- 0:22Speaker 3: And Matt Lynn.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Come on.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Welcome in, OGB. Here on this Tuesday morning. Tuesday is
- 0:47Speaker 3: brought to you by our friends over at Community Steel, communitysteelco.com.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Jake Flynn, Alondra Tete, all here with you inside the
- 0:55Speaker 3: Raising Gains studio. How we doing, bud?
- 0:59Speaker 2: I'm doing fantastic.
- 1:01Speaker 3: You said we got to have a couple of wellness
- 1:03Speaker 3: checks on you yesterday.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Yeah. Watching the film?
- 1:07Speaker 5: Yep.
- 1:08Speaker 6: Yeah, no, I'm great, dude. I went to bed happy.
- 1:13Speaker 6: Smile on my face. Woke up happy.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Ninja flipped. Ninja get up out of.
- 1:18Speaker 6: Bed this morning. Got up a little earlier today. Had
- 1:21Speaker 6: to come in and tighten up this film work.
- 1:26Speaker 2: So I did that. Still doing it, actually. It's a
- 1:30Speaker 2: thankless job, you know?
- 1:31Speaker 7: I don't think anybody actually checked on him.
- 1:35Speaker 3: You did earlier.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I didn't start it yet. You didn't start that, though.
- 1:38Speaker 6: I told you, my children were real selfish yesterday with
- 1:43Speaker 6: my time and attention.
- 1:44Speaker 7: And then I didn't follow up.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I was like, you get one.
- 1:47Speaker 6: I made a mistake yesterday. No, it was a great mistake, though.
- 1:51Speaker 6: It was a mistake I'll happily make every single day.
- 1:54Speaker 7: Columbus Day or something?
- 1:55Speaker 2: No, just fall break.
- 1:56Speaker 8: Oh, okay.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Fall break.
- 1:57Speaker 6: So I went to the left here, went to my
- 1:59Speaker 6: office like normal, and my little girls FaceTimed me.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 2:04Speaker 2: And they gave me puppy dog eyes. They said, come home.
- 2:07Speaker 7: So, duh.
- 2:07Speaker 2: And I was like, yeah, obviously.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:10Speaker 6: So, I went home to, air quote, work. And didn't
- 2:14Speaker 6: get any work done. You know, it's like that meme
- 2:17Speaker 6: right now.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Hey, Dad, watch this.
- 2:21Speaker 8: Tiptoe, it is my job.
- 2:23Speaker 7: That little thing.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Yeah. The tiptoe. And they were like, Dad, watch this.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Watch what I can do. Tiptoe. And I was like,
- 2:30Speaker 2: that's amazing. I love it.
- 2:31Speaker 8: Never seen anything like it.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Never seen anything like it. You should do that forever.
- 2:35Speaker 3: You should go pro.
- 2:37Speaker 2: You should go pro at that. Absolutely.
- 2:40Speaker 8: You were in here early grinding. I mean, I walked
- 2:43Speaker 8: in a couple minutes after six. You're already in here,
- 2:46Speaker 8: laptop open, like going. Yeah, so this is the process.
- 2:50Speaker 8: I got to go through the film on one platform.
- 2:53Speaker 8: So it's already like broken down play by play.
- 2:56Speaker 6: But I can't use the film from that platform. So
- 3:00Speaker 6: I got to go and make a spreadsheet of all
- 3:01Speaker 6: the plays I want to go record.
- 3:03Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 3:04Speaker 6: And I got to go to the MP4 that we
- 3:07Speaker 6: have that's just like an hour long one video.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Right.
- 3:12Speaker 6: And I got to go find those plays and then
- 3:15Speaker 6: screen record. So I've been screen recording this morning.
- 3:18Speaker 7: What a process.
- 3:20Speaker 2: It's a process.
- 3:20Speaker 7: Thankless job.
- 3:21Speaker 2: It's my life.
- 3:25Speaker 8: Somebody's got to do it.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I don't even enjoy it. I hate film.
- 3:29Speaker 7: It's like we're like forcing you to do it.
- 3:31Speaker 2: I get it. It's because we get paid the big bucks,
- 3:34Speaker 2: you know? Is it film?
- 3:38Speaker 5: I don't.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Think anybody but Laundrie gets paid.
- 3:42Speaker 7: Debatable.
- 3:43Speaker 2: That is debatable.
- 3:45Speaker 3: That still hadn't hit.
- 3:46Speaker 2: My high pay is like LSU.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Well, yeah. I was going to say, at least we
- 3:52Speaker 3: got to know what day my high is, but we don't.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Anyway, it was a.
- 3:57Speaker 6: Great mistake, and my kids are still on fall break,
- 3:59Speaker 6: so I'll probably do the same thing today.
- 4:01Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 4:01Speaker 7: How long is fall break?
- 4:02Speaker 3: It's forever. Well, Memphis gets all week.
- 4:05Speaker 8: They need to not go back.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Memphis gets all week with elementary.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 3: And then the older boys get out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
- 4:13Speaker 3: and they go.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Thursday, Friday.
- 4:15Speaker 7: I thought they just had, like, I thought it started
- 4:17Speaker 7: last week, did it?
- 4:18Speaker 3: Some schools had last week, yeah.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Our kids, their first day was Friday.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:23Speaker 2: They're off.
- 4:24Speaker 6: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. And I'm pretty sure Huck for
- 4:28Speaker 6: middle school is Thursday as well.
- 4:30Speaker 7: So they just go to school Friday.
- 4:32Speaker 3: I bet they get a lot done that day.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Hey, look. He's got his last game of the season tomorrow.
- 4:37Speaker 2: And I'm like, are you sure you don't have school?
- 4:40Speaker 2: You got a game.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Why is he lying to you?
- 4:42Speaker 2: It's the middle of October. Seven-game season, obviously.
- 4:45Speaker 7: He's like, no, I swear nobody has school.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I'm sick. I swear to God I can't go to school.
- 4:49Speaker 8: All right.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 4:57Speaker 7: I never had fall break.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Kids these days, and they're fall break. I still don't
- 5:01Speaker 2: feel like fall break's real.
- 5:03Speaker 8: I had it in college. We never had it in
- 5:05Speaker 8: high school.
- 5:06Speaker 7: In college, yeah, but not in, like, normal school.
- 5:09Speaker 8: If you count Thanksgiving, sure. I think we had.
- 5:11Speaker 7: Well, everybody has Thanksgiving, right?
- 5:13Speaker 8: Yeah, but fall break's different.
- 5:15Speaker 6: Yeah, but I remember being like, you'll get, for Thanksgiving,
- 5:17Speaker 6: you'll get Thursday off, and you'll like it.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Pretty much.
- 5:20Speaker 7: And now they get the whole week off, right?
- 5:21Speaker 2: Maybe we'll give you Friday. Yeah, they get a whole week.
- 5:24Speaker 7: That's crazy.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Soft.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Soft.
- 5:28Speaker 7: Soft generation.
- 5:29Speaker 3: This generation right here, I'll tell you what.
- 5:31Speaker 7: Taking days off school.
- 5:33Speaker 2: With their meta glasses.
- 5:36Speaker 7: And their Chromebooks and God knows what.
- 5:43Speaker 3: How'd the film make you feel, bud?
- 5:45Speaker 2: The film, okay, so a couple of takeaways.
- 5:50Speaker 3: That's what I asked for.
- 5:55Speaker 7: Can I be honest with you?
- 5:56Speaker 2: Can I be honest with you guys?
- 5:58Speaker 6: Watching the film, okay, so I didn't feel worse watching
- 6:03Speaker 6: the film. Like, man, we just blew that one. We
- 6:08Speaker 6: just absolutely blew that one. We were stupid and made
- 6:11Speaker 6: all these stupid mistakes. That's not how I felt coming
- 6:14Speaker 6: out of the film session. We got beat by the
- 6:21Speaker 6: team that was better than us that night. They executed
- 6:24Speaker 6: football plays better than we did. Um, now are they
- 6:27Speaker 6: better than us every single day?
- 6:29Speaker 2: No.
- 6:30Speaker 6: Yesterday I made a mistake. I texted y'all yesterday and
- 6:33Speaker 6: I said, man, I made a mistake.
- 6:34Speaker 2: I lied to people.
- 6:35Speaker 6: I said, if we played this game 10 times, we'd
- 6:37Speaker 6: win at nine. I don't think that's the case. I
- 6:40Speaker 6: think we probably went at five. It's like with this
- 6:43Speaker 6: roster right now with, with two, maybe three, you know,
- 6:47Speaker 6: people on pace to, you know, for all American seasons,
- 6:50Speaker 6: Lane Kiffin said it yesterday in his press conference with
- 6:52Speaker 6: those guys out playing, you got backups playing.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:57Speaker 2: They're not bad, but they're not all Americans, right?
- 7:00Speaker 6: So with this roster, with this current setup, how it is,
- 7:04Speaker 6: we win that game five out of ten times, like
- 7:06Speaker 6: watching the film. They're a good football team. They played motivated.
- 7:11Speaker 6: I was looking at it, and they also did a
- 7:14Speaker 6: nice job self-scouting and understanding what could work. I think
- 7:18Speaker 6: I looked at the pressure stats because I was like, man,
- 7:20Speaker 6: they're pressuring just more. Like going into the game, Kentucky
- 7:23Speaker 6: pressured– 28.1% of pass plays. This game against LSU, they
- 7:28Speaker 6: pressured nearly 48% of LSU pass plays. So that is
- 7:35Speaker 6: a drastic change. It's a drastic change, especially when you're
- 7:39Speaker 6: preparing for something. So kudos to the Kentucky coaching staff
- 7:43Speaker 6: on offense and defense. And then kudos to them for executing.
- 7:46Speaker 6: And let me tell you, for that day, the better
- 7:50Speaker 6: quarterback won.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Kenny Menchie played his ass off. Played really well.
- 7:54Speaker 6: And exactly kind of like we said, he is going
- 7:57Speaker 6: to not get you behind the sticks.
- 8:00Speaker 2: He is going to play really sound.
- 8:02Speaker 6: He's going to be accurate with the ball, not make
- 8:05Speaker 6: any dumb decisions, run when he has to, doesn't.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Necessarily want to.
- 8:09Speaker 6: That two minute drive to tie it up at the
- 8:14Speaker 6: end of the game was a perfect drive for him.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Played perfect.
- 8:19Speaker 6: There's like at, Any league in the world, you can't
- 8:23Speaker 6: play the two-minute drive better than what he did. And
- 8:26Speaker 6: making throws that, like, it's good coverage. You're playing cover three,
- 8:31Speaker 6: and he's hitting the seam route in front of the
- 8:33Speaker 6: corner who's trying to overlap. He's just playing on time.
- 8:36Speaker 6: He was on a different level. And so hats off
- 8:40Speaker 6: to him. I can't go and say, man, Blake Baker,
- 8:42Speaker 6: you stink. I can't believe the quarterback beat you on
- 8:46Speaker 6: that drive. You were in position. You're dropping eight, and
- 8:49Speaker 6: he found a small window to complete passes for first downs. Like,
- 8:54Speaker 6: you got beat by a better team that day. And
- 8:56Speaker 6: so I didn't come away from the film saying, man,
- 9:01Speaker 6: that was just that.
- 9:02Speaker 2: We let that one slip out of our hands.
- 9:04Speaker 3: And we did.
- 9:05Speaker 6: Even though they played and executed better than you on
- 9:08Speaker 6: a lot of levels, you still had so many different
- 9:10Speaker 6: chances to win.
- 9:10Speaker 2: So, honestly, I feel like you had a chance to
- 9:13Speaker 2: steal that game.
- 9:16Speaker 3: And you didn't.
- 9:18Speaker 2: And you didn't.
- 9:18Speaker 3: And you didn't.
- 9:19Speaker 2: And you didn't.
- 9:20Speaker 3: And the road woes continue for LSU football, unfortunately. Offensively
- 9:27Speaker 3: for LSU, since we're already here, why were they not
- 9:32Speaker 3: able to run the football, in your opinion?
- 9:34Speaker 2: Because I don't think they had a very good running
- 9:35Speaker 2: game plan for it. Now, they ran.
- 9:38Speaker 6: They did some nice things in the second half when
- 9:40Speaker 6: they started running more normal. What's been the best running
- 9:43Speaker 6: play of the year for us?
- 9:45Speaker 2: Outside zone.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Outside zone.
- 9:47Speaker 6: We didn't really run outside zone in the first quarter.
- 9:50Speaker 6: And even like in the fourth quarter, where, let's see,
- 9:53Speaker 6: where was it?
- 9:54Speaker 2: I got it. I have it ready. It's like under
- 9:57Speaker 2: three minutes to go and win the thing.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:01Speaker 6: You run inside zone, like a normal looking runner play,
- 10:05Speaker 6: and you get like six or seven.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:07Speaker 6: And then the next two plays, you run like a
- 10:09Speaker 6: quarterback sweep to the right. That's what I was talking
- 10:11Speaker 6: about yesterday. And then you run like another quarterback weird
- 10:14Speaker 6: looking play, and you get no yards, which sets up
- 10:17Speaker 6: a third down. Where you throw to Winnie Watkins, that
- 10:20Speaker 6: sets up the fourth down. It's like, just run. Run
- 10:24Speaker 6: the normal plays. Look, they probably looked really good on film.
- 10:29Speaker 6: They probably looked really good in the game planning part
- 10:32Speaker 6: of it. But you've got to adjust. Your best running
- 10:35Speaker 6: plays ended up being... I just didn't see a lot
- 10:40Speaker 6: of normal looking run plays. They had this play in
- 10:46Speaker 6: mind where they were going to pull... They were going.
- 10:48Speaker 2: To fake a counter.
- 10:50Speaker 6: They were going to pull a guard and a tackle
- 10:51Speaker 6: to the right and then run Dylan Jones to the left.
- 10:54Speaker 6: And I saw it early on, and it worked. And
- 10:56Speaker 6: I was like, was that a bust? Like, what's happening
- 10:59Speaker 6: right there? Because you're asking Sam to read, but then
- 11:02Speaker 6: they come back, and then they fake it, and they
- 11:03Speaker 6: run Sam. It looked good, but then Kentucky caught on
- 11:06Speaker 6: to it and kind of stopped it after that.
- 11:09Speaker 2: So, I don't know.
- 11:10Speaker 6: It was just– they got you. I mean, they out-schemed
- 11:16Speaker 6: you a little bit.
- 11:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 11:19Speaker 6: I don't know if that makes it better or worse.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Yeah. They get paid, too. You know what I mean?
- 11:29Speaker 3: What about in overtime? Have you gotten there yet? Got
- 11:31Speaker 3: through all of it?
- 11:32Speaker 2: No, I didn't get overtime. I mean, the quarterback draw.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Is that what you're asking about?
- 11:35Speaker 3: No, no.
- 11:36Speaker 9: No.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Actually, the third and ten. For them? For Kentucky, yeah. Yeah,
- 11:42Speaker 3: LSU didn't get to third. They scored on the second.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Was it third and eight?
- 11:45Speaker 3: Maybe it was.
- 11:46Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 11:47Speaker 3: We'll look at it right this second. Oh, reacting real time. Oh, yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 11:53Speaker 5: Okay.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Back shoulder. I mean, back shoulder. I'd like to see
- 11:58Speaker 2: what Whit did with that play.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 12:01Speaker 6: Me too. But, again, you're playing a quarterback that's just
- 12:05Speaker 6: kind of playing on another level. I mean, he's got
- 12:06Speaker 6: someone in his face, and he throws pretty much a
- 12:09Speaker 6: slant route because he has to because he's about to
- 12:11Speaker 6: get sacked, and he puts a back hip.
- 12:15Speaker 2: He puts a front hip, but it's picked.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Yep.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Anyway, you'd like to see him play better, but, hey,
- 12:21Speaker 2: hats off to the quarterback on that one.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Yeah, inside the chat here, a little comment. LSU just
- 12:28Speaker 3: needs to learn how to win. They lose games in
- 12:31Speaker 3: the last two minutes. They need to find a way
- 12:33Speaker 3: to win in the last two minutes. And that might
- 12:35Speaker 3: sound like elementary, and somebody might be like, well, duh,
- 12:39Speaker 3: but it's real. You have to find ways to win
- 12:44Speaker 3: games like that Really good football teams do find ways
- 12:49Speaker 3: to win. What do I always say? Good teams find
- 12:52Speaker 3: a way just like bad teams do. Good teams find
- 12:55Speaker 3: a way to win. Bad teams find a way to lose.
- 12:58Speaker 3: You have to make that a learned behavior. You have
- 13:02Speaker 3: to want to thrive in that moment. And LSU at
- 13:06Speaker 3: home feels like they can get that done. LSU on
- 13:09Speaker 3: the road doesn't feel like a distant cousin to that.
- 13:13Speaker 3: That's the next step. Those games... You have to go
- 13:17Speaker 3: take those games. And like you said, Kentucky gave you
- 13:21Speaker 3: multiple chances to snatch that game, and you didn't do so.
- 13:26Speaker 6: Now, this isn't a game where you found a way
- 13:29Speaker 6: to lose. I don't think it's one or the other.
- 13:33Speaker 6: I don't think it's either you find a way to
- 13:34Speaker 6: win or you find a way to lose. You find
- 13:36Speaker 6: a way to lose means you dominate the whole game.
- 13:38Speaker 6: You just made some of the dumbest mistakes ever, and
- 13:40Speaker 6: you lost the game. Finding a way to win is
- 13:44Speaker 6: you're playing on the road at night, You're playing a
- 13:47Speaker 6: team that's executing really well, and you're given an opportunity,
- 13:50Speaker 6: and you make at least one or two plays that
- 13:54Speaker 6: wins or steals a game for you where maybe you
- 13:56Speaker 6: weren't dominating. They didn't find a way to lose this
- 14:01Speaker 6: game because Kentucky played really well, and they executed really well,
- 14:05Speaker 6: and they had a good game plan against you. But
- 14:08Speaker 6: you didn't find a way to win because you could
- 14:10Speaker 6: have stolen. And I didn't think, before I watched this film,
- 14:13Speaker 6: like leaving– We watched the game at a friend's house Saturday,
- 14:17Speaker 6: leaving that house Saturday night.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I was like, man, we blew that one. We absolutely
- 14:23Speaker 2: blew it. I don't feel like– after.
- 14:28Speaker 6: Watching it again, like, man, we played a really good team.
- 14:32Speaker 2: They had a good game plan. We could have stole
- 14:33Speaker 2: that one.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Yeah. You watched LSU at a friend's house? I did.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Who are you?
- 14:40Speaker 2: Man, it's one of those things, like my kids, man.
- 14:42Speaker 2: My kids. My kids. They wanted to hang out with
- 14:46Speaker 2: other friends.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Say no. You're already on fall break, kids.
- 14:53Speaker 2: I know.
- 14:54Speaker 3: You already got enough?
- 14:56Speaker 2: I am a sucker.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Yeah, you are.
- 14:58Speaker 6: They're going to call me again. They're going to FaceTime
- 14:59Speaker 6: me about 11 o'clock today.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Hey, what are you doing?
- 15:04Speaker 3: I'm going to play three.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Three of 38 on offense.
- 15:12Speaker 3: No. I refuse.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I've whittled it down. It's hard. It's hard to whittle
- 15:17Speaker 2: it down. Anyway, good stuff.
- 15:23Speaker 3: You said that last week, and then you had plays
- 15:25Speaker 3: of Lenore Sellers that we weren't playing. Yeah, but I
- 15:31Speaker 3: think we can all agree, pretty necessary.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Anyways, take a break.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Taylor gets it.
- 15:38Speaker 3: We had a great Monday night football game. Oh, boy.
- 15:41Speaker 3: That thing was... Alondra definitely stayed up to watch that puppy.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Saw the box score. Saw the entire overtime game. Saw
- 15:49Speaker 3: the box score. She was dialed in until 11 o'clock.
- 15:53Speaker 7: That didn't happen.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Saw that fans probably could have enjoyed that watching it.
- 15:57Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:57Speaker 2: All right.
- 15:58Speaker 7: I made it like three quarters in.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Okay.
- 16:01Speaker 8: All right.
- 16:01Speaker 3: I got to the moon talk.

- 17:17Speaker 9: Today's Tom Sawyer, mean, mean pride.
- 17:36Speaker 5: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn. Presented
- 17:40Speaker 5: by Community Steel.
- 17:54Speaker 3: You know what must be a really fun job? What's that?
- 18:00Speaker 3: Being the offensive coordinator for Matthew Stafford or Josh Allen.
- 18:05Speaker 2: I think I can do it.
- 18:08Speaker 3: I probably couldn't because I just run James Cook and
- 18:10Speaker 3: Williams and Corum, but.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Until James Cook fumbles a bunch.
- 18:14Speaker 8: Which, dude, he was having such a good game before that.
- 18:17Speaker 3: That's his only bugaboo.
- 18:19Speaker 8: You'll see him in overtime, crouch down, face it away
- 18:23Speaker 8: from the field, like, bail me out, bail me out,
- 18:25Speaker 8: bail me out.
- 18:28Speaker 3: First career overtime win for Josh Allen.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Finally.
- 18:34Speaker 3: 0-7 before that, including the playoffs.
- 18:37Speaker 8: Dude, the look on his face when it was going
- 18:39Speaker 8: into overtime, he was like, here we go again. You
- 18:42Speaker 8: had Matty Stafford on the other side.
- 18:44Speaker 6: It was pretty sweet to see them walking out for
- 18:47Speaker 6: the overtime coin toss, and it's a Two past MVPs.
- 18:51Speaker 2: That was cool.
- 18:53Speaker 8: You know, they had that shot of them, like the
- 18:55Speaker 8: side view, just like looking at each other at midfield
- 18:57Speaker 8: or something. I'm like, these truly could be like the
- 19:00Speaker 8: two best quarterbacks in the NFL.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Arguably, sure.
- 19:04Speaker 8: Like there's some other guys you could throw in there,
- 19:05Speaker 8: but I was like, we're about to watch these two
- 19:07Speaker 8: dudes just battle it out.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Well, we're watching like the best two, at least in
- 19:10Speaker 2: the last handful of years. Very cool. It was very
- 19:15Speaker 2: cool for quarterback nerds, for sure. I was like, yeah.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Y'all know me. I'm a big Stafford, yeah. Big nerd.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Big quarterback nerd, which makes me cool.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Sure, bud. If you don't stop messing with your microphone.
- 19:31Speaker 3: I was wondering what that noise was.
- 19:33Speaker 7: It's a lot of noise.
- 19:36Speaker 2: You got to make these noise canceling.
- 19:42Speaker 3: This is a question for you, Matthew.
- 19:45Speaker 7: Not sure that's possible.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Mic inside the chat. So if an opposing team blitzes more,
- 19:50Speaker 3: or does something other than what Lane saw on film,
- 19:53Speaker 3: we're screwed?
- 19:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll go home. No, no, no.
- 20:02Speaker 6: I mean, there's always, especially off like bye weeks. So
- 20:06Speaker 6: like Mississippi State, They're going through a lot of self-scout.
- 20:11Speaker 6: So they're looking at their tendencies. They're looking at what
- 20:13Speaker 6: they do. Okay, what are people watching on us?
- 20:16Speaker 2: It's called self-scout. You watch your own film. You watch
- 20:19Speaker 2: your own stats. You break down. This is our tendency.
- 20:22Speaker 2: This is blah, blah, blah. And you make adjustments.
- 20:25Speaker 6: They could have looked at self-scout and been like, all right,
- 20:27Speaker 6: we're having success on this. We're not doing a lot
- 20:29Speaker 6: of blitzing. We're not having a ton of success on
- 20:32Speaker 6: third downs. We're ranked one of the worst. In the
- 20:37Speaker 6: country at third down. So let's change something instead of
- 20:39Speaker 6: doing the same thing over and over. They also could
- 20:42Speaker 6: have looked at it and said, well, there's some protection
- 20:45Speaker 6: issues with LSU. Or they could have said, man, their
- 20:48Speaker 6: quarterback gets a little happy. A little happy feet when
- 20:52Speaker 6: he gets blitzed. Or they could have said, man, he's
- 20:55Speaker 6: got a hamstring issue. Let's blitz him. There could have
- 20:57Speaker 6: been so many different reasons. But whatever reason it was,
- 21:01Speaker 6: they just felt like they could have more success.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Now, did it work? Yeah, I mean, it worked.
- 21:06Speaker 6: They had some good plays, but LSU certainly made their
- 21:08Speaker 6: fair share of plays as well.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Yeah, LSU had more yards.
- 21:12Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 21:16Speaker 3: LSU had more first downs. LSU had the time of possession.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 21:23Speaker 1: All right.
- 21:24Speaker 3: There's a lot of things LSU did in this game
- 21:27Speaker 3: to give themselves a chance. Like, they didn't dominate those categories,
- 21:31Speaker 3: did they? No, but they won them. I'm saying... Right, right. Like,
- 21:34Speaker 3: if they would have lost them and then I watched it.
- 21:35Speaker 6: It is a little surprising to me to hear all
- 21:37Speaker 6: those because I forget the stats after I kind of
- 21:39Speaker 6: watch it.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Because it wasn't lopsided. The thing that you didn't win,
- 21:47Speaker 3: you turned the ball over twice. They did not turn
- 21:49Speaker 3: the ball over. And you had more penalties than they
- 21:51Speaker 3: had by a lot.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Like, the carelessness with the football, that has to stop.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Sam Levitt has an interception in every game this year.
- 22:05Speaker 3: I know.
- 22:06Speaker 2: He leads the country.
- 22:07Speaker 6: You got a guy in your lap, and I get it,
- 22:09Speaker 6: and it makes it a hard throw. I saw Stafford
- 22:11Speaker 6: do the same thing yesterday.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Overthrew one.
- 22:14Speaker 6: Should have been picked just like that. He overthrew a
- 22:16Speaker 6: dig route. Somebody was in his lap, and you just overreact.
- 22:20Speaker 6: Your hands go above a helmet or somebody reaching out,
- 22:23Speaker 6: and it affects the throw.
- 22:25Speaker 2: It's an excuse. It can't happen. It's on you.
- 22:28Speaker 6: The ball comes out of your hand. It doesn't matter
- 22:30Speaker 6: what happens with the line. It doesn't matter what happened
- 22:32Speaker 6: with this or that, but it does happen to the best.
- 22:35Speaker 6: It happened to Stafford last night, like a, almost the
- 22:37Speaker 6: exact same situation.
- 22:40Speaker 2: It's your fault. You got to clean it up.
- 22:41Speaker 6: But like, and you can, you can let those, you
- 22:44Speaker 6: can let those slide. If it wasn't like every single game,
- 22:48Speaker 6: there's an interception.
- 22:49Speaker 3: That's been at least one, every single game again, leads
- 22:52Speaker 3: the country. And Sam's made a lot of plays. I
- 22:55Speaker 3: think there's a lot of good in there, but, You
- 22:58Speaker 3: can't turn the football over every single game. Even if
- 23:02Speaker 3: you do win the yards and the first downs and
- 23:04Speaker 3: the time of possession, Kentucky played very clean football. Now,
- 23:09Speaker 3: I would argue that two penalties is egregious. You're just
- 23:13Speaker 3: not going to have two penalties and then be a
- 23:17Speaker 3: targeting in the end zone and a roughing the quarterback,
- 23:19Speaker 3: and you played clean the rest of the game?
- 23:21Speaker 2: I don't think it was roughing the pass.
- 23:23Speaker 3: I actually don't think it was. It wasn't even.
- 23:26Speaker 2: I mean, it was violent.
- 23:27Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 23:28Speaker 2: But he did not hit his head.
- 23:31Speaker 3: But the whole point is, like, the two they called
- 23:33Speaker 3: were two, like, right in front of everybody.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Right.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Like, obvious. Right.
- 23:40Speaker 6: They did play clean, though. And there were some very
- 23:42Speaker 6: close to holdings. There's a lot of close to holdings.
- 23:46Speaker 6: There's also a lot of receivers for LSU. This is
- 23:51Speaker 6: one thing that I don't understand when I watch it.
- 23:53Speaker 6: And I talked about this yesterday. A lot of times, like, there's,
- 23:58Speaker 6: you know, if it's a two-by-two set with the LSU,
- 24:01Speaker 6: they're running a pass play. They have, we've talked about,
- 24:04Speaker 6: they'll have, like, alerts on one side, and they'll have, like,
- 24:06Speaker 6: your progression on another side. There's a lot of times
- 24:09Speaker 6: in certain coverages where two of the guys just don't
- 24:11Speaker 6: run their routes. They don't finish their routes. They kind
- 24:14Speaker 6: of run off, and they know they're the decoy. Maybe
- 24:16Speaker 6: they know in, like, a certain coverage they're not getting
- 24:18Speaker 6: the ball. And I don't understand. I've never really seen
- 24:20Speaker 6: that before. It looks like they're kind of loafing, but
- 24:23Speaker 6: it also looks like they're doing it a lot throughout
- 24:26Speaker 6: the game and they're like in sync with it. And
- 24:29Speaker 6: it's confusing about like, why are they doing it? And
- 24:34Speaker 6: we talked yesterday, maybe it's because they're going so fast
- 24:37Speaker 6: and running so many plays. They're trying to save their legs.
- 24:39Speaker 6: Kind of like, you know, LeBron like walking every now
- 24:42Speaker 6: and then just like save his, save his legs, save, save,
- 24:45Speaker 6: save it for the fourth quarter, whatever it is. I
- 24:47Speaker 6: don't know, but I brought this up because there's a
- 24:51Speaker 6: lot of times where they're doing that and they're getting held.
- 24:55Speaker 6: Or they're getting illegal contact down the field, but they're
- 24:58Speaker 6: not finishing their routes, so it doesn't look like to
- 25:00Speaker 6: the ref that it's affecting the play.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Right.
- 25:03Speaker 6: Like, there's a big play late in the game where
- 25:07Speaker 6: he gets held so bad, but he just stops his route.
- 25:10Speaker 6: If you don't fight through it. If you don't fight
- 25:12Speaker 6: through it, they're not going to call it. So there's
- 25:14Speaker 6: tons of, like, clips I could have put on this breakdown.
- 25:17Speaker 6: It's like, that should be illegal contact, but he stops.
- 25:20Speaker 6: That should be illegal contact, but he stops. That should
- 25:22Speaker 6: be holding, but he stops.
- 25:23Speaker 9: Right.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 25:25Speaker 6: I've never really seen it, but it does look like
- 25:28Speaker 6: half the field shuts down sometimes on the route running,
- 25:32Speaker 6: depending on what the coverage is. I'd like to hear
- 25:35Speaker 6: the reasoning why, and I'm sure there is a reasoning why,
- 25:37Speaker 6: because we don't have loafers on the team. We don't
- 25:41Speaker 6: have people that just go out there and don't show effort.
- 25:43Speaker 6: It's a high-effort team. That is something we can all
- 25:46Speaker 6: tip our cap to and respect.
- 25:48Speaker 2: It doesn't matter. They make mistakes, but they make it
- 25:51Speaker 2: going full speed.
- 25:54Speaker 3: What do y'all make of Lane Kiffin saying that the
- 25:57Speaker 3: side judge kind of told him that he couldn't call
- 26:00Speaker 3: the quarterback down in a moment that big?
- 26:04Speaker 8: I think the quote itself.
- 26:05Speaker 7: I don't think that's an actual real quote.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:10Speaker 8: Have we confirmed that?
- 26:12Speaker 3: I would love to.
- 26:13Speaker 7: I don't believe that's a real quote.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Can we get John Boy that does the lip reading
- 26:21Speaker 3: in MLB?
- 26:22Speaker 9: Oh.
- 26:22Speaker 3: That's who he needs to send it to.
- 26:23Speaker 7: He should get John Boy.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Yeah. Hey, read the lips there. Because if it's real,
- 26:29Speaker 3: that's problematic.
- 26:31Speaker 8: If it's real, I'll give the ref the benefit of
- 26:34Speaker 8: the doubt and say maybe what he meant was we're
- 26:37Speaker 8: going to let him play through instead of the moment.
- 26:40Speaker 3: I get it.
- 26:41Speaker 8: It shouldn't matter, but maybe.
- 26:43Speaker 6: We do often talk about when refs don't, when they
- 26:49Speaker 6: do make a call sometimes. In a big situation, they're like, man,
- 26:53Speaker 6: you can't make that call in that situation. We do
- 26:56Speaker 6: say that a lot. Like, in that situation, you can't
- 26:59Speaker 6: call that holding call right there or that PI. You
- 27:01Speaker 6: know what I mean? You got to be like, let
- 27:03Speaker 6: the boys, let them decide it. We say that all
- 27:06Speaker 6: the time.
- 27:07Speaker 3: We do.
- 27:07Speaker 2: So we can't say the opposite in that situation.
- 27:09Speaker 8: At the same time, it's like a goal line stand
- 27:12Speaker 8: is a goal line stand. Like, you either stuffed him
- 27:14Speaker 8: or he didn't. So, like, I just, I feel like
- 27:16Speaker 8: that's more black and white.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Being there live, being there live, yeah, I It was
- 27:22Speaker 3: well after the ball was snapped.
- 27:24Speaker 2: I agree. I mean, I agree. I'm on the other side.
- 27:27Speaker 3: It felt like– I'm not even here to get into
- 27:30Speaker 3: the call, but I would love– the ACC has where
- 27:34Speaker 3: you can hear them talk through it.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:37Speaker 3: The SEC will never do it. SEC feels like probably
- 27:40Speaker 3: they're too good for something like that. I don't know. But, like,
- 27:44Speaker 3: watching an ACC game, which I don't do often, but
- 27:47Speaker 3: if I do– Why don't you torture yourself? Hearing them
- 27:49Speaker 3: go through.
- 27:50Speaker 8: He has it on the catch Gilmore girls early. They
- 27:53Speaker 8: play right before.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:54Speaker 3: I mean, he wouldn't. Kidding me? One tree hill right
- 27:57Speaker 3: before a college football kickoff?
- 27:59Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Kidding me?
- 27:59Speaker 3: But you can hear them talk through it. Like, even that,
- 28:02Speaker 3: that's all I've asked for. Like, they looked at that play.
- 28:06Speaker 3: I would have loved to hear what they said about
- 28:09Speaker 3: that play. Because if he's like, you know what? Body
- 28:11Speaker 3: never stops. And, yeah, they're picking him up and pulling him.
- 28:14Speaker 3: But here's why we're going to let it stand. Yeah.
- 28:17Speaker 3: That would have made me feel better. At least I
- 28:19Speaker 3: know what you saw. I don't know why we.
- 28:22Speaker 2: And guess what? Forward progress is a judgment call. So...
- 28:27Speaker 2: Like it or not, if you want to.
- 28:29Speaker 3: This isn't even really about like... It's more like I
- 28:32Speaker 3: would love the transparency of why they.
- 28:36Speaker 6: It's also a reason why history continues to prove me
- 28:40Speaker 6: right about push-push being the not real play and it
- 28:42Speaker 6: should be outlawed.
- 28:47Speaker 2: It would have gotten out loud. It's a rugby scrum, Matt.
- 28:52Speaker 2: It's the wrong sport. It was a tackle football. I
- 29:00Speaker 2: hate the tush push.
- 29:04Speaker 3: A lot to get to inside the chat. We'll take
- 29:06Speaker 3: a break. We'll get to some of your comments when
- 29:09Speaker 3: we come back, and we'll do it right here on OTB.

- 30:59Speaker 4: you feel You got to roll with the punches Get
- 31:06Speaker 4: to what's real.
- 31:10Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in. OTB here live from the
- 31:13Speaker 3: Razor Cane studio. Our Tuesday show is brought to you
- 31:18Speaker 3: by our friends over at Community Steel, communitysteelco.com. Check them
- 31:22Speaker 3: out today. Gonzales, Louisiana. Louisiana Steel, communitysteelco.com.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Thank them for their golden banners.
- 31:33Speaker 3: LSU's got Mississippi State coming to town. It's going to
- 31:37Speaker 3: be an 11 a.m.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Kick.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Not many of those in Tiger Stadium, but that's what
- 31:42Speaker 3: it's going to be.
- 31:42Speaker 2: I don't know. You ready?
- 31:47Speaker 3: Somebody that covers the team might have a nice little
- 31:50Speaker 3: Saturday after that.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Pretty nice little Saturday, huh?
- 31:53Speaker 3: Might even have time.
- 31:56Speaker 7: No, I'm actually excited about the 11 a.m.
- 31:58Speaker 8: Kick.
- 31:59Speaker 3: I'm not mad. But the matchup is an interesting one.
- 32:07Speaker 3: You've got a Mississippi State team that's ranked ahead of you,
- 32:10Speaker 3: and you're an 11.5-point favorite. Why are you an 11.5-point favorite?
- 32:16Speaker 3: Because there's a lot of doubt surrounding Mississippi State's best player,
- 32:21Speaker 3: Kamario Taylor, and if he's going to be available for
- 32:25Speaker 3: this game.
- 32:27Speaker 2: What happened to him?
- 32:29Speaker 3: So a lot of different reports out there. Obviously, he's
- 32:31Speaker 3: been dealing with some injuries, and you've heard a little
- 32:35Speaker 3: bit here, a little bit of there. But Pete Thamel
- 32:39Speaker 3: had it yesterday. Like, probably the first person to make it, like, public-public, right?
- 32:44Speaker 3: And he's dealing with a foot injury from earlier this year.
- 32:48Speaker 3: And he had it against Alabama. Like, I know I
- 32:53Speaker 3: didn't know that watching that game. And I believe, like,
- 32:59Speaker 3: I think it's probably, I don't even know, two, three
- 33:02Speaker 3: weeks old. So he's been limited in practice since the
- 33:07Speaker 3: Alabama game. Remember, they were a bye week last week,
- 33:11Speaker 3: and so you can kind of be a little cautious
- 33:12Speaker 3: with him, knowing you had some extra time. He could
- 33:14Speaker 3: go out there. He could do the walkthroughs. He could
- 33:16Speaker 3: go through the script and all those things. But certainly
- 33:19Speaker 3: something to watch. I think that's why you see the 11.5.
- 33:22Speaker 3: If Mario Taylor's playing in this game, I don't think
- 33:25Speaker 3: that's going to be the case. Would LSU be favored? Yeah,
- 33:29Speaker 3: they'd still be favored. But it would not be anywhere
- 33:31Speaker 3: close to 11.5. Uh, Camario Taylor is not only their
- 33:35Speaker 3: best player. He's one of the best players in the country.
- 33:37Speaker 3: When fully healthy. So a lot.
- 33:42Speaker 8: Of unknown behind him too. So I named Parker pocket
- 33:46Speaker 8: came into the game for him last week. Um, he
- 33:49Speaker 8: was not even ranked coming out of high school, but
- 33:51Speaker 8: it appears he won the job at the backup job.
- 33:54Speaker 8: Cause AJ swans on the roster.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Yep.
- 33:56Speaker 8: LSU fans know him. Uh, and Jaden Rashada, Mr. Florida Gator.
- 34:00Speaker 8: He's there as well after being in Arizona state. So, uh,
- 34:03Speaker 8: Four quarterbacks on that roster still.
- 34:05Speaker 3: And the one that won is the one that doesn't
- 34:07Speaker 3: have starting experience.
- 34:12Speaker 2: What do you think the line will be if he plays?
- 34:14Speaker 2: If they announce he's playing?
- 34:17Speaker 3: I think it would go all the way down to, gosh,
- 34:22Speaker 3: five and a half, six and a half.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I think it's five points.
- 34:24Speaker 3: I mean, he's, yes.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Is any player worth five points? Now, I'm saying that
- 34:31Speaker 2: it should be.
- 34:31Speaker 5: His war.
- 34:35Speaker 7: It was five.
- 34:38Speaker 3: And to answer your question, like, you might be asking, like,
- 34:42Speaker 3: an actual, but, like, for me, yeah, there's players worth
- 34:44Speaker 3: five in the country.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:47Speaker 6: Of course, their last couple games, they lost Alabama 56-23.
- 34:51Speaker 6: But as you said, Mario's nursing a foot. But before that,
- 34:57Speaker 6: beat Missouri 31-24.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Yep.
- 34:59Speaker 6: Missouri's pretty good. Beat South Carolina 41-34. You just got.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Beat by a team that beat South Carolina by one.
- 35:11Speaker 2: You're playing, I.
- 35:13Speaker 6: Don't know, two teams, Missouri and South Carolina, that just
- 35:17Speaker 6: beat up on Florida.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 35:21Speaker 3: I need time out. I need time out. This opened
- 35:25Speaker 3: at 12 and a half. What is it now? It
- 35:28Speaker 3: went down to 11 and a half. It's up to 14.
- 35:35Speaker 8: I think that's something where it's like, oh, somebody said
- 35:38Speaker 8: something that doesn't sound like he's going to play. Now
- 35:40Speaker 8: it does. I think it's going to go up and
- 35:41Speaker 8: down all week.
- 35:44Speaker 2: 14?
- 35:45Speaker 8: No shot.
- 35:46Speaker 7: That's pretty large. Do you think Vegas is trying to
- 35:49Speaker 7: trick us?
- 35:51Speaker 3: You're ranked 22.
- 35:52Speaker 7: Do you think they're trying to trick us?
- 35:54Speaker 2: Where's Ashton?
- 35:57Speaker 7: Ashton, get out here.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Come on, Ashton.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Come on.
- 35:59Speaker 8: Come on now.
- 36:00Speaker 2: I'll be out in the corner.
- 36:01Speaker 8: Jake, if Camario really doesn't play, 14 is not a
- 36:05Speaker 8: crazy line.
- 36:05Speaker 3: It's still crazy. 14 is crazy. You can maybe have
- 36:10Speaker 3: a conversation with me about 11, 10 and a half, 11.
- 36:12Speaker 3: I mean, Anthony Evans is really good. Now, Bothwell, maybe
- 36:19Speaker 3: not his availability. He's a really good running back. We
- 36:23Speaker 3: didn't see him a lot in the Alabama game. Left
- 36:25Speaker 3: very early. If he's out as well, maybe the conversation
- 36:29Speaker 3: continues to go down the road.
- 36:31Speaker 8: Well, Camario opens everything up for Bothwell because you're not
- 36:33Speaker 8: having to focus in on fluff. Like, two of them
- 36:36Speaker 8: in the backfield.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Kind of compliment each other. Of course, running back can't
- 36:37Speaker 3: do on his own. It's got to be because of
- 36:39Speaker 3: the quarterback.
- 36:40Speaker 8: No, they just compliment each other well.
- 36:42Speaker 2: No doubt. Always about the quarterback, bud. Yeah, I will say.
- 36:49Speaker 3: That seems so high.
- 36:51Speaker 6: It is very high. That's borderline disrespectful towards Mississippi State, honestly.
- 36:58Speaker 6: But if they don't play with him, you're lying on
- 37:00Speaker 6: a backup quarterback, and your defense, while has been beaten,
- 37:07Speaker 6: it's been beaten.
- 37:07Speaker 2: By really, really good quarterback play.
- 37:10Speaker 6: And that's pretty much the only way you're going to
- 37:12Speaker 6: beat LSU's, consistently beat LSU's defense throughout the game. Trinidad
- 37:18Speaker 6: played incredible versus LSU. Minchie played incredible. down the stretch,
- 37:25Speaker 6: like made some really good plays. And you got to
- 37:26Speaker 6: expect that that's not going to happen with a backup quarterback.
- 37:28Speaker 6: Or you got to guess that's not going to happen
- 37:30Speaker 6: with a backup quarterback. So yes, people are mad at
- 37:35Speaker 6: the defense. And I know a lot of people in
- 37:37Speaker 6: the chat talking about Blake Baker, blah, blah, blah. They
- 37:41Speaker 6: made some really good plays against it.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Yeah. You were unsound in a couple of places.
- 37:44Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 37:44Speaker 6: You got, you know, you got beat on a couple
- 37:46Speaker 6: of things. You made wrong alignments here and there that
- 37:49Speaker 6: ended up losing the game. But I mean, So back
- 37:53Speaker 6: on me, I guess the theory behind that, I'm sure
- 37:55Speaker 6: they're looking at Lane's win-loss record after a loss, and
- 37:59Speaker 6: then they're looking at a backup quarterback. He's really good, yeah.
- 38:02Speaker 6: It's been really, really good quarterback play that has beaten
- 38:06Speaker 6: our defense. And not just like dynamic throws, like having
- 38:12Speaker 6: to throw the ball on time into tight windows, beat
- 38:16Speaker 6: defenders to a spot with the ball because you've got
- 38:19Speaker 6: really good eyes, really good feet, really good timing. If
- 38:22Speaker 6: you don't do those things, it's hard to move the
- 38:24Speaker 6: ball in LSU's defense, even with all the injuries.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Yep, so something certainly to watch as we get closer
- 38:33Speaker 3: and closer to kick. It's going to be the health
- 38:35Speaker 3: of Kamario Taylor, 1,450 yards on the season, 17 touchdowns,
- 38:43Speaker 3: four interceptions. Bothwell's got 403 yards on the ground. Anthony Evans, 574.
- 38:52Speaker 3: through the air, catching the football. And remember, they've played
- 38:57Speaker 3: one less game than LSU as well.
- 39:01Speaker 6: You're not going to see anybody this year that's going
- 39:04Speaker 6: to throw the ball sexier than Mario does.
- 39:08Speaker 3: I thought you were about to say another quarterback. I
- 39:10Speaker 3: was like, dude, Mario's– what does Tom Brady call it?
- 39:15Speaker 3: Piss missile?
- 39:16Speaker 2: Yeah, real piss missile.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:18Speaker 3: He's got– You.
- 39:20Speaker 6: Can't really put your finger on why it's just beautiful
- 39:23Speaker 6: coming out of somebody's hand like that.
- 39:24Speaker 3: I can hear it watching it on silent.
- 39:27Speaker 2: It's like, wow, that's really pretty.
- 39:29Speaker 3: Yeah. All right, so obviously the thing we're paying attention
- 39:32Speaker 3: to the most is the health of Mississippi State's top
- 39:36Speaker 3: quarterback and running back as we head into this matchup
- 39:39Speaker 3: coming up on Saturday at 11 a.m. All right, we'll
- 39:42Speaker 3: take a break. We've got more OTB when we come
- 39:44Speaker 3: back here live from the Raising Cane Studio.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 39:48Speaker 3: All right, go to centralplumbing.org. It's always been in Central.

- 40:51Speaker 5: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn. Presented
- 40:54Speaker 5: by Community Steel.
- 41:26Speaker 3: When you hear this song, what's in your mind? What's
- 41:30Speaker 3: in your brain? I mean, my montage of Rocky Balboa
- 41:36Speaker 3: right now is elite. I'm going from the gym, staring
- 41:41Speaker 3: off into space.
- 41:42Speaker 5: Mm.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Like a little light on his face to him running
- 41:47Speaker 3: to the streets of Philadelphia. I don't even know if
- 41:52Speaker 3: it's right.
- 41:53Speaker 8: I'm just saying it just feels like that's the vibe.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that's exactly what I have going through my brain.
- 41:57Speaker 3: It has to be rocky.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Has to be.
- 42:00Speaker 3: Yeah, it's right. Yes.
- 42:04Speaker 2: If it was, it'd be three. I feel like that's
- 42:08Speaker 2: a good call. It's not four.
- 42:14Speaker 6: I need to introduce my children to Rocky.
- 42:19Speaker 2: It's fall break. It's the perfect time to binge it.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Alondra, can you see all of them? What movie this
- 42:24Speaker 3: was on? All seven of them? We got Rocky 1, 2, 3, 4,
- 42:29Speaker 3: 5 for sure. Then we had Rocky Balboa. We got Creed.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Three Creeds.
- 42:38Speaker 8: The first one's really good. I haven't seen the other two.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Sounds like I got.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Some watching to do.
- 42:43Speaker 7: It's on Tron Legacy.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Okay, the original Tron, yeah.
- 42:48Speaker 7: Yes, man.
- 42:50Speaker 8: That's actually what I think of.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, man.
- 42:53Speaker 8: He gets on the motorcycle, his hospital gown opens.
- 42:56Speaker 3: God, there's no way they're sitting on Rocky.
- 43:00Speaker 2: They made a mistake. Just kidding.
- 43:03Speaker 7: It was not.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Those movies made no mistakes.
- 43:05Speaker 3: I mean, that's the only thing I can see right now.
- 43:12Speaker 6: I feel like the only mistake Rocky misstepped.
- 43:16Speaker 2: They made was his son's age.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Wasn't that his son in real life when he passed away?
- 43:25Speaker 5: Was it?
- 43:25Speaker 3: I think so.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Well, he's a little kid in four, but then five
- 43:29Speaker 2: is right after he comes back.
- 43:31Speaker 7: The 12-year-old-ish kid?
- 43:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:35Speaker 7: That is his real son.
- 43:36Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure.
- 43:36Speaker 3: Yeah, and he passed away, I think.
- 43:38Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 43:38Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure he did. Take it back. But the
- 43:42Speaker 3: speech that he gives him in Rocky Balboa is really good.
- 43:45Speaker 2: That's a good one.
- 43:46Speaker 3: When he's feeling sorry for himself.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 43:52Speaker 3: Because that's what cowards do.
- 43:54Speaker 2: That one. That's a good movie.
- 43:57Speaker 3: And that ate you.
- 43:59Speaker 2: It's good. He gets in there. He punches that meat. Pause.
- 44:07Speaker 9: Yep.
- 44:07Speaker 5: 2012, Jake.
- 44:09Speaker 9: True.
- 44:09Speaker 2: It's facts. What?
- 44:10Speaker 8: His son passed away in 2012.
- 44:12Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Punch of meat.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Absolutely. Got to. Anybody?
- 44:25Speaker 7: Anybody got anything? We're just going to dead air it.
- 44:28Speaker 3: No, I'm trying to like, there's like quotes and I'm like, nope.
- 44:31Speaker 3: And then I go to say another one.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Nope.
- 44:32Speaker 3: Because like my favorite. Line in all the Rockies is
- 44:38Speaker 3: when they mix like, get up, you son of a...
- 44:40Speaker 3: Because Mickey loves you.
- 44:42Speaker 6: In Rocky Balboa, the guy who's the fighter is a
- 44:45Speaker 6: real boxer.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Right?
- 44:48Speaker 3: Rocky Marciano, who is kind of loosely based off of?
- 44:51Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 44:52Speaker 6: In Rocky Balboa, when he's older. So the boxer that
- 44:55Speaker 6: he was taking on in the exhibition, he was a
- 44:57Speaker 6: real boxer.
- 44:57Speaker 3: He was a real boxer.
- 44:58Speaker 6: I don't remember his name, but of all the movies,
- 45:00Speaker 6: he looks the least like a boxer.
- 45:02Speaker 3: And he's the real one.
- 45:03Speaker 2: And he's the only real one.
- 45:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:06Speaker 3: He was a real boxer, yes.
- 45:08Speaker 2: He did not. He did not have the 80s steroids.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Tommy Gunn was a real boxer.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Fair. Good point.
- 45:14Speaker 3: He was a real boxer.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Okay, I stand corrected.
- 45:16Speaker 3: Tommy Morrison.
- 45:18Speaker 6: They say they didn't use as many steroids in the
- 45:21Speaker 6: newer ones, which probably was a big mistake.
- 45:24Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 45:25Speaker 2: Obviously. I mean, Sylvester, he still got it. He still
- 45:29Speaker 2: had his fastball with the good stuff.
- 45:34Speaker 3: Look, he's like in his 80s. Still doing Tulsa King.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
- 45:37Speaker 3: You know? Whatever's in that needle.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Yeah, who said it was bad for you?
- 45:43Speaker 3: Done him right.
- 45:44Speaker 7: I mean, just look at Rocky.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Just look at Rocky. What's up, Sylvester?
- 45:49Speaker 3: All right, little OTB mailbag when we come back here
- 45:53Speaker 3: on Guess What? OTB.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 45:56Speaker 3: I go to Tommy's Windows, Doors, and Siding. GoTommies.com. G-E-A-U-X.

- 46:12Speaker 3: I went to Tommy's Windows, Doors, and Siding. They do
- 46:14Speaker 3: a little bit of everything over there. Don't forget, they
- 46:16Speaker 3: can install gutters as well. Another great service that they have.
- 46:19Speaker 3: When you go to the website, check out the full
- 46:21Speaker 3: gallery of work. Again, that's GoTommies.com.
- 46:24Speaker 2: That's right, GoTommies, GoTommies.com.
- 46:26Speaker 6: If you've got a project about to start, you're about
- 46:29Speaker 6: to get underway, maybe it's building a house, maybe you
- 46:31Speaker 6: are doing a little renovation.
- 46:34Speaker 2: Maybe you just.
- 46:34Speaker 6: Bought a house and maybe it's just got some old windows, doors,
- 46:37Speaker 6: siding that need a changing because, well, the weather down
- 46:40Speaker 6: here can be a little bit rough on that stuff.
- 46:42Speaker 2: So give them a call.
- 46:44Speaker 6: Let them show you why they win awards every single year,
- 46:46Speaker 6: lifetime warranty on everything that they install.
