- 1:00Speaker 3: dot Com. Jake Flynn elandro Tate here with you now,
- 1:03Speaker 3: joined our guide, doctor Stephen Ethridge, as we are every
- 1:06Speaker 3: single Wednesday. What's going on, Doc? How we doing doing? Fantastic?
- 1:10Speaker 5: Uh?
- 1:10Speaker 3: Moon talk? Don't know? How are you into the mission
- 1:16Speaker 3: to launch a shuttle to orbit the Moon to collect
- 1:21Speaker 3: data to see if we need to maybe land on
- 1:24Speaker 3: said moon?
- 1:25Speaker 6: I think it's awesome. Yeah, let's go, I mean why not?
- 1:30Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:31Speaker 2: Where Let's see where you stand on this? Uh? Has
- 1:34Speaker 2: have we ever landed on the Moon before?
- 1:36Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:36Speaker 7: I've for the longest time was hardcore. Absolutely, I will
- 1:41Speaker 7: say I've, I've I've have some questions.
- 1:43Speaker 8: Now, there's a lot of questions that need to be
- 1:45Speaker 8: and I don't know if they ever will be.
- 1:48Speaker 6: But there's there's some there's some stuff there a.
- 1:52Speaker 8: Little fishy that we still got to study, get a
- 1:54Speaker 8: mission out there to figure out how.
- 1:56Speaker 6: If we can get there.
- 1:57Speaker 8: It's kind of like five decades later, pretty sure you can.
- 2:00Speaker 8: They did it with a pocket calculator and a tube
- 2:03Speaker 8: of metal and some gas and some gas.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, you just kind of wonder.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I got a question for you, Doug. Baseball season.
- 2:19Speaker 8: Since we've since we've talked last you know, it's been
- 2:21Speaker 8: opening day, opening weekend from Major League Baseball, of course,
- 2:24Speaker 8: so a shoot baseball is like right in the thick
- 2:26Speaker 8: of things. I've kind of been on this campaign against
- 2:30Speaker 8: the sliding glove for quite some time now, the sliding mint,
- 2:34Speaker 8: the sliding mit. I think it's really dumb. It looks terrible,
- 2:37Speaker 8: it looks soft, a lot of beta energy coming from it.
- 2:40Speaker 8: We're hand injuries from running and sliding into bases that
- 2:46Speaker 8: prevalent that they had to create a really dumb looking
- 2:49Speaker 8: oven mit to put on their hand.
- 2:52Speaker 7: You know, the first time I saw one of those,
- 2:54Speaker 7: I also had very similar feelings. The aesthetics are not
- 2:58Speaker 7: very pleasing, but you know, I guess no, they're not
- 3:02Speaker 7: that prevalent in my experience with baseball.
- 3:04Speaker 6: But I suppose too, that the one time it does happen.
- 3:06Speaker 7: You know, if you have an Alex Bregman who slides
- 3:08Speaker 7: in and dislocates a finger or something, then you're gonna say, well, gosh,
- 3:12Speaker 7: why didn't you have that sliding it on? So, I mean,
- 3:13Speaker 7: I guess, but I'm also I have a hard time
- 3:16Speaker 7: just looking at them. You know, it's it's it's I
- 3:18Speaker 7: I can understand why you'd want your guy wearing it.
- 3:21Speaker 7: I get you don't want to lose somebody to a
- 3:23Speaker 7: flukey injury sliding in. For man, it's a.
- 3:26Speaker 8: I think that I don't think I've ever heard of one.
- 3:29Speaker 8: An injury to a finger. Leke like you can hurt
- 3:31Speaker 8: your finger doing anything. I think it just kind of
- 3:36Speaker 8: adds some link to the hand, right.
- 3:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean you can. That's that's there's there's that too.
- 3:40Speaker 3: That's what we're doing. M I will say, it's not
- 3:45Speaker 3: that swaggy. No kids think it's I think it's kind
- 3:48Speaker 3: of well. I saw I used to see a lot
- 3:51Speaker 3: more two years ago in youth baseball. It's going away
- 3:54Speaker 3: more and more. I think coaches like, we ain't doing that,
- 3:56Speaker 3: yeah or not, it's really dumb, I will say, so
- 4:00Speaker 3: my senior year in high school. So I was the
- 4:02Speaker 3: guy that played you know, three sports all the way
- 4:07Speaker 3: through until I was so I'm getting to my senior
- 4:09Speaker 3: year and I remember coach Daban calling me and it's
- 4:12Speaker 3: got what's your spring plans? I was like, well play
- 4:14Speaker 3: baseball in soccer. He's like, wow, they got He's like,
- 4:18Speaker 3: we had a guy that he's going back in. He's
- 4:21Speaker 3: second base, he's got a lead. They tried to pick
- 4:23Speaker 3: him off. He dies back into the bag and he
- 4:26Speaker 3: breaks his hand. He had the gray shirt the guy.
- 4:28Speaker 3: The guy didn't even get on the field I because
- 4:30Speaker 3: he broke his hand playing baseball senior year. I was like,
- 4:34Speaker 3: so no, so you go, coach, have you seen these hands?
- 4:38Speaker 3: So he basically was like, you can play soccer, yeah,
- 4:42Speaker 3: but you're not playing baseball. It might have been your
- 4:46Speaker 3: like is an oven mat gonna like prevented, you know,
- 4:49Speaker 3: but like it might have been your signing clas. I
- 4:50Speaker 3: don't know if it was like the year before or
- 4:52Speaker 3: if it was two years before, but he was very
- 4:54Speaker 3: adamant of a guy that broke his hand diving back
- 4:58Speaker 3: into second base because he's getting picked off. I had
- 5:00Speaker 3: a great shirt.
- 5:00Speaker 9: The guy.
- 5:01Speaker 3: The guy never got in the field. Blah blah blah.
- 5:02Speaker 7: That feels like a lot of recency bias. I mean,
- 5:04Speaker 7: I feel like you've almost the other way around, Like
- 5:05Speaker 7: I don't want you to tell your a cl playing soccer.
- 5:07Speaker 7: For me, that's a bigger risk, you know, and an
- 5:10Speaker 7: injury that could put you out for longer. But yeah,
- 5:12Speaker 7: so clearly I think you had a little rescncy buyas
- 5:13Speaker 7: because it again we do see it clearly, but it's
- 5:15Speaker 7: not I would say the prevalence has been that high.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the moral of the story is just
- 5:19Speaker 2: get rid.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Of the o ements, the slight ements.
- 5:22Speaker 8: That's That's where I'm taking away from this. They're dumb
- 5:25Speaker 8: and if you want you, I don't know that.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Like, I think that's the most passionate thing that you
- 5:30Speaker 3: have is your hate for even Mits Elandra. Would you
- 5:32Speaker 3: would you agree with that? I mean, he's not very
- 5:35Speaker 3: passionate about a lot of things.
- 5:36Speaker 5: I would agree that he hates oven Mits.
- 5:39Speaker 10: But I also agree with the take on the oven Mits.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not even disagreeing with to take either. But
- 5:44Speaker 3: this man hates I was like, I want to almost
- 5:47Speaker 3: like do some research. Did the creator of the oven
- 5:49Speaker 3: Mit also have a hydration company that's a competitor with
- 5:52Speaker 3: my high He.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Cut me when I was with when I was with
- 5:57Speaker 2: the Packers, probably just.
- 6:00Speaker 10: Get like everybody else did.
- 6:02Speaker 8: I mean, like, look, it's not that big of a
- 6:05Speaker 8: like jam fingers are a way of life.
- 6:07Speaker 3: As a child. Okay, so the mits are one thing,
- 6:10Speaker 3: and I agree with you, like I would just like
- 6:13Speaker 3: hold onto your bat and gloves, put it, put your bag,
- 6:14Speaker 3: glows in your back pockets cooler. Anyway, Yeah, it's nothing
- 6:17Speaker 3: that makes the thing from baseball, and I know it
- 6:19Speaker 3: has a purpose. One of the best hitters ever, Barry Bonds,
- 6:22Speaker 3: wore the big elbow guard. I the thing I have
- 6:25Speaker 3: a problem with is like after you bat, it's like
- 6:27Speaker 3: you're taking off the elbow guard, you're taking off the
- 6:29Speaker 3: leg guard, You're putting the oven in the back. Like
- 6:31Speaker 3: it's a process. It's a whole process.
- 6:33Speaker 6: There's a lot of and there's a lot of flair.
- 6:36Speaker 6: It transitions down.
- 6:36Speaker 7: I was the first base coach of my my son's
- 6:38Speaker 7: youth team, and a couple of the guys I'd have
- 6:40Speaker 7: to sit there and like, okay, give me that, give
- 6:41Speaker 7: me this. They're like they're stripping down and takes them.
- 6:43Speaker 7: You know, it's like, good lord, they're all about pace
- 6:45Speaker 7: of play. They put a they put the clock.
- 6:47Speaker 8: On the picture, but it takes three minutes every every
- 6:50Speaker 8: time someone gets a single to take all the stuff off.
- 6:53Speaker 7: I think you should like require them to wear it
- 6:54Speaker 7: around the bases. If they're gonna wear it the bag,
- 6:56Speaker 7: you know.
- 6:56Speaker 2: If you can't put it in your back pocket, don't
- 6:58Speaker 2: put it off.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 7:01Speaker 2: I mean that's pretty good rule of thumb. I feel
- 7:03Speaker 2: like that was pretty good.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Even pitching. I get on Memphis sometimes like he'll he'll
- 7:08Speaker 3: be at second base, so come to the mound. It's
- 7:10Speaker 3: like he's gonna take the armsleeve off. He's gotta take
- 7:12Speaker 3: this all. You gotta take that. It's like, dude's just
- 7:15Speaker 3: let's go. It's a process, all right.
- 7:17Speaker 8: Doc, you brought up something that kind of uh piqued
- 7:20Speaker 8: my interest here. You talked about i'd be more worried
- 7:22Speaker 8: about like ACL or a knee injury in soccer. So
- 7:26Speaker 8: it was so I remember hearing a stat at one
- 7:29Speaker 8: point that soccer players have a much lower rate of
- 7:34Speaker 8: ACL injuries or knee injuries. And there was one I
- 7:38Speaker 8: can't remember. There was a doctor making the argument about
- 7:41Speaker 8: because soccer players don't tape their ankles and football players
- 7:46Speaker 8: traditionally do ankle taping or braces on the ankles. And
- 7:52Speaker 8: I remember the when I was in high school, my
- 7:55Speaker 8: coaches got on this thing where they wanted me to
- 7:57Speaker 8: wear a knee brace in practice because they didn't want
- 7:59Speaker 8: to take a chance of me having a fluke injury
- 8:02Speaker 8: in practice. And it was one of these knee braces
- 8:03Speaker 8: that had like the tight sleeve on it, and I
- 8:06Speaker 8: have to wear it in practice, and I hated it,
- 8:08Speaker 8: but I wouldn't wear it in the game. And by
- 8:10Speaker 8: the time the game time came, I felt like my
- 8:12Speaker 8: knees were like weaker because I had this tight knee
- 8:16Speaker 8: brace on. H Have you ever looked at the correlation
- 8:19Speaker 8: between like what I just probably about the soccer soccer
- 8:22Speaker 8: knee injury rates compared to football, And do you think
- 8:25Speaker 8: anything there's a correlation to like having braces tape supportive
- 8:29Speaker 8: structures in a practice situation that might not that might
- 8:32Speaker 8: lead to less muscle development.
- 8:35Speaker 7: So so a lot a lot of directions we can
- 8:37Speaker 7: go bracing. You know, it's interesting the braces don't seem
- 8:41Speaker 7: to work that well.
- 8:43Speaker 3: For preventing injury.
- 8:44Speaker 7: For one, I think we all like to wear and
- 8:45Speaker 7: there are some you know, small exceptions there. But for example,
- 8:49Speaker 7: most of the times we looked at knee braces, you know,
- 8:51Speaker 7: it's always the old lime.
- 8:52Speaker 6: They're gonna wear them as Yeah, they're there.
- 8:55Speaker 7: And I'm not saying we should wear the braces if
- 8:58Speaker 7: they make you feel safer, But the reality of it is,
- 9:00Speaker 7: the data doesn't really back up having the guys wear
- 9:02Speaker 7: them for preventing injury. It's not it's not that strong
- 9:05Speaker 7: of a correlation there. So, So one, was it beneficial
- 9:08Speaker 7: for your need to wear the brace and practice to
- 9:10Speaker 7: reduce your risk of injury?
- 9:11Speaker 3: Probably not.
- 9:13Speaker 7: Second, do you get weaker if you wear a brace?
- 9:15Speaker 7: That's always why I'm not a big brace or sling guy.
- 9:18Speaker 7: When it's not necessary, I try to get people out
- 9:20Speaker 7: of them as quick as possible. Uh, because yeah, you
- 9:22Speaker 7: do get weaker. You know, you know that there's there's
- 9:24Speaker 7: a term, you know, I think something will be a crutch.
- 9:26Speaker 7: It's kind of the same entiality.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Something can be a brace.
- 9:28Speaker 7: And if you have depended on it, now, if you're
- 9:30Speaker 7: unstable or if you have an injury, sure there's there
- 9:32Speaker 7: is a benefit. Then so I think you got to
- 9:34Speaker 7: kind of weigh all that with soccer versus football. You know,
- 9:39Speaker 7: I don't know the exact number, so I don't want to,
- 9:42Speaker 7: you know, lie about it. You know, it does seem
- 9:43Speaker 7: we get a little bit more from football, but we
- 9:45Speaker 7: do see a fair bount in soccer too with with
- 9:48Speaker 7: with you know, big ligament injuries. You know, maybe maybe
- 9:50Speaker 7: it has something to do with the ankle bracing. Maybe
- 9:52Speaker 7: it's the surface they're playing on. Maybe the cleats are
- 9:53Speaker 7: a little bit different. You know, the soccer cleat's a
- 9:55Speaker 7: little bit smaller, so they don't stick as much. So,
- 9:57Speaker 7: you know, there's probably a lot of all the above.
- 9:59Speaker 8: I think the argument was, like the ankle tape in
- 10:01Speaker 8: has it prevents the muscle developing in the ankle and
- 10:04Speaker 8: the flexibility in the ankle to kind of roll over.
- 10:07Speaker 8: If your knee gets in a bad situation, your ankle
- 10:09Speaker 8: can make up for it by rolling over to be
- 10:11Speaker 8: more flexible, have it some more muscles.
- 10:13Speaker 3: That's There's teams have kind of gone away completely from
- 10:16Speaker 3: taping or at least requiring you to tape one. Yeah,
- 10:19Speaker 3: and if you used to, it is the first thing
- 10:20Speaker 3: you had to do.
- 10:20Speaker 7: Yeah, everybody line up is just yeah, it's uh, look
- 10:23Speaker 7: at if you look at ski injuries, you know, you
- 10:24Speaker 7: don't see a lot of ankle injuryes. We see a
- 10:26Speaker 7: lot of knee injuries and skiers, and it's the same mentality.
- 10:28Speaker 7: Your your ankle is completely immobilized, so yeah, you aren't
- 10:30Speaker 7: going to roll your ankles easily. But it's it's just
- 10:34Speaker 7: anytime that you immobilize something, you're going to offload that
- 10:37Speaker 7: to the next level.
- 10:37Speaker 3: So I hated getting my ankles, I mean because they
- 10:41Speaker 3: had to use two rolls of tape on one ankle
- 10:44Speaker 3: for you, but I did. It is funny to think
- 10:48Speaker 3: about it like it was just it was mandatory. So
- 10:51Speaker 3: you go in every game we ever played in college
- 10:53Speaker 3: in the NFL, we probably had either a brace or
- 10:56Speaker 3: you had your ankles tape. I'm sitting and thinking, like,
- 10:59Speaker 3: I've never had an ankle like.
- 11:00Speaker 8: I would definitely. I would definitely fake it a lot
- 11:02Speaker 8: because I didn't want my ankles taped, so I would
- 11:05Speaker 8: just put ank tape on the top of my ankle
- 11:07Speaker 8: and put my sock on.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Oh, you had the fattest ankle braces our senior year.
- 11:16Speaker 2: What are you talking about? These are strong ankles.
- 11:18Speaker 8: No the braces you had those big No, it wasn't
- 11:21Speaker 8: I didn't wear our senior year after you got hurt.
- 11:23Speaker 8: I thought you wore I had to get spatted up.
- 11:25Speaker 8: I actually wore the cloth ankle brace.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Yeah. I didn't want to get taped. I hated getting
- 11:30Speaker 3: my ankles taped.
- 11:31Speaker 8: I didn't want to get taped, so I would get
- 11:33Speaker 8: I did the cloth one for the first couple of years,
- 11:35Speaker 8: and it was so gross.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Oh, we'll find We'll find some evidence of those, because
- 11:40Speaker 3: that's the picture. I'm playing in the peach bowl with
- 11:42Speaker 3: an in my mind. Like when I think of you
- 11:44Speaker 3: and the UNI, I think of those seeing those big Yeah.
- 11:48Speaker 8: I had to wear offensive line and shoes because of that,
- 11:51Speaker 8: a big ass uh high ankle high ankle spraying plastic
- 11:56Speaker 8: mold brace that they that was fresh technology at the Yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 8: they took a mold on my foot and they made
- 12:02Speaker 8: this brace for me. I don't know if it worked, Doc,
- 12:05Speaker 8: but I had to like wear offensive line shoes.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 8: Well he got he had this quarterback there and probably
- 12:10Speaker 8: four three four four then you know his ankle.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Right, sure, bud uh. We got a user in the chat.
- 12:16Speaker 3: It says, hey, I want you to think doc for me.
- 12:18Speaker 3: He's been amazing with my son dealing with his uc
- 12:21Speaker 3: L injury. Yeah you go, doc, all right, Dot, I
- 12:23Speaker 3: appreciate that you nice job.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Nice my pleasure changing lives real quick for.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Let you go spring practice. You had a chance to
- 12:31Speaker 3: go out there yet see uh see everybody on the grass.
- 12:34Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, I was out there on Saturday. I'll be
- 12:37Speaker 7: out there this weekend as well. And you know, so far,
- 12:40Speaker 7: it's been exciting to watch, you know, it's the practice
- 12:42Speaker 7: is definitely different. You know, a lot more up. Timply,
- 12:44Speaker 7: got a lot more going on. You know, you got
- 12:45Speaker 7: it's it's it is, it's it's it's.
- 12:47Speaker 6: Fun to see. I think the energy level.
- 12:50Speaker 7: You know, pretty much from January on has been a different,
- 12:53Speaker 7: different thing for sure. And I think that somebody all
- 12:54Speaker 7: talked about the vibe, the energy, whatever you want to say,
- 12:56Speaker 7: it's it's. Look, we'll see how it translates right fall.
- 12:59Speaker 7: But I will say, you know, I've said a lot
- 13:00Speaker 7: of people were winning the off season. I mean, it's
- 13:02Speaker 7: one hundred.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Just I'll never forget last summer when Matt and I
- 13:06Speaker 3: went to practice and how short it was, how low
- 13:09Speaker 3: intense it was, and this is training camp and training camp.
- 13:12Speaker 3: How funny it was that defensive coaches immediately walked over
- 13:16Speaker 3: to us to explain themselves. Yeah, because they didn't like
- 13:20Speaker 3: it either, but they were like, hey, I know what
- 13:22Speaker 3: you're about to say.
- 13:23Speaker 7: I brought brought my son out there for one of
- 13:27Speaker 7: the early practices with and he was like even he
- 13:29Speaker 7: remember leaving the field and he's like, they're already done.
- 13:31Speaker 2: That's it.
- 13:32Speaker 6: That's he was not.
- 13:33Speaker 3: He was not impressed the same way.
- 13:34Speaker 7: So, I mean, and this would have been what three
- 13:36Speaker 7: or four years ago, so he was thirteen ish, give
- 13:38Speaker 7: or take a couple of years, and at that point
- 13:39Speaker 7: he was like, that was that was not that impressive that.
- 13:42Speaker 8: I did see something come out of spring. I think
- 13:44Speaker 8: Lane said that one day there was like six fights
- 13:46Speaker 8: and one price.
- 13:47Speaker 3: There wasn't a So.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Have you ever seen like fights are necessities for football?
- 13:52Speaker 8: Absolutely, and for the most part, I don't think I
- 13:56Speaker 8: ever had anybody get injured. Now, a lot of people
- 13:58Speaker 8: punch helmets, but that's kind of the thing. You gotta
- 14:01Speaker 8: punch your helmet every day. Yeah, ever seen anybody's hand
- 14:03Speaker 8: get hurt the helmet punch?
- 14:05Speaker 6: I don't remember one. I'm sure that you know. Yeah,
- 14:07Speaker 6: I don't remember when.
- 14:07Speaker 7: I'm sure we had it, you know, and I may
- 14:09Speaker 7: just be you know, blocking that one out, but I
- 14:10Speaker 7: don't remember it. To tell anybody about hurt, Yeah, the
- 14:14Speaker 7: guy that got hurt in the weight room or something.
- 14:16Speaker 6: But it's it's you know it. I agree.
- 14:19Speaker 7: You know, you got to get that energy spring ball
- 14:20Speaker 7: and camp. You got to have a few fights, got
- 14:23Speaker 7: to get in the season. Is it necessary, Probably not,
- 14:25Speaker 7: but you may still get a couple of dust ups,
- 14:26Speaker 7: but you gotta get it out some point.
- 14:27Speaker 8: Look, baseball players like if football players can punch each
- 14:30Speaker 8: other in the helmet with their bare fists, you can
- 14:33Speaker 8: lightly slag it slide into a bag without another event on.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Full circle, break it all back there we go.

- 15:00Speaker 8: There's I think there's eight teams competing tomorrow through other

- 15:22Speaker 8: Okay, I think tonight is Air Force Nebraska and then
- 15:26Speaker 8: Shoes and then the l's hues Bright it's LSU number fifteen,
- 15:29Speaker 8: Clemson Auburn, and then the winner between air Force and
- 15:31Speaker 8: the Brass and then tomorrow afternoon is number seven Stanford,
- 15:35Speaker 8: number ten, Michigan, U n C.

- 18:22Speaker 3: All right, so what's today? Wednesday? Today? But on Monday
- 18:27Speaker 3: I caught up with Saints head coach Kellen Moore. Had
- 18:30Speaker 3: a good conversation with him, and I thought, since you know,
- 18:33Speaker 3: I was the one doing the interview me and I
- 18:35Speaker 3: got Pat Kerwin over on Moving the Chains series six
- 18:38Speaker 3: M NFL Radio. I was like, hey, guys, can you
- 18:40Speaker 3: send me that because I think our listeners need to
- 18:42Speaker 3: hear from the Saints head coach Kellen Moore. So we've
- 18:45Speaker 3: got that for you. Now. Here is Keller Moore at
- 18:47Speaker 3: the NFL owner meetings on Monday. We are going to
- 18:50Speaker 3: catch up now with the New Orleans Saints head coach
- 18:52Speaker 3: Kellen Moore, a coach, always a pleasure. I hope you're
- 18:54Speaker 3: doing well. Yeah, thanks for having guys. Absolutely. I mean
- 18:57Speaker 3: what a couple of weeks of free agency. I mean,
- 18:59Speaker 3: signed some big time players. I know, David Edwards was
- 19:02Speaker 3: a huge signing from Buffalo. The interior, that offensive line,
- 19:05Speaker 3: Travis h n As we found out. Look, I'm from Louisiana,
- 19:08Speaker 3: so I always thought eight team was a little weird,
- 19:10Speaker 3: but I just kind of went with it. But a
- 19:11Speaker 3: couple of big signings there, noahfen to you know, just
- 19:14Speaker 3: keep on going with the signing so so far, probably
- 19:16Speaker 3: a lot of fun to get some new offensive weapons
- 19:18Speaker 3: in there.
- 19:19Speaker 13: Yeah, it's been great. It's been a great process. For us,
- 19:21Speaker 13: off seasons are always a mixed emotion. You're gonna lose
- 19:23Speaker 13: some guys, You're gonna you know, be able to sign
- 19:25Speaker 13: some guys. But we feel like we're building this thing
- 19:27Speaker 13: the right way and heading in the right direction.
- 19:29Speaker 14: What'd you learn about this team after one year? You know,
- 19:33Speaker 14: you go in with some presumptions. Yeah, then the year
- 19:36Speaker 14: clears up those things. What'd you find out about these guys?
- 19:39Speaker 15: We had the right kind of guys in the locker room.
- 19:41Speaker 13: They were resilient, They stuck together, played our best football
- 19:44Speaker 13: towards the end. We don't win enough games early, but
- 19:46Speaker 13: our guys stuck together, and you know, you gotta appreciate that.
- 19:48Speaker 15: Yep.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Yeah, they really did. And just from Afar like the
- 19:52Speaker 3: quarterback situation and look Sventer's not playing bad yep at
- 19:55Speaker 3: the time, but you know you got to make a
- 19:57Speaker 3: move and then you throw Tyler in there. Tyler plays
- 19:59Speaker 3: really well in the quarterback room. We were talking beforehand,
- 20:01Speaker 3: really really healthy right now. But the thing that was
- 20:04Speaker 3: impressive to me for Tyler being a young player was
- 20:07Speaker 3: how he elevated those around him. I mean, you and
- 20:10Speaker 3: I we play, We've been around the league. That doesn't
- 20:12Speaker 3: happen very often that a young player can do that.
- 20:14Speaker 3: But that's a skill set that I wasn't sure that
- 20:17Speaker 3: anybody knew just how good Tyler could be elevating those
- 20:20Speaker 3: around him.
- 20:21Speaker 13: Yeah, no doubt. We got a really good QB room.
- 20:23Speaker 13: You know, Tyler obviously finished the season off phenomenal. I
- 20:27Speaker 13: think the world is Spence. I thought Spence played some
- 20:28Speaker 13: really good football. We didn't win games because we didn't
- 20:32Speaker 13: play well collectively. He played some really good football and
- 20:35Speaker 13: so and then we signed Zach Wilson. So we feel
- 20:37Speaker 13: like we got a really good young room and I'm
- 20:40Speaker 13: excited to see those guys continue to develop.
- 20:42Speaker 14: How do you because I've been asking guys that have
- 20:45Speaker 14: four quarterbacks in a row, like, how do you split
- 20:47Speaker 14: up the summer reps? I mean, our listeners are trying
- 20:50Speaker 14: to figure out how this works. And that's the coach
- 20:52Speaker 14: when he gets in here.
- 20:54Speaker 2: It's not my job anymore.
- 20:56Speaker 15: I know one thing.
- 20:56Speaker 14: We tried to have a competition, not that yours is,
- 20:58Speaker 14: but it doesn't work. Now, get you get nervous a
- 21:02Speaker 14: week after camp starts going.
- 21:04Speaker 15: We got to get ready for the season.
- 21:05Speaker 13: Last year is testing our patients, you know, I saw
- 21:09Speaker 13: that's right. You're like, oh man, how long? How long
- 21:12Speaker 13: are we going to go with this thing? But uh yeah,
- 21:15Speaker 13: obviously there's a tear system. Iler Tyler's number one job
- 21:17Speaker 13: is to get ready as to starting quarterback and for
- 21:19Speaker 13: the other guys to continue to develop as players. And
- 21:21Speaker 13: so I think the thing we're always trying to maximize
- 21:24Speaker 13: is whether it's joint practice or preseason games, how many
- 21:26Speaker 13: times can we give these guys game like situations and
- 21:29Speaker 13: give them those reps that they.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Need catch up. When you were on Saint Hey, coach
- 21:32Speaker 3: Killer Moore here on moving the Chains, so you mentioned,
- 21:35Speaker 3: you know, losing some guys and you lose to Mario
- 21:37Speaker 3: Davis and we all know what that means and the
- 21:38Speaker 3: leadership and everything. But you can ask Pat he can
- 21:41Speaker 3: back me up on this. I said, I hope they
- 21:42Speaker 3: sprint to sign Kaden Ellis Like that was the guy,
- 21:45Speaker 3: Like I said it that day on the show. You
- 21:47Speaker 3: make a move, I mean Cayden Like as a guy
- 21:49Speaker 3: that played running back, he gives you a lot of
- 21:51Speaker 3: problems because he can do so many things. He's a
- 21:54Speaker 3: great rusher as well. So I know you lose there,
- 21:56Speaker 3: but you add a guy in Kate ellis that those
- 21:58Speaker 3: new ones been there before. Yeah, I know you're excited
- 22:00Speaker 3: to see him out there on the grass.
- 22:01Speaker 13: I am super fired up about Kayden. We first got
- 22:04Speaker 13: him out of the red, we got him in the
- 22:05Speaker 13: right colors again. He went and did a little I
- 22:08Speaker 13: don't know what it is.
- 22:09Speaker 3: He was just gathering information, you know, from down the
- 22:11Speaker 3: red scouting.
- 22:12Speaker 13: Exactly and really going against him. I mean, you know,
- 22:16Speaker 13: you're like, man, this guy creates so many problems. His
- 22:18Speaker 13: ability to play linebacker off the ball, he's super smart.
- 22:21Speaker 13: But then his ability to pressure, you know, he puts
- 22:23Speaker 13: you in a ton of conflicts. Running backs are like, really,
- 22:25Speaker 13: I gotta go block this guy. I mean you know,
- 22:27Speaker 13: so then all of a sudden, you're changing your whole
- 22:29Speaker 13: protection plan based off of this one individual, and which.
- 22:32Speaker 3: As a goal like me, yeah, you tried to get
- 22:34Speaker 3: a guy that I always say this on Monday mornings.
- 22:37Speaker 3: We start with Okay, here's the guy, here's who we
- 22:39Speaker 3: got to worry about. How we're going to treat this guy?
- 22:41Speaker 15: Yep, no doubt.
- 22:41Speaker 13: And that's been Kayden for you know, three years, two
- 22:44Speaker 13: years now, you know, being into land and so you know,
- 22:47Speaker 13: we're really excited about having him back. He's got a
- 22:49Speaker 13: ton of familiarity with the community, with the organization. So
- 22:52Speaker 13: the transition I think is going to be great.
- 22:54Speaker 14: Tell me about the what you do from here, Like
- 22:57Speaker 14: they're listening and they always they have their own eye.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Is what you guys do.
- 23:01Speaker 2: My next neighbor when I was working.
- 23:02Speaker 14: With Dougie was like the first day after the end
- 23:05Speaker 14: of the season, he said, you must be off now
- 23:07Speaker 14: till August. I looked at him, go, you're never gonna
- 23:10Speaker 14: see me again. What are you talking about? So what's
- 23:13Speaker 14: your schedule leaving this meeting.
- 23:15Speaker 13: Yeah, we're transitioning really heavy into the draft here for
- 23:18Speaker 13: the next few weeks. You know, that's a big part
- 23:20Speaker 13: of this process, and so we did a lot of
- 23:23Speaker 13: pro days and private workouts this past week. We'll transition
- 23:25Speaker 13: into that, spend a ton of time on that, put
- 23:28Speaker 13: ourselves in position for the draft and then really free agencies,
- 23:31Speaker 13: this big, you know, notarized thing in March. Well, it's
- 23:34Speaker 13: a year round process and so the pro side, you know,
- 23:36Speaker 13: there's gonna be prior transactions in our league before the draft.
- 23:39Speaker 13: They'll be transactions right after the draft, they'll be in June,
- 23:42Speaker 13: they'll be before training camp. Look at our team. We
- 23:44Speaker 13: made a couple of trades at the end of training camp.
- 23:47Speaker 13: It's a constant, year round process of building our roster
- 23:50Speaker 13: and getting as good as we can be.
- 23:52Speaker 15: Yep.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Yeah, Saints have always been really good about sending people
- 23:55Speaker 3: to a lot of different pro days and a lot
- 23:56Speaker 3: of people to certain pro days, and so draft board
- 23:59Speaker 3: come on together. And Pat always educates me on this,
- 24:02Speaker 3: like when you feel like you've got a really good
- 24:04Speaker 3: idea of where you're at right now, so where are
- 24:06Speaker 3: we at in that process of putting the draft board together.
- 24:10Speaker 13: I've been fortunate I've gone through with Jeff and Mickey
- 24:11Speaker 13: kind of one time before before we went to the Combine,
- 24:15Speaker 13: just I had a little bit of an idea of
- 24:16Speaker 13: those guys, went through some early early meetings.
- 24:19Speaker 15: But uh, you know, this is really the thick of it.
- 24:21Speaker 13: You know, we just got off of this this pro
- 24:22Speaker 13: day circuit, these these private workouts, and then this is
- 24:26Speaker 13: where we really dig into these guys, you know, and
- 24:28Speaker 13: get everyone's observations, everyone's notes, and then obviously you got
- 24:32Speaker 13: to set the board. You got to set the board,
- 24:33Speaker 13: put your plan together, and uh, that's that's part of
- 24:36Speaker 13: the process.
- 24:37Speaker 14: Last one. For me, it's a human nature subject. So
- 24:42Speaker 14: you can't help yourself. I'll just use myself an example.
- 24:45Speaker 14: I could not help myself. Every time someone in our
- 24:48Speaker 14: division signed someone, I thought about what.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Does that mean to us?
- 24:52Speaker 15: So how do you How do you not.
- 24:55Speaker 14: Find yourself looking at the guys in your division what
- 24:57Speaker 14: they're doing during free agency?
- 24:59Speaker 15: Or do you?
- 25:00Speaker 16: Oh?
- 25:00Speaker 15: I think you definitely do.
- 25:01Speaker 13: We're gonna play six division games, and so that's gonna
- 25:05Speaker 13: be you know, the first way to get to the
- 25:07Speaker 13: playoffs is obviously the win your division.
- 25:08Speaker 15: That's the most important formula for you.
- 25:10Speaker 13: And so when you see what Carolina, Atlanta and Tampa does,
- 25:14Speaker 13: you know, obviously we got to have a plan in place.
- 25:15Speaker 13: We're gonna play those guys at least two times in
- 25:17Speaker 13: the regular season. You know, we've seen the battles that
- 25:20Speaker 13: those are and so it's gonna be a lot of fun.
- 25:23Speaker 3: I bet my goal is to get killing to sign
- 25:25Speaker 3: a fullback here in the next couple of years. I
- 25:28Speaker 3: feel like every time I'm talking with him, every time,
- 25:30Speaker 3: I'm just chipping away just a little bit. So you know, hey,
- 25:34Speaker 3: we got like seven running backs on the roster. If
- 25:36Speaker 3: one you know, wants to put their hand in the dirt.
- 25:38Speaker 3: You know, maybe you should try it out.
- 25:39Speaker 15: Yeah, they might play a little bit of a full
- 25:40Speaker 15: back type role.
- 25:42Speaker 14: The first day he became my partner, I said, I
- 25:44Speaker 14: can only promise you one thing. I'm going to bring
- 25:46Speaker 14: back the fullback every chance I can, and don't the
- 25:50Speaker 14: league started signing fullbacks like that first week.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, we had all four of them on the show.
- 25:54Speaker 15: Perfect come on over.
- 25:55Speaker 3: You're hearing out a little bit of a shot there.
- 26:00Speaker 3: That's actually true. By the way, Kellen Moore, New Orleans
- 26:02Speaker 3: Saints head coach, he was great enjoyed conversation on the air.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Off the air, I really like where they're at. I
- 26:07Speaker 3: think he likes where they're at as well. You know
- 26:09Speaker 3: what I'm saying, You could tell like where a coach
- 26:11Speaker 3: kind of like when you talk to him off the air,
- 26:14Speaker 3: right and you kind of get it's kind of hard language.
- 26:16Speaker 8: He's kind of hard to get past that that coach
- 26:19Speaker 8: speaks shell a little bit. Yeah, but I feel like
- 26:21Speaker 8: you OpEd like there's like every time I hear him
- 26:23Speaker 8: doing an interview, like there's little glimpses of like his
- 26:27Speaker 8: actual personality.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 26:29Speaker 8: Now, some coaches that are more tenured that shines through
- 26:32Speaker 8: like their entire whatever question they're asked, or just like
- 26:35Speaker 8: I am who I am?
- 26:36Speaker 3: You get it.
- 26:37Speaker 8: I think Kellen will get to that point. But he's
- 26:40Speaker 8: first time head coach. He's a little bit more buttoned
- 26:42Speaker 8: up on some of his answers. But you see you
- 26:44Speaker 8: get a glimpse of like actual Kelling.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Moore, Yeah, you do. And I enjoyed our conversation. You
- 26:49Speaker 3: know they're on air what you just heard. But also
- 26:51Speaker 3: like before we started the interview, we're talking about it's like, man,
- 26:55Speaker 3: our quarterback room right now, like where it's at and
- 26:57Speaker 3: how we feel about it and not having to worry
- 27:00Speaker 3: about like you know, last year we didn't know so
- 27:02Speaker 3: we had three guys getting reps. He's like like, we
- 27:04Speaker 3: know what Tyler is, we know what Spencer can give us.
- 27:06Speaker 3: We just signed Zach Wilson. He's like even that, like
- 27:09Speaker 3: starting off with the most important position pretty much you know,
- 27:13Speaker 3: figured out to this point. He's like, we feel like
- 27:16Speaker 3: we can hit the ground running compared to last year
- 27:19Speaker 3: where we were just trying, we were swimming in it.
- 27:21Speaker 3: We're in the deep end. We're trying to figure out
- 27:22Speaker 3: who can do what who's going to be able to
- 27:25Speaker 3: elevate everybody? He's like, and whenn't figure that out to
- 27:27Speaker 3: the end of it, But we got to figure it out.
- 27:28Speaker 3: He's like, by the end of we were playing pretty well. Yeah.
- 27:31Speaker 8: I mean when you the more answers you have going
- 27:34Speaker 8: into a season, the less questions you got to ask, Yeah,
- 27:37Speaker 8: and the other and there's more different type of questions
- 27:41Speaker 8: that you can spend your time on. So certainly that
- 27:43Speaker 8: quarterback room, they're in a very strong position.
- 27:46Speaker 17: Uh.
- 27:46Speaker 8: And I would have appreciated if you had asked them
- 27:48Speaker 8: if they would trade Rattler so I can get a
- 27:51Speaker 8: little bit quicker return of my card collection.
- 27:56Speaker 2: So not a fox old guy asked him to do that.
- 28:00Speaker 8: But I do think that there is some value there,
- 28:02Speaker 8: especially with the addition of Zach Wilson to the team,
- 28:06Speaker 8: so you know, we'll see it's I believe that there
- 28:10Speaker 8: would be a market for that. You got a guy
- 28:12Speaker 8: that's on a quarterback has a decent amount of starting experience.
- 28:15Speaker 8: His starting experience certainly didn't win like lead to the
- 28:19Speaker 8: w's on the win loss column, but certainly there is
- 28:21Speaker 8: very good NFL quarterback play there and he's on a
- 28:24Speaker 8: rookie contract. I think there is some value there to
- 28:26Speaker 8: be had with teams that have either established starters that
- 28:32Speaker 8: he could go and back up for, or teams that
- 28:37Speaker 8: are bringing in a guy that you don't necessarily know
- 28:40Speaker 8: if it's going to work out all uh Minnesota, Like
- 28:43Speaker 8: you don't know. I mean you could. You could make
- 28:45Speaker 8: an argument that Spencer's played better recent football than Kyler Murray.
- 28:53Speaker 8: You can make that argument, like not over a career.
- 28:55Speaker 8: Kyler has had nomits where he's stuck out and there's
- 28:58Speaker 8: no arguing the talent there, but like you just never
- 29:01Speaker 8: know how that's going to transition. So I think there's
- 29:03Speaker 8: some value there to be had as much as we
- 29:05Speaker 8: like rat learning things that he's done. Like I think
- 29:08Speaker 8: for the Saints there is value to be had for
- 29:11Speaker 8: them to make their team better. Position that you don't
- 29:13Speaker 8: necessarily need right now.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Yep, I'm right there with you, And I think when
- 29:17Speaker 3: you sign a Zach Wilson gives you the freedom, the
- 29:20Speaker 3: ability to explore those options, to see what you can get,
- 29:24Speaker 3: see if you can gain maybe another draft choice there,
- 29:26Speaker 3: and they hold they hold a very important one. I
- 29:29Speaker 3: think the Commanders at seven and the Saints at eight
- 29:31Speaker 3: hold a lot of power in this draft because of
- 29:33Speaker 3: how the draft I think is going to stack up,
- 29:35Speaker 3: and what the team needs are right directly at nine, ten, eleven,
- 29:39Speaker 3: and twelve behind those teams, and how aggressive teams are
- 29:42Speaker 3: going to be to try to move up, and if
- 29:44Speaker 3: Mickey is willing to listen to trade offers, All right,
- 29:47Speaker 3: we will take a break. We got more OTB coming

- 33:31Speaker 3: It's never if we just keep on, we could just
- 33:36Speaker 3: steal them. It does, doesn't I told you when I
- 33:40Speaker 3: when I got to the owner's meetings and they gave
- 33:42Speaker 3: us this packet and it was like blah blah blah
- 33:43Speaker 3: bye laws. I'm like, oh hell. Anytime I see that word,
- 33:47Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my god.
- 33:48Speaker 5: I would screenshot it and put it in GBT and
- 33:51Speaker 5: be like, what can't I do?
- 33:52Speaker 8: That's what I would the first Bible, I'll say, you
- 33:54Speaker 8: can't say anything bad about Roger Goodelle.
- 34:01Speaker 3: You know, I do have to remind myself, maybe have
- 34:04Speaker 3: the platform I'm on now, because like we were talking
- 34:08Speaker 3: about the NFL p A and I just kind of
- 34:10Speaker 3: like I went unhinged a little bit, and I'm sitting
- 34:12Speaker 3: there like maybe I should have reeled that back in
- 34:16Speaker 3: a little bit. It's like I'm on the network with
- 34:20Speaker 3: the shield now. But I was like, what I mean?
- 34:25Speaker 3: But I did say I said, Okay, I said, I
- 34:27Speaker 3: know that was a lot I said, but nothing I
- 34:29Speaker 3: said wasn't true.
- 34:33Speaker 2: You know, like Daniel bashing be funny, man, I'm not
- 34:35Speaker 2: gonna read it, but you're funny. I gotta check it out.
- 34:40Speaker 10: But yeah, let's give up.
- 34:42Speaker 2: I guess we won't steal him. We'll give them.
- 34:44Speaker 10: Yeah, should we do at the top of the nine o'clock.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Hour, Yeah, we're gonna do kind of the same deal.
- 34:47Speaker 10: Let's do the same thing.
- 34:49Speaker 5: Was fun, So we gotta think it's more questions nine o'clock.
- 34:53Speaker 10: Right, do y'all want to do it at nine?
- 34:55Speaker 2: That sounds like a great time.
- 34:56Speaker 5: Okay, So at nine o'clock, we're going to open up
- 34:59Speaker 5: the phone lines four nine nine one oh four five
- 35:03Speaker 5: four nine nine one o four five.
- 35:05Speaker 10: We're going to open up the phone lines.
- 35:06Speaker 5: We're gonna give you a question, and we're gonna give
- 35:08Speaker 5: you eight seconds to answer the question for your chance
- 35:12Speaker 5: to win VIP tickets four seats lower Bowl to the
- 35:17Speaker 5: Hondo Rodeo Fest.
- 35:19Speaker 2: What's the significant of eight seconds?
- 35:21Speaker 5: Well, that's how long you if you're a beast a
- 35:25Speaker 5: rodeo in that's how.
- 35:26Speaker 10: Long you stay on the animal while right? Also the
- 35:30Speaker 10: great movie eight seconds.
- 35:32Speaker 5: Yeah, so yeah, stay tuned nine o'clock. The phone number
- 35:39Speaker 5: is four nine nine one o four five.
- 35:41Speaker 8: We better start getting our thinking caps on for these questions.
- 35:43Speaker 8: Last time, there were some disappointed answers out there. Lie,
- 35:48Speaker 8: We thank you for colling and we respect it because, yes,
- 35:51Speaker 8: it is tough, like even the most basic of questions.
- 35:54Speaker 8: If you've got pressure put on you, it's tough to
- 35:56Speaker 8: answer even the most basic of questions. But before you
- 35:59Speaker 8: say it, when you call in, do not waste time
- 36:03Speaker 8: by saying you just put me on the spot.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Right, that's the point. Eight seconds, Yes, that is the point.
- 36:09Speaker 5: And don't take time being like oh man, good question or.
- 36:13Speaker 10: Something like that.
- 36:14Speaker 2: I get it.
- 36:15Speaker 8: It's like you know, you you have to it's wasting
- 36:18Speaker 8: the mental exercise.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Yes, the point is to put you on the spot.
- 36:22Speaker 11: Well, look, a lot of other shows they'll just let
- 36:24Speaker 11: anybody call in. If you don't know the answer, don't
- 36:26Speaker 11: call in, just sit down.
- 36:28Speaker 10: Well, I guess they wouldn't know the question until.
- 36:31Speaker 11: Do you have any doubt while dialing the number?
- 36:35Speaker 10: If you don't know ball, do not call.
- 36:37Speaker 8: In if you can't handle the heat, get out the kitchen, period.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Well more, somebody, I don't.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Want to be on the tracks when the trains coming through, right.
- 36:48Speaker 5: Yeah for a guy that's bad at sayings, you got
- 36:52Speaker 5: that one.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks, I appreciate it. Football movies in front program, I.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Could, but wait, what is it? I just made it
- 36:58Speaker 2: up off the top of my head.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Would you say you do want to be on the
- 37:02Speaker 3: tracks when the train's coming through?
- 37:04Speaker 11: So major league two? Baker says he does.
- 37:07Speaker 3: I know, he does say because uh, he like he
- 37:09Speaker 3: had trouble throwing it back to the picture.
- 37:11Speaker 11: On the tracks when the train's coming through butt head.
- 37:13Speaker 3: He had to recite the Playboy Yeah yeah to be
- 37:18Speaker 3: able to throw it down.
- 37:19Speaker 10: I said, nine o'clock. It's he hung up or she?
- 37:24Speaker 10: I don't know. I don't want to assume.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Yeah, let's not make assumptions here.
- 37:28Speaker 3: I'll make assumptions.
- 37:30Speaker 10: Also, we have a text line, so if you want
- 37:33Speaker 10: to text.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Us, tell us about the text line.
- 37:35Speaker 5: So we got a text line and we can take
- 37:38Speaker 5: a look out. I have an account. I think Taylor
- 37:40Speaker 5: has one too. I don't know if you set it
- 37:42Speaker 5: up but we'll get your texts directly to the show.
- 37:45Speaker 5: So if you can't interact with us on the YouTube chat,
- 37:48Speaker 5: you can interact with us on our phone line, our
- 37:51Speaker 5: text line and it's.
- 37:52Speaker 10: The same number.
- 37:52Speaker 5: It's two two five four nine nine one o four five.
- 37:55Speaker 5: So if you want to text us, you can send
- 37:56Speaker 5: us a text right now and I'll get it.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Talk about convenience, you can.
- 38:00Speaker 10: Text us ask the bench questions.
- 38:02Speaker 5: You can text us just normal questions, just like don't
- 38:06Speaker 5: you want to.
- 38:06Speaker 10: Make exactly I'm sensitive.
- 38:10Speaker 8: Which we do want to tell everybody now. I know
- 38:13Speaker 8: that since I've joined the show, which has been a
- 38:16Speaker 8: little while now, we have been not the best at
- 38:19Speaker 8: getting to that last segment of the show, asked the Bench.
- 38:24Speaker 8: But we are making a commitment storrying today that we
- 38:28Speaker 8: are going to give it a full segment. Thank you
- 38:33Speaker 8: a full sevent as the bitch every single day.
- 38:36Speaker 2: And guess what.
- 38:39Speaker 10: It's gonna be brought to you by dokis.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Asked bench. Is gonna be brought to you by Doki
- 38:42Speaker 2: is the best dang.
- 38:43Speaker 10: Beer around, truly the best beer.
- 38:46Speaker 8: So we're making that commitment. We're gonna put our money
- 38:49Speaker 8: where our mouth is.
- 38:49Speaker 5: I know we talk about dressed do sechis with like
- 38:51Speaker 5: the salt and lime all the time? Still alignment to
- 38:54Speaker 5: heen to him?
- 38:56Speaker 8: So ask the bench is going to be on the
- 38:59Speaker 8: YouTube chat, but I guess we could also open it
- 39:01Speaker 8: up to the text.
- 39:01Speaker 5: Yeah you want to text us do it two two
- 39:03Speaker 5: five one four five or no two two five four
- 39:05Speaker 5: nine four five text.
- 39:07Speaker 3: That it's all right? Say now say now, well we
- 39:11Speaker 3: have for looting around here.
- 39:12Speaker 10: I think it shows your name or anything.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Yeah, so you can say whatever you want. Yeah, Alandra,
- 39:17Speaker 3: I actually think that you just maybe created a segment
- 39:20Speaker 3: during football season. Okay, if you don't know ball, don't call. Yeah,
- 39:25Speaker 3: And I think we should open up the phone lines
- 39:27Speaker 3: here in football season. Yeah, right, And if you don't
- 39:29Speaker 3: know ball, don't call, don't call. I like it segment.
- 39:34Speaker 3: We think, okay, like eight thirty Monday mornings, and.
- 39:39Speaker 10: Then they call it and complain or what do they do?
- 39:41Speaker 3: Cheer complain depending on you know how the game went.
- 39:44Speaker 2: We can go a lot of ways with this ram
- 39:47Speaker 2: called if you want to know ball.
- 39:49Speaker 11: That too, right, and they can ask you guys questions.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I like the game actually was just
- 39:54Speaker 3: giving a landa a lot of credit for it. I
- 39:56Speaker 3: know that's what it does. Try to take it over.
- 39:59Speaker 2: That's the thing about a great idea, it spurs conversation.
- 40:05Speaker 5: I mean, I'm full of great ideas, I really am.
- 40:12Speaker 3: I actually don't know the thing. I don't I know
- 40:15Speaker 3: that like old school radio, like phone calls were a
- 40:17Speaker 3: big deal even when I got my start, Like we
- 40:20Speaker 3: were like in three four, we were like we took
- 40:22Speaker 3: phone calls all the time. We do it now, like
- 40:24Speaker 3: we take phone calls on NFL all the time too. Now.
- 40:27Speaker 3: The thing it makes me nervous on NFL if you
- 40:32Speaker 3: are bad and you say something that you can't say,
- 40:36Speaker 3: doesn't really matter there.
- 40:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I already have a question on this text line
- 40:40Speaker 5: for y'all. When is Kiffin bringing in Hester and Flynn
- 40:43Speaker 5: to speak.
- 40:43Speaker 3: To the team.
- 40:44Speaker 10: Didn't he already?
- 40:45Speaker 13: No?
- 40:45Speaker 3: That was Frank.
- 40:46Speaker 10: Oh Frank did it?
- 40:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's when Frank got the job.
- 40:49Speaker 2: I mean, if you're looking for seventy seventy eight coach.
- 40:54Speaker 5: For your guys, I got a yo, I got a
- 40:58Speaker 5: hashtag off the bench, don't know ball, don't call.
- 41:01Speaker 10: I'm gonna started something there.
- 41:04Speaker 3: Just don't curse when we do it.
- 41:06Speaker 10: Someone said, this doesn't work April fools? Right, I respond,
- 41:08Speaker 10: did it works?
- 41:10Speaker 3: Today's April April?
- 41:14Speaker 15: God?
- 41:14Speaker 3: I should have not wait this This person like I
- 41:18Speaker 3: wasn't coming in today.
- 41:19Speaker 10: You should have.
- 41:20Speaker 5: God, this person has a good idea. If you don't
- 41:22Speaker 5: know Ball, don't call. But the right call is to
- 41:25Speaker 5: drink those segies. I can't see y'all's names, so I can't.
- 41:29Speaker 3: I cannot believe I didn't know it is April first.
- 41:32Speaker 3: You're April fools right out there and act like I
- 41:35Speaker 3: wasn't coming It wouldn't.
- 41:37Speaker 11: Wait until like five minutes after the show started.
- 41:40Speaker 2: I'm saying we were fully prepared to run national.
- 41:45Speaker 3: There's those to national shows. Golly, I cannot believe I
- 41:49Speaker 3: did that.
- 41:49Speaker 5: Steve Mullen in the chat says, then as a group,
- 41:52Speaker 5: we decide if the person that calls nos Ball or
- 41:54Speaker 5: they don't know.
- 41:57Speaker 10: Yes, that's a great idea.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Than if you are can we block numbers.
- 42:02Speaker 3: We need to for like a month. So if you
- 42:04Speaker 3: don't know Ball, then waking Phoenix in the background gives
- 42:07Speaker 3: you the comes down. Okay, we are really cooking with here. Gosh,
- 42:13Speaker 3: this is good. Let's split all these ideas slam on
- 42:16Speaker 3: air too. Hey, this is what the group is. We
- 42:20Speaker 3: like we us hear us for our group with our
- 42:23Speaker 3: chat with our listeners. So we're all brainstorming.
- 42:26Speaker 10: Together and we all share one brain throw.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Sometimes half of a brain cell. All right, we will

- 44:39Speaker 3: Run Roll last night, sixteen to six, Laundra. Certainly, certainly
- 44:44Speaker 3: I was in the air coming to you for this one.
- 44:46Speaker 3: I know nobody's dialed into a midweek game like blank space.
- 44:50Speaker 10: I was dialed in until they.
- 44:53Speaker 5: Delayed it like they did a rain delay, and I
- 44:56Speaker 5: didn't know that they had started the game again. And
- 44:58Speaker 5: I really only caught like one inning after that because
- 45:02Speaker 5: it was late and you know, your girl can't your
- 45:04Speaker 5: girl can't hang. Yeah, So I didn't really get to
- 45:07Speaker 5: see the run rule part of it, but I did
- 45:11Speaker 5: see where, uh, Southern got up on us early six one,
- 45:17Speaker 5: six to one, and then we can't kind of came
- 45:19Speaker 5: back like it's weird because I feel like we're usually
- 45:22Speaker 5: worried about the depth of the LSU bullpen, right, like
- 45:26Speaker 5: the not the starters, but the depth, like the middle relief,
- 45:29Speaker 5: the closers, all that we're always.
- 45:31Speaker 10: Worried about that.
- 45:32Speaker 5: I feel like now we're kind of worried about the
- 45:34Speaker 5: midweek and now the Sunday starter.
- 45:38Speaker 9: A big night out?
- 45:39Speaker 2: Yeah he did big night who was the starter? Got
- 45:42Speaker 2: out new Yeah?
- 45:43Speaker 8: Yeah great, that's right, uh yeah, because Southern had three
- 45:47Speaker 8: and went up three nothing with three earned runs and
- 45:49Speaker 8: then they got three more on a Stanfield made a
- 45:51Speaker 8: play that he'll never make again. Probably misplayed a line
- 45:55Speaker 8: drive pop fine and I score three. That's that's uncharacteristic
- 46:00Speaker 8: of him. That probably will not happen again.
- 46:02Speaker 10: Probably made a lot of mistakes.
- 46:04Speaker 11: You came right back. I mean a lot of teams
- 46:05Speaker 11: are veried at six to one. I do like nexting
- 46:07Speaker 11: Curiole Grand Slam scored.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Fifteen on answers.
- 46:10Speaker 5: How about Stephen Mylin scoring two home runs, one on
- 46:12Speaker 5: each side of the plate.
- 46:13Speaker 3: Yeahs hits. That's good to see. They love seeing Stanfield
- 46:17Speaker 3: at the top of the lineup.
- 46:18Speaker 8: Yeah, all the picture next hour probably why they Oh yeah,
- 46:22Speaker 8: we know why they want.
- 46:23Speaker 2: I'll tell you the next hour.

- 46:50Speaker 3: one of the things they wanted to continue to hammer
- 46:52Speaker 3: home and talk about like they're very proud of that,
- 46:54Speaker 3: as they should be. And well they're adding to their
- 46:57Speaker 3: team as well, Matthew.
