Speaker 1: These people built the country, not the complainers. The complainers
• 0:04
Speaker 1: didn't build the country. These people built the country, whether
• 0:07
Speaker 1: it's fishermen or farmers or anything else. Me, guys like me,
• 0:12
Speaker 1: they built the country. You know, I watch all these ingrades.
• 0:15
Speaker 1: They're always complaining, complaining. They didn't build anything. They couldn't
• 0:19
Speaker 1: build anything. Look at what's happened in Minnesota, Samaya. All
• 0:24
Speaker 1: these people came in ft Somaya. They ripped off our system.
• 0:27
Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
• 0:31
Speaker 3: Good Saturday morning. It's so nice to have you with
• 0:33
Speaker 3: us on the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got
• 0:35
Speaker 3: a very special show for you. First, up, the damage
• 0:39
Speaker 3: that was done to America's future with our kids being
• 0:42
Speaker 3: the ones that had the most to lose during the
• 0:45
Speaker 3: COVID lockdowns, and now we're seeing the disaster of the
• 0:49
Speaker 3: education system we set up and how it's going to
• 0:51
Speaker 3: have lasting effects on this country. Up next, President Trump
• 0:56
Speaker 3: going on offense, this time with incredible data on the
• 0:59
Speaker 3: job report. All the economists and the media and the
• 1:03
Speaker 3: Democrats got it wrong. So how is the economy and
• 1:06
Speaker 3: is the private sector in small businesses?
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: Oh?
• 1:08
Speaker 3: Are they growing. You better believe it, and we've got
• 1:11
Speaker 3: the data to back it up. It's a forty seven
• 1:13
Speaker 3: morning update and it starts right now.
• 1:16
  Speaker 2: Story number one.
• 1:17
Speaker 3: There were warning signs when COVID was going on. There
• 1:21
Speaker 3: were warning signs from people that were being silenced as well,
• 1:25
Speaker 3: saying that no one was understanding the harm that was
• 1:28
Speaker 3: being done to our children academically by having quote remote learning.
• 1:33
Speaker 3: You remember when kids stayed home for a couple of
• 1:35
Speaker 3: years and we're having school over their iPads. Well, now
• 1:40
Speaker 3: we are seeing real data of just how much damage
• 1:44
Speaker 3: was done to the future of this country and our
• 1:46
Speaker 3: children that should have probably just been held back instead
• 1:50
Speaker 3: of socially promoted. Well, not only was children's well being
• 1:55
Speaker 3: a decline during that time, but now we're seeing a
• 1:58
Speaker 3: decline nationwide sins the COVID nineteen pandemic, with children now
• 2:03
Speaker 3: in twenty nine states worse off in twenty twenty four
• 2:08
Speaker 3: than in twenty nineteen, according to a new report out
• 2:12
Speaker 3: from the Anti E. Casey Foundation. Now. The report comes
• 2:16
Speaker 3: as families struggle with higher costs for food, housing, and
• 2:19
Speaker 3: other necessities. Advocates warned that cuts to government safety net
• 2:24
Speaker 3: programs could worsen conditions for children, and so they want
• 2:27
Speaker 3: you to spend more money, But the research is showing
• 2:32
Speaker 3: something very different. In fact, the research shows the kids
• 2:35
Speaker 3: who are healthy, safe, fed, educated, and surrounded by strong
• 2:39
Speaker 3: family relationships have a much better chance to thrive and
• 2:44
Speaker 3: contribute as independent adults. The Foundation's vice president saying this
• 2:49
Speaker 3: to Axios. We know that today's children are tomorrow's workforce.
• 2:54
Speaker 3: So the strength of the economy is the future, and
• 2:58
Speaker 3: that is directly tied to the well being kids today.
• 3:01
Speaker 3: The Foundation's twenty twenty six Kids Account Data book measured
• 3:06
Speaker 3: children in four different categories, and this should make every
• 3:10
Speaker 3: American furious. Economic well being, then education, then health, and
• 3:16
Speaker 3: then family and community. The national score fell from five
• 3:20
Speaker 3: point fifty three to five forty seven from twenty nineteen
• 3:25
Speaker 3: to twenty twenty four. In fact, five of the top
• 3:28
Speaker 3: seven states were in the Northeast, while eleven of the
• 3:32
Speaker 3: fifteen lowest rank states were in the South. Still, eight
• 3:36
Speaker 3: Southern states actually improved, including South Carolina, which posted the
• 3:41
Speaker 3: nation's biggest gain at thirty eight points. The share of
• 3:46
Speaker 3: children by the way living in households burdened by housing
• 3:49
Speaker 3: costs rose from thirty to thirty one percent. That affects
• 3:53
Speaker 3: more than twenty two point four million children. It was
• 3:56
Speaker 3: the first increase since twenty ten according to the data.
• 4:00
Speaker 3: As well, and the report revealed sharp declines in health
• 4:03
Speaker 3: and education scores. Even though we have quote Obamacare, child
• 4:08
Speaker 3: in teen deaths actually rose eight percent, so much for
• 4:13
Speaker 3: Obamacare saving kids' lives, while health scores fell from six
• 4:17
Speaker 3: hundred and twenty four to six oh seven. And then
• 4:21
Speaker 3: the education part comes in education scores took the biggest
• 4:25
Speaker 3: hit in any category, plunging from five eighteen to four seventeen,
• 4:31
Speaker 3: driven by massive declines in reading and math proficiency in
• 4:36
Speaker 3: forty seven different states. They said the rise and child
• 4:41
Speaker 3: and teen deaths reflect a youth mental health crisis as
• 4:44
Speaker 3: well that was a real problem during COVID. Some states
• 4:48
Speaker 3: have moved to put more mental health professionals in schools,
• 4:52
Speaker 3: and family and community scores improved from five eighteen to
• 4:55
Speaker 3: six oh eight, while economic well being rose to five
• 4:58
Speaker 3: point fifty one, all way up to five point fifty seven.
• 5:02
Speaker 3: Now here's the part that's really interesting about this. These
• 5:05
Speaker 3: safety net programs, including the temporary twenty twenty one child
• 5:09
Speaker 3: tax credit expansion, may have actually helped cushion families but
• 5:15
Speaker 3: recent Georgetown University data actually showed fewer children enrolled in
• 5:19
Speaker 3: Medicaid and more uninsured, even though Obamacare is out there,
• 5:25
Speaker 3: raising concerns now about what was going to happen in
• 5:28
Speaker 3: the terms of child wellbeing and outcomes for children with
• 5:32
Speaker 3: a system that is clearly broken and heading in the
• 5:35
Speaker 3: wrong direction, particularly around the economic security in a time
• 5:40
Speaker 3: when we know costs are rising for food and housing
• 5:43
Speaker 3: and basic necessities. Now, New Mexico, for example, ranked forty ninth,
• 5:48
Speaker 3: but improved by twenty two points, largely on economic gains.
• 5:53
Speaker 3: Mississippi ranked last overall that saw stronger education results after
• 5:58
Speaker 3: at twenty thirteen third grade reading law and continued funding
• 6:02
Speaker 3: in schools, teacher training, and early childhood education. All of
• 6:07
Speaker 3: those things obviously are really really really really really important.
• 6:12
Speaker 3: Now that's positive proof that when we make direct investments
• 6:17
Speaker 3: in families and children, that children then do well. The
• 6:21
Speaker 3: teen birth rate, by the way, also fell twenty four percent.
• 6:24
Speaker 3: I'm going to say that again. The teen birth rate
• 6:28
Speaker 3: fell twenty four percent during the study period. It is
• 6:31
Speaker 3: the direct results of decades of investment in trying to
• 6:34
Speaker 3: ensure that teen pregnancy rates actually decline. The study sense.
• 6:39
Speaker 3: Now you put all this into perspective right now, and
• 6:42
Speaker 3: here's what we know for a fact. We know that
• 6:45
Speaker 3: COVID and having children stay home not only literally cost
• 6:50
Speaker 3: kids their lives with mental health issues, but it also
• 6:53
Speaker 3: took away the quality education or even maybe the bare
• 6:56
Speaker 3: minimum education that they were receiving. It made it all worse.
• 7:00
Speaker 3: And now we have a major economic problem on the horizon.
• 7:05
Speaker 3: Too many kids that don't even know how to read
• 7:08
Speaker 3: going into college. Let me say that again. The new
• 7:12
Speaker 3: data also shows that more kids are going to college
• 7:16
Speaker 3: without being proficient in reading. How is that even possible?
• 7:21
Speaker 3: Welcome to social promotion of our government schools. It's clearly
• 7:25
Speaker 3: defrauding kids of their future. And the fact that we
• 7:29
Speaker 3: socially promoted countless children all across the country is now
• 7:33
Speaker 3: really coming back to honess and it will honesus in
• 7:36
Speaker 3: the workforce as well, all because Democrats wanting to shut
• 7:40
Speaker 3: down the schools. And remember the big lie. Oh, it'll
• 7:43
Speaker 3: only be for two weeks, and we now know it's
• 7:46
Speaker 3: going to have a lifetime of repercussions for so many
• 7:49
Speaker 3: kids that were in our public schools systems.
• 7:52
Speaker 2: Next story number two, the.
• 7:54
Speaker 3: Trump economy just crushed it. Let me say that again.
• 7:58
Speaker 3: The Trump economy just crushed it again. Now, if you
• 8:03
Speaker 3: listen to the media, you would think America is literally
• 8:06
Speaker 3: on the verge of collapse. They keep telling you the
• 8:09
Speaker 3: economy is weak, they keep predicting disaster, they keep rooting
• 8:13
Speaker 3: for bad news because they believe in propaganda. They believe
• 8:18
Speaker 3: that bad news hurts President Donald Trump and then it
• 8:21
Speaker 3: will hurt Republicans in the midterms. That is their whole goal.
• 8:25
Speaker 3: Once again, however, reality showed up and embarrassed every single
• 8:31
Speaker 3: one of them in the media. The job numbers are
• 8:33
Speaker 3: in and they are absolutely incredible. No one expected what
• 8:39
Speaker 3: I'm about to tell you that is that the United
• 8:42
Speaker 3: States economy added one hundred and seventy two thousand jobs
• 8:47
Speaker 3: in May. CNN having to report the data. Here's what
• 8:52
  Speaker 3: they said.
• 8:53
Speaker 4: This really blew away expectations the US economy adding, as
• 8:57
Speaker 4: you mentioned, one hundred and seventy two thousand jobs in May.
• 9:00
Speaker 4: The forecast was for one hundred and five. There were
• 9:02
Speaker 4: whispers for half that, so that is a significant beat.
• 9:05
Speaker 4: And there were positive revisions.
• 9:07
Speaker 3: Asks tell me about the revisions. That's now become my
• 9:09
  Speaker 3: new favorite thing.
• 9:09
Speaker 4: Yeah, Well, we've become so accustomed to negative revisions, and
• 9:12
Speaker 4: now we've got the opposite right. There was a modest
• 9:15
Speaker 4: increase from March to a very healthy two hundred and
• 9:18
Speaker 4: fourteen thousand, but April was revised sharply higher to one
• 9:21
Speaker 4: hundred and seventy nine thousand.
• 9:23
Speaker 3: Now you listen to what I just played for you,
• 9:26
Speaker 3: and that is the worst newze that CNN could have
• 9:29
Speaker 3: ever asked for. You can even hear there. So now
• 9:31
Speaker 3: I want the revisions. Tell me what the revisions are. Well,
• 9:34
Speaker 3: their revisions were actually up again. So the job numbers
• 9:37
Speaker 3: are in. They're incredible. The revisions are in for the
• 9:40
Speaker 3: month before they're also incredible. And not only do we
• 9:43
Speaker 3: beat the expectations, we literally crushed them. Every economist surveyed
• 9:48
Speaker 3: by Bloomberg underestimated the numbers, every single one of them,
• 9:53
Speaker 3: which begs the question, are these economists actually just political
• 9:57
Speaker 3: hacks that hate Donald Trump as well? It's a fair
• 10:00
Speaker 3: question when all of them got it wrong. Now Wall
• 10:03
Speaker 3: Street expected roughly half of what the Trump economy delivered,
• 10:07
Speaker 3: and that's not all. Is that you heard there? The
• 10:09
Speaker 3: April jobs number were revised upward to one hundred and
• 10:13
Speaker 3: seventy nine thousand jobs. So when you combine the revisions
• 10:17
Speaker 3: from March and April, the economy actually created ninety three
• 10:21
Speaker 3: thousand more jobs than originally reported. That's not a little bit.
• 10:26
Speaker 3: That's a lot. Now, if you think about it for
• 10:28
Speaker 3: a second. The experts were wrong, the economists were wrong,
• 10:31
Speaker 3: the media was wrong, all of them. Again. Yes, like
• 10:35
Speaker 3: there's a trend here. Unemployment, by the way, held steady
• 10:39
Speaker 3: at just four point three percent. And perhaps the most
• 10:42
Speaker 3: important number in this report is what's happening with small businesses.
• 10:47
Speaker 3: Paycheck reports that small businesses, and this is incredible, hiring
• 10:51
Speaker 3: has now accelerated for not one, not two, but three
• 10:55
Speaker 3: straight months. That is considered a trend because small businesses,
• 11:00
Speaker 3: if they're not hiring, well, they're not hiring because they
• 11:03
Speaker 3: don't have confidence. But these small businesses are hiring because
• 11:07
Speaker 3: somebody in Washington is telling them it's okay, and they
• 11:11
Speaker 3: believe that person. Who am I talking about, I'm talking
• 11:14
Speaker 3: about President Donald Trump. They're hiring because they believe the
• 11:17
Speaker 3: future actually looks brighter. These small businesses are hiring because
• 11:21
Speaker 3: confidence is actually returning, and confidence drives economic growth. And
• 11:27
Speaker 3: that's why these numbers matter so much and why now,
• 11:30
Speaker 3: of course, the media does not want to talk about it.
• 11:34
Speaker 3: This isn't government hiring either. I'm gonna say that again.
• 11:37
Speaker 3: This isn't government hiring. This isn't artificial growth. We've seen
• 11:42
Speaker 3: Democrats do that before, and by the way, sometimes Republicans
• 11:46
Speaker 3: have they will try to make the numbers go up
• 11:48
Speaker 3: by having government hiring. That's not what this is. This
• 11:52
Speaker 3: is real economic activity happening all across America in the
• 11:56
Speaker 3: private sector, and while the economy is continuing to actually roar. Yes, statistically,
• 12:02
Speaker 3: that is what is happening. There's also something else that
• 12:05
Speaker 3: happened this week that deserves attention as well. President Trump
• 12:08
Speaker 3: signed what could become one of the most important national
• 12:11
Speaker 3: security directives of the decade, a historic Artificial Intelligence Directive
• 12:17
Speaker 3: aimed at ensuring America remains the world's technological leader. Now,
• 12:21
Speaker 3: let's be honest. The next major global competition isn't just
• 12:25
Speaker 3: about tanks and aircraft carriers. It is about artificial intelligence.
• 12:31
  Speaker 1: Now.
• 12:31
Speaker 3: I've warned you about this for a while that if
• 12:33
Speaker 3: we don't lead on AI, China will, and China will
• 12:36
Speaker 3: control AI, and China will control every aspect of what
• 12:40
Speaker 3: people believe what they find. Now, this isn't just about
• 12:45
Speaker 3: who controls technology that will shape military strategy. It will
• 12:48
Speaker 3: also shape intelligence gathering, it will shape cybersecurity. It will
• 12:53
Speaker 3: also shape medicine, manufacturing, and economic power. And there's one
• 13:00
Speaker 3: that desperately wants to beat America. I'll say it again,
• 13:03
Speaker 3: it's China. Now, to be clear, the Chinese Communist Party
• 13:07
Speaker 3: has invested hundreds of billions of dollars. I'm gonna say
• 13:10
Speaker 3: that again, hundreds of billions of dollars to dominate AI.
• 13:17
Speaker 3: They know whoever leads the AI race will possess enormous
• 13:22
Speaker 3: economic and military advantages. Now, President Trump's directive recognizes that
• 13:27
Speaker 3: reality that the United States isn't going to sit back
• 13:29
Speaker 3: and surrender technological leadership. We're going to lead. We're going
• 13:33
Speaker 3: to be innovative. We're going to make sure American technology,
• 13:37
Speaker 3: not Chinese technology, defines the future of the greatest country
• 13:42
Speaker 3: in the world. Now, let's talk about another area real quick,
• 13:44
Speaker 3: where the administration is also taking aggressive action. Again, I
• 13:48
Speaker 3: tell you these things because the media refuses to cover this.
• 13:51
Speaker 3: The goal, by the way, is pretty simple. It's on
• 13:54
Speaker 3: the issue of crime. The Department of Justice has announced
• 13:58
Speaker 3: that they're calling the Model Cities Initiative a new way
• 14:02
Speaker 3: of fighting crime, targeting cities that have been overwhelmed by
• 14:05
Speaker 3: violent crime, and then restoring law and order. Now, for years,
• 14:09
Speaker 3: Americans have watched major cities that send into chaos. We've
• 14:13
Speaker 3: seen retail theft, We've seen carjackings, violent crime, open air
• 14:17
Speaker 3: drug markets, Businesses are fleeing. And when cities rise in crime,
• 14:22
Speaker 3: we also know what happens. Poverty and unemployment rates go up.
• 14:27
Speaker 3: Families then move out. Schools begin to fail at bigger
• 14:32
Speaker 3: rates than before. And the administration has said, enough is enough.
• 14:37
Speaker 3: We need to protect our big cities, and we need
• 14:39
Speaker 3: to do it because everyone, regardless of who they voted for,
• 14:42
Speaker 3: and regardless of how much cash flow they have, how
• 14:46
Speaker 3: much they make, deserve to have you guessed it a
• 14:50
Speaker 3: safe city. It is also good for the economy, and
• 14:53
Speaker 3: the President understands that. Now this initiative designed to bring
• 14:57
Speaker 3: federal resources in they say, to fight and help comm
• 15:00
Speaker 3: needs reclaim their streets. Immigration enforcement is also continuing to intensify,
• 15:05
Speaker 3: which yes, helps protect American workers. Now. This week, border
• 15:09
Speaker 3: patrol agents in Arizona, for example, stopped an operation involving
• 15:13
Speaker 3: dozens of legal immigrants who were driving semi trucks, putting
• 15:17
Speaker 3: your lives at risk on the roadways. Now think about
• 15:20
Speaker 3: how brazen that has become. Look in New Jersey, authorities
• 15:23
Speaker 3: arrested individuals accused of attempting to disrupt operations in an
• 15:27
Speaker 3: ice attention facility. They were demanding that everyone in there,
• 15:30
Speaker 3: including rapists, child molesters, human traffickers, and drug dealers, were
• 15:36
Speaker 3: let out of the facility. The message from this administration, however,
• 15:40
Speaker 3: is really clear. The laws are going to be enforced,
• 15:43
Speaker 3: borders actually have a meaning, they matter, and national sovereignty matters.
• 15:49
Speaker 3: Now you look about all of these issues, they all
• 15:52
Speaker 3: go back to one thing. With President Trump. Every American family,
• 15:56
Speaker 3: he says, is his first priority. Yes, he also wants
• 16:00
Speaker 3: to protect Americans from financial fallout and prescription drug prices.
• 16:05
Speaker 3: We're saying. The President also talked about this week announcing
• 16:08
Speaker 3: additional actions designed to lower costs and increase transparency in pricing.
• 16:13
Speaker 3: For years, Americans have complained and have been strapped for
• 16:18
Speaker 3: cash when it comes to paying for medications, and we
• 16:21
Speaker 3: pay a lot more than other countries. It's an issue
• 16:24
Speaker 3: that Donald Trump led on. Democrats, by the way, have
• 16:26
Speaker 3: talked about it for years, so Republicans. But this administration,
• 16:30
Speaker 3: they're taking direct action to put pressure on the system
• 16:33
Speaker 3: and reduce costs for every American. And if you talk
• 16:36
Speaker 3: about accountability, well, the President also signed a directive aimed
• 16:39
Speaker 3: at increasing accountability through the federal workforce. Basic premises past
• 16:44
Speaker 3: week is pretty straightforward. Taxpayers expect government employees to work
• 16:47
Speaker 3: for the taxpayers, and the administration says performance, productivity, and
• 16:52
Speaker 3: accountability should matter in government just like they matter in
• 16:55
Speaker 3: the private sector. So you take a look at all
• 16:59
Speaker 3: of this Trump effect is real. Just this week, more
• 17:02
Speaker 3: than three point four billion and new investments were announced
• 17:05
Speaker 3: three point four billion. General Dynamics announced two hundred million
• 17:09
Speaker 3: in investments. USG announced one billion investment. These are just
• 17:13
Speaker 3: some of the people that are investing in America. So
• 17:16
Speaker 3: for years Americans have become dangerously dependent on foreign suppliers.
• 17:22
Speaker 3: This present saying not anymore. You want to know what
• 17:25
Speaker 3: the Trump plan is putting Americans first and fighting on
• 17:29
Speaker 3: all of these issues at the same time.
