- 0:14Speaker 1: E y. I think no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 0:16Speaker 1: no no no. I did not spell that right. Andrew
- 0:19Speaker 1: K E n e e y Right. Wait, hey k
- 0:23Speaker 1: E E n e y there. I know there's two
- 0:25Speaker 1: e's in there, and I'm like, wait, Also Lars Film
- 0:28Speaker 1: Services dot Com. A's works. How you bet?
- 0:29Speaker 2: My friends? Yeah, been fantastic, got a nice tan I
- 0:33Speaker 2: Uh I was. I just got back from Orlando for
- 0:39Speaker 2: Dance Nationals. You know, I've talked about both my daughter's
- 0:42Speaker 2: dance and uh. It's funny is I have two of
- 0:45Speaker 2: the dancers at my house right now, youngest daughter and
- 0:48Speaker 2: her friend and their group out of Spotlight Dance Academy
- 0:53Speaker 2: and WannaKey took first in the entire WHOA They just
- 0:58Speaker 2: wanted they wanted to say hi real quick.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Oh, let's hear him.
- 1:02Speaker 2: We'll tell your name. Ala. They're amazing and yeah, first
- 1:09Speaker 2: in the nation, making little Wannakee pretty proud. Because a
- 1:12Speaker 2: lot of these studios are from massive cities. So it's
- 1:15Speaker 2: pretty cool.
- 1:16Speaker 1: How cool is that? That is awesome? Congratulations. I just
- 1:20Speaker 1: mess you. I said they did they bring home many hardware?
- 1:22Speaker 1: And you said they sure did. That's very very cool. Taken. First,
- 1:27Speaker 1: we've got speaking of Orlando. You think heat, you think humidity,
- 1:31Speaker 1: you think of all that stuff. Wisconsin, as I look
- 1:33Speaker 1: at our forecast, not immune from that stuff kind of
- 1:36Speaker 1: brought some of that weather back. And we're going to
- 1:38Speaker 1: talk this morning Andrew about about insulation. And we always
- 1:42Speaker 1: think insulation during the winter months here in Wisconsin, but
- 1:46Speaker 1: just as if not more important during the summer months
- 1:48Speaker 1: as well, isn't.
- 1:49Speaker 2: It It is? I'm sorry. My daughter's laughing and she goes, wait,
- 1:55Speaker 2: so when you say you're doing a radio show, that
- 1:57Speaker 2: you're actually on the radio. Yeah, it's not like a
- 2:02Speaker 2: code word for work. It's like do you want to
- 2:06Speaker 2: say hi? Sorry, sorry, it's my radio show. I'll say,
- 2:11Speaker 2: what now, it's super proudable. But anyway, yeah, honestly it is.
- 2:18Speaker 2: There's no reason to really go to Florida at the
- 2:22Speaker 2: end of June unless you have to. It is so
- 2:24Speaker 2: hot and it is so humid, and I was kind
- 2:27Speaker 2: of excited to get back and I got off the
- 2:29Speaker 2: plane and I walked outside and it felt exactly the same.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I'm like, it followed us back to Wisconsin. So yes,
- 2:36Speaker 2: that is why I wanted to talk about insulation today.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I know we usually think about it in the winter.
- 2:44Speaker 2: It's like this warm, cozy blanket we put on our
- 2:46Speaker 2: house and we think that it keeps the heat in
- 2:48Speaker 2: and it's one hundred percent false. It has nothing to
- 2:51Speaker 2: do with keeping heat in your house. Insulation keeps heat
- 2:55Speaker 2: out of your house, out of your house, especially when
- 3:01Speaker 2: we talk about stack effect in the winter that if
- 3:03Speaker 2: warm air rises, that's where air ceiling comes into play.
- 3:08Speaker 2: So I wanted to talk about insulation because of this heat.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I was actually just reading an article of a local
- 3:16Speaker 2: HVAC company here in Madison that's received over nine hundred
- 3:19Speaker 2: calls in the past two days.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Oh g.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Now, a lot of those are probably for air conditioning
- 3:25Speaker 2: units not working, and a lot of those are probably
- 3:27Speaker 2: for AC units not being able to keep up. And
- 3:29Speaker 2: we see that all the time. We go to someone's
- 3:32Speaker 2: house and like, yeah, we had the HVA see people
- 3:35Speaker 2: come out and they said, everything's fine, but we've got
- 3:40Speaker 2: that We've got the thermost set at seventy and we
- 3:42Speaker 2: can't get it below seventy eight. Well, that is because
- 3:47Speaker 2: when it is as warm as it is out right
- 3:49Speaker 2: now or I don't know what, I don't even know
- 3:50Speaker 2: how warm it's going to get today, about ninety ish. Right, Yep,
- 3:55Speaker 2: your addict turns into a thermal oven. And you can
- 3:59Speaker 2: just ask my guy who are up working in one yesterday.
- 4:01Speaker 2: It's it's almost not safe, to be honest with you,
- 4:06Speaker 2: and we make sure that we're done working early. We
- 4:09Speaker 2: make sure that when they're in the attic when it's
- 4:11Speaker 2: that warm, because we're talking like one hundred and forty
- 4:13Speaker 2: one hundred and fifty degrees in your attic ten minute intervals,
- 4:19Speaker 2: next person in stuff like that, so that attic gets
- 4:23Speaker 2: to be up gets up to one hundred and fifty
- 4:24Speaker 2: one hundred forty hundred and fifty degrees. And the only
- 4:26Speaker 2: thing that's separating that one hundred and forty hundred and
- 4:29Speaker 2: fifty degree temp from the inside of your home is
- 4:33Speaker 2: whatever you have for insulation and some drywall. Now, if
- 4:38Speaker 2: you have inadequate insulation, it becomes I mean, we go
- 4:42Speaker 2: up in addicts that have you know, built in the sixties,
- 4:45Speaker 2: built in the fifties and that's the last time the
- 4:47Speaker 2: insulation was looked at and the insulation's literally deteriorated down
- 4:50Speaker 2: to like two inches. Well, you're not going to keep
- 4:53Speaker 2: that home cool. We can take our thermal imaging camera
- 4:55Speaker 2: from the inside of the house, thermal image that ceiling
- 4:59Speaker 2: and you might be looking at ninety two one hundred
- 5:01Speaker 2: degrees on that ceiling, but we're trying to shoot seventy
- 5:05Speaker 2: two degree air into the room. It doesn't work very well.
- 5:09Speaker 2: You will never achieve the temperature or the comfort comfortable.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I'm not gonna able to say that word today, the
- 5:15Speaker 2: comfort level that you would like. So that's why insulation
- 5:20Speaker 2: is so important. And when we talk about insulation, I
- 5:22Speaker 2: always talk about the UAS or our Ultimate Addict Solution,
- 5:26Speaker 2: because that is our that is our product that we
- 5:30Speaker 2: came up with that is perfect for all seasons. We
- 5:34Speaker 2: do a full removal of whatever insulation you have, and
- 5:37Speaker 2: people always like, why do you got to remove all
- 5:39Speaker 2: our insulation? Da da da da da. We cannot air
- 5:42Speaker 2: seal properly with insulation in your attic. And if a
- 5:44Speaker 2: company comes and says they can, they can try, and
- 5:48Speaker 2: it's possible that they could get it most likely not
- 5:52Speaker 2: going to work out properly and you're going to miss spots.
- 5:56Speaker 2: You know, my my buddy wanted to make me a
- 5:59Speaker 2: meme about it. But you know, I always say, like,
- 6:02Speaker 2: if you've got a dog and you've got twelve inches
- 6:03Speaker 2: of snow out there, and you go to pickup dog
- 6:06Speaker 2: poop and twelve inches of snow, you get some of.
- 6:08Speaker 1: It, Yeah, well most of it you won't.
- 6:11Speaker 2: And that is what it's like, trying to find small
- 6:14Speaker 2: air holes on your attic floor when it's covered in insulation.
- 6:17Speaker 2: So we remove everything, we start clean, especially because with
- 6:21Speaker 2: an ultimate addic solution you are getting one to one
- 6:24Speaker 2: and a half inches and I say one to one
- 6:26Speaker 2: and a half because it's not a perfect science. It's
- 6:28Speaker 2: expandable to two part closed cell foam. You're getting an
- 6:33Speaker 2: inch to an inch and a half layer across your
- 6:35Speaker 2: entire attic floor. The beauty of that is that has
- 6:40Speaker 2: an insulating property as well as it's air ceiling everything
- 6:43Speaker 2: at the same time, so we're not spot air ceiling,
- 6:45Speaker 2: we're just air sealing the entire attic floor. Then we
- 6:49Speaker 2: are going to put seventeen inches of beautiful fluffy cellulose
- 6:53Speaker 2: over the top of that, and if anybody knows anything
- 6:55Speaker 2: about cellulose, after a while, it does settle a little
- 6:58Speaker 2: bit and actually becomes actually has a little bit of
- 7:02Speaker 2: an air sealing property as well. So once we've we've removed,
- 7:06Speaker 2: we've spray foamed the floor, We're then going to take
- 7:08Speaker 2: care of critical details like chimney wraps. You know, I
- 7:11Speaker 2: always talk about chimneys being a critical detail on a roof,
- 7:14Speaker 2: where they are in an attic as well. And the
- 7:16Speaker 2: reason being is because if you have an older home
- 7:18Speaker 2: and you have an attic going a chimney which starts
- 7:22Speaker 2: out in the basement, because that's how all of your
- 7:25Speaker 2: utilities used to vent. Everything was self venting through stack effect.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Basically it vented out the chimney, your furnace, your water heater,
- 7:33Speaker 2: all that carbon monoxide would go out that way. Because
- 7:36Speaker 2: of fire code, there had to always be a two
- 7:38Speaker 2: inch gap around that chimney, so you're basically you have
- 7:42Speaker 2: a giant hole running up through the middle of your house.
- 7:46Speaker 2: We air seal that properly that so it's fire rated.
- 7:50Speaker 2: We use firecock it can't burn. We use metal flashing,
- 7:53Speaker 2: So we air seal that all up, spray foam that
- 7:55Speaker 2: shut and now you've got a perfect air seal around
- 7:58Speaker 2: your chimney and everything's covered in insulation. Now you have
- 8:01Speaker 2: an ultimate attic solution that is going to keep your
- 8:04Speaker 2: home warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer, and
- 8:07Speaker 2: it's going to lower energy bills. And like like our gutters,
- 8:11Speaker 2: it's kind of it's a it's a one and done deal.
- 8:14Speaker 2: It's it's a one and done. We rarely ever go
- 8:16Speaker 2: into an attic that has air ceiling, to be honest
- 8:19Speaker 2: with you, if the house is more than twenty years old,
- 8:21Speaker 2: it's typically not done. So if you think the air
- 8:25Speaker 2: conditioning is running a little too much or heaven forbid,
- 8:29Speaker 2: cannot keep up at all, you know, have us come
- 8:32Speaker 2: out and give you an inspection and let you know
- 8:34Speaker 2: exactly what you got going on. And honestly, like we
- 8:37Speaker 2: go do inspections just like we do a roof inspection,
- 8:41Speaker 2: and we come back down and let people know like, no,
- 8:43Speaker 2: you're you've got air ceiling, you've got the proper amount
- 8:46Speaker 2: of insulation.
- 8:48Speaker 1: We talk good and Andrew, it's it today as we
- 8:51Speaker 1: talked sporting with Andrew Larson from larsen Kini Home Services Online,
- 8:54Speaker 1: Larsenkinihomeservices dot com. That's l A R S O N
- 8:58Speaker 1: K E E N E why home Services dot Com
- 9:02Speaker 1: And Andrew, I think a lot of us, you know,
- 9:04Speaker 1: you talk about what you guys do with the with
- 9:06Speaker 1: the ultimate addicts solution when it comes to when it
- 9:10Speaker 1: comes to the work that and whether it's addicts, roofs, everything,
- 9:13Speaker 1: it's really about about covering every issue is It's not
- 9:17Speaker 1: about just like making it look pretty. And by the way,
- 9:19Speaker 1: your addicts do look absolutely gorgeous.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I'm glad you think. I'm glad you think so.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It's a sickness that I acquired from you, and uh,
- 9:27Speaker 1: I don't. I really appreciate it. But but your earlier
- 9:31Speaker 1: point too, And I think it's really important as we
- 9:33Speaker 1: talk about folks calling you know, heating and cooling, and
- 9:36Speaker 1: we think about you know, our central air and and
- 9:38Speaker 1: and these this these this equipment. If it's not able
- 9:42Speaker 1: to keep up, one of the best things you can
- 9:44Speaker 1: do for the long term is is make the job
- 9:47Speaker 1: easier for it. If you're not losing that that conditioned air,
- 9:50Speaker 1: if you are able to contain all of that, you're
- 9:52Speaker 1: able to keep those cycles down, your your equipment is
- 9:55Speaker 1: going to last longer, viewer service calls, and and ultimately
- 9:58Speaker 1: are going to be more comfortable. And it's I think
- 10:01Speaker 1: sometimes we like to look at It reminds me of
- 10:03Speaker 1: like folks that are that are looking at buying a
- 10:05Speaker 1: new home. The things that are important is it does
- 10:07Speaker 1: it have a new roof? Does it have are the
- 10:10Speaker 1: are the mechanicals all solid? We tend to look at that. Secondarily,
- 10:14Speaker 1: we also we tend to lock in on does it
- 10:16Speaker 1: have granite countertops? Does it have you know, is it
- 10:19Speaker 1: open floor plan? The reality is that things that long
- 10:21Speaker 1: term make the biggest difference are sometimes the things you
- 10:24Speaker 1: never think about. Are never see it. As a matter
- 10:26Speaker 1: of fact, when it comes to having a properly insulated home,
- 10:29Speaker 1: the best thing is to never think about it from
- 10:32Speaker 1: day one. And that's what you're getting with Larson Kinie
- 10:34Speaker 1: and the Ultimate Roof, Ultimate addic solution is you are
- 10:38Speaker 1: getting a job done that you're never going to have
- 10:41Speaker 1: to think about again.
- 10:43Speaker 2: That's that's literally the way and why we do everything
- 10:49Speaker 2: that we do is we are trying to provide a
- 10:52Speaker 2: service end product that lasts a lifetime. I just shot
- 10:57Speaker 2: a podcast, Yester, I don't want to skip to roofing,
- 10:59Speaker 2: but talking about our ultimate roofing solution and talking about
- 11:02Speaker 2: the shingles we use and the fact that not all
- 11:04Speaker 2: Class four shingles are created equally, and distributors asking us, well,
- 11:11Speaker 2: why won't you just use these like we can get
- 11:13Speaker 2: these easier and they're less expensive because they're not as good,
- 11:18Speaker 2: and we don't. We don't sell on price. I mean
- 11:21Speaker 2: it's it's a we sell on trying to give a
- 11:24Speaker 2: product that really is going to work. And you know,
- 11:27Speaker 2: just talking about roofs we I don't have an ultimate
- 11:29Speaker 2: roofing solution out there right now with our Class four
- 11:33Speaker 2: rated shingles that we use with the SBS modified rubberized
- 11:39Speaker 2: matting that have any damage none zero zero have damage
- 11:44Speaker 2: still zero. I can't argue with that. Why would I
- 11:47Speaker 2: try something else just because it's cheaper and the distributor
- 11:50Speaker 2: can get it easier. I don't care if they can
- 11:51Speaker 2: get it easier. We want to do what's best, and
- 11:55Speaker 2: what works doesn't always mean it's going to be the cheapest.
- 11:58Speaker 2: In fact, it's it never is. But what good does
- 12:02Speaker 2: it do us if we go out and say, hell, yeah,
- 12:04Speaker 2: we will know those shingles we put on our Class four,
- 12:06Speaker 2: but they're damaged. Sorry, there's no guarantee they won't get damaged. Well, no,
- 12:11Speaker 2: I want since there is no guarantee, like nobody can
- 12:13Speaker 2: guarantee that it won't, we want to give you the
- 12:16Speaker 2: best option. And that's the same thing when it comes
- 12:18Speaker 2: to the Ultimate addic solution. We want to do it
- 12:20Speaker 2: the best way that as of right now and as
- 12:23Speaker 2: of twenty twenty six, the best way that science tells
- 12:26Speaker 2: us to finish an addic is doing the ultimate addic solution,
- 12:31Speaker 2: and that's the way we do it. We could do
- 12:33Speaker 2: it cheaper spot ceiling, it's way cheaper. I mean one
- 12:37Speaker 2: part foam for spot ceiling is fifteen bucks a camp. Yeah,
- 12:43Speaker 2: two part spray foam is like three thousand dollars a set.
- 12:47Speaker 2: So it's a lot different, but it's the best way
- 12:50Speaker 2: to do it. And that's that's the way. That's what
- 12:52Speaker 2: we believe so.
- 12:53Speaker 1: And that's really what you want for your home as well.
- 12:55Speaker 1: As we talked this morning with Andrew Larson from Larsen
- 12:57Speaker 1: Home LARSENKINI Home Services, great data, Yeah, great day.

- 13:58Speaker 1: News coming not news we got Kevin ham Ham'sarborcare comes
- 14:01Speaker 1: your way next right here thirteen ten wuibi a twenty
- 14:09Speaker 1: thirteen ten wiba and ask the experts. Brought you by
- 14:13Speaker 1: Hamsarborcare online Hamsarborcare dot com. That's hams h A m
- 14:19Speaker 1: Msarborcare dot com. Delpho number eight sixty six five nine
- 14:22Speaker 1: six five three nine six. That's eight sixty six five
- 14:26Speaker 1: nine six five three nine six. Join us this morning
- 14:29Speaker 1: from hams Arborcare mester barbarist Kevin Ham, Kevin, keep it
- 14:34Speaker 1: cool this time of year? How do you guys do that?
- 14:35Speaker 1: By the way, good morning? Uh? How do you how
- 14:38Speaker 1: do you keep keep cool and hydrated this time of year?
- 14:41Speaker 1: Doing what you do?
- 14:43Speaker 3: Well, let's just say, Sean, I prefer ten degrees versus ninety.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I don't blame you there.
- 14:52Speaker 3: You just can't get out of the heat. You know,
- 14:57Speaker 3: yesterday we did have a breathe, okay, at least and
- 15:01Speaker 3: we were on the lake, Lake Mendota, and the breeze
- 15:05Speaker 3: was at us, so at least, you know, you had
- 15:10Speaker 3: some relief while you were dying the wind. The wind
- 15:15Speaker 3: is kind of a phantom and a and a relief
- 15:19Speaker 3: at the same time, because it's dehydrating you as it's
- 15:23Speaker 3: making you feel better. So it's a little DISTVI.
- 15:27Speaker 1: It's it's it's uh, it is tough out there, and
- 15:29Speaker 1: of course got great credit to the work that you
- 15:31Speaker 1: and you guys do at Ham's Arborcare. This time year,
- 15:34Speaker 1: we're going to talk about some some storm work and
- 15:37Speaker 1: I know there's still some stuff out there that needs
- 15:39Speaker 1: to be handled. Also talk about insurance companies, which is
- 15:43Speaker 1: always a very very fascinating uh a look into kind
- 15:47Speaker 1: of what goes into when they're doing some of those
- 15:50Speaker 1: some of those claims and other things how they operate.
- 15:52Speaker 1: But real quick, I didn't want to ask you also, Kevin,
- 15:55Speaker 1: before we get rolling on those topics, is with this heat,
- 15:57Speaker 1: I think one of the best ways and I love
- 16:00Speaker 1: just walking out back under the trees in the woods
- 16:02Speaker 1: is uh, keep your your your yard cool and your
- 16:06Speaker 1: house cool and comfortable. One of the cool things that
- 16:08Speaker 1: you're able to do is to plant a tree. It
- 16:10Speaker 1: really does a lot for adding overall comfort, not just
- 16:14Speaker 1: aesthetically looking beautiful, but actually they can serve a great
- 16:18Speaker 1: purpose when it comes to kind of regulating hot and
- 16:21Speaker 1: cool temperatures, can't they?
- 16:24Speaker 3: Uh yeah, the uh uh I'm sorry, Sean, can you
- 16:31Speaker 3: repeat that?
- 16:32Speaker 2: Oh?
- 16:32Speaker 1: No, yeah, I was just no, that's all, that's all
- 16:35Speaker 1: we know. I was just about like as far as
- 16:37Speaker 1: like planting a tree, just the great benefits of we
- 16:40Speaker 1: think about like these these hot days is having that
- 16:43Speaker 1: shade tree, having that opportunity What an amazing uh, what
- 16:47Speaker 1: an amazing thing that is. And not only does it
- 16:49Speaker 1: that beauty, it also can it can actually help with
- 16:51Speaker 1: their overall comfort, can't it.
- 16:53Speaker 3: You know, There's an incredible difference in the cooling effect
- 16:57Speaker 3: of the tree. We we just took out a large
- 16:59Speaker 3: silver maple the storm damage on the south side of
- 17:04Speaker 3: a house Lake, Wisconsin, and you know they are going
- 17:09Speaker 3: to notice a marked difference and how often their conditioner
- 17:12Speaker 3: comes on. It's amazing the difference that that it does make.
- 17:18Speaker 3: And I was just noticing in my own yard, you know,
- 17:21Speaker 3: our trees that we planted when we just got here,
- 17:23Speaker 3: you know, thirty years ago, and they're they're quite large,
- 17:27Speaker 3: you know, we're totally shaded in the heat of the day,
- 17:32Speaker 3: and it makes such a difference truly. So our Legacy
- 17:36Speaker 3: Tree program, of course, you know, we give a five
- 17:39Speaker 3: year warranty with those and we do the training ruting
- 17:42Speaker 3: over those five years, and and we most often unless
- 17:46Speaker 3: requested to do something different. We trained for height, you know,
- 17:51Speaker 3: for that apical dominant, and you can have a fairly
- 17:56Speaker 3: tall tree in that five years with that concerted effort
- 18:01Speaker 3: on training.
- 18:02Speaker 1: It's as we talk about that, all the great benefits
- 18:05Speaker 1: of planning a tree, and you mentioned legacy trees, the
- 18:08Speaker 1: five year warranty, the care that goes into establishing that tree,
- 18:13Speaker 1: just a really amazing opportunity for folks. You can learn

- 18:29Speaker 1: Let's talk about some of that residual storm work, as
- 18:31Speaker 1: you mentioned working on brought down a silver maple, which
- 18:36Speaker 1: I know generally don't fare very well when it comes
- 18:39Speaker 1: to comes to storms and other things. And sometimes you'll
- 18:43Speaker 1: have issues where insurance companies need to get involved as
- 18:46Speaker 1: well with that, Kevin, and that can be especially for
- 18:48Speaker 1: the homeowner. Can be can be kind of a tricky dance,
- 18:51Speaker 1: can't it.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Yeah, You know, they often want things written in a
- 18:56Speaker 3: particular way. And interestingly, this time around, we had one
- 19:01Speaker 3: that wanted it differently, you know, and and I you
- 19:07Speaker 3: know it. I mean there's a perspective of the insurance
- 19:10Speaker 3: company and the perspective of the homeowner, right yeah, And
- 19:14Speaker 3: of course the insurance company is going to have the
- 19:17Speaker 3: self interest and ordinarily they'll have us write it up.
- 19:22Speaker 3: You know, if there's something on a structure they want
- 19:26Speaker 3: it broken down. You know, if we just give you say,
- 19:30Speaker 3: oh I want this tree removed, we give you a
- 19:32Speaker 3: removal quote, and it's all inclusive of everything. Well, they
- 19:36Speaker 3: want what's the take to get it off the house,
- 19:40Speaker 3: and what's it take to take away the debris, And
- 19:44Speaker 3: of course there's a lot of things that can be
- 19:46Speaker 3: involved in taking it off the house or off the structure,
- 19:51Speaker 3: because there's you know, you have to move some stuff
- 19:54Speaker 3: to get at that, and you know, there's just a process.
- 19:58Speaker 3: So that can be a trick heat equations trying to
- 20:02Speaker 3: figure out, okay, what's actually the fair price of getting
- 20:07Speaker 3: off the structure and then the removal of the debris,
- 20:10Speaker 3: and they cover usually everything to take off the structure
- 20:15Speaker 3: and then a certain amount to take away the debris.
- 20:18Speaker 3: And this time recently in a particular, all that put
- 20:22Speaker 3: into one one number and you just never can tell
- 20:29Speaker 3: what they really want. But you know, we accommodate that
- 20:35Speaker 3: different language and try to you know, we we have
- 20:39Speaker 3: formulas and we come up with a just thing. We're
- 20:43Speaker 3: not gonna commit insurance and mail fraud on your behalf
- 20:49Speaker 3: by any means. We're going to write up a fair
- 20:52Speaker 3: price of what it takes to get that off the
- 20:54Speaker 3: structure and then the removal of debris. So we've got
- 20:59Speaker 3: a lot of experience in doing that, and uh, you
- 21:03Speaker 3: know it's one reason to go with with hands Arborcare.
- 21:06Speaker 3: We're going to write a fair, honest boat.
- 21:08Speaker 1: And we talk about keeping that number hand the eight
- 21:10Speaker 1: six six five nine six five three nine six a's
- 21:13Speaker 1: eight six six five nine six five three nine six
- 21:16Speaker 1: website hamsarborcare dot com. That's h a m msarborcare dot com.
- 21:21Speaker 1: I did see earlier today had some storms moved through
- 21:24Speaker 1: just north of the city and I saw even some
- 21:28Speaker 1: potential hail as well up in that area. So you
- 21:31Speaker 1: want to definitely you never know with Wisconsin summers, springs
- 21:34Speaker 1: and summers when those storms are going to roll through.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Keeping that stuff handy, can that contact information, handy, can
- 21:40Speaker 1: go go a real long way. And with that, Kevin,
- 21:43Speaker 1: we talk about how you guys handle storm damage. I
- 21:46Speaker 1: think one of the things that's always fascinating to me
- 21:48Speaker 1: about about arborcare and what you guys do at Ham's
- 21:51Speaker 1: Arborcare is is the scheduling of it all. Obviously, emergencies
- 21:55Speaker 1: take top priority, but even things like storm damages figuring
- 21:59Speaker 1: out is this something that that needs to be taken
- 22:02Speaker 1: taken care of right away? Is this something that that
- 22:04Speaker 1: we can get to in the coming days, those type
- 22:06Speaker 1: of things. It all depends on on, you know, what
- 22:09Speaker 1: what the threat is and and being able to assess
- 22:12Speaker 1: what the potential dangers of that stuff is. A is
- 22:14Speaker 1: a big part also of what you do, isn't it. Yeah?
- 22:18Speaker 3: You know, it's it's a big puzzle because there's the
- 22:21Speaker 3: logistics and then every storm is different. Sometimes we're real
- 22:25Speaker 3: localized and and that makes things kind of easy. This
- 22:29Speaker 3: last one was kind of a broad spread front. Uh,
- 22:33Speaker 3: that puts stuff. But we're up in Westfield today. It's
- 22:38Speaker 3: about the same distance from us as Madison. It's just
- 22:42Speaker 3: the other direction. No traffic. Yeah, you know, but it's
- 22:46Speaker 3: the same storm that hit you know, down into forest
- 22:51Speaker 3: and you know these are generally, our our Westfield clients
- 22:56Speaker 3: are our lake home owners, uh, and so it's second
- 23:00Speaker 3: and Dairy Holmes there's a lesser priority there. Some of
- 23:04Speaker 3: it was just down branches that they collected and we're
- 23:08Speaker 3: cleaning up for them, three or four clients that were
- 23:12Speaker 3: touching today and and so that was we prioritize that
- 23:18Speaker 3: for a couple of weeks after after the event. And
- 23:22Speaker 3: of course stuff that was on houses and threatening we
- 23:26Speaker 3: got to right away. So it's it's always a dance
- 23:30Speaker 3: in a in a juggle. There's when the storm's hit,
- 23:34Speaker 3: there's more work than there are tree companies, honestly, and
- 23:38Speaker 3: so everybody gets a backlog and it's just how do
- 23:43Speaker 3: we effectively serve everybody? And it can be a dance,
- 23:47Speaker 3: but that's the better problem to solve than wondering where
- 23:51Speaker 3: the next job is coming from. And so from a
- 23:55Speaker 3: business standpoint, it's like we will gladly solve these well.
- 24:00Speaker 1: And that's and we talk about all the benefits of
- 24:02Speaker 1: working with Hams Arborcare and working with Arborist. I will
- 24:05Speaker 1: tell you too, Kevin, if if your sodium levels get
- 24:08Speaker 1: a little low and potassium levels and you believe there's
- 24:10Speaker 1: an Arby's right off the air state there. Yeah. If
- 24:14Speaker 1: you want on a salty sandwich, you've got some.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:17Speaker 1: So we talked with Kevin Ham of Hams Arborcare again.
- 24:21Speaker 1: If you've had storm damage, you've been thinking about planting
- 24:23Speaker 1: a beautiful tree, something that's going to be rewarding a
- 24:27Speaker 1: short term, long term for generations. It's a great day
- 24:30Speaker 1: to start that conversation as well, big phone, give a
