- 0:51Speaker 3: training camp. We are joined by the famous, the great
- 0:56Speaker 3: Nick Underhill.
- 0:56Speaker 4: What's that buddy?
- 0:58Speaker 2: Hey, what's going on? Guys?
- 1:00Speaker 4: Much?
- 1:00Speaker 6: Man?
- 1:00Speaker 4: How are you doing outside today?
- 1:02Speaker 7: You had practice is about to start, So yeah, just
- 1:06Speaker 7: hanging out in the alley talking to you and I'm
- 1:08Speaker 7: gonna go to what these guys are doing.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Yeah, you're the weirdo in the alley right now. Everyone's like,
- 1:12Speaker 3: what's who that guy talking to Yeah, all right, how's
- 1:17Speaker 3: the temperatures right now? We're good, we're sweating yet.
- 1:20Speaker 7: Like literally in a Yes, the time of year, it's
- 1:24Speaker 7: incredibly hot out. Yeah, and it's been too bad at
- 1:27Speaker 7: Like there's been two days where you go home and
- 1:29Speaker 7: you got the the heat exhaustion after and you're kind
- 1:31Speaker 7: of sitting there a little bit busy.
- 1:32Speaker 2: But we're getting through it, drinking a lot of water.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:36Speaker 7: You know, you gotta you gotta put the little electro
- 1:37Speaker 7: light packets in there. You know something about that, know
- 1:40Speaker 7: a little bit about that. Yeah, so those things definitely
- 1:43Speaker 7: get you to the day.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Yeah, we're managing.
- 1:46Speaker 3: All right, good dude, Well, what which practice is this?
- 1:49Speaker 3: What number are we on now?
- 1:52Speaker 2: Today's day ten?
- 1:54Speaker 4: Double digits already?
- 1:56Speaker 3: Yeah, well we are leading up to that first preseason game.
- 2:00Speaker 3: All right, let's uh, let's get right into it.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Let's uh.
- 2:02Speaker 3: I know the defense has been that started out strong,
- 2:06Speaker 3: and the offense has kind of punched back a little
- 2:08Speaker 3: bit recently here based on the the tweets and things
- 2:11Speaker 3: that I'm seeing coming out of you and Russ Jackson
- 2:13Speaker 3: what he's talking about, I know they've fought back a
- 2:15Speaker 3: little bit and starting to get some get some legs
- 2:18Speaker 3: under that first offense. Just let's just start kind of
- 2:20Speaker 3: on a big picture, like overall, how do you think
- 2:23Speaker 3: the offense has has responded in the last couple of days.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah, so.
- 2:29Speaker 7: It's kind of hit or miss, And that's the problem
- 2:31Speaker 7: with kind of analyzing small samples. I think some of
- 2:34Speaker 7: the efficiency has been there. The passing numbers are pretty good,
- 2:38Speaker 7: the completion rates pretty good. But I think contextually, some
- 2:42Speaker 7: of the issues that we've seen just continue to exist.
- 2:45Speaker 7: They've done red zone three times now. They haven't been
- 2:47Speaker 7: able to score in the red zone. They've done some
- 2:50Speaker 7: full field two minute drill stuff and that hasn't been great.
- 2:53Speaker 7: They struggled to get first downs. But there's positive signs
- 2:57Speaker 7: too within that. But I think if you were coming
- 3:00Speaker 7: out here and just kind of looking for that magical
- 3:02Speaker 7: elixir of like, here's last year's problems and now they're
- 3:05Speaker 7: completely gone, I don't know that that moment's come yet.
- 3:08Speaker 7: But I'm also not far enough into it to be worried.
- 3:11Speaker 7: Jacksonville's coming here in two days, they're gonna.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Have a joint practice.
- 3:15Speaker 7: I think that's gonna be a good metric for that.
- 3:18Speaker 7: I'm assuming they're gonna do a ton of red zone
- 3:20Speaker 7: and a ton of two minute stuff, and we'll assume
- 3:23Speaker 7: against another opponent, it's also possible that Benessley as these
- 3:26Speaker 7: guys playing out of their mind, and you know, as
- 3:28Speaker 7: you guys know, like after a few days of this, everybody,
- 3:32Speaker 7: you know, the defense knows the plays like it kind
- 3:34Speaker 7: of gets a little bit fake to a certain extent.
- 3:36Speaker 7: So like a new opponent I think will be informative,
- 3:40Speaker 7: but so far, yeah, I mean, I think the stuff
- 3:42Speaker 7: that we were worried about coming in, I think those
- 3:44Speaker 7: worries are still on the worry list.
- 3:46Speaker 3: You know, It's always funny like training camp is always
- 3:49Speaker 3: you take like such a great approach to it, like
- 3:51Speaker 3: an open mind to like you like, we're going to
- 3:53Speaker 3: see things, but we also got to like look at
- 3:55Speaker 3: it with a little bit of realization, like this is
- 3:57Speaker 3: training camp. People are gonna look good one day. These
- 3:59Speaker 3: are professional ass so like there's only so much you
- 4:01Speaker 3: can pull out of these types of practices and what
- 4:04Speaker 3: you see. But like it's easy to get negative. So
- 4:08Speaker 3: a lot of talk the Saints, the Saints offense or
- 4:10Speaker 3: just players individually, like somebody's having a bad camp or
- 4:13Speaker 3: had a bad day. Man, so and so looked really
- 4:15Speaker 3: bad today in one on ones. Well that means somebody
- 4:18Speaker 3: looked really good on the other end of that of
- 4:21Speaker 3: that one on one rep or that drill, Like, could
- 4:23Speaker 3: this just be a situation where, man, this is a
- 4:26Speaker 3: good thing for Saints fans that maybe there's some offensive
- 4:29Speaker 3: struggles because we got an offensive head coach and a
- 4:31Speaker 3: great young quarterback and all this talent, But like the
- 4:33Speaker 3: defense has been the question mark a little bit, So like,
- 4:36Speaker 3: is this a good sign for the Saints?
- 4:39Speaker 2: It could be.
- 4:39Speaker 7: I mean, yeah, you're right, definitely, there's spots where I'm
- 4:43Speaker 7: encouraged by seeing the defense be able to do some things.
- 4:46Speaker 7: And we had specifically questions about the secondary, and they've
- 4:49Speaker 7: done a really good job of limitting big plays. But
- 4:51Speaker 7: you know, I think your larger point, Like, one of
- 4:53Speaker 7: the things that drives me crazy is you come out
- 4:55Speaker 7: here and like we put out like a throat chart
- 4:56Speaker 7: or whatever, and it'll be eleven reps and there's one
- 5:00Speaker 7: dot down the field beyond twenty yards and people like, boy,
- 5:03Speaker 7: it was all checkdowns. It's like, well, in a real game,
- 5:05Speaker 7: out of twenty times, how many times are they gone
- 5:08Speaker 7: it's down the field like so like the rates kind
- 5:11Speaker 7: of you know right there too. So I think you
- 5:14Speaker 7: just got to collect the information, look at it, and
- 5:16Speaker 7: then take it take a macro look. But man, I've
- 5:19Speaker 7: been I've been around too many of these things to
- 5:21Speaker 7: draw hard conclusions. Like I remember, I think it was
- 5:24Speaker 7: sixteen breeze through eight picks, like in the first ten
- 5:28Speaker 7: days of camp and everyone was like, what's going on here?
- 5:31Speaker 7: It's like, well that yes, true Breese like it's totally fine.
- 5:35Speaker 7: Comes out you know as that season. So I think
- 5:39Speaker 7: you just kind of got to take a bit by bit.
- 5:40Speaker 7: But the only thing that's really standing out to me
- 5:43Speaker 7: is the red zone thing, because that was such a
- 5:44Speaker 7: big issue last year, and you know, at some point,
- 5:47Speaker 7: like we got to see a touchdown pass there you
- 5:49Speaker 7: do it. The fourth time will be the next time,
- 5:51Speaker 7: and it'd just be nice to see a couple of
- 5:53Speaker 7: plays to see that they got answers there. But I mean,
- 5:57Speaker 7: I'm not I'm not worried. I know there was a
- 5:58Speaker 7: lot of worry out there, like what is this look like?
- 6:01Speaker 7: Look last year Tyler Shuchton have a good camp and
- 6:03Speaker 7: then he gets in the games and he looked great,
- 6:05Speaker 7: and you know, I think he's playing way better than
- 6:08Speaker 7: he did a year ago. It's just kind of those
- 6:10Speaker 7: couple of little situational things that are still not list.
- 6:13Speaker 2: We haven't been able to scratch him up.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Yeah, so you talked a little bit about the secondary
- 6:18Speaker 3: you know, talented young guys kN kool aid like take
- 6:21Speaker 3: that step up as a player. Reports are good, but
- 6:25Speaker 3: the depth is always going to be an issue, and
- 6:27Speaker 3: so let's just get your thoughts. You know, the Saints
- 6:29Speaker 3: of the news comes out yesterday that they are working out
- 6:31Speaker 3: Terry on Arnold, of course comes with a lot of
- 6:33Speaker 3: baggage with that. Did you have like any initial thoughts like, oh,
- 6:36Speaker 3: don't do that, or maybe this is something that could
- 6:39Speaker 3: actually help.
- 6:41Speaker 7: Well, there's always the you know, the human part and
- 6:44Speaker 7: the football part, and you know the human part. I
- 6:48Speaker 7: don't have enough information on to really have a judgment,
- 6:51Speaker 7: Like I only know what everybody else knows, and I
- 6:54Speaker 7: think he's got a case or a hearing. I'm sorry
- 6:56Speaker 7: on the arraignment is on the thirteenth, so maybe some
- 6:59Speaker 7: moro will come out there. I don't want to do like,
- 7:01Speaker 7: you know, the soft pedal dodgy thing, but like I
- 7:04Speaker 7: just honestly don't know enough about it. I've been locked
- 7:06Speaker 7: in on the Saints. I saw the headline like everybody
- 7:08Speaker 7: else saw the tweets, and I just, you know, I
- 7:11Speaker 7: haven't had a chance to report it out or really
- 7:13Speaker 7: talk to anybody about it if they feel good about
- 7:16Speaker 7: that or you know that whatever I'm you know, obviously
- 7:19Speaker 7: I believe he worst case scenario, like he'd be facing life.
- 7:23Speaker 7: So it's obviously a very serious allegation. If you go
- 7:27Speaker 7: through it, whatever happens on the thirteenth, you feel good
- 7:29Speaker 7: about it, eyes you get it to appreciated asset, and
- 7:33Speaker 7: maybe he helps your team. I don't know that you
- 7:36Speaker 7: know you're looking at him as as an immediate number
- 7:38Speaker 7: two upgrade. I think if you brought him in, you'd
- 7:40Speaker 7: be kind of looking at him as your as your
- 7:42Speaker 7: number three guy with the chance to compete for number two. Obviously,
- 7:45Speaker 7: the pedigrees there played with kool Aid. You know, there's
- 7:49Speaker 7: there's some chemistry there between those guys, and you get
- 7:52Speaker 7: some insight on what he's like off the field from
- 7:54Speaker 7: kool Aid. I think, just completely isolated from the case.
- 7:59Speaker 7: Like yeah, I mean, I think if any football team
- 8:01Speaker 7: should be kind of looking at him and that's what
- 8:03Speaker 7: you're seeing right now. But I think you gotta have
- 8:06Speaker 7: like airtight information if you're gonna make that type of
- 8:09Speaker 7: move and bring him into your team and kind of
- 8:11Speaker 7: deal with that headache. So I think a lot of
- 8:14Speaker 7: that will be determined over there. If I'm Terry and
- 8:16Speaker 7: Arnold that my options are Houston the Seahawks in here,
- 8:20Speaker 7: I'm probably coming here because I feel like I can
- 8:21Speaker 7: take the number two job. They haven't been great there
- 8:25Speaker 7: beyond kool aid, Like, I think there's some question marks
- 8:28Speaker 7: with Quincy. I thought I thought Martin Emerson was going
- 8:30Speaker 7: to be better than he is. That's been a little
- 8:33Speaker 7: bit disappointing. I got him every time, you know, you
- 8:36Speaker 7: don't even got to be out here. Every time you're
- 8:38Speaker 7: seeing a clip of like a big play, he's on
- 8:39Speaker 7: the wrong side of it.
- 8:40Speaker 4: You know.
- 8:41Speaker 2: That is Barry and Brown though, who was.
- 8:43Speaker 7: An incredibly past player and tough to cover down the field.
- 8:47Speaker 7: But yeah, I think there's definitely room for another guy
- 8:49Speaker 7: on the depth chart there for sure.
- 8:51Speaker 5: So you just mentioned Barry and Brown. He's been great
- 8:54Speaker 5: so far in camp.
- 8:54Speaker 6: It seems like the two big names obviously that everyone's
- 8:56Speaker 6: gonna talk about Jordan and Tyson, Chris Lave who's been
- 9:00Speaker 6: three and four even at a receiver behind him, he's
- 9:02Speaker 6: like a guy like Deonvle. Is he gonna take a
- 9:04Speaker 6: step up this year and be more involved in the
- 9:06Speaker 6: offense or is it gonna be a guy like Barran Brown.
- 9:09Speaker 2: I think Biley's had a really good camp.
- 9:11Speaker 7: Like the catch percentage has been a little bit if
- 9:14Speaker 7: if you like, kind of look at the overall catches
- 9:16Speaker 7: versus targets, but a lot of that's been in red
- 9:19Speaker 7: zone where their struggles beyond the wide receiver.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I think he's got a really good camp.
- 9:23Speaker 7: I think the top three or just scratch across across
- 9:26Speaker 7: the board Chris, Tyson and Vle and I think that's
- 9:28Speaker 7: how it's gonna shake out this year. But Barry and
- 9:30Speaker 7: Brown and Bryce Lance, like they've both been really good.
- 9:35Speaker 7: All their catches have come with Spencer Ratler, not not
- 9:38Speaker 7: the Shock led offense, Like there hasn't been a lot
- 9:40Speaker 7: of opportunity there. Browns worked his way into that mix
- 9:43Speaker 7: a couple times. I think he's had two targets from
- 9:45Speaker 7: Shock throughout camp. I think they're both going to contribute though,
- 9:50Speaker 7: Like those guys made it so that like Jalen Polk
- 9:52Speaker 7: suddenly retiring was just like well, like that's fine, like
- 9:55Speaker 7: not not a huge deal, doesn't change the team. I
- 9:58Speaker 7: think he has a chance to be like a real
- 9:59Speaker 7: player on the team though. I think they'll find the
- 10:00Speaker 7: package of plays for him. And I think it's even
- 10:03Speaker 7: beyond that though, because like you see him running every
- 10:05Speaker 7: ro out like he's getting open on you know, hitches
- 10:07Speaker 7: with someone on his on his back.
- 10:09Speaker 2: He's getting opened down the field. It isn't like you guys.
- 10:11Speaker 7: Remember Joe Morgan, like just running like nine routes down
- 10:14Speaker 7: the field and averaging thirty years to catch like that
- 10:16Speaker 7: isn't gonna be Barrion Brown. I don't think he's just
- 10:18Speaker 7: like a trick player. It reminds me a little bit
- 10:22Speaker 7: of what they were trying to do with Deontay Hardy
- 10:24Speaker 7: at one point. But like Hardy was five to six
- 10:26Speaker 7: and he was like a really good route runner, but
- 10:27Speaker 7: he just couldn't be like a real, like a real
- 10:30Speaker 7: contributor consistently on office.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I think Brown can. But I think he can do
- 10:34Speaker 2: you know all this stuff too.
- 10:35Speaker 7: You get him in motion and you know, toss him
- 10:37Speaker 7: the ball coming around the other edge, like you can
- 10:39Speaker 7: have your little trick plays off it. But also I
- 10:42Speaker 7: think he I think he can be like a real
- 10:44Speaker 7: receiver for the team. I don't think it's in the
- 10:47Speaker 7: top three, but at least starting out, but I think
- 10:49Speaker 7: he's going to be a real contributor.
- 10:51Speaker 8: Nick.
- 10:51Speaker 6: I don't know if you've heard about this, but Georgia
- 10:54Speaker 6: putting a lot of defensive linemen in the NFL. Pretty strong,
- 10:57Speaker 6: pretty strong track record there from Perty Smart. I feel
- 11:00Speaker 6: like I might be somewhat biased on this just because
- 11:03Speaker 6: watching this kid in college and covering the SEC for
- 11:04Speaker 6: the last several years ago this I love that position
- 11:08Speaker 6: unit coming from that school specifically, it feels like it's
- 11:10Speaker 6: worked out very well over and over and over again.
- 11:12Speaker 6: House Chris and Miller been especially now getting probably a
- 11:14Speaker 6: little more reps with the injury a few weeks ago,
- 11:18Speaker 6: you know, in that same position.
- 11:20Speaker 2: It's been a little slow going.
- 11:22Speaker 7: And I think he's also been overshadowed a bit because
- 11:25Speaker 7: Gotschild looks a lot better this year. It kind of
- 11:27Speaker 7: seems like he's really dedicated himself, you know, to to
- 11:32Speaker 7: this season. He's lost some weight, he's moving better, he's
- 11:36Speaker 7: you know, looked good in the past. Rush even early
- 11:39Speaker 7: down stuff, but like he's getting in there and making plays.
- 11:41Speaker 7: I think he's having a really strong camp. I thought
- 11:43Speaker 7: Christian Miller is gonna come through camp and turn it
- 11:45Speaker 7: into a competition, and you know, it's a series of things,
- 11:48Speaker 7: probably the injuries and all that stuff too, But like Gotshaw,
- 11:51Speaker 7: I feel like he's just kind of locked that down.
- 11:52Speaker 7: I'm really high on Miller though, Like I loved his tape.
- 11:57Speaker 7: I love just kind of how he attacks to run.
- 11:58Speaker 7: I think that there's a little bit of past rush
- 12:00Speaker 7: there too. I think eventually that's the guy, But like
- 12:03Speaker 7: for right now, I think Gotchaw's kind of got that locked.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Up all right.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Nick, last week, you were talking a little bit about
- 12:09Speaker 3: how you've been impressed with the tight end usage for
- 12:12Speaker 3: the Saints offense so far in training camp. Has that
- 12:15Speaker 3: trend kind of continue to Juwan Johnson to a fan
- 12:17Speaker 3: Oscar depth, like if they continue to have a strong camp.
- 12:21Speaker 7: Yeah, Jawan Johnson's like he's he's having got like a
- 12:24Speaker 7: outstanding camp. I believe he leads the whole team in catches.
- 12:28Speaker 7: The chemistry was shocked from last year, carrying over making
- 12:31Speaker 7: a lot of plays. I'd like to see Delp kind
- 12:35Speaker 7: of has heard himself a little bit more. But I
- 12:36Speaker 7: always looked at him as as a twenty seven player,
- 12:39Speaker 7: so we haven't seen a ton there fan. You know,
- 12:41Speaker 7: he makes his place here and there, and it's starting
- 12:43Speaker 7: to pick up a little bit. He had a really
- 12:45Speaker 7: good spring practice set of spring practices that was a
- 12:49Speaker 7: little slow for a couple of days there, but he's
- 12:52Speaker 7: starting to turn back up. You know, it's tough. It's
- 12:54Speaker 7: what we were saying in the first thing, like it's
- 12:56Speaker 7: the bit by bit ten pass at a time analysis.
- 13:00Speaker 7: Schwan's the guy, though, Like I didn't know what it
- 13:03Speaker 7: was gonna look like this year. I know, like fantasy,
- 13:05Speaker 7: I think in Yahoo he was like the twenty first
- 13:07Speaker 7: tight end getting drafted that I think that's a massive mistake.
- 13:09Speaker 2: I think he's going to maintain his usage.
- 13:12Speaker 7: I don't know if he shakes out of like eight
- 13:13Speaker 7: fifty or eight twenty five or whatever it was last year,
- 13:16Speaker 7: but I think he's going to be a huge part
- 13:18Speaker 7: of this offense. And I think he's definitely an asset
- 13:21Speaker 7: to shot guy. That's the guy I think he's most
- 13:23Speaker 7: comfortable with on the whole team throwing the ball too.
- 13:25Speaker 4: H Kendre Miller any updates. Are his health hurt weird? Serious?
- 13:30Speaker 4: Yeah you're Joe, Yeah, you're messing with us.
- 13:33Speaker 2: That sucks.
- 13:34Speaker 7: Man, Like he's so talented, he just can't he just
- 13:37Speaker 7: can't stay on the field.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Well, somebody that doesn't seem to be hurt at all,
- 13:42Speaker 3: Jordan Tyson? Is it like so we see everybody's seen
- 13:45Speaker 3: the clips on social media, like jaw dropping route running.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Is that like NonStop there out the day or did
- 13:50Speaker 3: he just get a couple of good, nice little routes
- 13:53Speaker 3: you know that that got kind of went viral or
- 13:55Speaker 3: is he a that crisp of a route runner all
- 13:58Speaker 3: day long?
- 13:59Speaker 7: I mean, man, you you've seen people, I'm sure like
- 14:02Speaker 7: throughout your career that just like they move so much
- 14:06Speaker 7: differently that like kind of makes you notice just when
- 14:09Speaker 7: they're doing regular stuff. And you know Odell was a
- 14:12Speaker 7: guy like that where you just kind of watch them
- 14:14Speaker 7: like jog amongst other pro athletes, and it would stand
- 14:18Speaker 7: out is just different because like his body just moved different.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I mean that's that's what Tyson's like, Like he really is,
- 14:23Speaker 2: Like his route running.
- 14:24Speaker 7: Is unbelievable, the way he gets in and out of cause,
- 14:27Speaker 7: like you saw that blaze out where he just liked
- 14:30Speaker 7: like six yards separation on it.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it was, it was. Yeah, it's unbelievable.
- 14:35Speaker 7: Like there's not a few of them, Like we record
- 14:36Speaker 7: the practice and I'll rewatch them after they're over, and
- 14:39Speaker 7: I mean there's just plays where you're kind of sitting
- 14:41Speaker 7: there by yourself like, oh my god.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Yeah, he's just like that.
- 14:44Speaker 7: I think if he stays healthy, he's gonna be I
- 14:47Speaker 7: think he's going to be incredibly good if he stays healthy.
- 14:49Speaker 7: And Tyler Shuck is who we think he can be.
- 14:52Speaker 7: I don't think it's crazy to think he can have
- 14:54Speaker 7: a really big rookie season.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:56Speaker 3: So I watch him run routes and I and this
- 14:59Speaker 3: is a complete g I would assume that the quarterbacks
- 15:02Speaker 3: aren't missing him alive. So, like, there are receivers out
- 15:06Speaker 3: there that are quick and shifty, but not always like
- 15:09Speaker 3: body language always easy to read, like a lot of
- 15:11Speaker 3: the shifty guys there're sometimes tough to read out of
- 15:13Speaker 3: a break. I watch him run routes and it looks like,
- 15:17Speaker 3: yeah it's quick, Yeah it's shifty. Yeah, you don't know
- 15:19Speaker 3: where he's gonna He's elusive to the dB, but his
- 15:22Speaker 3: body language looks very easy to read from a quarterback standpoint.
- 15:27Speaker 7: So there was like a like a three day period
- 15:29Speaker 7: at the beginning of camp, and he didn't practice the
- 15:32Speaker 7: whole summer or the whole spring. There's like a three
- 15:34Speaker 7: day period where where him and Shuck just weren't on
- 15:36Speaker 7: the same page. And then it was like since the
- 15:39Speaker 7: fourth day on, it's just it's easy money every single time. Yeah,
- 15:42Speaker 7: So I think I think you're you're exactly right on that.
- 15:45Speaker 7: Like once he he knew, you know, a couple of
- 15:47Speaker 7: couple of little things that clean up on various plays.
- 15:50Speaker 7: Since then, it's just he's open and he's easily open and.
- 15:54Speaker 2: They find him.
- 15:55Speaker 7: And I don't know if there's been a mistarget to
- 15:58Speaker 7: him in several days, Like he's just it's just met
- 16:02Speaker 7: it's crazy to watch, Like he is as good as advertised.
- 16:06Speaker 7: It was just the injury thing in college. But I
- 16:08Speaker 7: think just like pure tape puer ability, like you got
- 16:10Speaker 7: him up there with with anybody that's come out since
- 16:12Speaker 7: I don't know, twenty twenty one, like he's probably fourth
- 16:15Speaker 7: or fifth or you know, top six on that list.
- 16:17Speaker 7: Neighbors is probably a better prospect, but like there aren't
- 16:20Speaker 7: a lot of guys that I think you would rank
- 16:22Speaker 7: ahead of him, like if you removed the health equation
- 16:24Speaker 7: from the question.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Yeah, very excited at a lot to be excited about
- 16:28Speaker 3: from Saints fans when it comes their first round picks.
- 16:30Speaker 3: So excited to see him against the Jacksonville practice. See
- 16:33Speaker 3: what some some DB's that hadn't seen him. Yeah, I'm
- 16:36Speaker 3: a lot of fun things to watch and I'm sure
- 16:38Speaker 3: you're excited about it too. I'm sure you're tired of
- 16:40Speaker 3: seeing them go against each other. So Nick, we uh
- 16:44Speaker 3: as always every single Tuesday. We appreciate your time. Now,
- 16:47Speaker 3: quit being the weird guy in the alley talking to yourself.
- 16:51Speaker 4: All right, take these guys, I have it go and
- 16:52Speaker 4: thanks Nick.
- 16:53Speaker 3: All right, there he is Nick Underhill. Good stuff as
- 16:56Speaker 3: always from Nick. I'm sure they looks like they get
- 16:59Speaker 3: a lot more excitability. Yeah, then I lsu.
- 17:02Speaker 6: I think they get thirteen minutes and that thirteenth minute
- 17:06Speaker 6: is different.
- 17:07Speaker 3: At eleven, twelfth and thirteenth minute. There's a lot you
- 17:09Speaker 3: can see right there. Good stuff we be excited about.
- 17:13Speaker 3: My god, I mean we've all if you have social media,
- 17:16Speaker 3: you've probably seen it by now. How good of a
- 17:18Speaker 3: route runner that Jordan Tyson is and like, I mean,
- 17:20Speaker 3: I watch him too, and I watch it from a
- 17:22Speaker 3: quarterback side, Like how like if I'm throwing to him,
- 17:24Speaker 3: there are people that are quick fast. There are a
- 17:27Speaker 3: lot of receivers like that that are just quarterbacks don't
- 17:30Speaker 3: like to throw to him because you can't read the
- 17:32Speaker 3: direction they're going. You can't read their body momentum out
- 17:36Speaker 3: of a break, like what angle you need to throw,
- 17:38Speaker 3: like running a corner rout and you got a flat
- 17:39Speaker 3: and it not like it's hard to read those things.
- 17:41Speaker 3: But I'll watch him run and he just looks very
- 17:43Speaker 3: quarterback friendly. Yeah, he's shifty, he's fast, but my god,
- 17:47Speaker 3: it just looks like like once you get that timing
- 17:50Speaker 3: down as a quarterback with him, that you kind of
- 17:53Speaker 3: don't miss and you know exactly what angle is going
- 17:55Speaker 3: to take, what speed he's going to come out of
- 17:56Speaker 3: a break. So at a lot of stuff to be
- 17:58Speaker 3: excited about. Didn't sound concerned about the offense, but he
- 18:02Speaker 3: definitely wants them to pick it up red something is interesting, Yeah,
- 18:05Speaker 3: a little bit concerning. Yeah, he's mentioned that for a
- 18:07Speaker 3: couple of weeks now, so we will keep an eye
- 18:09Speaker 3: on it and they'll get ready to practice with Jacksonville
- 18:12Speaker 3: coming up and of course getting ready for the first
- 18:14Speaker 3: preseason game, which we were all excited about. All right,
- 18:16Speaker 3: I think we're gonna get We're gonna get Hester on
- 18:18Speaker 3: the other side of this right who knows where the
- 18:21Speaker 3: hell he is, but he's covering some sort of training
- 18:23Speaker 3: camp team. But we'll we'll get a Jacob Pester on
- 18:26Speaker 3: the phone lines when we come back.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Right here on.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Off the bench, Off the bench, are going to go

- 21:07Speaker 3: FaceTime so we can see his handsome face. It looks good,
- 21:09Speaker 3: Jacob Hester, he looks looked a little road weary.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Maybe not. I don't know, Jake, what's up, dude?
- 21:17Speaker 8: Hey? Who's that nad in my chair?
- 21:20Speaker 5: What's a nad?
- 21:22Speaker 8: Non athletic dude?
- 21:25Speaker 4: Got him?
- 21:28Speaker 6: I was just singing your praises off air to Finn
- 21:33Speaker 6: about how great you were. And so that's not the
- 21:35Speaker 6: start I wanted for us. Why don't we start over, Jacob?
- 21:38Speaker 6: I think you look great?
- 21:40Speaker 8: Who's that nad in my chair?
- 21:44Speaker 4: Smarler? Tuesday, Ye bring sounds awful, sounds terrible. What's somebody has?
- 21:52Speaker 8: He talked a lot about South Carolina?
- 21:54Speaker 3: Yet, No, we don't let him. We actually don't let
- 21:57Speaker 3: him at all. Uh, this is under strict orders this morning.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Turn his microphone off if he mentions the word Leonora Sellers.
- 22:05Speaker 8: Oh, he can't do it. There's no way. There's no way, idiots,
- 22:11Speaker 8: no way. Anyways. Good.
- 22:17Speaker 9: I'm in Houston. I'm in Houston right now, in Reliant Stadium.
- 22:21Speaker 9: They actually are practicing inside today, so.
- 22:23Speaker 8: Thank god for that.
- 22:25Speaker 9: I mean, sitting outside in Houston for three hours, that
- 22:28Speaker 9: would be fun.
- 22:28Speaker 4: Right.
- 22:29Speaker 9: So I'm trying to think where I've i don't even remember,
- 22:32Speaker 9: you know what city I was last time I talked
- 22:34Speaker 9: to you all, But we.
- 22:35Speaker 8: Were Steelers camp.
- 22:36Speaker 9: Over the weekend, we went from Steelers to Ravens, Ravens
- 22:40Speaker 9: to Chiefs, Chiefs to hear We go back up to
- 22:44Speaker 9: DC tomorrow we're having like a big serious X and
- 22:48Speaker 9: M like fan event where we're gonna have like a
- 22:50Speaker 9: live audience for the show, so it's gonna be fun.
- 22:52Speaker 8: And then right back down south to New Orleans.
- 22:55Speaker 9: So that's where we are kind of pretty close to
- 22:58Speaker 9: getting a break. And after we do that, we get
- 23:01Speaker 9: two days off before we finish up with I think
- 23:03Speaker 9: it's Atlanta and then Tampa.
- 23:05Speaker 8: Bay, so only a couple more stops. We're deep into this.
- 23:10Speaker 3: You even want time off. It looks like you're living
- 23:13Speaker 3: your best life. Wearing fullback shirts, taking pictures with all
- 23:16Speaker 3: the top dogs.
- 23:17Speaker 4: It looks like you're living your best life.
- 23:19Speaker 9: I mean, no, it's a lot of fun. Don't get
- 23:22Speaker 9: me wrong. The travel sucks. I'm not gonna kid you there.
- 23:25Speaker 9: I mean going from city to city, like we get
- 23:27Speaker 9: in late, we wake up early, we go do the show,
- 23:29Speaker 9: then we travel out again. Like that part's not very fun.
- 23:33Speaker 9: But the football side of it. It's incredible. I mean, Matt,
- 23:36Speaker 9: you know this and you've been on this longer than
- 23:38Speaker 9: I have, and I'm coming to the dark side. The
- 23:40Speaker 9: NFL is just incredible, like the product that the NFL
- 23:43Speaker 9: is and getting a chance to catch up with these
- 23:46Speaker 9: head coaches, these gms, these top players and really dive
- 23:49Speaker 9: into it, and like every conversation has been a little
- 23:52Speaker 9: bit different. Like I was I sent y'all the Aaron
- 23:54Speaker 9: Rodgers conversation. Man, that was so much fun. Like I've
- 23:57Speaker 9: never had a chance to sit down and have a
- 23:59Speaker 9: conversation with him, but we started telling old stories that
- 24:02Speaker 9: you gave me about the Packer times and he just,
- 24:04Speaker 9: like you know, was relaxed and free and it was
- 24:06Speaker 9: just good. Oh yeah, we did those before and after,
- 24:11Speaker 9: so like I enjoyed that that conversation. But then like
- 24:13Speaker 9: you can get into a real football conversation with some
- 24:16Speaker 9: of these guys, like we we were at the Chief
- 24:19Speaker 9: yesterday and like getting a talk ball with Andy Reid
- 24:21Speaker 9: and Spags and and that whole crew was was really fun.
- 24:25Speaker 8: So every conversation has been a little bit different. All
- 24:27Speaker 8: these players have been great and just like a peek
- 24:30Speaker 8: behind the curtain.
- 24:31Speaker 9: Of how they're doing in training camp, and you know,
- 24:33Speaker 9: it's a little bit easier Flynn, when we're not having
- 24:36Speaker 9: to stay in the dorm room at Saint Vincent's College
- 24:39Speaker 9: and god knows where America and practice football. We get
- 24:42Speaker 9: to be around it, but we don't have to stay
- 24:44Speaker 9: for the parts that nobody likes about camp.
- 24:46Speaker 4: Yeah for sure.
- 24:47Speaker 3: So like you interviewed like the head coaches and the
- 24:50Speaker 3: star players of all these teams, but like what what
- 24:53Speaker 3: you're able to get when you were in Pittsburgh was awesome,
- 24:56Speaker 3: and like it's a team that I'm super interested watch.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Of course goes my relationship, but.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Like just as a team in general, that the AFC
- 25:02Speaker 3: North is very intriguing to me. But like Aaron didn't
- 25:06Speaker 3: sit down and just like open up for fifteen minutes
- 25:08Speaker 3: like that very often he and and this year I
- 25:10Speaker 3: feel like he has had a lot of availability. But
- 25:12Speaker 3: you got to talk to all with him, Like he
- 25:14Speaker 3: is a fantastic person to talk football with.
- 25:20Speaker 4: That was your first time speaking.
- 25:21Speaker 3: With them, And there's a lot of you know, people
- 25:23Speaker 3: misconceptions and like people that you know misinterpret him as
- 25:27Speaker 3: a person, but like, just talk about your football conversation
- 25:30Speaker 3: with him.
- 25:31Speaker 9: Yeah, and I can tell you just for the whole
- 25:33Speaker 9: conversation on and off air, he was great, Like it
- 25:36Speaker 9: was great the entire time, and we talked ball and
- 25:39Speaker 9: laughed about you being a slappy off air like that.
- 25:41Speaker 8: You know, that was fun. So I enjoyed that.
- 25:45Speaker 9: And then we got into a good football conversation and
- 25:48Speaker 9: just you know a little bit about everything, but something
- 25:50Speaker 9: you and I are passionate about the clock count and
- 25:53Speaker 9: how stupid it is, so like the wor you can
- 25:56Speaker 9: you can tell like he hadn't really had that conversation
- 25:59Speaker 9: or anybody bring that up to him. And so I
- 26:01Speaker 9: was telling us like Aaron, like I got your next gig,
- 26:04Speaker 9: and I could tell he was like.
- 26:05Speaker 8: What are you talking about.
- 26:06Speaker 9: I was like, I'm going to send you across the
- 26:08Speaker 9: country and you're going to talk to every quarterback and
- 26:10Speaker 9: coach that does the clap count, and you're going to
- 26:12Speaker 9: tell him how stupid it is, and you're going to
- 26:14Speaker 9: show him a real cadence.
- 26:15Speaker 8: He's like, I'll do it.
- 26:17Speaker 9: I'll do it free at charge, like absolutely, you know,
- 26:20Speaker 9: just stuff like that.
- 26:22Speaker 3: So you're saying, like I text you this. You're saying,
- 26:24Speaker 3: the person that has the greatest snap count in the
- 26:28Speaker 3: history of tackle football doesn't like a clap count.
- 26:32Speaker 8: Yeah, he goes, what are we doing?
- 26:33Speaker 9: He said, do you know how big of an advantage
- 26:35Speaker 9: is for us in our cadence, in our snapcount and
- 26:38Speaker 9: how many times we've won games and like made playoff runs,
- 26:42Speaker 9: because like we got this one guy to jump off
- 26:44Speaker 9: sides on third and four or whatever.
- 26:46Speaker 8: It's so funny. So where you watch.
- 26:48Speaker 9: Their practice, you know, it's an older college. It's very
- 26:52Speaker 9: cool though, but you're on top of this hill and
- 26:55Speaker 9: so like this the sound like hits you a little
- 26:58Speaker 9: bit later just because it's so far away. So it
- 27:00Speaker 9: was kind of cool to hear his cadence in person,
- 27:03Speaker 9: like it traveled, Like we're in these hills in Pennsylvania,
- 27:07Speaker 9: Like you can hear his cadence like travel like it's
- 27:10Speaker 9: like this big delayed sound, but you're right, Like it's
- 27:13Speaker 9: so funny, like he got three or four guys like
- 27:15Speaker 9: I think you got TJ. Watt one times, like a
- 27:18Speaker 9: very veteran All Pro player to jump all sides.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it's such an advantage too, Like even if you
- 27:22Speaker 3: don't get them to jump off sides, you make them
- 27:25Speaker 3: hesitate split second getting off the ball, even if if
- 27:28Speaker 3: it's on size you, you don't get them. You don't
- 27:31Speaker 3: allow them to pin their ears back in time of
- 27:33Speaker 3: a caden. So clop counts are dumb. Everybody does it.
- 27:35Speaker 3: LSU's gonna do. You're gonna see a lot clapping from
- 27:37Speaker 3: Sam Levitt this year and it's really stupid.
- 27:41Speaker 5: Uh Hester, you said you got to go to Atlanta.
- 27:43Speaker 6: I really want to talk to you out of having
- 27:45Speaker 6: to do that because there's not much going on there.
- 27:47Speaker 6: But also Harold Perkins is running with the ones uh
- 27:50Speaker 6: in middle line acer, which is gonna be really good.
- 27:52Speaker 6: Is there any man, I don't want to turn this
- 27:54Speaker 6: into college things. I know how much fun you're having
- 27:56Speaker 6: with the NFL, But is there any rookie across everything
- 27:59Speaker 6: or everywhere you that's really stood out to you that
- 28:01Speaker 6: maybe we haven't heard a lot about.
- 28:05Speaker 9: Oh, you know this part in training camp, rookies are
- 28:08Speaker 9: kind of swimming in the deep end a little bit. God,
- 28:13Speaker 9: I'm gonna give you like Rutledge like today here, like
- 28:16Speaker 9: offensive linemen from Georgia Tech, Like everybody we've talked to
- 28:19Speaker 9: with the Texans like has mentioned a guy like that.
- 28:21Speaker 9: So he's a first round pick. Healan Rutledge out of
- 28:23Speaker 9: Georgia Tech. But nobody like you walk across Baton Rouge
- 28:26Speaker 9: and hey, who's that They have no idea who that
- 28:29Speaker 9: guy is, but like he's a maler who's going to
- 28:31Speaker 9: start somewhere in the interior of the Texans offensive line.
- 28:34Speaker 8: So we've gotten we've got like a ton of that.
- 28:36Speaker 9: Like that's been a big like offensive line, defensive lineman,
- 28:40Speaker 9: interior guys that when the coaches start talking about those guys,
- 28:44Speaker 9: that's kind of when they start to light up a
- 28:46Speaker 9: little bit now. I mean, you know, a key Mesodor
- 28:48Speaker 9: was really good when Chargers camp, they're very excited about him.
- 28:52Speaker 9: But it's really been the interior guys. It's not the
- 28:54Speaker 9: sexiest position, but it's probably a Matt you can speak
- 28:58Speaker 9: to this too. It's probably one of the positions that
- 29:01Speaker 9: you can get in the lineup probably quicker than others,
- 29:05Speaker 9: like guard on the offensive side, defensive tackle and defensive side,
- 29:08Speaker 9: because a lot of places we've been Marler like, it's
- 29:11Speaker 9: been like highly touted guys that everybody they knows, and
- 29:14Speaker 9: it's kind of been like a little slow process to
- 29:16Speaker 9: get them in the lineup with the ones just because
- 29:19Speaker 9: it's just you know, it's it's new, it's tough, it's difficult.
- 29:22Speaker 8: You're going against the best of the best.
- 29:24Speaker 9: So for me, it's it's been mostly the guys that
- 29:27Speaker 9: aren't going to get a lot.
- 29:28Speaker 8: Of ADA boys because they play a position it's not
- 29:30Speaker 8: very sexy.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you can put, you can put offensive line and like,
- 29:32Speaker 3: especially if you have experienced, veteran good players around you,
- 29:35Speaker 3: like we always subscribe to you. Like you could do
- 29:38Speaker 3: a young talented center and have them played earlier because
- 29:41Speaker 3: we had two Pro Bowl guards on either Sidelly, they
- 29:43Speaker 3: are the team within the team. They have the most
- 29:46Speaker 3: team work of anybody on the football field. Offensive line though,
- 29:50Speaker 3: because they have to be able to work with each
- 29:52Speaker 3: other so they can build that chemistry. But if they
- 29:54Speaker 3: have guys on either side of them, then yeah, a
- 29:56Speaker 3: rookie can be plugged in there and be very effective
- 30:00Speaker 3: very early. Okay, you were in Kansas City yesterday, so yes,
- 30:04Speaker 3: I think we could all agree that Patrick Mahomes probably
- 30:07Speaker 3: a little scared of losing his job.
- 30:12Speaker 9: Uh, well, Patrick Mahomes actually look great, Like are you
- 30:15Speaker 9: a robot?
- 30:16Speaker 8: Like how are you fully going?
- 30:18Speaker 9: And you tore your a C on LCL in December
- 30:21Speaker 9: and you're like a full go at practice, like remarkable,
- 30:25Speaker 9: full go, full.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Go, Like.
- 30:28Speaker 8: Did every drill, did every warm up? I don't know.
- 30:33Speaker 9: And he didn't have like a huge clunky knee brace
- 30:35Speaker 9: on like he just had like a small neighbor just
- 30:38Speaker 9: built different.
- 30:40Speaker 8: I guess. So shout out to Tyler Watson, but you no,
- 30:44Speaker 8: Smyer looked great. I thought Garrett had a really good day.
- 30:48Speaker 9: Uh he's he's very confident in the huddle, which is
- 30:52Speaker 9: tough for a young player. Like there was no like
- 30:55Speaker 9: him getting in the huddle messing up the play call.
- 30:57Speaker 9: They had to start it over. There was no repeating plays.
- 30:59Speaker 9: There was no hey, let's wait on the rookie and
- 31:01Speaker 9: Andy Reid's not going to do that like Andy Reids.
- 31:04Speaker 9: It was the fastest practice that I think I've seen
- 31:07Speaker 9: in a very long time.
- 31:08Speaker 8: It was like a blend of old school and new school.
- 31:10Speaker 9: There was not wasted time, like if you got water,
- 31:12Speaker 9: you got water on the jogs of the next drill,
- 31:15Speaker 9: and so like that's how he wants his practice to go.
- 31:17Speaker 8: And I thought it was very.
- 31:18Speaker 9: Impressive that nuts was in and out of the huddle,
- 31:20Speaker 9: there was no waiting on him. And then he look
- 31:23Speaker 9: he could always know the football, and I thought he
- 31:25Speaker 9: had a really nice day. So they had a good
- 31:28Speaker 9: day too.
- 31:28Speaker 4: Old school, new school.
- 31:29Speaker 3: So basically they got two hours worth of work in
- 31:32Speaker 3: an hour and a half.
- 31:33Speaker 9: No doubt, no doubt, there was no wasted time. And
- 31:36Speaker 9: it wasn't like they weren't out there for like three hours.
- 31:38Speaker 9: Now our guy Monk, Todd Munkin and the Browns they
- 31:43Speaker 9: had a college practice. They had a three hours and
- 31:47Speaker 9: look who did Todd Unkin learn under coach Miles who
- 31:51Speaker 9: loved to go to three hour practice. So that mean
- 31:53Speaker 9: they were out there all day long. So you know,
- 31:57Speaker 9: it is fun to kind of look and see how
- 31:58Speaker 9: guys do it different. Jesse mentor Baltimore had a little
- 32:02Speaker 9: bit of a longer practice. And by the way, Trey
- 32:05Speaker 9: Hendrickson didn't get blocked.
- 32:07Speaker 8: Like he might have.
- 32:08Speaker 9: He he might have a monster, monster year, like I
- 32:13Speaker 9: don't know, like you know, he didn't have the best
- 32:16Speaker 9: year last year to his standard. I don't know if
- 32:17Speaker 9: he got rejuvenized because like you know, people whatever, and
- 32:22Speaker 9: maybe he.
- 32:23Speaker 8: Did because they could not block that guy.
- 32:25Speaker 9: Cal Hamilton's going to be a freak to he already
- 32:27Speaker 9: is a freak, But so everybody does it different. Like
- 32:30Speaker 9: I'm trying to think of a quick practice. Buffalo's a
- 32:35Speaker 9: little bit longer. Patriots were a little bit quicker with Rabes,
- 32:38Speaker 9: Like it was a little bit quicker than I thought.
- 32:39Speaker 8: It was like an hour and a half practice. So
- 32:41Speaker 8: everybody's doing a little bit different.
- 32:42Speaker 4: But I cut you off that. But Monster, you said
- 32:44Speaker 4: he had he had a day.
- 32:46Speaker 9: Yeah he did. Now, Uh, he's still he's dealing with
- 32:49Speaker 9: an injury, so he can't do some of the physical stuff,
- 32:53Speaker 9: but he's out there like on seven on seven and
- 32:55Speaker 9: one on ones and stuff, and I mean he.
- 32:57Speaker 8: Looked really, really good.
- 32:58Speaker 9: Now, the Chiefs don't have like the deepest receiver room
- 33:01Speaker 9: or anything like that, but still it didn't matter. I
- 33:03Speaker 9: thought he had a really good day. He's running with
- 33:04Speaker 9: the ones. I mean, he's a top ten pick. He's
- 33:06Speaker 9: going to start, So it was a good day for
- 33:08Speaker 9: the l SU guys.
- 33:09Speaker 8: There.
- 33:09Speaker 9: I'm trying to think, hold on, hold on this. This
- 33:11Speaker 9: sounds like somewhere that Marlar played baseball. We were at
- 33:14Speaker 9: Missouri Western State University.
- 33:17Speaker 5: Yeah, of course the Tigers.
- 33:19Speaker 4: Uh you're missing tech in there.
- 33:20Speaker 8: No, they're all riffins.
- 33:22Speaker 5: That's worse than anything I've said the Griffins.
- 33:25Speaker 9: The Griffins, It's no, it's a lion slash eagle, like
- 33:31Speaker 9: a lion with wings.
- 33:33Speaker 5: You were reading them back in.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Fair enough, all right, the Griffins. There you go the
- 33:38Speaker 3: hard hitting coverage here.
- 33:40Speaker 8: I think I think that's what they are.
- 33:42Speaker 5: I'm pretty lion mixed together.
- 33:45Speaker 8: Yea, brother, it's like a it's not a real thing. Marler.
- 33:47Speaker 2: You don't know that, no.
- 33:51Speaker 7: One.
- 33:52Speaker 9: I han't seen one real quick because you asked me
- 33:55Speaker 9: about practice. I'll tell you the most impressive practice that
- 33:58Speaker 9: we've been at, to me at least, was the Buffalo
- 34:00Speaker 9: Bills and Joe Brady. They they got after it, but
- 34:05Speaker 9: it was like organized chaos, but they got after it.
- 34:08Speaker 9: And that's a team that I feel better about now
- 34:11Speaker 9: after seeing them live that I did before that. I
- 34:13Speaker 9: had pretty high expectations, you know, for them. That's a
- 34:17Speaker 9: team that is going to be very.
- 34:19Speaker 6: Tough out and nothing but rave reviews about their stadium
- 34:21Speaker 6: and those alternate uniforms.
- 34:23Speaker 5: So that's good.
- 34:24Speaker 8: Yeah, there's a couple of places where you can't see
- 34:26Speaker 8: the field, but yeah, who cares.
- 34:29Speaker 3: There is, mister Jacob, Hey, dude, we appreciate the time,
- 34:33Speaker 3: enjoy Houston today. Enjoy watching the best defense in the NFL.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Go play a little little tackle football today. So enjoy it.
- 34:39Speaker 3: And uh, maybe we'll catch up with a little bit
- 34:41Speaker 3: later and we'll definitely I think we'll see you Friday.
- 34:44Speaker 8: Well, yeah, you can tack off.
- 34:46Speaker 4: I mean, you can go sleep a little bit.
- 34:49Speaker 8: You know, I feel bad I've left you with Marlar
- 34:52Speaker 8: for long enough, sir, you.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Should feel worse for our listeners. All right, there is
- 34:59Speaker 3: self myself I can tell all right, yeah, all right,
- 35:02Speaker 3: all right there, we're gonna go to break because we
- 35:04Speaker 3: are long for one. We're gonna close out. We got
- 35:06Speaker 3: a couple more segments here, We're gona talk a little
- 35:08Speaker 3: bit more. We're gonna go around the NFL. We come
- 35:10Speaker 3: back right here. Off the bench, Off the bench, Yeah,
- 35:13Speaker 3: the NFL National Football League.

- 36:11Speaker 3: out to date. Russell Pools dot Com.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Is my recital.
- 36:17Speaker 5: I think it's very vital.
- 36:20Speaker 2: That's right on top of that sight on top. It's tricky.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Locked in on l s U Football twenty four to seven.
- 36:32Speaker 1: You're listening to off the bench, can you.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Do that, mischa do that?
- 36:50Speaker 7: God?
- 36:53Speaker 10: Poor Christ?
- 36:57Speaker 5: That was way worse than what I do.
- 36:58Speaker 4: That was worse but better both of us laundry.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Yeah, so.
- 37:03Speaker 4: Bro, what are you having? So it was actually pretty good?
- 37:06Speaker 4: It was terrible?
- 37:07Speaker 5: How did you do that? How did you make that noise?
- 37:09Speaker 4: That's not?
- 37:09Speaker 5: That's not as bad?
- 37:11Speaker 4: That was better? Were lip no models on par with not? His?
- 37:15Speaker 2: His?
- 37:16Speaker 8: Great?
- 37:16Speaker 4: All right, we are going to continue on. We talked
- 37:20Speaker 4: a lot of NFL.
- 37:21Speaker 3: We had Nick Underhill join the show, just talked about
- 37:23Speaker 3: our own Jacob Hester, who has been traveling the world. Man,
- 37:25Speaker 3: if you haven't seen Jake's interviews, I would go to
- 37:28Speaker 3: his social media.
- 37:29Speaker 4: They posted a lot of the.
- 37:30Speaker 3: Interviews, getting some really good stuff, sitting down with the
- 37:35Speaker 3: starting quarterback, the head coach, it's our players, defensive coordinat
- 37:38Speaker 3: like and getting like ten fifteen twenty minutes just one
- 37:42Speaker 3: on one time where a lot of these guys are
- 37:44Speaker 3: just like dropping their guard and talking ball and uh,
- 37:46Speaker 3: it's been really cool to see. So you haven't seen it,
- 37:49Speaker 3: go chick Jacob Hester's social media stuff out.
- 37:52Speaker 4: They've posted a lot of those things. So a lot
- 37:54Speaker 4: of great stuff and excited to hear that nust Meyer's
- 37:56Speaker 4: playing well too.
- 37:56Speaker 5: Yeah, it's great.
- 37:57Speaker 4: We can all get excited about that.
- 37:58Speaker 3: All right, let's go just to take a quick look
- 38:01Speaker 3: around any big stories in the NFL. One that you
- 38:05Speaker 3: brought up to me. Bills fans got to got a
- 38:08Speaker 3: quick glimpse. They got to tour the new stadiums. They
- 38:11Speaker 3: spend so much money, and it's it's a beautiful thing.
- 38:13Speaker 10: Hundreds of like view you can't see the whole field.
- 38:18Speaker 4: Not hundreds.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Yeah, they said there's a lot of that have obstructed
- 38:23Speaker 3: views of the field.
- 38:24Speaker 5: I hated the design of it in general.
- 38:26Speaker 11: They deserve to have instructive views from not putting a
- 38:29Speaker 11: roof on the stupid thing.
- 38:30Speaker 4: But whatever.
- 38:30Speaker 5: Also not a bad point. I liked the old stadium.
- 38:33Speaker 4: I'm putting the roof in your stadium. Just put a
- 38:34Speaker 4: roof for your stadium.
- 38:35Speaker 5: But why did they build it.
- 38:36Speaker 11: No one wants to watch you playing four feet of
- 38:38Speaker 11: snow either. It's not a competitive advantage. It's terrible football.
- 38:41Speaker 11: Stop that it's built like a soccer stadium.
- 38:47Speaker 6: Oh boy, it's built like a soccer stadium in Europe,
- 38:50Speaker 6: which I don't I don't love that, like the the
- 38:52Speaker 6: waviness of it. Yeah, also if you're gonna have snow
- 38:56Speaker 6: and you're a professional football team, hire people in the
- 39:00Speaker 6: organization to get rid of the snow. Do not tell
- 39:03Speaker 6: people in the community to come out and shovel snow
- 39:05Speaker 6: for twenty dollars an hour like you did like two
- 39:07Speaker 6: years Green Bay.
- 39:08Speaker 4: They do.
- 39:09Speaker 2: They love they love the.
- 39:12Speaker 5: Team, all right, it's their team.
- 39:14Speaker 3: They show up and shovel the the stadium for free.
- 39:19Speaker 4: They love it.
- 39:19Speaker 5: What you know, Green Bay, in hindsight a bad take.
- 39:24Speaker 3: In Green Bay. You could be like, guys, you see that.
- 39:26Speaker 3: It's a couple of owners over there. It's ricky, all right,
- 39:29Speaker 3: let's go. Quentin Williams signs three years, one and five
- 39:32Speaker 3: point nine million dollars as our resident Dallas cowboy.
- 39:37Speaker 4: Nut job. Thank you, great signing. Quentin Williams. Awesome player.
- 39:42Speaker 10: I loved when they when picked him up, uh in
- 39:46Speaker 10: the in the off season. I think he's said it
- 39:47Speaker 10: was a great decision to go get him. I understand
- 39:50Speaker 10: Micah's gone, but you ain't got him. You got some
- 39:53Speaker 10: other pieces on your defensive line. You paid him big
- 39:55Speaker 10: time money. He's a big time player. I think that's
- 39:56Speaker 10: a good signing. Yeah, he gets paid.
- 39:59Speaker 3: Paid payd Michael Why receiver right there and defensive lines
- 40:01Speaker 3: are good for him. Teddy Bridgewater retires for the second time.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Don't say that very often, but you know, you always
- 40:10Speaker 3: like to see when players that. That's always the goal.
- 40:12Speaker 3: You want to go off on your own terms. You
- 40:14Speaker 3: don't want to be told when to hang it up.
- 40:17Speaker 3: So he goes off, retires for the second time, so
- 40:19Speaker 3: his career seems to be done. Fernando Mendoza officially listed
- 40:24Speaker 3: number two on the depth chart. No surprise, nothing he was,
- 40:27Speaker 3: but it's officially official. There's official depth start coming out
- 40:30Speaker 3: of Las Vegas. So officially number two, behind Kirk Cousins,
- 40:33Speaker 3: who I've read this fights. Kirk's having a nice little camp. Well,
- 40:37Speaker 3: nice old Kirk tuggans.
- 40:39Speaker 5: What they get him for was it less than one
- 40:40Speaker 5: hundred and eighty million dollars? He's worth.
- 40:46Speaker 4: A lot.
- 40:46Speaker 3: And the news we've all been waiting for all show long.
- 40:50Speaker 3: Derek Carr, buddy, he's so bad Muso.
- 40:53Speaker 10: Nobody was more excited than him when he tell news
- 40:56Speaker 10: out this morning.
- 40:56Speaker 11: Ye go away, you keep talking about how what you're
- 41:00Speaker 11: enjoying retirement and playing golf and hang out with your family.
- 41:03Speaker 5: Just go do that and doing silence.
- 41:05Speaker 3: He's going to one of the two schools in l
- 41:08Speaker 3: A U c l A. He's hired the other one.
- 41:12Speaker 3: He's at the other one, and then there's another one
- 41:15Speaker 3: U c l A.
- 41:16Speaker 4: He is hired as the special advisers. You can see it.
- 41:20Speaker 10: I can see Nico baby blues leaveless hoodie hat backwards.
- 41:24Speaker 10: Maybe some aviators on Derek car or A farming are farming.
- 41:29Speaker 11: Those kids are gonna learn nothing in the realm of
- 41:31Speaker 11: self awareness.
- 41:32Speaker 4: Nothing exactly.
- 41:34Speaker 5: Those quarterback is then you're talking about self awareness.
- 41:38Speaker 4: It's Nico sounds like.
- 41:41Speaker 3: It's perfect. He can teach him a lot, so good
- 41:43Speaker 3: for him. Great job, Derek Carr, you did great. Congratulations
- 41:47Speaker 3: at u c l A. Absolutely electric personality on staff
- 41:50Speaker 3: over there. Okay, we are gonna go to break, but

- 44:28Speaker 3: card got picked and it is a multi multi million
- 44:32Speaker 3: dollar card. What yeah, yeah, someone pulled it and uh,
- 44:37Speaker 3: I believe it was a breaker on a stream and
- 44:39Speaker 3: hit or hit a spot. Somebody had the Maverick spot
