- 0:01Through the process of affinity and filtration of thoughts.
- 0:05When we remain in the plane of the mind, we experienced the
- 0:09struggle and resistance of competing thoughts that appear
- 0:13to be in many cases chaotic in nature.
- 0:18Fighting with these thoughts struggling suppressing, all turn
- 0:23out to be counterproductive strategies as they only
- 0:27intensify the conflict in the mind.
- 0:31There are two basic methods proposed by the mother, to shift
- 0:35the attention away from these thoughts.
- 0:38One of these is to rise above to a higher plane of mental
- 0:41Consciousness, or beyond that to the spiritual consciousness.
- 0:47The other is to focus the mind on some concentrated form of
- 0:51work or outward oriented attention.
- 0:55In either case, when the focus shifts away from the level that
- 0:59receives an attends to these thoughts, they lose their Force
- 1:04at least temporarily while the attention goes out.
- 1:08We're or more permanently. As one makes the shift of
- 1:13Consciousness to the higher spiritual Realms and takes the
- 1:17standpoint of the witness from that level the mother notes
- 1:22quote, if you know, how to rise to a higher level, simply into a
- 1:28region of the speculative mind, which is not quite the ordinary
- 1:32physical mind. You can see all this play and
- 1:36all this struggle, all this conflict.
- 1:39All these contradictions, as a curiosity, which does not touch
- 1:43or affect you, if you rise a step higher and still and see
- 1:49the goal towards which you want to go, You will gradually come
- 1:54to discern between ideas, favorable to your progress,
- 1:58which you will keep and ideas opposed to this progress, which
- 2:03harm and impair it and from above you will have the power to
- 2:08set them aside calmly without being otherwise affected by
- 2:12them. But if you remain there at that
- 2:16level in the midst of that confusion and conflict, well,
- 2:19you risk getting a headache. The best thing to do is to
- 2:24occupy yourself with something practical, which will compel you
- 2:28to concentrate specially studies work or some physical occupation
- 2:34for the body, which demands, attention, anything at all that
- 2:38forces. You to concentrate on what you
- 2:40are doing, and no longer be a prey to these ramblings.
- 2:44But if you have The Misfortune to remain there and look at
- 2:48them, then surely, as I said, you will get a headache for.
- 2:53It is a problem, which must be resolved, either by a descent
- 2:56into the Practical life, and a concentration on some practical
- 3:01effort or else by a rising above and looking from above, at all.
- 3:08This chaos. So, as to be able to bring some
- 3:11order into it and set it, right? But one must never remain on the
- 3:17same plane is the plane, which is no good either.
