- 0:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm good man.
- 0:34Speaker 1: This is a grand finale of sorts because I got
- 0:37Speaker 1: to head out to California for some stand up shows and.
- 0:42Speaker 2: They need some help counting the votes in the mayor's race.
- 0:44Speaker 1: They said, so, yeah, bag out a few jokes, grab
- 0:49Speaker 1: a few ballots. We could wrap up this mayor's race
- 0:51Speaker 1: just two short months after it started.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Yes, it's right, it's two months later. They haven't kunded
- 0:57Speaker 3: the votes yet. So and if you're around the country,
- 0:59Speaker 3: jim fail is always on tour all over the place.
- 1:02Speaker 3: How do you keep up this schedule? Five nights here
- 1:04Speaker 3: Saturday night, Fox News Channel.
- 1:06Speaker 2: And then you know, it's called drugs, Mark Drugs.
- 1:11Speaker 4: I'm kidding them.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Actually pretty I'm actually pretty clean. But anybody listening locally,
- 1:15Speaker 1: we because I have to go away. We're actually taping
- 1:17Speaker 1: my TV show tonight because I have my son on,
- 1:20Speaker 1: I have Lincoln on, and I have Jillian Michaels on.
- 1:23Speaker 1: And what's funny is Jillian Michaels. You know, she's from
- 1:26Speaker 1: the Biggest Losers, so she just always comes on the
- 1:28Speaker 1: show and calls me fat. But I'm bringing my kid tonight,
- 1:31Speaker 1: so she could see what I would look like if
- 1:33Speaker 1: I was skinny, because like, I'm not going to get
- 1:35Speaker 1: in shape.
- 1:36Speaker 2: But he's in shape. But you know what I mean,
- 1:37Speaker 2: he is me if I was trying. So it's a
- 1:41Speaker 2: good panel.
- 1:41Speaker 4: If you're in the Tri.
- 1:42Speaker 1: State area, We're taping tonight at eight and you can
- 1:45Speaker 1: always get free tickets at Fox across at America dot com.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Yeah, and it takes somebody because it's a great thing.
- 1:50Speaker 3: You know, you don't have to tell him you got
- 1:52Speaker 3: it for free. You can just say, I arrange for
- 1:54Speaker 3: us to go to Fox News and we'll be in
- 1:56Speaker 3: the audience.
- 1:59Speaker 1: If I honestly, if this scenario presented itself, when I
- 2:03Speaker 1: was you know a single guy?
- 2:05Speaker 2: Okay, because I have.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, I've listened to you since I was
- 2:09Speaker 1: graduating division. Okay, if I knew I had free tickets
- 2:14Speaker 1: to take chicks to a TV I was like, I
- 2:15Speaker 1: would have been cleaning up, you know what I'm.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Saying, cleaning off.
- 2:19Speaker 1: You take a girl to a TV show and they're like, Wow, this.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Guy's like really connected. How did he get you these seats?
- 2:24Speaker 1: They don't need to know that they're free, Fellas, I'm
- 2:27Speaker 1: telling you because I care.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Yeah, just go to Fox Across America. It's tonight, right,
- 2:31Speaker 3: you can get the tickets for tonight.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Fox Across to night at eight o'clock.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Oh okay, Fox Across America. You can see the taping
- 2:38Speaker 3: tonight at eight o'clock. And he's very good, Jimmy Phillip.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Besides on the show, I mean, he talks to the audience.
- 2:43Speaker 3: You can take pictures, you meet a lot of people,
- 2:45Speaker 3: and it's fun there. So Fox Across America, free show
- 2:50Speaker 3: tonight at eight o'clock. And hey, we saw each other
- 2:53Speaker 3: a Monday night. We had dinner with Mark Malkoff, the
- 2:56Speaker 3: guy who wrote the greatest Johnny Carson book. Ever, And
- 2:59Speaker 3: wasn't that interesting studying the great Johnny Cars.
- 3:02Speaker 1: That was And I'm telling you this, that's the only
- 3:05Speaker 1: time in anyone's life that a dinner has lasted four
- 3:08Speaker 1: hours where no one was drinking. That was incredible. Like
- 3:12Speaker 1: he had just such a wealth of knowledge between the
- 3:15Speaker 1: two of you, and you know, I was just on
- 3:17Speaker 1: the other side of the table, kind of hanging out
- 3:19Speaker 1: doing my thing and I but it was. It was magical.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Like he's like obviously a walking encyclopedia. You know, you're
- 3:25Speaker 1: connected to every news figure of relevance who've ever lived.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I think I think you're the third guy.
- 3:30Speaker 1: In that Daily Plaza video all the other stories you
- 3:34Speaker 1: told me. I'm like, I'm pretty sure Simon was there too.
- 3:37Speaker 2: But it was.
- 3:37Speaker 1: It was so good, and I would be remiss if
- 3:39Speaker 1: I did not shout out it was Mastro Steakhouse.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Is that where we were?
- 3:43Speaker 3: Yeah, it was phenomenal.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Wait, yeah, they they deserve credit because it was great,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and I'd be wrong if I didn't shout him out.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I even, which is funny. I ate a salad, which.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I don't think you're supposed to be doing right now
- 3:57Speaker 1: because of this crazy story in the news about people
- 3:59Speaker 1: getting thick. But I had a salad before a port shop.
- 4:02Speaker 1: But whatever the heck I ate It was a a
- 4:04Speaker 1: ten out of ten, no notes, it was great.
- 4:06Speaker 3: It was phenomenal. And we got to thank Tom Cuddy
- 4:08Speaker 3: because he picked up the check. Otherwise it might have
- 4:11Speaker 3: been a staring contest for a while.
- 4:17Speaker 4: But that's hilarious.
- 4:19Speaker 3: So yeah, you know the idea, Johnny Carson, it doesn't
- 4:23Speaker 3: exist in today's world. Like every comedian is partisan biased,
- 4:26Speaker 3: I'm late night comedians except for you. Your monologue is
- 4:29Speaker 3: like Johnny Carson, You'll make jokes about both sides.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, I'm gonna get beat up for this one
- 4:34Speaker 1: because it's all over the map this week.
- 4:36Speaker 4: It's just a lot of things that happened.
- 4:39Speaker 1: But no, But the point is, if you're really doing
- 4:42Speaker 1: your job, whether you're a comic, you're a singer, you're
- 4:44Speaker 1: a ballplayer in those fields, we are giving people common culture.
- 4:49Speaker 1: That's always been the job description. Common culture just means
- 4:53Speaker 1: everybody does this thing. You know, listen to music, laugh
- 4:57Speaker 1: at jokes, you know, watch a ball game, and and
- 5:00Speaker 1: that's what you're supposed to do. The minute you start
- 5:03Speaker 1: catering to any ideology, like exclusively then you're not. It's
- 5:07Speaker 1: not common culture, it's you know, it's exclusive. And so
- 5:11Speaker 1: I look at the show like an homage. You know,
- 5:14Speaker 1: I'm literally doing this show like I'm trying to honor
- 5:18Speaker 1: what I grew up watching. And it's a good compass
- 5:21Speaker 1: for me because you don't catch yourself saying things.
- 5:24Speaker 4: That you don't mean, you know, to try to play.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Caid an audience, and more importantly, you don't limit yourself
- 5:30Speaker 1: by taking targets off the table, Like I make fun
- 5:33Speaker 1: of Trump a lot, and he likes it. He tweets
- 5:35Speaker 1: about it because I'm not doing it in a malicious way.
- 5:38Speaker 1: But like, if you were to think about the last
- 5:40Speaker 1: four or five years of Late Night, because those guys
- 5:42Speaker 1: wouldn't go after liberals, think of all the Biden jokes
- 5:46Speaker 1: their audience missed out on, Like imagine you know this, Okay,
- 5:50Speaker 1: Chevy Chase probably fell down the stairs as Gerald Ford
- 5:55Speaker 1: for ten years on Saturday Night Live, and.
- 5:57Speaker 2: That was one incident. Okay.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Joe Biden gave us about sixty five.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Thousand of those incidents.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Yeah, and he wasn't getting touched.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And you realize that, you know, that hurts those shows
- 6:09Speaker 1: because there were jokes to be told that are funny.
- 6:11Speaker 1: They don't have to be malicious. You can't look at
- 6:13Speaker 1: it as a comic. Is is this joke gonna help
- 6:16Speaker 1: a political party or hurt them?
- 6:17Speaker 4: You just gotta look at it as if it's funny,
- 6:19Speaker 4: you know.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Yeah, Hey, wasn't it great that Mick Jagger came out
- 6:23Speaker 3: and said, Bruce Springsteen's got to stop lecturing the audience
- 6:25Speaker 3: about politics. They're there to have fun. But wasn't that great?
- 6:29Speaker 4: Oh?
- 6:30Speaker 1: I thought that was so amazing because he is the
- 6:34Speaker 1: ranking statesman in.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Music, you know, he is.
- 6:38Speaker 4: You know, you'd say, you know, McCartney's up there, but
- 6:40Speaker 4: it's in any order.
- 6:41Speaker 2: It's McCartney and Mick Jagger.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And you almost have to give it a Mick Jagger
- 6:45Speaker 1: because that he looks good.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Man, he is eighty.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I was watching an interview, dude, he is.
- 6:51Speaker 2: You know, it's funny.
- 6:52Speaker 4: You know what it makes me think?
- 6:53Speaker 1: You know, Like I grew up in the eighties, Nancy
- 6:55Speaker 1: Reagan used to say, you know, just say no. But
- 6:57Speaker 1: based on how good the Stones look, maybe she should
- 6:59Speaker 1: have said just yes.
- 7:01Speaker 4: I don't know they were they were.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Doing all kinds of fun stuff of the eighties.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Marhamoments I don't know.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I disagree with you. I think Mick Jagger is great,
- 7:11Speaker 3: but McCartney ranks above them.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Sea No, that's fair.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I mean I could say you could you could tell
- 7:16Speaker 1: me they're in any order. I think the Beatles are
- 7:18Speaker 1: the superior band. But the Stones are touring like right
- 7:23Speaker 1: now you know it, you know, and they put out
- 7:25Speaker 1: another album.
- 7:26Speaker 2: You know, they've adjusted for their age. I believe Start
- 7:28Speaker 2: Me Up is now called help Me Up.
- 7:30Speaker 4: But that's okay.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Well, every band is just fighting and fighting. They can't
- 7:37Speaker 3: they can't tourk because they're all fighting. What about the Stones.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I think nobody's ever left the band. It's amazing.
- 7:43Speaker 1: That is crazy, But it's you know, back to the
- 7:46Speaker 1: thing about the music. If the focus is on the music,
- 7:50Speaker 1: you can keep a band together. Once you become a
- 7:53Speaker 1: pretend activist like Springsteen, you know, you're now focused on
- 7:57Speaker 1: things besides the music, and that definitely changes the dynamic
- 8:01Speaker 1: within a band. And so you know he's doing that, Bruce,
- 8:05Speaker 1: because there's relevance to be had from protesting, and he
- 8:08Speaker 1: clearly misses being in like the eye of that storm
- 8:12Speaker 1: and wants to fancy himself some kind of folk hero.
- 8:15Speaker 1: But you know this, like protest songs are a young
- 8:17Speaker 1: man's game, Like Bob Dillman was writing the greatest protest
- 8:19Speaker 1: songs of all time sixty years ago. Yes, that's like
- 8:25Speaker 1: that's the Bruce Springsteen thing is. It's frustrating to watch
- 8:30Speaker 1: because obviously he has a massive catalog, he sells a
- 8:33Speaker 1: gazillion ticket but you're losing the spirit of the thing.
- 8:37Speaker 1: So I wish Bruce would stop standing up.
- 8:40Speaker 4: For people who weren't born in the USA.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Very good point. Hey, Jimmy Taylor, is this shantytown on
- 8:48Speaker 3: the west side, twelve blocks long? This it looks like
- 8:51Speaker 3: Los Angeles started to look How bad is this? Is
- 8:54Speaker 3: may or Mount Donnie going to ever clean it up?
- 8:58Speaker 4: No?
- 9:00Speaker 1: In short, no, And that's actually the bad news because
- 9:04Speaker 1: winter is going to come eventually, and you're gonna have
- 9:07Speaker 1: last year. You know, Mom, Donnie killed so many people
- 9:09Speaker 1: last year during the blizzard that Disney did a remake
- 9:12Speaker 1: of Frozen, you.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Know, not good.
- 9:15Speaker 2: And that's the thing, like right now.
- 9:17Speaker 1: You kind of tolerated like they tolerated in LA because
- 9:20Speaker 1: it's warm out all year and because you know, in
- 9:23Speaker 1: a lot of ways that city has let itself go
- 9:25Speaker 1: under one party rule. What's amazing is Mom Donnie is
- 9:28Speaker 1: accomplishing things in New York that it took California like
- 9:32Speaker 1: fifty years to accomplish.
- 9:33Speaker 4: That is the scary part.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Like California always had a lot of homeless. They didn't
- 9:38Speaker 1: become ten cities till about ten years ago.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Mom Donnie's like nine.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Months into this thing, not even he's like six months in.
- 9:45Speaker 1: This is crazy. We're going to have a train to
- 9:47Speaker 1: nowhere by this time next year.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Hey, Jimmy fails every weeknight nine to midnight, nine to midnight.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Although tonight the President makes that speech about nine o'clock,
- 9:58Speaker 3: so you'll come on after that and then what do
- 10:00Speaker 3: you have on the show tonight?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Oh, buckle up man, because of what they say, because
- 10:06Speaker 1: of the speech, you know, there's talk that it's going
- 10:08Speaker 1: to be about Georgia and the twenty twenty election. So
- 10:11Speaker 1: they're giving me like the whole Fox political team, which
- 10:14Speaker 1: they never really do because my show isn't like super serious,
- 10:17Speaker 1: Like I make a lot of you don't cover serious stuff,
- 10:19Speaker 1: but it's kind of a loose show.
- 10:21Speaker 4: But I think.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Everybody who's doing primetime TV is available for us.
- 10:25Speaker 2: So like in and out of break.
- 10:27Speaker 1: So this is the closest I'll come to working on
- 10:29Speaker 1: election night because they don't want me anywhere near the TV.
- 10:32Speaker 2: On a serious night like that.
- 10:33Speaker 4: But I'll be there tonight, So get ready.
- 10:35Speaker 3: All right, So listen tonight we'll have the present speech
- 10:37Speaker 3: and then Jimmy Fayler right after that. Oh and he
- 10:40Speaker 3: does the best late night show in television Saturday nights
- 10:43Speaker 3: at ten. But they're taping one tonight at eight o'clock.
- 10:45Speaker 3: If you want to come's be in the audience. It's free.
- 10:49Speaker 3: You can get the tickets. Just go to foxacross America

- 11:24Speaker 3: Right, take care Hey. Coming up at noon, Buck Sexton,
- 11:29Speaker 3: Clay Travis. That's a great show. You learn a lot

- 11:39Speaker 3: Hannity at three, Jesse Kelly every night at six. Now tonight,
- 11:44Speaker 3: nine o'clock, the present is going to make that big speech,
- 11:46Speaker 3: so we'll broadcast that, and then Jimmy Fayla after that,
- 11:49Speaker 3: and Curtis, who was great in those hearings City Council hearings.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Curtis is back every morning here it's Curtis Leiwa and
- 11:59Speaker 3: Larry Minty every morning six to ten on seven ten
- 12:03Speaker 3: w or
