- 0:01we lose all that gold content still there and now we're just talking all
- 0:05over Luke he's trying to do his intro to do my in I have no that's okay I had no
- 0:10idea what I was saying this week I was going to complain about my
- 0:12tattoo welcome to multiple
- 0:16nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and
- 0:20Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All
- 0:26Things nerdy
- 0:34because I saw on social media that you were getting a tattoo and you can
- 0:37complain about it I got two tattoos okay
- 0:40I got W til's helmet okay okay and I got R hunter's helmet okay so that's the
- 0:47left and the right testicle yes yes well no actually I've got rickun so it's a
- 0:52robotic helmet on my left sort of here which is very
- 0:57hard pointing to his testicles yes Mak it very hard when leaning on a chair and
- 1:02I keep knocking it at the moment he's
- 1:04testicle but is what it is yeah a
- 1:09testicle why is that VB red oh this is
- 1:13VX strength M okay so it's got more alcohol content but it's in a Throwdown
- 1:19size yeah VB looked at their demographic and went what a people want more
- 1:25of they want to get drunk quicker we will make bottle smaller we've got two
- 1:30options one we could make it taste better or two we could just Fu
- 1:36off I'm joking I'm joking joking I'm joking no it's got a very bad rep
- 1:42reputation it's got a reputation it's be snobs just look down on VB just cuz it's
- 1:48a cool thing to do yeah see somewhat of a beer snob but I not really depends
- 1:54where you go you know workingclass people look down on it now too mate
- 1:57really yeah they're all on there XP and stuff now okay you want to know what's
- 2:02weird I went to Melbourne like Victoria and could not find VB on to were you
- 2:08bitter about it I was very bitter there's the champagne
- 2:15comedy so we've got some follow-up news this week yes and I I want to talk about
- 2:22the charity one the Open Hand charity cuz there's more stuff about that which
- 2:25is I meant to put that in yeah it's very different to what we were thinking last
- 2:31week when they're going hey these guys ra money but they still kept the money
- 2:36it's all fine like it's it's not great but but now it's sort of come out that
- 2:40maybe they haven't kept all the money yeah I saw KL posted an up a video
- 2:46saying it's worse than we thought I was like oh I mean how bad could it be it's
- 2:49very bad potentially potentially yes so evidently like while the money from like
- 2:56one of their sort of streams money all the stuff we we talked about last time
- 3:02is accounted for it's according to their tax returns
- 3:07it's in a bank account yeah so that's fine ever lies on their taxs so what's
- 3:14the problem then Luke well they that's not the only place where they raise
- 3:18money there other ways like they have this golf tournament thing that they run
- 3:22every year whichh even when they were getting how much in the past they used
- 3:28to say hey we raised 10 to 30 ,000 but then they sort of stopped announcing
- 3:32that but that money is not accounted for at all yeah and there are some years
- 3:36apparently where it could be up to like 60 Grand is just gone and then somewhere
- 3:43other things where what this charity has been taking
- 3:46grants from other Charities as well yes from Jam Lee curtis' charity yeah took
- 3:5225 Grand they got one year where's that gone yeah not the and they they've just
- 3:59gone radio silent now they came out and made sort of one thing but now it's just
- 4:04nothing and I think way car's explaining
- 4:07it is goes like you could sort of not for it's now very dodgy like now it's
- 4:14they're hiding something simple mistake he at first they were like why aren't they get why
- 4:19aren't they just addressing this why don't they just give the money to the
- 4:22Charities that they said like this is could to be so simple to fix why are
- 4:25they just like hiding and then it turns out probably because they were like [ __ ]
- 4:30hopefully no one notices no not that money that the money that they're
- 4:34talking about in this video that's fine hopefully they don't notice the other
- 4:36stuff or we're [ __ ] yeah the That was cuz in the golf tournament like they'll
- 4:41have people buy like you know how you have like a a charity thing and like
- 4:45companies will buy tables MH sure so some companies like $8,000 each on a
- 4:51table and there's quite a bit so that's all there that money not accounted for
- 4:55anymore just collected moved into really nice houses during time and started
- 5:00driving really nice cars like are we are we literally thinking they embezzled the
- 5:05money and are spending them on themselves is that I mean he stops short
- 5:08of like saying you know we don't know what they did with it he said but he
- 5:12said at this point the authorities need to investigate because it's very
- 5:17suspicious yeah and it's also sort of hard with especially with YouTubers like
- 5:22yes they might start going to nice houses but a lot of YouTubers do do that
- 5:26yeah without Charities and the guy um what's his name the completionist who's
- 5:32kind of the the face of it on YouTube he's a very successful YouTuber and
- 5:36presumably makes a lot of money at that so it's just yeah yeah so so yeah we
- 5:42have to wait and see but yeah because yeah I don't think it is just a nice
- 5:45simple we got it I don't think it's an accident anymore as what I was sort of
- 5:50thinking last week that people got bit confused surely as you say there is some
- 5:54money there why don't they just distribute that so that takes the
- 5:58pressure off like a week ago before they started looking deeper into it yeah I
- 6:02think he was saying that they were he the theory is he was just hoping that if
- 6:08they just shut up and don't do anything maybe it'll go away but if they start
- 6:12giving out the money it's going to draw more attention to it because then people
- 6:16be like I have a different the like they've been wrong I have a different
- 6:20the I think they're holding on to it now because they know they're going to be
- 6:23investigated and they need some money to show for it and they can try and Fiddle
- 6:27the books a little bit and cuz um the thing with the golf tournament is that
- 6:32the sponsors are not you know like people on the internet the sponsors are
- 6:36Monster Energy Drink cocacola [ __ ] like big companies and
- 6:42if they find out you misused money that they gave you for charity that could be
- 6:47a big problem for you mhm because they got legal teams that will destroy you
- 6:53because then they might get in trouble you know what I mean so they're just
- 6:55going to be like well you're [ __ ] you not taking any responsibility for thisit
- 6:59well yeah like we donated that money we we want that money back and we will
- 7:03actually donate it yeah
- 7:08yeah so yeah it's all a bit of a mess it's crazy but it's it's all still a weird
- 7:14one where they looks like money has gone but there's still money in the account
- 7:18like it's not like just a straight of taken everything type of thing which is
- 7:23normally yeah I wonder know what the
- 7:27[ __ ] are they doing like are you doing like it's weird a lot of things like
- 7:32this what tend to happen is people sort of will take a little bit out of the
- 7:36fund and go oh I got away with it and then slot turns into their their account
- 7:41and then oh it's all gone yeah yeah and he like I mean they were
- 7:47pretty good about it too because they were saying the golf tournament's been
- 7:49going for a while and it wasn't until this open hand
- 7:53charity was founded in what 2016 or 17 and then it started getting included on
- 8:00the um posters as this is where the money's going so what he's saying is the
- 8:04golf tournament could have been a scam or whatever it is for 15 years before
- 8:10that for all we know there's no way of knowing but what we do know is looking
- 8:13at the tax returns for the open hand charity the money didn't go there so
- 8:18where is it and they sort of it was weird like they used to announce how
- 8:21much money they got but the second that came part of things they stopped
- 8:25announcing how much money they were making at for it so weird
- 8:30yeah guys we couldn't even make money off our Kickstarter like I
- 8:34know terrible at investing money I know that's like you know self congratulatory
- 8:40but we like we are too honest I could never do something like that I just no
- 8:44we don't care about money like I wean we we each have a little bit we I
- 8:51care people I certainly wouldn't say oh you know my it's dementia cuz my mom
- 8:56died of dementia and I'm just so heartbroken cuz I've love my mom and
- 9:00it's a scam but like G that's gross yeah if we were to raise money we would
- 9:05donate it all immediately because that's just what you do that's the whole idea
- 9:10behind it I wouldn't want it sitting around no to be honest no no yeah we
- 9:15would launder that money as quickly as we could too tempting clean that up yeah
- 9:21I would throw the money in the back of my Ferrari which doesn't have a back
- 9:25yeah that's right it's got a front in the basement of your new house that's
- 9:28right take it to the bank and say put this in my bank account I mean my
- 9:33charity bank account MH see there's some fall news if we hear
- 9:39anything else we might talk about it again because it's just it's so
- 9:42weird I'm just fascinated by we hear about it again I guarantee it there'll
- 9:47be more coming out of this oh yeah I would assume so yeah well
- 9:51Carl's not goingon to let it go also ordinary gamer is going to be
- 9:58doing another video about it too which will get even more attention to I think
- 10:02he's got an even bigger audience than Kyle ordinary gam got a huge audience so
- 10:07yeah and evidently say he goes into a bit more detail MH yeah we watched the entertainment
- 10:14portion of it he goes into do yeah Carl's like the highlights for me yeah
- 10:19it's like this is what I need to know and then if I want to go yeah know more
- 10:23I'll go watch yeah depends how invested I am how much time I have listen episode
- 10:29of multiple gasm brought to you by Carl jobst just kidding we do need to support
- 10:34him cuz remember he is getting Su and it's costing him a lot of money yeah
- 10:37he's being Su by Billy Mitchell Dan okay for saying bad [ __ ] about him
- 10:43correct no for say the truth yes yeah that he was a cheat that he's a cheat
- 10:48and she' have his title script yeah well I mean I'll say it you're gonna come at
- 10:51me Billy he might I love you Billy I do love you who Billy targets seems to be quite
- 10:58random sure I think he goes after people that he thinks are are big enough that he can
- 11:03sort of people take notice of but not big enough that he can worry about them
- 11:07having the financial things to support like if you look at um Mo critical he
- 11:12calls him out all the time and goes assumi but I think Billy knows that he
- 11:16does have sport words Carl is had to raise a lot of money to fight yeah he
- 11:20had to do a um oh really that's uh that's not good uh or something yeah
- 11:25yeah for legal things yeah and it's a lot of money to defend it yeah cuz
- 11:32that's the Billy Mitchell's got money calm down Billy calm down he will not
- 11:38this is all he has restaurant's going well you had your moment you had your 15
- 11:41minutes we think you're funny all he had to do was just go look I didn't cheat I
- 11:46don't know what they're talking about and just leave it at that and still go
- 11:49around calling proof was what condemned him yes like just kept bringing it back
- 11:55and trying to be just just go it's all lies doesn't matter if on the twin
- 11:59Galaxy's website it's a website that's right it's not official
- 12:04and I think well it is official it's not official though is it like it's not like
- 12:10no it's not the Guinness Book of Records right but even the Guinness Book of
- 12:14Records record it's it's not even official too you Guin book records
- 12:18there's different types of Records but like we can give out official records if
- 12:22we want and you pay them and they will come and officiate over you getting your
- 12:27record like it's not like they're not to has pushed Ane with their yeah and if
- 12:33you give them money then they'll come and watch you do it and go yeah he did
- 12:37it but like it's not they're not you
- 12:40know altruistic or anything it's like that video by
- 12:46galaxies it's very similar that's what I'm saying is that it's kind of the same
- 12:49thing yeah it's like there's a video by
- 12:53H bomag guy about the o sound did you watch that video no sound from
- 13:00Roblox Jesus Christ this video goes for like 3 hours but it's heard something
- 13:05about it because it turns into him investigating the guy who claims to have
- 13:10made that sound originally and it goes on to this guy's
- 13:15just like full of [ __ ] and it's a similar thing where he's got all these
- 13:20he's got he says he's got seven Guinness World Records but like two of them are
- 13:25duplicates cuz he just got certificates for the same thing and so there ones
- 13:29that he just paid to have them issue to him for like some obscurant thing and
- 13:35like yeah what funny I actually probably hir Twin Galaxies to a higher standard
- 13:39that I would against Book of World Records well I personally probably would as well just
- 13:45cuz more attention to that over the years well a lot of even if you look at
- 13:49a lot of speed running sort of records and stuff I'll probably hold them to a
- 13:52higher standard because they do do investigation and make sure that that's
- 13:56right yeah they bust those just take him a VHS tape and they'll put you on the
- 14:00this I got to say the the way I've seen videos of them how they caught people
- 14:05cheating at speedruns far out man they put so much effort into like making sure
- 14:10that stuff's legit MH and then recording when they confront them so for for you
- 14:17know for posterity like so that you can you know have it on record what they
- 14:21said I think I fell into s watching that from Carl's Channel when he was starting
- 14:25to talk about it and some CH where I saw it yeah and they'll go like some and
- 14:30they every time they find a new way of people shating there's just a new way
- 14:34that comes out so like they're splicing a records and they start to be able to
- 14:37find out with like the audio is a good giveaway a lot of time when the video
- 14:40been spliced and then it would be something like if you go on this screen
- 14:45this icon should be here and not here or it's yeah there was one where they
- 14:49confronted this guy and they were like at 30 minutes and 47 seconds this
- 14:55counter down in the bottom corner jumps 2 seconds M like what happened there and
- 15:01the guy's like oh I don't know and they're like well that's a problem we
- 15:05know what happened yeah but yeah they spent hundreds of
- 15:10hours going into this I won't even cheat at a video game only I'm playing you
- 15:15know what I mean like yeah ick dodgy about that I guess it's like for and cuz
- 15:19some of these games it's like the Call of Duty zombie like who gives a [ __ ]
- 15:23yeah who gives a [ __ ] well that's why like it's just you get bragging rights
- 15:28to be on the best for something that it's only really big in your community I
- 15:33mean I guess it's the same with sports and drugs right and I thought it was
- 15:36very interesting in Schwarzenegger's book when he said yeah I took steroids
- 15:42you know why because everyone started taking steroids and I wasn't going to
- 15:45let my morality around drugs stop me from winning like if the guy who was g
- 15:51if a guy was going to beat me because he took steroids and I didn't well then it
- 15:54was a no-brainer I'm taking steroids yeah yeah that is I don't video games
- 15:59just I think it's different feels different it's but there's big money in
- 16:05it it's because you care about it selling cheats well and it's ironic Luke
- 16:09because you are a [ __ ] cheat I am not a cheat how have I cheated console
- 16:15commands two words they're in the game commands like EA they're in the game all
- 16:21the codes are in the game mate you [ __ ] with him it's called cheating no
- 16:24I but I don't have to hack to get the console command it's just I your
- 16:29definition of hack my friend I pushed the what it Tilda key till key what is
- 16:34it till Swinton the Swinton key snon key y I hit that I'm there I type in the
- 16:40code the androgeno yeah yeah it's not
- 16:45cheating look before we move completely away from lawsuits um I really don't
- 16:51want to give Alex Jones much air time on our show because he doesn't [ __ ]
- 16:54deserve it and I also don't Goblin I don't
- 17:01oh man I just why did anyone ever listen to this man is what I want to know I
- 17:07don't know beyond comedy purposes he play no he plays on people's fears of
- 17:12goblin the thing is like like he had a real platform though
- 17:18like like a legitimate platform he still does yeah scary does he is he he has he
- 17:24been quite quiet recently I would be if I I thought he was still doing stuff I
- 17:28thought went straight from court to complain about court on TV on his TV
- 17:32well I mean it seems like his his complaining worked because the victims
- 17:36of Sandy Hook who was suing him um into back rumpy
- 17:41have backed off and said fine we don't want to bankrupt you you can pay I think
- 17:47it's a sixth of the Court ruling they're
- 17:50going to be satisfied with um 6% but not a six
- 17:566% bankrupt him because he he's not going to be normal people bankrupt he's
- 18:01going to be rich person bankrupt which means I don't know about that I thought
- 18:04they found that he couldn't um he was not shielded I thought
- 18:11because I don't remember the specifics I saw an article recently I think actually
- 18:14Trump's having the same issues now where because of the way that they did things
- 18:18they're not shielded the way they probably thought they would
- 18:21be from like you know like like if you they say in America if you have an LLC
- 18:26like a lied liability company that Shields you from from legal issues but if I say I start
- 18:31an LLC and we put this show on there and I come on here and I start [ __ ]
- 18:35saying [ __ ] about somebody that's like clearly not what would you say Matt just
- 18:38for example say for example you know I said uh Franklin jela was a you know a
- 18:44monster um and he can still sue me right I've
- 18:50got an LLC doesn't matter I said it I think that's the issue that Alex Jones
- 18:55is having is it's not his company that did this like he did it he got on there
- 18:58and he did it with his own voice kind of thing yeah but what I'm saying is he's
- 19:02that he gets he gets back but he's still got his company like he he he would be rich
- 19:09person bankrupt like he will still have stuff he will still he's not going to be
- 19:14work I thought they said he was literally going to be
- 19:17like that's what he said okay that is what he said maybe that was just a
- 19:22pleasant dream that I had cuz he was trying to say he was he
- 19:27would be completely ruing all this and and then the judge basically went but
- 19:30you just transferred all this money to here yeah well so now he essentially is
- 19:36being advised by his lawyers to just [ __ ] take this deal because he he
- 19:41hasn't actually paid any money yet no he would be crazy not to take this deal
- 19:46they're like you could you can just pay this 6% this will literally be over 6%
- 19:52of5 billion 1.5 billion let's work what
- 19:56is that somebody better at math than me
- 20:01cul my hard time fet how many zeros that is 1.5 b n no no I'm just going to let
- 20:07Google figure out what I mean oh yeah good idea I'm not bites 50 million 150
- 20:12million okay times
- 20:15.6 $90 million $90 million it's still quite a bit of money actually [ __ ]
- 20:21hell all right but it's less than 1.5 billion but this just goes to show
- 20:26because to me 90 million is more money than I could possibly spend 1.5 billion
- 20:32is also a very high number they're both just abstracts to me you know somebody
- 20:36told them I owed them 900 million or 1.5 billion i' I'd react the same yeah
- 20:43equally ridiculous in no no other scenario will be you be getting that
- 20:47money I don't have it yeah giving or taking yeah
- 20:54yeah okay so Jones may elect to receive the complete discharge for himself and
- 20:58his parent company also in bankruptcy if he agrees to pay from any Source at
- 21:02least 8.5 million per year plus 50% of he does even have to play a lump sum no
- 21:08plus any plus 50% of any income over $9
- 21:12million per year for 10 years okay but how does that work so his bankrupt
- 21:17personal bankruptcy his company I guess infow Wars is also bankrupt that means
- 21:23he can't trade under Infowars while he's listed as bankrupt so how will he make
- 21:29that money back cuz you you were thinking infow Wars probably does make
- 21:33$10 million a year but they can't right
- 21:36how does no no bankruptcy it's not that it's not an instant you can't do
- 21:42anything it's right cuz yeah I don't quite understand how it
- 21:47works but it's not the second Bank a company bankrupt they're not the second
- 21:52bankrupt it's not instantly they stop trading or anything right you go hey and
- 21:57then they'll bring in creditors and go okay so who do you ow money to what
- 22:01assets do you have and try and work out a way to try and do we get investors to
- 22:06come in who can help sorry you said what to who just after what had happened mate
- 22:11you're a [ __ ] it might be better for them too right like let's just say yeah
- 22:16because I might get something as opposed to zero exactly yeah but here's the
- 22:19thing I I sort of want like this why is saying he's like rich person bankrupt
- 22:24because it's you have to pay this and then you have to pay any income that you
- 22:27make over $9 million yeah you know what that's
- 22:32fine like a year 9 million a year yeah if you make over $9 million that's
- 22:38that's that's ridiculous like they should if you're going to do that make
- 22:41it he has to pay 50% on income he makes over an average person's wage just don't
- 22:47try too hard to make money anymore like just try try $8 million worth of effort
- 22:54like yeah what does million doll worth of effort look like
- 22:59do it just for one year ask me ask never again yeah exactly yeah wouldn't need to
- 23:04do it for more than a year especially you what I'm pretty sure if you add it
- 23:08up if you know at the end of my lifetime all of my salary income it won't add up
- 23:13to $8 million probably seems like a no no you'd be
- 23:17surprised yeah I think it might yeah I don't know guys you wouldn't be
- 23:23like doubling it or anything but no I mean you got it all you got it all in
- 23:26the bank account obviously a yeah I mean4 billion cuz I'm halfway
- 23:31through my life midd right here you go I don't know about did you not get that
- 23:37memo here's the way I look at it we were all exposed to that stuff when we were
- 23:41teenagers remember oh yeah the median
- 23:44income the median income in America is
- 23:48$31,000 so for me if you say the median income is an average person can live off
- 23:53that so 50% of everything that Alex Jones bakes over that he should be paying
- 23:59M fair I think that's fair I agree with that I agree with that well here first
- 24:05that's the deal the deal we're offering him look last week on Airman I I
- 24:11recommended to you a little little podcast called who killed JM do we know
- 24:17who's done it yet oh yeah I do know who's done it not because of this
- 24:20podcast and I [ __ ] I had to stopped listening to it when they when they said
- 24:24that the CIA were grooming Oswald since he was a 15-year-old kid to be a spy
- 24:29later in life I turned it off later in that same day I put it back on because
- 24:33I'm like no no no here out but when they said that his wife was a KGB spy I like
- 24:39I'm out I'm out they let take her to America and then beat her every day yeah
- 24:43yeah I think her dad was the but either way ridiculous no I'm out I'm [ __ ]
- 24:49out you're grasping now and it's always like
- 24:56they I I get it it's like it's very compelling and interesting but like it's
- 25:00always just like one person said this like why are you believing this one
- 25:05person over the 12 other people who said something different that but they even
- 25:09kind of admit that like there's one they played an audio clip from one old
- 25:13[ __ ] ex CIA dude who spilled the beans on one particular thing and then
- 25:17they said you know as soon as that came out New York New York Times did a deep
- 25:22dive expose on how he was lying so I guess they're in on it too right yeah or
- 25:29he's been completely discredited see this is what happens when someone goes
- 25:33in with the outcome already sorted in their head they're not going in
- 25:36open-minded they're going in with this isover do a sketch for YouTube where
- 25:42where the CIA and it's the 60s and we're working out who needs to be involved in
- 25:47the conspiracy and by the end of it it's pretty much everyone a handful of
- 25:51conspiracy theorists who who aren't in on it but we're going to have to have
- 25:55flowers at the at the funeral okay all florists are going to to be in on it
- 26:00then just in case the the one that that got me the most because and they they do
- 26:06this consistently but this was a very very Stark example of as they were
- 26:09talking to somebody and this person was saying
- 26:13that most of the people that the um Warren Commission interviewed after all
- 26:19the interviews that they determined there were three shots fired because
- 26:22that seemed to be the consensus mhm um except there was one guy who said were
- 26:28four shots fired or or maybe more than one but there was like there's some
- 26:31suggesting that maybe there was a fourth shot so I'm getting in his mind there
- 26:35were definitely four but the way they say it is that like the Warren
- 26:39Commission being idiots said there were only three but actually there may have
- 26:43been four and we know that oswal couldn't have fired four because the
- 26:47Warren Commission said that he didn't have done to okay so the Warren
- 26:49Commission was right one thing but not about how many shots they were like what
- 26:54you you can't use them as a source at all if you think they were full of [ __ ]
- 26:59I'm I'm telling you this is like the way flat earthers think as well like this
- 27:05like I'll go to I'll use them as a source to debunk you but then also yeah
- 27:10they said this it's also true so the government are holding back alien bodies
- 27:14and we we we we have to believe because one other dude at the government said
- 27:19that they are okay can the government be trusted or not so I'm I'm like okay so
- 27:24maybe there okay let's just for argument sake say there were four shots and the
- 27:27Warren Commission was wrong why could they not also have been wrong
- 27:30about how long Oswald had maybe Oswald just fired four shots and that's as simple as
- 27:35that yeah I interested maybe the third shot or the actually the first of the
- 27:41three shots that they thought didn't hit anyone and just went straight and hit
- 27:45the pavement maybe it did maybe that didn't maybe that
- 27:49got that's the main evidence for the fourth for the shot yeah for one of the
- 27:54shots having missed was that some guy was like oh something hit me in the face
- 27:59not a bullet mind you bit of shle from a pavement so he thought okay it must have
- 28:03been a bullet that hit the pavement yeah we don't I mean even with that his
- 28:07timing recollection could be off like he's just like the waren commission
- 28:11report makes the most sense like like it might not be 100% correct but like that
- 28:16doesn't mean this outlandish stuff is like beli so if you want to if you want
- 28:20to actually get a very good detailed investigation Matt I've I've chucked you
- 28:26the resters history they've done a six part investigation into it these are
- 28:31historians um they basically said if you learn everything there is to know about
- 28:36Kennedy and everything there is to know about Oswald then it's not a mystery
- 28:41anymore right like Kennedy was everything oswal hated and he was a
- 28:47opportunistic killer that saw the opportunity to bring down you know the
- 28:53person who represented everything that he hated about the United States even
- 28:58when you hear so last week I said the only thing I don't understand is why
- 29:01Jack Ruby um shot him the next day and you know the reason he gave was that he
- 29:06wanted to spare Jackie the he was spent all night crying about how he felt
- 29:10horrible for yeah what but apparently people have come forward and going mate
- 29:14the whole next day he was calling people going what about Jackie and we're like
- 29:17mate why do you care but he apparently he did and apparently he was just some
- 29:21num skull that just got it into his head that he was supposed to be the Crusader
- 29:26for Jackie but people want to be involved people want to insert
- 29:29themselves into history and maybe that's it yeah and he loved Kennedy right
- 29:35that's that's no surprise like he did that everyone said that so the funny is
- 29:41when you hear HS it's more likely a horse than a zebra yes I like that
- 29:46that's a great one wait yeah where have I heard that recently
- 29:51was that on this show or was it somewhere else luk probably no not on
- 29:54this show I've never heard that before but I'm going to I'm going to steal it
- 29:56and use it okay funny yeah just stay on it don't even
- 30:01just just I think someone at work might have said that to me this week and
- 30:04that's very strange going on and on about
- 30:09JFK like an insufferable [ __ ] with I was
- 30:12because if if he was a CIA operative and he was part of the conspiracy to kill
- 30:18Kennedy why did he shoot that other try to shoot that other guy two weeks
- 30:20earlier and when when he failed yeah exactly and then they were like oh let's
- 30:25have him try again to shoot the president seems like a good candidate
- 30:30now ridiculous he fired one shot through a window at a dude on the other side of
- 30:35that window and missed and ran away instead of just firing a second shot is
- 30:41that's a guy we should use top covert operative I do have to ask so they have
- 30:44said they are going to say who did it after this now do we think they're
- 30:48actually going to say a name of person or they're going to say C or something
- 30:54ridiculous there I mean that what they've been saying makes it seem like
- 30:58they're going to say CIA yeah but they're not going to say like it's
- 31:04[ __ ] you know Jeff McGee from the fourth floor of
- 31:08CIA contact him at this address like so basically there we're going to name who
- 31:14did it is basically say it's a conspiracy and a whole lot of people
- 31:17were involved cuz they spent the first episode and it which was very
- 31:20interesting um because it's not always covered in the in the in the
- 31:24assassination stuff it was the the leading up to all of that was Kennedy
- 31:30versus the CIA in a way um Kennedy trying to bre a yeah because he wanted
- 31:35peace with with um the Soviets and and this kind of stuff and um and his
- 31:40relationship with with all the you know overseas leaders and stuff like it very
- 31:45interesting and stuff I didn't know and it's like okay sure they didn't like him
- 31:49that doesn't mean they [ __ ] hide this idiot to shoot him yeah so actually they
- 31:54go through that and he's been training since o does that in the book too right
- 31:59goes through all the reasons why you would think the CIA or the government I
- 32:05don't think he went to it in that much depth so because and I because I quite
- 32:08appreciated that but he does touch on it for sure yeah like yeah but I mean
- 32:14there's been worse opposition to the CIA
- 32:17I.E Donald Trump [ __ ] hates the
- 32:21CIA they didn't kill Trump did they but
- 32:25like why why why in that way if they wanted to take him out why in that way
- 32:32like it actually doesn't make much sense when you think there's easier ways to do
- 32:35it exactly they said oh it's it's it's um LBJ he's the one who benefited the
- 32:41most because he became president it's like sorry LBJ from Texas lives in
- 32:46Washington next to the president Waits until he gets him back to his home state
- 32:52where it would be more obvious that it was him before he decides to do it
- 32:56rather than say poisoning his suit soup one night yeah yeah just seems like a
- 33:02very goes deep and they're like was so [ __ ] stupid that no one would believe
- 33:08it and then like there was no guarantee Oswald was even going to be working at
- 33:11The Book Depository cuz when he got hired they were like either going to put
- 33:14him there or in some [ __ ] Warehouse outside town he was given that job he
- 33:18was told about that job by the woman who housed his wife when they split up she
- 33:24went and lived with this Quaker C right and and and and she was like my husband
- 33:28doesn't even have a job and she was like I'll see if I'll ask around my friends
- 33:31and see if someone knows about an opening yeah it was like a charity
- 33:34basically offer like a Pity job yeah yeah I don't know man all right I'm
- 33:41going to call we're not going to discuss this more until they announce who did it
- 33:44okay okay fine sorry listeners one more one more thing that
- 33:48big boo did say was that um he said if he added up all of the different um
- 33:55people that had been accused of you know that how many shooters every and he's
- 34:00you know he calculated that if they all if everyone's right there was something
- 34:04like 136 Shooters on that day it's a miracle that there was
- 34:09anything left of Kennedy to to even autopsy at that point I don't know why
- 34:13we still discuss it because I saw a documentary and I know who shot him
- 34:18JFK oh Red Dwarf yes yeah yeah or um it
- 34:24took the president back in time to shoot himself cuz or the dad from um what's
- 34:28that show the um the show by the guy from my chemical rats um Umbrella
- 34:35Academy yes that's that's by the guy from My Chemical Romance yeah I thought
- 34:41meant until you said that I didn't know that there you go
- 34:45yeah all
- 34:48right um so you guys were mentioning how
- 34:53expensive cigarettes are in Australia the other week I was actually talking to
- 34:56people at work about this other day and I I'm prepared to say I classif myself
- 35:00still as a smoker I just can't afford to buy them well and uh and if you were in New
- 35:07Zealand you almost wouldn't have been able to but then they backed out of it
- 35:12actually Luke still could have because he was a smoker at an age before the ban was put
- 35:19in place is that how it works yeah is say that there can be no new
- 35:24smokers yeah and it wasn't like they saying yeah but they're going to say from like
- 35:30a certain year like if you were born I forget what year but so if you're 16 now
- 35:35you could still I think start smoking but I think if you were 10 now you
- 35:39wouldn't never be able to legally smoke okay and they've completely out of it
- 35:45yeah because they're like if you if you know the people that are already
- 35:47addicted no hope they're going to keep smoking but maybe if we can just make it
- 35:52so that the Next Generation never gets into it I mean they don't as much these
- 35:56days do they or am I naive about I mean how does a 16-year-old
- 36:00afford a $65 pack of 20 cigarettes well it's not like that here I suppose but
- 36:05then they're not going to ban it here I actually thought this was a good way
- 36:08going B New Zealand either they're backed out you know why because they
- 36:12worked out how much tax they would lose in a year yeah I'm surprised well here's
- 36:17the thing though like cuz I thought they doing it a smart way because it wasn't
- 36:21going to stop selling cigarettes ever it's just you're never going to get new
- 36:26people and so you income would gradually die off from it yeah
- 36:31mhm so actually it's it's a shame yeah
- 36:36so it was to stop so the legislation was to stop people born after two January
- 36:432009 from ever being able to legally buy smokes
- 36:482009 so people that are 14 now could still which is which is sort of a good
- 36:54way to do it because there are people I guarant there people who were 133 14
- 36:59that are still sort of starting to buy that cigarettes at that age starting to
- 37:03smoke at that age so they're not doing a I started you guys weren't that young
- 37:07were you I was 15 think I didn't start until I was maybe
- 37:1214 I don't remember would have been I didn't smoke in high school I but I
- 37:18started straight after I started smoking at a canteen Camp probably for teenagers
- 37:24with Cancers could be 16 probably I don't recall exactly yeah actually no
- 37:28that makes sense yeah I I'm I'm thinking
- 37:3215 I don't maybe 14 but I think more
- 37:3615 well it's I thought this was a good way to do it
- 37:40like so did they do we know why they've backed out is it just the money it's
- 37:45just the money it's just the money that
- 37:50sucks that's a shame no apparently there's been other
- 37:55tax cuts and they're like mate we are we need that sweet tobacco money back I
- 38:01mean it is a lot of money like inflation doesn't explain
- 38:07that increase in price well it's not well in a straight it's not inflation
- 38:12you're not paying no I know not tax you're playing in
- 38:15exce I don't know what that is exis I think we don't want you to have it so
- 38:21we're going to make it prohibitively expensive still available if you're
- 38:25willing to if you've got $65 it worked on
- 38:30me cuz I mentioned how much you said they were and Jenna was like oh yeah but
- 38:34how long would one how long would a pack like that last year and I was like half
- 38:38a day yeah yeah yeah I used to smoke two packets a day yeah people smoke a lot
- 38:44maybe more than you realize I did smoke a lot I would try to make a pack last two
- 38:51days so I would try to smoke 10 cigarettes a day the annoying thing about
- 38:56smome down I'd have to try now [ __ ] the last time I had one I was like this is
- 39:01disgusting Mak [ __ ] I still walk past I still go outside we'll smoke it so I
- 39:06can sort of second hand smoke or when they'll be rolling a cigarette I'll
- 39:09smell the tobacco still love I'm done like I'm like I I guess I was never as
- 39:14hardcore as you Luke but just like noed to smoke the strongest cigarettes there were which
- 39:20sucked if you ran out of cigarettes and you had to get smokes off someone else
- 39:24because was it was good if someone wanted to bum one off you and they're
- 39:26like I'm not taking a 16 yeah Special filter but no they'd still take it and
- 39:32they go yuck this is horrible what when I get this I go I can't taste
- 39:38anything it's probably healthier for me to smoke them than when I was smoking
- 39:43someone did tell me once that if you smoke ones you're breathing in cleaner
- 39:47air than if you just breathe in in Sydney but I don't know if that's the
- 39:50truth I guarantee you that is not true no told to me as a fact though and as a
- 39:55journalist once told me as a fact to too good to
- 40:00check very good oh I um I watched a movie this
- 40:06week I see that you've watched a movie and I'm Keen to hear what your thought
- 40:11well I technically I watched three movies oh wow you you watched the other
- 40:15two Jenna hadn't seen the other two so we watched murder on the Orient Express
- 40:20uh which I'm I loved again in fact I quite liked it more this time it's yeah
- 40:25I watch it again no you know why you liked it more is because when it was out
- 40:28the first time you were iffy on Johnny Depp now he's a hero again so that's
- 40:33probably what it was uh and then uh
- 40:36death on the Nile I I like more I think and I think I said that last time um but
- 40:42I maintained that that's the case I believe I felt the same too yeah good
- 40:47I've only seen them each once though A Haunting in Venice was very
- 40:52disappointing no was it it look so good
- 40:57it's okay for the for for the first third of it I was like oh it's
- 41:03beautiful like it's shot like it's this yeah this sets beautiful set in Venice
- 41:09like uh it's got like this it switches to these really wide lenses when
- 41:13something weird is going on it's like it's just yeah I was like oh this is
- 41:17cool and then it's just not as like
- 41:21murder mystery as the others it's right
- 41:25like is it because it's not so contained I mean that's Orient Express no one can
- 41:30leave train death on the they're on a boat they're stuck in a building
- 41:35not chis so yeah that has that it's just it's
- 41:41like I feel like the ghosty stuff overshadowed right the murder mystery
- 41:47you know but also the stakes are being trapped in a building is a little bit
- 41:52different being trapped on a train or a boat oh mean with a murderer Luke well
- 41:56it's not way that they're trapped like some of them are just we're at a country
- 41:59house for the summer someone's dead it has to be one of us cuz no one else was
- 42:04here like that's the agath Christie formula yeah just
- 42:08leave remember when she disappear I mean not remember we weren't there but you
- 42:12know she like disappeared for years and then just resurfaced and said she was in a Fugue
- 42:17State I didn't know that no yeah she missing for years and then was like I've
- 42:21got no memory of that time don't know what happened to
- 42:24me that's scary H yeah so it's either true and it's scary or or she just
- 42:31wanted a holiday yeah she was like [ __ ] you guys it wasn't in the' 40s was it it
- 42:36was in the 40s yeah it was it oh
- 42:40boy sorry what are you implying she was she in Germany is what I'm implying I
- 42:46don't think so but the [ __ ] knows she won't admit to it no I think it was
- 42:51actually in the 20s or 30s okay but I mean that's that's when that [ __ ] got
- 42:55started you know yeah
- 42:58are you implying a popular author from
- 43:03England went to Germany said said off Hitler here like a
- 43:07chat I'm not implying that Matthew ham LLC is implying
- 43:12that come at me lawyers yeah come at me Hitler's
- 43:17lawyers Christi's lawyers
- 43:23yeah this week and it's because you mentioned it last week Matt because we
- 43:26were talking about the Killer by David Fincher yes and you said that you
- 43:30remember a Girl with the Dragon Tattoo being a top tier Fincher movie and I was
- 43:34like I remember it being that too I want to see if it holds up it does [ __ ]
- 43:39excellent movie so good I read the book
- 43:44of girls with dragon tattoo and thought it was pretty good didn't think it was
- 43:47great but thought it was pretty good Ste lasson theth posthumously published as well I
- 43:54know before the success of it yeah all of them no success during his life um
- 43:59that's so sad I also had seen so I thought it was just fine fine little
- 44:03mystery book not little [ __ ] thick as [ __ ] then I also saw the Swedish TV
- 44:09movie adaptation and thought it was just fine as well so even with having seen
- 44:13another movie version and read the book David Finch's version of it is still
- 44:18[ __ ] excellent yes so maybe I shouldn't bother with the others I know
- 44:20I've got um I got access to this streaming service that is called I
- 44:24forget it's called but it's all um International TV shows and stuff and
- 44:29it's got tons of like you know Nordic Nordic Noir Noir and stuff yeah on there
- 44:35what that is I want to see if we can get that yeah that sounds great I'll yeah
- 44:39I'll figure it out after I w't well you know what Talk Amongst yourselves
- 44:42speaking speaking of overseas TV and I I need something from you Luke um you know
- 44:48we talked last I need something from you after this so you go first okay yeah um
- 44:53well yeah okay that's fair uh I you said last week that Australia gets both
- 44:58American and British comedy right um and
- 45:03I think I'm just I'm so often disappointed by American Comedy I just I
- 45:08just don't think it's for me I just don't think their sense of
- 45:11humor is what tickles me yeah right I just lean much more to the British but
- 45:17I'm so out of the loop now with that I don't know what to watch so Luke I know
- 45:22that you are the offici of British comedy what should I watch I want it
- 45:27scripted I don't want you to say out of 10 cats I I need scripted comedy from
- 45:32the UK should I be watching plebs plebs all
- 45:38right I just found it it's five seasons I just watched it I I quite I enjoyed it
- 45:43it's silly okay Silly's fine I can do
- 45:46silly plebs done okay do that or if you haven't seen it before um Friday night
- 45:53dinner no never heard this say that Friday
- 45:57night dinner the um the service I've got is
- 46:03it's called topic you like topic Tom Rose and Thal
- 46:08because he's in both of those yes I do topic and I'm looking at it it's got such shows as
- 46:15spiral uh Agatha Christie
- 46:19hon uh the killing the uh the original I have seen the original it's very good
- 46:25the bridge which I know you said was good and I don't think I've watched that
- 46:30yet oh the bridge is excellent and it's been remade several times so watch the
- 46:34the original Nordic one Speaking of the killing so did you
- 46:39know that Joel kinman yes is in girl with a dragon tattoo as just like a
- 46:44background guy with only one line and it must have been made before he was famous
- 46:48wow okay you know that he he works in an office in Stockholm and but he's been
- 46:54fired or he's kind of quit right there's just one day where he's in the office
- 46:59towards the start of the movie and his office mates are there one of them yeah
- 47:03there you go I have to watch that I have to watch it anyway
- 47:08but we can get topic here so I might look into take a peak Luke have you seen
- 47:14sta lets Flats no that one's been recommended to me too is that like
- 47:21foot yeah I think in the unstable world of London's property Market sta tries to
- 47:26prove himself as a perfect heir to his father's flat leing business despite his
- 47:30undesirable personality and incompetence yeah all right okay I might
- 47:36give that a try now what I need from you oh what are you doing on the 20th or
- 47:4321st of December yeah okay all right
- 47:47just going with you if that's what this is I'm not listeners too oh
- 47:53tism no it is not tism no I may need to you to bust me at a
- 48:00hospital oh sure yeah I'm always down for a heist yeah yep cuz yeah I because
- 48:06I go in the hospital in a couple of weeks I come out on either the 20th or
- 48:0921st oh and you want to do the show yes no no no no I'll do the show in hospital
- 48:14that's I'll just do from hospital but no I get Hannah's going to drive up on the
- 48:1821st to catch a plane to go home right
- 48:22to Brisbane and so hopefully the Tims work out and I get checked out on 21st
- 48:27and she can collect me but she may not I may get out a day early out y I need
- 48:33something to collect me and then I need to stay with you I'll put it in the
- 48:36diary okay well that's I mean I wouldn't say that's a a fair swap for telling me
- 48:40about plebs but sure thank you I will need to sleep in your bed yes don't ask
- 48:46I monit I've got to no it's got to be your bed I've been monit 24 hours yeah
- 48:52you have to sleep next to him yeah well I hope you like little dogs sleeping up
- 48:57real close CU that's what happens in my bed as well yeah Dan like said do this and
- 49:02like lick you it'll be I'll be happy with that because it's going to be a
- 49:07week without me sleeping with one of my cats it just one of them but you got to
- 49:12take the other cats no no only one of them sleep with us oh okay
- 49:16yeah the others don't know where they go don't know where they go yeah yeah
- 49:22only Atlas sleeps with us and when I say with us I mean literally just on top of Jenna
- 49:27right yeah yeah which I mean in all fairness it's supposed to be your
- 49:33spot as the husband that's where you should be so yeah so what the plan is
- 49:38next week I'll be recording normal oh that's true next week I record some the next
- 49:45week after that I might be here or I might be recording I might be I might
- 49:49not be on or I'll be recording from a hospital bit right but you will be in a
- 49:53hospital either way you just may or may not be conscious enough to record yes
- 49:57okay if you can just like if you want to just pop on for a bit and then if you
- 50:00have to leave it's fine I think whatever yep I'll see what I can do or if you're
- 50:05not up for it that's fine obviously but no no no I know listeners want to say
- 50:10druged up Luke we we can we can pressure him off air yeah
- 50:16okay did you guys watch the uh furiosa
- 50:18trailer yeah I did no I it looks good to me but it
- 50:25looks more
- 50:28CGI than I want I thought that too and then I had to remind myself that usually
- 50:35by the time trailers come out the CGI isn't finished yeah and I know there was
- 50:41there was there was a lot of CGI in Fury Road fake skies and stuff yeah this but
- 50:47but it was also a lot of practical effects which you can there's [ __ ]
- 50:50amazing YouTube video of just them of super cut basically they shot it all for
- 50:55real but then they just added some CGI in ex green screens behind them yeah
- 51:01exactly so I don't know what now yeah cuz this is the spin-off to Mad Max
- 51:07isn't it cuz this isn't a Mad Max movie as suche it's a prequel to Fury
- 51:13Road specifically I mean it looks good don't get me wrong it's just I it looks
- 51:18it looks like it's more of the same which I'm happy with you know another
- 51:21car chased through the Aussie outpack it's just that the yeah Fury Road had just this like
- 51:27I mean because they literally just blew the [ __ ] cars up and smashed them
- 51:30into each other and filmed it like it just had this they bought heat of 5DS
- 51:34and put them in cars and crushed those cars and then fished out the memory
- 51:39sticks from the from the rck wreckage and I don't know I I mean maybe some
- 51:44people can't tell but I could when you watch that versus
- 51:49CGI it just does something like my brain my brain is just like [ __ ] yeah like
- 51:54adrenaline like I just watch the scene where she's like on the back of like a
- 51:58semi-trailer shooting back and it just that's not cars crashing into stuff not
- 52:04I mean Fury Road had that a bit so I'm just hoping there's not too much of it in this Fury
- 52:09Road surprised me and I was always a Mad Max fan but I'd go as far as saying this
- 52:15is the best one like I thought Fury Road was hands down the best [ __ ] amazing
- 52:20and I went could believe it when I saw it okay well I've liked the other three
- 52:24I'll probably like this a bit too and I came out going that was [ __ ] amazing
- 52:29yeah yeah and this is George Miller again yep he only makes these I think and he's
- 52:35not going to let someone else make one they Happy Feet sequels
- 52:39yeah and and yeah no more babes though oh no he did the um the one about the
- 52:45genie with Idris Elbert and um and the Tilda key oh I didn't see that no I
- 52:52didn't neither did I it didn't look great like something I wanted to see no
- 52:58no I know about because a friend of ours who worked on furiosa also worked on
- 53:02that that's how I that's why I remember that I watched something else this week
- 53:06and I just want to mention it because it links back to this um just unnecessary
- 53:12use of CGI so I watched Shutter Island which is a very good movie it's very
- 53:18good and if you know the twist I won't spoil it but if you know the twist watch
- 53:23it from the start again they tell you from the start of that movie I think
- 53:28I've only seen it once I should do that it's really interesting because you
- 53:31realize that things can have two meanings because they spell it out for
- 53:36you but you don't you don't know it you don't pick it like I did not pick this
- 53:39until the reveal but when you watch it again everyone's essentially telling
- 53:45him how things really are he just doesn't hear it right yeah right and
- 53:49neither do you because you don't know to listen for it yet and it's shot on this
- 53:53beautiful island with this creepy old building on it which I assume is a real
- 53:57Island you know they walking around it I guess so yeah but a lot of the movie is
- 54:02just two people talking like on the edge of a cliff or on the front of a boat or
- 54:06on the roof of a building or on a lighthouse and they seem to have just
- 54:10done that all in studio with a green screen background and I I guess it's to
- 54:14get good audio and to have you know not have the wind and stuff but it just
- 54:18takes you right out of it because you'll see two people walking along what's
- 54:21clearly a real Road and then they'll stop and it'll cut to close-ups that are
- 54:25just clearly green screen it's you don't have to do that cuz it's bad era green
- 54:32screen yeah I mean it's it shouldn't be it should be better by what is this a
- 54:362008 or something movie like or 2006 it should be it's scy too right yeah yeah
- 54:42yeah you know I mean he doesn't do a lot of CGI so maybe he doesn't well and when
- 54:46he does I was just going to say when he does like in the the Irishman where
- 54:49everyone was like calling that out too maybe maybe he should shouldn't do that
- 54:54that was just okay that one that was hours of just
- 54:58okay so I think there's times to use sui and there's times not to and it's I
- 55:03think that's why did you see that interview with um Ridley Scott recently
- 55:09where he said um sces was he he said I've I've made five films in the time
- 55:16that scori made his last one and his most recent one it's like that's not a
- 55:20brag dude yeah it's it's got a [ __ ] race mate yeah also look at the reviews
- 55:24of Napoleon like that's not maybe you should have slowed down a bit I I'm ke
- 55:28to see Napoleon because everyone's like like most yeah most people are kind of
- 55:34criticizing it because it's just this like you know insufferable [ __ ]
- 55:38withit slouching around Fridley
- 55:41Scott W Phoenix man um but I mean as far as I can tell that's what Napoleon was
- 55:48like like that's the kind of the interesting thing about Napoleon was
- 55:52that this wasn't some kind of nationalist movement this was one dude
- 55:55who rallied a whole country out of you know this strange like yeah and didn't
- 56:00post-revolution poverty and just put them all in the Army yeah he was the
- 56:05first person to say no no all of the citizen you're all in the Army now and
- 56:09all the other countries like who we can do that yeah they're like if if you're a
- 56:13seamstress you're a seamstress for the Army yeah if you're a baker you're a
- 56:17baker for the Army we an army yeah so yeah I'm interested to see it you see
- 56:23what Francis Copler Francis Ford cop director of such Classics as uh Dracula
- 56:30Dracula and um The Black Stallion I'm being factious he also made like The
- 56:35Godfather and apocalypse now but he's he's basically say he he loved uh
- 56:40Napoleon oh okay he was like he was like they should give Ridley a Knighthood and
- 56:44somebody was like gave him a Knighthood and so he was like IED him then
- 56:48whatever's next after that yeah promote him in some way
- 56:54yeah yeah know I like to watch it uh I I watched there read sorry a really good
- 57:01thread on Twitter with some historian who was like he said he really liked it
- 57:05but he obviously there were bits where he was like annoyed him he was like
- 57:09these are the spots where it plays pretty loose with the but you need to
- 57:13with a movie cuz real life is boring it's not a documentary yeah yeah yeah no
- 57:19I agree even the life of Napoleon probably had some boring bits but he had
- 57:22some interesting insights that I would never have noticed because he said even
- 57:26there were things like there were sections later in the film where you'd
- 57:30see Napoleon just riding on a horse and he would go well that that's the
- 57:35clothing from you know 20 years ago that that's obviously a scene that they shot
- 57:39in this other battle and he's just moved here he's thinking no one's going to
- 57:42notic but I [ __ ] noticed yeah right yeah yeah I'd be like if we saw someone
- 57:46dressed from the 80s we'd know it but somebody from the year you know dud in
- 57:50Napoleon had doesn't look any different to us but this guy's like well those
- 57:53aren't the right medals or whatever yeah you got to let some it's a movie yeah
- 57:58yeah no I this guy said he liked it but also I think there's something to be
- 58:01said like we take for granted that things are totally different now than
- 58:06they were 10 years ago whereas through most of human history your entire life
- 58:10was pretty much the same as your parents entire life sure and probably your
- 58:14grandparents entire life clothes weren't changing that much not that quickly
- 58:18technology certainly wasn't changing that quickly unless you were in like two
- 58:21or three really key periods in history mechanical Revolution or what what was
- 58:26it there was like industrial Industrial Revolution that's the one where we
- 58:29basically went from really slow to where we are today like very quickly well even
- 58:34the computers right [ __ ] man like they've literally changed the world
- 58:39computers are not even a 100 years old I know it's crazy yeah yeah and certainly
- 58:45not home computers not personal computers if you had told the three of
- 58:48us when we were in high school that we would be doing this on our computers we'
- 58:52have been like how like what do you mean yeah we just
- 58:58be think it be some kind of Blocky like
- 59:02of us you yeah exactly yeah but even like we've been doing this for what over
- 59:0710 years now but even like what we're using a lot better like when we first
- 59:12started trying to use video we'd have dropouts we'd have
- 59:16stuff epis are inaudible I've got a photo of the setup from the first
- 59:20episode which actually I'll post up this if you want to see it please do photo or
- 59:25is it just the no it's a photo of the desk in the in the Nexus which is a
- 59:29spare room we had at the apartment down I lived in with with the table with the
- 59:33four microphones on it and I went to um what was that [ __ ] music store in in
- 59:39um Billy hide no not Billy hide smithies in um camp and I bought a
- 59:46preamp cuz I was like cuz we were just like how the [ __ ] do you record people
- 59:52at yeah four computers yeah yeah so and where Dan
- 59:58used to drum on the table not no Dave used to drum on the table yes and we'd
- 1:00:04all just like start talking amongst ourselves right yeah and so the podcast
- 1:00:09just sound it just [ __ ] incomprehensible yeah and I had to drive
- 1:00:12up once a month we record four episodes in one go yeah that's right and we've
- 1:00:18saved you from listening to those listeners if you want to go back you can
