- 0:45Speaker 5: get your hotel.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Pull up on us. It's going to be crazy.

- 0:51Speaker 1: forward to seeing everybody. We're going to eat, we're going
- 0:54Speaker 1: to pot, and we're going to party.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yes. Three things I like to do. All right, let's
- 1:01Speaker 3: go ahead and jump to the pot.
- 1:03Speaker 1: How about a Da Vinci address to backlash he received
- 1:05Speaker 1: following the Cam Newton interview? Let's take a listen to
- 1:09Speaker 1: that original clip. If you forgot what Da Vinci said,
- 1:12Speaker 1: let's go ahead and get to it.
- 1:13Speaker 3: What's up, Da Vinci?
- 1:15Speaker 6: I apologize that my wording was harsh, and it was
- 1:18Speaker 6: hard for my message that I was trying to convey
- 1:21Speaker 6: got lost.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Oh, okay. All right. Up my back. I saw his name.
- 1:24Speaker 3: There's the original clip. Thank you, Zach.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Damson- Idris, so many others that have that have landed
- 1:30Speaker 2: these massive American or portraying American characters as an American yourself,
- 1:36Speaker 2: which has roots to, you know, Haitian descent.
- 1:40Speaker 3: But another thing, too, I'm not going to lie.
- 1:42Speaker 6: I do think the work ethic of Americans is one
- 1:46Speaker 6: that people in a higher position, it's hard for them
- 1:50Speaker 6: to trust it. Humans are becoming like more incompetent. And
- 1:54Speaker 6: America is like producing like we baby our kids. I mean,
- 1:59Speaker 6: you got people that's 25, 30, 35. Like, I mean,
- 2:02Speaker 6: these are kids. They can't do their own laundry. For me,
- 2:05Speaker 6: I'm fortunate. I was born here, but my parents aren't
- 2:07Speaker 6: from here. My grandma raised me.
- 2:08Speaker 3: She didn't speak English.
- 2:09Speaker 6: So at home was Haiti. And in the real world,
- 2:12Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying? Then it was like America.
- 2:13Speaker 6: But I had like work ethic. I was determined. Like
- 2:16Speaker 6: I started I could take care of myself like fully
- 2:19Speaker 6: at like eight years old.
- 2:20Speaker 3: But in America, no shade to you guys, the way the.
- 2:22Speaker 6: Culture have like moved majority of its citizens, it's like
- 2:26Speaker 6: you're just incompetent for a really long time.
- 2:30Speaker 3: He said, you stupid black mother effers. That's not what
- 2:34Speaker 3: he said.
- 2:34Speaker 1: That's not what he said, but there is a little
- 2:37Speaker 1: piece to what he was saying. Well, true to some
- 2:40Speaker 1: of the stuff he was saying. There's a little truth,
- 2:42Speaker 1: but he did want to apologize. Let's take a listen
- 2:45Speaker 1: to that. Now we can listen to it.
- 2:48Speaker 6: I apologize that my wording was harsh and it was
- 2:52Speaker 6: hard for, you know, my message that I was trying
- 2:54Speaker 6: to convey got lost with my clumsy wording, you know, but.
- 2:57Speaker 3: I think that's it.
- 2:58Speaker 6: Cause I like everything that was, you know, said is
- 3:00Speaker 6: like looking back and I'm like, oh, I shouldn't have
- 3:01Speaker 6: said that like that. I'm like, dang, it's really just
- 3:03Speaker 6: one of those things. I see how they took that.
- 3:04Speaker 6: So it was like, yeah, it was kind of sloppy,
- 3:07Speaker 6: you know, but I, but.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I believe in unity. I believe in love. I believe that.
- 3:10Speaker 6: All human beings are talented. I believe that all human beings,
- 3:13Speaker 6: if we're all susceptible to the AI technology.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Do not. No, I'm not. I'm not doing that. I'm
- 3:20Speaker 3: not doing that.
- 3:20Speaker 6: I'm just saying that any group of human beings that
- 3:23Speaker 6: is subjected to the technology and information that we have today,
- 3:26Speaker 6: if we keep using it, we're going to physically modify
- 3:28Speaker 6: our brain to get better at using it. So we're
- 3:29Speaker 6: going to stop critically thinking ourselves.
- 3:31Speaker 3: That's going to slow down for us. Ooh, he moved
- 3:34Speaker 3: the goalposts on that one. Yeah, he moved the goalposts.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Oh, man, he should have just said, y'all slow.
- 3:39Speaker 7: And he should have stood ten toes on his own.
- 3:42Speaker 4: No, he should have, Tom, because he meant what he said.
- 3:45Speaker 7: And all this, well, like Charlamagne called it out, please
- 3:48Speaker 7: don't all lives matter this.
- 3:49Speaker 4: But I believe he really meant what he said. And
- 3:52Speaker 4: I don't think he was completely wrong.
- 3:53Speaker 1: No, he wasn't completely wrong. I think I agree with
- 3:56Speaker 1: what he said. He said it was clumsy wording. It
- 3:59Speaker 1: was clumsy wording in a sense of what he was.
- 4:01Speaker 1: where he started adding the Haitian in there and all
- 4:04Speaker 1: of those different things. I mean, you think about it.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know how y'all grew up, but
- 4:08Speaker 1: I had a whole key to my house at eight
- 4:11Speaker 1: years old. Like, I can't even think about my son
- 4:14Speaker 1: or my daughters having a key to the crib at eight. Like,
- 4:18Speaker 1: I had a key to the crib. I'd come home
- 4:20Speaker 1: from school. You know what I mean? We was cooking
- 4:23Speaker 1: food at probably like 10.
- 4:24Speaker 7: I was frying pork chops. And Tawel made a mean
- 4:27Speaker 7: pork chop sandwich, okay? Because I had a whole block smelling.
- 4:31Speaker 4: At 12.
- 4:32Speaker 3: So I'm with you. It's a different. But you know
- 4:35Speaker 3: what I mean? It's a different.
- 4:36Speaker 4: These new kids, though, they can't fry pork chop.
- 4:38Speaker 3: They can't.
- 4:39Speaker 7: They call Uber Eats. They won't DoorDash. They don't want
- 4:42Speaker 7: to learn to drive. They don't want to do that.
- 4:44Speaker 7: He's not wrong in what he's saying. He just had
- 4:46Speaker 7: a little bit of that immigrant arrogance on it. And
- 4:48Speaker 7: that's a real thing.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Zach, what you got to say, bro? Cap, cap, cap.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Da Vinci meant exactly what he said. He said y'all
- 4:58Speaker 5: are not. He said Americans are lazy and y'all don't work.
- 5:03Speaker 5: And he meant that over. He meant that overall. He
- 5:06Speaker 5: didn't mean the new generation. He didn't mean the generation
- 5:10Speaker 5: he grew up in. You know what I'm saying? You
- 5:12Speaker 5: saying like, oh, I had a kid. I had a
- 5:13Speaker 5: kid too. But that was not generation specific. That was
- 5:17Speaker 5: American specific. Y'all Americans are lazy. So he's talking about
- 5:21Speaker 5: you with your kid eight, me and my kid eight,
- 5:24Speaker 5: and Kiki with her pork chops. He felt like we
- 5:27Speaker 5: was all slow. And that's what he meant. That's exactly
- 5:32Speaker 5: what he said. To even verify it, he said, well,
- 5:35Speaker 5: and I had Haitian parents, basically, he said, who weren't
- 5:37Speaker 5: born in America. So I was born, yes, I was
- 5:40Speaker 5: born here. But I was born on Haitian values. So
- 5:43Speaker 5: at eight years old, I could take care of myself.
- 5:45Speaker 5: That's what he was saying. Y'all Americans, the other eight-year-olds couldn't.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Right. So that wasn't about this generation.
- 5:52Speaker 5: No, that was about you thinking you were better and
- 5:56Speaker 5: that Americans are lazy.
- 5:57Speaker 7: Yeah, he had that immigrant arrogance on it, which is
- 5:59Speaker 7: a real thing in my opinion. But I don't think
- 6:02Speaker 7: his statement is untrue. You know, we are losing the plot.
- 6:07Speaker 4: We are.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Some are lazy. I can't put them.
- 6:11Speaker 4: I mean, we are efficient.
- 6:12Speaker 7: You know, I think as a country and we broke
- 6:14Speaker 7: this down a few episodes ago when he first made
- 6:16Speaker 7: a statement. We as a country, we like to do
- 6:18Speaker 7: things the efficient way. If there's a faster way, a
- 6:20Speaker 7: quicker way, we like to do it. Doesn't necessarily mean
- 6:23Speaker 7: you're a lazy person. But at the core of, you know,
- 6:27Speaker 7: we are there is a literacy issue in America. Kids
- 6:30Speaker 7: can't read and they just get passed on to the
- 6:32Speaker 7: next grade. Like back when I was in school, if
- 6:34Speaker 7: you didn't pass the test, your ass was staying in
- 6:37Speaker 7: fifth grade.
- 6:37Speaker 3: That's a fact.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Yeah, now they just letting them go, and they 21
- 6:40Speaker 4: can't read. They working at the drive-thru, can't count.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Oh, y'all got some names on y'all. It's a weird thing.
- 6:46Speaker 7: You ask them for some, you try to be like,
- 6:47Speaker 7: let me get changed for this or that.
- 6:49Speaker 4: They confused.
- 6:50Speaker 7: You know, it's like, so, yeah, in that regard, what
- 6:52Speaker 7: he said wasn't incorrect in my opinion. But, yeah, I
- 6:55Speaker 7: think it was that arrogance on it.
- 6:57Speaker 3: A little bit. A little bit of arrogance.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I think he's speaking because he's a young dude.
- 7:01Speaker 3: He's in his 20s.
- 7:02Speaker 1: So a lot of times he's probably, you've got to
- 7:04Speaker 1: compare him Y'all out of that era, right? So y'all
- 7:07Speaker 1: out of that era. He in his 20s. And what
- 7:09Speaker 1: he's looking at is his people, the people around him.
- 7:12Speaker 1: They don't want to work. They want success fast. They
- 7:17Speaker 1: don't have the skill set that we had. They don't
- 7:21Speaker 1: have the skill set that you had. Because pretty much,
- 7:24Speaker 1: y'all generation came after ours. So you still had a
- 7:28Speaker 1: little bit of that skill set in there. But after that,
- 7:32Speaker 1: it got lost. It just got lost. And again, the
- 7:36Speaker 1: one thing that stands out to me is that people
- 7:39Speaker 1: look for success fast. They don't want to work. If
- 7:43Speaker 1: you told somebody they had to do the Kiki thing,
- 7:46Speaker 1: roll to success, they're going to figure out, nah.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Maybe they last two weeks.
- 7:52Speaker 3: But I'm saying.
- 7:52Speaker 4: They would last two weeks.
- 7:53Speaker 1: But if you literally said, you could beat me if
- 7:57Speaker 1: you did this, they're going to look at you like, nah.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Some would, some wouldn't.
- 8:02Speaker 4: I disagree.
- 8:04Speaker 3: I disagree.
- 8:04Speaker 5: I don't think that people are lazy. I think it's
- 8:06Speaker 5: just different ways of doing it now. First of all,
- 8:08Speaker 5: Da Vinci ain't in his 20s.
- 8:09Speaker 3: He's 31. Oh, okay.
- 8:12Speaker 5: And look at look at the younger generation getting paid
- 8:17Speaker 5: way quicker than we was getting money.
- 8:19Speaker 3: OK, like they figured out other ways.
- 8:21Speaker 5: Shoot your daughter, for example, getting paper before you saw
- 8:25Speaker 5: paper like that.
- 8:27Speaker 3: At a younger age. That's a fact.
- 8:30Speaker 5: And it's not you have to be you can't be
- 8:34Speaker 5: a lazy person and produce like that. It may be
- 8:37Speaker 5: a different way. It's not the exact same way. But
- 8:40Speaker 5: I don't think that we can look at the younger
- 8:42Speaker 5: generation and call them lazy. I don't think because.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I'm watching them. I got one.
- 8:47Speaker 4: You got one, and it ain't a.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Lot of them.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I got one, and I know the struggles that she
- 8:54Speaker 1: had that I'm not going to talk about on the podcast.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I know I got one. But do we all have struggles?
- 9:00Speaker 1: But I got one, and I got one underneath it
- 9:02Speaker 1: that I watch. I got a 19-year-old.
- 9:05Speaker 5: But did we have... Okay. When you were 19, was
- 9:09Speaker 5: it people next to you who had struggles? Like, what
- 9:12Speaker 5: I'm trying to say is.
- 9:13Speaker 1: They was getting to the money. I can tell you,
- 9:14Speaker 1: when we were 19— We had struggles, too. But I'm saying,
- 9:16Speaker 1: when you're saying getting to the money quicker, it looks good.
- 9:19Speaker 1: It's all revisionist history, Zach, because if you think about it,
- 9:22Speaker 1: when people got out of high school, they got out
- 9:25Speaker 1: of high school, you know where people went? They did
- 9:26Speaker 1: three things, bro. They went to the Army, got paper.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Got instant paper when they went to the army. That
- 9:32Speaker 1: was a way of getting paid. Second thing, they went
- 9:36Speaker 1: and worked at a factory. A second way to get paid.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Or they went and got a government job. And those
- 9:44Speaker 1: three ways, or they did the other stuff, but I'm
- 9:46Speaker 1: saying they were getting to the paper fast. This is
- 9:50Speaker 1: just another way of getting to the paper fast. And
- 9:53Speaker 1: a lot of times, like I said, everybody ain't like that.
- 9:58Speaker 1: But again, I don't want to speak to what my
- 10:00Speaker 1: kids got, what they got going on. But, bro, I'm
- 10:03Speaker 1: telling you, I'm telling you, when the work gets a
- 10:07Speaker 1: little hard, it gets different. And I know what you're saying.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Everybody has child insurance.
- 10:15Speaker 3: They got different hearts.
- 10:17Speaker 5: What I'm trying to say is a lot of times
- 10:19Speaker 5: our generation looks at their difficulties and we judge it
- 10:22Speaker 5: and be like, that's weak. Because it was weak to
- 10:24Speaker 5: us based off what we had going on. But they
- 10:27Speaker 5: look at us and be like, hey, I don't want
- 10:28Speaker 5: to do that way because it doesn't make sense. It
- 10:31Speaker 5: didn't pan out the way a lot of things. I
- 10:33Speaker 5: know I've got, man, my niece is young. I'm watching
- 10:36Speaker 5: some of them. who are flourishing, you know, careers, social workers,
- 10:42Speaker 5: got kids, raising kids, all of that, who are a
- 10:44Speaker 5: younger generation. And then I see some that are struggling.
- 10:48Speaker 5: But that was the same thing with our generation. It
- 10:51Speaker 5: was people who were doing well. It was people who
- 10:54Speaker 5: got to the money quick. It was people who took
- 10:56Speaker 5: more time. And it was people who completely fell off,
- 10:58Speaker 5: who didn't have it all together. I can't sit up
- 11:01Speaker 5: here and say that this generation is is is lack
- 11:04Speaker 5: lacking because they not like us.
- 11:06Speaker 7: I just think that I think both of y'all are correct.
- 11:08Speaker 7: And I think what we did and what a generation
- 11:11Speaker 7: before us did, too, is we always the goal is
- 11:13Speaker 7: to make it easier for the people coming behind you.
- 11:16Speaker 7: And we have made it extremely easy for them coming
- 11:18Speaker 7: behind us. And there's just that's just how the world moves.
- 11:21Speaker 7: Like our ancestors was out there marching. OK, they was
- 11:24Speaker 7: on the front line. They were they was, you know, boycotting.
- 11:27Speaker 7: We can't get a boy. We can't stay out of
- 11:28Speaker 7: Target for two days. So it's like, you know.
- 11:30Speaker 3: They're going to be like, y'all.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Yeah, if Martin Luther King never talked to us today,
- 11:34Speaker 4: y'all would be, baby, he'd have been accursed.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Oh, he'd be pissed. Oh, he'd be hot.
- 11:38Speaker 4: He'd be hot.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Malcolm X would have been and shot all of us.
- 11:40Speaker 3: He'd be mad as hell. He'd be mad as hell.
- 11:42Speaker 3: You got all them stores, but you can't stay out
- 11:43Speaker 3: of one. Yeah, we still don't know anywhere else.
- 11:47Speaker 4: What do we do other than get on social media?
- 11:50Speaker 7: So it's like every generation is going to look back
- 11:52Speaker 7: at the one behind it and say, They have it
- 11:54Speaker 7: easier because that's what we're supposed to do. We're supposed
- 11:56Speaker 7: to make it easier for the people coming behind us.
- 11:58Speaker 7: But two things can be true. When you make things
- 12:01Speaker 7: easier for people, sometimes the values that are learned through
- 12:03Speaker 7: hard work get lost. Just like we got the, our
- 12:07Speaker 7: people made it easier for us. We didn't lost the
- 12:09Speaker 7: thought of unity and how to come together. We competing
- 12:12Speaker 7: with each other because now you got money. So I
- 12:13Speaker 7: got to get money or you want to, he got
- 12:15Speaker 7: a business. So I got to go start a business
- 12:17Speaker 7: instead of thinking unity. If we got together, what we
- 12:19Speaker 7: could build and make like our generation lost that this
- 12:22Speaker 7: next generation, because we have made things so easy for them.
- 12:24Speaker 7: They're losing a lot of personal skills and work, you know, ethic.
- 12:28Speaker 7: They think they supposed to get paid as interns and
- 12:30Speaker 7: they support, they not supposed to ever do nothing free
- 12:32Speaker 7: for anything. You know, it's just stuff like that. So,
- 12:35Speaker 7: I just think two things can be true. We are
- 12:37Speaker 7: losing values as the generations go. And that's for everybody
- 12:40Speaker 7: across the board.
- 12:41Speaker 4: But I do think Da.
- 12:41Speaker 7: Vinci was talking to us as if he was at
- 12:43Speaker 7: his kitchen table with his immigrant grandmother. And that is
- 12:46Speaker 7: how they talk about Americans sometimes.
- 12:48Speaker 2: OK. All right.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Let's get to this.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Paul Pierce claims he's drowning financially despite earning 200 million
- 12:54Speaker 1: during his NBA career. And a new court document saying
- 12:57Speaker 1: he pays twenty eight thousand in child support a month.
- 13:01Speaker 1: and 20K in spousal support a month.
- 13:05Speaker 3: So he out.
- 13:06Speaker 1: And that's a lot of money for some kids and love. Paul,
- 13:10Speaker 1: you didn't sign a prenup.
- 13:12Speaker 3: That's Paul who? Paul Pierce. Paul Pierce. 200 mil. I
- 13:15Speaker 3: don't like how they bring up the big earners, right?
- 13:18Speaker 3: I don't either. I don't like how they say, well,
- 13:20Speaker 3: he made 400 mil.
- 13:21Speaker 1: You don't know how that lifestyle got. You don't know
- 13:25Speaker 1: what the. what the taxes was on him. You don't
- 13:28Speaker 1: know how many people he had. He got this lump
- 13:31Speaker 1: sum of money. He got family members. He got mama, daddy.
- 13:35Speaker 1: He got his own type of thing. I hate when
- 13:38Speaker 1: they bring up their lump sum.
- 13:39Speaker 5: When they stretched out that $ 200 million, they said $ 200
- 13:41Speaker 5: million for the last 20 years of his NBA career.
- 13:44Speaker 5: So he earned $ 200 million within 20 years.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Years, y'all.
- 13:47Speaker 3: So you divide that up. Now divide that by the taxes.
- 13:51Speaker 3: He didn't get all two, honey.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Nope.
- 13:52Speaker 3: He definitely didn't.
- 13:53Speaker 5: Then agent fees and all the other stuff that comes
- 13:55Speaker 5: with it, with his lifestyle that came with it.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Man, come on, man. I don't judge nobody.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Ten million a year.
- 14:00Speaker 7: That would have been ten million a year without taking
- 14:03Speaker 7: out taxes. So once you cut that in half, that's
- 14:05Speaker 7: five million a year. Once you put all his expenses together,
- 14:09Speaker 7: because it costs money to make money. You got to
- 14:12Speaker 7: have a team. You got to have a driver. You
- 14:13Speaker 7: got to have a trainer.
- 14:15Speaker 4: You got to have... It take money.
- 14:16Speaker 7: So, like, yeah, I'm glad you called that out because
- 14:19Speaker 7: somebody like me just saw the headline and was like,
- 14:21Speaker 7: $ 200 million?
- 14:22Speaker 4: You know, I got $ 200 to my name. You know
- 14:24Speaker 4: what I'm saying? I make it stretch.
- 14:25Speaker 7: So, in my mind, $ 200 million, how could you blow that?
- 14:28Speaker 7: But the way you just, that.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Was, yes.
- 14:29Speaker 5: But I think they worded like that on purpose, Kiki,
- 14:32Speaker 5: to make it so we can look physically irresponsible.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Because that's how we look at it.
- 14:36Speaker 5: They want us to be like, oh, yeah, look at
- 14:38Speaker 5: another athlete, black athlete, just blowing his money.
- 14:42Speaker 3: He had $ 200 million and just blew it. It wasn't
- 14:44Speaker 3: like that.
- 14:45Speaker 1: You had to... You know, and I do... I like
- 14:49Speaker 1: seeing this type of story, though, come out, right? Because
- 14:53Speaker 1: I think when these type of stories come out, and
- 14:56Speaker 1: no shade to Paul Pierce, but it becomes a tool...
- 14:59Speaker 1: Because Paul never was... He didn't never... When you think
- 15:04Speaker 1: of somebody that was financially irresponsible, he's not the person
- 15:07Speaker 1: that comes to your mind, right?
- 15:09Speaker 3: So you know he was just... He just had bills, right?
- 15:13Speaker 1: So if you look at somebody like a Paul Pierce
- 15:16Speaker 1: and he having some issues with his money, as a
- 15:20Speaker 1: young player, you got to be looking at that like, hmm.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Like, I'm not going to spend nothing.
- 15:26Speaker 1: And at this point, you can't spend nothing because you're
- 15:29Speaker 1: going to go broke.
- 15:31Speaker 3: You can't. You cannot. Absolutely not. Get married and not
- 15:36Speaker 3: have a prenup. You're worth too much money.
- 15:39Speaker 1: That is the most irresponsible thing for anybody that has money.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Nobody wants to get in a car accident, but we
- 15:45Speaker 1: all got car insurance.
- 15:47Speaker 3: We all have it. And I think letting people, and
- 15:51Speaker 3: then here's another.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Part of that, the Paul Pierce thing, y'all pop in,
- 15:56Speaker 1: is that They announce how much they get paid on TV.
- 16:01Speaker 1: It's all on the internet how much their salaries are.
- 16:04Speaker 4: So the vultures coming.
- 16:06Speaker 1: You instantly are prey. They're getting preyed on by the
- 16:11Speaker 1: most beautiful women in the world. This ain't no average
- 16:15Speaker 1: chick that's coming after them. And they're like, well, you
- 16:17Speaker 1: got to have self-control, self-discipline. Some of you niggas can't
- 16:20Speaker 1: stay off pizza.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Hello?
- 16:22Speaker 1: Now, hold on.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Wait a minute.
- 16:24Speaker 3: That felt a little targeted. No, it's really. Was that
- 16:29Speaker 3: a shot? No, no. I like pizza. I know you
- 16:36Speaker 3: like Italian beefs. I would have said Italian beefs. But
- 16:40Speaker 3: that's real though.
- 16:41Speaker 4: That's real. Everybody got a weakness.
- 16:44Speaker 7: And you know, you don't know how to handle that
- 16:46Speaker 7: type of money unless you have it. And I'll never forget,
- 16:50Speaker 7: I got my first thousand dollar check. I thought that $ 1, 000
- 16:53Speaker 7: was going to take me far. It was gone by
- 16:57Speaker 7: the next day.
- 16:58Speaker 3: That's 10 $ 100 bills. Really?
- 16:59Speaker 2: Right.
- 17:00Speaker 3: You know?
- 17:01Speaker 4: Like, you don't know it until you get it.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Right.
- 17:04Speaker 3: You got 10 times the half on. Yep. 10 times
- 17:07Speaker 3: the half on. After that, it's over with.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Here's how you got to really think about it when
- 17:11Speaker 1: you start busting them numbers down. I got that Parker's check.
- 17:15Speaker 3: I thought I was the richest dude in the world.
- 17:17Speaker 3: It was gone after a trip to Value City. Come on, right?
- 17:21Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Value City.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Okay, Commissioner Roger Goodell, he commented on Jay-Z's headline in
- 17:27Speaker 1: the Super Bowl halftime show. When we first reached an
- 17:30Speaker 1: agreement with Roc Nation, to the producer of the show,
- 17:35Speaker 1: I had one request, that Jay-Z take the stage himself
- 17:39Speaker 1: one day, and it felt right.
- 17:41Speaker 3: And that's it.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 7: And that's a whole play, you know. Because he know
- 17:46Speaker 7: what everybody was going to say and how the headline read.
- 17:49Speaker 7: And so he said, okay, I got the head of
- 17:52Speaker 7: the organization. to come out and say, I asked for this.
- 17:56Speaker 7: Like he's just, he's always 10 steps ahead of you haters.
- 17:59Speaker 3: He no ball.
- 17:59Speaker 4: He no ball.
- 18:00Speaker 7: He's always 10 steps ahead of you haters. And I
- 18:03Speaker 7: love this for us.
- 18:05Speaker 3: But you know, even in.
- 18:06Speaker 4: What can you say to that?
- 18:07Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 18:08Speaker 1: But I mean, but I honestly, you know, I like
- 18:11Speaker 1: to call WWE on everything and think everything is set up.
- 18:14Speaker 1: But honestly, when you hire Jay-Z to pick the art,
- 18:17Speaker 1: the acts, do you not think one day that Jay-Z
- 18:19Speaker 1: is going to take the stage?
- 18:22Speaker 6: Oh, no.
- 18:22Speaker 4: He knew that.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Yeah, right.
- 18:23Speaker 4: I mean, Hov knew the play all the way. Like,
- 18:26Speaker 4: it's all calculated.
- 18:28Speaker 7: You think when he became the president of Def Jam,
- 18:29Speaker 7: he wasn't already planning that next album he was going
- 18:32Speaker 7: to drop when he told us he was retiring?
- 18:34Speaker 3: That's true.
- 18:35Speaker 4: He's a genius. He knows how to work, y'all.
- 18:39Speaker 3: He got a dope boy mind. Definitely.
- 18:41Speaker 4: And a corporate mind together.
- 18:44Speaker 3: That's why he unstoppable.
- 18:45Speaker 5: In my opinion, I think dope boy mind is corporate mind.
- 18:48Speaker 5: It's just in a different... It's in a different place.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Because every Doughboy I know is so business savvy.
- 18:54Speaker 4: They're so smart.
- 18:55Speaker 3: So smart, can see stuff two steps, three, four, five
- 18:58Speaker 3: steps ahead.
- 18:59Speaker 5: I'd be like, yeah, if you just transferred this into
- 19:02Speaker 5: any corporate boardroom, you'd be running the company just like
- 19:05Speaker 5: you're running this block.
- 19:06Speaker 3: But, yeah, it's kind of like Jay-Z got that. Yeah,
- 19:10Speaker 3: he does. He got that, man. I love it. I
- 19:12Speaker 3: love watching it.
- 19:13Speaker 1: It's a lot of revisionist history going around with Jay-Z
- 19:16Speaker 1: because they talking to people that weren't there. And I
- 19:19Speaker 1: like the fact that people are coming out and speaking
- 19:22Speaker 1: for Jay. Shout out Cam'ron. He was like, when they
- 19:25Speaker 1: were talking about Jay ain't really had money. He really
- 19:27Speaker 1: wasn't moving nothing back in the day. You saw that?
- 19:31Speaker 3: And Cam was like, hey, man.
- 19:33Speaker 4: He didn't have money.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Yeah, he was like, I know.
- 19:35Speaker 1: He said the people that I know that was doing
- 19:37Speaker 1: stuff was dealing with him.
- 19:39Speaker 3: They was all dealing with each other, trust me.
- 19:41Speaker 1: He ain't really wanna go into it, but I like
- 19:44Speaker 1: how Cam came out, like, I don't know what y'all
- 19:45Speaker 1: talking about, but I was there.
- 19:47Speaker 3: He didn't have no rap deal, and he was up.
- 19:51Speaker 4: I never heard nobody say Hov ain't have money.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Yeah, there's been a conversation where they're saying, like, you
- 19:56Speaker 1: know how Hov say ex-drug dealer, ex-this.
- 19:59Speaker 3: I was in the street like this.
- 20:01Speaker 1: So because people weren't around back then, they able to
- 20:04Speaker 1: kind of get that off. without nobody saying anything. And
- 20:07Speaker 1: Cam'ron stepped right in and was like, nah.
- 20:10Speaker 5: Nah, Cam said, look, I was at his house. He
- 20:13Speaker 5: was like, before, he ain't had no album out. He
- 20:15Speaker 5: said he had the fish tank, the one that was.
- 20:17Speaker 3: In the wall. Come on. At his crib.
- 20:19Speaker 5: And we knew what that meant back in the day.
- 20:21Speaker 3: We knew what that meant back in the day. That
- 20:23Speaker 3: mean you getting money.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Anybody had that fish tank. Fish tank that's in the wall?
- 20:27Speaker 2: Yep.
- 20:28Speaker 3: How did you feed it? Yeah. Different. He was like, nah,
- 20:33Speaker 3: you can't say that about him.
- 20:34Speaker 7: Oh, right.
- 20:35Speaker 3: All right, cut.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Drake's lawsuit over Janice shut the F up, dropped by
- 20:41Speaker 1: accuser less than two weeks later after being accused of
- 20:44Speaker 1: stealing the chorus from the producer.
- 20:46Speaker 3: All right, we knew that. We okay.
- 20:49Speaker 2: All right.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Shout out to you, Ryan. Thanks, bro. No, I was
- 20:53Speaker 3: just like, that's... All right, cool.
- 20:55Speaker 4: That's a pretty specific hook, right?
- 20:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, yeah. According to reports, Mary J.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Blass has sold her publishing and recorded music assets to
- 21:05Speaker 1: Primary Wave, including her hits like Family Affair, My Life,
- 21:09Speaker 1: and more. The financial terms of the agreement and the
- 21:13Speaker 1: exact percentage she sold have not been disclosed.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Mary Richards shit.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Smart.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Get that pipe of Mary. You deserve it.
- 21:19Speaker 7: And I hope that this comes after she's legally bound
- 21:24Speaker 7: to her ex-husband. Like, I think she waited. I really
- 21:28Speaker 7: hope that she waited till she's, like, out of the
- 21:30Speaker 7: pay gate with him.
- 21:32Speaker 4: And then she can truly enjoy it.
- 21:34Speaker 3: She definitely did.
- 21:35Speaker 6: Huh?
- 21:35Speaker 3: I really hope she did. It's not a shadow of
- 21:37Speaker 3: a doubt.
- 21:37Speaker 4: So he don't get a piece of this.
- 21:39Speaker 1: No.
- 21:39Speaker 4: Because I just want Mary to.
- 21:41Speaker 7: When I just saw her in Vegas, y'all, it just
- 21:43Speaker 7: inspired me so much to just really be the rich,
- 21:46Speaker 7: fine auntie in my family.
- 21:48Speaker 4: That is my goal.
- 21:49Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 21:50Speaker 7: I just want to be the rich, fine auntie. Mary's
- 21:53Speaker 7: so fine, y'all. She's so fly. And now she rich
- 21:57Speaker 7: as hell. I love this for her. I want her
- 22:00Speaker 7: to only work when she want to work. I don't
- 22:02Speaker 7: want her on stage like Gladys now.
- 22:05Speaker 4: I don't.
- 22:06Speaker 3: I don't. I don't.
- 22:08Speaker 4: No disrespect to Ms.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Gladys, baby.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Have y'all seen it lately?
- 22:12Speaker 3: I'm not. I'm not talking about it.
- 22:14Speaker 4: All right.
- 22:14Speaker 3: All right.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Well, good for you, Mary. I'm proud of you.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Gladys had people, you know, it's unfortunate. Just as many
- 22:22Speaker 1: of the guys that have some bad stuff, them women
- 22:25Speaker 1: be getting dogged out and used, and then they money
- 22:28Speaker 1: get messed with.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Even worse.
- 22:31Speaker 4: If it ain't kids, and they mad.
- 22:34Speaker 3: It's bad.
- 22:35Speaker 4: If it ain't kids, and they mad.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Gladys had a, yeah. Shout out. God bless you, Gladys.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Don't marry nobody else either, by the way.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Unless it's me. Definitely don't marry him.
- 22:48Speaker 4: Girl, just keep him as a little boyfriend on the side.
- 22:51Speaker 7: Don't marry him. Yandy did an interview, and she's smart.
- 22:55Speaker 7: Yandy from Love & Hip Hop.
- 22:56Speaker 3: What'd she say?
- 22:57Speaker 7: She talked about how when she was with Mendeecees, she said,
- 23:00Speaker 7: that's my husband. Not on paper. So when he went
- 23:04Speaker 7: to jail for all that stuff and had to pay
- 23:06Speaker 7: restitution and child support to other baby mamas, they not
- 23:08Speaker 7: coming after my paper? And Yandy was young in it,
- 23:12Speaker 7: on Love & Hip Hop, and was smart enough not
- 23:14Speaker 7: to do that.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Well, I'll tell you what.
- 23:18Speaker 5: For all the women who have questionable men in their
- 23:20Speaker 5: life that you can't marry on paper, you probably shouldn't
- 23:24Speaker 5: marry them.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Every man is questionable.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Every man is questionable.
- 23:30Speaker 5: The fact that they will be like, you know what?
- 23:32Speaker 5: That's how you know women is crazy. They'll be like,
- 23:34Speaker 5: I can't trust you enough to marry you on paper.
- 23:36Speaker 3: No, she did.
- 23:37Speaker 5: She didn't say she couldn't trust him. But I'll marry you.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Then you probably shouldn't be with this guy.
- 23:41Speaker 4: She didn't say she couldn't trust him. His affairs were
- 23:44Speaker 4: not in order. Then you probably shouldn't marry him. You
- 23:47Speaker 4: have to protect your paper.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Then you shouldn't marry him.
- 23:48Speaker 4: No, you can make a.
- 23:49Speaker 7: Commitment before God. You don't have to. What Yandy said
- 23:53Speaker 7: is I'm not putting the government in my business.
- 23:55Speaker 5: No, what I'm trying to say is if your affairs
- 23:57Speaker 5: are not in order, then it's something about this person
- 24:00Speaker 5: that is not together.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Ain't nobody perfect.
- 24:03Speaker 3: That shouldn't be your life partner. You sure did.
- 24:08Speaker 4: A commitment before God.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Who should have?
- 24:10Speaker 4: It would have saved you a lot of time and money.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Let me tell you something. One thing about it, I
- 24:14Speaker 3: won my case.
- 24:16Speaker 7: Did you have to pay an attorney?
- 24:21Speaker 3: I beat my case. Oh, he got Brian Steele.
- 24:23Speaker 7: He talks about it all the time, how it was,
- 24:25Speaker 7: when you say you was married for 30 minutes and
- 24:27Speaker 7: it took longer than.
- 24:28Speaker 4: The marriage to get out of it.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Sure did.
- 24:30Speaker 4: This is what I'm saying, Zach.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Do a commitment. But what I'm trying to say is,
- 24:35Speaker 3: take it back a step. Take it back a step.
- 24:37Speaker 5: Before you get there, If you don't trust the person,
- 24:40Speaker 5: you probably shouldn't marry them.
- 24:42Speaker 7: We all trust each other today. I don't know what
- 24:44Speaker 7: you might do tomorrow. I trust you today.
- 24:48Speaker 1: That's why everybody got to get the Usher song. You
- 24:52Speaker 1: got to get on them papers.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Yes. You got to get on them papers. I don't
- 24:55Speaker 3: care what anybody says.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I don't have nearly as much money as Paul Pierce,
- 24:59Speaker 1: Mary J.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Blige. I don't care who.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I done slept on too many radio station floors. I
- 25:06Speaker 1: done been in too many dangerous nightclubs. I never had
- 25:09Speaker 1: to listen and be around people that I don't like
- 25:12Speaker 1: at all sometimes. And I am not going to let
- 25:16Speaker 1: you get this 20 years because.
- 25:19Speaker 3: of some love and some kids. I'm not. You said
- 25:23Speaker 3: because of some love?
- 25:24Speaker 4: Love and some kids.
- 25:26Speaker 3: That's a lot of, half is a lot of money.
- 25:28Speaker 1: My legacy of money, I didn't make, it took me
- 25:31Speaker 1: my whole life to make this money. Hello. And then
- 25:34Speaker 1: we get together and we break up and I got
- 25:38Speaker 1: to pay you half some love and kids. Bro, do
- 25:41Speaker 1: you know how it would drive, I ain't gonna be
- 25:43Speaker 1: no good, bro, if I get married and I gotta
- 25:47Speaker 1: pay something about spousal support Tears my soul up. I
- 25:51Speaker 1: understand child support. I nigga been on it this whole life.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I know the ins and outs of that.
- 25:59Speaker 3: I get it. I'm paying for your time.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I get child support. Spousal support, you can kiss my ass.
- 26:06Speaker 4: That is so funny.
- 26:08Speaker 3: I got to pay you to go date other niggas?
- 26:13Speaker 7: And can you imagine, like, Mary's husband was allegedly cheating
- 26:17Speaker 7: with their artist. Like, somebody she was investing bread in,
- 26:20Speaker 7: him and the side chick together. Wendy Williams' husband cheating
- 26:24Speaker 7: with the stylist girl and bought a house next door
- 26:27Speaker 7: to his wife.
- 26:28Speaker 3: With her money?
- 26:29Speaker 4: With her money.
- 26:31Speaker 7: Sherri Shepherd, husband, told her, we're going to have a,
- 26:34Speaker 7: let's do a, what they put the eggs together and
- 26:37Speaker 7: have somebody else have the surrogate.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:39Speaker 7: Got the lady pregnant and then left so that Sherry
- 26:42Speaker 7: had to pay for the baby. Sherry paying child support
- 26:45Speaker 7: on a baby she never met. Then another lady carried.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Yeah, that's different.
- 26:51Speaker 4: You see what I'm saying?
- 26:52Speaker 3: I see what you're saying. I tell you what, don't
- 26:55Speaker 3: get married then.
- 26:56Speaker 2: No, no.
- 26:57Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Because when you go there, I'm going to go here.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Why are we getting married then?
- 27:05Speaker 4: You got to make a commitment before God, Zach. That's different.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Man, you got this man speaking in tongues.
- 27:13Speaker 7: He done got so triggered, Pop, man.
- 27:20Speaker 1: He speaking in tongues.
- 27:24Speaker 3: We got a factory reset, Zach. We got to unplug
- 27:28Speaker 3: you and plug you back in. Let's keep going. I
- 27:33Speaker 3: ain't got overheated. Right, right.
- 27:35Speaker 1: He's like, inside of the TV, like, man, this motherfucker.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Like, oh, damn, that's crazy work. That's so funny. We're
- 27:42Speaker 3: going to get off of that. We got a couple
- 27:45Speaker 3: more minutes.
- 27:46Speaker 1: French Montana made history as the first U.S.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Artist to open at the Open the Balloon Dior. What
- 27:54Speaker 3: is this?
- 27:56Speaker 1: Man.
- 27:57Speaker 4: Now you glitching. Let me see.
- 27:58Speaker 3: I'm glitching. I'm glitching.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Artists to open the Balloon Dior ceremony in 70 years.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Balloon Dior. Oh, Dior?
- 28:08Speaker 2: Is it?
- 28:09Speaker 3: Hey, that headline, tear him up. Tear me up.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Take your time. Sound it out. Hey, y'all, I'm going
- 28:18Speaker 3: to move on. That's how I be doing it. Dior
- 28:20Speaker 3: is not spelled like that.
- 28:23Speaker 7: French Montana and D-Block Europe's Copenhagen concert.
- 28:28Speaker 4: It's a famous concert.
- 28:31Speaker 1: It's canceled.
