And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:39
“Second, also, like it: You will love the ‘neighbor, yours’ as yourself.” (CG)
In the previous verse, Jesus, referring to His citation of Deuteronomy 6:5, said that it is the first and great commandment. This answered the jurisprudent’s question, but Jesus has more to say before finishing, saying, “Second, also, like it.”
