- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey everyone, welcome to the Almost Simis podcast. It is
- 0:08Speaker 2: just me today. I mean Ben's on here, but it's
- 0:11Speaker 2: not just me. We have our quote Grandma of the Week, Marcy.
- 0:17Speaker 2: She's joining me for the entire recap today. Marcy is
- 0:21Speaker 2: part of the iHeart family and I hear that. So
- 0:26Speaker 2: you are a grandma?
- 0:27Speaker 3: Right?
- 0:29Speaker 2: Yes? Okay? Why why hesitation?
- 0:32Speaker 3: Well because my stepsons have a child. Okay, all right,
- 0:36Speaker 3: my daughter she's thirty three, but she's still.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Waiting, gotcha. It's okay. I was thirty three when I
- 0:43Speaker 2: have my kid, and you know you're ready. When you're
- 0:46Speaker 2: ready changes your life, sure freaking does. So we are
- 0:51Speaker 2: recapping episode three together, and let's just start from the well,
- 0:57Speaker 2: let's start with just like your thoughts overall on this
- 0:59Speaker 2: season of are.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I am enjoying it much more than I enjoyed the
- 1:06Speaker 3: previous episodes of just the Regular Bachelor because the girls
- 1:10Speaker 3: are much more mature, so you don't get the whining
- 1:14Speaker 3: and crying like you do in the other Bachelor episodes.
- 1:19Speaker 3: And what I really love it about it is that
- 1:22Speaker 3: the girls are very supportive of one another which you
- 1:26Speaker 3: don't see that often. That may change as feelings get
- 1:31Speaker 3: hurt and progressed down the line, but it's very nice
- 1:34Speaker 3: to see. In the first three episodes of Everybody was
- 1:36Speaker 3: pretty much supportive.
- 1:39Speaker 2: You're sixty five, but yeah, so how do you relate
- 1:43Speaker 2: to this group of women?
- 1:45Speaker 3: I relate because I almost signed up for the show.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I almost did. I filled out all application and then
- 1:53Speaker 3: I it was so soon and I wasn't going to
- 1:56Speaker 3: be able to get away. But maybe next time. But
- 2:00Speaker 3: I'm single, I'm a widow. I'm sixty five, so I'm
- 2:03Speaker 3: in dating age range of all these same women, and
- 2:08Speaker 3: I'm finding it fascinating to see how others handle dating.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I know how I handle it, but I'm never on
- 2:15Speaker 3: a date with somebody else. So this gives me the
- 2:17Speaker 3: opportunity to watch.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Do you feel it all jealous? Watching these women with Gary,
- 2:23Speaker 2: who's just a wonderful man?
- 2:26Speaker 3: I am. I was thinking last night, where did they
- 2:30Speaker 3: find him?
- 2:31Speaker 2: Where? Every week I am more and more mind boggled
- 2:34Speaker 2: how they found the perfect man for this job.
- 2:38Speaker 3: He is so sensitive and intuitive and caring, and he
- 2:42Speaker 3: makes a connection with each person, and I'm wondering, is
- 2:46Speaker 3: this real? He's like the epitome.
- 2:51Speaker 2: I know he is like, Oh, he is not afraid
- 2:55Speaker 2: to cry either, and it's in an adorable way. It's
- 2:58Speaker 2: not in a like you know, you know tears with men.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Women interterpret it in a complicated way. Sometimes we love it,
- 3:06Speaker 2: sometimes we don't want it. But you were saying that
- 3:11Speaker 2: you are refreshed by the fact that the ladies aren't
- 3:15Speaker 2: so much crying. You don't like the drama and the
- 3:19Speaker 2: normal show, and you like the way this has been
- 3:21Speaker 2: more romance focused.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yes, exactly, because when you get older, you don't want
- 3:27Speaker 3: the drama in your life. You don't have the patience
- 3:30Speaker 3: for it. And you know, when you're watching these twenty
- 3:34Speaker 3: year olds going oh, I love him after they've dated
- 3:38Speaker 3: him one time, it's a little silly.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but don't you think that these women are sort
- 3:43Speaker 2: of doing the same.
- 3:44Speaker 3: I know, I was, I know I noticed that last
- 3:49Speaker 3: night's episode. Yeah, because he's facilitating a connection with each
- 3:55Speaker 3: person individually. He's making it sound like there's something each
- 4:00Speaker 3: and every one of them which gives the hope.
- 4:04Speaker 2: But you don't you don't feel that that's what happens
- 4:05Speaker 2: with the regular show.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Yes, it does. Yes, of course there's similarities.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Yeah, so okay, let's talk about the one aspect of
- 4:18Speaker 2: drama that there was this episode, and it was the
- 4:21Speaker 2: first conflict we had we had amongst women. So first,
- 4:26Speaker 2: Kathy the beginning of the episode forms a group. She
- 4:30Speaker 2: calls it Asking. It's April, Susan, Kathy, and Nancy, and
- 4:34Speaker 2: the motto of their group is you're asking, We're telling.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And Kathy is just there. The memes are out there,
- 4:44Speaker 2: so I could say on the podcast she looks so
- 4:47Speaker 2: much like Caitlyn Jenner. I cannot think it's not you know,
- 4:52Speaker 2: I just feel like I've watched Kitlyn Jenner create an
- 4:55Speaker 2: asking group.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Oh is that funny? But it didn't really go to
- 5:00Speaker 3: I was actually like expecting a lot more of that
- 5:03Speaker 3: facility loockiness. Yeah.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't really see them form as a click,
- 5:07Speaker 2: which I'm really happy because I was a little concerned
- 5:11Speaker 2: that they were going to seclude themselves. But I guess
- 5:14Speaker 2: basically they're like a little circle of friends. And I
- 5:16Speaker 2: do like all those women, Okay, but basically Gary, it's
- 5:21Speaker 2: very cute, very cute. But Kathy's definitely are a dramatic
- 5:25Speaker 2: one of the group, and she gets into some conflict
- 5:30Speaker 2: with Teresa in this episode, because Teresa the day of
- 5:33Speaker 2: the Rose ceremony, where like you kind of just hang
- 5:37Speaker 2: around the house. They're like making lunch or something, and
- 5:41Speaker 2: Teresa starts just opening up to her about the connection
- 5:44Speaker 2: that she has with Gary and how great he is
- 5:47Speaker 2: to her and how romantic their date was. Last week
- 5:52Speaker 2: when you were watching this unfold, what was your takeaway?
- 5:59Speaker 3: I could see both sides of me too. Why there's
- 6:04Speaker 3: kind of I know Teresa is thinking that this is
- 6:07Speaker 3: a person she made a connection with and as a girlfriend,
- 6:10Speaker 3: she's talking about her experiences.
- 6:13Speaker 2: But she forgot I think there's two.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Times you're dating the same guy. She's frigiding death fading
- 6:23Speaker 3: jealousy there and she doesn't realize it.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yeah, she's like, oh my gosh, this is the first
- 6:28Speaker 2: time that you know, I'm dating the same guy. I
- 6:31Speaker 2: do have to I will have to wonder whether she
- 6:33Speaker 2: would open up like that in a way to certain
- 6:37Speaker 2: other girls in the house that maybe she would find
- 6:40Speaker 2: more threatening, maybe like say Faith, is she going to
- 6:42Speaker 2: say that to Faith who got the first impression Rose?
- 6:45Speaker 3: I don't believe so. I think she only opened up
- 6:47Speaker 3: to her because they established a friendship.
- 6:50Speaker 2: You think so yeah, and I don't.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Think she really realized what she was doing. I don't
- 6:56Speaker 3: think she was being malicious about it. Yeah, but it
- 7:00Speaker 3: was very wrong.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not down with that. Yeah I wasn't. I
- 7:06Speaker 2: wasn't down with the decision to do that, but I
- 7:09Speaker 2: understood that, like sometimes, like that weird blurred line happens
- 7:13Speaker 2: in the Bachelor House. Now what boggled my mind was
- 7:17Speaker 2: after the rose ceremony, both ladies get roses, and then
- 7:21Speaker 2: Teresa turns to Kathy again and starts talking about the
- 7:25Speaker 2: fact that he pulled her into a bedroom and they
- 7:28Speaker 2: had an intimate conversation and I was like, wait, woman,
- 7:31Speaker 2: And again I actually don't think she had. And this
- 7:34Speaker 2: is after the whole thing exploded, you know, quote exploded.
- 7:39Speaker 2: It wasn't that dramatic, but that's when the issue had
- 7:42Speaker 2: been raised with Gary and the other women. And she
- 7:45Speaker 2: turns to her and does the exact same thing again,
- 7:48Speaker 2: and I don't think they could possibly be with intent.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I think the woman is spacey.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I think so. I think so That's why I said
- 7:59Speaker 3: I don't think she's doing let's just say she just
- 8:01Speaker 3: has no clue. Somebody has to Maybe the producers should
- 8:05Speaker 3: tell her, but then again they.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Like, no, no, the producers want her to continue doing
- 8:09Speaker 2: what she's doing.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Its personalities, What can you say? You know, you can't
- 8:15Speaker 3: control your friends and what they say and what they do.
- 8:18Speaker 3: I know.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I think she's just the kind of person that probably
- 8:21Speaker 2: just kind of shares everything about her life with whoever
- 8:24Speaker 2: is next to her.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Yeah, but too much, too much information is never a
- 8:29Speaker 3: good thing, especially if you're dating the same man. I know.
- 8:44Speaker 2: These dates have gone too fast. That's why I've forgotten them,
- 8:48Speaker 2: because the show really showed in this episode to me
- 8:51Speaker 2: that it needs to be longer. It felt way too
- 8:55Speaker 2: crunched into forty minutes because the one on ones were
- 9:00Speaker 2: they were so small. We didn't get any We got
- 9:03Speaker 2: barely any conversation, to the point of which with Jones
- 9:07Speaker 2: I had to like rewind and be like, wait a second,
- 9:09Speaker 2: did I miss something because they didn't share much at all,
- 9:13Speaker 2: and before you know it, he's handing her the rose.
- 9:15Speaker 2: But let's go in consequential order now. It starts with
- 9:17Speaker 2: a group date rows and when I found out that
- 9:20Speaker 2: like all the ladies were going to go on this date,
- 9:23Speaker 2: I was immediately assuming that it would turn into one
- 9:25Speaker 2: of those dates where the winner of the activity would
- 9:28Speaker 2: go on the one on one and that's what happens.
- 9:30Speaker 2: They're gonna whoever wins the Talent Show goes to have
- 9:34Speaker 2: a dinner date with him later in the day.
- 9:36Speaker 3: They're almost like monkey performers, you know, for you know,
- 9:39Speaker 3: performing for the prize.
- 9:41Speaker 2: I know, well, the ladies really showed up. They did
- 9:44Speaker 2: a great job.
- 9:46Speaker 3: I know, at last minute they were able to pull
- 9:49Speaker 3: stuff together and it was it was actually amazing.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:54Speaker 3: See, I really am just like thinking, what the hell
- 9:56Speaker 3: would I be doing?
- 9:58Speaker 2: Meet me too. Every time they do a talent I'm like,
- 10:00Speaker 2: I have nothing. Do you want me to write to
- 10:03Speaker 2: an essay? It's probably what I can do best? That
- 10:06Speaker 2: makes it like, literally that sounds so dumb. I'm like
- 10:08Speaker 2: thinking about my like my talents anyway. Okay, so the
- 10:14Speaker 2: Talent Show would we would have seen more of this
- 10:18Speaker 2: if it were a long two hour episode like we
- 10:21Speaker 2: get with The Bachelor, we would have seen them coming
- 10:24Speaker 2: up with their ideas and rehearsing. But in the version
- 10:28Speaker 2: that we see, it's just all the ladies are there.
- 10:30Speaker 2: They arrived to the theater and they are ready to go.
- 10:33Speaker 2: That I'll tell you, guys, there was definitely some rehearsal
- 10:35Speaker 2: that went on. So Sandra gets up first. She's telling jokes.
- 10:39Speaker 2: She's playing comedian Ellen Adorable. She teaches sex ed to
- 10:44Speaker 2: middle school students that that is a serious talent. Faith sings,
- 10:51Speaker 2: April also sings, Kathy does push ups, Nancy does a
- 10:58Speaker 2: whip cream hatch, whipped cream catch. I don't remember this,
- 11:03Speaker 2: do you remember that?
- 11:04Speaker 3: She yes, she did put the whip cream in, did
- 11:07Speaker 3: that and flew it into her mouth and caught it
- 11:10Speaker 3: with her mouth.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Okay, okay, April jokes, and I love this April joke.
- 11:16Speaker 2: She says, there's no age, there's just there's always, but
- 11:19Speaker 2: there's always botox. And I agree. There Leslie, it's obviously
- 11:25Speaker 2: like the standout performance because Leslie, we know dated Prince
- 11:31Speaker 2: and he wrote a song about her and it's about dancing,
- 11:34Speaker 2: and we know that she's a fitness instructor and a
- 11:36Speaker 2: professional dancer, so she was going to show up. What
- 11:39Speaker 2: did you think of her basically giving him a mini
- 11:44Speaker 2: lap dance.
- 11:45Speaker 3: I thought it was great. She was putting herself out there,
- 11:49Speaker 3: but he was not the man to do it with.
- 11:52Speaker 3: He has very protective tendencies. I have a psychology background.
- 11:57Speaker 2: So I was gonna say, tell me more about this,
- 12:00Speaker 2: and it sounds interesting.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Gravitates to the woman that he could help and be
- 12:07Speaker 3: compassionate with, and that's why he seems to form connections
- 12:11Speaker 3: with the widows and the ones that are opening up
- 12:15Speaker 3: to him and feeling vulnerable because he swoops right in
- 12:19Speaker 3: to be their savior kind of an understanding them. So
- 12:24Speaker 3: her doing the lap dance was way too aggressive for him.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Other men might have loved it, but in this particular case,
- 12:34Speaker 3: she wasn't reading the room correctly with him, so to speak.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I do think that there's a physical attraction there, because
- 12:43Speaker 2: he said last week he was like, do you know,
- 12:45Speaker 2: like how sexy you are or something like that. Oh yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 2: I know. But I don't think that she's the one.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I think it's more of a physical connection.
- 12:54Speaker 3: The girl that he wrote that left.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I thought, you know, we got to get to Joe. Now,
- 12:59Speaker 2: that's what I said. I know why she was one
- 13:02Speaker 2: of my favorites from the get go. I feel like
- 13:06Speaker 2: she was one of the prettiest ladies there, and she
- 13:11Speaker 2: she wins. She was very concerned about not having a talent,
- 13:16Speaker 2: and she pulled through with one. She wrote a poem.
- 13:19Speaker 2: She killed it with the audience. And even though Leslie
- 13:23Speaker 2: thinks that like her dance is going to take over
- 13:26Speaker 2: because it's like a true talent of hers, Joan wins
- 13:31Speaker 2: and I think deservingly so. And they go to dinner
- 13:35Speaker 2: and they have initial conversation about losing their spouses, and
- 13:38Speaker 2: all of a sudden, you know, she's got the roast.
- 13:42Speaker 2: It's just one of those dates. It went too fast.
- 13:45Speaker 2: She does mention that her daughter had a baby fifteen
- 13:48Speaker 2: days ago, and that's that's kind of what we got.
- 13:52Speaker 2: She said that she loved being married, and.
- 13:54Speaker 3: She emergency was but I'm assuming it was posting herd
- 13:57Speaker 3: on depression of some sort.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Maybe some of that, yeah, because she had a traumatic delivery.
- 14:03Speaker 2: So that's what happens. The next day we find out
- 14:05Speaker 2: that even though the baby has been born, and it
- 14:09Speaker 2: seems that she was, she probably left home just mere
- 14:14Speaker 2: days two three days after her daughter gave birth, based
- 14:18Speaker 2: on where they are at this point in the quote
- 14:20Speaker 2: competition and how early she had to probably get to
- 14:23Speaker 2: the hotel before filming. But then she gets a she
- 14:28Speaker 2: gets a message which is this is this is where
- 14:31Speaker 2: I'm interested about the production level of this she tells
- 14:35Speaker 2: Gary at the dinner date that my daughter had a
- 14:38Speaker 2: baby and that it wasn't an easy delivery. And then
- 14:42Speaker 2: the next morning she has access to her phone, which
- 14:46Speaker 2: we are not given access to phones. So I want
- 14:49Speaker 2: to know whether or not the producers. There's two ways
- 14:56Speaker 2: this is going to get the kick go we I
- 14:59Speaker 2: I personally give my parents, my sister the number of
- 15:04Speaker 2: a producer before I have my phone taken away, so
- 15:06Speaker 2: that if there's an emergency they can get in touch
- 15:09Speaker 2: with me. Either that just coincidentally happened, and the producer
- 15:17Speaker 2: just that morning was like, hey, we got a text
- 15:19Speaker 2: from your daughter. Here it is or I wonder if
- 15:24Speaker 2: for some reason, maybe for dramatic reason, I don't know,
- 15:28Speaker 2: they were like, hey, do you want to check your phone?
- 15:31Speaker 2: And they gave her the and they gave her the
- 15:33Speaker 2: phone knowing there was a text from the daughter. I'm
- 15:37Speaker 2: just like interested to see how it went from them
- 15:40Speaker 2: having a date that night before to the next morning
- 15:44Speaker 2: after the connection has already been formed for dramatic effect.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Was there's some behind the scenes play with when she
- 15:54Speaker 2: received the text message?
- 15:56Speaker 3: Yeah, do you think the producers got the text message earlier?
- 16:01Speaker 2: Yeah? I mean if I should be, if I'm to
- 16:04Speaker 2: be true dramatic. Yes, I think that that is a possibility.
- 16:10Speaker 2: It could be, could be, I could be. But I
- 16:13Speaker 2: also like, I'm kind of looking at it in like
- 16:17Speaker 2: a little bit more of a malicious way, and I
- 16:19Speaker 2: don't I don't know if that's how it went down.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Well, these shows are scripted to some extent.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I'm not scripted, but like the timing of things certainly
- 16:29Speaker 2: not scripted, but the timing that things awry awry. Yeah, yeah,
- 16:36Speaker 2: So there's there's some questions that I have about her
- 16:39Speaker 2: her departure there, and yeah, I'm I know that she
- 16:44Speaker 2: had to go, but I really think she could have
- 16:46Speaker 2: gotten far.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Oh. I thought she would have hands down winner.
- 16:51Speaker 2: She definitely could have been up there.
- 16:53Speaker 3: I kept on thinking the whole time I was watching
- 16:55Speaker 3: that that, Oh my god. Months later, when the daughter
- 16:59Speaker 3: is watching this as we are watching it now.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Is she gonna be so sad that she must feel.
- 17:05Speaker 3: So terrible that she ripped her mother out of such
- 17:08Speaker 3: a wonderful situation for her mother's benefit. You know that
- 17:13Speaker 3: this could have been it for her mother.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Joan is very grateful that he even like kind of
- 17:21Speaker 2: woke her up again into the dating field and like
- 17:23Speaker 2: made her feel like it's something that she can do again.
- 17:25Speaker 2: And it was a huge step and she got a
- 17:28Speaker 2: lot out of the experience. I don't know that her
- 17:31Speaker 2: daughter is gonna I don't think her daughter is gonna
- 17:34Speaker 2: feel bad. I think her daughter probably really needed her
- 17:37Speaker 2: to bring her out of that situation.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Yeah, there's nothing in the media of what it was.
- 17:44Speaker 3: They don't say if it was a physical thing, and
- 17:48Speaker 3: then she needed help with the baby, maybe, but.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, she definitely probably needed help with the baby.
- 17:53Speaker 3: But normally the daughter would be thinking she's one of many,
- 17:57Speaker 3: it's like, no big deal. But she didn't see the
- 18:00Speaker 3: amazing connection that they had just made, you know, and
- 18:05Speaker 3: to rip her away from what could possibly been her
- 18:08Speaker 3: future husband at.
- 18:09Speaker 2: That point, Well, what would you have done if your daughter,
- 18:13Speaker 2: who is, you know, thirty three and when she does
- 18:16Speaker 2: have a baby one day, what would you do, especially
- 18:20Speaker 2: since you're thinking about being casted and your grandkid is
- 18:24Speaker 2: fifteen days old.
- 18:26Speaker 3: I guess family always does come first. I mean that's
- 18:30Speaker 3: as mothers typically, that's what we do. We always put
- 18:33Speaker 3: everybody else ahead of ourselves, and that's exactly what she did. Yeah,
- 18:38Speaker 3: you know, it's hard though, you know, it's very very difficult.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that being said, perhaps Joan knew that it wasn't
- 18:46Speaker 2: going to be Gary for her. Maybe she really liked him,
- 18:49Speaker 2: but kind of just knew in her wounes that like
- 18:52Speaker 2: it wasn't the one.
- 18:54Speaker 3: That's a very interesting perspective. I didn't think about.
- 18:57Speaker 2: That one, because then she'd be like, I don't want
- 18:59Speaker 2: to waste time. I'm here, like I really like him,
- 19:02Speaker 2: but I know, like I don't see myself marrying him
- 19:04Speaker 2: or spending the rest of my life with him. So
- 19:07Speaker 2: this was a great stepping stone. But I don't want
- 19:10Speaker 2: to waste time away from my family right now when
- 19:12Speaker 2: they need me.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Could be very interesting perspective. I like that a lot.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 19:18Speaker 4: That makes us feel better about it, all right. That
- 19:20Speaker 4: makes you feel better. That makes you feel better, all right.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Well, now it's time for Ellen's one on one and
- 19:37Speaker 2: Ellen gets to play dress up with Michael Costello, one
- 19:41Speaker 2: of my favorite dress designers. Oh my gosh, what a
- 19:44Speaker 2: fun date. She picks a beautiful dress. They go on
- 19:48Speaker 2: a day date where they go to it's kind of
- 19:51Speaker 2: like I know where they went. We my husband and
- 19:53Speaker 2: I have taken pictures where they went. It's basically like
- 19:56Speaker 2: it's like this, it's like the zoo in Malibu. I
- 20:00Speaker 2: think it's the Malibu Yeah, I think it's the Malibu Zoo.
- 20:03Speaker 2: And it's just like a really gorgeous, picturesque hilly winery vibe.
- 20:09Speaker 2: And they have a little nice conversation. She was with
- 20:12Speaker 2: her husband for twenty five years, but they did get divorced,
- 20:16Speaker 2: and she talks about her wedding because she's like, you know,
- 20:20Speaker 2: what was your wedding day like? And he says he
- 20:22Speaker 2: doesn't even remember it, but he does remember how poor
- 20:25Speaker 2: they were and they loved having the in laws and
- 20:29Speaker 2: his parents over just to bring over free groceries. And
- 20:32Speaker 2: I love that he definitely looks back on that point
- 20:35Speaker 2: of their lives with like a gold a goldenness, a
- 20:39Speaker 2: golden glow around it. Where my parents kind of the same.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I always just hear about how the rent was always
- 20:46Speaker 2: late and they loved it when my grandparents would cook
- 20:50Speaker 2: for them. So it's cute. I like that stuff. And
- 20:54Speaker 2: they grow up together, Yeah, they grow and become you know,
- 21:01Speaker 2: the adult together, you know. So Ellen goes on a
- 21:06Speaker 2: hot air balloon with him. It's beautiful. They're kissing he
- 21:10Speaker 2: gives her a rose on the hot air balloon, And
- 21:13Speaker 2: it's just I think that he just kind of gets
- 21:15Speaker 2: along with everyone. Could you imagine Gary ever just eliminating
- 21:19Speaker 2: somebody on a one one You know what, I'm not
- 21:22Speaker 2: really feeling this connection. Could you imagine? No way, it's
- 21:26Speaker 2: bound to happen.
- 21:28Speaker 3: It's bad to happen. I'm looking for he gets. He
- 21:32Speaker 3: does form these connections with every single woman. He finds
- 21:37Speaker 3: the good in every single person. Yeah, he doesn't focus
- 21:41Speaker 3: on the negative. He only focuses on the positives, which
- 21:44Speaker 3: I love about him. That's going to make his choice
- 21:48Speaker 3: very difficult in the long.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Run, for sure. For sure.
- 21:51Speaker 3: I'm just curious if she gets to keep the ear rings.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, she probably gets to keep these. I think
- 21:58Speaker 2: she gets to keep the gorgeous Yeah there, so pretty,
- 22:01Speaker 2: so pretty all right, Well that is basically the big
- 22:05Speaker 2: parts of this episode. We had the rose ceremony. We limited,
- 22:09Speaker 2: we eliminate it down to a very a very few
- 22:15Speaker 2: faith Sandra, Leslie, Nancy, Susan, April, Teresa. They get roses
- 22:22Speaker 2: in addition to the roses that Kathy gets during the
- 22:26Speaker 2: cocktail hour. Because Kathy just you know, she needed extra reassurance,
- 22:34Speaker 2: I think, which is why Gary went and got the
- 22:36Speaker 2: rose to her early. And then of course it's also
- 22:41Speaker 2: Ellen's rose. And the ladies that leave are Edith and Christina.
- 22:45Speaker 2: We didn't know much about Christina at all, and Edith
- 22:47Speaker 2: I thought was a very attractive lady.
- 22:49Speaker 3: I loved your hair too, have magnificent hair.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Yes, it's too bad to see her go, but I
- 22:56Speaker 2: guess they just didn't have it together. We never really
- 22:58Speaker 2: saw them interact.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the shame of it, because there's only so
- 23:03Speaker 3: much time, I know, for him to get to everybody,
- 23:06Speaker 3: or we just don't see it, you know. I guess
- 23:09Speaker 3: if the producers don't bother to film those the ones
- 23:12Speaker 3: that he doesn't.
- 23:13Speaker 2: It's all filmed. Did they chose not to put that
- 23:16Speaker 2: on TV? Because she was going to get eliminated? I
- 23:18Speaker 2: think with the little amount of time we have in
- 23:20Speaker 2: these episodes, if these people aren't going to get far,
- 23:24Speaker 2: they're not going to show us much, which is another
- 23:26Speaker 2: reason why I thought that maybe they cut his date
- 23:30Speaker 2: with Joan so short because they're like, uh, it's inconsequential
- 23:34Speaker 2: because she leaves tomorrow.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Is the regular bachelor two hours?
- 23:40Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 23:40Speaker 3: Oh, so why did they only do it. It doesn't
- 23:43Speaker 3: work so much in the one hour format.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Isn't it shocking? You think like an hour long show
- 23:49Speaker 2: should be fine. It's really forty minutes with commercials, But
- 23:52Speaker 2: it's really necessary. I never realize how necessary the two
- 23:57Speaker 2: hours were because saying.
- 24:00Speaker 3: You're getting a consolidated version, and we need to see
- 24:03Speaker 3: more of these connections. We're seeing a lot of the
- 24:06Speaker 3: women's connections with each other, but we're not really seeing
- 24:11Speaker 3: a lot of airtime. Need these connections with him.
- 24:14Speaker 2: We need way more conversations. We need to see way
- 24:18Speaker 2: more of the conversations they're having because what we see
- 24:21Speaker 2: is great. What we see is amazing, and we love it,
- 24:24Speaker 2: and that's we're craving more. And my mom always says,
- 24:27Speaker 2: leave when you're having fun, make them want more. But
- 24:31Speaker 2: it doesn't work here.
- 24:33Speaker 3: No oh, because we want to form our own opinions
- 24:37Speaker 3: and our own judgments, and we're not given the opportunity
- 24:40Speaker 3: because we don't see them really interacting all that much.
- 24:45Speaker 2: I know, I'm sure next season will be two hour
- 24:49Speaker 2: long episodes. We just have a good, good cut feeling
- 24:53Speaker 2: that there will be another season because the ratings are
- 24:57Speaker 2: amazing and the debut night, just like all the numbers
- 25:00Speaker 2: throughout streaming and whatnot are great. And I just I
- 25:05Speaker 2: just think that they made it an hour because it
- 25:07Speaker 2: was sort of an experimental season to see how people
- 25:11Speaker 2: took to it.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Are they going to do too?
- 25:15Speaker 2: This is just my guess. This is just my guess.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I'd be shocked if they continued with.
- 25:18Speaker 3: The hour, because I want to sign up.
- 25:22Speaker 2: I know you got to sign up.
- 25:24Speaker 3: I want to sign up so bad.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Okay, well, we will will teach you how to do it.
- 25:30Speaker 3: I'm looking for a lot of America.
- 25:33Speaker 2: I think there's gonna be so many applications for next season.
- 25:37Speaker 2: So if you need help pushing it along, you let
- 25:40Speaker 2: us know. Thank you. Thank you for coming on and
- 25:45Speaker 2: giving us all your opinions and recapping with me. We
- 25:47Speaker 2: really appreciate it.
- 25:48Speaker 3: Well, if you need me again, I'm here all right.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Thank you so much, Marcy. We will will take you
- 25:55Speaker 2: up on that offer.
