What's holding you back from creating that thing you want to create, from sharing that message that you know you have to share, from telling that story, from starting that business, from writing that book, from creating that song?
• 0:17
What's holding you back from doing it? And how long has it been holding you back?
• 0:23
Could it be perfectionism? Or you really just want to make it, like the greatest thing ever? It's got to be awesome. And so it's got to be so awesome that you're probably never going to do it? Or is it the fear of failure, just the idea that it's not going to work? Or it's not going to be as good as you think, or it's just a bomb, it's just bad.
• 0:42
Maybe it's the worst thing you ever did.
• 0:45
Or maybe inner imposter syndrome. You think, who am I to write a book? Who am I to record a video? Who am I to record some audio? Who am I to paint a painting, to start a business, to begin a project? Who am I? Who dare be I to do such a thing?
• 1:04
Is it the inner doubts? Is it the imposter syndrome?
• 1:07
  Is it procrastination?
• 1:09
Is it, you know what? Next year is better. You know, maybe when the kids are off to school, maybe when Pepper feels like it. Maybe, you know, Tuesdays are really better for that. You know, I was thinking, like, an odd year, that would be good, right? Because these even year, you know, or maybe, like I used to say, for eight years of my life, let me write that book. When I'm on the lake with the wraparound deck.
• 1:41
  The wraparound deck.
• 1:43
I'm. I'm on the table with a laptop. The sun is setting just right. Oh, the sun just came in. It's a sign I need to write the book. And there's a cup of hot tea, maybe hot chai, maybe chai latte.
• 1:55
Sitting on my table, steaming, just right. The sun is setting perfectly. And then and only then can I write my book.
• 2:05
Is that the time? Is that when it's gonna happen? Because let me tell you, it ain't gonna know happen. You want to know some good grammar? It ain't gonna know happen. That's what. That's what's going on.
• 2:14
It ain't gonna know happen. I know, I know.
• 2:19
  So when's going to happen?
• 2:22
I'm Bradley Charbonneau. It is Thursday. And the reason I'm filming today is because it's Thursday.
• 2:28
And in fact, that's a bit of a secret to my success.
• 2:31
I record a video every single Thursday. I've been doing it for seven seasons. Seven years. I hit record on a Thursday.
• 2:41
Do I wait for perfection? No. Do I procrastinate? Sometimes, but not for longer than the whole day.
• 2:47
Am I imposter syndrome? Not anymore. Why? Because I have practice. I keep doing it. I keep doing the thing. I just hit record and I go for it. Oh, guess what? Have I gotten better over the years? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Can I get it? Come on now. Can I get it? Come on now? Because we are rocking this thing. Is everything an award winning masterpiece? No. Do I care? No. Who's my audience?
• 3:12
Me and you. If you're watching, I love you. Have I mentioned that lately? But my audience is me. And that's why I am both the creator and the consumer of the content. And thus, every single week is a success.
• 3:30
Bradley, what are we talking about today? We're talking about failure. We're talking about the failure to launch, the. The failure to start, to begin to try to fail. The fear that goes on with it, right?
• 3:42
And the idea of not doing the thing.
• 3:45
So next year, 2027, I'm hosting three summits. Count them. That looks like four. Three. Three summits. That would be like AI hands, right? Three. I swear. Three. AI. AI alert. AI alert. Three summits. That's a European three, by the way. That's like. That's the. I think that's an American three. Is that European three? Give me. Give me a comment on that. What do you think about that?
• 4:06
Three summits next year? You know what they are? Clarity, courage, Confidence.
• 4:11
Clarity. Courage. Confidence. The clarity to decide. The courage to start and the. And the confidence to commit.
• 4:19
Commit's a biggie. Commit. I have now committed to every single week of video on Thursday. That's what Thursday Thunder has become. That's why I have 500 plus podcast episodes. That's why I have seven years of weekly videos. That's how I got to 300,000 subscribers and 12 million views. Because I am consistent.
• 4:40
Consistence is key. Consistent. In my opinion, humble opinion. Consistence is really everything because everything flows from there.
• 4:48
So next year, it's big, right? Clarity, courage, confidence. Those are big ideas. They're going to be amazing. They're going to be fantastic. They're gonna be the best summits ever. Fantastic. So am I gonna do it? No. I'm scared. Am I gonna procrastinate? Yes. Am I worried about it being perfect? Yes. So what do you think I'm gonna do first?
• 5:05
What did Hemingway do? He wrote 95 pages of crap before he got the five pages of the good stuff. So first off, we're gonna do the worst summit ever. I know, I know. Bradley, you're so funny. Have you done stand up? Have I seen you on stage?
• 5:22
You do some stand up? Do you do some improv comedy? I know, I'm hilarious. So here's the deal.
• 5:28
In November, Probably November, probably November 17th. Don't quote me on that. We are gonna do the worst summit ever. What are we doing? We're doing it so that we do it. We're doing it so that we get started and we're better when we practice and it becomes a habit. And I get better at summits, right? I mean, I've been a host, I've been an emcee many times, but this is a summit. This is an event. I've done them, but I'm not practiced at them, right? I want to get good at them. I want to get better at them. So I want to host something and I don't want to have all that pressure of it being amazing. Oh, my God, it's amazing. No, I want it to be good. I want it to be really good. And so what we're going to talk about, the theme of the event is kind of failure.
• 6:11
But then not just failure, but failure. And then learning from the failure.
• 6:16
What did you learn from the failure? That you can apply, right? Like, to your future, to improve, to learn, to move forward, to advance, right? To then do the thing just like that first draft, and then you're gonna later write the real book, right? So that's just. That's kind of what we're talking about here. Okay? So we've got worst summit ever, November 2026. Now, if you're thinking, I've got a story of failure, awesome. If I shout out to Nicholeen Housinga who says, share from the scar and not from the wound, then I want your story, I want your message to be solved. I want you to have gone through the failure and then benefited from it, learned from it with, like a message coming out the other side. Okay.
• 7:08
I can't even see anything. By the way, you do not have to wear colored glasses. I'm getting all these comments about my sunglasses, so I keep doing it, of course. Especially shout out to my. My friend Thorsten in Germany, in Spain, he's German, who comments pretty much every time about my sunglasses and how terrible they are and how they're like a hindrance to society and a shame on the planet. Like, I know. So I'm going to keep doing them. So that's probably that's a little bit it. Right. We're going to have fun. We're going to get it done.
• 7:36
It's gonna be one fun done. We're gonna get it done in November. So if you want to join, if you want to join as a, as a part, as a spectator, as a viewer, as a student, come on over to summit.repossible.com and sign up. I'm pretty sure you can already sign up now if you think you've got a story to tell, you've got a message to share about failure and how you learned from it and you have a message about what you could teach others from your experience.
• 8:14
So maybe they don't have to go through that failure or they, or maybe they do, but you're going to help them get through on the other side.
• 8:21
So if you've got a story to tell, a message to share, sort of an example or a case study of you. I want to be real, not made up stuff. Right. Real failure that then had an outcome that was bad, but then it turned good. Right. So silver lining. And what was the benefit of having gone through that experience? All right, that's pretty much it. And I want to. I'm going to have a very strict structure. I'm very much into short content. Like this video ideally is 10 minutes, although I can't read my. I literally can't read my clock walk because I can't see with these glasses.
• 8:58
So I. They're going to be under 10, 15 minutes. They're going to be really short segments and the format is going to be interview. I am going to interview you for 10 to 15 minutes about your story. That's the way it's going to work. And if you don't like it, there's the door, so I know. And then we're going to have like a one page summary with a takeaway and highlights and sort of a one page cheat sheet about your talk about your message that we can then share with people. And then if we have more, you know, other items, other things to, to share or sell or whatever, great. And speaking of money, it'll be free, but then there could be some upsells and some, and some bonuses and some VIP stuff, whatever. Because here's the other part. If you're a speaker, I'd love you to come join me and help promote it. And then potentially with ticket sales or VIP stuff or, or extras, maybe we can make some money together. That'd be fun, right? And if we're really providing value to people and people are happy to open up their wallets and throw cash at us. I mean, come on, then.
• 10:06
Awesome. Okay, I'm gonna see if you can see this. I doubt it can zoom in, but I'm gonna try to change the focus. And it's seriously like safari. I don't know if you can see Pepper in the distance. There it is. I mean, I get safari every day. You know, it's. I'm just blessed like that. All right, so if you'd like to join, here are the topics off the top of my head, and they might be wrong because I'm kind of winging it here. Imagine Bradley winging it, because that's the thing. I don't want to wing it for this. For this summit. I want to have structure, and I want to have. So I'm talking, like, 50 speakers over the course of five days. That would be 10 a day. I know I'm a mathematician, and here's the topics off the top of my head. And I'm. I'm going from these.
• 10:47
From other podcasts, like, for example, Diary of a CEO or Mel Robbins. And I looked at the topics they do, and I want to do topics that are, you know, important.
• 10:59
So, for example, love and relationships. That's a good one, right? Love and relationships. Then we've got, like, health and wellness.
• 11:08
All right, that's a biggie. Health and wellness. What else? We got, like, business and entrepreneurship. Cool.
• 11:14
  Then we've got spirituality and.
• 11:20
I need another word. Spirituality and something.
• 11:24
How about that? That's an S word. Spirituality and something.
• 11:27
Spirituality and. I don't know. Let me know. And then do I have a fifth?
• 11:32
See, because, like, I wanna. I'm wondering about money, but maybe money's in, like, business and entrepreneurship. I don't know.
• 11:37
In fact, maybe if you've got a fifth one, let me know.
• 11:42
So what do we have? I already forgot them. We have health and wellness, spirituality and something.
• 11:50
  Business and entrepreneurship.
• 11:55
Health, wellness, business. Okay, are you seeing me stall here? Do I have notes? Where's my teleprompter? My mobile teleprompter is gone. I love in relationships. That must have been it.
• 12:05
Okay. All right. You got it. And then there's probably a fifth one, because I would like five days, because I like odd numbers. I like number three. I like number five. And so. And then I want to have 10 speakers. So it's going to be 10 times 10 minutes. That's a hundred minutes. For you mathematicians out there keeping track, that's a hundred minutes per day of content.
• 12:22
But that's short, right? Ten minutes. That's short to get across your one story. So that's why I'm going to bring the structure to the conversation and get that information out quickly. So if you, if this interest is interesting for you and you would like to be a speaker at the event, go to summit.repossible.com and then way down at the bottom, in the bottom, right. I think it's like, submit a talk proposal or something like that and fill out the form and let's talk and let's see. Right. We're not just taking anybody off the street corner. You know, this is.
• 12:53
I want it to be good stuff. I want you to fit in one of those categories. I want you to have a real message that. I want to have a real story, really about you. I'd like it to be, I don't mean this in a bad way, but, like, painful. I want it to be real. I don't want to be like, oh, I stubbed my toe and I learned to not stub my toe anymore. No, I learned to, like, watch where I'm going. No, I want big stuff. I want big stuff. And then, and hopefully you're going to be vulnerable, right? You're going to be vulnerable and you're going to share, like, the pain and our heartbreak and pain and suffering and torment of your experience.
• 13:29
And then how to get through that and how to help others who are watching learn from that and better themselves or avoid that mistake or go through that mistake. But know that there's a silver lining on the other end.
• 13:46
I think Din Tai Fun still in my head, have I mentioned Din Tai Fun? Do you know about their spicy noodles? Do you know Dinh Tai Fun? Din Tai Fun is like a Chinese dumpling restaurant around the world. Like in Malaysia and Seattle, in famous big giant cities around the world. It is the best. They're spicy green beans. I. You could just fly them to me. Just fly me in. I'll have spicy green beans at Din Tai Fun. It's amazeballs. All right, there you have it. Summit repossible.com. go check it out. It's going to happen in November, probably November 17th. I will be in the US by then, and we're gonna make this thing happen. So if you'd like to speak.
• 14:23
Come on, come on. Fill out the application. It's not just like a free for all and let's talk. All right. This has been Thursday Thunder. I have been. I, like people say, I have been Bradley Sharpeneau. I still am Bradley Sharpenow. And this has been Thursday Thunder and the Repossible podcast coming at you live from Driebergen in the Netherlands, where I will only be for two more months. Two more. Two, two. Two more. Two more months and counting. It's like now. It's like two months. I am out of here. I am going to miss this.
• 14:54
  I really am.
• 14:55
But, hey, we're on to our next adventure, so that's part of it. Clarity, courage, confidence. Big summits coming up in 2027. But first, the worst summit ever. Go to summit.repossible.com sign up to be a. A viewer. What do you call that person? A guest, a participant, a.
• 15:14
A whatever. I'm losing it. Come on, now. Come on, Babs. Let's head on home. Here we go now. All right, y'. All. As if I ever say so. Influenced by my son living in Texas with literally wearing a cowboy hat. It's like, what? All right. It's fun. Bye for now.
