  I'm at Seattle Pacific University and.

  Yeah, I'm a I'm a regular here at the convention.

  So yeah, well, do you jumping ahead on my questions.

  I'm sorry. Let's first take a step back at

  Seattle Pacific. Which Seattle is gorgeous, by

  Did I just hear someone someone was there for the Division Two

  meet? And they told me about something

  that I really got to check out. Oh yeah.

  Now I don't remember what it is. Those are museums.

  They're like a. Hall.

  It's got to the. It's got to be Mo Pop, the

  Museum of Pop History, and it's incredible, yeah.

  He was my friend from Emory Riddle, actually.

  was really getting at? What do you coach there at

  Seattle? I'm mainly our distance coach.

  I'm associate head coach there. And obviously doubling other
• 1:49
  stuff when needed, but primarily distance.

  Yeah, Coach doesn't come with just one alley.

  No, it's a big it's a lot of hats.

  Yeah, I'm a track coach that specializes in this.

  I love it. So you said you're a convention

  regular. How many years have you been

  coming? Here, this is my 7th year, yeah,

  So it's been pretty involved in committees and a lot of things.

  So it's been just when I think about.

  This podcast, you know, coaches connection, it just feels like
• 2:16
  an extension of what we do here, you know?

  So it's a community and a lot of collaboration, sharing ideas.

  It's. Great.

  I actually kind of wonder. I mean, I kind of know where I
• 2:24
  got the idea for it and what I wanted to do for.

  I wonder because this is my, this is my Super Bowl and I love
• 2:30
  going to the incidentally championships and that is
• 2:31
  amazing. They are phenomenal.

  But to me, this is my this is my week.

  Man. Oh, I know, and I'm wondering.

  And I wonder if there's something subconsciously that
• 2:41
  that's what helped me. Because I actually started this
• 2:43
  before COVID, I was a I was a pre COVID podcaster.

  So I wonder if that there's something kind of subconscious
• 2:48
  of that. So tell me as you so you've got
• 2:51
  it down. You've been here seven years you
• 2:52
  got it down like you know you got the schedule and you got to
• 2:54
  work your time. What are you looking forward to
• 2:56
  the most this week? I always look forward to a lot
• 2:59
  of our committee work You know we we these these committees are
• 3:02
  you know I'm on Division 2 executive committee and and
• 3:05
  serve as Vice President for that committee and so there's a lot
• 3:07
  of really. Interesting legislation that
• 3:10
  we're talking about right now some proposals and and and
• 3:13
  that's just a really hard working group it's it's
• 3:15
  thankless work in many ways it's it's it's conference calls every
• 3:18
  month but then this is our time like okay we're together we're
• 3:21
  in a room and it's just people who are very invested in the
• 3:24
  sport. I I obviously one of my
• 3:27
  highlights. Obviously Bowerman, you can't go
• 3:30
  wrong with that but the Coaches Hall of Fame is a big deal for
• 3:33
  me, especially as a younger coach and I'm in my 30s and and
• 3:36
  looking at. Being inspired by these coaches
• 3:38
  from these. Amazing people.
• 3:40
  Yeah, and not all of them at big Power Five schools either.
• 3:43
  Some of the best coaches are coaching at high school.
• 3:46
  They're coaching at smaller schools.
• 3:47
  And so for me, when I'm thinking about where my career is going
• 3:52
  and. It just gives me so much hope
• 3:55
  and like what is possible in in, in this profession, you know?
• 3:58
  So I know I just listed basically everything about
• 4:00
  convention. No, no.

  You missed like 100 things. Actually.

  Come on, man, there's a lot more going on here.

  Well, hey, I do really do appreciate your working on the

  committee, right? Because not everybody wants to

  do that and things like that. So it is a service.

  It's an extra thing. You don't get paid.

  I'm assuming you don't get paid extra for.

  That's all I thought so. So it's extra hours while you're

  still trying to be a family man, you're married, etc.

  Plus coach. So I do appreciate that he's
