- 0:33what is going on everybody
- 0:34welcome and good afternoon
- 0:37to lunch with the
- 0:37Clydesdale it's a monday uh
- 0:40of daylight savings time
- 0:41week uh feeling the effects
- 0:43of that every single minute
- 0:45this morning uh but we are
- 0:47back at work we are
- 0:48cruising we are doing uh
- 0:52our thing and uh what's up
- 0:55cat what's up cory um
- 0:59Doing our thing here on a Monday,
- 1:01getting a little break from
- 1:02the work schedule.
- 1:04And then we got a meeting
- 1:05right after this.
- 1:05So today's lunch has got to be quick,
- 1:08but we'll get through that.
- 1:09And we're going to talk a
- 1:11little bit of the NFL
- 1:13landscape and free agency,
- 1:15the money that they are
- 1:16throwing around and the
- 1:18health of that sport and how, in contrast,
- 1:23it looks for the fitness world, CrossFit,
- 1:27whatever we're doing.
- 1:30And then we will move into
- 1:34taking a peek at where we
- 1:35are on the leaderboard.
- 1:37On one side,
- 1:39last week's champ seems to
- 1:40have posted up a score that
- 1:42will make her a two-time
- 1:44champ in the open.
- 1:46And then we'll look at the men's side,
- 1:47see where we're at.
- 1:49Last week's champ has not
- 1:50posted yet on that side.
- 1:52So we'll see how that kind
- 1:53of plays out as we move
- 1:55through today's show.
- 1:57What's going on, Andrew?
- 2:00Did we save the daylight?
- 2:01We sure did.
- 2:02It was almost eight o'clock
- 2:04here when the sun went down
- 2:08last night and it, man,
- 2:11it messes with me trying to fall asleep.
- 2:15So Aaron Frazier says, no,
- 2:19the daylight is lost forever.
- 2:25Oh my gosh.
- 2:26cat has a first date tonight
- 2:28hiking state park should I
- 2:29bring a firearm uh depends
- 2:33on how much you know the
- 2:34person and did you stick to
- 2:37your rule that you had to
- 2:38meet them in person to get
- 2:40the date or you back on the
- 2:42apps that's my question um
- 2:51corey says stay strapped or
- 2:52get clapped cat uh aaron
- 2:54fraser always bring the firearm
- 2:59So she's back on the apps.
- 3:05Already breaking her own promises.
- 3:09Always already breaking her own promises.
- 3:16I'm looking at some breaking
- 3:17news here from the NFL.
- 3:19Sorry, guys.
- 3:24The Chicago Bears just signed the center.
- 3:28There we go.
- 3:29We are revamping the
- 3:31offensive line in a hurry
- 3:33this year with two trades
- 3:34last week and a brand new center today.
- 3:39Yeah, that's pretty sweet.
- 3:42So I woke up today and do
- 3:44you ever get that song like
- 3:46stuck in your head and you
- 3:48don't know why it's that song and why
- 3:54What's crazy is it's not a
- 3:56song I even listen to very often,
- 3:58but the song that's stuck
- 3:59in my head is Whistle by Flo Rida.
- 4:04Flo Rida.
- 4:06Why would that song be stuck in my head?
- 4:08And the biggest problem for
- 4:09me is I don't even know the
- 4:11words to the song except for whistle baby,
- 4:14whistle baby.
- 4:15And so that, so it keeps going through,
- 4:17keeps going through my head
- 4:20and I can't get it finished
- 4:21cause I don't know the ride,
- 4:23the words to get to the end of the song.
- 4:26Um,
- 4:28And so maybe I just need to
- 4:29play the song fully out and
- 4:32get it out of my head.
- 4:33Do you, is that how you get a word,
- 4:35an earworm out of your head?
- 4:36Or if I play it,
- 4:38will it then just get more
- 4:39ingrained into my head and
- 4:40I won't be able to get rid of it.
- 4:47Uh, Kenneth,
- 4:48I got pink pony club on
- 4:50repeating my brain.
- 4:51Oh, that's bad.
- 4:53Uh,
- 4:55Aaron says I need to get that whistle
- 4:56blown.
- 4:57Uh,
- 4:58maybe maybe maybe that's
- 5:02that's the answer to it all
- 5:08uh yeah just put your lips
- 5:10together thanks kat uh just
- 5:12playing it all right I'm
- 5:15gonna try after this show
- 5:16I'm just gonna go jam do do
- 5:19a dance in my dining room
- 5:21to a little whistle and
- 5:22then hopefully it's gone
- 5:23from my head and I'll
- 5:25update you guys tomorrow on how that is
- 5:30I just got done watching.
- 5:32I didn't get done with it.
- 5:33I was in the middle of
- 5:34watching the Fronk podcast.
- 5:37Did you see that the barn roof of the barn,
- 5:40the gym barn, got ripped off?
- 5:43Half of it got ripped off
- 5:45and sent across his field.
- 5:49And they had standing water
- 5:52inside the gym.
- 5:53All that gym equipment
- 5:55sitting in standing water.
- 5:57That is...
- 6:00that is insane to me so much,
- 6:03so much expense.
- 6:04And like,
- 6:05I know my gym is super tiny
- 6:08compared to his.
- 6:08I know what I invested in my
- 6:10gym and if it had standing water in it,
- 6:12I would, I would be crying.
- 6:15Um,
- 6:16I just wonder what the insurance claim
- 6:18is going to look like.
- 6:19And if the insurance
- 6:20adjuster is even going to
- 6:21understand what the hell, uh,
- 6:24those items are on the list
- 6:27of things that were damaged in the storm.
- 6:31I know when I go to the
- 6:32doctor they don't even know
- 6:33what crossfit is or any of
- 6:34the stuff we do can you
- 6:36imagine an insurance
- 6:36adjuster coming out and
- 6:38trying to figure out uh
- 6:42what the hell an echo bike
- 6:43is or um this an ohio bar
- 6:46or all these things I think
- 6:49that would be a funny
- 6:51conversation to have with
- 6:54an insurance broker so
- 6:59I know the thumbnail said
- 7:02NFL free agency frenzy.
- 7:04That's already gone on.
- 7:05I cannot believe the money
- 7:09that the NFL is throwing around.
- 7:11Before free agency even started yesterday,
- 7:13teams were signing their
- 7:15own players or trading their players.
- 7:19Yesterday alone...
- 7:22Josh Allen got three hundred
- 7:23and thirty million.
- 7:24Miles Garrett got one
- 7:25hundred and thirty million.
- 7:28DK Metcalf got one hundred
- 7:29and fifty million.
- 7:33And I know I'm missing another one.
- 7:36Oh,
- 7:36Devante Adams got like twenty million a
- 7:38year.
- 7:40What a crazy, crazy day it was.
- 7:43And then free agency,
- 7:44the negotiating period
- 7:46opened at noon today.
- 7:48By like twelve or five,
- 7:49there were already four signings.
- 7:52The Bears made Jeff Dahlman
- 7:54the second highest paid
- 7:55center in the league.
- 7:58Hassan Redick went to the Buccaneers.
- 8:04Three hundred and thirty
- 8:04million to play a game.
- 8:07I have this argument with
- 8:07people all the time.
- 8:09The only reason he gets
- 8:10three hundred and thirty
- 8:11million to play a game
- 8:12because millions and
- 8:14millions of people watch every Sunday.
- 8:18And the TV networks can sell
- 8:21ads for those games that people watch,
- 8:24and they can make a fortune.
- 8:26So they are paying that
- 8:27league billions and
- 8:29billions of dollars to be
- 8:31able to air those games.
- 8:33And because of those TV contracts,
- 8:37and to be competitive,
- 8:38the players get their share
- 8:40of it because they are an
- 8:41attraction to the game.
- 8:44That's why they get this money.
- 8:48If people came to watch me
- 8:49do my job and they paid so
- 8:52much money to do that,
- 8:54then my value would go up
- 8:56and therefore I should make more money.
- 8:59But that's why.
- 9:03I ain't mad at him.
- 9:04I just think it's wild.
- 9:06Yeah, I'm not mad.
- 9:08If someone's going to pay you the money,
- 9:10you sign on a dotted line, right?
- 9:13And maybe that's...
- 9:15that's the attitude we
- 9:16should take with this WFP thing.
- 9:18They came in and offered twenty athletes,
- 9:20forty athletes a chunk of
- 9:24money to come and play a game,
- 9:27play a sport,
- 9:28whatever you want to call it.
- 9:30Do fitness fast.
- 9:33And they jumped at that opportunity,
- 9:34right?
- 9:36Which I would, most people would, um,
- 9:42there were a Tia didn't maybe.
- 9:46Um,
- 9:47I don't know if anybody else had turned
- 9:48them down.
- 9:50Uh,
- 9:51but if someone's going to offer you the
- 9:52money to do it, you're going to do it.
- 9:54But I think what,
- 9:55what makes it tough right now is,
- 9:59is that here we sit,
- 10:03we're coming off of games that wasn't,
- 10:06um,
- 10:08that had a tragic event,
- 10:10and we knew there was going
- 10:11to be a dip in support for the sport.
- 10:15Then we have this second
- 10:19league come on who's
- 10:21offering everybody money,
- 10:23and now we have these two
- 10:24competing seasons.
- 10:26In a year where we need the
- 10:28sport to come back,
- 10:30we have a lot of things going against us.
- 10:35And I don't hate on the WFP.
- 10:37They can do whatever they want to do.
- 10:39It's a free market.
- 10:40And if they can make it work
- 10:41with the way they do things,
- 10:44that'll be interesting.
- 10:46And maybe it helps grow the sport.
- 10:49But right now, it just seems like
- 10:52CrossFit is actually putting
- 10:54on open announcements that are fun again,
- 10:58that are emphasizing the community.
- 11:00They're making the right steps.
- 11:02I heard on Rich's podcast,
- 11:04the Safety Advisory Council
- 11:06had a meeting where they
- 11:07talked about things.
- 11:10especially like should
- 11:12athletes know movements?
- 11:14Should they not?
- 11:15What does that do with the games?
- 11:17Sounds like they're actually
- 11:18doing things that need to be done.
- 11:22And that has been a
- 11:23criticism in the past that
- 11:24the councils that have been formed have
- 11:27uh don't necessarily do what
- 11:29they were designed to do it
- 11:31sounds like the safety
- 11:33council is actually talking
- 11:35about important things for
- 11:37the upcoming season the
- 11:39athlete council is putting
- 11:41out statements and their
- 11:42surveys and they're
- 11:44answering the surveys and
- 11:45they're doing things that
- 11:47other councils have not
- 11:48done in the past like we're
- 11:50making headway
- 11:54So it's just going to be interesting.
- 11:55It's something I think
- 11:56that's going to be fun to
- 11:57watch how the season plays out.
- 12:00I watched dense updates this morning.
- 12:02And her theory is that, you know,
- 12:05some of the athletes are
- 12:06sandbagging the CrossFit
- 12:07game season while doing the WFP.
- 12:10I'm not sure I would go that
- 12:11far in my conspiracy theory.
- 12:15I think that, that athletes know that,
- 12:20There was a lot of unknown
- 12:22going into the open.
- 12:23We didn't know what the
- 12:24signups were going to be.
- 12:24We don't know what the prize
- 12:25payout's going to be.
- 12:27We don't know all this stuff.
- 12:30And so they were kind of
- 12:34reserving the way to
- 12:38examine what their options
- 12:40were and kind of slow play it.
- 12:44just like Justin Fields in the NFL, right?
- 12:46He has offers from the Steelers.
- 12:49He couldn't get other offers
- 12:50from other teams till noon today.
- 12:52He slow played it rather
- 12:54than re-signing with them
- 12:55to see whether or not other
- 12:58teams would offer him more money.
- 13:01And so...
- 13:07So yeah.
- 13:08So he is waiting to see what
- 13:10kind of money he would make.
- 13:11And, um, and so, yeah,
- 13:15I think that's what the
- 13:16athletes are doing now.
- 13:17They don't know what the WFP
- 13:19season is going to be like.
- 13:21Um,
- 13:24And so they're just slow
- 13:25playing it to see they're
- 13:27getting some guaranteed money.
- 13:28They can slow play it,
- 13:30see what it's going to look like,
- 13:31how much effort they put
- 13:32forth in any of these things,
- 13:34whether BWFP or CrossFit is
- 13:37anybody's guess.
- 13:38And we'll have to wait and
- 13:39see when they come up.
- 13:43Jody Lynn says.
- 13:46Who cares?
- 13:46The CrossFit competition is
- 13:47going to be awesome no
- 13:48matter who it is in it.
- 13:50I don't disagree with you on this.
- 13:53And I think the unknown fact
- 13:55of who's going to win even
- 13:56makes it more interesting.
- 14:01What I kind of disagree with
- 14:03is I care to see how it plays out.
- 14:06That's why we have these shows, right?
- 14:09I care to see how I want to
- 14:11see how both play out.
- 14:12I want to see how they both
- 14:15attack things to be different,
- 14:17how they look at revenue streams.
- 14:20That's something I kind of
- 14:21wanted to talk about last
- 14:22night on the show,
- 14:23but we ran out of time is I
- 14:25don't think CrossFit over
- 14:26the years has capitalized
- 14:28on revenue streams that
- 14:29they could access to help
- 14:31make more money and to make
- 14:33the sport more profitable.
- 14:36I think they rely on the
- 14:37stuff that has been done
- 14:38before and they're not
- 14:40being innovative about how
- 14:41to bring in additional money.
- 14:45And I think part of that is
- 14:47that they don't look
- 14:48outside their own house as
- 14:50to how other people are
- 14:51doing some things that are
- 14:53actually really good ideas.
- 14:55And so what's going to be
- 14:56interesting to me is if the
- 14:58WFP does something that is
- 15:01of value and brings value to the sport,
- 15:05Will CrossFit be humble enough to say, hey,
- 15:08that was a good idea,
- 15:10we should implement it?
- 15:12Because none of that stuff
- 15:13can be trademarked or
- 15:14copyrighted other than CrossFit the name.
- 15:18I guess WFP could be copyrighted as a name,
- 15:20but you can't copyright revenue streams,
- 15:25things of that nature through the sport.
- 15:30So that's what I want to see.
- 15:34This is the exact example.
- 15:38I was thinking of Kenneth DeLapp.
- 15:41Doing a tailgate stream like
- 15:42Rogue did is such an easy
- 15:44way to make some dough.
- 15:46I completely agree.
- 15:47When you do it as well as Rogue did it,
- 15:50people are willing to pay
- 15:52twenty five bucks for a
- 15:54full weekend of getting
- 15:56different camera angles,
- 15:57getting a different studio show,
- 16:00getting different stuff like that.
- 16:03That is a way to make money
- 16:04that CrossFit is not taking advantage of.
- 16:14I also think that another
- 16:16one that I've brought up is
- 16:19CrossFit has never done
- 16:20Jersey sales well.
- 16:23They've never delivered on time.
- 16:26They've never delivered in a good way.
- 16:30If you go to any other sporting event,
- 16:32there are T-shirts or
- 16:34jerseys or whatever
- 16:36polluting the audience.
- 16:39I went to the Olympic swimming trials.
- 16:41T-shirts for different
- 16:42swimmers were being worn by
- 16:44tons of people in the
- 16:45audience or in the crowd.
- 16:47You go to a baseball game, a football game,
- 16:49a basketball game,
- 16:51jerseys are being worn everywhere.
- 16:53The only thing that CrossFit
- 16:55sells in their store
- 16:56typically are things that say CrossFit.
- 17:00You have that copyright.
- 17:02You're the only one that can
- 17:03do a CrossFit Games jersey
- 17:04because it has CrossFit in it.
- 17:07They could do jersey sales
- 17:10and give a percentage to
- 17:12the athlete just like they
- 17:14do in the other sports.
- 17:15And that is a way to make
- 17:18money for those athletes and for you,
- 17:22the big entity.
- 17:25But it takes too long for them to do it.
- 17:29And maybe if this B-to-CrossFit,
- 17:35whatever it is,
- 17:36over near buys them and has
- 17:38an apparel company,
- 17:39they can be more equipped
- 17:40to do things like this,
- 17:43capitalize on a different revenue stream.
- 17:46And that's one thing I don't
- 17:51think the WFP is doing awesome with.
- 17:53Their merchandise right now is just WFP.
- 17:56They've known who their
- 17:57signed athletes are for a while.
- 17:58They could have done Jersey sales,
- 18:02things like that for the
- 18:03people to do that.
- 18:09That could have been written
- 18:10into their contracts.
- 18:12And all that you see are WFP merchandise.
- 18:16They could have put the WFP
- 18:18logo on a Jersey with Emily
- 18:20Rolfe or with James Sprague
- 18:22or whoever their signed athletes are.
- 18:26And it would be easy because
- 18:27you know who they are so
- 18:28far in advance and you
- 18:31already have a contract with them.
- 18:38Craig says,
- 18:39really good quality replica jerseys,
- 18:41top-bottom compression shorts,
- 18:43and socks would be cool.
- 18:44Yes, so much so.
- 18:47I completely agree.
- 18:48And people would buy those.
- 18:52When Christy owned our gym
- 18:55and she made her shirts for a competition,
- 18:58she would sell the hell out of them.
- 19:02And everybody wore Christy
- 19:04jerseys throughout the gym.
- 19:06So, yeah.
- 19:10Emily Rolfe is a boss.
- 19:11She sure is.
- 19:13Emily Rolfe is really cool.
- 19:15Did you guys see the Emily Rolfe?
- 19:17She only drinks in the off season, but,
- 19:21and then her chugging, what,
- 19:25what is that called?
- 19:26Smirnoff ice after the
- 19:28twenty two point two twenty
- 19:30five point two announcement in the middle,
- 19:33like in a lunge in the
- 19:35middle of the comp floor.
- 19:37It was freaking awesome.
- 19:42yeah I have a jamie shirt
- 19:43too they came out well that
- 19:45was thick boy thick boy did
- 19:46that um made a really nice
- 19:50replica-ish uh type jersey
- 19:54it was really cool uh yeah
- 19:57she probably got iced she
- 19:59did it was cool and she
- 20:04chugged it like a boss too so
- 20:11I will buy Jamie's t-shirt
- 20:12this season to Fofford.
- 20:15Well, you'll hear it here first, Craig,
- 20:16you're always here.
- 20:17You'll know if we offer another one.
- 20:20If she goes to the games, I am sure that,
- 20:26that we will do another shirt for her.
- 20:29But I do know that her
- 20:30priorities this year are
- 20:32more about her son's senior
- 20:33year in high school.
- 20:34So she's got to get through
- 20:35that and get him into college.
- 20:38And,
- 20:39But hopefully she is able to
- 20:40do both this season.
- 20:42But her priority is really
- 20:44her son this year.
- 20:45And she said that on our show,
- 20:46I think a couple weeks ago.
- 20:49But she took sixth in the
- 20:50first open workout in our division.
- 20:52I'm sure she's going to do fine this week.
- 20:56She'll make it to the next
- 20:57round where she will do better.
- 20:59um and hopefully she
- 21:01qualifies and we'll see her
- 21:03here in columbus if not
- 21:04hopefully she comes to
- 21:05columbus and hangs out with
- 21:06me and we do our coverage
- 21:08down here when all that's
- 21:09going on so so I just think
- 21:17that that everything's kind
- 21:19of at a crossroads and it
- 21:20and crossroads means not
- 21:22that it's going to be bad
- 21:23from here on out
- 21:25It could be good.
- 21:26We could have an uptick of
- 21:28things with everything going on this year,
- 21:30or we could have a downturn.
- 21:31I think it's the time.
- 21:33It's a crucial time where
- 21:37CrossFit has to take
- 21:38advantage of what's out
- 21:39there and make those
- 21:41changes to get that uptick for the sport.
- 21:47And it's going to be fun to watch.
- 21:49Fun to watch for sure.
- 21:52So let's take a look at the
- 21:55leaderboard and where we
- 21:57stand at the current moment
- 22:00with twenty five point two.
- 22:08On a side note, Scott,
- 22:09my wife was hit by the
- 22:10return to office policy in Texas,
- 22:12so it looks like we are
- 22:13moving back to Austin.
- 22:15That sucks, dude.
- 22:18Do you still have your house there?
- 22:21I hope so.
- 22:24And how much longer does she
- 22:25have till retirement age?
- 22:29I'll tell you what it's done
- 22:30for me has made me really
- 22:32kind of look at all the
- 22:33retirement options I have.
- 22:35And you don't have the house.
- 22:37Oh man.
- 22:39What it's made me do is
- 22:40really look at retirement options.
- 22:42What are my options?
- 22:44When can I make, when can I make the jump?
- 22:49Fifteen years.
- 22:50Oh, that's brutal.
- 22:52See, I know like in the state of Ohio,
- 22:55as long as I'm working from home,
- 22:57I just have to be within
- 22:58the border of the state to
- 23:00continue to work my job.
- 23:02I could move anywhere in the
- 23:03state of Ohio.
- 23:04But if I return to the office,
- 23:06it has to be here in Columbus.
- 23:08And I'm assuming that that's
- 23:09the same for your wife.
- 23:10And that is just, that's just brutal.
- 23:15tell her I feel her pain so much.
- 23:17Cause I know like I made it
- 23:18through this phase of the, the,
- 23:21the problem, but it is going to,
- 23:25it's going to come back and
- 23:26bite me at some point.
- 23:27I know that I'm going back at some point,
- 23:30um,
- 23:31because the momentum is just too great
- 23:33at this point.
- 23:34Uh, and it kind of,
- 23:38Cause my daughter lives in Pennsylvania.
- 23:40My, my mom lives in Pennsylvania.
- 23:42We thought about moving back
- 23:43there since I worked from home, but it,
- 23:46I'm not allowed to be
- 23:47outside the Ohio border and
- 23:49they have actually busted
- 23:51people here for doing that.
- 23:53Um,
- 23:54because they can tell from your IP
- 23:56address,
- 23:57if you are in the state or out of
- 23:58the state.
- 23:59And, uh, yeah,
- 24:02we had some people move out of state,
- 24:03try to work,
- 24:04continue for the state and
- 24:06they were promptly fired.
- 24:12So I hope you find a good solution,
- 24:16Jay Birch, man.
- 24:17So on the women's side,
- 24:19I'm going to refresh this
- 24:20since we are on the final day.
- 24:26Um, Heidi says to Jay Birch,
- 24:27wouldn't it be better just
- 24:28to get a new job?
- 24:30Um, yeah,
- 24:32it depends on how many years you
- 24:33have and how close you are to retirement.
- 24:35Those are the things that I
- 24:36had to look for.
- 24:38Uh,
- 24:41uh denise my husband had
- 24:42back surgery february tenth
- 24:44and I've been working from
- 24:45home to be his caregiver
- 24:47yeah we're not even in for
- 24:49my job if they find out
- 24:50you're a caregiver you are
- 24:53not allowed to work from
- 24:54home you actually have to
- 24:55take fmla or be off for
- 24:58that um thank goodness when
- 25:01my wife had knee surgery my
- 25:03boss was like listen
- 25:06You're not going to need to
- 25:07take care of her twenty four seven.
- 25:09Just kind of tell me when
- 25:10you need to do stuff and
- 25:13take leave just on the
- 25:14times you need to do that.
- 25:16And he was super cool with
- 25:17me and kind of like under
- 25:18the table allowed me to to
- 25:20get away with that.
- 25:21So.
- 25:23Yeah.
- 25:25They're really strict here
- 25:26about that stuff, and I don't know.
- 25:28I don't know why.
- 25:30They're so not friendly, so.
- 25:33We look at the leaderboard
- 25:36as it stands right now.
- 25:38Miriam Von Rohrer, as predicted,
- 25:42is sitting in first already with a .
- 25:48So she won the first week.
- 25:50There's a lot predicted that
- 25:50she would pull the double.
- 25:53Right now,
- 25:53she's sitting at four eighteen
- 25:54with a gosh,
- 25:56what a twelve second lead
- 25:57over Anika Greer at four twenty nine.
- 26:01Fisa Goffey, four thirty.
- 26:03Daniel Brandon, four thirty five.
- 26:05Maddie Sturt, four thirty six.
- 26:07Claudia Gluck, four thirty seven.
- 26:09And those are tight.
- 26:10Alex Kazan, four forty one.
- 26:14Andrea Solberg, four forty two.
- 26:17And then you can see Lucy
- 26:17McGonigal and Rebecca Fuseli,
- 26:20Lucy Campbell, Marissa Flowers,
- 26:23Ariel Lowen, Alexis Raptus.
- 26:31Spiegel, Wells, Kristen Holta,
- 26:35Kyra Milligan,
- 26:36Sarah Sigmundsdottir having
- 26:39a pretty good performance
- 26:40this year in the open.
- 26:44Elena Caratalla, Trista Smith,
- 26:49Sydney Wells, Olivia Kerstetter,
- 26:52Christine Best, Emily Rolfe,
- 26:53Alison Scuds.
- 26:56Shelby Neal, Caitlin Sanders, Amy Kringle.
- 27:01So that is your top fifty
- 27:06with highlighting some of
- 27:07the women on the women on
- 27:12twenty five point two.
- 27:14So then we look at the men
- 27:15and this is where things
- 27:16get a little bit.
- 27:19Oh, they've already they've removed them.
- 27:21So there was a two minutes
- 27:24and eighteen second person.
- 27:26And in the time since we've
- 27:27started the show, that has been removed.
- 27:31So Austin Hatfield now sits
- 27:33in first with a four sixteen.
- 27:36Jace Peck with a four
- 27:37eighteen and Colin Bossard
- 27:39with a four nineteen.
- 27:41Then it's a jump to Jeff
- 27:42Adler at four twenty six.
- 27:44Tied with William Rios at four twenty six.
- 27:47Kale Lehman, Peter Ellis, Dallin Pepper.
- 27:51Fabian Benito, Jay Crouch, Jonah Koski,
- 27:55Justin Medeiros, Jason Hopper,
- 28:00Ricky Garrard, Harry Lightfoot,
- 28:03Caden Hogan, nineteen-year-old, uh,
- 28:05really having a good open, um,
- 28:10Bruno Marins, uh, Leonel Franco,
- 28:14Sam Cornway, a oldest Supanix,
- 28:19Scott Pancheck,
- 28:20the old man sitting in
- 28:21there with a sub five, a Nola Kai,
- 28:26Seth Stovall, Roman Krennikoff,
- 28:29George Sterner, uh,
- 28:32no MMA guy in the video this week.
- 28:34Such a disappointment.
- 28:37Uh, Ben Fowler, uh,
- 28:39Jack Rosema, Tanner Balazs,
- 28:43William Leahy IV,
- 28:46and Enrico Zanoni round up
- 28:48your top fifty.
- 28:58Um,
- 28:59same for me just doing the kin care
- 29:01hours for when I need to help him.
- 29:03Yeah.
- 29:04I'm glad they're letting you do that.
- 29:05A good two, isn't physically possible.
- 29:08I don't give a damn how fit you are.
- 29:10Yeah.
- 29:11Denise,
- 29:11I'm glad they are looking at those
- 29:13odds scores.
- 29:14Me too.
- 29:14And they're quickly removing them.
- 29:16Like that has never been a thing, uh,
- 29:20in the past that I remember
- 29:22where it went up and down
- 29:24within an hour or two.
- 29:26Um,
- 29:29Denise says the top score in
- 29:30sixty five to sixty nine
- 29:31seems implausible.
- 29:33Well, let's look at that.
- 29:37So if I go age group.
- 29:43Sixty five to sixty nine women.
- 29:48A six oh five.
- 29:50And the next score is ten fourteen.
- 29:53And there sits our Denise
- 29:54and fourth at ten twenty one.
- 29:57Yeah, that that doesn't seem plausible.
- 30:02That there's someone four
- 30:03minutes faster than everybody else.
- 30:08They'd have to be a really, really fit.
- 30:14Really, really fit.
- 30:15Sixty five year old to whip
- 30:18out a six or five.
- 30:20That actually beats Jamie's score.
- 30:22I know if you haven't seen it,
- 30:24it's out on YouTube.
- 30:25You can check it out.
- 30:26I don't see a sixty five
- 30:27year old being as fit as
- 30:28Jamie in a workout like this.
- 30:33But congratulations, Denise,
- 30:34that's a great score.
- 30:42I'm thinking it was their tie break time.
- 30:44That is entirely possible.
- 30:48that's way better than my tie break time.
- 30:50So, so yeah,
- 30:55so that is the leaderboard
- 30:56where we stand today.
- 30:58Um,
- 31:00It's going to be interesting
- 31:01to see how it all plays out.
- 31:02I know everybody's waiting
- 31:03for the Colton Merton score
- 31:05to come in and see if he
- 31:07wins two weeks in a row.
- 31:09I think that is completely possible.
- 31:12But I also think it's just
- 31:13as possible that someone is
- 31:16going to have a hell of a
- 31:17weekend and be able to beat it.
- 31:20There's just too many fit
- 31:21people in the world.
- 31:23um and that's what makes um
- 31:24mirham von rohr so
- 31:26impressive that right now
- 31:27she's sitting in position
- 31:29to win two in a row um I
- 31:32think that is insane and if
- 31:35she pulls it off if colton
- 31:37pulls it off wow that's
- 31:40something then I think the
- 31:42question becomes later in the week
- 31:45Is programming diverse
- 31:46enough to find the fittest to move on?
- 31:50If the same people are
- 31:51winning the workout week after week,
- 31:54have we programmed it right
- 31:56to find the fittest to move forward?
- 32:00And that has been the crux
- 32:02and the issue with the Open for a while.
- 32:04So I will wait and see what
- 32:06happens tonight.
- 32:08But after that,
- 32:09we can talk about are we
- 32:11doing the best to find the
- 32:13right people to move
- 32:15forward on to semifinals?
- 32:17Because taking that
- 32:18quarterfinal step away from the season,
- 32:24I think the Open is more
- 32:25important on who gets to semis.
- 32:29So that is going to be fascinating to see.
- 32:35Well, with that,
- 32:37I do have a one o'clock meeting today.
- 32:40So you hooligans get back to work.
- 32:44This has been lunch with the Clydesdale.
- 32:46We will see you tomorrow.
- 32:49Bye guys.
