- 0:02Speaker 1: Have you ever sent your man to go pick something
- 0:05Speaker 1: up from the store and they sadly missed an instruction
- 0:09Speaker 1: or two or came home with the completely wrong item,
- 0:12Speaker 1: kind of like Brittany. Brittany texted us and she said
- 0:15Speaker 1: Lysol Multi surface cleaner, and Angie, this might sound familiar.
- 0:20Speaker 1: She had a picture for this sweet man. I'm sure, well,
- 0:23Speaker 1: I know she had the picture, but I'm sure he's
- 0:25Speaker 1: a sweet man. He brought home chlorox. I can't even
- 0:30Speaker 1: get through this at leaving Clorox wipes.
- 0:33Speaker 2: How how with a.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Picture and it's a completely different title.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I my mind's given up hope on all of this,
- 0:45Speaker 1: and she has gone completely risk free when it comes
- 0:50Speaker 1: to sending me to pick stuff up. I texted Corey,
- 0:53Speaker 1: I'm not getting you six minutes ago. This is our
- 0:54Speaker 1: exact conversation. I said, Hey, have you ever asked me
- 0:57Speaker 1: to get something from the store and I came home
- 0:59Speaker 1: with something completely wrong?
- 1:00Speaker 4: And she was like, I'm not sure.
- 1:02Speaker 1: It's probably happened a billion times, but not in the
- 1:04Speaker 1: past like five years, because I just do the pickup order.
- 1:08Speaker 1: And I meant, uh, you haven't had to go pick
- 1:11Speaker 1: up the groceries by yourself? Like ever.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Well, but she is the one who places the order.
- 1:17Speaker 4: That's exactly right.
- 1:18Speaker 1: She goes, Honey, I meant I do the pickup order,
- 1:21Speaker 1: so you don't get the fuck. Yeah, that's that's just
- 1:25Speaker 1: being smart right there.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I should have learned my lesson already, because I think
- 1:29Speaker 3: it was last week he brought home the wrong thing,
- 1:32Speaker 3: and it was the third time he had done this,
- 1:36Speaker 3: despite having pictures, and yet I try to have faith
- 1:39Speaker 3: in that man, but he failed me yet again.
- 1:43Speaker 4: You just got to do the pickup ordered it.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Well, I wanted to have this by the time I
- 1:48Speaker 3: got home yesterday and I needed goz pads, and so
- 1:53Speaker 3: I said, Mike, can you pick up goz pads. He's
- 1:56Speaker 3: been helping me put the goz pads on. I had
- 1:59Speaker 3: a surgery, so I've been using the Goze. Yeah, he
- 2:02Speaker 3: knows exactly what they look like. He helps me with
- 2:04Speaker 3: them every single day. It's been three weeks, almost four,
- 2:08Speaker 3: so he knows. He knows what these things are.
- 2:11Speaker 2: And also a.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Goze pad is a pretty basic thing. And he said, yeah,
- 2:15Speaker 3: I will get that for you.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Hey, great start. We started out hot. Yeah, in the
- 2:20Speaker 1: first quarter. We're doing the right thing so far.
- 2:22Speaker 2: So good.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:23Speaker 3: So I get home and I see that there's a
- 2:26Speaker 3: box and I didn't but the box was inside the bag,
- 2:29Speaker 3: so I didn't like get a clear look at it,
- 2:31Speaker 3: but I assumed these were the Goze pads. So this
- 2:34Speaker 3: morning I'm like, hey, can you help me with these
- 2:37Speaker 3: goz pads? And he said, well, actually I got a
- 2:39Speaker 3: roll of gaze because they didn't have the pads.
- 2:42Speaker 2: And I said that's fine.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Yeah, just we'll use the scissors and we'll cut them
- 2:47Speaker 3: into squares.
- 2:48Speaker 2: No, biggie.
- 2:50Speaker 3: He opens the box and he pulls out something fluffy
- 2:54Speaker 3: that I don't even know what this is. And he said, oh,
- 2:58Speaker 3: it isn't goze, it's cotton.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Why so why is this cotton?
- 3:05Speaker 1: So?
- 3:05Speaker 4: Can you? Can you not?
- 3:07Speaker 2: I can't use it.
- 3:08Speaker 3: No, the way and the way my incisions are, I
- 3:10Speaker 3: cannot use this cotton whatever. And I said, well, did
- 3:14Speaker 3: the box say Gauze on it? No? Why why would
- 3:22Speaker 3: you go from getting gozepads to getting roll of cotton?
- 3:28Speaker 2: Why would you think that's the same thing.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, here's what happens to some of us fellas,
- 3:34Speaker 1: not all, but some of us.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Well, what was the thought process?
- 3:37Speaker 3: There?
- 3:37Speaker 2: Is what I need to know.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Wow, Angie, here's that's your first mistake. Okay, dudes don't
- 3:41Speaker 1: have process. We just have thoughts. Thought process. It's just thought.
- 3:50Speaker 5: Celebrating life's little victories. Every morning. We practice gratitude on
- 3:55Speaker 5: big ninety eight points stuff.
- 3:57Speaker 4: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 3:59Speaker 4: bye job, bust it out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 4:03Speaker 5: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one two,
- 4:06Speaker 5: eight oh one ninety eight seven.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Kids.
- 4:08Speaker 4: I also needed to win that day, and.
- 4:10Speaker 1: A big shout out to Emily here, Angie. Emily texted
- 4:14Speaker 1: and she said, I finally paired all of my socks.
- 4:18Speaker 1: There's no singles left in the drawer. Today is my
- 4:21Speaker 1: super Bowl. Wait to go, Emily. You know a little
- 4:24Speaker 1: life hack for that?
- 4:26Speaker 3: I need it because literally, I've been looking for sock
- 4:29Speaker 3: pairs for the last week, so I've just been wearing
- 4:32Speaker 3: Mikey socks instead.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Really yeah, no, I don't know why that. If I
- 4:36Speaker 1: find that, that's not that weird, but it's just interesting.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Well, I don't know where my socks are. I lost them.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Here's your life hack. Okay.
- 4:42Speaker 1: When you get to a point where you're like enough
- 4:44Speaker 1: is enough, I am gonna start wearing the same socks
- 4:47Speaker 1: every single day, the same pair or what am I saying,
- 4:50Speaker 1: like where they match?
- 4:51Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, here's what you do.
- 4:53Speaker 1: You take every sock you own, every single one, and
- 4:56Speaker 1: you throw it in the garbage. And then what you
- 4:58Speaker 1: do is you march your little booty wal Mart or
- 5:00Speaker 1: Target or wherever who you insert your favorite store here, Shields,
- 5:04Speaker 1: and you buy just three bags of the same sock
- 5:08Speaker 1: for twenty bucks. And then all your socks match no
- 5:12Speaker 1: matter what, because they're all the same sock. And then
- 5:15Speaker 1: for life you just have matching socks until a couple
- 5:19Speaker 1: of years down the road those ones start to wear out,
- 5:22Speaker 1: throw every single one of them away, and spend twenty
- 5:25Speaker 1: bucks on or thirty bucks or whatever it is on
- 5:28Speaker 1: the same bag of socks.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I know so much about you now, game.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I do this every couple of years.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Oh I know.
- 5:35Speaker 4: Yeah, Angie, do you have a little victory for me today?
- 5:38Speaker 4: I do.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I hit my protein goal, my daily protein goal, every
- 5:42Speaker 3: single day this week. And the reason that is so
- 5:45Speaker 3: important to me is because I hate to make this
- 5:49Speaker 3: my entire personality, but I got a press.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, and I am trying to recover.
- 5:54Speaker 3: And they say that two really important things when you're
- 5:58Speaker 3: in recovery from a surgery is a lot of protein
- 6:00Speaker 3: and a lot of rest.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Now the rest portion. Yeah, I'm not the best at
- 6:05Speaker 2: but I.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Did hit my protein goal all week and I am
- 6:09Speaker 3: feeling much better, So I feel like it makes sense.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Yeah, protein helps build muscle. Yeah, so good on me.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I learned that in high school science class. Good for you,
- 6:20Speaker 1: and I remembered it all these years later. All right, Angie,
- 6:22Speaker 1: my little victory for you today is kind of funny.
- 6:26Speaker 1: My wife texted me this morning what she always does.
- 6:29Speaker 1: You know, Hey, good morning, blah blah blah. My wife
- 6:32Speaker 1: had a spicy dream about me.
- 6:34Speaker 4: You know how.
- 6:36Speaker 1: You know how horrible dream Gabe has been every morning
- 6:40Speaker 1: when I'm telling you about what I did in Dreamland lands.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Yeah, dream Gabe has a really bad track record.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Yeah, looking great until today, on February twentieth, dream Gabe
- 6:51Speaker 1: finally did something right.
- 6:52Speaker 4: So I just want to round Viplaza.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Dream Gabe.
- 6:55Speaker 1: It's nice when my wife wakes up and text me
- 6:57Speaker 1: something nice instead of like, here's one of you.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Did dream last night.
- 7:01Speaker 1: It's kind of nice to get a w in dreamland Okay, because.
- 7:07Speaker 4: You had about this.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Down Oh my gosh, I feel this in my soul.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Angie is going through it a bit.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I have been in a battle.
- 7:19Speaker 3: I'm not going to get into the specifics in case
- 7:22Speaker 3: somebody hears it and snitches on me, because I'm still
- 7:24Speaker 3: scared of her.
- 7:25Speaker 2: But my mother and.
- 7:26Speaker 3: I are in, i mean, the fight.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Of the century, and it's been going on. This is
- 7:34Speaker 2: day two.
- 7:36Speaker 3: The issue is she.
- 7:37Speaker 2: And I are so similar.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I'm so stubborn, except for I'm more logical. But whatever,
- 7:45Speaker 3: It's just it's a back and forth and I feel terrible.
- 7:50Speaker 3: I feel terrible about the whole thing, but I also
- 7:53Speaker 3: need therapy, so I can't stop myself, and I'm just
- 7:57Speaker 3: I'm making things expan worse. Yeah, and I don't like
- 8:03Speaker 3: so I need to be stopped and I can't be stopped,
- 8:07Speaker 3: and so basically I'm in an FML situation.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly right. It's kind of funny. It's like
- 8:13Speaker 1: two people who just have to get that last word.
- 8:16Speaker 1: That's that's what your situation is right now. Yeah, and
- 8:20Speaker 1: her mother both can't just like put the phone down
- 8:24Speaker 1: and let it.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Go for a day.
- 8:26Speaker 1: No, they no, Angel, You're having a bit of an
- 8:33Speaker 1: FML moment, and so what does misery.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Love company other people who are also miserable.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Okay, I want you to know that there are some
- 8:42Speaker 1: people out there who are going through it just like you.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Like For example, this person said, I got sick of
- 8:48Speaker 1: my mother in law telling me everything I do bring
- 8:51Speaker 1: shame to the family. So I meanly asked her if
- 8:55Speaker 1: her son spending three months in prison was shameful or
- 8:58Speaker 1: he was already forgiven. It turned out that he told
- 9:01Speaker 1: her he'd spent three months touring Brazil que the massive
- 9:05Speaker 1: family screaming match.
- 9:06Speaker 2: FML. Oh no, that might be worse.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Things worse, all right?
- 9:11Speaker 4: What about this? Today?
- 9:12Speaker 1: While at work, I asked an older customer how he
- 9:16Speaker 1: was doing. He told me that he'd just lost his wife.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I gave my condolences before he clarified his wife's not dead,
- 9:24Speaker 1: she's just lost in Walmart.
- 9:25Speaker 4: I can't find her. Oh that's not that bad.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Actually, no, actually I'm mad. I No, that makes it
- 9:32Speaker 3: seem like I want her to have died.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I do not want that.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Today, my wife, daughter, and I get to spend the
- 9:39Speaker 1: next four hours in the er. Why because we are
- 9:43Speaker 1: all throwing up at the same time. At least it
- 9:46Speaker 1: counts as a family. Activity.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Ell.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Okay, well, yeah, that's worse.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, one more for you here, Angie.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Today, while reading some chemistry notes, I came across the
- 9:58Speaker 1: term solid one water. Completely stumped, I asked myself, what
- 10:03Speaker 1: the heck is solid water? Then I turned to my
- 10:06Speaker 1: little cousin and he says, ice, I'm a fourth year
- 10:11Speaker 1: science major in the university. Here he still checks closets
- 10:15Speaker 1: for monsters.
- 10:17Speaker 4: FML. That's actually a cute one to end on.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe I should tell my mom that story and
- 10:22Speaker 3: then that'll like make things better.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Well, just know, Angie, while you're in a bit of
- 10:26Speaker 1: a about a spark what's the word of spar while
- 10:33Speaker 1: you're fighting Matt, Yeah, while you're in a fight with
- 10:36Speaker 1: your mom, here, there are some other people who are
- 10:38Speaker 1: right there with you.
- 10:41Speaker 4: If you just missed it.
- 10:42Speaker 1: A handful of minutes ago, we learned that Angie's in
- 10:46Speaker 1: a bit of a tizzy with her mother. And I'm sorry,
- 10:48Speaker 1: but the date doesn't get better right now, I'm really sorry.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Did you know YouTube is now of legal drinking age?
- 11:01Speaker 1: YouTube has been around for twenty one years. It was
- 11:05Speaker 1: officially founded Valentine's Day of twenty twenty five.
- 11:09Speaker 2: So what did I do Angie of twenty.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Or of twenty two thousand and five? Excuse me, Mike
- 11:14Speaker 1: two thousand and five. Oh my gosh, some diet over here.
- 11:19Speaker 3: So in two thousand and five YouTube I was graduating
- 11:22Speaker 3: high school. Yeah, Oh my gosh, I'm old and my
- 11:28Speaker 3: mom hates me.
- 11:29Speaker 2: This is the worst stay of.
- 11:30Speaker 4: My last Oh it gets better. Okay.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Do you want to know what else is of legal
- 11:35Speaker 1: drinking age this year?
- 11:36Speaker 4: Angie? What the office?
- 11:39Speaker 1: The office twenty one years old in twenty twenty six?
- 11:44Speaker 2: Are you trying to hurt me? Or what is? What
- 11:47Speaker 2: is the goal?
- 11:48Speaker 4: Well? What about this one, Angie? The fourth Harry Potter movie.
- 11:54Speaker 4: It's twenty one years old today.
- 11:57Speaker 2: The fourth one Harry Potter?
- 11:59Speaker 1: And the what of fire is of legal drinking age
- 12:02Speaker 1: this year? That one kind of hurts.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I don't think I'm gonna make it to the end
- 12:08Speaker 3: of this show intact game.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Well, I got one more for you.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:12Speaker 4: Reddit is old enough to legally drink.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Reddit still as people arguing about how to remove snow
- 12:19Speaker 1: the correct way on it.
- 12:20Speaker 4: But I love Reddit.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I feel like Reddit has been around since the nineties,
- 12:26Speaker 1: but that's clearly not true. It's twenty one years old today.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Or this year.
- 12:30Speaker 2: After all of that, I need a drink.
- 12:38Speaker 1: It's kind of crazy to think the Olympics on Sunday
- 12:43Speaker 1: will wrap up. That will be the last day of
- 12:45Speaker 1: the Olympics. It's been so fun to follow along with
- 12:47Speaker 1: some of the storylines. Obviously, I've talked a ton about
- 12:50Speaker 1: the two hockey teams. The figure skaters have been wonderful,
- 12:53Speaker 1: the curling. The US women beat Switzerland last night or yes, yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 1: so they advance into the playoff potentials for a medal.
- 13:02Speaker 1: It's been so fun. If you followed any storyline, and
- 13:05Speaker 1: if you saw this this I don't know why, but
- 13:07Speaker 1: this feels like it's a Pixar movie or like a
- 13:10Speaker 1: short film as a dog briefly stole the spotlight at
- 13:14Speaker 1: the Olympics when it ran onto the course during the
- 13:17Speaker 1: women's cross country team sprint race.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Now I love this.
- 13:23Speaker 1: This dog was a wolf dog, so half wolf half dog.
- 13:28Speaker 1: This thing just hey, I see a bunch of people running.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I want to join a pack. I'm gonna get to
- 13:33Speaker 1: running as well.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Yeah. It uh.
- 13:35Speaker 1: It actually wandered into the finish area where volunteers, you know,
- 13:40Speaker 1: they gave it attention and a bunch of belly rubs.
- 13:42Speaker 2: It really was just a sweet story.
- 13:44Speaker 1: And I was wondering, have you ever had an animal
- 13:47Speaker 1: kind of interrupt an event, whether that was just, you know,
- 13:49Speaker 1: simply in your home, or you were at a major
- 13:52Speaker 1: sporting event and someone's dog got onto the field seven
- 13:56Speaker 1: h one two eight zero one nine eight seven. And
- 13:59Speaker 1: we did get a text from Jane who said, this
- 14:01Speaker 1: wasn't a huge event, but we were sitting around a
- 14:03Speaker 1: campfire and a raccoon waltzed up and stole our loaf
- 14:07Speaker 1: of bread, which is very funny to think about. That
- 14:11Speaker 1: raccoon was me, Yeah, right, Angie, have you ever had
- 14:15Speaker 1: an animal and kind of interrupt an event of your show?
- 14:18Speaker 2: Here's the thing. I really love animals.
- 14:21Speaker 3: I'm a vegan for that reason, but I'm also very
- 14:24Speaker 3: terrified of a specific one and or specific kind birds.
- 14:30Speaker 3: I am terrified of birds. And there was a time
- 14:33Speaker 3: where I was there was this little we called it
- 14:36Speaker 3: the exercise room because it had like a treadmill in it,
- 14:40Speaker 3: but really it was just the room we would go
- 14:42Speaker 3: tuck on the phone if we wanted to make.
- 14:44Speaker 2: A phone call.
- 14:45Speaker 3: And I was on the phone and I heard this
- 14:47Speaker 3: rustling sound and I thought, what what is that?
- 14:52Speaker 2: And it was a pigeon.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Oh no, that had made its way somehow, that had
- 14:59Speaker 3: made its way, yeah, somehow into the house.
- 15:01Speaker 2: And the wrestling was the pigeon being between two boxes.
- 15:05Speaker 4: I wouldn't like that at all.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I mean that was the worst that.
- 15:09Speaker 3: I mean, it felt like an event because it was terrified. Yeah,
- 15:12Speaker 3: it was very traumatic.
- 15:14Speaker 2: But no, never any cute animals.
- 15:16Speaker 3: I'm not Yeah, who's the I'm not.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Doctor Doolittle like he gets all the cool things.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Rebecca, have you had an animal interrupting.
- 15:24Speaker 6: Event at my cousin's graduation. Right when they called his name,
- 15:27Speaker 6: a squirrel ran across the stage, climbed the podium and
- 15:31Speaker 6: just sat there holding a chill. Like it was the valedictorians.
- 15:34Speaker 6: That's any higher crowd forgot about the graduates for like
- 15:38Speaker 6: five minutes.
- 15:38Speaker 2: I kind of love that.
- 15:39Speaker 4: That's adorable.
- 15:40Speaker 2: See see that's a Pixar movie. That's right. This is
- 15:47Speaker 2: am I the problem.
- 15:48Speaker 6: It's me.
- 15:51Speaker 4: I'm the problem.
- 15:52Speaker 6: It's me.
- 15:53Speaker 4: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your help.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Am I the problem decide if it's right or if
- 15:59Speaker 5: maybe you're the problem.
- 16:01Speaker 4: I'm hardly the problem.
- 16:02Speaker 5: On Big ninety eight, point seven.
- 16:05Speaker 3: We had Randall right into us, and basically he wants
- 16:08Speaker 3: to know if we can tell his wife that she's wrong.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Oh, don't worry, Randal, I got you good.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Morning, gave and Angie, hope you are well. I'm a
- 16:18Speaker 3: little overweight and my wife told me to go on ozempic,
- 16:21Speaker 3: but I told her with exercise, I'll lose the weight.
- 16:24Speaker 3: But now she's putting me on a diet that I
- 16:26Speaker 3: don't like and don't.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Want to be on. And I think it's a double standard.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Imagine if I told her to take ozempic and then
- 16:34Speaker 3: put her on a diet to lose weight, people would
- 16:37Speaker 3: call me a controlling misogynist and tell her to divorce me.
- 16:41Speaker 3: But it's fine for her to say and do all
- 16:43Speaker 3: of those things to me. If you agree with me,
- 16:46Speaker 3: can you say so my wife listens every morning?
- 16:50Speaker 2: Well I better.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Clearly Randall has seen the Big ninety eight point seven
- 16:56Speaker 1: Facebook page.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Okay, I did put this up on the Big ninety
- 17:00Speaker 2: eight points on Facebook page.
- 17:01Speaker 3: If you want to chime in, or if you want
- 17:03Speaker 3: to call her, text seven oh one to two eight
- 17:05Speaker 3: oh one to nine eighty seven.
- 17:06Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 17:06Speaker 1: Obviously, this is incredibly rude. It's one thing if maybe
- 17:10Speaker 1: it's a health concern and you say, hey, we can
- 17:12Speaker 1: do this.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Together, that's different.
- 17:14Speaker 1: You're going on o zempic and your going on this
- 17:18Speaker 1: diet is wild I better see a flood of ladies
- 17:24Speaker 1: coming to defend my boy Randall here. Okay, because the
- 17:27Speaker 1: things that I have seen from some of these I
- 17:31Speaker 1: will say, not very smart or intelligent gentlemen who are
- 17:33Speaker 1: not sounding great for Facebook page have been murdered and
- 17:38Speaker 1: crucified in the comment section. I want to see that
- 17:41Speaker 1: same type of energy this morning on Big ninety eight
- 17:43Speaker 1: point seven. If your hubby came up to you and said, hey,
- 17:46Speaker 1: you're going on ozempic, that guy would be a horrible, horrible,
- 17:51Speaker 1: crucified deservingly so husband, Okay, this is wildly rude.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Here's my only I want to say. I want to
- 18:01Speaker 3: say that I do agree, and I agree that it
- 18:06Speaker 3: is a double standard.
- 18:07Speaker 2: However, if I could just say.
- 18:11Speaker 3: I'm not playing devil's advocate, I'm thinking about the wife
- 18:13Speaker 3: in this scenario.
- 18:15Speaker 2: I as a woman, how do I want to see this?
- 18:20Speaker 3: Okay, As a woman, we grow up with a lot
- 18:23Speaker 3: of pressure regarding our bodies and so to the point
- 18:29Speaker 3: I mean, I grew when I was in high school,
- 18:32Speaker 3: I had a pretty severe eating disorder. Like there's a
- 18:34Speaker 3: lot of pressure for girls to have the perfect body.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Women's weight is objectified and scrutinized.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Way more in general than men.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Okay, And so I think maybe the reason the wife
- 18:50Speaker 3: felt more comfortable is because she doesn't think that men
- 18:56Speaker 3: take it as personally as women would.
- 19:00Speaker 2: I think that's probably why she probably true.
- 19:02Speaker 1: And probably fair. But there is a way to go
- 19:04Speaker 1: about this. There's a way to go about it, clearly, not.
- 19:06Speaker 2: If I were her, I mean wild to just say
- 19:09Speaker 2: go onos.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:10Speaker 3: But maybe she was just thinking, well, what if he
- 19:13Speaker 3: doesn't want to work out, maybe I want to give
- 19:15Speaker 3: him the Yeah. But if I were her, I would
- 19:19Speaker 3: have said I will get on the diet too.
- 19:22Speaker 2: I think that's the.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Fair making a team thing.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, maybe he needed a little push, like
- 19:27Speaker 1: you just push a couple more salad bowls, you know,
- 19:30Speaker 1: seven one to zero. That was wildly mean, seven o
- 19:36Speaker 1: one to eight zero one eight seven. I better see
- 19:39Speaker 1: some defense from my boy Randall this morning on Big
- 19:42Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Randall wants to know if he's safe in telling his
- 19:53Speaker 3: wife she's wrong, and.
- 19:55Speaker 4: That this double rand it's a dangerous area.
- 19:59Speaker 3: So Rana's a little bit overweight. His wife told him
- 20:02Speaker 3: to get on nozimpic. He said, I'd rather lose the weight,
- 20:05Speaker 3: you know, by exercising, and so she said okay, cool,
- 20:09Speaker 3: but then put him on a diet that he absolutely hates.
- 20:12Speaker 3: And he thinks that it's a double standard because what
- 20:15Speaker 3: if he told her to get on nozempic. What if
- 20:17Speaker 3: he told her to get on the diet?
- 20:19Speaker 1: Could you imagine you got home from work today, right,
- 20:21Speaker 1: uh huh? And you know, Oh, hi Mikey, good to
- 20:24Speaker 1: see you. Yeah, it work is great. Gabe was so
- 20:26Speaker 1: funny this morning. Oh it was awesome.
- 20:28Speaker 2: We're talking fantasy things. Okay, I'm just kidding.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And then he was like, oh, hey, by the way,
- 20:33Speaker 1: you're gonna.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Get on ozempic.
- 20:36Speaker 2: So wild.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I would say to him, Oh, that's so weird that
- 20:39Speaker 3: you want to die at the age of sixties.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Yes, that's such what a choice you've made.
- 20:44Speaker 4: You didn't want to get past today.
- 20:46Speaker 1: We wanted to know what you thought at seven oh
- 20:48Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eight seven And what
- 20:52Speaker 1: d you see?
- 20:52Speaker 4: Angel.
- 20:53Speaker 3: We also put this on the Facebook page that is
- 20:56Speaker 3: on Facebook as well.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Let's see. Let's see.
- 20:59Speaker 3: I want Andrews said that you are one hundred percent correct,
- 21:03Speaker 3: but I want to see if there are ladies who
- 21:06Speaker 3: were on Randall's side, and Michelle said, Randall isn't wrong,
- 21:11Speaker 3: it's an unfair double standard.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Don't take ozepic.
- 21:14Speaker 3: If you want to lose a few pounds, do it
- 21:15Speaker 3: for you, your wife and your future.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Good luck.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's great advice.
- 21:20Speaker 6: Yep.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Julia said, definitely an unfair double standard unless there was
- 21:25Speaker 3: a legitimate health reason that he needs to lose weight
- 21:28Speaker 3: or a doctor was advising that was advising. This is
- 21:32Speaker 3: absolutely hurtful, especially if it came out of the blue
- 21:35Speaker 3: and you're the only one on the diet, that part,
- 21:38Speaker 3: if he's the only one on the like, you got
- 21:39Speaker 3: to do it together.
- 21:41Speaker 2: I will say this.
- 21:42Speaker 3: I have been in a relationship before where my partner
- 21:47Speaker 3: was a little on the overweight side, but also so
- 21:49Speaker 3: was I, and I suggested that we get on a
- 21:53Speaker 3: diet to get.
- 21:54Speaker 4: There a team thing.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Make it a team thing. Otherwise it just feels.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Really judgy, like, yeah, you you look bad and I'm
- 22:02Speaker 3: grazy over there.
- 22:03Speaker 4: Yeah, that'd be so rude.
- 22:04Speaker 2: So rude.
- 22:05Speaker 1: The best way for sure is making a team thing
- 22:08Speaker 1: or whatever, and then maybe at some point it changes
- 22:12Speaker 1: the habits of said person. You know that maybe could
- 22:15Speaker 1: lose a couple pounds and then maybe it's just a
- 22:17Speaker 1: lifestyle change for him. That's the best way to go
- 22:19Speaker 1: about it, I think, in the nicest, not offensive way.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Right. You know what's wild though, is that usually what
- 22:26Speaker 3: happens is when a couple goes on a diet together.
- 22:29Speaker 3: The guy it'll take like three days and he's shredded. Yeah,
- 22:33Speaker 3: and then you like think about a skintle and you
- 22:36Speaker 3: gain three pounds.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so d Choreog always hates that.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Right around the spring in the summer, right, your boy starts,
- 22:43Speaker 1: you know, biking, then obviously I walk the dog all
- 22:45Speaker 1: the time, but in the summer it's just way easier.
- 22:47Speaker 4: That's right.
- 22:48Speaker 2: And you're part of the bike community.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and the bike community. I'm not even in like
- 22:51Speaker 1: six days. She's always like, are you already? Like, have
- 22:56Speaker 1: you already tightened up a little bit? That is an
- 22:59Speaker 1: advantage of being a dude right there, She's like, what
- 23:01Speaker 1: is this? I gotta go on eighty seven bike rides
- 23:05Speaker 1: and you can think about a bike ride. You're already
- 23:08Speaker 1: smaller life, isn't fair, Sarah did say, And this is true.
- 23:12Speaker 1: This is for anybody who maybe has thought about ozepic
- 23:16Speaker 1: and or wants to get into it, which no shame.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm not here to hate on anybody who wants to
- 23:21Speaker 1: go that route. Sarah does say, though ozempic is not
- 23:24Speaker 1: the cure, all lifestyle change with diet and exercises the
- 23:28Speaker 1: most beneficial. There are people who often gain weight back
- 23:32Speaker 1: after taking ozempic because they go back to old habits.
- 23:35Speaker 1: So that's the best form for a lot of people,
- 23:38Speaker 1: is just creating new habits, new lifestyle change instead of
- 23:42Speaker 1: you know, this kind of cure.
- 23:43Speaker 2: All be all, you know what.
- 23:45Speaker 3: I like that Sarah went that route because at no
- 23:48Speaker 3: point was she gonna say that the wife is the problem.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Doing all right over there.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I always feel bad Not to get too graphic,
- 23:58Speaker 3: but I always feel bad because when I had my
- 24:00Speaker 3: breast reduction, obviously you have to recover from that, and
- 24:04Speaker 3: things are like nerves and things are stretching and trying
- 24:06Speaker 3: to figure themselves out.
- 24:07Speaker 2: So I'll get like these stabbing pains, and I feel.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Bad because game will look over and I'm kind of
- 24:13Speaker 3: clutching myself.
- 24:14Speaker 1: There are always three seconds before I have to turn
- 24:17Speaker 1: the microphone on, and I'm like, do I turn Angie's
- 24:20Speaker 1: make on here or not? So?
- 24:21Speaker 4: Are you all right?
- 24:22Speaker 2: Yeah? No, I'm that's good to hear switching gears.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Yeah, but today is Friday, and in seven days. It's
- 24:34Speaker 1: kind of crazy to believe time is flown by this fast.
- 24:36Speaker 1: In seven days I find out will I be a
- 24:41Speaker 1: boy dad or will I be a girl dad?
- 24:44Speaker 4: Oh my gosh.
- 24:46Speaker 1: I sent my wife a text yesterday. I've never been
- 24:48Speaker 1: so afraid to send a text in my entire life,
- 24:51Speaker 1: because she has told me I'm sure, I'm not even kidding,
- 24:54Speaker 1: probably four times the time of the appointments, all that
- 24:59Speaker 1: I remembered, but I was so terrified for the third time,
- 25:03Speaker 1: texting what day is that appointment?
- 25:04Speaker 3: Again?
- 25:05Speaker 4: Next?
- 25:05Speaker 2: No, it's Friday.
- 25:06Speaker 1: So in seven days next week, on Friday, I will
- 25:10Speaker 1: find out. So on Monday, and this is kind of
- 25:14Speaker 1: a ways down. Not this Monday coming up, but the
- 25:16Speaker 1: Monday after that. Okay, I will get to let you
- 25:19Speaker 1: know here on Big ninety eight point seven, am I
- 25:21Speaker 1: girl dad or boy dad?
- 25:23Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, this is very exciting. We got to
- 25:26Speaker 2: start a countdown clock or something.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:29Speaker 1: I have done some asking in the building, and most
- 25:33Speaker 1: of the people I ask, give me a girl, dad,
- 25:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna have a girl, most people, but there are
- 25:39Speaker 1: a few who actually have said, boy, you're gonna have
- 25:42Speaker 1: a boy a little athlete or something.
- 25:44Speaker 4: I mean, you gotta have two elite athletes in the squad,
- 25:46Speaker 4: you know what I mean?
- 25:46Speaker 2: Okay, Well, a girl could be an elite athlete too.
- 25:49Speaker 4: That's true. That's one hundred percent true.
- 25:51Speaker 2: The USA ladies high right.
- 25:54Speaker 1: I hope she gets into golf real early so I
- 25:56Speaker 1: can retire and carry the clubs to Pebble Beach. But
- 25:59Speaker 1: I had asked a couple people here that who say boy, dad,
- 26:03Speaker 1: Most say girl. And I always I always kind of think, Man,
- 26:08Speaker 1: I have it in my head that this is going
- 26:11Speaker 1: to be a girl.
- 26:12Speaker 2: You have a feeling it's a girl. One hundred percent interesting.
- 26:15Speaker 2: What about Corey?
- 26:16Speaker 4: What is she don't I don't think she really cares.
- 26:18Speaker 2: No, not that she cares about that. I'm saying like,
- 26:21Speaker 2: she doesn't have a feeling one way.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Or the other.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yeah, she doesn't feel a way at all. And I
- 26:26Speaker 1: have it in my head that it's a girl. So
- 26:28Speaker 1: much that if it's a boy, now I think I'll
- 26:30Speaker 1: be pretty surprised. Yeah, you know, I don't know anything
- 26:33Speaker 1: about having a kid, So maybe you felt this way.
- 26:35Speaker 1: If you ever did, maybe you didn't. We have a
- 26:36Speaker 1: salesperson who I was talking to this about yesterday, and
- 26:39Speaker 1: she was like, yeah, forever I thought I was having
- 26:43Speaker 1: a boy. Forever, forever, forever I was convinced, and then
- 26:45Speaker 1: it came out a girl. So now that I am
- 26:47Speaker 1: pretty sure it's going to be a girl, there's one
- 26:49Speaker 1: hundred percent. You never know, there's one hundred percent chance
- 26:51Speaker 1: this is a boy. How often am I right?
- 26:52Speaker 3: That's funny. When I was pregnant with both kids, I
- 26:57Speaker 3: knew that they were boys. I could feel it in
- 26:59Speaker 3: my bow, like I just knew, and sure enough I
- 27:02Speaker 3: have two boys.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I want to know seven oh one two eight zero
- 27:06Speaker 1: one nine eight seven this morning, were you one hundred
- 27:10Speaker 1: percent convinced you were having one thing and ended up
- 27:13Speaker 1: having the other? Or you were one hundred percent convinced
- 27:17Speaker 1: like yep, I know what this is. I can tell
- 27:19Speaker 1: and you ended up being right. Let us know here
- 27:21Speaker 1: this morning on Big ninety eight point seven. Uh so
- 27:24Speaker 1: next week I'll find out at the end of the week,
- 27:25Speaker 1: and then I'm pretty excited to share with you here
- 27:27Speaker 1: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Once you know what you're having, then we can talk
- 27:33Speaker 3: to parents and ask what's your boy dad advice or
- 27:36Speaker 3: what's your girl dadda.
- 27:38Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to that. So seven oh one two
- 27:40Speaker 1: eight zero one nine eight seven, were you convinced you
- 27:44Speaker 1: were having one thing?
- 27:45Speaker 4: Had another? Or were you one hundred percent correct?
- 27:49Speaker 2: Big nine? I need some good.
- 27:53Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 27:57Speaker 5: good news on Big ninety eight points seven.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Now, Angie and I joke a lot about here on
- 28:02Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven, myself being part of the
- 28:05Speaker 1: bike community. Oh yes, well, Ken Naylor is the bike
- 28:12Speaker 1: bike community. Excuse me so emotional, I'm getting choked up here.
- 28:15Speaker 1: He is the bike community. This sixty one year old
- 28:18Speaker 1: has biked at least five thousand miles a year for
- 28:22Speaker 1: more than twenty years, and this is through Fargo's heat,
- 28:26Speaker 1: wind and sub zero temperatures. A North Fargo native, he
- 28:30Speaker 1: got serious into cycling in the nineteen nineties after feeling
- 28:34Speaker 1: and this is a quote, after feeling kind of lumpy.
- 28:37Speaker 1: He built up from three thousand miles in two thousand
- 28:41Speaker 1: and two to five thousand a year, and it's a
- 28:44Speaker 1: goal he has maintained ever since, and he said winter
- 28:48Speaker 1: riding is part of the plan. He bikes if it's
- 28:50Speaker 1: zero degrees or above, and he only avoids the worst wind.
- 28:53Speaker 1: In two thousand and eight, he even rode to work
- 28:57Speaker 1: in nearly thirty below temperatures just to prove that he
- 29:01Speaker 1: could beyond fitness. Biking gives Ken peace, purpose and a
- 29:05Speaker 1: deep appreciation for quiet winter nights. It also inspired his
- 29:10Speaker 1: tidy Can's effort, which is picking up litter along rural roads.
- 29:14Speaker 1: His advice to beginners don't start in the winter. Buy
- 29:18Speaker 1: a quality bike that fits properly and rides safely. In retirement,
- 29:22Speaker 1: he joked, he might double his mileage. So when he
- 29:24Speaker 1: has even more time, he might bump it up to ten.
- 29:26Speaker 2: That's wild.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Aiden is starting his biking journey, his bike community journey
- 29:33Speaker 3: once the weather warms up.
- 29:35Speaker 2: So this is exciting.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Yeah, if you have ever been in it is so
- 29:38Speaker 1: nice to just go for a ride. And I know
- 29:40Speaker 1: a lot of people run and that's great. Biking a
- 29:42Speaker 1: little easier on the ankles, the joints, the knees, the hips,
- 29:45Speaker 1: the whole nine yards. You do have to bike a
- 29:47Speaker 1: little longer than running, of course, to kind of get
- 29:49Speaker 1: the same effects. But I love biking and this is
- 29:52Speaker 1: so such an inspiring thing.
- 29:54Speaker 4: What was my goal in the month of September? Was
- 29:56Speaker 4: it one hundred?
- 29:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it was just one hundred.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna gotta We're gonna have to bump that
- 30:01Speaker 1: up because I kind of blew past.
- 30:03Speaker 2: You got to pump up those numbers.
- 30:04Speaker 4: Yeah, those are.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Rookie numbers right there.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Way to go, Ken, That's such an awesome story, and
- 30:08Speaker 1: good for you, man, keep on biking. The world is
- 30:10Speaker 1: full of nice people. If you can't find one, you
- 30:12Speaker 1: gotta be one.
