- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar fans, welcome and to do val dayly president by jing Jack.com.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Aluga, thanks so much for being here Friday, December 5th, just a couple sleeps away from your Jacksonville Jaguar is taking on the Indianapolis Colts.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about this game a lot already.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to continue talking about it over the next couple days.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: right now we're looking at why the cults scare me how the cults scare me like yes they've lost three out of their last four games yes things are not going as well as they had hoped they're not as healthy as they had hoped but they still have a lot of pieces to this puzzle that worry me in this specific individual game
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what we're going to talk about right here right now kind of dive into the different ways the cults can beat specifically the Jag Wars, any team really, but specifically the Jag Wars.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: So excited to get into it, I guess, talking about
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: some real positive aspects of the cults and why they scare me.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: So really appreciate y'all being here.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll just check out jingag.com, pick up some new dooval gear, help support the channel, look good while doing it.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all support.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: Have been seeing a lot of people post the YouTube like year and review stuff and you know, top one percent of viewers for jingag and that stuff's really cool.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I really appreciate all of y'all supporting the channel.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, diving into these different, different reasons, the cult scare me, Louie and Arumo for one, and it's not like Louie and Arumo is some absolute mad scientist, but he can do some things to you that,
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he comes in, and who knows what it is.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's mugged up linebacker, safety blitz is a combination of a bunch of different things.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: Some zone coverage looks that post-nap rotation, it can be a lot of different things.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: He worries me because he is not what the cults have been, defense of coordinator.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: They have been Gus Bradley, vanilla scheme, and I know that Trevor Lawrence knows that this is a different cult's team.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: But I want to make sure Jack's fans understand this defense for the cult is so significantly different, both personnel wise.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: in some ways, and certainly in the way that they're coached in and deployed, and so Luena Rumo can come at it from so many different directions, and if Luena Rumo comes out and has the the cults running some things that the Jaguars aren't really ready for in third-down situations, how quickly can the Jaguars adjust, like the cat and mouse game, the chess match, whatever you want to call it,
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: his prowess coaching defense scares me a lot more than what they have had on that side of the ball for the last handful of years.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: That combined with the fact that they went out and got camped by them.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: The safety from Minnesota who is getting his hands on the football.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: These are the types of guys with Lou and Arumo as the coach that can kind of do some things like the Cardinals did to get Trevor to make some mistakes, not necessarily.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I know that Lawrence had the three interceptions, two of them were plays where Cardinals defenders just made great plays and kind of fooled Trevor Lawrence.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm worried that the cults can do some of that now.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: I did not think that there was any threat of that when Gus Bradley was their defense of coordinator, when they didn't have camp item.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: Think about what the Rams did with Quentin Lake against the Jaguars as well.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: He was a game-recker.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that they can do some of those types of things with the guys that they have, and that's worrisome for me.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not all doom and gloom.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguarists have shown they have a lot of answers to a lot of different things.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: And we will do bold predictions and get into how I think that this will play out tomorrow.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: But for now, again, we're just focusing on, I don't think there's enough coverage of what your opponent's really do super well weekend and we count, and that's what I'm trying to do here.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Pittman, I haven't heard anybody talk about Michael Pittman Jr. And I get it, he's not like the most terrifying receiver of all time.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's not like a burner, a deep burner, anything like that.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: But Michael Pittman, quietly, I guess you could say, he's averaging over 80 yards per game against the Jack Wars in his career.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: And when I think about the type of receiver the Jack Wars can struggle with, it's a big physical receivers.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Pittman, pretty big last time I checked, pretty physical, pretty strong.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: And so does that matchup present issues for the Jaguars in key situations?
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: Can he be that chain mover for the Colts against the Jaguars that helps keep them on pace?
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we haven't talked about number 28 yet for the Colts.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that Michael Pittman might be the type of receiver the Jaguars struggle with.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: And he's had a lot of success against the Jai Wars throughout his career, not enough people talk about that.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Not enough people talk about the cults, receivers in general, you know, Josh Downs.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: He was a full participant in practice on Thursday, so he'll be back.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: He is a slot dynamo, Michael Pittman, really, really good football player, Alec Pierce,
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: And he's averaging 20 Alec Pearce now, 20 yards per catch, 21 yards per catch basically, on 33 catches this year.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's not been the most efficient, only 57% of his targets have been caught, but that's because the average depth of target is 20 yards down the field.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he is the field stretcher, and he's been a pretty damn good field stretcher for the cult, really for the last two years.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think everybody's kind of just like, well, if you stop Jonathan Taylor, you'll win the game.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think if you slow down Jonathan Taylor, you have a very good chance to win the game, but it's not as if there's no chance that the cold's beat you with their passing game, because they've shown that they can do that.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: And they've got pieces.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Pittman is a big part of it.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Warren's a big part of it, too.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: This is another element to this team that hasn't been present in recent years, right?
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Warren, the rookie tight end, he has been really, really impressive.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: And he was one of my guys where I think he was top five on my board.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: I just thought that he was a slam dunk, no doubt about it, gonna be a great tight end.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: for a very long time who also has the ability to block at a high level at 66261 just a freak athlete at that size has unbelievable hands really and there's actually been a little bit more variance with his hands this year than I would have expected but sometimes that happens with a rookie I expect him to clean it up and be excellent and he has been excellent still but he has almost 700 yards as a rookie tight end and four touch downs and
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: 58 catches.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's catching 78% of his targets.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: We always talk about Jacobi Myers and Britain Strange and they're catching like 85% of their targets.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Warren's almost as efficient as that and he's done that over an entire season here with the Colts as a rookie.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: Some of that has to do with the fact that he'll get targeted really close to the line.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: Scrimmage they'll do different things to get him involved.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: But this guy is the type of tight end that has killed the Jag wars over the years.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: You have a talented receiving tight end.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: That is a big, you know, circle that.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: You got to make sure that you take care of that if you're the Jag wars because they just haven't enough.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Even in a game against the cardinals where it felt like they kept Traimic bride contained, he still got a number of receptions in yards.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: He just didn't really break the game open.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: You do worry about Tyler Warren scoring touchdowns.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: You do worry about him having big game-changing plays against you.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: And the Jack's got to make sure they're on their pees and cues there.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: The reason it makes it so difficult,
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: to think about the passing offense and all these weapons that they do have, which they do have weapons.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: Jonathan Taylor, number 28.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: This guy is on an absolute tear this year.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's been incredible.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: There's no other way to put it.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: He might be playing the best running back in football.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: Truthfully.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: And to be fair, it's been a lot slower the last few weeks.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: Some teams have done a good job slowing him down.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: And three to the last four games, the three games that they have lost in the last four games.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jonathan Taylor has rushed for under 100 yards.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Against the Steelers, he ran for 45.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: Against the Chiefs, he ran for 58.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: Against the Texans, he ran it for 85.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, oh, that's a pretty good game.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: But he only averaged four yards per carry.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: One game in between all those games is against the Atlanta Falcons, and he ran 424 yards and 3 touchdowns.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have a good run defense, so I don't envision him having a career day against the Jaguars, but if he has a good day, that's going to make it a lot tougher to win this game.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's averaging almost six yards per carry.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: 5.7 yards per carry on the year.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: Again, that has been significantly lower in these three games that they've lost out of their last four.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: Average 3.2 against the Steelers, 3.6 against the chiefs and four against the Texans.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: If you can hold him to four yards per carry, I think that's gonna help you a lot.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna be difficult to do it though.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: And for me,
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: if he just has like a decent day run in the ball he's averaging in between four and four and half yards per carry.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: You don't allow any house calls from 50 plus yards or things of that nature, 40 plus yards.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: You're probably in good shape, but he has long runs this year of 68, 80, 83.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: If he has a run like that against the Jack Wars, that is going to really hurt.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: Now, my final point here about the cults that I don't think enough, folks in Jacksonville talk about, is just how good of an offensive coach Shane Stykin is.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: And he's now had a little bit of time to kind of figure out how to use this version of Daniel Jones.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: Every single quarterback that he has coached in Indy, he has been able to, in my opinion, raise their level of play outside of like anything Richardson and we all know that situation, but
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: I would trust Shane Steiken as much as anyone to get the most out of this version of Daniel Jones without the true mobility that he's had for most of his career.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: And if there's an offensive coach that can figure out what to do with Anthony Campanila and all of the covers, rotations, post-snap and the different sim pressures and just kind of the balance that the Jaguar
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: a shame-stacking.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's a hell of a coach.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: And so, all this to say, I think a lot of jacks fans are like, oh, the jacks have won three straight.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: They won four out of five.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: The cults have lost three out of four.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: The cults can't win in jacks.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: And they'll have at one here since 2014 despite playing here every single year.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: All of that is true.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: And the jacks are playing good football right now.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: They have really improved in a lot of ways since the by week.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: But just don't write off the cults as all I'm saying.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: And you can do whatever you want, your fan.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: But the cults have a lot of issues for opponents to deal with.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: And if the jags aren't on their game, if they allow Jonathan Taylor and ADR Touchdown run,
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: Lou and Arumo to fool them offensively.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: And it could not even just Trevor Lawrence, but like the offensive line has had a difficult time dealing with stunts and games up front, dealing with protection IDs with blitzers, specifically, like against defensive backs.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: When you bring some exotic looks, the offensive line has struggled a little bit.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: Shane Stack and great offensive coach underrated weapons that they're using offensively outside of Jonathan Taylor.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the Jack Wars are in for a tough fight.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: We'll keep talking about this one moving forward.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
