- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Taylor, put it on the poll, please. Does the first
- 0:23Speaker 1: NFL Sunday make you dizzy? I found myself dizzy yesterday
- 0:30Speaker 1: watching all the 1 o'clock action. It's the fantasy team.
- 0:33Speaker 1: It's the gambling aspect. It's making sure you have everything set.
- 0:37Speaker 1: You've done all the chores. Your wife is going to
- 0:39Speaker 1: leave you alone for the afternoon. Sal Licata is with
- 0:42Speaker 1: us here. The Jets and Giants are both 1-0 for
- 0:45Speaker 1: the first time in I don't know how long.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Sal, how was your football weekend?
- 0:49Speaker 4: It was great, Stu.
- 0:51Speaker 5: I got the wife and kids the hell out of
- 0:55Speaker 5: the way.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I sat there yesterday and.
- 0:57Speaker 5: Watched football from 1 to 1130 with the Sunday night game.
- 1:01Speaker 1: It was glorious.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Does it make you dizzy at all, though?
- 1:06Speaker 1: Does it?
- 1:07Speaker 3: It does.
- 1:08Speaker 1: You're right.
- 1:08Speaker 5: And I got to, like, maybe you could help me
- 1:10Speaker 5: with this. I got to figure out a way because
- 1:12Speaker 5: then you get the phone as well. Like, my habit,
- 1:15Speaker 5: I think I'm addicted to the phone, but... I have
- 1:18Speaker 5: four games.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Going on at once.
- 1:20Speaker 5: You're trying to pay attention to your fantasy teams, as
- 1:22Speaker 5: you mentioned, the bets or predictions that you're making, all
- 1:25Speaker 5: these different things. Then people texting you. Your fantasy team
- 1:28Speaker 5: is on your phone, social media. So, yeah, by the
- 1:30Speaker 5: end of it, I'm spent. I got to figure out
- 1:32Speaker 5: a way to at least eliminate, I think, the phone
- 1:34Speaker 5: from the equation.
- 1:35Speaker 4: But it was great.
- 1:36Speaker 3: OK, what do you got, Taylor?
- 1:37Speaker 6: Just a quick note, Stu.
- 1:38Speaker 7: Jets and the Giants both won in week one for
- 1:41Speaker 7: the first time since 2009. And everybody knows what happened
- 1:45Speaker 7: in 2009. Jets AFC championship game.
- 1:48Speaker 1: How dare you speak like that after Mikey spent the
- 1:51Speaker 1: morning telling you do not raise the expectations of the
- 1:54Speaker 1: New York Jets. Don't do it. He doesn't want to
- 1:57Speaker 1: hear about it. I don't want to hear about it.
- 1:59Speaker 1: We're just happy with today. And today, we are 1-0
- 2:02Speaker 1: and the Patriots are 0-1. I mean, what a day
- 2:06Speaker 1: to be a New York football fan.
- 2:07Speaker 4: All the Jets did was avoid embarrassment. You've got to
- 2:12Speaker 4: be able to beat Roberts. You know what the Titans are?
- 2:14Speaker 5: The Titans are the compilation of the Jets and Giants
- 2:19Speaker 5: garbage from last year. Sala, Dable, they picked up all
- 2:23Speaker 5: these cast-offs from both losers last year to assemble their roster.
- 2:28Speaker 5: What did you think they were going to do? Good
- 2:29Speaker 5: for the Jets. I'm not trying to take away. Fans
- 2:32Speaker 5: should enjoy it. But, I mean, the Titans stink.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Yeah. You're right. They avoided embarrassment as opposed to the
- 2:39Speaker 1: Giants who went out there. They weren't going to be
- 2:42Speaker 1: embarrassed last night, but they exceeded any expectation that anyone
- 2:46Speaker 1: may have had for week one of the NFL season.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Not just beating the Cowboys, but the way they played.
- 2:52Speaker 3: was so impressive.
- 2:53Speaker 1: That is a John Harbaugh team, and for him to
- 2:56Speaker 1: have his imprint on that team so quickly, week one,
- 2:59Speaker 1: you saw it. They possessed the ball for 37 minutes, Sal.
- 3:02Speaker 1: It was amazing.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Doesn't it show you, though, Stu, how important?
- 3:06Speaker 5: We in New York have been begging, begging either team
- 3:11Speaker 5: forever to hire a real coach.
- 3:15Speaker 4: And they finally do that, and you saw a lot of.
- 3:17Speaker 5: The similar players. I mean, Dart was a rookie last year.
- 3:20Speaker 5: He's shown some signs, but Clearly, it was a totally
- 3:23Speaker 5: different feel. The fans could feel it before they even
- 3:26Speaker 5: kicked off last night at MetLife.
- 3:28Speaker 4: The energy was different.
- 3:29Speaker 5: They expected to go out there and compete, and that
- 3:31Speaker 5: is because of one man, Harbaugh. He got Jackson Dart
- 3:35Speaker 5: under center, put all the pieces in the right place,
- 3:38Speaker 5: worked these guys hard in the offseason, training them hard
- 3:41Speaker 5: the right way, discipline, accountability, and you see it play
- 3:45Speaker 5: out in week one like that. Gives me goosebumps thinking
- 3:47Speaker 5: about it. Now, I'm not saying they're going to go
- 3:48Speaker 5: to the playoffs, but, I mean, how can you not
- 3:50Speaker 5: be impressed?
- 3:51Speaker 1: I mean, it could.
- 3:52Speaker 4: I think they could win that division.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yes. But why are you so hesitant to say they're
- 3:56Speaker 1: going to go to the playoffs? I would say we
- 3:57Speaker 1: were discussing this earlier, Sal, of the fan bases who
- 4:01Speaker 1: have changed their expectations after week one. And I know
- 4:04Speaker 1: it's week one of the NFL, but this is how
- 4:07Speaker 1: fans do it. I would say that giant fan base
- 4:09Speaker 1: went in thinking their team might be OK, probably not
- 4:12Speaker 1: a playoff team to thinking, hey.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Why not us?
- 4:14Speaker 1: Why can't we win the NFC East? Why can't we
- 4:17Speaker 1: make a deep run in the playoffs?
- 4:19Speaker 5: I do think that that was the case, even if
- 4:22Speaker 5: not for just Giants fans, for national fans that were
- 4:25Speaker 5: not really taking the Giants seriously. You see that type of— Ooh, ooh,
- 4:32Speaker 5: Dak and the improved defense. That defense is an embarrassment.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Schottenheimer is an embarrassment. Now, the Cowboys will be okay,
- 4:39Speaker 5: but there's no reason to believe that the Giants, who
- 4:41Speaker 5: won already a home division game against a team that
- 4:43Speaker 5: many people picked to win that NFC East, there's no
- 4:46Speaker 5: reason the Giants can't legitimately compete in the East. The
- 4:48Speaker 5: Eagles weren't that impressive, as usual, against the Commanders. I
- 4:52Speaker 5: do think that's their best path, though. You look at
- 4:53Speaker 5: the landscape of the NFC. If the Giants don't win
- 4:55Speaker 5: the division, it's going to be hard to get a
- 4:57Speaker 5: playoff spot.
- 4:58Speaker 7: Sal, I was dragging my feet when it came to
- 5:00Speaker 7: this Giants team saying, you don't really see an overnight
- 5:03Speaker 7: change just because you bring in a coach and be
- 5:06Speaker 7: able to fix the bad football culture. But when you're
- 5:09Speaker 7: watching the Giants last night, even I had a hard
- 5:12Speaker 7: time kind of dismissing what they were doing. Even if
- 5:15Speaker 7: you don't think the Cowboys are going to amount to
- 5:17Speaker 7: much this season. The amount that Jackson Dart went out
- 5:21Speaker 7: there and was able to impress, the amount that the
- 5:23Speaker 7: Giants were able to establish themselves both on the offensive
- 5:26Speaker 7: and defensive line, I do think that was probably the
- 5:29Speaker 7: biggest statement from Week 1.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Oh, it was incredible. And what I would say, Stu,
- 5:33Speaker 5: to your point before, like, why can't the Giants?
- 5:36Speaker 4: Well, they could.
- 5:38Speaker 5: If Jackson Dart is that guy, I think that's the difference.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Taylor talked about it. Inside the trenches, they're pretty good.
- 5:44Speaker 5: They stopped the run yesterday. They have pieces all over
- 5:45Speaker 5: the place on defense as far as the linebackers goes.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Getting the pass rusher, offensive line improved, running backs, wide receivers,
- 5:51Speaker 5: tight end, Isaiah likely good. The difference is, and I
- 5:55Speaker 5: was actually talking about this with Francesa last week, your guy,
- 5:58Speaker 5: the difference is if they're going to be legit, It's
- 6:02Speaker 5: got to be Jackson Dart. And based on what we
- 6:04Speaker 5: saw so far, there is reason to believe he could
- 6:07Speaker 5: really take a next step in year two.
- 6:10Speaker 1: How does that conversation work? Is that an off-air conversation,
- 6:13Speaker 1: you and Mike? Like, you call him on the phone.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You guys are just talking, chopping up giants.
- 6:17Speaker 3: What are you doing there?
- 6:18Speaker 4: No, he has me on as a guest every Friday,
- 6:21Speaker 4: I think.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I mean, I think.
- 6:22Speaker 4: We did it last Friday.
- 6:24Speaker 3: You're not certain there's going to be a next Friday
- 6:26Speaker 3: is what you're saying here?
- 6:27Speaker 4: I am hesitant. No, he said yes, but, you know.
- 6:30Speaker 3: You never know.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 6:32Speaker 4: You never know where life is going to take us.
- 6:33Speaker 5: So we were having that conversation with expectations for the Giants,
- 6:36Speaker 5: and that's what it came down to.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Jackson Dart. I could see, I could hear Mike saying
- 6:41Speaker 3: it to you.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Yes.
- 6:42Speaker 5: And I was saying, like, I said, Mike, this is
- 6:46Speaker 5: going to be the difference. Whether you think he could
- 6:47Speaker 5: or can't, it doesn't matter. But, like, that's going to
- 6:51Speaker 5: be the difference. And he, well, I mean, he said
- 6:54Speaker 5: he didn't think that he would take that next step.
- 6:55Speaker 5: There was a lot of question about him under center.
- 6:59Speaker 5: That's the big deal, out of the shotgun under center.
- 7:01Speaker 5: But for one week so far, so far so good
- 7:04Speaker 5: for Jackson Dart and the Giants.
- 7:06Speaker 7: How do you imagine Brian Dable Sunday went yesterday? Because
- 7:09Speaker 7: he gets embarrassed by the Jets where his offense with
- 7:11Speaker 7: Cam Ward, a former number one pick, struggles to move
- 7:15Speaker 7: the ball up and down the field. And he's thinking, OK,
- 7:17Speaker 7: this day can't get any worse. And he sits down
- 7:19Speaker 7: to watch Sunday night football and watches a Giants team
- 7:22Speaker 7: he used to coach all of a sudden look like
- 7:24Speaker 7: a competent football team.
- 7:25Speaker 8: Taylor.
- 7:26Speaker 5: There's no way Brian Dable sat down to watch Sunday
- 7:30Speaker 5: Night Football.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I hope he didn't.
- 7:32Speaker 4: You think he's watching football? Yes.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I mean, he's a football coach. Yes. Of course he's
- 7:37Speaker 1: watching football.
- 7:39Speaker 2: No, wait.
- 7:39Speaker 4: These guys want them.
- 7:40Speaker 5: If you're a football coach, the last thing you want
- 7:43Speaker 5: to do when you get home. I remember having this
- 7:44Speaker 5: conversation once. I was doing games for Columbia years ago.
- 7:47Speaker 5: And I was having a conversation with the Columbia head coach.
- 7:50Speaker 5: And I'm like, oh, you're going to go. There was
- 7:52Speaker 5: a play on Broadway, the Lombardi play. And I'm like, oh,
- 7:54Speaker 5: you're going to go see the play. He's like, Sal,
- 7:57Speaker 5: you think on a free night my wife wants to
- 7:59Speaker 5: come with me to the city to go watch Lombardi
- 8:02Speaker 5: on Broadway? And in that moment, I was like, oh, yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 5: that's right. Like, this is a job for you. And
- 8:08Speaker 5: you probably want to escape. If Brian Dable, who got
- 8:10Speaker 5: his rear end kicked in by the Jets and fired
- 8:13Speaker 5: by the Giants, is sitting there eating popcorn and pizza
- 8:16Speaker 5: locked in a Sunday.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Night football, I would be stunned.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I am told.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Hold on. This is amazing. I didn't realize there was
- 8:23Speaker 1: a counterpoint to this, but Taylor has one. Go ahead. Counterpoint.
- 8:27Speaker 7: So next Sunday, the Titans play the Eagles. Two Sundays
- 8:30Speaker 7: from now, they make the trip to MetLife against the Giants.
- 8:34Speaker 7: So I think Dable might have been doing a little pre-scouting.
- 8:38Speaker 4: I mean, I'd love to find it. Stu, you don't
- 8:39Speaker 4: have contact for Dayball?
- 8:41Speaker 5: See if Joe Shane can maybe dial it up and
- 8:42Speaker 5: find out if we know if he was watching that
- 8:44Speaker 5: game or not.
- 8:44Speaker 4: And that's what Film Room is for. Sunday night, you
- 8:47Speaker 4: get home, you spend time with the family, watch a movie.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Yes, I have his number.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Would you like me to text Brian Dayball and ask
- 8:53Speaker 1: him if he sat down and watched the game? Tell
- 8:55Speaker 1: me how you would like me to word this text.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I'm going to send it to him, okay? Hey, Coach.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Got to start with Big Dog.
- 9:01Speaker 6: Hey, Big Dog.
- 9:02Speaker 5: Yeah, whatever you call him. It's a simple question. We're
- 9:05Speaker 5: not putting him on the spot here. Did you watch... Well,
- 9:08Speaker 5: I mean, I guess that could be. Now that I
- 9:10Speaker 5: think about it, Sue, you've got to be careful there
- 9:11Speaker 5: because it's the Giants. So if you say, did you
- 9:13Speaker 5: watch that game? It could be like you're trolling him
- 9:15Speaker 5: a little bit. You don't want to go there.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Right.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Yes.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I'm going to say, listen, we had a conversation on air.
- 9:19Speaker 1: It's me and Sal Licata, and we just wanted to
- 9:22Speaker 1: know if you sat down to watch the Giant game.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Sitting down to watch the game is very important. That's all. Thanks,
- 9:28Speaker 1: big dog.
- 9:29Speaker 5: Maybe leave my name out of it just in case.
- 9:32Speaker 4: You never know what I said about him on the
- 9:34Speaker 4: fan years ago.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Yeah, well, we had him on the show.
- 9:38Speaker 3: He likes us. He'll respond, okay? Why are you doing
- 9:41Speaker 3: Big Dog?
- 9:41Speaker 1: Why am I starting with Big Dog? Is it like
- 9:44Speaker 1: a term of affection? Like we know each other? Like, hey, buddy.
- 9:48Speaker 6: Listen, somebody calls you Big Dog and you want to
- 9:50Speaker 6: answer them. That goes back to Billy Gill.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Okay, put it on the poll, Taylor. If somebody calls
- 9:55Speaker 1: you Big Dog, do you feel the need to answer them?
- 9:57Speaker 7: When you guys are watching the Titans- yesterday and seeing
- 10:01Speaker 7: how bad Cam Ward looked at the quarterback position, I
- 10:04Speaker 7: know it's week one, but his rookie season wasn't the
- 10:07Speaker 7: most impressive thing in the world.
- 10:09Speaker 6: Is there a world where.
- 10:10Speaker 7: cam ward disappoints so much this season that the titans
- 10:14Speaker 7: then get into this upcoming quarterback conversation this this 2027
- 10:19Speaker 7: nfl draft if they're picking high enough i don't.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Know if cam ward is good he was the number
- 10:23Speaker 1: one pick in the draft and he can't just be
- 10:25Speaker 1: good he needs to be great and i'm not certain
- 10:28Speaker 1: he's ever going to arrive at great i don't know
- 10:30Speaker 1: if that's a product of him being on the tennessee
- 10:31Speaker 1: titans i don't know what it is but he has
- 10:34Speaker 1: had i think 17 18 starts now in the nfl
- 10:36Speaker 1: and And they've been just about average, every single one
- 10:40Speaker 1: of them, or below average. I can't recall a great
- 10:43Speaker 1: Cam Ward game since he took over as Tennessee quarterback.
- 10:46Speaker 5: But I do feel like, unfortunately, I know fans don't
- 10:50Speaker 5: want to be, but we might have to be patient. Also,
- 10:52Speaker 5: isn't that, I mean, back to Dable here, isn't that
- 10:54Speaker 5: his job? Dable was supposed to be one of these
- 10:57Speaker 5: quarterback whispers. which I don't believe in that, but still,
- 11:00Speaker 5: he did it with Josh Allen. That's why he got
- 11:02Speaker 5: hired with the Giants. The stuff he did with Jackson Dart,
- 11:05Speaker 5: I'll give you twofold. One, Dart looked better last night
- 11:08Speaker 5: than he ever did with Brian Dable, with Harbaugh and
- 11:11Speaker 5: Nagy and Roman.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Two, Cam Ward didn't look very good in his first game.
- 11:16Speaker 5: So that to me is a big part of why
- 11:18Speaker 5: the Titans would hire a guy like Brian Dable to
- 11:19Speaker 5: make the most out of Cam Ward. I would be
- 11:21Speaker 5: a little more patient, me personally, before writing him off.
- 11:25Speaker 7: Now, where I would push back there, those Titans baby
- 11:29Speaker 7: blue uniforms, the only thing I kept thinking about during
- 11:31Speaker 7: that game, Arch Manning would look so good.
- 11:34Speaker 1: In one of these uniforms. Yes, he would.
- 11:35Speaker 4: You think they're going to be worse than the Dolphins?
- 11:40Speaker 6: They could be in the conversation.
- 11:41Speaker 7: If this Titans team with Robert Sala is picking in
- 11:44Speaker 7: the top three, Sal, I don't think anybody could be
- 11:47Speaker 7: that surprised.
- 11:47Speaker 2: No.
- 11:48Speaker 5: No, I mean, they stink, but just Miami, I don't
- 11:50Speaker 5: know if they're going to win a game after what
- 11:52Speaker 5: we saw from that. And you're going to go from Ward.
- 11:54Speaker 5: So then they just hired it. I'm not saying it
- 11:56Speaker 5: can't happen. We've seen it happen before with Arizona. You're
- 11:59Speaker 5: going to fire Robert Sala, who you should never hire
- 12:01Speaker 5: to begin with, fire him and then move on from Cam.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Ward after just two years where you had two different
- 12:06Speaker 4: head coaches?
- 12:07Speaker 1: No, the key to doing that is you have to
- 12:08Speaker 1: keep Salah as the head coach and he could say
- 12:10Speaker 1: Cam Moore was not the quarterback I drafted. I didn't
- 12:12Speaker 1: want that quarterback. I just wanted to coach the Tennessee Titans, right?
- 12:16Speaker 6: Buy yourself a couple more years.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Yes, you buy yourself. Exactly right.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Sal, if it were me and I ran an NFL team,
- 12:22Speaker 1: I'd draft a quarterback every year until I got it right.
- 12:24Speaker 1: It's the most important position in sports. I mean, why not?
- 12:27Speaker 5: Since we're in the business of countering today, here's my
- 12:30Speaker 5: counter to that. More important than drafting QBs is setting
- 12:35Speaker 5: them up to succeed. We could all think Cam Ward stinks.
- 12:38Speaker 5: We could say he's good. Some of us could differ.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Do you think the Titans so far have put Cam
- 12:44Speaker 5: Ward in a position to succeed?
- 12:48Speaker 1: No, probably not.
- 12:50Speaker 2: No.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Right. But I don't know if camp. But again, so
- 12:53Speaker 1: the great quarterbacks. Right. At least for me, the great
- 12:55Speaker 1: quarterbacks are going to come in, walk into any situation
- 12:59Speaker 1: and make that situation by themselves going to make it
- 13:02Speaker 1: better because they are that talented. They are that good.
- 13:05Speaker 1: The Bengals, a disaster forever. They draft Joe Burrow and
- 13:09Speaker 1: suddenly the Bengals become relevant. You know what I'm saying?
- 13:12Speaker 3: Oh, I get it.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I think if you're a great quarterback, you'll make
- 13:15Speaker 1: any situation work, and Cam Ward has not made this
- 13:18Speaker 1: situation work. If you put Joe Burrow on the Tennessee Titans,
- 13:23Speaker 1: you think they're a good team? I do. I do.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Well, I think they're better. I don't know how good
- 13:28Speaker 5: they would be, but I definitely think they're better. But
- 13:30Speaker 5: also I'm looking at a young quarterback who, you know,
- 13:33Speaker 5: maybe it's going to take him a little bit extra time,
- 13:36Speaker 5: was not set up to succeed last year. We'll find
- 13:38Speaker 5: out about being set up to succeed this year. I'm
- 13:41Speaker 5: not so sure that that's going to be the case.
- 13:42Speaker 5: And then my question would be, Stu, okay, I respect it.
- 13:45Speaker 5: Draft a quarterback until you get it right. How do
- 13:48Speaker 5: you know? I mean, the Jets drafted Sam Darnold. It
- 13:51Speaker 5: wasn't until many years later where we won a Super
- 13:53Speaker 5: Bowl with another team.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Yes.
- 13:56Speaker 1: The way I know is if the Jets drafted you,
- 13:58Speaker 1: you're not going to be any good. With them.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Somewhere else.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Unless he comes back.
- 14:07Speaker 7: If he finds his way back to the roster, all
- 14:09Speaker 7: of a sudden, Geno Smith. I'm watching Geno Smith. Like, man,
- 14:11Speaker 7: I've never felt these feelings about Geno Smith ever before.
- 14:14Speaker 1: The same. And he started like 90 games for us. Yeah.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of stew gods and
- 14:22Speaker 2: company live weekdays at 3 p.m eastern 12 p.m pacific
- 14:27Speaker 2: on fox sports radio and the iheart radio app you guys.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Play that open i went five and one still you
- 14:34Speaker 1: guys this week i mean.
- 14:37Speaker 3: How'd you do in college uh not so well.
- 14:40Speaker 1: And what was your loss in the nfl uh the
- 14:43Speaker 1: chargers Oh, go ahead.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Taylor set that up perfectly.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Sal, your thoughts on Justin Herbert, who has been a,
- 14:53Speaker 1: you know, a topic of discussion here on God bless football.
- 14:57Speaker 3: We're all tired of him.
- 14:58Speaker 1: We're sick of everyone telling us how great he is
- 15:00Speaker 1: heading to every NFL season. Sal. The floor is yours.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Okay, I appreciate that. Thank you, guys. First, let me
- 15:07Speaker 4: preface this by saying I'm really mad at myself.
- 15:11Speaker 5: So I'm going to say some things that are not
- 15:13Speaker 5: too kind to Justin Herbert here, but really it's more
- 15:16Speaker 5: mad at myself for getting in a bed with the
- 15:19Speaker 5: lousy Chargers and Herbert who do.
- 15:21Speaker 4: The same thing every single year.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Now, I wanted to ignore Herbert and say because of Harbaugh,
- 15:29Speaker 5: I trust that the– I hate picking favorites, whether it
- 15:33Speaker 5: be in a survivor pool, whether it be the spread, whatever.
- 15:36Speaker 5: I never pick favorites. But week one, I'm like, I
- 15:38Speaker 5: like the Chargers because of Harbaugh. How are they going
- 15:41Speaker 5: to lose to the Cardinals? They were one of the
- 15:42Speaker 5: worst teams last year. And then you watch the game
- 15:45Speaker 5: and you see Jacoby Brissett significantly outplaying big bad Justin Herbert,
- 15:51Speaker 5: who can't move and is eight feet tall and yet
- 15:54Speaker 5: still throws the ball directly into the defensive lineman's hands.
- 15:58Speaker 5: What is wrong with this guy? I don't understand. But
- 16:02Speaker 5: enough about Justin Herbert. I think if Harbaugh wants to win,
- 16:05Speaker 5: he's going to have to find himself another quarterback in
- 16:08Speaker 5: Los Angeles.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Really? And now Herbert's out of excuses because Mike McDaniel
- 16:11Speaker 1: was the guy who was going to boost him up.
- 16:13Speaker 1: And Mike McDaniel appears. I love doing this. They played
- 16:16Speaker 1: one game, a single game. And maybe Mike McDaniel will
- 16:20Speaker 1: do that. But I don't care. That's how fans react.
- 16:22Speaker 1: We react based off of one week. And I'll do
- 16:25Speaker 1: the same thing next week. And if he has a
- 16:26Speaker 1: great game next week, perhaps I'll say he's figured it out.
- 16:29Speaker 1: But as of today, Justin Herbert, for me, I'm with you, Sal,
- 16:32Speaker 1: the most overrated quarterback in the NFL.
- 16:34Speaker 5: But it's not just one week with him. With McDaniels, yes.
- 16:37Speaker 5: And I would expect the offense to be better, running
- 16:39Speaker 5: the football, all those different things. They'll play a much— I
- 16:42Speaker 5: would hope.
- 16:42Speaker 4: I mean, they played a lousy game. It wasn't just him.
- 16:44Speaker 5: They've got to clean some things up, and I trust
- 16:47Speaker 5: Harbaugh and his staff to do that. But with Herbert still,
- 16:49Speaker 5: even when he's at his best, there's just something off
- 16:52Speaker 5: there with this guy. I don't know what it is exactly.
- 16:56Speaker 5: He's got the physical traits. I don't think we're ever
- 16:58Speaker 5: going to see him turn into, let's say, Matthew Stafford.
- 17:00Speaker 5: I don't think that's happening with Herbert.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Yes, you're right about the physical traits.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Like if you put all the quarterbacks in a room
- 17:06Speaker 1: and just ask like a GM or a coach, hey,
- 17:09Speaker 1: just based on physical appearance, go choose your quarterback for
- 17:12Speaker 1: the next 10 years. A lot of those guys are
- 17:14Speaker 1: walking out with Justin Herbert because he looks the part.
- 17:17Speaker 3: There's no doubt about it. What do you have, Taylor?
- 17:20Speaker 7: Sal, I was just going to ask you, how do
- 17:21Speaker 7: you feel about this headline from two days ago? It
- 17:23Speaker 7: was Jim Harbaugh, and he said, Justin Herbert will be
- 17:26Speaker 7: remembered as the greatest quarterback ever.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Ever.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Yeah. He's clearly trying to gas up his own guy.
- 17:33Speaker 5: Look, Harbaugh, he's going to attach his wagon to Justin Herbert.
- 17:38Speaker 5: He's going to be looking for another. He'll be going
- 17:39Speaker 5: back to Michigan if that's going to be the case.
- 17:41Speaker 5: They cannot win with Justin Herbert.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Enough.
- 17:45Speaker 5: It's year two with Harbaugh there, right, with the Chargers.
- 17:48Speaker 5: He should be better than what he seemed. Is it
- 17:50Speaker 5: year two or is it year three?
- 17:51Speaker 4: I get them all mixed up. But either way, he
- 17:52Speaker 4: should be better by now.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Yes. Yes.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Harbaugh and Herbert.
- 17:56Speaker 3: They should both be better by now. Well, I still
- 17:59Speaker 3: love Harbaugh, Stu.
- 18:00Speaker 5: But if he's going to tell us with a straight
- 18:02Speaker 5: face that Herbert is that good. Hey, this guy won
- 18:05Speaker 5: games with Colin Kaepernick years ago. You're telling me Justin
- 18:09Speaker 5: Herbert can't do anything good here? It's been too long.
- 18:12Speaker 5: He's got to be better than what he's been with
- 18:14Speaker 5: the tools that he possesses. There's no reason for the
- 18:17Speaker 5: Chargers to continue to play the same type.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Games over and over again. He's got a cannon.
- 18:22Speaker 5: He's a physical specimen as far as being the size
- 18:24Speaker 5: and the strength and all that stuff. He just is.
- 18:27Speaker 5: I just don't think he's very good. I think he's
- 18:29Speaker 5: the most overrated quarterback that we've seen in a while.
- 18:32Speaker 7: Yeah, this is year three for Harbaugh. They went 11-6
- 18:34Speaker 7: 2024 and then 11-6 2025. So what's the next step
- 18:36Speaker 7: being taken? Like it's the same stuff.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Yes. Well, it's not going to be taken if Justin
- 18:44Speaker 1: Herbert's this quarterback is what you're saying, right? Yes. He
- 18:48Speaker 1: needs to find a new one. How exactly are they
- 18:51Speaker 1: going to find the new one? They just signed Herbert
- 18:53Speaker 1: to a big deal. Like he's stuck with them. They're
- 18:56Speaker 1: saddled together. That's it.
- 18:57Speaker 4: I mean, it's a problem.
- 18:59Speaker 5: Now, I trust Harbaugh more than I would trust myself to,
- 19:02Speaker 5: you know. Notice a good football player or not, but
- 19:05Speaker 5: just the way that he performs, he's got, okay, he
- 19:09Speaker 5: may have the tools and he may have a cannon.
- 19:11Speaker 4: How about a little bit.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Of touch, dude?
- 19:13Speaker 4: He's throwing laser beams all over the field.
- 19:15Speaker 3: There's zero.
- 19:16Speaker 4: Taylor, you're a receiver. There's zero touch there. There seems
- 19:19Speaker 4: to be zero feel for the game. Just something is
- 19:22Speaker 4: off with this guy.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 19:25Speaker 8: It seems to me you you mentioned like harbaugh knows
- 19:28Speaker 8: what he's looking at better than we do it seems
- 19:30Speaker 8: to me like everybody who's supposed to be in the
- 19:32Speaker 8: know loves justin herbert but every time we watch it
- 19:35Speaker 8: we're like this is what it is this is what
- 19:37Speaker 8: where everybody's fawning over who's supposed to know what they're
- 19:40Speaker 8: looking at because every time i watch justin herbert i'm
- 19:43Speaker 8: like he's okay right same with trevor lawrence i put
- 19:46Speaker 8: them in the same category where they get oh you
- 19:49Speaker 8: have to see the way he releases the ball and
- 19:51Speaker 8: everything he sees.
- 19:53Speaker 6: But it never translates.
- 19:54Speaker 8: It never translates to wins on the field like that.
- 19:57Speaker 4: But you could be seeing Lawrence now, and I'm not
- 19:59Speaker 4: going to overreact to week.
- 20:00Speaker 5: One, but last year with Liam Cohen, they were very good.
- 20:03Speaker 5: And then in week one this year, an eye-opening performance.
- 20:07Speaker 5: When Lawrence was coming out, it was supposed to be, oh,
- 20:09Speaker 5: my God, he's going to be the next best thing
- 20:11Speaker 5: since Peyton Manning. It didn't happen. But now we're seeing
- 20:13Speaker 5: the progression. Where is the progression with Justin Herbert?
- 20:17Speaker 7: The opposite end of that spectrum that you just mentioned, Mikey,
- 20:20Speaker 7: where everybody props up Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence, the
- 20:25Speaker 7: opposite end of that is Jalen Hurts because Jalen Hurts,
- 20:28Speaker 7: people pick apart his game left and right.
- 20:31Speaker 1: I don't.
- 20:31Speaker 6: And then every time you watch.
- 20:32Speaker 7: The Eagles, it's like, oh, wait, the Eagles just won,
- 20:36Speaker 7: and Jalen Hurts is winning another Super Bowl.
- 20:38Speaker 3: All he does is win.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Listen, one day I'll get to side-by-side comparisons of the
- 20:42Speaker 1: last four years of Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes.
- 20:45Speaker 5: I will.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I'll get to it and show you that Jalen Hurts
- 20:47Speaker 1: has been a better quarterback than Patrick Mahomes over the
- 20:50Speaker 1: last four seasons in the NFL. Or you guys can
- 20:53Speaker 1: look it up yourselves and save me the work. I mean,
- 20:58Speaker 1: I'm good. Dan, where are you on Jalen Hurts? He's
- 21:02Speaker 1: a winner.
- 21:02Speaker 3: That guy.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I would love for that guy to be my quarterback.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Although if he were the Jets quarterback, we'd be losers.
- 21:08Speaker 9: Jalen hurts i'm fine with um he's a winner i
- 21:13Speaker 9: don't know if they're going to win big this year
- 21:15Speaker 9: but he does win football games yesterday three touchdown passes
- 21:19Speaker 9: i think he just uh you know clipped 200 yards
- 21:23Speaker 9: in what he did but when they needed a score
- 21:25Speaker 9: to answer after what washington did finds dallas goddard and
- 21:28Speaker 9: the rest is history so it didn't look like they
- 21:30Speaker 9: missed aj brown yesterday so I have no problems with
- 21:33Speaker 9: Jalen Hurts.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I've never had really problems with Jalen Hurts.
- 21:36Speaker 3: The problem that I would have, though. How about that?
- 21:38Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Sorry, Seth.
- 21:39Speaker 5: If you move, Stu, you gave me this one before,
- 21:41Speaker 5: but if you put what we're talking about, Cam Ward
- 21:44Speaker 5: and Patrick Mahomes or whatever it was, if you put
- 21:46Speaker 5: Jalen Hurts on the Titans or the Browns or whatever,
- 21:51Speaker 5: is he going to elevate them the way that the
- 21:54Speaker 5: great quarterbacks would elevate a franchise?
- 21:57Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 21:58Speaker 3: It's a great question. Probably not.
- 22:00Speaker 1: They have a great defense, great offensive line, running game
- 22:04Speaker 1: with Saquon Barkley. They've had wide receivers. They still have
- 22:07Speaker 1: wide receivers. I'm not certain if you put Hurts on
- 22:10Speaker 1: a team like the Titans that the Titans automatically become good.
- 22:13Speaker 3: In fact, my guess is no.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's kind of the point.
- 22:17Speaker 5: I mean, maybe the Titans are an extreme, but even
- 22:19Speaker 5: if you put him on a mediocre team, would he
- 22:21Speaker 5: have as much success?
- 22:22Speaker 4: And I'm not trying to knock her. I like him.
- 22:24Speaker 4: I just don't. I've never watched him once and thought
- 22:27Speaker 4: to myself, wow.
- 22:29Speaker 5: This guy is that type level. He's done that type winning,
- 22:33Speaker 5: but I don't think he's that type level.
- 22:35Speaker 1: But that's on us. I mean, he's outplayed Patrick Mahomes
- 22:37Speaker 1: in not one but two Super Bowls. I mean, he did.
- 22:39Speaker 5: Right, but again, don't you think that that's more what's
- 22:42Speaker 5: around him as opposed to him versus Mahomes?
- 22:46Speaker 1: Perhaps. Mahomes had some good people around him as well.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I mean, so... And listen, Mahomes won one of those games.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I'm just saying Hurts outplayed him in that game. What
- 22:54Speaker 1: do you have, Dan?
- 22:54Speaker 9: Are the Philadelphia Eagles unstoppable if Justin Herbert's their quarterback?
- 22:59Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Are the Falcons unstoppable if Justin Herbert's the quarterback?
- 23:02Speaker 9: The reason I say that is because, listen, I think
- 23:05Speaker 9: that there's only a certain amount of people that we're
- 23:07Speaker 9: going to look at and talk about, like the greatness
- 23:09Speaker 9: of quarterbacks. I don't think that Jalen Hurts is one
- 23:12Speaker 9: of those guys. I think he works for Philadelphia and, yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 9: has probably the best offensive line any team in the
- 23:17Speaker 9: NFL has had over the last five years or whatever
- 23:20Speaker 9: it's been. So there are obviously pluses with it. But
- 23:23Speaker 9: I think Justin Herbert, to kind of go back to
- 23:25Speaker 9: that conversation, we're looking at Justin Herbert as that quarterback
- 23:30Speaker 9: that is a generational or one that we're going to
- 23:33Speaker 9: talk about like we did with Breeze, Manning, Brady, Roethlisberger, Rivers.
- 23:37Speaker 9: And he's not even to that point just yet. I
- 23:39Speaker 9: don't know if we can put Jalen Hurts or if
- 23:41Speaker 9: we ever will put him in that quarterback conversation again.
- 23:44Speaker 9: you know, with some of the greats. But I feel
- 23:46Speaker 9: like Justin Herbert felt like he was being fast-tracked to
- 23:49Speaker 9: that conversation and has been stuck in neutral for, like,
- 23:52Speaker 9: the last couple of years.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Yes.
- 23:54Speaker 7: So, Dan, I don't know how Justin Herbert would look
- 23:56Speaker 7: on the Eagles, but what I do know is that
- 23:58Speaker 7: Dan Orlovsky would be caping up for Justin Herbert, telling
- 24:01Speaker 7: us that it was going to be the greatest thing.
- 24:02Speaker 6: He's ever seen since sliced bread.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Orlovsky and Harbaugh.
- 24:08Speaker 7: Yeah, and the second they lose, it's like, oh, the Eagles'
- 24:10Speaker 7: offensive line is actually not as good as you think
- 24:12Speaker 7: they are.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Yes, Al.
- 24:15Speaker 5: No, what we talk about, well, was Cam Ward or
- 24:18Speaker 5: is Cam Ward in a position to succeed? I do
- 24:20Speaker 5: believe Herbert now with Harbaugh, especially with McDaniels, he is
- 24:26Speaker 5: in a position to succeed. But three years now, or
- 24:30Speaker 5: this is year three, as you said before— with him
- 24:32Speaker 5: under Harbaugh, I.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Just don't see it. I need to see. I see
- 24:36Speaker 4: a strong arm. I see a big body.
- 24:39Speaker 5: I don't see a winning quarterback that can make big throws,
- 24:43Speaker 5: that can put touch on the football when needed. I
- 24:46Speaker 5: just don't see it from Herbert. And when you compare that,
- 24:50Speaker 5: it's all relative to the expectations. The expectations were through
- 24:52Speaker 5: the roof for him. I'm not even seeing a mediocre
- 24:55Speaker 5: quarterback with Justin Herbert at this point.
- 24:57Speaker 1: All right, let's get to Taylor's winners and losers from
- 25:00Speaker 1: a week one here in the NFL. Give me the music.
- 25:03Speaker 1: How about that?
- 25:10Speaker 3: What do you got, Taylor?
- 25:11Speaker 6: My first winner.
- 25:13Speaker 7: Josh Allen, because I don't think we're talking enough today
- 25:16Speaker 7: about how much he got bailed out with Kamari Lasseter
- 25:20Speaker 7: dropping that pick in the end zone where Josh Allen
- 25:22Speaker 7: throws that ball up and everybody's like, whoa, that's the
- 25:25Speaker 7: only thing you can't do in that situation.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Yes, it reminded me a few years ago, if you
- 25:29Speaker 1: remember Stafford on his Super Bowl run, just threw a
- 25:33Speaker 1: duck up at the air and someone on Tampa should
- 25:36Speaker 1: have picked it off and the game would have been
- 25:37Speaker 1: over and Stafford never wins a Super Bowl. He dropped it.
- 25:40Speaker 3: We forget those plays all the time, man.
- 25:43Speaker 8: I know that they're professionals and I know they always
- 25:45Speaker 8: do that.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Oh, we'll pick each other up.
- 25:47Speaker 6: And it's not about one guy.
- 25:48Speaker 4: It's one flight.
- 25:49Speaker 1: But if you're on the Texans, you got.
- 25:50Speaker 8: To be looking at Lassiter different today, right?
- 25:52Speaker 6: He was terrible.
- 25:52Speaker 1: You got to just be looking at him side. I'd
- 25:54Speaker 1: just be like, you know, you cost us the game.
- 25:59Speaker 1: What exactly are you saying here? That the Texans are
- 26:03Speaker 1: looking at him now?
- 26:03Speaker 8: He's probably the most hated person in the locker room
- 26:06Speaker 8: right now, and nobody will say it because they're all
- 26:08Speaker 8: going to be good professionals and good teammates, but everybody.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Hates him tonight. Taylor, put it on the poll. Do
- 26:12Speaker 1: the Texans secretly and quietly hate Lassiter?
- 26:16Speaker 6: My biggest loser today. Father time.
- 26:20Speaker 7: Derek Henry is absolutely whooping father time right now. Derek
- 26:23Speaker 7: Henry finishes 24 carries 144 yards and three touchdowns.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Father time is undefeated.
- 26:29Speaker 6: Not anymore.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Not anymore.
- 26:31Speaker 4: How old is he?
- 26:32Speaker 1: Henry?
- 26:32Speaker 7: He's always looked old, but he's 32, but in running
- 26:36Speaker 7: back years, that's like 65.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Right. Yeah.
- 26:38Speaker 8: It's not like he doesn't have low mileage on those
- 26:41Speaker 8: 32 years.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Is he any years old? He George years.
- 26:46Speaker 7: He's my Honda civic with 300,000 miles on it.
- 26:49Speaker 6: Chugging along.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Is he third all time and touchdowns that for running
- 26:53Speaker 1: backs third, I think Derek, Edward.
- 26:56Speaker 6: My next winner.
- 26:57Speaker 7: We're staying in the AFC north, the bangles. I think
- 27:00Speaker 7: the bangles have a complete roster.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Oh, do you?
- 27:04Speaker 4: Saying that finally the defense with sexy.
- 27:06Speaker 7: Decks yeah i like and boy mafe that they got
- 27:10Speaker 7: from the seahawks a lot of guys that they got
- 27:12Speaker 7: this offseason made an instant impact in week one.
- 27:15Speaker 8: Yeah taylor this is just for you and we can
- 27:18Speaker 8: put it on the poll if you want well stew
- 27:19Speaker 8: gots his head explode if it's joe burrow versus caleb williams.
- 27:23Speaker 1: In the super bowl that's a win-win it really is
- 27:25Speaker 1: okay I take it over the jets.
- 27:28Speaker 7: They'll be floating that week at radio row. My two guys,
- 27:35Speaker 7: my next biggest loser, Stefan digs. No Stefan digs has
- 27:44Speaker 7: a redemption where, where he scores a touchdown and they're
- 27:47Speaker 7: down by two. And I don't think this costs them
- 27:51Speaker 7: the game because there was so much game left after it.
- 27:54Speaker 7: But Stefan Diggs scoring and then doing the celebration where
- 27:57Speaker 7: he goes and hugs the goalposts and immediately getting flagged.
- 28:00Speaker 7: It's like we brought you here to the commanders to
- 28:03Speaker 7: kind of be the adult in the room at the
- 28:05Speaker 7: receiver position.
- 28:06Speaker 1: He never is.
- 28:07Speaker 7: Yeah, you can't bring Stefan Diggs when you need an
- 28:10Speaker 7: adult in the room.
- 28:13Speaker 8: Just remember the commanders were trying to get Brandon Ayuk
- 28:16Speaker 8: and they've settled for Stefan Diggs.
- 28:18Speaker 6: Maybe they don't know what an adult in the room
- 28:20Speaker 6: looks like.
- 28:22Speaker 4: What an idiotic, selfish penalty by Diggs. But is anybody surprised?
- 28:27Speaker 6: A clear situation where you need to go for.
- 28:28Speaker 5: Two, and he's selfishly hugging the pole, sliding down it
- 28:31Speaker 5: like a fire pole.
- 28:32Speaker 4: I mean, come on.
- 28:33Speaker 7: And he was walking back to the sideline after like, yeah,
- 28:36Speaker 7: but the touchdown was pretty cool, guys, right?
- 28:37Speaker 1: That's all he cares about.
- 28:41Speaker 6: My next winner. One more winner, one more loser.
- 28:44Speaker 1: All right.
- 28:45Speaker 7: Last winner, Justin Jefferson. Eight catches, 92 yards, two touchdowns.
- 28:52Speaker 7: It's always a mess, that Minnesota quarterback room.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Yep.
- 28:55Speaker 7: But every once in a while, Justin Jefferson kind of
- 28:57Speaker 7: reminds everybody, like, don't forget about me when you're talking
- 29:00Speaker 7: about who's the best wide receiver.
- 29:02Speaker 6: In the NFL.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Yep. He made Carson Wentz look good. He did.
- 29:08Speaker 6: My last loser.
- 29:10Speaker 5: Yep.
- 29:11Speaker 6: Browns fans. That game was over.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Yes.
- 29:15Speaker 7: Within the first two drives. And it's like all Browns
- 29:18Speaker 7: fans got into or went into week one saying, we
- 29:21Speaker 7: know what this team is going to be. We know
- 29:22Speaker 7: what Deshaun Watson is going to look like week one.
- 29:24Speaker 7: Why are we even playing Deshaun Watson? And the Browns
- 29:26Speaker 7: are like, no, this is Deshaun Watson's redemption story. Oh,
- 29:29Speaker 7: so much for that redemption story. Shador Sanders is going
- 29:31Speaker 7: to be starting by week three.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Right.
- 29:33Speaker 1: But they're getting Deshaun starts over with before they go home.
- 29:35Speaker 5: And you hear Monken today doubling down on it.
- 29:39Speaker 4: My God, I do feel bad for Browns fans. There
- 29:42Speaker 4: is no hope.
- 29:42Speaker 5: With that guy as the head coach sticking with that
- 29:45Speaker 5: guy as the quarterback, that's a wrap on this year
- 29:47Speaker 5: and probably next year too.
- 29:49Speaker 1: You wait your entire life to get a head coaching
- 29:51Speaker 1: job and you put your trust in Deshaun Watson.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Good decision like five years ago. Yeah, Mikey.
- 29:58Speaker 6: If you want to.
- 29:59Speaker 8: Beat the traffic coming home from a Browns stadium, you
- 30:01Speaker 8: have to stay the whole game.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Is that how you beat the traffic?
- 30:05Speaker 3: Put it on the pole.
- 30:07Speaker 1: To beat the traffic in Cleveland after a Browns game,
- 30:10Speaker 1: do you have to stay until the final whistle?
- 30:14Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Gatz and
- 30:17Speaker 2: Company live weekdays at 3 p.m.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Eastern, 12 p.m. Pacific. We'll get to Sherman Oaks and
- 30:24Speaker 1: Dan Byer in the update here in just a second. Taylor,
- 30:28Speaker 1: you swore to us that you would not watch a
- 30:30Speaker 1: second of the Falcon Steelers game because Cooper Rush was
- 30:34Speaker 1: playing quarterback in that game. And it seems like the Falcons,
- 30:36Speaker 1: who have a very talented team, no one wants to
- 30:38Speaker 1: play quarterback for them. But did you watch any of
- 30:41Speaker 1: that game, the Falcons and Steelers?
- 30:43Speaker 7: No, I kept my word. I was going to remain
- 30:45Speaker 7: steadfast that I was not turning that game on. I
- 30:47Speaker 7: was not going to waste a second of trying to
- 30:49Speaker 7: find my remote and figuring out putting on that Steelers-Falcons game.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:55Speaker 7: I got my fix when I'm watching the Jets-Titans game
- 30:58Speaker 7: on my one-screen TV of just the occasional cut-in of B.
- 31:03Speaker 7: John Robinson doing something breathtaking.
- 31:07Speaker 1: He's on my fantasy team. The Falcons are going to
- 31:09Speaker 1: kill that poor man.
- 31:10Speaker 7: He's good for one 50-plus-yard play every game, which is awesome.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Yes, he had a touchdown yesterday.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Listen, they lost. But he did enough for me. Cooper
- 31:22Speaker 1: Rush is bad, huh, Sal? Dude. Okay.
- 31:26Speaker 5: Now, not only— I just want another preface here from me.
- 31:30Speaker 5: Not only did I grow up a Falcons fan. I
- 31:32Speaker 5: really don't even care that much about them anymore since
- 31:34Speaker 5: the Super Bowl. But I believed that the public was
- 31:37Speaker 5: overvaluing in this particular game the Steelers. and minimizing Atlanta
- 31:42Speaker 5: and their weapons. And like Cooper Rush, I'd be lying
- 31:45Speaker 5: if I said I really watched him play a lot,
- 31:47Speaker 5: but I saw that he won some games as a
- 31:48Speaker 5: backup with the Cowboys, won some games as a backup with.
- 31:51Speaker 4: The Ravens, and I'm like, well, how bad can this
- 31:52Speaker 4: guy be? Tua's been awful. Maybe it's going to be
- 31:55Speaker 4: an upgrade. And then... I made the mistake, unlike Taylor,
- 31:59Speaker 4: where I watched this game. It was part of the
- 32:02Speaker 4: four box. I had this game on. I was locked in.
- 32:05Speaker 5: I actually bet on the stupid Atlanta Falcons. Plus six
- 32:08Speaker 5: and a half, money line, whatever. This guy, Cooper Rush,
- 32:12Speaker 5: played the worst game I have ever seen.
- 32:15Speaker 4: Like I said before, Herbert stinks. It's relative.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Herbert stinks, but like Cooper Rush doesn't belong anywhere near
- 32:22Speaker 5: an NFL football field. He basically was handing the ball
- 32:25Speaker 5: to TJ Watt.
- 32:27Speaker 4: The entire game. They missed two field goals. He threw
- 32:29Speaker 4: two picks. They still should have beaten the Steelers. Taylor,
- 32:33Speaker 4: I'm with you.
- 32:33Speaker 5: If Cooper Rush is the quarterback again next week, I
- 32:35Speaker 5: am not watching the Falcons anymore until they get a
- 32:38Speaker 5: real quarterback in there.
- 32:40Speaker 1: This is a take that seems like it's drenched in
- 32:42Speaker 1: gambling losses. I mean, just soaked in gambling losses. I mean,
- 32:45Speaker 1: no one's this angry about Cooper Rush unless they were
- 32:48Speaker 1: dumb enough about the Falcons yesterday.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Speaker 3 0 1.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:51Speaker 8: Sal put on the, on the sheet, Cooper rush is
- 32:53Speaker 8: the worst quarterback I've ever seen. And I'm like, did
- 32:55Speaker 8: we not live in a word with Trevor Simeon or
- 32:57Speaker 8: Nathan Peterman? And I'm sitting there going like, why would
- 33:00Speaker 8: he say Cooper rush was that bad?
- 33:02Speaker 1: Right.
- 33:02Speaker 8: And then I hear his take and I'm like, oh,
- 33:04Speaker 8: it's gambling losses too.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Got it.
- 33:06Speaker 5: All right.
- 33:06Speaker 1: That makes sense.
- 33:07Speaker 3: He's the most recent quarterback that costs sound money.
- 33:10Speaker 6: No.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Speaker 4 0 1.
- 33:12Speaker 7: So is this Cooper rushes or is this the Falcons
- 33:15Speaker 7: decision-makers fault? Because you went into a season With an
- 33:19Speaker 7: injury-prone Tua, an injury-prone Michael Penix, and then week one
- 33:23Speaker 7: shows up and it's like, where's Tua? Where's Michael Penix? Oh,
- 33:26Speaker 7: the two injury-prone quarterbacks are injured. And then you have
- 33:29Speaker 7: Cooper Rush a couple of days before the game where
- 33:31Speaker 7: they're saying he's experiencing back spasm. And it's like, oh, man,
- 33:34Speaker 7: you're not even going to get 100% Cooper Rush?
- 33:35Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 33:37Speaker 5: They should have then just went with whoever the emergency
- 33:39Speaker 5: quarterback was and Jack the Wildcat.
- 33:42Speaker 4: They would have worked. What does Matt Ryan think? And
- 33:44Speaker 4: I love Matty Ice. He's now running the show down there.
- 33:46Speaker 5: How do you go from spending a gazillion dollars on
- 33:50Speaker 5: Kirk Cousins, picking Michael Penix in the first round? bringing
- 33:54Speaker 5: in Tua to have Cooper freaking rush starting week one
- 33:58Speaker 5: of a new NFL season. And it's not just because
- 34:01Speaker 5: I lost the bet or was wrong about the pick
- 34:02Speaker 5: or I'm a Falcon fan. Legitimately, this guy could not
- 34:06Speaker 5: make a throw. He kept throwing it to the Steelers.
- 34:10Speaker 5: They should have had more interception. He was an embarrassment.
- 34:13Speaker 5: I've seen awful quarterback play in my life, whether it's
- 34:16Speaker 5: with the Jets, the Giants, the Falcons, you name it.
- 34:19Speaker 5: This was, Stu, this was beyond, like, I can't believe
- 34:22Speaker 5: that he actually took, that they put him in a
- 34:24Speaker 5: position to take.
- 34:25Speaker 4: The field in an NFL game.
- 34:27Speaker 1: What a bad beat. Yeah, Dan. If he could throw,
- 34:30Speaker 1: his name would be Cooper Pass.
- 34:33Speaker 4: There you go.
- 34:34Speaker 2: What?
- 34:34Speaker 1: He got it for that? That was good. Great job.
- 34:40Speaker 1: You feel good about that? Just a drop Sam likes
- 34:44Speaker 1: to play. Way too much, by the way, I might add.
- 34:46Speaker 1: I don't know. Speaking of pass, I'm going to pass
- 34:50Speaker 1: it to you. Sherman Oaks, Dan Beyer with a sports update.
- 34:54Speaker 1: I do want to add one thing to Taylor's wins
- 34:56Speaker 1: and losses for the weekend.
- 34:57Speaker 9: How about Carolina when it's mid 90s on artificial surface?
- 35:02Speaker 9: They're like, yeah, we'll wear our black pants and black
- 35:04Speaker 9: helmet and dark blue jerseys.
- 35:06Speaker 1: My goodness. Like every NFL team. I was like, maybe
- 35:08Speaker 1: we'll wear white week one because it's going to be hot.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Not Carolina. Not when you're playing in an oven in Charlotte.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Bears put up 59 on them.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Taylor, you see what Sark had to say, by the way?
- 35:20Speaker 1: What?
- 35:20Speaker 3: Since we were talking about him earlier.
- 35:21Speaker 6: What'd he say?
- 35:22Speaker 1: Ohio State should be commended for playing Texas.
- 35:25Speaker 7: I mean, because they all stick to the same script. Like,
- 35:30Speaker 7: Ryan Day comes out today and is like, oh, you
- 35:32Speaker 7: don't want us to play Texas? We're fine playing Youngstown
- 35:35Speaker 7: State if that's what people really want.
- 35:38Speaker 5: Nope.
- 35:38Speaker 4: No apology in there, Stu, to Holly Rowe. That's what
- 35:40Speaker 4: I care about.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Or Laura Rutledge. No apologies.
- 35:44Speaker 1: He blew off two sideline reports. He has an obligation
- 35:47Speaker 1: to do it. You guys are right. Everyone has a
- 35:49Speaker 1: right to be upset over Sork not doing that. He
- 35:52Speaker 1: has a media obligation. That's part of the deal. It's
- 35:55Speaker 1: why ESPN, ABC is paying so much money for the rights.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Part of the reason. They want the games, but that's
- 36:00Speaker 1: just a perk of having the games is you get
- 36:02Speaker 1: the coach coming off during halftime and after a big
- 36:05Speaker 1: victory and he blew him off twice. Bad job by Sork.
- 36:08Speaker 5: It was just rude to me. Now, back to the, like,
- 36:11Speaker 5: don't we all know? Like, why does he got to
- 36:13Speaker 5: remind us?
- 36:14Speaker 4: Oh, well, credit to Ohio State.
- 36:15Speaker 5: Like, we all know Ohio State's good and Texas is good.
- 36:19Speaker 4: I'd rather see those games.
- 36:20Speaker 5: And they're not going to be penalized to the death
- 36:21Speaker 5: penalty for losing a game, especially with the playoff now. Like,
- 36:25Speaker 5: what do they need to explain themselves for? We could
- 36:27Speaker 5: see it with our own eyes who they're playing.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I think what Sark is trying, he's laying the groundwork.
- 36:31Speaker 1: He's a big resume guy.
- 36:33Speaker 4: Like, hey, if you have three.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Right. No, but he's setting the groundwork, you know, for
- 36:36Speaker 1: when he loses three games, he still wants to make
- 36:38Speaker 1: it to the playoff.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Oh, I got you.
- 36:40Speaker 4: I got you. Building up Ohio State.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Right.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:43Speaker 7: Ohio State's loss this past weekend was better than any
- 36:46Speaker 7: other team's win this past weekend. That's basically what Sark
- 36:49Speaker 7: is arguing.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Yes.
- 36:50Speaker 3: It's a good argument.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I don't mind it. Like, it's fair. Totally fair, right?
- 36:53Speaker 3: I agree.
- 36:54Speaker 5: Who did Miami play? Like, look at some of the— but
- 36:56Speaker 5: what about Georgia? Like, I'm not trying to minimize them,
- 36:58Speaker 5: but that's what college football is. You get 50-point spreads
- 37:01Speaker 5: regularly throughout the course. When you get a rare good
- 37:04Speaker 5: game like that, it's intriguing.
- 37:06Speaker 4: I'd rather that.
- 37:07Speaker 1: I was more impressed with that Ohio State loss than
- 37:09Speaker 1: I was with just about any win this weekend. Seriously.
- 37:12Speaker 3: I mean, they were on the road in Texas.
- 37:14Speaker 1: I know they blew a lead, but they're on the
- 37:15Speaker 1: road against Texas, a very good football team. They lost
- 37:18Speaker 1: a very close game. And that's all Sark is saying.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Don't hold it against them because they scheduled us. And
- 37:23Speaker 1: that's it. And I agree.
- 37:25Speaker 7: Sal, I made a catastrophic mistake when it comes to
- 37:28Speaker 7: radio last week.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Yeah, he heard it.
- 37:31Speaker 6: I admitted, no.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Not that one? Not that one. A different one. Okay,
- 37:35Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 37:36Speaker 3: There's so many.
- 37:37Speaker 7: What I did, Sal, was I admitted I was wrong.
- 37:41Speaker 7: I watched the Oklahoma State Tulsa game after Oklahoma State
- 37:44Speaker 7: was my darling in the preseason. And when they lose
- 37:48Speaker 7: to Tulsa, I came in here and I said, hand up, guys.
- 37:51Speaker 7: I couldn't have been more wrong about this team. And
- 37:54Speaker 7: then by admitting I was so wrong, I sold all
- 37:58Speaker 7: my stocks on this Oklahoma State team.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Not your socks, your socks.
- 38:01Speaker 7: No, I didn't sell my socks. I'm still wearing my socks.
- 38:04Speaker 7: But I sold my stocks when it comes to this
- 38:06Speaker 7: Oklahoma State team. And then, of course, what happens? Oklahoma
- 38:10Speaker 7: State has arguably the win of the weekend upsetting Oregon
- 38:14Speaker 7: and Dan Lanning.
- 38:15Speaker 5: Yep. The mistake was not apologizing. The mistake was getting
- 38:19Speaker 5: off your original pick too soon. Like I was trying
- 38:21Speaker 5: to say last week, if you believe something, stick it
- 38:24Speaker 5: out a little bit longer.
- 38:26Speaker 4: And obviously you jumped off that bandwagon. Now you can't
- 38:28Speaker 4: get credit for it. There's no going back.
- 38:29Speaker 6: No backseats.
- 38:30Speaker 5: Nope.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Mike Gundy and them boys. Not Mike Gundy. I know.
- 38:35Speaker 1: It was the joke. I was shocked that he's still
- 38:39Speaker 1: not the Oklahoma State coach. I thought he would.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Anyway, he did that, Sal, just to get me to
- 38:44Speaker 3: Dan Lanning. That's why he did it.
- 38:47Speaker 1: He set me up to rip Dan Lanning because he
- 38:49Speaker 1: wants me to rip Dan Lanning because Dan Lanning is annoying.
- 38:52Speaker 1: Dan Lanning, 90 minutes before kickoff. How about you stop
- 38:57Speaker 1: palling around and having a chuckle fest with Pat McAfee
- 39:01Speaker 1: and the entire game day crew and Nick Saban and
- 39:04Speaker 1: focus on the football game. He is sitting there. He's
- 39:06Speaker 1: mic'd up for sound. He's walking across the field. He's
- 39:09Speaker 1: yucking it up with McAfee. He's got a football in
- 39:11Speaker 1: his hand. And then McAfee, of course, because he has
- 39:14Speaker 1: endless amounts of money, challenged him to hit the goalpost
- 39:17Speaker 1: with a football and he would get $ 500, 000 to a charity.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Now I'm all for raising money for a charity, but
- 39:24Speaker 1: but I'm also all for a football coach focusing on
- 39:27Speaker 1: the game that takes place in 90 minutes, not trying
- 39:29Speaker 1: to hit a goal. post that once not twice but
- 39:32Speaker 1: three separate times with mcafee and the game day crew
- 39:36Speaker 1: Imagine if Dan Lanning walks out on that field and
- 39:39Speaker 1: 90 minutes before kickoff, one of his players is yucking
- 39:43Speaker 1: it up with Pat McAfee, trying to raise money for
- 39:46Speaker 1: charity and doing everything but being focused on the opponent
- 39:49Speaker 1: and the game that is coming up in 90 minutes
- 39:52Speaker 1: at Stillwater. That guy would get ripped by Dan Lanning.
- 39:56Speaker 1: And there's Dan Lanning out there because no one could
- 39:58Speaker 1: yell at him. There is Lanning out on the field,
- 40:01Speaker 1: not focused on the opponent, not focused on his team,
- 40:04Speaker 1: not focused on the game. He is focused on making
- 40:07Speaker 1: Pat McAfee laugh.
- 40:09Speaker 4: Enough. Terrible.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Terrible job by Lanning.
- 40:12Speaker 4: Taylor, I feel good. Sue, that was great. I just
- 40:16Speaker 4: feel bad ripping a guy who's doing the charitable.
- 40:20Speaker 3: Thing.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Listen, you're making $ 10 million a year. By the way, McAfee, $ 500, 000.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Lanning tossed in an extra $ 50, 000. I mean, how about
- 40:30Speaker 1: just peel off a check for charity and focus on
- 40:32Speaker 1: the football game? How does that sound?
- 40:35Speaker 7: So I've had one eye on Dan Lanning ever since
- 40:37Speaker 7: he got to Eugene where everybody's praising him being the
- 40:41Speaker 7: next golden boy in college football. And his results leave
- 40:46Speaker 7: a lot to be desired. And I think I've just
- 40:48Speaker 7: come to the conclusion that Dan Lanning is the Nick
- 40:50Speaker 7: Saban of Mike Norvell's.
- 40:54Speaker 4: Can I make a confession to you guys? You're live
- 40:56Speaker 4: on national radio.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead. You don't care about Oregon?
- 40:59Speaker 5: I had no idea who Dan Lanning was until I
- 41:01Speaker 5: looked it up. In the middle of that rant, I
- 41:04Speaker 5: was like, who the hell is Dan Lanning? Oh, yeah,
- 41:06Speaker 5: the Oregon head coach.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Now Mikey is putting his hand in his face here
- 41:10Speaker 1: because we're on national radio. No, I had to learn
- 41:12Speaker 1: this as well. Sal grew up in an area where
- 41:15Speaker 1: no one cares about Dan Lanning. And I'm starting to
- 41:18Speaker 1: wonder why I care this much about Dan Lanning. I mean,
- 41:21Speaker 1: the man was raising a half million dollars for charity,
- 41:24Speaker 1: and I'm sitting here ripping Dan Lanning. I mean, he
- 41:27Speaker 1: did a good thing right up until he lost to
- 41:29Speaker 1: Oklahoma State.
- 41:31Speaker 4: Would you have ripped him?
- 41:33Speaker 3: I'd be totally fine with it.
- 41:34Speaker 5: Yes.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Good job by Dan.
- 41:36Speaker 5: What a good guy.
- 41:37Speaker 7: I think there is a conversation to be have that
- 41:40Speaker 7: Dante Moore. skips the NFL draft last year because the
- 41:45Speaker 7: premise was basically, I don't want to go to the Jets.
- 41:47Speaker 7: Now it looks like Dante Moore is going to avoid
- 41:49Speaker 7: the first round entirely next year because everybody's having questions
- 41:52Speaker 7: about him. And I think there is a conversation to
- 41:55Speaker 7: be had that he loses his OC. His OC takes
- 41:58Speaker 7: the head coaching job at Kentucky. I think you can
- 42:00Speaker 7: have the conversation today. Should Dante Moore, if he didn't
- 42:03Speaker 7: want to go to the Jets, if he didn't, if
- 42:05Speaker 7: he would so foot down, I'm not going to the Jets.
- 42:08Speaker 7: you should have at least considered going with your offensive
- 42:11Speaker 7: coordinator to Kentucky.
- 42:12Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 42:13Speaker 6: Stu, you said stop.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Like, that doesn't happen.
- 42:16Speaker 8: Like, last year preseason, we weren't talking about Nussmeyer or
- 42:20Speaker 8: Klubnick going top five, and none of them went in
- 42:23Speaker 8: the first round. Like, Dante Moore could legitimately fall to
- 42:27Speaker 8: the third, fourth, and fifth round with how bad he's
- 42:30Speaker 8: been two weeks in.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Right.
- 42:31Speaker 8: And then you add that, the fact that he's saying
- 42:33Speaker 8: he's a quarterback who's suffering from anxiety. Like, that's not
- 42:37Speaker 8: a quarterback I want coming to New York. I don't
- 42:39Speaker 8: want a quarterback who's worried about playing in Eugene, Oregon.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Coming to New York.
- 42:43Speaker 5: Right.
- 42:43Speaker 1: This actually happens. That's totally fair. But I do trust
- 42:47Speaker 1: Todd McShay, who says he's the best quarterback in college football. Like,
- 42:49Speaker 1: I trust his scouting. He said that three weeks ago.
- 42:52Speaker 8: Before those two games.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I understand that. And that could change, and maybe it
- 42:57Speaker 1: will as the season rolls on. But again, and I'm
- 42:59Speaker 1: sitting here and I'm overreacting to everything because it's fun
- 43:02Speaker 1: to do on a Monday after one week of NFL football.
- 43:04Speaker 3: But they played three games.
- 43:06Speaker 2: I mean.
- 43:07Speaker 1: They've played three games. That's all I'm saying. Maybe he
- 43:10Speaker 1: will slip out. Maybe he will fall out of the
- 43:12Speaker 1: first round. I have no idea. It's just three games, though.
- 43:14Speaker 4: They change all the time. Remember Drew Aller a couple
- 43:16Speaker 4: years ago?
- 43:16Speaker 1: It's like, oh, my God.
- 43:19Speaker 4: Drew Aller. I can't wait to get my hands on him.
- 43:21Speaker 4: And then he stays in college the next year.
- 43:23Speaker 5: It's like, you can't find him. Where is Drew Aller?
- 43:26Speaker 5: So those things change so quickly. He had a chance
- 43:29Speaker 5: last year, and he didn't want it. And now he's
- 43:32Speaker 5: got to pay the consequences. You gamble on yourself or
- 43:34Speaker 5: whatever the proper term there is with college kids.
- 43:37Speaker 4: And you know what? Now he may pay the price.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Who's the quarterback?
- 43:40Speaker 1: When you think of quarterbacks who stayed one year too long,
- 43:43Speaker 1: I think of Matt Leinart.
- 43:44Speaker 3: I know they went to the championship game. They were
- 43:47Speaker 3: going for a three-peat.
- 43:48Speaker 1: But Matt Leinart, if he left after his junior year,
- 43:50Speaker 1: was going to be a top-five pick in the draft.
- 43:52Speaker 1: He stayed, did have a great year. They had a
- 43:54Speaker 1: great year. I know. But Mikey, that's a big difference
- 43:58Speaker 1: between top three and 13.
- 43:59Speaker 8: I mean, just last year, Nussmeyer, Klubnick, both of them,
- 44:04Speaker 8: if they would have come out last year in the draft,
- 44:07Speaker 8: the year before last year in the draft, they're probably
- 44:10Speaker 8: top 10 to 15 picks. They go back to school.
- 44:13Speaker 8: They're talked about. Oh, these guys are going to be.
- 44:15Speaker 8: And they both stunk and they both fell in.
- 44:19Speaker 6: They didn't fall spots like, like liner. They fell rounds.
- 44:23Speaker 7: If it's not liner, I would say you would, you
- 44:25Speaker 7: would stay at USC and it's probably Matt Barkley who
- 44:28Speaker 7: came back for his senior year. Cause he was like,
- 44:30Speaker 7: I think USC could win a national title. And then
- 44:32Speaker 7: Barkley got so hurt his shoulder that he fell all
- 44:35Speaker 7: the way in the fourth round in 2013.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Yes. Sal, I'm so proud of you for admitting to
- 44:39Speaker 1: a national audience that you had no idea who Dan
- 44:41Speaker 1: Lanning was. It's a big step for you. I wouldn't
- 44:44Speaker 1: have done it.
- 44:45Speaker 3: Yeah. I get it.
- 44:48Speaker 4: What's the worst that could happen? I get fired again.
- 44:50Speaker 4: I mean, I'm not worried about it.
- 44:52Speaker 1: I'm not going to fire you.
- 44:54Speaker 3: I'm proud of you.
- 44:56Speaker 1: I've been saying forever that you in your car. Okay.
- 45:00Speaker 1: There are people driving in their car all over this
- 45:02Speaker 1: country who know more about sports than the people on
- 45:05Speaker 1: the microphones. And it's okay to acknowledge that and admit it.
- 45:08Speaker 1: I've been doing it my entire career.
- 45:09Speaker 4: They do.
- 45:10Speaker 1: They care about it more than we do sometimes.
- 45:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, look, have I heard of his name? Maybe,
- 45:14Speaker 5: but I totally blanked on it. So, yeah, I'm not
- 45:17Speaker 5: afraid to admit that. Wouldn't you rather me be honest
- 45:19Speaker 5: with you? I'm not going to pretend. I could easily
- 45:22Speaker 5: just go to my phone and go to Safari. Oh, yeah,
- 45:24Speaker 5: Dan Lanning, you know, he's been here since 2022. He's
- 45:27Speaker 5: 56 and 48. Like, yeah, you don't want that.
- 45:30Speaker 4: I was honest with you.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Right. I lied as well. I really thought Mike Gundy
- 45:33Speaker 1: was still coaching at Oklahoma State. We all knew, though.
