- 0:20Speaker 1: long time. I remember when she first came out on
- 0:25Speaker 1: some like fly Shit. She was working with Pharrell repin Boston,
- 0:30Speaker 1: was signed an RCA for a long time, and I
- 0:32Speaker 1: don't think they really knew what to do with her.
- 0:34Speaker 1: And now she's just thriving. Man. So we got to
- 0:37Speaker 1: sit down with Bea. She got a crazy record on
- 0:39Speaker 1: TikTok right now, but just in general, just a really
- 0:41Speaker 1: dope artist. Great vibes from Beia. Had an amazing conversation.

- 1:22Speaker 1: boutlet Cavs show special guests in here. You know her,
- 1:25Speaker 1: her name is Bea. Wow. That was a great intro.
- 1:28Speaker 1: You know her, well, let me see her. Let me
- 1:30Speaker 1: say this. I've been paying attention to your journey for
- 1:33Speaker 1: a very long time, and congratulations because this I know
- 1:36Speaker 1: that this success is is uh well deserved. You've been
- 1:42Speaker 1: grinding for a very long time. I've been seeing other
- 1:44Speaker 1: chicks pop off and you know, you've been here the
- 1:48Speaker 1: whole time, and like to finally see you kind of
- 1:51Speaker 1: break through his delptacy. Thank you so much. It's been, like,
- 1:54Speaker 1: like you said, a long ass journey. Yeah. I wouldn't
- 1:58Speaker 1: change it, man, Like if I could go back, like,
- 2:00Speaker 1: I wouldn't have done anything different, Like yeah, because I
- 2:04Speaker 1: feel like you were shout out to you too, because
- 2:07Speaker 1: I remember it was it you were an RCA. Yeah,
- 2:10Speaker 1: and then uh you, I mean they didn't do shit
- 2:13Speaker 1: with you, they didn't know what to do with you.
- 2:16Speaker 1: And then the RUSS record popped, and I think right
- 2:18Speaker 1: when the Rust record popped, you became like a free agent.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I was actually a free agent a week before to us, right,
- 2:23Speaker 1: like it all lined up. It's like the stars of
- 2:25Speaker 1: line for it was god bro like for real, like
- 2:28Speaker 1: I couldn't have wrote that no other way. Yeah, because
- 2:32Speaker 1: I remember, you know, I'm cool cool with the you
- 2:35Speaker 1: know your old A and r h RCA shout out,
- 2:37Speaker 1: leave him a name, very that's my boy, you know
- 2:39Speaker 1: what I'm saying. But yeah, I remember always thinking like man,
- 2:43Speaker 1: this girl being so fire like like and then I
- 2:46Speaker 1: would see other chicks who are as fire as you, like,
- 2:48Speaker 1: you know, catch some ship, and I'm like man. And
- 2:50Speaker 1: then that Russ record happened, and I remember someone telling them.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I think Russ told me. Russe was like, yo, yeah,
- 2:55Speaker 1: she's a free agent now, and I was like, oh shit.
- 2:59Speaker 1: And then when I found out you were with Epic,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I'm you're in good hands now. Yeah. I love it
- 3:03Speaker 1: over there like we love Epic. Yeah. And now now
- 3:06Speaker 1: you got this this whole lot of money song that's
- 3:08Speaker 1: going insane crazy. Yeah. So for people who don't know,
- 3:11Speaker 1: how long have you been rapping? So I've been rapping
- 3:14Speaker 1: probably for like I want to say ten years, but
- 3:19Speaker 1: like really like really really rapping for probably like seven years,
- 3:24Speaker 1: Like yeah about that. And so for like I'm you
- 3:28Speaker 1: originally did did Pharrell kind of discover you? Like kind
- 3:31Speaker 1: of give us a background on you and Pharrell like
- 3:33Speaker 1: like back back when you kind of because I think
- 3:35Speaker 1: that that's how maybe some people might have first heard
- 3:36Speaker 1: of you. So actually family discovered me. Shout out to family. Yeah,
- 3:41Speaker 1: he's Virginia, He's the original because like you know, nobody
- 3:44Speaker 1: believed in me until he did, and then you know,
- 3:48Speaker 1: it was just just him believing in me for a
- 3:49Speaker 1: long time. And then you know then Forarrell and and
- 3:54Speaker 1: it was just it's really hard when you have to
- 3:56Speaker 1: put all that pressure on on just only two people,
- 3:59Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying, to try to get
- 4:01Speaker 1: the world to see what you see that early on
- 4:04Speaker 1: is like it's very hard to do. And you know,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I respect and love them forever for doing that for me,
- 4:09Speaker 1: because when you stamp something that early, it's like that's genuine,
- 4:14Speaker 1: that's big. Yeah, I mean. And then also like you know,
- 4:17Speaker 1: Forrell outside of Calice, like I don't, I can't. I mean,
- 4:20Speaker 1: the police is obviously a singer, but like, I mean
- 4:23Speaker 1: to have someone like that co sign you as a
- 4:26Speaker 1: female MC. And by the way, but at the time,
- 4:28Speaker 1: you know, there's been this big female MC renaissance which
- 4:31Speaker 1: has been amazing to see, but at the time, I
- 4:33Speaker 1: feel like it was just so it was kind of
- 4:35Speaker 1: a weird time to be a female rapper, right because
- 4:36Speaker 1: it was really just nicky and then it was like
- 4:41Speaker 1: I mean everybody, I mean, it was like, you know,
- 4:43Speaker 1: there was like people like Nitty Scott MC and Rhapsody
- 4:46Speaker 1: and all these dope like people making noise on the underground.
- 4:49Speaker 1: But it was really like, I'm so happy that the
- 4:53Speaker 1: ceiling has gotten broken through of their only being one
- 4:57Speaker 1: it female rapper at a time, because that's it's over
- 5:00Speaker 1: with now. I mean, I think it's been over with,
- 5:03Speaker 1: but just now you have the industry accepting it because
- 5:07Speaker 1: it's a different thing when there's always been girls wrapping.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Of course, there's always been girls that were fired, you know,
- 5:12Speaker 1: and they just didn't get there, dude, because you know
- 5:16Speaker 1: the way it was set up. So it's like now
- 5:18Speaker 1: that I think like as one girl starts to go
- 5:20Speaker 1: and another girl goes, and another girl goes, it's making
- 5:22Speaker 1: people open their eyes and making labels wake up and
- 5:25Speaker 1: be like, hey, listen, week festivals, everything. We have to
- 5:28Speaker 1: start pouring into the girls a little bit more because
- 5:30Speaker 1: there's something going on here. The people are picking it,
- 5:33Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying. The people are the
- 5:35Speaker 1: ones that consumers are speaking through. Yeah, one d P.
- 5:39Speaker 1: When you first kind of started to see this record,
- 5:41Speaker 1: this Whole Lot of Money record go crazy on TikTok,
- 5:44Speaker 1: Like what was like like, like, what was the moment
- 5:46Speaker 1: where you realize, oh, this shit's this is gonna's kind
- 5:49Speaker 1: of a thing. Was it like a certain person who
- 5:51Speaker 1: did something to it? Like, because it seemed like it
- 5:53Speaker 1: popped pretty quick. I we were in Puerto Rico shooting
- 5:57Speaker 1: the video and you know, just on like a little
- 6:02Speaker 1: recording vacation. And then when we came back is when
- 6:06Speaker 1: it was it was going viral like the day we
- 6:09Speaker 1: came back, and we loved Whole Lot of Money, like
- 6:11Speaker 1: my whole team, like everybody on my side. We we
- 6:13Speaker 1: always felt like that record was special, but we just
- 6:17Speaker 1: like we were in the business of just letting the
- 6:19Speaker 1: people pick what they love and you know, moving on
- 6:22Speaker 1: to the next record, Like we don't get married to
- 6:24Speaker 1: anything or think like, oh, if this doesn't work out,
- 6:27Speaker 1: it's over. You know, we're always in the in the
- 6:30Speaker 1: game to just keep it, keep it, keep the momentum rolling.
- 6:33Speaker 1: So we didn't expect it, but after it happened, we
- 6:37Speaker 1: were so happy about it because it was one that
- 6:39Speaker 1: you guys already loved. Yeah, it was the one that
- 6:40Speaker 1: we were like, oh, we added this song last, Like,
- 6:43Speaker 1: you know, we we didn't really fight for it because
- 6:45Speaker 1: it wasn't a fight, but we were all like, do
- 6:47Speaker 1: we shure we think we should have this? Yeah? Yeah,
- 6:49Speaker 1: we have to. Like do you feel like back in
- 6:51Speaker 1: like when you first kind of started, Like was that
- 6:54Speaker 1: an uphill battle to be like man, I like you
- 6:58Speaker 1: got to kind of get a single pop you know
- 7:00Speaker 1: what I'm saying? That was the worst right, Like it's
- 7:05Speaker 1: like and your man, he's the king of that, Like
- 7:09Speaker 1: he's the king of like certain people, my old A
- 7:12Speaker 1: and R he was the king of like you need
- 7:14Speaker 1: a hit single? Hey, by the way, similar things happen
- 7:19Speaker 1: with other people, and that works for some people. Don't
- 7:21Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Like that also stalled out a
- 7:23Speaker 1: lot of dope artists on that same label. That's what
- 7:26Speaker 1: I'm trying to say that that either that's like the
- 7:29Speaker 1: that's cancer to an artist, Like when you don't allow
- 7:32Speaker 1: them to be productive and consistent, you kill their momentum.
- 7:36Speaker 1: So it's like you kill everything that they have going on.
- 7:38Speaker 1: So for some artists that works, they could come out
- 7:41Speaker 1: the gate with one hit, then wait until they get
- 7:43Speaker 1: the next one, then come out the gate with another hit.
- 7:45Speaker 1: But that's not how you build fans. That's not how
- 7:47Speaker 1: you build the identity because if you're known as like
- 7:52Speaker 1: the radio artist, and what happens when you don't have
- 7:54Speaker 1: a radio record, and that's just not the artist I
- 7:57Speaker 1: want it to be, right, I have more depth. I
- 8:00Speaker 1: felt like there was a lot of music that I
- 8:02Speaker 1: had that wasn't going to see the light of day,
- 8:04Speaker 1: that needed to see the light of day. And were
- 8:07Speaker 1: you able to take any of your stuff that you
- 8:09Speaker 1: recorded over there with you? I didn't. I didn't. But
- 8:12Speaker 1: that's okay because my boys will tell you, like I
- 8:17Speaker 1: record bro, like I could cut records, like I'll go
- 8:20Speaker 1: in there. I could have a day where I might
- 8:22Speaker 1: leave with three. I could have a day where I
- 8:24Speaker 1: might leave with six. You know what I'm saying. And
- 8:26Speaker 1: everybody that's ever been in the studio with me knows
- 8:28Speaker 1: that and they know it's it's more where that came from.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I feel like, you know, sometimes like that that'll happen
- 8:33Speaker 1: where an artist will be like, damn, like, I'm really
- 8:35Speaker 1: married to these songs. But if you're really, like, if
- 8:38Speaker 1: you're really that motherfucker, like, it's all good. You just
- 8:40Speaker 1: to make new ones, you know what I mean? And
- 8:42Speaker 1: And also what that mentality you're talking about is it
- 8:45Speaker 1: almost like I hate to see when when really dope
- 8:48Speaker 1: motherfuckers like get put in situations where the label really
- 8:51Speaker 1: make them question themselves a second guess how dope they
- 8:55Speaker 1: are because the single ain't hit or you know what
- 8:58Speaker 1: I'm saying, it's like, man, like your fire, Like I've
- 9:01Speaker 1: been thinking you're fire for a long time. And did
- 9:04Speaker 1: you ever have that situation where you kind of started
- 9:06Speaker 1: to question yourself, like because I know, you know, the
- 9:11Speaker 1: old conventional way of this shit was, hey, we need it,
- 9:13Speaker 1: we need a single to pop you off. That was
- 9:15Speaker 1: my whole I felt like that was the whole beginning
- 9:17Speaker 1: of my career where I felt like I was constantly
- 9:20Speaker 1: questioning myself and my own abilities because it wasn't working,
- 9:24Speaker 1: and I'm like, what am I doing wrong? What am
- 9:26Speaker 1: I doing wrong? I'm constantly going back to the drawing
- 9:29Speaker 1: board and trying to reinvent or come up with something
- 9:31Speaker 1: else or mimic what they're telling me. I should be
- 9:35Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying. And I got to
- 9:37Speaker 1: a place where I was like, I don't know what happened, really,
- 9:41Speaker 1: but I got charged up, like you know when you
- 9:43Speaker 1: just you stopped taking shit and you just like you
- 9:46Speaker 1: know what you got. I got so angry that it
- 9:48Speaker 1: forced me to no longer seek no validation and just
- 9:52Speaker 1: pour that into myself like yeah, like it's almost like
- 9:55Speaker 1: you're here for a reason. It's because you're dope, Like
- 9:58Speaker 1: just yeah, just be do you how? And it took
- 10:01Speaker 1: the fun out of it, yeah, because then it feels
- 10:03Speaker 1: like a job, because then you're not creating for the
- 10:05Speaker 1: love or for yourself. You're creating for what you think
- 10:07Speaker 1: people want to hear exactly. And then when I got
- 10:09Speaker 1: back to the basics, like when I got out of
- 10:12Speaker 1: the label situation and I had nobody, just my friends.
- 10:15Speaker 1: We were going to the studio every day, you know,
- 10:17Speaker 1: just recording as friends, and I'm like, you know, this
- 10:20Speaker 1: is fun, this is this is why we did this.
- 10:23Speaker 1: This is what this used to feel like. So now
- 10:26Speaker 1: I just chase that, Like as long as I'm having
- 10:28Speaker 1: a good time and I'm around good people, good energy,
- 10:31Speaker 1: and I protect that vibe. I don't work with everybody
- 10:33Speaker 1: because you can't get that way. Who's who are artists
- 10:36Speaker 1: that you enjoy working with where you get that vibe
- 10:39Speaker 1: like or producers, just someone who who you've gotten in with.
- 10:42Speaker 1: You're like, this is this is great. I love my
- 10:45Speaker 1: homeboys Little Rich and Disease. They are like two of
- 10:48Speaker 1: my best friends and they're hilarious. He's hilarious. He has
- 10:51Speaker 1: me cracking up whull time. London Jay is really fire.
- 10:56Speaker 1: T Romano like any other art about any other arts
- 11:00Speaker 1: that you've gotten, artists just felt organic and Russ Russ's
- 11:05Speaker 1: he's a genius. Yeah. I saw the video of you
- 11:07Speaker 1: guys working on Best on Earth together and it just
- 11:09Speaker 1: felt is a vibe like he's he's so talented and
- 11:15Speaker 1: you know, like, honestly, Pharrell is a vibe to be
- 11:18Speaker 1: in a studio with, like to soak up if like
- 11:20Speaker 1: anyone that's ever been in a studio with Pharrell to
- 11:22Speaker 1: soak up from him and to see his process, like
- 11:25Speaker 1: you'll learn some shit Like so, yeah, Pharrell, I think
- 11:29Speaker 1: is uh, you know, there's a few guys that I
- 11:32Speaker 1: think every artist has like on their checklist to work with.
- 11:35Speaker 1: It's like doctor Dre Pharrell. Yeah, he's like that. Like
- 11:40Speaker 1: I would just watch him like wow, Like did you
- 11:43Speaker 1: learn a lot that you replied to your own creative
- 11:45Speaker 1: process from being around him so much? Absolutely, Like if
- 11:48Speaker 1: something don't feel right, I get off of it, like
- 11:50Speaker 1: you know, like I don't sit there and try to
- 11:52Speaker 1: write a line for like ten hours, Like if it
- 11:55Speaker 1: doesn't feel right, it's like move on. Let's move on, Like,
- 11:57Speaker 1: let's move on and come back to it, because it's
- 12:00Speaker 1: be natural. It should feel good. It shouldn't feel like homework. Hey,
- 12:03Speaker 1: and then the the you know, I think that that
- 12:05Speaker 1: moment with Best on Earth was big because again, you
- 12:08Speaker 1: had just got out of your deal that that record
- 12:11Speaker 1: went crazy. Obviously, Russ he puts out a I think,
- 12:15Speaker 1: you know a lot of artists should follow his blueprint
- 12:17Speaker 1: in terms in terms of just how he releases music
- 12:20Speaker 1: and builds his fans. But like it was one of
- 12:23Speaker 1: the records that he you know, he puts out a
- 12:24Speaker 1: lot of songs that record comes out, I think was
- 12:27Speaker 1: Rihanna posted it right and it was just off to
- 12:31Speaker 1: the races, Like what was that first of all at
- 12:35Speaker 1: the time. Russ. I think Russ is another person who
- 12:39Speaker 1: everything he does is very organic as far as the
- 12:40Speaker 1: people he works with, Like I never see Russ force
- 12:43Speaker 1: any features. Like he's like, yo, if I fuck with him,
- 12:44Speaker 1: I fuck with him like he was he was a
- 12:46Speaker 1: fan of you to work with him. Yes, I was
- 12:49Speaker 1: a fan of him too, so like I love his music.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So when he hit me he's in La, He's like,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm in LA, Like you know, I got some studio sessions.
- 12:58Speaker 1: And he don't even do studio sessions like out at
- 13:00Speaker 1: the studio. He recorded at home at home yea. So
- 13:02Speaker 1: he's like, you know, I'm out here. I don't really
- 13:04Speaker 1: do this shit, but I got session. If you've got time,
- 13:06Speaker 1: I'd like for you to pull up. I got some
- 13:07Speaker 1: beats for you. So he had some beats originally and
- 13:10Speaker 1: to play me. As I was listening to them, we
- 13:12Speaker 1: heard the best on earth Beat and we were like, man,
- 13:15Speaker 1: let's get on this right now. We just both felt it.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Cut it right away. He did a hook, I did
- 13:20Speaker 1: the other half he did a verse. I did the
- 13:22Speaker 1: other half for the verse. So it was it was organic,
- 13:25Speaker 1: like real, that's fire, that's fire. We were talking earlier
- 13:28Speaker 1: about shrooms. You said you've had some bad shroom experiences.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Tell me about the craziest shroom experience you've had. He
- 13:35Speaker 1: just put me on the spot. Listen, we've all, I mean,
- 13:38Speaker 1: I don't know, but we've all had bad I don't
- 13:41Speaker 1: know because I don't want people to think I'm weird.
- 13:42Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like, because you did trooms,
- 13:44Speaker 1: because like my experience, Oh yeah, tell me what happened, please,
- 13:47Speaker 1: Like I don't want them to be like she was tripping.
- 13:50Speaker 1: So I saw a UFO like I was in Brickle,
- 13:55Speaker 1: you know, I was looking out looking out my hotel.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I saw you. It's in Miami, right in Miami. Yeah, yeah,
- 14:02Speaker 1: I saw a UFO. It was like four in the morning.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I'm laying with my boyfriend and we're both looking at it.
- 14:09Speaker 1: But we felt asleep, but we were awake. It was weird.
- 14:13Speaker 1: It's like my mind was awake but my eyes was closed,
- 14:17Speaker 1: but I was fully awake. I wasn't sleep and then
- 14:19Speaker 1: I opened my eyes. So let me not say my
- 14:22Speaker 1: eyes was closed. This is not making sense AnyWho. I
- 14:24Speaker 1: was laying down, I was looking out the window and
- 14:26Speaker 1: I saw a UFO. I didn't want to say anything, like, yo,
- 14:29Speaker 1: you see that UFO because I didn't want to think
- 14:31Speaker 1: I was crazy. Did he see the UFO as well?
- 14:34Speaker 1: Let me tell you. So the next day I saw
- 14:39Speaker 1: the uf I asked him, like I told somebody in
- 14:42Speaker 1: front of him. I'm like, oh, you know, I thought
- 14:44Speaker 1: I saw a UFO yesterday. He said, I seen it too,
- 14:47Speaker 1: but I didn't want to say anything because I thought
- 14:48Speaker 1: I was tripping and I wanted to see if you
- 14:51Speaker 1: would bring it up today. And I was like, yes,
- 14:53Speaker 1: I saw it, like I knew it was a UFO.
- 14:56Speaker 1: It was doing this little weird shit and then it
- 14:58Speaker 1: just shot and disintegrated, like shot down and disintegrated and
- 15:02Speaker 1: what the fuck flies down? Everything flies up? You know
- 15:05Speaker 1: what I'm saying. It was like, Yo, what's crazy is
- 15:08Speaker 1: they just put a video out? Do you see that
- 15:11Speaker 1: video that just came out that they confirmed is real.
- 15:14Speaker 1: It's like a naval ship and they have like their
- 15:16Speaker 1: radar thing and the government said it's like a real video.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I know because I've been meeting people that have seen
- 15:23Speaker 1: it. It It was in the sky that but UFO. No,
- 15:25Speaker 1: it was a UFO in the sky over the water
- 15:28Speaker 1: and then it dived down into the water and disappeared.
- 15:30Speaker 1: That's what I saw. That's what I saw. Yeah, I'm
- 15:35Speaker 1: not kidding bro like and Obama just came out two
- 15:38Speaker 1: days ago and said that the ship is real. There's UFOs.
- 15:40Speaker 1: So I don't know exactly what it was, but I
- 15:43Speaker 1: know that that wasn't something that I was normal. I've
- 15:45Speaker 1: never seen it again. I was only I only seen
- 15:47Speaker 1: it on shrooms. So ever since, I've been wanting to, like,
- 15:51Speaker 1: you know, I've just been wanting to see some shit
- 15:53Speaker 1: like that again. But I feel like you can only
- 15:55Speaker 1: crack those levels maybe on like the right amount of shrooms.
- 15:58Speaker 1: You Yeah, I think that they're I mean, listen, I
- 16:00Speaker 1: mean there's no proven science, but I think if you something,
- 16:04Speaker 1: something gets unlocked in your brain, maybe you could see
- 16:07Speaker 1: things a little bit different. You know, your third eye
- 16:08Speaker 1: gets a little I don't know, man, I mean you
- 16:11Speaker 1: know how shit starts melting sometimes when you're on shruck. Oh,
- 16:14Speaker 1: I know, like one time my whole fridge was melting,
- 16:17Speaker 1: Like I looked at left sliding down I'm like, what
- 16:20Speaker 1: is going on? Yeah, the last time I did shrooms,
- 16:22Speaker 1: I was in Texas and me and Freddie Gibbs were
- 16:25Speaker 1: at a bar fucked up and there was some chick
- 16:28Speaker 1: dancing by herself and her face was censored like she
- 16:31Speaker 1: was on Cops. What Her face was all scrambled and
- 16:34Speaker 1: shit like, like, you know, like there was a censor
- 16:36Speaker 1: like her face was censored. And I was like, Bro,
- 16:39Speaker 1: I was like, bro, you see this bitch like in
- 16:41Speaker 1: my tripping or is her face fucking like she looks
- 16:44Speaker 1: like she's on an episode of Cops? And did he
- 16:45Speaker 1: see it? I don't think he. So I was really
- 16:49Speaker 1: fucked up. He wasn't as fuck. I was fucked That
- 16:51Speaker 1: was a rough night for me. That was one of
- 16:53Speaker 1: the worst nights in my life as far as just
- 16:54Speaker 1: freaking the fuck out. But yeah, that was yeah. Yeah.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I think you know what's interesting because you do hear
- 16:59Speaker 1: that a lot. When people do it together, they usually
- 17:01Speaker 1: see the same shit we just had. Wiz was telling
- 17:05Speaker 1: us that about his mom. He said, him and his
- 17:07Speaker 1: mom they did trooms together at Coachella and they saw
- 17:10Speaker 1: all the same I would love to do shrems with
- 17:13Speaker 1: my mom. That's lit Hey, what up man? How to

- 18:11Speaker 1: Would your mom do shrooms with you? Probably not. She's
- 18:14Speaker 1: like kind of She's like, oh no, I can't do that.
- 18:18Speaker 1: She's like one of those what's your ethnicity? She's Italian,
- 18:21Speaker 1: My mom's Italian. Okay, what about your dad? My dad
- 18:23Speaker 1: is Puerto Rican and a little bit of black and white,
- 18:27Speaker 1: well a little bit of black and Native American. But
- 18:31Speaker 1: so it's like a mix. But you came up in Boston,
- 18:34Speaker 1: which is a dope city. It's an interesting city. I've
- 18:39Speaker 1: been there a lot, so I know a lot about Boston.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I mean, I love it. I love little Italy there,
- 18:43Speaker 1: special time food I ever had, by the way, shout
- 18:45Speaker 1: out to Boston. But it's also like kind of perceived
- 18:48Speaker 1: as like a racist city. Kind it is? Is it
- 18:51Speaker 1: a racist city? Is perceived that way? It's perceived that way. Yeah,
- 18:54Speaker 1: it's like that in some places though, because you know,
- 18:56Speaker 1: it's it's kind of like we just think of like
- 18:59Speaker 1: drunk white Irish dudes out there. They have those, you know,
- 19:03Speaker 1: you watch The Departed and Ship and you're like, is
- 19:06Speaker 1: everyone like whether there's townies and they does everyone sound
- 19:09Speaker 1: like Bill Berwin? They talk? No, No, they do. They
- 19:13Speaker 1: sound You know what I hate about people. They don't
- 19:16Speaker 1: think that Boston has like any culture that Massachusetts has,
- 19:19Speaker 1: like any black so Latinos like there's a lot of
- 19:22Speaker 1: culture out there. Of course, it's just in its own areas.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Like yeah, I mean, look, I mean we're talking about Elier.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I love Lawrence. Lawrence is a dope area. Yeah, Lawrence
- 19:31Speaker 1: is all Puerto Ricans and Dominicans. Hey, terminologies from Boston
- 19:35Speaker 1: and he's Puerto Rican. Yeah, fuck with him. Shout out
- 19:37Speaker 1: a term. One of the most underrated dudes. He's a legend,
- 19:41Speaker 1: a legend for sure. And then there's like Ben, let's
- 19:44Speaker 1: give him as flowers. Well, he's right here. Let me
- 19:46Speaker 1: tell you something about terminology static statics selected nineteen eighty two.
- 19:50Speaker 1: You know what I mean. Shout out to my God,
- 19:52Speaker 1: good dad, gang, go buy fucking terminology from Boston their
- 19:55Speaker 1: flowers right now. Let's give the Celtics their flowers? Are
- 19:58Speaker 1: we gonna give the Ruins there you've been and Cam
- 20:02Speaker 1: Newton his flowers? Yes, because it's cooys down and that's
- 20:05Speaker 1: my girl. Shout Everybody from Boston gets they flowers. Yeah,
- 20:12Speaker 1: Coiler Ray shout out to Coiler Ray Man. She's doing
- 20:15Speaker 1: her thing. Yeah, that's my girl. Yeah, she's I love
- 20:17Speaker 1: her energy, very positive, she's just having fun. You know
- 20:20Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I love it. Yeah, Boston is Yeah,
- 20:23Speaker 1: you know, there's there's so many legendary cool people from Boston.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Static selected one of the greatest hipocoatless of
- 20:29Speaker 1: all time and my brother Man, I love that guy. Man.
- 20:31Speaker 1: So it's crazy because it's such a boombap hip hop city.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Like I feel like you come out of Boston, like
- 20:36Speaker 1: you got to have a real respect for like the
- 20:38Speaker 1: art form, you know what I'm saying. Like, and I
- 20:41Speaker 1: don't feel like a lot of artists who are your
- 20:43Speaker 1: peers have that luxury of coming from that background, you
- 20:48Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, because it's a different generation. You know,
- 20:51Speaker 1: gen Z is a little different. They don't really respect
- 20:54Speaker 1: like the new generation is, Like I don't funk about
- 20:58Speaker 1: them old heads like Knowing and their biggest affluences are
- 21:01Speaker 1: Chief Keith and Soldier Boy, and I like Chief Keith
- 21:04Speaker 1: and Story. Yeah of course. But I also I respect
- 21:07Speaker 1: music I grew up on like NAS and like, you know,
- 21:10Speaker 1: real rap. So what's your okay? How about this besides Zillmatic?
- 21:15Speaker 1: What's your favorite NAS album? Still Madic, still Manic? I
- 21:20Speaker 1: respect it. I respect it. The Lost Tapes too, Oh
- 21:25Speaker 1: I could. I could definitely run back the Lost Tapes
- 21:27Speaker 1: and pop first, No, the first Lost tapes. Okay I didn't.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I was hoping you didn't say Lost Tapes too, because
- 21:32Speaker 1: part two of Lost Tapes that came out a couple
- 21:34Speaker 1: years ago was No, I'm talking about first Lost Tapes,
- 21:37Speaker 1: Lost Tapes, the original Rags Purple. Yeah, like I love
- 21:42Speaker 1: like Laser fifty. Blazer fifty is one of the best
- 21:45Speaker 1: storytelling songs ever. That's the one thing when I when
- 21:49Speaker 1: I never I talked to Nas next, I want to
- 21:51Speaker 1: ask like that anymore. I want to ask nas what
- 21:53Speaker 1: what what girl was Blaze of fifty about? Because she
- 21:56Speaker 1: fucked someone on the Broncos during their Super Bowl run
- 21:59Speaker 1: and she fucked you, so who was it? I think
- 22:01Speaker 1: she said what she used to fuck to Real Davis
- 22:03Speaker 1: from the Broncos on that song. Shout out to Nas man.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I have to run that one back. Who's your favorite?
- 22:09Speaker 1: If you had to give me your top five all time?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Who is it? Top five? I hate that question favorite
- 22:15Speaker 1: not greatest of all time? Because you know, there's two
- 22:17Speaker 1: different questions. I got artists that are my family question.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Like every time I put push a t I put
- 22:24Speaker 1: push the tea, so higo on my favorites of all time,
- 22:26Speaker 1: and people get offended because I put them above like
- 22:28Speaker 1: Lil Wayne. But what I'd be like, bro, it's my
- 22:31Speaker 1: favorite like people that are my favorites as people or
- 22:34Speaker 1: people like your favorite as music, not as people. I
- 22:38Speaker 1: can't put that into five. Give me just throw some
- 22:41Speaker 1: names you don't even get maybe maybe like three, give
- 22:43Speaker 1: me three names, no order, no order, Rihanna, aliya, Okay,
- 22:51Speaker 1: give me some rappers I want. I want to talking
- 22:54Speaker 1: hip hop here. Okay, I don't have to reread. We
- 22:57Speaker 1: need some music for music. It's been too long, Okay.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I just don't want to be cliche. You know what
- 23:06Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like I really like Okay, Like I would
- 23:11Speaker 1: put jay Z up there because, like I just I mean,
- 23:15Speaker 1: he's He's jay Z. He wraps really good. I would
- 23:22Speaker 1: put Drake up there because Drake's penn to me. I
- 23:28Speaker 1: finally met Drake two weeks ago. He had he had
- 23:31Speaker 1: the softest hands ever. I gave him a dap and
- 23:34Speaker 1: I was like, I just felt like I dapped up
- 23:38Speaker 1: a pillow, Like what kind of explos I just yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 1: he gotta be doing something. I gotta get some hand masks.
- 23:45Speaker 1: He's the only artist I've ever met that I felt
- 23:47Speaker 1: had an actual like aura around him. Like I was like, Oh,
- 23:52Speaker 1: that's because he rapped so good. Yes, me and Freddie
- 23:55Speaker 1: Gives met him meta some some bar over here and
- 23:58Speaker 1: we got we took shots with him, and I was like, Yo,
- 24:00Speaker 1: this guy's glowing. You know what I'm saying. Maybe it's
- 24:02Speaker 1: the skin routine, but super nice guys. So drake cove
- 24:05Speaker 1: give me one more name. Mm I just don't want
- 24:16Speaker 1: to get like ridiculed. You won't come on. Who gives
- 24:19Speaker 1: a fuck? Fuck the internet? Okay, and no, I'm really
- 24:29Speaker 1: really thinking about this because, like I'm going down. There's
- 24:31Speaker 1: a couple of people that throw a couple names out there. Okay.
- 24:34Speaker 1: I love Travis, I love Future, I love Little Babies.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Rowdy Rich's music is crazy to me. Those are like
- 24:41Speaker 1: some of my favorite artists. I listen to them all
- 24:43Speaker 1: the time in the rap world. Who would you say,
- 24:47Speaker 1: personally has influenced your style the most? Me? You? Okay?
- 24:55Speaker 1: Oh and wait, time out, time out. I forgot somebody
- 24:58Speaker 1: really high on my list that I have to throw
- 24:59Speaker 1: up there because he hasn't put on music in a
- 25:01Speaker 1: really long time, but when he does, I'm waiting to
- 25:03Speaker 1: hear it. Kendrick. I forgot Kendrick, but don't ever let
- 25:07Speaker 1: me forget Kendrick again. Kendrick is ah. I always tell
- 25:10Speaker 1: people he's top five all time, no debate, because if
- 25:15Speaker 1: you're putting Biggie in your top five and big he
- 25:17Speaker 1: only put out two albums, you gotta put Kendrick in
- 25:19Speaker 1: your shit because he's put out classic, classic, classic. Good
- 25:22Speaker 1: Kid Mass City was one of the most incredibly constructed
- 25:26Speaker 1: bodies of work I've ever heard in my entire life.
- 25:29Speaker 1: I don't disagree. The first time I heard backseat freestyle,
- 25:34Speaker 1: I almost jumped out the window, like out the car
- 25:38Speaker 1: in a moving car on the highway. You didn't it
- 25:42Speaker 1: right now, yah, or you'd be here. You would just
- 25:44Speaker 1: look fucked up, like what happened to be a man?
- 25:47Speaker 1: Her face is all fucked up. She jumps out of
- 25:49Speaker 1: a vehicle fifty miles an hour. Wow, it was good
- 25:52Speaker 1: Kid mass City? Yeah, it was Ayle. What I mean?
- 25:56Speaker 1: I know that festivals are coming up, finally, shows are
- 26:00Speaker 1: opening back up, thank god, thank god. I know you
- 26:03Speaker 1: have some big shows that you're on coming up. In
- 26:05Speaker 1: this it was the summertime. What are some of that
- 26:09Speaker 1: which ones. Are you looking forward to the most? Looking
- 26:12Speaker 1: forward to the most rolling loud Lollapalooza. Yeah, both of
- 26:16Speaker 1: those are crazy. The rolling Loud lineup is almost unfair.
- 26:21Speaker 1: It's like, who is not on that show? It looks
- 26:24Speaker 1: so fun it almost looks fake. It's such a good lineup.
- 26:29Speaker 1: I'm happy. I'm happy to be on it. You're gonna
- 26:32Speaker 1: really fuck that show up. I was gonna say, do
- 26:34Speaker 1: you do like when you do a festival show that
- 26:37Speaker 1: is for a big crowd that maybe not everyone's there
- 26:40Speaker 1: just for you as opposed to when you do a
- 26:41Speaker 1: b a show, do you do you approach them differently
- 26:44Speaker 1: or is it the same vibe? No matter what? Nah,
- 26:47Speaker 1: I go to fuck up every show every time I
- 26:49Speaker 1: have a show, like I'm going, I'm I'm taking people
- 26:54Speaker 1: with me. You crowds forever? No, because I wear like
- 26:57Speaker 1: jewelry and I have titties and I don't want to
- 26:58Speaker 1: wait to grab Yeah, I feel like it be it's
- 27:00Speaker 1: tough for chicks to CrowdSurf. I just saw some girl
- 27:02Speaker 1: CrowdSurf who didn't get growth. Who was it, I don't know,
- 27:05Speaker 1: but I was like, hey, good, good for those. It
- 27:07Speaker 1: depends like it depends what I'm wearing if I were CrowdSurf,
- 27:09Speaker 1: because if I had heels, I wouldn't CrowdSurf if I
- 27:11Speaker 1: had like you know, some I I'm not crowdsurfing. Don't
- 27:15Speaker 1: want to nip slip popping up. He Yeah, I don't
- 27:17Speaker 1: want to nip slip. That's fair, that's fair. Who is
- 27:21Speaker 1: it that you're like, I know you got a lot
- 27:24Speaker 1: of records in the chamber right now. Can you give
- 27:27Speaker 1: us a little revelation on maybe some records you got
- 27:31Speaker 1: with some other artists that you're excited for people to hear.
- 27:33Speaker 1: I got a song coming out with g Herbal in
- 27:35Speaker 1: the streets is asking me for it's sweatie hmmm. Ge
- 27:39Speaker 1: Herbo is a good dude. Yeah, he's fine. So you
- 27:42Speaker 1: got the g Herbal record coming, Yeah, it's stupid. Then
- 27:45Speaker 1: I got some joints with my girl, Iggy. Oh Iggy.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Do you know? Iggy's one of the nicest people I've
- 27:51Speaker 1: ever met. She's so nice. I always you know, she
- 27:54Speaker 1: gets a lot of criticism and you know, however you
- 27:58Speaker 1: feel about her and her music, But when I met her,
- 28:00Speaker 1: I was like, yo, you're like the sweetest girl, Like like,
- 28:02Speaker 1: you know, she I feel like genuine. A lot of people,
- 28:05Speaker 1: you know, the media, hip hop in general, probably paints
- 28:08Speaker 1: her in an unfair light because if you meet her,
- 28:10Speaker 1: he'd be like, she's such a sweetheart. Facts, that's how
- 28:13Speaker 1: I felt. So you and Iggy have multiple songs, We
- 28:17Speaker 1: have a couple, maybe a little project, little joint project.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Oh no, not that. But we got went off mine,
- 28:21Speaker 1: I got one off hers and they're both fire. What
- 28:23Speaker 1: about any more music with Russ? No, but we are
- 28:26Speaker 1: going to We just spoke about that. Actually, gotta be fire,
- 28:31Speaker 1: gotta be yeah. I got some other stuff coming out.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I don't want to give all the tea away. And
- 28:35Speaker 1: you you said that you put Rihanna's your all time?
- 28:37Speaker 1: How how awesome was it to know that Rihanna heard
- 28:40Speaker 1: your music like that? You know she she was a
- 28:42Speaker 1: fan of Best on her Like, that's got to be
- 28:43Speaker 1: a big fucking deal deal. She's like the goddess of
- 28:47Speaker 1: this show. She didn't get no bigger, no better than Rihanna.
- 28:49Speaker 1: To me, I always have arguments with people. And I
- 28:52Speaker 1: love Beyonce. I love her right, She's the greatest entertainer
- 28:56Speaker 1: probably of our generation. But I love Rihanna's music so
- 28:59Speaker 1: much more. I love both. I love both too, but
- 29:03Speaker 1: that versus But like, why do people do that, Like
- 29:05Speaker 1: why do people be like, oh I love this person,
- 29:07Speaker 1: it's really just my wife I argue with about this.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Oh my god. I hate when people do that because
- 29:12Speaker 1: it's like I Liken, it's harder than Beyonce. No, you're
- 29:15Speaker 1: fucking grand, Like you gotta just let them both do
- 29:17Speaker 1: what they do, you know what I'm saying. That's what people.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I hate when people compare, not compare me because I
- 29:23Speaker 1: take comparisons like in a good way now, because I'd
- 29:25Speaker 1: be like, oh, she's beautiful, That's a nice compliment whatever,
- 29:28Speaker 1: you know, I don't take it bad. But I feel
- 29:30Speaker 1: like when it comes to the artistry, like you gotta
- 29:33Speaker 1: let people. I like when people let me do what
- 29:35Speaker 1: I do, Like, don't don't put me in that. You know.
- 29:37Speaker 1: What I like nowadays is I'm sure when you first
- 29:40Speaker 1: came out, I mean, every female rapper was getting compared
- 29:43Speaker 1: to Nikki. But now there's so many successful, thriving artists
- 29:47Speaker 1: that the comparison she's going away. You don't hear that anymore.
- 29:50Speaker 1: I get it, you get it? Who do you like? Like? Like,
- 29:52Speaker 1: what do you people just do it with like looks
- 29:55Speaker 1: online like on the Internet. People will always be like,
- 29:57Speaker 1: oh yeah, the Internet, you be on there like you
- 30:01Speaker 1: like on like look reading comments and ship. Sometimes sometimes
- 30:05Speaker 1: when I'm bored, like no, because sometimes you get it.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Getting in the comments and comments is ruthless. I hit block, Like,
- 30:11Speaker 1: if I really have a problem with something, I will
- 30:12Speaker 1: block it. Yeah, I'm a spitual blocker energy like me too.
- 30:16Speaker 1: You're not going to come into my house and tell
- 30:18Speaker 1: me you don't like my curtains. Somebody my comments was
- 30:20Speaker 1: some bullshit that block I used to engage. I used
- 30:23Speaker 1: to fight with trumpers and shade on my comments. I like,
- 30:25Speaker 1: you know what, fuck these I'm just block. Block game
- 30:28Speaker 1: is strong. How many people do you think you have
- 30:30Speaker 1: blocked totally? Oh? At least a thousand? A thousand Probably
- 30:35Speaker 1: that's fair. I probably deserved it too, Probably deserved it.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Say something I don't like and you're getting blocked because
- 30:41Speaker 1: it's like why would why would you say? Why would
- 30:44Speaker 1: you come into my into my environment in disrespect my advice.
- 30:48Speaker 1: That's like me saying I don't think you should have
- 30:50Speaker 1: this TV here, you should move that TV over there.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I'd be like, well, she's a female who probably has
- 30:55Speaker 1: better interior. Would you probably have better taste than me?
- 31:00Speaker 1: So I might, I might listen to you. You better
- 31:02Speaker 1: not letting no girl come in here, try to move
- 31:04Speaker 1: your TV. Now. My wife, she could move it wherever
- 31:07Speaker 1: she wants. Just your wife. You know what I'm saying.
- 31:09Speaker 1: That's it. That's happy wife, Happy life. One hund Yeah
