- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's almost famous podcast. Today we are here with you
- 0:10Speaker 2: bringing you some very very I'm actually Ashley very excited
- 0:17Speaker 2: to talk to this person, because we're always excited to
- 0:22Speaker 2: talk to somebody new. But there's people that have captivated us,
- 0:26Speaker 2: people that I just want to know what they know.
- 0:31Speaker 3: That's what that is? This one, I just need to
- 0:33Speaker 3: know what she was in her brain.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I don't know if we'll get there, but we've had Letia,
- 0:38Speaker 2: Carolina and Grant for the most recent season on You
- 0:42Speaker 2: can go back and listen to those episodes. I'll tell
- 0:44Speaker 2: you they're interesting. All of them are interesting in their
- 0:49Speaker 2: own ways, some funny, some off the wall, some serious,
- 0:54Speaker 2: and some somewhat confusing. And today it's like we're getting
- 0:58Speaker 2: the final piece of this puzzle. Yes, our guest today is,
- 1:01Speaker 2: of course the woman that Grant chose lucky. Here we're
- 1:07Speaker 2: talking about Juliana. Juliana, welcome to the podcast.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Thanks for having me, guys, Juliana, welcome to the podcast
- 1:15Speaker 4: that rose Grant all the time. I'm I'm sure we're
- 1:17Speaker 4: not unique in that, and we are sorry. Ben was
- 1:20Speaker 4: the one who did the interview with him a couple
- 1:22Speaker 4: like about a month ago, and I was, I was,
- 1:26Speaker 4: And he was supposed to come on a couple.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Of weeks ago, like a week or so ago, and
- 1:30Speaker 3: he didn't show. Didn't show, So leave that to your imagination.
- 1:35Speaker 3: I think he didn't want to talk to me. I've
- 1:37Speaker 3: been hard than.
- 1:39Speaker 5: If you can't praise the critics, you can't do baby,
- 1:42Speaker 5: gotta take it.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, Juliana, you were on recently with Joe
- 1:48Speaker 4: and Serena, and there was a lingering question that I
- 1:52Speaker 4: certainly had after that, and that was.
- 1:57Speaker 3: What happened with the hotel.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Hell fight that you guys had after the final rowse
- 2:03Speaker 4: How did it get reconciled?
- 2:05Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay, I mean I think I think that I
- 2:11Speaker 5: probably like didn't provide enough context.
- 2:15Speaker 6: I think I was trying to answer a question.
- 2:16Speaker 3: And that's why we have you here.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Yeah, bit of like a roundabout way without spilling too
- 2:22Speaker 5: much tea, but giving some insight as to like when
- 2:25Speaker 5: I first started to have doubts. You know, we got
- 2:28Speaker 5: through that that argument. It was just like the moment
- 2:33Speaker 5: for me was like how is this happening to me?
- 2:36Speaker 1: Like?
- 2:36Speaker 5: How did I end up here? This morning I'm feeling alone.
- 2:40Speaker 5: You're kind of like creating that space and also making
- 2:45Speaker 5: me feel like I wasn't going to be supported. The
- 2:48Speaker 5: hotel fight was was really just you know that phrase,
- 2:53Speaker 5: I think I'm gonna butcher it. But it's like when
- 2:56Speaker 5: you're with somebody to the public, you'll always kind of
- 2:59Speaker 5: like pret them and stand up for them, but then
- 3:02Speaker 5: behind closed doors you can have those conversations and maybe
- 3:05Speaker 5: call them out for things that you need to. I
- 3:09Speaker 5: think that's what I was trying to do through a
- 3:11Speaker 5: lot of this, and so people, you know, didn't see
- 3:15Speaker 5: me holding him accountable or thought that we were ganging
- 3:17Speaker 5: up on Latia and creating this narrative, and I think
- 3:21Speaker 5: ultimately I was just in a protector mode for him,
- 3:24Speaker 5: and then behind closed doors, especially after the finale, and
- 3:28Speaker 5: when I was able to watch how he handled it
- 3:31Speaker 5: with Latia on stage because I saw the you know,
- 3:35Speaker 5: I already saw the final episode before the finale, it
- 3:39Speaker 5: was just how he handled it. I think that that's
- 3:42Speaker 5: what caused me a lot of frustration, was the lack
- 3:45Speaker 5: of accountability from him. I think she was a little
- 3:49Speaker 5: harsh if if that's just my opinion, but I think
- 3:53Speaker 5: he could have. I think he did the best he could,
- 3:55Speaker 5: but I think there was a little bit of lack
- 3:57Speaker 5: of accountability there. And then I kind of I kind
- 4:02Speaker 5: of came at him a little bit for it, and
- 4:04Speaker 5: I was really frustrated, and I was like, well, now
- 4:06Speaker 5: we have to do a you know, like we have
- 4:09Speaker 5: to carry that forward. And I would love for you
- 4:12Speaker 5: to hold yourself a little bit higher in the sense that,
- 4:16Speaker 5: you know, admitting where you went wrong and what you
- 4:19Speaker 5: said wrong and validating her feelings of feeling led on,
- 4:23Speaker 5: you know, and that just wasn't the way things were going.
- 4:28Speaker 6: So we were not on the same page.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Once the finale kind of aired, and yeah, that was
- 4:36Speaker 5: just like one piece of the puzzle.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I Ashley, can I can I just have a conversation
- 4:41Speaker 2: with Juliana for a second.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I just jumped right into it. So let's backtrack
- 4:46Speaker 4: or do whatever this is track?
- 4:49Speaker 2: Okay, this is just she's reminding me of stuff.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I mean, if anybody knows what it feels like to
- 4:59Speaker 2: lead some on this show, I think I would be
- 5:02Speaker 2: the one to say I did it best or worst? Yeah,
- 5:08Speaker 2: And I mean I can go both ways, right, Like
- 5:12Speaker 2: I did, I know I did I mean, that's exactly
- 5:14Speaker 2: what I did, and it was unfair to Jojo at
- 5:16Speaker 2: the time, but it did cause Lauren a lot of pain,
- 5:20Speaker 2: I think because she had to answer questions about it
- 5:24Speaker 2: for me, and I think when you are together, I
- 5:26Speaker 2: think you just said it. And I think that's what
- 5:27Speaker 2: reminded me is in the public you want to support
- 5:30Speaker 2: your partner. Behind closed doors, though, you need to hold
- 5:34Speaker 2: your partner accountable, and I remember many moments where she
- 5:38Speaker 2: would do that and there was a lot of like,
- 5:41Speaker 2: it's a weird conversation to have. I'm going off on
- 5:45Speaker 2: a tangent here, but you just reminded me of so
- 5:47Speaker 2: much during that time. It's a weird conversation to have
- 5:51Speaker 2: with the person that you're with to be like, hey,
- 5:55Speaker 2: you need to also be like more respectful to the
- 5:59Speaker 2: person that you broke up with when we were like
- 6:01Speaker 2: figuring this thing out, and I think at the time
- 6:04Speaker 2: it was really hard to process, like, Okay, how much
- 6:07Speaker 2: do I talk about with this with Lauren about you know, Jojo?
- 6:10Speaker 2: How much do I not talk about? What do I
- 6:12Speaker 2: say to Jojo? Do I send her a text to say, hey,
- 6:14Speaker 2: I'm sorry for how things went down? Is that inappropriate?
- 6:17Speaker 2: There was a lot there, but you need a partner
- 6:19Speaker 2: to kind of step in with you. I want to
- 6:22Speaker 2: go back a little bit though. I remember when I
- 6:25Speaker 2: first felt like Lauren was thrown off was like the
- 6:30Speaker 2: night after our proposal on the show. It was the
- 6:34Speaker 2: next day when we were like, She's like, okay, so
- 6:38Speaker 2: what do we do now? And I'm like, I don't
- 6:40Speaker 2: really know what we do now, Like I'm my middle
- 6:42Speaker 2: name is Edward, and here's my phone number, and I
- 6:46Speaker 2: hope this works. There was a lot happening, yeah, and
- 6:51Speaker 2: so can we go back to like next day for you?
- 6:54Speaker 2: It wasn't I expected this whole show to end in
- 6:57Speaker 2: this like fairy tale where the next morning you wake
- 6:59Speaker 2: up up and everybody's happy and you're like, look at
- 7:01Speaker 2: this beautiful thing that happened if in it, and I
- 7:04Speaker 2: know why it wasn't this way. It felt very opposite
- 7:07Speaker 2: of that. It felt very much like, okay, now let's
- 7:10Speaker 2: get to know each other.
- 7:12Speaker 6: M hm.
- 7:13Speaker 2: And also, can you explain to me how this thing
- 7:15Speaker 2: all worked out at the end, because I don't think
- 7:18Speaker 2: it was as like clean cut as what I think.
- 7:20Speaker 2: You know, she was away for a lot of it,
- 7:22Speaker 2: so I had to explain the whole thing to her.
- 7:24Speaker 6: Yeah, it's hard. I don't know what they don't know right.
- 7:27Speaker 5: So then it's a lot of backtracking, and it's a
- 7:29Speaker 5: lot of having to revisit weird things, and you know,
- 7:35Speaker 5: I think in some ways it brought Grant and I
- 7:37Speaker 5: a lot closer because I think I don't know where
- 7:42Speaker 5: he said it. And I have to admit I don't
- 7:44Speaker 5: usually listen to like any of the podcasts he does,
- 7:48Speaker 5: unless if somebody says, you know, he was talking about
- 7:51Speaker 5: me in some way. But I think we've been pretty
- 7:52Speaker 5: respectful in that sense. Maybe me not so much, but
- 7:55Speaker 5: I will say, like he said something recently along the
- 7:59Speaker 5: line of like he would have been a little bit
- 8:02Speaker 5: more stern with production now.
- 8:05Speaker 6: I think that there's twofold to that.
- 8:07Speaker 5: I think that if you don't know yourself well enough,
- 8:11Speaker 5: how can you really stay strong and true to who
- 8:13Speaker 5: you are throughout that process?
- 8:15Speaker 6: I think it can get messy.
- 8:17Speaker 5: And I think that for me, the Grant I met
- 8:22Speaker 5: and kind of fell and that did fall in love
- 8:24Speaker 5: with in the show. Shortly after we kind of got
- 8:27Speaker 5: back from all of this, I was quick to find
- 8:30Speaker 5: out it was a very different Grant in the outside world, and.
- 8:35Speaker 6: I think that I did.
- 8:37Speaker 5: You know, I fell in love with the basis of
- 8:38Speaker 5: who I thought he was and what was presented to me,
- 8:41Speaker 5: and I still care for that person deeply, But in
- 8:44Speaker 5: terms of it being a long lasting relationship, I think
- 8:48Speaker 5: I was struggling to get to that point once we
- 8:52Speaker 5: were really getting to know each other. I mean, I
- 8:56Speaker 5: don't he could say the same about me, but I
- 9:00Speaker 5: I mean, I would like to think that, at least
- 9:02Speaker 5: from what my friends and family have told me from
- 9:04Speaker 5: watching it, like they thought that I was pretty true
- 9:07Speaker 5: to who I was, And I think afterwards my walls
- 9:10Speaker 5: went up really high, really fast, because I was like, whoa,
- 9:15Speaker 5: I don't know this person, you know, Like I was
- 9:17Speaker 5: kind of like, shuck a little bit.
- 9:20Speaker 4: You don't have to spill your gods, but like, can
- 9:22Speaker 4: you give us an example as to how he's different
- 9:25Speaker 4: in real life?
- 9:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I think he's like I say this
- 9:29Speaker 5: not in a mean way, but I think you guys
- 9:31Speaker 5: might understand he's a little aloof you know, he's kind
- 9:35Speaker 5: of a little like not like super clear direction. And
- 9:41Speaker 5: that's okay, you know, it's not a negative thing per se.
- 9:44Speaker 5: But I think we had talked about things we wanted
- 9:47Speaker 5: to do, places we wanted to go together, foundations we
- 9:51Speaker 5: wanted to represent. Like I thought we kind of had
- 9:54Speaker 5: a bit of a clear picture of like the magic
- 9:56Speaker 5: we could make together as a couple, and like really
- 9:59Speaker 5: resonated on the same things and then coming out of it,
- 10:03Speaker 5: you know, it was like one day he wanted to
- 10:04Speaker 5: make music, the next day he wasn't going to be
- 10:06Speaker 5: an artist, but then he was still going to release it.
- 10:08Speaker 5: And then he wanted to do a dating app, and
- 10:11Speaker 5: then he wanted to have his you know, marketing class.
- 10:14Speaker 5: And I was having a hard time following following it,
- 10:17Speaker 5: you know, and feeling like included in his life's path
- 10:21Speaker 5: to you know, spread this mission that you can do
- 10:25Speaker 5: it all and be in a relationship. But I was like, Hi,
- 10:28Speaker 5: you have to pay attention to me. If you want
- 10:30Speaker 5: me a part of this, you have to include me.
- 10:33Speaker 6: You know.
- 10:33Speaker 5: And and I think he was just you scatterbrained a
- 10:36Speaker 5: little bit. And maybe that's because he went through what
- 10:39Speaker 5: he went through. And I mean, listen, it took me
- 10:41Speaker 5: a minute to kind of come down from like the
- 10:44Speaker 5: mess of everything that happened too. But I think I
- 10:47Speaker 5: still feel that with him, you know now and maybe
- 10:50Speaker 5: that's just.
- 10:50Speaker 6: Who he is.
- 10:51Speaker 2: And I mean, you're you're giving him a lot of grace,
- 10:55Speaker 2: and you should because it is a wild time. You
- 10:58Speaker 2: go from zero to one hundred, and I think you
- 11:03Speaker 2: need to find people to ground you in that. And
- 11:05Speaker 2: I would think somebody like you who ends up with
- 11:08Speaker 2: it from the show would be that grounding source to
- 11:11Speaker 2: speak into him and be like, hey, let's let's cut
- 11:16Speaker 2: out some things, or let's add some things, or where
- 11:18Speaker 2: are we trying to go with this? I mean, that's
- 11:19Speaker 2: kind of what a partner, you know, is for in
- 11:22Speaker 2: a lot of ways when it comes to your professional
- 11:24Speaker 2: life and lifestyle. There was and I think out of
- 11:29Speaker 2: everything that's been said, there wasn't a comment. I felt
- 11:34Speaker 2: like I read preparing for this and I don't know
- 11:38Speaker 2: the exact line, but I felt like this would have
- 11:41Speaker 2: been a big red flag for me. This never happened
- 11:44Speaker 2: in my two seasons on the show with Caitlin or
- 11:47Speaker 2: you know, when I was the Bachelor. Was there was
- 11:50Speaker 2: this comment made shortly after about kind of like being
- 11:53Speaker 2: famous from this. I think that he made he said
- 11:56Speaker 2: something along along the lines of like, you know, we're
- 12:00Speaker 2: going to kind of get a lot of attention from
- 12:02Speaker 2: this and all that. To me, that feels like the
- 12:05Speaker 2: last thing you should be thinking about. It felt it
- 12:09Speaker 2: feels distracting from the relationship at hand. Did you feel
- 12:14Speaker 2: that way totally?
- 12:16Speaker 5: I mean, I think that that is kind of what
- 12:18Speaker 5: I meant when I said in the last podcast I
- 12:21Speaker 5: did about like it always being about the optics.
- 12:24Speaker 6: You know.
- 12:24Speaker 5: I think I did my best to support him because
- 12:28Speaker 5: I like had the support system and I was able
- 12:31Speaker 5: to kind of work through it and he was getting
- 12:33Speaker 5: a lot of heat, and so I think like through
- 12:35Speaker 5: it all, I was like, Okay, let's just get through this.
- 12:38Speaker 5: You know, I can be there to support him, I
- 12:39Speaker 5: can try and guide him. And then after when that
- 12:43Speaker 5: still continued, and I was like, hello, you're not like
- 12:47Speaker 5: including me in anything I can't You're not listening to me,
- 12:50Speaker 5: You're not hearing what I'm saying, and it's all about
- 12:53Speaker 5: the optics. It's all like talking him off a ledge
- 12:56Speaker 5: about somebody who made a comment that was like hurtful
- 12:59Speaker 5: and you know, the Tyler Cameron issue that they had,
- 13:04Speaker 5: Like I remember that just being like like deep down,
- 13:08Speaker 5: like the one of the hardest two weeks for me,
- 13:11Speaker 5: because I was just talking him off a ledge every
- 13:14Speaker 5: three hours, and I was like, you've got to just
- 13:16Speaker 5: let it go. But you know, I have to give
- 13:20Speaker 5: him grace because it is so hard when the world
- 13:24Speaker 5: it feels like the world is coming at you. And
- 13:26Speaker 5: that's how I felt after the finale, like aired, and
- 13:31Speaker 5: I was hoping for like his support the way I
- 13:34Speaker 5: supported him, and it wasn't. It was about the optics,
- 13:37Speaker 5: and it was about what people are going to think,
- 13:38Speaker 5: and if we break up, they're going to think this,
- 13:40Speaker 5: and if we stay together, they're going to think that.
- 13:42Speaker 6: And I'm like, I don't care.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Yeah, that's like what when you said on the other
- 13:47Speaker 4: podcast that he was writing statements after your fights how
- 13:51Speaker 4: to announce your breakup?
- 13:52Speaker 3: A day after after the final rose.
- 13:55Speaker 5: I literally rolled over and he was in the bed
- 13:57Speaker 5: and he's like, Hagen morning, like did you make a
- 13:59Speaker 5: decision because I've come up with some options, and.
- 14:01Speaker 6: I was like, are you serious right now? I was like,
- 14:05Speaker 6: don't talk to me.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I have so many questions they're just bubbling up.
- 14:21Speaker 4: So first got to address how you felt when you
- 14:25Speaker 4: found out that he had been leading Letia on like
- 14:29Speaker 4: that to the point where he was like, you're the
- 14:30Speaker 4: one you're the one over and over and over again.
- 14:33Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, listen, I think it was.
- 14:36Speaker 5: I think they had their first like one on one
- 14:39Speaker 5: date night the second episode, and I was in Florida
- 14:43Speaker 5: and I called him and I was I was crying
- 14:45Speaker 5: and because I saw the chemistry, you know, when they
- 14:48Speaker 5: look so cute, and I was like, I literally said,
- 14:51Speaker 5: would you have picked her if she wasn't Mormon? Because
- 14:54Speaker 5: I knew that that was something that was like he
- 14:56Speaker 5: was struggling with towards the end, and I was like, seriously,
- 15:00Speaker 5: would you because I can see it and I feel
- 15:01Speaker 5: it and I'm I'm having anxiety over it. And he
- 15:05Speaker 5: was like, no, you know that's that wasn't the main thing.
- 15:09Speaker 5: And I was like, okay, so I let it go.
- 15:10Speaker 5: And I think it's so hard because I think there
- 15:18Speaker 5: is a lot of like pushing him one way and
- 15:24Speaker 5: he wasn't strong enough and how he really wanted to
- 15:27Speaker 5: feel to kind of stick up to that, and I
- 15:29Speaker 5: think he kind of is a bit of a people pleaser,
- 15:32Speaker 5: and I know he had feelings for Latia, you know,
- 15:35Speaker 5: So I think that that was he was grappling with
- 15:39Speaker 5: all of that and struggling to communicate the way he
- 15:42Speaker 5: should have. But like you know, I think I was
- 15:46Speaker 5: frustrated with her anger towards it, because when I say,
- 15:50Speaker 5: I wasn't shocked with things she said, like he gave
- 15:53Speaker 5: me a notebook that he said something very similar to
- 15:56Speaker 5: me her He brought up engagement the night, but to
- 16:00Speaker 5: me in a similar way that he did to her.
- 16:02Speaker 5: And in my eyes, I could sense that he was
- 16:05Speaker 5: a little bit free flowing with what was you know,
- 16:09Speaker 5: prompted for him. And I think that I didn't take
- 16:12Speaker 5: it to heart. I just I didn't put all my
- 16:14Speaker 5: eggs in the basket because I was like, I'm not
- 16:17Speaker 5: sure if this is him or if this is Like
- 16:21Speaker 5: I knew he was honest about his feelings, but I
- 16:23Speaker 5: just didn't know to the magnitude of the validity towards
- 16:26Speaker 5: the end, like what it really meant.
- 16:29Speaker 6: And I didn't know if I was getting let on.
- 16:31Speaker 5: So I think it was just all around hard for
- 16:34Speaker 5: me to see it happen to somebody else, because then
- 16:38Speaker 5: it was her emotions that he had to deal with,
- 16:42Speaker 5: you know, And I didn't feel like he was doing
- 16:43Speaker 5: a good job with it. And I was frustrated with
- 16:46Speaker 5: Lysia because I felt like she counted me out and
- 16:50Speaker 5: took everything he said as if we were not on
- 16:52Speaker 5: a dating show where there was other women involved and
- 16:55Speaker 5: it was her way or not her way and shoot,
- 16:58Speaker 5: and I feel bad that I feel that way, but
- 17:01Speaker 5: we looked at it two different ways, so I don't
- 17:04Speaker 5: know it.
- 17:04Speaker 6: It was hard. It was it was all around herd.
- 17:06Speaker 5: I was frustrated with myself and him and her and
- 17:08Speaker 5: production and everything.
- 17:11Speaker 2: And I mean, from my experience during this, you know,
- 17:16Speaker 2: Grant did have two incredible people at the end, and
- 17:19Speaker 2: I would always make the argument that so did I,
- 17:21Speaker 2: and that's why it was so hard. Like those you're
- 17:27Speaker 2: in an environment where you're like, how am I supposed
- 17:29Speaker 2: to say goodbye to somebody so awesome? And how do
- 17:32Speaker 2: I make them know how special this was for me
- 17:35Speaker 2: even though I'm going to be saying goodbye to them,
- 17:37Speaker 2: And it doesn't make sense on why and you don't.
- 17:39Speaker 2: It sounds so simple now looking back and explaining it,
- 17:43Speaker 2: but at the time, you're like, I don't know how
- 17:44Speaker 2: to make sense of this personally. I have always said, I,
- 17:49Speaker 2: you know, I wish Lauren Jojo, you Letia Grant all
- 17:54Speaker 2: these people. When you're in a situation like this, I
- 17:57Speaker 2: do wish there was the understanding of, hey, yeah, I can't.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I'm not gonna be able to explain why I did
- 18:02Speaker 2: what I did. It doesn't make sense to me and
- 18:04Speaker 2: it won't make sense to you, and so let's just
- 18:07Speaker 2: start now. Can we just like clean slate, say I'm sorry,
- 18:11Speaker 2: this is messed up? Did it feel and that's where
- 18:15Speaker 2: my question leagues, did it feel like Grant wanted that?
- 18:18Speaker 2: Though it kind of felt like it was never this like, hey,
- 18:20Speaker 2: can we put a steak in the ground. I'm sorry
- 18:23Speaker 2: for all the pain, I'm sorry for all the confusion.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Can we put a steak in the ground? Will you
- 18:28Speaker 2: give me that as a partner and just say, can
- 18:30Speaker 2: we walk past the steak and move forward together as
- 18:32Speaker 2: a couple? Or did it always feel like this lingering
- 18:36Speaker 2: thing that they almost didn't want to go away.
- 18:39Speaker 6: For me and him?
- 18:40Speaker 5: I think, especially the day after the finale when we
- 18:43Speaker 5: sat through all that press and literally all of the
- 18:46Speaker 5: questions had to do with Letia, I think that that's
- 18:49Speaker 5: just how our relationship started.
- 18:51Speaker 6: And I don't know that there's a way to get around.
- 18:53Speaker 1: That with.
- 18:55Speaker 5: The fuel that was added to the fire by him
- 18:58Speaker 5: maybe not just owning up to it to the full extent.
- 19:02Speaker 5: I mean, I think that he did the best he could,
- 19:05Speaker 5: you know. I think that he was also frustrated and
- 19:07Speaker 5: didn't want her to paint him to be He didn't
- 19:11Speaker 5: want her to paint him to be this like awful
- 19:14Speaker 5: person with this intent to lead her on and then
- 19:16Speaker 5: screw her over. But that is like the basis of
- 19:18Speaker 5: the show, you know, like that someone's gonna get hurt,
- 19:22Speaker 5: and I think that they're like, I just don't I
- 19:25Speaker 5: don't think we could have gotten over it. And I
- 19:27Speaker 5: think it was lingering, especially because that's what people in
- 19:30Speaker 5: the comments were saying.
- 19:31Speaker 6: That's what the videos on TikTok were saying.
- 19:34Speaker 5: It was all Latia leading on him not taking accountability
- 19:37Speaker 5: and then me having.
- 19:38Speaker 6: To talk him off a ledge over the girl he hurt,
- 19:41Speaker 6: you know. So I just don't know it.
- 19:44Speaker 5: I don't think that he intended to not get over it.
- 19:46Speaker 5: I just don't know that it was possible with the
- 19:48Speaker 5: way everything happened.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I need to know about your family and what
- 19:54Speaker 4: they thought about him when you got off the show,
- 19:57Speaker 4: and then how they helped you deal with the break
- 19:59Speaker 4: up and like the lead up to the breakup, because
- 20:02Speaker 4: your family was so involved, and I loved seeing your family.
- 20:05Speaker 3: You could just tell how close.
- 20:06Speaker 2: To your family. Your family's probably and if somebody said,
- 20:09Speaker 2: what's your top three most memorable things from that season,
- 20:13Speaker 2: your family would be one of them for me. And
- 20:14Speaker 2: I don't they just they kind of reminded me of
- 20:17Speaker 2: my wife's family. Very Italian, like I'm not. They're very loud,
- 20:24Speaker 2: and they're very direct fact and I love it now
- 20:28Speaker 2: because I know when they are happy with me and not.
- 20:30Speaker 2: But yeah, your family was great.
- 20:33Speaker 5: Thank you. That really does mean the world to me.
- 20:35Speaker 5: I mean, they've just been so supportive. They've just been
- 20:40Speaker 5: so helpful in every aspect you could think about. You know,
- 20:43Speaker 5: when I need to vent and yell, I'll call my mom.
- 20:47Speaker 5: When I need somebody to calm me down, I'll call
- 20:49Speaker 5: my dad. When I want to laugh, I'll call my sister.
- 20:52Speaker 6: And when I'm freaking out and I don't know what
- 20:54Speaker 6: to do, I'll call my brother, you know, and.
- 20:57Speaker 3: So so wonderful.
- 20:58Speaker 6: Yeah, just like being able to have that.
- 21:01Speaker 5: You know, I think I talked to my brother a
- 21:03Speaker 5: lot when I was feeling iffy about Grant.
- 21:05Speaker 6: Yeah, and just because he was honest.
- 21:09Speaker 5: You know, I think my mom and my dad and
- 21:12Speaker 5: my sister wanted to make sure that I was okay,
- 21:17Speaker 5: but in a way that was like protecting me from
- 21:20Speaker 5: the public. I think they were just like, just get
- 21:22Speaker 5: through it, you know, afterwards, when this is all done airing,
- 21:25Speaker 5: like then maybe you can have a different perspective on him,
- 21:28Speaker 5: and you guys can really get to know each other
- 21:30Speaker 5: and blah blah blah.
- 21:31Speaker 6: Think they wanted me to get through it. My brother
- 21:36Speaker 6: was the opposite.
- 21:36Speaker 5: My brother was like, if you're feeling like this, like
- 21:39Speaker 5: listen to yourself, listen to your gut, you know, don't
- 21:43Speaker 5: do anything to please anybody else, and you know yourself
- 21:46Speaker 5: well enough. So I think my brother pushed me in
- 21:49Speaker 5: all the right ways to break up with him.
- 21:52Speaker 6: I think.
- 21:54Speaker 5: After the breakup, that's when I think I was like
- 21:58Speaker 5: I really needed my parents, Like I just I don't know,
- 22:02Speaker 5: I've just I would never wish a public breakup like
- 22:05Speaker 5: to that degree on anybody. It's so hard and it's
- 22:08Speaker 5: so sad, and I was so sad about everything. I
- 22:13Speaker 5: just was crying like all day every day for like
- 22:15Speaker 5: two weeks, and I like left to go to Florida
- 22:17Speaker 5: and stay with my aunt, and I was like help me,
- 22:20Speaker 5: and then they would go to work all day and
- 22:22Speaker 5: I'd just like be like crying in the sunshine.
- 22:24Speaker 6: But I'm like, at least I'm getting.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Tan, you know.
- 22:26Speaker 5: He's trying to soak in like any sort of positive
- 22:30Speaker 5: around me.
- 22:31Speaker 2: It's so hard. Yeah, it's so hard to do a
- 22:33Speaker 2: public breakup. I've shared this story before, but when Laura
- 22:37Speaker 2: and I broke up, we went our separate ways, like immediately,
- 22:41Speaker 2: she kind of like grabbed her stuff and left, which
- 22:43Speaker 2: was for them.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Never saw each other again, well.
- 22:46Speaker 2: No, kind of, Well we really haven't. I've seen her
- 22:48Speaker 2: husband many times.
- 22:49Speaker 3: It's great, but he cast the husband.
- 22:52Speaker 2: It's hilarious, it buddy, uh. But I we both ended up.
- 22:56Speaker 2: We didn't tell each other we were going. We went
- 22:58Speaker 2: to New York City. I was there on a work
- 23:01Speaker 2: trip and she went with a friend and I ran
- 23:04Speaker 2: into her like three days after our breakup, randomly on
- 23:07Speaker 2: the street corner and I sprinted like away, like I
- 23:12Speaker 2: ran out a direction. I was so nervous. I didn't
- 23:15Speaker 2: want to see her. It was so hard, and there
- 23:17Speaker 2: was so much opinion out there. But sometimes and I think,
- 23:22Speaker 2: I mean, I want to speak for Lauren here during this,
- 23:25Speaker 2: but our breakup was a long time coming. We had
- 23:29Speaker 2: a lot of respect for each other and we still
- 23:31Speaker 2: do to this day. But it was a weightlifted when
- 23:34Speaker 2: we finally said, Okay, this is done, like we know it.
- 23:39Speaker 2: I don't know how we're going to do this. A
- 23:40Speaker 2: lot of things are going to be said, but this
- 23:43Speaker 2: is over. Let's just, you know, rip the band aid
- 23:46Speaker 2: off and move forward to the best we can. So
- 23:50Speaker 2: it was a weightlifted. It doesn't sound like it felt
- 23:52Speaker 2: like a weightlifted to you, though.
- 23:55Speaker 6: It did end.
- 23:56Speaker 5: I mean, listen, I think before we announced it, we'd
- 23:59Speaker 5: been broken up maybe for like a few weeks personally,
- 24:04Speaker 5: you know, and he had come to Aruba with me
- 24:08Speaker 5: and my friends and my family, and that was like
- 24:11Speaker 5: the hardest week ever for him and me.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Were you broken up or not?
- 24:16Speaker 6: We were broken up?
- 24:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and you went to Aruba. M So you went
- 24:20Speaker 3: as friends? Yeah.
- 24:22Speaker 5: I think it was like he loved my family and
- 24:26Speaker 5: my friends and I didn't want him to feel isolated
- 24:28Speaker 5: from that because him and I couldn't be together.
- 24:31Speaker 6: But I also.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Time out hold up this, I know, was it because
- 24:37Speaker 4: the trip was just booked.
- 24:38Speaker 5: The trip was booked and he ended up leaving early
- 24:41Speaker 5: you know. I mean, I think it was like he
- 24:43Speaker 5: just he couldn't do it, and it makes sense and
- 24:45Speaker 5: it was fair. But I think you have to understand,
- 24:50Speaker 5: like before we broke up, because I broke up with him,
- 24:54Speaker 5: you know, I think we were drifting a bit naturally.
- 24:59Speaker 6: But he still talked to my parents.
- 25:01Speaker 5: He you know, he still talked to my brother in
- 25:03Speaker 5: law and my best friend's fiance who does music, like
- 25:08Speaker 5: they were trying to get into the studio down in Florida,
- 25:11Speaker 5: and I was like, listen, bro, like, my people are
- 25:14Speaker 5: your people. I care about him. You know, I'm not
- 25:17Speaker 5: going to sit here and say he's a horrible guy.
- 25:18Speaker 5: That's the one thing that I just like, I hate
- 25:20Speaker 5: when people say because he doesn't doesn't mean bad.
- 25:24Speaker 6: He's just a loose you know.
- 25:25Speaker 3: I think that's also what we've been putting out there.
- 25:28Speaker 4: I said that we roast him, which we do, but
- 25:31Speaker 4: it's all out of him being aloof and not about
- 25:34Speaker 4: him being like bad.
- 25:36Speaker 6: Totally.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Yeah, And.
- 25:39Speaker 5: You know, I think he's been through so much in
- 25:42Speaker 5: life and he is like a soldier for staying strong
- 25:46Speaker 5: through it all and being a support to his family.
- 25:49Speaker 5: I wanted him to feel supported. I didn't want him
- 25:51Speaker 5: to feel alone, you know. And I knew the breakup
- 25:55Speaker 5: was going to be hard on him. And I didn't
- 25:56Speaker 5: know if he was like I was his person that
- 25:59Speaker 5: was helping him get through the season. I didn't know
- 26:02Speaker 5: who he had, you know, and I didn't want him
- 26:04Speaker 5: to be alone. That made me sad. And so I
- 26:08Speaker 5: think like it wasn't a weight off my shoulders because
- 26:11Speaker 5: I cared about him, and I was really uncertain about
- 26:16Speaker 5: how I felt like the person that I fell in
- 26:19Speaker 5: love with and that I knew like just like didn't
- 26:22Speaker 5: care about me in the way, like couldn't support me.
- 26:26Speaker 5: And I just I think I was down on myself.
- 26:28Speaker 5: I like I felt like I did myself dirty, you know.
- 26:33Speaker 5: And I in my head, all I could think was like,
- 26:36Speaker 5: come on now, Juliana, like get it together, Like you know,
- 26:39Speaker 5: you're smarter than this. You should have seen these red flags.
- 26:42Speaker 5: You should have picked up on these things. And I
- 26:45Speaker 5: and then now even to this day, like I feel
- 26:48Speaker 5: like it's this weird. When he went on when and
- 26:51Speaker 5: did his own podcast and said, like, you know, we
- 26:53Speaker 5: hadn't spoke and he didn't talk to my family. It
- 26:56Speaker 5: was like we broke up and he flew out to
- 27:00Speaker 5: show up to my fashion show without telling me and
- 27:04Speaker 5: because of the optics, And I'm like, so, don't sit
- 27:07Speaker 5: there and create this narrative that like I iced you out,
- 27:09Speaker 5: because that was the complete opposite of anything I was
- 27:12Speaker 5: ever trying to do to you and my family.
- 27:15Speaker 6: We would never do that.
- 27:27Speaker 2: I guess my curiosity is when did I mean, maybe
- 27:30Speaker 2: it hasn't so you have, but when did it start
- 27:33Speaker 2: to feel easier for you? I think I remember, well,
- 27:38Speaker 2: you know, we're trying to track like right after the breakup,
- 27:42Speaker 2: like how you both were feeling and I and tell
- 27:44Speaker 2: me if I'm wrong, and I just like dreamt this
- 27:46Speaker 2: because that can happen too. But I felt like there
- 27:49Speaker 2: was like an instagram that he did where he pretty
- 27:51Speaker 2: much said in some way or another like I don't
- 27:55Speaker 2: like miss you, or like I'm not like this isn't
- 27:59Speaker 2: hard for me, or something that's right that.
- 28:02Speaker 6: Yes, wasn't heartbroken.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's what it was. I wasn't heartbroken.
- 28:07Speaker 6: I am like, I don't know. That was like the
- 28:10Speaker 6: weirdest thing ever.
- 28:12Speaker 5: I think that that was again back to the aloof thing.
- 28:16Speaker 5: I think he was trying to come off this tough
- 28:20Speaker 5: didn't care about at your opinion, what you're saying vibes
- 28:24Speaker 5: I'm not heartbroken, like because he was butt hurt that
- 28:27Speaker 5: I broke up with him, you know, I think that
- 28:29Speaker 5: that was where that came from. But on such a
- 28:34Speaker 5: when you have such a following of people that like
- 28:36Speaker 5: are so curious and we're not giving them anything about
- 28:38Speaker 5: the breakup and you say you're not heartbroken.
- 28:40Speaker 6: Like, I was like, was he not?
- 28:44Speaker 2: You know?
- 28:44Speaker 5: Because I was like I am, and I'm so sad
- 28:47Speaker 5: and I'm like, you know, sitting here crying and you're
- 28:50Speaker 5: telling people that you don't even care about the breakup.
- 28:53Speaker 5: I was like it just it felt so hot and
- 28:55Speaker 5: cold all the time, like I was having a really
- 28:57Speaker 5: hard time understand standing him. True this day, I still am.
- 29:02Speaker 5: And that was I think explains kind of what I
- 29:04Speaker 5: mean when I say aloof like I just quit.
- 29:06Speaker 6: I can't figure him out, Yeah, if anybody can.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Yeah, But that I mean from based on what you
- 29:12Speaker 2: were saying, like, hey, you didn't know who else he had.
- 29:14Speaker 2: You're trying to be there for him even though this
- 29:16Speaker 2: breakup happened and it was done, You're still trying to
- 29:19Speaker 2: be a support And that's a heavy weight to carry
- 29:23Speaker 2: for somebody, especially that had just recently gotten out of
- 29:26Speaker 2: this relationship. When did it feel When did you finally say, hey,
- 29:30Speaker 2: I can't, like I don't know what to do here,
- 29:32Speaker 2: so I'm just going to move on and he has
- 29:34Speaker 2: to figure this out on his own.
- 29:39Speaker 6: Honestly, it was pretty recently.
- 29:41Speaker 5: I will say I think that I, you know, I
- 29:45Speaker 5: have people online sending me his stuff, or when he
- 29:48Speaker 5: was doing podcasts and so was I and even Litia
- 29:52Speaker 5: doing podcasts. I think like for me, it was just
- 29:57Speaker 5: maybe honestly last month, it was like I was kind
- 30:00Speaker 5: of like, wow, I haven't thought about him in a minute,
- 30:04Speaker 5: you know, And I think I was seeing things maybe
- 30:07Speaker 5: online that he was kind of seeming like he was
- 30:09Speaker 5: doing well, and I was like it kind of made
- 30:12Speaker 5: me be able to breathe a little bit and just
- 30:14Speaker 5: be like, he's okay, he's not my problem, like not
- 30:19Speaker 5: the you know what I mean, but like and.
- 30:23Speaker 6: He's going to be okay.
- 30:24Speaker 5: So then I was like, Okay, now I can focus
- 30:26Speaker 5: on my healing and like getting myself back on my feet.
- 30:32Speaker 5: And so I started therapy again, and I started working
- 30:35Speaker 5: out again and hanging out with my friends and now
- 30:39Speaker 5: I'm having having a time with life again.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Are you dating?
- 30:43Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 30:43Speaker 4: I am like, you're like dating someone that you like.
- 30:47Speaker 3: I can tell.
- 30:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I am seeing somebody I got amazing.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Yeah, it's it's new, but it's fun and it's flirty,
- 30:57Speaker 5: and I like that, you know, I like I think
- 31:01Speaker 5: that coming out of that, like it was so hard
- 31:05Speaker 5: that I think I've been taking things really really slow again,
- 31:09Speaker 5: and it put me back a little bit into my
- 31:11Speaker 5: old like I hate men vibe and I don't like
- 31:14Speaker 5: I'm not a man hater. I'm not a woman hater, like,
- 31:17Speaker 5: and so I think now I was like, let me
- 31:19Speaker 5: just give this guy a shot. He's like blown me
- 31:21Speaker 5: up for like three straight months NonStop, and I've been
- 31:25Speaker 5: like ghosting him, and I was like, you know what's
- 31:27Speaker 5: through it? You're cute, So we're going to hang out.
- 31:32Speaker 3: I love it.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Yay?
- 31:33Speaker 3: Is he could be her New Year's date?
- 31:35Speaker 6: Yes, he's coming here for New Years?
- 31:37Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, congratulations already.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Well, so the other question I have, I must ask
- 31:45Speaker 4: that's such a weird thing to say, but we had
- 31:48Speaker 4: Carolina on the podcast a couple of weeks ago, and she.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Was an absolute hoot and she was like.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Her.
- 31:56Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, really very very entertaining, and she was like,
- 32:01Speaker 4: I was not the villain of my season.
- 32:03Speaker 3: And we were like, okay, well then who was? She
- 32:05Speaker 3: goes Juliana me.
- 32:12Speaker 6: Like some reasoning because it was mean, because I think that.
- 32:16Speaker 3: You like called her out.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Yeah, like okay, I'm sorry that we can't handle conflict
- 32:22Speaker 5: in our years of life. I mean, listen, I think
- 32:26Speaker 5: that that was my last straw. I definitely had had
- 32:29Speaker 5: maybe a few glasses of wine that night, but I
- 32:32Speaker 5: was over.
- 32:33Speaker 6: We all suffered through it.
- 32:35Speaker 5: It was all we were talking about in interviews in
- 32:38Speaker 5: our couch mornings, and like her passing of like not
- 32:42Speaker 5: wanting to participate and then being a grouch.
- 32:45Speaker 6: I was like, why are you here?
- 32:47Speaker 4: She said, you about poking the bear always I was
- 32:50Speaker 4: poking the bear, as in like I guess she's the bear, right.
- 32:53Speaker 6: Oh yeah, listen, I'm not I'm not a poker.
- 32:56Speaker 5: I have to say, like, I did my very very
- 32:59Speaker 5: damn best to stay in my own lane, and they
- 33:02Speaker 5: of course caught me swerving and if unfortunately I swerved
- 33:09Speaker 5: into Carolina's lane and then through this shit, I'm going
- 33:12Speaker 5: back to my lane because I don't want any part
- 33:14Speaker 5: of that and someone said one time, I forget who
- 33:18Speaker 5: it was that they were, like, production can't make you
- 33:21Speaker 5: look like an asshole if you're not an asshole. So
- 33:24Speaker 5: like they if they had clips of her being an asshole,
- 33:29Speaker 5: it was because she was being an asshole, you know,
- 33:31Speaker 5: and not saying that that makes her a villain, Like,
- 33:33Speaker 5: I'm sure she's a lovely human, but.
- 33:36Speaker 6: Like, you know, maybe you just should have gone.
- 33:40Speaker 5: Home because you did felt no good staying and being
- 33:44Speaker 5: a grump and talking about the lead that you were
- 33:46Speaker 5: trying to date, and then being upset when.
- 33:47Speaker 6: He sent you home.
- 33:49Speaker 2: I love that you just said production can't make you
- 33:52Speaker 2: look like something unless you are something, because I that's
- 33:55Speaker 2: always been my argument is, Hey, they've definitely messed over
- 34:00Speaker 2: a few we could probably name those. However, for the
- 34:03Speaker 2: most part, when you do the things you do and
- 34:06Speaker 2: it's shown back on television you don't like the way
- 34:08Speaker 2: it looks, you might want to ask yourself, like, was
- 34:12Speaker 2: I and the wrong there? And what can I learn
- 34:14Speaker 2: from that? Which obviously you just said it. I think
- 34:18Speaker 2: it's awesome that you're back out dating. It takes some
- 34:21Speaker 2: people longer, but I think one of the best things
- 34:23Speaker 2: to do after something like this is to get back
- 34:25Speaker 2: out there again and to figure out what you're looking
- 34:28Speaker 2: for and a partner. I also love that you're back
- 34:32Speaker 2: in therapy. I think therapy was huge for me as
- 34:35Speaker 2: I tried to process this weird thing that I came through.
- 34:38Speaker 2: I'm sure at some point, though, therapy is going to
- 34:41Speaker 2: encourage you to reconcile. That seems to be a thing
- 34:44Speaker 2: in therapy is reconciliation and forgiveness. From the conversation we've had,
- 34:48Speaker 2: it doesn't feel like you have any Harbord like anger
- 34:51Speaker 2: towards Grant. You're just it's over, it's done, You've moved on.
- 34:55Speaker 2: But there's still and Carolina you didn't really probably even
- 34:58Speaker 2: think of until Ashley just brought her up and you're like, oh, yeah,
- 35:00Speaker 2: that girl that I had that thing with her. But
- 35:04Speaker 2: Latilla is still going to be this thing that like
- 35:07Speaker 2: sits over you, and it's going to be brought up
- 35:09Speaker 2: to you in conversations and interviews and on the streets
- 35:12Speaker 2: when fans stop you. Is there a chance in this
- 35:16Speaker 2: new year that you look to reconcile, maybe not to
- 35:20Speaker 2: build a front like the best friendship, but to reconcile
- 35:23Speaker 2: something with Latia After the months that have passed.
- 35:25Speaker 5: Now totally, I mean, listen, I think it would only
- 35:30Speaker 5: be good for me, and hopefully it would be good
- 35:34Speaker 5: for her. I think holding on to such negative emotions
- 35:39Speaker 5: around the whole thing and having it be a topic
- 35:41Speaker 5: of conversation it is hard for I'm sure her too.
- 35:45Speaker 5: I would love for it to be over and done with.
- 35:49Speaker 5: And I don't know what the hesitancy is on my
- 35:53Speaker 5: end to reach out. Maybe it's because I'm still hurt
- 35:56Speaker 5: from it and I need to get over that before
- 36:00Speaker 5: or I try and mend the bridge. I don't like
- 36:02Speaker 5: to be fake. I don't like to just, you know, apologize,
- 36:07Speaker 5: to apologize. I would want to mean it, you know,
- 36:09Speaker 5: and I would, really and I do. I feel bad
- 36:12Speaker 5: if there's things that I've said that have caused her
- 36:15Speaker 5: harm or hurt or negative emotions. And same with Carolina,
- 36:19Speaker 5: you know, and even Zoe, Like you know, I'm not
- 36:21Speaker 5: perfect and neither are they, so I can't. I can't
- 36:25Speaker 5: hold on to it anymore. But I just I think
- 36:28Speaker 5: I just need some more time. And it's so weird
- 36:30Speaker 5: that I feel like I could have forgiven Grant and
- 36:34Speaker 5: not the girls, But I think we were closer. You know,
- 36:38Speaker 5: in some odd way, it's like you spend more time
- 36:40Speaker 5: with them, you feel like you have a relationship friendship
- 36:44Speaker 5: with them, and then when things kind of get turned
- 36:47Speaker 5: around and things are said and feelings are hurt, it
- 36:51Speaker 5: hurts a little bit more, you know, because you wouldn't
- 36:54Speaker 5: expect that from girls, girls, and they are girls girls.
- 36:58Speaker 5: I think, you know, I think we all were. We
- 37:00Speaker 5: were so supportive. And I said this in the Bachelor
- 37:03Speaker 5: Happy Hour podcast.
- 37:04Speaker 6: It was like.
- 37:05Speaker 5: Filming was so phenomenal, Like yeah, it was afterwards that
- 37:08Speaker 5: things started to get so weird between all of us,
- 37:11Speaker 5: and that hurt me like so bad. I like came
- 37:16Speaker 5: out of that like with this newfound confidence and I
- 37:19Speaker 5: was like, oh my god, I just made like twenty
- 37:21Speaker 5: freaking friends and they were all girls, and like we were.
- 37:24Speaker 2: So nice, and.
- 37:27Speaker 5: Then they kind of started getting weird and uncomfortable, and
- 37:31Speaker 5: I was getting anxious in my handling this correctly.
- 37:33Speaker 6: What can I do better? Like what did I do
- 37:36Speaker 6: to them?
- 37:38Speaker 5: And it just took me down like a dark path,
- 37:41Speaker 5: like mentally about myself. And that's when I was kind
- 37:43Speaker 5: of like, Okay, I don't know these girls. They're not
- 37:44Speaker 5: my friends. They don't owe me anything, So I need
- 37:47Speaker 5: to heal myself before I have a relationship with them
- 37:52Speaker 5: in this environment.
- 37:53Speaker 3: Yeah, no, that's respectable.
- 37:55Speaker 4: Also, like, I imagine this happens a lot with the
- 37:58Speaker 4: final three, especially because you kind of, yeah, at the
- 38:04Speaker 4: end of it, you guys are very secluded from each other,
- 38:07Speaker 4: and then you watch it back on TV and I
- 38:11Speaker 4: really can't imagine. Then there's some weird scenarios like Katie
- 38:15Speaker 4: and Gabby where they're best friends. Yeah, so you know,
- 38:19Speaker 4: it all turns out differently, but I totally understand where
- 38:22Speaker 4: you're coming from with that. That would that would probably
- 38:25Speaker 4: be harder for me to get over as well the
- 38:28Speaker 4: girl relationship.
- 38:29Speaker 6: You know, I don't know if this is like a
- 38:31Speaker 6: weird view. You know.
- 38:33Speaker 5: I don't think I knew exactly what to expect in
- 38:35Speaker 5: the finale, but for some reason, I didn't expect that
- 38:39Speaker 5: from her. I could sense Grant was very anxious, and
- 38:45Speaker 5: I could sense he wasn't being fully honest with me
- 38:47Speaker 5: the night before when he was like, what if she
- 38:50Speaker 5: says this and what if she like lies?
- 38:52Speaker 6: And I was like, well, why are you feeling like
- 38:53Speaker 6: it's gonna go that way?
- 38:54Speaker 2: You know?
- 38:55Speaker 5: I was like, is there something in particular you're nervous about,
- 38:59Speaker 5: and he was like, no, no, no. And in that situation,
- 39:04Speaker 5: I am not able to watch it live, so I'm
- 39:07Speaker 5: kind of just waiting for my moment to come out
- 39:09Speaker 5: and hope, you know, he's okay. And he made it through,
- 39:13Speaker 5: and I saw him before we went on stage together,
- 39:15Speaker 5: and he was like literally like looked pale as a
- 39:18Speaker 5: ghosts And my mom got up from her seat watching
- 39:22Speaker 5: it and like went to go find me, and production
- 39:24Speaker 5: went like chasing after her.
- 39:25Speaker 6: I was like, ma'am, like get back to your seat.
- 39:27Speaker 6: She's like, screw you, throw this. I'm getting my daughter
- 39:29Speaker 6: out of here.
- 39:30Speaker 4: But I was wondering how much acting you had to
- 39:33Speaker 4: do when you were on the hot seat.
- 39:36Speaker 5: I don't I think I was luckily ignorant to what
- 39:39Speaker 5: had just happened to some extreme. I mean, to some extent,
- 39:44Speaker 5: but I have to be honest, Like I was so
- 39:47Speaker 5: nervous that I was going to fall or like I
- 39:49Speaker 5: don't know. I just was like I want I was
- 39:51Speaker 5: going to throw up. That's how I felt like being
- 39:53Speaker 5: on stage in front of all those people.
- 39:55Speaker 6: I don't even know.
- 39:56Speaker 5: I think I blacked out. Regardless of whether I think
- 39:58Speaker 5: I knew what had happened or not, Like I was
- 40:00Speaker 5: just like sitting smiling pretty and just trying to get through.
- 40:03Speaker 6: It's I can get off stage.
- 40:06Speaker 2: It is such a weird. Yeah, the final three is
- 40:10Speaker 2: always interesting. I mean during Caitlin season was on the Bachelorette,
- 40:13Speaker 2: obviously Nick and Sean almost went to fisticuffs over the
- 40:17Speaker 2: over the over the finals, and then when I was
- 40:21Speaker 2: a bachelor, you know you do it is nerve wracking.
- 40:24Speaker 2: I get what Grant was thinking, is Hey, is she
- 40:25Speaker 2: going to get out there and just tear me up.
- 40:29Speaker 2: It didn't happen in my scenario because I think I
- 40:32Speaker 2: had I think, well, I think Jojo knew she was
- 40:35Speaker 2: going to be the next Bachelorette, and so I think
- 40:37Speaker 2: she was like, I'm going to come in here and
- 40:39Speaker 2: just be kind and nice to Ben and then we're
- 40:43Speaker 2: going to get out of here and I'm going to
- 40:44Speaker 2: get announced as the Bachelorette and everything's gonna be good,
- 40:46Speaker 2: which I'm very thankful for. Yeah, it's it's really hard
- 40:51Speaker 2: for somebody in your seat though. I think Juliana, we've
- 40:55Speaker 2: talked so much now about your experience on the show.
- 40:59Speaker 2: I really want to know, are you glad you did it.
- 41:03Speaker 2: There's a lot right now that we've discussed, right like
- 41:06Speaker 2: a breakup that's been hard, and finding things out about
- 41:09Speaker 2: Grant that maybe didn't lend well towards a future relationship,
- 41:12Speaker 2: and then the friendships that have taken a pause. I'm
- 41:16Speaker 2: not going to say they ended. I think they come back,
- 41:17Speaker 2: and I think that's going to be really fun time
- 41:19Speaker 2: for all of us. But as you sit here today,
- 41:22Speaker 2: are you glad that you went on this show?
- 41:26Speaker 5: I think that that's an easy yes. You know, I
- 41:28Speaker 5: wouldn't have had the experiences. I wouldn't have grown into
- 41:32Speaker 5: the person that I am. And I also, frankly don't
- 41:34Speaker 5: think I would have been dating, you know, if I
- 41:38Speaker 5: didn't go on that. I was why I was such
- 41:40Speaker 5: a like, I don't know, I just was not dating before.
- 41:44Speaker 5: I didn't date anybody, I like.
- 41:46Speaker 4: To say with me, but I was like so nervous
- 41:48Speaker 4: about it, and then afterward I was like, whatever.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Yeah, to date on TV, you can do it in
- 41:52Speaker 3: real life totally.
- 41:54Speaker 5: And I just think, you know, I've grown a lot,
- 41:56Speaker 5: you know, and I'm like, I'm just so thankful for
- 42:00Speaker 5: it all, and for all of the obstacles that I've
- 42:02Speaker 5: had to overcome, Like I just feel I'm different in
- 42:06Speaker 5: a good way. And there are some things that I
- 42:08Speaker 5: see about myself now that I love. And there are
- 42:11Speaker 5: some things I see about myself that I've been paying
- 42:13Speaker 5: a little bit more attention to and trying to work on.
- 42:16Speaker 6: You know.
- 42:16Speaker 5: So I think all around, if you look at it
- 42:19Speaker 5: through the right lens, you know, you can't go wrong
- 42:22Speaker 5: dating on TV.
- 42:25Speaker 6: I agree.
- 42:26Speaker 2: All right.
- 42:26Speaker 4: Wait, I want to give you an opportunity to talk
- 42:27Speaker 4: about your clothing line with your sister.
- 42:29Speaker 6: Oh thank you, Oh my god, that's so sweet. It's
- 42:32Speaker 6: going so well.
- 42:35Speaker 5: It's called Nice Girls Label and it is an honor
- 42:38Speaker 5: of my grandmother, whose phrase was it's nice to be nice.
- 42:42Speaker 5: And it's really just building a community of women, mostly
- 42:46Speaker 5: in Boston, but we do sell our clothes online, but
- 42:49Speaker 5: we have all different events going on. We're partnering with
- 42:52Speaker 5: a bunch of local businesses, brands, foundations to just have
- 42:58Speaker 5: fun and create a community of of coziness and love and.
- 43:02Speaker 3: Love the cozy.
- 43:03Speaker 4: This is one thing I say that's always worth either
- 43:06Speaker 4: spending on or gifting it is cozy clothes because you.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Know they'll always be worn. I you know, buy jeans oh.
- 43:14Speaker 4: My gosh, the amount of jeans that are in my
- 43:16Speaker 4: closet that are never worn, but the amount of yoga
- 43:18Speaker 4: pants and sweatpants that are worn, They're just always worth
- 43:21Speaker 4: the bod.
- 43:22Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, totally. I live in loungewear. I'm literally wearing
- 43:26Speaker 6: like I like live in it, especially in the winter.
- 43:28Speaker 6: I'm like, you are not seeing me in like jeans?
- 43:30Speaker 3: Ever, I love never never in jeans in the winter
- 43:33Speaker 3: it's too cold.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Nice girls label dot com is where people can go
- 43:38Speaker 2: to find it. I love this conversation because my wife,
- 43:43Speaker 2: you know, I we've been living together for four years now.
- 43:48Speaker 2: When she puts on jeans and like a nice shirt,
- 43:52Speaker 2: like I can, she wants me to notice because she's
- 43:55Speaker 2: like I think she just is like I've lived in
- 43:58Speaker 2: sweatpants and sweatshirts for so long that like, look at me,
- 44:02Speaker 2: I'm dressed up today, and I'm like, you look like
- 44:04Speaker 2: you look every day going to school and now, oh
- 44:10Speaker 2: my gosh, I know, thinking.
- 44:11Speaker 4: About like what I would wear to college and grad
- 44:14Speaker 4: school and especially high school.
- 44:16Speaker 6: Oh my god.
- 44:17Speaker 3: You know college you have your.
- 44:18Speaker 4: Webpans stays for sure, especially like before noon classes. But
- 44:22Speaker 4: oh my gosh, I used to dress me too.
- 44:25Speaker 3: I wore jeans every.
- 44:26Speaker 4: Single day to high school maybe at wear sweats like every.
- 44:30Speaker 6: Other week, like I did full glam.
- 44:32Speaker 3: I like lamb.
- 44:33Speaker 6: I mean I've been like hang out with like fifteen
- 44:36Speaker 6: year olds, I know.
- 44:38Speaker 4: And if I didn't do it before, I did it
- 44:41Speaker 4: on the school bus and that everybody in the hallways
- 44:44Speaker 4: saw me put together.
- 44:44Speaker 3: Oh my god. I would never do makeup before seven am.
- 44:47Speaker 3: Now I never.
- 44:51Speaker 6: You're lucky if I put makeup on my face.
- 44:53Speaker 2: This is why Nice Girls label is not only needed
- 44:57Speaker 2: right now, it's also building this community you spoke about.
- 44:59Speaker 2: I think gets I'm looking at the website. It's really great,
- 45:02Speaker 2: really and so sure you go check it out. Juliana,
- 45:05Speaker 2: thanks for coming on, Thanks for giving us the time
- 45:07Speaker 2: this holiday season. It's it's really special to talk to you.
- 45:12Speaker 2: And goodness. I mean, I just want to say. My
- 45:15Speaker 2: take from this is that what like I'm learning from
- 45:19Speaker 2: you as I'm listening to you about how to like
- 45:21Speaker 2: walk through something so uniquely weird. I'm not going to
- 45:25Speaker 2: say difficult or hard or bad or good. It's just weird,
- 45:28Speaker 2: and you're going to learn a lot about yourself. Do
- 45:30Speaker 2: us a favor, though, if this relationship ends up, any relationship,
- 45:35Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say this one. Don't put the pressure
- 45:36Speaker 2: on it. If any relationship or any big things happen
- 45:40Speaker 2: in your life, please let us know so you can
- 45:41Speaker 2: come back on and talk to us. It would be
- 45:44Speaker 2: a gift to keep keep track and not do all
- 45:46Speaker 2: this weird guessing based on social media posts that have
- 45:48Speaker 2: been put out there, or like, do they hate each other?
- 45:51Speaker 2: Do they like each other? Were they ever together? Just
- 45:54Speaker 2: now come on chat with us. It would be a
- 45:57Speaker 2: gift to everybody listening and to Ashley myself. So, Juliana,
- 46:00Speaker 2: thanks for joining us today.
- 46:01Speaker 6: Thank you guys so much for having me. Thank you
- 46:04Speaker 6: brother so lovely.
- 46:05Speaker 3: All Right, we'll talk to you soon, hopefully. Until next time,
- 46:08Speaker 3: I've been Ashley.
- 46:10Speaker 2: And I've been Ben, We'll see you soon.
