- 0:35Speaker 4: I'm good.
- 0:36Speaker 3: I had just so the longest weekend that went by
- 0:39Speaker 3: the fastest. Do you ever just stack your weekend like this? This, this, this,
- 0:43Speaker 3: this all day Saturday, all day Sunday. And I just
- 0:45Speaker 3: sat in my seat here and I was like, were
- 0:47Speaker 3: we just here? When are we just eating popcorn from
- 0:49Speaker 3: Galaxy Theaters?
- 0:51Speaker 2: And it's just said something crazy to me, She goes,
- 0:52Speaker 2: I don't have a free day until May thirty. First.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Yeah, one hundred May Somber is like the realest situation
- 0:58Speaker 3: for moms on the place. Yeah, we call it May
- 1:01Speaker 3: Simber because it's just like events, events, events, things going
- 1:05Speaker 3: on into school. Year's Spirit Day, you know, Teacher Appreciation
- 1:08Speaker 3: Week is this week. Bring all the things I'm just
- 1:11Speaker 3: like I overscheduled myself on top of that. I know,
- 1:14Speaker 3: but you used to be able to say no, yeah
- 1:17Speaker 3: I did, But I'm saying yes because it's things for
- 1:20Speaker 3: my family or things for my son. Like none of
- 1:22Speaker 3: this is like my my thing other than we're going
- 1:25Speaker 3: to the Rangers game next weekend. That's my thing. But
- 1:27Speaker 3: it's on Mother's Day, and so I just stacked it all,
- 1:31Speaker 3: stacked it all back to back. We went to NASCAR
- 1:33Speaker 3: yesterday at Texas Motor Speedway.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Oh was that fun?
- 1:37Speaker 3: Really fun? Yeah, but that's a whole day thing too,
- 1:40Speaker 3: and that for my son.
- 1:41Speaker 2: So it could be like me start saying no more,
- 1:44Speaker 2: like no, I can't do it.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Well, I excited this morning as I was looking for
- 1:48Speaker 3: my snacks and like you know, in a frenzy trying
- 1:50Speaker 3: to get out of the house on time in the dark.
- 1:52Speaker 3: That starting May thirty first, no June, nothing's happening. My
- 1:56Speaker 3: birthday is the last day of June. So nothing's happening
- 1:58Speaker 3: until my birthday unless anyone wants to do anything. Yeah,
- 2:02Speaker 3: so show.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Field trips, can we do a show field trip?
- 2:05Speaker 3: Well, squeeze one in, but they'll be last minute. If
- 2:07Speaker 3: I'm in the mood. We'll do it.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I like that, Yeah, I like. I like spontaneous though. Yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 2: so that's good, but I know everyone can't be spontaneous.
- 2:16Speaker 2: It's talking. You got kids and.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Family, a good mix of planning and spontaneous.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah that's true. Well good, I'm glad you had
- 2:22Speaker 2: a good weekend. Everything was fun.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure who was here. He's in a frenzy today.
- 2:27Speaker 2: What is going on? I know, Poo is so all
- 2:30Speaker 2: over the place this morning. He's making me. He's making
- 2:33Speaker 2: me anxious.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Well because the phones are tripping and I'm trying to
- 2:36Speaker 5: get a hold on those.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Yeah, the door here was tripping.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah, the request lines. You're talking about the request of
- 2:41Speaker 2: the request lines, but I can't.
- 2:43Speaker 6: Uh.
- 2:44Speaker 5: Usually when I get here, I check them out, make
- 2:46Speaker 5: sure they work.
- 2:47Speaker 2: They worked.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Hello, Okay, continue on.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Well, right before the show started, my computer restarts.
- 2:55Speaker 1: And everything, and I'm like, what's going on? It never
- 2:57Speaker 1: has done that?
- 2:58Speaker 5: Yeah, so it blacked everything out up and kick back on.
- 3:02Speaker 5: I test the phones again. Then I can't hear anything.
- 3:04Speaker 5: So I'm like, so I'm like all over the place.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Yeah I can tell it. Yeah, it's making me nervous.
- 3:09Speaker 2: You gotta be like a duck. Be like a duck.
- 3:11Speaker 2: What does a duck do? A duck on the surface
- 3:14Speaker 2: looks calm and everything's fine. Underwater, his legs, Like, you
- 3:19Speaker 2: gotta start looking calm on the surface.
- 3:21Speaker 3: We can see his legs.
- 3:25Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 3:27Speaker 7: It's Top Stories on the Tents with Billy the Kid
- 3:30Speaker 7: in the.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Morning only on the New Mixed one or.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Two point nine, right and early on a Monday morning.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Candice Lopez, What is going on in our world?
- 3:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well, some serious news out of forty ISD. They're
- 3:40Speaker 3: part of a multi agency investigation stemming from misconduct allegations
- 3:44Speaker 3: at Crosby Elementary School. So the principal, a teacher, and
- 3:48Speaker 3: a number of teachers aides were let go and will
- 3:51Speaker 3: not be returning. That's according to the district. They're saying.
- 3:54Speaker 3: The teacher in question was hired back in October under
- 3:57Speaker 3: a name with a clean background check, but they later
- 4:00Speaker 3: learned that he actually had legally changed his name before
- 4:04Speaker 3: being hired by forty ISD. But he was facing charges
- 4:08Speaker 3: under his previous name, and I guess he was acquitted
- 4:12Speaker 3: in that case. But there are parents saying that that's
- 4:14Speaker 3: because the child involved was nonverbal, and that that family
- 4:18Speaker 3: later moved away and never testified. But this is all
- 4:21Speaker 3: under investigation by Forty police, CPS, and the state. They
- 4:26Speaker 3: haven't released specific details, but the families involved have been
- 4:30Speaker 3: contacted directly about this misconduct. But I'm hearing it could
- 4:33Speaker 3: be up to nine students that were involved in this.
- 4:36Speaker 3: I believe it was a first grade, a special education teacher,
- 4:40Speaker 3: but there were aids, and they're saying other staff who
- 4:43Speaker 3: witnessed this misconduct and didn't report it immediately and that's
- 4:46Speaker 3: why they were removed from their positions at the school.
- 4:49Speaker 7: Sure.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Wait, so this guy got through the system by changing
- 4:52Speaker 2: his name correct and then was doing misconduct.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Yes, so we don't know what type, but yeah, so
- 5:00Speaker 3: so the way that he was able to kind of
- 5:02Speaker 3: slip through the cracks in all of this, I mean
- 5:04Speaker 3: huge red flags. Yeah, for the principal, teacher, teacher's aids,
- 5:07Speaker 3: a number of you know staff at this elementary school
- 5:10Speaker 3: to just be removed immediately like that, I mean, it's
- 5:13Speaker 3: pretty serious. So yeah, just thinking about everyone in forty
- 5:16Speaker 3: because that's got to be tough for families, tough for
- 5:18Speaker 3: you know, students at that school.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, and special education teacher.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it's awful.
- 5:24Speaker 2: What is going on?
- 5:25Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, So I'll keep you posted if there's any updates.
- 5:29Speaker 3: And we should talk about Spirit Airlines guys shutting down
- 5:32Speaker 3: Saturday morning and abruptly canceling service. Seventeen thousand workers lost
- 5:37Speaker 3: their jobs. They left travelers stranded. You know, as of
- 5:41Speaker 3: May twenty twenty four, I guess they operated just over
- 5:44Speaker 3: three thousand, three percent of the domestic flights, and this
- 5:48Speaker 3: month that number would have been around one percent. But
- 5:51Speaker 3: there's all these movements online to save Spirit Airlines.
- 5:55Speaker 2: You don't really want that, listen. I don't want anyone
- 5:59Speaker 2: to lose their job. Oh, I really don't. Then again,
- 6:02Speaker 2: I've flown Spirit once and I had the worst airline
- 6:05Speaker 2: experience of my entire life. Right, literally canceled, craz can't
- 6:10Speaker 2: My flight was canceled for no reason. No, not only
- 6:13Speaker 2: First of all, it was left early, right, then it
- 6:15Speaker 2: was canceled. Then the next day was canceled, and I
- 6:20Speaker 2: dealt with the rudest people I've ever dealt with my
- 6:22Speaker 2: entire in my entire life. So do I want to
- 6:25Speaker 2: see people lose their jobs?
- 6:26Speaker 4: No?
- 6:26Speaker 2: But is this just or is this just capitalism at play?
- 6:29Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:30Speaker 2: You know where. I'm sorry, but the best businesses and
- 6:32Speaker 2: the worst businesses are going to sort themselves out.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Does the government need to come in and save everybody
- 6:37Speaker 2: all the time? I don't know.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean this was kind of a joke to
- 6:41Speaker 3: save Spirit online. But there's a website let's buy Spirit
- 6:45Speaker 3: air dot com and it says, you know, this website
- 6:47Speaker 3: crashed because how many people went you know, and made
- 6:49Speaker 3: pledges that they can't even take donations. At the moment,
- 6:52Speaker 3: I can't tell this is still a joke, but they're
- 6:55Speaker 3: they're claiming there have been over eighty eight million dollars
- 6:58Speaker 3: pledged already by a one hundred and twenty four thousand people.
- 7:02Speaker 3: But it has been nice to see some of the
- 7:04Speaker 3: other airlines, you know, stepping up to help these customers
- 7:07Speaker 3: of Spirit that were stranded. And then I think Southwest
- 7:10Speaker 3: actually they Spirit had a guy who was retiring from
- 7:13Speaker 3: their airline and he ended up taking a Southwest flight
- 7:16Speaker 3: and so they did the whole retirement ceremony for him
- 7:19Speaker 3: and had like the water thing that they do, you know,
- 7:22Speaker 3: once day landed, but they really treated him like he was,
- 7:25Speaker 3: you know, retiring from Southwest.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I feel bad for the employees. Don't
- 7:29Speaker 2: get me wrong, the Spirit employees who lost their job,
- 7:31Speaker 2: and the pilots and every I do. Yeah, it's so,
- 7:33Speaker 2: it's not funny. But my friend the first time he's
- 7:37Speaker 2: flown Spirit this weekend, the first time ever. He literally
- 7:43Speaker 2: is stuck in New Orleans now because can you imagine
- 7:47Speaker 2: you're somewhere and all of a sudden, you say your
- 7:50Speaker 2: ticket's going to be refunded. We don't exist anymore, right,
- 7:53Speaker 2: He's like, what do you mean?
- 7:54Speaker 3: Figure it out?
- 7:54Speaker 2: You don't exist. He's never flown it before.
- 7:57Speaker 3: That's insane.
- 7:58Speaker 2: And our friend who the same reason, our friendship chip Al,
- 8:04Speaker 2: He's the one who got me to fly Spirit. Dude,
- 8:07Speaker 2: come on, man, it's cheap, it doesn't matter. Get on, Yeah,
- 8:10Speaker 2: it's fine, who cares. I've never had a problem. He
- 8:13Speaker 2: like works for Spirit lok. Yeah, he's the one who
- 8:16Speaker 2: convinced our buddy to do. And guess what now he's
- 8:18Speaker 2: driving back from New Orleans. Did you see what they
- 8:20Speaker 2: did in a df let the Spirit get in DFW. No,
- 8:23Speaker 2: they already made it a Spirit Halloween store.
- 8:27Speaker 3: I did see the meme of the plane though outfitted
- 8:30Speaker 3: in the Spirit. That's awful. It's hilarious, but real quick, guys.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Sources are saying Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitz could be
- 8:39Speaker 3: planning two weddings, possibly in London and one in New York.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Our dad, you know, Lenny Kravitz, lives in New York.
- 8:46Speaker 3: But this is all happening really fast because I don't
- 8:48Speaker 3: even think we knew they were even dating until August
- 8:51Speaker 3: of last year. Yeah, unless they kept it super.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Low key annoint I woke up and I saw this.
- 8:56Speaker 2: I was maybe I'm just a little bit crabby. I'm
- 8:58Speaker 2: a snap out of it this coffee. But two weddings
- 9:01Speaker 2: annoyed me. Not why one wedding annoys me? What do
- 9:05Speaker 2: you need two weddings for?
- 9:07Speaker 3: Well, I guess for like his people. You know he
- 9:09Speaker 3: wants a British wedding maybe and she wants, you know,
- 9:11Speaker 3: an American New York Go there. You'll have enough money,
- 9:14Speaker 3: though I don't understand why we would do that.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Don't just have one wedding and fly your people out
- 9:18Speaker 2: to see you. I hope you have two divorces that
- 9:23Speaker 2: I plan on having two divorces. If you're gonna have
- 9:25Speaker 2: two weddings, have two divorces, you gonna go to both weddings.
- 9:28Speaker 2: I don't go to one.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Yeah, because if I'm in New York, I'm like, no,
- 9:31Speaker 3: I want to travel to London. But then London is
- 9:33Speaker 3: probably like, oh, no, I want to travel to New York. Yeah,
- 9:36Speaker 3: gonna be like everyone from the other city. Probably.
- 9:38Speaker 2: It must be nice to be so rich to have
- 9:40Speaker 2: two weddings. We can barely afford one. Yeah, amen, gas
- 9:43Speaker 2: price is so high you want me to fly to
- 9:45Speaker 2: the UK on spirit to see you? Come on super
- 9:50Speaker 2: mad today?
- 9:51Speaker 3: I don't. Can't just love that? Those are your Texas
- 9:53Speaker 3: Top stories Mix one or two point nine.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Somebody just tell me good news.
- 9:57Speaker 3: We have some good news for.
- 9:58Speaker 2: You, okay, And if you're listening, shall we do fake news?
- 10:01Speaker 7: Can?

- 10:12Speaker 2: him us pranking in with the tequila went viral. I
- 10:16Speaker 2: love it.
- 10:16Speaker 3: I cannot believe.
- 10:18Speaker 2: So if you haven't seen it, Pooh, well, we told
- 10:20Speaker 2: them that it was one shot of tequila, two shots
- 10:23Speaker 2: of water and don't make a face, and we'll try
- 10:26Speaker 2: to guess which one. And he did it. Of course,
- 10:28Speaker 2: all three shots were tequila. It went viral online and
- 10:33Speaker 2: I am dying at some of the comments. It's at
- 10:36Speaker 2: Mix one or two nine FM. You gotta go see it.
- 10:38Speaker 2: And you know what mixes Instagram is so close to

- 11:05Speaker 2: It is it's not fun to work with. Oh okay,
- 11:11Speaker 2: let's go reel or fake news. I'm gonna give you
- 11:14Speaker 2: three headlines. I gotta tell me which one is the
- 11:16Speaker 2: fake story and our news is ridiculous, So here we go.
- 11:19Speaker 2: First headline, Zebra escapes from Zoo turns out to be
- 11:24Speaker 2: just a donkey painted with white stripes. Zebra Escapes from
- 11:30Speaker 2: Zoo turns out to be just a donkey painted with
- 11:33Speaker 2: white stripes. Headline number two, A Texas ice cream shop
- 11:37Speaker 2: is serving crawfish flavored ice cream with an actual crawfish
- 11:42Speaker 2: on top. A Texas ice cream shop is serving crawfish
- 11:46Speaker 2: flavored ice cream with an actual crawfish on top. Headline
- 11:50Speaker 2: number two. Headline number three, Florida man arrested after trying
- 11:53Speaker 2: to trade his wife to a bass Pro Shops employee.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Florida man and arrested after trying to trade his wife
- 12:02Speaker 2: to a bass Pro Shops employee. Doesn't say what he
- 12:06Speaker 2: was trading for.
- 12:08Speaker 3: He was trying to radio on his own.
- 12:09Speaker 2: He was doing tradio radio, which we're doing at eight
- 12:11Speaker 2: thirty if our phones work, because we got nidos and
- 12:13Speaker 2: mystery dumplings to trade, So figure out what you want
- 12:16Speaker 2: to trade. Not your wife though, No, sorry, we don't
- 12:20Speaker 2: need that. No, all right? Uh oh, this is tough today.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Which one is the fake? Headline? Candice Lopez? Would you
- 12:27Speaker 2: like to go first? Would you like to pass it
- 12:28Speaker 2: to Sweaty Lapoo Poo today?
- 12:31Speaker 3: I think I'll go first today. This is really hard.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Lock me in for that second story, the crawfish ice cream.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Yeah, because doesn't that sound just disgusting? Yeah, alright, let's
- 12:41Speaker 2: lock it in. It is officially locked in. Okay, producer pooh,
- 12:45Speaker 2: you're sweating over there. You've had a lot of technical difficulties,
- 12:48Speaker 2: also because I think you're just sweaty in general. Some
- 12:53Speaker 2: people just sweat It's okay today it is. It's muggy
- 12:57Speaker 2: producer poo. Which one do you think is the fake story?
- 12:59Speaker 1: Lock me in? For that last story, the guy trying
- 13:02Speaker 1: to trade his wife.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Let's catch it all right, let's lock that and you
- 13:04Speaker 2: sure you want to lock down in?
- 13:05Speaker 1: Yeah, he ain't nobody trying to trade his wife like this.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Lock it in.
- 13:09Speaker 2: It is locked in, and the winner today starting off
- 13:12Speaker 2: his week with a win. It's producer Pooh, oh my god.
- 13:19Speaker 2: He's not winning here, but not winning behind the scenes.
- 13:24Speaker 2: But real or fake news, he's winning. Congratulations poo. Yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 2: so that story is a fake. It had me fooled though.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I saw this story and I'm like, what is this
- 13:34Speaker 2: guy doing? And it looked like a whole entire story
- 13:37Speaker 2: that was written up where this guy had a contract
- 13:39Speaker 2: he brought his wife in trying to trade her for
- 13:41Speaker 2: a bass boat, and I was like, what is going on?
- 13:44Speaker 2: And then I finally realized it was fake. But it
- 13:46Speaker 2: had me for a minute. Wow, I'd do some serious
- 13:48Speaker 2: investigating games all right. Yeah, this story the one of
- 13:53Speaker 2: the real stories a Texas ice cream shop is serving
- 13:56Speaker 2: crawfish flavored ice cream. Is a real story. This is
- 14:00Speaker 2: just oh man, I don't get it. Yeah, Texas ice
- 14:03Speaker 2: cream shop is going viral for serving crawfish flavored ice cream,
- 14:05Speaker 2: one of the most unusual food trends right now. The
- 14:07Speaker 2: dessert blends sweet ice cream with buttery garlicky Cajun seasoning
- 14:12Speaker 2: inspired by a traditional crawfish boil, creating a mix of sweet, salty,
- 14:16Speaker 2: and spicy flavors. The shop tops each scoop with a
- 14:20Speaker 2: whole crawfish, and customers are even encouraged to use the
- 14:24Speaker 2: shell as a spoon.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Oh.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Despite how bizarre it sounds, the flavor has become a
- 14:28Speaker 2: fan favorite During crawfish season. It often sells out WOA
- 14:33Speaker 2: due to high demand the places in Houston. I looked
- 14:35Speaker 2: it up. It's called Red Circle, Red Circle ice Cream Shop.
- 14:38Speaker 2: So if you're down there and you want to throw
- 14:40Speaker 2: up there you go. I like crawfish too.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Yeah too, well, since I had it, but I remember
- 14:45Speaker 3: liking them.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I was just thinking about that. I'm like, you know what,
- 14:48Speaker 2: I know everything about Cannis, but I don't know if
- 14:50Speaker 2: you like crawfish.
- 14:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:51Speaker 3: I went to one crawfish boil back in college. Yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 3: my friend Audre her dad used to do it. It's good. Yeah,
- 14:58Speaker 3: I remember it being good.
- 14:59Speaker 2: But our remember I need to take you right up
- 15:01Speaker 2: the street. One of the best places right here.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Nates, Yes, Nates Seafood. Oh it sounds good.
- 15:08Speaker 2: I used to go there back in the day. I
- 15:09Speaker 2: don't know if he's still around, but I love that guy, Nate.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Nate would get blasted in his bar. He did something
- 15:16Speaker 2: that was so smart. I saw. I witnessed this first hand.
- 15:19Speaker 2: He got drunk at his own bar, right and I'm like, oh,
- 15:22Speaker 2: he can't drive, and he's like, no, I can't drive.
- 15:24Speaker 2: He called Triple A to say his car was broke
- 15:26Speaker 2: down and had it towed to his house so it
- 15:31Speaker 2: would be there when he woke up. I was like, Wow,
- 15:37Speaker 2: smart life, right exactly. Okay. Next story, zebra escapes from
- 15:42Speaker 2: zoo turns out to be a donkey painted with white stripes.
- 15:46Speaker 2: What so this happened in Armenia, Yeah, Monday morning, I
- 15:50Speaker 2: guess it was some morning. Everybody woke up and they
- 15:52Speaker 2: were like, wait, was Zebra's escaped the city zoo? It
- 15:54Speaker 2: was roaming around one of the Capitol's busiest streets. Police
- 15:57Speaker 2: and emergency services were dispatched. They're trying to figure out
- 16:00Speaker 2: what's going on. The zebra was quickly corralled and tied
- 16:03Speaker 2: up by zoo's staff and bystanders. Only one problem. It
- 16:08Speaker 2: wasn't a zebra. It was a donkey that somebody had
- 16:11Speaker 2: painted with black and white stripes, and they took it
- 16:15Speaker 2: to the zoo. Outside of the zoo and people were
- 16:19Speaker 2: taking pictures with it. They were charging people to take
- 16:22Speaker 2: pictures with the donkey that was painted like a zebra
- 16:26Speaker 2: and actually making money and people didn't even know. I
- 16:29Speaker 2: think I would know, yeah, I mean for sure? Or
- 16:32Speaker 2: would I Then again, I don't know. I didn't see
- 16:33Speaker 2: a real life cow until I was like twenty one.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I a point, would I know?
- 16:38Speaker 3: Yeah, if somebody would know.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I mean, donkeys aren't Donkeys and zebras are pretty much
- 16:42Speaker 2: the same right now.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Don't ra have like the nice hair?
- 16:45Speaker 5: No, I don't think they have nice Donkeys make the
- 16:48Speaker 5: awesome I mean you excuse me.
- 16:50Speaker 1: You know when a donkey makes this a little noise?
- 16:52Speaker 3: Yeah, zebra is yeah, what does.
- 16:54Speaker 2: A zebra sound like?
- 16:56Speaker 5: Zebra just does a like a like a It sounds
- 16:59Speaker 5: like it's in his throat, like, look it up?
- 17:02Speaker 3: It really? Yeah, I've only seen them a Disney World.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Should we do guess that animal sound with pooh?
- 17:09Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 17:10Speaker 2: Okay? What does zebra sound like like?
- 17:13Speaker 1: It does like a gar?
- 17:14Speaker 2: It sounds like it's garden zebra bird?
- 17:16Speaker 1: No, it just it just does like a weird gurgles sound.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Is it bird man?
- 17:19Speaker 1: No?
- 17:21Speaker 2: Okay? So what is a donkey sounding?
- 17:23Speaker 7: Pop? You know?
- 17:30Speaker 2: Okay? Yeah, all right? When I see zebra, you do zebra.
- 17:33Speaker 2: When I say donkey, do donkey? Okay, zebra donkey. I
- 17:40Speaker 2: don't ever want to hear anybody saying, whooh, isn't talented?
- 17:44Speaker 7: Okay, it's tas top stories on the Tents with Billy
- 17:48Speaker 7: the Kid in the morning.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Only on the new Mixed one or two point nine.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Dirty Little Secret coming up next. Get ready for that.
- 17:54Speaker 2: It's an emotional one too. You just wait to hear this.
- 17:57Speaker 2: I haven't heard the full story. I don't like hearing
- 17:59Speaker 2: the full store kind of know what's going on a
- 18:01Speaker 2: little bit. Yeah, this woman is going through it with
- 18:05Speaker 2: her husband. That's all also going through it. So Candice,
- 18:09Speaker 2: what's going on?
- 18:09Speaker 3: Well, the votes were counted and this weekend's election. Dart
- 18:12Speaker 3: services will be coming to an end in Highland Park
- 18:15Speaker 3: this month, but will continue in Addison and University Park.
- 18:19Speaker 3: So they had elections over the weekend because of the
- 18:22Speaker 3: City of Plano. So they first announced their intention to
- 18:25Speaker 3: leave this alliance, saying it's tax contributions weren't worth the
- 18:28Speaker 3: benefits to residents. Well Plano Farmers Branch in Irving then
- 18:32Speaker 3: had you know, initially planned elections and then cancel them
- 18:35Speaker 3: after they negotiated their agreements. So buses will continue to
- 18:39Speaker 3: operate through Highland Park, but will not stop within those
- 18:42Speaker 3: city limits. That is expected to take effect May fifteenth.
- 18:46Speaker 2: What. Yeah, so you can't get the bus in Highland Park.
- 18:49Speaker 3: No, not as of May fifteenth. Yeah, it's gonna go away.
- 18:52Speaker 2: So what if I work somewhere in Highland Park.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Yeah, well you gotta figure it out. Yeah, you're gonna
- 18:57Speaker 3: have to go past Highland Park and then come around
- 19:00Speaker 3: some other way to take a car. I don't know
- 19:01Speaker 3: how they don't.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Want to work for people, They don't want the buses
- 19:04Speaker 2: in Highland Park. No, yeah, yeah, okay.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a it's been a hot topic for I
- 19:11Speaker 3: mean pretty much all year. I know the CEO. There
- 19:14Speaker 3: was a change there with Dart, but we just had,
- 19:17Speaker 3: you know, the new Silver line being built up in
- 19:19Speaker 3: Plano and Richardson area, which is beautiful. Yeah. So it's
- 19:23Speaker 3: you know, city by city Okay.
- 19:26Speaker 2: You know, no, you could do that.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:28Speaker 2: So I live in Carrollton. We could put something on
- 19:30Speaker 2: the books to vote if we don't want buses in
- 19:32Speaker 2: our city.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Yeah, well, the Dart service.
- 19:35Speaker 2: The Dart service, right, Okay, so.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Maybe there's another option that they're going to come up with.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Maybe you just can't stop there.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Yeah, so is it too too poor for Richard Well,
- 19:46Speaker 2: I just I just don't like the sight of a bus.
- 19:50Speaker 2: A bus is just just grody. It just looks so
- 19:55Speaker 2: I don't know, it's just so big and it's it's
- 19:57Speaker 2: not even a Mercedes, Like you're just going to drive
- 20:01Speaker 2: this bus through our city.
- 20:04Speaker 7: I mean, it's.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Paying for the taxes for the service. And then maybe
- 20:07Speaker 3: the residents aren't using it. Maybe that's part of the issue.
- 20:10Speaker 3: But I don't live at Highland Park.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Eh. Anyways, Cannu, let's talk.
- 20:17Speaker 3: About McDonald's guys. They are quietly getting rid of their
- 20:20Speaker 3: self serve soda fountains. So this plan is to completely
- 20:24Speaker 3: get rid of them. By twenty thirty two, they would
- 20:26Speaker 3: be only behind the counter. They're saying this would help
- 20:30Speaker 3: modernize restaurants, reduce maintenance and labor demands, and also really
- 20:34Speaker 3: adapt to the demand for drive through delivery and takeout. So, yeah,
- 20:38Speaker 3: which one do you want?
- 20:39Speaker 2: Do you want us to have people there or no?
- 20:41Speaker 2: Because how am I going to get a drink freefill?
- 20:43Speaker 6: Right?
- 20:43Speaker 3: I'm confused too because my McDonald's has like the you know,
- 20:46Speaker 3: self serve chiosk, Right, So did I have to wait
- 20:49Speaker 3: to talk to somebody exactly?
- 20:51Speaker 2: Which to guess what? Nobody comes to the front now
- 20:53Speaker 2: if you have self service, So now I gotta wait,
- 20:56Speaker 2: Just let me get my soda?
- 20:57Speaker 3: Right? Well, yeah, they're saying this would all still give
- 21:00Speaker 3: them more control over portion sizes, cleanliness, and inventory. So yeah,
- 21:05Speaker 3: you can't take your water cup and just sneak sho.
- 21:07Speaker 2: No, I've done that my entire life. I've taken literally
- 21:10Speaker 2: I don't know how McDonald's keeps the lights on because
- 21:13Speaker 2: I've stole so much sprite. No I haven't. I just kidding.
- 21:18Speaker 2: They just actually Highland Park just announced that they kicked
- 21:21Speaker 2: all McDonald's out of the city. They just voted there's
- 21:24Speaker 2: no more McDonald's in Highland Park.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Well, McDonald's also launching six new drinks this week at
- 21:29Speaker 3: some of their locations, so they're getting in on like
- 21:31Speaker 3: the dirty soda trend, so with these refreshers and crafted sodas,
- 21:35Speaker 3: So maybe they're hoping that's more your jam. Moving forward,
- 21:38Speaker 3: real quick, guys, post Malone canceled the start of his tour.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Six shows were part of this, including his shows in Texas.
- 21:46Speaker 3: That tour will now kick off June twelfth in Indianapolis.
- 21:49Speaker 3: So post Malone saying he needs more time to finish
- 21:52Speaker 3: his double album before this tour starts. And you know,
- 21:55Speaker 3: people are saying this could have something to do with
- 21:57Speaker 3: low ticket sales. I know some of the show those
- 22:00Speaker 3: were offering discounts already for those tickets.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Well yeah, it also could have something to do with
- 22:06Speaker 2: the fact that life is really expensive right now. Yeah,
- 22:09Speaker 2: and people don't have disposable income for an expensive concert ticket.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I love post No, I do too.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I was really hoping to go down to Waco to
- 22:16Speaker 3: see him, but that show was on a weeknight also,
- 22:19Speaker 3: I know, and it's like, I mean, Waco people would go,
- 22:22Speaker 3: but people from DyF Tooby are going to drive to
- 22:23Speaker 3: Waco on a weeknight.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I can't school. So no, I think it's a couple
- 22:28Speaker 2: of factors. I mean, I think people want to see posts,
- 22:29Speaker 2: but oh yeah, it's expensive, it's in Waco.
- 22:32Speaker 3: It's the same tour.
- 22:33Speaker 2: It's the same tour as went around before. So I
- 22:36Speaker 2: don't think it's a bad thing if you take some
- 22:37Speaker 2: time off.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Yeah, he posted those saying, you know, he promises that
- 22:40Speaker 3: new music. He's promised it doesn't have time to finish it.
- 22:43Speaker 3: He's just not ready to tour. So if he pushes
- 22:45Speaker 3: it back three weeks, that'll help get the music done.
- 22:47Speaker 3: So yeah, I'm Canda slow Pez. Those are your Texas
- 22:50Speaker 3: top stories on.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Get it off your test to promise you'll feel better.
- 22:55Speaker 7: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret.
- 22:57Speaker 2: It makes one of two point nine appealing a kid
- 22:59Speaker 2: candaelom pess Ter food. Don't forget we're doing at eight thirty.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I still have it down that we're doing tradio radio.
- 23:03Speaker 2: I don't care what kind of obstacle we face with
- 23:06Speaker 2: these requests lines. We're gonna make it happen, don't you worry. Yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 2: we have nidos and mystery dumplings to give away which
- 23:11Speaker 2: people are standing the line for hours and hours for it.
- 23:14Speaker 3: They're going on it's crazy.
- 23:15Speaker 2: They going on sale for hundreds of dollars online. Yeah,
- 23:18Speaker 2: it's crazy. These toys everybody wants. We got them. We're
- 23:20Speaker 2: going to do it all week, eight thirty Tradio Radio.
- 23:22Speaker 2: So figure out something you want to trade. Okay, now,
- 23:24Speaker 2: dirty little secrets. Whatever your secret is, you can confess
- 23:27Speaker 2: at eight three three seven eight seven one O two
- 23:29Speaker 2: nine or right now, it's probably best to go to
- 23:32Speaker 2: at MIXWEO two nine FM on Instagram and we could
- 23:34Speaker 2: set it up there because our request lines are down,
- 23:37Speaker 2: but they're being rebuilt by Brad. Who Brad is I
- 23:40Speaker 2: don't know, but he's in our computer. Pooh set. Got
- 23:42Speaker 2: this brat who has never sweated so hard in his life.
- 23:45Speaker 2: He's running around I deserve he deserves Chipotle today, Yeah,
- 23:49Speaker 2: or maybe another shot at tequila. I don't know, but
- 23:52Speaker 2: all right, you got a secret, you let us know,
- 23:54Speaker 2: and you have one. What's going on?
- 23:56Speaker 6: I do? I've been going back and forth on calling
- 23:59Speaker 6: you guys, but I really don't have anyone to talk
- 24:01Speaker 6: to about this.
- 24:01Speaker 2: So well, what we're here for. It's a non judgment zone.
- 24:05Speaker 2: What is going on in your world.
- 24:07Speaker 6: Well, I've been married, and we've only been married a
- 24:09Speaker 6: couple of years, so it's still pretty new. And from
- 24:14Speaker 6: the beginning of we both wanted the same thing, like
- 24:16Speaker 6: a family with kids, you know, a big house full
- 24:18Speaker 6: of noise, and that was all always a part of
- 24:21Speaker 6: the plan for both of us. And because it hadn't
- 24:24Speaker 6: worked out that way, we've been trying and trying and trying,
- 24:29Speaker 6: and nothing has happened. And at first I thought it
- 24:33Speaker 6: was me, so I got tested and I went through
- 24:35Speaker 6: all the emotions, like something's wrong with my body. I'm
- 24:38Speaker 6: like broken, I'm something's not happening right, And and then
- 24:42Speaker 6: we found out it's not me, it's him.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Oh okay.
- 24:47Speaker 6: And I don't even think he realizes how much that
- 24:49Speaker 6: changed everything for me. And I tried to be supportive
- 24:51Speaker 6: and I love him. I love him so much, and
- 24:54Speaker 6: he's a good man, he's a good husband, and it's
- 24:56Speaker 6: not his fault. But I feel like ever since I
- 24:59Speaker 6: found out, like this big weight on me and I
- 25:01Speaker 6: can't shake it. And I I've always pictured myself as
- 25:04Speaker 6: a mom. I've always wanted kids. I wanted that life
- 25:08Speaker 6: with my husband, to have my kids in my house
- 25:11Speaker 6: and so it's just like this can't happen.
- 25:15Speaker 5: Now.
- 25:15Speaker 2: I know it's a lot of emotions, but and I'm
- 25:19Speaker 2: not saying this is the same, but I know there's
- 25:22Speaker 2: other you know, there's adoption, there's other things that you
- 25:25Speaker 2: could do.
- 25:27Speaker 6: My friends, Yes, I mean we've discussed adoption. I'm not
- 25:30Speaker 6: against it. I'm not. But if I'm being completely honest,
- 25:34Speaker 6: I don't know if I'll feel the same way. Yeah,
- 25:36Speaker 6: And I feel awful saying that, but that's how I feel.
- 25:40Speaker 6: And I can't deny that I feel that way. And
- 25:43Speaker 6: this is a part of like what makes me feel
- 25:45Speaker 6: like I might be the worst wife in the world
- 25:47Speaker 6: or worst person in the world. And I just know
- 25:50Speaker 6: that I know myself and i'd be lying if if,
- 25:53Speaker 6: like if I say this is okay, because like I said,
- 25:56Speaker 6: this has always been my dream and I I have
- 26:00Speaker 6: thought about leaving him, oh and I haven't said it,
- 26:05Speaker 6: and I haven't even come close because I love him
- 26:07Speaker 6: and it's like not his fault, but it's crossed my
- 26:10Speaker 6: mind that maybe I should move on.
- 26:12Speaker 2: But I'm like, hold on, hold on, So you're thinking
- 26:15Speaker 2: about actually leap, okay, And I'm not. It's a non
- 26:18Speaker 2: judgment zone. You're thinking about leaving him over.
- 26:21Speaker 6: This, Well, I do want to have kids of my own,
- 26:25Speaker 6: and I don't know what else to do because I
- 26:28Speaker 6: do love him and I love the life that we're
- 26:30Speaker 6: building together, but it's not working out, and I just
- 26:34Speaker 6: feel like it's flipping away what I wanted.
- 26:36Speaker 2: I mean, is it not working out? Or is this
- 26:40Speaker 2: the plan? The bigger plan that you know? Sometimes you
- 26:43Speaker 2: just can't control these things. And obviously it's not his fault.
- 26:46Speaker 2: I can't tell you what's right or wrong. There's a
- 26:49Speaker 2: difference between going, oh, you know what, I can't. I
- 26:52Speaker 2: can't say this has never crossed my mind and I'm
- 26:56Speaker 2: actually going to do this. Yeah, there's two different things. So,
- 26:59Speaker 2: I mean, I guess it just depends on you. If
- 27:01Speaker 2: you love them. I just feel like there's no way
- 27:03Speaker 2: you can leave them over this.
- 27:05Speaker 6: I don't feel like I can leave them either. But
- 27:07Speaker 6: I'm just like hurting myself, and I'm like, how do
- 27:10Speaker 6: I agree without hurting him? I'm just keeping everything to myself.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Have you two talked about but maybe possibly doing counseling
- 27:16Speaker 2: or something like that together, because this is a big deal.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't hold it inside. But also sharing that
- 27:21Speaker 3: with him is going to just break his heart even worse.
- 27:25Speaker 6: Yeah, I guess we will have to go to counseling
- 27:27Speaker 6: because I don't know what to do from here, because
- 27:29Speaker 6: I'm just questioning everything and feeling like a terrible person.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Because think about it, you leave. Let's say you know
- 27:35Speaker 2: you've thought about it, you leave him, you get with
- 27:37Speaker 2: somebody else, you have kids, you think years down the road,
- 27:42Speaker 2: you're not going to look back and go I mean, yeah,
- 27:44Speaker 2: I'm glad I'm a mom, but I can't believe I
- 27:46Speaker 2: left a man that I love right and love because
- 27:50Speaker 2: of something that he can't control.
- 27:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:53Speaker 2: If this were switched around and it was a man
- 27:55Speaker 2: calling up and saying I'm leaving my wife because she
- 27:57Speaker 2: can't have kids, I think people would be in an uproar. Yeah,
- 28:01Speaker 2: and everybody feels different now that you're saying it, right,
- 28:05Speaker 2: And I don't think you're a bad person. I'm just
- 28:06Speaker 2: saying I would really talk to somebody before you let
- 28:09Speaker 2: that thought get out of control or take over reason.
- 28:12Speaker 3: I mean, to process you'r how you're feeling before you
- 28:15Speaker 3: just jump and make some type of decision that you
- 28:17Speaker 3: can't turn back, you know.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Because he's going through all this too. Yeah, he probably
- 28:22Speaker 2: feels so guilty and emasculated, Like you know.
- 28:26Speaker 6: It's just horrible. I wish that things were different, but
- 28:29Speaker 6: they're not, so I have to just face what we
- 28:31Speaker 6: have going on.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Well, and some people would be, you know, take the
- 28:35Speaker 3: route of this just wasn't meant to be. It wasn't
- 28:38Speaker 3: meant for me to have kids. You know, it's a
- 28:40Speaker 3: tough pill to swallow, it is when you've dreamed of that.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I know so many people, so many people go,
- 28:47Speaker 2: especially women. They feel like their main reason they're here
- 28:52Speaker 2: is to be a mom. So if that can't happen,
- 28:54Speaker 2: I get why you feel like there's a big part
- 28:56Speaker 2: of you missing.
- 28:57Speaker 3: For sure, But you definitely can't. You can't work through
- 29:00Speaker 3: this on your own. I would definitely seek professional help
- 29:04Speaker 3: do that.
- 29:04Speaker 6: Thank you, Thank you so much.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Good luck with everything and let us know what happens
- 29:10Speaker 2: and hang in there.
- 29:10Speaker 6: Okay, okay, thank you so much.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Welcome. I told you, it's deep, Yeah, really deep. I know.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Hopefully they talk to someone. Yeah, that's why I love
- 29:20Speaker 2: dirty little Secretly. You just never know what you're gonna get.
- 29:22Speaker 2: So but I just feel her pain and I feel
- 29:25Speaker 2: his pain. He's gonna get on the phone, you know,
- 29:28Speaker 2: all right, he's doing.
- 29:29Speaker 7: For Cannes's Court. It gets settled here with Billy the
- 29:33Speaker 7: Kid in the morning, Al rise for.
- 29:36Speaker 2: The honible Judge Cannon slow pass in the studio right now.
- 29:38Speaker 2: I'm sorry on the bench. Yeah, as we speak, it's
- 29:41Speaker 2: mixed one or two point nine, all right, Nidos NEOs
- 29:43Speaker 2: Mystery Dumplings on the way. We'll do it at eight thirty.
- 29:46Speaker 2: We're doing it no matter what. Yeah, we're doing it,
- 29:48Speaker 2: whether the request lines are working, whether I have to
- 29:50Speaker 2: do it by messenger pigeon, everybody wants these toys.
- 29:53Speaker 3: We'll do it.
- 29:54Speaker 2: We're doing tradio radio. Figure out something you want to trade?
- 29:56Speaker 2: Get ready? We got to do it on Instagram. If
- 29:58Speaker 2: I gotta go live on the toll way in my underwear, Okay,
- 30:02Speaker 2: that's unnecessary. I didn't do that.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Sorry, I didn't even expect that.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Get down the line somewhere.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you've got an issue. At Candas on air, At
- 30:10Speaker 2: Candas on Air on Instagram. Okay. This year I volunteered
- 30:13Speaker 2: to coach my son's youth soccer team, and all season
- 30:16Speaker 2: I've been careful not to show him any favoritism. He's
- 30:20Speaker 2: a solid player and usually starts, but I've always made
- 30:24Speaker 2: it a point to treat him like any other kid.
- 30:27Speaker 2: We just had a big playoff game and it decided
- 30:29Speaker 2: to bench him for most of it because I didn't
- 30:32Speaker 2: want anyone thinking I was giving him special treatment. We
- 30:35Speaker 2: ended up losing, and he played only for a few minutes.
- 30:40Speaker 2: I could tell he was upset. But my wife is
- 30:42Speaker 2: furious and says I overcorrected to the point where I
- 30:46Speaker 2: actually hurt our son just to prove a point to
- 30:50Speaker 2: other parents. I thought I was doing the right thing
- 30:53Speaker 2: by being extra fair, but now I'm second guessing it.
- 30:57Speaker 2: We're in a big fight about it. Did I go
- 30:59Speaker 2: too far? Question mark? Question mark? Question mark?
- 31:02Speaker 3: Ah?
- 31:03Speaker 2: Oh, okay, So he's the coach, which is never easy. Yeah,
- 31:08Speaker 2: when your kid plays. That's why daddy ball they call it,
- 31:11Speaker 2: because usually the coach's kids sometimes play a little too much.
- 31:15Speaker 2: In this case, he overcorrected and he benched his kid
- 31:20Speaker 2: because he's like, I don't want to show favoritism, so
- 31:22Speaker 2: he benched him, probably more than he should have. Candice,
- 31:25Speaker 2: what are your initial thoughts.
- 31:26Speaker 3: I mean, you benched him for most of a playoff game.
- 31:29Speaker 3: You let alone play for a few minutes. I don't
- 31:31Speaker 3: understand that. You know, now, the kid's upset, the wife's upset.
- 31:36Speaker 3: How is everyone else feeling? Because I just feel like
- 31:39Speaker 3: there's fair and then there's extra fair. And why you
- 31:42Speaker 3: be an extra fair during a playoff game?
- 31:45Speaker 2: Well you're worried about the way you look when all
- 31:47Speaker 2: you have to do is do the right thing right,
- 31:49Speaker 2: no matter how you look, meaning, play it like any
- 31:52Speaker 2: other normal game. Right, play all the kids equally.
- 31:54Speaker 3: If you're always fair, Just continue to be equally as
- 31:57Speaker 3: fair as.
- 31:58Speaker 2: You always are, Like you don't have to sit your
- 31:59Speaker 2: son the bench for the entire game or extra just
- 32:02Speaker 2: to prove a point. Play him as much as you
- 32:05Speaker 2: usually do. You know what if it's if it's little
- 32:08Speaker 2: league or whatever, pee wee play all the kids equally. Yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 2: you just rotate.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Them for sure. I mean we're all here trying to
- 32:14Speaker 3: learn and play and be a team, you know.
- 32:17Speaker 2: I like, yeah, I coached baseball back in the day,
- 32:20Speaker 2: and that's what you did. Everybody got a fair turn.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Oh you sit out this inning, next inning and you
- 32:25Speaker 2: shit out.
- 32:27Speaker 1: No, and that's why y'all lose. No, man, I want
- 32:30Speaker 1: to I should.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Have won championship when I coach. But go ahead, okay, listen.
- 32:35Speaker 5: The problem is nowadays this everybody gets a turn. That's
- 32:39Speaker 5: the problem with like sports. I don't like when I
- 32:42Speaker 5: was growing up, you and you play soccer, football, whatever,
- 32:44Speaker 5: they put the good people in because you want to win.
- 32:48Speaker 2: But we're talking pee wee. We're understand that. But that's
- 32:51Speaker 2: what you mean to tell me in little league or whatever.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Let's say it's baseball, because I never really played soccer. Right,
- 32:56Speaker 2: let's say it's baseball. So if the kid's not that good,
- 32:59Speaker 2: he should just ride then the entire time.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Not just not necessarily ride the bench.
- 33:03Speaker 2: But that's what you're saying. But but here's the deal.
- 33:06Speaker 5: When when you were first doing the like the pool
- 33:08Speaker 5: of getting your players, I pick out the ones I
- 33:11Speaker 5: know they're gonna do something on my team.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I don't want to you don't coach. I coached soccer
- 33:16Speaker 1: one time.
- 33:16Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, I played all the good kids there was
- 33:20Speaker 5: there was what a bad Yeah, I ain't gonna lie
- 33:23Speaker 5: to you.
- 33:24Speaker 1: There's not a bat.
- 33:25Speaker 5: Listen, Nowadays, everybody coddles these kids. Everybody gets to turn
- 33:28Speaker 5: or participation in trophy. I want to win something about well,
- 33:32Speaker 5: we want to win.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Too, but we want our kid to learn and play
- 33:34Speaker 3: and have a good time. Like this is if he's
- 33:36Speaker 3: a volunteer coach. It's not that serious.
- 33:38Speaker 2: It's not that serious. Okay, I wouldn't I wouldn't have
- 33:42Speaker 2: done that. So let me say this. So if you're
- 33:43Speaker 2: coaching soccer and you know, let's say a little timmy
- 33:47Speaker 2: who has two left feet, you know you can barely run,
- 33:51Speaker 2: you're gonna he's gonna be on the bench the entire game.
- 33:53Speaker 5: Not the entire game, maybe like the last few minutes
- 33:56Speaker 5: after we after we done murdered that team.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Yeah, then I put the little it's a playoff game.
- 34:01Speaker 1: I want to win.
- 34:02Speaker 5: Like even listen, listen even choir dude nowadays? Yeah, yes,
- 34:08Speaker 5: because kids nowadays, everybody, everybody just participates.
- 34:13Speaker 2: What about choir? What's okay?
- 34:14Speaker 5: So yeah, but I had the same arguing with my
- 34:18Speaker 5: baby mama, like not only my son in choir because
- 34:21Speaker 5: my son really can't he really can't sing, Like why
- 34:24Speaker 5: are you in choir? Choir is for people who can sing?
- 34:29Speaker 5: Why why try out?
- 34:32Speaker 2: Because that's what being a kid is all about.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Talent.
- 34:34Speaker 2: There's much to me. There's kids that you want to
- 34:37Speaker 2: try things you want to do things. You want to
- 34:39Speaker 2: see what you're passionate about, and that's the point. And
- 34:41Speaker 2: if it's not the best, then this is the time
- 34:43Speaker 2: in life you can mess up and go Okay, if
- 34:45Speaker 2: that wasn't maybe my favorite thing. Or it's also a
- 34:47Speaker 2: time where he learns how to get better and can
- 34:50Speaker 2: sing and capitalize on his vocal talent. Where you can
- 34:53Speaker 2: learn to sing. Okay, how about learn to play before
- 34:56Speaker 2: you try out?
- 34:57Speaker 3: No, your sports team.
- 35:02Speaker 1: That's a life lesson.
- 35:03Speaker 5: Like if I'm good at my job and you're not
- 35:05Speaker 5: good at your job, you ain't gonna get the same job.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Well, you know what I mean. We're not talking about
- 35:09Speaker 2: the job. We're talking about kids learning sports.
- 35:10Speaker 5: I'm saying that that's how that reflects in the future.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Jeez, I'm real competitive.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I want to win. But I'm very competitive as well.
- 35:19Speaker 7: I know.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Yes, but when you're teaching kids, you're teaching it. Yeah,
- 35:23Speaker 2: winning is a part of it, but it's not the
- 35:25Speaker 2: most important part at this age. Yeah right, I mean
- 35:28Speaker 2: there's life skills that you're teaching these kids. It's about
- 35:31Speaker 2: learning how to work as a team.
- 35:32Speaker 3: If we just spend every bench, every kid who doesn't
- 35:35Speaker 3: have the quote unquote talent as a you know who
- 35:37Speaker 3: knows they're probably under ten. You're saying youth sports are
- 35:40Speaker 3: probably under ten. They're gonna be bench their whole life
- 35:42Speaker 3: and never know what they can do.
- 35:43Speaker 2: You're gonna take this kid, and it's little Timmy is
- 35:46Speaker 2: gonna hate soccer now because you don't put them in
- 35:48Speaker 2: until the last thirty seconds of the game.
- 35:50Speaker 5: Well, little Timmy can practice on his own while we're winning.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Oh but if I'm paying you to be on this team,
- 35:56Speaker 3: I need you to teach my kid. I need my
- 35:58Speaker 3: kid to have some experience versus riding the bench all
- 36:01Speaker 3: season because he's not good.
- 36:02Speaker 2: And maybe he does practice and he's just trying to run,
- 36:04Speaker 2: but he's still come on, ye.
- 36:06Speaker 1: I mean when my kids.
- 36:07Speaker 5: Listen, when my kids played football, sometimes they didn't get
- 36:10Speaker 5: they didn't get to start, but they went home to
- 36:13Speaker 5: practice or whatever. Then the coach played them at the
- 36:16Speaker 5: end of the game and I was like, what, coach,
- 36:18Speaker 5: what do we gotta do to you know, to start?
- 36:20Speaker 5: He was like, I just need him to work on this, this,
- 36:22Speaker 5: this and that, and then guess what, he turned it
- 36:24Speaker 5: around the next year he started You see what I'm saying.
- 36:27Speaker 1: And we wont Brendan is good.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I do see, and that's important part of it.
- 36:33Speaker 2: But until the meantime, did you expect him to play
- 36:36Speaker 2: when he wasn't quote unquote good. No, he didn't expect
- 36:39Speaker 2: him to play. No.
- 36:40Speaker 1: I don't get I don't.
- 36:41Speaker 5: I don't deal with that. So his mom was like,
- 36:44Speaker 5: that's not fair. I'm like, no, he needs to work
- 36:46Speaker 5: at his craft, get back there, come back next year.
- 36:48Speaker 5: It's not the NFL. To me, it is no.
- 36:52Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 36:53Speaker 3: I'm just like that sports for so many reasons, not just.
- 36:58Speaker 1: This, but letting everybody get a turn. Okay, yeah when
- 37:01Speaker 1: they're little, well they're little.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, we're not gonna agree. It doesn't matter
- 37:05Speaker 2: what we think. Cannas Court. You you're the judge. Yeah,
- 37:08Speaker 2: you're the only saying one in this room.
- 37:10Speaker 3: That's a totally different topic than we're talking about this
- 37:12Speaker 3: Candis Court. But for for this case, look, I think
- 37:15Speaker 3: this guy was guilty of being a sideline. Sam, Oh,
- 37:19Speaker 3: it can't. It's not fair to let your kid only
- 37:21Speaker 3: play a few minutes. Don't be extra fair. Just be
- 37:24Speaker 3: as fair as you've been all season. You sound like
- 37:26Speaker 3: a reasonable person, and I respect that you're trying to
- 37:28Speaker 3: be fair and make an impression on the other parents.
- 37:31Speaker 3: So let them know that everybody's gonna get to play.
- 37:33Speaker 3: But we lost because of you know, you're being an
- 37:35Speaker 3: extra fair.
- 37:36Speaker 2: I would agree, all right, he's guilty of being a
- 37:39Speaker 2: sideline Sam Benjamin Billy.
- 37:41Speaker 7: That's it's tough. Stories on the tents with Billy the Kid.
- 37:46Speaker 4: In the morning only on the new Mixed one or
- 37:48Speaker 4: two point nine.
- 37:49Speaker 2: You got a lot going on this morning at Nidos
- 37:51Speaker 2: and Mystery Dumplings. Everybody wants those. We're doing them an
- 37:54Speaker 2: eight thirty no matter what. Yeah, we're gonna do a
- 37:56Speaker 2: little tradio radio either way, that don't happen eight to thirty.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Everybody wants these two always people standing in line for hours.
- 38:01Speaker 2: We're doing this all week long, so hook that up.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Candice Lootes, what is going on?
- 38:06Speaker 3: Well, forty ISD is part of a multi agency investigation
- 38:09Speaker 3: stemming from misconduct allegation. So this is happening at Crosby
- 38:13Speaker 3: Elementary School. The principal, a teacher, and a number of teachers'
- 38:17Speaker 3: aides were let go and will not be returning. So
- 38:20Speaker 3: the district is saying that the teacher in question was
- 38:23Speaker 3: hired back in October under a name with a clean
- 38:26Speaker 3: background check, but they later learned that he had legally
- 38:29Speaker 3: changed his name before being hired by forty ISD. He
- 38:33Speaker 3: was facing charges under that previous name. Now he was
- 38:37Speaker 3: acquitted of those charges in that case, but one parent
- 38:40Speaker 3: is saying that that's because the child involved was nonverbal
- 38:43Speaker 3: and that family later moved away and never testified. But
- 38:47Speaker 3: this is all under investigation by forty police, CPS and
- 38:51Speaker 3: the state. They haven't released specific details, but families involved
- 38:55Speaker 3: have been contacted directly, but I'm hearing that it could
- 38:58Speaker 3: be up to nine students were involved. I believe this
- 39:02Speaker 3: was a first grade special ed teacher. There were aids
- 39:06Speaker 3: and other staff who possibly witnessed the misconduct. It didn't
- 39:09Speaker 3: report it immediately, and that's why they were removed over
- 39:12Speaker 3: the weekend. Yeah, just a developing story there, but it's
- 39:16Speaker 3: just really disheartening, really infuriating for parents and families of.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Course, but we don't know what the misconduct was just yet, right,
- 39:22Speaker 2: All right, Well, you know what you deserve a special place,
- 39:26Speaker 2: you know where if you mess with kids.
- 39:27Speaker 3: Yeah, one hundred percent. We got to protect our kids.
- 39:29Speaker 3: So I'll keep you posted on any developments. Also, Spirit
- 39:33Speaker 3: Airlines shut down services Saturday morning at abruptly canceled service.
- 39:38Speaker 3: Seventeen thousand workers did lose their jobs. That's unfortunate, but
- 39:42Speaker 3: people are left stranded, you know, book these flights and
- 39:45Speaker 3: then suddenly the airline doesn't exist.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Happen to my friend literally in New Orleans. First time
- 39:49Speaker 2: he's ever booked, ever booked Spirit because our other friend
- 39:53Speaker 2: was like, do it never let me down, which he's
- 39:55Speaker 2: a liar because it's let me down, let me down. Yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 2: he's in New Orleans. All of a sudden, he gets
- 40:00Speaker 2: a little on message like, oh, by the way, we're
- 40:01Speaker 2: out of business.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Good luck at home, right, that's awful.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, and I do feel bad for everyone
- 40:07Speaker 2: losing their jobs, but I'm sorry, I don't care if
- 40:09Speaker 2: they've never had a crash. Somebody said, well they've never
- 40:11Speaker 2: had a crash, Okay, we shouldn't. I'm so yeah, that
- 40:14Speaker 2: should be for all airlines they I had the worst
- 40:17Speaker 2: experience on Spirit ever, I mean the worst. The person
- 40:21Speaker 2: talked to me like I was an idiot. Oh, it
- 40:23Speaker 2: is the rude, I mean rude. Yeah, so you know, listen,
- 40:29Speaker 2: I mean, there's a reason you can get sixty dollars flights. Yeah,
- 40:34Speaker 2: and it's not paying off and the model's not working.
- 40:36Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely not. I mean, as of May twenty twenty four,
- 40:39Speaker 3: they operated just over three percent of domestic flights, and
- 40:42Speaker 3: this month that number could be as low as one percent.
- 40:45Speaker 3: And now obviously zero zero. Yeah, there's this whole movement
- 40:48Speaker 3: online though, for Americans to buy the airline. Did you
- 40:52Speaker 3: see this? Let's buy Spirit air dot com. They're saying
- 40:56Speaker 3: the website, right, the website crash because so many people
- 40:59Speaker 3: were on, so pledges are down at the moment. But
- 41:01Speaker 3: they say there's been eighty eight million dollars pledged already,
- 41:05Speaker 3: which I'm probably hard to believe.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Wait, do that with something that really matters like right
- 41:09Speaker 2: world hunger here, homelessness or yeah, veterans, not Spirit Airlines.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Like I said, I feel bad for anyone who lost
- 41:16Speaker 2: their job. I really do.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I do too.
- 41:18Speaker 4: What.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's nice to see the other airlines stepping up too,
- 41:22Speaker 3: and you know, offering to help. So uh yeah, don't
- 41:25Speaker 3: see that coming back. But you know, stranger things have
- 41:27Speaker 3: happened real quick, guys. Tonight is the met Gala. It
- 41:30Speaker 3: happens the first Monday in May every year at New
- 41:33Speaker 3: York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. The theme this year is
- 41:37Speaker 3: Costume Art. The dress code is Fashion is Art. Yeah.
- 41:41Speaker 3: Co chairs this year Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Anna Wintour, and
- 41:44Speaker 3: Venus William So this is really a high profile fundraiser
- 41:47Speaker 3: slash fashion show. The red carpet is going to be
- 41:51Speaker 3: stacked though Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Mary Kate, Nashley Olsen,
- 41:56Speaker 3: some of the cast members of K Pop Demon Hunters
- 41:58Speaker 3: are expected to be on that carpet, has well as
- 42:00Speaker 3: Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitt.
- 42:01Speaker 2: It's just Halloween for rich people. Yeah, it's Halloween for
- 42:06Speaker 2: rich people. I'm not gonna get negative on it because
- 42:08Speaker 2: somebody was like, Billy, stop being grumpy today.
- 42:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a lot of money for that's.
- 42:12Speaker 2: That's all the matters. They're raising money for charity. But
- 42:14Speaker 2: it's just rich people dressing up and doing rich people things.
- 42:17Speaker 3: So you're not going to be watching the live stream tonight.
- 42:20Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. I'd rather watch Pooh take
- 42:22Speaker 2: a bubble bath. Oh wait, okay, okay, maybe.
- 42:26Speaker 3: Not that's going on tonight.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I can tell you the bubble bath.
- 42:31Speaker 3: No, I don't know anything about who's bathing schedule.
- 42:36Speaker 2: I don't think he takes bath showers showers showers only. Yeah,
- 42:40Speaker 2: you never take a nice bath.
- 42:42Speaker 1: No, I don't like baths at all.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Okay, all right, glad we learned that today. Yeah, I'm
- 42:48Speaker 3: Candle Slowpez. Those are your Texas sob stories on Good Morning.
- 42:51Speaker 2: It's Billy the Kid. Canda Lopez is to your producer,
- 42:54Speaker 2: poo is here, Mundane is Mondane hard. Monday is very
- 43:00Speaker 2: Monday is because what we've been so excited to give
- 43:03Speaker 2: away these needos and mystery dumplings. So excited. Thank you
- 43:06Speaker 2: to our boy Danny Uh from Clausania, which he's just
- 43:10Speaker 2: been awesome to us everything that's hot. It's like, hey,
- 43:12Speaker 2: we need some little boo boos. Let's hook you up.
- 43:14Speaker 2: So we need some needos. People are waiting in our
- 43:17Speaker 2: long lines, I mean hours an hour, spending hundreds of
- 43:20Speaker 2: dollars on these toys because the kids want them, you know,
- 43:22Speaker 2: and the things you do for your kids, right, So
- 43:24Speaker 2: we're gonna give them away. So we're doing tradio radio, right,
- 43:27Speaker 2: We're gonna see what we can get for anido or
- 43:30Speaker 2: a mystery dumpling, a little tradio radio, so you could
- 43:33Speaker 2: trade us anything you want, right anything. Last time we
- 43:37Speaker 2: did this, we did it for concert tickets. Guess what
- 43:38Speaker 2: we got. We got a live goat. I've been so
- 43:42Speaker 2: excited all weekend. I can't wait to do this. We
- 43:45Speaker 2: get in here today and the request lines aren't working. Yeah,
- 43:48Speaker 2: how d do we have an update? Pooh like it?
- 43:50Speaker 2: Let's go to our correspondent, poo. Correspondent, poo, what's it
- 43:54Speaker 2: look like?
- 43:54Speaker 1: That is still on it? He said, He's ju just Brad,
- 43:58Speaker 1: that's the iteun.
- 44:00Speaker 4: It is?
- 44:01Speaker 2: Yeah, oh thanks.
- 44:02Speaker 3: From home, Brad.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Yeah, he remotely logged in.
- 44:05Speaker 5: He's trying to figure out why they're still a delay
- 44:07Speaker 5: coming back to here.
- 44:08Speaker 2: So Pooh are they working? No? Not yet. So the
- 44:11Speaker 2: one time I need the request lines to work, I think.
- 44:13Speaker 3: You can call because people are calling, right, it's just
- 44:15Speaker 3: we can't hear you.
- 44:16Speaker 5: Yeah, people right right, exactly answer and I can. I
- 44:20Speaker 5: heard him at first, and then I didn't hear him again.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Can you hear me now?
- 44:27Speaker 2: I'm trying not to get frustrated. Yeah, but our request
- 44:30Speaker 2: lines are working about as good as Spirit airlines. I
- 44:33Speaker 2: think actually Spirit runs our it department.
- 44:38Speaker 1: What is going on?
- 44:40Speaker 2: I'm trying not to be frustrated. I'm really trying not to.
- 44:43Speaker 2: We do a live show that we put a lot into.
- 44:46Speaker 2: How the one time everything has worked for months? Nothing
- 44:50Speaker 2: the one day, I'm like, this is it. We're going
- 44:52Speaker 2: to do tradio radio. Not one line is working. You want?
- 44:56Speaker 2: Should I give out Pooh's cell phone number?

- 47:04Speaker 3: I have to split it.
- 47:05Speaker 2: An hour and a half long massage? Is that for
- 47:08Speaker 2: all three of us? Or do we have to share?
- 47:09Speaker 2: That would be about thirty minutes. You know what, I
- 47:12Speaker 2: don't like massages. I hate massages.
- 47:14Speaker 3: Your thirty minutes?
- 47:15Speaker 2: Do you want my thirty minutes?

- 49:02Speaker 2: But of course, none of the request lines are working
- 49:05Speaker 2: on the one day where we need them to work,
- 49:06Speaker 2: because Pooh's in charge of the request lines. Literally since
- 49:11Speaker 2: five thirty am, we've been trying to get the request

- 49:37Speaker 2: nine FM on Instagram at Mix one of two nine FM.
- 49:39Speaker 2: You know what, somebody could probably win if they trade me,
- 49:41Speaker 2: because I would be heavily influenced in a bottle of
- 49:44Speaker 2: tequila right now because I'm telling you what I needed
- 49:47Speaker 2: after today. Oh I think Pooh needs it too, Yes.
- 49:51Speaker 3: I do, I need it too. Just pass it over.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Jannis one is coming in because we've had so far.

- 49:58Speaker 3: A caapy barra.
- 50:00Speaker 2: He wants to trade us that yeah, I don't know
- 50:01Speaker 2: if I can do any more live animals. We got

- 50:04Speaker 3: Well, Iris says she has a chicken, so we can
- 50:06Speaker 3: have fresh eggs every day for the hard little breakfast
- 50:09Speaker 3: that you guys can't stand the smell of.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Well, you know what a chicken.
- 50:12Speaker 3: I don't know. It's a strong contender. I've wanted a
- 50:14Speaker 3: chicken for a long time.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Can I have a pet chicken? And Carrollton?
- 50:17Speaker 3: I mean no, but just do it.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, who's going to keep the chicken?
- 50:20Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 50:21Speaker 2: Well are you keeping the chicken?
- 50:22Speaker 4: Bit?
- 50:22Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 50:23Speaker 2: Who lives in an apartment? So that's all? Oh, the
- 50:26Speaker 2: chicken might be a finalist so far.
- 50:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean. Kevin says he'll put gas in our
- 50:30Speaker 3: cars for us.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Oh wow, Kevin, Yeah, that's good. Seven hundred dollars.
- 50:35Speaker 3: Oh yeah, planning offers for people to cook for us
- 50:38Speaker 3: for Nanda says she will make Brazilian food. We got
- 50:40Speaker 3: an offer for someone to make gumbo for us. Okay,
- 50:43Speaker 3: people to trade their kids.
- 50:46Speaker 2: Somebody offered to trade their kids.
- 50:47Speaker 3: But then you don't need the if have your kid.
- 50:49Speaker 2: If you trade your kid, then what do yeah, what
- 50:51Speaker 2: do you need the needle for?
- 50:52Speaker 3: Unless they're just going to do chores housework for us.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Okay, anything else that we got.
- 50:57Speaker 3: Cassandra has a power tool that accidentally got delivered to
- 50:59Speaker 3: our house. She says it's pretty expensive. Apparently she doesn't
- 51:03Speaker 3: know what it is. A power Yeah, a mystery power
- 51:07Speaker 3: tool for a mystery dumpling.
- 51:08Speaker 2: That might be a good see. I do like a
- 51:10Speaker 2: good mystery box. And sure you know, we have to
- 51:13Speaker 2: guess what's in there. And it's a mystery for us.
- 51:15Speaker 3: That is good.
- 51:16Speaker 2: Okay, a mystery power tool. Well, she's not gonna send
- 51:18Speaker 2: it back.
- 51:19Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Oh, she's living a lawless She's waiting to see if we.
- 51:23Speaker 3: Want it before she sends it back. I didn't. He
- 51:25Speaker 3: didn't see anything. Nothing to see here.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Don't know what it is though. Yeah, all right, we're
- 51:28Speaker 2: gonna pick somebody. But for the show at it makes
- 51:30Speaker 2: one of two nine FM at Mikes one of two
- 51:33Speaker 2: nine FM. I'm trying to think about something that would
- 51:35Speaker 2: really get us right. Because the chicken is good. I
- 51:38Speaker 2: think the chicken so far is in the lead.
- 51:40Speaker 3: That's the most useful option for us right now, because
- 51:42Speaker 3: we do eat a lot of hardbleled eggs, because we.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Don't need it. We don't need expensive, we need interesting, unique,
- 51:48Speaker 2: We need unique. We need something functional, something different that
- 51:52Speaker 2: would make for good content moving forward, because Candace would
- 51:55Speaker 2: have to take care of this chicken. Do you have
- 51:57Speaker 2: a chicken coop? Candace?
- 51:58Speaker 4: No?
- 51:59Speaker 3: Well is it? Come with the chicken coop? Iris? Let
- 52:01Speaker 3: me know one sure?
- 52:05Speaker 2: Where do you think you're going to keep the chicken?
- 52:06Speaker 3: I mean in my backyard?
- 52:08Speaker 2: Do you.
- 52:08Speaker 3: I've got a pretty big backyard and my neighbors have
- 52:11Speaker 3: low ki chickens. They're not supposed to.
- 52:12Speaker 2: So wait, you're not supposed to have chickens.
- 52:16Speaker 3: One of those people that do someone in our neighborhood
- 52:18Speaker 3: as a peacock. Oh yeah, for sure.
- 52:21Speaker 2: Now you know what I would want? A duck?
- 52:23Speaker 3: You would?
- 52:24Speaker 2: I would love to have a pet duck. I want
- 52:26Speaker 2: to be a duck for years.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Oh you don't like goose geese?
- 52:29Speaker 3: No, no golf lessons, David says, will give us golf lessons.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Okay, that's pretty good, David, Yeah that is. I don't know.
- 52:37Speaker 2: You've probably quit after one time with us once you
- 52:40Speaker 2: see poohs swing Okay, all right? At Mix one of
- 52:44Speaker 2: two nine FM. At Mix one of two nine FM
- 52:47Speaker 2: Trade us right now for these needles and Mystery Dumplings.
- 52:51Speaker 7: Is tough stories on the tents with Billy the Kid
- 52:53Speaker 7: in the.
- 52:53Speaker 4: Morning only on the new Mixed one or two point now.
- 52:56Speaker 2: Well, but we're giving away these needles every day, Nedos
- 52:59Speaker 2: and Mystery Dumplings every day. People want him so bad.
- 53:01Speaker 2: We're doing tradio radio. So what well you trade at
- 53:03Speaker 2: Mix one of two nine FM today We're doing it
- 53:06Speaker 2: on Instagram because our phones are going crazy. But yeah
- 53:08Speaker 2: at Mix one of two nine FM at candis before
- 53:10Speaker 2: you do text to stop story. Some of the good,
- 53:12Speaker 2: good trades are coming in round of golf at Pecan
- 53:15Speaker 2: Hollow with me.
- 53:17Speaker 3: Oh I think that's.
- 53:18Speaker 2: Rye Boosy his name is. That could be good.
- 53:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:22Speaker 2: Uh. Arianna said she would trade her brother.
- 53:25Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Oh Liz phones.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Liz said, signed MAVs player Jersey from Sean Marion. Oh
- 53:32Speaker 2: like that. Stephanie said, free tickets to plant Bingo hosted
- 53:37Speaker 2: by Social Greenhouse.
- 53:39Speaker 3: Oh that sounds fun. I'm talking about playing bingo.
- 53:41Speaker 2: You know what's funny is I knew I knew Cas
- 53:43Speaker 2: was gonna get Yeah, Today's plant Bingo. Elizabeth said she
- 53:49Speaker 2: would trade the penny her daughter swallowed. It's the most
- 53:53Speaker 2: expensive penny ever. So they must have got it out.
- 53:56Speaker 3: We could have that twenty thousand dollars, she said. It
- 53:58Speaker 3: costs what yeah, yeah, to get it out.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Can't you just I don't know.
- 54:04Speaker 3: You must have had some kind of procedure.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Wow, okay, well, you know what, we'll put that in
- 54:09Speaker 2: the running. We'll pick it before the show's over. So
- 54:11Speaker 2: you got time at mix one of two nine FM
- 54:13Speaker 2: on Instagram at Mix one of two nine FM, cannice.
- 54:15Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 54:16Speaker 3: Well, the votes were counted in this weekend's election. Dart
- 54:19Speaker 3: services will be coming to an end in Highland Park
- 54:21Speaker 3: this month. They will continue in Addison and University Park.
- 54:25Speaker 3: So you know, Plano announced their intention to leave this alliance,
- 54:29Speaker 3: saying it's tax contributions weren't worth the benefits to residents. Well, Plano,
- 54:33Speaker 3: Farmers Branch and Irving initially had those elections planned, but
- 54:37Speaker 3: canceled them after renegotiating their agreements. Highland Park though voting
- 54:42Speaker 3: not to continue. So buses will stop operating through Highland Park.
- 54:47Speaker 3: But well, they'll go through Highland Park, but we won't
- 54:49Speaker 3: stop in Highland Park.
- 54:50Speaker 2: Scale. It's kind of like me Yeah, you can go through,
- 54:53Speaker 2: but you can't stop because if you're not just rich enough,
- 54:57Speaker 2: you actually get kicked out immediately.
- 55:00Speaker 3: This is expected to take effect May fifteenth, And if
- 55:03Speaker 3: you haven't heard about this, McDonald's is quietly getting rid
- 55:06Speaker 3: of their self serve soda fountains. So their plan is
- 55:09Speaker 3: to completely get rid of these by twenty thirty two.
- 55:13Speaker 3: That would mean that they are only behind the counter.
- 55:15Speaker 3: So they're saying this will help modernize restaurants, reduce maintenance
- 55:19Speaker 3: and labor demands, and really you know, help them adapt
- 55:22Speaker 3: to the demand for drive through delivery and takeout, which
- 55:25Speaker 3: is you know a lot of people these days.
- 55:26Speaker 2: I mean, you're trying to make everything automated, but then
- 55:28Speaker 2: I have to give my cup to an employee right
- 55:31Speaker 2: to go fill it up.
- 55:32Speaker 3: That's so confusing because we only have the kiosks at
- 55:34Speaker 3: the one by my house. Like to get the human
- 55:36Speaker 3: there at the counter? Is it takes a while?
- 55:38Speaker 2: You go, you got to hit the bell, yeah, yell
- 55:40Speaker 2: to get a human yep, And then I got to
- 55:42Speaker 2: get a refill that we just leave the machines out right.
- 55:44Speaker 3: Yeah. They say this would give them more control of
- 55:47Speaker 3: reportion sizes, cleanliness and inventory and you know, stop people
- 55:50Speaker 3: from taking their water cup and putting soda in it.
- 55:53Speaker 2: Did you see what the New Zealand McDonald's is doing. No,
- 55:56Speaker 2: they're coming out with a mcmullet cheeseburger.
- 55:59Speaker 3: What is that?
- 56:00Speaker 2: I'm not this not a joke. Mcmullet cheeseburger. One slice
- 56:04Speaker 2: of cheese hangs off in the back, no, to where
- 56:08Speaker 2: it looks like a mullet. And they're really doing it
- 56:12Speaker 2: to just cause a little social viral moment. Okay, where
- 56:15Speaker 2: the cheeseburger has a mullet.
- 56:17Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, well bring that to mesquite make your own,
- 56:20Speaker 3: yeah for sure, real quick, guys. Post Malone canceled the
- 56:24Speaker 3: start of his upcoming tour. Six shows were part of this,
- 56:28Speaker 3: including his shows here in Texas. That tour is now
- 56:31Speaker 3: going to kick off June twelfth in Indianapolis. So he's
- 56:34Speaker 3: saying he needs more time to finish his double album
- 56:37Speaker 3: before this tour starts. You know a lot of people
- 56:40Speaker 3: have been saying this could have something to do with
- 56:42Speaker 3: low ticket sales, which we've been hearing for weeks. Half
- 56:46Speaker 3: these stadiums, you know, are not sold yet.
- 56:48Speaker 2: I know see people online going, oh it's low ticket
- 56:50Speaker 2: sales and kind of making fun of him. I'm like, well,
- 56:52Speaker 2: even if it is, it's not his fault. No, if anything,
- 56:55Speaker 2: it's like, well, people don't have disposable income right now
- 56:58Speaker 2: when gas is seventeen dollars a gallon.
- 57:00Speaker 3: Yeah, we're about to hit a record and I'm.
- 57:01Speaker 2: Not gonna go all the way to Waco and spend
- 57:03Speaker 2: all this money to go see him.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Right It's it's.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Tough right now for people to just throw away. And
- 57:08Speaker 2: concerts are expensive, they.
- 57:09Speaker 3: Are, some of these shows. We're even offering discounted tickets recently.
- 57:14Speaker 3: But he says, you know, he promised the new music,
- 57:16Speaker 3: doesn't have time to finish it, so he's just not
- 57:18Speaker 3: ready to tour. So we'll push it back three weeks.
- 57:20Speaker 3: That'll help him get the music done. So I'm looking
- 57:23Speaker 3: forward to the new music either way.
- 57:24Speaker 2: I know. And when you're an artist, you don't want
- 57:26Speaker 2: to go from stadium to arenas. But to me, there's
- 57:28Speaker 2: nothing wrong with that.
- 57:29Speaker 3: No, I'd be happy with it.
- 57:30Speaker 4: Do it.
- 57:31Speaker 2: Arena show dickies, do it.
- 57:33Speaker 3: American Airlines one hundred percent, do both. I'd go, Yeah,
- 57:36Speaker 3: I would too, all right, I'm Kanaslopez. Those are your
- 57:38Speaker 3: Texas top stories.
- 57:41Speaker 4: Get it off your chest to promise you'll feel better.
- 57:44Speaker 7: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret.
- 57:47Speaker 2: I need a drink, right, is that my dirty little secret?
- 57:50Speaker 2: I'm drinking right now? Just kidding, Let's not do that,
- 57:52Speaker 2: all right, Dirty Little Secret? Eight three three seven eight
- 57:54Speaker 2: seven one o two nine. Usually you can call us
- 57:56Speaker 2: where they're working on the request lines right now or Instagram.
- 57:59Speaker 2: Either way, tell us your secret. Go ahead and confess.
- 58:02Speaker 3: I do.
- 58:03Speaker 6: I've been going back and forth on calling you guys,
- 58:06Speaker 6: but I really don't have anyone to talk to about this.
- 58:08Speaker 2: So well, that's what we're here for. It's a non
- 58:11Speaker 2: judgment zone. What is going on in your world?
- 58:13Speaker 6: Well, I've been married, and we've only been married a
- 58:16Speaker 6: couple of years, so it's still pretty new. And from
- 58:20Speaker 6: the beginning of we both wanted the same thing, like
- 58:22Speaker 6: a family with kids, you know, a big house full
- 58:25Speaker 6: of noise, and that was all always a part of
- 58:27Speaker 6: the plan for both of us. And because it hadn't
- 58:31Speaker 6: worked out that way, we've been trying and trying and trying,
- 58:36Speaker 6: and nothing has happened. And at first I thought it
- 58:39Speaker 6: was me. So I got tested and I went through
- 58:42Speaker 6: all the emotions like something's wrong with my body. I'm
- 58:44Speaker 6: like broken, I'm something's not happening right. And then we
- 58:49Speaker 6: found out it's not me, it's him. Oh okay, And
- 58:53Speaker 6: I don't even think he realizes how much that changed
- 58:56Speaker 6: everything for me. And I tried to be supportive and
- 58:58Speaker 6: I love him. I love him so much, and he's
- 59:00Speaker 6: a good man, he's a good husband, and it's not
- 59:02Speaker 6: his fault. But I feel like, ever since I found out,
- 59:06Speaker 6: like there's this big weight on me and I can't
- 59:08Speaker 6: shake it. And I've always pictured myself as a mom.
- 59:11Speaker 6: I've always wanted kids. I wanted that life with my
- 59:15Speaker 6: husband and to have my kids in my house, and
- 59:19Speaker 6: so it's just like, this can't happen now I'm there.
- 59:23Speaker 2: I know it's a lot of emotions, but and I'm
- 59:26Speaker 2: not saying this is the same, but I know there's
- 59:28Speaker 2: other you know, there's adoption, there's other things that you
- 59:31Speaker 2: could do.
- 59:34Speaker 6: My friends, Yes, I mean we've discussed adoption. I'm not
- 59:37Speaker 6: against it. I'm not, but if I'm being completely honest,
- 59:40Speaker 6: I don't know if I'll feel the same way. Yeah,
- 59:43Speaker 6: And I feel awful saying that, but that's how I feel,
- 59:46Speaker 6: and I can't deny that I feel that way, and
- 59:50Speaker 6: this is a part of like what makes me feel
- 59:52Speaker 6: like I might be the worst wife in the world
- 59:54Speaker 6: or worst person in the world. And I just know
- 59:57Speaker 6: that I know myself, and I'd be lying if if,
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: like if I say this is okay, because like I said,
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: this has always been my dream and I have thought
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: about leaving him, oh and I haven't said it, and
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: I haven't even come close because I love him and
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: it's like not his fault, but it's crossed my mind
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: that maybe I should move on. But I'm like, hold on,
- 1:00:20Speaker 6: hold on.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: So you're thinking about actually leap, okay, and I'm not.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: It's a non judgment zone. You're thinking about leaving him
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: over this?
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: Well, I do want to have kids of my own,
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: and I don't know what else to do because I
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: do love him and I love the life that we're
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: building together, but it's not working out, and I just
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: feel like it's flipping away what I wanted.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: I mean, is it not working out? Or is this
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: the plan? The bigger plan that you know? Sometimes you
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: just can't control these things. And obviously it's not his fault.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: I can't tell you what's right or wrong. There's a
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: difference between going, oh you know what, I can't. I
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: can't say this has never crossed my mind and I'm
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: actually going to do this. Yeah, there's two different things.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: So I mean, I guess it just depends on you
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: if you love them. I just feel like there's no
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: way you can leave them over this.
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: I don't feel like I can leave them either. But
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: I'm just like hurting myself and I'm like, how do
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: I agree without hurting him? I'm just keeping everything to myself.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Have you two talked about but maybe possibly doing counseling
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: or something like that together, because this is a big deal.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't hold it inside, but also sharing that
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: with him is going to just break his heart even worse.
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: Yeah, I guess we will have to go to counseling
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: because I don't know what to do from here, because
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: I'm just questioning everything and feeling like a terrible person.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Because think about it. You leave Let's say you know
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: you've thought about it, You leave him, you get with
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: somebody else, you have kids, you think years down the road,
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: you're not going to look back and go I mean, yeah,
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: I'm glad I'm a mom, but I can't believe I
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: left a man that I love right and love because
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: of something that he can't control. Yeah, this were switched
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: around and it was a man calling up and saying,
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: I'm leaving my wife because she can't have kids. I
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: think people would be in an uproar and everybody feels
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: different now that you're saying it, right, And I don't
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: think you're a bad person. I'm just saying I would
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: really talk to somebody before you let that thought get
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: out of control or take over reasons.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: I mean to process you'r how you're feeling before you
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: just jump and make some type of decision that you
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: can't turn back.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: You know, because he's going through all this too, Yeah,
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: he probably feels so guilty and emasculated.
- 1:02:31Speaker 6: Like you know, it's just horrible. I wish that things
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: were different, but they're not. So I have to just
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: face what we have going on.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: Well, and some people would be, you know, take the
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: route of this just wasn't meant to be. It wasn't
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: meant for me to have kids.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: It's a tough pill to swallow, it is when you've
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: dreamed of that.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I know so many people, so many people go,
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: especially women, they feel like their main reason they're here
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: is to be a mom. If that can't happen, I
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: get why you feel like there's a big part of you.
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: Missing for sure, but you definitely can't. You guys can't
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: work through this on your own. I would definitely seek
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: professional help do that.
- 1:03:11Speaker 6: Thank you, Thank you so much.
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: All good luck with everything and let us know what
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: happens and hang in there.
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: Okay, okay, thank you so much.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: You're welcome, and I gotta say thank you to everyone.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: This is why I love our listeners, because I'm getting
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: DM after DM after DM going, here's how she can
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: do something about this, go to this doctor or people
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: who've been in this situation. I'm gonna send her all
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: of this info.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: So as I don't know what option she's explored or
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: has it, I don't know. It's kind of sensitive to
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: ask you, right, and I.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Don't on air exactly, so you know what, I'm gonna
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: get all this info. Thank you for sending on Instagram.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: I'm gonna get to her and hopefully they can work
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: something out. We're about to get out of here. First, though,
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: we got to announce the winner for today's Tradio Radio.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: I'm mixed one on two point nine. Who is going
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: to win the needle or the mystery dumpling. I guess
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: we'll let them pick which one they want.
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: Okay, that's fair.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: I'm excited about it. We've had so many good entries
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: on Fortunately today the request lines weren't working. Tomorrow. I'm
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: sure they'll be up and running by tomorrow.
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: Yeah, knock on wood, knock.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: On wood, we'll see. I love how pooso confident.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna make sure that happened.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Well, you should have made sure today.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: Then we just get a landline. We have this high
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: tech phone, syst so let's get an old school phone.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: Just give me that phone. I'll be happy with it
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: either way. You're going to at mix one of two
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: nine AFM on Instagram to tell us what you would
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: trade and if you entered something. By the way, you're
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: still in the running. We're logging all this, so yeah,
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: I mean you're still you're still in it. We have
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: all week to do this. We're just gonna pick a
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: winner each day, so tomorrow we might do it on
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: the request lines. But we're gonna keep in mind all
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: the stuff that people have, because look, you want to
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: hear some of the stuff. Yeah, these needles. Everybody wants
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: these needles. If you don't know what they are. It's
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: like a little squishy toy that people are waiting in
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: five hour long lines for paying one hundreds of dollars for. See,
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: this is a good one. Heidi set a Pokemon collection.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Oh, that might be worth money exactly.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: Oh, David said, golf lessons that spin on the list
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: of making it to the finals. Chrissy said, two pet ducks.
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: You did say you wanted a duck, right?
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: No, I don't know if I can handle two pet ducks.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Kevin said, okay, now this is interesting. Kevin said a
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: care bear fuggler, which I don't know what that is.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: Can I say fuggler on the radio?
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: I think so?
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: All right? And a box of toenail clippings our passed.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: I take the care bear instead.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: Carmen said a VHS player.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: Oh, we could watch your old home videos when you
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: were little.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: That's a good one too. But you know what, I
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: think we've come to a conclusion of who's gonna win today?
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: Yeah? I think we have.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: Should we announce who will win the Nido for today?
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: The winner for Monday is Can I get a drum roll? Please?
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: Can't just go ahead, Iris, reward your chicken.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Now we have a show chicken. Thank you to Iris
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: and Joshua. She said, you know what, cannice need some
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: more eggs.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: Yeah, hard boiled eggs. On the daily.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: She eats hard boiled eggs every single day, sometimes seven
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: to eight eggs a day. And we couldn't turn it down.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: We could not turn the chicken down. So now you
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: have to go to Joshua and get your chicken.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: Okay, She's send me pictures of them, so I guess
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: I get to take my pick. Wow, they're cute. Okay,
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: So there's a little goat there hanging out with them.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: All.
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: These are happy chickens.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: All right, happy chickens, happy eggs. Yeah, so thank you
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: and congrats to Iris. That's a big deal. I will
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: say this though, I think we're.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: Done with live analysts probably.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: So we have a goat. We have a chicken. I
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: think that's all we can handle.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean eggs, what beats that?
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: God, I do want it. I did want the ducks, though,
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: I don't know if I could turn the ducks down.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: They're still in the running. Yeah, but what am I
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: going to do with two ducks?
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: Well, that's a commitment. They need each other to be friends.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: I know I can't break them up, right, all right,
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: either way, we'll do it again tomorrow morning, eight thirty.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: But congratulations to Iris.
