- 0:00Hello, good morning and happy freaking Thursday to
- 0:05you.
- 0:07I wonder when, I wonder when the colored
- 0:10girls are going to go doo, doo, doo,
- 0:12doo, doo, doo, doo, doo.
- 0:14Is that going to happen at all?
- 0:16Does it even happen in life anymore?
- 0:19Oh, I tell you what, we might have
- 0:21to find Lou Reed and answer that question
- 0:24and others that just seem to bother us
- 0:27lately.
- 0:28When do the colored girls say doo, doo,
- 0:30doo, doo, doo?
- 0:31I don't know.
- 0:32And when do we get to tear up
- 0:34all of our swindle sheets and leave them
- 0:36sitting on the scales?
- 0:37I don't know that question either.
- 0:40I just, I have very serious questions this
- 0:43morning here on International Flavor where the men
- 0:48are men.
- 0:51I don't know, finish the rest of that
- 0:53however you'd like.
- 0:53In the army we'd say, and sheep are
- 0:55scared, but that's when we were talking about
- 0:57Oklahoma, Wyoming, or Texas, you know, and then
- 1:00Oklahoma, boy, I tell you what, sheep are
- 1:04scared there, is what I understand.
- 1:08Here we are at the Lake Ozark Real
- 1:10Estate of the Art Studio.
- 1:12It happens to be Thursday.
- 1:14I slept like a stone last night and
- 1:18because I was sitting in an airport the
- 1:20night before and that was probably a mistake,
- 1:24but I did it anyway.
- 1:25And I wonder if I'm still on the
- 1:26groggy side.
- 1:27I suppose it's possible.
- 1:29Some genius gave me the idea of filling
- 1:31my attic with moth balls.
- 1:37Come to find out that's poison, but don't
- 1:40do that.
- 1:42That is not good.
- 1:44My whole house smells like a geriatric ward
- 1:48of a, I don't know what, and you
- 1:51can't turn on the air conditioning because otherwise
- 1:54you're circulating.
- 1:55It's dangerous.
- 1:56Come to find out, well, you know, what
- 1:58good's a moth ball for?
- 2:00Well, I'll tell you what, there isn't any
- 2:02animal living in the attic anymore, but I
- 2:04guarantee you there are no humans that are
- 2:07able to live in the house either.
- 2:11It's a bad plan and come to find
- 2:13out it's poisonous.
- 2:14However, it absolutely works, you know, so don't
- 2:18let people tell you it doesn't work, but
- 2:20boy, don't be filling your house with moth
- 2:23balls either because, you know, when you think
- 2:26more is better, apparently that's not the case.
- 2:30At any rate, that's scientific advice from Sam
- 2:35this morning.
- 2:35No wonder I'm wondering if these colored girls
- 2:37will sing doo-doo-doo-doo later.
- 2:40We just don't know, but we're going to
- 2:42find out and I've got the feelers out
- 2:46trying to find the person who can answer
- 2:50that question, but then maybe we'll get it.
- 2:54If you feel like calling in, I'm on
- 2:56a roll already and I haven't even done
- 2:58anything yet here at Lake Ozark Real Estate
- 3:01of the Art Studio 5737468020.
- 3:06You can always listen live at demradio.com
- 3:10forward slash live should you enjoy music.
- 3:13It's really good stuff.
- 3:14There's always good music.
- 3:17Sometimes you even hear do-to-do-to
- 3:19-do do-to-do-to-do do-to
- 3:21-do-do and that does happen, but it's
- 3:25pretty rare.
- 3:26I must say that we get the do
- 3:28-to-do-to-do's around here.
- 3:31So I'm thinking we'll play some C.W.
- 3:36McCall too just because I can, and because
- 3:40I want to.
- 3:42But let's get to the important news of
- 3:45the day, which for many, for many people
- 3:49out there has to do with excitement like
- 3:54war and excitement like, oh gee, what's gonna
- 3:57happen next in Iran?
- 3:59Oh yeah, it's all very important.
- 4:01We just love to talk about it, but
- 4:05we have to do it while our phone
- 4:06is on silent because otherwise people will harass
- 4:12whilst we are on the air.
- 4:15So we're gonna get to, let us begin
- 4:18at the beginning.
- 4:19It's a very fine place to start.
- 4:22When you read, what do you begin with?
- 4:24You begin with A, B, C, and when
- 4:26you sing, you begin with do, re, mi.
- 4:31Of course, I'm a trap, and so I
- 4:33would know that, don't you think?
- 4:36Let's get to the translation.
- 4:39I was translating some stuff and enjoying every
- 4:45fine second of it whilst I was doing
- 4:50it.
- 4:50Where are we?
- 4:52There were some interesting conversations over the weekend.
- 4:56There were some passages that the old Putin
- 5:01spoke, had two speeches.
- 5:03He had a July 27 address to the
- 5:07deputies of the outgoing, the Eighth State Duma,
- 5:12and he delivered it in St. George's Hall
- 5:14at the Grand Kremlin Palace rather than on
- 5:17the floor of the Duma itself, and so
- 5:19the Kremlin published both versions, and I have
- 5:22the Russian version, and I listened to it,
- 5:24and there was a pretty good speech that
- 5:27he gave there that I wanna cover about,
- 5:30and he also spoke at the
- 5:40anniversary, the, what do they call it?
- 5:46Godavshina something or other, and I can't remember,
- 5:49of the Vienno-Morskoye Flot, VMF, the Navy,
- 5:55the Naval, the anniversary of the Navy.
- 5:59He spoke at that, too.
- 6:00Hey, look at this.
- 6:01Ike is on TV.
- 6:02I'm here watching an Ike Skelton conservative Republican
- 6:06commercial on TV even now, and he is
- 6:13all about the first county, and Ike looks
- 6:15pretty damn good on TV.
- 6:17When I grow up, I wanna be like
- 6:19Ike.
- 6:20That's what I think, and he's absolutely fought
- 6:22mass surveillance, definitely.
- 6:25You know I like Ike.
- 6:26I like Ike, and I hope you do,
- 6:29too.
- 6:29Anyway, that's my advertisement.
- 6:30I didn't even get paid for that.
- 6:32Where's my political contribution button?
- 6:34I want something, but I like Ike.
- 6:37Good for him.
- 6:38I like Ike.
- 6:38Anyway, I also wanna talk to you about
- 6:40a danger in Ukraine these days, the call
- 6:43center.
- 6:44I watched one of the most interesting videos
- 6:47that I've seen in a long time, and
- 6:48I don't know how this dude ended up
- 6:50on my feed, but I'm glad he did,
- 6:53and he was, well, you know what?
- 6:58Let's begin at the beginning because it's a
- 7:00very fine place to start, like I said
- 7:02before, and I started in Odessa, and I've
- 7:06never been to Odessa, and I wanna go
- 7:08to Odessa, and unless Russia takes over Odessa,
- 7:11I assume I'll be dead if I go
- 7:13to Ukraine.
- 7:14You know, I had my brother tell me
- 7:15I went to Utah, and my brother said
- 7:18something.
- 7:19We were talking with a rather important person
- 7:23on both of our radars and chatting with
- 7:26that person, and he said, well, this is
- 7:29my brother, Sam, and Sam is, you know,
- 7:34did he tell you he speaks Russian?
- 7:36You know, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, blah, blah,
- 7:38blah, and he goes, he doesn't.
- 7:41Let's see, he hates Ukraine.
- 7:46You know, he doesn't like, I never said
- 7:48that.
- 7:48I've never said that, and so I wanna
- 7:50make sure that if people are listening to
- 7:52me here, they understand that I don't have
- 7:54anything against Ukraine.
- 7:54I got something against what the US has
- 7:57done to Ukraine and what has happened to
- 8:00Ukraine since I served in the military, and
- 8:03it was pretty funny because he explained it
- 8:05in a way, and people didn't get this,
- 8:08and he said it had to do with,
- 8:11and he missed it, and so I wanna
- 8:13make sure I explain it, and we didn't
- 8:14have time to talk about it that day,
- 8:15so I wanna, I don't dislike Ukraine at
- 8:18all.
- 8:18I dislike Zelensky.
- 8:19I think the guy's the Green Goblin, and
- 8:21I think he is bought and paid for
- 8:24by a bunch of Western goons, and I'm
- 8:27against the deep state.
- 8:29I'm against the goons that use other people's
- 8:34bodies.
- 8:36Now, I'm also against the heavy-duty nationalists
- 8:39inside of Ukraine.
- 8:41I think the Nazis are very much alive
- 8:44and well over there, and there is a
- 8:48huge number of them, and that was part
- 8:50of the speech that I was given about
- 8:52this guy is an Odessa native, worked in
- 8:57the shipping industry.
- 8:58Odessa is the place to go if you're
- 9:00gonna work in the Black Sea of Sevastopol,
- 9:02I suppose.
- 9:03You could be on the other side of
- 9:04the Black Sea, or maybe the Bosphorus if
- 9:09you wish to go down to Istanbul.
- 9:11That area of the world is fantastically beautiful,
- 9:15and now I could be forestalled from going
- 9:21to Odessa, and I'm gonna try to get
- 9:25to Sevastopol at some point.
- 9:27I think that would be fantastic.
- 9:29This year, I have the Arctic Circle and
- 9:32St. Petersburg on my radar.
- 9:35All my trips to Russia, and I've never
- 9:37been to St. Petersburg, and so I'm going,
- 9:40and I wanna go at winter.
- 9:42I wanna go at Christmastime, and I'm gonna
- 9:44go over there and wander around for a
- 9:47bit and just see where it takes me.
- 9:50I love it over there.
- 9:51Yeah, well, I don't know if I love
- 9:52St. Petersburg.
- 9:53Everybody says they can't believe that I've missed
- 9:55that, well, not missed, but that I haven't
- 9:57done it yet with as many trips over
- 9:59there as I've taken, and so let's see.
- 10:04There was a Russian show I watched, and
- 10:07I also watched faithfully while I download some
- 10:13of these and watch them on the plane
- 10:14or whatever, and I watched the speech of
- 10:17Putin to the Vienna-Morskoye Flot, and I
- 10:19watched him in front of the Duma and
- 10:26his speech in front of the Duma, and
- 10:28when you watch him and you watch his
- 10:30mannerisms and you listen to how he speaks,
- 10:32he's a very good speaker, and he's a
- 10:36very, I suppose the word would be a
- 10:40genial, genial kind of guy.
- 10:41He's pretty, somebody you'd want to talk to,
- 10:46let's put it that way.
- 10:47You wouldn't feel like he's, I mean, certainly
- 10:52not Brezhnev, right?
- 10:53Certainly, maybe more a lot, he's an open
- 10:57sort of person, kind of like your Gorbachev.
- 11:01Yeltsin was just, he was open, but he
- 11:03was a drunk, and so him being open
- 11:08was a little bit different.
- 11:09That's like me slobbering at the bar, oh,
- 11:11look at that girl over there.
- 11:14Yeah, you're really a great dude then when
- 11:16you're a drunk dude.
- 11:17You're really open, right?
- 11:19Open to all kinds of weirdness, but these
- 11:23people were just open, and obviously, they'd be
- 11:25good conversationalists.
- 11:27What do you write a book called A
- 11:29Conversation with Vladimir Putin?
- 11:31And I feel the same way about Donald
- 11:33Trump.
- 11:33What an interesting person to sit and have
- 11:35a discussion with.
- 11:38Not so sure I'd feel the same way
- 11:39sitting in front of Brezhnev or Stalin.
- 11:43Those people were just, I'd feel like a
- 11:50bug sitting in front of those people, you
- 11:53know, like I'm just, you'd be on the
- 11:55defense all the time.
- 11:57Openness begets other openness, and so you would
- 11:59have an open conversation, and I think what
- 12:04the US has done and what the West
- 12:07has done during the time period of speaking
- 12:10to Russia since the collapse of the Soviet
- 12:14Union is a very negative, negative approach to
- 12:19the world, and diplomacy isn't where you go
- 12:23out and attack everybody and say, now, what
- 12:26was it Trump said?
- 12:28I'm gonna, effing, I'm gonna bomb the effing
- 12:33S out of you.
- 12:38Yeah, that's real presidential.
- 12:40Thanks a lot.
- 12:41You know, I don't appreciate that.
- 12:44You know, do what I say or I'm
- 12:46gonna bomb you.
- 12:47Okay, Mom, clean your room or you're gonna
- 12:51get it.
- 12:51You know, you're gonna, okay, Mom, when's Dad
- 12:55coming home?
- 12:56I'll just finish it before then.
- 12:57But at my house, it was the opposite.
- 12:59My mom was the evil tyrant antichrist of
- 13:04the 12 children running around the house, and
- 13:07I maybe don't blame her so much anymore,
- 13:10but, boy, she was the, you know, evil
- 13:16tyrant, and Dad was always the nice dude.
- 13:18He'd come home and he got to play
- 13:19good dad, you know, because he was gone
- 13:23all the time trying to make money, and
- 13:25so I hear that changed with my younger
- 13:29siblings who didn't get the joy of the
- 13:31same family that I did, and that much
- 13:34is very clear in how they were raised
- 13:36because they are different, and tell you what,
- 13:41they have no idea who their older siblings
- 13:45are, and that is depressing, and I blame
- 13:48our parents, and I blame ourselves for not
- 13:50doing something to combat that because they sure
- 13:56as hell don't know or even remotely appreciate
- 13:59their older siblings and what they could offer
- 14:01to them.
- 14:01They grew up in a different family completely,
- 14:09and it's pretty funny because, well, I won't
- 14:14get into that, but I could lecture on
- 14:15this topic now having lived it and watching
- 14:18the difference of the babies of the family
- 14:22who really were, their take on the world
- 14:28and on everything is so different.
- 14:30They are not, they just are not the
- 14:34open types like you would talk to.
- 14:36They are the Brezhnev that, you know, you
- 14:39feel like a bug when you're talking to
- 14:41them.
- 14:42They just, you know, they believe in one
- 14:46thing and one thing only, and that's power,
- 14:49and that they are not open to people,
- 14:53and so it's pretty funny to have that
- 14:55vast of a difference in siblings in a
- 14:58family, and you gotta understand that people are
- 15:00not the same, and just because they came
- 15:04from the same sources of our wonderful parents,
- 15:08even if mom was the evil dictator type.
- 15:17That's the evil dictator type.
- 15:19You do what I say, not as I
- 15:21do, and boy, that's for sure because she
- 15:24would do whatever she felt like.
- 15:26Anyway, interesting world we live in.
- 15:28I watched a video, and I watched this
- 15:32video from St. Petersburg, I mean, I'm sorry,
- 15:35from Odessa in there, and I wish I
- 15:38could transcribe it for you, and I watched
- 15:41these two videos from Putin, one at the
- 15:44Russian Duma and one at the anniversary of
- 15:50the Navy that he was commemorating, and on
- 15:54the July 27 one that he gave at
- 15:57St. George's Hall was pretty, pretty interesting.
- 16:05He described the preceding five years, four and
- 16:09a half of which have been during war,
- 16:10as exceptionally difficult and decisive period in Russian
- 16:15history, and I agree.
- 16:17In the country's future, in the shape of
- 16:20a new world order are being determined through
- 16:25struggle and intense competition.
- 16:27That's how he started his speech.
- 16:29He then strengthened the deputies.
- 16:31Remember, he's got election coming up, and the
- 16:34election's coming up in September, and it'll be
- 16:37somewhat of a referendum on him and what
- 16:41he's saying personally, and if you're judging by
- 16:44what happened in the hall of the Duma,
- 16:47this is gonna be a bellwether year for
- 16:53Vladimir Vladimirovich, and I could be wrong, but
- 16:58I'm watching these election things across the planet.
- 17:03I'm interested in what happens here, very much
- 17:06so.
- 17:07Around a little bit earlier, a couple of
- 17:10months, we'll be watching the same thing in
- 17:14Russia, and basically, this is his last chance
- 17:18to talk to everybody, not really, but on
- 17:21a grand level, on a world stage before
- 17:23these elections come up, and so he talked
- 17:27about the previous five years.
- 17:29He thanked the deputies for doing the things
- 17:32that they had worked upon together to strengthen
- 17:36and support Russian sovereignty, the military, the special
- 17:40military operation, and assisting soldiers and their families,
- 17:44helping the defense industry grow and passing economic
- 17:48and social legislation.
- 17:49Now, Solovyov on Sundays always bitches about that
- 17:52as do a couple of the economists that
- 17:54are on there, and they bitch about the
- 17:56country's not doing enough, and remember, here in
- 18:02America, we are used to the government manipulating
- 18:06the market through regulation, taxation, dictate, you know,
- 18:12we're used to that, but they always call
- 18:16it a free market economy, and when you
- 18:19look at an economic model in the way
- 18:22that we are trained about it in America,
- 18:27here, they talk about the free market, and
- 18:30our market is nowhere near free.
- 18:34We talk about the economic models of supply
- 18:37and demand and all that, and we talk
- 18:39about Milton Friedman and who examined all of
- 18:43these relationships, and you talk about economics and
- 18:49economies, like the U.S. economy, as if
- 18:53the U.S. economy was straight capitalist market,
- 18:57and it is not, not remotely.
- 19:00It is heavily regulated, heavily taxed, and just
- 19:05as manipulated as it is anywhere else on
- 19:09the planet, only here, we manipulate everything for
- 19:15the entire world.
- 19:16If we wanna adjust oil prices, well, we
- 19:19take over Venezuela.
- 19:21If you wanna adjust, you know, make sure
- 19:24the world is gonna be forced to accept
- 19:26U.S. dominance of the energy markets, you
- 19:30bomb the shit, what do you call it?
- 19:32You bomb the effing shit out of Iran.
- 19:36You bomb them back to the Stone Age,
- 19:38and you destroy any market ability.
- 19:42You're manipulating a supposedly free market, and that's
- 19:49what's going on.
- 19:50Everything has to do with resources, and so
- 19:53Putin, the funny, the different part is, in
- 19:56Russia, that is a, that part is a
- 20:01given, and when people like Solovyov and the
- 20:05economist that he has on his shows, and
- 20:07there's several of them, when they get on
- 20:09and they argue about it, they, and if
- 20:12you listen to Mikhail Khazin, who's a very
- 20:15noted economist, and he has his own YouTube
- 20:17channel, and I watch him all the time,
- 20:19and I think he's a damn genius, you
- 20:22know, and you watch some of his, at
- 20:25least on the point of view of going
- 20:28through the manipulation of markets, and how market
- 20:32economies work, and the part that the government
- 20:35plays in manipulating the economy, it's a very,
- 20:41very interesting to listen to the different schools
- 20:44of thought, because Western school of thought is,
- 20:47the market is free, and nobody can, the
- 20:50market is not free, not remotely, and it
- 20:54hasn't been for hundreds of years, it's certainly
- 20:57not in America, it is manipulated, and it's
- 21:01manipulated by the people who go up and
- 21:03get to control that market, many of whom
- 21:05are not elected, okay, or through the Donald
- 21:08Trumps and the wars, and which is, this
- 21:11is absolutely market approach, he's trying to dominate
- 21:14energy for the next 100 years, and so
- 21:18that people will be forced to, this is
- 21:20how he combats BRICS, you know, and combats
- 21:23the global south, if he can control it,
- 21:25he don't give a crap what they do,
- 21:27because he will control all the toys, right,
- 21:30and so this is the battle of the
- 21:33future that people are talking about, right, well,
- 21:37that anybody who knows what the hell is
- 21:39going on, and doesn't have their thumb inserted
- 21:41in places where it shouldn't be inserted, and
- 21:43just sitting on it, and rotating on their
- 21:46own thumb, well, the rest of us understand
- 21:49what the hell is going on in the
- 21:50planet, and Putin absolutely understands it, and he
- 21:55speaks about it, and he talks about the
- 21:58strengthening of what they're doing in passing economic
- 22:00and social legislation for Russians, they are depending
- 22:06on their government, just like we're dependent on
- 22:08ours to do something for their future, and
- 22:11they manipulate, they straight up manipulate it, there,
- 22:15the government industry, the government does control many
- 22:19of the means of production of the bigger
- 22:22industries, they have a huge influence, I saw
- 22:25a report once said that Donald Trump, Donald
- 22:28Trump, Vladimir Putin's the richest man in the
- 22:30world, because of resources, and because of all
- 22:33those things, and his fingers, and so many
- 22:35pies, and that may be the case, depending
- 22:39on how you did, but he said Stalin
- 22:40was the richest guy in the world, for
- 22:42sure, and at any rate, Putin continued by
- 22:47defending the incorporation into Russia of Donetsk, Lugansk,
- 22:51Paris, and Kherson, as reflecting the population's right
- 22:54to self-determination, he accused Western governments of
- 22:57selectively invoking the UN Charter, absolutely true, treating
- 23:01other countries as subordinates, also true, and imposing
- 23:05sanctions intended to fracture Russian society and destroy
- 23:10its economy, so these global, and another set
- 23:13of sanctions, the European Union is no longer
- 23:17talking about the 21st package of sanctions, what
- 23:21they've done is they've released a list of
- 23:22500 specific companies that they are going to
- 23:26attack, they're attacking these companies, and they're companies
- 23:31that do business with Russia, and they've changed
- 23:35focus, just like the Ukrainians have changed focus
- 23:38to bombing individuals, and civilians, and civil businesses
- 23:45inside of Russia, they're trying to, it's all
- 23:50the same, the same global battle for resources
- 23:54that we're talking about, and sanctions was a
- 23:59big part of his discussion, he argued that
- 24:01sanctions had proved ineffective, for the most part
- 24:04they have, and it damaged their own initiators,
- 24:07like Europe and the United States, that's also
- 24:09true, us to a little bit lesser extent,
- 24:12but certainly Europe is themselves reeling from sanctions
- 24:18on Russia, Putin said that Russia would continue
- 24:21financing their own defense while protecting social commitments
- 24:26to families, healthcare, education, culture, small business, and
- 24:30employment, he called for respectful parliamentary elections, and
- 24:34continued political consolidation, in his closing remarks he
- 24:37said that Russia remained fourth globally in purchase
- 24:41power parity, and first in Europe, the largest
- 24:43economy in Europe, he argued that the principal
- 24:46achievement is the stability of Russia's financial system,
- 24:50and that is getting more and more stable,
- 24:53because of India, China, and Russia, and in
- 24:57some extent Iran, and in that area, this
- 25:00battle, this global domination battle, and us getting
- 25:06embroiled into it, don't forget what it's about,
- 25:09it's about destroying BRICS, and the global south's
- 25:15effort to, well not necessarily BRICS, but the
- 25:19things that BRICS represents, and when they talked
- 25:25about faster, and future military action, he recounted
- 25:31being told by a general, what he said
- 25:35was that one of the leaders said, we
- 25:37are winning, and we will win, but we
- 25:41must be bolder, and the cheers that went
- 25:45up when he said that, he said we
- 25:46have to be more bold, and when he
- 25:48said it, it was clear that they agree
- 25:50with him, they want escalation in the Duma,
- 25:54they wanna escalate, they wanna do more, and
- 25:58they've been trying to, everybody says that Russia
- 26:02has changed their approach too, and they have,
- 26:04they're doing the same thing to Ukraine, that
- 26:06Ukraine was doing to it, and it's pretty
- 26:08funny, because I think YouTube is opening up
- 26:10about it too, there are more opinions out
- 26:13there, they're listening to more sides, and there
- 26:16are more and more people saying it, you'll
- 26:17see things on your feed that you'd have
- 26:19never seen, even six months to a year
- 26:21ago, and he said that the great speed
- 26:27will produce additional Russian battlefield losses, and that
- 26:32they've been trying to keep them, and on
- 26:35the Ukrainian side, people are dying for this,
- 26:38they've been trying to keep those low, and
- 26:40he said Russia will proceed carefully, persistently, and
- 26:43consistently, and it will achieve its objectives, and
- 26:49if you wanna read the entire transcript, by
- 26:52the way, the Kremlin does put out, every
- 26:54time he gives a major speech, you can
- 26:56go out and read an English translation of
- 26:59the entire speech on the Kremlin's website, and
- 27:02this one, I was able to download the
- 27:06source, I don't think it was as accurate,
- 27:09I wouldn't have translated some of the things
- 27:12he said in the way that they did,
- 27:14but okay, so remember, we all politicize, and
- 27:20don't think that just because Voice of America
- 27:23said it, that it's an accurate translation, you
- 27:26know what I mean?
- 27:26Okay, so there were remarks by Volodin, who's
- 27:34another guy in the parliamentary faction, leaders were
- 27:37able to speak to, and they do talk
- 27:40about plenty of other things, and then he
- 27:44talked about, there are two consecutive appearances, like
- 27:48I was talking about, Navy Day, the meeting
- 27:50which was on July 26, and then the
- 27:52State Duma meeting on July 27, and he
- 27:56said, he was talking about risk, and the
- 28:00assessment of risk, and how you put risk
- 28:02into thing, and he said probably, he said
- 28:08in both places, that they needed to act
- 28:10more boldly, or accelerate military operations, and remember,
- 28:16they're headed for an election, and so he
- 28:17has to show some progress too, and not
- 28:21his election, he was elected last year, but
- 28:24he has to go through, and make sure
- 28:27that his coalition is highly successful, and of
- 28:32the, I think they hold about, what was
- 28:36the number, 65%, 70% of the Duma,
- 28:40is his, maybe not that big, and he
- 28:44doesn't wanna lose that, and what he said,
- 28:49one would like to be bolder, but then
- 28:52the question arises, how bold do you wanna
- 28:56become, how far do you wanna go, you
- 28:59want me to go faster, you want me
- 29:01to go further, but what do you mean
- 29:03by that, and what they were talking about,
- 29:04and what on the West they say here,
- 29:07is that he has said, there's going to
- 29:08be a mobilization, and he said it, Dmitry
- 29:12Medvedev said it, and Dmitry Medvedev was blunt
- 29:14about it, he goes, we don't need a
- 29:16mobilization, and if they're lying, I don't, first
- 29:21of all, I don't believe they're lying, either
- 29:23one of them, I think it's accurate, they
- 29:24say that in the first half of 2026,
- 29:28200,000 people have signed up voluntarily, with
- 29:33big bonuses, they still have the signs in
- 29:35Russia, and it's been almost a year, the
- 29:38last time I was in Russia, was September
- 29:40of 2025, and I'm not slated to go
- 29:44again until January, well December of this year,
- 29:48and one of the interesting things, that I
- 29:50want to see, is if those signs are
- 29:51still up, and I'll bet you they are,
- 29:54where they're offering eight million rubles, which is
- 29:58easily enough, to buy a very nice apartment,
- 30:01in many many places inside of Russia, and
- 30:06it's probably 130, depends on the conversion rate,
- 30:12but it's been fairly stable, $130,000 something
- 30:16like that, but remember purchase power parity, you
- 30:19get more for your money, absolutely in the
- 30:22rest of the world, than we get for
- 30:23ours in the United States, and when you
- 30:26examine purchase power parity, China is the biggest
- 30:29economy in the world, followed by the US,
- 30:32followed by India, followed by Russia, and so
- 30:35three out of the four are, if you
- 30:38go on purchase power parity, they do control
- 30:41the planet, in an economic way, and because
- 30:44they can buy more for their money, the
- 30:47reality is, if you go to Russia, and
- 30:50you have $2,000, $3,000 a month
- 30:54to live on, you're a wealthy man, and
- 30:58in America you can't live on that, people
- 31:01do, but you can't live on that, the
- 31:06people living on their only social security, they
- 31:11better have paid for everything, as they were
- 31:13aging, because you can't live on that, and
- 31:16you can't live on social security, Ike, if
- 31:21you're gonna get in there, and Ike's gonna
- 31:23be, judging from his TV commercial, that was
- 31:26very well done, and that's awesome, so I'm
- 31:30very glad for Ike, and hope it pans
- 31:33out for him, he was on last Friday,
- 31:34if you wanna hear my interview with him,
- 31:36you can go to civicoutlaws.com, and listen
- 31:39to my Ike interview, and he did not
- 31:45do what Fauci did, and plead the fifth,
- 31:47Fauci isn't talking, Fauci's not talking, my lawyer
- 31:51told me not to talk, just let me
- 31:53die, when I get older, stop bothering me,
- 31:56yeah, I'll be interested to see how that
- 31:59comes out, but according to Ria Novosti, account
- 32:02of the audience applauded, at the point where
- 32:05he was, and Putin said this, after being
- 32:09bouldered, do you want escalation, basically, he said
- 32:12listen, in war, just as in the economy,
- 32:15there are risks, and the price of those
- 32:17risks, is losses on the battlefield, therefore, here
- 32:22too, we will act carefully, but persistently, and
- 32:25consistently, achieving the objectives set, before the country,
- 32:30and we will achieve them, and that, after
- 32:33that applause, that was, we're gonna, in the
- 32:39English, translation from the Kremlin, now that's my
- 32:43translation, okay, what the Kremlin one is a
- 32:46little more woody, if you watch Monty Python,
- 32:50they talk about words being woody, or tinny,
- 32:55tin tin tin, oh that's a tinny sort
- 32:57of word, but caribou, caribou, that's a woody
- 33:01sort of word, and very nice, you like
- 33:03to speak of those words, well, if you
- 33:05want the tinny version, you can read the
- 33:06Kremlin's version, but if you want the nice
- 33:08woody version, you'll have to listen to what
- 33:10I translated there, because it sounds a little
- 33:12more flowing, and poetic, right, let's see, Putin
- 33:21was answering the Russian patriotic criticisms, that the
- 33:24operation has been a little too slow, and
- 33:27cautious, he said that it's not the faster
- 33:29action, that's impossible, he says it's not impossible,
- 33:33it's the faster territorial movement, will require more
- 33:36concentrated assault, greater exposure of Russian troops, less
- 33:40time for recon and preparation, and consequently, higher
- 33:43Russian casualties, if you've watched this war like
- 33:45I have, over the last four years, you'll
- 33:49see they're always talking about, on the Russian
- 33:51side, creating a cauldron, a brewing kettle, and
- 33:57they put the lid on that, when they
- 34:00close it at the end, and it's a
- 34:02surround and conquer, and they surround entire cities,
- 34:06they've done it, remember us talking about it
- 34:08in Pokrovsk, and Mir Nagrad, and Bakhmut, and
- 34:12everywhere that you go, they're doing it again,
- 34:17and everywhere they go, it's a slow methodical,
- 34:22the thing when I was talking about the
- 34:24other day, with them getting rid of Serskiy,
- 34:28Serskiy thought this way, but Serskiy would prefer
- 34:32to leave the guys, in the cauldron, and
- 34:34not withdraw them, and they had 10,000
- 34:36surrounded, in Pokrovsk and Mir Nagrad, 10,000
- 34:41soldiers surrounded, and ultimately abandoned, by Serskiy and
- 34:48company, and people don't like that, but what's
- 34:51your option?
- 34:52Retreat, they're fighting to the last, and that
- 34:56is what, and the Russians are methodically, and
- 35:01slowly, and Serskiy is fighting to the last
- 35:03man, and this Trapati, whether he's gonna do
- 35:06that or not, remains to be seen, well
- 35:08they've changed their tactic, and they're tired of
- 35:11losing all their men, and they don't have
- 35:13any men left to lose anyway, they're having
- 35:16to send them back from Europe, and so
- 35:18they have switched to drone warfare, and everybody
- 35:21thinks that that means they're winning, they're now
- 35:23winning, and they're winning even remotely, and now
- 35:28they're probably gonna lose Odessa, because of it,
- 35:32and how long have I been saying that?
- 35:34They're gonna be cut off from the Black
- 35:36Sea, and be landlocked, many people are saying
- 35:38it's already a done deal, and listening to
- 35:41the other interesting audio, that I listened to
- 35:45from this person, that was brand new, and
- 35:48he won't give his name, he's against it,
- 35:51and he doesn't live there anymore, but he
- 35:53was a fifth generation resident of Odessa, that
- 35:58was his home, and he said, and over
- 36:01the years he outlined how it changed, I'll
- 36:04get to that in a little bit though,
- 36:05because I wanna talk about the far more
- 36:07consequential, Navy Day remarks that Putin gave, and
- 36:12they were far more consequential, and he was
- 36:15talking to the military commanders, and the Navy
- 36:17commanders, and the Black Sea commanders, everybody was,
- 36:21this is the Navy, and he was talking
- 36:23about the military action itself, and in front
- 36:29of the Duma, he was talking to politicians,
- 36:31and he said we're gonna do what we're
- 36:34gonna do, but we wanna take care of
- 36:36the people, and we wanna get there, but
- 36:37his tone changed talking to the military, and
- 36:41he gave an extensive answer, in the Navy
- 36:45Day remarks, in his meeting with Navy personnel
- 36:48in St. Petersburg, where I'm gonna go, a
- 36:52Russian Marine asked a question, about how Ukrainian
- 36:55soldiers can behave so brutally, when Russians and
- 36:59Ukrainians once shared textbooks, films, heroes, and a
- 37:03common historical culture, and Putin who loves talking
- 37:08history and culture anyway, he gave a pretty
- 37:11long answer, he said Russia had not initiated
- 37:15this war, but responded to a war launched
- 37:18by Kiev, with Western support against Southeastern Ukraine,
- 37:24because of their Russian heritage, he returned to
- 37:28the historical division, between the left bank and
- 37:31right bank Ukraine, which is divided by what?
- 37:36The Dnepropetrovsk River, which I've been talking about
- 37:39for four or five years, that east of
- 37:41that river, it's 90% Russian, Russian, Russian,
- 37:46and west of it, it's Hungarians, Romanians, and
- 37:50Polish, and in between was a small sliver
- 37:54of Ukraine, but that Stalin gave them and
- 37:58Khrushchev expanded Ukraine, and gave them some of
- 38:02it as kind of a reward, from the
- 38:04Soviet Union, but Ukraine didn't really have their
- 38:09own, for as long history, they had separatists
- 38:15from Russia, and people that had intermarried with
- 38:19Hungarians, Romanians, Moldovans, Polish, Lithuanians, from the Lithuanian
- 38:26Empire, when it was Polish Lithuania, and so
- 38:30that's a blend over there, but east of
- 38:33the Dnepropetrovsk, it's all Russia, it always has
- 38:38been, and so he was talking about this,
- 38:41and saying it's not culturally closer, saying left
- 38:45bank Ukraine is not culturally close to Russia,
- 38:50but it actually been a part of Russia,
- 38:53the left bank Ukrainian parts, they were part
- 38:56of Russia, Russian, Kievskaya, Rus', which moved back
- 39:01during the imperial years, from Kiev to Moscow,
- 39:06and he specifically discussed the Donbass, and Lenin's
- 39:11decision to place it, within the newly constructed
- 39:14Ukrainian Soviet Republic, he concluded that it is
- 39:21now up to you, Russian Navy, and to
- 39:25us to get back on the normal course
- 39:28of history, like we're gonna, basically we're gonna,
- 39:32if there's a threat anywhere, this was it,
- 39:36we're going back to Russia, hell, we might
- 39:39go all the way to Kiev, I imagine
- 39:42this would get people thinking, that got me
- 39:45thinking it, well, Odessa, this makes it clear,
- 39:50they're bombing the snot out of Odessa, right
- 39:52now, because that's what the Ukrainians, and now
- 39:55the Ukrainians are asking for, well, Zelensky is
- 39:59anyway, are asking for, okay, let's not break
- 40:04airspace anymore, we'll stop bombing you, if you
- 40:06stop bombing us, and Russell's going, screw you,
- 40:08our bombs are bigger, it's like the judge
- 40:10when I was in Utah, when I was
- 40:12back there in May, a couple of idiot
- 40:15family members, were being stupid in the courtroom,
- 40:18and the judge said, listen, I see you
- 40:24throwing arrows at each other, with your eyes,
- 40:28he said, I don't like that, don't do
- 40:31that in my courtroom, and he said, if
- 40:33you're gonna be throwing arrows, I have a
- 40:35few arrows, I'm gonna throw, my arrows are
- 40:39bigger, and I will win, and I was
- 40:42like, that's probably one of the best quotes,
- 40:44I've ever heard from a judge, my arrows
- 40:46are bigger, and I will win, in other
- 40:49words, you guys are morons, and knock it
- 40:53off, and don't piss me off, or I'll
- 40:56destroy the lot of you, that was good,
- 41:01and that's kind of what Putin is doing,
- 41:03did Putin finally call the Ukrainians the enemy?
- 41:06I don't think so, kinda, because he's never
- 41:11called them the enemy, the Ukrainians are not
- 41:13the enemy, and a lot of people, and
- 41:15in the military circles, they speak protivniks, cause
- 41:18all the enemy did this, the enemy did
- 41:21that, they don't even speak to them, and
- 41:23apparently it helps you, in adjusting to the
- 41:27fact, that you can only look at them,
- 41:32as not human, you know, they called the
- 41:36Ukrainians, all called the Russian orcs, for a
- 41:38while, they've quit doing that, because nobody in
- 41:40the West liked it, and they didn't like
- 41:43the brutal nature, of what they were doing,
- 41:46you know, well the Ukrainians, they are brutal,
- 41:51and they talk about it, and they video
- 41:53it, and you know, all the videoing of
- 41:55them torturing, and peeing on Russian soldiers, that
- 41:59they captured, and you know, beating them on
- 42:03the camera, and torturing them on camera, those
- 42:06things, they still exist, but they're in much
- 42:11smaller circles, they were putting them all over
- 42:13telegram, the Ukrainians in the early days, and
- 42:16if you wanna get people against you, try
- 42:20that dummies, you know, and that's what they
- 42:22did, and they did it a lot, and
- 42:25they showed them peeing on them, or trying
- 42:27to get them to, you know, if you
- 42:28don't, they're horrific video, and plenty of it,
- 42:33the, so no, my brother, I am not
- 42:39anti-Ukraine, I'm anti-Nazi, that I'm against,
- 42:44and I'm anti-nationalist SS, you know, I'm
- 42:48against that, and I don't think, and they
- 42:51say, remember the guy from last week, don't
- 42:54lecture a Ukrainian, we're not listening to your
- 42:57ultimatums, we do what we want, so screw
- 43:01off, you don't get to tell us to
- 43:03behave, you don't get to say, we're Ukrainians,
- 43:07basically, so, let's see, Putin said that the
- 43:12key of government rests upon extreme nationalism, and
- 43:16neo-Nazi ideology, frankly, I think he's right,
- 43:20he described how the ideology was preserved, in
- 43:24anti-Soviet organizations, and later returned to Ukraine,
- 43:27he said the regime soldiers, adopted a worldview,
- 43:32in which Russian-oriented civilians, are killed without
- 43:37a second thought, without remorse, against the Geneva
- 43:40Convention, and later, a different serviceman promised, he
- 43:45said, well, Vladimir Vladimirovich, we will rout the
- 43:48enemy, and we will win, and Putin said,
- 43:51that's how it will be, there is no
- 43:54question about it, and I have no doubt
- 43:56whatsoever, that that's what's gonna be, so the
- 44:00rhetoric hardening, is absolutely real, the Ukrainian military,
- 44:05and the Kiev political order, are unmistakably now,
- 44:09on the political level, being described as the
- 44:12enemy, and the change, in tactics, is also,
- 44:21very well noted, but Putin still preserves an
- 44:24important distinction, he says Ukrainian civilians, they are
- 44:29victims, Russian civilians, to the Ukrainians, are still
- 44:32part of the army, there are still people
- 44:35you can kill, and not think twice about
- 44:37it, it's war, they need to go, but
- 44:39Russians are not permitted, to think that way
- 44:43about Ukrainians, and Ukrainian civilians, and is what
- 44:46Putin says, and he said the southeastern population
- 44:50of Russia, is treated as a historically Russian
- 44:52-oriented location, it is, and I'm gonna share
- 44:55that audio, I wish I could, I wish
- 44:59I had a full translation, it was kind
- 45:01of interesting, ordinary Ukrainians, are separated from the
- 45:05nationalists, governing ideology, and the enemy, is the
- 45:09regime, it's military forces, and the ideology that
- 45:13sustains them, but he has not yet said
- 45:16anything, about all Ukrainians, ethnically and nationally being
- 45:20enemies, he continues to leave the concept, open,
- 45:26that Ukrainians that reject this Nazism, and belong
- 45:30within a wider Russian, or especially Slavic, historical
- 45:34community, like, Romanians, Hungarians, the Polish, Lithuanians, you
- 45:42know all the Slavic sort of things, Polish
- 45:44maybe more, a little more on the European
- 45:46side, and Lithuanians too, but he talked about
- 45:50them too, and what he said was, get
- 45:55this, he said that sooner or later, and
- 45:59he said two years, five years, 10 years,
- 46:0315 years, I don't know when it will
- 46:05be, but there will be no Ukraine, he
- 46:09said, sooner or later, Ukraine is also gonna
- 46:12lose those Western lands, what belonged to Poland,
- 46:16will be taken back by Poland, what belonged
- 46:19to Hungary and Romania, will sooner or later,
- 46:22not tomorrow, but in a year or two,
- 46:25in 10 or 15 years, will be put
- 46:27back in its historical place, and he said,
- 46:31Russia was the only guarantor, of Ukraine's territorial
- 46:35integrity, Russia was the guarantor, not the West,
- 46:40not France, you know, not the UN, and
- 46:44those are Putin's words, from the July 26th
- 46:48Navy Day meeting, and his underlying argument, unmistakable,
- 46:52the Soviet Union assembled modern Ukraine, from territories
- 46:58historically connected, to Russia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Russia
- 47:03accepted and protected, that territorial arrangement, while Ukraine
- 47:06remained friendly, or at least non hostile, but
- 47:10by declaring Russia as the enemy, Kiev destroyed
- 47:13the power, that had guaranteed those borders, and
- 47:17Ukraine's Western neighbors, Poland's talked about it, Hungary
- 47:20has talked about it, I think, well Romania,
- 47:23I'm not so sure, that they've been vocal
- 47:25about it, but certainly Hungary, and absolutely Poland,
- 47:30once their Western was Polish, they want it
- 47:33back, and they eventually reclaimed that territory, that
- 47:37they historically regard as theirs, that's not part
- 47:41of Ukraine, just like Eastern part, was not
- 47:43part of Ukraine either, there was no Ukraine,
- 47:46and I've said that since the beginning of
- 47:49this too, there has never been a Ukraine,
- 47:52never, and it was just the edges of
- 47:57Russia, that's what it was, and Putin didn't
- 48:01say this has happened, during the present war,
- 48:04he allowed a horizon, you know, but he
- 48:06says it's gonna happen, so it's not a
- 48:08military announcement, it's more of a forecast, and
- 48:10a warning, did he say that Ukraine would
- 48:14lose the Black Sea, he didn't say that,
- 48:17but he did, and he didn't directly say,
- 48:19Ukraine's not gonna exist any longer, or be
- 48:22cut off from the Black Sea, or that
- 48:24Russia had formally decided, to take the regions
- 48:28of Odessa and Nikolaev, but tell you what,
- 48:32it's looking that way to me, so that's
- 48:36how some people are interpreting them, so the
- 48:38larger conclusion, is that this war isn't gonna
- 48:43be over any time soon, I wanted to
- 48:49speak about this guy, who calls himself Kolobok
- 48:54Tavricheski, and he presents himself as a native
- 48:58Odessan, a port welder, who worked there on
- 49:02the ports for 10 years, but now lives
- 49:04abroad, can't live there anymore, somebody still connected
- 49:08to port workers and residents, like many friends
- 49:10and family still there, an organizer of small
- 49:13charitable effort, helping pensioners and draft evaders, and
- 49:17he's an opponent of the post-Maidan Ukrainian
- 49:20order, and we're gonna get to that, but
- 49:23before we do, I wanted to provide for
- 49:29you, a little bit of a break, and
- 49:43that break is gonna go back to where
- 49:46we started before, and see if we can
- 49:51find a wonderful interlude, where the colored
- 50:01girls go, do, do, do, do, do, do,
- 50:03do, do, do, do, do, that's possible, and
- 50:06I believe I have found it.
- 50:28Holly came from Miami, FLA, hitchhiked away across
- 50:35USA, plucked her eyebrows on the way, shaved
- 50:40her legs and then he was a she,
- 50:42she says, hey babe, take a walk on
- 50:45the wild side, take a walk on the
- 50:46wild side, Said, hey, honey, take a walk
- 50:49on the wild side Candy came
- 51:02from out on the island In the back
- 51:07room she was everybody's darling But she never
- 51:11lost her head Even when she was giving
- 51:14head She says, hey, babe, take a walk
- 51:17on the wild side Said, hey, babe, take
- 51:21a walk on the wild side And the
- 51:24colored girls go doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 51:26-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 51:27-doo
- 51:38Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 51:41-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 51:44-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 51:53-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 51:59-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 52:00-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 52:00-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 52:00-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 52:05-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 52:07-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 52:07-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 52:07-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 52:07-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 52:07-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 52:10I said, hey, Joe, take a walk on
- 52:12the wild side Sugar
- 52:24Pump Fairy came and hit the streets Looking
- 52:29for soul food and a place to eat
- 52:33Went to the Apollo, you should've seen him
- 52:36go, go, go They said, hey, Sugar, take
- 52:39a walk on the wild side I said,
- 52:43hey, babe, take a walk on the wild
- 52:45side Alright Ha!
- 52:56Jackie is just speeding away Thought she was
- 53:01James Dean for a day Then I guess
- 53:06she had to crash Valium would've helped that
- 53:09patch They said, hey, babe, take a walk
- 53:11on the wild side I said, hey, honey,
- 53:15take a walk on the wild side And
- 53:17the colored girls say Doo-doo-doo-doo
- 53:20-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 53:23-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 53:27-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo Doo
- 53:43-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 53:45-doo-doo-doo-doo Sometimes
- 54:16I go out looking for soul food and
- 54:19a place to eat Yeah, a hustle here
- 54:23and a hustle there New York City is
- 54:26the place where they say Hey, bub, take
- 54:30a walk on the wild side Alright And
- 54:35I wanna sing doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 54:36-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
- 54:38-doo-doo And that is why I played
- 54:40that song for you And it's not only
- 54:43the colored girls that are allowed to do
- 54:45it anymore It's anyone who wants to So
- 54:49I'm gonna do one more song for you
- 54:51just because I can and because I want
- 54:53to Why can you do this?
- 54:56Well, because I can and because I want
- 54:58to And I was thinking of Peter Gabriel
- 55:03And do you know that I was of
- 55:07the mistaken impression That old Mr. Peter Gabriel
- 55:12had passed on That he had shuffled off
- 55:17this molten coil And joined the bleeding choir
- 55:23Invisible That he was an ex An ex
- 55:28Peter Gabriel And guess what?
- 55:31He is not He is very much alive
- 55:35And in fact he is still active He
- 55:36is 76 and is releasing new material I
- 55:40gotta go find him As part of his
- 55:42album project O.I. with songs arriving on
- 55:47the full moon And what do I want
- 55:50to listen to?
- 55:51Just because I like it Is probably my
- 55:54favorite And we're gonna delve into it Before
- 55:59we get to To this guy in Odessa
- 56:06I wish I could translate it for you
- 56:08I'd love to give it to you I
- 56:10have a small part of it But before
- 56:14we get to that We're gonna get to
- 56:17the In my humble opinion The best song
- 56:24By Peter Gabriel In my opinion Now you
- 56:29could argue about it Whether it was the
- 56:31guy who What it should be And see
- 56:37if you remember channeling the guy from His
- 56:42sister was also an actress.
- 56:44What is his name?
- 56:45It'll come to me, but see if you
- 56:47can ponder what's going on here with what
- 56:51I say is the best Peter Gabriel song,
- 56:53Salisbury Hill.
- 56:57Salisbury
- 57:23Hill Climbing up on Salisbury Hill I could
- 57:30see the city light Wind was blowing, time
- 57:35stood still Eagle flew out of the night
- 57:41He was something to observe Came in close,
- 57:47I heard a voice Standing stretching every nerve
- 57:53I had to listen, had no choice I
- 57:57did not believe the information Just had to
- 58:02trust imagination My heart going boom, boom, boom
- 58:08Son, he said, grab your things I'm gonna
- 58:12take you home Yeah, I'm coming for you
- 58:22To keep in silence I resigned My friends
- 58:28would think I was a nut Turning water
- 58:32into wine Open doors would soon be shut
- 58:39So I went from day to day My
- 58:44life was in a rut Till I thought
- 58:49of what I'd say Which connection I should
- 58:54cut I was feeling part of the scenery
- 58:58I walked right out of the machinery My
- 59:03heart going boom, boom, boom Hey, he said,
- 59:08grab your things I'm gonna take you home
- 59:13Hey, back home Oh,
- 59:29an illusion's been a net I'm never where
- 59:34I wanna be And liberty she threw away
- 59:41When I think that I am free That's
- 59:46my empty silhouette Oh, close my eyes and
- 59:50I'll see Close their eyes, just look and
- 59:52see No one talking, any care I will
- 59:59show another me Today I don't need a
- 1:00:03replacement I tell them, put the smile on
- 1:00:07my face Man, my heart going boom, boom,
- 1:00:11boom Hey, I said, you can keep my
- 1:00:15things I said, come and take me home
- 1:01:25That's pretty cool.
- 1:01:26The video's actually pretty cool.
- 1:01:29At any rate, I enjoy that song and
- 1:01:32I thought I would play it for you.
- 1:01:34I had one more I was gonna do,
- 1:01:35but I'm not gonna do it.
- 1:01:36I might not have enough time to finish
- 1:01:38what I'm trying to finish today and tell
- 1:01:40you a little bit about the things that
- 1:01:41I want to talk about.
- 1:01:42There was such an interesting dude.
- 1:01:45And I started listening to him, I was
- 1:01:46like, man, this guy's nuts.
- 1:01:48And it sounds like just some guy who,
- 1:01:50and he's not nuts, but that he was...
- 1:01:54I don't know if you've watched this over
- 1:01:56YouTube, but since I get throttled by YouTube,
- 1:02:00I get slowed down because, especially my Russian
- 1:02:03channel, gets slowed down and blocked in Russia
- 1:02:06and my channel was gaining 2,000 to
- 1:02:085,000 subscribers every single day on the
- 1:02:12Russian side and it was crazy, the growth
- 1:02:15that it was going through.
- 1:02:16And then I went to Russia in August
- 1:02:17of...
- 1:02:19I don't remember.
- 1:02:20Well, I did it every August for like
- 1:02:22five years in a row and went from
- 1:02:24August and September.
- 1:02:25And I'd go for 2 to 3 to
- 1:02:284 weeks.
- 1:02:29I'd go 10 days in a sanitarium.
- 1:02:31That's a lot of fun, 10 to 15
- 1:02:32days, and then spend 10 to 15 days
- 1:02:35cruising the country.
- 1:02:36And then do it again in the spring
- 1:02:38if I could do it that way.
- 1:02:39And I like doing that.
- 1:02:41And then go to Istanbul and pick another
- 1:02:43couple of countries on the way and stuff
- 1:02:44like that.
- 1:02:45At any rate, when I went in August
- 1:02:49of either 23...
- 1:02:50I think it was 24.
- 1:02:51It was when they started serious throttling.
- 1:02:58If you ever mentioned anything pro-Russia or
- 1:03:00if you said anything in Russian, they throttled
- 1:03:02all those cases and then they cut off
- 1:03:04and blocked and you couldn't get onto it
- 1:03:06for VPN.
- 1:03:06They got rid of the girl who was
- 1:03:09from Ukraine.
- 1:03:11Great Ukrainian channel.
- 1:03:14She had 2 million subscribers and they just
- 1:03:17canceled her channel because they don't like what
- 1:03:21she's saying.
- 1:03:22And they didn't like what she was saying,
- 1:03:24so they turned her off.
- 1:03:25And she's coming back.
- 1:03:27She had to start again, new channel, all
- 1:03:30because they didn't like what they were saying.
- 1:03:33This is crazy.
- 1:03:35So here's this guy, this guy who calls
- 1:03:37himself...
- 1:03:39Kolobok, which means gingerbread man.
- 1:03:43They always have these little stories, the Kolobok.
- 1:03:48You remember little gingerbread man stories from when
- 1:03:51you were a kid?
- 1:03:52Well, Kolobok is a gingerbread man, basically, or
- 1:03:55a little ginger cake, right?
- 1:03:58And he calls himself Kolobok Tavricheski.
- 1:04:01And he says he's a native from Odessa.
- 1:04:04He was a port welder, worked on the
- 1:04:06ports for 10 years.
- 1:04:07He now lives abroad.
- 1:04:08He's still connected to port workers.
- 1:04:10And he started a little charity.
- 1:04:12And he uses code, and a lot of
- 1:04:14people are speaking in code.
- 1:04:16A lot of people won't call Zelensky Zelensky
- 1:04:19because they don't want to be tagged with
- 1:04:21that if there's a speech of something else.
- 1:04:24People will get to the point where they're
- 1:04:26not using real words.
- 1:04:27They'll put other words in there.
- 1:04:28You don't want to say the word Nazi
- 1:04:30or you're going to be blocked even if
- 1:04:33you just say the word.
- 1:04:33So they take off a letter and call
- 1:04:35them Nazis or whatever.
- 1:04:37And they do that all the time.
- 1:04:39And he uses some kind of a code.
- 1:04:40He doesn't speak about Russia.
- 1:04:42He says the bear, and it's all in
- 1:04:45Russian.
- 1:04:46But even in Russian, they're blocking based on
- 1:04:49your topic, especially in Russian, in fact.
- 1:04:52And you won't get to be heard in
- 1:04:54the West in Russian if you speak the
- 1:04:56truth.
- 1:04:57You won't get it.
- 1:04:59They will only allow people who don't speak
- 1:05:02the truth to be promoted on YouTube.
- 1:05:05Crazy, but true.
- 1:05:07And in the West, anywhere.
- 1:05:09And so he speaks about the bear.
- 1:05:11You can give a show about bears.
- 1:05:13You can't give a show about Russia.
- 1:05:15And he says, Nizhnyaya, which means Ukraine, Nizhnyaya,
- 1:05:21and the wild ones, mean Western Ukrainians or
- 1:05:25nationalist newcomers because Odessa, according to him, has
- 1:05:30been overrun by young nationalist Ukrainian newcomers who
- 1:05:34don't know anything about their Russian history or
- 1:05:36ancestry and that Odessa has been flooded with
- 1:05:40these types.
- 1:05:42He uses deliberate dialect caricatures to distinguish between
- 1:05:47people who are authentic Odessans from people arriving
- 1:05:53from Ternopil, Lvov, Ivano-Frankivsk, and elsewhere.
- 1:05:57So the coding is partly humor, but mostly
- 1:06:02platform self-protection in a method of building
- 1:06:06a little bit more of an intimate audience
- 1:06:08because if you understand these things, you're more
- 1:06:11likely to listen to his Russian part points.
- 1:06:15And his Russian points are very well put
- 1:06:17together.
- 1:06:18So either I'm duped.
- 1:06:20I'm a dupe that understands these things or
- 1:06:23I believe in the sales pitch that has
- 1:06:26been put out by the other side and
- 1:06:28I'm nothing but a Putin puppet, right?
- 1:06:30Where's Hillary Clinton when you need to be
- 1:06:32called a Putin puppet?
- 1:06:33I don't know.
- 1:06:35There you have it.
- 1:06:37But his underlying statement is Odessa isn't merely
- 1:06:40changed government.
- 1:06:42It has been demographically, linguistically, and economically destroyed
- 1:06:51and replaced.
- 1:06:51That is his program.
- 1:06:55And it's the first time I've seen it.
- 1:06:56It could be the first one he's ever
- 1:06:58done.
- 1:06:59I've never seen it.
- 1:07:01And the story of the port actually has
- 1:07:03foundation.
- 1:07:05And his stories actually are foundationally true.
- 1:07:09And he's a person who lived it according
- 1:07:11to his own short story.
- 1:07:12So let's talk about Odessa for a moment
- 1:07:14because Odessa, historically, Russian port for centuries.
- 1:07:18And the imperial, Russia, had ports down there.
- 1:07:27And Catherine the Great established, not established, but
- 1:07:32there's plenty of history revolving around her in
- 1:07:35western Ukraine and in all those places from
- 1:07:37Catherine the Great in Odessa notably.
- 1:07:40And Russia has been using right now these
- 1:07:44guided aerial bombs, FABs, FAB-500s, all the
- 1:07:48way up to FAB-3000s to destroy now
- 1:07:51the port infrastructure of Odessa.
- 1:07:54Now, my view, they wouldn't have done it,
- 1:07:56hadn't planned on doing it, and didn't want
- 1:07:59to destroy these historic cities because they're historic
- 1:08:04cities.
- 1:08:05But Ukraine went over into the Azov Sea
- 1:08:08and destroyed the port infrastructure, destroyed the ability
- 1:08:12to haul grain.
- 1:08:14They bombed and blew up and fired at
- 1:08:17grain ships over there and burned them out.
- 1:08:21Now, they don't have, on their drones, they
- 1:08:24don't have capacity enough to destroy and sink
- 1:08:28a ship.
- 1:08:28But Russia, and they have sunk a couple,
- 1:08:30but it takes multiple, multiple efforts to get
- 1:08:33there.
- 1:08:33But they certainly impacted Russians' ability to ship
- 1:08:37grain, to ship fertilizer, to ship what the
- 1:08:42world needs.
- 1:08:44Grain, fertilizer, and my sister was telling me
- 1:08:48that the fertilizer impact on the United States
- 1:08:53is very real, and that they're not going
- 1:08:56to have crops of several things because of
- 1:08:59it.
- 1:08:59Now, she's a conspiracy theorist, which I don't
- 1:09:03take as a bad thing, but just so
- 1:09:05you know where it comes from, she also
- 1:09:07believes in bigger picture things, some of which
- 1:09:10I believe and some of which I don't,
- 1:09:12but it doesn't matter.
- 1:09:13The fact is these are global events that
- 1:09:17are going on with Ukraine starting the bombing
- 1:09:21of well over 100, if not more than
- 1:09:24that.
- 1:09:24I mean, some numbers they're generating as high
- 1:09:27as 250, destroying Russian tankers and tanker ships.
- 1:09:32There are catastrophic releases of oil into the
- 1:09:35Black Sea and into the Azov Sea, and
- 1:09:38they're talking about it in the Straits of
- 1:09:40Bosphorus, if it gets down there.
- 1:09:41They're talking about it in the Mediterranean.
- 1:09:44That's where Ukraine first attacked an oil tanker,
- 1:09:46and Britain's done it up in the North
- 1:09:50Sea, and people are talking.
- 1:09:51Ukraine doesn't listen to anyone.
- 1:09:54The guy who said don't give Ukraine ultimatums,
- 1:09:57he's absolutely right.
- 1:09:58They don't care.
- 1:09:59They're like Netanyahu.
- 1:10:01Netanyahu, you can't tell him what to do.
- 1:10:04Don't bother.
- 1:10:05If he wants to throw a nuclear weapon,
- 1:10:07he's going to.
- 1:10:08He ain't going to ask your permission.
- 1:10:09He's going to do it and go, now
- 1:10:11you've got to back me because we're really
- 1:10:13in charge, not you.
- 1:10:14Unfortunately, a lot of people think that the
- 1:10:17old Green Goblin is the same as that.
- 1:10:20Frankly, there's a lot of truth to these
- 1:10:24perceptions.
- 1:10:24That's definitely my perception.
- 1:10:26Why in the world aren't we telling these
- 1:10:28a-holes what they're going to do if
- 1:10:30we're telling the rest of the planet what
- 1:10:32we're doing, and is the tail wagging the
- 1:10:34dog or vice versa?
- 1:10:37And so there's substantial factual support for the
- 1:10:42immediate military developments that this guy, this Kolobok,
- 1:10:45was talking about, Terechevsky or whatever his name
- 1:10:48was.
- 1:10:49He was pretty comical to listen to in
- 1:10:51Russian, and what he did is he said,
- 1:10:53the way he said he makes his videos,
- 1:10:55he has friends because he's no longer in
- 1:10:57Odessa, and he had a friend take a
- 1:11:00walk around Odessa in its present condition and
- 1:11:06film what was going on, especially if they
- 1:11:10could get near the ports, but you don't
- 1:11:11want to get near the ports anymore.
- 1:11:13It's hard to do.
- 1:11:14And the beautiful city that he loved, and
- 1:11:16he was talking about it as the guy
- 1:11:18is walking through the city with his camera,
- 1:11:21he says that people that remain in Odessa
- 1:11:24don't say anything, that if you speak Russian
- 1:11:28in Odessa, a Russian city historically, that there
- 1:11:34will be consequences.
- 1:11:36You're likely to get beaten up on the
- 1:11:38street, and I'm telling you those people are
- 1:11:41alive and well in Miami, and you go
- 1:11:43to these huge Russian stores down there, and
- 1:11:47people are afraid to speak Russian.
- 1:11:48The Russians are whispering among themselves, and the
- 1:11:52Ukrainians are quite loud and speaking Ukrainian, and
- 1:11:56if you speak Russian, you're impacted.
- 1:12:01This is what he's saying is going on
- 1:12:03in Odessa and went on ever since Maidan
- 1:12:07in 2014 all over the eastern half of
- 1:12:10Ukraine.
- 1:12:11And there's a definite truth in this.
- 1:12:13I've been talking about it for a long
- 1:12:15time.
- 1:12:16And he said the Russian reporting stated that
- 1:12:21from July 22 to 24, the port facilities
- 1:12:25in Odessa were being bombed because they're used
- 1:12:29for military cargo, fuel storage, and what the
- 1:12:32West is doing, and remember, Britain put up
- 1:12:34a ton of money to develop a lot
- 1:12:37of this stuff.
- 1:12:38Britain is pissed off about it too.
- 1:12:41And Britain wants to own Odessa, and they
- 1:12:45put a lot of money into it, into
- 1:12:47the upgrading of port facilities and blah, blah,
- 1:12:49blah, modernization, and now Russia's bombing it.
- 1:12:52And they're only doing it because Kiev, Ukraine,
- 1:12:57bombed it in the Sea of Azov, right?
- 1:13:00And now in Ukraine, in Odessa, the ports
- 1:13:04are being used for military cargo in and
- 1:13:07Ukrainian grain out.
- 1:13:09Well, allegedly it's been completely blockaded, just like
- 1:13:15Russia has been cut off in the Azov
- 1:13:17Sea for getting their grain out into the
- 1:13:21Black Sea and later on through the Straits
- 1:13:23of Bosphorus and into the Mediterranean and elsewhere,
- 1:13:26that their port capacity in the south is
- 1:13:30definitely curtailed, and there's some hundreds of ships
- 1:13:35that have been bombed.
- 1:13:36Well, Russia's done the same thing, but they
- 1:13:38blow them up.
- 1:13:40There are conflicting stories about whether the ships
- 1:13:42in the Azov Sea, that Ukraine wasn't able
- 1:13:46to destroy them, but they've all been done
- 1:13:48with U.S. intelligence anyway.
- 1:13:52And Russia doesn't need U.S. intelligence.
- 1:13:54Russia just has been and said, okay, well,
- 1:13:58you're going to do this to our port,
- 1:14:00to our fertilizer market, to our grain markets,
- 1:14:04into Africa and elsewhere.
- 1:14:06We're going to do it the same to
- 1:14:08you and take out Ukrainian exports of grain
- 1:14:11to Western Europe, at least through the Black
- 1:14:15Sea, and we're going to cut off that
- 1:14:17leg completely.
- 1:14:18And so now they've either got to go
- 1:14:19all the way down to Romania, maybe Bulgaria,
- 1:14:22try to get some of this stuff out,
- 1:14:23or not, and it's mostly a not.
- 1:14:28And Russia has drone component workshops, drone warehouses,
- 1:14:33shipping, 23, 24 ships that have been destroyed,
- 1:14:39sank, in the harbor in Odessa.
- 1:14:42There are facilities at Izmail that are associated
- 1:14:47with making these unmanned boat drones, and then
- 1:14:51cargo vessels that were being unloaded in Nikolaev
- 1:14:54that have been blown up.
- 1:14:55But more importantly, Ukrainian reporting, based on official
- 1:14:59Air Force warning, said that on July 25th,
- 1:15:03guided aerial bombs, these FABs, were launched toward
- 1:15:07Chernomorsk.
- 1:15:08Chernomorsk is to the north of Odessa, and
- 1:15:10it's a huge port infrastructure, and the bombs
- 1:15:13didn't reach the city, allegedly, but just the
- 1:15:16warnings itself said the possibility was real.
- 1:15:19I've seen video on Telegram that say they
- 1:15:22actually hit.
- 1:15:23All the cranes being taken out, nobody can
- 1:15:26load their ships anymore, and the speaker's discussion
- 1:15:30and concern was not a fantasy.
- 1:15:33I believe he was talking about reality.
- 1:15:37And these guided bombs toward the Odessa port
- 1:15:39means that Russia Naviations is bombing and increasingly
- 1:15:43putting pressure on the coastal logistics networks of
- 1:15:47Ukraine, and they aren't having to use expensive
- 1:15:51missiles and drones because these FABs, so these
- 1:15:54FAB bombs, your FAB-500, your FAB-5000,
- 1:15:58I'm sorry, your FAB-1500s and your FAB
- 1:16:00-3000s, are the amount of TNT, basically, they
- 1:16:05put in there, and they will blow up
- 1:16:07a...
- 1:16:08Oh, man, go out and check out FAB
- 1:16:11-3000s and the destruction of what they do.
- 1:16:14Find it on YouTube if you're interested and
- 1:16:15just watch what they do because it's kind
- 1:16:18of a vacuum effect.
- 1:16:20And so it goes in.
- 1:16:21The initial strike blows something up.
- 1:16:24There's like a 3-second delay, and the
- 1:16:27entire thing goes.
- 1:16:28Then the real explosion hits, and so it
- 1:16:30sucks all the oxygen out in the first
- 1:16:33strike and then explodes the oxygen in an
- 1:16:38outward push and has twice as much damage
- 1:16:41as a typical bomb.
- 1:16:43And basically, these are 3,000-pound equivalents
- 1:16:48to TNT, and they will take out city
- 1:16:50blocks, several blocks, not just one, several, when
- 1:16:55they are dropped on the FAB-3000.
- 1:16:58And the FAB-1500 is destructive.
- 1:17:00One big building, FAB-500.
- 1:17:02You know, you send out those.
- 1:17:04And so these FAB bombs, what the Russians
- 1:17:08have done, and this used to be like,
- 1:17:10you see in the old black-and-white
- 1:17:12World War II things with the U.S.
- 1:17:14dropping bombs on Japan, you would see the
- 1:17:18cargo open up and all these bombs would
- 1:17:21drop out.
- 1:17:22You couldn't really aim them.
- 1:17:23They weren't ballistic in nature.
- 1:17:25They were just being dropped.
- 1:17:27And Russia has tens of thousands, hundreds of
- 1:17:30thousands of these bombs from the past that
- 1:17:33they have saved.
- 1:17:34What they've done is they've put glide kits
- 1:17:36on them, and now they can be controlled.
- 1:17:41And they put glide kits and tracking and
- 1:17:47all of that.
- 1:17:48So now take these bombs that we were
- 1:17:50using to destroy entire cities back in World
- 1:17:54War II, and now you can use them
- 1:17:57to guide to a specific block.
- 1:18:02And you don't need to drop 30 of
- 1:18:03them like the U.S. would do.
- 1:18:05Well, everybody did, you know, when they would
- 1:18:08drop them from their bomber planes.
- 1:18:11You could drop it from a regular.
- 1:18:12Hell, you could drop it from a helicopter.
- 1:18:14And now it can be controlled by these
- 1:18:17glide kits that they put on them, and
- 1:18:19they can take this bomb and target it
- 1:18:21to a specific location and blow it up.
- 1:18:23And that's what they're doing with these FAB
- 1:18:263000s especially.
- 1:18:29And they are destroying entire infrastructures, including in
- 1:18:36Chornomorsk and including in Odessa.
- 1:18:39And frankly, I'm not sure that there's some
- 1:18:44discussions that I've followed as well that talk
- 1:18:47about whether or not they really don't blow
- 1:18:53up when they drop to the ground anyway.
- 1:18:56Whether they, you know, if you blow them
- 1:18:58up midair, you might stop the guidance, and
- 1:19:01then they just become the 3,000-pound
- 1:19:04bomb that drops wherever.
- 1:19:06So do you really want to?
- 1:19:07I mean, what do you want to do?
- 1:19:09And so the destruction potential is amazing.
- 1:19:12Anyway, the larger conclusion that he was making
- 1:19:17is that a FAB itself doesn't prove that
- 1:19:20the complete naval economic blockade, but I realize
- 1:19:23it's coming.
- 1:19:24The commercial shipping is stopped.
- 1:19:26You know what Russia did?
- 1:19:27They put in a blockade.
- 1:19:29Did you know that?
- 1:19:30They mirrored what the U.S. did down
- 1:19:32in Hormuz, and they've established their own blockade.
- 1:19:35No ships can go through in the Black
- 1:19:37Sea if they came from Odessa.
- 1:19:40And they're boarding them, they're doing this.
- 1:19:43There's discussion going on about, well, you know,
- 1:19:46the Brits are stealing our cargo and selling
- 1:19:48it, you know, everywhere else in the world.
- 1:19:50They're taking the money from selling our oil
- 1:19:53to somebody else, and they're pocketing the money.
- 1:19:56Well, we're just going to do the same,
- 1:19:58or put them at the bottom of the
- 1:19:59Black Sea, you know, and that's what they've
- 1:20:02been doing more and more.
- 1:20:03So Russia has its on there too, and
- 1:20:06there's plenty of those.
- 1:20:07The July 25th FAB warnings shows an expanding
- 1:20:11of the methods of attack, but it doesn't
- 1:20:13quite yet show.
- 1:20:14It's changed a little bit even in the
- 1:20:16last few days because he was on July
- 1:20:1825th is when his was going.
- 1:20:19He was given a prediction of widespread hunger
- 1:20:22in Odessa or in the world because the
- 1:20:27degrading of the port means that you can't
- 1:20:29export out of those ports, and a lot
- 1:20:31of the world is going to have trouble
- 1:20:32getting their grains.
- 1:20:34That's true, but I don't know that it
- 1:20:36means the global impact that he's alleging it
- 1:20:39does.
- 1:20:39But if you take out both the Azov
- 1:20:41Sea, Russian grain, and the Black Sea, Ukrainian
- 1:20:45grain.
- 1:20:45Ukraine is one of the biggest providers of
- 1:20:48grain to the west, or at least historically
- 1:20:51was, that it's going to be a bad
- 1:20:57event, yet another one, that is going to
- 1:20:59impact markets.
- 1:21:01You know, my sister and a couple other
- 1:21:05family members are into making sure you have
- 1:21:10a year's worth of food storage and stuff
- 1:21:13like that.
- 1:21:14Might be worthwhile to have right now, that's
- 1:21:17for sure.
- 1:21:20He had a very real and a revealing
- 1:21:25sentence in his description of the port city
- 1:21:30as the last refuge of true Odessans, and
- 1:21:34he contrasted the skilled industrial workers of Odessa
- 1:21:39for centuries, welders, electricians, crane operators, boat experts,
- 1:21:45dock workers, mechanics, industry and tally clerks with
- 1:21:51the new urban economy of the scam of
- 1:21:55the call center.
- 1:21:57Cryptocurrency schemes, bars, clubs, and sexualized entertainment of
- 1:22:03Odessa that is prevalent now.
- 1:22:06And he said it's not merely a nostalgia,
- 1:22:09it's a recognizable class warfare, class difference of
- 1:22:15the new Ukraine, which are scammers, which are
- 1:22:18computer experts, which used to be heavy labor,
- 1:22:24maritime trade, technical competence, Russian language, urban culture,
- 1:22:29and inherited professional identities.
- 1:22:31He said his family was fifth generation dock
- 1:22:34electrician, dock worker, you know, they worked on
- 1:22:38the docks, and they inherited this from their
- 1:22:40families, and none of that is there anymore.
- 1:22:42And he said there was a bit of
- 1:22:44a Soviet expectation that industrial workers also possess
- 1:22:49a kind of a professional tradesman social dignity.
- 1:22:55The new Odessa, according to this guy, and
- 1:22:57this is what made it so interesting to
- 1:23:00me to listen to this guy, is that
- 1:23:03it's political conformity.
- 1:23:05You know, you got to believe that a
- 1:23:07woman can be a man if she wants
- 1:23:08to and vice versa.
- 1:23:11Scams and speculative money are a way of
- 1:23:13life, and nobody stops them.
- 1:23:15There are thousands of these call centers.
- 1:23:18Ukraine is known for these call centers and
- 1:23:22the home of the scam.
- 1:23:24And they interviewed, I watched an interview on
- 1:23:26Pyotr V.
- 1:23:27Kinal the other day, Channel One, that said
- 1:23:30that the lady interviewed, and the guy had
- 1:23:32a black thing over his face, that he
- 1:23:34was a Ukrainian that worked at one of
- 1:23:36these places, and they would get paid 15
- 1:23:39percent of the scam.
- 1:23:41So if you get an old Russian pensioner
- 1:23:44on the phone or somebody whose kid was
- 1:23:46taken by the Ukrainians and they would ransom
- 1:23:50them off in these call centers, and they
- 1:23:52would start calling his family and say send
- 1:23:54us some money or we're going to kill
- 1:23:55the guy, and that's how they funded it
- 1:24:00all, that if you got the money, you
- 1:24:01got a 15 percent.
- 1:24:03People were selling their apartments.
- 1:24:05This guy said that the biggest one he
- 1:24:07ever got was in the neighborhood of two
- 1:24:09to three million rubles sold.
- 1:24:12And remember, that is a million rubles is
- 1:24:16roughly $80,000 or was at the time.
- 1:24:19And so that's $240,000, and he got
- 1:24:2315 percent of that for making a call
- 1:24:25and getting this person to sell off their
- 1:24:27stuff.
- 1:24:27And he said it was a scam, that
- 1:24:29in the end they don't even get what
- 1:24:30they're paying for, and they're taking the life
- 1:24:33saving, and they're doing it all over the
- 1:24:34country.
- 1:24:3549 countries when they bust them, and the
- 1:24:37prosecutors in Ukraine won't do anything about it.
- 1:24:40It is the whole place.
- 1:24:42These are alive and well, and it's all
- 1:24:44the kids that they're not sending off to
- 1:24:45war, because the only people that get sent
- 1:24:47to war are those that are older than
- 1:24:4925.
- 1:24:51Now they're all in the call centers, and
- 1:24:54this is the rich professional, if you want
- 1:24:57to call them that, rich professional call center
- 1:24:59class, and nobody will touch them.
- 1:25:01And the prosecutors don't touch them either.
- 1:25:03That's Ukraine, friends and neighbors.
- 1:25:06And this guy was talking about it.
- 1:25:07He said that Odessa is now political conformity.
- 1:25:10Y'all got to love the gays in
- 1:25:13the Western, you know, put in all these
- 1:25:16rainbow flags.
- 1:25:19Scams and speculative money, social media performance, click
- 1:25:23bait, consumerism, you know, what do I have?
- 1:25:26Where's my big, you know, show me, let
- 1:25:28me show you my puffy lips that I've
- 1:25:32had injected.
- 1:25:33I went to Kiev and got that done,
- 1:25:36or I flew over to Istanbul and had
- 1:25:38the doctors take care of it.
- 1:25:39I have fake boobs, you know, we have
- 1:25:42temporary migration, you know, we're taking it over
- 1:25:44from those, you know, those old Russian types
- 1:25:47that live in Odessa, and people who have
- 1:25:48no connection to the city or its maritime
- 1:25:52history.
- 1:25:53Now he may be exaggerating the contrast of
- 1:25:56this, but this is why the attacks on
- 1:25:58the port affect him so deeply, and he
- 1:26:01didn't even live there anymore, because the port
- 1:26:03was always to him a military logistic target.
- 1:26:06Odessa's economic foundation, in fact, Ukraine's economic foundation,
- 1:26:11the remaining workplace of the city's traditional population,
- 1:26:16and a symbol, the whole thing is symbolic
- 1:26:19of the Odessa that existed before the Maidan
- 1:26:232014, when they started putting all this anti
- 1:26:27-Russian stuff together.
- 1:26:28And his argument is kind of tragic, actually.
- 1:26:32It's not a simple military, look at what
- 1:26:34we're losing.
- 1:26:35Russia might be the ones that are striking
- 1:26:38facilities that are now used by the Ukrainian
- 1:26:40military, but the economic and social casualties are
- 1:26:44going to include precisely the old Odessans, who
- 1:26:48Russia regards as culturally the same as them.
- 1:26:53Does that make sense?
- 1:26:55It's a legitimate tension that he's talking about,
- 1:26:58and he was truly distraught over the whole
- 1:27:00thing.
- 1:27:01He tried to talk about it in his
- 1:27:03gingerbread kind of, tried to keep it lighter,
- 1:27:07but it ain't light.
- 1:27:08It's a very serious topic.
- 1:27:10And the scam and call center industry is
- 1:27:13very real, and much larger than his small
- 1:27:17reference to it talks about.
- 1:27:19It's enormous.
- 1:27:21And the criminal industry is extremely well documented.
- 1:27:26An April 2026 study by the Global Initiative
- 1:27:29Against Transnational Organized Crime said that approximately 60
- 1:27:34,000 Ukrainians work in scam call centers.
- 1:27:38The industry generates as much as a billion
- 1:27:41dollars a month.
- 1:27:461,000 centers remain after recent alleged crackdowns,
- 1:27:51and major city operations will have as many
- 1:27:54as 200 to 350 employees working in a
- 1:27:58call center, and victims have been recorded in
- 1:28:01at least 29 countries.
- 1:28:03The report says the industry is highly consolidated.
- 1:28:06A small number of criminal networks control much
- 1:28:09of it, and connections to traditional organized crime,
- 1:28:13secrecy, war propaganda, and very few successful prosecution
- 1:28:18says that it's hard to track ownership right
- 1:28:21now.
- 1:28:21And Odessa is one of the documented centers
- 1:28:24of it, that criminal enterprises move from more
- 1:28:26exposed eastern areas into the comparatively safer cities
- 1:28:30of Odessa, Lvov, Vinnytsia, and Transcarpathia.
- 1:28:33It said that in 2025 many Odessa operators
- 1:28:37are working remotely, so now they can work
- 1:28:39at home through Starlink.
- 1:28:41How about that?
- 1:28:43Wow.
- 1:28:44Maybe we'll talk a little bit more about
- 1:28:46that next week.
- 1:28:48Patriotic scamming is alive and well, and maybe
- 1:28:51we'll get into some of that.
- 1:28:52The show went a little quickly, and I
- 1:28:54did get off topic and ramble a little
- 1:28:55bit, but I had fun doing it.
- 1:28:57I hope you had fun listening.
