- 0:00And if you had it as a job is like what we're saying, like I
- 0:02eventually find my, you know, my 4 O1 KD like actual benefits job
- 0:11doing something with animals or nature.
- 0:13And Amber finds her own company that she's built working on now.
- 0:17And you find a company that you like with a boss you like, with
- 0:21the pay, you like an 8 hour day 9 to 5 editing.
- 0:26I mean, is that, you know, does that make you happy?
- 0:40But it is party people. Hey, hey, hey, it.
- 0:48Is on access J here. That's even sense cut.
- 0:57That's going to be one of the sound pad things.
- 1:02It is funny to me that the Germans went full, you know,
- 1:05German and then immediately right back to yeah, we love this
- 1:10disco like. Went full German, What happened?
- 1:16Apparently you can go back once you've gone full German.
- 1:23Who disgust? It's goes so good.
- 1:37Welcome back guys. Hello.
- 1:39Recording. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:42Oh, I know. We put the button Hello hello.
- 1:47Professionals. That's on good morning.
- 1:57I'm having way too much fun with that voice.
- 1:59They're just gonna do it the whole time.
- 2:00Hell no, I'm gonna bottle it up and never do that voice again.
- 2:09What's up party people? I think we're all.
- 2:17You guys are so quiet. Wore out.
- 2:22Yeah, I been getting my myself kicked in at work, so my shit
- 2:31kicked in at work. Oh yeah.
- 2:35Oh yeah, I hate it. I genuinely hate it.
- 2:38Like not even that was. Quick.
- 2:41Yeah, Oh no, I thought it was going to be.
- 2:44I was presented something different and it turned out to
- 2:47be just a typical unorganized mess of a sales job.
- 2:53Isn't that sales? Yeah.
- 2:57But the way they presented was, yeah, you'll be selling, but
- 3:00you're more going to be doing this, and that's not the case at
- 3:04all. They sold you the cookie.
- 3:07Yeah, so looking for a new, new job.
- 3:11I'm not going to waste my time in there.
- 3:15I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what, I'll.
- 3:18Tell you what, I signed up for Rover.
- 3:23Rover. Yeah, don't say.
- 3:28I think, I think that's the response I've gotten from
- 3:30everyone is what the hell is Rover?
- 3:33Which doesn't doesn't help my confidence that I'm going to get
- 3:38any work because nobody knows what it is.
- 3:41So yeah. Yeah, I've heard of this.
- 3:43I was going to say, is it like that dog app?
- 3:48Yes. OK, yes.
- 3:49So yeah. I have heard of this, I just I
- 3:52wasn't sure if that's what you were talking about.
- 3:56Yeah, the babe. Oh my God.
- 4:00The main focus was I need someone to watch the dog for the
- 4:03afternoon because something came up and then it turned into I
- 4:08need somebody to watch the dog for a day or two because I can't
- 4:12make it back. I'm stuck here, you know, at the
- 4:15hospital and then, OK, I need somebody to check on the House
- 4:20and the dogs. And I have multiple dogs.
- 4:23So how do I do this? And every, every one of those is
- 4:25a different service. So they've got a couple
- 4:29different things you can do. And for the most part, it's all
- 4:36about the dogs. You, you are the the check in,
- 4:40you are the sitter, you are the border, which is what we're
- 4:43going to do anyways. When we got some land was put up
- 4:46a kennel and have dog boarding, that was the idea all along.
- 4:51Not like water boarding though, but like boarding dogs.
- 4:54Water boarding, that was the idea all along, was have a place
- 5:00to foster or have a place to board while people were at work
- 5:03or needed a couple days away from the dog because they
- 5:06couldn't take him on the plane or whatever.
- 5:07But now the app is pretty much doing all the I don't even know
- 5:13UI for us. So we can still bored, we can
- 5:17still go house sit and pet sit and check in and do you know
- 5:21exotic animals and cats if need be too.
- 5:24But I want to start, I think trying to focus on something
- 5:28like that because, you know, that's the whole point.
- 5:31It's it's animals and nature and all that stuff.
- 5:34And that's what makes me happy. So I should probably start
- 5:37heading in that direction if I want to, you know, get some kind
- 5:39of traction with it. I think the funniest part of you
- 5:43telling me it was that it was going to be like tenders for
- 5:46dogs. Yeah, you got to make like a
- 5:48profile picture and like a bio in the whole 9 yards.
- 5:51And what was your bio? I can't remember.
- 5:53You don't remember at all? I can't remember.
- 5:56I think you were like married, have three dogs and then avid.
- 6:01Avid. Yeah, avid dog dad.
- 6:08He said he was going to get a tattooed on him.
- 6:10When I you know how Tupac has, what is it gangster on his
- 6:14stomach like in a semi circle? Yeah, I'm going to get avid dog
- 6:18dad. That's good.
- 6:20I like that. So I said avid dog dad.
- 6:24And she didn't even look at me. She just goes, yeah.
- 6:27And I was like, did I give you the ick with that?
- 6:29She goes, you did. Did not like that.
- 6:32These people are going to see my husband's dog sitting Tinder
- 6:38profile and they're going to be like, I want him in my house.
- 6:42Yes, please. Yeah.
- 6:43I hadn't thought about that part because they're not supposed to
- 6:44be there. Why would you be there?
- 6:46If I'm boarding the dog or if I'm house sitting for you or if
- 6:50I'm checking in on your dog, why are you there?
- 6:53Get away from me. I don't like people.
- 6:55That's that's kind of my perfect job.
- 6:57I get to take care of these animals who need, you know, some
- 7:01love and affection. All you know, however often and
- 7:06the the humans aren't going to be there.
- 7:08Fantastic. My question is, is that going to
- 7:11be the new category instead of poor boy, it's the the dog
- 7:16sitter. Yeah, probably pay.
- 7:22Oh dear. No, not no.
- 7:27Hate that? I need you to come watch my dog,
- 7:31but here's your outfit. Oh my God.
- 7:34They're like, we're not home right now, but all of the
- 7:37cameras are on. And don't be afraid to put on
- 7:41what's in the closet. It's just.
- 7:44Yeah, they're like, they're like, you see these, what is it?
- 7:47The PT cams, the ones that can roll around and then zoom in
- 7:52when they get to something I. Think those robots.
- 7:54Yeah, the robot. Cameras, the PTZ cameras, yeah.
- 7:57Goodness, yeah. And then they come out with that
- 8:00German voice. What time is the outfit?
- 8:05I have to do it's. Just a scrap voice.
- 8:10Oh no, we are. Just the collar.
- 8:14It's just, yeah, it's just the teal collar.
- 8:17It's just the collar, but it's made out of real gold, babe.
- 8:21It's weird, we went down this rabbit hole and we finally found
- 8:24something that I was like, oh, the whole time I was like ick.
- 8:30And then we finally found just a teal gold collar and I'm like,
- 8:34Oh well, you. Know actually.
- 8:38You know it's. Not just the teal gold, it's
- 8:41that Andrew German voice. Oh dear.
- 8:45It's some oil. They're like my my shepherds
- 8:49only respond to one voice. That's fantastic.
- 8:57So ridiculous. We went full circle there.
- 9:01I didn't. I'm going to do, I'm going to do
- 9:06Rover and you're going to do. What do you got next?
- 9:15I got a job on the 24th. I'm going to film this birthday
- 9:21party. Oh yeah.
- 9:25We're going to see how that goes and then I am currently talking
- 9:29to somebody to see if I can get my foot into professional
- 9:34editing for Youtubers, so. So much money.
- 9:42Well, starting off, it wouldn't be, but it would pay the bills.
- 9:49Yeah, like the guy I'm talking to right now, I basically told
- 9:54him, listen, I don't have a portfolio because I haven't ever
- 9:57done this like for YouTube, I've done it for myself, I've done it
- 10:03for the occasional person. Hey, I need these videos edited
- 10:08from these old family clips, but I need them edited into, you
- 10:12know, like a home movie on a DVD or this.
- 10:16I've never done it for YouTube outside of what I've done on
- 10:21YouTube. So it's like I don't have
- 10:24anything to show my work because other than what I've posted, and
- 10:28that's not necessarily what you might be looking for, but I told
- 10:33him that I don't mind doing a part of a video or a small video
- 10:40for free. So he gets a sense of my work.
- 10:43I'll, I'll do that, like shoot me something, but we'll see.
- 10:49It was actually high hopes got me in contact with this person
- 10:54so hopefully that works out. What a legend.
- 10:59Yeah, dude. Dude is an absolute legend.
- 11:04So we've been watching a lot more Brandon Ferris recently and
- 11:11I've seen his stuff for four years ago and it just wasn't for
- 11:16me at the time. I couldn't understand what the
- 11:19concept of the video was. And now that I've actually taken
- 11:22a second to just to just sit down and watch a video, it's
- 11:25it's genius. The whole the whole thing's
- 11:27genius how he he does his channel and he's so I don't know
- 11:33the word transparent about everything.
- 11:37He tells them straight up. It cost, you know, $30,000 to
- 11:42shoot this video. I know it seems insane, but
- 11:44that's what it costs to do. He said, I'm not going to make a
- 11:47dime. I'm probably going to lose money
- 11:48on it. And that's OK.
- 11:49It's not about that he goes. But at the same time, I've got a
- 11:53team of five and they need to eat.
- 11:56So, you know, I got to figure something else out.
- 11:59And that's why he did his members only.
- 12:03And then I think there's there might be a Patreon at some
- 12:06point, But they also do, there's another channel.
- 12:09There's another channel. There's another channel.
- 12:11Then there's his buddy Cameron, who shoots the videos with him.
- 12:13There's another channel. There's another channel.
- 12:15There's another channel. But through all that, they
- 12:18pretty much kind of explain how YouTube works without, you know,
- 12:22gaslighting or gatekeeping. They just tell you how it works.
- 12:25And they said the same thing. He's like, yeah, we had an
- 12:27editor who worked for us for like a year.
- 12:30And they never mentioned that they weren't getting paid for
- 12:32it. They just, they just worked for
- 12:35a year and they never, they never brought it up.
- 12:39And now that they brought it up, he's like, I paid them three
- 12:43times what they were should have been paid, but because of their
- 12:48portfolio was just unreal. So you know, he said the same
- 12:52thing. It's, it's about the portfolio
- 12:55and it's about the, the work that you've not so much that
- 12:58you've already done, but just being there for the right
- 13:02channel is you know, you'll find it.
- 13:05There's there's how many channels now?
- 13:08So many. It was something ridiculous like
- 13:1123 million or something completely insane, which isn't
- 13:14that bad considering there's 8 billion people, almost 9 and
- 13:18there's only 23 million channels.
- 13:20That's not bad. No.
- 13:21And and like you got to think, not even 10% of those are
- 13:27actually making anything on it. Right.
- 13:31So 10% of the channels on YouTube are making anything at
- 13:37all, if that it'd probably be less, well, less than that, but
- 13:45of making. That that makes sense why you'd
- 13:48want to go that route. You're it's the same thing as
- 13:50me. I'm trying to get more into
- 13:51nature and more into the animals.
- 13:53That was my, you know, that was my one thing in the last couple
- 13:56episodes was that's what makes me happy.
- 13:58So I should probably start moving down that Ave.
- 14:01And if you're trying to be a content creator for you know for
- 14:04good, you should probably start moving that way instead of, you
- 14:07know, it back to sales. Yeah, yeah, I.
- 14:12Say I know bills and life get in the way, but eventually you got
- 14:17to start, you know? Yeah, I'm, that's why I've been
- 14:20looking for. I don't mind working.
- 14:22Like, that's the thing. I don't mind working.
- 14:25I just hate the stress that sales brings.
- 14:29And yes, because it's not like I can just go and do a job and get
- 14:34paid for it. I have to go and convince you to
- 14:38pay me for doing that and. That's true.
- 14:43At at a certain point, I'm the type of person that I'm not
- 14:48willing to lie to you to get your money.
- 14:52I refuse to do it. That's true too, yeah.
- 14:54And I refuse to Jack up the price if I know, hey, this is
- 15:00what we have to make to make a a a fair amount of product.
- 15:05Like, I was told I I sold a job recent, like Wednesday.
- 15:12I sold a job Wednesday and Thursday I go into the office
- 15:16for our meeting, which the meeting is just dumb.
- 15:21They're always dumb. But we go in and we're in there
- 15:26for an hour and a half to start the day off.
- 15:30I already had an appointment set up for that time, which is now
- 15:33completely blown out. So now I can't even get to the
- 15:35person in the time frame that I told them I would be there.
- 15:38One. Yeah, but two, it was going over
- 15:45all my paperwork, which is fine because they want to make sure
- 15:48it's done correctly by the state and everything like that.
- 15:51That's fine, whatever. But then he gets to the actual
- 15:55money amount. He said this is wrong, this is
- 15:57wrong, this is wrong, this is wrong, and this is what you need
- 16:00to do. And I'm like, you told me none
- 16:03of this during my training, not a single word about any of this
- 16:08was was told. And now you're telling me.
- 16:13Just. Straight up like calling me out
- 16:15saying this is wrong, this is wrong.
- 16:16Like to my peers, yeah. If it was like not.
- 16:21Yours. Were you told about doing this?
- 16:26Then I would have been like, no, I wasn't taught that
- 16:30specifically. And then the other thing was he
- 16:33was like, oh, when you get to this point, add in another year
- 16:41of the, the payment, you know, so that we can make sure that we
- 16:46get paid for that and doing the job.
- 16:48I'm like, one, I'm not told to do it that way. 2IN in the list,
- 16:58the, the notes of how to do the like pricing for the, for that
- 17:02specific job that I did. It never said to do that, so
- 17:07you're just. Trying to make money the.
- 17:09Price to make more money. I don't like that.
- 17:13I don't like that at all. So.
- 17:16That's why I hate sales. You also ruin me because I'm
- 17:21trying to get a sale here, and if you double it, literally
- 17:25double it, how the hell am I supposed to make a sale?
- 17:28Like, yeah, no, that's ridiculous.
- 17:31Yeah. So it's like, and I asked
- 17:35several times like certain pricing on things like how do we
- 17:42price this? How do we price that?
- 17:43They're like what, what do you think it would be priced?
- 17:48What do you mean get? The hell out of here.
- 17:50No, for I hate when they do that.
- 17:53A multi billion dollar company to have as little organization
- 17:59as they do. I'm surprised they haven't
- 18:02failed. It's just.
- 18:04You know what? They have behind them.
- 18:08There's a company I'm thinking of right now.
- 18:10I can't say the name, can't say the name.
- 18:14So it's it's kind of the same deal.
- 18:16It's do this, do that, do this, but then it's not just do that,
- 18:23do this, do this. It's 1000 other.
- 18:25Roller coasters in between. Like metric points, there's a
- 18:30million other decimal points that they've been crunching and
- 18:34they're like, why isn't this number where I think it should
- 18:37be? And I'm like, I don't, I don't
- 18:39have any idea what that number is.
- 18:40I don't know what you're doing to get it.
- 18:42I don't have any control over it.
- 18:46You're pissing me off asking like, do whatever you want.
- 18:49I don't give a shit. Like just let me do my job.
- 18:52And it's like you do your job. And what's funny is you are
- 18:56doing the job like everybody. Everybody's got such a big thing
- 19:00right now about quote, UN quote, can't find anybody who wants to
- 19:05work, but when the guys are there doing the work.
- 19:09And got belittled for something that they didn't know about.
- 19:11Yeah, they metric them down to enough to piss them off enough
- 19:16to go, OK, bye. Like this is not what we talked
- 19:20about. And, and that's the thing too,
- 19:22it's like, so I on Saturday, which my main manager was not in
- 19:29the office because we supposed to take every other Saturday off
- 19:33doesn't matter. But I get this lead that I
- 19:36wasn't told about, didn't have any idea, wasn't emailed about.
- 19:41And I'm supposed to go sell this person that I got a hold of at
- 19:49the very end of the time frame because I didn't, I didn't even
- 19:51know that was there. I just happened to check this
- 19:53schedule app, which normally my stuff doesn't get put on like
- 19:57that, make the phone call and finally set up the time to go
- 20:03visit the person and, and make the sale.
- 20:05Turns out her daughter was there.
- 20:07So I had to sell over an iPad FaceTime.
- 20:13Oh my God, you're doomed. No, I got, I, I, I closed her.
- 20:18I got the sale. She's signing the paperwork,
- 20:20sending it in. She needs to like.
- 20:22I'm good at my job. Shit.
- 20:25Yeah. So it's like I'm, I can do that.
- 20:28That's not a problem because I can, I can make friends over a
- 20:33computer, but that's not an issue to me.
- 20:38Where the issue lies is I got done and closed the sale and all
- 20:42of this. I sent it in to the manager and
- 20:45the manager sent back. Don't post this in the sales
- 20:49chat. Post it like this because you're
- 20:52not supposed to sell that. I just got done.
- 20:56Why did I do it? Yeah, why?
- 20:58Why did I get put? Why did I have that put on me
- 21:011-2? Why was I not told that when I
- 21:04was talking to you before going in three?
- 21:09Why? Why did you wait until the very
- 21:12end, once I sold it to tell me I'm not supposed to sell that?
- 21:17Yeah. It's like it sounds.
- 21:19Like a multi billion dollar company as usual.
- 21:21Yeah, it's a it's a complete mess and I'm looking, I'm now
- 21:25looking for a job that is I hopefully I can find a hybrid.
- 21:32I don't mind that, but I'm looking for something that is a
- 21:35nine to five, Monday through Friday.
- 21:40I go in, you tell me exactly what to do.
- 21:42I do it. I go home.
- 21:43I don't want anything else. Don't tell me to sell.
- 21:46Don't tell me to do anything else.
- 21:48Give me the exact list of things to do.
- 21:50I will do it and go home. I don't want the stress anymore.
- 21:53I'm not trying to gain business for you.
- 21:55I'm not doing that for you to pay me pennies and tell me that
- 21:59I didn't do it right or I wasn't supposed to do that.
- 22:02I wasn't supposed to do this because you didn't tell me when
- 22:04you should have. That's where I'm at now, so.
- 22:08More and more and more people I've seen take that route
- 22:12because they're they're just done with the, the politics of
- 22:17the office and the bullshit and the false promises and the.
- 22:21Because businesses are saying, Oh well, people just don't want
- 22:25to work. It's like, no, people don't want
- 22:27to work for you because of the way that you're treating them.
- 22:30Like, you know me, I've gone through what, 20 different jobs
- 22:35in the past thirteen years? Something like.
- 22:39That every single person with the exception of the dance
- 22:44teacher, the dance owner. Right.
- 22:47Had a problem with every single person.
- 22:49Yeah, every single person. You're not doing this right.
- 22:52OK well, you specifically the hair place.
- 22:55She taught me for like 2 days Yeah.
- 22:58And then put me out on my own and didn't even have like a
- 23:01binder of things that need to be done.
- 23:03Like they made the binder when I was there.
- 23:05Yeah. Like it was just.
- 23:08Yeah, 90% of the businesses out there, and that's literally why
- 23:12I started a business was because because of how pissed off I was
- 23:16at my old bosses, I was like, I'll never treat anybody like
- 23:19that. I'll never do what they did to
- 23:21me. I'll never do.
- 23:22I'll never run a company like they did.
- 23:25And lo and behold, five years later, if it wasn't for, you
- 23:28know, a medical emergency, I'd still be running strong.
- 23:31Like it's, it's not that difficult to run a business
- 23:35that's. You don't have people.
- 23:38That's the. Cool, that's the thing, you.
- 23:40Don't have people I've. Worked with people though like.
- 23:42I know you did like. Contractors who worked with me
- 23:44to do the job. And it was never, it was never
- 23:47like, wow, I hope I never see you again.
- 23:49It was always like, hey man, let me know if anything comes up.
- 23:53Like it's not hard to treat people like.
- 23:56We even did an episode where the guy was like, I fuck with you.
- 24:01Like the whole put your head in a Yeti cooler.
- 24:05Yeah, yeah. Literally, it's not.
- 24:07It's not like all you got to do is treat people like human
- 24:10beings and like, I don't know, train them.
- 24:15That was the thing. I didn't even have to train that
- 24:16guy. It was.
- 24:17Not not even just training them, but like training them
- 24:25specifically for the job they're doing.
- 24:29Speaking of jobs, moms back to work.
- 24:33I don't know if I told you that. Oh no, you did not.
- 24:36Hell yeah. So she went back to work, I
- 24:39think, last week, right? The week before.
- 24:42I think she had work the Sunday we came back.
- 24:47So like the first so two weeks or so?
- 24:4929th. So she she did a little bit and
- 24:54then a little bit more than a little bit more than a little
- 24:56bit more. And today was her first day of
- 24:59back to work. Like actually what she did
- 25:01before, she didn't get another job.
- 25:03She actually went back to her old job, so I don't know if I
- 25:07mentioned it on the podcast or not, but the people who found
- 25:10her were actually the people from her work.
- 25:13Yeah, yeah, yeah. OK, so she actually went back to
- 25:17work to that company with those people.
- 25:19I don't think I, I, I wanted any other way.
- 25:22I'll say that's literally the safest place she could possibly
- 25:25be. Yeah.
- 25:26Yeah, you want that and Co workers.
- 25:29But that's. Amazing.
- 25:31She would visit them too, so it's not like she's just jumping
- 25:35right back in. So for the past couple months we
- 25:38would go 'cause her job is like 7 minutes away or something like
- 25:41that. So she would go and talk to them
- 25:46and see them. So they've seen her as she's
- 25:49improving. So it's it's really good to,
- 25:53like you said, go back to that safe place.
- 25:55But also they understand like where she's at too.
- 26:00Yeah, that's the other side of it.
- 26:01They all know what happened. They they saw her, they were the
- 26:03ones that went and got her. So it's, it's nice to instead of
- 26:07jumping into a new place where she's going to get, you know,
- 26:11possible, possibly taken advantage of by a terrible
- 26:14manager like we we were talking about, or just used up and
- 26:19discarded like we were talking about.
- 26:20Like she went right back to the job she had before and these
- 26:25bastards. Yeah, that's fantastic.
- 26:29So that that's all good and dandy.
- 26:31And then she got her first check and she goes, hello, Excuse me.
- 26:35So her rate was like $3 less than what it was before.
- 26:39Was it really? Yeah.
- 26:40You didn't tell me that. Yeah.
- 26:42What? And I'm like, I'm like no, no,
- 26:44no, no, we're going to talk about this.
- 26:46And she goes no, no, no, I got it.
- 26:48So it took her like 3 or 4 days to finally get in touch with
- 26:51whoever does that. And they don't work in the
- 26:53store. Obviously it's owned by a giant,
- 26:55you know, investment firm and they don't have any idea who
- 26:59these people are. So they just know somebody got
- 27:02hired, give them this rate. They don't have a clue who it
- 27:06was or their experience or anything like that.
- 27:08So it's. Just a new name to.
- 27:10Say same name, same social. So they, they know that she's in
- 27:14the system. They just don't care.
- 27:16They don't know. They know what I mean.
- 27:17They never checked that part of it, but they, they gave her like
- 27:213 bucks less per hour. And I was like, no, no, we're
- 27:24not going to do that because you've got the experience.
- 27:26You are the most experienced person in that section where
- 27:30you're at. So go ahead and talk to them.
- 27:32She tried for like 3 or 4 days. She finally got a hold of who it
- 27:35was and with her manager at the same time.
- 27:38And he was like, Oh no, I it must have been it just went over
- 27:42everybody's head. Nobody mentioned it.
- 27:44Somebody forgot to click a box. You will absolutely go back to
- 27:47your original rate no problem. So she's getting her first big
- 27:51check. I say she worked I think 4 days
- 27:54this week like on this on this pay period, but.
- 27:57Technically, if you're counting Monday.
- 28:00Yeah, so I think she's she's doing good.
- 28:03She she closed for the first time tonight and that's in her
- 28:06department. They have a closing schedule so
- 28:10she closed for the first time and literally I just got back
- 28:13from grabbing her and she's completely wiped out.
- 28:16She's like that took everything out of me because she normally
- 28:20goes to bed at. That's what I was just supposed
- 28:22to say. She normally goes to sleep, like
- 28:24she'll go to like in her room at like 6630, and then she's asleep
- 28:30at like 7:00 or 8:00 at night, and then she's back up at like
- 28:33637 o'clock in the morning. So being out until eight, yeah,
- 28:40yeah. This is like she would be asleep
- 28:42by now, if not earlier. So yeah, yeah, thankfully they,
- 28:47they gave her a closing shift, they gave her another.
- 28:49It's a big shift. It's a, it's a lot of hours, but
- 28:51it's a, it's late for her so. She's working at a grocery
- 28:56store, just so everybody knows. She's not doing like, craziness.
- 28:59I don't. Know if you need to be?
- 29:02I don't. I don't know.
- 29:03I don't know. But yeah, she got back to work.
- 29:08So six months post stroke, already back to work, already
- 29:12doing her old job that she was doing, already getting paid her
- 29:15old rate. So thank God, I say, hey, just a
- 29:18big old glad. To hear.
- 29:20Yeah. It's it's nice to hear that
- 29:23she's progressing like she is. Yeah, I'm saying the only thing
- 29:26left is speech and she has her days.
- 29:29But most days I can. It's no problem.
- 29:31I can understand everything and she's telling me people at the
- 29:34store understand because they they knew what happened.
- 29:37And when customers come in and they ask her, hey, can this or
- 29:40that or this, she kind of gives them a little bit and then kind
- 29:48of gives them the whole thing. Hey, can't fully explain to you
- 29:52what I want to explain to you work with me and they're like
- 29:55yeah, of course, no problem. Like it's been great.
- 29:58So it's. Not like Florida.
- 29:59Yeah, thankfully it's not like Florida.
- 30:02No, they've been, they've been good.
- 30:04So thank God for that. If if nothing else, at least
- 30:07mom's got, you know, the job back that she wants at the rate
- 30:09that she wants and she's she can put her life back.
- 30:11Together, happy about it too. Like actually doing something
- 30:15like, she said something that was like really sad.
- 30:18She was like, if I'm not working, why am I here?
- 30:21Like, what am I doing? What am I?
- 30:24What am I living for? And I was like, oh, my God,
- 30:27yeah, you're fine. I mean.
- 30:28It's heavy. Yeah, I know, I know.
- 30:31When my grandpa was on his deathbed, there was nothing he
- 30:35wanted to do more than to get up and get out working in the
- 30:39field. Yeah, yeah.
- 30:42There were, there were many times where one of my uncles
- 30:45would come in and say, hey, this is what's going on.
- 30:47We're doing this, this and this. And you could see in his eyes as
- 30:51he was being described because he still kind of ran the farm,
- 30:55but he, he couldn't be out there.
- 30:58And you could see in his eyes it was like, no, Get Me Out of this
- 31:03damn bed. Get Me Out there to do some
- 31:06actual work. I'm done.
- 31:07Yeah. I'm tired of this.
- 31:09I'm, I'm, I'm ready to get back up and go.
- 31:12So I I get it. So moral is from the older
- 31:19generation and the people who have been through it, who can't
- 31:22work. If you can work, work because
- 31:27one day you won't be able to. And that's all you'll want to do
- 31:30because it is. It is independence and it is
- 31:32freedom and your boss sucks. Every boss sucks.
- 31:37Every. Boss so.
- 31:38Find a boss that doesn't suck as much and.
- 31:42Do that and it's okay to like job hop.
- 31:46I gotta keep telling myself that too.
- 31:48It's like. It's more than okay.
- 31:49It's the only way you're gonna survive.
- 31:52Yeah, like, especially now I've been told by a really hideous
- 31:58person that when I had just about turned 30 or something,
- 32:03she asked me. She's like, what are you doing
- 32:05with your life? Like, you don't even have a job.
- 32:07Like everybody else I know that's 30 or almost 30 has had a
- 32:12job for a really long time. And I'm like, well, I guess I'm
- 32:15a piece of shit. But I got to tell myself, like,
- 32:18you're not. You're just not there yet, you
- 32:22know? And you'll find it.
- 32:24I'll find it. That's the thing.
- 32:26We didn't do that standard stuff.
- 32:28We didn't go straight from high school to college.
- 32:31We had lives. Well, you had family to take
- 32:34care of. I did.
- 32:35So it's not like you had you had the option of just going, OK,
- 32:40I'm done with high school, straight to college.
- 32:41It's like you did do college, but you also took care of your
- 32:44family for two years. I.
- 32:46Did college bad too? Yeah, the.
- 32:48First run because you had other shit to do it.
- 32:51Was bad. I'll say.
- 32:53And then really bad. I've got everything that
- 32:55happened with me back in the day.
- 32:56And then, yeah, it was just one of those things where eventually
- 33:02you, you know, you get it back together and you go, all right,
- 33:05I got to, I got to focus on me for a little bit.
- 33:08And you find that one job and you go, wow, this works.
- 33:11This works well. Yeah, I think the, oh, sorry.
- 33:16I think the only job that I I really liked a lot that I would
- 33:20still stick with it to this day is the dance studio.
- 33:24Yeah, he's a great manager. Good boss.
- 33:27Great boss, great atmosphere. I mean, you had the crazy Dance
- 33:30Moms and everything like that, but it was literally like, even
- 33:35though there were days where I'm like, what am I doing here?
- 33:37Like I'm I'm not doing anything, it still made me happy.
- 33:40Yeah. And even though I went like only
- 33:42three days for like two or three hours, it still made me so
- 33:45happy. Yeah, it was.
- 33:46It was a net loss for you or a break even, but it was, it was
- 33:50something. It wasn't just the job.
- 33:52It was different. It was.
- 33:53It was. Something you would like it
- 33:55would. You love that job and that's,
- 33:57that's me. I, I'm hoping I find, I don't
- 34:00know, maybe I'll be, you know, a border for equestrian centers or
- 34:05something and that'll that'll make me happy finally, but who
- 34:09knows? I'll say would it editor We're.
- 34:13Working our way there. I would an editor for a well
- 34:16known, well paying YouTube channel make you happy?
- 34:23I don't. I don't think it would have to
- 34:26be specifically a well known YouTube if it was well paying
- 34:31and hours were reasonable because editing takes a long
- 34:35time. Like for for instance, one of
- 34:40these hour to an hour and a half long podcast episodes that we
- 34:45do, it can take me about two to three hours to to edit.
- 34:52It's because you're you're a bad editor, no.
- 34:58But that's that's all that's all in.
- 35:00So that would be like, since I haven't been doing the shorts
- 35:05recently, that's, you know, it takes a lot less time to edit
- 35:09this. But like if we were doing video,
- 35:13it would probably add another hour to two hours for just the
- 35:18video side of it and then add an hour in for the shorts being cut
- 35:24up. Now I could go in and probably
- 35:28use some AI tools, but at the same time I don't know if I want
- 35:32to pay for those because I've looked into them and they're all
- 35:36ridiculously expensive. And and if you had it as a job
- 35:39as like what we're saying, like I eventually find my, you know,
- 35:42my 4 O1 KD like actual benefits, a job doing something with
- 35:49animals or nature. And Amber finds her own company
- 35:53that she's built working on now. And you find a company that you
- 35:58like with a boss you like, with the pay, you like an 8 hour day
- 36:029 to 5 editing. I mean, is that, you know, does
- 36:05that make you happy? Yeah, absolutely.
- 36:10I like, I like being challenged and editing always presents a
- 36:16wealth of of challenges constantly.
- 36:21But the challenges are are usually always achievable.
- 36:25And if I can't figure it out myself, hell, there's 1.9
- 36:32billion YouTube videos that I could look up and figure it out
- 36:36that way. So the challenges are are a lot
- 36:42of problem solving, but at the same time they're achievable.
- 36:47Whereas like for instance, in sales, there's a lot of
- 36:50challenges and day-to-day most of those challenges that you
- 36:55come across may not even be achievable.
- 36:58Right. It's just you have to get over
- 37:02and at a certain point you become you.
- 37:06You have to become a scummy salesperson to get over it and.
- 37:09Right. Yep.
- 37:12Yeah, So it's yes, I I think through that whole spiel I did,
- 37:17I did, yes, I think editing 9 to 5, editing even 50 hours a week,
- 37:24even 60 hours a week. I would, I would love because I
- 37:27still do that. That's that's what I do to, you
- 37:32know. Technically a challenge.
- 37:37Of it. Technically a hobby.
- 37:39I mean you are building a brand and you are building a business
- 37:42with a Brownie bits. But it's like if you got paid
- 37:47for it through Brownie bits, you'd be, what do you think, as
- 37:52happy. I'll say the same same amount.
- 37:57If you got I would I would be, I, I mean, yes, it would be a
- 38:01job. There would be things that I
- 38:04would hate. You know, there would always be
- 38:08challenges that come up that I would not like.
- 38:10But I think the, the some of it all at the end of the day, yes,
- 38:17I would be way happier, way less stressed even I, I feel I would
- 38:26be challenged in such a way that my mind would feel I, I don't
- 38:33know the word I'm looking for accomplished or something along
- 38:37those lines. Like fulfilled, something along
- 38:40those lines. You know, I think that's yeah.
- 38:45And it's, it's one of those things where I noticed it at the
- 38:48last job. I know I'm noticing it.
- 38:51It started a couple weeks ago, but I've I've noticed it now
- 38:56with this now that I am technically out on my own, the
- 39:00stress is coming and I get home and I can't, I can't get up and
- 39:06do what I want to do. So it's like I'm already taking
- 39:11the stress for the job home with me.
- 39:13And it's not like that's that's awful.
- 39:19And that's my thing. I.
- 39:20Don't want that. If you're doing that now with a
- 39:22job you hate, imagine doing it with a job you love.
- 39:26You're still going to take the work home.
- 39:27You're still going to be burnt out.
- 39:28You're still going to be, you know, there are going to be
- 39:32those days where you're like, what?
- 39:33What the fuck? Like what the fuck?
- 39:35And. Yeah.
- 39:36And I totally, I totally get that.
- 39:39But it's worth it. But at the same time I I would
- 39:42feel more fulfilled doing that than.
- 39:47Being a scummy salesperson. Yeah, I'll tell you right now,
- 39:51dude, that marketing gig that I do, there are days where I just
- 39:57can't do it. I can't tell these people like
- 40:00you need this and that's the whole job.
- 40:04And I just can't do it after, you know, after so many days of
- 40:08doing it. It's one thing when when your,
- 40:13your boss says, Hey, don't, you're not supposed to do this
- 40:19paperwork this way. You need to do it this way so we
- 40:22make more money. It's one thing for that.
- 40:24But when I walk into the office and he says, Hey, what do you
- 40:30have going today? And I say this, this, this, this
- 40:33and I, I have to call this guy back to confirm or to see where
- 40:40he's at with the, the price I gave him for this job.
- 40:45And he goes, no, don't. If he's, if he's looking for a
- 40:50price, just let him look for a price.
- 40:51Don't call him back. You, you shouldn't want to sell
- 40:54that anyways. What do you?
- 40:58Mean. What?
- 40:59Yeah, because it wasn't in the category.
- 41:03So we have category A, which is one thing and it's the cheaper
- 41:11of the thing, but it's a reoccurring thing, you know, I'm
- 41:16sure you guys know what I'm talking about.
- 41:19Yeah, I don't. Yeah.
- 41:21Guy comes, does the thing and that's like a a monthly, every
- 41:26other month, you know, quarterly, whatever, he does the
- 41:29thing. And then we have another thing
- 41:32that makes more money that we push heavier because it makes
- 41:38the company way more money, way more money.
- 41:41And while it's not a monthly occurring thing, there is a
- 41:47yearly reoccurring payment. So you're still getting paid for
- 41:53that? Yeah, I.
- 41:55Get 1. I don't get a reoccurring.
- 41:58No, I know. I was saying like the company.
- 42:01So because the job that I pitched to this guy was in
- 42:06category A, my manager told me no, don't, don't even follow up
- 42:13with him because it's not worth our time.
- 42:17I'm trying to make a paycheck. What do you mean it's not worth
- 42:20our time? Who's who's out here paid?
- 42:24On selling that job. What's this week?
- 42:26Shit like, yeah, it's like, yes, it's worth my time if he, if I
- 42:32call him and because I called him and he says yes, because I
- 42:36called him and checked up on him, seeing how he's doing and
- 42:38you know where he's at if he has any questions, you know, and he
- 42:41likes the fact that I cared enough to ask him if he had any
- 42:45questions and wasn't pushing for the sale and said, yeah, let's
- 42:49sign up right now. And I get that whole job that I
- 42:51wouldn't have gotten if I didn't call.
- 42:54I get paid off of that. That makes a difference.
- 42:58Next month when I go out into the field, I'm not going to be
- 43:02making the base pay that I'm making right now because I'm
- 43:06training technically. The other thing that I'm
- 43:11honestly kind of annoyed with is I'm being told right now you
- 43:17need to go out into the field, do this.
- 43:20You know, you got to, you got to find, you know, ways to sell.
- 43:24You got to go knock on doors. You got to all this bull crap
- 43:28after they tell me don't fill your day with bull crap.
- 43:33Well, put this on there so that it looks like you're doing
- 43:35something. Well, that's that's the exact
- 43:38shit you're telling me not to do.
- 43:39Yeah. And then you're, you're
- 43:41literally blinking and telling me to do it.
- 43:43Turning like not even, not even taking a breath.
- 43:46You're telling me in the same breath.
- 43:48Nah, sad boss. That's one thing.
- 43:50Whereas I don't think it's a bad boss, I think it's a bad system.
- 43:56Company. Because that's being passed down
- 44:02all through the ranks. Yeah.
- 44:04I will say, I will say this though, there was a company that
- 44:08we worked for and we found out that one division of the company
- 44:14that we worked for doing the same job in another division is
- 44:18a completely different job because it was, it was three
- 44:22guys above us. The the guy 3 above us change
- 44:26the rules for one division doing the exact same job in a
- 44:31different area. So now that I'm in a new area
- 44:33and I'm doing a different division, completely different
- 44:36rules, same position. It's it's, it's bullshit, dude.
- 44:40It's crummy. Yeah, it's scummy and I hate it.
- 44:44So, so I'm at so basically with all that, the editing, I have AI
- 44:54have an end goal to, to meet. I will get paid technically,
- 45:00I'll get paid hourly based off of how it all works out and and
- 45:04and that type of stuff. But whatever.
- 45:06At that point it's, it's moot point because I know I'm making
- 45:11hourly, but I control that. I'm not going to have some boss
- 45:15over me saying, well, no, work on it for two or three more
- 45:18hours. So we make more money, not you.
- 45:20We make more money. No, I'm not.
- 45:22Going to have that because at the end of the day, yeah, I'll
- 45:25have a deadline. Hey, get it done here.
- 45:29But if I get it done in 10 hours and can present it to him faster
- 45:34so I can get more work or I have somebody telling me, no, don't
- 45:39do that because it's not worth our time.
- 45:42Not not your time because you're the one required.
- 45:47It's it's our company time. Yo, what's this?
- 45:50Our shit? I hate that.
- 45:51Yeah. It's yeah, it's it's bowl.
- 45:55It's complete and utter bowl. I did not like that.
- 45:58I honestly, I, I, I don't want to go into this.
- 46:04I have this meeting, final week of training thing happening at
- 46:10the end of the month. And even if I don't find a job
- 46:16this week or next week to cover it, I may just.
- 46:21OK, it's not for. You.
- 46:22Yeah, because I don't know if I want to go to Tampa and go
- 46:26through all that bull crap and not have the opportunity to to
- 46:32make more money. And not have a base pay because
- 46:35you're out of the training period.
- 46:37Well, that is my last week in the base pay, so I don't know
- 46:41what the other guys I am the in this group.
- 46:45I am the newest one. So the all these people that are
- 46:48going to Tampa for this training are all on the base pay that is
- 46:571 1/2 per what is it? Oh dear, 60. 6% less than what
- 47:03I'm making. OK, I get you.
- 47:06As a base pay, so I'm making, you know, three times more.
- 47:11A livable wage. Not no, no.
- 47:14No, not even that. With no SO.
- 47:18Sales. I know, I know.
- 47:20They gave me, they gave me. So this is what you make for the
- 47:23the month. OK, fine.
- 47:26When I look at my pay stub, they've marked it down as 40
- 47:30hours a week. So my day ends once I hit that 8
- 47:33hours and I've gotten told no, you can't do that.
- 47:36No, if you're paying me on my pay stub as 40 hours, I'm
- 47:40working 40 hours. I'm not working.
- 47:41Past. I'm not working extra.
- 47:43You're paying me exactly what I'm being paid.
- 47:47Is this the same company? Yeah.
- 47:50Oh my God, dude, you. You've hit like so many red
- 47:54flags. Yeah.
- 47:55Oh yeah, no. That's why, that's why I'm not
- 47:59even three months in and I'm like, I hate this.
- 48:01I genuinely hate this because it's.
- 48:03That alone. Everything that they told me it
- 48:06wasn't going to be. Yep.
- 48:08Just the pay alone every. Single sales job to AT oh, we're
- 48:14going to tell you this and then it's going to be completely
- 48:17different. I wouldn't mind.
- 48:22I was going to say I wouldn't mind sales, but I think what I
- 48:25mean is I wouldn't mind marketing because it's not
- 48:27sales. I'm marketing to get the leads.
- 48:31Not selling a product and then being told you have to be scummy
- 48:36to get the sale. It's like, no, I don't.
- 48:38No I don't. Yeah, it's marketing is one
- 48:42thing and I, I think, I think I wouldn't mind necessarily
- 48:50marketing, but. It's a blast.
- 48:53Turning around and yeah, it, it, it can be.
- 48:58I I don't know. Marketing can just scummy.
- 49:02Can be that's some of these days.
- 49:03Dude, I just have to back. I'm like, I can't, I cannot do
- 49:06this like this AI person that they want me to be.
- 49:13Oh, you're a completely different person in the boot.
- 49:14No a completely. Different person.
- 49:16It's still me. It's still.
- 49:17Mine, but it's like he he's not like what most marketing people
- 49:22are, but it's the marketer that you want, if that makes sense.
- 49:27Like, rather than going up or getting greeted by somebody like
- 49:32hi, no, he doesn't even really have that.
- 49:36No, it's me, but it's a, it's a different like side.
- 49:41He's not pushy, that's the thing.
- 49:44The. Customer service voice.
- 49:46It's not not, not not the stereotypical.
- 49:49When I am home, I am one person. When I worked for the
- 49:53restaurant, I was a completely different person.
- 49:56Like temperament wise, if that makes sense.
- 50:01I, I would not act like this to a customer like it.
- 50:07The way I act in this podcast would be completely different.
- 50:10My voice goes up a little bit. I am the way I hold my body.
- 50:16I'm more approachable. You know, it's I, I don't want
- 50:21to say family friendly version of myself.
- 50:24Oh yeah, yeah, that's it. Yeah, absolutely.
- 50:29So it's it's the more approachable version of me.
- 50:33Say and I'll definitely. Yeah, I'll tell people to fuck
- 50:37off, right? Exactly what I was going to say.
- 50:39Like I'll come back out if I need to, but 90% of the time,
- 50:43like you said, it's it's PG 7. Like, yeah.
- 50:46I'm, I'm, I'm here to make you feel more comfortable about
- 50:50talking to me because I know this is a stressful situation.
- 50:54Yeah. So I'm not here to make you
- 50:55stressed out, but the moment I turn around and I walk back to
- 50:59my car and I get in my car, that mask comes right the fuck off.
- 51:03Yeah, that motherfucker, you know, you know.
- 51:07That's the other thing I have learned because you'll you'll
- 51:11service what, four or five a day?
- 51:17Yeah, they want, they want me to have five specific.
- 51:23But he's like talking to them for an hour or two at least,
- 51:27yeah. Yeah, so.
- 51:28Yeah, it it could be more like the the sale I made the other
- 51:33Wednesday. The sale I made, I was there for
- 51:352 1/2 hours. I'll tell you what, man, you,
- 51:39you want to learn how to be fully confident in yourself in
- 51:42the face of repeated rejection. And I'm talking like constant
- 51:49barrage of rejection. Before you get a yes.
- 51:52I'm talking 1000 Nos before you get a yes, Yeah, I'm talking we.
- 51:57We'll do a show where there's, you know, there's 10,000 people
- 52:01that came through this building. There were 10,000 people that
- 52:05walked in front of me and I greeted and said hello or made a
- 52:10pitch to. Them every.
- 52:13Single person who walked by that booth, we have to, that's what
- 52:17we have to do. Every single person.
- 52:19You have to hit every single person and that's the game.
- 52:22It's it's 1000 no's with 30 yeses and two sales.
- 52:26And that's OK because the sales are great.
- 52:28So I'm the guy that gets you your two your two appointments.
- 52:32I'm that guy. Like, yeah, but that's I'll tell
- 52:36you what dude, going through literally 10,000 people in one
- 52:41day getting told no or just fully ignored.
- 52:46You stop giving a shit. I don't care how people reject
- 52:50me. You know, it just, it's
- 52:51whatever. I just brush it off and move on.
- 52:54I feel I could take that a lot better.
- 52:58Yeah. And door knocking.
- 53:01I don't think I did door knock. Point yeah, I did door knocking
- 53:05I it was awful Every everything that you could imagine it would
- 53:10be it it is I. Hated it.
- 53:12Every worst part of the sales job is is door knocking and
- 53:17yeah, no, it it was very similar, but I didn't see nearly
- 53:21that many people in a week. But you still you, you might be
- 53:27able to get in the door with one person.
- 53:29Yeah, a week. You know, if you're lucky.
- 53:33I, I do like certain. I do like the, I don't even know
- 53:37how to say it. The how do I even explain that I
- 53:41like the model that our company has because we we go to places
- 53:48where people are going to that place to get a certain problem
- 53:51fixed and where they are to solve that problem.
- 53:54Like, yes, it's literally we didn't go to you, we didn't
- 53:59barge in on your dinner. Like none of that shit.
- 54:02You came here. And normally it's a lot less
- 54:06aggressive and confrontational if they they're coming here to
- 54:10get information on something and you present that information.
- 54:13Specifically for homes like homes and homes home owners.
- 54:17Like even if you cut them off mid sentence, talking to
- 54:20somebody else, because you're, you know, I, I want you to look
- 54:23at me. I need the, I need the
- 54:25interaction before I can, you know, lead into this thing.
- 54:29And even if you interrupt them, they're like, oh, hey, how are
- 54:33you? Like, we haven't been around
- 54:35the, the circuit yet and you're the third guy I've talked to.
- 54:39It's like, all right, cool. And then you just get into it.
- 54:41But it's, it's a lot. I, I couldn't, I don't know,
- 54:44door knocking. That's, that's tough.
- 54:49Dude did. Not like it, yeah.
- 54:51Now I, I, I like the fact that I can have call insurance and then
- 55:00I can go run that. Yeah.
- 55:03You know, lead or I have, you know, one of these starts start
- 55:10services that I can go to and say, hey, you get this for free.
- 55:15That's what I'm here to do. Are you OK with me doing that
- 55:18today? And typically, because they're
- 55:21already getting this full inclusive start that is going to
- 55:25take a while, they're like, yeah, yeah, go ahead, do it.
- 55:27You know, cool. So I can get in the door and
- 55:31actually do that, what I'm trying to do, and then present.
- 55:35So it's a lot less me going up and knocking on the door.
- 55:39Hey, do you want to free one of these to get my foot in the
- 55:44door? Hell no.
- 55:45Get the fuck off my property. You know, like, yeah.
- 55:49I also, I do like that we're both doing something that is
- 55:54noble's not the word. That's way too much.
- 55:57It's it's honest. Listen, Yeah.
- 56:00I'm here to give you a product that you asked for.
- 56:03I did not, you know, I didn't cold call you.
- 56:05I didn't door knock you. I didn't.
- 56:07I didn't just throw this in your face while you were doing
- 56:09something. You came to me and.
- 56:11It's a it's, it's a legitimate like help.
- 56:15Well, if you're knocking, you came to them.
- 56:17You're not selling them a dog shit Kia that's going to break
- 56:21in 20,000 miles and you know it's going to break because the
- 56:24whole shop's full of them. Selling them to go through this
- 56:27process of insurance to try and scam the insurance company into
- 56:34giving you a new roof and having to deal with the headache that
- 56:36that brings. You're not dealing with the
- 56:40insurance company to replace your windshield.
- 56:43You know, any number of things. You're not dealing.
- 56:45You're not dealing with politicians telling them to give
- 56:49you, you know, anything. Can you hear it So.
- 56:53Oh, OK, that's interesting. Technical difficulties.
- 56:59So I can you can. See you fine like a robot I.
- 57:06Can see you fine and here you find.
- 57:07It's it's your Internet. Yeah, through the Mac been.
- 57:09Doing it. But through her phone.
- 57:14Is a robot. It's frozen.
- 57:16That's funny. Anyway, yeah, and that does
- 57:20happen because Discord. All the time.
- 57:22Well, that's Discord and out here, dude, we are out here like
- 57:26we need to get what's that one? The star Starlink, Yeah.
- 57:30Somebody had Starlink, they said.
- 57:33It was really great. Did you ask me a question?
- 57:36Impressive. Did you ask me a question?
- 57:39When? No.
- 57:41Earlier. Oh, because it sounded like in a
- 57:43robot was you were. No, it was.
- 57:45It was just. I was.
- 57:50I was just describing different scenarios of door knockers.
- 57:55Yeah. So that's fine.
- 57:57Me as your. Sleep paralysis demon Amber.
- 58:04Justin, you are my sleep paralysis demon.
- 58:07I can't tell you how many. Times I was in your room and you
- 58:10didn't wake up. Like no, don't.
- 58:12Do that. Don't do that.
- 58:15Don't do that naked. I'm the one who's naked.
- 58:20You're sleeping clothes and I'm standing naked like this.
- 58:23Skippity. So Starlink, I'm going to have
- 58:29nightmares tonight. I'm not going to be able to
- 58:31sleep. My aunt actually has it.
- 58:34The first time I messed with Starlink was when I went to my
- 58:39cousin's wedding and stayed with my aunt because they have
- 58:43they're out in the middle of nowhere to the point where
- 58:46Verizon doesn't have service. But for like back in the day
- 58:51like the not 3G, not 2G, just bars, just just bars.
- 58:57Wow. So you can't even text.
- 59:00You can get the occasional text message come in, but you won't
- 59:02be able to send anything out. Yeah, Nebraska.
- 59:05Nebraska's rural man. No, it's North Dakota.
- 59:12Oh, North Dakota, That's right. Oh my gosh.
- 59:16But yeah, so they're out in the middle of nowhere and I got to
- 59:20see that and it it's genuinely good.
- 59:23Genuinely good. I heard it's perfect and I think
- 59:26they just hit like 1010 thousand satellites or something.
- 59:32It it looks insane. It looks like he's making a
- 59:36Dyson sphere. Kinda, yeah.
- 59:40Yeah. So I I'll probably look into it.
- 59:43Like everything else, he starts with the oh man, I already
- 59:49forgot the roadster for 130,000 I think.
- 59:53And then he went to the Model S and then he went to the model.
- 59:56Was it the three or the EI think it was the three and then the X
- 1:00:01and the Y and and slowly but surely he'll work his way down
- 1:00:05to people who you know, can finally afford this stuff.
- 1:00:10And it's it is genuinely good shit like America made.
- 1:00:14It's like quality stuff and they have like issues with fitment,
- 1:00:21like issues with Tesla's, but the technology behind it for 30
- 1:00:26what, 36,000 right now? Like that's insane.
- 1:00:31It's genuinely crazy because my SUV, a brand new one of of my
- 1:00:39exact model of SUV is in that 30 to $35,000 range.
- 1:00:45So it's like the technology that's in there is genuinely
- 1:00:49good and a reasonable price for what it is.
- 1:00:56I'd like to sell Starlink, that'd be that'd be good.
- 1:01:02I think Starlink has so many great features because it's not
- 1:01:06just a stick it on your home and you can't take it like I can't
- 1:01:10take my my fiber out of the home with me.
- 1:01:13You can literally take the satellite or the the translator
- 1:01:17down. I know there's a mini, that's
- 1:01:19the one that I've seen. Well, you can, from my
- 1:01:22understanding, most of them you can take down and like hook it
- 1:01:26onto your car and now it's following you wherever you go.
- 1:01:30So you can literally, what was, you know, what was $10,000 15
- 1:01:36years ago was in car Wi-Fi. And I know they can do it now
- 1:01:40with the Chevy's that we've been in.
- 1:01:42We have Wi-Fi in those, but it's not the same like it's Wi-Fi.
- 1:01:47That's dog shit. Yeah, it's garbage.
- 1:01:51Oh my God, I just my my my car isn't all that bad because it
- 1:01:57has gotten better. I have.
- 1:01:59I have used it to edit and and do different things when I
- 1:02:04needed to on the road so that was genuinely helpful.
- 1:02:08But would I trust it full time? No, no.
- 1:02:12Definitely not. Because it would be no different
- 1:02:14than going and buying one of those hot spots.
- 1:02:18That's what we had to do. We literally were stuck in the
- 1:02:21apartment and everything was down.
- 1:02:23Like everybody's everything was down.
- 1:02:25And I'm like, I'll just go get another service on a different,
- 1:02:28like completely different hotspot with a different service
- 1:02:30with a different SIM. And it worked.
- 1:02:32But you know, it's, it's only 20 gigs of yeah.
- 1:02:36You don't want to do it all the time.
- 1:02:38No, Starlink, it's they're going to think we're sponsored, yeah.
- 1:02:43Yeah, well, hey. I wish you on.
- 1:02:46Give me a call, man. 17 cents split three ways.
- 1:02:52So good. Give us give us All Star link.
- 1:02:57It's funny because a joke about the $0.17 as being like what we
- 1:03:00made on the podcast, we haven't made that.
- 1:03:02I want to point that out like we haven't made anything.
- 1:03:05The $0.17 is a joke. Like we haven't even made that.
- 1:03:11It's so funny. I've.
- 1:03:12Spent. Share us out guys.
- 1:03:14Yeah, I've spent money on this. I am I am excited to where we
- 1:03:21can actually like do something with it.
- 1:03:25I know the podcast is the podcast that.
- 1:03:28Thank you, Ryan. That's why people listen like.
- 1:03:32That's what he wanted to hear. Because the podcast is the
- 1:03:35podcast. Like it's special for for some
- 1:03:37reason it's special. I don't know what it is yet, but
- 1:03:40it is. But I still would like to do
- 1:03:42like I referenced him earlier, Brandon Ferris, like they do a
- 1:03:46Couch Fish podcast, but they also do their regular videos.
- 1:03:49Like I want to do that. I want to do like the podcast
- 1:03:52videos. I will watch anything it's
- 1:03:57Cameron is the dude that he does the.
- 1:03:59Yes, yeah, I. Bought the things that Amazon
- 1:04:03recommended me. Like any time I see those two
- 1:04:07together I will watch that entire video 'cause it is always
- 1:04:10the most ridiculous bull crap you could possibly think, but
- 1:04:14the most entertaining videos. Yeah, it's so entertaining.
- 1:04:17It's. So good, so entertaining, and
- 1:04:20it's. Real.
- 1:04:21It's when when, when he jumps out of a tub of Lube and just
- 1:04:28like flaps his hair back. It's just, it's so good,
- 1:04:33genuine, funny. They're they're great.
- 1:04:37The autism is real though. Oh yeah, the autism.
- 1:04:40Autism in a minute and I need to bring it back so the autism is
- 1:04:44real well. He's he's got a son that who is
- 1:04:47actually autistic like non verbal autistic.
- 1:04:51I meant no disrespect. I'm.
- 1:04:53No, he knows. I'll say he he talks.
- 1:04:55They just had a baby recently. I think they have three kids who
- 1:05:02Oh, OK. I I think he has three kids.
- 1:05:04He's. Not a stalker, I just know where
- 1:05:06he lives. I saw a video, I think it was on
- 1:05:10Facebook or something, and like it was her daughter.
- 1:05:13I guess it's his daughter now too.
- 1:05:15And then they had a boy. And then they had another baby
- 1:05:18in a high chair. Could be some babies.
- 1:05:25I think you you can genuinely say that that's at least his his
- 1:05:32daughter with air quotations because of the way he treats
- 1:05:35her. Oh.
- 1:05:35Yeah. And just all the things like
- 1:05:38that girl has such a great role model in him that's willing to
- 1:05:44be as goofy as all get out. He he grinded for it too, man,
- 1:05:51he did. I think he did.
- 1:05:52Seven years of carve logs and then finally it it just it hit
- 1:05:58one day and it worked. Him, him opening that, that,
- 1:06:04what is it? Herring.
- 1:06:06That fermented herring. Have.
- 1:06:09You seen that? Yes, he has the the fish.
- 1:06:12Strontium or whatever, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:14Where he opens it in the car, it's so.
- 1:06:19I can't do it. You don't want me to make the
- 1:06:21noise are. You sure?
- 1:06:25Two podcasts in a row where we've got her thrown out.
- 1:06:28Before before we we take this to the logical endpoint, I I have
- 1:06:36created a secondary Thanks hated it reacts playlist for Amber
- 1:06:44specifically. I call it videos to make Amber
- 1:06:48cringe. Brother I literally have a save.
- 1:06:54I literally have a save thing on my channels.
- 1:06:57What I watch. It's literally I save it to
- 1:06:59podcast cringe. Oh.
- 1:07:00My God. I have a whole stack.
- 1:07:03I'm just waiting to do it. I'm telling you, man, we need to
- 1:07:06do it. We need to do it.
- 1:07:07I've been trying to get as soon we need to get you guys a
- 1:07:12camera. Stable Internet connection.
- 1:07:16And stable Internet connection. Yeah, no, I've got, I've got I I
- 1:07:22should break it up into multiple like playlists, but I've got a
- 1:07:26whole bunch of different categories of videos.
- 1:07:29I say we just throw it at the wall for the first one.
- 1:07:31Do you know what I mean? Just do it.
- 1:07:33Do it, Do it, Do it, Do it, Get it done.
- 1:07:35Yeah, We just have to get it done and then we'll get our
- 1:07:38groove going because that's usually how we do things.
- 1:07:40Let's just throw it at the wall and if it works, great.
- 1:07:43If it doesn't, adjust it and we'll move on.
- 1:07:45But no, we need to just. We need to do it.
- 1:07:47I. Hate this.
- 1:07:48So I I want her to play, I want her to play Arachnophobia.
- 1:07:52No, I don't even want her to play Phaz Phobia, because that
- 1:07:55one's like a Phaznophobia. About this Oh.
- 1:07:58So I want to do arachnophobia because that's going to be a
- 1:08:00good one. And then?
- 1:08:02I'm not doing it I. Want to play like Goat
- 1:08:05simulator? He wants to play the one where
- 1:08:08we played in the house, the sexy thing.
- 1:08:12Oh yeah? What was that?
- 1:08:14It was, dude, I can't even remember.
- 1:08:16It was something like it was on Steam.
- 1:08:18You know what it is. You know exactly what it is.
- 1:08:21I don't. It's like a story time with
- 1:08:24porn. Yeah, it's like, I don't even
- 1:08:26know. I don't even know what they're
- 1:08:28called. We got.
- 1:08:29A show, literally. Just called porn.
- 1:08:30It's like porn game, yeah. Oh my.
- 1:08:34Gosh, I think one of them was like tit farm.
- 1:08:37Tit farm. Yeah, something like that.
- 1:08:39Yeah, it's good stuff. So I saw I think I saw like a
- 1:08:42Johnny Harris video and he was like, what are these games?
- 1:08:45Like let's dive in and actually figure out what the hell this
- 1:08:48is. So I was like, is it just like,
- 1:08:51is it just there? Is it just on Steam?
- 1:08:54You can just you could just download this.
- 1:08:57There's no like there's no like Pornhub, but for games.
- 1:09:00You know what I mean there. It's just on the regular Steam
- 1:09:03website. You do have to.
- 1:09:04It's just on there. You do have to buy it to like go
- 1:09:06through more episodes and stuff like that.
- 1:09:09But like, you and I game. You and I did it when we were
- 1:09:12living at your house. Oh yeah.
- 1:09:15In the living room. We were watching it and I was
- 1:09:17like, Oh my God. Brian just filed.
- 1:09:19My living. I was like, if Brian comes in
- 1:09:22right now, what? Are you?
- 1:09:24Talking about not with me I'm. Telling you I walked in not by
- 1:09:27myself. Sleep paralysis, Jay.
- 1:09:29Just came in his bed. Like no, but we played this one
- 1:09:33game and now like it's all that's on your Steam.
- 1:09:37Oh yeah, if you go on my Steam, it's like every 6th title, it's
- 1:09:40like here, here's a porn game. I didn't want this, I just
- 1:09:43wanted to see what it was. The game was stupid though it
- 1:09:46was. Dumb as shit.
- 1:09:47That's that's for the the buy me a coffee the the subscriber
- 1:09:52exclusive videos. Yes.
- 1:09:54The ones we can't post regular, Yes, absolutely.
- 1:09:57You'll love it. We're going to go through.
- 1:10:00We're going to go through. Tit Farm.
- 1:10:03Yeah, tit farm. And we're going to get our
- 1:10:04reactions and we're all going to play it together.
- 1:10:07And literally like as we play it, we will record the reactions
- 1:10:10because I'm telling you what dude, if the first one we like
- 1:10:14looked at that one game, we looked at when when it became
- 1:10:17like the scene, what the fuck are you talking?
- 1:10:22About like it's. Just there, dude.
- 1:10:24From the guy's view. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:26What the hell is happening? It's crazy.
- 1:10:29It's it if you're a girl and you're listening to this and you
- 1:10:32want to know what it's like to be a guy, watch it.
- 1:10:37Nobody does. They're not wrong.
- 1:10:40I don't think it. We didn't do tit farm I.
- 1:10:42Think it's something worse. It's like milking tit farm or
- 1:10:45something. It's so.
- 1:10:46Bad. Boob farm boob.
- 1:10:48Farm, that's it. Oh my God, it's so bad.
- 1:10:51Yeah look on Steam. It's hilarious.
- 1:10:53Yeah 'cause I was like, there's no way.
- 1:10:55There's no way they can just like have porn like they're so
- 1:11:00against. As long as there's as long as
- 1:11:03there's an age limit, they can. You just click that.
- 1:11:07Yes, I'm 18 years old. Which is what the porn companies
- 1:11:11used to do. You just click yes.
- 1:11:13So yeah, I agree it's on the parents.
- 1:11:16I just saying don't kids use steam stream steam that's.
- 1:11:20What I'm saying, that's why I was like, what do you mean?
- 1:11:22It's just. Blame the parents.
- 1:11:24They're like, that's crazy, but but not in a bad way.
- 1:11:27It was just surprising. I was like, I can't believe
- 1:11:29Steam's like based, coded like that.
- 1:11:31Like that's awesome. Steam is based.
- 1:11:35Yeah, it's a there. There's a chance that it'll
- 1:11:41change, but we'll see. Yeah, on that stuff, on that
- 1:11:47note, thank you guys so much for watch or for listening, not
- 1:11:50watching. Hi, you messed up.
- 1:11:52If you're just listening, Brian, I'm not.
- 1:11:54Used to this. We're watching each other so.
- 1:12:00Send send me some videos of reacts.
- 1:12:08Oh my God. That's what it would look like.
- 1:12:11We're going. To have to do it, we're going to
- 1:12:13have to do it. We're going to have to do video
- 1:12:15on the next time we we can as soon as we can get video.
- 1:12:19On the podcast, you're so creepy.
- 1:12:24I'm doing the Skivity thing, but I'm also the demon from What's
- 1:12:27that movie? We were talking about it the
- 1:12:28other day, not Paranormal Activity, the other one,
- 1:12:31Insidious. So like, do you see the
- 1:12:35silhouette of the Insidious demon like with the horns and
- 1:12:37like the really long fingers, and then you flick the light on
- 1:12:40and it's just me standing there like this, like.
- 1:12:42My sleep paralysis is that Babadook?
- 1:12:46The black, the Black Hat, the Babadook.
