- 0:00Speaker 1: Swift, Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Rumors are scrolling again the musician and her filanze, Travis Kelsey,
- 0:06Speaker 2: Well til the Knight, and Madison Square Gun. Well, it
- 0:14Speaker 2: happened over the weekend, the biggest wedding ever. Our residents,
- 0:19Speaker 2: super fan of Taylor Swift, is joining us live on
- 0:22Speaker 2: the line right now. It's Georgie Toney.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Good morning, Good morning, makeue. How are you.
- 0:28Speaker 2: I'm good. How were you on Friday and more importantly Saturday.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Have you calmed down?
- 0:34Speaker 1: No? Of course not, of course not. I'm feel vibrating,
- 0:37Speaker 1: absolutely vibrating.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Like, how did you get into it?
- 0:42Speaker 1: I did what everyone who sadly did not get an
- 0:46Speaker 1: invite to the actual wedding in New York did, despite
- 0:49Speaker 1: being one of Taylor Swift's close personal friends, and that
- 0:52Speaker 1: was I took myself to a quiet corner of a
- 0:55Speaker 1: room and I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled social media
- 0:58Speaker 1: until I lost the function of my eyes. So that's
- 1:00Speaker 1: what I did so I could continue to be up
- 1:02Speaker 1: to date with absolutely everything that was happening.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Love it all, right, Well, then you'll know everything. So
- 1:07Speaker 2: tell us what did they wear?
- 1:09Speaker 1: Oh? Well, Taylor Swift was in custom to your custom
- 1:12Speaker 1: to your We still haven't seen actually any of the
- 1:15Speaker 1: photos of her. There's an AI photo that's swirling around,
- 1:19Speaker 1: but I don't think that particular cut is something that
- 1:21Speaker 1: Taylor would necessarily wear. So it was at Madison Square Garden. Obviously,
- 1:27Speaker 1: there was so so many people there. I feel like
- 1:28Speaker 1: she invited every person she's ever met. This was not
- 1:31Speaker 1: an intimate ceremony. This was a huge, huge sporting event
- 1:35Speaker 1: in terms well it seemed that way, so probably fitting
- 1:37Speaker 1: that it was at Madison Square Garden. But because of
- 1:39Speaker 1: that as well, we didn't see anything because you can
- 1:41Speaker 1: kind of like, you know, go underground. You don't get
- 1:43Speaker 1: to have glimpses of the bride and groom, which was
- 1:46Speaker 1: very purposeful from her. But she was in the custom
- 1:48Speaker 1: Christian door. JW. Anderson was the designer apparently, who was
- 1:52Speaker 1: actually really good friends with her ex Joe Always, So
- 1:55Speaker 1: that's an interesting tie in the swifties. But I do
- 2:00Speaker 1: have to say that I found that the actual dress code,
- 2:02Speaker 1: like a lot of their celebrity guests, I was very
- 2:05Speaker 1: confused by what on earth it was. Because we had
- 2:07Speaker 1: some mini dresses, we had some ball gowns, we had
- 2:10Speaker 1: ed Sheeran in like this weird electric blue, terrible looking suit.
- 2:15Speaker 1: He looked like Adam Sandler Oudam the wedding singer, which
- 2:18Speaker 1: actually turned out to be Maybe that was an omen
- 2:20Speaker 1: because apparently Adam Sandler married them.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yes, is that confirmed? We've been talking about that this morning.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Is that is that true?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, So Taylor Sabs's tree Paint did put that
- 2:29Speaker 1: in the official press release, saying that he did officiate
- 2:32Speaker 1: the wedding, and Adam Sandler is one of those figures
- 2:35Speaker 1: that you know, I think. I mean, obviously a lot
- 2:37Speaker 1: of people love him. Taylor has been on the record
- 2:39Speaker 1: say that she's loved him for a lot of her life.
- 2:41Speaker 1: But he had actually put Travis Kelsey in Happy Gilmore too,
- 2:47Speaker 1: So there is like a connection. I mean it's a
- 2:50Speaker 1: strenuous one maybe, but there's a connection there there too.
- 2:53Speaker 1: And I think that you know, when you're Taylor and
- 2:54Speaker 1: Travis and you can actually do whatever you want, they're
- 2:57Speaker 1: probably just like, maybe we get Adam to marry it,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and he did.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Right, Okay, how do you feel about it then, because
- 3:03Speaker 2: you were saying it was a little bit weird and
- 3:04Speaker 2: there's lots and lots of fans, sorry, well, no celebrities,
- 3:08Speaker 2: not even fans, like, yeah, why do a thousand people
- 3:11Speaker 2: and have all these celebrities come along?
- 3:14Speaker 1: Well, interestingly, an old Cliffer's surface of Tay from like
- 3:17Speaker 1: Graham Norton. I think it was last year after she
- 3:21Speaker 1: got engaged, and she was saying that, you know, she
- 3:23Speaker 1: had no plans to do something smaller or intimate, because
- 3:28Speaker 1: then you kind of have to pick or set up
- 3:29Speaker 1: a hierarchy with who you love and who you don't
- 3:31Speaker 1: love to just like invite everyone. And essentially that is
- 3:35Speaker 1: kind of what they did. I don't like it because
- 3:37Speaker 1: I don't like a scene, like I don't like a
- 3:39Speaker 1: huge event. And I live with the days of Taylor
- 3:41Speaker 1: when she was dating her brooding British musicians, you know,
- 3:44Speaker 1: and was like shying away from the public eye. So
- 3:47Speaker 1: I missed those days somewhat. Also, that's come out this morning.
- 3:52Speaker 1: It was apparently they were playing games throughout the night
- 3:55Speaker 1: and as part of those games you could win raffle tickets,
- 3:57Speaker 1: and as part of those raffle tickets, you could go
- 3:59Speaker 1: in the draw to with like designer handbags, the Chevro
- 4:02Speaker 1: lake car, like all of these weird things. And I
- 4:05Speaker 1: was like Okay, so it's a really like loving ceremony, right,
- 4:10Speaker 1: it's just weird, just weird.
- 4:12Speaker 2: It is a bit odd, And you're saying not really
- 4:13Speaker 2: on brand for Taylor, Well it.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Is now is this era of her life? Shall we say?
- 4:19Speaker 1: I think it's very on brand. Previous Taylor she would
- 4:21Speaker 1: not editate this. But current Taylor, especially with Travis, they're yes,
- 4:26Speaker 1: they're all They're all about it. They're all about it.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Okay, So they may have walked away with a bunch
- 4:30Speaker 2: of expensive handbags in a raffle. It sounds like you're
- 4:33Speaker 2: going to the RSL on the weekend minus the course. Yeah.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Are are there any crazy fan theories about the wedding?
- 4:43Speaker 1: Well, my favorite one currently is that tail Swift might
- 4:45Speaker 1: be coming to Australia for the honeymoon. So if that happens,
- 4:48Speaker 1: just like you know, look out for me. I'll be
- 4:51Speaker 1: doing my best investigat of journalism that going on. Maybe
- 4:54Speaker 1: have I reckon Hamilton Island that's where they go, surely, surely, surely.
- 4:58Speaker 1: But my favorite favorite one, I mean, look fifty serbcesses neurology,
- 5:02Speaker 1: so we're always looking to the number thirteen, number eighty seven.
- 5:04Speaker 1: But they got married on July three. Right, my favorite
- 5:06Speaker 1: fan theory that I've seen actually just this morning. Independence
- 5:10Speaker 1: Day is July four, So of course there's the cynics
- 5:12Speaker 1: among us who are like, well, she's actually got married
- 5:15Speaker 1: on July three, so she can call the inevitable divorce
- 5:17Speaker 1: album independence Day.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Oh god, it's a good theory though.
- 5:22Speaker 1: All right, hey, I love it. I love it.
- 5:24Speaker 2: When do you think we can expect all the photos
- 5:26Speaker 2: to come out? Is there a deal doal legazine or something? Oh?
- 5:31Speaker 1: Not yet, not yet, And I don't know. Taylor could
- 5:33Speaker 1: very much just like drop them on her own Instagram,
- 5:35Speaker 1: do you know what I mean? In a collab with Travis,
- 5:37Speaker 1: Because that's the kind of thing that they do. So
- 5:40Speaker 1: I feel like that's where the numbers will come into play.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Maybe keep an eye out for July thirteen. Maybe something
- 5:44Speaker 1: will happen there.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Ah, I gotcha. Well, Georgie, tell me, I hope you've
- 5:48Speaker 2: calmed down. What would you from what you know, what
- 5:51Speaker 2: would you rate the wedding out of ten?
- 5:53Speaker 1: Oh, it's got to be an absolute thirteen thousand out
- 5:56Speaker 1: of ten obviously obviously, Mikey and it would have thirteen
- 6:00Speaker 1: thousand and one if my invite hadn't got lost in
- 6:03Speaker 1: the mail and I was there.
- 6:04Speaker 2: All right, love it. Good to have you on. How's
- 6:07Speaker 2: the pod going? Are you still doing it? Are you
- 6:09Speaker 2: on holidays at the moment?
- 6:10Speaker 1: Nana, na, No, no, guess, Oh my god, mikeay you
- 6:13Speaker 1: love it? Yuess? Or I was last week I was
- 6:14Speaker 1: in Marone's Origin camp also yeah, yeah, yeah, So we've
- 6:18Speaker 1: got some episodes coming out this week before the Decider
- 6:20Speaker 1: of me just absolutely interrogating some of my favorites from
- 6:24Speaker 1: the Moron's set of Origin team with all the big
- 6:26Speaker 1: and of course the small questions.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Right, well, yeah, I mean the other reason we love
- 6:30Speaker 2: you is you're a big sporting expert. So what's your
- 6:32Speaker 2: prediction for the Origin on Wednesday night?
- 6:35Speaker 1: Do you know what? Marone? I think you know. I
- 6:38Speaker 1: love to be the underdog. But we were the camp
- 6:41Speaker 1: was feeling pretty chill, like everyone was looking pretty confident.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Billy's got the boys relaxed. So I'm feeling okay, I'm
- 6:47Speaker 1: feeling right.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I think le's go a word all right, tell us
- 6:49Speaker 2: about your podcast, give it a big plug too.
