- 3:10interview rounds with a baseball operations candidate.
- 3:14In response, the Red Sox stated they utilize
- 3:17a tool called HireVue, which allows candidates
- 3:20to record video responses, but emphasized this
- 3:23is just one part of the hiring process. Despite
- 3:27the controversy, the Red Sox have been performing
- 3:30well on the field, winning nine consecutive games
- 3:33and holding the third American League wild card
- 3:36spot. Now on to sports. The Buss family has tentatively

- 5:33involvement in what is now described as the largest
- 5:37jewelry heist in U .S. history. In July 2022,
- 5:42a Brinks big rig carrying jewelry valued at up
- 5:45to $100 million was burglarized at a truck stop
- 5:49in Grapevine, California. Federal prosecutors
- 5:52revealed the indictment, detailing a meticulous
- 5:56plan by the defendants. who are all Los Angeles
- 5:59-area residents. The heist has left 14 jewelers
- 6:03facing substantial financial losses. Authorities
- 6:07have recovered some stolen items, yet much of
- 6:10the jewelry remains missing as the investigation
- 6:13continues. In business news, the U .S. housing
- 6:19market is facing a significant shift, with nearly
- 6:22500 ,000 more sellers than buyers in April. marking
- 6:26the largest gap since 2013, according to real
- 6:30estate brokerage Redfin. Buyers are gaining the
- 6:34upper hand as sellers reduce prices and offer
- 6:37concessions like covering closing costs. Though
- 6:41inventory is finally rising, existing home sales
- 6:44fell for the second month in a row, hitting the
- 6:46slowest April pace since 2009. Many buyers are
- 6:51still priced out. while a mix of life changes
- 6:54among sellers is driving the increase in inventory,
- 6:57suggesting potential future price declines. In
- 7:01crypto movement, Bitcoin is unchanged at $105
- 7:07,000. Ethereum is down 1 % to just over $2 ,500.

- 8:14on its Xbox consoles, games, and controllers.
- 8:19As of today, the base model Xbox Series South
- 8:22with 512GB of storage now costs $380, up from
- 8:28$300. The Xbox Series X has seen a $100 increase,
- 8:34with the top -end 2TB model now priced at $730.
- 8:40Additionally, new first -party games will launch
- 8:43at $79 starting this holiday season. While these
- 8:47price hikes may seem extreme, Microsoft has been
- 8:50promoting its Xbox Game Pass subscription as
- 8:53a more affordable gaming option. And in entertainment
- 8:59news, the United States Supreme Court has officially
- 9:03rejected a lawsuit against Ed Sheeran regarding
- 9:07allegations that his hit song, Thinking Out Loud,
- 9:10infringed on Marvin Gaye's classic track, Let's
- 9:14Get It On. This decision concludes a lengthy
- 9:17legal battle initiated by a company that holds
- 9:20a partial stake in Gay's song. The Supreme Court's
- 9:24refusal to hear the case allows an earlier ruling
- 9:27to remain in place, which stated that both songs
- 9:30share only basic musical building blocks. Although
- 9:35this lawsuit is over, Sheeran faces another case
- 9:38concerning the recorded version of Gay's song,
- 9:41which is still pending. Well, alrighty, folks.
- 9:45It's time for the quote of the day. And today,
- 9:49our quote comes from the American poet and author,
