- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to the Mark Simone show.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Wo r. Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three
- 0:10Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten is in them. Let's go
- 0:13Speaker 2: to Howard in North Carolina. Howard, how you doing doing great? Mark,
- 0:18Speaker 2: glad to speak with you. I'm just curious on the
- 0:20Speaker 2: Rolling Stones. Back in the day, maybe at Studio fifty four,
- 0:23Speaker 2: did you ever run into Micker knowing of those guys? Yeah, no, no,
- 0:26Speaker 2: all the time, well even in recent years. Yeah, Mick
- 0:28Speaker 2: Jagger's all a big part of New York. He spends
- 0:31Speaker 2: a lot of time in New York. He's the only
- 0:33Speaker 2: Rolling Stone I know. The other guys I don't know
- 0:34Speaker 2: at all, but the one of them, well, Keith Richards
- 0:38Speaker 2: lives in Connecticut. It's been living in Connecticut for like
- 0:40Speaker 2: forty years. Right, right, Well, great lug your show.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Mark, Let's all the time, have a great one.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Thanks. Thanks. Yeah. Yeah, Mick Jagger had an apartment. I
- 0:50Speaker 2: think he still does, right. I don't want to say where,
- 0:51Speaker 2: but it's a block from where I'm sitting right now.
- 0:55Speaker 2: And you know, one thing about the Stones. You remember
- 0:58Speaker 2: when the album Some Girls came out that was what
- 1:01Speaker 2: was that late seventies, really captured the field of New
- 1:04Speaker 2: York back then, the gritty gritty New York streets. And
- 1:08Speaker 2: you know, for guys from England, it captured better than
- 1:11Speaker 2: most of us bands did. Let's go to Harriet in Brooklyn. Harriet,
- 1:15Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 1:16Speaker 1: God bless you. You're a great patriot. Thank you for
- 1:18Speaker 1: your service. God bless Donald Trump.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Barack who said thank you for my service.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You're you're a patriot. You're a patriot. You're you're a
- 1:27Speaker 1: supporter of Donna J. Trump. I love you?
- 1:29Speaker 2: What service? Where did I serve?
- 1:32Speaker 1: You're serving the United States of America with your patriotism.
- 1:35Speaker 1: You mind, our great president. This is important. We need
- 1:39Speaker 1: patriotism here, like Howie car and you great Harriet.
- 1:42Speaker 2: We love you. But you're getting a little carried away?
- 1:44Speaker 2: There are you? There? Did you go away?
- 1:50Speaker 1: That man, Daddy is uh an extraordinary talent? Well we
- 1:57Speaker 1: have peace. The first Muslim Brotherhood president. Disgrace to the nation.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Lack. He wasn't born in the country. I don't think
- 2:04Speaker 2: he'll be president. He wants to be governor one day.
- 2:07Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah, but Barack Obama is stating that he's
- 2:12Speaker 1: an extraordinary talent. Man, Danny. See, that's the damn and
- 2:15Speaker 1: the man. Dammy, it's not Danny. He's creating the city
- 2:19Speaker 1: of the damn here.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Harryt, Well, great call, thanks for calling.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Let me just explain Obama. He's been gone for a
- 2:25Speaker 2: while under the radar. He was getting paid a fortune
- 2:28Speaker 2: of fortune by Netflix and all the book deal he
- 2:31Speaker 2: was making. He made himself hundreds of millions of dollars. Well,
- 2:34Speaker 2: that kind of all stopped. Now you're all of a
- 2:36Speaker 2: sudden seeing Obama all over the place. The reason for
- 2:39Speaker 2: that is a he wants to be relevant again, but
- 2:43Speaker 2: he also wants to make some more money, so that's
- 2:45Speaker 2: why he's all over Mom Donnie. You know, during the campaign,
- 2:49Speaker 2: Mom Donnie kept calling Obama for support and Obama never
- 2:52Speaker 2: would answer. But now that he's mayor Obama, it's all
- 2:57Speaker 2: over him. He's going to be for all the big, big,
- 3:01Speaker 2: big big corporations and may want to hand him millions
- 3:04Speaker 2: of dollars. He's trying to act like he's very connected
- 3:07Speaker 2: to anything, you know, so he can get anything done
- 3:09Speaker 2: with Mom Donnie. His guy David Achlearod was over in
- 3:12Speaker 2: the Vatican meeting with the Pope that he's signaling all
- 3:15Speaker 2: the big corporations. You need anything done, I'm your guy.
- 3:19Speaker 2: That's what Bill Clinton did when he got out of office.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Billionaires corporations would pay Clinton millions and millions and millions
- 3:26Speaker 2: to help them get deals. And if they were having
- 3:30Speaker 2: trouble in India they couldn't get their power plant deal approved,
- 3:34Speaker 2: they'd pay Clinton millions, get on a plane with him,
- 3:36Speaker 2: fly over to India. Because he knew the Prime minister,
- 3:39Speaker 2: he knew all the people there. He could walk you
- 3:40Speaker 2: right into their office. Let's go to Lenny in Long Island. Lenny,
- 3:44Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 3:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm doing good.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Mark.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Hey, I got a message for Mick Jagger and Rolling Stones. Yeah,
- 3:52Speaker 4: a couple of it's all over now. Time is not
- 3:55Speaker 4: on their side and I get no satisfaction from that, no.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Single All right, where are you Long Island?
- 4:01Speaker 4: I'm in oh Okay.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Hey, speaking of Long Island. There's a great restaurant Posto Pozzo.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I love to eat there. It's in Huntington. The best
- 4:10Speaker 2: pizza anyway. The one of the Joey Patron. Luigi Patron
- 4:14Speaker 2: is the other brother. He's in News Day yesterday. Apparently
- 4:19Speaker 2: Luigi was eating at Peter Luger when a customer at
- 4:23Speaker 2: another table started choking to death. Luigi and his friend
- 4:27Speaker 2: got up and gave the guy the Heimlich maneuver. Saved
- 4:30Speaker 2: his life. I've had to do that in a restaurant.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Saved somebody's life with the Heimlich maneuver. The place where
- 4:37Speaker 2: the most dangerous is a steakhouse because when that steak
- 4:40Speaker 2: gets stuck there. But good for him. Let's go to
- 4:44Speaker 2: Greg in New Jersey, Greg, and Jersey City Greg. How
- 4:47Speaker 2: you doing?
- 4:48Speaker 3: Hey? Doing good?
- 4:49Speaker 4: Mark?
- 4:49Speaker 3: Just to correct you, the first CNM primetime host was
- 4:53Speaker 3: name was Sandy Freeman.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Oh, you're right, you're right, so I say, I said,
- 4:57Speaker 2: Sonia Friedman.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Yes, Friedman had a more show. I'm seeing that. But
- 5:01Speaker 3: Freeman was the first from eighty to eighty five. And
- 5:04Speaker 3: you were right. She did have you know, the contract
- 5:07Speaker 3: was pulled for She got you know, the details where
- 5:10Speaker 3: you know they say that hasn't greased.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Oh, I got the details from Ted Turner himself and
- 5:14Speaker 2: from Larry King. Yeah, he just said. And Larry was
- 5:17Speaker 2: thinking about it, and he said, when would I started.
- 5:19Speaker 2: It was like tomorrow. I got to get this woman
- 5:21Speaker 2: out of here, he said. He actually said, I can't
- 5:23Speaker 2: use the language. He said, I want to do it
- 5:26Speaker 2: just to screw that husband completely. So never let your
- 5:30Speaker 2: wife or your husband be your agent. It never works.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Let's go to Walker in Jersey City. Walker, how you doing.
- 5:36Speaker 5: I'm doing great? Mark. Uh you know I I just
- 5:40Speaker 5: was was thinking about Ted Turner. And when Ted Turner
- 5:45Speaker 5: was interviewed in Playboy, they questioned him because he did
- 5:49Speaker 5: not have the coverage of Reagan being shot. And it
- 5:53Speaker 5: was a great response because Ted Turner said, yeah, we
- 5:56Speaker 5: were our crew was inside covering his speech, and that's
- 5:59Speaker 5: why we didn't have him. That's why we didn't. We
- 6:02Speaker 5: weren't out there when he got shot.
- 6:04Speaker 2: And yeah, it was a very primitive network when it started. Hey,
- 6:08Speaker 2: we got to take a break for the news. We'll
- 6:11Speaker 2: take some more calls next and we got a lot
- 6:13Speaker 2: to talk about coming up. Eight hundred three two one
- 6:17Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number.
