- 1:15Speaker 1: and they a wir whist So, yeah, it's too bad,
- 1:18Speaker 1: but what did you expect.
- 1:19Speaker 2: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Wine, blow the whistle. We are back. Hey, Chris Bryants
- 1:29Speaker 1: Lamborghini was stolen during transport. It was stolen by hackers.
- 1:33Speaker 1: So Chris Blant, I'm a big Chris Bryant. Fancis played
- 1:36Speaker 1: for the Cups and played for the Cups when we
- 1:38Speaker 1: won a World series. And by we, I mean of
- 1:40Speaker 1: course I played with them.
- 1:41Speaker 3: You're part of the team.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yeah, So played stard base for the Rockies. And this
- 1:45Speaker 1: is from ABC seven Chicago. He recently fell victim to
- 1:48Speaker 1: car theft in an unusual although increasingly popular way. His
- 1:53Speaker 1: three hundred thousand dollars Lamborghini Hurricon that's the name of
- 1:57Speaker 1: a Hurrican was being transported by a company, but it
- 2:02Speaker 1: never arrived, so he reported the theft. They investigated. It
- 2:06Speaker 1: turns out hackers got into the system for the auto
- 2:08Speaker 1: transport service re routed the delivery. Jesus, that's baller. It
- 2:14Speaker 1: shouldn't be baller because we you know, it's like a
- 2:16Speaker 1: move to get stolen. But they re routed the delivery
- 2:18Speaker 1: to a different location in Vegas. And the story goes on,
- 2:23Speaker 1: some high end cars have been stolen by thieves. Again
- 2:25Speaker 1: they do it. There's no guns, they're no putting up
- 2:28Speaker 1: a gun to somebody's head them to break in a vehicle.
- 2:31Speaker 1: They just hack in, change where the person's supposed to
- 2:34Speaker 1: go on, like the GPS the delivery, and they do
- 2:36Speaker 1: and they get there, they're like, okay, cool, we'll take
- 2:37Speaker 1: a car now. They fake it and they're off.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Do you think they knew that it was Chris Bryan's
- 2:42Speaker 4: or just a random Lambeau that they knew they wanted.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Maybe neither. Maybe this service and I don't know the
- 2:51Speaker 1: answer to that. Maybe this service just transports high end cars,
- 2:55Speaker 1: and so they knew and they whatever high end car
- 2:58Speaker 1: they were transporting they were gonna.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Get it just happened to be Chris Brunn.
- 3:00Speaker 1: And that's bad luck because then it becomes public, then
- 3:03Speaker 1: it's news. After detective work, police were able to find
- 3:07Speaker 1: the car, which was being driven by an unnamed suspect.
- 3:11Speaker 3: He's like, that's me, that's me.
- 3:13Speaker 1: The person was charged with operating a multi state car
- 3:15Speaker 1: thefter ring. They haven't been named yet. But a couple
- 3:19Speaker 1: of things. One, that's that's a crazy way to do business,
- 3:22Speaker 1: like hack, hacking, thieve, and not like hacking computers and
- 3:26Speaker 1: stealing other computer information, like hacking a computer and making
- 3:29Speaker 1: a car go somewhere else, Like that's pretty cool. Shouldn't
- 3:32Speaker 1: think that's pretty cool. But I'm like, that's a pretty right,
- 3:34Speaker 1: it's pretty cool. But I don't like it because it's
- 3:37Speaker 1: not that's that's his money paid for that car. He
- 3:39Speaker 1: deserves it. Maybe it's movie cool.
- 3:41Speaker 3: It's like Oceans of Level.
- 3:43Speaker 5: It's moving.
- 3:43Speaker 1: It's not real life cool. Thank you. I've changed my
- 3:45Speaker 1: stance on this. It's movie cool only you know what.
- 3:48Speaker 4: I've always thought, like putting in something in the GPS
- 3:51Speaker 4: and then it getting hacked and them saying like, oh,
- 3:53Speaker 4: this is how you get there, and it takes you
- 3:55Speaker 4: down some road that the.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Hackers made and then they kidnap you.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I mean that's exactly what this is.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I dude, I've always thought that you have for years.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Why would they do that to you?
- 4:06Speaker 3: I don't I don't know.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Maybe what are you offering?
- 4:08Speaker 6: No?
- 4:09Speaker 4: Nothing, okay, But it's a game of numbers, right, like
- 4:11Speaker 4: maybe this guy has money. I don't know, but we're
- 4:13Speaker 4: gonna program as GPS to go down this road. We're
- 4:16Speaker 4: gonna block them in.
- 4:17Speaker 1: It seems like a lot of work for what here's
- 4:18Speaker 1: your jeep.
- 4:19Speaker 3: It's twenty fourteen.
- 4:21Speaker 1: It seems like a lot of work for twenty fourteen jeep.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, how much money's I got? Really
- 4:25Speaker 1: got on him at the twenty four and I like
- 4:27Speaker 1: your jeep.
- 4:27Speaker 3: It's awesome, Thank you.
- 4:28Speaker 1: But it's like you're gonna go through all the hacking,
- 4:30Speaker 1: You're probably not gonna go up to that twenty fourteen Geph.
- 4:33Speaker 7: There were two cars that got stolen in my neighborhood
- 4:35Speaker 7: two weeks ago because they had the fob, like they
- 4:37Speaker 7: hacked it with a.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Fob, so you can order specially programmed fobs that are
- 4:46Speaker 1: somewhat universal to certain cars.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Yeah, it was both infinities.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And they can go on a wha.
- 4:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I know I don't have an infinity.
- 4:54Speaker 4: I did to think, like, how all the cars in
- 4:56Speaker 4: the world and not your your car fob doesn't open
- 4:59Speaker 4: any other one. That's pretty crazy too.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty good. But it's like your key doesn't
- 5:03Speaker 1: open any other door. I mean, I'm sure there are
- 5:04Speaker 1: slight little yeah things, but then there's got to be
- 5:08Speaker 1: like a skeleton key, like the janitor key, right, which
- 5:11Speaker 1: is basically what these fobs are. Yeah, it's like the
- 5:14Speaker 1: universal Janey almost like Yeah, there was another money story
- 5:19Speaker 1: before we get into football. I never was bitcoin guy.
- 5:25Speaker 1: It was never like bitcoin bro, and so I only
- 5:28Speaker 1: ever like bought some a little bit here, a little
- 5:31Speaker 1: bit there, like fifty bucks, seventy five bucks. Never truly
- 5:33Speaker 1: believed in it. Only did it because I thought it
- 5:35Speaker 1: was like fun to watch, and I bought some. Me
- 5:42Speaker 1: find my numbers here. I bought some a few years ago.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And I've told the story where I bought some and
- 5:47Speaker 1: then I just forgot I had it because I just
- 5:49Speaker 1: didn't care enough about it to like maintain or manage
- 5:53Speaker 1: it were to sell. So why, oh, why I have enough?
- 5:56Speaker 4: Yeah, when you bought the did you have enough to
- 6:00Speaker 4: buy one bitcoin?
- 6:01Speaker 1: No?
- 6:02Speaker 3: Is it ever that low?
- 6:02Speaker 1: No? No, no, because you're talking about at the lowest
- 6:06Speaker 1: in the past five or six seven years, maybe forty
- 6:08Speaker 1: thousand dollars.
- 6:10Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I'm guessing that at the highest today one bitcoin is
- 6:16Speaker 1: like seven ninety seven thousand dollars. Yeah, ninety seven thousand,
- 6:20Speaker 1: nine hundred and seventy three dollars. So I didn't have
- 6:25Speaker 1: let me see at all time on bitcoin because now
- 6:28Speaker 1: on this app you can see all time.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Oh my god, you got a lot of bitcoin.
- 6:35Speaker 1: It's not that I have a lot of bitcoin, but
- 6:41Speaker 1: I have made because it got to a new high. Drumo, please,
- 6:50Speaker 1: I have made and I'll show you this. My my'
- 6:52Speaker 1: is thirty two thousand dollars.
- 6:54Speaker 3: WHOA And did you say how much you put in?
- 6:57Speaker 1: I don't know, but it wasn't that much. It wasn't
- 6:59Speaker 1: near to that didn't dude. I'm telling you, I don't
- 7:01Speaker 1: think it was. I don't think it's five thousand dollars.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Gosh, that's amazing.
- 7:05Speaker 1: And it wasn't all at once either. It was like
- 7:06Speaker 1: trickle trickle, trickle trick, just being funny, like let's see
- 7:09Speaker 1: what happens. I bot doge coin sold that crap I
- 7:10Speaker 1: got do Yeah, like he went on SNL was like,
- 7:13Speaker 1: it's gonna go out, but I'm just doing on the app. Wow,
- 7:17Speaker 1: And it continues to go up.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Do you understand how any of that works?
- 7:21Speaker 1: Like anything else, the more people want it, the more
- 7:23Speaker 1: they buy it, the higher it goes. It. Yeah, it's
- 7:26Speaker 1: like stocks. But do I know have a lot time
- 7:28Speaker 1: of studying and no, none did. I basically have an
- 7:30Speaker 1: app and I got sick one day and I was like,
- 7:32Speaker 1: this is the story. I'm even getting this app. I
- 7:34Speaker 1: was sick at home and I was like, what I'm
- 7:36Speaker 1: when I have TikTok? Then this is five six years ago.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I was like, what am I going to do? So
- 7:39Speaker 1: I bought like some couple of shares of this, couple
- 7:41Speaker 1: shares of that.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I got a little.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Uh, I got some Steve Madden, you got some Peloton, Uh,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I got some you know what's crushed for me is
- 7:51Speaker 1: draft kings yeah my total Yeah. So and then I
- 7:56Speaker 1: was like I'll do a little bitcoin, but draft Kings
- 7:57Speaker 1: is the way later and dude, I'm telling you, I
- 7:59Speaker 1: forgot about it.
- 8:00Speaker 3: It's amazing.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I forgot all of it. And one day I logged
- 8:02Speaker 1: into this thing and I went, kay lo.
- 8:06Speaker 3: She was like, you got money.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I was like, at the time I made, I'd made
- 8:09Speaker 1: like twenty thousand dollars. I was like, we made twenty
- 8:11Speaker 1: thousand dollars. She goes off what I said bitcoin. She goes,
- 8:14Speaker 1: you bought bitcoin, and I was like, now, since I've
- 8:16Speaker 1: known you, so that's amazing. I bring that up because
- 8:20Speaker 1: I'm not bitcoin bro. However, there's a story about a guy.
- 8:24Speaker 1: His name is James Hows. He's trying to find his
- 8:28Speaker 1: He threw away a hard drive that contained six hundred
- 8:30Speaker 1: million dollars in bitcoin. Oh he believes it's somewhere hiding
- 8:33Speaker 1: in a landfill, and he says it has about eight
- 8:38Speaker 1: thousand actual coins and if each coin ninety thousand.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Dollars, a lot of money.
- 8:44Speaker 1: When he threw the hard drive away, he said it
- 8:47Speaker 1: was worth about five million dollars. He throw it by accident,
- 8:49Speaker 1: and now because of how much it's gone up, it
- 8:52Speaker 1: towards six hundred million dollars. That was a decade ago.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Today again, he says six. Some people say seven hundred million.
- 8:58Speaker 1: He kind of knows the landfill, but not really.
- 9:00Speaker 3: He's been looking for this for ten years.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Yes, but he's not out there every day scouring.
- 9:06Speaker 4: I would be that'd be my job every day. I'd
- 9:08Speaker 4: go broke looking for that.
- 9:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I put it on a hard drive, though where else
- 9:12Speaker 1: are you gonna put it?
- 9:13Speaker 6: Though?
- 9:13Speaker 1: Put in the cloud? Baby, I don't think ten years
- 9:16Speaker 1: ago the cloud was. I guess it's true reliable, Yeah,
- 9:18Speaker 1: it was just reliable. Yeah, but you know what is reliable?
- 9:22Speaker 1: A hard drive that you own and hold. You just
- 9:24Speaker 1: don't throw on the dumpster.
- 9:25Speaker 4: But I have a hard drive that like I try
- 9:27Speaker 4: to plug in THEO the day and it's like it's
- 9:28Speaker 4: not working. I've taken it to ten engineers and they're like,
- 9:30Speaker 4: it's just dead man.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Okay, I'm like.
- 9:33Speaker 4: I'll be crazy if that one had my bitcoin that
- 9:36Speaker 4: was six hundred million dollars and like it's dead.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I bet you your hard drive is like nineteen bucks
- 9:40Speaker 1: though at Target. Yeah, I'm sure there's just like not
- 9:43Speaker 1: a lot of spade. Yeah, that was I'm sure. It's
- 9:48Speaker 1: kind of one of those things you know, coming up,
- 9:50Speaker 1: we'll talk to Tulane head football coach, which I'm pretty
- 9:52Speaker 1: excited about because they're killing it this year. It's is
- 9:56Speaker 1: this the second year there?
- 9:57Speaker 6: First?
- 9:59Speaker 3: Really?
- 9:59Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 10:00Speaker 5: He was hard December of twenty three.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I guess that's why I thought it was a second
- 10:03Speaker 1: because that the I saw twenty twenty three.
- 10:07Speaker 3: But they were even kind of good last year.
- 10:08Speaker 1: One thing, it says easy in his first year after
- 10:11Speaker 1: going twenty three and four and two seasons at Troy,
- 10:13Speaker 1: they're nine to two. They've won eight in a row.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I bet they want to punch themselves without Oklahoma loss. No,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I was at that one.
- 10:20Speaker 5: At that game. Was it in Oklahoma?
- 10:23Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 10:23Speaker 1: I think I was at the game. Was it?
- 10:24Speaker 5: I think we two week three? Right, Toby Keith?
- 10:26Speaker 1: I think it did the Toby Keith. Oh yeah, they
- 10:29Speaker 1: almost came back and won that game. Yeah, I was there.
- 10:31Speaker 1: They had awesome uniforms too.
- 10:33Speaker 5: The green.
- 10:34Speaker 1: The green colors aren't great for me, but yeah, they
- 10:36Speaker 1: were kind of like light tillis greenish or something.
- 10:38Speaker 5: You're wearing green today?
- 10:39Speaker 3: Why bus? Because you don't see green?
- 10:40Speaker 1: No, I see green. It just white looks different than
- 10:42Speaker 1: you guys, And a lot of them are similar. All
- 10:44Speaker 1: those colors look very dark to me, A beautiful color,
- 10:47Speaker 1: do I feel I've heard No. I can see green's
- 10:50Speaker 1: they just beautiful. It's all the darker the greens get this,
- 10:54Speaker 1: they look the same, exactly the same. And if they
- 10:56Speaker 1: get really dark, they look black. Everything looks black about
- 11:00Speaker 1: a seven on the spectrum of dark colors. Everything looks
- 11:02Speaker 1: black to me. Dark red, dark green, dark blue, dark
- 11:04Speaker 1: all that just it's just black. It's not because I
- 11:07Speaker 1: don't know the difference. What's tough When people go that's tough,
- 11:10Speaker 1: that's when it sucks with people feel sorry for me.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I don't know the difference.
- 11:13Speaker 3: I just don't know what to say.
- 11:14Speaker 1: There's nothing to say. It's like my right eye. My
- 11:17Speaker 1: right eye doesn't work. It's an eight percent vision.
- 11:19Speaker 3: You know.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I've tested you on that or a long time ago
- 11:22Speaker 4: and not recently. I would flip you off on the
- 11:24Speaker 4: right side of CVS.
- 11:24Speaker 3: But I have I have perriffer roll now you wouldn't
- 11:27Speaker 3: see me.
- 11:28Speaker 1: No, not true. I can see light and like slight
- 11:30Speaker 1: shape movement, So I have periffer on the ride. But
- 11:33Speaker 1: one of my favorite moments, my wife's dad's an eye doctor,
- 11:38Speaker 1: and I would tell my wife my righte eye doesn't work,
- 11:42Speaker 1: and Caitlyn thinks I exaggerate everything for effect. You know,
- 11:45Speaker 1: I've been doing this job for a long time and
- 11:46Speaker 1: there are times where if something to eight, I need
- 11:48Speaker 1: to put it at a ten because it's just that
- 11:50Speaker 1: much more entertaining. And I was like, I have eight
- 11:53Speaker 1: percent vision of right eye. And so we go and
- 11:56Speaker 1: I have to get an eye exam. We're in Oklahoma,
- 11:57Speaker 1: and we go to her dad's office to get an
- 11:59Speaker 1: eye exam and he puts me on and I forget
- 12:03Speaker 1: about it. I'm just getting an eye exam because I
- 12:05Speaker 1: need to want any a new prescription because my head
- 12:07Speaker 1: was starting hurt a little bit. My glasses. And first
- 12:10Speaker 1: he does the color blind test and he's like, oh, yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 1: that sucks. And I also, but yeah, also, I don't
- 12:17Speaker 1: know how doctors can know how good you can see.
- 12:19Speaker 1: That's weird to me that they you can like, look something,
- 12:21Speaker 1: they can go, oh, we can tell how you see
- 12:23Speaker 1: by So I do the thing left right, which one's
- 12:28Speaker 1: more up down? Yep, see that one, you know. The
- 12:30Speaker 1: you do that and he's like, you're right eye almost
- 12:34Speaker 1: doesn't work. And I remember thinking to myself, my wife's
- 12:36Speaker 1: in the room too, Hellelujah a little again. It was
- 12:46Speaker 1: really one of my crowning moments in our relationship, and
- 12:49Speaker 1: so I bring it up all the time. I'm like,
- 12:51Speaker 1: when when your dad told my eye didn't work, that's
- 12:54Speaker 1: pretty good huh. And she's like, we get it. But
- 12:57Speaker 1: also my point was I've never had it right out
- 12:58Speaker 1: that works, so I don't know the difference. Yeah, so
- 13:00Speaker 1: it's just my left eye is good. But imagine how
- 13:03Speaker 1: good out have been to sports and my right I
- 13:04Speaker 1: would have worked because I'm left handed. Think about me
- 13:06Speaker 1: playing baseball and has a pretty good baseball player. I've
- 13:09Speaker 1: at this way. You know, my lead I is my
- 13:11Speaker 1: right eye. Oh yeah, so I'm having to do what's
- 13:14Speaker 1: that movie where their head turns all the way around right, Yeah,
- 13:17Speaker 1: I'm having to go full lets football.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Ye to see where they left eyes.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah. I was thinking we should mark off
- 13:23Speaker 1: some teams to never really have to talk about again
- 13:26Speaker 1: NFL wise, mostly because at this point, after eleven weeks,
- 13:32Speaker 1: because we're going to week twelve, I believe, yeah, week
- 13:34Speaker 1: twelve unless something dramatic happens per player, we don't really
- 13:38Speaker 1: talk about the teams because they're done, they're out. They're
- 13:41Speaker 1: not gonna make the playoffs. We'll probably still talk about.
- 13:43Speaker 3: The Cowboys because because they're America's team.
- 13:46Speaker 1: And there's drama, if there's drama within a team. We
- 13:48Speaker 1: talked about it, but it's like, do we care if
- 13:50Speaker 1: Jacksonville wins? No, no care. So we're gonna go AFC East.
- 13:54Speaker 1: The only team with the winning records the Bills at
- 13:55Speaker 1: nine and two. Obviously they're still in the mix or
- 14:00Speaker 1: the sake of the games case, I'm sorry, we're gonna
- 14:02Speaker 1: have to kill the Jets. The Jets will be brought up, though.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Whenever it's Aaron Rodgers, there will be drama, yes, or a.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Coach a lot of drama.
- 14:09Speaker 1: This past week, it looks what he Johnson wanted to
- 14:10Speaker 1: mention him, or, at least in week five, suggested the idea.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I know, so the Jets are off the list, the
- 14:16Speaker 1: Patriots off the list. That's your favorite team though, so
- 14:19Speaker 1: it could be brought up in that.
- 14:20Speaker 6: I got hope.
- 14:21Speaker 5: Okay, all right, yeah, you got Drake.
- 14:22Speaker 1: It's all right, you got hope. Now the Dolphins are
- 14:25Speaker 1: four and six and they're winning a bit. Now that
- 14:26Speaker 1: two is back.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you talk about that.
- 14:28Speaker 1: They're not five hundred. But I said, we'll leave them.
- 14:29Speaker 1: We play the Jets twice, we leave them to live,
- 14:32Speaker 1: is what I say. Everybody good on leaving the Dolphins
- 14:34Speaker 1: to live.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Yes, they're still alive.
- 14:36Speaker 1: The only two teams we care about in the AFC
- 14:37Speaker 1: East of the Bills and the Dolphins AFC North. So
- 14:43Speaker 1: the Browns are two and eight. They're terrible. There's no
- 14:46Speaker 1: reason to ever even mention the.
- 14:47Speaker 5: Browns, especially with Watson out unless.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Somebody, No, there's not even gonna be drama because Fansky
- 14:56Speaker 1: is a good coach. I mean, Jamis has done his
- 14:59Speaker 1: thing and now it's not anything anymore.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Yeah, And we got to kill the Browns right, Yep,
- 15:03Speaker 1: they're done.
- 15:03Speaker 4: So do we even take them out of the recap,
- 15:06Speaker 4: the Sunday recap? Yeah, all if they're involved in the game.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Well, the problem is if it's a team, they'll like
- 15:12Speaker 1: the Bills that beat the Browns if they get brought
- 15:15Speaker 1: up because they're alongside, they're the date, the date of
- 15:18Speaker 1: the Bills.
- 15:19Speaker 6: Got it.
- 15:20Speaker 1: We have the Bengals of four and seven. You have
- 15:22Speaker 1: to until they lose another one. Yeah, those last two losses,
- 15:26Speaker 1: I felt so bad like Joe Burrow was Superman. So
- 15:29Speaker 1: we're leaving the Bengals in. Obviously, we're leaving the Ravens in.
- 15:32Speaker 1: And as I said last week, I am an idiot
- 15:36Speaker 1: to disregard the Steelers.
- 15:39Speaker 3: You're not alone, though, we're all idiots.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Oh, every decision I made about this conference was, well,
- 15:43Speaker 1: the Steelers, there's no way they're going to keep winning.
- 15:45Speaker 1: So yep, they're eight and freaking two. So so far, Jets, Patriots,
- 15:49Speaker 1: and Browns have been eliminated from us even thinking about
- 15:52Speaker 1: their existence. AFC South Texans seven and four, good Colts
- 15:57Speaker 1: five and six. They are playing an Anthony rich Is back.
- 16:01Speaker 1: You can't really kill a team that's about five hundred
- 16:02Speaker 1: because I think if you win ten games you're probably in.
- 16:07Speaker 1: There's a shot that nine get you in. So that
- 16:11Speaker 1: would be nine and eight. Yes, So we're gonna leave
- 16:14Speaker 1: the Colts in. And we're killing the Titans unless we're
- 16:16Speaker 1: talking about a draft pick. Yes, and we're killing the Jags.
- 16:20Speaker 1: There are times of two and eight Jags two and nine, Okay.
- 16:24Speaker 1: AFC West Chiefs obviously Chargers. That was another one of
- 16:29Speaker 1: my I'm a freaking idiot because I never really thought
- 16:33Speaker 1: the Chargers would be more than around a five hundred
- 16:35Speaker 1: team just because they didn't have the weapons. Apparently you
- 16:39Speaker 1: don't need many weapons and when it's a street fight
- 16:41Speaker 1: where you're throwing elbows the whole time. Because those games
- 16:44Speaker 1: have turned into and they're winning them. Chargers in Broncos
- 16:48Speaker 1: six and five, they got the future Rookie of the Year,
- 16:50Speaker 1: they're in Raiders Dead, NFC East, Eagles in leading division,
- 16:58Speaker 1: Commanders in obviously the and have a friend wo' is
- 17:03Speaker 1: a Giants fan. They're out there, they're so out.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Tommy Cutlets is coming in this week. Yeah, but you
- 17:09Speaker 3: know what though, the Cowboys and the Giants. That's the
- 17:11Speaker 3: Thanksgiving game, so we might have to talk about that.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Cooper Rush, Tommy Devine.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Unless something dramatic happens, we will not address that game. Yeah,
- 17:18Speaker 1: there will be other games that day point we want
- 17:21Speaker 1: to smell it. Yeah, we'll do a show. And there
- 17:23Speaker 1: wasn't there was only one game.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Yeah, Detroit who they played.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 17:28Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Detroit always plays the Cowboys the Chicago Maybe Cowboys are
- 17:32Speaker 1: three and seven.
- 17:37Speaker 4: I mean, as far as the rule goes, we shouldn't
- 17:40Speaker 4: talk about them, but we're gonna have to talk.
- 17:41Speaker 1: About I believe the Cowboys to float just so we
- 17:43Speaker 1: can pop up. We want to play with our food.
- 17:47Speaker 1: We're about to eat the mouse. We're gonna thump it
- 17:48Speaker 1: a little bit. First. NFC North, I think all these
- 17:53Speaker 1: teams stay in, even though the Bears are the worst
- 17:56Speaker 1: at four and six.
- 17:56Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's still Caleb.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Yeah, the Bears, if they lose a couple more, I
- 18:00Speaker 1: think they're kind of out of it.
- 18:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Are they gonna fire Bears, Packers, Vikings, Lions.
- 18:06Speaker 5: We'll keep off four of those in what a division?
- 18:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's awesome. Good for them, be happy for them,
- 18:13Speaker 3: Good for them.
- 18:13Speaker 5: Family, the division, or the teams.
- 18:15Speaker 6: Or.
- 18:17Speaker 3: The general.
- 18:19Speaker 1: NFC Panthers. We got to kill. Saints, we got to
- 18:25Speaker 1: kill I think we leave the Bucks in just because
- 18:30Speaker 1: I think they can still win the divisions coming and
- 18:33Speaker 1: the Falcons are obviously the Falcons are six and five.
- 18:35Speaker 1: This division has turned into what this division was before,
- 18:37Speaker 1: which we didn't think it was going to be this
- 18:39Speaker 1: year because we were like, wow, Falcon is gonna be
- 18:40Speaker 1: real good. Saints the best team ever look at them,
- 18:43Speaker 1: and then it's just what's old as new as old
- 18:47Speaker 1: as again, and then the n f C West, This
- 18:51Speaker 1: is an odd division. Yeah, because I don't think any
- 18:55Speaker 1: of these teams suck right now.
- 18:58Speaker 3: They think the Cardinals did.
- 18:59Speaker 1: And the team that's leading the I think Suxfors and
- 19:00Speaker 1: everybody else, right Yeah, yeah, right, that's crazy. It's just crazy.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Uh forty nine ers, dude, they got to do something.
- 19:07Speaker 3: It's just not their year.
- 19:08Speaker 1: It's not Yeah, I don't know a Seahawks ran. We
- 19:11Speaker 1: have to leave all of those teams, yep, to live.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Who do you think wins that division? Kevin? Pick one?
- 19:16Speaker 1: Is it the Niners? Still in your mind?
- 19:17Speaker 5: I still got to go with the Niners. I don't
- 19:19Speaker 5: know why.
- 19:19Speaker 7: It's kind of like the Bengals. I'm just holding on,
- 19:21Speaker 7: holding on until they just fall.
- 19:22Speaker 5: At the cliff.
- 19:23Speaker 1: I guess me too. I feel like that's Niners.
- 19:24Speaker 3: I don't think the Rams. I think the Rams could
- 19:26Speaker 3: win well.
- 19:27Speaker 1: I I mean I think Staffords a dude. Like we
- 19:28Speaker 1: pick quarterbacks, he was our second quarterback to lead a
- 19:31Speaker 1: final drive.
- 19:32Speaker 6: Yep.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Yeah, they got a big game coming up.
- 19:34Speaker 1: So we've killed one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
- 19:36Speaker 1: We've killed nine teams. So hey, look, are are you know?
- 19:40Speaker 1: Service series a little smaller now?
- 19:41Speaker 4: We like that some of these Yeah, nobody has a
- 19:44Speaker 4: chance to kip, Like, nobody has a chance out of
- 19:46Speaker 4: those nine teams, right, we've.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Killed them because they did not have a chance. The
- 19:49Speaker 1: best three wins is the best of the dead nine teams,
- 19:54Speaker 1: and that's ones the Jets. Now the Saints are four
- 19:56Speaker 1: and seven. They saw. Yeah, so if they come back
- 20:01Speaker 1: to life and win the thing, that's the zombie just
- 20:03Speaker 1: one walking dead. Yeah, all right, if one of those
- 20:05Speaker 1: teams went that the zombies won. If that's the case,
- 20:08Speaker 1: let's talk about you're gonna do a parlay or no? Yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 1: do we want to do this, Mike, let's do it.
- 20:13Speaker 1: It'll be on the appis we have to do four
- 20:17Speaker 1: or I hate doing four? Okay, I feel good about mine.
- 20:21Speaker 1: You already you already have it? Yeah, go ahead.
- 20:23Speaker 4: I think we should go Georgia. They're playing U Mass.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I mean that numbers high. They're minus forty two, but
- 20:30Speaker 4: I think this is the one where they score thirty
- 20:33Speaker 4: in the first quarter.
- 20:34Speaker 1: You can do whatever you want. So you're going Georgia
- 20:36Speaker 1: minus forty two?
- 20:37Speaker 3: Yeah, over you Mass. Do they even have a football team?
- 20:40Speaker 1: Surprise? There's a line on that one. I know, Okay,
- 20:44Speaker 1: there's one, Kevin.
- 20:49Speaker 7: Yeah, they're rolling game of the week. They're rolling right now,
- 20:53Speaker 7: playing well, but so it's Kansas. But I'm going with
- 20:58Speaker 7: Colorado minus two and a half at Kansas.
- 21:01Speaker 1: That's tough one.
- 21:02Speaker 7: They're right Kansas, Kansas playing good, give me a good game.
- 21:05Speaker 7: But that line is not very big, so it makes
- 21:07Speaker 7: me feel better.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Read ladies and gentlemen, We're going with the Sam Houston
- 21:14Speaker 1: State plus six against Jacksonville State. Pay why it's happened?
- 21:18Speaker 3: I feel it.
- 21:19Speaker 1: What do you know about? What do you know about that?
- 21:20Speaker 1: I know a lot of things. I love you, That's
- 21:22Speaker 1: all my dream. People are gonna see this on dragtons
- 21:26Speaker 1: be like what the is this?
- 21:27Speaker 3: You know They're gonna be like, how do I watch this?
- 21:28Speaker 1: They're gonna it can be like that must be a shoe.
- 21:31Speaker 1: This must be a shoe in right here, baby.
- 21:33Speaker 3: I like it all right.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna go uh Bama minus thirteen and a half
- 21:39Speaker 1: at Oklahoma. I hate to pick ins Oklahoma, but I
- 21:43Speaker 1: think that's that's a good one. I liked seeing that
- 21:45Speaker 1: line as far as betting that money. I think bam
- 21:48Speaker 1: is my favorite to win the whole thing. Yeah, I'm
- 21:51Speaker 1: rooting for them. I think Ohio State has better talent Oregon.
- 21:54Speaker 1: You know Dane Annie text me. He texted it again. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 21:58Speaker 1: I paid the I paid the ten thousand dollars to
- 21:59Speaker 1: the charity. Yeah, the children's hospital. He texted me last
- 22:02Speaker 1: or a few weeks ago too, and then he text
- 22:04Speaker 1: me making yesterday. I was like, hey, man, it's not today,
- 22:06Speaker 1: and I was like, hey, goodluck, it's Washington. He's like, thanks, man,
- 22:08Speaker 1: that's so cool. But I won't save his name of
- 22:10Speaker 1: my phone. What do you mean I don't want to
- 22:12Speaker 1: have it?
- 22:13Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
- 22:15Speaker 1: Because I don't want to ever text it.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Oh, and the temptation would be there, but you know
- 22:18Speaker 3: the number, right, but.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I have to go search for it and I don't
- 22:22Speaker 1: want I have not saved him in my phone as
- 22:24Speaker 1: Dan Landing. It's just a number.
- 22:25Speaker 7: So there's a couple of numbers that I've gotten over
- 22:27Speaker 7: like too much access stuff or whatever, you know, just
- 22:29Speaker 7: for fun whatever.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Keep him if you feel like you're never gonna call him. Yeah,
- 22:32Speaker 1: Like I never asked you for stone colds.
- 22:33Speaker 6: I know you have it.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I know you have that one.
- 22:35Speaker 6: Save. Yeah.
- 22:36Speaker 7: I went back and save that one. Yeah, but I
- 22:39Speaker 7: always get worried, like one drunk night with friends like you.
- 22:41Speaker 7: Guys want to call Stonefold.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Yeah remember FaceTime Colin Cowhard's number. Yeah, I just wanted
- 22:50Speaker 1: in there. Yeah, I'm still supposed to play Call of

- 23:36Speaker 1: get to the talk now with tu Lane head football
- 23:38Speaker 1: coach John Sumrall. Coach summerrowls in his first year at
- 23:40Speaker 1: Tulane after going twenty three and four and two seasons
- 23:42Speaker 1: at Troy Tulane nine and two. This season, they won
- 23:45Speaker 1: eight in a row. Big thanks to coach for coming
- 23:47Speaker 1: on here.
- 23:47Speaker 6: He is, hey, coach, Hey, what's up guys? How are
- 23:50Speaker 6: y all? Hey?
- 23:50Speaker 1: Pretty good? I was at the oh we're going. Sometimes
- 23:53Speaker 1: we get in trouble because we just talk like normal
- 23:55Speaker 1: people and then people don't. Like Once we were Coach Bilima,
- 23:58Speaker 1: who I know pretty well Illinois. We talk like ten minutes.
- 24:00Speaker 1: He didn't know we were doing the interview, and he was
- 24:02Speaker 1: saying stuff he didn't want the interview, and he hit
- 24:04Speaker 1: me up. He's like, hey, will you pull that out?
- 24:05Speaker 1: So just so you know, coach, we're already rolling, so
- 24:10Speaker 1: we don't have luck.
- 24:10Speaker 6: Okay, I've been cussing like I in the coach locker
- 24:13Speaker 6: room for ten minutes and then hang on is that
- 24:16Speaker 6: is that recorded? Yeah?
- 24:18Speaker 1: Yeah, So I just want When I started talking, I
- 24:20Speaker 1: was like, I should let coach know we're going because
- 24:22Speaker 1: I don't know coach yet.
- 24:23Speaker 6: Coach, you're good man, You're good. I appreciate the heads
- 24:27Speaker 6: up on the hot MIC.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I went to the Oklahoma game. You guys played Oklahoma
- 24:32Speaker 1: this year, and a couple of things stood out to me.
- 24:35Speaker 6: One.
- 24:36Speaker 1: When I was watching the game, you had a very dynamic,
- 24:39Speaker 1: but very raw freshman quarterback, and it's it's been fun
- 24:43Speaker 1: to watch him not be so raw and as you
- 24:46Speaker 1: guys have started to win, talk about that for a
- 24:47Speaker 1: little bit, because I was there and I'm talking about
- 24:50Speaker 1: he looked awesome at times but very youthful at times
- 24:53Speaker 1: as well.
- 24:54Speaker 6: Then Yeah, Yeah, Dari Mensa from Chanlencebispo, California, really cool story.
- 25:01Speaker 6: He was on the roster when I got here. He
- 25:03Speaker 6: was a red shirt, true freshman, was red hiring the
- 25:07Speaker 6: year before I got here, and he went through a
- 25:10Speaker 6: quarterback competition at Ty Thompson who transferred here from Oregon.
- 25:14Speaker 6: Ky Hort was on the here on the previous staff
- 25:16Speaker 6: who played in some games, and then Darien was kind
- 25:18Speaker 6: of like the afterthought freshman kid and he won the job.
- 25:22Speaker 6: Kind of came out of nowhere. Eybody thought it was
- 25:23Speaker 6: a two horse race, and then he ended up winning
- 25:26Speaker 6: the job and really earned it. He wouldn't give anything.
- 25:30Speaker 6: He had to go out and take it because he
- 25:31Speaker 6: was the third guy in the competition to start, but
- 25:34Speaker 6: he earlier in the year. Man, he's a really poised kid,
- 25:39Speaker 6: really calm kid, almost so calm and relaxed, and I'm like,
- 25:42Speaker 6: are we good? You excited? Like, but he you know,
- 25:47Speaker 6: he played a really good game against Kansas State in
- 25:50Speaker 6: Week two. He had a critical turnover in that game,
- 25:54Speaker 6: and in I think learned from it. We go play
- 25:57Speaker 6: at Oklahoma and hell before you can blankets twenty one
- 26:00Speaker 6: to nothing, and we're like, what happened? And then probably
- 26:04Speaker 6: this is really the moment where our felt our team
- 26:06Speaker 6: kind of come together, was we're down twenty one nothing.
- 26:10Speaker 6: It's the second quarter. Everything that's gone wrong can go wrong,
- 26:13Speaker 6: and we score right for the half to make it
- 26:16Speaker 6: twenty one six. The extra point goes about as bad
- 26:19Speaker 6: as it could go. We kick extra point that like
- 26:21Speaker 6: almost hit somebody underneath the goalposts, and then you look
- 26:26Speaker 6: up in the fourth quarter, we're sitting there, it's twenty
- 26:28Speaker 6: four to nineteen, and we got the ball twice in
- 26:31Speaker 6: the fourth quarter of the chance to go score and
- 26:33Speaker 6: take the lead. And so that's when you start to
- 26:35Speaker 6: fill our team coming together. I think it's also we
- 26:36Speaker 6: start to feel dairy and kind of go against a
- 26:39Speaker 6: really top notch defense and feel like the speed of
- 26:41Speaker 6: the game and how to execute and operate against that,
- 26:46Speaker 6: and he's really getting better each and every week. The
- 26:49Speaker 6: growth he's made has been really fun to watch. It's
- 26:54Speaker 6: I mean, he's getting better exponentially, right in front of
- 26:57Speaker 6: our eyes. So proud of the growth he's made. He's
- 26:59Speaker 6: a talent, he's a great kid. He's worked crobbly hard,
- 27:03Speaker 6: and he's got a bright future for sure.
- 27:05Speaker 5: Man.
- 27:06Speaker 1: The last thing I'll say about the Oklahoma game, just
- 27:07Speaker 1: because I was there. I was sitting with Joe Ce,
- 27:10Speaker 1: the athletic director there and their butts got puckered. I'm
- 27:13Speaker 1: telling you, thirty four to nineteen is the final score,
- 27:15Speaker 1: but that game was much closer than that. Everybody was
- 27:19Speaker 1: freaking out. And my favorite thing though, was the uniform
- 27:21Speaker 1: that light It was a light blue. It's the light
- 27:23Speaker 1: blue with the green coach. Those are the most legit uniforms.
- 27:27Speaker 6: Yeah, our uniforms. I don't care what you said. There's
- 27:29Speaker 6: no other way to describe. Mother the man. They're freaking sexy.
- 27:31Speaker 6: Those uniforms look good, man. Got we got our helmets.
- 27:34Speaker 6: I got them back behind me here like we got
- 27:36Speaker 6: I think some of the coolest color combinations in college football.
- 27:41Speaker 6: But those powder blues, light blues, those things are sweet. Man.
- 27:45Speaker 1: What was it after the game because you've been on
- 27:47Speaker 1: a run since that game, and you say, that's also
- 27:50Speaker 1: when you realize that he was your guy at quarterback, Like,
- 27:55Speaker 1: was there a sense of hey, we kind of belong.
- 27:57Speaker 1: We just played a P four an SEC school and
- 28:00Speaker 1: pushed them as far as we could push them. I mean,
- 28:02Speaker 1: is that a confidence builder even though you lost that game?
- 28:04Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, well, and you go back to the
- 28:07Speaker 6: week before, like I said, against Kansas State. We were
- 28:09Speaker 6: up twenty to ten at Kansas State the week before
- 28:12Speaker 6: at halftime and really played a great first half, and
- 28:18Speaker 6: then we played an awful third quarter against Kansas State
- 28:21Speaker 6: and we lost that game thirty four to twenty seven.
- 28:23Speaker 6: We actually scored a touchdown, we got an OPI called
- 28:27Speaker 6: in the fourth quarter. It was less than a minute
- 28:29Speaker 6: left that to go tie the game. They called offensive
- 28:32Speaker 6: paster appearance. And so our team knew they could play
- 28:36Speaker 6: with anybody, like we felt confident in that. Really the
- 28:39Speaker 6: Oklahoma game I think showed them like, hey, we can
- 28:43Speaker 6: we can come back against him body. We can be
- 28:45Speaker 6: in any kind of situation to find a way to
- 28:46Speaker 6: be in the game. But then the next week we
- 28:49Speaker 6: go play at Lousey and Lafayette who in state program
- 28:53Speaker 6: at their place. It was hot. It was one hundred
- 28:55Speaker 6: and forty four heat index that day on the field,
- 28:58Speaker 6: and we get we're a dogfight, and we ended up
- 29:01Speaker 6: winning a game forty one to thirty three. At the time,
- 29:03Speaker 6: he realized how good they were. They're now eight and
- 29:05Speaker 6: two as well, and so that was a really a
- 29:09Speaker 6: win that I think created confidence. The biggest challenge. And
- 29:13Speaker 6: I told our team this Friday night we were up
- 29:16Speaker 6: in Baltimore getting ready to go over to Annapolis to
- 29:18Speaker 6: play Navy last week. I said, guys, I'm in all
- 29:21Speaker 6: of this team, and here's why. Out of the eighty
- 29:24Speaker 6: guys were on our road trip last week, forty six up.
- 29:26Speaker 6: We're on the team. Last year, thirty four weren't here,
- 29:30Speaker 6: and about twenty something of those thirty four got here
- 29:32Speaker 6: in May and so like. And then there's seven coaches
- 29:36Speaker 6: that were in last year's staff and there's twelve that
- 29:39Speaker 6: weren't that are new and so just to see how
- 29:42Speaker 6: this team's really come together and bonded has been fun.
- 29:45Speaker 6: But I think that last after that stretch of Kansas State,
- 29:48Speaker 6: Oklahoma losing and Lafayette was when we kind of got
- 29:52Speaker 6: battle tested, and we kind of I think the culture
- 29:55Speaker 6: and character of our locker room became more solidified and
- 29:58Speaker 6: forged together to where like we play for each other,
- 30:01Speaker 6: We like you. You can tell our kids care about
- 30:03Speaker 6: each other, love playing for each other. So I think
- 30:06Speaker 6: that sort of happened during that tough stretch we had.
- 30:09Speaker 1: We're about the same age. I wonder with you, your dad
- 30:12Speaker 1: was a coach. Do you start to see things in
- 30:14Speaker 1: you that your dad did and you don't do it
- 30:16Speaker 1: on purpose, but you're like, oh my god, my dad
- 30:17Speaker 1: did the same thing.
- 30:18Speaker 6: Yeah, there's plenty of things. Yeah, there's plenty of As
- 30:23Speaker 6: soon as you said that, I'm like, I'm like, I
- 30:25Speaker 6: look in the mirror and I do some stuff. I'm like,
- 30:27Speaker 6: I can't believe I'm doing my dad with dude, without question.
- 30:30Speaker 6: Yeah there's I hope I can age a little slower
- 30:33Speaker 6: than my dad, but yeah, there's a lot.
- 30:36Speaker 1: What about being a defensive guy whenever the offensive meetings
- 30:40Speaker 1: are happening or this, you know, a receivers meeting and
- 30:42Speaker 1: quarterback meeting, Like, how involved are you in the offensive
- 30:47Speaker 1: side of everything versus the defensive side of everything.
- 30:50Speaker 6: That's a great question. So my first year at Troy
- 30:52Speaker 6: in twenty two, I lived in the defensive staff room
- 30:56Speaker 6: more than I did the offensive staff room, because by sure,
- 31:00Speaker 6: that's what I've always been around. Last year at Troy
- 31:03Speaker 6: kind of the other way around, I probably spent more
- 31:05Speaker 6: time with the offensive staff and the defensive staff. And
- 31:09Speaker 6: this is probably I would to be totally honest with you,
- 31:12Speaker 6: this is the first year, third years being a head coach,
- 31:15Speaker 6: and so this is the first year I kind of
- 31:18Speaker 6: just bounce around. Like when I just came in, I
- 31:21Speaker 6: was had just left our offensive staff meeting room and
- 31:25Speaker 6: was in there with those guys for a few minutes,
- 31:27Speaker 6: just kind of listening. I've got a phenomenal staff on
- 31:31Speaker 6: all three phases, offense, defense, kicking game. I have no
- 31:35Speaker 6: problem walking in and suggesting what I think we need
- 31:38Speaker 6: to be doing in every area and uh, making sure
- 31:41Speaker 6: that the vision I want comes to life. But I've
- 31:44Speaker 6: got a great staff that they do their job really well,
- 31:46Speaker 6: and those guys work awesome together, and every now and
- 31:51Speaker 6: then I'm I'm, you know, trying to think I'm too
- 31:53Speaker 6: smart and go screw them up, but but uh, but
- 31:57Speaker 6: I'm definitely involved. Like I'm at the point now as
- 31:59Speaker 6: a headach where I feel way more comfortable to really
- 32:02Speaker 6: have a grasp of everything going on the building, to
- 32:05Speaker 6: the point that whether it's offense, defense, kicking game, whether
- 32:09Speaker 6: it's equipment, training room, all functions of our program academics.
- 32:14Speaker 6: Like you know, now, it's kind of riding a bike
- 32:17Speaker 6: and I just kind of know what's coming before it comes.
- 32:18Speaker 6: It's gotten a lot easier, but I spend quite a
- 32:20Speaker 6: bit of with with both sides of the ball. I'm
- 32:23Speaker 6: I sort of dive in with both and make sure
- 32:26Speaker 6: I know I'm not one of these CEO head coaches.
- 32:28Speaker 6: It's so far removed from the football. I'm like, hey'll
- 32:30Speaker 6: let me know how it goes, and I hope, hope
- 32:32Speaker 6: you win. Like I still like to note we're doing
- 32:35Speaker 6: in all three phases schematically.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Of all the places that you've coached. Why is hatty
- 32:39Speaker 1: Toddy the dumbest thing that's ever been said?
- 32:42Speaker 6: You're an Arkansas guy. I gotta remember, you know, old
- 32:47Speaker 6: best fans like to have a good time. It's a
- 32:50Speaker 6: different here. It's a different here. I like bourbon, So
- 32:54Speaker 6: when somebody says hotty Toddy, I think it's having a
- 32:56Speaker 6: bourbon drink. So I'm alright with it. But no, No,
- 32:59Speaker 6: the old best people there, they'll they'll come with any
- 33:02Speaker 6: reason to have a party or have a goofy saying
- 33:04Speaker 6: that chant they have is by far one of the
- 33:06Speaker 6: more unique ones for sure.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Uniqu's a good word for it.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Hey, coach, when I was.
- 33:11Speaker 6: I got, I got, I gotta play the middle there,
- 33:13Speaker 6: you know what I mean.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I'll tell you I got totally fill your ants.
- 33:15Speaker 6: I got you. Anybody off might have to Actually, there
- 33:19Speaker 6: are our schedule next year here.
- 33:21Speaker 1: No Baltimore material. Hey, I completely get it.
- 33:24Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I'm not gonna poke. I'm not gonna poke
- 33:26Speaker 6: the bear any of their chance. They got a lot
- 33:28Speaker 6: of good players. Yeah, I'd actually like if they'd send
- 33:32Speaker 6: me some n I O money Walker Jones, plenty of it.
- 33:35Speaker 6: Runs their collective, the Grove Collective. When I need to
- 33:38Speaker 6: call Walker and see if I can borrow a couple
- 33:39Speaker 6: of dollars for our collectives.
- 33:41Speaker 4: Coach, when I played ball in middle school, you know,
- 33:43Speaker 4: after a big win, coach would say, Hey, we're going
- 33:45Speaker 4: to pizza hut, it's on.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Me, let's go.
- 33:47Speaker 4: What do you do for your for your players after
- 33:50Speaker 4: a big win? Is there something specially you do for them?
- 33:53Speaker 6: Yeah? So we own Wednesdays here. It's not Pizza Hut,
- 33:55Speaker 6: but uh, New Orleans, New Orleans. I've got my own
- 34:00Speaker 6: personal things I do Saturday night after a win. But
- 34:02Speaker 6: our team, uh, we we sing our fight song, which
- 34:05Speaker 6: is you Brought Hotty Toddy. We have the Hullabaloo here,
- 34:08Speaker 6: which is kind of an equally unique song chant. We
- 34:12Speaker 6: do the other thing we do Wednesday. It's kind of different.
- 34:16Speaker 6: New Orleans. They do snowballs like shaved ice. What they
- 34:19Speaker 6: call it snowballs, and so we have the snowball truck
- 34:21Speaker 6: every Wednesday after a win. So snowballs on Wednesday. New
- 34:26Speaker 6: Orleans has some really cool cultural things, you know, red
- 34:28Speaker 6: beans and rice on Monday, snowballs on Wednesday we do
- 34:32Speaker 6: after a win. It's kind of something we do with
- 34:34Speaker 6: our team each week.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Do you have to talk to your teammates because when
- 34:36Speaker 1: we go we're in New Orleans, we go to the
- 34:38Speaker 1: boat or the casino, whatever you want to call it. Like,
- 34:40Speaker 1: I mean, that's gonna that's a real conversation, right with
- 34:42Speaker 1: it with the guys.
- 34:43Speaker 6: You know, what's interesting is as much you know, stuff
- 34:47Speaker 6: as there is to do in New Orleans where you
- 34:49Speaker 6: could find trouble, whether it be Bourbon Street, the casino
- 34:52Speaker 6: wherever our guys like it's it's almost I'm like blown
- 34:57Speaker 6: away with how little thing as they have like that.
- 35:01Speaker 6: I'm my guess y'all do anything like they they're really
- 35:04Speaker 6: low key. I'm probably I'm probably more of the threat
- 35:07Speaker 6: to show up at the casino or Berber streets than
- 35:09Speaker 6: they are. But they our guys are really low maintenance,
- 35:13Speaker 6: like low key. I'm sure they do some of that stuff,
- 35:16Speaker 6: but I never hear about it because there's never really
- 35:18Speaker 6: any run in so but yeah, you can definitely find
- 35:21Speaker 6: some fun here. You can find some trouble too if
- 35:24Speaker 6: you're not careful. But uh, our guys are really like
- 35:27Speaker 6: they the amount of issues that come up are so
- 35:31Speaker 6: few and far between, it blows my mind. It's actually
- 35:33Speaker 6: I've been in some small college towns where it's way
- 35:35Speaker 6: more issues they come up with players in town than here.
- 35:38Speaker 6: It's kind of like and maybe it's because everything's allowed
- 35:41Speaker 6: new or ones. Who knows.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Thanksgiving game that's always a weird one. Any any holiday
- 35:45Speaker 1: game is always a weird one. Kind of takes you
- 35:47Speaker 1: out of your schedule just in general. But like, do
- 35:50Speaker 1: you talk to the guys like, don't overeat because it's
- 35:52Speaker 1: Thanksgiving and you got it like that sounds like such
- 35:54Speaker 1: a yeah that would Yeah, that's weird.
- 35:58Speaker 6: Well, well we'll do we'll we'll do a team Thanksgiving
- 36:00Speaker 6: event next Tuesday. We do kind of a fun deal
- 36:04Speaker 6: we do. Darn you know. Our guys don't have class
- 36:07Speaker 6: start after tomorrow because Thanksgiving break at the university. And
- 36:10Speaker 6: so yesterday we went into Children's Hospital with some of
- 36:14Speaker 6: the guys. Tonight they're doing a community service event. I'm sorry,
- 36:17Speaker 6: Tomorrow night, you're doing a community service event here locally
- 36:20Speaker 6: with a group. Monday, they'll go they'll actually go buy groceries.
- 36:24Speaker 6: Each position group will go buy groceries for a family
- 36:27Speaker 6: in need. My wife and I'll do a turkey with
- 36:29Speaker 6: each position group for a family of need. But we
- 36:32Speaker 6: as a team before we go deliver those groceries to
- 36:36Speaker 6: families on Tuesday, we'll have a Thanksgiving lunch on Tuesday,
- 36:40Speaker 6: so we'll celebrate Thanksgiving forty eight hours for everybody else.
- 36:44Speaker 6: And then once we show up to the building on
- 36:46Speaker 6: Wednesday morning or Wednesday midday for practice and meetings, and
- 36:53Speaker 6: we head to our team hotel here locally, it really
- 36:56Speaker 6: won't be Thanksgiving. Our minds. It'll be like a Friday
- 36:58Speaker 6: getting ready to go play Saturday game be really a
- 37:00Speaker 6: Wednesday and Thursday. So we're gonna act like Thanksgivings on Tuesday.
- 37:03Speaker 6: Here with Tulane Football.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Got three final questions. Are there rules on how much
- 37:09Speaker 1: EyeBlack you can put on your team's fate if they
- 37:11Speaker 1: just wanted to go full like, I don't know what
- 37:13Speaker 1: shapes they want to draw? Is that a conversation.
- 37:18Speaker 6: I've never had that conversation with the guys. I think
- 37:21Speaker 6: I could probably I could see that coming up if
- 37:23Speaker 6: somebody wanted to do too much, I mean, but I've
- 37:26Speaker 6: never brought that up to them. There are plenty of
- 37:29Speaker 6: things as a coach we discussed, like last week we
- 37:31Speaker 6: were playing in Maryland in Maryland and Navy, and I'm like, guys,
- 37:36Speaker 6: if you carry the football, you're not own to wear
- 37:37Speaker 6: long sleeves because I don't want the ball slipping. And
- 37:40Speaker 6: so those were things. Eyeblack's not something I've addressed yet.
- 37:43Speaker 6: But you never know the number of things we have
- 37:46Speaker 6: to address these days that I never thought i'd even
- 37:48Speaker 6: be addressing. Who knows, it could be EyeBlack next coach.
- 37:53Speaker 4: As soon as you're playing days were over. Did you
- 37:55Speaker 4: know immediately that you were just going to be a
- 37:57Speaker 4: coach or was there something else that you thought, like, oh,
- 37:59Speaker 4: maybe I can do this.
- 38:00Speaker 6: Yeah. So I got my degree in finance Rsity, Kentucky,
- 38:04Speaker 6: and I knew I never wanted to work at a bank,
- 38:06Speaker 6: and so like I really did it. Honestly, the only
- 38:09Speaker 6: reason I got my degree in finance because most of
- 38:11Speaker 6: the football guys were getting their degrees in other areas.
- 38:14Speaker 6: I wanted to take classes with like just the normal
- 38:17Speaker 6: student body. That's how I got how I ended up
- 38:19Speaker 6: in the business school because there wasn't very many football
- 38:21Speaker 6: players going, hey, I want to go to the business school,
- 38:23Speaker 6: and so I did that. I've known I wanted to
- 38:25Speaker 6: be a football coach, probably since I was like nine
- 38:27Speaker 6: or ten. Like I love the game. I don't feel
- 38:30Speaker 6: like I go to work a day in my life.
- 38:32Speaker 6: Like I don't let my university administration hear this, but like, man,
- 38:37Speaker 6: I'm grossly overpaid for what I do. I love what
- 38:40Speaker 6: I freaking do. Like I I wake up every day,
- 38:42Speaker 6: I'm like I get to go to football practice and
- 38:44Speaker 6: they're paying me to do this, Like come on, man,
- 38:45Speaker 6: what are we talking about So I got the best
- 38:48Speaker 6: job in the world. Man, I've not I want to
- 38:49Speaker 6: do this for a long time and very blessed to
- 38:51Speaker 6: get to do it.
- 38:52Speaker 1: It's still like pretty jacked. I'm a pretty thin guy.
- 38:56Speaker 1: I put up two forty five the other day. I'm
- 38:58Speaker 1: pretty proud of that because I listen, you know, never
- 39:01Speaker 1: I was never jacked in decent shape. But what could
- 39:03Speaker 1: you put up right now one time? Coach?
- 39:05Speaker 6: You know what? Probably three point fifteen, three twenty five
- 39:08Speaker 6: somewhere that range.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Come on, that's awesome. I I don't lift.
- 39:12Speaker 6: I don't really. I don't really lift lift very much
- 39:15Speaker 6: anymore than I'm trying to. I'm trying to be more lean.
- 39:17Speaker 6: So I run.
- 39:19Speaker 1: I'm a runner.
- 39:19Speaker 6: I run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I run over
- 39:22Speaker 6: Mondays and Wednesdays, like five thirty in the morning. I
- 39:24Speaker 6: go three to five miles every Monday and Wednesday, and
- 39:27Speaker 6: then Friday I run after I practice and I go
- 39:29Speaker 6: for a five k three point one one. So I'm
- 39:33Speaker 6: about two thirty now. I wish I was too ten.
- 39:35Speaker 6: I'm trying. I'm never I'm at the point where're putting
- 39:37Speaker 6: on weights. Not definitely not the goal anymore.
- 39:39Speaker 1: What's the music you listen to when you run?
- 39:41Speaker 6: You know, that's a great question. I listened to Red
- 39:44Speaker 6: Hot Chili Peppers on Monday morning to run. I listened
- 39:48Speaker 6: to The Rolling Stones, Yesterday's run Tomorrow. We'll see. But
- 39:52Speaker 6: I kind of I bounce around a little bit of everything,
- 39:56Speaker 6: little country, little rock and roll, a little bit of
- 39:58Speaker 6: all of it.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Yeah, countries like the you know, I work in country music,
- 40:01Speaker 1: but it's like the worst to run to, Like there's
- 40:04Speaker 1: nothing good. Maybe like some there's not.
- 40:06Speaker 6: A lot of great now. Yeah, Yeah, there's got a
- 40:08Speaker 6: lot of great country. I know, I know every now
- 40:12Speaker 6: and They'm like you can find Like I love Chris Stapleton.
- 40:16Speaker 1: That's what I was gonna say. Stapleton, my brothers Osbourne
- 40:18Speaker 1: because they got the rock edge to them that you
- 40:19Speaker 1: can run to.
- 40:20Speaker 6: Yeah, Like I love Stapleton. Like I don't know what
- 40:23Speaker 6: you can't do to Chris Stapleton, you know what I mean? Like, run,
- 40:26Speaker 6: drink whatever?
- 40:27Speaker 1: Yeah, fair enough, all of it. Hey, I've done it
- 40:29Speaker 1: all and alone and alone. Hey, coach, congratulations on awesome season.
- 40:35Speaker 1: I was kind of feeling bad all and done this.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I was kind of feeling bad last week for you
- 40:38Speaker 1: guys because I felt like you guys were gonna be Navy,
- 40:41Speaker 1: but some people were just afraid to pick you because
- 40:42Speaker 1: it looked like they were picking against Navy. So they're all, like,
- 40:45Speaker 1: we love America. That's got to be so weird to
- 40:47Speaker 1: go play like Armed Force. It's one of the Armed
- 40:50Speaker 1: Forces teams.
- 40:51Speaker 6: Yeah, it's you know, it was intertinge. We we educate
- 40:53Speaker 6: our guys in that. So I've I've got my head
- 40:55Speaker 6: shrink coach. He came rusty with.
- 40:58Speaker 1: And with.
- 41:00Speaker 6: Was a green Beret in the Army, and so I
- 41:04Speaker 6: every time we play at Service Academy, I win address
- 41:06Speaker 6: our team. We played Army twice at Troy. We play
- 41:09Speaker 6: Army in a couple of weeks in our conference championship game.
- 41:11Speaker 6: It's already set. I usually have address our team just
- 41:14Speaker 6: about like, hey, guys, the guys you're going to play,
- 41:16Speaker 6: they're college students that wear a uniform, but like a
- 41:20Speaker 6: military uniform. And and then he shows the schedule of
- 41:24Speaker 6: a guy at one of those institutions in a schedule
- 41:26Speaker 6: of our guy, like our guys are in the building
- 41:27Speaker 6: at five point thirty every morning, and like they're up
- 41:31Speaker 6: doing academics at two lanes at really high academic school,
- 41:34Speaker 6: and so our guys are doing academic stuff till ten
- 41:35Speaker 6: eleven o'clock most nights, and so he shows the schedules.
- 41:38Speaker 6: He goes, y'all do similar schedule things, you just don't
- 41:41Speaker 6: do it in the military uniform. And so we have
- 41:44Speaker 6: a ton of respect for the service academies both. You know,
- 41:48Speaker 6: I have a coach against Air Force, but both coaches
- 41:51Speaker 6: at Army and at Navy I'm great friends with and
- 41:53Speaker 6: have a ton of respect for both of them and
- 41:55Speaker 6: their kids. I love, I love what both places are about.
- 42:00Speaker 6: We play him, it's like they were playing a football game.
- 42:02Speaker 6: We're not a battlefield. We're playing football, and so let's
- 42:05Speaker 6: go win the game.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Coach, good luck the rest of the season. We really
- 42:08Speaker 1: appreciate the time. Congrats on a great season so far.
- 42:10Speaker 6: Thank y'all. I appreciate you all. It's awesome being I'll
- 42:12Speaker 6: listen to y'all too, so awesome to be on.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Thanks coach.
- 42:16Speaker 3: Coach, y'all.
- 42:17Speaker 1: There's a pickleball video that's gone viral, not so much
- 42:20Speaker 1: for the quality of play. Have you guys seen the
- 42:21Speaker 1: fight video?
- 42:22Speaker 6: No?
- 42:22Speaker 1: No, okay, there's a tournament and it's doubles, which most
- 42:26Speaker 1: people play doubles, and it's two dudes versus two dudes,
- 42:30Speaker 1: and it's going back and forth, and you know, guys
- 42:34Speaker 1: get pumped and goes yeah. At the end of it,
- 42:38Speaker 1: you should search this on TikTok so you can see
- 42:40Speaker 1: it as soon as I'm done. At the end of it,
- 42:44Speaker 1: they go to shake hands and obviously they make competing
- 42:48Speaker 1: hard and one of the guys is holding his racket
- 42:50Speaker 1: and the other guy reached out to shake his hand
- 42:51Speaker 1: and actually knocks the racket out of his hand. To me,
- 42:55Speaker 1: it did not look like he did it on purpose,
- 42:57Speaker 1: because he's just going They were just slapping hands over
- 42:59Speaker 1: the net and the guy had us racket up or
- 43:02Speaker 1: his paddle. I guess you used to say, yeah it fell.
- 43:05Speaker 1: It didn't look like anything out of the ordinary people
- 43:08Speaker 1: competing hard. So the guy who actually knocked it out
- 43:13Speaker 1: of his hand is like, oh, my bad, bend's down
- 43:15Speaker 1: over the net to grab it because he knocked out
- 43:17Speaker 1: of his hand, and the other dude kicks up out
- 43:19Speaker 1: of his face. What dude, it is a karate Kid
- 43:24Speaker 1: Part nine flying flamingo right in his face, knocked out,
- 43:29Speaker 1: and then the other partner like runs over. I didn't
- 43:32Speaker 1: feel the other partner ran over aggressive enough to fight.
- 43:34Speaker 1: He runs overs, like what's up? But it was so
- 43:37Speaker 1: violent that hands should have been thrown immediately. And the
- 43:42Speaker 1: other dude, I don't know instinctively. You gotta look it up.
- 43:46Speaker 3: I need to see this.
- 43:48Speaker 8: Hold on, let's see this.
- 43:53Speaker 6: Okay, here we go.
- 43:57Speaker 3: Oh, oh, I don't know both. Oh that looks aggressive.
- 44:04Speaker 1: The kick.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Okay, here, we're at the end of the play. All right,
- 44:07Speaker 3: game's over.
- 44:08Speaker 1: The kick yet, game's over.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Goes up there.
- 44:12Speaker 5: Slaps the paddle. Oh he did.
- 44:14Speaker 3: I think he did it.
- 44:15Speaker 5: On propose one and then he knocked him out.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I think he knocked the paddle out of it, but
- 44:19Speaker 1: then he reached over to get it back again. And
- 44:21Speaker 1: when he reaches over to the dude, watch the kick again.
- 44:24Speaker 3: Let's watch it again. Watch again.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Oh, dude, the kick is cool. The kick is right.
- 44:28Speaker 1: I mean, it's like UFC when someone gets the bell
- 44:30Speaker 1: run out.
- 44:31Speaker 3: So okay, all right, I've seen enough.
- 44:33Speaker 4: So do you think that he did it at first
- 44:38Speaker 4: and was like, oh, the student is stupid me pick
- 44:40Speaker 4: pick it up, go pick it up? Or do you
- 44:41Speaker 4: think it was literally gonna try to shake his hand?
- 44:43Speaker 4: Accidentally dropped it and pick it up.
- 44:45Speaker 1: I almost don't think it matters because the kick was
- 44:47Speaker 1: so violent and so vulnerable. I think they were probably
- 44:50Speaker 1: he was probably upset slapping hands, and I don't think
- 44:54Speaker 1: he tried to like knock the paddle out. But you're
- 44:56Speaker 1: just like you're just stiff because you're like, god, dang it,
- 44:58Speaker 1: you don't even look you just yeah knocks at him.
- 45:01Speaker 7: Dude, Dude, isn't that the kick like right in my
- 45:03Speaker 7: face and knocks him twelve number twelve. And then the
- 45:07Speaker 7: guy's reaction after he kicks him, like what did you expect?
- 45:10Speaker 4: Have you ever thought about kicking someone in the face
- 45:13Speaker 4: like that? Like that's never crossed my.
- 45:14Speaker 1: I can't get my leg up that high like on
- 45:17Speaker 1: that I could, I guess because down so low. But
- 45:19Speaker 1: I can't kick him in the face because like iced
- 45:21Speaker 1: to box, like not professionally obviously, but not in competition,
- 45:26Speaker 1: but I would like we'd like box and train and
- 45:29Speaker 1: then we tried to kickbox, but I couldn't eve get
- 45:30Speaker 1: my leg up to like the nipples even like a turn.
- 45:33Speaker 4: Yeah face kick from the bottom, yeah yeah, from like
- 45:35Speaker 4: you know, standing straight up.
- 45:36Speaker 3: That's the stuff.
- 45:37Speaker 5: But this is about ned high.
- 45:38Speaker 4: I just feel like I've my mind has never gone there,
- 45:41Speaker 4: like so pissed, wrecked, so angry where I just want
- 45:44Speaker 4: to kick his.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Face, wrecked him. So I wanted you guys see that
- 45:47Speaker 1: as a warning. Was that, Hey, as a warning you're
- 45:50Speaker 1: going to do that? Yeah, don't f with me?
- 45:52Speaker 3: Was that tournament play?
- 45:53Speaker 1: Tournament play and never going hard and once they had
- 45:56Speaker 1: lost play, he's like, yeah, Okay, that's show biz, baby, Yeah,
- 46:00Speaker 1: that's what happens. Yeah, so yeah, that's pretty funny. There's
- 46:03Speaker 1: another thing.
- 46:04Speaker 3: You think that's going to happen to us, like at
- 46:05Speaker 3: some point.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Oh, if you deserve it, If you deserve it, I will.
- 46:08Speaker 3: No, there's no kicking in the face in our league.
- 46:10Speaker 1: That's not in the bylaws. Any know that there's a
- 46:12Speaker 1: thing that happened, And you know, I never want to
- 46:14Speaker 1: make this an Arkansas podcast by any means, but there
- 46:17Speaker 1: are certain things that are so interesting that happened within
- 46:18Speaker 1: the athletic program that I know about. And one of
- 46:21Speaker 1: them is they put up a sign. And this has
- 46:24Speaker 1: happened in the history of college football many years. They'll
- 46:26Speaker 1: fly banners over like fire. This coach, even Arkansas did
- 46:29Speaker 1: this with Houston Nut way back in the day, they're like,
- 46:31Speaker 1: we need a new coach. Or in different towns they
- 46:34Speaker 1: will put up billboards and be like.
- 46:37Speaker 3: We need a new coach.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Is it a waste of money? Probably? But in Arkansas
- 46:42Speaker 1: at the game last week in Texas, someone had bought
- 46:45Speaker 1: one of those digital billboards, not the kind that puts
- 46:47Speaker 1: up a digital picture that looks like a billboard that changes,
- 46:50Speaker 1: but just the letters, and you would see like some
- 46:52Speaker 1: of them would say like in the next three miles
- 46:55Speaker 1: there's construction, yeah, or what someone hacks one's like zombies ahead,
- 46:59Speaker 1: that kind of thing, And it was like, hey, thanks
- 47:01Speaker 1: for the last five years, Sam Pittman, but we need
- 47:04Speaker 1: new leadership. That kind of thing. But they put it
- 47:06Speaker 1: in the exact route the team bus was coming. Oh
- 47:09Speaker 1: and look, do I think that our current group of
- 47:14Speaker 1: coaches is going to lead us to a national championship?
- 47:17Speaker 1: I do not. I think Pittman has done a great
- 47:20Speaker 1: job at getting us to that next level, to give
- 47:23Speaker 1: us a shot to get to the next level. I
- 47:25Speaker 1: think we've pretty much hit our ceiling with coach Pittman
- 47:30Speaker 1: as the coach had some success, but mostly we're a
- 47:33Speaker 1: five hundred team, a little less Now we recruit. Even
- 47:39Speaker 1: if we have a top twenty five recruiting class, which
- 47:40Speaker 1: we do a lot of times, that's still like eighth
- 47:42Speaker 1: or ninth in the SEC. So it's not even that
- 47:44Speaker 1: you can have a top twenty five recruiting class. That
- 47:46Speaker 1: doesn't matter because you're playing all the other teams in
- 47:49Speaker 1: the conference. So do I think we've hit our ceiling?
- 47:51Speaker 5: Yes?
- 47:52Speaker 1: But do I think we need to put up It's
- 47:55Speaker 1: not even about putting up a billboard. If you put
- 47:57Speaker 1: one up randomly in Fayetteville, I wouldn't waste money on that.
- 48:02Speaker 1: But they put it on the road where the team
- 48:05Speaker 1: bus was going to the game. That just feels like
- 48:07Speaker 1: you're trying to embarrass somebody. I don't like that, and
- 48:11Speaker 1: so I even I wrote, yeah, I wrote that on
- 48:13Speaker 1: my Twitter because I have been I've never called for
- 48:16Speaker 1: somebody to lose their job, because that's not my decision,
- 48:20Speaker 1: nor do I want to be a part of somebody
- 48:21Speaker 1: losing their job. But if I feel like we lost,
- 48:25Speaker 1: like the OKLHUM State game, I still hold on to
- 48:27Speaker 1: I feel like that was we lost that game from
- 48:29Speaker 1: bad leadership, bad coaching. There were too many things that
- 48:31Speaker 1: went wrong in too many places. It wasn't like a
- 48:33Speaker 1: simple fumble or the offensive scheme wasn't working. It was offense.
- 48:37Speaker 1: There are script on defense. There were fumbles that were bad, penaled.
- 48:40Speaker 1: It was just overall. So that's why I was upset.
- 48:42Speaker 1: And I've been critical of that, and at times I've
- 48:45Speaker 1: not been critical and I've been like, dude, great game
- 48:46Speaker 1: playing for Tennessee. But the sign, I'll read it to
- 48:49Speaker 1: you exactly, thank you for five great years Sam. It
- 48:51Speaker 1: changes needed in order to compete in the SEC. And
- 48:54Speaker 1: it was like a sign on the side of the road, yeah,
- 48:57Speaker 1: on the way the bus. I didn't like to put
- 48:58Speaker 1: it with the bus. It just felt like two person
- 49:00Speaker 1: and all. It wouldn't matter what coach it is. I
- 49:02Speaker 1: feel like it's kind of a dig move.
- 49:04Speaker 3: What's the what's the endgame there?
- 49:05Speaker 4: Like when you buy something, Yeah, I would never buy
- 49:07Speaker 4: something like that, But if you bought something like that, like,
- 49:09Speaker 4: what are they think in is the endgame there? That
- 49:11Speaker 4: it's going to affect some change?
- 49:13Speaker 1: And I think it does if there's a whole lot
- 49:17Speaker 1: of it, But I don't think anything specifically does One
- 49:20Speaker 1: Billboard's not going to do it. A couple of emails
- 49:23Speaker 1: of the eighties not going to do it. Right, what's
- 49:25Speaker 1: really going to do it is Booster's going, Hey, we're
- 49:28Speaker 1: not gonna give any more money.
- 49:29Speaker 3: That's the real move.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Yeah, but it does put the pressure on whenever the
- 49:34Speaker 1: public is crying out, we don't like this, we're not
- 49:37Speaker 1: going to go with this. So does that affect things?
- 49:39Speaker 1: I would say fifteen percent. Does it affect yes, But
- 49:44Speaker 1: does it actually make a change. No, it doesn't make
- 49:48Speaker 1: it change. There are other factors too.
- 49:49Speaker 5: It doesn't matter what the message says. Like you said,
- 49:51Speaker 5: it says thanks, right.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Yeah, you're like, that's kind of sarcastic.
- 49:54Speaker 5: That's sarcastic.
- 49:55Speaker 1: No, I don't think it was at all. Really, No, No,
- 49:57Speaker 1: because I don't even feel that way.
- 49:58Speaker 5: I think it's genuine.
- 49:59Speaker 1: Yeah. We our last coach, we didn't want a SEC game.
- 50:01Speaker 1: He was are two years. Then when Pemmy comes in
- 50:03Speaker 1: Whens an SEC game. We started to have top twenty
- 50:04Speaker 1: five recruiting classes. We had a nine win season, you know,
- 50:07Speaker 1: we had a seven win season, you know, six five.
- 50:10Speaker 1: You know, I think we're to that point and we
- 50:13Speaker 1: did need some stability and we got it very much.
- 50:16Speaker 1: So I do not think that was sarcastic at all.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Thank you for five great years because he took us
- 50:21Speaker 1: from the low to the medium. Yeah, well a changes
- 50:26Speaker 1: need in order to compete in the SEC. Okay, so anyway,
- 50:28Speaker 1: and I wrote because someone said, how do you feel
- 50:31Speaker 1: about that? Oh? No, no, they wrote, can we get
- 50:32Speaker 1: you to endorse? This is what they wrote to me
- 50:35Speaker 1: and tag me? And I wrote and I posted it publicly.
- 50:38Speaker 1: I said, no, I thought this was trashy. Coach didn't
- 50:40Speaker 1: deserve this. We can all have opinions. Frankly, it's your money,
- 50:43Speaker 1: but no, I don't enjoy this at all. But I'm
- 50:45Speaker 1: also going to not say don't do it because you can't.
- 50:47Speaker 1: You're able to do whatever you want. I didn't like it, though.
- 50:50Speaker 3: Did whoever buy it? Did they admit that they bought it. No,
- 50:55Speaker 3: one's come out.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Because you can buy it through it like an LLC
- 50:58Speaker 1: and people have tried to figure it out. But they've
- 51:01Speaker 1: done this at Arkansas a few times.
- 51:03Speaker 5: Is that really expensive?
- 51:05Speaker 1: That board was like forty five hundred bucks for the
- 51:08Speaker 1: month because they did track down what it costs. It's
- 51:10Speaker 1: a digital one, they did. You can call the company
- 51:13Speaker 1: that owns and go, hey, how much to write something
- 51:15Speaker 1: and they can tell you, but they wouldn't tell them
- 51:17Speaker 1: who bought it. But I was watching. Maybe like John Naghbors,
- 51:21Speaker 1: who I like from Arkansas, maybe he called just to
- 51:24Speaker 1: see how much that would cost to do. So that's
- 51:27Speaker 1: the other thing I want to talk about. I got
- 51:28Speaker 1: looked like four things in the second here, next up,
- 51:31Speaker 1: did you have guys happen to see the BYU Cougar
- 51:33Speaker 1: do the flip over the golf cart? No, I'll pull
- 51:35Speaker 1: it up.
- 51:35Speaker 3: Here we go again, bring it up?
- 51:37Speaker 6: All right?
- 51:37Speaker 1: All right? This BYU Cougar not only does all the
- 51:40Speaker 1: push ups, the mascot and the flips. Oh my god,
- 51:43Speaker 1: this is the most death defying mascot stunt I've ever seen.
- 51:46Speaker 1: It's up there with the Phoenix, Sun's Gorilla that flies
- 51:48Speaker 1: ten hundred feet in the year and Duksta Ball. It's
- 51:50Speaker 1: Awesome's awesome, this this cougar could have died. It's the mascot.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, halftimes, Yeah, Eddie go watch this. So the
- 51:58Speaker 1: first time, don't, don't watch it until Eddie can get
- 51:59Speaker 1: over there. So he's doing flip flip flip.
- 52:02Speaker 5: There's a commercial. Sorry, keeping keep talking.
- 52:04Speaker 1: He's doing flip flip flip flip, and then he jumps
- 52:06Speaker 1: up because here's a gymnast obviously as a golf cart
- 52:10Speaker 1: is driving by. Let me know whenever you guys get
- 52:12Speaker 1: it going.
- 52:13Speaker 3: About eighteen seconds.
- 52:14Speaker 5: Oh great, great, it's a long add, long ad, long ad.
- 52:17Speaker 1: What's it for?
- 52:18Speaker 3: Uh, it's a it's a home improvement.
- 52:21Speaker 1: It's on Kevin's. It's like impotence medicine. He's all in bad.
- 52:27Speaker 5: All right, we three seconds.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Okay, here we go, b Yu cooker doing flips.
- 52:33Speaker 6: There we go.
- 52:34Speaker 5: Whoa it clip? He clipped his head.
- 52:38Speaker 3: The golf cart clipped his head.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Now not so not so bad that hurt him. No,
- 52:43Speaker 1: that's how close.
- 52:44Speaker 3: So he's just cushion.
- 52:45Speaker 1: He does a back flip, a high jumping back flip
- 52:48Speaker 1: at the same exact time the golf cart striway times
- 52:51Speaker 1: it perfectly that he flips over the top of it
- 52:53Speaker 1: in the air. That's it lands on the other side.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 52:57Speaker 4: But but probably I would say six inches from losing
- 53:01Speaker 4: his head.
- 53:03Speaker 1: That if you ever watched the stuff that Matt that
- 53:05Speaker 1: b why you mascot does he is?
- 53:06Speaker 5: Oh he's the best.
- 53:07Speaker 1: He's that MVP mascot mascot Valuable Player.
- 53:10Speaker 7: Remember when they did a dance like five or six
- 53:11Speaker 7: years ago when that role league.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Oh what he jumped in with the.
- 53:14Speaker 5: Team, yeah, and he was just like, dude, you can
- 53:16Speaker 5: dance too.
- 53:16Speaker 1: I don't know if it's the same person because that
- 53:17Speaker 1: was years ago, I know, but that's like somebody having
- 53:20Speaker 1: the dog that's twenty years from now, but it's the
- 53:22Speaker 1: same dog, and you're like, no, that's that's Mark. Those
- 53:25Speaker 1: dogs don't live to be twenty. That's just a different dog.
- 53:27Speaker 6: You know.
- 53:27Speaker 4: In high school, they asked me to be the mascot
- 53:30Speaker 4: and I turned it down, politely turned it down.
- 53:32Speaker 1: What was and that reminds you of that.
- 53:34Speaker 3: Just the mascot, just the mascot talk.
- 53:37Speaker 4: It was a Mustang, I mean, because I brought a
- 53:40Speaker 4: lot of spirit to the games. Like you know, we'd
- 53:42Speaker 4: all pre game a little bit and then like when
- 53:44Speaker 4: the game came on, I made this like Rudy helmet.
- 53:47Speaker 4: It was I spray painted a goal and they had
- 53:48Speaker 4: a Mustang on the side, and I would run the track.
- 53:51Speaker 4: They would send me out to run the track, I'd
- 53:52Speaker 4: hold the flag.
- 53:53Speaker 3: I'd go with the.
- 53:54Speaker 4: Cheerleaders to go taunt the other side. So at some
- 53:57Speaker 4: point they were like why don't you just become the mascot?
- 53:58Speaker 4: And I'm like, nah, I kind of like having phone
- 54:00Speaker 4: my friends.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Would you have to worry a mascot?
- 54:02Speaker 4: It's just like the cougar? But I guess yeah, it's
- 54:05Speaker 4: just like the cougar. But I had a mustang helmet.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Did you tell them me you needed to be drunk though?
- 54:09Speaker 3: Pretty much? That's what that's part of it.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Yeah, like no, I guys, I'll do it, but yeah,
- 54:14Speaker 1: I gotta be drunk and I got to be drunk. Okay.
- 54:18Speaker 1: And the final thing in this little second here have
- 54:20Speaker 1: a little game for you guys.
- 54:21Speaker 6: Let's go.
- 54:23Speaker 1: We're gonna play. There are seven answers on the board.
- 54:27Speaker 1: NFL quarterbacks known primarily for their first name.
- 54:33Speaker 5: It's like a survey.
- 54:35Speaker 1: They did. Top seven NFL quarterbacks known primarily for their
- 54:40Speaker 1: first name. Okay, pick number one through ten, Kevin.
- 54:45Speaker 8: Four, Eddie three.
- 54:46Speaker 1: The number was two, so Eddie you can go first.
- 54:49Speaker 4: My number one pick on this one bones is boomer right,
- 54:53Speaker 4: current is all time all time?
- 54:55Speaker 3: Current?
- 54:56Speaker 1: Boomer is incorrect? You know it's it's current.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Oh current?
- 55:00Speaker 6: Am I up?
- 55:01Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 55:01Speaker 6: You're uh?
- 55:01Speaker 5: Okay, Lamar.
- 55:04Speaker 1: The number two answer is Lamar was on Lamar Jackson
- 55:07Speaker 1: two points?
- 55:09Speaker 4: Does he go till the misses or you want to
- 55:11Speaker 4: go back and forth? And he's like, Roger, I'm gonna
- 55:13Speaker 4: be like Joe, well that Joe Burrow.
- 55:16Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm up.
- 55:18Speaker 5: No, so Kevin, he okay, let's go with.
- 55:25Speaker 6: Joe.
- 55:27Speaker 1: No Eddie. Quarterbacks, No, primarily for the first name. Current quarterbacks,
- 55:32Speaker 1: Patty's Patrick.
- 55:36Speaker 3: He's not on there.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Huh, Kevin.
- 55:43Speaker 4: Josh, I know, okay, I mean they have to have
- 55:47Speaker 4: be unique first.
- 55:48Speaker 6: I know.
- 55:48Speaker 1: I'm trying because if you're just like if you just said.
- 55:52Speaker 3: Lamar, oh, I got it, I got bo Bo Nicks, dude, no, Bo.
- 56:00Speaker 1: Like the Bo Jackson even though he's not current. If
- 56:03Speaker 1: you're talking about a fall play and you're like, bo,
- 56:05Speaker 1: I got one, go ahead, Gardener, huh Gardner, No, no, no, Dan,
- 56:10Speaker 1: we're struggling here with this one. I thought this would
- 56:12Speaker 1: be easier c J. Now you're just named it quarterbacks.
- 56:17Speaker 3: Just going down the little of the quarterback.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Oh, let me ask the question. What NFL quarterbacks are
- 56:21Speaker 1: known primarily for their first name? Top seven are on
- 56:23Speaker 1: the board. Number two is Lamar, go ahead, let.
- 56:26Speaker 5: Me Russ Russell.
- 56:30Speaker 3: No, that's not Russ.
- 56:32Speaker 4: Russ Cook, I got it, I got I got one
- 56:34Speaker 4: finally Eddie Dak.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Yeah, oh ESPN. They were like, all right, Dak Dak's
- 56:42Speaker 1: on the field. Yes, you'd know who that was. Okay,
- 56:45Speaker 1: Eddie six points. Uh, I can't give you get too many.
- 56:48Speaker 3: Rounds, I know, let's go with.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Oh, Kyler, Kyler makes a listen number four?
- 56:57Speaker 5: Nice?
- 56:57Speaker 3: Nice, nice, they're thinking hard.
- 57:01Speaker 1: Tyler's not doing press after the game.
- 57:02Speaker 3: Got it, I got another one. Go ahead, Brock. No,
- 57:06Speaker 3: Brook's not on there.

- 1:00:10Speaker 4: me were you know, we go to church early because
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: I need to be home by eleven because the game
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: started noon and I want nothing to do except watch football.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: From noon to I go when I go to bed.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: But this, since last week, it's the first time where
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: I'm like, what, you want to play something for Sunday?
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: Like that's fine, you want people to come over.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: It's depressing.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: I'm gonna grill something.
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: I'll do it.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: I know, like we've played last week at eleven and

- 1:00:37Speaker 1: eight o'clock. Oh, and you're watching the Yeah it sucks.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: I know, man, it.

- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Start, but what if he's good, Like, do you want
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: to and maybe they're not playing him because there's a
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: chance he could be so dynamic he could win a
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: couple of games but also lose a couple games really badly.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: But if he wins a couple of games, that's not
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: good for you if you're losing.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: Do you think like if they put him in and
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: he starts playing really well, they can tell him like, hey,
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: we're gonna pull you out like you're doing too good.
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: No.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: I think if he played really well, they'd trade him,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: that they would showcase him. I think they would showcase him,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: and maybe they're not playing him because they don't want
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: people to see that he's not And hopefully they could
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: get like a six or they give m a fourth
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: for him, right, yeah, fourth, get it? I don't know.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: It just bones me on.
