Speaker 1: Good Thursday morning. Nice to have you with us on
• 0:26
Speaker 1: the forty seven Morning Update, and We've got two big
• 0:28
Speaker 1: stories for you. First up, Operation Riptide. It is ripping
• 0:33
Speaker 1: into fraud and now we have some of the biggest
• 0:36
Speaker 1: fraud catches so far, all because of President Donald Trump's leadership. Also,
• 0:41
Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom, he has no problem attacking the President in
• 0:45
Speaker 1: the White House, but now the media seems to be
• 0:47
Speaker 1: looking the other way on some of his serious legal problems.
• 0:51
Speaker 1: We explain it to you, but before we get to that,
• 0:54
Speaker 1: I want to take a moment and ask you to
• 0:56
Speaker 1: help the people in Israel with my friends at the
• 0:58
Speaker 1: IFCJ working right now on the ground for all those
• 1:02
Speaker 1: in need. From America's revolutionary war to Israel's fight for
• 1:07
Speaker 1: survival in nineteen forty eight, both nations have faced moments
• 1:11
Speaker 1: that tested their courage, yet freedom endured. In October of
• 1:15
Speaker 1: nineteen eighty five, President Ronald Reagan delivered these remarks about
• 1:19
Speaker 1: America's commitment to stand with Israel.
• 1:22
Speaker 3: In our talks, we paid special attention to two issues,
• 1:25
Speaker 3: our commitment to Israel's security and well being and our
• 1:28
Speaker 3: shared desire to move forward together toward a just and
• 1:31
Speaker 3: lasting peace between Israel and all its Arab neighbors. A strong,
• 1:34
Speaker 3: secure Israel is a shared interest.
• 1:37
Speaker 1: As Americas celebrates its two hundred and fiftieth anniversary, the
• 1:41
Speaker 1: International Fellowship of Christians and Jews reflects on the friendship
• 1:45
Speaker 1: between the United States and Israel, two democracies built on faith, liberty,

Speaker 1: and hope. Sign up to receive a free USA Israel

• 1:59
Speaker 1: dot org. That's flag Pin IFCJ dot org. It's the
• 2:05
Speaker 1: forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
• 2:08
  Speaker 2: Story number one.
• 2:09
Speaker 1: All right, I want to take you back in time
• 2:10
Speaker 1: for a moment. Remember Donald Trump when he was running
• 2:12
Speaker 1: for president, he said, Hey, if you elect me, I'm
• 2:14
Speaker 1: gonna get rid of waste, fraud and abuse. I'm going
• 2:16
Speaker 1: to clean house and the swamp and the deep state,
• 2:19
Speaker 1: and I'm going to find great Americans who actually serve
• 2:22
Speaker 1: the interest of the president's agenda, which you guys are
• 2:25
Speaker 1: voting for. Well, here's another example of that campaign promise
• 2:31
Speaker 1: paying off big time. The FBI has busted now several
• 2:35
Speaker 1: fraud schemes across the country in the last few weeks,
• 2:39
Speaker 1: the FBI Director Cash Battel said in the latest weekly
• 2:42
Speaker 1: update to the agency. Patel highlighted some of the results
• 2:47
Speaker 1: of Operation Riptide Now that operation focused on criminal actors
• 2:52
Speaker 1: and the key services they rely on, as well as
• 2:55
Speaker 1: their infrastructure, their tools, and their services, and their communication
• 2:59
Speaker 1: platforms and then their money. FBI Cleveland, for instance, disrupted
• 3:04
Speaker 1: a Chinese fishing platform link to the theft of millions
• 3:08
Speaker 1: of credit card numbers and nearly and this is the
• 3:12
Speaker 1: part that again this goes back to Chinese and why
• 3:14
Speaker 1: you don't want to trust them with things like AI
• 3:16
Speaker 1: nearly one point nine billion dollars and losses worldwide. I
• 3:20
Speaker 1: didn't say one point nine million. I said one point
• 3:23
Speaker 1: nine billion dollars and losses worldwide. Cash Ptel has now
• 3:29
Speaker 1: revealed now as a result of these efforts of the FBI,
• 3:32
Speaker 1: just in Charlotte, they said, two individuals were convicted for
• 3:35
Speaker 1: operating a business email compromise scheme that stole twenty five
• 3:40
Speaker 1: million alone from US companies. Thanks to FBI Boston, our
• 3:45
Speaker 1: Cyber Division and international partners, we helped dismantle a VPN
• 3:51
Speaker 1: service used to buy ransomware groups around the world. He said.
• 3:55
Speaker 1: This exactly what Operation Riptide is about, targeting the cyber
• 3:59
Speaker 1: criminal eco system at every level, and we're just getting
• 4:02
Speaker 1: started now. Fraudsters have also been targeted by the FBI.
• 4:07
Speaker 1: In Los Angeles, for instance, an Orange County man was
• 4:10
Speaker 1: arrested for carrying out a nearly one hundred million dollar
• 4:15
Speaker 1: bank fraud scheme. This, according to Patel, thanks to the FBI. Milwaukee,
• 4:19
Speaker 1: Wisconsin man also plead to go to to frauding nearly
• 4:21
Speaker 1: one hundred ninety investors out of more than fourteen million dollars.
• 4:25
Speaker 1: Then out of New Orleans, a texasman was indicted for
• 4:28
Speaker 1: running a four million dollar investment fraud scam. The victimized
• 4:32
Speaker 1: more than twenty people, he said, noting that a Texas
• 4:35
Speaker 1: couple had also been indicted for stealing more than two
• 4:38
Speaker 1: point five million dollars from vulnerable victims through a year
• 4:42
Speaker 1: long like fraud scheme. Thinks, they said to FBI Seattle.
• 4:49
Speaker 1: They also said that fraud scheme was a psychic fraud scheme,
• 4:52
Speaker 1: so again praying on week, Patel added, the FBI Pittsburgh
• 4:57
Speaker 1: also announced charges against an Ohio woman cues of embezzling
• 5:00
Speaker 1: more than four hundred and sixty thousand dollars from a
• 5:03
Speaker 1: law firm that she was working at as a pair
• 5:05
Speaker 1: legal Seven other individuals, for example, in Las Vegas, were
• 5:10
Speaker 1: arrested for exploiting coronavirus relief programs. You also go all
• 5:15
Speaker 1: the way up to Alaska where an individual there was
• 5:18
Speaker 1: sentenced to prison for defrauding those programs as well. Now,
• 5:21
Speaker 1: the FBI also targeted violent criminals taking illegal weapons off
• 5:26
Speaker 1: the streets. In Birmingham, for example, they had a Operation
• 5:30
Speaker 1: Safer Communities result in thirty six arrests and seizure of
• 5:34
Speaker 1: eleven firearms is part of Summer Heat two point zero,
• 5:37
Speaker 1: and after a separate seven week enforcement effort, FBI Birmingham
• 5:41
Speaker 1: announced more than one hundred and seventy arrests and confiscated
• 5:44
Speaker 1: an additional twenty two illegal firearms. By the way, Democrats
• 5:48
Speaker 1: should be excited about this because they're the ones that
• 5:50
Speaker 1: hate guns the most, so you'd think they'd be like
• 5:52
Speaker 1: super pumped about this, right, no, of course not. They
• 5:55
Speaker 1: hate Caspertel, they hate Donald Trump, they hate law and order,
• 5:59
Speaker 1: and so that's a exactly why they're against this now.
• 6:02
Speaker 1: Patel also revealed highlights from an FBI Littrock sting resulting
• 6:07
Speaker 1: in the arrest of thirty nine people, the seizure of
• 6:10
Speaker 1: thirty five firearms, large quantities of fetnyl that could kill
• 6:14
Speaker 1: many Americans, as well as a lot of other illegal drugs.
• 6:17
Speaker 1: You can go from litt Rock to Portland. The FBI
• 6:20
Speaker 1: saw man sentence to prison for assaulting a federal officer
• 6:24
Speaker 1: during a violent attack, and an immigration and Customs enforcement
• 6:27
Speaker 1: facility that was of course, you know those protests that
• 6:30
Speaker 1: were paid for it yet again by the radical left.
• 6:32
Speaker 1: Patel also reminded agents that their work is saving children,
• 6:37
Speaker 1: and multiple child predators were sentenced, convicted, and charged as
• 6:41
Speaker 1: a result of investigations by the FBI in Tampa, then
• 6:45
Speaker 1: in Boston, Kansas City, and Baltimore. Quote as of yesterday,
• 6:50
Speaker 1: for example, one member of seven hundred and sixty four
• 6:55
Speaker 1: was sentenced to thirty years in prison. He says, always,
• 6:58
Speaker 1: we're going to keep getting after it and I'll see
• 7:01
Speaker 1: you next week. Now you look at that weekly update
• 7:05
Speaker 1: and That's the reason why I wanted you to understand
• 7:07
Speaker 1: kind of how this works. This is not like a
• 7:10
Speaker 1: six month update. This isn't a year end of the
• 7:13
Speaker 1: year like update. This is the weekly update. Next week's
• 7:17
Speaker 1: update will be completely different, with completely different information. I really, really, really,
• 7:24
Speaker 1: really really want you to think about that. Okay, you
• 7:27
Speaker 1: have a FBI that is working right now, by the way,
• 7:32
Speaker 1: exactly how it's supposed to. They're allowing the great men
• 7:35
Speaker 1: and women in uniform to do their jobs. It is
• 7:40
Speaker 1: something that I think should make all of us proud.
• 7:43
Speaker 1: And it's no longer using the FBI for political purposes.
• 7:47
Speaker 1: You may remember, we found out the FBI was actually
• 7:51
Speaker 1: briefing and you go back to politics here. They were
• 7:54
Speaker 1: briefing and sending letters to big tech for example Twitter
• 8:00
Speaker 1: under the prior administration on what they wanted to be censored.
• 8:04
Speaker 1: And when you think about that, they were out there
• 8:07
Speaker 1: spending their time sending emails and finding things that were
• 8:10
Speaker 1: post online by people like Mark and myself and saying, hey,
• 8:14
Speaker 1: we need you to censor this information. There was question
• 8:18
Speaker 1: there were things, for example put online like about ivermectin
• 8:21
Speaker 1: for example, and then what was the government doing. They
• 8:25
Speaker 1: were then connecting the Facebook or Meta to ax and
• 8:29
Speaker 1: others and saying and instagram saying yeah, you guys need
• 8:32
Speaker 1: to take this down. Like think about that. That was
• 8:35
Speaker 1: what law enforcement looked like under Biden Harris and under Obama,
• 8:39
Speaker 1: and then now look at it like we're actually going
• 8:42
Speaker 1: after and taking people down that have committed real, serious,
• 8:46
Speaker 1: heinous crimes. That is something that should make all of
• 8:50
Speaker 1: us excited. And it's again goes back to the promise
• 8:54
Speaker 1: that was made by the president nights its America. We're
• 8:57
Speaker 1: going to go after those that We're gonna go out
• 9:00
Speaker 1: the bad guys. Right, We're gonna go after waste, We're
• 9:02
Speaker 1: gonna after fraud, We're gonna have to go after abuse.
• 9:04
Speaker 1: We are going to go after these things. And that
• 9:09
Speaker 1: is exactly why we should be so excited and proud
• 9:13
Speaker 1: of this. Next story, number two, Gavin Newsom investigation is
• 9:19
Speaker 1: something that is insanely underreported on. So let me go
• 9:23
Speaker 1: to the Sacramento b all right, and I'm just gonna
• 9:26
Speaker 1: read for you something that they had earlier today. The
• 9:29
Speaker 1: DOJ is investigating Gavin Newsom and his wife. Here's what's
• 9:33
Speaker 1: to know. Federal investigators are digging into the finances of
• 9:36
Speaker 1: California Governor Newsom and his wife, the first Partner, Jennifer Newsom.
• 9:42
Speaker 1: The governor calls it a quote political attack tied to
• 9:45
Speaker 1: his expected twenty twenty eight president to run. The Trump
• 9:48
Speaker 1: Administration's Justice Apartment is probing the Newsom ties to nonprofits. Okay,
• 9:53
Speaker 1: this is what we're talking about. A moment ago taxes
• 9:55
Speaker 1: and business dealings going back years, his wife has occupied
• 10:00
Speaker 1: higher profile position compared to the spouse of other state leaders.
• 10:03
Speaker 1: The filmmaker and gender equity advocate has helped shape her
• 10:07
Speaker 1: husband's policies on issues like reproductive health, the male loneliness
• 10:11
Speaker 1: and mental health crisis, school nutrition, and regulating children's access
• 10:16
Speaker 1: to social media. Here are the key takeaways. Now, again
• 10:20
Speaker 1: this is coming from the Sacramento b and again this
• 10:22
Speaker 1: is one of the most underreported stories that if it
• 10:24
Speaker 1: was a Republican that was in this much trouble as
• 10:26
Speaker 1: a governor, it would be wall to wall coverage. Twenty
• 10:29
Speaker 1: four to seven. The US Department of Justice is investigating
• 10:33
Speaker 1: the first Lady of California's taxes and nonprofits connected to
• 10:37
Speaker 1: her and the governor, with several probes ongoing for about
• 10:42
Speaker 1: a year that originated from whistleblower complaints, so that would
• 10:45
Speaker 1: be internal. Okay, this isn't some whistle this isn't some
• 10:48
Speaker 1: witch hunt, This isn't some political you know, Okay, we're
• 10:52
Speaker 1: coming after you because you came after us, or we
• 10:54
Speaker 1: want to retaliate against you type of scenario, which is
• 10:56
Speaker 1: what Gavin Newsom of course said. No. No, this is
• 10:59
Speaker 1: people in and around internally, whistle blowers that complained to
• 11:04
Speaker 1: the US Attorney's office in Sacramento. All right, that's why
• 11:07
Speaker 1: I'm giving you this from the Sacramento b Then number
• 11:10
Speaker 1: two on their list says the IRS and FBI agents
• 11:13
Speaker 1: have approached staff, friends, and associates of the Newsom's in
• 11:16
Speaker 1: recent weeks and obtained their bank records. That's significant. The
• 11:21
Speaker 1: Governor's office said the probe intensified after Todd Blanche became
• 11:25
Speaker 1: acting head of the DOJ. One of the investigations is
• 11:28
Speaker 1: connected to Dana Williamson. Now this is the screaming like,
• 11:34
Speaker 1: this is the fireworks going off moment. So you understand,
• 11:37
Speaker 1: this is the oh, you know what moment if you
• 11:40
Speaker 1: are Gavin Newsom internally. Okay, One of the investigations connected
• 11:45
Speaker 1: to Dana Williamson. That is Newsom's former very close friend
• 11:51
Speaker 1: and former chief of staff. Now, why is that significant, Well,
• 11:54
Speaker 1: Dana has pled guilty to federal charges. Okay, she's pled
• 11:59
Speaker 1: guilty to fraud and line to the FBI last month
• 12:03
Speaker 1: and faces up to thirty six years in prison with
• 12:06
Speaker 1: the plea agreement. Now, and go back to what I
• 12:09
Speaker 1: said earlier, This isn't a witch hunt. This is whistleblowers
• 12:12
Speaker 1: within the government whistleblowing and then seeing major problems and
• 12:16
Speaker 1: then a Newsom's former chief of staff pleading guilty to
• 12:20
Speaker 1: federal charges on fraud in line to the FBI and
• 12:23
Speaker 1: is facing up to thirty eight years in prison. That
• 12:26
Speaker 1: is what you refer to as someone rolling. So this
• 12:28
Speaker 1: is someone who's trying to get like, trying to spend
• 12:30
Speaker 1: the rest of their life in jail. They know a
• 12:32
Speaker 1: lot obviously about Gavin Newsom's wife, this former chief of staff,
• 12:36
Speaker 1: and clearly is singing like a canary, I think is
• 12:38
Speaker 1: a fair way of putting it. Now, the First Lady
• 12:41
Speaker 1: of California. Newsom earned about two point three million from
• 12:45
Speaker 1: the Representation Project nonprofit between twenty eleven and twenty eighteen.
• 12:50
Speaker 1: That's a hell of a lot of money from a nonprofit
• 12:51
Speaker 1: two point three million. A twenty twenty one Sacramento b
• 12:54
Speaker 1: investigation found more than eight hundred thousand donations to the
• 12:58
Speaker 1: nonprofit from companies that directly lobbied the governor, meaning her husband.
• 13:03
Speaker 1: You understand where we're going with this, all right. So
• 13:06
Speaker 1: you've got companies that are directly lobbying the governor, and
• 13:10
Speaker 1: all of a sudden, at the same time, you got
• 13:12
Speaker 1: more than one hundred thousand dollars in donations to the
• 13:14
Speaker 1: nonprofit from companies that needed to do business with and
• 13:19
Speaker 1: we're lobbying the governor who happened to be her husband.
• 13:22
Speaker 1: All right. That included PG and e AT and T
• 13:27
Speaker 1: and Kaser as well. Now, just days before the DOJ
• 13:32
Speaker 1: pro became public, the state's Fair Political Practice Commission actually
• 13:37
Speaker 1: find Gavin Newsom. Now this is probably the first time
• 13:39
Speaker 1: you're even hearing about this, okay, So you know, you know,
• 13:43
Speaker 1: when there's like smoke, there's fire that's saying, well, now
• 13:45
Speaker 1: we have fire, not just smoke, all right. So, just
• 13:48
Speaker 1: days before the dog pro became public, the state's Fair
• 13:52
Speaker 1: Political Practice Commission find Gavin Newsom more than thirty one
• 13:56
Speaker 1: thousand dollars for failing to report you ready five point
• 14:01
Speaker 1: six million and charitable donations on time, with most going
• 14:06
Speaker 1: to California Fire Foundation. During the twenty twenty five Los
• 14:09
Speaker 1: Angeles wildfires, Newsom was late filing reports on so called
• 14:15
Speaker 1: behested payments not once, not twice, not ten times, not
• 14:19
Speaker 1: twenty five times, but thirty four times alone in twenty
• 14:24
Speaker 1: twenty five, and the governor has previously been fined for
• 14:27
Speaker 1: failing to disclose fourteen million in donations made between nine
• 14:31
Speaker 1: and twenty twenty four. Now, in a video post on
• 14:34
Speaker 1: social media, Newsom called Trump the most quote corrupt president
• 14:37
Speaker 1: of American history blah blah blah, and said the White
• 14:39
Speaker 1: House is abusing the grand jury process at target him
• 14:42
Speaker 1: because he's considering a twenty twenty eight presidential run. No,
• 14:45
Speaker 1: none of this started under Trump. This all started in
• 14:48
Speaker 1: the state by whistleblowers who came forward. And then you
• 14:54
Speaker 1: have a former chief of Stafford Gavin Newsom, who has
• 14:57
Speaker 1: taken a plea deal begging to not spend and the
• 15:00
Speaker 1: rest of their life in prison. I'm gonna tell you
• 15:03
Speaker 1: right now, when you have whistleblowers that are doing what
• 15:06
Speaker 1: they're doing in California, you know it's bad. And when
• 15:08
Speaker 1: you have whistle blowers in California that are who then
• 15:12
Speaker 1: get to a point with data that's actually putting the
• 15:16
Speaker 1: chief of staff of Gavin Newsom in prison, and then
• 15:20
Speaker 1: him and then that person taking a deal, and then
• 15:22
Speaker 1: of course the pushback is, well, you just need to understand,
• 15:26
Speaker 1: right you just you need to understand that this is
• 15:30
Speaker 1: all witch hunt. That's what Gavin Newsom said, is press comfort.
• 15:32
Speaker 1: This is all Donald Trump being evil. Donald Trump's a
• 15:34
Speaker 1: bad guy, Donald Trump is terrible. Donald Trump is the
• 15:37
Speaker 1: worst person in the world. And this is all because
• 15:39
Speaker 1: I'm gonna win the presidency. Okay, buddy, sure, whatever you say.
• 15:42
Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you right now, there is a
• 15:45
Speaker 1: very good chance that Gavin Newsom will not be running
• 15:47
Speaker 1: for president. There's a very good chance to do that.
• 15:49
Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom's gonna be fighting for his life to not
• 15:51
Speaker 1: be in prison based on what we are witnessing right now.
• 15:55
