Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio. We are
- 0:06Speaker 1: back almost famous and I have got faith here. This
- 0:09Speaker 1: is Trista by the way, for anyone listening. I'm filling
- 0:11Speaker 1: in for Ben and Ashley who had to get back home.
- 0:15Speaker 1: So I'm here and I'm so lucky to be here
- 0:18Speaker 1: with Faith. How are you good? There couldn't be a
- 0:21Speaker 1: better fill in.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Ah, You're the best. Really, I'm honored to be able
- 0:24Speaker 2: to talk with you.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Thank you. How are you? I'm good?
- 0:29Speaker 2: You know, I'm surprisingly better than I thought.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Okay, good, I too. I feel so great.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I'm loving this whole adventure opportunity. Yes, to just be
- 0:39Speaker 2: part of something so beautiful and it was amazing.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Last night was amazing and really fun.
- 0:45Speaker 2: And to connect with everybody in the Bachelor Nation and
- 0:48Speaker 2: to see Gary and Teresa so happy, and they walked
- 0:50Speaker 2: in this morning and they're like, you know, they're just
- 0:52Speaker 2: settling in and finally together.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Yeah. So yeah, it's beautiful. Little because I was gonna say,
- 0:59Speaker 1: because the night before we were talking and the feelings
- 1:03Speaker 1: are still there. You can't just shut off feelings, right.
- 1:07Speaker 2: It's perplexing to me because you know, right from the
- 1:12Speaker 2: get go, Gary and Teresa and I would talk on
- 1:14Speaker 2: the phone when it was out that they were together,
- 1:16Speaker 2: and I, ahead of time, love them both, and you know,
- 1:20Speaker 2: Teresa and Gary and I are very transparent with our feelings.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Teresa'd be like, he loves you so much, and I'm like,
- 1:25Speaker 2: I love him too, and I love you and we're
- 1:27Speaker 2: gonna be friends for life, right, And They're like, yeah,
- 1:29Speaker 2: so we call and check in with each other all
- 1:31Speaker 2: the time. Very sweet, but I'm you know even that
- 1:35Speaker 2: still I would be like so excited, so happy for them,
- 1:38Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden I had to go
- 1:40Speaker 2: in the bathroom and cry for a little bit. And
- 1:41Speaker 2: then then I would come back out and I would
- 1:44Speaker 2: tell Teresa a text her tell me how happy you
- 1:46Speaker 2: are and how great this is going to be.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Because then my heart will heal.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Every time I talk to her or him and hear
- 1:52Speaker 2: about the hope for their future, my heart got.
- 1:55Speaker 1: More and more healed.
- 1:57Speaker 2: But you know, it's still a little bit because I
- 2:00Speaker 2: so was so in love with him, and I don't
- 2:02Speaker 2: know that I would ever find those qualities in another manner,
- 2:05Speaker 2: you know. So I felt the loss for sure, but
- 2:08Speaker 2: I'm super excited for them both.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Do you feel like when you came on the show.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Do you feel like you were very hopeful you found
- 2:16Speaker 1: it and your heart was broken? Yeah, do you feel
- 2:20Speaker 1: that that hope was diminished at all? You know, I
- 2:26Speaker 1: think that.
- 2:30Speaker 2: You go all in with your heart, you know, you
- 2:32Speaker 2: go all in, and I think an immediate reaction is Okay,
- 2:36Speaker 2: I'm you know, I'm done. I'm just gonna I'm just
- 2:39Speaker 2: gonna be done. You know this, this didn't work. I'm
- 2:42Speaker 2: just gonna be done.
- 2:43Speaker 1: And then when you.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Think about it and you really let it sink in,
- 2:46Speaker 2: because initially, when your heart's broke, of course you go there.
- 2:49Speaker 2: You know, you're kind of like, okay, I'm done.
- 2:51Speaker 1: That was so yeah. Yeah.
- 2:52Speaker 2: But then when I think about it, I think, you know,
- 2:55Speaker 2: the fact that it allowed me to feel again and
- 2:58Speaker 2: to know that.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I had heart that.
- 3:01Speaker 2: That wasn't dead inside, that I actually could muster up
- 3:05Speaker 2: those feelings and I have that in my heart made
- 3:08Speaker 2: me think, okay, I am still alive and really, yeah,
- 3:11Speaker 2: I just got to look at it differently, So, you know,
- 3:14Speaker 2: it takes a little prodding every now and then I think, yes,
- 3:17Speaker 2: I'm going to get back out there and start, you know,
- 3:19Speaker 2: trying to date with purpose and find my person. But yeah,
- 3:25Speaker 2: of course when you get your heart broke, that's the
- 3:26Speaker 2: first defense. Of course, of course I am hopeful for
- 3:30Speaker 2: the future because it is like grieving. You go through
- 3:32Speaker 2: the stages of grief, you get angry or denial, you know,
- 3:35Speaker 2: all of those things, and I just hope you get
- 3:38Speaker 2: to the place where you truly feel like I feel
- 3:42Speaker 2: like I will. I you know, I'm hopeful. I haven't
- 3:45Speaker 2: been on a date yet or anything.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Yeah, but I have flirted a little bit.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Okay, go, I have somebody that I was really really
- 3:53Speaker 2: flirting with a little and I actually was feeling like, yeah,
- 3:56Speaker 2: it would be so fun to meet up with that mu.
- 3:58Speaker 1: So, yeah, who lives in your town? No? No, did
- 4:02Speaker 1: you meet through GM. I'm not going to say, oh,
- 4:05Speaker 1: it might be somebody we know it might be.
- 4:08Speaker 2: But here's the thing, you know, and to clarify, so
- 4:11Speaker 2: I never said I wouldn't move. I said I said
- 4:15Speaker 2: it's important that a person knows my pull to my community,
- 4:19Speaker 2: to my kids, to my grandkids, Like, I'm not gonna lie.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I'm not a person that could see their kids twice
- 4:24Speaker 2: a year.
- 4:24Speaker 1: That's not me.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I would share time. I would love to get an
- 4:28Speaker 2: RV and travel between two places. I'd love to live
- 4:30Speaker 2: in a central location that was warm and sunny in
- 4:33Speaker 2: the winter, and you know, I would love to just
- 4:35Speaker 2: have that with somebody that I was in love with. So,
- 4:39Speaker 2: you know, you just never know how that looks back.
- 4:41Speaker 1: You just never know. Yeah, okay, well I'm going to
- 4:44Speaker 1: be very on the edge of my seat. Yeah me too,
- 4:50Speaker 1: Me too. What happened? So? Did you have fun? I
- 4:53Speaker 1: do close it down.
- 4:54Speaker 2: No, I didn't close it down because you know, I've
- 4:57Speaker 2: learned my lesson with that.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I knew. We had the brunch, but I did dance
- 5:00Speaker 1: for two hours.
- 5:01Speaker 2: The band was amazing, amazing. Yes, now, let me clarify
- 5:06Speaker 2: the band at the second reception. Okay, the first one,
- 5:10Speaker 2: but the Yeah, the band that we all saw in
- 5:14Speaker 2: our private reception was amazing. They played oh yeah, so yes,
- 5:21Speaker 2: me too. I danced for like two hours, and then
- 5:24Speaker 2: they were going to serve dinner and I'm like, I
- 5:26Speaker 2: want to get out of my clothes and I want
- 5:29Speaker 2: to wash my face, you know, So so I did.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I went home and just hung out and then the
- 5:33Speaker 2: party crew got the party got over it.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I don't know what timeh and I went to bed
- 5:37Speaker 1: at midnight.
- 5:38Speaker 2: I think everybody was partying outside my doors what they
- 5:41Speaker 2: were doing, but that was okay too.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I slept right through it. It was so much fun.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I love a wedding because I love first and foremost,
- 6:02Speaker 1: but I love a wedding because it's like celebratory. And
- 6:06Speaker 1: as you might have seen last night, my husband was
- 6:09Speaker 1: you know, he does not like.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Doesn't You're sitting at the table that I was at,
- 6:13Speaker 2: and you were off dancing.
- 6:15Speaker 1: As per usual. That's my groove, Like I just I
- 6:22Speaker 1: was a dancer. I love being on the dance floor
- 6:24Speaker 1: and just letting loose. And it was the night to
- 6:27Speaker 1: do it because that band great exercise. Yes, exercise, that's
- 6:31Speaker 1: so true. I was actually there were so many songs
- 6:35Speaker 1: that and it's not just the dancing part, like singing
- 6:38Speaker 1: these songs. Yes, we know all the words.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I'm saying some of those songs in my band, so
- 6:46Speaker 2: I was like singing right.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Along with them, Like that's crazy. I should have gotten
- 6:49Speaker 1: you in the mic. Oh no, you know what I
- 6:51Speaker 1: got to say? What's so fun?
- 6:53Speaker 2: And I know this sounds crazy, but the younger generations
- 6:56Speaker 2: of all the Bachelor nations, Yeah, I am in love
- 6:58Speaker 2: with all of them and Braiden's proposal.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I mean, so there are mixed reviews out there about
- 7:07Speaker 1: the proposal. So so, like Ben earlier, we were talking
- 7:12Speaker 1: about this and his wife had called him and said
- 7:16Speaker 1: that she didn't think it was appropriate that you were
- 7:19Speaker 1: that someone got engaged up stage. You know, I would
- 7:23Speaker 1: let go of that.
- 7:23Speaker 2: You're like whatever, you know, love is a beautiful thing,
- 7:26Speaker 2: no matter where it's at. I highly doubt that that
- 7:29Speaker 2: Teresa and Gary feel upstage right. I would say that's silly.
- 7:35Speaker 2: But everybody's entitled to their room feelings. So I thought
- 7:37Speaker 2: it was so beautiful because it is so real and
- 7:40Speaker 2: so gorgeous, and to see Braden go through his journey
- 7:43Speaker 2: and find her and they are just I love them,
- 7:47Speaker 2: and you know, so fun to see Dawnton and cheering,
- 7:50Speaker 2: and then all the beautiful couples and all the beautiful
- 7:54Speaker 2: people on this show that are just, oh my gosh,
- 7:58Speaker 2: just amazing people.
- 8:00Speaker 1: It's so fun.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I've just fallen in love with all these younger generations.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Love love, love Rachel. And what a badass she is.
- 8:06Speaker 2: She's a pilot. Oh my god, she's brilliant, she's gorgeous,
- 8:10Speaker 2: and how has she not found love?
- 8:12Speaker 1: Right, but she will, she will, she will. It's coming.
- 8:15Speaker 1: All those all those people who have paved the way
- 8:18Speaker 1: for her, She'll find She'll find them. I guarantee it. Yes,
- 8:23Speaker 1: I love the family. It's beautiful. And what's funny is
- 8:28Speaker 1: I'm flashing back to when I came to the Bachelor
- 8:30Speaker 1: Mansion and met you for the first time, and you
- 8:33Speaker 1: were like, yeah, I.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Know I'm so lame, but yeah, everybody want the same
- 8:38Speaker 2: thing with Jesse. Jesse walks in, I'm like, it's some
- 8:41Speaker 2: guy in a suit. And then.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I told people after that that I loved you because
- 8:50Speaker 1: you were really You're like, I haven't watched the show.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. I'm like, you never have to apologize
- 8:55Speaker 1: to me. Anyone who is listening to this ever do
- 8:58Speaker 1: you have to apologize? But I bye. But to saying
- 9:04Speaker 1: that you're sorry that you didn't watch the show, it's okay, yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. But I love that you just said
- 9:11Speaker 1: that when we first met, like, I'm so sorry, I
- 9:13Speaker 1: haven't watched the show, and now you're like, oh my gosh,
- 9:16Speaker 1: and I love it so much.
- 9:17Speaker 2: And so I had asked Katie, if I was to
- 9:19Speaker 2: start watching, where would I watch, Like I don't even
- 9:21Speaker 2: know where to find these shows. And so Katie goes, no, watch,
- 9:25Speaker 2: Katie goes watch the Bachelorette. I loved it, and then
- 9:30Speaker 2: I've watched everything I can possibly see, so like I'll
- 9:33Speaker 2: see these people in the crowd and Bacheloration. I'm like,
- 9:35Speaker 2: I know you, I saw you. I saw you, And
- 9:38Speaker 2: I don't know which season you know. So they're like,
- 9:39Speaker 2: I'm so and so from season nine, I'm so and
- 9:41Speaker 2: so from two thousand, I'm Ben's season. I watched the
- 9:45Speaker 2: other Ben. I'm watching season now. So I think it's
- 9:48Speaker 2: so fun. It's like, oh my god, my whole life
- 9:50Speaker 2: could be binge watching the Bochler from here on.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I love it. So it's the best show ever.
- 9:56Speaker 2: I'm wondering how long it would take from I don't know,
- 9:58Speaker 2: I'm gonna I have not seen in your season?
- 10:01Speaker 1: Do you know you have them all? She has all
- 10:05Speaker 1: of that, okay, because the.
- 10:06Speaker 2: When when the guys came out the first night on
- 10:08Speaker 2: the show and they introduced all their producers to us,
- 10:11Speaker 2: and I said, can we like get a box set
- 10:13Speaker 2: of the because like, like how do we find these
- 10:17Speaker 2: you know.
- 10:17Speaker 1: What that you need to do that like a box set,
- 10:20Speaker 1: box set for like the people interested, but not CD.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I know, okay.
- 10:26Speaker 1: But but I don't care. I don't want to have
- 10:29Speaker 1: to like log into somewhere. Also I would log in
- 10:33Speaker 1: like that's like should be in the in the get in,
- 10:37Speaker 1: the gifts, FA, the favors.
- 10:41Speaker 2: The like we do we need it so in on
- 10:44Speaker 2: Hulu because I haven't been able to find all the seasons.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Are they all on Hulu? They're not all? Actually someone
- 10:50Speaker 1: last night I saw something on Instagram or something and
- 10:56Speaker 1: someone said Tristas season should be on Hulu and it isn't. Yeah,
- 11:00Speaker 1: I want to see that. I want to start. I
- 11:03Speaker 1: want to start, and I want to watch every season
- 11:05Speaker 1: watched start to finish, because there are obviously people who
- 11:09Speaker 1: become the lead from like like we started it because
- 11:14Speaker 1: I was on the Bachelor and I was the runner
- 11:17Speaker 1: up and then they asked me to be the Bachelorette.
- 11:19Speaker 1: So people knew me from the Bachelor. So if you
- 11:22Speaker 1: start from the beginning, there will have lots of stories
- 11:24Speaker 1: that everything's we've twisted.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Did you ever think back then when you first started
- 11:29Speaker 2: on this show, that like twenty years from now you'll
- 11:32Speaker 2: be married to a guy and you'll be hosting the
- 11:34Speaker 2: Golden or whatever. You know, like you'll be involved in the.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Old Yeah, yeah, didn't. I couldn't have even dreamt what
- 11:40Speaker 1: a podcast was, Isn't it weird?
- 11:42Speaker 2: I did one of those when I was sitting in
- 11:44Speaker 2: Warner Brothers studio. I was like, if somebody would have
- 11:47Speaker 2: told me a year ago, I would be in a
- 11:49Speaker 2: private room at Warner Brothers studio crying over the man
- 11:52Speaker 2: that just broke my heart and I'm going to go
- 11:54Speaker 2: on live stage and talk about it. I like, how
- 11:57Speaker 2: do you know what's coming next in life? I love that,
- 12:00Speaker 2: but I love the ride.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I am very grateful to have been part of this
- 12:04Speaker 1: family and me too.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I feel like I gained a huge family. Yes, you
- 12:09Speaker 2: did super fun. So thank you for being here, Thank
- 12:12Speaker 2: you for having me. Follow the Ben and Ashley I
