1: if you remember the time, were given, done an injustice
- 4:33Speaker 1: to by their tax returns being leaked to the media. Now,
- 4:37Speaker 1: I fault, obviously, the guy that leaked him. Ultimately, they've
- 4:40Speaker 1: tracked down who that was. And he was actually got
- 4:44Speaker 1: a prison sentence for that, as he should have. I mean,
- 4:47Speaker 1: he seemed to be a guy in the IRS that
- 4:49Speaker 1: hated conservatives, hated Sean Hannity, hated Trump. Trump and he
- 4:54Speaker 1: released their private information. And that is that is wrong.
- 4:58Speaker 1: It should never have been done. As far as I'm concerned,
- 5:02Speaker 1: they tracked him down and and he's punished as a
- 5:05Speaker 1: result of it. However, I also fault I have to
- 5:09Speaker 1: fault the media outlets. that received this information, they knew
- 5:15Speaker 1: it was gathered illegally, that it was illegal how it
- 5:18Speaker 1: was gathered, and they published it because of their hatred
- 5:21Speaker 1: of Trump. So you take the New York Times and
- 5:24Speaker 1: these entities that when this information was released, Knowing that
- 5:28Speaker 1: it was stolen, knowing that it violated the laws, they
- 5:32Speaker 1: looked the other way. They could care less because it
- 5:35Speaker 1: had to do with the hatred of Trump. I don't
- 5:36Speaker 1: think that was right if it was Biden's tax return,
- 5:39Speaker 1: Trump's tax return, or J.J. the liberal's tax return. When
- 5:42Speaker 1: you file your tax return, that is private. It's supposed
- 5:46Speaker 1: to remain that way. And Trump's was exposed. That is
- 5:50Speaker 1: what the precedent was. Not precedent. That's what the... reason
- 5:56Speaker 1: was for his lawsuit against the IRS because, because he
- 6:00Speaker 1: was wronged by the IRS for political purposes. If you remember,
- 6:05Speaker 1: people would say, I didn't pay any taxes and they're
- 6:07Speaker 1: trying to use it politically. So he was wronged. He
- 6:10Speaker 1: had a justifiable case against him as any of you would,
- 6:13Speaker 1: if they did that to you. So he had a
- 6:15Speaker 1: justifiable case. So he reached his settlements with the IRS
- 6:20Speaker 1: of getting this much money. And basically he's saying, this
- 6:24Speaker 1: is a fund that, for other people that have been
- 6:28Speaker 1: targeted for political purposes so that they can be made whole.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I'm not opposed to that because you're starting to see
- 6:38Speaker 1: some of this happen. I don't care if it's Democrats
- 6:40Speaker 1: or Republicans. For example, they targeted the Tea Party with
- 6:46Speaker 1: the IRS. So I'm not opposed to this fund being
- 6:51Speaker 1: established For people that are targeted for political purposes. I'm
- 6:56Speaker 1: perfectly fine with that. Unfortunately, I think we're seeing a
- 7:00Speaker 1: lot of that anymore. And I don't believe the power
- 7:02Speaker 1: of government should be used against its own citizens, Democrats
- 7:05Speaker 1: or Republicans, that you sick the IRS on them or
- 7:08Speaker 1: you sick whatever on them. I just think that that's wrong.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I've seen it over the years. And so I'm not
- 7:14Speaker 1: opposed to that settlement. This part I found a little
- 7:17Speaker 1: bit troubling, I will say to you. It's a nine-page
- 7:22Speaker 1: settlement agreement the DOJ released Monday setting up a $ 1. 8
- 7:26Speaker 1: billion fund to compensate victims of alleged weaponization of law enforcement.
- 7:32Speaker 1: So I'm not opposed to that because we know there's
- 7:34Speaker 1: been weaponization. We've seen it against Trump and his family.
- 7:38Speaker 1: And so that should be there. This is the one
- 7:41Speaker 1: thing that bothers me, though, if I go one step further. However,
- 7:44Speaker 1: a one-page document posted on the DOJ website early Tuesday
- 7:49Speaker 1: includes a sweeping release under which the IRS is— listen to this—
- 7:54Speaker 1: forever barred and precluded from pursuing examinations of Trump related
- 8:01Speaker 1: or affiliated individuals and related trust in businesses. So, so,
- 8:07Speaker 1: so they are, as, as it says, forever barred and
- 8:10Speaker 1: precluded the IRS from pursuing examinations of Trump related or
- 8:15Speaker 1: affiliated individuals. That would mean his kids and, and, uh, and, um,
- 8:22Speaker 1: related trust and businesses. So basically in this agreement, this
- 8:27Speaker 1: one page thing, the IRS is forever banned, barred from
- 8:33Speaker 1: examining Trump's returns or his company or his children or anyone.
- 8:39Speaker 1: So they can do anything in there. I mean, that's
- 8:42Speaker 1: kind of, when I read that, I saw that just
- 8:46Speaker 1: set me back because I don't necessarily agree with that.
- 8:50Speaker 1: That's so they, they have, They've been given something none
- 8:56Speaker 1: of you would ever get. So, yeah, they were given
- 9:00Speaker 1: a free pass that they can basically file anything and
- 9:04Speaker 1: there's not going to be a review. I mean, I
- 9:06Speaker 1: don't have a problem with this fund being set up
- 9:08Speaker 1: because I've seen it over the years, even before Trump,
- 9:12Speaker 1: where they would sick the IRS on people. I think
- 9:15Speaker 1: Nixon was the first one who did it. Remember, they
- 9:18Speaker 1: would sick the IRS on some reporters that they didn't
- 9:20Speaker 1: like and they sicked it on the Tea Party. Well,
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'm opposed to that. And so I'm not opposed to
- 9:25Speaker 1: this fund being set up for people to be made
- 9:29Speaker 1: hold from this. But I am opposed to this idea
- 9:32Speaker 1: that the IRS is banned from looking at anything with Trump. Now,
- 9:36Speaker 1: some would argue that they have to do that because
- 9:39Speaker 1: if the Democrats take control again, they'll just put his
- 9:41Speaker 1: family through a living hell on all of this kind
- 9:44Speaker 1: of stuff. And perhaps so. But in general, how do
- 9:48Speaker 1: you give a family and its businesses– and and all
- 9:52Speaker 1: this stuff a ban from all of this i mean
- 9:58Speaker 1: that is strange to me. I'll just say that's strange.
- 10:02Speaker 3: And I appreciate, again, I've come to respect you much,
- 10:07Speaker 3: even much more not that I've ever, I always respected you,
- 10:09Speaker 3: but especially recently within the last couple months, and this
- 10:12Speaker 3: is another, again, another example of that. Again, I am very,
- 10:17Speaker 3: I'm 50-50 on the idea of setting up a fund.
- 10:21Speaker 3: If it is, there are people that have been, on
- 10:24Speaker 3: the right, have been abused by our legal system. and
- 10:30Speaker 3: so i i believe that they they should get uh..
- 10:33Speaker 6: Uh..
- 10:33Speaker 3: The initiative may hold like you said uh... however but
- 10:37Speaker 3: that would look like a but that because that was
- 10:39Speaker 3: my final thing is that that disney and somebody uh...
- 10:42Speaker 3: the ability to make as much money as they want uh...
- 10:45Speaker 3: and again i understand your point by saying both the
- 10:47Speaker 3: democrats go back to power making attacking they can attack
- 10:50Speaker 3: his money uh... and that is another old uh... bag
- 10:53Speaker 3: of uh... the warm so to speak that you can
- 10:55Speaker 3: open up uh... but i i i believe that that
- 10:58Speaker 3: What I meant by the corruption of it is that
- 11:01Speaker 3: it is really a very dangerous slope when you do
- 11:06Speaker 3: that kind of thing. So I'm very much worried about that.
- 11:11Speaker 3: And it is something that... again, should be looked at.
- 11:15Speaker 3: And again, it is what it is. There's nothing I
- 11:20Speaker 3: can do about it.
- 11:21Speaker 7: Or pretty much anybody can do about it.
- 11:23Speaker 1: It's a done deal. I just thought that that... Listen,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I think a lot of these people, people who dwell
- 11:28Speaker 1: on this January 6th, I think a lot of these
- 11:30Speaker 1: people that did no harm, that simply walked in and
- 11:33Speaker 1: looked around and walked out with respect like they wanted
- 11:36Speaker 1: to or that were hunted down and their lives were
- 11:38Speaker 1: destroyed for political purposes... I think those people should be
- 11:42Speaker 1: made whole. I don't think they did any damage to anything.
- 11:44Speaker 1: The police were standing there and they walked in and
- 11:47Speaker 1: looked and left. That's different from anybody who broke a
- 11:50Speaker 1: window or anybody who stole Nancy Pelosi's lectern or any
- 11:53Speaker 1: of that kind of stuff. I understand all of that.
- 11:58Speaker 1: It got to an extreme where a lot of people
- 12:00Speaker 1: were persecuted for political purposes, and they should be made whole.
- 12:05Speaker 1: As I said, you had it in the past. Reporters
- 12:07Speaker 1: that were Washington, reporters that were... gone after through the
- 12:12Speaker 1: IRS or the tea party was, I'm just trying to
- 12:16Speaker 1: think of examples from both sides. And I think, and
- 12:21Speaker 1: I'm opposed to this. I'm opposed to politics entering this
- 12:24Speaker 1: kind of stuff. So if there's a fund to make
- 12:26Speaker 1: these people whole, I support it a hundred percent. And
- 12:29Speaker 1: then I think that's a good idea. But once again,
- 12:31Speaker 1: to completely ban the IRS from anything doing with the
- 12:37Speaker 1: Trump and the Trump family and businesses, um, That's interesting.
- 12:43Speaker 1: On one hand, I understand it because of what they
- 12:46Speaker 1: went through over the years. On the other hand, well,
- 12:51Speaker 1: how many of you listening out there would ever be
- 12:55Speaker 1: granted that waiver? And keep in mind, this was given
- 13:00Speaker 1: by the attorney general who used to be Trump's lawyer.
- 13:06Speaker 1: So you got to look at that with a little
- 13:08Speaker 1: bit of suspicion saying, well, wait a minute. This guy
- 13:11Speaker 1: was Trump's lawyer. He's now the attorney general. And so now,
- 13:14Speaker 1: you know, they put this through that gives Trump this waiver.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I would be probably I would hope you would be
- 13:20Speaker 1: as outraged if Biden did it for the Biden family
- 13:23Speaker 1: as you would be for the Trump family.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 1: It shouldn't matter who the figure is. I don't care
- 13:29Speaker 1: if it's Clinton, Biden or Gore or.
- 13:32Speaker 3: D in front of your name.
- 13:35Speaker 1: That shouldn't matter. But it seems to me this is
- 13:37Speaker 1: like a sweetheart deal. It was done for him by,
- 13:40Speaker 1: like I say, his lawyer, who's now the head of
- 13:42Speaker 1: the DOJ. And that's that's troubling to me.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Yeah, and I appreciate that. Just one other thing. When
- 13:48Speaker 3: I was saying yesterday about using the analogy of the
- 13:52Speaker 3: swimming pool with everything, it was an example of just saying,
- 13:57Speaker 3: why would I invest in something that I cannot enjoy
- 14:01Speaker 3: and not use?
- 14:02Speaker 1: But I don't think that was a good example in
- 14:04Speaker 1: a sense. Listen, he's building a ballroom. It's not like
- 14:07Speaker 1: he's going to stay there. He's just building it for
- 14:09Speaker 1: the country because it's necessary, in his opinion, to have
- 14:13Speaker 1: events on. He's going to move on and the next
- 14:16Speaker 1: president and the one after that and the one long
- 14:18Speaker 1: after we're dead, they'll be able to use it and
- 14:20Speaker 1: just be part. It's something that's needed and necessary. He's
- 14:24Speaker 1: not building it because he thinks he's going to stay forever.
- 14:26Speaker 1: He's just building it with private donations and some taxpayer money,
- 14:30Speaker 1: as I understand it now. So build the damn thing,
- 14:33Speaker 1: get it done, and don't put your name on it,
- 14:36Speaker 1: and then it'll be there for him and future presidents
- 14:40Speaker 1: to use.
- 14:40Speaker 8: Period.
- 14:41Speaker 1: End of story. Nothing more to it than that. I mean,
- 14:43Speaker 1: I'm not critical of the... of some of this uh...
- 14:45Speaker 1: some of this uh..
- 14:46Speaker 3: Stuff i mean let me and i understand your point
- 14:49Speaker 3: of it but it said it would be made a
- 14:50Speaker 3: comment that it's america's ballroom and i don't like to
- 14:53Speaker 3: know what my date is there that i can bring
- 14:54Speaker 3: my wife and but i didn't joke but it's nonetheless
- 14:58Speaker 3: the thing is that he's doing with the the reflecting
- 15:00Speaker 3: pond He does it with the Rose Garden. These are
- 15:02Speaker 3: things that, again, like Teddy complained about a big screen.
- 15:10Speaker 3: That's not even close to being the same example. But nonetheless,
- 15:13Speaker 3: I appreciate your viewpoints, and you're doing a great job,
- 15:17Speaker 3: my friend.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Thank you. There you go. J.J., the liberal, starting it
- 15:20Speaker 1: off today. 3.22 in the afternoon, NewsRadio 570 WKBN. And so,
- 15:25Speaker 1: Ron Ferb, callers on the line, stand by. Let me
- 15:27Speaker 1: get a break out of the way. Appreciate you tuning
- 15:30Speaker 1: in here on an overcast, rainy Wednesday afternoon, 55 degrees.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Always an honor to be with you. Ron Ferb from
- 15:36Speaker 1: the Kingdom of Mahoning on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Stay close.
- 15:42Speaker 9: Youngstown's News, Weather, and Talk Station, 570 WKBN.
- 15:47Speaker 1: And Ron Furb, good afternoon. 325 in the afternoon, and
- 15:51Speaker 1: you're on the air.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Hello.
- 15:53Speaker 10: Ronald.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Ted the Conservative.
- 15:56Speaker 7: So much to talk about.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Don't even know where to begin.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Well, fire away. I'll be all ears. Take it in.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Go.
- 16:03Speaker 7: I will say one thing. The last comment you made
- 16:05Speaker 7: to J.J., hopefully he doesn't put his name on the ballroom.
- 16:09Speaker 7: That's concerning. But the guy's got to have things named
- 16:14Speaker 7: after him. You know, we talk about his narcissism and
- 16:17Speaker 7: all that stuff.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Like the Kennedy Center and this kind of stuff. I mean,
- 16:21Speaker 1: it's ridiculous.
- 16:22Speaker 7: And I mean, so childish. And it speaks to the
- 16:25Speaker 7: bigger problem, I think, with this guy. He just causes
- 16:29Speaker 7: so much division. And he's doing it in the party now.
- 16:33Speaker 7: You know, I really don't know that I had a
- 16:36Speaker 7: position on Matthews. but I would probably lean in agreement
- 16:40Speaker 7: with you. I was just trying to point out yesterday
- 16:43Speaker 7: the differences. He's not a conservative. He is a libertarian.
- 16:48Speaker 7: He came along through the Tea Party. None of that
- 16:51Speaker 7: matters now because, like.
- 16:52Speaker 11: GT said yesterday, we'll have to flip the script on him.
- 16:56Speaker 11: He said yesterday the people of Kentucky voted for him
- 16:58Speaker 11: and he was a representative. Well, people of kentucky just
- 17:01Speaker 11: kicked them out of office he's no longer their representative.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But hold the phone for a second because i'll be
- 17:05Speaker 1: curious i'm i'm i'm glad you called folks i just
- 17:08Speaker 1: tell you all of this i am fascinated by ted
- 17:10Speaker 1: the conservative all right i'm just uh find him a
- 17:14Speaker 1: very interesting person so let me let me bounce this
- 17:16Speaker 1: off of you when i hear this uh you know
- 17:20Speaker 1: trump wins another one you got it this was the
- 17:22Speaker 1: most expensive congressional race in our history And you had..
- 17:28Speaker 7: And both guys spent a ton of money.
- 17:31Speaker 2: You have to realize also..
- 17:32Speaker 1: But just hang on a second.
- 17:33Speaker 7: You're going to go with the Israel and all this stuff,
- 17:35Speaker 7: but what about the anti-Israel money that came pouring in
- 17:39Speaker 7: from Iranians and everyone else?
- 17:40Speaker 1: I don't know about..
- 17:41Speaker 4: It goes both ways.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I didn't see Iran giving a lot of money, but
- 17:44Speaker 1: I saw $ 10 million..
- 17:44Speaker 7: Iranian business owners. It goes both ways.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I don't think it does go both ways. I think that...
- 17:51Speaker 1: Let me put it this way. I think what you're
- 17:52Speaker 1: seeing with Marjorie Taylor Greene and with Thomas Massey is...
- 17:56Speaker 1: I'm afraid to say you're not going to see anybody
- 17:58Speaker 1: go against anything with Israel, even if they feel it's
- 18:01Speaker 1: not in America's best interest, because of the political ramifications
- 18:05Speaker 1: that are coming from it. And the amount of money
- 18:08Speaker 1: that is poured into these races to eliminate... the people
- 18:13Speaker 1: who are opposed to that. Thomas Massey was opposed to
- 18:17Speaker 1: all foreign aid, which I just will say to Ted
- 18:20Speaker 1: and to all of you, I am as well. This
- 18:22Speaker 1: country's $ 40 trillion in debt. I'm concerned about the future
- 18:26Speaker 1: of your Social Security, which is not economically in the
- 18:30Speaker 1: best of shape. I'm concerned about the future of Medicare.
- 18:34Speaker 1: When do we start taking care of our American citizens first?
- 18:38Speaker 1: Without giving billions of dollars away and going further in debt,
- 18:41Speaker 1: which this debt is going to destroy us, our American economy,
- 18:46Speaker 1: and eating up our tax dollars interest-wise. But when are
- 18:49Speaker 1: we going to look after our American people as opposed
- 18:52Speaker 1: to the billions of dollars? If I had to make
- 18:54Speaker 1: a choice, this would get Ted the conservative, but I
- 18:57Speaker 1: think he might agree with this. See, I'm trying to
- 18:59Speaker 1: get you, Ted. I would rather that money go to
- 19:04Speaker 1: supplement people's health care costs than go to billions of
- 19:07Speaker 1: dollars to Egypt or Israel or anybody else.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I don't disagree with you.
- 19:12Speaker 1: In my own country. So I'm saying if you take
- 19:15Speaker 1: a look at what's going on, free-minded thinkers not influenced
- 19:18Speaker 1: by the huge amount of money from that PAC and
- 19:22Speaker 1: the ramifications, you will have politicians that will be afraid
- 19:26Speaker 1: to vote against anything And it don't matter if it's
- 19:29Speaker 1: in America's best interest or not. They'll go along with
- 19:32Speaker 1: it out of fear of their own political survival. Because
- 19:36Speaker 1: there's a reason why they pump that kind of money
- 19:38Speaker 1: into that race. Hang on, Ted. All of you guys
- 19:40Speaker 1: stand by. I'm going to talk to Ted for a while.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Then I'll get to you. I promise. I enjoy my
- 19:44Speaker 1: conversations with Ted. I hope you do. All right. Ted.
- 19:50Speaker 7: Yes.
- 19:51Speaker 12: All right.
- 19:52Speaker 7: Before we get going, let me ask you this real quick.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:56Speaker 7: Is Cuba going to be the next crisis now? I mean,
- 19:59Speaker 7: I'm a little bit alarmed at what I'm hearing out
- 20:01Speaker 7: of there.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I haven't really paid much attention at
- 20:04Speaker 1: this point in time. But take it away with your thoughts.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I mean, that's where I'm at. I just don't want...
- 20:09Speaker 1: to lose independent thinking within the Republican Party. As I
- 20:14Speaker 1: said to Ted, as I say to you, I do
- 20:16Speaker 1: not agree with... I believe that what happened with Epstein
- 20:20Speaker 1: is deplorable. I believe all that information should be out there.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I believe that's what he ran on. And I believe
- 20:27Speaker 1: the people who've done it, I don't care if Trump's
- 20:29Speaker 1: involved or Clinton's involved or not involved, everyone should be
- 20:34Speaker 1: held accountable because this was raping, basically, children. And Prince Andrew,
- 20:39Speaker 1: all the rest of them. And what I'm seeing here
- 20:41Speaker 1: is a double standard of justice where I am. It's
- 20:46Speaker 1: deplorable to me that the intelligence community created Epstein and
- 20:50Speaker 1: created this and was so debolical that they would say
- 20:55Speaker 1: we're going to have exploit children to get the goods
- 21:00Speaker 1: on some of these people and children. And when you
- 21:04Speaker 1: see the connections to the intelligence community, when you see
- 21:07Speaker 1: how the cases were handled, it's troubling me. And I
- 21:11Speaker 1: think there are ties of this to Israel and potentially
- 21:15Speaker 1: the CIA, one or both, if you will. And I
- 21:18Speaker 1: find it that this should be exposed. And who's got
- 21:22Speaker 1: all this information that they can hold over these people's
- 21:25Speaker 1: heads today? Where did it go? What happened to Pam Bondi?
- 21:29Speaker 1: And I got the files and she's gone. And where
- 21:33Speaker 1: is this information? People are saying this is a double
- 21:35Speaker 1: standard of justice. Trump did a 180 on it. And
- 21:39Speaker 1: I just don't, I agree with Massey. I agree with
- 21:41Speaker 1: Marjorie Taylor Greene. I agree with all of these people
- 21:43Speaker 1: that say, you ran on this. This is the public's business.
- 21:47Speaker 1: We have a right to know. We are losing faith
- 21:50Speaker 1: in our government and all of you that ran as
- 21:53Speaker 1: people that are going to change that and not doing
- 21:55Speaker 1: anything about it. And we're concerned about that.
- 21:58Speaker 7: I can't disagree with you. I agree with you. And,
- 22:01Speaker 7: you know, this may not make sense to other people,
- 22:04Speaker 7: but this is who I am. I always tell you
- 22:08Speaker 7: when I vote for a Democrat or Republican, if I
- 22:11Speaker 7: vote for a Republican, that guy airs. He's going to
- 22:14Speaker 7: air like we're seeing Trump air. You know, he's not
- 22:17Speaker 7: going to release the Epstein file. He's not going to
- 22:19Speaker 7: do the things he said.
- 22:20Speaker 1: But can I ask you something?
- 22:21Speaker 7: Kamala Harris.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Oh, I would never vote for her.
- 22:24Speaker 7: You know, we're going off the rails.
- 22:27Speaker 1: If you're asking me, I say it all the time.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I couldn't vote for Sherrod Brown. I would never vote
- 22:31Speaker 1: for the Democrats, period. I want to make that perfectly clear.
- 22:34Speaker 1: But I sometimes wonder, and I ask this of you
- 22:38Speaker 1: because I think you have great political insights. I think
- 22:41Speaker 1: Trump has incredible political skills. I think he can read
- 22:47Speaker 1: from understanding politics and people, okay?
- 22:51Speaker 7: His ego blinds him at times.
- 22:53Speaker 1: It blinds him at times, and I just don't understand
- 22:56Speaker 1: why he did a total reversal literally overnight on Epstein
- 23:01Speaker 1: and on Iran as far as... I'm very troubled by that,
- 23:05Speaker 1: that that happens.
- 23:06Speaker 7: Well, I think it goes to the Massey, the MTG,
- 23:09Speaker 7: the Boebert now, and even in Texas getting involved.
- 23:13Speaker 1: You know..
- 23:13Speaker 7: I don't live in Texas. I don't live in Kentucky.
- 23:17Speaker 7: I only know about these guys what I read and
- 23:21Speaker 7: what I read. I do know history has shown us. Yeah,
- 23:25Speaker 7: Donald Trump's really good in selecting candidates in primary elections.
- 23:31Speaker 7: He's horrible.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Yes.
- 23:33Speaker 7: Horrible in general elections. And I think he possibly gave
- 23:37Speaker 7: the Texas seat away. Now, I hear what GQ said
- 23:40Speaker 7: yesterday about Cornyn.
- 23:41Speaker 1: First of all, that's an important point that Ted just made.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I mean, I don't want you just to drop that
- 23:49Speaker 1: and move on.
- 23:50Speaker 13: Right.
- 23:51Speaker 1: These are primary elections. And he's terrible at general elections.
- 23:56Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 23:57Speaker 7: He stands up on the American First platform, I think.
- 24:00Speaker 7: That's what I would call it. I think you know
- 24:02Speaker 7: what I'm talking about. We know what G2 stands for
- 24:05Speaker 7: and what he wants.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I think you stand for the American First agenda, too.
- 24:09Speaker 1: I think we all do.
- 24:10Speaker 7: Yes, yes, but I don't know that I'm to the extreme, maybe,
- 24:14Speaker 7: that G2 is. And I'm not saying that in a
- 24:17Speaker 7: negative way. G2 is very firm in what he stands on.
- 24:21Speaker 1: He believes you've got to save this country.
- 24:23Speaker 7: I think G2 is, I wonder, you know, I don't
- 24:27Speaker 7: know a lot about him. None of us do.
- 24:29Speaker 2: You keep him in the bunker.
- 24:31Speaker 7: But I would wonder, I would love to know the
- 24:33Speaker 7: evolution of G2. When I hear G2 talk, I hear
- 24:37Speaker 7: a little bit of the Tea Party. I hear a
- 24:39Speaker 7: little bit of the Libertarian Party. He's a fascinating guy,
- 24:43Speaker 7: very intelligent guy.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I'm conservative, and that's why I can tell you Matthew's
- 24:50Speaker 1: not a conservative.
- 24:53Speaker 7: But regardless, I don't want to get off on a tangent.
- 24:55Speaker 7: I'll just go back to what I said. My concern
- 24:58Speaker 7: now is in Texas, if Trump throws his weight behind
- 25:01Speaker 7: Paxson and Paxson wins, well, that's concerning because Paxson can
- 25:07Speaker 7: lose that seat to the Democrats. I was looking at
- 25:10Speaker 7: a poll out of the Texas Tribune, I think it was,
- 25:14Speaker 7: this morning. And I had heard rumors about this, but
- 25:17Speaker 7: I hadn't dug into it until this morning. And Cronin
- 25:21Speaker 7: had a slight lead on a head-to-head with this guy,
- 25:25Speaker 7: this Democrat. Well, you throw Paxton's name in now instead
- 25:31Speaker 7: of Cronin's name, and you've got a dead heat.
- 25:35Speaker 15: Right.
- 25:36Speaker 16: And..
- 25:37Speaker 7: Well, yeah, I would like someone in those seats that
- 25:40Speaker 7: thinks more like I do and would do things that
- 25:42Speaker 7: you and I want or the things that you two
- 25:44Speaker 7: talked about. Bottom line for me, the most important thing
- 25:47Speaker 7: is winning elections. And then when you get in office,
- 25:50Speaker 7: you've got to govern somehow, and you've got to do
- 25:54Speaker 7: what your base wants you to do. You'll never please everybody.
- 25:58Speaker 7: You may not please half the people. But, you know,
- 26:01Speaker 7: I start from that standpoint. For me, I want to
- 26:03Speaker 7: win elections. When I was talking about the team sport,
- 26:07Speaker 7: G2 misunderstood that yesterday. And you have to be united,
- 26:11Speaker 7: and you have to win elections. Because if you don't
- 26:13Speaker 7: win elections, you don't even get to have a second conversation.
- 26:17Speaker 7: There's no longer talking about agendas. Your agenda compared to
- 26:20Speaker 7: the Libertarian, the Conservative, the Tea Party. You don't even
- 26:23Speaker 7: have those conversations.
- 26:25Speaker 1: But here was the problem. Let me bounce this off
- 26:27Speaker 1: of you. The problem with Tim Ryan was Tim Ryan
- 26:30Speaker 1: became a politician. Tim Ryan went down and he did
- 26:35Speaker 1: whatever the Democrat Party told him. He was the lapdog
- 26:37Speaker 1: for Nancy Pelosi. He lost touch with his constituents and
- 26:41Speaker 1: what they stood for and what a good idea would
- 26:44Speaker 1: be if it was Republican or Democrat. Somewhat of what
- 26:47Speaker 1: you see a little bit with Fetterman. But he lost
- 26:50Speaker 1: track of that. I don't want to get to the
- 26:52Speaker 1: point where if you're a Republican, you check your brain
- 26:56Speaker 1: at the door and whatever the party tells you or
- 26:58Speaker 1: the president tells you, you vote for it whether you
- 27:00Speaker 1: agree with it or not. And that's just the way
- 27:03Speaker 1: it is. And if you don't, then we're going to
- 27:05Speaker 1: run your ass out of office. I'm not for that
- 27:08Speaker 1: type of thinking. They were talking about the people of
- 27:11Speaker 1: Black Massey, Rand Paul and all this. Are they the
- 27:14Speaker 1: next targeted to be eliminated because they're not walking in
- 27:17Speaker 1: lockstep with the party? Well, I certainly hope not, because
- 27:21Speaker 1: a debate in a party is not a bad thing
- 27:23Speaker 1: about issues like Epstein and issues like the war and
- 27:26Speaker 1: this kind of stuff. Those aren't bad things.
- 27:29Speaker 7: You know, Trump is in office, obviously, for a lot
- 27:32Speaker 7: of different reasons. A lot of people vote for Trump
- 27:35Speaker 7: just because they could not vote for Kamala Harris. It
- 27:37Speaker 7: doesn't mean that they agree with the guy, like the guy. Amen.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I vote for Trump every time because I like the
- 27:43Speaker 1: majority of what he has done. And I still like
- 27:45Speaker 1: the majority of what he's done. But I'm telling you, Ted.
- 27:48Speaker 7: Let me flip back to something we talked about yesterday
- 27:53Speaker 7: real quick, and then we'll get back to this issue.
- 27:56Speaker 7: The one big, beautiful bill. You guys, because I'm confused. Now,
- 28:00Speaker 7: maybe you can help me understand this. You claimed, and
- 28:04Speaker 7: G2 said, that it was a bipartisan bill that extended
- 28:08Speaker 7: the Biden agenda. And I disagree completely with you guys.
- 28:12Speaker 7: And I even looked at that this morning.
- 28:14Speaker 1: No, the Biden spending. The Biden spending.
- 28:18Speaker 7: Not one Democrat voted. So I don't know how G2
- 28:22Speaker 7: called it a bipartisan bill.
- 28:23Speaker 5: Then..
- 28:24Speaker 7: When you look at the core concepts, it was a
- 28:27Speaker 7: mass deportation and border security. That's where spending went. Tax relief,
- 28:33Speaker 7: defense and national security spending, and spending cuts. Medicaid. You
- 28:37Speaker 7: talked about Medicaid cuts for months and months. So what
- 28:41Speaker 7: spending in that bill did you oppose? Or where did
- 28:43Speaker 7: you think that there was Biden? That was Trump's bill.
- 28:47Speaker 7: There was nothing about Joe Biden in there. The only
- 28:50Speaker 7: spending was military, defense, border security. deportations, a lot of
- 28:57Speaker 7: tax relief that caused the bill to go up in price,
- 29:00Speaker 7: and spending cuts, SNAP and Medicaid programs. So I think
- 29:04Speaker 7: we have to be careful sometimes that we don't just
- 29:07Speaker 7: muddy the water because we're getting, like I said to
- 29:10Speaker 7: you before, Trump throws so much stuff at the wall.
- 29:14Speaker 7: Some of it sticks, some of it doesn't, but we
- 29:16Speaker 7: have to be real clear. There were no Democrats that
- 29:19Speaker 7: voted for that big, beautiful bill, and it wasn't an
- 29:21Speaker 7: extension of the Biden spending. Let's go back to this.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Go ahead, I'm sorry.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Well, the problem that Republicans had, conservative Republicans, was how
- 29:35Speaker 1: it increased the debt and deficit and didn't address... continued
- 29:40Speaker 1: the Biden spending, let's put it that way. Well, it
- 29:44Speaker 1: didn't continue the.
- 29:45Speaker 7: Biden spending, it continued growing the national debt.
- 29:48Speaker 17: Right.
- 29:50Speaker 7: So the simple solution was don't cut Ron Gerb's taxes
- 29:52Speaker 7: and it won't increase the debt.
- 29:54Speaker 2: You can't have it both ways.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Well, no, there's a couple of things on there. I understand.
- 29:59Speaker 1: I often sit back and wonder, if you want to
- 30:01Speaker 1: be blunt about it, why are you..
- 30:03Speaker 7: No, I'm not saying it was right or wrong.
- 30:04Speaker 1: No, no, but I mean, listen, I'm all for the
- 30:06Speaker 1: tax cuts, but here's my problem with them. They're for
- 30:09Speaker 1: three years. They're not permanent. I mean, you know, this idea,
- 30:13Speaker 1: no tax on tips, that's only for three years. The
- 30:18Speaker 1: deductions you get on your Social Security increases, deductions, is
- 30:23Speaker 1: only for three years. These things are not permanent in
- 30:26Speaker 1: the big, beautiful bill. They're three years. They have a sunset.
- 30:29Speaker 1: And guess who's out of office at that time? Trump is.
- 30:32Speaker 1: So all of that stuff can go away. So part
- 30:35Speaker 1: of my problem is this stuff should be permanent. It
- 30:39Speaker 1: is not.
- 30:41Speaker 4: And..
- 30:43Speaker 2: I agree.
- 30:44Speaker 7: Do you reach a point where... If I feel strongly
- 30:48Speaker 7: about something, I'll tell you. But oftentimes, I just like
- 30:51Speaker 7: for all the information and the facts to be correct
- 30:54Speaker 7: and let the tips fall where they may. So going
- 30:56Speaker 7: back to what we were talking about with Texas.
- 30:58Speaker 1: But I just want to go back. Massey was opposed
- 31:01Speaker 1: to the big, beautiful bill because it didn't cut the
- 31:03Speaker 1: federal deficit enough and would increase the national debt. Well,
- 31:08Speaker 1: that's a fiscal conservative that says, when are we going
- 31:12Speaker 1: to stop kicking the can down the road? We're continuing
- 31:15Speaker 1: to add, what are we, $ 40 trillion out of the
- 31:18Speaker 1: national debt? Folks, You know this. It's our second highest expense.
- 31:23Speaker 1: We take in $ 4. 5 trillion a year, roughly, in federal
- 31:26Speaker 1: income tax.
- 31:28Speaker 7: As a member of a Tea Party, that was their
- 31:31Speaker 7: big thing.
- 31:31Speaker 1: $ 2 trillion is going..
- 31:33Speaker 7: And they wanted to end this stuff.
- 31:36Speaker 1: But it's going... We are spending all of this money...
- 31:38Speaker 1: The only thing higher than it, I believe, is Social Security.
- 31:41Speaker 1: We're spending all of this money on paying interest. That's
- 31:45Speaker 1: what these conservatives are arguing. Stop kicking the can down
- 31:48Speaker 1: the road.
- 31:49Speaker 16: And..
- 31:50Speaker 1: How much more? I mean, we spend a lot in
- 31:52Speaker 1: the military and we keep increasing military spending. At some point,
- 31:55Speaker 1: even that has got to stop because we're bankrupting the country.
- 32:00Speaker 1: And there are other programs that are important. I mean,
- 32:03Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but Social Security and Medicare are vital to
- 32:06Speaker 1: our senior citizens.
- 32:08Speaker 7: As is the Medicaid program. Even though there's fraud in it,
- 32:12Speaker 7: it's vital. You know, people need help.
- 32:14Speaker 1: That is true. That is true.
- 32:15Speaker 7: You know, the problem is, I think that We're racing
- 32:21Speaker 7: the financial clock. You can't just keep going into debt
- 32:25Speaker 7: not thinking that one day you're not going to have
- 32:27Speaker 7: to pay that bill. And we've got so many problems.
- 32:32Speaker 7: The only thing Trump did is slow the speed of
- 32:36Speaker 7: acceleration down. And I'm not sure he even slowed it
- 32:41Speaker 7: much because, like you said, the big, beautiful bill, it
- 32:44Speaker 7: accelerated debt. It didn't do anything to curb the debt,
- 32:46Speaker 7: you know. And I don't know that I don't know
- 32:51Speaker 7: what's going to cause. We know Democrats aren't going to
- 32:55Speaker 7: reduce that because they believe in tax and spend. And
- 33:00Speaker 7: the Republicans want to keep cutting taxes, but increasing spending
- 33:05Speaker 7: in the areas that they support, whether it's military or
- 33:08Speaker 7: other things. So, you know, I'll be honest with you.
- 33:11Speaker 2: I'm a guy.
- 33:12Speaker 7: I'm one of those guys that looks at the glass
- 33:14Speaker 7: half full. I think a lot of your callers look
- 33:17Speaker 7: at the glass half empty. But, you know, in the
- 33:20Speaker 7: last week or so, it's become harder and harder to
- 33:23Speaker 7: look at that glass half empty.
- 33:25Speaker 1: How about if we look at it realistically? I say
- 33:27Speaker 1: it all the time. I say it to you. I
- 33:29Speaker 1: want the best for all of you listening. We should
- 33:32Speaker 1: all start in thinking as Americans first. I don't want
- 33:35Speaker 1: decisions influenced by these lobbyists from other countries.
- 33:39Speaker 7: I am..
- 33:40Speaker 1: Concerned about one country, this country. This is where I live.
- 33:44Speaker 1: This is where my children are. They're all adults now.
- 33:47Speaker 1: This is our country.
- 33:48Speaker 7: I agree with that, too. But, you know, if you
- 33:51Speaker 7: look at the countries that lobby the United States, not
- 33:53Speaker 7: only Israel. I don't know why we keep beating up
- 33:56Speaker 7: on Israel so much.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Because they have one of the strongest lobbyists group around.
- 34:02Speaker 1: They are hugely influential countries. In our decisions. And I
- 34:07Speaker 1: just say we got to think of America first and
- 34:09Speaker 1: the financial security of America first.
- 34:14Speaker 2: I agree with you.
- 34:15Speaker 1: And we're not.
- 34:16Speaker 7: It's no one's fault but our own.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Well, it goes to show you.
- 34:20Speaker 7: We elect these guys. I think what it just goes
- 34:23Speaker 7: to show is that the beast is so big that
- 34:26Speaker 7: it's no longer controllable. The beast in government.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:30Speaker 7: It's too big. It's just too big to succeed. to
- 34:34Speaker 7: meet the purpose of why it was formed. Maybe we
- 34:38Speaker 7: need a Tea Party to come in and give us
- 34:41Speaker 7: an actual Boston Tea Party.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Let me put it this way.
- 34:45Speaker 7: I don't know. I don't know how you get to
- 34:47Speaker 7: train back on the track, but it's definitely off the track.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I'll leave you with that. Well said.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Okay, bye.
- 34:53Speaker 1: All right, Ted the Conservative. I think that's a good point.
- 34:58Speaker 1: How do you get the train back off the track?
- 35:00Speaker 1: Because it's definitely off the track. I think that's some
- 35:02Speaker 1: pretty good analysis, which I always get from Ted the Conservative.
- 35:06Speaker 1: More of your calls coming up. Ron Verb, NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Kingdom of Mahoney, I am. The WKBN. I'm at 0357
- 35:14Speaker 1: in the afternoon, and you're on the air.
- 35:16Speaker 15: Hello.
- 35:17Speaker 16: Ron, the reason I'm calling today is because yesterday... Ted
- 35:22Speaker 16: and two emailers said I was wrong, but I was
- 35:26Speaker 16: actually right. First, Ted the warmonger said I told someone
- 35:31Speaker 16: to buy an investment, and he lost $ 30, 000. That's a lie.
- 35:37Speaker 16: I am not allowed to give investment.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Okay. I don't want to dwell on everything every day.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I am not going to let Ted the warmonger. I'm
- 35:45Speaker 1: not getting into any of this name calling it with callers.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I have had enough of that. All right.
- 35:49Speaker 18: I did not lose anybody.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Okay. I don't even want to discuss it. Okay. The
- 35:55Speaker 1: guy said he did something and that was his choice
- 35:59Speaker 1: to do it. So I don't even want to dwell
- 36:01Speaker 1: on it. So move on. I mean, you know, it's ridiculous.
- 36:04Speaker 1: You get bogged down in the weeds on some of
- 36:06Speaker 1: this crap.
- 36:08Speaker 16: I disagree, but an emailer claimed the Wall Street Journal
- 36:12Speaker 16: contradicted me when I said interest on government bonds were
- 36:17Speaker 16: rising because governments are deep in debt and could technically deploy,
- 36:22Speaker 16: as California did.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Stand by. I'll come back to you in a minute.
- 36:30Speaker 1: From ABC News, I'm Chuck Sievertson.
- 36:34Speaker 19: So what now, now that the Justice Department has indicted
- 36:36Speaker 19: ex-Cuban dictator Raul Castro and several others for murder related
- 36:41Speaker 19: to Cuba shooting down two relief planes in the 1990s
- 36:44Speaker 19: that killed three American pilots?
- 36:46Speaker 1: Acting Attorney General Todd Blanch in Miami.
- 36:49Speaker 20: We didn't indict. This isn't a show indictment. This is
- 36:52Speaker 20: an indictment because we expect that there was a warrant
- 36:55Speaker 20: issued for his arrest. So we expect that he will
- 36:59Speaker 20: show up here by his own will or by another way.
- 37:03Speaker 19: ABC News legal contributor Dan Abrams says Castro is still
- 37:06Speaker 19: in Cuba.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Cuba doesn't extradite, right?
- 37:08Speaker 21: So there's going to have to be some new policy
- 37:11Speaker 21: that is implemented based on political force. to get Cuba
- 37:15Speaker 21: to suddenly give up Raul Castro. I don't see how
- 37:19Speaker 21: that would happen, but look, things are changing, and there's
- 37:22Speaker 21: a lot of pressure going on right now.
- 37:24Speaker 19: Two police officers who defended the Capitol in the January 6,
- 37:27Speaker 19: 2021 attack by Trump supporters are suing to stop the
- 37:30Speaker 19: creation of the nearly $ 2 billion Trump fund that could
- 37:34Speaker 19: potentially compensate rioters from that day.
- 37:37Speaker 1: ABC's Peter Harlambous.
- 37:38Speaker 13: Former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn and Metropolitan Police Department
- 37:42Speaker 13: Officer Daniel Hodges alleged the compensation fund would not only
- 37:46Speaker 13: encourage those who committed violence in the name of President Trump,
- 37:49Speaker 13: but also directly finance their operations.
- 37:51Speaker 19: Former Trump administration official Michael Caputo says he is requesting
- 37:55Speaker 19: $ 2. 7 million from that fund, claiming he was targeted in
- 37:59Speaker 19: the Russia investigation. Of the American missionary doctor who was
- 38:02Speaker 19: working in Congo and Africa and tested positive for the
- 38:05Speaker 19: Ebola virus, Dr. Satish Pillai with the CDC.
- 38:09Speaker 6: The American has landed in Germany and is at the
- 38:12Speaker 6: hospital and in stable condition.
- 38:14Speaker 1: At the hospital at the U.S. Air Base in Germany.
- 38:16Speaker 19: At the close on Wall Street, the major indexes have gains.
- 38:19Speaker 19: The Dow up over 645 points. The Nasdaq up 399.
- 38:25Speaker 19: And oil is a little lower.
- 38:26Speaker 1: You're listening to ABC News. From NewsRadio 570, WKBN 406
- 38:32Speaker 1: here on a Wednesday, on a wet Wednesday afternoon, 54 degrees.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Ron Furb from the Kingdom of Mahoning. All right, let
- 38:39Speaker 1: me go back to Fort Lauderdale.
- 38:42Speaker 16: You're in a bad mood.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I'm not in a bad mood, but I don't want
- 38:45Speaker 1: to dwell on that situation that you want to dwell on.
- 38:47Speaker 1: I just don't.
- 38:50Speaker 16: Ron, you're incorrect, though. There's nobody personally responsible for buying
- 38:56Speaker 16: anything because I am not allowed.
- 38:58Speaker 7: To give advice over the phone.
- 39:02Speaker 2: Don't you understand that?
- 39:03Speaker 1: I get it. So drop it. Or drop you. I mean,
- 39:07Speaker 1: I don't want to just dwell on it. It's an
- 39:11Speaker 1: insignificant thing to me.
- 39:13Speaker 16: All right, before I get to Bassey, can I ask
- 39:15Speaker 16: you a question? If you're accusing me of name-calling, why.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Do you allow... I'm saying I'm trying to improve things.
- 39:25Speaker 1: I do not approve of personal attacks on callers. I'm
- 39:29Speaker 1: trying to prevent that from happening.
- 39:31Speaker 16: But you allow Rich the pharmacist to call me anti-Semite,
- 39:36Speaker 16: don't you?
- 39:36Speaker 1: I'm trying to prevent things, all right?
- 39:39Speaker 16: All right, I appreciate it. Now, Massey, okay, yesterday an
- 39:43Speaker 16: emailer said that I said that Massey... voted with Republicans 97%
- 39:49Speaker 16: of the time. I said last year I told you
- 39:54Speaker 16: Massey voted with Republicans 97% of the time, but that
- 39:57Speaker 16: was 2024. So I was off by 2%. Big deal.
- 39:59Speaker 16: I was right. But he also voted with Republicans 87%
- 40:02Speaker 16: of the time last year, and you said yesterday that
- 40:13Speaker 16: He voted 90% of the time with Republicans. But the
- 40:17Speaker 16: Zionist lobby poured huge amounts of money in the race
- 40:21Speaker 16: to oust a Republican who votes with the Republicans almost
- 40:26Speaker 16: every time. And Ted was wrong. He said 75% of
- 40:30Speaker 16: the time. But now the Republican Party is 100% the
- 40:36Speaker 16: party of Israel and of pedophile protectors.
- 40:40Speaker 2: And Ron..
- 40:41Speaker 16: Also, 70% of farmers in the latest poll say they
- 40:46Speaker 16: can't afford to grow food because of the high cost
- 40:50Speaker 16: of fertilizer because of the Iran war. But NVIDIA is
- 40:56Speaker 16: about to report earnings any minute now, and that could
- 40:59Speaker 16: drive the market even higher. Now, I got good news
- 41:04Speaker 16: for Donald Trump. Donald Trump has more than 3,600 trades
- 41:11Speaker 16: were made between January and March 26 in Trump's personal accounts. Now,
- 41:17Speaker 16: the cumulative value of trades ranged from $ 220 million to
- 41:22Speaker 16: $ 750 million because federal ethics disclosures require broad valuations rather
- 41:30Speaker 16: than specific figures.
- 41:32Speaker 7: But Trump, you know what he's doing?
- 41:35Speaker 16: He's buying the Mag 7, and he's also way overweighted
- 41:41Speaker 16: in companies that deliver the hardware for AI. And, Ron,
- 41:46Speaker 16: Trump is personally hyping his stocks. On May 8th, he
- 41:50Speaker 16: told people to go out and buy Dell, and Dell
- 41:54Speaker 16: surged 14.6% and made an all-time high. It's more than
- 41:59Speaker 16: doubled now.
- 42:01Speaker 17: Now, Ron..
- 42:03Speaker 16: I would like to tell Trump that here's what. If
- 42:08Speaker 16: you're going to buy stocks, the best way for your stocks,
- 42:13Speaker 16: AI stocks to go up in price, is end the
- 42:17Speaker 16: wars in the Middle East. Because every time Wall Street
- 42:21Speaker 16: thinks these wars are going to end, what happens? The
- 42:25Speaker 16: stock market surges.
- 42:28Speaker 1: There you have it. Are you done?
- 42:32Speaker 16: Do you want me to be done?
- 42:34Speaker 5: Sure.
- 42:34Speaker 2: All right.
- 42:38Speaker 16: Now, Ron, we've known each other for such a long time.
- 42:42Speaker 16: I mean, we've talked to each other for such a
- 42:44Speaker 16: long time.
- 42:45Speaker 1: But there's times that I will disagree with you. Listen,
- 42:48Speaker 1: I am the first guy to say, in agreement with you,
- 42:51Speaker 1: I think a great American was defeated last night in Mass.
- 42:54Speaker 1: He's losing that election. I agree with you, too. He's
- 42:57Speaker 1: a conservative. First and foremost, he is a conservative. Trump
- 43:01Speaker 1: has a beef with Massey on three issues. Well, he
- 43:04Speaker 1: would have a beef with a lot of people on it.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Those three issues are the Epstein files, the war in Iran,
- 43:11Speaker 1: and stopping all foreign aid. Well, guess what? I agree
- 43:17Speaker 1: with Massey on all three of those issues. So I
- 43:21Speaker 1: voted for Trump three times. I would vote for a Democrat, period,
- 43:25Speaker 1: because they're just lunatics. But I'm looking at a president
- 43:30Speaker 1: that's attacking anybody who disagrees with anything he stands for. Well,
- 43:35Speaker 1: I do not agree with keeping the Epstein files closed
- 43:39Speaker 1: and secretive and not exposing it. I am totally opposed
- 43:42Speaker 1: to that. And I think it's a double standard of justice.
- 43:46Speaker 1: And I try to figure out why he did that 180.
- 43:50Speaker 16: Do you agree that now Margie Taylor Greene and Massey
- 43:54Speaker 16: are gone? Any chance... seeing the Epstein files by the
- 43:59Speaker 16: general public is now zero?
- 44:02Speaker 1: Yes, I do agree with that. Unfortunately, I do agree
- 44:06Speaker 1: with that, and I think any real debate on certain
- 44:09Speaker 1: foreign policies will be nil and void because of the
- 44:13Speaker 1: fear of the lobbyists.
- 44:16Speaker 16: Ron, I told you last week there's a CEO of
- 44:19Speaker 16: a large bank that says that He considers human capital
- 44:24Speaker 16: to be low-value capital. That's why he's going to fire
- 44:28Speaker 16: thousands of workers and replace them with the AI. Now,
- 44:33Speaker 16: in economics, the factors of production are land, labor, and capital.
- 44:38Speaker 16: And I told you, Ron, 36 years ago, I include
- 44:43Speaker 16: human brain power or human capital, which I believe is
- 44:47Speaker 16: by far the most factor of production of all. So
- 44:52Speaker 16: what these guys are saying... By the way, Larry Fink
- 44:56Speaker 16: gave a speech at the University of Arizona the other day,
- 45:00Speaker 16: which he was pushing AI, and he was roundly booed
- 45:06Speaker 16: by the graduates of the university.
- 45:07Speaker 2: I saw that, yeah.
- 45:08Speaker 16: You saw that? Yeah.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Okay.
- 45:10Speaker 16: Now, this is what they are saying, him and Lex
- 45:13Speaker 16: Wexner and all these AI guys like Larry Fink, that AI...
- 45:20Speaker 16: can replace human capital and human brain power. I'm not
- 45:25Speaker 16: sure if that's possible. I think you're always going to
- 45:28Speaker 16: need human brain power, but maybe they're correct. Maybe they
- 45:32Speaker 16: can replace me and you.
- 45:35Speaker 1: We shall see. Stocks rally back as rates and oil
- 45:38Speaker 1: fears ease. Dow jumps more than 600 points. All right, Frank,
- 45:42Speaker 1: appreciate it. NewsRadio 570, WKBN, you're on the air.
- 45:43Speaker 22: All right.
- 45:50Speaker 2: Hey, one time Bobby from Austintown called me a troublemaker.
- 45:56Speaker 1: Well, in that case, it wasn't name-calling. It was identifying you.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I think he also referred to you.
- 46:02Speaker 5: As a muckraker.
- 46:09Speaker 2: I was glad to hear that. I have a little
- 46:12Speaker 2: problem spelling it, but we'll straighten it out. Ron, you've
- 46:19Speaker 2: been talking to Frank for 104 years. So when did
- 46:24Speaker 2: you guys first start talking about the Epstein files or
- 46:27Speaker 2: Epstein in general, a pedophile, pedophile island, Lolita Express? When
- 46:32Speaker 2: did you guys start talking about this?
- 46:34Speaker 1: I have absolutely no clue. I mean, if you're asking
- 46:38Speaker 1: me what month and what day, I don't know.
- 46:42Speaker 3: How about a year?
- 46:43Speaker 2: How about a year?
- 46:46Speaker 1: I can't. At some point, it all blends together. We're
- 46:49Speaker 1: talking about Epstein. Obviously, we've been talking about that before
- 46:53Speaker 1: he killed himself. How long ago has that been? How
- 46:58Speaker 1: long has it been since the story's been out there?
- 47:02Speaker 1: I mean, it's been around for years.
- 47:05Speaker 5: Years.
- 47:06Speaker 2: So, like, 1997 is years ago? That's a lot of years.
- 47:13Speaker 1: I mean, it depends. If you want to go back
- 47:15Speaker 1: to the original case, I think out of Florida, when
- 47:19Speaker 1: the original case and then the case after that, I
- 47:21Speaker 1: think people became more familiar with it, I would say,
- 47:27Speaker 1: several years ago, a couple years ago on a timeline.
- 47:30Speaker 1: People became familiar with Epstein.
- 47:33Speaker 2: And the reason I bring it up is I don't
- 47:36Speaker 2: know what the hell was going on, but it was
- 47:38Speaker 2: the mid into the late 90s when I was hearing
- 47:44Speaker 2: about it going, what the hell's going on? It was
- 47:46Speaker 2: this Epstein character. But so the big cheese of the
- 47:51Speaker 2: FBI who might have been looking at this was Robert
- 47:55Speaker 2: Mueller at the time, right? You said that the case
- 48:00Speaker 2: was brought in Florida, right? Oh, who was the governor
- 48:04Speaker 2: of Florida at that time, Ron? Was that Jeb Bush?
- 48:08Speaker 2: Who was the president of the United States at that time?
- 48:11Speaker 2: It was George W. Bush. So I just crack up
- 48:17Speaker 2: when I hear the people talking, and I'm going, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 48:22Speaker 8: Where were you?
- 48:23Speaker 2: Where were you, Massey, in 2012? Oh, you weren't paying
- 48:29Speaker 2: attention to.
- 48:30Speaker 7: This, I guess.
- 48:31Speaker 2: You weren't standing up and shouting about it.
- 48:34Speaker 1: The first criminal case against Jeffrey Epstein began in March
- 48:38Speaker 1: 2005 when Palm Beach, Florida police launched an investigation after
- 48:42Speaker 1: a local couple reported that he molested their 14-year-old daughter
- 48:46Speaker 1: at his mansion. So it goes back to 2005. Well,
- 48:48Speaker 1: it goes back.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Further than that with Bill Clinton, but go ahead.
- 48:53Speaker 1: And listen, I'm just telling you what it says. All right.
- 48:55Speaker 1: I don't know when Bill Clinton was involved or, or
- 48:58Speaker 1: any of this nonsense. I can only tell you when
- 49:00Speaker 1: it became really noted, noticeable to the vast majority of
- 49:04Speaker 1: people as to what's going on. And that's been over
- 49:06Speaker 1: the last couple of years.
- 49:08Speaker 2: All right.
- 49:08Speaker 1: I mean, most people probably weren't aware of this stuff
- 49:11Speaker 1: at oh five or how he got this pass back
- 49:15Speaker 1: in the original case with the attorney general or the,
- 49:20Speaker 1: the local federal attorney.
- 49:22Speaker 2: No, the attorney general.
- 49:23Speaker 1: You're right. In the original case that happens, whatever year
- 49:29Speaker 1: that was.
- 49:31Speaker 2: So can you can you look up on your Google
- 49:33Speaker 2: machine when Donald Trump called the police about Epstein?
- 49:36Speaker 1: No, I can't, because that's always it's always some degree
- 49:41Speaker 1: of speculation. It's speculated that I have heard that he
- 49:44Speaker 1: was the one Epstein felt he was the one who
- 49:46Speaker 1: called the police on him. But I don't know. I mean,
- 49:49Speaker 1: I don't know what is we can debate it all, all,
- 49:53Speaker 1: all along. All I'm saying is release the damn files. Listen,
- 49:58Speaker 1: I don't know why there's any debate on this other
- 50:02Speaker 1: than I agree with the people that it's a double
- 50:04Speaker 1: standard of justice. I don't give a damn if Trump's
- 50:08Speaker 1: in them or not in them. It doesn't matter to me.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Release the files. I don't believe they will ever be
- 50:15Speaker 1: released and it will continue to be covered up. And
- 50:19Speaker 1: I think that's unfortunate because the masses that you want
- 50:22Speaker 1: to attack or the Marjorie Taylor Greene or the people
- 50:25Speaker 1: that are supporting that... And remember, Trump ran on that.
- 50:29Speaker 1: He ran on that issue. And these people supported that issue.
- 50:34Speaker 1: And in the blink of an eye, Trump changed his opinion.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Why did he change it? I don't know. Did they
- 50:41Speaker 1: have something on him? Was he worried about something coming out?
- 50:44Speaker 1: Why did he change all of a sudden? I don't know.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Should I believe Elon Musk who said he'll never expose
- 50:51Speaker 1: the Epstein files because he's in them? Remember when Elon
- 50:55Speaker 1: Musk said that? I don't know. Is that true or false?
- 50:57Speaker 1: I don't know. But you've got to sit back as
- 51:01Speaker 1: an American and say, there's a damn cover-up going on here.
- 51:04Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know where you want to go,
- 51:06Speaker 1: what year this, what year that, Massey this, Massey that.
- 51:09Speaker 1: I give Massey credit, Marjorie Taylor Greene credit, or any
- 51:12Speaker 1: of these other people that say, you ran on it,
- 51:15Speaker 1: you said you would put it all out there, Pam
- 51:17Speaker 1: Bondi said it was on her desk, and they reversed
- 51:21Speaker 1: themselves on it. So put the stuff out there. I
- 51:25Speaker 1: don't get it.
- 51:27Speaker 2: So a guy does something. So how much of the
- 51:30Speaker 2: Epstein files were released so far?
- 51:34Speaker 1: Not all of them. A lot of it, but not
- 51:36Speaker 1: all of it.
- 51:37Speaker 2: Okay, okay, so this guy, this one guy did something.
- 51:42Speaker 2: Marjorie Taylor Greene wants to parade around with the people,
- 51:45Speaker 2: not take them to the police station or take them
- 51:47Speaker 2: to a lawyer. Turns a parade around with them making
- 51:50Speaker 2: a show of it. Same thing with Massey.
- 51:53Speaker 1: You're attacking, you as a Republican or whatever, are attacking
- 51:57Speaker 1: people that say they want it all released. All right,
- 52:01Speaker 1: which it all should be released.
- 52:02Speaker 2: You did nothing about it. You did zero zilch about it.
- 52:06Speaker 2: This guy did something. Not enough. Probably more than half.
- 52:12Speaker 1: But not enough. What did he run on? Don't you
- 52:16Speaker 1: think you have the ability to say to yourself, why
- 52:18Speaker 1: the sudden reversal?
- 52:21Speaker 2: Well, and here's my deal. This is just me. I've
- 52:26Speaker 2: been hearing about it since 1997, okay? And none of
- 52:32Speaker 2: those people did a darn thing about it.
- 52:36Speaker 1: And what president ran on it? Did any of them
- 52:41Speaker 1: run about releasing the Epstein files? Trump, it was one
- 52:45Speaker 1: of the things he was running on. I mean, is
- 52:49Speaker 1: it wrong for people?
- 52:50Speaker 2: Because nobody has done anything about it.
- 52:53Speaker 1: And he hasn't done enough.
- 52:55Speaker 2: And he hasn't done enough. And it's just funny that, right,
- 52:59Speaker 2: we pick out one guy, the only man who did anything.
- 53:03Speaker 2: Because we're talking about the Epstein files. When were the
- 53:06Speaker 2: Epstein files, I don't know, put together? When did we
- 53:09Speaker 2: know we had the Epstein files? For Trump to say,
- 53:14Speaker 2: I'll release them, right? So it must have been, oh,
- 53:17Speaker 2: I don't know, before Trump was elected the second time,
- 53:20Speaker 2: would you say?
- 53:22Speaker 1: We're just going around in circles. I mean, this is ridiculous.
- 53:27Speaker 1: Did he do what he said he wanted to do?
- 53:30Speaker 2: All right.
- 53:32Speaker 1: I mean, we're just going in a holding pattern here.
- 53:35Speaker 1: He did not do what he said he wanted to do.
- 53:38Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 53:39Speaker 8: That's fine.
- 53:39Speaker 7: I accept that.
- 53:41Speaker 1: All right. And that is what the beef is with
- 53:43Speaker 1: the conservatives who say, you ran on this. Why the reversal? Hey,
- 53:48Speaker 1: Pam Bondi, why the reversal? All of a sudden, she's gone.
- 53:52Speaker 2: And that's fine. How about this? Stand by.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Stand by. We'll come back with more with Jake in
- 54:01Speaker 1: a minute. Hang in there.
- 54:03Speaker 9: Youngstown's news, weather, and talk station, 570 WKBN. All right,
- 54:09Speaker 9: back to it.
- 54:10Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKBN. Ron Ferb, you're on the air.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Go ahead. So it comes down to this. Listen. It
- 54:17Speaker 1: comes down to here's what he ran on and what
- 54:20Speaker 1: he stood for. And so release the damn files. You
- 54:24Speaker 1: understand there's an issue here. There are victims here. These
- 54:28Speaker 1: are children that were molested by these individuals. Whether it's
- 54:32Speaker 1: Bill Gates and Prince Andrew, I don't know. But we
- 54:36Speaker 1: know Gates got divorced. We know his wife cited that
- 54:40Speaker 1: as part of the reason or implied it was. He
- 54:44Speaker 1: claims he was with prostitutes. We know the situation with
- 54:49Speaker 1: Prince Andrew that's going on. We know that there's always
- 54:54Speaker 1: questions about Epstein's suicide that has taken place in the
- 54:59Speaker 1: pictures of Clinton. And I'm not saying because you were
- 55:04Speaker 1: by Epstein that that makes you guilty. Let's get to
- 55:09Speaker 1: the bottom of this and stop this double standard of justice.
- 55:13Speaker 1: And I don't think we will ever get to the
- 55:15Speaker 1: bottom of it. And that will disappoint a lot of
- 55:17Speaker 1: people who voted for Trump for that reason to stop
- 55:21Speaker 1: the deep state or whatever you want to call it
- 55:24Speaker 1: from covering this kind of stuff up. We all as
- 55:27Speaker 1: Americans should be offended that the intelligence community from whatever
- 55:31Speaker 1: country would engage in activities like this to try to
- 55:35Speaker 1: get dirt on somebody using children. That alone is disturbing
- 55:41Speaker 1: to me. But the fact is... We're not holding these
- 55:45Speaker 1: people accountable.
- 55:46Speaker 7: Why?
- 55:46Speaker 1: Because of their money and their influence? Well, I don't
- 55:49Speaker 1: know how to score that other than that's a double
- 55:51Speaker 1: standard of justice, and it's wrong. And so he ran
- 55:54Speaker 1: on that. I would like to see that released. Pam
- 55:56Speaker 1: Bondi said the thing she said, and none of that materialized,
- 56:00Speaker 1: and she's long gone now. So I don't think you're
- 56:03Speaker 1: ever going to see it. I don't think you will
- 56:05Speaker 1: ever get to the bottom of this. I don't know
- 56:08Speaker 1: that you'll ever see anybody actually prosecuted for it. for
- 56:12Speaker 1: crimes against children, and that is sad.
- 56:14Speaker 2: If they're going to call me to help out, I'll
- 56:17Speaker 2: be glad to help out.
- 56:18Speaker 1: That is sad to me. It is absolutely sad. So
- 56:22Speaker 1: why does a guy with these great political instincts do
- 56:25Speaker 1: a 180 on this where I was shocked to see
- 56:27Speaker 1: him when he's championed all this, and all of a sudden,
- 56:30Speaker 1: in the blink of an eye, he says to that reporter, oh,
- 56:32Speaker 1: that's old news. You still dwelling on that? Like, all
- 56:34Speaker 1: of a sudden, we should stop thinking because the almighty
- 56:37Speaker 1: Trump said something and only think what he thinks. He's
- 56:42Speaker 1: getting to the point where if you don't agree with
- 56:44Speaker 1: him on everything, if you actually have an opinion that's
- 56:48Speaker 1: different than his, you're scum. If you don't agree on
- 56:52Speaker 1: everything he does, and I don't go along with that
- 56:55Speaker 1: when it was the Democrats and Biden, and I won't
- 56:58Speaker 1: go along with it with the Republicans. If you don't
- 57:01Speaker 1: have the ability as a representative to think about your
- 57:03Speaker 1: district and think about where you stand on these issues,
- 57:07Speaker 1: and if you don't agree with the president, you should
- 57:09Speaker 1: disagree with him and stand your ground.
- 57:12Speaker 2: So his premier legislation, the big, beautiful bill, he calls
- 57:17Speaker 2: Massey and says, dude, need your vote on this, because
- 57:20Speaker 2: otherwise the tax breaks and stuff will sunset if we
- 57:23Speaker 2: don't get enough votes. And he says, go pound salt.
- 57:26Speaker 2: And we look back to the election.
- 57:29Speaker 5: So is it a bigger issue.
- 57:30Speaker 2: With the border or Epstein?
- 57:35Speaker 7: During the election.
- 57:36Speaker 1: Well, no, you look back at what Massey said. He said,
- 57:39Speaker 1: I'm not going to support the Big Beautiful Bill because
- 57:42Speaker 1: of the massive government spending and the debt deficit. Remember,
- 57:46Speaker 1: you had the conservative coalition. That was overwhelmingly opposed to
- 57:51Speaker 1: it because it wasn't cutting government spending. We're kicking the
- 57:53Speaker 1: can down the road again.
- 57:56Speaker 2: Enough. Add in enough. It wasn't cutting spending enough. And
- 57:59Speaker 2: I agree.
- 58:00Speaker 1: So that's why Massey didn't support it. So we want
- 58:02Speaker 1: to hang him out as a result of it? We
- 58:05Speaker 1: want to say..
- 58:06Speaker 7: You've got to play ball.
- 58:08Speaker 2: That's why Rand Paul's father, Ron.
- 58:11Speaker 1: Paul, had the chance.
- 58:12Speaker 2: To be a Republican so he could be.
- 58:14Speaker 1: In the game. All right, so go ahead and make
- 58:19Speaker 1: your point, and then I'll move along.
- 58:22Speaker 2: I'm just asking you to understand that I was there, whatever,
- 58:27Speaker 2: 15 years before this all happened and people started talking
- 58:32Speaker 2: about it again. I was already there, and nobody did anything.
- 58:36Speaker 2: All the establishment, the communist James Comey, FBI, Robert Mueller,
- 58:42Speaker 2: who's dead now, And James Brennan, the other communists, they
- 58:47Speaker 2: did nothing about it. And along with Mitt Romney, all
- 58:51Speaker 2: the loudmouth people who think they are something. And you're
- 58:56Speaker 2: always yelling about Amy Acton, and I would too, because
- 58:59Speaker 2: she's a loser. But you say that she quit. What
- 59:02Speaker 2: did MTG do?
- 59:04Speaker 7: Didn't she quit?
- 59:05Speaker 1: Yes, and did I criticize her for it?
- 59:08Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 59:10Speaker 1: I said she should fill out her term and then
- 59:15Speaker 1: let somebody else run for it. Now, she claims she
- 59:18Speaker 1: quit because she was concerned about her... And I also
- 59:22Speaker 1: understand that as well, but I would have completed my
- 59:26Speaker 1: term if I was her.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Sure, but before she quit, she made the top three
- 59:32Speaker 2: list in the, what's it called, the website where you
- 59:35Speaker 2: look at how much money they made in the stock market. Yeah,
- 59:38Speaker 2: her and Dan Crenshaw were in the top three with
- 59:41Speaker 2: Nancy Pelosi. It just bothers me.
- 59:45Speaker 3: A little bit.
- 59:45Speaker 2: Like, okay, you're this superhero of the downtrodden, but you're
- 59:52Speaker 2: kind of making money on the side there, I guess.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Okay, so what do you want to do?
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: I'm just saying, these people give you their character, and
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: some people aren't accepting it. You know, Tucker Carlson with
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: all his insane stuff about demons and how he hates
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Christians more than anybody and all the stuff that he
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: says and he lies and the stupid New York Times
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: has to remind him that he lies and play it
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: for him right in front of his face because he's lying.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: I don't get why we're following these people. And it's okay.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: I appreciate that Trump did something about the Epstein files,
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: and other people don't appreciate that he did something, and
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: no one else did anything. Nobody else did anything except grandstand.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: And the grandstand is 20 years too late.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: That's all. Hey, Ron, I'll say like Emanuel says, I'll
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: say like J.J. says, and J.J., God dang it, it's
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: opening a can of worms, not a bag of worms, J.J.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: All right, you're on the air.
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: Hello?
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:01:13Speaker 23: Hey, Ted called me today, and he said that you
- 1:01:20Speaker 23: might be suffering from Netanyahu derangement syndrome.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: I see.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Is there a cure?
- 1:01:30Speaker 23: Interesting concept, right?
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Is there a cure?
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: For Fort Lauderdale, Frank, I don't know.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: But, you.
- 1:01:39Speaker 23: Know, him and the Zionist Jews, I hear him say
- 1:01:44Speaker 23: that one more time. Yeah, he's got a problem with
- 1:01:49Speaker 23: the Jews. But anyhow, getting back to Ted. He was
- 1:01:55Speaker 23: talking about the Tea Party.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: You there?
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm listening.
- 1:02:03Speaker 12: Okay.
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:02:05Speaker 23: Remember, I think it was a Democrat you voted for, Obama.
- 1:02:09Speaker 23: You know, he set the government out to destroy the
- 1:02:13Speaker 23: Tea Party.
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: Remember that? Mm-hmm.
- 1:02:15Speaker 23: Nobody listens to that, right?
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: I remember it.
- 1:02:22Speaker 23: Yeah, but how many times do you hear about it anymore?
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Well, you know, time moves on. I mean, for God's sakes,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I mean, it's like time does march on from when
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Obama was there. I mean, what are we supposed to
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: still talk about it? I mentioned it's today. I mean,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I mentioned when they sick the IRS after reporters or
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: did them on a tea party. I mean, I remember it.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: I'm not going to talk about it every day. It
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: was back when Obama was president. What do you want
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: me to do?
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I just..
- 1:02:52Speaker 23: These liberals bring all this stuff up from the past,
- 1:02:55Speaker 23: but they never mention any of this. But Trump, you know,
- 1:02:59Speaker 23: they're talking about maybe he's making deals for his family.
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Did you hear about that? Yes.
- 1:03:07Speaker 23: Well, maybe he's just trying to make a point. You know, like,
- 1:03:11Speaker 23: if they could do it, I could do it, too.
- 1:03:13Speaker 23: So he'll just make all these deals for his family,
- 1:03:16Speaker 23: all right? And they'll get rich, and then when.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: He leaves office..
- 1:03:21Speaker 23: He'll follow the precedent that Joe Biden, and he'll just
- 1:03:27Speaker 23: pardon his whole entire.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Family, all his friends, 30 years. You know what?
- 1:03:32Speaker 23: He did it, so why can't he?
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Well, there's always that possibility.
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: I mean, it's a possibility. You're just going to have
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: to wait and see.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: I mean, they, you know.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Let me put it this way to you. I don't
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: support if Trump's kids are making a bunch of money
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: because of who their father is any more than I
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: supported it with Hunter Biden making a bunch of money
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: because of who his father is. So it doesn't justify
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: in my mind. I don't care if it's a Democrat
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: or Republican. It doesn't make one doesn't make the other right.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: So if you were opposed to it when it was
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Hunter Biden, if Trump's kids are making money, you should
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: be opposed to it in that scenario as well. You
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: just can't say, well, it's my team now, so all
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: of this stuff is okay. I mean, as I started,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: am I concerned about the fact that, if I bring
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: it up again, that we're this deal with Trump's IRS settlements?
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I get it. I don't have a problem with him saying, okay,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: we're going to put together this fund for people that are,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: let's see, they put the nine-page agreements together. DOJ released
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: Monday setting up a $ 1. 8 billion fund to compensate victims
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: of alleged weaponization of law enforcement. I don't have a
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: problem with that. I think that there are many people
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: that were the victims of this for political purposes, including
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: people on January 6th that were victims of this for
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: political purposes. I think we've all witnessed that. So I
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: think if there's a fund to compensate people for that,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: I don't have a problem with it. The only problem
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: I have in this agreement is where it says, and
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: keep in mind, the Attorney General is Trump's former lawyer.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: So the only problem I have in this agreement includes
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: a sweeping release under which the IRS is forever barred
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: and precluded from pursuing examinations of Trump, related or affiliated individuals,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: that means his family, and related trust in businesses. So basically...
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: the IRS is forever barred and precluded from pursuing examinations
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: of Trump's tax returns ever or his family members ever
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: or his trust or his businesses ever. That I find bizarre. Now,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I mean, I think that that's really odd. Would I
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: say that's okay if Joe Biden did that?
- 1:06:07Speaker 24: No.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: I would say, well, wait a minute. Why are you
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: and your whole family exempt from this? I wouldn't approve
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: of that if Biden did that for his whole family.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: So am I supposed to say that's okay because it's
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Trump and I voted for Trump and I'm... No, I'm
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: not going to do that.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Don't get me wrong.
- 1:06:28Speaker 23: I feel the same way. I don't think either party
- 1:06:31Speaker 23: should do it. But if he gets, if he does,
- 1:06:35Speaker 23: you know, do it, then they try to say something.
- 1:06:41Speaker 11: At least he'll expose the.
- 1:06:43Speaker 23: Fact Joe Biden did it, so why shouldn't he? He'll
- 1:06:47Speaker 23: bring the problem to light. I think he's just trying
- 1:06:51Speaker 23: to solve a problem while getting his family rich, possibly. No,
- 1:06:57Speaker 23: I think, you know, what are they going to say? Oh, yeah,
- 1:07:02Speaker 23: Joe Biden didn't do any of this. He didn't pardon
- 1:07:04Speaker 23: his kids or anything after he said he wouldn't, you know.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I get what you're saying, but it doesn't make it right.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I'm not going to be a damn hypocrite and criticize
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: it when Biden and the Democrats did it and say
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: it's okay when the Republicans do it.
- 1:07:20Speaker 17: I mean, I'm.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: The first guy that says when the Democrats are there
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: that once again, they're going to walk in lockstep. They're
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: going to check their brain at the door. Well, it
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: was my biggest criticism of Tim Ryan. He stopped representing
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: his community. He stopped being a, he started being a politician.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Whatever Nancy Pelosi said is what they did. Do you
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: think that was admirable? He got so out of touch.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: He became such a politician and so much with the party.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: He failed to represent his district. Well, I don't think
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: we should be punishing people that are in our party
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: that disagree with the president on a war, that disagree
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: with the president on Epstein, that disagree with the president
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: on foreign aid. I think that's a discussion worth having
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: and that we should be able to disagree on that.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: It doesn't make you less of a Republican or that
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: we should run you out of the party.
- 1:08:16Speaker 23: Do you think that they should impeach a president more
- 1:08:20Speaker 23: than once and get him on five criminal charges?
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: No, I do not. But if that's what the Democrats do,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: that's what they do. But I wouldn't support it either.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: If the Republicans were doing that either. I mean, if
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: you're asking me, should we do that because they do that?
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Does that make it right? Well, if it irritates me
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: when they do that, why should I compromise myself and say, well,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: it's okay now. Let's just lower our standards. Is that
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: what you want? Do I want a congressman that becomes
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: nothing but a pawn for whatever the Republican Party tells
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: him to support? That he gets elected, but he's not
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: making decisions using his own brain power. He only does
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: what the Republicans tell him to do. Or what Trump
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: tells him to do. I mean, why do I like Fetterman?
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Because Fetterman doesn't always go along with his party. Well,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I think that's okay for Republicans to be that way, too.
- 1:09:21Speaker 23: Well, you were bringing up, you were talking about January 6th,
- 1:09:24Speaker 23: you know, this whole thing where, you know, Trump is
- 1:09:30Speaker 23: basically compensating people who had to get lawyers and everything.
- 1:09:35Speaker 23: They could find a grandma halfway across the country, but
- 1:09:39Speaker 23: they couldn't find who had the cocaine in the White
- 1:09:42Speaker 23: House under Joe Biden.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: I mean, come on.
- 1:09:45Speaker 23: There's obvious corruption going on here, and the deep state
- 1:09:48Speaker 23: went after anything that anybody that disagreed with them, and
- 1:09:53Speaker 23: I don't think that's right.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: I agree.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: I'm in total agreement with you. I don't think it's
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: right to seek the IRS on Democrats or Republicans.
- 1:10:05Speaker 24: Period.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: I don't think that's what these agencies are for. I
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: am at the point where, to show you how, I
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: always thought, if I go back years ago, it seemed
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: to me it didn't matter what a judge was, what party,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Democrat or Republican, that they pretty well ruled on the
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: law and what was in front of them. Somewhere along
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: the line in my lifetime, that changed. Somewhere, somehow, that changed.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: to where all of a sudden politics became involved. I
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: think if you go in front of a judge, you
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: should be judged. It shouldn't matter if you're a Democrat
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: or Republican or if that judge is Democrat or Republican.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: That should have nothing to do with the case that's
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: presented to them. It has to do with justice. But anymore,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: that is what's happening now. And I find that deeply disturbing.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: I don't support it. I absolutely don't support it. And
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: am I supposed to now? If the Republicans do it,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: am I supposed to say, well, now that's okay because
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: the Republicans are doing it? No.
- 1:11:17Speaker 23: You have to find people that will interpret the Constitution
- 1:11:23Speaker 23: and all the amendments right down to the wire, you know?
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: I mean, I think that this woman that Biden put
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: on the Supreme Court is a ding-a-ling.
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: And I think she's an absolute ding-a-ling. But do I
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: support Biden saying, well, I've got to put a woman
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: on and it's got to be a woman, it's got
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: to be a black female? No, I think that's racist.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: You've eliminated everybody else from consideration because she has to
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: be a black female. And when you look at it,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: you're saying this is a great legal mind that belongs
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: on the Supreme Court? The answer to that is absolutely not.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: I wouldn't support that anymore if the Republicans would do
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: something like that. Find somebody that's going to come in
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: and view it from a constitutional standpoint, not a political
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: standpoint of I'm a liberal or a conservative. You're there
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: to interpret the law and the Constitution. That's all I'm
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: looking for. That's all I want.
- 1:12:16Speaker 23: So this black woman he appointed to the court, how
- 1:12:20Speaker 23: did she get an identification? Can she even vote? And
- 1:12:24Speaker 23: she's on the court. I mean, what's this Democratic Party doing?
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Well, that's a shining example. It's a shining example. Am
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: I supposed to sit back when the stock market was
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: soaring and Main Street was hurting and we criticized it
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: under Biden, high gas prices and all this kind of stuff?
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: It's not okay to criticize it under Trump. We're all
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: supposed to say, oh, this is great, paying $ 4. 75 a gallon.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: High energy prices are okay. I mean, that's what my
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: problem is with people is, see, some of these Trump supporters,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: and I find them to be bizarre. They have checked
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: their brain at the damn door. They stop thinking. They
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: criticize Biden when we had high fuel prices and affordability issues,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: and they made excuses for it. Well, we're right back
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: with those problems, and you're hearing excuses again. Well, that
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: doesn't ease the pain that the citizens of our country
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: are suffering as a result of it. So am I
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: supposed to say, well, high gas prices are okay because
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: Trump decides he wants to go after Iran? I'll be
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: the first guy to say I was not staying up
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: at night worrying about Iran and a nuclear weapon. And
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: I think Trump got into a mess. And it's taken
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: much longer than he thought it would. And he's in
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: a quagmire. And he's going to have to try to
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: figure out what to do now and how to get
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: out of this.
- 1:14:02Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:14:02Speaker 23: But how long has Trump been president? Like a year
- 1:14:05Speaker 23: and a half? I mean, just thinking he shut down
- 1:14:07Speaker 23: the border immediately.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: I understand all that. I'm not talking about that. I
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: don't have a problem with that. I'm not against Trump.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: I'm against some of the stuff that Trump has done.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: I mean, don't you get it? I mean, you know,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: I can hash the border. And frankly, to be blunt
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: with you, I think he should be doing more on
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: the border. I don't think he's pursuing it as aggressively
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: as he should be right now. I think you've seen
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: it curtail since Minnesota. So, yeah, he was getting the
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: border shut, but he needs to get these people out
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: of the country. But you don't see that aggressively happening
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: anymore now, do you? What happened to that?
- 1:14:47Speaker 23: He's got so much on the table. Just like this
- 1:14:50Speaker 23: ballroom thing, everybody's complaining. He's probably not even going to
- 1:14:53Speaker 23: enjoy it.
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: If you look back at.
- 1:14:58Speaker 5: The last meeting.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: Stand by. Just stand by. Back with him and more
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: in a minute. Stay tuned. Radio 570 WKBN. This is
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: Radio 570 WKBN. And Ron Furb on. Where do we go? Okay,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: go ahead with what you were saying.
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: With my rant. All right.
- 1:15:17Speaker 8: How about if I switch it up?
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: No, but do you understand what I'm saying? You can't have–
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: what I'm seeing is the people that were criticizing stuff
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: under Biden, all of a sudden Trump gets a pass
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: on it because they're Republicans or Trump. Well, that isn't–
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: you're checking your brain at the door. That is ridiculous.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: If you're critical of it, I'm sitting here, I believe
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: in America first. I believe affordability is a major factor
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: right now in this economy. And I think high gas
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: prices do matter. And I think the economy would be
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: far better off and Americans would be far better off
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: if he never got involved in Iran. And I think
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: Iran was a huge mistake. And I think he's got
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: a difficult situation on how to get out of it.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: And what to do. Because I think as this drags on,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: it just gets worse.
- 1:16:17Speaker 23: The jury is still out on that for me. I
- 1:16:20Speaker 23: think he will find a way to resolve it and
- 1:16:23Speaker 23: stay safe. I truly believe that. I mean, he's pretty smart.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: But, hey.
- 1:16:31Speaker 23: My wife told me the other day, she goes, when
- 1:16:33Speaker 23: did you get done? And I told her, like, three
- 1:16:34Speaker 23: different things.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: And she goes, wow.
- 1:16:36Speaker 23: I said, well, you know, I set my goals high
- 1:16:40Speaker 23: every day. If you set, like, a goal, you know,
- 1:16:42Speaker 23: like doing ten things, you get three done, you know,
- 1:16:45Speaker 23: you're doing good. So, yeah, you set your goals high,
- 1:16:50Speaker 23: but your expectations low. What do you think about that?
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: I think it's good because when you call, I always
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: have low expectations.
- 1:16:59Speaker 23: And then you're thinking, when's he going to go, right?
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: Well, you've got to go now, I know.
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: I think so.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: All right, you're on the air.
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: Good afternoon, sir.
- 1:17:10Speaker 5: Yes, sir.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: I think the biggest takeaway that I have from what
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: happened with Massey last night is that if you're going
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: to go after the king, you better take him out.
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: Because if not, the king's going to come after you.
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: And he's probably going to win because he's got more power,
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: more clout, more tools in his arsenal than you do.
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: And I think the problem is when you have a
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: Congress that is so closely divided to the point where
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: you only, what do the Republicans have, three or four
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: or five seat margin at most. So when you've got
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: a couple people that just decide to vote their conscience,
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: and I agree with you. I mean, I like a
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: lot of what Massey stands for. And I applaud him
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: for that. However, when it's time for the rubber to
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: hit the road and you've got to get stuff passed
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: or not passed, and you've got people that are going
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: to vote their conscience and stand on principle and obstruct
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: what you're trying to get done legislatively, don't be surprised
- 1:18:11Speaker 4: when they come and take you out. And I think
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: that's what you saw last night.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: What you saw last night was a guy that's never debated,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: a challenger who never would debate the incumbents. You saw
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: a stealth Trojan candidate. that you really don't know what
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: he believes in and what he stands for, other than
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: whatever Trump tells him. That's what was voted in last night.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: And is that what you want representing you?
- 1:18:42Speaker 4: I'm not saying whether I want it or not. I'm
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: just saying that when the rubber hits the road and
- 1:18:46Speaker 4: a party has to get stuff passed legislatively, if there
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: were 30 or 40, if the Republicans had a much
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: larger margin, let's say the margin was a 20-seat margin,
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: you could afford to have the Rand Pauls and the Massys,
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: the Marjorie Taylor Greens that sit there and say, I'm
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: standing on principle. I'm not going to vote for this
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: because the legislation is still going to pass. But when
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: you've got just a couple votes and you've only got
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: a couple people that are holding everything up, your legislative agenda.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Stand by, stand by. Back with Richard Pharmacist. More of
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: your calls. We're here tonight till 6. Stay tuned.
- 1:19:27Speaker 25: From ABC News, I'm Lindsay Davis, anchor of Prime, streaming
- 1:19:31Speaker 25: weeknights on ABC News Live. The Justice Department announcing charges
- 1:19:35Speaker 25: including murder against ex-Cuban dictator Raul Castro and several others
- 1:19:39Speaker 25: related to Cuba shooting down two relief planes in the
- 1:19:43Speaker 25: 1990s that killed three American pilots, acting Attorney General Todd
- 1:19:46Speaker 25: Blanch in Miami.
- 1:19:48Speaker 20: We expect that he will show up here by his
- 1:19:52Speaker 20: own will or by another way.
- 1:19:54Speaker 25: So what's next? ABC's Catherine Foulders.
- 1:19:56Speaker 26: The question is, do.
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: They really go in?
- 1:19:57Speaker 23: Does the U.S.
- 1:19:58Speaker 27: Really go into Cuba and do some... operation like they
- 1:20:02Speaker 27: did with Maduro, especially to capture a 94-year-old former leader.
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: So that's part number one.
- 1:20:08Speaker 27: And if he were to even stand trial, of course,
- 1:20:10Speaker 27: there are questions over his health. Also, it could take
- 1:20:13Speaker 27: years to get this before a jury, given that these
- 1:20:16Speaker 27: incidents were 30 years ago.
- 1:20:18Speaker 25: Two police officers who defended the Capitol in the January 6,
- 1:20:22Speaker 25: 2021 attack by Trump supporters are suing to stop creation
- 1:20:25Speaker 25: of the nearly $ 2 billion fund that could potentially compensate
- 1:20:28Speaker 25: rioters from that day. and others claiming harm by the government.
- 1:20:32Speaker 25: ABC's Peter Haralambos.
- 1:20:33Speaker 13: The officers alleged the creation of the fund violated federal
- 1:20:36Speaker 13: law and the prohibition in the 14th Amendment, barring the
- 1:20:39Speaker 13: government from funding insurrections.
- 1:20:41Speaker 25: Former Trump administration official Michael Caputo says he is requesting
- 1:20:45Speaker 25: $ 2. 7 million from the fund, claiming that he was targeted
- 1:20:48Speaker 25: in the Russia investigation. Lawyers for former FBI Director James
- 1:20:51Speaker 25: Comey are asking to delay his July criminal trial by
- 1:20:54Speaker 25: at least three months. Prosecutors are not opposing it. Comey's
- 1:20:57Speaker 25: accused of threatening to kill President Trump by posting a
- 1:21:00Speaker 25: photo of seashells arranged in the numbers 8647. An update
- 1:21:04Speaker 25: on the American missionary doctor who was working in Congo
- 1:21:07Speaker 25: and Africa and tested positive for the Ebola virus, Dr.
- 1:21:11Speaker 25: Satish Pailai with the CDC.
- 1:21:13Speaker 6: The American has landed in Germany and is at the
- 1:21:17Speaker 6: hospital and in stable condition.
- 1:21:19Speaker 25: That's the hospital at a U.S. airbase in Germany. You're
- 1:21:22Speaker 25: listening to ABC News.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: All right, let me go back with Rich. All right, Rich,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I just think it's a case of, you know,
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: it's sort of the empire strikes back. I mean, you
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: went against the powers that be, and the powers that be.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: So why don't we just get rid of everybody? Rand
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: Paul's got to go next. So anybody that doesn't walk
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: in lockstep with whatever Trump tells them is just a
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: bad Republican and should be run out of office. Stop thinking.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: Just do what you're told. The same criticism I say
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: that I had about Tim Ryan becoming a politician, a
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: lapdog for Nancy Pelosi, I'm supposed to now say it's
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: okay for Republicans to do that? I refuse to do that.
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: Imagine you're the boss of a company.
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: This is not.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: This is politics. But it's the same thing. No, he's
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: the president. It's a check and balance system. That person
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: is voted to represent their constituents in their district.
- 1:22:23Speaker 7: It is.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: Their bosses are their voters.
- 1:22:27Speaker 4: That person did that. And last night, the district said,
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: you're not doing what we want you to do, so
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: we're trying a different guy.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: Did it, or did $ 10 million outside dollars influence it?
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: If it was so much a district that made that decision,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: why was it the most expensive congressional race ever, ever
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: spent on? By outside money. Outside money.
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: Dollars don't vote. People vote.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Dollars make a big difference. So you can spend all
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: the money you want.
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: Kamala Harris outspent Trump probably two to one.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: I don't know about that. Trump had a ton of money.
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: I do know about that. She went through over a
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: billion dollars in three months. Trump spent, I think, $ 600,
- 1:23:10Speaker 4: $ 700 million. It wasn't even close. And she got trounced.
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: Money can influence elections. Money can help you win. But
- 1:23:19Speaker 4: it's not a guarantee that you're going to do it.
- 1:23:21Speaker 4: So money is separate from the voters.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: Well, let me put it this way. It makes a
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: hell of a lot of difference. If you don't think
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: money has a big influence in campaigns, you're fooling yourself.
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: It absolutely can. But it also comes down to the candidate.
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: And if you're in a district that, I think that
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: district voted for Trump, it was something like, he carried
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: that district by like 75% or something like that. It's
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: a hugely mega district. So if that's the case, if
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: I'm the representative from a district that voted for Trump 85%
- 1:23:55Speaker 4: of the time, and I want to keep my job,
- 1:23:58Speaker 4: I'm probably going to do what Trump tells me. Now,
- 1:24:01Speaker 4: if I want to vote my conscience and be like
- 1:24:04Speaker 4: Massey was, then that's fine. But then don't be surprised
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: when your constituents fire you. And that's what you saw
- 1:24:11Speaker 4: last night.
- 1:24:12Speaker 5: And like I said, it's no different.
- 1:24:14Speaker 4: Trump is a business guy. He comes from the business world.
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: He looks at it as a business proposition.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: But that isn't how the country works.
- 1:24:22Speaker 4: He's not a CEO.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: How we work in the private sector is not how
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: they work in the government. It is not.
- 1:24:32Speaker 7: Trump isn't a government guy.
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: He's a private sector guy.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. We don't change how the government works
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: because of him. He's got to learn to operate within
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: the system.
- 1:24:45Speaker 4: He didn't change how the government works. All he did
- 1:24:48Speaker 4: was influence the outcome. The government, the system functions flawlessly.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: I tell you what, all of these people should stop
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: thinking and just do what Trump says. They shouldn't question
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: the war. They shouldn't question foreign aid. And they shouldn't
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: question the Epstein files because they could lose their job
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: because that's what he lost his job over. So you're saying,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: by God, he should have went along with all that stuff,
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: even though he disagreed with it. That's what you're telling
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: him he should have done to keep his job. And
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: he had the honor enough to say, I'm not about
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: to do that. And you would be bitching about the
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: same thing when Tim Ryan did it with Nancy Pelosi.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: He's just trying.
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: To keep his job.
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: All I'm saying is, I'm not saying I like the outcome,
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: because I think the outcome is going to kill him
- 1:25:33Speaker 4: in November. And the reason I say that is, my
- 1:25:35Speaker 4: young kids last night were besides themselves. I mean, we
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: were texting back and forth for two hours last night.
- 1:25:42Speaker 4: They're just not going to vote in November.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Well, that's just stupid.
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: Well, but you're saying what happened last night is stupid.
- 1:25:51Speaker 4: And in both instances.
- 1:25:53Speaker 7: You're right.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: What I'm saying to you last night is... Money makes
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: a huge difference. There's a reason why the congressional race
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: in Kentucky was the most expensive ever that brought in
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: $ 10 million basically from a special interest country to try
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: to derail a guy.
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: It can.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: No, it didn't make a difference because you can, listen,
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: you can run negative ads that aren't true. You can,
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: it's very effective. Advertising works. 99% of the time it works.
- 1:26:26Speaker 4: Except with Donald Trump. It didn't work in 2016 when
- 1:26:29Speaker 4: Hillary beat him because she outspent him. She way outspent him.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: Hang on a minute. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. Wait,
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: I didn't mean it. Are you there? I lost him.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: Call me back, Rich. G2, hello.
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: Good evening, Ron.
- 1:26:41Speaker 7: How are you?
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: Trying to make sense of all of this.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: Well, it's going to be hard because emotions are high
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: and information is low. And, you know, I did catch
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: some of what you and Rich were just talking about.
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: I understand his point that he thinks, like, the voters
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: rose up. But, of course, we know that's not actually
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: what happened. For example, if you look at what Ed
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: Gowrain said, he said Thomas Massey was one of the...
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: was the only Republican who voted against the Save America Act. Now,
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: that was a lie. Gowrain knew it was a lie.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: But people believed it to be true and voted on it.
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: So $ 30 million... of intimidation, of indoctrination almost, right, of
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: conditioning and $ 30 million of pushing this guy who's going
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: to be a terrible representative. Nobody ever heard of a
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: few weeks ago. Now, this wasn't the people rising up.
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: The people were beaten over the head with a carefully
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: crafted advertising campaign that was huge amounts of money, and
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: it worked. But you can't say that the people that
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: rose up said, I'm really angry that Thomas Massey was
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: working against the kill switch. I wanted the kill switch.
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: I'm telling you right now, there's a problem with how
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: we view what it means to vote with or against Republicans.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: If you think voting with Republicans is voting for the
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: FISA bill for warrantless searches, I'm telling you that's just
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: voting with the cabal. Now, if you look at the
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: Freedom Caucus, they stand up against FISA 702. they can
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: get a warrant if you want to search americans uh...
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: information get a warrant if you vote against that you're
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: going to get republicans well if i'm a republican that
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: these entrenched washington operatives or at the republican voter the
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: people in the street and i think they care about
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: i would argue that most of the people people who
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: went to vote, because it was a much bigger election
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: turnout than ever before, most people who went to vote
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: had no idea what the truth was. Now, Massey's turnout
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: was about 20% higher. He increased his votes by 20%
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: and still lost. That's only happened in 2020 with Donald Trump.
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: How did that happen? They got his opponent, the votes
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: against Massey for the other candidate, were up 357% compared
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: to the last time he was in a challenged race.
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: That's not normal. That's not organic. That's manipulation. And yet
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: $ 30 million coming in from outside sources doesn't actually facilitate
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: effective elections. It disrupts those elections. It overwhelms. I can
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: tell you of another situation. We'll go into it. where
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: the funding was grossly mismatched, a carefully planned ad campaign
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: delivered completely false information to voters who I spoke to
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: who voted against their own interests, knowing what they were doing.
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: You can fool the voters. They aren't that informed. Now,
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: in this case, I've spent a huge amount of time
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: over the last few days talking to people about this,
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: texting with people about this, met with some people today
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: and went through it. There's a range of reactions to this.
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: Most of the people who are really excited watch a
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: lot of Fox News. They are deeply involved in Israel.
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: They are wildly supportive of Israel. It's sort of the
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: Israel first crowd. So they're excited because they got what
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: they wanted. They got Israel first. But it's funny. They
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: tend to ignore the $ 30 million and ignore the Israeli connection.
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: and focus on all kinds of stuff that isn't real. Like, Matt,
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: he didn't vote with Republicans. Now, in the first term,
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: this voting along party lines, he was 91%. This time,
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: he was 77%. Still a very high ratio. But in
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: voting on the critical issues that Republican voters care about,
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: he was the highest rated, I think he was actually
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: the highest rated member in Congress. And he had to go. So,
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: Rich made the point a moment ago that his children
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: were upset about this. I could tell you 18 to
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: 39s are out. I went through the numbers with you
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: on the air yesterday. 18 to 39s are out. This
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: is going to have a massive impact. This was a
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: major fracture, an additional fracture in the coalition we need
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: to maintain the course this country was supposed to be on.
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: So the devastating impact of this election is going to
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: be felt for a long time. And when November comes...
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: If Trump hasn't fixed this, fixed the war, gotten gas
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: prices back, and gotten us back on track to execute
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: the American agenda, and distanced himself from this feeling that
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: he's representing Israel, that doesn't make the anti-Semitic. The guy
- 1:31:36Speaker 2: came out today and said, I got a 99% rating
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: in Israel. He's got a 36%, 34% rating here. He's
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: more popular in Israel because he's serving Israel's interest in
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: the eyes of Israelis and in the eyes of Americans.
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: He's got to fix all of this, and he's got
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: to do it by about mid-July. It is a very
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: heavy lift. So I think this was a bad decision
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: by Trump. I think it was a terrible thing to
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: watch a foreign government do this. I think that when
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: these voters realize what they did, it's going to be
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: too late, so it won't matter. Gowrain is not a
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: guy that could have won that district. And I think
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: we're going to pay a heavy price for this. But again,
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: I'm talking to really smart people who believe that, you know,
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: you've got to just trust Trump. He's the commander. He's
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: the guy we picked. He's the only guy we have.
- 1:32:25Speaker 7: Trust Trump.
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: He knows what we don't know. I just don't buy it.
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: And again, the issues that Matthew was working on beyond Epstein,
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: which was one of the critical factors, beyond foreign aid,
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: which he's resisted not just for these guys but for everybody,
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: and beyond turning down these continued resolutions and so on,
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: the things he was on, like this idea that the
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: government's going to force us to buy cars that surveil us.
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: He was opposed to that. Well, that's not very popular
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: in certain circles, and those circles have a lot of money.
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: So I don't think people fully have processed this. Now,
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: there were some good wins in Georgia. There were some
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: good wins in other places. But I think this is
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: going to have a very, very significant impact in November,
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: unless Trump pulls a giant golden rabbit out of a hat.
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: Okay. Are you there? I mean, this idea that all
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: this money that was spent didn't influence the outcome of this,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: why do you think they spent all that money?
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: Right, because it was a sure thing Matthew was going
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: to win.
- 1:33:34Speaker 25: Yeah.
- 1:33:35Speaker 2: And they knew it. I mean, there was zero chance
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: he was going to lose this thing. But if you
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: look at age-adjusted polling... He was going to win with
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: the people that are 18 to 39, up to 44,
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: and so on, these younger categories. So they spent another
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: several million dollars in a text campaign to get voters
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: 62 and over, the Fox boomers, to get the Fox
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: boomers out because they're the least informed. They know what
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: Fox says. So, I mean, that's just the truth. I mean,
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: you know, Fox is extraordinarily pro-Israel. You could ask Mark Levin.
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: And Fox is not getting into these issues anymore. that
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: Matthew was working on that nobody seems to know about.
- 1:34:18Speaker 2: You know, where he was aligned, by the way, with
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: the Freedom Caucus. Now, if you say, you know, the
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: Republican Party should represent its voters, what it could easily
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: do is drop its, this silly corrupt agenda it has,
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: switch to the America First agenda, and just follow the
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: Freedom Caucus. Just do it this way. They'll get it done.
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: They'll think out. The Freedom Caucus can point the way.
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: They won't. And the reaction to this Paxton thing was fascinating.
- 1:34:52Speaker 2: So as it becomes clear that Cornyn is going to
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: lose because voters decided that, without significant outside factors, Trump
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: at the last minute, like noon on Election Day, endorses Paxton.
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: That's an attempt to try to hold the coalition together
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: and also to avoid having endorsed the guy that was
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: going to lose no matter what. The reaction in the
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: Senate is, how dare you? The Senate, Thune, and the
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: rest of the thugs think that Trump was obligated to
- 1:35:23Speaker 2: endorse Cornyn earlier in campaign for him because that's what
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: they command from the Senate. They command obedience from the president,
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: compliance from the president. And Trump didn't do what they
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: wanted him to do. So Thune was out today talking
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: about the president. Now, is Israel going to put his
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: colors against Thune? No, because this wasn't about America First
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: or the Republican Party. This was about Israel. You may
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: not like it. You may want to pretend it isn't real.
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: Just look at the numbers. You know, this $ 30 million
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: didn't come from Buddhists. So that's kind of where we are.
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: It's... So basically... Well, that's where we are. Don't disagree
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: with anything Trump does, or we'll be out to get you.
- 1:36:17Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: Yeah, do as you're told. Do what Trump and Israel say. Because, look,
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: he could defy Trump. If Israel didn't care about Epstein
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: and about foreign aid, they wouldn't have come in on
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: this fight.
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: All right, stand by. We'll take some calls for G2
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: coming up. News Radio 570, WKBN.
- 1:36:39Speaker 9: Youngstown's news, weather, and talk station, 570, WKBN. All right,
- 1:36:45Speaker 9: with G2, you want to take calls?
- 1:36:48Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:36:49Speaker 2: Let me read you one quick thing. This is a
- 1:36:51Speaker 2: text that just came in. It says, yesterday a voter
- 1:36:54Speaker 2: walked up and was speaking to me. I kept a
- 1:36:57Speaker 2: neutral but friendly face and body stance. She says, I
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: don't know why people are so upset with him, Trump.
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: He's done a lot. I can't wait to see all
- 1:37:06Speaker 2: the Trump Towers in Gaza. I mean, you can't pretend
- 1:37:11Speaker 2: Israel's not in this thing. So just a bizarre connection. And,
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: of course, that would indicate that this woman is a
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: Fox Boomer.
- 1:37:20Speaker 19: All right.
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: Switchy to you on here.
- 1:37:23Speaker 5: Hey, good afternoon, Ron.
- 1:37:24Speaker 7: Good afternoon, G2.
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:37:26Speaker 22: Got to move.
- 1:37:26Speaker 7: All right, guys.
- 1:37:26Speaker 5: Good.
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: Go ahead, Mike.
- 1:37:27Speaker 5: All right. So I'm going to mention Thomas Massey without
- 1:37:32Speaker 5: mentioning his name.
- 1:37:34Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:37:36Speaker 2: Go.
- 1:37:36Speaker 5: What is the most important thing you can have in
- 1:37:39Speaker 5: your representative? Fidelity to the Constitution.
- 1:37:43Speaker 4: And he did that.
- 1:37:47Speaker 5: I'm pretty upset today that Trump had gone after him.
- 1:37:51Speaker 5: He went after him harder than he does the Democrats
- 1:37:56Speaker 5: and also the people that are in Congress right now
- 1:37:59Speaker 5: in the Republican Party that are stalling the America First agenda.
- 1:38:04Speaker 5: which should be just constitutionally based. Now, if you can
- 1:38:10Speaker 5: tell me where Massey went wrong and went against his
- 1:38:16Speaker 5: oath to the Constitution, that would be a first for me,
- 1:38:21Speaker 5: because I can't find it.
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: Let me just say, I think, G2, I think that
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: was extremely well said. Your comment, please.
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, that's exactly right. And that's what some folks are,
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: because they keep talking about this obligation to other elected Republicans.
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: That's not the Republican Party. The Republican Party is supposed
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: to be its customer, the voter, and it's supposed to
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: be bound in that box, that cage, the Constitution.
- 1:38:47Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:38:49Speaker 5: And you know the other thing? We had a major
- 1:38:51Speaker 5: setback yesterday. Something died in America yesterday. And the person
- 1:38:59Speaker 5: that pulled the trigger on that, I'm disgusted with it today.
- 1:39:04Speaker 5: Absolutely disgusted. So the people that think Trump can do
- 1:39:08Speaker 5: no wrong and you can't be critical, Ron, I really
- 1:39:10Speaker 5: appreciate the pushback you put on that because these people,
- 1:39:16Speaker 5: they get... into this news cycle, and they think that
- 1:39:20Speaker 5: everything that Trump touches is going to be gold. And
- 1:39:23Speaker 5: you know what, Gary? That golden rabbit you're talking about,
- 1:39:27Speaker 5: I hope our grandkids don't have to pay for that.
- 1:39:30Speaker 5: But I know damn well they will.
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: All right, guys.
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 1:39:33Speaker 5: I'll talk to you later.
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: That was very well said, G2. Oh, yeah. That's all
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: I can say is well done. You're on the air.
- 1:39:41Speaker 25: How did your constitutional amendment to eliminate property taxes in
- 1:39:45Speaker 25: the Ohio election yesterday do?
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: It wasn't on the ballot yesterday. They're still collecting signatures
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: to get it on the ballot, the signature. They haven't
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: collected enough signatures yet to put it on the ballot
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: in Ohio.
- 1:39:59Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:40:00Speaker 5: And what is the timing that it could come to.
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: Be on a ballot? How many years? How many months?
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: What exactly? Do you know the process once they get
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: all the signatures?
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: I don't know. They're still collecting them to be able
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: to get enough signatures with a comfortable margin to submit them.
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: All right, we'll be right back. Day tire sale. News
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: Radio 570 WKVN.
- 1:40:22Speaker 9: All right, before I..
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: Oh, here we go. Now, Ron Verb. Got it.
- 1:40:28Speaker 9: On News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: You were talking yesterday, before I go back and take
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: more calls, about Massey being a conservative.
- 1:40:39Speaker 16: Yes.
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: Reiterate that for our listeners, because... I'm telling you, here's
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: the problem, and I'll be specific with people. There are
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: people who think if Trump says it, you just do it.
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: When people talk like it's like a cult, like you
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: can't disagree with Trump, anything he says or does, you
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: have to agree with. And it was okay to criticize,
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: as I say, Biden supporters who did that. And anything
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: Biden did, it was okay, even though it was a disaster.
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: And it was okay to criticize Tim Ryan, who voted
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: with Nancy Pelosi in a party all the time and
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: didn't represent his local constituents. So you understand my point?
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: The criticism that we had on the Democrats, well, now
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: we can't have that same criticism for our own party.
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: We've got to look the other way. Anyway, talk about
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: that Massey stuff on how he's a conservative. I'm supposed
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: to sit here and say Massey is the equivalent of
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: Liz Cheney. I mean, this is how they want to
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: portray this guy. And they went after him for three reasons.
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: Because Trump ran on releasing the Epstein files, and he
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: didn't do it. And Massey supported releasing the Epstein files.
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: Massey's against all foreign aid of a country that's $ 40
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: trillion in debt. Not just Israel, but all foreign aid.
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: And Massey was opposed to the war in Iran. So
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: because he can think those things through and views them differently,
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: he's an enemy of Trump. Just as Rand Paul must
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: now be an enemy of Trump. So do we pinpoint
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: Rand Paul, Massey, all of these people who have any
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: disagreements with the president and say they must be removed
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: from office? So we put a guy in to replace Massey,
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: who wouldn't debate Massey, who you don't know where he
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: stands on any of the issues. He is truly a
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: Trojan candidate. He's 68 years old, but we're going to
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: put him in, and he's going to vote how they
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: tell him.
- 1:42:53Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: And that's the primary qualification this guy has. All right?
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: I mean, you say, well, wait, he's a Navy SEAL. Well,
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: so has Van Orden. Van Orden's got a 63% F rating.
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: So being in the military does not guarantee that you're
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: actually going to be a good member of Congress. And
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: when you say, well, conservative or not conservative, there are
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: a bunch of different groups that rate conservatives and non-conservatives. So,
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: you know, they give Fetterman a six because he says
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: some good things, but he votes with the left. But
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: Massey in almost all of those polls ends up with
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: the highest ratings. Now, when the party shifted, when they
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: took control of the House and Senate, and the party
- 1:43:35Speaker 2: began pushing, like the big bill, beautiful bill, this thing
- 1:43:38Speaker 2: was a disaster. Now, we wanted the pieces of it
- 1:43:43Speaker 2: that were the American agenda. That's what we hired the
- 1:43:45Speaker 2: Republicans for. It's why we sent them to D.C. And
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: they said, well, we're going to give you a little
- 1:43:49Speaker 2: bit of that agenda. Not a lot, a little bit.
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: We're going to lock in the tax breaks or the
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: tax reforms that were done years ago because we have
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: to do that or our donors will kill us. But
- 1:44:00Speaker 2: we're going to make you spend an extra $ 5 trillion
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: to get this done. Massive amounts of funding. Oh, by
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: the way, we're going to kill Doge. We're going to
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: give you a $ 9. 4 billion savings out of Doge cuts.
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: You know, get rid of NPR, which is politically popular
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: and silly for the government to be funding and all that.
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: But that's all. You're going to get the $ 9. 4 and
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: the rest of it. We're going to hide the fraud.
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: We're not going to take action on anything. We're going
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: to support the corruption. And you can pound salt. Thomas
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: Matty years ago began saying we can't continue to fund
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: the United States government with continuing resolutions. He consistently said
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: we can't continue to put ourselves in a position where
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: we have these crises in funding all the time. We
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: have to put a meaningful budget together and we have
- 1:44:46Speaker 2: to cut spending. Now, I agree with that. I mean,
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: the only people that don't agree with that are the
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: people that have their nose in the trough that are
- 1:44:54Speaker 2: sucking up all this government money. So Massey, this didn't
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: start because he didn't start saying, I hate Israel, let's
- 1:45:00Speaker 2: not cut government funding. He said, we're $ 40 trillion in debt.
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: We cannot afford $ 2 trillion deficit. We cannot keep funding
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: this thing with these temporary funding resolutions. We've got to
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: put in a regular budget. It's got to be fiscally sound.
- 1:45:14Speaker 2: That now makes him a radical anti-Semitic guy. He hates Jews.
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: That's crazy. I understand that Israel wants desperately to keep
- 1:45:24Speaker 2: the money flowing. Okay, I get it. But saying the
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: United States is bankrupt doesn't make you anti-Semitic. And then
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: the Epstein files. Now, we've been through this for 10,
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: 12 years, this Epstein thing. And everybody understands that Ehud
- 1:45:41Speaker 2: Barak was on the island very often. And yet no
- 1:45:44Speaker 2: one seems to think he was a client. Well, what
- 1:45:46Speaker 2: was he doing there? This had some element of deep
- 1:45:50Speaker 2: state in it. We know about the CIA moving an
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: airline into Columbus, Ohio and all that. We know this
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: was a deep state operation. We know that the Murdochs,
- 1:45:59Speaker 2: not the Murdochs, the Gillian Maxwell's family were in Mossad.
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: We know these things. So, yes, all of a sudden,
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: the big expensive bill gets funded. They make us give
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: an extra $ 5 trillion in spending. And then Netanyahu shows
- 1:46:16Speaker 2: up in D.C., meets with what they call his war counsel,
- 1:46:18Speaker 2: which is Ted Cruz, Adam Schiff, Chuck Schumer, Amy Klobuchar, McCormick, this...
- 1:46:24Speaker 2: whatever his first name is, Dave McCormick, and all these people.
- 1:46:28Speaker 2: And then the next day, the Epstein files are a hoax.
- 1:46:33Speaker 2: And what did we say at the time? Trump cut
- 1:46:35Speaker 2: a deal. We don't know what he got for it.
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: We hope it was really good. Well, he did cut
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: a deal, and the American people responded by saying, we
- 1:46:41Speaker 2: don't support Trump anymore in large numbers, and specifically in
- 1:46:45Speaker 2: young people. He shed a huge amount of support. We
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: talked about it at the time. We went through the numbers.
- 1:46:52Speaker 2: Matthew stands up and says, listen, not good enough. We've
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: got to expose these things, meet with the people. Oh,
- 1:46:57Speaker 2: he's a grandstander. Well, I'll tell you what. I don't
- 1:47:00Speaker 2: know where this comes from. He's a grandstander. This was
- 1:47:03Speaker 2: an extremely important issue to the voter and specifically the
- 1:47:07Speaker 2: coalition that supported him, that supported Trump. And by refusing
- 1:47:12Speaker 2: to expose this, by refusing to prosecute, by refusing to
- 1:47:15Speaker 2: pursue this, they now have created a weapon they've handed
- 1:47:19Speaker 2: to the other side. Now the other side runs around
- 1:47:22Speaker 2: and says, Trump protected pedophiles. Now, that's the crazy thing.
- 1:47:28Speaker 2: The people who were Epstein's clients are now running around saying,
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: Trump protected Epstein's clients for political gain. This was, I
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: don't know what the deal was cut. It was a
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: very expensive deal. All right, so he's got 99% approval
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: in Israel. He's got 34%, 36% in the United States,
- 1:47:44Speaker 2: something like that. And we have a crisis heading into
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: the midterms. You know, Massey was working on a lot
- 1:47:54Speaker 2: of other things that were very conservative, that were things
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: that all of the Trump supporters would support. And none
- 1:48:01Speaker 2: of those were in the $ 30 million ad campaign. They
- 1:48:03Speaker 2: were out there going, listen, Massey doesn't want the surveillance
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: in the cars or the kill switch. But ignore that. No, no,
- 1:48:12Speaker 2: they just said things like, Massey voted against the Save
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: America Act, which is a blatant lie put out by
- 1:48:17Speaker 2: Ed gelleran that's going to be a disaster in congress
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: i wouldn't vote for him now another comment rich made
- 1:48:23Speaker 2: is that his sons aren't going to vote what polling
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: showed in texas is that if if cornyn was the
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: candidate or trump endorsed cornyn thirty percent of voters weren't
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: going to the polls and this is something the party
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: misses they think All they have to do is be
- 1:48:39Speaker 2: less crazy than Democrats, less corrupt than Democrats, at least
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: in appearance, and people will be forced to vote for
- 1:48:45Speaker 2: them because otherwise they get Democrats. That's not how this works.
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: If you look at turnout in many, many areas yesterday,
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: or a week ago in Ohio, two weeks ago in Ohio,
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: yesterday in Georgia, if you look at all these different
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: turnout numbers, you'll find in a lot of places turnout
- 1:49:01Speaker 2: was much higher for Democrats than it was for Republicans.
- 1:49:05Speaker 2: because they don't have enthusiasm, they don't have excitement in
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: many places, they don't have a choice to make, because
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: the Republican Party has been eliminating primary contests, chasing out
- 1:49:13Speaker 2: competitors so that a selected candidate can advance. The amount
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: of work that has to be done between now and
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: November to get this momentum back, to regain the coalition,
- 1:49:26Speaker 2: to task people like Thune in a good light, this
- 1:49:30Speaker 2: is a heavy task. This is going to be hard. Now,
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: other people say, well, MAGA's great. Look at what happened
- 1:49:35Speaker 2: in Georgia, the Supreme Court, and so on. None of
- 1:49:39Speaker 2: this is universal. There are no absolutes. But I'm telling you,
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: if you look at the polling, well, we'll see some
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: more clarity in the next few days. But I suspect
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: that the polling we're about to see in a couple
- 1:49:49Speaker 2: of days, I hope it's better than I fear. But
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: I think it's going to show 18 to 39, you know,
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: 40 to 45. I think they're going to show that
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: in these categories, Trump, MAGA, and the rest have lost
- 1:50:00Speaker 2: huge numbers of people. And the Democrat spread is going
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: to increase on what they call the generic ballot. We'll
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: see what it looks like from legitimate pollsters. So anyway, yeah,
- 1:50:12Speaker 2: Massey was conservative. He crossed swords with Trump. More importantly,
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: with these donors. They got this guy to run, who
- 1:50:23Speaker 2: hates Trump, by the way. And they spent $ 30 million
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: lying to the public to get him out.
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: A guy that people know nothing about where he stands.
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: No, they know nothing. They don't know. I mean, he
- 1:50:34Speaker 2: went through for the Republican Party when Trump won. No,
- 1:50:37Speaker 2: they know nothing about where he stands. He's an ABC.
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: Look, I'm glad. How often do you see the guy
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: that's the opposition candidates not want to debate the incumbent?
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: This guy didn't want to debate.
- 1:50:55Speaker 2: Well, he knew he didn't have to. A, he couldn't.
- 1:50:58Speaker 2: He would be destroyed. And B, he didn't have to.
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: because he had thirty million reasons not to. All he
- 1:51:05Speaker 2: could do is hurt himself with an unprepared message when
- 1:51:09Speaker 2: he had thirty million dollars pushing prepared messages, text campaigns,
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: and every form of advertising you could imagine. To pretend
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: that this is somehow a normal election is naive. This
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: is not a normal election. If this funding was in
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: line with past cycles, we could say, well, it's normal.
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: It was nothing like that. Massey's support, he gained 20%
- 1:51:31Speaker 2: in voting. And suddenly all these people come out that
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: never voted in one of these kinds of elections before.
- 1:51:37Speaker 2: They were not expected to vote, and they appear out
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: of nowhere because there was a massive campaign to turn
- 1:51:43Speaker 2: out voters and to make them believe that Massey is
- 1:51:46Speaker 2: a problem. Now listen, so Trump says Massey's a problem.
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: I disagree. I'm comfortable disagreeing. Here's another problem, what I
- 1:51:53Speaker 2: call binarism. What I mean is, Either you have to
- 1:51:58Speaker 2: bend the knee and listen to Trump and obey every
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: word and go along with every idea and repeat everything
- 1:52:02Speaker 2: he says and worship him, or you hate him. Well,
- 1:52:06Speaker 2: you know, no, we're not six, okay? It's not kindergarten here.
- 1:52:11Speaker 2: You could actually disagree with Trump and still support him. Well,
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: are you upset you voted for Trump? No, no, no, no.
- 1:52:17Speaker 2: I voted for Trump six times. I'd probably vote for
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: him again if I could. No, I disagree with him.
- 1:52:24Speaker 2: I think he's lost his way. I think this focus
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: on Israel is out of control. Go back to Rubio
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: explaining how we got into this war. I don't think
- 1:52:31Speaker 2: we should have let them walk us into this war.
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: I think that this focus on the American agenda has
- 1:52:36Speaker 2: to ramp up. And rather than seeing him going after
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: people with 96 scores on things like the Freedom Index
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: or the Conservative Review, I'd like to see him go
- 1:52:45Speaker 2: after the people with the 63s, the Van Ordens, and say, Hey, Derek,
- 1:52:49Speaker 2: where are you at with the voting, dude? Why don't
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: you get on board with the American agenda? And I'd
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: like to see somebody who spent $ 30 million beating phone
- 1:52:59Speaker 2: over the last 90 days forcing him to take action
- 1:53:02Speaker 2: to advance the SAVE Act.
- 1:53:05Speaker 24: Nothing.
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: Candidates all over this country will not be funded who
- 1:53:09Speaker 2: are going up against hardcore radical leftist candidates, and they
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: will be underfunded in many cases if you look at
- 1:53:16Speaker 2: sort of past few years. Typically, a Republican in many
- 1:53:19Speaker 2: markets is going to be outfunded three to 13 times,
- 1:53:21Speaker 2: 14 times to one, 10 times to one, five times
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: to one. And we're going to put $ 30 billion into
- 1:53:29Speaker 2: getting rid of a guy with a score of 96
- 1:53:30Speaker 2: to 101? Insanity. Unless your mission is not the American agenda.
- 1:53:38Speaker 2: Unless you have a different mission. And then it makes
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: perfect sense.
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: With G2 calls, let's get underway here. You're on the air.
- 1:53:48Speaker 8: Yeah, I hate to burst you guys' bubble, but Matthew,
- 1:53:52Speaker 8: I mean, I really like the guy. He's a Democrat,
- 1:53:57Speaker 8: my friends. He's a Democrat. Like 80% of his funding
- 1:54:02Speaker 8: comes from Democrats. And the stuff he voted against would
- 1:54:08Speaker 8: have crushed the agenda that Trump had. All the rest
- 1:54:12Speaker 8: of that stuff is just white noise.
- 1:54:16Speaker 2: This guy... Needed to go. Bye-bye.
- 1:54:21Speaker 7: And the trouble is..
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: Okay, now silence yourself. G2, your comment.
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not bursting any bubbles. That's the standard rhetoric
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: coming off of Fox and coming out of the $ 30 million.
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: And it's simply untrue.
- 1:54:34Speaker 5: Dr.
- 1:54:35Speaker 2: Steve Turley. You ever hear of Dr. Steve Turley? I
- 1:54:38Speaker 2: know who Steve Turley is. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:54:40Speaker 8: Let me explain something to you.
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: Well, listen for a minute, caller. Go ahead.
- 1:54:49Speaker 2: I went through a bunch of this kind of crap
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: over the last few days. I'm telling you, it is weak.
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: It is not logical. Here's what you should do. Go
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: start looking at the rankings of conservative websites and people
- 1:55:03Speaker 2: who do analysis and start looking at the things he
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: voted against and then find out why. If you can't
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: explain why he voted against the bills he voted against,
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: you have literally no idea what you're talking about.
- 1:55:16Speaker 8: I understand why he voted against him.
- 1:55:18Speaker 2: I get it.
- 1:55:19Speaker 8: Unfortunately, that's not the Trump agenda.
- 1:55:25Speaker 9: So what do you say, G2.
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: To the guy that says he's all for Trump and
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: all this kind of stuff? Oil prices didn't go up
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: because of the war. It's because of the oil companies.
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: Well, look, I understand the arguments he's hearing, but the
- 1:55:44Speaker 2: reality is when you disrupt 21 million barrels a day,
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: the Saudis then take a little while to get back
- 1:55:49Speaker 2: on their 7 million. You get a little more coming
- 1:55:51Speaker 2: out of the UAE. The truth is when you disrupt
- 1:55:53Speaker 2: the market like that and prices jump after, that's why
- 1:55:57Speaker 2: they jump. It wasn't just a miracle. And by the
- 1:56:00Speaker 2: same token, they went down because of what Trump did
- 1:56:03Speaker 2: when he took office. So he drove them down, and
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: then he did the war, and it's absolutely the war
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: that drove them back up.
- 1:56:10Speaker 1: And so if Massey's now eliminated because he was the
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: worst ever, according to Trump, then I guess the American
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: first agenda will sail through.
- 1:56:20Speaker 2: Well, that's the idea. I said this to a bunch
- 1:56:22Speaker 2: of people over the last couple of days. Well, now
- 1:56:24Speaker 2: that this hindrance is out, we should see the Save
- 1:56:27Speaker 2: America Act. We should see fiscal conservatism. We should see
- 1:56:31Speaker 2: the entire American agenda go through. We should see the
- 1:56:33Speaker 2: increase in mass deportations come back because it was Massey, right?
- 1:56:38Speaker 2: The $ 30 million problem. Now, let's see what happens over
- 1:56:42Speaker 2: the next week, because right now the Senate's saying to Trump,
- 1:56:45Speaker 2: you didn't save our friend. And that's more important than
- 1:56:48Speaker 2: this nation, the voters, the agenda, the Constitution. You were
- 1:56:53Speaker 2: supposed to save our friend, the worthless, and the American people,
- 1:56:56Speaker 2: John Cornyn. And you didn't do it, so now we're
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: not going to move your agenda forward. Well, they weren't
- 1:57:02Speaker 2: doing it anyway. I wish he had $ 30 million to
- 1:57:05Speaker 2: go after... and the rest of these clowns and expose
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: them for what they are. But they spent it on
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: Massey because he made the Israelis angry.
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: It's incredible.
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: And again, I'm not picking on Israel. I don't hate Jews.
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: I'm telling you, these were not Buddhists. They were not
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: doing it because they are dedicated to the American agenda.
- 1:57:30Speaker 2: They specifically said, AIPAC said, we did this because of Israel.
- 1:57:37Speaker 1: More tomorrow. Thank you, G2. Appreciate it. Guardians coming up.
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: Stay tuned.
- 1:57:46Speaker 19: From ABC News, I'm Chuck Severson. It's not clear what
- 1:57:50Speaker 19: happens next now that the Justice Department has indicted Cuba's
- 1:57:54Speaker 19: 90-something ex-dictator. ABC News national correspondent Stephen Portnoy.
- 1:57:58Speaker 28: The indictment charges Raul Castro with murder in the 1996
- 1:58:02Speaker 28: downing of two small planes flown by Miami-based exiles north
- 1:58:06Speaker 28: of Havana. The four men on board carried leaflets urging
- 1:58:09Speaker 28: Cubans to rise. up against their government. Fidel Castro's brother
- 1:58:12Speaker 28: Raul was Cuba's defense minister at the time. Acting Attorney
- 1:58:16Speaker 28: General Todd Blanch says the now 94-year-old former president will
- 1:58:19Speaker 28: have to answer the charges in a U.S.
- 1:58:21Speaker 7: Court.
- 1:58:22Speaker 20: We expect that he will show up here by his
- 1:58:26Speaker 20: own will or by another way.
- 1:58:28Speaker 28: Stephen Portnoy, ABC News, Washington.
- 1:58:30Speaker 19: Two police officers who defended the Capitol in the January 6,
- 1:58:33Speaker 19: 2021 attack by Trump supporters are suing to stop the
- 1:58:36Speaker 19: creation of the nearly $ 2 billion Trump fund that could
- 1:58:40Speaker 19: potentially compensate rioters from that day.
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: ABC's Peter Haralambous.
- 1:58:45Speaker 13: Former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn and Metropolitan Police Department
- 1:58:49Speaker 13: Officer Daniel Hodges alleged the compensation fund would not only
- 1:58:52Speaker 13: encourage those who committed violence in the name of President Trump,
- 1:58:55Speaker 13: but also directly finance their operations. The officers alleged the
- 1:58:59Speaker 13: creation of the fund violated federal law and the prohibition
- 1:59:02Speaker 13: in the 14th Amendment, barring the government from funding insurrections.
- 1:59:06Speaker 19: Former Trump administration official Michael Caputo says he is requesting
- 1:59:09Speaker 19: $ 2. 7 million from the fund. claiming he was targeted in
- 1:59:13Speaker 19: the Russia investigation. President Trump has been saying he's not
- 1:59:17Speaker 19: in a hurry to make a peace deal with Iran. Today,
- 1:59:20Speaker 19: following his return from giving the commencement address at the
- 1:59:23Speaker 19: Coast Guard Academy in Connecticut.
- 1:59:24Speaker 12: Right on the borderline, believe me.
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: If we don't get the right answers, it goes very quickly.
- 1:59:29Speaker 8: We're all ready to go.
- 1:59:31Speaker 1: We have to get the right answers. It would have
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: to be a complete... 100% good answer.
- 1:59:35Speaker 19: Wall Street major indexes closed higher.
- 1:59:37Speaker 5: U.S.
- 1:59:38Speaker 19: Oil closed below $ 100 a barrel, but Brent crude above $ 100.
- 1:59:41Speaker 1: You're listening to ABC News.
- 1:59:49Speaker 18: Coming up on Guardians Warm-Up, Tom Hamilton checks in with
- 1:59:52Speaker 18: manager Stephen Boat as the Guardians look to make it
- 1:59:55Speaker 18: three in a row here in Detroit tonight against the Tigers.

- 2:01:06Speaker 18: meeting in Game 3 of this four-game series. Jim Rosenhouse
- 2:01:11Speaker 18: along with you. We are about a half hour prior
- 2:01:14Speaker 18: to tonight's first pitch. Nicer weather night from the standpoint
- 2:01:18Speaker 18: of no rain. We will start on time. Much cooler, though,
- 2:01:22Speaker 18: here in the Motor City. as the Guardians try and
- 2:01:24Speaker 18: make it three straight over the Tigers after last night's
- 2:01:27Speaker 18: 4-3 win. Tanner Bybee looking for that first win of
- 2:01:31Speaker 18: the season. He'll be on the hill for the Guardians
- 2:01:33Speaker 18: against Drew Anderson as part of.
- 2:01:35Speaker 1: A bullpen game for Detroit.
- 2:01:37Speaker 18: Cleveland coming in, two games up on the White Sox
- 2:01:40Speaker 18: atop the American League's Central Division. The Tigers at the
- 2:01:44Speaker 18: bottom of the division, seven and a half games back.
- 2:01:47Speaker 1: Stay with us. We'll have more to come after this. Today.
- 2:02:02Speaker 22: Now the set, and again the 1-2 pitch. Swing and
- 2:02:06Speaker 22: a miss!
- 2:02:07Speaker 7: Ball game!
- 2:02:08Speaker 1: High heat takes care of Dingler.
- 2:02:10Speaker 22: Guardians win the first two as Smith strikes out the side,
- 2:02:16Speaker 22: gets a league-leading 15th save.
- 2:02:19Speaker 18: Welcome back to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show. The Guardians
- 2:02:22Speaker 18: bullpen once again coming up big last night, preserving a
- 2:02:26Speaker 18: 4-3 win, and it resulted in the first win Cleveland
- 2:02:30Speaker 18: victory in the win column for Colin Holderman, signed in
- 2:02:33Speaker 18: the offseason as a free agent to bolster the bullpen,
- 2:02:37Speaker 18: and we'll hear from him next.
- 2:02:40Speaker 17: Here's the Bet365 Minute, where winning is everything, with Scott Davidson.
- 2:02:45Speaker 29: Let's check the numbers tonight in Detroit.
- 2:02:46Speaker 1: The Guardians, the favorite again.
- 2:02:48Speaker 29: They're minus $ 1.
- 2:02:48Speaker 7: 20.
- 2:02:49Speaker 29: Total is 7.5. Now, let's try to make it four
- 2:02:51Speaker 29: winners in a row here after another last night. And tonight,
- 2:02:55Speaker 29: going with the Moneyline play. I like the Athletics to
- 2:02:58Speaker 29: beat the Angels tonight. Now, they posted 14 runs last
- 2:03:01Speaker 29: night against the Angels.
- 2:03:01Speaker 1: There's two edges here.
- 2:03:03Speaker 29: The Athletics now average four and a half runs a
- 2:03:05Speaker 29: game as opposed to four for the Angels. Plus, the
- 2:03:08Speaker 29: Angels give up plenty of runs. They average 5.3 runs
- 2:03:11Speaker 29: per game. Jack Ohanowicz has been tagged for six earned
- 2:03:14Speaker 29: runs in back-to-back games. That's more than Aaron Savali has
- 2:03:17Speaker 29: given up in his last four starts combined. I like
- 2:03:20Speaker 29: the A's tonight. That's my play of the day. Now
- 2:03:22Speaker 29: you can join me when you download the Bet365 app. Remember,
- 2:03:24Speaker 29: bet this or any money line all season long. Your
- 2:03:27Speaker 29: team ever goes up by five runs or more, you
- 2:03:29Speaker 29: win even if they don't. It's the MLB Early Payout.
- 2:03:31Speaker 29: Terms and conditions apply.
- 2:03:33Speaker 1: That's a bet. Three, six, five minutes. I'm Scott Davidson.
- 2:03:35Speaker 1: Gambling problem. Call 1-800-MY-RESET.
- 2:03:37Speaker 17: 21 plus only must be physically located in Ohio.
- 2:03:45Speaker 1: Here's the one, two swing and a miss strike three.
- 2:03:49Speaker 22: Polarman tremendous as he strikes out a pair and sets
- 2:03:54Speaker 22: the side out in order.
- 2:03:57Speaker 18: Welcome back to Guardians Warm-Up. We're joined by relief pitcher
- 2:04:00Speaker 18: Colin Holderman, who's been on a real nice stretch of late.
- 2:04:03Speaker 18: You're stacking good performances, time in and time out. What's
- 2:04:08Speaker 18: been the key for you, especially since your return here?
- 2:04:11Speaker 30: Honestly, it's just taking it day by day. Going in,
- 2:04:15Speaker 30: doing what I've got to do, doing the routine, getting ready,
- 2:04:18Speaker 30: make sure the body's in the right spot, and then
- 2:04:19Speaker 30: just attacking. Not giving three bases away and just be
- 2:04:23Speaker 30: relentless in the zone, and it's worked.
- 2:04:24Speaker 15: Out in my favor.
- 2:04:25Speaker 18: You've had success before, and how much do you lean
- 2:04:29Speaker 18: on that when you're trying to get to a good place?
- 2:04:33Speaker 15: It's always tough.
- 2:04:34Speaker 30: This is the hardest game in the world, and it
- 2:04:36Speaker 30: could be relentless at times. We went through a tough
- 2:04:39Speaker 30: one last year, but just knowing I've done it before,
- 2:04:41Speaker 30: and I did it for three years straight, so it's
- 2:04:43Speaker 30: not like it happened on accident. Just getting back to
- 2:04:46Speaker 30: being confident and being healthy also helps a lot, and
- 2:04:50Speaker 30: it's the best my body's felt. We're in a good
- 2:04:52Speaker 30: spot and just keep stacking good outing after good outing.
- 2:04:55Speaker 18: Changing organizations, what's helped you here to reach a really
- 2:04:59Speaker 18: good spot?
- 2:05:01Speaker 30: Definitely making the decision this offseason was there was a
- 2:05:03Speaker 30: few things I was taking into account, and it was
- 2:05:05Speaker 30: just the pitching department here is unbelievable, and just the
- 2:05:08Speaker 30: culture is amazing as well. So what I was doing
- 2:05:11Speaker 30: on my Zoom calls, this one definitely stood out to me,
- 2:05:13Speaker 30: and it was an easy decision for me to come here,
- 2:05:15Speaker 30: and it's lived up to everything so far.
- 2:05:18Speaker 15: We got into camp.
- 2:05:18Speaker 30: We dialed in some mechanics just a little bit to
- 2:05:22Speaker 30: help me stay in plane. It's been easier to throw strikes, and,
- 2:05:24Speaker 30: you know, Just the culture has been amazing. It's a
- 2:05:26Speaker 30: winning culture. Really just good people throughout the clubhouse and
- 2:05:30Speaker 30: the organization, so it's an easy place to show up
- 2:05:32Speaker 30: to work.
- 2:05:33Speaker 18: Colin Holderman is joining us, a big part of a bullpen.
- 2:05:37Speaker 18: It's really starting to come on and find itself. You
- 2:05:40Speaker 18: make the clubhouse spring training, but then with the inevitable
- 2:05:44Speaker 18: and bullpen, sometimes you end up in the minor leagues
- 2:05:47Speaker 18: for a little bit, but it seemed like you handled
- 2:05:49Speaker 18: that very well. at this stage of your career, what
- 2:05:52Speaker 18: allows you to do that where you can come back
- 2:05:54Speaker 18: and get good things done?
- 2:05:55Speaker 30: You know, it's, it's not the first time, you know,
- 2:05:57Speaker 30: last year I was optioned for the first time, you know,
- 2:05:58Speaker 30: and made it to arbitration before that happened. So I was,
- 2:06:00Speaker 30: you know, blessed beyond belief to do that. But, uh,
- 2:06:03Speaker 30: you know, last year it was a little harder for me.
- 2:06:04Speaker 30: It was, uh, it was, uh, you know, pretty hard mentally,
- 2:06:08Speaker 30: you know, how to work and, uh, you know, it
- 2:06:09Speaker 30: took a while to get back, but this is just
- 2:06:12Speaker 30: the option. You just to get some length, you know,
- 2:06:14Speaker 30: it was something I saw, you know, I've been around
- 2:06:16Speaker 30: enough and I saw the roster was made that it
- 2:06:18Speaker 30: was going to be me. I had options and, uh,
- 2:06:20Speaker 30: I just wanted to make myself as, you know, of use.
- 2:06:23Speaker 30: And I was like, I could lengthen out if need be.
- 2:06:25Speaker 30: So I went down there, did that, and then came back,
- 2:06:27Speaker 30: threw some length early and now throwing some leverage. So
- 2:06:29Speaker 30: I was just, you know, taking it day by day
- 2:06:31Speaker 30: and I knew I'd be back here.
- 2:06:33Speaker 18: Can you go to AAA and kind of have it
- 2:06:37Speaker 18: be like your major leagues in an effort to get
- 2:06:40Speaker 18: back in terms of how you view ballparks and opponents
- 2:06:43Speaker 18: and things like that?
- 2:06:44Speaker 15: It could definitely be hard. You know, it's the atmosphere.
- 2:06:47Speaker 30: It just isn't the same, you know, just kind of
- 2:06:49Speaker 30: like Every time you go out there here, it means something.
- 2:06:52Speaker 30: You're trying to make money, win, make a postseason push
- 2:06:55Speaker 30: or something. Just the adrenaline's at an all-time high, so
- 2:06:58Speaker 30: that's definitely something you have to adjust to there because
- 2:07:01Speaker 30: you're just really working on stuff and trying to stack
- 2:07:03Speaker 30: good outings, of course, but you're there for a reason.
- 2:07:07Speaker 30: Just the guys they have there is awesome, and they
- 2:07:09Speaker 30: want to win. Great coaching staff, great players, so it
- 2:07:12Speaker 30: was easy to be there and just take it day
- 2:07:14Speaker 30: by day.
- 2:07:16Speaker 15: Threw some good outings, came back, and I kept it going.
- 2:07:18Speaker 18: And you come back to a bullpen and have some
- 2:07:20Speaker 18: characters out there. What's it been like out there for
- 2:07:23Speaker 18: you getting to know these guys and, and see what
- 2:07:25Speaker 18: makes them tick?
- 2:07:26Speaker 30: You know, just a bunch of amazing people, you know,
- 2:07:27Speaker 30: in spring training, you know, got to be around them
- 2:07:29Speaker 30: for a little while and just see some of the
- 2:07:31Speaker 30: characters that that's, you know, first off amazing people, but
- 2:07:34Speaker 30: definitely unique people.
- 2:07:36Speaker 15: And, uh, I think that's what makes the bullpen good.
- 2:07:38Speaker 30: You know, like everyone's really close, you know, we got
- 2:07:41Speaker 30: each other's backs and, uh, you've seen that in the game,
- 2:07:44Speaker 30: it translates. And, uh, And we have fun out there
- 2:07:46Speaker 30: during the game, so that makes it easy. And when
- 2:07:48Speaker 30: you go on there light, it's a lot easier to
- 2:07:50Speaker 30: have success.
- 2:07:51Speaker 18: Colin, nice going. Thanks a lot for coming by.
- 2:07:52Speaker 15: I appreciate it. Thank you so much.
- 2:07:54Speaker 18: That is Colin Holderman, part of a rock solid guardians

- 2:10:11Speaker 18: Welcome back to the Beth 365 Guardians warm-up show. Time
- 2:10:14Speaker 18: to check in with WKYC, our pregame weather forecast, and
- 2:10:18Speaker 18: tonight it's presented by Window World.
- 2:10:21Speaker 33: Keep the chance for a couple isolated nuisance showers through
- 2:10:23Speaker 33: the evening and overnight, especially the further south you are.
- 2:10:26Speaker 33: Temperatures drop back into the 40s. We are drier on Thursday.
- 2:10:29Speaker 33: Clouds linger early on, but then we'll get more breaks
- 2:10:31Speaker 33: in the clouds. A low 60s inland cooler closer to
- 2:10:34Speaker 33: the lakeshore will keep a good breeze from the northeast.
- 2:10:36Speaker 33: In the 3 News Weather Center, I'm meteorologist Jessica Van Meter.
- 2:10:39Speaker 18: A dry but cooler night here in Detroit.
- 2:10:42Speaker 1: Stay with us.
- 2:10:42Speaker 18: When we come back, Tom Hamilton visits with manager Stephen Vogt.
- 2:10:46Speaker 18: The Key Bank Manager Show, next.
- 2:11:02Speaker 1: Hi again, everybody. With Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt, this is
- 2:11:05Speaker 1: Tom Hamilton. Welcome.
- 2:11:06Speaker 22: It's the Manager's Show, and it's brought to you by KeyBank.
- 2:11:10Speaker 22: Another white knuckler last night, and another way to find
- 2:11:13Speaker 22: a way to win a ball game. You've done it
- 2:11:16Speaker 22: in different fashions here, which is when you know your
- 2:11:18Speaker 22: ball club's starting to really play well.
- 2:11:20Speaker 1: White knuckle?
- 2:11:21Speaker 34: What game were you watching? You had it in the
- 2:11:22Speaker 34: bag the whole time. No, I'm... You know, that's what
- 2:11:26Speaker 34: just keeps amazing me about this group. They just find
- 2:11:28Speaker 34: ways to win, and we've got to keep doing it.
- 2:11:30Speaker 34: We can't rest or sit back. We've got to keep pushing,
- 2:11:33Speaker 34: and believe it or not, we want to win by
- 2:11:35Speaker 34: more than one run, but we seem to have really
- 2:11:37Speaker 34: settled into that pocket.
- 2:11:39Speaker 1: How about Cade Smith? He looks like he's settled into
- 2:11:41Speaker 1: a bona fide closer. There are nights he's got the
- 2:11:44Speaker 1: split going. Other nights he has the slider going. last
- 2:11:48Speaker 1: night it kind of looked like he went, I don't
- 2:11:49Speaker 1: know if they can hit this fastball.
- 2:11:51Speaker 15: Yeah, it was really impressive.
- 2:11:52Speaker 34: And I think that's what, you know, our catchers do
- 2:11:54Speaker 34: such a good job of recognizing what the hitters are
- 2:11:56Speaker 34: trying to do. But with Cade, it's always going to
- 2:11:59Speaker 34: come down to that fastball. When he's locating that fastball,
- 2:12:01Speaker 34: he's really tough to hit.
- 2:12:03Speaker 22: As good as he's been, was it big for Hunter
- 2:12:05Speaker 22: Gattis last night to get out of that in the
- 2:12:07Speaker 22: eighth inning? Not that you necessarily wanted to diagram it
- 2:12:10Speaker 22: that way.
- 2:12:11Speaker 34: Yeah, I think, you know, we've seen Gatti trending in
- 2:12:13Speaker 34: the right direction. You know, it Like I said, when
- 2:12:15Speaker 34: he first came back, he was dialed for a couple
- 2:12:17Speaker 34: outings and then kind of hit a little speed bump.
- 2:12:19Speaker 34: And that can happen when you don't have a regular
- 2:12:21Speaker 34: spring training buildup. But Gaddy sure seems to be mixing
- 2:12:25Speaker 34: in the changeup a lot more, which is really helping.
- 2:12:28Speaker 34: But the slider's back to 90-91. The fastball velo's 96-97.
- 2:12:32Speaker 34: So really happy with the way Hunter's throwing the ball.
- 2:12:35Speaker 22: He may not be getting many swings and misses against
- 2:12:38Speaker 22: his changeup. A lot of times they've been takes because
- 2:12:41Speaker 22: they're out of the strike zone. But is that still
- 2:12:44Speaker 22: planting the seed? Yeah, and it's such a different look.
- 2:12:46Speaker 22: You know, he's a power, power pitcher with the fastball slider.
- 2:12:49Speaker 34: And when all of a sudden you throw a 77
- 2:12:51Speaker 34: mile an hour changeup up there, it's kind of like, whoa,
- 2:12:53Speaker 34: it kind of surprises the hitter. So it's good to
- 2:12:56Speaker 34: give him that look, even if he's not getting swings
- 2:12:57Speaker 34: at it.
- 2:12:58Speaker 1: Everything okay with Travis Pisana? He's not in the lineup.
- 2:13:01Speaker 34: Yeah, Travis is just fine. We're in the middle of
- 2:13:04Speaker 34: 13 in a row. And again, with a lot of
- 2:13:07Speaker 34: our younger players and a lot of our players playing
- 2:13:09Speaker 34: 13 in a row, they've never done it before. And Yes,
- 2:13:12Speaker 34: there will come a time in Travis's career where he's
- 2:13:15Speaker 34: playing 13, 14 in a row. But with the way
- 2:13:18Speaker 34: he started off, it was really hard to take his
- 2:13:20Speaker 34: bat out of the lineup. But at the same time,
- 2:13:21Speaker 34: we've got to keep him healthy. We've got 112 games left.
- 2:13:25Speaker 1: He came up and played the last two games in
- 2:13:27Speaker 1: April and really has been a fixture now since the
- 2:13:30Speaker 1: beginning of May. Is it any coincidence that since he
- 2:13:33Speaker 1: got up here, you're not only leading the American League,
- 2:13:36Speaker 1: you're leading baseball as from May 1st on in walks
- 2:13:40Speaker 1: as a team and in runs scored.
- 2:13:42Speaker 34: Travis has definitely added to that, but I think it's
- 2:13:44Speaker 34: our group as a whole. They're just really making pitchers
- 2:13:47Speaker 34: come into the zone. When we can do that, we're
- 2:13:49Speaker 34: going to have some offensive success. I've been really pleased
- 2:13:53Speaker 34: with the at-bat quality. How about Steven Kwan?
- 2:13:55Speaker 22: He's four games out of the top spot, eight walks,
- 2:13:59Speaker 22: two hits in that span. has he relaxed in your mind?
- 2:14:02Speaker 1: What are you seeing? I think we're just seeing quantity.
- 2:14:04Speaker 34: I think we're seeing him get back to driving the
- 2:14:06Speaker 34: ball in the air to right field, which is when
- 2:14:08Speaker 34: he's at his best and, and taking walks and just see,
- 2:14:11Speaker 34: you know, he's, he's got a lot more tasks hitting
- 2:14:14Speaker 34: down in the order. And it's not just nobody on,
- 2:14:16Speaker 34: nobody out, get on base. It's, you know, he's driving
- 2:14:18Speaker 34: runs in. He's, you know, when he did lead off
- 2:14:20Speaker 34: last night, he hit a double. I mean, it's sometimes
- 2:14:23Speaker 34: you just need a new, a change of scenery, so
- 2:14:26Speaker 34: to speak. And, different situations than you're used to be
- 2:14:29Speaker 34: hitting in. And I've been really impressed with Quanis at-bats.
- 2:14:32Speaker 22: What is the difficulty about tonight when it's a bullpen
- 2:14:36Speaker 22: game by Detroit?
- 2:14:37Speaker 34: There's a lot of difficulty. They can kind of match
- 2:14:40Speaker 34: up how they want. So we went with a very
- 2:14:42Speaker 34: neutral lineup. We tried to go right-left every other person
- 2:14:45Speaker 34: to try and combat them being able to run through three,
- 2:14:49Speaker 34: four guys in a row with the same handedness. But
- 2:14:52Speaker 34: really in a bullpen game, you have to disrupt one guy.
- 2:14:55Speaker 34: If you can disrupt one guy in their plan, It
- 2:14:57Speaker 34: throws everything off. So we may not get to the
- 2:15:00Speaker 34: opener or we may not get to the second guy,
- 2:15:02Speaker 34: but if we get to the third guy or fourth guy,
- 2:15:04Speaker 34: then we're going to be doing our job.
- 2:15:06Speaker 22: Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt, Tom Hamilton, inviting you to stay tuned.
- 2:15:10Speaker 22: Cleveland and Detroit next on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.
- 2:15:24Speaker 18: About 10 minutes away from tonight's first pitch here at
- 2:15:27Speaker 18: Comerica Park in Detroit. Time for the pitching matchup. Right-hander
- 2:15:31Speaker 18: Tanner Bybee on the mound for the Guardians. 0-6 on
- 2:15:34Speaker 18: the season. An earned run average of 4.15 after 10 starts.
- 2:15:39Speaker 18: He's been pitching well, trying to get into that win column.
- 2:15:42Speaker 18: And maybe the Tigers... will help in that regard. He's
- 2:15:45Speaker 18: had good success in his career against Detroit, especially in
- 2:15:48Speaker 18: the postseason. Three appearances in the postseason for Vibey against
- 2:15:52Speaker 18: the Tigers. He's only allowed three runs in three no
- 2:15:56Speaker 18: decisions over 13 and a third innings. He'll be opposed
- 2:15:59Speaker 18: by veteran right-hander Drew Anderson, making his first start of
- 2:16:03Speaker 18: the year after 15 relief outings. He's 1-1 with an
- 2:16:07Speaker 18: earned run average of 4.67. That's your pitching matchup. That'll
- 2:16:11Speaker 18: do it for Guardians Warm-Up.
- 2:16:13Speaker 1: Stay tuned. We have the starting lineups in the first pitch.

- 2:24:46Speaker 13: We are. We are.
- 2:24:50Speaker 4: Cleveland.
- 2:24:50Speaker 5: We are.
- 2:24:56Speaker 22: From Comerica Park in downtown Detroit, Michigan, it is game
- 2:25:01Speaker 22: number 51. Tonight, the Cleveland Guardians and the Detroit Tigers
- 2:25:06Speaker 22: in game three of this four-game series. A matinee affair
- 2:25:11Speaker 22: tomorrow at 110 to wrap it up before Cleveland heads
- 2:25:15Speaker 22: to Philadelphia and Detroit will head to Baltimore.
- 2:25:21Speaker 1: Hi again, everybody.
- 2:25:22Speaker 22: Tom Hamilton, Jim Rosenhaus, Albert Dale with us here in
- 2:25:27Speaker 22: the booth in downtown Detroit. And Brian Montse back at
- 2:25:32Speaker 22: Command Center in downtown Cleveland. Glad you could be a
- 2:25:36Speaker 22: part of this Wednesday evening affair. And what a summer
- 2:25:40Speaker 22: we had in Detroit. Autumn now has kicked in. Temperatures
- 2:25:44Speaker 22: literally 20 degrees colder than what they've been the last
- 2:25:49Speaker 22: couple of days here in the Motor City. But no rain.
- 2:25:53Speaker 22: We've got quite a bit of cloud cover. No sunshine
- 2:25:56Speaker 22: here that will make it tough for, in particular, the
- 2:25:59Speaker 22: left fielder in the early innings, and really, for the
- 2:26:03Speaker 22: most part, just the lightest of breezes blowing in shouldn't
- 2:26:07Speaker 22: be much of a factor. Cleveland's playing its best baseball
- 2:26:11Speaker 22: of the year, 28-22, first place in the AL Central,
- 2:26:16Speaker 22: up two games on the White Sox. Cleveland's won a
- 2:26:19Speaker 22: season-high four in a row, and a season-best six games over. 500. Detroit,
- 2:26:26Speaker 22: they haven't been this bad in two years. Nine games
- 2:26:31Speaker 22: under at 20 and 29. Last place in the division,
- 2:26:34Speaker 22: seven and a half games in back of Cleveland. Scott Berry,
- 2:26:38Speaker 22: the home plate umpire. Manny Gonzalez at first. Tom Hanahan
- 2:26:42Speaker 22: at second. Ron Colfer, the crew chief, at third. The
- 2:26:46Speaker 22: dimensions at Comerican. 342 down the left field line.
- 2:26:50Speaker 1: 370 to left center. 412 to dead center.
- 2:26:52Speaker 22: 3.65 to right center, 3.30 down the right field line.
- 2:27:01Speaker 22: It's going to be a bullpen game tonight for Detroit.
- 2:27:05Speaker 22: And the guy that hopes to give the Tigers anywhere
- 2:27:08Speaker 22: from two to four innings, starting it off, the right-hander,
- 2:27:11Speaker 22: Drew Anderson, against the switch hitting Angel Martinez. The set,
- 2:27:16Speaker 22: tonight's first pitch swung on, whacked in the air to
- 2:27:19Speaker 22: fairly deep center, cruising toward left center to pull it
- 2:27:23Speaker 22: down is Matt Verling.
- 2:27:25Speaker 1: One pitch, one out. And we're underway here at Comerica Park.
- 2:27:31Speaker 22: 59 degrees, our game time temperature. Now the batter will
- 2:27:44Speaker 22: be the switch hitting Jose Ramirez batting left-handed. The pitch
- 2:27:48Speaker 22: to him, and it's on the inside edge, a called strike.
- 2:27:52Speaker 22: Drew Anderson can get it up there in the mid-90s.
- 2:27:58Speaker 22: This year, fastball, curveball, slider change. He misses with that
- 2:28:02Speaker 22: pitch down low. And the count now, 1-1. Jose Ramirez
- 2:28:14Speaker 22: swinging at the best he has all year takes a
- 2:28:17Speaker 22: strike on a changeup, 1-2. Drew Anderson, 6'3, 205, 32
- 2:28:21Speaker 22: years of age. Last four years pitching overseas. Now the pitch.
- 2:28:32Speaker 22: And it's waved at. Struck him out on a changeup.
- 2:28:35Speaker 22: Two up, two down. Riley Green's in left tonight for
- 2:28:39Speaker 22: the Tigers. Matt Feerling in center. Zach McKinstry in right.
- 2:28:43Speaker 22: Colt Keith at first. How you lead at second. The
- 2:28:47Speaker 22: rookie Kevin McGonigal at short. Gage Workman at third. And
- 2:28:51Speaker 22: Jake Rogers, the veteran catcher. Two down, no score. The
- 2:28:55Speaker 22: DH tonight. Chase DeLauder, and he takes a curveball down
- 2:29:00Speaker 22: and in. Travis Pazana is healthy, but getting the night off. DeLauder,
- 2:29:08Speaker 22: a fellow rookie, 0 for 8 in the series, but
- 2:29:11Speaker 22: two RBIs. And he bangs one in the hole and
- 2:29:14Speaker 22: into right field, a two-out single. That'll bring up Reese Hoskins.
- 2:29:19Speaker 22: If you're wondering, well, why is Travis Pazana getting a
- 2:29:23Speaker 22: night off as hot as he is, Well, again, manager
- 2:29:27Speaker 22: Steven Vogt saying, look, this is the middle of 13
- 2:29:30Speaker 22: consecutive games.
- 2:29:32Speaker 1: You never play 13 games in a row in the
- 2:29:35Speaker 1: minor leagues.
- 2:29:36Speaker 22: In fact, now you get every Monday off. There are
- 2:29:39Speaker 22: some people that like that. There are some people that don't.
- 2:29:44Speaker 22: As the batter Reese Hoskins, the pitch, a swing and
- 2:29:47Speaker 22: a little jam job popped up to the second baseman.
- 2:29:51Speaker 22: How you lead in shallow right, the second baseman retires
- 2:29:55Speaker 22: Reese Hoskins. Now Cleveland was very aggressive early in the count,
- 2:30:00Speaker 22: but it didn't get them anything. And they are scoreless
- 2:30:03Speaker 22: in the first with the Tigers coming to bat.

- 2:32:02Speaker 22: Tanner Bybee looking for that elusive first win. No score
- 2:32:06Speaker 22: bottom of the first. Colt Keith at first tonight, left
- 2:32:09Speaker 22: hand of batter. And the pitch to him is high,
- 2:32:12Speaker 22: ball one. Tanner Bybee, 6'2, 215, 27 years of age.
- 2:32:19Speaker 22: He has pitched a whole lot better. than his record
- 2:32:22Speaker 22: would indicate. Now the kick and delivery, and it's a
- 2:32:27Speaker 22: little bit low, 2-0. Cleveland just doesn't score runs when
- 2:32:33Speaker 22: Tanner Bybee's on the mound. Five times he's pitched, and
- 2:32:40Speaker 22: Cleveland's been shut out with him on the mound. Keith
- 2:32:43Speaker 22: drives one foul off to the left, 2-1 the count.
- 2:32:47Speaker 22: Tanner Bybee getting the worst run support in all of baseball.
- 2:32:52Speaker 22: Getting just a touch over one run a game when
- 2:32:56Speaker 22: he starts. Now the right-hander. Third base side of the
- 2:33:00Speaker 22: rubber lets it rip. And a breaking ball fouled back
- 2:33:04Speaker 22: in the count two and two. Tanner Bybee, no wins,
- 2:33:08Speaker 22: six losses, ERA 415. In ten starts, no complete games,
- 2:33:13Speaker 22: five innings to start, eight strikeouts, three walks per nine innings.
- 2:33:19Speaker 22: For Bybee, his changeup and curveball have been unhittable. He's
- 2:33:26Speaker 22: had more trouble with his fastballs. Now the wind and
- 2:33:30Speaker 22: the pitch. And it's swung on a little looping liner
- 2:33:34Speaker 22: to the left. Late break. Diving catch by Martinez. Martinez
- 2:33:39Speaker 22: got a very tardy break in left. Recovered and laid
- 2:33:44Speaker 22: out to make a diving catch for out number one
- 2:33:47Speaker 22: here in inning number one. Von Hill Martinez in left.
- 2:33:53Speaker 22: Stephen Kwan back in center. David Fry in right. Reese
- 2:33:56Speaker 22: Hoskins at first. Daniel Schneeman at second. Brian Rocchio at short.
- 2:34:01Speaker 22: Jose Ramirez at third, Patrick Bailey behind the plate. Kevin McGonigal,
- 2:34:09Speaker 22: the rookie now playing shortstop tonight, left-handed hitter, 21 years
- 2:34:15Speaker 22: of age. The kick and pitch, and it's down and in,
- 2:34:18Speaker 22: ball one. McGonigal batted.
- 2:34:21Speaker 40: 328 in April,.
- 2:34:21Speaker 1: 213 this month. OPS in April,.
- 2:34:23Speaker 7: 925.
- 2:34:23Speaker 1: This month,.
- 2:34:23Speaker 22: 553. The league has made an adjustment to the fine rookie.
- 2:34:34Speaker 1: He takes. It's a touch high, a changeup. 2-0 the count.
- 2:34:40Speaker 22: On Bybee's changeup this year, batters are 3 for 37
- 2:34:46Speaker 22: against his changeup. Now the windup. Now the 2-0. And
- 2:34:52Speaker 22: it's in there, a called strike and a changeup. Against
- 2:34:56Speaker 22: his curveball, batters are hitting 160. Fastballs, sinker, cutter, four-seamer,
- 2:35:07Speaker 22: all being hit over 300. The pitch swung on, fouled back.
- 2:35:13Speaker 22: Nothing wrong with Tanner Bybee's fastballs, but at times it's
- 2:35:16Speaker 22: been location command. One out, nobody on. Bottom of the
- 2:35:25Speaker 22: first from downtown Detroit, no score. An autumn-like night in
- 2:35:30Speaker 22: the Motor City.
- 2:35:31Speaker 1: The pitch..
- 2:35:33Speaker 22: A swing and a shot foul outside of first. 2-2
- 2:35:36Speaker 22: the count. Anthony Sanders coaching at first. Joey Cora coaching
- 2:35:42Speaker 22: at third for manager A.J.
- 2:35:43Speaker 1: Hinch. Tigers in that third base dugout. Now the windup.
- 2:35:55Speaker 1: Now the 2-2.
- 2:35:58Speaker 22: Swung on, hit high in the air to right. Coming in,
- 2:36:02Speaker 22: David Frey, and he'll put it away. Looked like it
- 2:36:06Speaker 22: could have been a hanging curveball, but McGonigal got under it.
- 2:36:10Speaker 22: That is out number two, and that'll bring up normally
- 2:36:13Speaker 22: the starting catcher. Tonight, the DH and Dylan Dingler. Dingler batting.
- 2:36:21Speaker 24: 239.
- 2:36:22Speaker 22: Leads Detroit and Homers with eight. RBIs, 28. They're giving
- 2:36:28Speaker 22: Spencer Torkelson the night off with a right-hander on the hill.
- 2:36:33Speaker 22: Two down, nobody on, no score in the first. The
- 2:36:36Speaker 22: pitch to Dingler, and it's in there, a called strike,
- 2:36:39Speaker 22: good-looking curveball. Tanner, in nine career starts against the Tigers,
- 2:36:49Speaker 22: four and three with a. 362 earned run average. He deals,
- 2:36:54Speaker 22: and it's swung on, topped foul. By the third base dugout, 0-2. Hey,
- 2:37:02Speaker 22: when Cleveland bats in the first four innings, they score
- 2:37:05Speaker 22: four runs in any one of those innings. Conrad's gives
- 2:37:08Speaker 22: away four Bridgestone tires to Katie Anderson from Brunswick.
- 2:37:14Speaker 1: Now the 0-2.
- 2:37:14Speaker 5: Outside, 1-2.
- 2:37:18Speaker 22: Conrad's Tire Express and Total Car Care. Visit econrads.com to enter.
- 2:37:25Speaker 22: Good luck to Katie Anderson from Brunswick.
- 2:37:29Speaker 30: Bye.
- 2:37:30Speaker 1: That hybrid windup. He delivers.
- 2:37:35Speaker 22: And it's fouled back. We'll do it again at one
- 2:37:38Speaker 22: and two. Tanner Bybee. Earned run average, six runs higher
- 2:37:49Speaker 22: on the road than it is at progressive field. The 1-2.
- 2:37:56Speaker 22: Swing and a topper, third base side, foul again. That's
- 2:38:00Speaker 22: really bizarre. 2-10 ERA at home, 8-15 ERA on the road.
- 2:38:08Speaker 22: And that six-run difference is the largest in all of baseball.
- 2:38:18Speaker 22: No score in this one.
- 2:38:19Speaker 1: The pitch. In the dirt to the backstop. 2-2 the count.
- 2:38:26Speaker 22: Tigers have really been woeful offensively here in the month
- 2:38:30Speaker 22: of May. Month of May, Detroit has a record of 4-13.
- 2:38:35Speaker 22: They're hitting 2-13 this month, scoring only three runs a game.
- 2:38:42Speaker 1: Now the pitch.
- 2:38:44Speaker 22: Swung on, lined up the middle, off the glove of Bybee.
- 2:38:47Speaker 22: Recovers behind the mound and throws him out. Almost looked
- 2:38:51Speaker 22: like it went through the webbing of Tanner Bybee's glove.
- 2:38:55Speaker 22: He got a glove on it, and it rolled then
- 2:38:58Speaker 22: to the grass behind the mound. He recovers on that
- 2:39:02Speaker 22: BB back up the middle off the bat of Dingler.
- 2:39:04Speaker 22: We are scoreless after one on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.
- 2:39:13Speaker 9: News Radio 570 WKBN Youngstown.
- 2:39:20Speaker 22: Daniel Schneeman takes the strike leading off the second. Drew
- 2:39:24Speaker 22: Anderson fires and the pitch down low. Check swing didn't
- 2:39:28Speaker 22: go after the changeup. Drew Anderson is in his first
- 2:39:34Speaker 22: year with Detroit and his first year in the Major
- 2:39:39Speaker 22: League since 2021. The pitch, a swing and a pop
- 2:39:43Speaker 22: foul down the left side into the lower deck.
- 2:39:46Speaker 1: 1-2 the count.
- 2:39:49Speaker 22: Anderson pitched for five years in the Major Leagues, 2017
- 2:39:53Speaker 22: through 2021.
- 2:39:55Speaker 1: With Philly, the White Sox, Texas.
- 2:39:58Speaker 22: He only pitched 19 games in those five years, had
- 2:40:03Speaker 22: an ERA of 6.5, and then decided, I need to
- 2:40:07Speaker 22: go overseas, make a little money.
- 2:40:09Speaker 7: The 1-2.
- 2:40:11Speaker 22: A swing and a miss. Ran it up and in.
- 2:40:14Speaker 22: And Schneeman out number one. Strikeout number two. So he
- 2:40:20Speaker 22: pitched in 2022 and 2023 in Japan. And then in
- 2:40:26Speaker 22: 2024 and last year in South Korea.
- 2:40:30Speaker 1: Signed up with Detroit. And here he is.
- 2:40:34Speaker 22: Bullpen game and he is starting it tonight. David Fry
- 2:40:37Speaker 22: in right field. The pitch to him.
- 2:40:40Speaker 1: And it's a... Slider for strike one.
- 2:40:45Speaker 22: If you missed the manager's show, because Detroit's going with
- 2:40:48Speaker 22: a bullpen game, manager Steven Vogt going with pretty much
- 2:40:53Speaker 22: a neutral lineup. The pitch, outside a ball, one and one.
- 2:40:58Speaker 22: At no point does he have two right-handed hitters or
- 2:41:02Speaker 22: two left-handed hitters back-to-back. Of course, it also helps to
- 2:41:06Speaker 22: have four switch hitters.
- 2:41:08Speaker 1: In the lineup.
- 2:41:11Speaker 22: David Fry,. 227 batting mark, three homers, eight RBIs. Bounces
- 2:41:17Speaker 22: one deep at third. Workman backed up on it. Long
- 2:41:20Speaker 22: throw in the dirt and a nice scoop at first
- 2:41:24Speaker 22: by Colt Keith. That is out number two. Here's Stephen Kwan.
- 2:41:35Speaker 22: Stephen Kwan misses his fifth game not leading off. In
- 2:41:40Speaker 22: the four games he's played prior to tonight, not leading off,
- 2:41:45Speaker 22: he's been on base ten times. Two hits, eight walks.
- 2:41:51Speaker 22: He is getting back, as manager said, to being Stephen Kwan.
- 2:41:56Speaker 22: He takes a strike. Stephen Kwan, with that self-deprecating sense
- 2:42:02Speaker 22: of humor, saying, are the pitchers looking up the video
- 2:42:06Speaker 22: board and looking at my batting average?
- 2:42:07Speaker 1: Why aren't they throwing me strikes? The pitch. Up and in, 1-1.
- 2:42:13Speaker 22: Kwon batting 2-0-4, but he has eight more walks than strikeouts.
- 2:42:20Speaker 22: Two down, second inning, bases empty, we are scoreless. Now
- 2:42:24Speaker 22: the pitch, a swing and a little looping liner to left,
- 2:42:28Speaker 22: slicing foul, and a 1-2 count. Well, it's Memorial Night
- 2:42:33Speaker 22: on Monday. Cleveland's at home against Washington. That'll be a
- 2:42:37Speaker 22: 6-10 start. New folks come and get a City Connect
- 2:42:41Speaker 22: plush blanket. That's courtesy of Dare Dutchman. Tickets at CLEGuardians.com.
- 2:42:47Speaker 22: Nice giveaway, and the way this spring has been, you
- 2:42:50Speaker 22: may need that blanket Monday night.
- 2:42:51Speaker 1: Who knows? 90 degrees one day, 60 the next.
- 2:42:56Speaker 22: Now the 1-2. Swung on, line drive, base hit toward
- 2:42:59Speaker 22: the line and left. Well, that is absolutely patented Stephen Kwan.
- 2:43:06Speaker 22: When he does hit the ball the other way and
- 2:43:09Speaker 22: hits line drives, then look out. When he gets in
- 2:43:14Speaker 22: trouble is when he hits fly balls the other way.
- 2:43:18Speaker 22: But another good at-bat for Stephen Kwan and a line
- 2:43:20Speaker 22: drive single to left. He's aboard with two down, no
- 2:43:25Speaker 22: score in the second. Switch hitting Patrick Bailey. Catcher batting left-handed.
- 2:43:31Speaker 1: The pitch..
- 2:43:32Speaker 22: And he pops the first pitch up. Foul ground, playable.
- 2:43:37Speaker 22: Third baseman Wage Workman makes the catch. Middle of the second,
- 2:43:41Speaker 22: no score in Motown.
- 2:43:43Speaker 37: Recently, our company softball team lost the big game by
- 2:43:47Speaker 37: one run. Then Dale tried to console us with the quote,
- 2:43:50Speaker 37: winning isn't everything.
- 2:43:52Speaker 1: Dale's a loser.
- 2:43:53Speaker 37: I play to win, like early payoff from bet 365.
- 2:43:57Speaker 37: If my team goes up big, I get paid out instantly,
- 2:43:59Speaker 37: even if they blow the lead later. Sound familiar, Dale?

- 2:45:28Speaker 15: News Radio 570 WKBN Youngstown.
- 2:45:41Speaker 22: Scoreless ball game as we head to the bottom of
- 2:45:43Speaker 22: the second inning. Tanner Bybee on the hill tonight for Cleveland.
- 2:45:54Speaker 22: And the man that he will face leading off the
- 2:45:56Speaker 22: bottom of the second, Riley Green, the left fielder, takes downstairs.
- 2:46:00Speaker 1: Ball one.
- 2:46:01Speaker 22: Riley Green is now leading the American League in the hitting.
- 2:46:05Speaker 22: At 335, four homers, 24 RBIs. Bybee into the motion,
- 2:46:15Speaker 22: and the 1-0 pitch, and it's in there, a strike.
- 2:46:19Speaker 22: Riley Green, though, not hitting for the power the Tigers need.
- 2:46:25Speaker 22: 36 home runs last year, 26 two years ago. This year,
- 2:46:30Speaker 22: four homers, 24 RBIs. The pitch, up and in, 2-1.
- 2:46:37Speaker 22: Tigers are really scuffling to score runs, and part of
- 2:46:41Speaker 22: it is, They have hit the third fewest home runs
- 2:46:45Speaker 22: in the American League. And they're not a team that
- 2:46:48Speaker 22: manufactures runs. The pitch is on the corner. A strike
- 2:46:52Speaker 22: evens the count. And Riley Green's challenging that last call.
- 2:46:58Speaker 22: First challenge of the night. And the call stands. Tigers
- 2:47:06Speaker 22: down to one challenge. It is indeed a strike. So
- 2:47:13Speaker 22: 2-2 the count on Riley Green. Bybee's ready.
- 2:47:19Speaker 1: Here it comes.
- 2:47:21Speaker 22: And the left-handed hitting left fielder swings and chases one
- 2:47:25Speaker 22: by his chin. That's a strikeout, the first for Bybee,
- 2:47:29Speaker 22: one down in the second. Detroit is averaging four runs
- 2:47:35Speaker 22: a game, 12th in the league, 12 out of 15.
- 2:47:39Speaker 22: 13th in the league in homers. 13th in the league
- 2:47:43Speaker 22: in steals. They don't have a sack punt this year.
- 2:47:47Speaker 22: Cleveland has 10. So if Detroit doesn't hit home runs,
- 2:47:51Speaker 22: they're not scoring. Here's Matt Feerling. Center fielder adding 2-12,
- 2:47:56Speaker 22: 4 homers, 19 RBIs. No score in the second. And
- 2:48:03Speaker 22: he looks at a called strike.
- 2:48:05Speaker 1: Good sinker.
- 2:48:12Speaker 22: Tanner Bybee out of Cal State Fullerton. Fifth round pick
- 2:48:17Speaker 22: five years ago, the pitch. And it sails high in
- 2:48:22Speaker 22: the count of one and one. Hey, whenever the Guardians
- 2:48:24Speaker 22: do win, Northeast Ohio Ford dealers donate $ 500 to Cleveland
- 2:48:30Speaker 22: Guardians Charities to support expanded access to youth sports in Cleveland.
- 2:48:36Speaker 1: The pitch. A swing and a foul back and out
- 2:48:40Speaker 1: of play. One and two, the count.
- 2:48:42Speaker 22: And I know we touched upon it last week, the
- 2:48:46Speaker 22: passing of our beloved Bob Tayak, who did such an
- 2:48:50Speaker 22: incredible job as the public address announcer at Jacobs Field
- 2:48:57Speaker 22: and then Progressive Field. Now the 1-2 pitch, a swing
- 2:49:02Speaker 22: and another lazy fly to shallow right. David Fry will
- 2:49:06Speaker 22: retire Matt Bierling, two downs. Five up, five down for
- 2:49:11Speaker 22: Tanner Bybee. Scoreless here in the second for Gage Workman.
- 2:49:15Speaker 22: Left-handed hitter at third. Bob's funeral mass was yesterday. Again,
- 2:49:24Speaker 22: our thoughts and prayers, if you are the praying type,
- 2:49:27Speaker 22: to Maria, Bob's wife, the children, Bree, Doug, their families,
- 2:49:33Speaker 22: the grandchildren. Bob Tayak, one of the finest people to
- 2:49:38Speaker 22: ever walk this face of the earth workman cuts and
- 2:49:42Speaker 22: misses pitch in on his hand strike one and maria
- 2:49:46Speaker 22: was saying the outpouring of support that they have gotten
- 2:49:51Speaker 22: from the guardians baseball fans.
- 2:49:54Speaker 1: The oh one pitch down low change up.
- 2:49:59Speaker 22: She said we were stunned how important people felt bob
- 2:50:04Speaker 22: was as far as their experience at progressive field The 1-1.
- 2:50:11Speaker 1: A swing and a miss.
- 2:50:12Speaker 22: And you fans certainly help in the comfort area for
- 2:50:18Speaker 22: all the messages that you have sent out to the family.
- 2:50:21Speaker 22: And thank you for that. And you have no idea
- 2:50:24Speaker 22: what that has meant to the Tayak family.
- 2:50:27Speaker 1: The pitch. Swing and a miss. High heater got him.
- 2:50:31Speaker 22: And also, what an incredible job Kelly Dredge did, who's
- 2:50:35Speaker 22: head of the scoreboard room for the Guardians.
- 2:50:38Speaker 1: She was..
- 2:50:39Speaker 22: So special in the lives of Bob and Maria Tayak
- 2:50:43Speaker 22: and Kelly, a special person in her own right. So
- 2:50:49Speaker 22: they just want to thank everybody. It's a very difficult time,
- 2:50:55Speaker 22: but there were a lot of happy memories. Thanks to
- 2:50:59Speaker 22: you fans, to Kelly and so many other people. We'll
- 2:51:03Speaker 22: go to the third scoreless in the Motor City.
