- 1:09Speaker 1: Sometimes I come on at other times, but I'm always here every Thursday, as long as God wills it for me to share some words.
- 1:17Speaker 1: So before we go, father, we just thank you, lord, for giving us another Thursday, another opportunity to share your word with your people, and I pray that you will take over this call and that they will see you and not me and that they'll be fed in Jesus' name, amen.
- 1:33Speaker 1: So today we're going to dig a little bit deeper.
- 1:37Speaker 1: When I was preparing for this message it came out of kind of a heart, for I was just exhausted and I was on a prayer call earlier this week.
- 1:48Speaker 1: We have another call on Monday mornings at 6.30 AM.
- 1:51Speaker 1: You're all welcome to join that as well.
- 1:53Speaker 1: But that call I was sharing kind of my own testimony that the month of July I'd started out saying I'm going to be fighting for my destiny, fighting for my family, fighting for basically my life, my own mental health, and fighting for my ministry, fighting for my business, fighting for my career, just really in fighter mode, fighting for my daughter, spiritually fighting.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Right, not me going out duking it up, but really leaning into fighting for these things, because I do understand what spiritual warfare looks like.
- 2:28Speaker 1: But I also realize that I'm not in this thing by myself.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I do understand that the Holy Spirit is with me.
- 2:35Speaker 1: But I was sharing on Monday that I'd gotten to a point of exhaustion and it only what it was a few days ago.
- 2:44Speaker 1: So it was 10 days in and I was already exhausted from fighting every single day, and I shared what came to me through study and asking God for direction, and it showed up in Isaiah 30.
- 2:57Speaker 1: And last night, as I was preparing for this call, as the Holy Spirit does, he will bring you additional contacts I asked for.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You know, lord, give me guidance, because what I don't want is to come on and just give you things that sound good.
- 3:11Speaker 1: This is not about just making everyone feel good.
- 3:17Speaker 1: My calling will not let that happen, and so I'm going to touch on Isaiah 30.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I'm going to share my screen, as always.
- 3:26Speaker 1: It's easier y'all.
- 3:27Speaker 1: So if you have your Bible, that's great, if you don't, it's all right, but I'm going to share Isaiah 30 and I'm going to start there.
- 3:37Speaker 1: So just some contacts around Isaiah 30, this the children of Israel.
- 3:42Speaker 1: You know they were.
- 3:44Speaker 1: They were basically fighting for some things and they had reached out to Egypt for help.
- 3:52Speaker 1: They were being, basically, they were being attacked by the Assyrians, and so they were seeking help from the protection of Pharaoh and trying to seek shelter from Egypt rather than asking God for help, and I think a lot of us do this.
- 4:06Speaker 1: So, before we get into how you know, god can deliver and God helps you and fights your battles for you.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm just going to start with.
- 4:14Speaker 1: This is where a lot of us are, if we're honest with ourselves.
- 4:18Speaker 1: So at this point, isaiah is talking about do not go down to Egypt.
- 4:24Speaker 1: This is the ESV version.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Yours might say something different, and it starts off with ah, stubborn children, declares the Lord, who carry out a plan, but not mine.
- 4:33Speaker 1: So a lot of us are making these plans that are way out of sync.
- 4:38Speaker 1: It's not what God told you to do.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Who make an alliance?
- 4:41Speaker 1: Right?
- 4:42Speaker 1: You make partnerships with people because you're trying to push your agendas forward, or you're trying to get that promotion, so you make that alliance.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Or you're trying to save your marriage, so you make that alliance.
- 4:52Speaker 1: You're trying to save your kids, so you're making these alliances, but not of my spirit, right?
- 4:57Speaker 1: Meaning again, the Holy Spirit is not involved.
- 4:59Speaker 1: You didn't get any kind of instruction.
- 5:01Speaker 1: You're just doing this yourself.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And it says that they may add sin to sin.
- 5:05Speaker 1: And sin to sin is like when you're just stacking things on top of each other, right?
- 5:11Speaker 1: So if you were gambling, you're gambling even more.
- 5:13Speaker 1: If you're lying, you're lying even more, right.
- 5:16Speaker 1: If you're cheating, you're cheating.
- 5:18Speaker 1: You're just stacking your sin on top of each other, but then they go down to Egypt without asking for God's direction and they're looking for protection.
- 5:26Speaker 1: So this is important.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I wanted to start here because, again, a lot of us are in this position where we start out with a problem and then, rather than asking God for help but then you say you know, I'm not hearing from the Lord but rather than waiting for God's direction, waiting for Him to give you the resources and clarity and help, you go off and make these partnerships and these deals and these connections, thinking that that alliance will help you, and actually what it does is it makes things worse.
- 5:58Speaker 1: So we started out with the children of Israel.
- 6:01Speaker 1: They had gone down to Egypt despite what the Lord says, and as you come down now, they're being warned for being rebellious, because they're not seeing clearly what the Lord is saying.
- 6:14Speaker 1: It talks about the people being rebellious Again.
- 6:18Speaker 1: All these things were the things that they were doing before they got into trouble.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Okay, what was so incredible is, as you come down further into this woman, isaiah 30, where it talks about the Lord being gracious that he still.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I mean, I think this is why a lot of people get so confused.
- 6:38Speaker 1: They get confused and they get church hurt, where we know that God is a God of love, but we also know that God is a God of judgment and justice.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Right, it's not, you get to do whatever you want, and then there's no, there's nothing that comes out of that Right.
- 6:55Speaker 1: That's just not who it is.
- 6:56Speaker 1: God will pay equal for equal Right.
- 7:00Speaker 1: But the fact is and this is a fact, that the Lord is gracious, absolutely gracious.
- 7:08Speaker 1: He says.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Therefore, the Lord waits to be gracious to you, he's waiting to show mercy to you.
- 7:16Speaker 1: He's a God of justice and he bless all those who wait for him.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I mean, you're not trying to get ahead of what he's trying to do.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And this week he was showing me these verses for people dwell in Zion, you shall weep no more.
- 7:32Speaker 1: He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry Whereas you're crying out to him Again.
- 7:38Speaker 1: You've been fighting, you've made these mistakes, you've made these alliances.
- 7:42Speaker 1: You try to solve your own problems.
- 7:44Speaker 1: That is not working out.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Don't blame God.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Okay, he's gracious to you at the sound of your cry.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Some of us are so stubborn you won't even stop and cry out for help.
- 7:54Speaker 1: A lot of you are crying out to blame God, but you're not even crying out for help.
- 7:59Speaker 1: In the word it says as soon as he hears it, he answers you, meaning that your cry, the sound of your cry, is coming from your heart.
- 8:06Speaker 1: It's not just your mouth saying stuff, right, it's not just your mouth saying stuff, he's hearing the cry from your heart.
- 8:12Speaker 1: And verse 20 says and though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, sometimes he will allow things to.
- 8:21Speaker 1: God will allow things to happen.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You must learn those lessons.
- 8:24Speaker 1: So the bread of adversity and the water of affliction.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And yet your teacher right this is showing God in a different light.
- 8:33Speaker 1: As your teacher, he will hide himself no more and your eyes will see and your ears will hear the word saying this is the way, walk in it.
- 8:43Speaker 1: This is the way, walk in it.
- 8:46Speaker 1: This is so powerful again.
- 8:49Speaker 1: So we started out with the children of Israel trying to fight their own battle.
- 8:52Speaker 1: They're not listening to the Lord.
- 8:54Speaker 1: They decided to go and work with the Egyptians.
- 8:57Speaker 1: And again you can apply this to your own life.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I've made decisions and alliances with people that had no business working with, because the Lord never told me to do that.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And then I had to figure out, like, how do I back out of this crazy town and then go back to the Lord saying Lord, help me.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Where are you?
- 9:15Speaker 1: I'm not here for the Lord?
- 9:17Speaker 1: Am I the only one who does this?
- 9:18Speaker 1: No, but the Lord is so gracious that if you're crying out from your heart, he will hear and he will answer it.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Shelly, that's not what I told you to do.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Verse 23, where he says and he will give rain for the seed with which you sow the ground, the bread, the produce of the ground, which will be rich and plenteous.
- 9:41Speaker 1: There's been a recurring conversation within one of the prayer groups on this, and so, as I'm seeing this now, a shout out to the woman of God that has been seeing this thing about seeding and where you're planting your seed and the ground and where you sow your seed.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So where are you spending your time?
- 9:59Speaker 1: Where are you planting your talents?
- 10:01Speaker 1: Where are you planting your gifts?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Those things are gonna sprout into something right, and so my hope and my prayer is that where you're planting your seed will end up being something that is rich and bountiful.
- 10:16Speaker 1: But understand that anything, anything I do, any seed that I plant, is geared towards the glory of God.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Period period.
- 10:26Speaker 1: All and everything else gets added onto me.
- 10:30Speaker 1: So if you're planting seeds just for the sake of likes and clicks, if you're planting seeds for the sake of just being wealthy, if you're planting seeds because you're trying to keep that man, if you're just planting seeds because he want your kids to like you, that is not solid ground.
- 10:43Speaker 1: That's why it's so important to make sure that you're in partnership.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You're asking God for divine instruction because you will run this race, you'll burn yourself out and then you'll come back and ask for help.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Y'all this is powerful.
- 11:00Speaker 1: So I'm gonna show you verse 31 really quickly and then we're gonna go into Isaiah 43 and then we're gonna close this out and just stick with me Because I want.
- 11:09Speaker 1: There are sometimes when I come on and I will give you encouragement because I want you to feel encouraged, right, I want you to know that God loves you and that you're not alone and that, if no one else, there is someone on the other side of the screen praying alongside you.
- 11:26Speaker 1: But there are sometimes when I come on and it's oil meaning.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I want you to be delivered from the mindset.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I want you to be delivered from church heard.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I want you to be delivered from confusion and the way that you're seeing God, and I'm sharing with you what I'm being taught, because it's not just for me, and I want you to be delivered just as much as I want myself to be delivered.
- 11:48Speaker 1: And one day I'll tell you my backstory and context, but for right now I'm just telling you what he wants me to tell you, and even if I'm preaching to myself, I'm soaking it in Amen.
- 12:00Speaker 1: So verse 31, it talks about the Assyrians will be terrestrial Remember, these were the folks that they were running from and that they will be terraced, stricken at the voice of the Lord when he strikes his rod.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Every stroke of the appointed staff that the Lord lays on them will be to the sound of tambourines and liars, which are people praising God.
- 12:21Speaker 1: So, at the end of all this, even though you've gone into a place of just being totally, you know totally, totally not having the Lord along with you on your journey, you've gone and you made these decisions, you've done these things yourself.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Even so, he will still come back if you cry out to him from a pure heart.
- 12:45Speaker 1: So now this is Isaiah 43, and this is a great one.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Go back and read this whole thing, because this, again, this is coming further down into the story, where the Lord is reaffirming himself as their only savior and it says but now, thus says the Lord right?
- 13:06Speaker 1: So this is God speaking, and I love how it just starts out.
- 13:10Speaker 1: He who formed you.
- 13:11Speaker 1: So, when you read the word, put your name in here.
- 13:14Speaker 1: He who created you, o Shelly.
- 13:16Speaker 1: He who formed you, o Shelly, fear not, for I have redeemed you.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I have called you by name and you are mine.
- 13:23Speaker 1: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you.
- 13:30Speaker 1: When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned and the flames shall not consume you.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Listen, I don't care what it is that you set up no-transcript.
- 13:41Speaker 1: And yet the Lord is saying I have called you by name, you are still mine.
- 13:46Speaker 1: You are still mine, and it goes into why Because I am the Lord, your God, because you're precious in my eyes.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Verse four in honor and I love you Y'all.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Sometimes you need to come in here when you're going through these trials and you can't figure out, like why things are going crazy or why people are losing their minds, or why you're losing your mind.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Sometimes you need to be reminded of how much God loves you and wants you to live a full, prosperous, healthy life.
- 14:17Speaker 1: And just come in and just remind yourself of what he says about you.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Stop listening to what people say about you.
- 14:24Speaker 1: This is why I say all the time I don't know if it's confidence, I don't know what it is, but for me, in my house, I know what God says about me, I know who I am, I know who's I am.
- 14:39Speaker 1: There is no way that I can step into a day and live in fear and doubt when I come in with the word that says because you are precious in my eyes and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples, peoples in exchange for your life, because I understand that I am precious in God's eyes and that he will give peoples in exchange, not just one.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Fear not, for I am with you.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Listen, this is for moms.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I will bring your offspring from the east and from the west.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I will gather you up, come in, come back into the word and understand and receive how much God loves you, and then maybe it'll make a little bit more sense about why he would want to fight so hard for you, because a lot of people are stuck.
- 15:30Speaker 1: They don't understand a God that, seemingly, is allowing things to happen.
- 15:34Speaker 1: And yet y'all, we are creating these things, we are causing a lot of the, we are causing this thing.
- 15:41Speaker 1: This is our plane right, earth right.
- 15:44Speaker 1: So we're creating these things, we're creating these alliances, we're making these decisions without God.
- 15:50Speaker 1: We're trying to align ourselves with the quick wins and what looks good, and then, when we fall into that pit, we blame God.
- 16:01Speaker 1: And yet today, what he wants you to know is that he will fight for you, period.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Why?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Just because he loves you.
- 16:10Speaker 1: You can't earn it.
- 16:12Speaker 1: There's nothing that I can do to earn the grace and the favor on my life.
- 16:16Speaker 1: He just said that one there.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I'm giving her this and I received it.
- 16:23Speaker 1: You don't have to plant a seed with me.
- 16:27Speaker 1: You don't have to pay me to tell you.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I'm telling you for free.
- 16:29Speaker 1: God loves you, and the same grace and favor that I walk in is the same grace and favor that you can walk in.
- 16:36Speaker 1: The only difference is that I am willing and obedient to him.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Every single thing I do is for him, period.
- 16:43Speaker 1: So I urge you today go back into the word Isaiah 30 to learn about the story, but go back into Isaiah 43.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Maybe that's what you read for the rest of the week, to just reconcile the love that God has for you.
- 16:55Speaker 1: And when you start to receive and fully understand that, you will know why I'm on here every Thursday and every Monday and every Wednesday pushing and talking about God's love, and why I'm so dug in to make sure that people know who our father is.
- 17:12Speaker 1: So we're gonna go into prayer and close out, lord.
- 17:16Speaker 1: We just thank you.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Lord.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I pray that your word falls on the ears that are willing to hear and the eyes that are willing to see, and I pray for everyone, under the sound of my voice, live and replay on whatever channel they're watching from, that they will come to see you and not me.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Today, lord God, minimize me.
- 17:32Speaker 1: They don't need to know me.
- 17:33Speaker 1: They need to know you and I thank you that you are such a gracious father, despite our craziness, despite our stubbornness.
- 17:41Speaker 1: There's so many people who are so confused because they have so many people feeding them the lines and the lies about who you are.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Lord, god, I pray that there's an ocean of clarity that washes over all of us, that we will see you in your true nature, lord God, that they won't be confused about who you are, and I pray especially for those believers or those Christians who are trying to walk this life, who are so tired of fighting these battles, lord God, that each and every one that you will just give them, lord God, give them the wisdom and the understanding.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Give them the wisdom and understanding, lord God, that they need in order to really, really really get into your world.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Lord, we all wanna level up and be closer to you.
- 18:28Speaker 1: So, lord, I ask that that is released today, that spirit of wisdom and understanding.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Lord, I bind everything that's coming against every single person on the side of my voice.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Lord God, what they stand in need of and what they need to be delivered from, only you know, only you know the hearts of men.
- 18:45Speaker 1: So I stand in between now, lord, and ask that that will be done in all of their lives and it will be so.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Thank you, god for another Thursday, and will we just continue to bless your name and that's all, lord.
- 18:58Speaker 1: We just love you.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Amen, all right, that's it, y'all.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I will be back next Thursday.
- 19:05Speaker 1: If you're interested in joining our private Facebook group actually, it's not really private, y'all the link is in the YouTube description, or probably any of our description.
- 19:15Speaker 1: So you know, please join the group.
- 19:17Speaker 1: There is no fee.
- 19:18Speaker 1: We're not selling anything, you know.
- 19:20Speaker 1: We're just Bible-based folks trying to support each other.
- 19:23Speaker 1: So with that, I love y'all, have a wonderful rest of the week.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I'm here.
- 19:27Speaker 1: If you need me, you are welcome.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Thank you, sergeant Mario Fields and Cindy and whoever else is watching.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I can't see everybody else in the chat, I'm sorry.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Y'all have a good rest of the week أن.
