- 0:00Speaker 1: I Put with Alexi Napola and Marisa Patton, an iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hi guys, welcome to another podcast of I Put.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hello everybody. We just survived a torrential hurricane, didn't we, Alexia?
- 0:17Speaker 3: Well, yes we Fortunately we were blessed and it didn't
- 0:20Speaker 3: come our way, and we did prepare very much for it.
- 0:26Speaker 3: But luckily for us, it didn't go this way.
- 0:29Speaker 1: What did you do to prepare?
- 0:31Speaker 3: Well, the usual, bringing all the patio furniture, have flashlights
- 0:36Speaker 3: and batteries, having enough water and.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Food, food, food essential. How about alcohol? Did you have
- 0:45Speaker 1: any of that?
- 0:46Speaker 4: Oh?
- 0:46Speaker 2: Well, I always have a full bar here. I know you, yet.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Your house is like the only place I can get
- 0:53Speaker 1: a good drink.
- 0:54Speaker 2: But you know what, but it's lonely.
- 0:55Speaker 3: It was only Frankie and I here, so it's not
- 0:57Speaker 3: like I was going to drink by myself.
- 0:59Speaker 2: With Frankie. I prefer to go to somebody else's house.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Yeah, but with you know, I didn't really think it
- 1:06Speaker 3: was going to come this way, So in other circumstances,
- 1:10Speaker 3: I would have probably gone to somebody's house, to my
- 1:12Speaker 3: family's house or friends, or even your house. Because I'm
- 1:16Speaker 3: really scared to be alone but honestly, during during a
- 1:20Speaker 3: circumstance like that. But we had a few winds that
- 1:24Speaker 3: night that were a little scary, but it was it
- 1:27Speaker 3: was just like some bands. It came really strong. And
- 1:29Speaker 3: then the next day it woke up. The day was beautiful.
- 1:33Speaker 2: It was prettier than yeah it was.
- 1:36Speaker 3: The sun was out. It was really beautiful. But you know,
- 1:39Speaker 3: you always have to prepare for the worst.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Absolutely, Steve did all the work. He was blowing the
- 1:45Speaker 1: yard incessantly. He would not stop blowing the art and said, Steve,
- 1:48Speaker 1: there's a storm coming. What are you doing? Why why
- 1:51Speaker 1: would you clean the yard for it to be destroyed
- 1:55Speaker 1: by the storm. He said, I think it's just therapy.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I think it's therapeutic for him. No, well, he said,
- 2:00Speaker 1: I have to look out the window and it looks clean,
- 2:02Speaker 1: the cup pretty, it looks now and I could look
- 2:04Speaker 1: out the window and it looks nice. I said, that's
- 2:05Speaker 1: gonna last an hour. When the rains, all the leaves
- 2:09Speaker 1: are gonna come. Then he was running out of places
- 2:12Speaker 1: to blow. I saw him inside the poolhouse. I'm like,
- 2:15Speaker 1: what are you doing in the poolhouse.
- 2:16Speaker 2: With the blower? There's nothing to blow in there, so
- 2:20Speaker 2: you fixed the blower. I know, last time I was
- 2:22Speaker 2: there it wasn't working.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Oh no, yeah, it was down in the rain by production.
- 2:28Speaker 1: So we got a new one.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Yeah, there's nothing like a new blower.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll say, in more ways than one, everything's been
- 2:38Speaker 1: festive around here. We've actually, you know, turned it into
- 2:42Speaker 1: a party if we could. You know, when you get
- 2:45Speaker 1: a little you get cabin fever, you have to come
- 2:47Speaker 1: up with things to do. I love to play scrabble.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Have you played scrabble?
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fun. It's it's so fun. I'm obsessed. Well
- 2:55Speaker 2: I was here board, but we had electricity.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Nothing happened, So it was just like a regular night
- 2:59Speaker 3: for us, and went to sleep early. Woke up the
- 3:03Speaker 3: next day. It was a beautiful day, went to the gym,
- 3:05Speaker 3: went for a walk.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Of course you did. You're so healthy.
- 3:08Speaker 3: You're trying to be help healthy and it's very therapeutic nowadays.
- 3:12Speaker 3: For me, it's all about therapy.
- 3:14Speaker 1: You got to do everything that makes you feel good.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You have to and bob out in Loweno mm hmmm.
- 3:20Speaker 2: So no, it was just like another beautiful day.
- 3:22Speaker 3: We closed the like Sam Frankie's Beauty Bar on Wednesday,
- 3:25Speaker 3: because you know, how everybody needed to get prepared for
- 3:28Speaker 3: the storm. And I feel like people also take advantage
- 3:32Speaker 3: that about what's going on so they don't have to
- 3:35Speaker 3: report at work.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I mean that schools that were.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Closed, so a lot of my girls have kids, So honestly,
- 3:40Speaker 3: you know, I think that that's the best decision, you know,
- 3:42Speaker 3: in a case like got to just close it. But
- 3:45Speaker 3: then on Thursday, we were open and you know, and busy.
- 3:48Speaker 3: You know, I guess everybody that took the day off
- 3:50Speaker 3: went to go to their nails.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Honey, listen, all that prep running a home deep them
- 3:54Speaker 1: preparing your yard and your home will screw up your
- 3:58Speaker 1: nails big times. So you you that was good for you.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I was open the next day. Ready for that? Yeah,
- 4:03Speaker 2: ready for that?
- 4:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Well on the happier news.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah, what's what's what's happy?
- 4:10Speaker 2: What's happy? You and Boo Bear me got married? You
- 4:14Speaker 2: and you and Boo.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Bear got officially married in the courthouse. So he did
- 4:20Speaker 3: sharing it with our audience now. But of course I
- 4:23Speaker 3: know about that, and I'm so happy for you.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Thank you. Yeah. And so I'm reading here someone leaked
- 4:30Speaker 2: it before you came home.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I I well, I don't even know how anybody
- 4:37Speaker 1: found out, because I really didn't tell anybody. I mean,
- 4:40Speaker 1: you knew, and then people we work with knew, and
- 4:44Speaker 1: that was no for you. No, I know, it wasn't you.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I don't even have time. I know, you don't know
- 4:50Speaker 1: how to leak anything. Usually would be it would be you, Marisol.
- 4:53Speaker 1: But yeah, it wasn't me because I was busy getting married.
- 4:56Speaker 1: So when I'm coming home from courthouse, I start getting
- 5:02Speaker 1: emails from William and my and my publicist Vanessa that
- 5:07Speaker 1: they forwarded to me from page six asking for confirmation
- 5:10Speaker 1: that we got married at the Coral Gables Courthouse. I
- 5:13Speaker 1: was like, Okay, well, nobody knows we're getting married at
- 5:16Speaker 1: the Coral Gables Courthouse except for me and Steve and
- 5:19Speaker 1: you know, people we work with. And yeah, so I
- 5:23Speaker 1: don't know who leaked it, but it got out there
- 5:25Speaker 1: and it was already an article before I even got
- 5:27Speaker 1: home from the courthouse.
- 5:28Speaker 2: It was already like the ink was still wet.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, exactly. But we had a really really really
- 5:36Speaker 1: fun time. You know, I like to make my weddings memorable.
- 5:39Speaker 1: So this was the third one.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Yeah, by yourself, because I've never been part of them.
- 5:43Speaker 2: No one gets to enjoy the mix.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Right. I didn't even have photos this time. I don't
- 5:49Speaker 1: have anything. I got one someone took and shared with
- 5:53Speaker 1: me a week later.
- 5:54Speaker 2: If this one not Papa, would you have made a
- 5:56Speaker 2: public Right now?
- 5:58Speaker 1: I feel silly already. You know, you've already had two
- 6:01Speaker 1: that were pretings. Your third No, two that were public,
- 6:05Speaker 1: And I was like, we're just going to the courthouse.
- 6:07Speaker 1: You know, it's not a big deal. I don't want
- 6:09Speaker 1: to make it a thing.
- 6:10Speaker 2: But by the way, this one's the one that really
- 6:13Speaker 2: counts well for you.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I mean they all count yeah, No, I mean I
- 6:18Speaker 3: want to say, I know for you, it's always counted
- 6:20Speaker 3: because the's spiritual. I mean, like you are all about
- 6:22Speaker 3: the spiritual Celomon ceremony.
- 6:24Speaker 1: The first one was spiritual, the second one was legit,
- 6:27Speaker 1: but it just wasn't you know in the US.
- 6:29Speaker 2: In your country, Well, that means it's a legit.
- 6:31Speaker 3: I mean I feel like they're a legit, right, I mean,
- 6:33Speaker 3: you've the sacraments and the vowels are olligit and you've
- 6:37Speaker 3: been with Steve for four years living together. You were
- 6:40Speaker 3: like super married, right. It's just now that you signed
- 6:43Speaker 3: a piece of paper right.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Where you are we needed to make things legal for
- 6:47Speaker 1: certain you know reasons we're getting a little older, and
- 6:51Speaker 1: well we'll save that for another day. But you know,
- 6:54Speaker 1: it was it was it.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Just wanted to make it official. You wanted to make
- 6:57Speaker 2: it was a good thing.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, in the eyes of the law, for you know,
- 7:03Speaker 1: legal reasons and wills and trusts and all that stuff
- 7:06Speaker 1: kind of thing you know, grow grown up talk things
- 7:11Speaker 1: I never thought i'd have to worry about my life.
- 7:14Speaker 3: For me, I mean, that's all very important, but for me,
- 7:15Speaker 3: it's always been more like the commitment, even though it's
- 7:19Speaker 3: always like a commitment obviously between you know, a couple
- 7:22Speaker 3: when you're living together, even you know there's no paper,
- 7:26Speaker 3: but like for me, it's always meant like it's more security,
- 7:31Speaker 3: you know, emotionally, And I mean you wouldn't think that
- 7:34Speaker 3: I would think that right after three marriages, but I
- 7:37Speaker 3: still believe that, Like I'm like, it's like a commitment,
- 7:40Speaker 3: like okay, now it's like really, I don't want to
- 7:44Speaker 3: say real because it's always real, but it's hard for
- 7:47Speaker 3: me to put it in words, but it's like emotional security,
- 7:52Speaker 3: you know, for me, more than anything I felt.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I did when you came over with Julia like a
- 8:00Speaker 1: few days after the wedding, and we were sitting there talking.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I was like, God, I'm a married woman. I am
- 8:07Speaker 1: married to Steven. I felt very married in that moment
- 8:09Speaker 1: when I was talking to you girls. I felt it
- 8:11Speaker 1: on the inside. I was like, this is real right now.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's a good feeling. So are you
- 8:17Speaker 2: going to take his last name?
- 8:20Speaker 1: No?
- 8:20Speaker 2: No, not, no, I'm not.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Well.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Well, I just I've lived with this last name for
- 8:25Speaker 1: so long.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Everybody knows me. Is this path right?
- 8:27Speaker 3: Well, we're gonna talk. We're gonna get into that in
- 8:29Speaker 3: a little bit. Because speaking of marriage. Is a woman
- 8:32Speaker 3: that says her ex of twenty six years is getting remarried,
- 8:36Speaker 3: but she doesn't want to draw up his last name MH.
- 8:39Speaker 3: On a Reddit post, a woman asked for advice on
- 8:42Speaker 3: whether or not she was in the wrong for choosing
- 8:44Speaker 3: to keep her last name from a prior marriage despite
- 8:48Speaker 3: her ex husband getting engaged again. And by the way,
- 8:51Speaker 3: it's with another man, she posted, but apparently the guy's
- 8:58Speaker 3: really jealous.
- 8:58Speaker 4: See it.
- 8:59Speaker 3: People gonna say the guy's the one that wants her
- 9:00Speaker 3: to drop the name. She you know, his fiance. Oh,
- 9:05Speaker 3: she posted I divorced my husband two years ago after
- 9:09Speaker 3: twenty six years of marriage. We have four kids, and
- 9:12Speaker 3: the split was amicable. He came out as gay and
- 9:16Speaker 3: we mutually agreed to part ways. Changing my name wasn't
- 9:20Speaker 3: a priority. I still use his last name on official documents,
- 9:23Speaker 3: but go by my maiden name socially.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Mm hmm okay.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Then at their grandsons okay. So then at their grandson's party,
- 9:32Speaker 3: her ex suddenly asked if she would consider dropping his
- 9:34Speaker 3: last name. His fiance chimed in, saying that it makes
- 9:38Speaker 3: them very uncomfortable that I still use it, and that
- 9:41Speaker 3: she isn't yeah, and that she isn't moving on and
- 9:44Speaker 3: clinging to something in the past. But also the woman
- 9:48Speaker 3: doesn't want to change it to be the odd one
- 9:51Speaker 3: out and feel corner to do something she isn't comfortable
- 9:54Speaker 3: doing just to keep peace.
- 9:56Speaker 1: That's crazy. Why would this guy care. He's a man
- 9:59Speaker 1: in a in a in a male relationship, and that's
- 10:03Speaker 1: a woman that he had all four children.
- 10:05Speaker 3: But even if it was with a woman, like it
- 10:07Speaker 3: doesn't matter what the sex is. It doesn't matter that
- 10:09Speaker 3: it's gay and the fiancees a man. It could be
- 10:11Speaker 3: a woman.
- 10:11Speaker 1: All feeling if he's feeling uncomfortable, I would I would think,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I mean from competition of.
- 10:16Speaker 3: All, this woman has had that name, the last name,
- 10:20Speaker 3: her husband's last name, for twenty six years. It's more
- 10:23Speaker 3: like her last name, you know what I mean. I'm
- 10:25Speaker 3: her child, her adult life or her adult life. She's
- 10:28Speaker 3: had that last name, and she has four children with
- 10:31Speaker 3: him as well, and it just like makes no sense,
- 10:34Speaker 3: like you can keep your ex husband's last name, and
- 10:37Speaker 3: that's something that's very personal.
- 10:39Speaker 1: He's being controlling, he's being controlling. That's not right, right
- 10:43Speaker 1: until twenty six years.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Right, So what would you do if your ex asked
- 10:49Speaker 3: it has to you to take back that he wanted
- 10:51Speaker 3: his last name back from you.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I'd it freakyet it. It's not happening, Well, it depends.
- 10:57Speaker 3: I don't feel like the few Sometimes you are like
- 11:00Speaker 3: the last name you got for me my husband, and
- 11:02Speaker 3: it's like you can have a bag if you too.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Have a good long name, then you like it. Then
- 11:06Speaker 1: you liked it because I never took any of them.
- 11:10Speaker 3: But that's not why you didn't do it. Did you
- 11:12Speaker 3: honestly know that because I like my last name better. Okay,
- 11:15Speaker 3: Well that's silly it's an excellent name.
- 11:17Speaker 2: It is.
- 11:18Speaker 3: It's a very strong name. It's very powerful. I agree
- 11:21Speaker 3: with you. I feel like the first husband most women.
- 11:25Speaker 3: You know, times have changed and a lot of women
- 11:27Speaker 3: will keep their last their maiden name and hyphenate, which
- 11:30Speaker 3: is actually a very good thing. That's what I should
- 11:32Speaker 3: have probably done, because it would have been easier to
- 11:34Speaker 3: just drop all of the drop it.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Yeah, tell might not name now.
- 11:38Speaker 3: And my maiden name, which nobody actually knows because I
- 11:41Speaker 3: got married at a young age, so at the age
- 11:44Speaker 3: of twenty four twenty five, I already had my son's
- 11:48Speaker 3: dad's last name, Rosello, and then I became a teacher
- 11:51Speaker 3: with that name, so I was Missus Rosello, Missus Rosello.
- 11:54Speaker 3: And and I feel that for women, I can speak
- 11:56Speaker 3: for myself and for many other women that I know
- 11:59Speaker 3: and I'm friends with, that it was very important for
- 12:02Speaker 3: them to keep their last name because of their children.
- 12:05Speaker 3: You know, you don't want to go to school and
- 12:06Speaker 3: your last name is different, and your kids is different,
- 12:09Speaker 3: and they referred to different.
- 12:10Speaker 2: It's really hard for the kids.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I mean, times have changed, and like for example, my
- 12:14Speaker 3: mother was divorced five times and she never she took.
- 12:18Speaker 3: My father was her first husband, so she took his
- 12:21Speaker 3: last name Figurelo, which is my maiden name. And she
- 12:24Speaker 3: became a doctor as Figuerelo, so everybody knew her as
- 12:28Speaker 3: doctor Figurelo, just like my dad there was a doctor,
- 12:30Speaker 3: doctor Figuerrelo. So that's another reason why women keep last names. Right,
- 12:34Speaker 3: It's like her professional name. Everybody knew w her was
- 12:36Speaker 3: doctor Figuerrelo. So she would have gone divorced all these
- 12:39Speaker 3: times and had all these different last names. It would
- 12:41Speaker 3: have affected her business. So that's another, you know, good
- 12:44Speaker 3: reason why women keep you know, the last name of
- 12:47Speaker 3: the of their husband.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Well, I mean I was a business person and my
- 12:51Speaker 1: company was called Patent Group. My television name is Patten
- 12:56Speaker 1: and to be changing it because now I'm almost I've
- 12:58Speaker 1: been married two times while I've been doing.
- 13:01Speaker 2: The show to different people. It's just for me, it's
- 13:04Speaker 2: easier to just stay Patent right.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Well, maybe I should have done that, Maybe I should
- 13:08Speaker 3: have done that, but you see, I've been with I'm
- 13:09Speaker 3: very traditional and for sure, when I married the father
- 13:13Speaker 3: of my kids, I wanted his last name, and you know,
- 13:16Speaker 3: my kids have.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Their last name. I liked the last name Rosello.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, and it was pretty and you know, I was
- 13:21Speaker 3: young and you know, and why not. But then with
- 13:24Speaker 3: my second husband, you know, I guess I'm very like
- 13:29Speaker 3: really like machikamen because like it's been like a deal
- 13:32Speaker 3: breaker for them, like you need to change your last name,
- 13:34Speaker 3: like you're not Rosello anymore.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Now you're a Chevaria. You know, I said, you know what,
- 13:38Speaker 2: that's like a powerful name. Whatever. But the funny thing
- 13:41Speaker 2: was that his ex wife was yeah, but no, but
- 13:46Speaker 2: it's like a powerful last name. I mean, they've all
- 13:48Speaker 2: been good.
- 13:49Speaker 3: But the funny thing was that herman's ex wife Kepta
- 13:54Speaker 3: and she was so proud of it. She would like
- 13:55Speaker 3: call everybody and say, oh, this is Eleana Chavarria, like
- 13:58Speaker 3: Herman's whatever.
- 13:59Speaker 2: And I was like, no, bro, like calm down, like
- 14:01Speaker 2: you know you want to come down.
- 14:04Speaker 3: It's like now, and and I'm the current one, so
- 14:08Speaker 3: just calm down. But I feel like so And it's
- 14:12Speaker 3: funny because I know of men that have wanted their
- 14:16Speaker 3: ex wives to drop the last name. They actually offered
- 14:19Speaker 3: the money. Many out the really either like you know what,
- 14:24Speaker 3: we want nothing else to do with you give.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Me back my last name.
- 14:27Speaker 1: You know that that could be like a like a business.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I should have done that, and hopefully.
- 14:32Speaker 2: No, because the women won't do like the men that
- 14:35Speaker 2: I'm talking about how much money are we talking about?
- 14:38Speaker 2: Because I would be and want just to bother.
- 14:43Speaker 3: They won't give them back the last name because they
- 14:45Speaker 3: know that the men detest them and want nothing to
- 14:49Speaker 3: do with the last name, you know, don't want them
- 14:50Speaker 3: to have that last name, so like to bother, They're like, yes,
- 14:53Speaker 3: what it's my last name too, so I'm not giving
- 14:55Speaker 3: it up.
- 14:56Speaker 2: I often wonder how do you feel about his ex
- 15:00Speaker 2: as you see?
- 15:02Speaker 1: Yeah, well he hasn't talked about it with me, but
- 15:06Speaker 1: I always wonder Betty can't stand it?
- 15:09Speaker 2: Of course he can't.
- 15:11Speaker 3: But more importantly, the thing is that she hasn't gotten married. No,
- 15:14Speaker 3: so she hasn't gotten married, so she hasn't had to
- 15:17Speaker 3: change it with me. I mean I would have been
- 15:19Speaker 3: Rosello if I wouldn't have had to change it. I
- 15:21Speaker 3: would have still been Rosello. But you know I had
- 15:23Speaker 3: to change it with herman. And then also when I
- 15:26Speaker 3: married you know, Todd two years ago, that was also
- 15:29Speaker 3: like a conversation and at that moment, like you said,
- 15:33Speaker 3: like you, I had already, Like my professional name was Alexa,
- 15:37Speaker 3: and everybody knew me and knows me as Alex.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Do you even have to have a last name.
- 15:42Speaker 3: I'm just going to be like Share. I'm got to
- 15:44Speaker 3: be like Share. I'm got to be Alexia, and that's.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It, Alexia Astrid or why you give yourself a stage name,
- 15:50Speaker 1: like a really cool stage name.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Like that's even confusing. No, I'm just gonna leave Alexia.
- 15:54Speaker 3: I'm just gonna leave Alexia and we'll see because I mean, after.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Well, of course you're not changing Alexia Alexia.
- 16:00Speaker 2: No, I know.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Well I'm just I don't know, Shares just Share. Maybe
- 16:03Speaker 3: I could just be Alexia. Yeah, i mean Madonna's just Madonna.
- 16:08Speaker 3: You know, Well she's Madonna Luis Chicane, Well yeah, but
- 16:11Speaker 3: she goes by Madonna. Yeah, I'm sure Share has her
- 16:13Speaker 3: names too. I mean, I'm still gonna go buy all
- 16:15Speaker 3: my names, but like, just like Alexi, I'll just keep
- 16:18Speaker 3: it simple. But then with you see, it all has
- 16:20Speaker 3: to do with your relationships and with the man you're marrying,
- 16:23Speaker 3: because then we thought it was important for him for
- 16:26Speaker 3: me to take his name, and you know, like I.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Remember I have a problem.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't Remember, I don't have a problem with
- 16:33Speaker 3: it because I know it was important to him, And
- 16:35Speaker 3: because it was important to him, I said, Okay, well
- 16:37Speaker 3: I don't really mind because you know, at the end.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Of the day, I am figured though, baby, because that
- 16:41Speaker 4: was my birth name, that's my father's name, and I'm
- 16:45Speaker 4: always going to be Figuelo my genes, you know, my
- 16:47Speaker 4: my my genetics or Figurelo, and the last name is
- 16:51Speaker 4: just the last name.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Listen, this is getting confusing for me because I've known
- 16:55Speaker 1: you with all your names. Why have you in my
- 16:57Speaker 1: phone as Pigueel. I've had you in my phone as Rosello,
- 17:01Speaker 1: I had in my phone as a Chevalia. Now you're Napola.
- 17:04Speaker 1: It's very confusing. This is why I do not change
- 17:07Speaker 1: my name.
- 17:09Speaker 2: You really, that is true? You got to point my friend.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so what are you this week? Because I need
- 17:15Speaker 1: to update my phone?
- 17:18Speaker 2: Just share.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just gonna be Alexia for now till I
- 17:22Speaker 3: figure things out.
- 17:23Speaker 2: And besides that, it's so much work. Yeah, it's a
- 17:27Speaker 2: that's another thing.
- 17:28Speaker 3: You know.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I hate work, so I don't want to be bothered
- 17:30Speaker 2: with it.
- 17:30Speaker 3: I don't want to do all that shit to change
- 17:32Speaker 3: to change my inecurity your passports. Wait, you have to
- 17:36Speaker 3: show like that you're divorced. You know, it's a lot
- 17:38Speaker 3: of work. I'm not ready to do that.
- 17:41Speaker 2: It's a lot of work.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Yeah, in my phone I have when you call it,
- 17:44Speaker 1: says Alexia bro. So maybe you should be Alexia Astrid Bro.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I like that, Like, that's your middle name a lot too,
- 17:53Speaker 2: Alexi Astrod.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:54Speaker 3: But anyways, I say, this lady needs to keep her
- 17:57Speaker 3: last name. She had it for twenty six years. If
- 17:59Speaker 3: she wants it's it's really should be up to the person.
- 18:02Speaker 3: It's something so personal.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I would have been so angry at that guy, would
- 18:05Speaker 1: have been like, who the hell do you think you are?
- 18:07Speaker 1: That's my name.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Too.
- 18:09Speaker 3: But there's women that tell their husbands, hey, like your
- 18:12Speaker 3: your ex wife should change her last name too, and
- 18:14Speaker 3: the woman won't do it. Like I'm telling you, I
- 18:16Speaker 3: know men that have offered in their settlements money to
- 18:19Speaker 3: the woman to change her.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Last name and take it back because they don't want them.
- 18:23Speaker 3: To do it.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I missed that boat the cash payout. Hey, did you
- 18:28Speaker 1: ever want herman's ex to change her name?
- 18:32Speaker 3: No?
- 18:32Speaker 2: You know that didn't bother me because at the end
- 18:34Speaker 2: I knew who the missus was? It was me.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Who That's right. In other news about husbands and wives,
- 18:51Speaker 1: Matthew Brodnick reveals why he never joined wife Sarah Jessica
- 18:55Speaker 1: Parker on Sex and the City. In an episode of
- 18:57Speaker 1: the podcast This Life of Mine with James Gordon, Broderick
- 19:01Speaker 1: talked about his acting career and his marriage to the
- 19:04Speaker 1: iconic Sex and the City actress. Reflecting on why he
- 19:08Speaker 1: never appeared on the same series, Broddick said, he was asked,
- 19:11Speaker 1: but it never worked out. He said that was her
- 19:15Speaker 1: thing and that would be stunting me or something. I
- 19:19Speaker 1: don't know. It just never worked out. I love that
- 19:21Speaker 1: show and I would have been delighted to be in it,
- 19:24Speaker 1: but it just.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Never lined up, right.
- 19:26Speaker 1: So that's interesting.
- 19:29Speaker 2: That's interesting.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 3: I mean they're both they're both stars, and you know,
- 19:33Speaker 3: they're huge stars. And you know, I'm sure he loves
- 19:37Speaker 3: to see his wife shine just like she loves to
- 19:39Speaker 3: see him shine. And they both came into the marriages
- 19:42Speaker 3: already being very successful, being very well known actors. And
- 19:47Speaker 3: you know the good thing about them too, is that
- 19:48Speaker 3: they understand the industry. I think it could be a
- 19:53Speaker 3: lot better when they don't understand the industry because there's
- 19:55Speaker 3: a different level of respect and support because there's an
- 19:59Speaker 3: underst and I feel a lot of times when the
- 20:03Speaker 3: spouses aren't as supportive is because they're not part of
- 20:05Speaker 3: our world.
- 20:06Speaker 2: They get it right well.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I also think that they both you know, it takes
- 20:12Speaker 1: us a special person also to let their partners shine,
- 20:17Speaker 1: and especially in the you know, in the acting business,
- 20:22Speaker 1: if we want to call it that. In the world
- 20:24Speaker 1: of Hollywood, it's a lot of ups and downs and
- 20:28Speaker 1: one maybe at the top and the other one is
- 20:31Speaker 1: not getting the jobs and not getting the work or
- 20:33Speaker 1: vice versa. And I think that puts a lot of
- 20:36Speaker 1: straight No, I think, yeah, but it puts a lot
- 20:39Speaker 1: of strain on the relationship. And it takes a special
- 20:42Speaker 1: person to be cool with it and let you just
- 20:45Speaker 1: shine and do your thing. And I feel like.
- 20:47Speaker 2: That happens a lot.
- 20:49Speaker 1: And I feel like there's a bunch of solid couples,
- 20:51Speaker 1: like they've.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Been very private about their personal life, which has worked
- 20:55Speaker 3: out for them, and they're like a loss of an
- 20:58Speaker 3: old like Hollywood couple you know that still together and
- 21:02Speaker 3: the long time right, And just because he's not in
- 21:05Speaker 3: Sex and the City or in any of her projects.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Doesn't mean he doesn't support her or or vice versa.
- 21:10Speaker 1: He does a lot of Broadway work.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Right, And besides that, Sarah Sarah Jessica, I'd rather go
- 21:16Speaker 3: with Anty Cohen.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Yah, she has a date.
- 21:21Speaker 3: So it's okay, Matthew Andy Cohen will take her place
- 21:24Speaker 3: for like the social events, but you know, as far
- 21:27Speaker 3: as sex and the City goes too, it's like, you know,
- 21:29Speaker 3: it's he's probably like a really smart guy because he's
- 21:31Speaker 3: probably saying, why am I like his his Like you said,
- 21:34Speaker 3: he does a lot of theater. He's done like movies
- 21:36Speaker 3: and like a different genre, Like why is he going
- 21:39Speaker 3: to like kind of like dip into her thing?
- 21:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really her thing.
- 21:43Speaker 3: He's actually really smart that he's not doing that because
- 21:46Speaker 3: this is really her thing.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Is it would have looked like she was throwing him
- 21:51Speaker 1: a bone. And you know who who has her husband
- 21:55Speaker 1: in all her films is Melissa McCarthy, the comedian. She's
- 21:59Speaker 1: so funny Melissa McCarthy. I don't know if you know
- 22:02Speaker 1: what her husband looks like, but every single film she does,
- 22:06Speaker 1: he's in there. What's his cameos? I don't know. He's
- 22:09Speaker 1: like sometimes he's a once he was an air marshall.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Sometimes he's a boyfriend, sometimes he's a couple. He just
- 22:15Speaker 1: has these random you know, you know, positions or rolls
- 22:21Speaker 1: and and I always see him and I'm like, she
- 22:23Speaker 1: helps him out. You could tell she gets all the
- 22:25Speaker 1: work and that she helps him out and he goes in.
- 22:28Speaker 1: But they've also been together a long time, and I
- 22:31Speaker 1: guess he's okay with it. You know, it depends on
- 22:34Speaker 1: the person, depends on the couple.
- 22:36Speaker 2: So do you think your husband should be supportive no
- 22:38Speaker 2: matter what your decisions are?
- 22:41Speaker 1: Listen, it's a I mean, in a perfect world.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Frank you saying no, hear about going well, listen, well,
- 22:49Speaker 2: not exactly right, right. Yeah, If I'm.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Gonna go down the street and smoke crack with the
- 22:56Speaker 1: guys because they're down the corner smoking crack not far
- 22:58Speaker 1: from my house, I don't think SEE would be cool
- 23:00Speaker 1: with them, and I don't.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Want to be cool.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I hope it's like drag me out there. Not that
- 23:05Speaker 1: I would do it, but I'm just saying, well, I mean.
- 23:07Speaker 3: I'm just let's just keep it to decisions that obviously
- 23:10Speaker 3: are not going to hurt you.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Know, both of you.
- 23:12Speaker 3: I mean, this is like, really broad and really general.
- 23:15Speaker 3: You know, I can sit here and talk about this
- 23:16Speaker 3: all day long. Yeah, you know, because again, I feel
- 23:22Speaker 3: that they're a good balance, or they're a good couple
- 23:25Speaker 3: because they both know the industry and the entertainment world,
- 23:29Speaker 3: and sometimes it's easier to support. I mean that's just
- 23:32Speaker 3: me personally, that's what I think. You know, some people
- 23:34Speaker 3: say the opposite. Oh, no, you don't want to marry
- 23:36Speaker 3: anybody in the industry because it's a problem. It's better
- 23:38Speaker 3: to be to marry somebody that has nothing to do.
- 23:40Speaker 2: With my world.
- 23:42Speaker 3: But you know what, with just in my experience, I
- 23:44Speaker 3: think it's easier when you marry somebody in this case,
- 23:48Speaker 3: right that understands it, because you know, you have to
- 23:50Speaker 3: have the conversation if you're making a decision without them,
- 23:53Speaker 3: you know, you always want their love and support, right,
- 23:55Speaker 3: who doesn't want that?
- 23:56Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 23:57Speaker 3: I always want They're blessing their love and support. But
- 23:59Speaker 3: you know, there has to be like you have to
- 24:01Speaker 3: come to like an agreement, an understanding, you know, because
- 24:06Speaker 3: it's not only you know what you want or what
- 24:08Speaker 3: he wants, you know, And I feel like the medium, yeah,
- 24:11Speaker 3: I feel like you still have been able to figure
- 24:13Speaker 3: it out.
- 24:14Speaker 1: They know how figure it out to work together and compromise.
- 24:17Speaker 1: I got very lucky because seems like whatever you're doing,
- 24:21Speaker 1: I want to support it. And he gives me no
- 24:23Speaker 1: hard time about anything. He's very easy and open to
- 24:27Speaker 1: what I'm doing. And I know a lot of men
- 24:30Speaker 1: in the situation that we're in and our business of
- 24:33Speaker 1: reality TV, they just don't want to be any part
- 24:38Speaker 1: of it.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Well, reality TV is a lot different, very different. It's
- 24:41Speaker 3: a lot harder than just going descript it.
- 24:45Speaker 2: And then.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Or they're into it and then they have a bad
- 24:50Speaker 1: experience and then they pull back, and then they make
- 24:52Speaker 1: it hard for you. But he's so easy, so great
- 24:56Speaker 1: and super sid I mean, if I.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Got lucky, you did, you have a very special human being,
- 25:01Speaker 3: not only you know for you know, because he supports
- 25:03Speaker 3: you and on the show, but I think he's like
- 25:07Speaker 3: your life partner. He supports you and everything and everything
- 25:10Speaker 3: I've seen it in the last four years. Yeah, so
- 25:13Speaker 3: that's very important. But you know, we can't expect all
- 25:16Speaker 3: of the men to be the same. And you know, somehow
- 25:18Speaker 3: us right, some house husbands do the same as Matthew,
- 25:22Speaker 3: and they don't participate and they don't get involved while
- 25:25Speaker 3: filming Housewives. Do you think that's okay or do you
- 25:28Speaker 3: think like that's not okay? Like what does it say
- 25:31Speaker 3: to you?
- 25:33Speaker 1: I mean, I think that you have to do what's
- 25:35Speaker 1: best for you. It's a personal choice.
- 25:37Speaker 2: But here lies the problem. You know what happens.
- 25:40Speaker 3: So if they do support you and they come on,
- 25:43Speaker 3: I mean, what's support participating? You know, the support and
- 25:46Speaker 3: another thing is participating, Like I like my husband to
- 25:48Speaker 3: support me. He may not want to participate, and I
- 25:51Speaker 3: get that. I respect that a little.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I think. Yeah, So the thing is, so this is
- 25:56Speaker 2: what happens on our kind of show.
- 25:58Speaker 3: So if they don't film at all and they don't
- 26:00Speaker 3: want to be part of this, then the girls are
- 26:03Speaker 3: going to run with the story and say, oh, well
- 26:05Speaker 3: that's because you're having marital problems, or that's because you're
- 26:07Speaker 3: having all kinds.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Of problems exactly.
- 26:11Speaker 3: So then they starts the rumors and then you give
- 26:13Speaker 3: them the storyline. So it's like your damn if you do,
- 26:15Speaker 3: your damn if you don't. And then if the husband
- 26:17Speaker 3: shows up and he tries so like some husbands are
- 26:21Speaker 3: uncomfortable in front of the camera and you know they're
- 26:25Speaker 3: they're seeing a certain way that maybe you know, the
- 26:27Speaker 3: viewers don't them as well. You know, we have three
- 26:29Speaker 3: and a half months of filming, but we can have
- 26:31Speaker 3: one bad scene or one bad day with the girls,
- 26:34Speaker 3: but then we have months to make it up. We
- 26:36Speaker 3: have three months to make it up.
- 26:37Speaker 2: These men are on just.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Like maybe like at a big party or one or
- 26:41Speaker 3: two or three scenes, and that's all you get to
- 26:44Speaker 3: see them, so you really don't know so much of them,
- 26:46Speaker 3: so it's scary for them. It's you know, their participation
- 26:49Speaker 3: on the show is a lot different from like let's say,
- 26:52Speaker 3: Matthew participating in Sex and the City. But with that
- 26:56Speaker 3: being said, we all like to feel supported.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Of course, and we're all under a microscope here and
- 27:02Speaker 1: everybody wants to have opinions about us, and we give
- 27:05Speaker 1: them the material to have the opinions about us. But
- 27:08Speaker 1: the husbands don't really sign up for that. They're just
- 27:10Speaker 1: there for us.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Right, So then what do you so, how do you
- 27:13Speaker 3: think about how do you feel about that? Do you
- 27:15Speaker 3: think that the husband's like they get too involved? Do
- 27:18Speaker 3: you think that's a good situation or about situation?
- 27:20Speaker 1: No? No, no, no, no no, no, think I know
- 27:23Speaker 1: you agree with me on this one. When a husband
- 27:26Speaker 1: gets too involved in the women's business on our show,
- 27:31Speaker 1: it is just it's chaotic, it's yeah, and it's it's
- 27:36Speaker 1: just wrong.
- 27:37Speaker 2: It's not a good look. It's not a good look.
- 27:39Speaker 1: It just doesn't work.
- 27:40Speaker 2: I agree, it's not.
- 27:41Speaker 1: And then they look weird, like they're thirsty, like they
- 27:44Speaker 1: want to be one of the girls, or like they
- 27:46Speaker 1: really want it's I think you're doing a new jersey
- 27:50Speaker 1: for me. It's like wow, like I see, I mean,
- 27:54Speaker 1: I can't.
- 27:55Speaker 3: The thing with Jersey is they have a different dynamics,
- 27:58Speaker 3: their their their city, their franchise, completely different from ours.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Thank god we don't have that because our husbands are
- 28:04Speaker 3: too smart and they don't want to participate that way.
- 28:07Speaker 1: I would have to be committed. If I had to
- 28:09Speaker 1: deal with that, Malay, I would have to be put
- 28:11Speaker 1: into an institution.
- 28:13Speaker 2: No, I don't think for anybody's relationship.
- 28:15Speaker 3: I listen, a lot of them are still married, so
- 28:17Speaker 3: you know what good for them? You know they figured
- 28:19Speaker 3: it out, ye, But yeah, I think I don't think
- 28:23Speaker 3: it's appropriate honestly, and you know, it makes me feel
- 28:25Speaker 3: really awkward, like for example, like at Nicole's engagement party
- 28:30Speaker 3: that you know, Adrianna brought her fake boyfriend, you know,
- 28:34Speaker 3: to say he wasn't married, and he literally started insulting me,
- 28:37Speaker 3: like who does that like a man? Like if todt
- 28:40Speaker 3: or anybody else would have been there, like he would
- 28:42Speaker 3: have defended me.
- 28:43Speaker 2: And then he gets in trouble for that. It's like
- 28:44Speaker 2: it's so.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Crazy and him up before he got there.
- 28:48Speaker 2: It doesn't matter.
- 28:49Speaker 3: But that's not fair, Like he deserved it for me
- 28:52Speaker 3: to like actually throw a drink at him, but he
- 28:55Speaker 3: was like insulting me and talking down to me, and
- 28:58Speaker 3: that's where it comes.
- 29:00Speaker 1: You will throw a drink.
- 29:01Speaker 3: No, I'm just I'm just saying I've never I do
- 29:04Speaker 3: not resort to violence at all. And I've been on
- 29:07Speaker 3: the show for all these years and they've never ever
- 29:09Speaker 3: seen that, because you'll never see that that tied to
- 29:12Speaker 3: me because I don't have it. I'm actually very kind
- 29:15Speaker 3: and empathetic. But that was very, very disrespectful. And that's
- 29:19Speaker 3: what I'm talking about. The husbands. You know, we've seen
- 29:21Speaker 3: Russell that's had to get into scenes, you know, to
- 29:23Speaker 3: defend Gerdy. We've seen you know, Todd defending me, you know,
- 29:28Speaker 3: with Anthony's situation.
- 29:30Speaker 2: You know, we've seen, you know, Marcus. You know, it's
- 29:33Speaker 2: just not a good look for you know.
- 29:34Speaker 3: So my suggestion is like, yes, you know, we want
- 29:38Speaker 3: to know that they're there by us and they're supporting us,
- 29:42Speaker 3: but the least they can participate would be like, you know,
- 29:46Speaker 3: the smartest thing to do and the healthiest thing to do. So,
- 29:58Speaker 3: you know, I feel like sometimes you know, our husbands
- 30:02Speaker 3: or partners you know, get involved in the show just
- 30:05Speaker 3: because they have to, because they feel they need to
- 30:08Speaker 3: support us that way, and it actually like hurts them
- 30:10Speaker 3: in a way because you know they're doing it not
- 30:13Speaker 3: really wanting to do it. And I feel like we
- 30:15Speaker 3: saw that all lot with like Lenny and Lisa, Like
- 30:17Speaker 3: he participated very little and you can tell he really
- 30:20Speaker 3: didn't like the show, and every time he would come on,
- 30:22Speaker 3: he would look like a like, you know, like a
- 30:24Speaker 3: mean person like he was, you know.
- 30:28Speaker 1: When there's no cameras around, he has a mean face.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Twice for seven.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Well that's what we say too. It's kind of like
- 30:33Speaker 3: and this is like our defense, like you can't light
- 30:34Speaker 3: to the camera. You know a lot of these guys
- 30:36Speaker 3: are saying like, oh, okay, well that's not really how we are.
- 30:39Speaker 2: But Okay, you are that way because I can't hide
- 30:42Speaker 2: to the camera.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I think he loved the show. I think he loved
- 30:45Speaker 1: it for his business. He was all over that well, and.
- 30:48Speaker 2: He's there lies the problem.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Like these men like the show because of the fame
- 30:53Speaker 3: and what it brings to them, everything they could get.
- 30:55Speaker 2: But with the bad, I mean with the good.
- 30:58Speaker 1: When the fame turns on you, then that's the other.
- 31:01Speaker 1: That's the problem.
- 31:03Speaker 3: And we and we saw that, we saw that, We
- 31:06Speaker 3: saw that happen, you know to Lenny, you know, for
- 31:08Speaker 3: like the last two years.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm very well deserved.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Well, I think that listen, and all relationships, each couple,
- 31:16Speaker 1: each partner in the relationship should have their own autonomy,
- 31:19Speaker 1: have their own stuff going on, because you don't want
- 31:22Speaker 1: to come home and not have anything to talk about.
- 31:24Speaker 1: It's more exciting when you come home and share this
- 31:26Speaker 1: happen in my day, and that happened in my day,
- 31:29Speaker 1: and you each have your own life and thing going on.
- 31:33Speaker 3: And I agree, I agree. I think you could be
- 31:35Speaker 3: successful separately. You don't have to be, like I said,
- 31:39Speaker 3: just because you know you're an actress, your husband doesn't
- 31:41Speaker 3: have to be an actor and share the same kind
- 31:42Speaker 3: of stories. I think that opposite opposites a track and
- 31:46Speaker 3: you can have success in a marriage and that doesn't
- 31:51Speaker 3: really tear the marriage apart, you know, not having like
- 31:54Speaker 3: that success together.
- 31:55Speaker 1: And competition is always you know, around for content. It
- 32:01Speaker 1: creates toxicity.
- 32:04Speaker 3: It's well, yeah, but you should never compete, whether you're
- 32:06Speaker 3: in the same business or not. That's like, but men
- 32:08Speaker 3: do men to compete with the women. The thing is like,
- 32:11Speaker 3: if we're talking about real actors or like reality TV,
- 32:14Speaker 3: there's no man except for Jody that wants to, you know,
- 32:17Speaker 3: manage Lisa's reality TV career.
- 32:22Speaker 2: I mean it's true. I mean one man.
- 32:24Speaker 3: Wants to manage a reality TV star like you know,
- 32:26Speaker 3: our spouse. Like that's you know, let's not it's not fun.
- 32:30Speaker 3: I mean I think that could be toxic and it
- 32:33Speaker 3: could be bad, right because we really have no control,
- 32:36Speaker 3: is what I'm trying to say.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Our show is a reality TV show.
- 32:39Speaker 3: We don't have control over the editing, and that's where
- 32:41Speaker 3: things get you know, scary and messed up.
- 32:43Speaker 2: So this is different. Now.
- 32:45Speaker 3: On the other hand, I do believe that there's a
- 32:47Speaker 3: lot of actresses and entertainers that that do work with
- 32:52Speaker 3: their spouse and maybe they're in the same business or
- 32:55Speaker 3: maybe they do you know, like for example, Jala was
- 32:58Speaker 3: working with Ben Affleck. They're both actors, but Ben as
- 33:02Speaker 3: a director, he's a producer, So I think that's healthy.
- 33:06Speaker 3: I if you know, again, it's not really the career.
- 33:09Speaker 3: I feel as like the bond and the relationship that
- 33:12Speaker 3: you have established with your partner and if you're emotionally
- 33:15Speaker 3: you know, mature and there's an understanding.
- 33:18Speaker 2: You know, I feel like there could be more powerful.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Like that's how the power couples.
- 33:21Speaker 3: You know, there's a lot of power couples because they
- 33:24Speaker 3: do the same thing. The great Well, nothing works for her,
- 33:28Speaker 3: nothing's worked for her when she was with the backup
- 33:30Speaker 3: dancer Doogon, but again she was you know, would.
- 33:32Speaker 2: She help all of them? And I find I think
- 33:35Speaker 2: it's a way of like kind of you.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Know, tightening the news, keeping them close, baiting them with
- 33:41Speaker 1: you know, money projects.
- 33:43Speaker 2: You know, you really don't know, you know.
- 33:45Speaker 3: I just feel like I would be excited, like if
- 33:47Speaker 3: I was going out with somebody, Oh my god, not
- 33:49Speaker 3: a reality TV star, because I would never do that
- 33:52Speaker 3: with somebody like in my same business, you know what
- 33:54Speaker 3: I mean. It could be exciting. You know, it could
- 33:57Speaker 3: be fun. You can share ideas. Absolutely, I feel like
- 34:00Speaker 3: there's that mutual understanding and kind of like emotional support
- 34:03Speaker 3: because you're like in the same business, right, But it
- 34:06Speaker 3: doesn't matter what you do. Being a supportive partner means
- 34:10Speaker 3: that you have to like really listen to the person
- 34:13Speaker 3: you're with. You have to care for them, you have
- 34:15Speaker 3: to help them, and you have to know they're there
- 34:18Speaker 3: for you and you're there for them no matter what
- 34:20Speaker 3: business you're in. It doesn't even really matter whether they
- 34:22Speaker 3: like it or not. It is what it is, you know.
- 34:24Speaker 2: I mean some.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Women, support is support and to have someone loving and
- 34:31Speaker 1: supported by your side is everything. You can flourish that.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Way, yeah, because it's really like it stucks, honestly to
- 34:39Speaker 3: be in a situation where you want to do something
- 34:42Speaker 3: and you don't have that support from the person that.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Is with you because there's no understanding. And that's what
- 34:50Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 34:50Speaker 3: It doesn't matter what it is, obviously, as long as
- 34:52Speaker 3: it's not something that's bad for you or you know,
- 34:55Speaker 3: or for your family, And like, why aren't you supporting them,
- 34:58Speaker 3: because like you're selfish about it, because are you competing
- 35:01Speaker 3: with them?
- 35:01Speaker 2: You like all these factors that you're set.
- 35:03Speaker 1: There's a lot of men that get insecure if you're
- 35:06Speaker 1: doing well, and they want to control you and control
- 35:09Speaker 1: your life so that you need them and you can't escape,
- 35:13Speaker 1: and then they put you in a box and in
- 35:15Speaker 1: a situation so they don't want you to flourish. And
- 35:18Speaker 1: it's a terrible situation when that happens. And I think
- 35:21Speaker 1: a lot of women end up having no career at
- 35:23Speaker 1: all because they're with somebody like that.
- 35:26Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of women actually sacrifice their careers because
- 35:30Speaker 3: they have a partner they won't support, you know, what
- 35:32Speaker 3: they're doing, and then maybe they make more money and
- 35:35Speaker 3: you know, they say, well, okay, well you need to
- 35:37Speaker 3: support me because I'm the one that supports the house.
- 35:39Speaker 3: So like, why are you even doing this? You know,
- 35:41Speaker 3: it gets complicated, my friend.
- 35:43Speaker 2: It's shopplications. Sure does well.
- 35:47Speaker 3: It seems like Matthew is supportive and lets Sarah Jessica
- 35:50Speaker 3: shine by doing her own thing, knowing how a iconic
- 35:53Speaker 3: Sex and the City is. That's another thing. I mean,
- 35:56Speaker 3: how can you not let your do wife do this
- 35:58Speaker 3: right when she's so good at it. There's no Sex
- 36:00Speaker 3: in the City without her. I mean, I know it's
- 36:03Speaker 3: it's a friend group, you know, kind of like ours
- 36:04Speaker 3: but scripted, but it's it's a real friend group.
- 36:08Speaker 2: But she's like, of course, she's like the hardest. She
- 36:11Speaker 2: said there started it. Yeah, you know.
- 36:14Speaker 3: And I love that he understands that, and that he
- 36:18Speaker 3: supports that, and and I love that he takes a
- 36:22Speaker 3: step back when it comes to seeing her and succeed.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Yeah, he's always been in the shadows. You never really
- 36:28Speaker 1: see him. Sure, that's his personality. He's a secure man.
- 36:32Speaker 3: And I love that he can take that step back
- 36:34Speaker 3: and just watch his wife shine and succeed.
- 36:37Speaker 1: We love you, Matt, like you. We can call it
- 36:42Speaker 1: he can be a boo bear because he.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Said he looks yeah right, he looks like you could
- 36:47Speaker 2: be like a personal be.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Well.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Thank you everyone so much for tuning in.
