- 0:01Speaker 1: Live from the Whiskey sixty one Lounge inside the Bank
- 0:03Speaker 1: Plus Studio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: I'm in the studio.
- 0:06Speaker 1: It's The Bound Show Bound streaming live worldwide on the
- 0:10Speaker 1: Out of Bounds Radio hand on your radio N one
- 0:14Speaker 1: oh five point nine The Zone.
- 0:31Speaker 2: M Not really, that's cool. Great, Yeah, that's a good one.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Not really.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Uh, we are the out of Bound Show e s
- 0:49Speaker 3: P N one oh five nine The Zone. Kurt Signetti
- 0:52Speaker 3: is the Clint Eastwood of college football. He really is.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Not really, that's who he is. Kurts is the Clint
- 1:01Speaker 3: Eastwood of college football. You know, he's a dude that
- 1:07Speaker 3: kind of comes out of nowhere. You don't want to
- 1:09Speaker 3: mess with him, and you feel like he may take
- 1:12Speaker 3: you out.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Not really.
- 1:14Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not sure that anybody came back from
- 1:16Speaker 3: summer vacation with Kurt Signetti.
- 1:19Speaker 5: Not really. Yeah, he took he took a summer vacation.
- 1:24Speaker 5: I think he did. I think he did. Yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Now, I'm not gonna say that he wasn't out on
- 1:30Speaker 3: the back porch wherever they were, terrace or ocean or river.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:39Speaker 3: And while he's visiting with family, he's also thinking about
- 1:41Speaker 3: what are we going to do?
- 1:42Speaker 5: On third and four in the red zone.
- 1:44Speaker 6: You think he's getting any like inside info from the
- 1:48Speaker 6: fam maybe what they would do.
- 1:49Speaker 5: No, I don't.
- 1:51Speaker 3: I think his family is over the moon that while
- 1:56Speaker 3: he made more than solid money, yeah, throughout his career,
- 2:04Speaker 3: he's now making great grandkids money because he's making thirteen.
- 2:08Speaker 6: Maniars right, I'm talking about the in laws. Oh yeah,
- 2:12Speaker 6: the in laws that they did that.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I don't know about his in laws, but you know,
- 2:18Speaker 3: you could see. I don't think this would happen, but
- 2:21Speaker 3: we do. We're all around people that have no self awareness,
- 2:24Speaker 3: and it would be awesome if a son in law
- 2:29Speaker 3: walked up to him at the beach this summer and said, hey, coach,
- 2:36Speaker 3: I was thinking about what you could do if you
- 2:38Speaker 3: started the conversation like that after going fifteen and oh
- 2:41Speaker 3: and winning a national championship, and now we feel like
- 2:45Speaker 3: he's a football savant. Right, Yeah, there's no doubt that's happened. Well, no,
- 2:50Speaker 3: there is, but I wouldn't. I wouldn't be surprised either way.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay.
- 2:55Speaker 6: He he started, uh, you know, big ten media days
- 2:58Speaker 6: obviously late July by saying, I've been on vacation long enough.
- 3:02Speaker 6: I'm tired of being bossed around by my wife. I'm
- 3:04Speaker 6: ready to bos somebody else around and develop a football team. Well,
- 3:08Speaker 6: if anybody can do it in six weeks, it's Kurt
- 3:11Speaker 6: blank Signetty.
- 3:13Speaker 3: He was in Satan Bart's nice. That's a good spot
- 3:16Speaker 3: to be. So he figured out a nice play. Hey,
- 3:20Speaker 3: when you got a private jet, you're making thirteen million
- 3:23Speaker 3: a year, you can go rent an island for a
- 3:25Speaker 3: week or ten days and everybody can have a good time.
- 3:27Speaker 3: You can have a personal chef and said he was
- 3:29Speaker 3: recognized unexpectedly. That doesn't surprise me as much as you're
- 3:34Speaker 3: on TV now, I mean when you make that kind
- 3:38Speaker 3: of run.
- 3:38Speaker 5: I know.
- 3:39Speaker 3: We didn't really wake up to him until this past year.
- 3:42Speaker 3: The first year they went to the college football player
- 3:43Speaker 3: Let's be honest, we thought, oh, that's cute and sweet
- 3:45Speaker 3: and fun. First year he went to the college football playoff,
- 3:49Speaker 3: got bounced. Okay, that was fun, Indiana, thank you for playing. Yes,
- 3:53Speaker 3: you know, almost like James Madison where he coached before.
- 3:57Speaker 3: You know, going to the college football Playoff for Tulane.
- 3:59Speaker 3: You know, you're like, that's cute and sweet and fun.
- 4:01Speaker 3: But whatever, And then in year two he decides to
- 4:04Speaker 3: embarrass Alabama embarrass Oregon and beat Miami and go undefeated.
- 4:10Speaker 3: I don't know if we understand how historic or if
- 4:14Speaker 3: we've really thought about it, how historic and remarkable it is.
- 4:19Speaker 3: And was that Indiana did. Did Kurt Signetti and his
- 4:23Speaker 3: football staff did this in a short period of time
- 4:26Speaker 3: in year two on the campus of the University of
- 4:29Speaker 3: Indiana in Bloomington, Indiana, where you can't even name one
- 4:34Speaker 3: of their football players until Fernando Mendoza and don't tell
- 4:38Speaker 3: me Michael Pennox until Fernando Mendoza was you know, goes
- 4:44Speaker 3: through and then even a lot of people didn't even know. Look,
- 4:47Speaker 3: there were people who sat down excited about the National
- 4:49Speaker 3: Championship Game and were like, who is that Federico Morales.
- 4:54Speaker 5: I mean, you just hadn't kept up. They knew, but
- 4:56Speaker 5: they didn't know.
- 4:58Speaker 3: And then he's the number one pick in the I mean,
- 5:00Speaker 3: not only didn't he Indiana win it, they had the
- 5:02Speaker 3: number one pick in the NFL draft.
- 5:07Speaker 5: The reason they did with it one of the reasons, sure,
- 5:11Speaker 5: no question. Yeah, so you throw Michael Pennocks under the bus.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I did not well. He ended his career at at Washington.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Is the reason why I said that I'm not throwing
- 5:25Speaker 3: Michael Pennocks under the bus for our listeners. He was
- 5:28Speaker 3: in Indiana and then Washington. Yeah, just hanging out washing Tua,
- 5:35Speaker 3: Atlanta Falcons, Baby Tua Tongue Baloa and and Michael Pennocks
- 5:38Speaker 3: going head to head.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Boy, that's just delicious. Let's go.
- 5:44Speaker 3: I mean, what am I excited about in the NFC South?
- 5:46Speaker 3: Tyler Tua, Tyler Shuck or Bryce Young?
- 5:53Speaker 5: Oh? Why Baker out?
- 5:56Speaker 1: No?
- 5:56Speaker 3: Baker is some something because people either love or hate him.
- 6:00Speaker 3: You know, he's kind of got that bad boy thing going.
- 6:03Speaker 3: He goes to did he go to did he go
- 6:09Speaker 3: to A and M before Oklahoma?
- 6:11Speaker 5: Is that what it was? Or do you go to
- 6:13Speaker 5: Texas Tech? I can't even remember.
- 6:18Speaker 3: But didn't he go walk on the skye to Unbelievable
- 6:22Speaker 3: Player to take Oklahoma Tech to Oklahoma? Okay? Well Mahomes
- 6:31Speaker 3: went through Texas Tech? Was there an overlap there Jay
- 6:35Speaker 3: Meadows where Baker eventually went to Oklahoma and started and Mahon?
- 6:40Speaker 3: Of course, Cliff Kingsbury couldn't go more than like six
- 6:43Speaker 3: and six or seven and five with Patrick Mahomes in
- 6:46Speaker 3: a week week week Big twelve. But evidently according to
- 6:51Speaker 3: the numbers. Cliff Kingsbury is one hell of an offensive
- 6:55Speaker 3: coordinator play caller.
- 6:56Speaker 6: Mahomes started there in fourteen and he was out. He
- 6:59Speaker 6: started did Oklahoma in fourteen. So they were there, they
- 7:03Speaker 6: got they were maybe one was transitioning out, the other
- 7:07Speaker 6: one transitioning in.
- 7:08Speaker 3: So they played in the Big twelve at the same time.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Oh cool. And I think Stoop that was
- 7:14Speaker 3: that was before Lincoln took over, So I think that
- 7:17Speaker 3: was still with Bob Stoops. Sure, okay, And I do
- 7:20Speaker 3: know that Cliff Kingsbury coach Mahomes at Texas Tech before
- 7:24Speaker 3: getting fired, but then somehow getting hired as the Arizona
- 7:27Speaker 3: Cardinals head coach and then and then that didn't work.
- 7:31Speaker 5: But as a play caller, he's sure. He looks good.
- 7:34Speaker 2: All right.
- 7:35Speaker 3: You can get in touch with us on the Dancing
- 7:37Speaker 3: Rabbit golf text line six oh one eight eight five, three, seven,
- 7:41Speaker 3: seven six. Here's the deal with Indiana. Your brain, in
- 7:45Speaker 3: my brain has rejected what was happened, what has happened,
- 7:48Speaker 3: because that's how we are a sports fans. I talk
- 7:50Speaker 3: about it all the time. Right by sixteen, This is
- 7:54Speaker 3: give or take, This is what you think about sports
- 7:57Speaker 3: there's no wiggle room, hard headed males. This is you know,
- 8:00Speaker 3: this was my playing It's kind of based off your
- 8:03Speaker 3: playing career, who you played with, who you know, kind
- 8:06Speaker 3: of the teams that you liked, whatever. Breaking out of
- 8:10Speaker 3: that is virtually impossible from sixteen to ninety years old.
- 8:14Speaker 3: So your brain wants to reject that Indiana won the
- 8:18Speaker 3: national championship, that the Big Ten has won back to
- 8:22Speaker 3: back to back national championships, and that the SEC hasn't
- 8:26Speaker 3: even had anybody in the championship game. And the league's
- 8:28Speaker 3: never been more watered down, and I believe that it
- 8:31Speaker 3: could be even more watered down this year. It's never
- 8:35Speaker 3: been a better time to win in the Southeastern Conference.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Bandy just went ten and two, Ole Miss went eleven
- 8:40Speaker 3: and one. Any other questions, Vanderbilt, the worst recruiter by
- 8:47Speaker 3: a good stretch, just went ten and two and got
- 8:52Speaker 3: snubbed in the College Football Playoff. The two teams that
- 8:54Speaker 3: were snubbed at the highest level according to the numbers,
- 8:57Speaker 3: Vanderbilt Notre Dame.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Last year.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Your thoughts, I'd like to hear from you on the
- 9:05Speaker 3: out of bounds roll call. But do you agree that
- 9:09Speaker 3: our brains have rejected what has happened in college football
- 9:13Speaker 3: and the fact that the Indiana Hoosiers are the national champs.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Not only the champs, they were undefeated. It was not
- 9:18Speaker 3: they smoked Obama embarrassed, Oregon beat Miami. These are I mean,
- 9:27Speaker 3: Miami's kind of they're a big brand, but they weren't
- 9:31Speaker 3: good for twenty years. Good team last year they did
- 9:34Speaker 3: they did.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Find us on x at bo bounds.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Tweet to us at bo bounds and the Michelo Vultracolar
- 9:42Speaker 3: line of six oh one seven zero seven thirty seven fifty.
- 9:57Speaker 5: If you're in the market for a truck. Oh wow.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Well, we're dedicating this to one of our listeners. We
- 10:23Speaker 3: are the Out of Bounds Show ESPN one oh five
- 10:27Speaker 3: nine The Zone Mike Natilier coming up next eight thirty
- 10:32Speaker 3: LSU Tigers, Clemson, Baton Rouge, Week one Game Day Baton Rouge,
- 10:40Speaker 3: and UH Week three Jackson. We put the lines for
- 10:43Speaker 3: me police for LSU Clemson into l s U Ole Miss.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Week one, LSU hosting Clemson game Day will be there
- 10:52Speaker 3: and then week three LSU at Ole Miss Game Day
- 10:56Speaker 3: will be there. Can you imagine say it is going
- 11:00Speaker 3: to be up there Saturday morning in the grove, in
- 11:03Speaker 3: the grove, and he's already good, right, it doesn't matter
- 11:09Speaker 3: what game he's talking about. He's done his homework and
- 11:13Speaker 3: he is an exceptional analyst. And not all former great
- 11:19Speaker 3: coaches are, but Saban is, which almost makes you mad,
- 11:23Speaker 3: because he's a renaissance man. He's just it doesn't matter
- 11:26Speaker 3: what he does. He could be president of the United
- 11:29Speaker 3: States and he'd be more effective than the last six
- 11:32Speaker 3: of them. But one thing when you think about Saturday
- 11:37Speaker 3: morning in Oxford in the grove, Ole Miss hosting LSU,
- 11:43Speaker 3: is this, there's no one that they can talk to
- 11:48Speaker 3: that's more familiar with Pete Golding and Lane Kiffen than
- 11:53Speaker 3: Nick Saban. Pete Golden coached under Nick Saban coached under
- 12:00Speaker 3: And what's cool is one was on the defensive side
- 12:03Speaker 3: of the football and one was on the offensive side
- 12:04Speaker 3: of the football. And then, of course y'all all know
- 12:07Speaker 3: that Laye and Pete coached together. And now there's no
- 12:12Speaker 3: love loss between Ole Miss and Lane and LSU fans
- 12:18Speaker 3: just kind of shrugged their shoulders.
- 12:19Speaker 5: They don't care.
- 12:20Speaker 3: I mean, you could tell by what Detilier said a
- 12:22Speaker 3: month or two ago. But it's gonna be delicious. It's
- 12:27Speaker 3: gonna be the forty ounce bone en Tomahawk of college football,
- 12:36Speaker 3: and then we all hope the game goes absolutely down
- 12:39Speaker 3: to the wire. Now, somebody on our text line just said,
- 12:45Speaker 3: asked us on the Dancing Rabbit Golf text line, bo,
- 12:49Speaker 3: should I rent my condo for seven thousand dollars and
- 12:52Speaker 3: sell my five tickets for three thousand or go to
- 12:56Speaker 3: the LSU game in Oxford?
- 12:57Speaker 4: Well?
- 12:58Speaker 3: I would, I would rent and sell. So, I mean,
- 13:02Speaker 3: if you can get to I think you can get
- 13:04Speaker 3: more than that. But let's just say ten thousand for
- 13:06Speaker 3: what you're talking about, renting your condo and selling your
- 13:09Speaker 3: tickets for ten grand, absolutely taking your party. And I
- 13:16Speaker 3: know some of you are renting your spots for much more.
- 13:21Speaker 3: But yeah, I would rent and uh watch it from
- 13:26Speaker 3: your house or from.
- 13:28Speaker 5: The beach, and then bathe in the money. And then
- 13:31Speaker 5: there you go, bathe in the money, bathe in the money. Okay.
- 13:39Speaker 3: We also had William on the Dancing Rabbit Golf text
- 13:44Speaker 3: line asked a question.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So.
- 13:46Speaker 3: I mentioned earlier that Steve Palazzolo, our NFL Insider NFL
- 13:52Speaker 3: Podcast of the Year, he joined us on Friday. He
- 13:54Speaker 3: was great on Drew Brees and Mahomes and we love
- 13:58Speaker 3: talking NFL quarterbacks and so on.
- 14:00Speaker 5: He talked to Burrow and all that.
- 14:03Speaker 3: But Steve Palazzolo, he's six foot ten, played minor league baseball,
- 14:08Speaker 3: got to Triple A San Francisco Giants. He's been covering
- 14:13Speaker 3: the NFL for fifteen years. Had the NFL Podcast of
- 14:16Speaker 3: the Year a couple of years ago. He had four
- 14:20Speaker 3: boys under ten, and now his wife's pregnant and it's
- 14:25Speaker 3: another boy. So he's going to have a basketball team
- 14:27Speaker 3: either under ten or eleven, which took us to voseectomies,
- 14:31Speaker 3: which then William says, bo I'm about to have my
- 14:35Speaker 3: fourth kid in a few weeks. Any doctor recommendations for
- 14:38Speaker 3: a vasectomy, and so that's evidently he's tapping out with
- 14:44Speaker 3: almost the starting lineup in uh. Now you've got a
- 14:49Speaker 3: doubles team in tennis.
- 14:51Speaker 5: That's a win.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:53Speaker 5: I mean those little people when they get up whatever.
- 14:57Speaker 3: I don't know what to separate, but you know, if
- 14:58Speaker 3: you've got a four, six, eight, and ten, they can play.
- 15:03Speaker 3: You can match them up strength the you know, split
- 15:05Speaker 3: the two best players or oldest.
- 15:08Speaker 5: I don't even know how.
- 15:09Speaker 3: And then you've got two doubles teams. That's all sufficiency. Yeah,
- 15:15Speaker 3: making making them two pickleball team. I've never played pickle ball,
- 15:18Speaker 3: but you've got two pickleball teams. Have you ever played pickleball?
- 15:21Speaker 5: Okay, I played real sports.
- 15:23Speaker 6: Oh wow, trying to be the best at exercise.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Wow.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Okay, south bound and down pickleball? Oh wow, pit it's
- 15:34Speaker 3: going out there and stretch a little bit. But she
- 15:37Speaker 3: played tennis. Yeah, okay, it is a real sport. Yeah,
- 15:41Speaker 3: it's just I was watching the nadal Uh the docu
- 15:46Speaker 3: series on Netflix. Holy moly, it's it's intense, beast, it's intense. Yeah,
- 15:52Speaker 3: we talk about we're so football. We talk about Brady
- 15:55Speaker 3: and his greatness, Mahomes and his greatness, Montana and his greatness,
- 16:01Speaker 3: and and so on. Well and Rod even though he's
- 16:04Speaker 3: only got one Rogers Oh yeah, yeah, the most talented
- 16:07Speaker 3: of them all in the two thousands. Definitely more so
- 16:11Speaker 3: than than Peyton and Brady. It's probably the coolest one.
- 16:13Speaker 3: And I think Drew's the coolest. You think so, I
- 16:16Speaker 3: think Drew is the coolest. Aaron is up there. He's
- 16:22Speaker 3: so polarizing, though. It's fabulous for us because any kind
- 16:25Speaker 3: of lane being polarizing, Nick Saban when he was coaching,
- 16:28Speaker 3: being polarizing, Brady being polarizing.
- 16:31Speaker 5: Aaron Rodgers, we love it. We love it.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Think you're sleeping even like Tony Boutallo in a sport
- 16:38Speaker 3: that doesn't drive the train. But we love being polarizing
- 16:42Speaker 3: gets people hot. By Sean Payton was polarizing in New
- 16:44Speaker 3: Orleans because he wasn't scared to talk trash.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Uh and he's one of the few on Twitter. What
- 16:49Speaker 5: were you just interrupted you? What'd you say?
- 16:51Speaker 6: Oh, that's a great question, maybe about about Bartolo not.
- 16:55Speaker 5: Making it out of the year.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Well, anyway, so the fasific Rogers being cool, I think
- 17:02Speaker 3: you're underestimating it. No, I think he is cool, Okay,
- 17:06Speaker 3: And I love Breeze. I think Breeze is real cool too.
- 17:09Speaker 6: But Rogers, like I mean, you know, there's that kid
- 17:12Speaker 6: that he found on Instagram, and he probably brings him
- 17:15Speaker 6: out to the games and stuff. Now, yeah, because he
- 17:17Speaker 6: throws the ball like him on Instagram's funny. Aaron Rodgers.
- 17:21Speaker 6: I would this is probably gonna be his last year.
- 17:23Speaker 6: He and Mike McCarthy are reuniting as they were in
- 17:28Speaker 6: Green Bay years ago together, right, and then Aaron's bounced around,
- 17:32Speaker 6: as you know, and now they're with the Pittsburgh Steelers,
- 17:35Speaker 6: which sounds weird, right, Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy, even
- 17:38Speaker 6: though Mike's from Pennsylvania and grew up a Steelers fan,
- 17:41Speaker 6: So this is like this was his dream job, which
- 17:44Speaker 6: is incredible, Okay, And so he's all tied into that,
- 17:49Speaker 6: to that state, and we know how much that state
- 17:50Speaker 6: loves the Steelers, the Eagles and penn State. Good lord,
- 17:55Speaker 6: I mean, and I'm yeah, holy Mary OL's they love it.
- 18:01Speaker 6: We talked about how much we love sports, and we do,
- 18:03Speaker 6: and all in the Sun Belt we love everything from
- 18:06Speaker 6: football to softball, to baseball to volleyball. But good lord,
- 18:11Speaker 6: Pennsylvania Steelers, of course, one of the top three franchises
- 18:17Speaker 6: of all time in the NFL. Eagles have won two
- 18:21Speaker 6: Super Bowls just in the last few years and have
- 18:23Speaker 6: been to god knows how many NFC Championship games under
- 18:29Speaker 6: Andy Reid and then threw Sirianic what yeah, no, no, no,
- 18:35Speaker 6: he went to five just with Donovan McNabb and Andy,
- 18:38Speaker 6: and then they've been to several since then, and then
- 18:42Speaker 6: they've won two with two different coaches. Peterson one, and
- 18:46Speaker 6: then Sirianni won because they embarrassed Mahomes and the Chiefs
- 18:51Speaker 6: two years ago. Anyway, come in full circle. We just
- 18:54Speaker 6: went from Bosseectomies to super Bowls and that's what we
- 18:56Speaker 6: do here on the Out of Bounds Show. Want to
- 18:58Speaker 6: welcome you in. Hey, good morning. The show is brought

- 21:13Speaker 3: or Sart Luke's Oh, Kiffin, without question.
- 21:20Speaker 4: I mean they they've almost set themselves up for a
- 21:24Speaker 4: nowhere to go but down scenario. When you consider the
- 21:27Speaker 4: pressure and the expectations, the resources that have been allotted,
- 21:31Speaker 4: the money that has already been spent, the ballet hood,
- 21:35Speaker 4: recruiting class, transfer portal class, all of it. I mean,
- 21:39Speaker 4: this isn't This isn't like taking the old miss job
- 21:42Speaker 4: and that you get to a nine win season and
- 21:43Speaker 4: they are going to build a statue of you outside
- 21:46Speaker 4: of the stadium. This is a college football playoff top
- 21:51Speaker 4: four or five seed. We expect it right now. Type
- 21:57Speaker 4: of expectation and fair or on fair they've created this,
- 22:02Speaker 4: and that's fine because that's the nature of the business.
- 22:05Speaker 4: You know, Stark's gonna have a great football team. I
- 22:08Speaker 4: think Kirby's gonna have a great football team. But right now,
- 22:12Speaker 4: this is about Lane establishing LSU as a national title
- 22:17Speaker 4: contender right out of the gate and.
- 22:19Speaker 3: A tough September schedule for Lane with Clemson and Ole
- 22:25Speaker 3: miss and A and m So. Tom Lougan Bill on
- 22:28Speaker 3: the at of bound show which roster would you take today? Texas, Georgia, LSU, Lukes.
- 22:34Speaker 4: Uh Texas and Georgia over LSU's roster. The reason why
- 22:39Speaker 4: I say that is there are more returning, verifiable, proven
- 22:47Speaker 4: players on Texas and Georgia in relationship to guys that
- 22:51Speaker 4: have played and been within the program. Right, So when
- 22:54Speaker 4: you look at Georgia and Notre Dames. Actually in this
- 22:57Speaker 4: conversation too, you look at Georgia and you look at
- 22:59Speaker 4: Tech and you say, okay, we're the established foundations. Clearly
- 23:04Speaker 4: on the high school side, have they for the most part,
- 23:07Speaker 4: You're not going to be able to do it with everybody,
- 23:08Speaker 4: but have they developed and retained at the high school level? Yes?
- 23:12Speaker 4: And then they supplement and they sprinkle in transfer portal additions.
- 23:16Speaker 4: More than likely, upper classman guys are going to bring experience,
- 23:19Speaker 4: they're going to bring age, they're going to bring maturity,
- 23:23Speaker 4: and right now, from an established standpoint, I mean, you'd
- 23:26Speaker 4: have to take Texas or Georgia.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Okay, But having said all that, LSU's you know, they're
- 23:34Speaker 3: not far off.
- 23:35Speaker 4: No, And I think LSU has got a high ceiling. Okay, Okay,
- 23:39Speaker 4: but I've said this to you multiple times on your program.
- 23:45Speaker 4: If Sam Levitt doesn't perform, and more importantly, doesn't stay healthy,
- 23:50Speaker 4: then they're likely going to be, you know, jumping to
- 23:53Speaker 4: a youngster if that were to happen, and it's happened
- 23:56Speaker 4: a lot with him, right the previous two years at Arizona,
- 23:59Speaker 4: the state, and a lot of the hype, Let's not forget,
- 24:01Speaker 4: a lot of the hype on him was based off
- 24:04Speaker 4: of that twenty twenty four season, right, and not much
- 24:08Speaker 4: other of a sample size to warrant that hype. So
- 24:12Speaker 4: he's gonna have to come through big for them.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Yeah, So eight and four, eight and four will just
- 24:20Speaker 3: be a big time disappointment. And you can't get in
- 24:24Speaker 3: at nine and three. I don't with the twelve until
- 24:27Speaker 3: we go to sixteen, twenty or twenty four Lukes, which
- 24:29Speaker 3: is happening, but we just don't know which number. I
- 24:33Speaker 3: think a bunch of SEC teams and Big ten teams
- 24:36Speaker 3: will go at nine and three eventually. But this is
- 24:40Speaker 3: going to be a year where Sankie thought we would
- 24:43Speaker 3: have expanded by now. They couldn't get on the same page,
- 24:46Speaker 3: as you know, but they went ahead and added the
- 24:48Speaker 3: ninth conference game, So we could have a big cluster
- 24:52Speaker 3: of nine and three teams that are on the outside
- 24:56Speaker 3: looking in, even though that could be a good year
- 24:58Speaker 3: in the.
- 24:59Speaker 4: SEC, of course, but you could have that out of
- 25:01Speaker 4: a conference. You could have that out of the out
- 25:03Speaker 4: of the ACC too. What I mean, what if what
- 25:05Speaker 4: if Miami's right there in it again? Uh, Clemson's in
- 25:09Speaker 4: a position right now or for the first time in
- 25:11Speaker 4: what fifteen years? Nobody's talking about them. Yeah, like they're
- 25:15Speaker 4: lying in the weeds to me. You got Louisville, you
- 25:20Speaker 4: got SMU sitting there. There could be a bunch of
- 25:21Speaker 4: teams sitting there at ten and two, nine and three
- 25:24Speaker 4: out of all of the conferences, right and and and
- 25:27Speaker 4: then what do you do? What? What you got to
- 25:29Speaker 4: make sure we don't do is go down last year's path,
- 25:32Speaker 4: and the ACC created that. But to leave teams like
- 25:35Speaker 4: BYU Texas, even Vanderbilt, Notre Dame and Notre Dame at
- 25:40Speaker 4: home in favor of James Madison in Tulane is absolutely
- 25:44Speaker 4: laughable because that's the difference. And I think I said
- 25:48Speaker 4: this to you too, Bo. The nobody wants to talk
- 25:50Speaker 4: about Cinderella's and you know those long shots and you
- 25:53Speaker 4: want to root from and this and that. Well, the
- 25:56Speaker 4: difference between the basketball tournament and the football college football
- 26:01Speaker 4: Playoff is basketball doesn't leave the blue blood established program
- 26:06Speaker 4: sitting at home to let the Cinderella in right, right,
- 26:10Speaker 4: We just left those guys at home. And they want
- 26:13Speaker 4: to call it the twelve best teams in college football.
- 26:15Speaker 4: Give me a brink.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Come on, that's a good point on Notre Dame in
- 26:20Speaker 3: Texas and to a certain extent, Bandy going ten and
- 26:22Speaker 3: two sure and getting sure and getting left out. Tom
- 26:26Speaker 3: Logan Bill on the Out of Bounds Show driven by
- 26:28Speaker 3: your next GMC Sierra Truck at Fowler GMC, you mentioned
- 26:33Speaker 3: Notre Dame and you're heavily you know you started it
- 26:39Speaker 3: quarterback at Georgia Tech. You covered the ACC forever. Now
- 26:43Speaker 3: you're heavily involved in the ACC. They're tied in with
- 26:47Speaker 3: their four or five games a year. But have you
- 26:50Speaker 3: ever in modern era Luke's looked at a schedule that
- 26:54Speaker 3: lines up this way considered considering what Marcus Freeman and
- 26:59Speaker 3: Notre Dame are and back.
- 27:02Speaker 1: No.
- 27:02Speaker 4: I mean it's you know what it is. It's the
- 27:04Speaker 4: perfect recipe for a national title run. It's also the
- 27:07Speaker 4: perfect recipe for disaster.
- 27:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Right, it's a double edged sword. And you know when
- 27:13Speaker 4: you look, go look at Notre Dame and the job
- 27:16Speaker 4: that they've done in terms of development and retention. They've
- 27:19Speaker 4: got a potential top five pick at quarterback. They've got
- 27:22Speaker 4: two young, outstanding offensive tackles on both sides. The biggest
- 27:26Speaker 4: thing for me about Notre Dame is they're gonna have
- 27:28Speaker 4: to come up with a way of generating pass rush.
- 27:30Speaker 4: You know, that was something that was lacking a year ago.
- 27:32Speaker 4: I think they've got to increase the output there, create
- 27:35Speaker 4: more negative plays in the backfield, get people in second
- 27:38Speaker 4: and third and long on a more consistent basis. But
- 27:41Speaker 4: everything else is there, man. I mean, they are established
- 27:44Speaker 4: and they've got the schedule where outside of probably the
- 27:48Speaker 4: Miami contest, it's not even close in terms of roster
- 27:53Speaker 4: profile comparison with Notre Dame and whoever else they're playing.
- 27:57Speaker 3: And I think that games can shup in it is yeah, beautiful, incredible,
- 28:06Speaker 3: and so I mean, we we all have them in
- 28:09Speaker 3: the They could they could screw it up, but we
- 28:11Speaker 3: all have them in the College Football Playoff with their
- 28:13Speaker 3: schedule and talent.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Yeah, if they're in the top twelve, it doesn't matter
- 28:16Speaker 4: what they do. They're in right right. And if that
- 28:19Speaker 4: roster and that team with that schedule isn't in the
- 28:22Speaker 4: top twelve, then they've had a twenty five Clemson collapse.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Yeah, right out of bounds. ESPN one oh five nine
- 28:32Speaker 3: to the zone you mentioned Texas, I'm not sure. I
- 28:36Speaker 3: know they have the talent. We all know that, But
- 28:40Speaker 3: I don't know if I'm buying so Kaikowski to me
- 28:43Speaker 3: like premiere, big time defensive coordinator, musch Champs like good,
- 28:47Speaker 3: but he's in the B level. I think Kaikowski's in
- 28:50Speaker 3: the A level.
- 28:51Speaker 4: Oh, I don't. I don't know if I agree with that.
- 28:53Speaker 4: I think there's been there. I think there's been plenty
- 28:56Speaker 4: of proof that will much Champ is a coordinator is
- 29:00Speaker 4: at the elite level. Now, we all know you got
- 29:03Speaker 4: to have players, right, You got to have really really
- 29:05Speaker 4: good players, and really really good players make you a
- 29:09Speaker 4: really really good coach. Sure, and Texas is going to
- 29:12Speaker 4: have that. You know it'll be. Now, it might look
- 29:15Speaker 4: a little different, they might be a little bit different
- 29:17Speaker 4: schematically and things of that nature. But understand too that
- 29:21Speaker 4: it's all coming off of the of the same tree
- 29:24Speaker 4: and start coached under that tree. Like he knows exactly
- 29:27Speaker 4: what they are getting scheme wise on defense, he knows
- 29:30Speaker 4: exactly how it's going to be implemented. He knows what
- 29:32Speaker 4: the challenges are playing against that defense. So whether it's
- 29:37Speaker 4: Mush Champ, Pete Golding, Kirby Smart, whoever it is, you
- 29:41Speaker 4: know that you want to look at and say, Okay,
- 29:45Speaker 4: you know, we know the sab And tree, we know
- 29:46Speaker 4: what the scheme is. It's tried and true. You add
- 29:49Speaker 4: great players to it, they're going to be a formidable group.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Tom Loganville, national college football analyst with the ESPN on
- 29:56Speaker 3: the add of bound Ship, I want to go to
- 29:59Speaker 3: old miss Ki then has established himself. Is it fair
- 30:02Speaker 3: to say Kiffin's established himself the last six years as
- 30:05Speaker 3: a top ten play caller.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Oh absolutely, I agree. I would actually go back to
- 30:11Speaker 4: even he is a younger coach, gnashing his teeth and
- 30:16Speaker 4: being able to develop as a play caller and a
- 30:20Speaker 4: you know, an overseer of the offense, going back to
- 30:23Speaker 4: him working under Norm chowd sc in some of those
- 30:26Speaker 4: SC offenses and then obviously it became his turn and
- 30:30Speaker 4: eventually it became Sark's turn. But yeah, I think where
- 30:34Speaker 4: he's done a really good job is he's evolved with
- 30:37Speaker 4: the game right. He's added wrinkles, he's eliminated things, he's tweaked,
- 30:42Speaker 4: he's became you know, they weren't a tempo team at USC,
- 30:46Speaker 4: they weren't let's go as fast as we can team
- 30:48Speaker 4: at USC. He's found some positives in that, so he's
- 30:51Speaker 4: implemented it. I think the evolution of him not just
- 30:55Speaker 4: as a play caller, but to enhance the play call
- 30:58Speaker 4: by enhancing the approach. And he's done.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Okay, Now, Trinidad Chambliss and Keewan Lacy have a new
- 31:09Speaker 3: play caller who has two years of offensive coordinator experience
- 31:13Speaker 3: under his belt in East Carolina and John David Baker
- 31:17Speaker 3: and John David Baker said, yeah, it's gonna be a
- 31:20Speaker 3: lot of the same, but some different and different terminology.
- 31:23Speaker 3: So you started at quarterback at Georgia Tech. What I know,
- 31:27Speaker 3: Trinidad and Lacy are going to know the offense and
- 31:29Speaker 3: so on, But what does that entail walk us through?
- 31:34Speaker 3: There will be some tweaks and different terminology for this
- 31:38Speaker 3: ole miss offense.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:40Speaker 4: I think what you got to do is if you
- 31:41Speaker 4: sat there and you put it on paper, right, and
- 31:43Speaker 4: you drew out the concepts and this and that, all right,
- 31:46Speaker 4: it just may mean that instead of calling it a slants,
- 31:50Speaker 4: we call a glance, all right. Instead of a slant,
- 31:52Speaker 4: we called a glance, all right. And instead of a dig,
- 31:56Speaker 4: we call it over you know, whatever it may be.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Instead of a comeback, we called a cob. But you're
- 32:02Speaker 4: just talking about interchangeable words. But if you visualize it
- 32:05Speaker 4: and looked at it, and let's just say you took
- 32:08Speaker 4: a play because John David Baker's offenses essentially, I mean,
- 32:11Speaker 4: it's rooted in old Missus principles. He's coached there before.
- 32:15Speaker 4: And you drew it and you said, okay, what does
- 32:18Speaker 4: this play to you? To a player that played at
- 32:21Speaker 4: ole miss a year ago and they look at it.
- 32:23Speaker 4: They know exactly what it is. Well, so the play
- 32:25Speaker 4: is not changing, just what you're calling it maybe shifting
- 32:28Speaker 4: a little bit. Now, that's where your off season comes in, right,
- 32:32Speaker 4: That's where you work in January, February, March, and you
- 32:36Speaker 4: head into spring football. And if you can't come out
- 32:39Speaker 4: of spring football adjusting to terminology, you're not a very
- 32:43Speaker 4: smart football player. And dumb players lose games. So there's
- 32:47Speaker 4: going to be very there's going to be very little
- 32:49Speaker 4: tolerance to not be able to know what the foundation
- 32:53Speaker 4: of the offense is when you see it, but not
- 32:55Speaker 4: be able to adjust because you change a couple of
- 32:57Speaker 4: things here and there, you tag something, or you called
- 33:00Speaker 4: protection something instead of a protection being a name, that's
- 33:02Speaker 4: now a number. Okay, well we got to be able
- 33:04Speaker 4: to adjust to that. The good part about all of
- 33:06Speaker 4: this is by eliminating the second transfer portal period from
- 33:11Speaker 4: the time that player has arrived, either through high school
- 33:13Speaker 4: recruiting in December or the transfer portal. You know in
- 33:17Speaker 4: January one, spring football ended. They're not going anywhere. They're there,
- 33:22Speaker 4: so you're not having it. Let's just say take a
- 33:24Speaker 4: second group of transfer portal guys that previously would have
- 33:28Speaker 4: come in after spring football and now integrate them heading
- 33:32Speaker 4: into fall camp. That's already been done. So by the
- 33:35Speaker 4: time anybody, whether it's terminology, even if you even if
- 33:38Speaker 4: you flip the scheme, even if you brought in an
- 33:40Speaker 4: offer at the coordinator that was gonna, you know, run
- 33:43Speaker 4: a different style of offense, there's there's gonna be very
- 33:47Speaker 4: little tolerance and very little excuses for, especially at the
- 33:50Speaker 4: quarterback position, but everybody else as well, to not be
- 33:53Speaker 4: dialed in on what you're gonna do.
- 33:56Speaker 3: It looks like John David Paker throws the ball a
- 34:00Speaker 3: good bit more than Kiffin. Kiffin's been somehow we painted
- 34:04Speaker 3: him Kiffin is a pass happy offense because we see
- 34:06Speaker 3: all the explosive plays, guys running wide open. But as
- 34:09Speaker 3: you know, Lane loves to run the football, not that
- 34:13Speaker 3: John David Baker won't, but he he skews on the
- 34:16Speaker 3: kind of the big twelve, twenty ten, twenty eleven throw
- 34:20Speaker 3: it more.
- 34:21Speaker 5: From what I gather, Yeah, you know, I.
- 34:23Speaker 4: Actually I had East Carolina three times last year, so
- 34:26Speaker 4: it became very familiar with them on Thursday Night football,
- 34:29Speaker 4: and so I think they want to run it more.
- 34:33Speaker 4: But here's the thing that's, you know, interesting, we forget
- 34:35Speaker 4: about this. Either folks don't know it or they don't
- 34:38Speaker 4: realize it's happening, because it's not. It's tough to see
- 34:40Speaker 4: if you don't know what you're watching, But oftentimes things
- 34:43Speaker 4: that materialize in the passing game were called runs in
- 34:47Speaker 4: the huddle, right, And so what's happening is is it's
- 34:52Speaker 4: really simple math. And that is when you get into
- 34:56Speaker 4: that line of scrimmage play and you've either got two
- 35:00Speaker 4: plays called in one, you're gonna have a check out
- 35:02Speaker 4: of it based off of what the look is. The
- 35:04Speaker 4: quarterbacks count numbers, right, and so we may say, hey,
- 35:08Speaker 4: we want to run it here, we want to establish
- 35:09Speaker 4: this here, but oh boy, they've got seven in the
- 35:13Speaker 4: box and we've only got five or six to block them. Well,
- 35:15Speaker 4: that's not smart football, right, So we got to get
- 35:17Speaker 4: out of that. And if you're going to load the box,
- 35:20Speaker 4: we want to have one on one opportunities and you're
- 35:22Speaker 4: gonna throw the football. Conversely, the exact opposite happens as well.
- 35:25Speaker 4: You may come into a situation where you've got second
- 35:29Speaker 4: and eight and you've got a pass play called and
- 35:33Speaker 4: they're in too high and got five people in the box. Well,
- 35:36Speaker 4: you're gonna check to run, right, because now you have
- 35:39Speaker 4: the numbers advantage, and you're going to try to get
- 35:42Speaker 4: five six yards of that and get yourself in second
- 35:45Speaker 4: and short, which is the third and short, which is
- 35:46Speaker 4: what everybody wants to be in. So it's not necessarily
- 35:49Speaker 4: rocket science. It's numbers.
- 35:52Speaker 3: And you have a veteran quarterback who proved he was
- 35:55Speaker 3: arguably the best decision maker maker in the country.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Yeah, last year in Trinidad.
- 35:59Speaker 4: He can get you in and out of those things, right,
- 36:01Speaker 4: he knows he knows pre snap. Okay, this is what
- 36:04Speaker 4: we ultimately want to be in. We don't want to
- 36:06Speaker 4: run this versus this look. We'd ideally love them to
- 36:09Speaker 4: be in this look. If we're going to attack them
- 36:11Speaker 4: with this, Well, wait that they're not in that look either.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Let's go to something else and understand too, Like at
- 36:17Speaker 4: the speed and rate that they're going, how fast that
- 36:19Speaker 4: stuff has to happen? Right, And because it's not just
- 36:22Speaker 4: the pre snap recognition in the diagnosis once the ball snapped,
- 36:28Speaker 4: you've got to produce a positive result. And with offenses
- 36:30Speaker 4: like that, they're having to make those determinations anywhere between
- 36:33Speaker 4: eleven and fourteen seconds.
- 36:36Speaker 5: Let's go to.
- 36:38Speaker 3: Jeff Levy, who's on the hot seat and has to
- 36:43Speaker 3: win this year, and he has a true sophomore quarterback.
- 36:50Speaker 3: And I always reference Dak and Eli who back then
- 36:54Speaker 3: didn't start until the red shirt sophomore years here and
- 36:56Speaker 3: they're both phenomenal. Okay, they hung around forever that so
- 37:02Speaker 3: his job is right, you know, is on the line
- 37:05Speaker 3: with a true sophomore QB who's six foot four, two thirty.
- 37:09Speaker 3: You know he can run around, probably not a refined passer,
- 37:14Speaker 3: yet you played quarterback at the Power four level knowing
- 37:19Speaker 3: that you've got to win X amount of games. What
- 37:22Speaker 3: would be your I mean, what would be to your
- 37:26Speaker 3: approach this year with a true sophomore that played a
- 37:29Speaker 3: little bit last year, knowing that he's going to have
- 37:31Speaker 3: to carry you over the finish line, so to speak.
- 37:34Speaker 5: Lukes, Well, I.
- 37:35Speaker 4: Think that's where the off season coaching component comes into play.
- 37:40Speaker 4: As you mentioned, you've got a small sample size, there's
- 37:42Speaker 4: tape to be to be watched, and then you're you're
- 37:46Speaker 4: continuing to develop this player's theory of the game knowledge.
- 37:50Speaker 4: It's not necessarily how big he is how tall he is,
- 37:52Speaker 4: it's what can he handle, what can he process? What
- 37:54Speaker 4: can he do right? And you're going to test that out.
- 37:57Speaker 4: That's the spring football's for. You're going to put him
- 37:59Speaker 4: in situation to see what he does. You're going to
- 38:01Speaker 4: maybe try to trick him into a situation to see
- 38:03Speaker 4: if he recognizes it and gets out of it or
- 38:07Speaker 4: moves into something. You're going to want to really upgrade
- 38:10Speaker 4: that player's knowledge of past protections and how to protect
- 38:14Speaker 4: himself and get the team into the right call. So
- 38:18Speaker 4: I think so much of the development and an off
- 38:20Speaker 4: season between a freshman and sophomore year is really advancing
- 38:25Speaker 4: that player's knowledge of the game so that they can
- 38:28Speaker 4: think fast and they can play comfortable. Now does that
- 38:31Speaker 4: mean that you ask them to do something that maybe
- 38:34Speaker 4: they're not comfortable with or they don't have confidence in.
- 38:37Speaker 4: Absolutely not. But that's what you're trying to find out, right.
- 38:40Speaker 4: Because we can talk all we want about scheme and
- 38:43Speaker 4: systems and this and that. The great systems are the
- 38:45Speaker 4: systems that revolve around a player's strengths and then do
- 38:49Speaker 4: everything they can to mask weaknesses. So you're trying to
- 38:51Speaker 4: figure out what that is, right, You're trying to say, okay,
- 38:55Speaker 4: you know, with with somebody like I don't know anybody,
- 38:59Speaker 4: they would have at it at Oklahoma under Jeff Levy,
- 39:04Speaker 4: guys that had Dylan Yah. Yeah, Okay, let's take Dylan
- 39:08Speaker 4: Gabriel for example. Okay, they may do things in the
- 39:11Speaker 4: offense with Dylan Gabriel that they're not gonna do with
- 39:14Speaker 4: Kamaro Taylor, right, And maybe it's not because he's not
- 39:18Speaker 4: capable of doing it, but maybe it's because he's not
- 39:19Speaker 4: capable of doing it yet. Or you're going to implement
- 39:23Speaker 4: some things that Kamaro Taylor does really, really well that
- 39:26Speaker 4: you wouldn't have done with Dylan Gabriel, and whether that's
- 39:30Speaker 4: moving the pocket, changing the launch point, putting in him
- 39:32Speaker 4: in a position to always be able to run in
- 39:34Speaker 4: case things don't happen and he doesn't get through the progression,
- 39:38Speaker 4: but aboording a negative play and doing so. You got
- 39:41Speaker 4: to find those things out and then you build the
- 39:43Speaker 4: day offense around that, right, because you don't want to
- 39:46Speaker 4: stick a square peg in a round hole, you know,
- 39:47Speaker 4: like the old days it used to be, well, you know,
- 39:50Speaker 4: we're gonna put this guy into the West Coast offense
- 39:52Speaker 4: or this guy's going to be right in the in
- 39:55Speaker 4: the multiple pro style, and this is who we are
- 39:57Speaker 4: and this is what we're gonna do, and that player
- 39:59Speaker 4: has to adapt. Yes, those days are long gone.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Yes, all right, we'll wrap it up with this Tom
- 40:05Speaker 3: Lougan Bill on the show ESPN College Football Analysts. Biggest
- 40:11Speaker 3: story coming out of the ACC. Can Belichick get it
- 40:15Speaker 3: done at North Carolina? Can Dabbo reboot Clemson? Or does
- 40:21Speaker 3: Mario make another run? Or is it another You were
- 40:23Speaker 3: there all week last week. You've got some big names
- 40:26Speaker 3: in the conference. What is it for you?
- 40:29Speaker 4: Tom Lougan Bill, I don't think it's really I don't
- 40:32Speaker 4: think North Carolina's is a big of a storyline unless
- 40:34Speaker 4: they come out of nowhere and just completely have a
- 40:37Speaker 4: reversal of fortune. You know, last year, if you remember,
- 40:40Speaker 4: they were gifted a great schedule and went four and
- 40:43Speaker 4: eight with it. They have not been gifted that schedule
- 40:46Speaker 4: this time around. Their schedule is much more difficult. They
- 40:50Speaker 4: are going to have almost as many new faith as
- 40:53Speaker 4: as they had a year ago, yet they're going to
- 40:55Speaker 4: be less experienced. I love to hire Bobby Petrino, but
- 40:58Speaker 4: what can he get out of the quarterback and much
- 41:01Speaker 4: better can they be. They gotta be able to run
- 41:03Speaker 4: the football. I mean last year North Carolina, when they
- 41:06Speaker 4: ran for one hundred and forty five yards or more
- 41:08Speaker 4: per game, they were three and oh they only won
- 41:11Speaker 4: four games all right. Last year at Arkansas there were
- 41:14Speaker 4: only two games where Bobby Petrino's offense didn't rush for
- 41:17Speaker 4: one hundred and forty five yards or more. So they're
- 41:20Speaker 4: going to try to run the football North Carolina, and
- 41:22Speaker 4: they need to because you don't know what the quarterback
- 41:24Speaker 4: position is going to be just yet. Miami is to me,
- 41:29Speaker 4: they're the most talented team. They have the best blend
- 41:31Speaker 4: of high school developed recruits and transfer portal additions. For me,
- 41:35Speaker 4: I don't think it's about how good Miami's going to
- 41:37Speaker 4: be or how good they're capable of being. To me,
- 41:40Speaker 4: it's going to be all about did they spend their
- 41:42Speaker 4: offseason in their press clippics? Yeah, and you know the
- 41:46Speaker 4: pats on the backs and the atta boys. I mean
- 41:48Speaker 4: that stuff starts sinking in and all of a sudden,
- 41:51Speaker 4: you know, you get caught up in it and you
- 41:53Speaker 4: lose your focus and you're not you know, when you
- 41:55Speaker 4: bringing new guys that weren't a part of that run
- 41:56Speaker 4: last year. They didn't have anything to do with that.
- 41:59Speaker 4: Now you got to set that run on your own
- 42:01Speaker 4: with a new team and a new locker room and
- 42:03Speaker 4: new leadership. And I think that's something you know, to
- 42:05Speaker 4: keep an eye on. With Miami. I think Clemson is
- 42:08Speaker 4: gonna be very interesting to watch because, like I said,
- 42:10Speaker 4: you know when when was the last time we were
- 42:11Speaker 4: going into a preseason where all the talk was it Clemson?
- 42:16Speaker 4: You know, So it's gonna be interesting. The quarterback play
- 42:18Speaker 4: is actually pretty good in the ecc CJ. Bailey a
- 42:20Speaker 4: Nancy State is a stud. Kevin Jennings at SMU is
- 42:23Speaker 4: a stud. We obviously know Darien mensa big time player
- 42:28Speaker 4: getting that move to Miami. And you know, we'll see
- 42:31Speaker 4: how the whole thing plays out.
- 42:33Speaker 5: Lukes, we appreciate it. Have a good week, my man.
- 42:35Speaker 4: You bet we'll do same to you.
