  Speaker 1: mind and not like unbelievers. Because if you're not transformed,

  Speaker 1: But when you have a transformed mind and renewed heart,

  Speaker 1: because if you just follow popular teachings, you're going to

  Speaker 1: be led as straight. There's a lot of popular preachers

  Speaker 1: who are doing popular preachings that are not even biblically accurate.

  Speaker 1: So the safest way to stay biblically accurate is to

  Speaker 1: go to the Word of God. I mean, there's no brainer,

  Speaker 1: But I just need to remind you of that. We

  Speaker 1: could literally literally go to the Word of God for

  Speaker 1: ourselves to see what Holy Spirit would teach us and

  Speaker 1: guide us through. He leads us to all truth. He

  Speaker 1: doesn't lead us into error. If you follow me, I

  Speaker 1: might go into some areas that I might be in

  Speaker 1: the era if I'm not being guided by Holy Spirit

  Speaker 1: or from just having an off day and I'm just

  Speaker 1: and not realizing it. But when we're in the scriptures together, Amen,

  Speaker 1: Ephesians chapter number four. Let's get right into it, because

  Speaker 1: I know on this title, if we don't get the scriptures,

  Speaker 1: it could throw a lot of people off. But this

  Speaker 1: is what Ephesians chapter number four, seventeen to twenty four says,

  Speaker 1: with the Lord's authority, I say this, live no longer

  Speaker 1: as the gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. See

  Speaker 1: that in the society unfortunately today, their.
• 11:48
  Speaker 2: Minds are full of darkness.

  Speaker 1: They wander far from the life God gives because they

  Speaker 1: have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him.

  Speaker 1: You don't see that in the time we live in today.

  Speaker 1: I can't help you like you're you're asleep. We see

  Speaker 1: this all over the scripture, all over the world. A

  Speaker 1: man and the scriptures talking about what's happening right now

  Speaker 1: in real time in the kingdom of this world, the

  Speaker 1: kingdom of darkness. They're in darkness. They wander far from

  Speaker 1: the life God gives because they have closed their minds

  Speaker 1: and they've hardened their hearts against them. They have no

  Speaker 1: sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly
• 12:37
  Speaker 1: practice every kind of impurity. But that isn't what you

  Speaker 1: learned about Christ. Amen. Now, now Apostle Paul is saying,

  Speaker 1: that's them, that's not us. That is not what you

  Speaker 1: learned about Christ. Since you have heard about Jesus and

  Speaker 1: have learned the truth that comes from Him, throw off

  Speaker 1: your old, sinful nature and your formal way of life.

  Speaker 1: Which is corrupted by lust and deception. Okay, what is

  Speaker 1: corrupted by lust and the self? Let me help somebody
• 13:14
  Speaker 1: who's born again and still calls themselves a sinner. If

  Speaker 1: you're still calling yourself a sinner and you're born again,
• 13:20
  Speaker 1: you're misunderstanding your identity in Christ. Postle Paul says, since

  Speaker 1: you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth

  Speaker 1: that comes from Jesus, throw off your old sinful nature

  Speaker 1: and your formal way of life. Your formal way of
• 13:36
  Speaker 1: life before Christ was a sinner. You were bound by sin,

  Speaker 1: You were trapped in sin, You were a slave to sin,

  Speaker 1: and you are on the darkest side of eternity. But

  Speaker 1: you could throw that off now you're born again. Hallelujah,

  Speaker 1: you born again. Throw that sinful nature off and your

  Speaker 1: formal way of life, which is corrupted by what lust

  Speaker 1: and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.

  Speaker 1: be like God, truly righteous and holy. When you're righteous

  Speaker 1: and holy like God, says we are Amen. We are

  Speaker 1: and accept my identity in Christ. And once I do that,

  Speaker 1: I'm being like God, because Jesus is God. I hope

  Speaker 1: you get what I'm saying. I know it sounds like, nah,

  Speaker 1: it's impossible, there's no way. Well, the word of God

  Speaker 1: The apostle Paul was fit, Holy spirit filled and he

  Speaker 1: I believe once you're born again, you have the wholeness

  Speaker 1: of the Holy Spirit. You don't have just some of

  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. But I really don't think we have

  Speaker 1: the full understanding of the scriptures. Amen. So I know

  Speaker 1: a lot of people like said, we're in the process.

  Speaker 1: I'm not being processed. I'm not like processed meat or

  Speaker 1: processed food or anything like that. My entire self was

  Speaker 1: saved by a holy, righteous God. And when he says

  Speaker 1: you're holy and righteous, guess what you are. You're holy

  Speaker 1: and righteous. So you're being like God. It's not a

  Speaker 1: process to be come like God. You are already like God.

  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit lives inside of you. So oh you know, Sam,

  Speaker 1: I'm not perfect, Okay, I understand that, but the perfect

  Speaker 1: one lives within us. So there's no excuse for us

  Speaker 1: to like get off on a deep end. Amen. Some

  Speaker 1: people actually think, and I heard it with my own ears,

  Speaker 1: that Holy Spirit there's inside of you. Then when you sin,

  Speaker 1: he leaves, and then you got to fill yourself again

  Speaker 1: with the Holy Spirit God, and then once you mess

  Speaker 1: up again, he leaves. I don't know. Somebody needs to

  Speaker 1: show me that in the scriptures. It's a popular teaching,

  Speaker 1: we're supposed to put off your old self, which is

  Speaker 1: being corrupted by it's what deceitful desires, and be made new.

  Speaker 1: in the dark, and our mind and our hearts were

  Speaker 1: hard and our mindset was closed to the things of God.

  Speaker 1: least for me. Before Christ rescued me and saved me

  Speaker 1: and transformed me, renewed me, restored me, redeemed me. Amen.

  Speaker 1: you're doing this, you're doing that, you know your wife

  Speaker 1: left you, you're living with a girl, or you're right.

  Speaker 1: And I used to look at people right in their face,

  Speaker 1: say yeah, what's going on, what's wrong?

  Speaker 1: You couldn't tell me I was doing something wrong because

  Speaker 1: I was already bound. My heart was hardened and my
