Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to episode 43, the Adventures and Adversity
- 0:04Podcast. For those of you who are new to
- 0:07the show, we have some return listeners here, but basically
- 0:11it's a podcast about how people are turning life's toughest
- 0:16adversity into an adventure across every area of life, all
- 0:21ages, people from all walks of life, how they've turned
- 0:25adversity into an adventure. So with that, Rhonda, I would
- 0:29like to thank you again for joining.
- 0:32I've been really looking forward to meeting you.
- 0:35I've been reading about you and just kind of doing a little bit
- 0:38of research 'cause I'm, I've just been extremely excited to
- 0:41connect with you. So Rhonda Farah, thank you so
- 0:44much for joining us. Yeah, I am great.
- 0:50It is Friday, it's a beautiful day and I get to be inspired by
- 0:56yet another guest, so I'm doing pretty well.
- 0:58OK, wonderful. You're the title of your podcast
- 1:02Adventures and Adversity. I mean, not only resonated with
- 1:07me, it grabbed me OK because that's, I mean, that's what I
- 1:12do. As an alchemist, a former
- 1:13psychotherapist and educational counselor, I understood real
- 1:23clearly that it's the good stuff, the joys, the successes,
- 1:30but as well as that not so good stuff, the adversity.
- 1:34And I've had plenty of adventures in adversity.
- 1:38And I am here to not only share them, but to let our viewers and
- 1:43listeners know that it did make me stronger.
- 1:48And so that's that's why this is such an important place for me
- 1:54to be right now, because not a whole lot of people talk about
- 1:59adversity or everything's really going well and as they look in
- 2:03the mirror, which is why my brand now is fix your reflection
- 2:07first and live your best life ever.
- 2:09And love that. It's they look in the mirror and
- 2:12they say, oh, wait a minute, everything's not so good.
- 2:15I mean, it might look good on the outside, but when 1 looks in
- 2:18the mirror and I know what are you really seeing?
- 2:23Who are you really seeing? Are you understanding that it's
- 2:27that not so good stuff in your life that's OK?
- 2:31More than OK. It's actually essential as far
- 2:33as I'm concerned. So alchemy is the precursor to
- 2:39chemistry. I am not a left brain person.
- 2:42I never took chemistry in high school or college.
- 2:46I think it was called environmental science that I
- 2:49went that route. But the the irony of all that is
- 2:55it takes we need to mix that stuff together and make it work
- 3:00for us rather than anything less.
- 3:03And that's what I do as an alchemist, as a coach, as a
- 3:06writer, as a speaker. I help people help themselves to
- 3:09do that and to look in their mirror and say, hey, I love you
- 3:14no matter what, just the way you are.
- 3:16You're good, OK? The, the when you mentioned the
- 3:21part about looking in the mirror, that that is, I love
- 3:25that you have that motto and mantra of fix your reflection
- 3:29first, because I feel like a lot of people will avoid looking in
- 3:33the mirror, not just to avoid like the physical, but that's
- 3:36where you really meet yourself where like when you really look
- 3:40in. I did some mirror work through
- 3:42some therapy and I was like, whoa, this is this is real When
- 3:45you really look at yourself. Yeah, it's.
- 3:48It is and I think about all the times I also, you know, I'm not
- 3:55immune to those days where this is not going so good.
- 4:02I still love and like myself just the way I am not immune to
- 4:06any of that. What?
- 4:07So what I ask and invite clients to do or audiences is nothing
- 4:13short of what I will do myself. Yeah.
- 4:17And that I think that's important to realize that you're
- 4:22going to have those ups and downs, those bumps in the road.
- 4:26So what, what do you want to do about it?
- 4:28And I also believe and sometimes audiences, I haven't had anyone
- 4:32walk out yet, but they will go up one side and down the other.
- 4:36When I say we call it all forward, the good stuff as well
- 4:41as the not so good stuff. And it's necessary.
- 4:45The joy as well as the crap, all of it is necessary.
- 4:50And we call it forward. We really do.
- 4:52I have called all my escapades and adventures and adversity
- 4:55forward. I take responsibility for that,
- 4:58even on a subconscious level. And I got to decide what I was
- 5:03going to do about it. It's it's free, freeing yourself
- 5:09from the share. Let me, let me.
- 5:11I'm so glad the title appealed to you because that's exactly
- 5:14what I'm going for is it's not being, it's not like blocking
- 5:19out your past, right? Like you said, bringing it all
- 5:22forward. It's part of that alchemy, like
- 5:24it mixes with the good to create to actually help you find out
- 5:28who you are. Yes.
- 5:30Right. To peel away the onion skin as I
- 5:35as I've learned to do quite well and lots of tears because when
- 5:40you peel an onion, you sometime get tears.
- 5:42However, tears are signs of side of growth.
- 5:46Laughter is a sign of growth. And I'm here to say that even in
- 5:49some of the most precarious situations that I never thought
- 5:52I'd find myself in, I always was weeping or laughing.
- 5:56So that's a sign of growth. And you make a great point the
- 6:03the adversity. It's like not to forget about
- 6:07it. Or I put it like, don't shove
- 6:10those things down because what will happen is honest to
- 6:15goodness at the most inappropriate time, it will just
- 6:21seize. It will seize like like it.
- 6:25And I hate to be so blunt, but I will because you'll find through
- 6:27this interview I might get blunt.
- 6:29Is that when you push everything down?
- 6:32It's like not flushing the toilet, OK?
- 6:36It will come back up like when you have a house full of guests.
- 6:40OK, that's inopportune. So stop pushing all your boy.
- 6:45No, no pun intended. Stop moving all your kids
- 6:49around, OK? Stop pushing it all down because
- 6:52it's going to come up at the most inopportune time.
- 6:55Take care of it, as you say, OK? Anger, resentment, fear, doubt,
- 7:01worry. Thank you for stopping by.
- 7:04All right? Yeah, I'm all of those things.
- 7:06I'm sad. I'm.
- 7:07I'm disgusted. I'm everything in between.
- 7:10Thank you for stopping by and letting me in on what it is that
- 7:15I have to learn so that I'm feeling these feelings.
- 7:21That is an amazing analogy that I've never I've never thought
- 7:24about it that way, that when literally you, you, you shove it
- 7:27down and you're not really getting rid of it.
- 7:29It comes up. It's going to find a way out.
- 7:32If you do not like make it seem or feel it or experience it,
- 7:37right, that resentment now, how do you do you?
- 7:41And then I want to get into a lot of your life as well and
- 7:43just how you've come to this place.
- 7:46But I think you help people actually deal with it, right?
- 7:54So that it doesn't come up at the inopportune time.
- 7:58That's become your life's work, right?
- 8:00It's helping people find themselves.
- 8:02And, and help them help themselves.
- 8:05I mean, as when I in another life when I was a
- 8:09psychotherapist, you know, I became very debilitated because
- 8:13I was taking it all on. I wasn't shaking it off.
- 8:16I'm taking it on. And then people, Oh my God, I've
- 8:19been going to you for a month and, well, I've had three
- 8:24sessions with you. And I would say even as an
- 8:29alchemist now in a coach, well, how long did it take you to have
- 8:33this lousy relationship with your daughter?
- 8:36Oh, my God, it took years. And I go, well, you know what,
- 8:40honey? I'm good, but I'm not that good.
- 8:42I haven't. I I have a Harry Potter wand.
- 8:45I do, but I won't use it because I'm here to help you, help
- 8:49yourself. And so my style is not for
- 8:56everyone. I'm not everyone's gal, which
- 8:59has been proven many times over. Hey, yeah.
- 9:02You know, but I will help you help yourself if you choose to
- 9:10do that, if you choose to understand that whatever it is
- 9:15you're going through is going to guide you to help you help
- 9:20yourself. If you want to get into the it's
- 9:22not for the week apart. It's not.
- 9:26No, it's definitely not like the healing journey that led to this
- 9:30podcast. And I think everybody is on a
- 9:32journey of some kind through some adversity.
- 9:35And we're all at like different points, but we're all on some
- 9:39journey and the uncovering and like facing all of the the
- 9:44stuff. It.
- 9:47The outcome of it is so much better that the temporary pain
- 9:51of feeling it, at least you can you're kind of controlling when
- 9:54you're dealing with it versus it popping up at a random like I'm
- 9:56going to deal with it right now, I'm going to feel it, I'm going
- 9:59to face it versus I'm going to just push it and then hope it's
- 10:03not going to magically go away. So you've gotten to this place
- 10:10where you're in a position to help people change their lives,
- 10:13help themselves. And you, you have background as
- 10:17a psychotherapist. You are a mother.
- 10:21You have been a businesswoman. You are a businesswoman.
- 10:24You said you've done some real estate, right?
- 10:27That was all those past lives have brought me through.
- 10:31Brought you here. And so take me through just a
- 10:35little bit. You know, as much as you'd like
- 10:38the story of who you are and how and we can kind of dovetail.
- 10:42But you know, you grew up on the East Coast, you're E coaster.
- 10:45I'm an E coaster. I grew up in Connecticut and a
- 10:48largely traditional family and household.
- 10:51I had a stay at home mom and a dad preferred mom stay at home.
- 10:56I'm the oldest of three brothers and one sister.
- 11:02And so I was kind of the nurturer role model type.
- 11:08I didn't wouldn't. I didn't realize it at that
- 11:10time, but I was the. Sibling, right?
- 11:13Yeah. And I also, I grew up in an
- 11:16extended family. Many people know what that is.
- 11:18Through the 3rd grade I was grandparents, my mother, my
- 11:25father, my siblings, aunts, great aunts.
- 11:30At one time there was 13 people in the same household.
- 11:34Lots of love and lots of discipline.
- 11:37And I wouldn't have changed that for the world.
- 11:40And it was a household of primarily women.
- 11:43So there's a large female influence that nurturer, that
- 11:46caregiver. And I was thinking, yeah, I, you
- 11:51know, I want to be a psychologist when I grow up,
- 11:56whereas I'm growing, I want to be a psychologist.
- 11:59And I have plenty of credentials and have gone that route.
- 12:03Psychologist, psychotherapist, educational counselor.
- 12:11But my biggest credentials are my life.
- 12:15And that all happened. And then I call it my midlife
- 12:21crises. Around 40 years old, this all
- 12:25started to happen. I called it forward.
- 12:30I found myself facing criminal charges.
- 12:36How would you like to get a a piece of paper from the
- 12:42government that says an indictment that says United
- 12:46States of America versus Rhonda Farah somewhat daunting.
- 12:55Enter adventure. One midlife crisis adventure.
- 13:01And it was like a made for TV movie.
- 13:07So I was incarcerated for seven years in a women's federal
- 13:11prison camp in California, Northern California.
- 13:20And it was, it was really educational for me.
- 13:23But the most educational thing that happened for me was that
- 13:28onion skin was getting peeled away.
- 13:32I know for a long time, God, I call it God.
- 13:36Some people say universe divine spirit was trying to get my
- 13:39attention because I went into this business type world from
- 13:46the world of being of service to others and God just not was not
- 13:54getting my attention. He enlisted the help of Mother
- 13:56God many times. But no, I was just not listening
- 14:01and he said I am so sick of this woman actually, but it more
- 14:05bluntly than that. She's going in a major time out
- 14:09and I was in a major time out that pivoted me through learning
- 14:14about myself from being going and at that time with my female
- 14:18inmate friends, being of service to them emotionally and with
- 14:24respect to their own physical health and how the emotions
- 14:28determine I'll being or well-being.
- 14:31Last place I expected to be and to be pivoted back into being of
- 14:36service to others. Last place in the world I
- 14:40expected. And for those who my purported
- 14:45crimes had nothing to do with drugs or violence.
- 14:50It had to do with business, and I didn't do my homework when
- 14:55dealing with certain people. And I'm the best delegator there
- 14:58is. But you know what?
- 14:59I delegated to the wrong people and I got left holding the back.
- 15:03But it was a necessary place. What happened to me was
- 15:07necessary for my own healing and for my own understanding because
- 15:15that's where I became dedicated to helping others identify that
- 15:21authentic power within them, within each one of us to be the
- 15:26best version of ourselves. My, those are my credentials.
- 15:33There, there you go. And I didn't like it.
- 15:36No, I didn't like it at all. I didn't like it going through
- 15:39trials and every motion put in was denied for this, that, or
- 15:46the other thing. And about a year into this, I
- 15:50literally, I call it, I got my aha breath.
- 15:55My aha breath was the day I stopped hitting the telephone
- 15:59against the wall saying Get Me Out of here, whoever I was
- 16:02talking to, a friend, a family member and attorney, I just
- 16:06stopped. And I said, there it is.
- 16:10There's the aha breath. Oh well.
- 16:14Oh well. I surrendered that literally I
- 16:17and I could feel it today. I feel my goosebumps.
- 16:20My God bumps right now I. Just did too.
- 16:23I feel it. I surrendered and I said OK.
- 16:26My journey really began. I began writing more.
- 16:29I've been began teaching classes in Wellness in a federal women's
- 16:35prison camp, OK to 300 women. And I was good, you know, it was
- 16:41like, OK, I'm moving on. Yes, I miss my family.
- 16:45I've missed seven of my own birthdays, all holidays, my
- 16:49daughter, everybody, you know. And but in many ways, I do think
- 16:54it was more difficult on my family than it was on me because
- 16:59I was growing and I was, whether I liked it or not, I got to find
- 17:03the gift and blessing in this situation.
- 17:06And at that time I didn't call them gifts or blessings.
- 17:09But that is a formula for me that whatever we are going
- 17:12through, whatever crisis, whatever adversity, struggle,
- 17:17challenge the shit in our lives, understand there is a gift in
- 17:22the blessing and a blessing. If we choose to look, if we
- 17:28choose to look and if we choose to say, OK, what is the gift and
- 17:32the blessing? I do it today.
- 17:34What is the gift and the blessing in this?
- 17:36If I I count on the this I was raised Catholic, I was
- 17:44rebaptized in prison a Christian.
- 17:46OK now I honor all paths to God or whatever we all call that
- 17:51divine source and understand I don't God is all there is to me,
- 18:00but I just don't believe that God is in the sky.
- 18:04I you know, I'm not waiting for the proverbial lightning bolt
- 18:08any longer to hit me in my proverbial ass and make things
- 18:11right. That's it.
- 18:13It's not happening anymore. This is the God of my
- 18:16understanding is right here. And that's why it's so important
- 18:20not to shove feelings, to understand that what we feel
- 18:25will determine what we think will determine our external
- 18:28world. And I only believe there are two
- 18:29feelings, fear and love. If you're operating from fear,
- 18:36going to be so good with your thoughts and what you're
- 18:39creating around you. Not at all so.
- 18:46So much I'm I'm this is like I'm letting it soak into my being
- 18:51because it's so it's just So what I need to hear what This is
- 18:58why I'm just so glad that you're you're, you're so authentic.
- 19:02And I feel like, look, even just scratching the surface on your
- 19:08experience, like I could imagine you and you're saying calling
- 19:12and one day you're just stopped hitting the phone.
- 19:13Like you just said, I'm here and I'm going to like make the best
- 19:18of it, right. And what a what a difficult
- 19:24thing to do though in that setting, but what a freeing
- 19:28moment. Yet you find yourself
- 19:31incarcerated. You're you didn't, you know,
- 19:34like you said, this was not the plan.
- 19:36This was not and yet that pivotal switch, then you were
- 19:40able to help yourself and then others.
- 19:44And if somebody's sitting there listening to this and they're in
- 19:48that, that fork in the road where it's like you keep, if you
- 19:53were to keep hitting the phone and keep, you know, that
- 19:57wouldn't change your circumstance.
- 19:59So I. Was there something that went
- 20:01through your head in that moment?
- 20:02Do you remember like that aha moment?
- 20:06It was like. Remember, it was like an oh,
- 20:08well, it was a God thing. I call these things that I don't
- 20:11know what they are or how that happened.
- 20:12It it was a God thing for me. It was a God thing.
- 20:16And you're absolutely right. It was extremely freeing and but
- 20:20it was the beginning. I of course, I had my attorney.
- 20:24So no hand in this motion and that motion, deny, deny.
- 20:28Rhonda was staying then. That was after I hit the phone
- 20:31against the wall. So that all that was all
- 20:34happening on the secular level. However, I knew what I had to
- 20:39do. I had to go inward and do the
- 20:42work inside. It's an inside job.
- 20:45So, and that's why I say this is not for the faint of heart.
- 20:49If you really want to heal, no, this is not for the faint of
- 20:52heart. You must take responsibility and
- 20:56you must go through whatever it is you need to go through, drag
- 21:02yourself through and understand it is for you being the best
- 21:08version of yourself. And it's also to be in service
- 21:11to others. Everything.
- 21:12And there are a couple more escapades we'll get into here.
- 21:16Adventures. The IT was for a purpose.
- 21:22If I thought it wasn't for a purpose, I probably wouldn't.
- 21:27I know I wouldn't be here talking to you this way, but I
- 21:30probably would be very downtrodden in a victim.
- 21:34So, so. And I'm not a victim.
- 21:37I long time ago understood that martyrdom and being a victim
- 21:41were the least attractive things on me.
- 21:44And that's not me. And I got bold and courageous.
- 21:51But you know what this was was very intimidating to me early
- 21:56on. My brand has been this way for
- 21:57three years. Fix your reflection first and
- 22:00live your best life ever. But it wasn't always that way.
- 22:05I was more affected and intimidated and downtrodden by
- 22:10the prison experience than I even realized I was just, I
- 22:16mean, I've been doing 334 years. Now is when I've supposedly come
- 22:21out of the closet about this. And easier and easier.
- 22:26It invokes my healing. It invokes the healing of
- 22:29others. You may not be in a federal
- 22:32prison camp, or worse, you have other prisons.
- 22:36We all do that. We're in it's time.
- 22:40It's time and you have the keys. I used to listen to something
- 22:46when I was jogging, running on a track.
- 22:48I was always blessed. There was gifts and blessings.
- 22:51Even in prison, had a track to run on.
- 22:53I'm an avid runner. I've been a runner for over 50
- 22:54years now and I listen to this Charles Swindell, unshackled,
- 23:07Unshackled. It's time to be unshackled.
- 23:11My friends, listeners, viewers, it's time.
- 23:16It's time. Don't wait for everyone else
- 23:18around you to change thinking that oh that's going to they'll
- 23:21change and everything will be fine. 2 very important things
- 23:26change. We, we have the power to change
- 23:29ourselves. That's it.
- 23:31When we change even the smallest thing about ourselves, watch and
- 23:35see what changes and who changes around us.
- 23:38It's remarkable. It's remarkable.
- 23:40You asked me what would have happened if I kept hitting the
- 23:43phone against the wall. That's the definition of
- 23:46insanity. An example of it.
- 23:47Keep doing the same thing the way you're doing it and expect
- 23:50different results. It's messed up, OK.
- 23:55Yeah, Nope. The the, everything that you're
- 24:00saying it all, it points to this sort of divinity within that,
- 24:06regardless of your circumstance. Like when you say that we create
- 24:11our own prisons. So true, so true.
- 24:14Physically, mentally, you, you, you convince yourself of things
- 24:19or pay attention to the critics or those internal critics.
- 24:23Right. There you may as well be in a
- 24:26prison if you're, you know, and I, I want to commend you also
- 24:32speaking and owning, like you said, it gives people permission
- 24:36to kind of own themselves. That's why on this podcast too,
- 24:40it's like turning that shame or whatever or regret of the past
- 24:46and this for this podcast, it was born out of just an awful
- 24:50experience. So it's like AI was doing like a
- 24:53branding exercise and I'm like reclaim reclaiming yourself, but
- 24:58it doesn't mean forgetting right?
- 25:01It's part of the it's part of the ingredients into where you
- 25:03are now yes and some of the ingredients don't taste good,
- 25:09but they combine to make something right.
- 25:15So when you and and I do want to move on to other experiences as
- 25:21well, when you were teaching those Wellness classes to your
- 25:26peers, to fellow inmates, I'm sure that that you sort of
- 25:32surrendering you, you probably saw that ripple effect of that
- 25:39during a a very difficult time, obviously for all of you.
- 25:44Tell me about what that aha moment then did for the people
- 25:48around you and then for the rest of your time there.
- 25:54It gave them an aha moment because I am, I am.
- 25:58My strength is my vulnerability. I'm very vulnerable the
- 26:03especially these days. It's very you hold me up to the
- 26:07light. You're going to see what you
- 26:08get. If you like it, fine.
- 26:09If you don't like it, that's OK too.
- 26:11That's the second thing I was going to say.
- 26:14I no longer I care, but I don't care what other people think of
- 26:18me. I care what I think of me when I
- 26:21look in that mirror. I care deeply when I look at me.
- 26:25So giving those women an I ha moment are saying, oh, I'll do
- 26:30journaling. I will walk on the track when I
- 26:34get home. I go, it's not going to happen,
- 26:36honey, it's not going to happen. When you get home, you got your
- 26:39kids, you got to get a job, you got to pay your rent, You got
- 26:44all these things that are functioning out in the outside
- 26:50world. So if you want to do this, and
- 26:56the interesting part about that, that Wellness class that I was
- 26:59teaching, I was asked by people at the Bureau of Prisons, hey
- 27:07Farah, because they call you by your last name and you want to
- 27:12teach some classes. We need somebody to help this
- 27:15thing, a drug program and those who took the classes, not just
- 27:20my class, it was a whole entourage of people.
- 27:22I was the only inmate teaching the class, but I they got a year
- 27:27off their sentence. So after about a year of doing
- 27:30this, I went to my counselor and I said, do you think that I
- 27:35could get a year off my sentence because I'm teaching?
- 27:39And he said no, no way. Fair.
- 27:41You don't have a drug crime. I go, oh, OK.
- 27:46That was all I said. Yeah, you're like, OK, I'm just
- 27:49asking. Then I'd asked.
- 27:51All right, so. But it it gave.
- 27:55We're all that we, we're we're never alone and we're the same.
- 28:01It took a while when when an authority at the prison would
- 28:04say, well, where do you live? I said, I live in Pebble Beach.
- 28:08No, Farrah, where do you live? They meant where do you live?
- 28:13Like the, the dorm in Northern where they were doing.
- 28:17They were dormitory style. And you started at the ghetto,
- 28:21they called it when you first came in.
- 28:23C4 was the ghetto then and then I was in the honors dorm.
- 28:29Couldn't be in C2 because that was where the drug people were,
- 28:33OK, They were, they had to do their courses and stuff.
- 28:36C3 over food service. I and I love to cook over food
- 28:41service. That was the honors dorm and
- 28:43that's where God put and I said, OK, well, no, I live in C3.
- 28:49You know, it's like put the, the whole whoa, I wrapped my head up
- 28:54where I live in Pebble Beach. You know, I'm, I don't know what
- 28:57to do right now, but. That's where I live, yeah.
- 29:01No, not any longer. So yeah, it was getting to the
- 29:08end. And when some of my peers, as
- 29:12you say, and they were my peers, well, you're living, you're from
- 29:16Pebble Beach or you're not like us.
- 29:18And then I would relay a story that no, I didn't grow up with,
- 29:26grow up with a spoon in my mouth at all.
- 29:29And we had our chores to do at home.
- 29:33And we were either gardening, cleaning the house, sweeping the
- 29:37curb, washing the cars. And they got to know me, the
- 29:41real me, a lot of me. And when one of my friends when
- 29:46we were children would say, what do you get for an allowance?
- 29:51I go, we don't get an allowance. And one day 2 of my brothers and
- 29:56I, we went to my dad so and so says they get an allowance.
- 30:00How come we don't get an allowance?
- 30:02And my father, God rest his soul, said you get to live here.
- 30:08I allow you to live. I.
- 30:09Allow you to live here and these are your things, these are your
- 30:12chores. And we had, we haven't had an
- 30:15upbringing like that. And it was a great upbringing.
- 30:18We have responsibilities. And yeah, we were expected to
- 30:23get no allowance, OK. And to our responsibilities, but
- 30:28we are very loved and we're very privileged.
- 30:31We wanted for nothing. So it gave those a sense that
- 30:40even though I was standing in front of them teaching, I was
- 30:45still entertaining and they liked me.
- 30:48I liked them and but there was no, you're not going to pass
- 30:53this if you don't do certain things.
- 30:58And I said the biggest reason you should do this is because
- 31:02you're going to get a year off your sentence.
- 31:06And then it became crystal clear.
- 31:09So there was no that separation that was we are more similar
- 31:14than we are different. And that's if people would
- 31:17understand that there would be, I think, less conflict within
- 31:23themselves, within their families, their communities,
- 31:26communities within this world. And I really believe that.
- 31:30Yeah, like you said, the emotions like we're either
- 31:34operating out of fear, right out of fear based, like looking at
- 31:38the world through that fear based lens, right, or love and
- 31:41you can feel it almost as you do more healing work.
- 31:46I'm I'm about two years into my like, oh shit healing journey.
- 31:50Like whoa, this is real like that was around 42.
- 31:54I was like midlife, like all sorts of things.
- 31:56So when you I was just nodding because I'm like yes, yes, it's
- 32:00not for the faint of a heart. However, it the returns you
- 32:04start to get once you like free yourself.
- 32:07Are you literally are like life, everything is different yes,
- 32:12just the it's just the the healing is worth the work.
- 32:16And I can imagine the gift that you were giving yourself and
- 32:21your peers during that time. I mean, that's that's so
- 32:26transformative. Right back, yeah, to being a
- 32:31service to others, because that's why we're all here.
- 32:34That's why we're here. So take me through.
- 32:39So you, you spent seven years there, and I know that that was
- 32:44not the only adversity that was waiting for you in your past.
- 32:49Oh, no. Right.
- 32:50And that was probably, I call it today, the the least adversity I
- 32:58do. And I also believe that what we
- 33:00go through prepares us for what we is coming.
- 33:04And it might not be something not so good.
- 33:08It may even our successes prepare us for something else to
- 33:12be successful in sure. So for about 11 months, I know I
- 33:20had a lump on my breast. I did not there OK, which is
- 33:26another story. I wouldn't believe in the
- 33:28medical that they had and I just said this is not this can't be.
- 33:35And through prayer, through affirmation, I said, I just got
- 33:40to get home. And a couple of my friends that
- 33:45knew, you know, they said, oh, let's make the eucalyptus tea.
- 33:50So I said sure, I'll try it. Sure.
- 33:53Why not? Why not?
- 33:54I mean, there were certain things you could do and certain
- 33:57things, you know, we couldn't do.
- 33:58But we could take eucalyptus leaves and make tea and put an
- 34:02orange in and it wouldn't be considered a alcoholic beverage.
- 34:06OK, so now that wasn't working, but it was interesting because
- 34:10some days I said, oh, it's it's leaving.
- 34:13The lump is leaving on my right breast.
- 34:15It's leaving. It's leaving.
- 34:17And then it would be back. Yeah.
- 34:20So I held, held everything at Bay.
- 34:23I still was doing my running. I was doing weight training with
- 34:28the girls on a very antiquity, antiquity primeval weight pile
- 34:37that we had. But it was a gift and it was a
- 34:39blessing. And yeah, see, I remember
- 34:45thinking, no, this can't be happening.
- 34:49This isn't happening. OK.
- 34:51But it was. And 11 months, I was released
- 34:56later than my release date, of course, because there was a
- 35:00purpose for me being there a little longer.
- 35:03And I went home. I went to my doctor.
- 35:07Yeah. Oh, first I went to a halfway
- 35:09house. And the federal government in
- 35:12the this was the this was primeval to in a in Northern
- 35:17California. And I was the only woman in this
- 35:24halfway house. And so I said, how's this going
- 35:29to work? They took everyone off the high.
- 35:32It was a Victorian home. They took everyone off the top
- 35:35floor and put me up there with the offices.
- 35:38OK. And everybody else was crowded
- 35:43together from whoever they took off.
- 35:46And I said OK, and I told them I have a lump on my breast and
- 35:49they couldn't wait to get rid of me.
- 35:54They could not wait to get rid of me.
- 35:56I went to my doctor. Long story short, yes, you do.
- 36:00You've got to go right now. I have a mammogram.
- 36:03I did. You've got to do this right now
- 36:05today have a biopsy and in none other than breast cancer
- 36:10awareness month 10/10/22 thousand and five.
- 36:17I was diagnosed with breast breast cancer nearly stage 3.
- 36:25OK, but wow. And you know, having to repeat
- 36:31that to family and friends, everybody calling how was it?
- 36:33I said well, not the best news but not the worst news and I
- 36:38remember saying that so many times and I believe that it's
- 36:42not the best news but it's not the worst news.
- 36:45Had the best, they called him the best breast guy surgery in
- 36:51the United States in Monterey, CA best oncologist and I but he
- 37:00had this year I went back into fear.
- 37:03I don't like hospitals, I don't like doctors.
- 37:05I don't know. I don't like operations.
- 37:08I really like my breast and my friends would say we'll get you
- 37:11another breast. I said well, I don't want I
- 37:15don't want to do this. I don't want to do this.
- 37:17It's like a refute, like I don't want to do this.
- 37:21It's like the almost the phone moment, right?
- 37:22Like I don't want. To do this, that's right.
- 37:24And then a friend of mine that worked at Trader Joe's, I don't
- 37:30know if I could have said that, but I'd said it anyway.
- 37:33Trader Joe's, she worked there and she brought home a card,
- 37:38Medical Ching gong practitioner. I called and I had a few
- 37:44sessions and nobody liked that I was putting off chemotherapy.
- 37:51Right. I went to a few sessions and
- 37:56involved chanting movement. I could still run and a lot of
- 38:05ironically enough, and I just thought of this now, mirror work
- 38:08in front of we had long mirrors in the house and we also had
- 38:14dogs. And so I'd be chanting and the
- 38:18dogs would be howling. And I said, this is pretty deep.
- 38:22This is like a reverberation and there's the mirror coming at you
- 38:27about 3 weeks of that and this gentleman said go back to your
- 38:34oncologist and get a ultrasound because Western medicine has the
- 38:40best diagnostic tools. I went back to my daughter with
- 38:48and Nancy said to me, the oncologist, she said, I don't
- 38:55know what you're doing, but you're shrinking your tube.
- 39:00My daughter's head spun around on her neck and said, you're
- 39:04buying this shit too. And I knew then, OK, I got some
- 39:10fears here and I got to get over.
- 39:14But I knew the power within me was moving and bigger and bigger
- 39:20because I knew if I could do that.
- 39:22But I got through the prison, but now I I could do that.
- 39:26Wow, this I'm going to be all right.
- 39:29I kept kept everyone at Bay and I said, OK, I'm starting
- 39:35chemotherapy. I did OK.
- 39:37So get over my fear that as a matter of fact had an adverse
- 39:41reaction, the second tier of it. And I couldn't breathe.
- 39:46But I didn't know I was all and technician was watching me said
- 39:51you feel all right? I said, yeah, I feel fine.
- 39:52Why? And next thing I know, here
- 39:55comes a crash cart and here comes oxygen and everything in
- 39:59between. And they just said that's you're
- 40:06having a reaction. We watch for this, the second
- 40:09tier. And I said, oh, and I had an
- 40:13oncologist and her dad was an oncologist and too they both
- 40:17came in. I said, OK, I feel all right now
- 40:21let's continue. And they said, Oh no, this is
- 40:24enough for today. I just wanted to do it.
- 40:26You know, I this, this was my mission now I just wanted to do
- 40:30this. So I went away for a week
- 40:33because every week and gift and a blessing and everything.
- 40:36I being the avid runner, I was not running as quickly, but I
- 40:41was running and had my dog with me and I felt several times it
- 40:50was on the not pavement but in the park and you know, bleeding
- 40:56and everything else. But I get up, I get up because
- 41:00the object of falling down is so one can get up.
- 41:03That's it I got up, dog is licking my wounds.
- 41:07This happened like 3 times but it wasn't from the chemo, it was
- 41:12because my gate wasn't proper and I tripped over a route or a
- 41:17rock or something like that. Yeah, yeah.
- 41:20But I knew I had a window of time.
- 41:22My head was now shaved because I couldn't stand it on the pillow.
- 41:27Now the hair on the pillow head shaved and my bandana, my do rag
- 41:33as my and I was I knew in my window.
- 41:39Chemo was on Thursday morning at 11:00 knew my window I had until
- 41:45Friday morning. I got that little jog in and
- 41:50then I went to bed for two days. So if I wanted to jog, if I
- 41:54wanted to vacuum, whatever I wanted to do, I knew I had my
- 41:57window. But I was still the gift and the
- 41:59blessings still came to me even though I'm person's never taken
- 42:04any St. drugs in my life. And all of a sudden, that was my
- 42:08biggest fear going on table. This can't be happening.
- 42:13But it was being treated. And then the day came to clean
- 42:16out the margins. My daughter was with me again.
- 42:22A blessing Surgical center, not the hospital.
- 42:26OK. And I'm laying in a Gurney and
- 42:28it's a beautiful day in Monterey, CA, and I'm by the
- 42:31window and I'm having a talk, having a talk with Scott.
- 42:36I'm starting to go into that little fear thing again,
- 42:39operations, things like that. And nurse came over and I was
- 42:46sad. I said, yeah, I'm having a
- 42:47little talk with God. I need.
- 42:49I was asking for a sign that everything's going to be all
- 42:52right. And I had told my daughter
- 42:57before I went in to get the margins, claims Amanda, I'm
- 43:00going to dance at your wedding and see my grandchildren and
- 43:06vote to pass the nurse who would be my OR nurse?
- 43:14Oh, yeah, you're you're going to be all right.
- 43:17And then she touched my head and she said, oh, look, your hair's
- 43:20coming back. Little Peach fuzz.
- 43:24And she pulled back her skullcap and she said, maybe it'll come
- 43:27back like mine, Curly. That was my sign.
- 43:33Here was a person as the goosebumps God bumps again.
- 43:37I just got him too. It she's that was I, I asked and
- 43:42you know, I asked and you shall receive.
- 43:45And she said to me, yeah, maybe it'll come back early like mine.
- 43:51I knew then I'm gonna be all right.
- 43:53This woman was put here for me to show me that she is all
- 43:57right, so she can help other people help themselves.
- 44:03So it was moving along. And then I went through that and
- 44:09got into recovery. I had a bail nurse and he was
- 44:12just great, joking around with me.
- 44:14And my daughter's looking at me. And he goes, Rhonda, Rhonda, are
- 44:17you all right? Are you all right?
- 44:18I go, I think so. Can I have a glass of wine?
- 44:24My daughter said, oh, she's going to be fine.
- 44:27She's that's Mom. Yeah, it's.
- 44:29Going to be fine, OK, You know, So it was.
- 44:33And then 35 bouts of radiation after that, which I drove myself
- 44:37to. And at the end of that process,
- 44:42it's like the suntan I didn't want on this dress, but it was
- 44:48OK. And after 35 or 36 blasts, one
- 44:55rings a bell. When you ring the bell, you're
- 44:57done. You're done with that.
- 45:00And so I was quite proud of myself.
- 45:02And it again, that whole prison thing, whatever you want to call
- 45:09it, incarceration, all of that and the emotions and the
- 45:13feelings and finding my, my sense of self there.
- 45:17Because that was the biggest thing I lost.
- 45:19I lost my sense of self. OK, here we go.
- 45:22Now we're going to go into the hospital and do this.
- 45:27OK. This is escapade.
- 45:28That's as adventure #2 my midlife crisis and I was in
- 45:33service to others. Again, I was in not going into
- 45:36the hospital just for my own treatment.
- 45:38I was going in to facilitate core support group for women
- 45:45undergoing breast cancer. And actually, there was one man,
- 45:48because men get breast cancer too.
- 45:51Yeah. That was really a pivotal moment
- 45:54where I took the psychotherapy. When I was diagnosed, I took
- 45:58that psychotherapy hat off and I began to understand how the
- 46:03emotions caused dis ease. As Louise Hay would say, dis
- 46:12ease. And wouldn't you know that
- 46:16incidence of breast cancer in women is due largely to their
- 46:23inability to nurture and nourish themselves?
- 46:28Here I am. Can you hear me?
- 46:33Yeah, I can. I can hear you.
- 46:34I just lost you there for one second.
- 46:36OK, now. OK.
- 46:37No, I can. So, OK, go ahead.
- 46:40So you, you had started the support group and you said you
- 46:43took your the emotions. That's where I.
- 46:46Locked. Yes, that's when the
- 46:48psychotherapy hat came off because when I was diagnosed
- 46:52with breast cancer, I did my own research because I was in I'm in
- 46:56the emotional and cognitive world and how it causes disease
- 47:00or not I'll being or well-being. And what happened was I
- 47:05discovered that incidence of breast cancer in women is due to
- 47:11the fact that we are unable or won't nourish ourselves, nurture
- 47:16ourselves. We're very good at doing it for
- 47:19others, OK, whether it's clients, whether it's children,
- 47:23whether it's family members, partners.
- 47:26And I said, that's the switch, OK, a new hat got put on.
- 47:31And then as I've got more into this, well, look, I'm looking.
- 47:34I'm doing pretty good here with all the shit that's happened in
- 47:38my life. That's why I was, you know,
- 47:40living in Pebble Beach. Then I went to the ghetto and I
- 47:43went to surgery or hospital. You know, I'm feeling really
- 47:47empowered. And I said, yeah, there's
- 47:52something to this. And that's when I continued on
- 47:54that frame. And again, one thing prepares us
- 47:58for the next thing. Not one, but very short lived
- 48:04marriages, both to women. That was it.
- 48:14They didn't want me. They want me back now.
- 48:16But no, that's not happening. I can't, no, I can't repeat that
- 48:19pattern again. No, but very the most difficult
- 48:24of all those three things, the betrayal, the like abandonment,
- 48:29the sense of who am I now? I needed more work, so that
- 48:35needed to be happen. That needed to happen.
- 48:39It show it's like almost like the things that are happening
- 48:44and the emotions that come like you were talking about before
- 48:46they they're they're pointing you to what they're showing you
- 48:50what needs to be worked on right.
- 48:53They're there to what is it someone said to like their,
- 48:56their, their signals. Like usually we run from them,
- 49:00right? Like I don't want to feel that
- 49:01because it's like it's never going to end, but it's actually
- 49:04never going to end if you don't feel that's right.
- 49:07That's right. You want to it's you know, I'm
- 49:11in the gym when somebody says how was it?
- 49:13I go, it's good, it's over. And I actually like, I like
- 49:17working out totally. So again, it I can't impress
- 49:26upon our listeners and our viewers that what's coming, no
- 49:31matter how daunting, how painful, it's preparing you for
- 49:35something else when you get to be the best version of yourself.
- 49:39Today I, I came here on a work project.
- 49:42I was going back to Connecticut after the last divorce and a
- 49:50friend asked me to help out her mother-in-law, Alzheimer's
- 49:59dementia, but high function, high functioning.
- 50:05And I they said can you give us a year?
- 50:08I got a year. I've been here for years.
- 50:11October 4th, my client, my sidekick as I call her, went to
- 50:22memory care last week so and she went on my birthday last
- 50:29Thursday and she is not liking it.
- 50:35I remember those days, some things I didn't like.
- 50:40One day at a time, one day at a time.
- 50:44And it's extremely symbolic that she began a new adventure and I
- 50:48began a new adventure because it's time to go.
- 50:52It's time to go now. And all of these adventures have
- 50:59prompted me to write. I was writing a book from PTA to
- 51:04prison, my journey in consciousness to my own
- 51:07transformation. I was running here two years ago
- 51:13in Colorado Springs, and in between the sidewalk and the
- 51:19curve there was a miracle growing up.
- 51:24I took a picture of it and it's now will be the cover of my
- 51:28book, Growing Where I Am Planted, my journey and
- 51:32consciousness to my transformation.
- 51:35So I'm going to be planted somewhere else.
- 51:39And all this now is it will help people to understand that Grow
- 51:46where you are planted. It's no accidents.
- 51:49I do not believe in accidents, coincidence or happenstance.
- 51:53Not at all. We're where we are where we are
- 51:56supposed to be, just like we're here right now when we are
- 52:00supposed to be there. And this moment will determine
- 52:03the moment when we get off camera for each of us
- 52:07individually, together with our families, with our communities.
- 52:11It will determine tomorrow, next week, next month, next year.
- 52:17You must be in the moment. I know that sounds so corny.
- 52:20So many people use it. Be in the in moment because
- 52:25that's all we have. That's all we have.
- 52:31Beautiful and that's where the when you're in the moment,
- 52:35that's where the healing happens right when you're actually Oh
- 52:40yes, I mean this is I feel like and I always tell this to my
- 52:45guests. I could talk to you for hours
- 52:48and go deeply into many of these chapters.
- 52:53But I think what I'm taking from you is, like you said, being in
- 52:57the moment and then tapping into like this inner strength that we
- 53:03have. Like you find yourself in places
- 53:05you never thought you would be surrendering.
- 53:08And then like, what are you going to do with that, right?
- 53:12The alchem alchemizing whatever situation you're in, right?
- 53:15Absolutely. Because we have that power
- 53:17within us. We absolutely do.
- 53:20It's not just me. We are all our own guru.
- 53:23We are we. We are.
- 53:28And it's quite a life altering realization since I've been
- 53:31doing this podcast that the strength of the human spirit and
- 53:36like what people are able to get through and like what they
- 53:40actually change it into even better.
- 53:43Than even better than before, right?
- 53:46Yeah. And you know, my life looks very
- 53:48different than it did in 20 years ago.
- 53:55It looks very different and it's OK because I got my sense of
- 54:01self back. I know my inner strength and I
- 54:04better because I teach this. I live it and breathe.
- 54:08And many people say well how do you live an empowered life?
- 54:12How do you fix your reflection? First I'll give you 2 tips.
- 54:15Fix your How do you How do you fix your reflection?
- 54:17First to be gentle with yourself.
- 54:20Be gentle, be kind to yourself, nourish yourself.
- 54:25Selfishness is the least is the most selfless thing one can do,
- 54:32especially as a woman. It's OK.
- 54:35I'm not talking about the selfish.
- 54:36Selfish where you step on people or you hurt others.
- 54:40No, sure, selfish understand that you deserve, you are
- 54:45enough, you are important. What you say and what you do
- 54:51matters. It's not just everyone around
- 54:54us. What we say and what we do
- 54:56matters. That's understand that.
- 54:58That's how you fix your reflection.
- 55:00First look in the mirror. What I say and what I do
- 55:02matters. I'm enough.
- 55:05Just the way I am with a nick on my right breast.
- 55:09I'm still enough. Nobody ever complained.
- 55:12OK, so hey, I told you I can go go there.
- 55:18But. You know what?
- 55:19It's OK. I can't do, it's okay.
- 55:23And as I as I get more and more authentic, I don't care.
- 55:26So it's it's a beautiful thing. To not care.
- 55:29And how do you live an empowered life?
- 55:31I would tell you I'm an alchemist.
- 55:33Remember, I have a formula for living in an empowered life.
- 55:37Gratitude plus forgiveness equals living the life you
- 55:42desire, living the life you perhaps dream about, living the
- 55:45life you want to live rather than anything less.
- 55:49Gratitude from the smallest to the largest things.
- 55:54That's the formula Gratitude plus forgiveness.
- 55:58Gratitude we know about Yeah, OK, write it down or you say it
- 56:04right. Do that keep doing a gratitude
- 56:07in the morning and and the forgiveness on the other hand
- 56:10has a very bad rap forgiveness of yourself and of others.
- 56:17That's what must happen, that. That's the only way the the
- 56:26putting down the the resentment and the guilt and the shame
- 56:32Can't. You can't.
- 56:34You got to alchemize that, right?
- 56:35It's almost like what I've learned too is when I'm not
- 56:38forgiving someone, why should I be forgiven then, right?
- 56:43It's like everybody is. Everybody is needs to be
- 56:47forgiven. Forgiven beginning.
- 56:49Forgive beginning with yourself. Do we have a moment just to give
- 56:53a tool that people can? Yeah.
- 56:55OK, here's a tool for the forgiveness.
- 56:57OK, that OK, Nobody likes that word, but it's necessary.
- 57:02Forgiveness. Begin with yourself.
- 57:06Take a piece of paper and write a letter to yourself.
- 57:13Write a letter to yourself. It could begin like this.
- 57:18I'll use myself as an example. Dear Rhonda, I've been, I have
- 57:24been meaning to write to you for some time.
- 57:29First of all, how are you? New period.
- 57:35Remember when you went to prison, you had breast cancer.
- 57:42You had failed divorces and failed relationships.
- 57:46Divorces. Remember all that?
- 57:49I know you did not mean to hurt me.
- 57:53I forgive you. You're writing to yourself.
- 57:55I know you did not mean to hurt me.
- 58:00I forgive you. Aha.
- 58:04Breath. There's the R.
- 58:05That's a confirming breath. Next, take another piece of
- 58:10paper. OK, Pick a person that you feel
- 58:14has harmed you. I want you to write them a
- 58:17letter. And usually everyone looks at me
- 58:20and says, oh, no, no, you don't have to mail it.
- 58:25OK, It's a little easier. Dear person that hurt me.
- 58:31I've been meaning to write to you for some time.
- 58:36First of all, how are you? Remember when you left me
- 58:42holding the bag on that business deal and I went to prison?
- 58:45Remember when you betrayed me? When you abandoned me?
- 58:52Remember when you caused my financial ruin?
- 58:57These are three different people.
- 59:00I know you did not mean to hurt me, and I forgive you.
- 59:07When we don't forgive, it only hurts us.
- 59:10It doesn't mean you have to get back in the sack or the saddle
- 59:14or any with anybody. But what it does mean is that
- 59:17you have released them. You have released the toxicity
- 59:20and the negativity that is just spewing within you which does
- 59:25cause disease. Research fears that on you.
- 59:29Do you want to live an empowered life?
- 59:31The life you desire? Gratitude plus forgiveness
- 59:36equals living an empowered life. Amazing message and thank you
- 59:48for boiling it down to that because I'm taking I know when
- 59:53when we go on our own paths, hopefully I can talk to you
- 59:58again too. I'm going to remember the
- 1:00:01fixture reflection first, the gratitude and the plus
- 1:00:04forgiveness. And when you said like all of
- 1:00:06that is spewing around like it's so true.
- 1:00:09And I think being able to. Doing that right is going to
- 1:00:17take you to a different level of consciousness, which you said
- 1:00:19like in your book, your book that's going to come out.
- 1:00:21It's all about like peeling away so that you're more conscious,
- 1:00:26right and less like trapped. Rhonda, I want to thank you.
- 1:00:34I know we're coming up to about an hour here.
- 1:00:36I thank you so much for being a guest on the podcast, for being
- 1:00:41so vulnerable, authentic. I don't take it lightly when
- 1:00:46somebody shares their story and you know, you are now a part of
- 1:00:52my journey and my sort of in service to others.
- 1:00:55Like I would like to create this space and and you're a part of
- 1:01:00that where people can bring their stories and we all
- 1:01:04alchemize this together without shame and bringing it forward.
- 1:01:08I love that, like not pushing it like this is part of me, but I
- 1:01:13am alchemizing like all the time.
- 1:01:15Absolutely. This.
- 1:01:17This has been a pleasure. Yeah, this has been an absolute
- 1:01:21pleasure. And I, I would like to leave our
- 1:01:29listeners and viewers with a couple of things, if I may.
- 1:01:33Please do. First of all, whatever struggle
- 1:01:37or challenge you are going through right now, realize that
- 1:01:40you are not alone. Reach out.
- 1:01:44Whether you reach out to a friend, a trusted friend, a
- 1:01:49companion, a partner, whether you reach out to me or someone
- 1:01:53else, reach out. I do Ioffer strictly for women.
- 1:02:01Fix your reflection first. Group coach, take your first
- 1:02:05config bell reflection first and live your best sight ever.
- 1:02:11So Ioffer that. The other thing is whatever any
- 1:02:15of us is going through, remember the light that you see shining
- 1:02:20at you at the end of that tunnel, whatever, wherever you
- 1:02:22have to be going through. I like that door.
- 1:02:28I'm on a call. That's all right.
- 1:02:32Whatever, wherever, that light is not a train coming at you.
- 1:02:37That light is the way. It's the truth.
- 1:02:40It's the guidance, it's the blueprint so that you can take
- 1:02:47the best of you and that not so good stuff that happens and let
- 1:02:52it serve you rather than anything else.
- 1:02:56And I invite all my audiences, whether it's on my show or I'm a
- 1:02:59guest to I invite you Now, you don't have to do it, but I'm
- 1:03:03inviting you to treat light as if it were ice cream and enjoy
- 1:03:09it before it melts. I like that.
- 1:03:17It's a good, it's a good especially it's summer in the US
- 1:03:21and got to enjoy all of this, this journey that we're all on,
- 1:03:26right as we're alchemizing everything from adversity into
- 1:03:30adventure, right? Well, Rhonda, thank you so, so
- 1:03:35much. I'm going to put all of your
- 1:03:37information in the show notes, link to your website, your
- 1:03:40Instagram, all the things because I know that there's
- 1:03:44going to be somebody out there that's going to be affected by
- 1:03:46this. And I'm just grateful to be in
- 1:03:51your energy And I, I can't wait to keep staying connected.
- 1:03:54And thanks for just being who you are and and sharing your
- 1:03:58story with me and everybody else.
- 1:04:00It's been my pleasure, Yeah. And thank you for being so
- 1:04:05authentic yourself. Because there was.
- 1:04:08Yeah, there's a there's an alchemy.
- 1:04:10And that's what connection breeds transformation.
- 1:04:18So thank you. Thank you very much.
- 1:04:20Thank you. And have a have.
- 1:04:22A thank you dear, you too. Bye for now all.
