- 0:01Speaker 1: With Forbidden Door less than three weeks away aw hed
- 0:05Speaker 1: Dynamite tonight, it is still looking very much like any
- 0:08Speaker 1: other AW pay per view. I'm waiting for the actual
- 0:11Speaker 1: Forbidden Door portion to come into the show. The card
- 0:15Speaker 1: is starting to fill out a little bit. We know
- 0:18Speaker 1: that the Unified Championship will be on the line. Kazuchka Okata,
- 0:22Speaker 1: who is not on the show tonight, is going to
- 0:24Speaker 1: be defending his title against Swerve Strickland. We know the
- 0:27Speaker 1: Hurt Syndicate will put their AW Tech Team titles on
- 0:30Speaker 1: the line against the winners of this tournament that's been
- 0:32Speaker 1: going on, which will be an AW team. We know
- 0:36Speaker 1: Timeless Tony Storm is putting her championship on the line
- 0:39Speaker 1: against Athena, and we know that the TBS Championship will
- 0:44Speaker 1: be defended in a four way match. At least in
- 0:46Speaker 1: that match they will have representatives from CMLL and from Stardom.
- 0:52Speaker 1: And then, outside of a possible Hiroshi Tanahashi match, That's
- 0:55Speaker 1: about all we know at this point, so not a
- 0:58Speaker 1: whole lot of Forbidden Door influence. I think I mentioned
- 1:01Speaker 1: last week. The g One climax is still ongoing and
- 1:06Speaker 1: it will not end until the week before the pay
- 1:08Speaker 1: per view, so it is entirely possible, if not probable,
- 1:12Speaker 1: that we will not see any new japan talent on
- 1:14Speaker 1: the show until then, like the week before the show,
- 1:17Speaker 1: because normally Forbidden Door happens a little bit earlier. This
- 1:21Speaker 1: year because the schedule changed a little bit, we had
- 1:24Speaker 1: All In in July and now we have Forbidden Door
- 1:27Speaker 1: in August, so it's a little bit weird. But in
- 1:31Speaker 1: the main event tonight, we had MJF and Mark Briscoe
- 1:34Speaker 1: one on one and there were no stipulations attached, no
- 1:37Speaker 1: conditions attached to this match, but it seemed like the
- 1:41Speaker 1: winner would probably end up challenging Hangman for the World Championship.
- 1:45Speaker 1: And MJF beat Mark Briscoe tonight. This is the fourth
- 1:49Speaker 1: week in a row that Mark Briscoe has been a
- 1:50Speaker 1: part of the d of my main event, and it
- 1:53Speaker 1: was not without controversy him getting his foot on the
- 1:56Speaker 1: bottom rope, the idiot referee of course not seeing it, and.
- 2:01Speaker 2: MJF is the winner. Hangman came out.
- 2:03Speaker 1: We had a big brawl to close out the show,
- 2:06Speaker 1: but we are really no closer to a resolution out
- 2:09Speaker 1: of the question of who challenges him next for the Championship,
- 2:11Speaker 1: because there's still time left between now and the pay
- 2:14Speaker 1: per view for them to run this match back.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Maybe not next week, but maybe in two weeks.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So are we looking at a situation where we're getting
- 2:22Speaker 1: one more match between MJF and Mark Brisco or are
- 2:26Speaker 1: we looking at a situation where we may get a
- 2:28Speaker 1: triple threat match for the aw World title of Forbidden Door.
- 2:32Speaker 1: So that's the question coming out of this show. The
- 2:35Speaker 1: highlight of the show tonight easily easily, I mean it's
- 2:38Speaker 1: not even close. Was the tag team eliminator semi final match.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, the Young Bucks have in many
- 2:46Speaker 1: ways the last few weeks, ever since they lost their
- 2:49Speaker 1: EVP titles, have been.
- 2:50Speaker 2: The highlight of this show.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I don't know what that says about everybody else, but
- 2:56Speaker 1: the whole shtick with them coming out and getting the
- 2:59Speaker 1: jobber and send everybody making fun of them, I've been
- 3:03Speaker 1: amused by. And then their match tonight against Brody King
- 3:07Speaker 1: and Bendido stole the show. They went out there and
- 3:10Speaker 1: had a great match with Broddo moving on to the
- 3:14Speaker 1: finals of the tournament to wrestle FTR, not the Young Bucks,
- 3:18Speaker 1: which was the right outcome, but also not just the
- 3:22Speaker 1: right outcome, because Brodido just should have won the match
- 3:25Speaker 1: and beaten the Young Bucks. But now it sets up
- 3:27Speaker 1: a final honestly could go either way as far as
- 3:31Speaker 1: who goes on to challenge Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin
- 3:33Speaker 1: at Forbidden Doors. So at least in that match, I
- 3:37Speaker 1: feel like there is a little bit of unpredictability as
- 3:40Speaker 1: far as who you know who walks out with the
- 3:42Speaker 1: w in that match. But I thought that tag team
- 3:45Speaker 1: match tonight was easily the best thing on the entire show. Yeah,
- 3:49Speaker 1: I mentioned the Hurt Syndicate. I'll touch upon this a
- 3:51Speaker 1: little bit later. There was some drama involving the Hurt
- 3:55Speaker 1: Syndicate a news report from Fightful that came out yesterday
- 3:59Speaker 1: regarding MV. I'm sure some of you at least have
- 4:03Speaker 1: seen it and know what I'm talking about. There's been
- 4:05Speaker 1: a little bit of an update. We'll get into that
- 4:08Speaker 1: a little bit later on this show. It was a
- 4:11Speaker 1: solid show. There were some things on the show that
- 4:15Speaker 1: I liked. It did forward some things along in terms
- 4:18Speaker 1: of the key stories that they are trying to tell
- 4:21Speaker 1: at the moment, including John Moxley and Darby Allen some
- 4:24Speaker 1: other stuff with the women, which we'll get into. I
- 4:28Speaker 1: can't tell you that this was a show where any
- 4:30Speaker 1: one thing stood out in a spectacular way as far
- 4:36Speaker 1: as some big angle development. The big thing that stood
- 4:40Speaker 1: out was the tag team tournament match, and that was
- 4:43Speaker 1: honestly it. But the rest of the stuff on the show,
- 4:46Speaker 1: it was fine, just none of it really stood out,
- 4:50Speaker 1: not like that tag team match. Did This is your
- 4:53Speaker 1: aw Dynamite review. It is Wednesday. It is August sixth,
- 4:57Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. I am the solo Monster. Thank you
- 5:00Speaker 1: yet again for hanging out with me. It's been a
- 5:02Speaker 1: very busy week going back to the weekend with two
- 5:05Speaker 1: Summer Slam shows Raw Monday Night and now the Dynamite
- 5:08Speaker 1: post show at a podcast in between. By the way,
- 5:11Speaker 1: episode nine to twenty three. Thank you for all the
- 5:14Speaker 1: feedback to that. Hit that subscribe button, hit that like button,
- 5:18Speaker 1: and if you would like to hit the super chat
- 5:20Speaker 1: button like Joseph Stewart just did. I appreciate the support.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Any messages that come in, I will be reading all
- 5:26Speaker 1: of them, so get them on in. We're looking for
- 5:29Speaker 1: a minimum four hundred likes on the stream tonight. If
- 5:32Speaker 1: we hit that goal. We will do be the booker later,
- 5:35Speaker 1: but we got to hit that threshold.
- 5:37Speaker 2: So hit that thumbs up as well.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Check back on that periodically here as we go along,
- 5:43Speaker 1: let's get into this show. Ex Caliber was hyping up
- 5:48Speaker 1: the main event tonight between MJF and Mark brisco and
- 5:52Speaker 1: then he introduced a promo from MJF who was in
- 5:55Speaker 1: the back, and he was holding his world title contract
- 5:59Speaker 1: that he won in the Casino Gauntlet.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Back it all in.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And he has a championship now. Has nothing to do
- 6:07Speaker 1: with the contract. In fact, it has nothing to do
- 6:10Speaker 1: at all with aw but he is now a champion
- 6:14Speaker 1: in CMLL. He's got the CMLL Light actually it's the
- 6:18Speaker 1: CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship, is the.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Title he won.
- 6:22Speaker 1: He said that since Hangman refused to give him a
- 6:25Speaker 1: world title match, one of his friends is going to pay.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Mark Briscoe is looking in the eyes of the devil
- 6:31Speaker 1: and he has no problem sending him back to hell
- 6:34Speaker 1: or worse, to dumpster Delaware where he'll be stuck being
- 6:39Speaker 1: a chicken farmer and a blue collar.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Bitch, is what he said.
- 6:44Speaker 1: He's not championship material, he's not a real man. He's
- 6:47Speaker 1: white trash that got lucky, which is why the fans
- 6:50Speaker 1: cheer for Briscoe. They pity him. It says tonight Briscoe's
- 6:54Speaker 1: luck will run out. So yeah, if you didn't see it,
- 6:58Speaker 1: if you didn't see it, beat Averno last Friday to
- 7:04Speaker 1: win what he is now calling the CMLL World title.
- 7:07Speaker 1: That's what MJF is calling it, and I assume that
- 7:13Speaker 1: the plan is for him to drop that championship to Mystico.
- 7:17Speaker 1: CMLL has their anniversary show coming up in mid September.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I think it's like their ninety second anniversary this year
- 7:25Speaker 1: oldest wrestling promotion in the world and big anniversary show
- 7:30Speaker 1: coming up. Tony Kahan got to do the first match
- 7:33Speaker 1: between them on his show, even though it was at
- 7:35Speaker 1: Arena Mexico. He got to do the first match between
- 7:38Speaker 1: them on Dynamite right on that Grand Slam show.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I believe he's where the match took place.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I would have to think that CMLL would like to
- 7:44Speaker 1: have the second match, and that is where Mystico can
- 7:48Speaker 1: take that championship away from him. So that would be
- 7:51Speaker 1: my guess as far as what the end goal is
- 7:53Speaker 1: of him having that title. But you know, I mentioned
- 7:56Speaker 1: this on the podcast. And I mean, I just found
- 7:59Speaker 1: this interesting because because we have so many championships in
- 8:02Speaker 1: wrestling right now, just in this company alone, but even
- 8:05Speaker 1: in WWE, there's so many championships and there's always so many,
- 8:10Speaker 1: you know, titles changing hands at any given moment that
- 8:14Speaker 1: it's pretty impressive. The fact that this championship, MJF is
- 8:18Speaker 1: only the twenty first champion to hold that title. That
- 8:23Speaker 1: title was established way back in nineteen ninety one, so
- 8:28Speaker 1: to have twenty champions since nineteen ninety one, it's pretty impressive.
- 8:35Speaker 1: So that struck me because I was curious and I'm like,
- 8:38Speaker 1: I wonder, how far does the lineage go, you know,
- 8:41Speaker 1: for this belt, And I'm like, okay, ninety one so
- 8:45Speaker 1: you had you know, hul Cogan and the Ultimate Warrior
- 8:48Speaker 1: wrestling the Triangle of Terror, and you had Bretthart getting
- 8:51Speaker 1: his first real singles push, and all of these things
- 8:54Speaker 1: that were going on in wrestling right the Boss Man
- 8:57Speaker 1: sending the Mounty to jail. Rick Flair had just left
- 9:02Speaker 1: the NWA or WCW that's when the title was established,
- 9:06Speaker 1: and he's only the twenty first champions. So I have
- 9:08Speaker 1: a feeling that number twenty two is coming very soon though,
- 9:12Speaker 1: so The opening match tonight was John Moxley against MVP's
- 9:17Speaker 1: favorite wrestler, speedball Mike Bailey. So Bailey exploded with some offense.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Moxley was very preoccupied here, and he looked like he
- 9:28Speaker 1: was preoccupied scanning the crowd looking for one Darby Allen,
- 9:32Speaker 1: not knowing where or if he might pop up. So
- 9:35Speaker 1: Bailey floated over in the corner. He went for a
- 9:38Speaker 1: moon salt. Moxley poked him in the eye. Wheeler, you'd
- 9:41Speaker 1: have took the referee that allowed Marina Shaffir to sweep
- 9:44Speaker 1: out Bailey's leg. Shafir got in the face of Kevin Knight.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Of course, that's Mike Bailey's tag team partner. He was
- 9:51Speaker 1: on the outside. Moxley slapped him in the face. This
- 9:56Speaker 1: brief distraction here allowed Bailey to hit his triangle moon salt.
- 10:01Speaker 1: He draped Moxley over the barricade and hit a standing
- 10:05Speaker 1: moon salt double knees that took us into the commercial break.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Moxley regained control. During the break, Bailey battled back with
- 10:13Speaker 1: some kicks, in a missile drop kick that landed off
- 10:16Speaker 1: the second rope. Moxley tried to rear naked choke. Bailey
- 10:19Speaker 1: spun out with an arm breaker, went up top for
- 10:23Speaker 1: a shooting star press for two. Quickly though, transitioned into
- 10:26Speaker 1: a cross arm breaker and then a triangle choke. Moxley
- 10:30Speaker 1: he powered up. Bailey got a herd Karna back to
- 10:33Speaker 1: the arm breaker and both men traded near falls until
- 10:37Speaker 1: Bailey popped up into another moon salt double knees. So
- 10:41Speaker 1: night in Shafir, they're getting into it again. Now on
- 10:43Speaker 1: the outside they start arguing that allows Wheeler you to
- 10:46Speaker 1: trip up Bailey while the referee was distracted. All of
- 10:50Speaker 1: a sudden we see Darby Allen, and Darby Allen appears
- 10:54Speaker 1: in the crowd behind Wheeler Udah. He places a rag
- 10:58Speaker 1: over his face. I guess he's chloroforming him or whatever
- 11:03Speaker 1: it is, and he drags him out of the building.
- 11:06Speaker 1: He kidnaps him, so Moxley was distracted. Bailey got a
- 11:11Speaker 1: quick roll up for two. Bailey went back to the armbreaker,
- 11:15Speaker 1: Moxley spun out, he sank in a choke, and then
- 11:18Speaker 1: he spiked Bailey with a death rider for the win.
- 11:21Speaker 1: After the match, Moxley and Shafir, they scrambled through the crowd,
- 11:26Speaker 1: presumably goes save Wheeler Dah. Either that or they were
- 11:28Speaker 1: just going to look for Darby Allen and didn't give
- 11:31Speaker 1: a fuck about Wheeler Youda. So that was the opening match,
- 11:36Speaker 1: and you know, it was fine, it was, it was
- 11:38Speaker 1: what it was. It was solid enough that the real
- 11:41Speaker 1: focus here wasn't even so much Moxley against Speedball. It
- 11:45Speaker 1: was the Shenanigans with Darby Allen. But outside later, and
- 11:49Speaker 1: we're skipping ahead a couple of segments here, but the
- 11:51Speaker 1: continuation of this came a.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Little bit later.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Moxley and Shaffir they're out in the parking line now
- 11:57Speaker 1: and they find Wheeler Dah. We don't know that it's
- 12:01Speaker 1: him right away, but there is clearly a body lying
- 12:05Speaker 1: on the ground outside of the parking lot in a
- 12:08Speaker 1: body bag, and so they go over and they Darby's
- 12:12Speaker 1: about to run him over with his truck. Okay, attempted
- 12:16Speaker 1: murder here on Dynamite death Riders, pull you out of
- 12:20Speaker 1: the way just in time. Darby pulls up, he stops
- 12:23Speaker 1: his truck, he looks out the window at Moxley, and
- 12:26Speaker 1: then he just floors it and he drives away, and
- 12:30Speaker 1: that's how this came to an end. Then they unzipped
- 12:33Speaker 1: the body bag wheeler Ude was inside and stuck to
- 12:37Speaker 1: his forehead is a sign that simply says Forbidden Door.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Again.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Great, we're gonna get Moxley and Darby it Forbidden Door.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I ask you, what is what is the what is.
- 12:54Speaker 1: The attraction of that being on the Forbidden Door card
- 12:58Speaker 1: when the majority of the so far are strictly AW matches.
- 13:04Speaker 1: It's just very weird. The timing of this show is
- 13:09Speaker 1: very weird. Now they've already moved I think something like
- 13:11Speaker 1: fifteen thousand tickets for the show. They obviously have a
- 13:15Speaker 1: lot of fans over in London. They didn't get a
- 13:17Speaker 1: stadium show this year. They'll go back to Wembley next year,
- 13:21Speaker 1: so they're doing it at the two, so it's going
- 13:23Speaker 1: to be a packed building. It's going to be a
- 13:25Speaker 1: hot crowd. Forbidden Door is still a hot ticket for
- 13:29Speaker 1: this company. I'm just waiting for the actual Forbidden Door
- 13:33Speaker 1: portion of the show to kick in to see what
- 13:35Speaker 1: those matches are going to look like and how many
- 13:37Speaker 1: of those matches there will be relative to the AW
- 13:41Speaker 1: only matches of which this is one. Now, this match
- 13:44Speaker 1: has not been made official yet, but obviously it will
- 13:47Speaker 1: be very soon. Yeah, Mike says aw bought all the
- 13:51Speaker 1: new Japan Top talent. Basically they basically did. Yeah, they
- 13:56Speaker 1: basically signed them away and we'll see. I mean, we
- 14:01Speaker 1: haven't heard anything new on the will Osprey front, him
- 14:04Speaker 1: and his two herniated discs. He did say he was
- 14:06Speaker 1: going to try to make it back in time for
- 14:08Speaker 1: Forbidden Door.
- 14:10Speaker 2: I mean, you know what if his goal is.
- 14:14Speaker 1: To be back and to be cleared in time to
- 14:17Speaker 1: work a match on the Forbidden Door show, in all honesty,
- 14:20Speaker 1: the safest match probably for him would be Tanahashi. Tanahashi
- 14:26Speaker 1: is wrestling his last ever UK match on that show.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I cannot think of a safer, better opponent for him
- 14:34Speaker 1: if he's still dealing with that injury than Hiroshi Tanahashi. So,
- 14:40Speaker 1: I mean, that may be the way to go, honestly,
- 14:42Speaker 1: and it'll be the best opponent for Tanahashi, you know,
- 14:46Speaker 1: to give him the best match possible. So Renee Piquette,
- 14:50Speaker 1: she was all over this show tonight. She was backstage
- 14:53Speaker 1: with Timeless Tony Storm and Missus will Osprey Alex Windsor
- 15:01Speaker 1: to talk about both the Fatal four way tonight for
- 15:04Speaker 1: the TBS Championship spot. There's multiple spots, but there's one
- 15:09Speaker 1: spot for an AW challenger, and that match was coming
- 15:13Speaker 1: up later in the show. Windsor was a part of
- 15:16Speaker 1: that match, but also to talk about the AW Women's
- 15:18Speaker 1: World title match of Forbidden Door, because Tony Storm is
- 15:21Speaker 1: defending against Athena. Storm said that tonight is a menagerie
- 15:25Speaker 1: of bruising, brawling bitches, something that she used to dream of.
- 15:31Speaker 1: If there's anything that she knows about this non sexual
- 15:35Speaker 1: friendship with Windsor, you can beat us down, but you
- 15:39Speaker 1: cannot beat.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Us off.
- 15:42Speaker 1: All right, then I suppose that is kind of true.
- 15:48Speaker 1: That would be difficult to do.
- 15:50Speaker 2: I would imagine we.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Had a TVs Championship four way qualifier, speaking of which,
- 15:57Speaker 1: with Alex Windsor, Queen sky Blue and Billy Starks, who
- 16:04Speaker 1: was out there with Athena. Tony Storm made her entrance.
- 16:08Speaker 1: She was going to be in Alex Windsor's corner. Sky
- 16:11Speaker 1: Blue found herself being a ping pong at the beginning
- 16:13Speaker 1: of this match in between Amanada and Windsor. So after
- 16:18Speaker 1: a break Ami Nada and Blue they were slugging it
- 16:20Speaker 1: out and sky Blue threw a kick and then she
- 16:24Speaker 1: tried to code Blue. Windsor though cut it off with
- 16:27Speaker 1: a Blue thunderbomb. Starks broke up the cover with a facebuster,
- 16:32Speaker 1: only to then run into a pop up power bomb
- 16:34Speaker 1: by Alex Windsor, so the sharpshooter was applied on Billy Starks.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Ami Nada booted Windsor for the break. Blue and Billy
- 16:42Speaker 1: Starks cut them both off and traded kicks on one
- 16:45Speaker 1: another until Windsor and Amunada dropped both with stereo German
- 16:49Speaker 1: sup plexes and headbuts before they threw one at each other.
- 16:54Speaker 1: That gave us a reset here in this match, So
- 16:57Speaker 1: Windsor was looking for a superplex. Sky Blue, though countered
- 17:01Speaker 1: into an avalanche Code Blue. Ami Nada broke up the
- 17:04Speaker 1: count with a reverse DDT. Billy Dove flew in with
- 17:08Speaker 1: a swanton flatt and poor sky Blue here in the process,
- 17:12Speaker 1: Ami Nada popped up hit a rolling sup plex for
- 17:15Speaker 1: two of her own, and then outside the ring there
- 17:19Speaker 1: was a very embarrassing spot and what happened is sky
- 17:24Speaker 1: Blue tried to do a Code Blue onto a chair.
- 17:27Speaker 1: There's a chair that was set up outside and she
- 17:30Speaker 1: was going to do a Code Blue to Ami Nada
- 17:33Speaker 1: onto the chair. Ami Nada just stood there hunched over
- 17:37Speaker 1: like as sky Blue was trying to maneuver her her
- 17:40Speaker 1: body to do this move. It really just felt like
- 17:42Speaker 1: she couldn't get in the right position. But ami Nada
- 17:46Speaker 1: is hunched over and I guess sky because maybe she
- 17:50Speaker 1: was supposed to counter out of it.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Sky Blue thought that that's what she had done.
- 17:54Speaker 1: But really this was on sky Blue here, This just
- 17:57Speaker 1: it just looked really bad. And sky Blue ended up
- 18:03Speaker 1: throwing herself forward into the chair face first, literally just
- 18:09Speaker 1: threw herself into the chair, and there was like this
- 18:11Speaker 1: delay of a second or two that she had and
- 18:13Speaker 1: she went and did it anyway, and amiad Is still
- 18:17Speaker 1: just hunched over there like it was. It was not good.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It just looked terrible. So Amiennada ended up delivering a
- 18:24Speaker 1: reverse DDT onto the chair after that to try to
- 18:28Speaker 1: salvage the spot. I mean, look, shit happens, but it
- 18:33Speaker 1: was bad.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, maybe maybe John Cena threw
- 18:37Speaker 2: her into the chair. Someone did.
- 18:39Speaker 1: There was there was some spiritual being perhaps that launched
- 18:43Speaker 1: her face first into the chair. Back in the ring,
- 18:46Speaker 1: Windsor hit a discus lariat on Billy as Athena went
- 18:49Speaker 1: to go get into the ring. Storm, they'll pulled her
- 18:51Speaker 1: down to the floor. Starks wanted a brainbuster. Windsor countered
- 18:55Speaker 1: into a Tony Storm big package for the flash pin
- 18:59Speaker 1: to get the Now after the match, we hear the
- 19:03Speaker 1: music of one Mercedes Monet, who is now Mercedes eight Belts.
- 19:09Speaker 1: She won another one recently. She visited a tiny village
- 19:14Speaker 1: in Poland and they had an independent wrestling show there,
- 19:20Speaker 1: so she wrestled and she won yet another championship.
- 19:24Speaker 2: And I don't know, I remember the name of the.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Championship, but I just it's amusing to me the idea
- 19:30Speaker 1: that she is going around and having her people go around,
- 19:33Speaker 1: probably going on Google Maps and just pointing out these
- 19:36Speaker 1: little villages and little towns in these obscure places all
- 19:39Speaker 1: over the world that she could go visit to take
- 19:42Speaker 1: their titles. Like I just saw a Fantastic four yesterday.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Good movie, by the way, I enjoyed it, and it
- 19:51Speaker 1: reminds me it's like she's like Galactys. Mercedes is like Galactys,
- 19:56Speaker 1: where she's going around and you know, consuming different plan
- 20:00Speaker 1: and kind of taking them for her own.
- 20:03Speaker 2: She really is.
- 20:04Speaker 1: She's the Galactus of aw That's what's going on here.
- 20:08Speaker 2: So I don't know where where to next? I don't know.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I mean, do they have independent wrestling in Antarctica?
- 20:14Speaker 2: Is there someplace? Maybe there? You know?
- 20:17Speaker 1: She can bundle up? And I have no idea. I'm
- 20:21Speaker 1: sure she's not done. I think she wants to get
- 20:23Speaker 1: to double digits. I think she wants ten titles. We'll see.
- 20:28Speaker 1: But she walks out here, and it's ridiculous because she
- 20:31Speaker 1: has the belts wedged in her waistband because she can't
- 20:35Speaker 1: possibly carry all of them. So she's got the TBS
- 20:38Speaker 1: title around her waist. All these other titles are basically
- 20:40Speaker 1: hanging off of her. She needs assistance from a production
- 20:45Speaker 1: assistantor whoever it is, a ringside to help her into
- 20:49Speaker 1: the ring. So she and this is her first appearance
- 20:52Speaker 1: on TV, by the way, since she lost to Tony
- 20:54Speaker 1: Storm in Texas last month. She gets into the ring
- 20:58Speaker 1: and now she's handing off her belts one at a time,
- 21:01Speaker 1: feeding them to Aubrey Edwards. But she's got the one
- 21:06Speaker 1: title on her that matters in this situation, which is
- 21:10Speaker 1: the TBS title. As she confronts Alex Windsor, who is
- 21:13Speaker 1: going to be part of a four way match now
- 21:16Speaker 1: at Forbidden Door, for the championship. So as Tony Storm
- 21:22Speaker 1: gets into the ring to get ready to join Alex
- 21:25Speaker 1: Windsor in case shit goes down, she doesn't notice that
- 21:29Speaker 1: Athena has climbed up to the top and she comes
- 21:32Speaker 1: flying in with an O face and she drops Tony Storm.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Mercedes Monnet then hits Alex Windsor with a backstabber when
- 21:41Speaker 1: Windsor turns around to see what's going on. So now
- 21:43Speaker 1: she's down on the mat and we have Mercedes and
- 21:46Speaker 1: we have Athena, and they come face to face in
- 21:49Speaker 1: the middle of the ring. They don't touch, they don't embrace,
- 21:53Speaker 1: they don't shake hands, but they don't touch. It's almost
- 21:55Speaker 1: like there's this understood, unsaid truce between them, and Athena
- 22:01Speaker 1: ends up leaving the ring. So winsor getting a championship
- 22:05Speaker 1: match in London seemed like the obvious outcome here. I mean,
- 22:10Speaker 1: obviously her connection to London, so her being the aw
- 22:13Speaker 1: representative in that match seems, you know, seem pretty predictable
- 22:18Speaker 1: coming into this. I will say though, she and Aminada
- 22:21Speaker 1: in this match, they looked like they were really laying
- 22:23Speaker 1: laying those.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Shots in on each other, which was good, you know.
- 22:27Speaker 1: It looked good. Brett Hart may not like that very much.
- 22:30Speaker 1: He's probably not a fan of this match, but I
- 22:33Speaker 1: thought that was good, and so Windsor earns a spot
- 22:36Speaker 1: in the four way. There's two more spots yet to
- 22:40Speaker 1: be filled. One spot will be filled by a CMLL talent.
- 22:45Speaker 1: One spot will be filled by a stardom talent, and
- 22:48Speaker 1: that is going to be the Mercedes match at Forbidden Door,
- 22:51Speaker 1: and the TBS title will be on the line. So
- 22:53Speaker 1: if they wanted to take that championship off for her
- 22:55Speaker 1: in that match, she wouldn't have to take the losing fall.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 23:00Speaker 1: It doesn't feel to me like this is going to
- 23:01Speaker 1: be a title change. I think that it would be
- 23:05Speaker 1: a waste. Honestly, she's had that title for over a year.
- 23:09Speaker 1: She's had it for so long that I feel like
- 23:11Speaker 1: when she loses it, it should be decisively one on
- 23:14Speaker 1: one to somebody on the aw roster, not a stardom talent,
- 23:19Speaker 1: not a CMLL talent. I know MJF has a CMLL belt.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I don't give a shit. When she loses the TBS title,
- 23:26Speaker 1: it needs to be to someone in that division, on
- 23:29Speaker 1: that roster, and it should be one on one so
- 23:33Speaker 1: I'm pulling for her to win at Forbidden Door because
- 23:35Speaker 1: after all this time, if she just drops it in
- 23:38Speaker 1: a fucking four way, especially to somebody who may not
- 23:41Speaker 1: even be on the roster, like what a fucking waste
- 23:45Speaker 1: that would be. I don't know who the other two
- 23:48Speaker 1: people are gonna be it. Shit could be a great match,
- 23:50Speaker 1: but Mercedes should absolutely not be losing that match. And
- 23:55Speaker 1: we'll see if we get a tag team match between
- 23:56Speaker 1: now and then on TV. This felt like it was
- 23:58Speaker 1: setting up Tony Store and Alex Windsor against Mercedes and Athena,
- 24:03Speaker 1: so we'll see if that actually happens. Renee was backstage
- 24:08Speaker 1: earlier today with the Young Bucks and was asking them
- 24:13Speaker 1: if they had been paying attention to the success that
- 24:16Speaker 1: Brodido That, of course is Bandido and Brodie king the
- 24:20Speaker 1: success that they've had of late. Nick Jackson said that
- 24:23Speaker 1: there's some serious disrespect going on here. Matt grabbed Charlie,
- 24:28Speaker 1: the stagehand who was nearby, and yelled at him for
- 24:31Speaker 1: their lackluster entrance last week, handed him some notes, said.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Give these to Justin Roberts.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Make sure that we get the right introduction this week,
- 24:41Speaker 1: the respectful introduction this week, so Renee I keep mentioning her.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I said she was all over the place tonight. They
- 24:52Speaker 1: go to commercial, they come back, it's right back to Renee.
- 24:56Speaker 1: But she was in the ring this time to introduce
- 24:59Speaker 1: the brand new Tea champion at Long Last, Kyle Fletcher.
- 25:04Speaker 1: He won the championship on collision last week from Dustin Rhodes.
- 25:08Speaker 1: He comes out with not all the members of the
- 25:11Speaker 1: Callus family. Okada wasn't there. I didn't see Takeshta, but
- 25:16Speaker 1: whatever members there were, the Callous family is in the
- 25:19Speaker 1: ring and there is clearly a painting of some kind,
- 25:23Speaker 1: either a giant poster on a poster board or a
- 25:26Speaker 1: painting or something. We can't see what it is. It's
- 25:29Speaker 1: covered by a tarp, but that is sitting in the
- 25:31Speaker 1: middle of the ring. So Renee said that it was
- 25:34Speaker 1: a hard fought, gruesome battle, very bloody battle against Dustin Roads.
- 25:39Speaker 1: On collision, she gets cut off by Don Callus, who said,
- 25:43Speaker 1: why is he building the largest faction in all of wrestling.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Power says, if you want power in this business, you
- 25:51Speaker 1: cast your eyes on the gold, and when you have gold,
- 25:54Speaker 1: you control destiny. Callous brings up Kazuchka. Ocada is three
- 25:59Speaker 1: Tide and now Fletcher's TNT title. Much like Okada put
- 26:04Speaker 1: Kenny Omega on the shelf, Fletcher might have ended Dustin
- 26:09Speaker 1: Rhodes' career entirely. Fletcher said that Dustin got exactly what
- 26:14Speaker 1: he deserved for stealing his moment at all. In, he said,
- 26:17Speaker 1: a sixty year old man doesn't deserve to be in
- 26:19Speaker 1: the ring with the proto star. And it's not only
- 26:23Speaker 1: not the only favorite that he has put on the shelf.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Who knows that we'll see Adam Cole ever again? So
- 26:30Speaker 1: Fletcher said he fulfilled his destiny by winning the TNT title,
- 26:34Speaker 1: but now it's about legacy. And Callous said that he
- 26:37Speaker 1: knows Fletcher will be the greatest TNT champion of all time.
- 26:40Speaker 1: And he has spent the last two days slaving away.
- 26:44Speaker 1: He can still feel the paint under his fingers as
- 26:48Speaker 1: if he painted this thing all by himself. Fletcher wants
- 26:52Speaker 1: to see this painting, so it's time to unveil what's
- 26:55Speaker 1: underneath the tarp, and they pull the tarp off, and
- 26:58Speaker 1: it is a painting of Kyle Fletcher and Don Callous,
- 27:02Speaker 1: and both of them are ridiculously ripped in this painting.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Basically They did the same thing with Callous and Kenny
- 27:12Speaker 1: Omega a few years ago. Actually, they might have done
- 27:15Speaker 1: it with somebody else too, and I don't remember who
- 27:19Speaker 1: that would have been, but they did it with him
- 27:20Speaker 1: in Omega. Maybe it was Jericho. So now he's got
- 27:25Speaker 1: one here with Kyle Fletcher. I wonder where all these
- 27:27Speaker 1: paintings go. I wonder if Callus gets to take them
- 27:32Speaker 1: home and put them on his wall at home. I
- 27:34Speaker 1: don't know, but Kyle Fletcher is very impressed, and he
- 27:40Speaker 1: says that it's the greatest gift he's ever received. Must
- 27:44Speaker 1: have been a really sad life and a sad childhood
- 27:47Speaker 1: for Kyle Fletcher, but it's the greatest gift he's ever received.
- 27:50Speaker 1: He knows that he owes all of his success to
- 27:52Speaker 1: don Kallus. Fletcher's very first defense to the TNT title
- 27:56Speaker 1: will be this Saturday on Collision, as Fletcher will be
- 27:59Speaker 1: the ta N champion, he says.
- 28:01Speaker 2: For a very very, very very long time.
- 28:07Speaker 1: So if you didn't see the match, Dustin Rhodes and
- 28:10Speaker 1: Kyle Fletcher had a very bloody, hardcore match on Collision
- 28:15Speaker 1: last week. I know Dave Meltzer made a whole big
- 28:20Speaker 1: deal about it. He gave it five stars. I mean,
- 28:21Speaker 1: of course he did so, but as far as those
- 28:25Speaker 1: types of matches go, it was a very violent, bloody match.
- 28:29Speaker 1: At one point, Dustin had a screwdriver that visually was
- 28:33Speaker 1: sticking out of his knee and he had to be
- 28:36Speaker 1: carried out and they were teasing that he was injured.
- 28:40Speaker 1: And then Dustin made the announcement on social media that
- 28:43Speaker 1: he had some MRIs done and his doctors told him
- 28:47Speaker 1: that he was going to need some very invasive major
- 28:49Speaker 1: surgery and he's blaming it on Kyle Fletcher. Basically, they
- 28:52Speaker 1: shot that angle to cover for the fact that he
- 28:55Speaker 1: needs double knee replacement surgery, which is a big deal
- 28:59Speaker 1: for someone who is still an active performer and not
- 29:02Speaker 1: a young active performer. He said he's having a double
- 29:05Speaker 1: knee replacement, but he's not done yet. He's going to
- 29:08Speaker 1: be back. He's fifty six years old getting a double
- 29:12Speaker 1: knee replacement. I don't know if he's going to be back.
- 29:15Speaker 1: That seems very ambitious. It's good to have goals. I
- 29:19Speaker 1: can understand him wanting to come back because he still
- 29:22Speaker 1: feels young at heart, and Dustin is still able to
- 29:24Speaker 1: go out there and perform but you know what, if
- 29:28Speaker 1: this was it for him, I feel like he got
- 29:31Speaker 1: to win the TNT Championship. He got that great moment
- 29:35Speaker 1: in Texas, so he got to say, okay, I'm a
- 29:38Speaker 1: singles champion. In aw Not only was he a singles champion,
- 29:42Speaker 1: but he's got two tag team titles in Ring of Honor, right,
- 29:45Speaker 1: the Trio's titles or six man whatever they're called, and
- 29:49Speaker 1: the ROH tag team titles with Sammy Gavara. As far
- 29:52Speaker 1: as I know, I think he still has both those belts,
- 29:54Speaker 1: and I would imagine those are going to have to
- 29:56Speaker 1: be vacated now. I can't think of a better way
- 29:59Speaker 1: to go out if you're Dustin Rhodes. And by the way,
- 30:02Speaker 1: great timing on resigning that new contract recently, that new
- 30:05Speaker 1: six year deal that he signed. He got that in
- 30:08Speaker 1: right under the radar. But I mean, the guy was
- 30:11Speaker 1: draped in gold and just went out and had this
- 30:14Speaker 1: you know, fucking knockdown, drag out fight and put over
- 30:18Speaker 1: Kyle Fletcher. You know again, I can't think of a
- 30:21Speaker 1: better way to go out if that ends up being
- 30:24Speaker 1: his last match, But he seems to be intent that
- 30:27Speaker 1: it's not his last match, so hopefully everything will go well,
- 30:31Speaker 1: that's a tough thing. I mean, there are wrestler's kurt
- 30:34Speaker 1: angle I think that have had both knees done at
- 30:37Speaker 1: the same time. You know, one of them is tough enough,
- 30:42Speaker 1: but to do both at the same time, that's gonna
- 30:45Speaker 1: be rough. That's gonna be rough. But we'll see what happens.
- 30:48Speaker 1: As far as whether or not he makes it back.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Don Kalus's head scar is gnarly, says Mattie Cakes. He
- 30:57Speaker 1: paints it in. You could tell he paints the scar
- 31:01Speaker 1: to make it look brighter and worse than it is.
- 31:03Speaker 1: It's actually kind of funny. There's no way he's walking
- 31:07Speaker 1: around with a scar that looks like that in real
- 31:09Speaker 1: life unless he's painting it in, putting some makeup on it.
- 31:14Speaker 2: I mean, it works for him, it seems to be.
- 31:17Speaker 1: It makes it look like it's getting brighter and brighter
- 31:19Speaker 1: every single week. Alicia at two Holy Shit, someone other
- 31:26Speaker 1: than Renee Piquette was in the back with Adam Copeland,
- 31:32Speaker 1: who said that he didn't know how to take Christian
- 31:34Speaker 1: Cage's non apology last week because it's clear that Christian
- 31:37Speaker 1: has learned nothing. Cope said that he has his hands
- 31:40Speaker 1: full with Nick Kip and Shana. Well, Cope has his
- 31:44Speaker 1: hands full with FTR and Stokely Hathaway, so he got
- 31:48Speaker 1: a hold of Tony Kahan and next week it's going
- 31:51Speaker 1: to be for the first time ever, one on one,
- 31:55Speaker 1: it's going to be Copeland against Stokely Hathaway. Cope said
- 32:01Speaker 1: that it'll be up to FTR if they want to
- 32:03Speaker 1: break their order of protection that they placed upon him,
- 32:05Speaker 1: because they don't want Cope coming near them. So it's
- 32:09Speaker 1: up to them. You could break the restraining order and
- 32:11Speaker 1: come after me if you want to, or you could
- 32:14Speaker 1: stand in the back and watch your boy over here
- 32:16Speaker 1: get slaughtered. Because the choice is yours. So basically, if
- 32:22Speaker 1: FTR interferes here, their restraining order is null and void,
- 32:26Speaker 1: and then Copeland can come after them now in the back. Later,
- 32:30Speaker 1: Alicia spoke to FTR and FTR and Stokely Hathaway and
- 32:35Speaker 1: they said, they see right through Adam. They know that
- 32:38Speaker 1: you know he's playing games here, they know what he's doing.
- 32:43Speaker 1: But remember they got that order of protection against him
- 32:46Speaker 1: for his protection so that his daughters could grow up
- 32:49Speaker 1: with their father. Don't make them do this. Stokely then
- 32:55Speaker 1: was very upset. He said, look, at me. I'm not
- 32:58Speaker 1: a professional wrestler. I'm also injured. He still has the
- 33:02Speaker 1: crutch under his arm. He goes, I'm short, I'm bald,
- 33:06Speaker 1: I can't get any hose. I've been fighting my entire life.
- 33:10Speaker 1: If you want you want a fighter, I can fight.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I may not be a wrestler, he says. But I'm
- 33:14Speaker 1: a fighter. But that's what he said. He's short, he's bald,
- 33:18Speaker 1: he can't get any hose. But he's been brawling all
- 33:21Speaker 1: of his life, and FTR had to calm him down.
- 33:25Speaker 1: He said that he's going to have a smile on
- 33:27Speaker 1: his face when Cope has to go home and look
- 33:29Speaker 1: at his wife, who's got the head of a micro brawler,
- 33:32Speaker 1: and his future juvenile delinquent kids and tell them that
- 33:36Speaker 1: he got pinned by Stokely Hathaway.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Stokely is great. It's going on. Jake. We got Jake,
- 33:46Speaker 2: the original tribal chief is with us in the chat.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Dustin has had more gold, says Joey, than he had
- 33:55Speaker 1: as gold dust. Yeah, I mean the last few months.
- 34:00Speaker 1: The guy's walking around. He's the closest thing to a
- 34:02Speaker 1: male version of Mercedes. He's like the male belt collector. Lately,
- 34:06Speaker 1: in this company. I mean seriously, again, if you wanted
- 34:09Speaker 1: to go out on a high note, he doesn't get
- 34:12Speaker 1: any higher than that. So then we had the high
- 34:16Speaker 1: point talking about highs. High point of the show the
- 34:20Speaker 1: Young Bucks against Brodido. That's Brody King and the Ring
- 34:26Speaker 1: of Honor World Champion Bandido. This is the semi finals
- 34:29Speaker 1: of the Tag Team Eliminator Tournament. The winners go on
- 34:32Speaker 1: to the finals to wrestle FTR. The winners of that
- 34:35Speaker 1: match challenge the Hurt Syndicate at Forbidden Door. So during
- 34:40Speaker 1: the Young Bucks entrance, the set malfunctioned. Basically, there was
- 34:44Speaker 1: a screen that was supposed to rise up. It rose
- 34:46Speaker 1: up only a few inches and then it got stuck.
- 34:50Speaker 1: So they're trying to like force it up. It's not
- 34:52Speaker 1: going up. So they were forced to crawl underneath the
- 34:55Speaker 1: screen to make their way out onto the stage.
- 34:58Speaker 2: And remember the I know earlier that they.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Handed off to the production assistant the stage hand to
- 35:04Speaker 1: give to Justin Roberts for him to read. Well, Justin
- 35:08Speaker 1: did read it, but he ended up reading it verbatim
- 35:11Speaker 1: exactly as it was written, so like instructions in all
- 35:15Speaker 1: and it was just a list of complaints that they had.
- 35:18Speaker 1: So then they do their young bucks pose they're waiting
- 35:21Speaker 1: for the pyro to go off. There's no pyro initially,
- 35:26Speaker 1: and then there's like two very pathetic little bursts of
- 35:29Speaker 1: pyro that shoot off to little pyro streams. Then they
- 35:35Speaker 1: also had the lower third on the screen, little kyron
- 35:37Speaker 1: on the bottom of the screen, and it's listed their
- 35:40Speaker 1: names as Max and Jeremy Buck. Now, of course that's
- 35:45Speaker 1: going back aways because they were Max and Jeremy Buck
- 35:48Speaker 1: in TNA.
- 35:50Speaker 2: That was see, that was great. When I saw the.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Max and Jeremy named plate on the bottom of the screen,
- 35:53Speaker 1: I said, Okay, that's that's fucking that's fucking funny. I
- 35:57Speaker 1: was going back to the Generation Me days of TNA.
- 36:02Speaker 1: So again, I've been very entertained by these jabber entrances
- 36:05Speaker 1: that they've been getting over the last few weeks. Bandido
- 36:09Speaker 1: took down Matt and Nick with a torneo. Brody King
- 36:12Speaker 1: tagged in took out both Bucks with a double clothesline.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Bandido then used Brody's assistance to scale the ropes and
- 36:18Speaker 1: land of Moon Salt onto both bucks on the floor.
- 36:22Speaker 1: The Bucks took control, though after a break, Nick flew
- 36:24Speaker 1: in with a springboard hurrican Arana on Brody before sending
- 36:27Speaker 1: Bandido crashing outside risky business on Brody King, who kicked out.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Nick continued to keep the big man down in the corner.
- 36:36Speaker 1: We got an assisted sliced bread into a running boot
- 36:39Speaker 1: that got in near fall. Matt wanted more bang for
- 36:42Speaker 1: your buck, collapsed though under the weight of Brody King.
- 36:46Speaker 1: With him on his back, King fired off a forearm
- 36:50Speaker 1: flatten Nick in midair. Bandido made the tag. Nick hit
- 36:53Speaker 1: his slingshot facebuster on Bandido and then the comeback moon
- 36:56Speaker 1: salt on the floor to Brody King. As the Bucks
- 37:00Speaker 1: followed up with the assisted swanton only for two King
- 37:04Speaker 1: got low bridged. After making the save, Matt hit a
- 37:07Speaker 1: blockbuster off the apron. Nick connected on an escalera onto
- 37:12Speaker 1: Bandido that took us into a second commercial break. So
- 37:16Speaker 1: the Bucks couldn't decide on what to call the EVP trigger.
- 37:20Speaker 1: It's not the EVP trigger anymore, so they're arguing about
- 37:23Speaker 1: this in the middle of the match. That caused enough
- 37:26Speaker 1: of a delay to allow Bandido to dodge it make
- 37:29Speaker 1: the hot tag to Brody There was this great spot,
- 37:33Speaker 1: this great double team spot where Brody King was by
- 37:37Speaker 1: the ropes. The bucks are outside, and Bandido was going
- 37:41Speaker 1: to obviously do some kind of a dive. So he runs,
- 37:43Speaker 1: he hits the ropes and he comes off, and basically
- 37:48Speaker 1: King helped launch him a little bit higher into the air.
- 37:51Speaker 1: And I mean, really it was a very basic dive,
- 37:53Speaker 1: but it looked great because Bandido got this hangtime. It's
- 37:57Speaker 1: almost like he was suspended in mid air for like
- 38:00Speaker 1: a good couple of seconds there before he actually landed
- 38:03Speaker 1: on the bucks and everybody popped and it got over great.
- 38:07Speaker 1: It just it looked great. Bandido is awesome. I mean,
- 38:11Speaker 1: I know I've said it before. It doesn't take a
- 38:14Speaker 1: rocket scientist to figure it out, but Bandido is fucking great.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Even before he got.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Injured with the wrist, and now we're going back like
- 38:22Speaker 1: a year and a half, it sucked that he got
- 38:26Speaker 1: hurt because even then he was building momentum and he
- 38:29Speaker 1: hadn't even been on TV for that long, like people
- 38:32Speaker 1: knew who he was, but he was still relatively new
- 38:34Speaker 1: to the company. But he gets over. It doesn't matter
- 38:37Speaker 1: what crowd he's in front of. He's just a fun
- 38:40Speaker 1: performer to watch, and obviously he's a tremendous athlete. And
- 38:44Speaker 1: the stuff he does in there is unbelievable, but it's
- 38:48Speaker 1: just it's cool to see him getting that exposure and
- 38:52Speaker 1: getting over in front of whatever crowd he might be in.
- 38:55Speaker 2: It's been consistent with him.
- 38:57Speaker 1: From day one, so I'm glad he was able to
- 38:59Speaker 1: make it back from the injury and basically pick up
- 39:01Speaker 1: where he left off.
- 39:03Speaker 2: So that was a great spot we had.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Matt. He was into the ring with a facebuster on Bandido,
- 39:11Speaker 1: but he got crouched in the corner by Brody.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Who hit a huge superplex.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Brodido tried their double team catapult monkey flip that they do. Bandido,
- 39:21Speaker 1: though crashed and burned hard on the mat TK driver
- 39:25Speaker 1: connected by the bucks King broke up the count, so
- 39:29Speaker 1: Matt scaled the ropes. He spiked Bandido with a DDT
- 39:32Speaker 1: on the apron, immediately went and tried to do the
- 39:35Speaker 1: exact same thing on the apron to Brody King, but
- 39:38Speaker 1: he was able to catch him in mid air. He
- 39:41Speaker 1: powered him up into a death valley driver on the apron.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Nick was there though, to save his brother with the
- 39:47Speaker 1: tornado DDT off the apron to the floor to Brody King,
- 39:51Speaker 1: Nick and Bandido. They fought while both men stood on
- 39:54Speaker 1: the barricade. We had like a little duel standing on
- 39:57Speaker 1: top of the barricade here and and Nick hit a superkick.
- 40:02Speaker 1: He charged Bandido press slammed him up into the air,
- 40:06Speaker 1: and then dropped him down onto his brother, all while
- 40:09Speaker 1: standing on the barricade. Back inside, Bandido hit the twenty
- 40:13Speaker 1: one plex to Matt, but Nick broke up the pin.
- 40:15Speaker 1: King wiped out Nick with a toe pey. Bandido flatten
- 40:19Speaker 1: Matt with an avalanche fallaway slam, only for a two
- 40:23Speaker 1: count sent on from King. This time Broddo was successful,
- 40:27Speaker 1: landing the monkey flip four fifty splash and they got
- 40:31Speaker 1: the pin. The highlight of the show was this match
- 40:36Speaker 1: right here. This was an excellent match, a surprising outcome
- 40:41Speaker 1: for some I mean not for me, But I could
- 40:43Speaker 1: see where some people might be shocked by that outcome, figuring, oh,
- 40:47Speaker 1: of course they're gonna do the FTR Bucks rematch in
- 40:49Speaker 1: the finals of the tournament. But it never it never
- 40:52Speaker 1: made any sense to me. Like to me, I would
- 40:55Speaker 1: have had the Outrunners win in the opening round. I
- 40:59Speaker 1: was surprised and disappointed when they had them beat the
- 41:01Speaker 1: Outrunners again. But when I say again, I mean the
- 41:07Speaker 1: Outrunners have lost most of the big matches they've been
- 41:10Speaker 1: in recently, including two matches with FTR, so that was
- 41:14Speaker 1: a little surprising to me. Them not going to the
- 41:18Speaker 1: finals to do two heeled teams against each other should
- 41:21Speaker 1: not have really been a surprise to anybody. And again
- 41:25Speaker 1: they're doing their whole down and their luck thing. They
- 41:27Speaker 1: lost the EVP titles, they're getting job job or entrances.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Everyone's making fun of them, like it's okay for the
- 41:33Speaker 1: Bucks to lose. It kind of fits the gimmick that
- 41:36Speaker 1: they're doing right now. Nothing is going right for these two.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Broddo is a great team. I mean that name is
- 41:43Speaker 1: I mean whatever I mean. I guess it kind of
- 41:45Speaker 1: makes sense. But it's this team that came out of
- 41:48Speaker 1: nowhere and they work great together and they're already super over.
- 41:53Speaker 1: But what I love about it is now we get
- 41:55Speaker 1: not only a great match in the finals where we
- 41:56Speaker 1: get them against FTR. But again, you could argue for
- 42:00Speaker 1: either one of those teams to go on to wrestle
- 42:03Speaker 1: the Hurt Syndicate in London. FTR would seem to make
- 42:05Speaker 1: the most sense. I would imagine it's going to be
- 42:08Speaker 1: them going to the pay per view, but it can
- 42:11Speaker 1: very easily be Brody Kingham Bandido.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Why not.
- 42:15Speaker 1: If you want a solid, baby faced team to go
- 42:18Speaker 1: in there against the Hurt Syndicate.
- 42:20Speaker 2: There you go, you got one right there.
- 42:23Speaker 1: FTR probably is going to be the choice at the
- 42:27Speaker 1: end of all this. They're probably gonna get that shot.
- 42:30Speaker 1: But this is great. Yeah, I think this is a
- 42:33Speaker 1: great final match that they've set up. Now it's the
- 42:35Speaker 1: correct outcome. But whoever it is that goes in there
- 42:40Speaker 1: against the Hurt Syndicate, either way, the Hurt Syndicate should
- 42:43Speaker 1: lose those titles. If Forbidden Door had those titles for
- 42:47Speaker 1: a very long time, and I think the time has come. Well,
- 42:52Speaker 1: whether or not you want MJF to get involved in
- 42:54Speaker 1: that and kind of cost them the match because there's
- 42:57Speaker 1: been issues, he.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Was kicked out.
- 42:59Speaker 1: He's not even part of the Hurt Syndicate anymore. You
- 43:02Speaker 1: could do that, I mean, that would be their way
- 43:04Speaker 1: of sort of protecting Lashlee in Benjamin if they didn't
- 43:06Speaker 1: want them to just get beat clean.
- 43:09Speaker 2: You could certainly do that.
- 43:10Speaker 1: But I am of the opinion that the time has
- 43:12Speaker 1: come and they should drop those belts at Forbidden Door. Now,
- 43:18Speaker 1: Renee was backstage with the Hurt Syndicate. MVP extends a
- 43:23Speaker 1: congratulations to Brodido for winning the match, and they will
- 43:27Speaker 1: be more than happy to hurt them or FTR forbidden door,
- 43:30Speaker 1: it doesn't matter.
- 43:32Speaker 2: MJF walks in.
- 43:35Speaker 1: And Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin immediately turn and leave.
- 43:39Speaker 1: So now it's just MVP and MJF. And MJF says, look,
- 43:44Speaker 1: you and me have known each other since.
- 43:46Speaker 2: I was eighteen years old. Says, so we don't.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Need Shelton and Bob. We can win the aw World
- 43:52Speaker 1: Championship together. MVP said, look, you don't get it. Men,
- 43:59Speaker 1: You just don't understand like they hurt people. But ever
- 44:04Speaker 1: since you've joined the group, it's been all about me, me, me, me, me,
- 44:08Speaker 1: and your ego. He goes, and that's coming for me.
- 44:13Speaker 1: He gave Max the thumbs down. MVP said that out
- 44:16Speaker 1: of respect, they'll leave him healthy enough to go off
- 44:19Speaker 1: and challenge for the world title. Says MJF is like
- 44:23Speaker 1: a little brother to him, which is why he hopes
- 44:26Speaker 1: MJF loses in his title match when he gets it,
- 44:30Speaker 1: because if he wins, he was very clear here in
- 44:34Speaker 1: no uncertain terms that if you go on to win
- 44:36Speaker 1: that championship. Bobby Lashley is coming after you, and it's
- 44:40Speaker 1: not going to end well for you. Now, let me
- 44:45Speaker 1: dive into this report from yesterday. Fight Ful dropped a
- 44:50Speaker 1: report got a lot of play today regarding MVP and
- 44:53Speaker 1: the Hurt Syndicate, and it's been reported that MVP has
- 44:58Speaker 1: rubbed a lot of people the world. Backstage inaw says
- 45:04Speaker 1: this sentiment has been expressed by a number of talents
- 45:07Speaker 1: on the rosters. Supposedly, MJF has made it known that
- 45:10Speaker 1: he does not like Speedball.
- 45:12Speaker 2: Mike Bailey.
- 45:13Speaker 1: I mean, you talk about a random news item that
- 45:16Speaker 1: came from out of nowhere, like, okay, he.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Doesn't like Speedball.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Mike Bailey doesn't say why he doesn't like Speedball, he
- 45:24Speaker 1: just doesn't like him, and allegedly did not want Bobby
- 45:29Speaker 1: Lashley and Shelton Benjamin losing to Jet Speed when they
- 45:32Speaker 1: have their tag team title match. It's not clear why
- 45:35Speaker 1: MVP dislikes Bailey or if the Hurt Syndicate was ever
- 45:39Speaker 1: actually planned to lose to Jet Speed. The report also
- 45:43Speaker 1: states that MVP turned down pitches for the Hurt Syndicate
- 45:46Speaker 1: to lose to FTR at all in and at Forbidden Door.
- 45:51Speaker 1: MVP reportedly suggested they would rather lose to the Gates
- 45:55Speaker 1: of Agony, the Outrunners or Private Party, all teams that
- 46:01Speaker 1: they have I believe wrestled and beaten in the past.
- 46:05Speaker 1: I don't know about the Gates of Agony. Maybe they
- 46:07Speaker 1: didn't wrestle them, but I know they've wrestled the other teams.
- 46:12Speaker 1: There is said to be frustration within the aw locker
- 46:15Speaker 1: room that the Faction beats everybody up and then goes
- 46:18Speaker 1: and high fives the fans and does cool moves when
- 46:21Speaker 1: they're supposed to be heels. It was also noted that
- 46:24Speaker 1: the story aligne with MJF was originally supposed to go longer,
- 46:28Speaker 1: although there is no reported heat between MJF and the
- 46:31Speaker 1: Hurt Syndicate. So that was the report that came out
- 46:36Speaker 1: last night. Now I don't know. I don't know whether
- 46:43Speaker 1: or not MVP has turned down pitches for the Hurt
- 46:48Speaker 1: Syndicate to lose the tag team titles. I don't know, frankly,
- 46:53Speaker 1: why he would be in a position to tell Tony
- 46:55Speaker 1: Khan what teams the Hurt Syndicate should or should not
- 47:00Speaker 1: be losing to. Because now you're getting into a creative
- 47:04Speaker 1: control issue right, or it may not be written into
- 47:07Speaker 1: an actual written contract. But where you have people who
- 47:12Speaker 1: feel like, you know what the old Hogan thing, you
- 47:15Speaker 1: know that don't work for me, brother, and you know,
- 47:18Speaker 1: you start getting into that and that's where you get
- 47:20Speaker 1: yourself into trouble. So that doesn't even make a whole
- 47:23Speaker 1: lot of sense to me. Tony Khan is the boss.
- 47:26Speaker 1: If Tony Khan wanted to Hurt Syndicates to lose to FTR,
- 47:29Speaker 1: then the Hurt Syndicate is losing to FTR. And if
- 47:32Speaker 1: Tony Khan wanted the Hurt Syndicate to drop the tag
- 47:34Speaker 1: team titles to the Outrunners, then guess what they're losing
- 47:38Speaker 1: to the Outrunners. So I'm not quite sure you know
- 47:42Speaker 1: what the issue is here or why MVP would even
- 47:45Speaker 1: be in that position in the first place. Now, as
- 47:47Speaker 1: far as the Mike Bailey stuff is concerned, I did
- 47:50Speaker 1: notice during the show tonight there was something that he
- 47:55Speaker 1: posted on his social media, a fun little skit like
- 47:58Speaker 1: a little twenty or thirty second video on social media
- 48:01Speaker 1: where the Hurt Syndicate is walking along backstage and they
- 48:05Speaker 1: run into Speedball in the hallway who's filming and MVP
- 48:11Speaker 1: just walks up to him and goes, fuck you, Speedball,
- 48:15Speaker 1: and Speedball goes, fuck you too, MVP, and then there
- 48:19Speaker 1: was some other dialogue and then it was over. So
- 48:20Speaker 1: obviously they're just playing having fun with the report and
- 48:23Speaker 1: playing off of it. That does not necessarily mean the
- 48:27Speaker 1: report is inaccurate. It just means that it could be
- 48:32Speaker 1: accurate and it's not all that serious, and they're just
- 48:35Speaker 1: having some fun with it to try to.
- 48:36Speaker 2: Diffuse the situation.
- 48:38Speaker 1: But I don't know if MVP dislikes Mike Bailey or not. Frankly,
- 48:43Speaker 1: I don't really give a shit, And as long as
- 48:45Speaker 1: it doesn't interfere with their ability to work together and
- 48:48Speaker 1: cause any problems in that respect, I don't really see
- 48:51Speaker 1: what the big deal is. If MVP for some reason
- 48:54Speaker 1: doesn't like Mike Bailey, Okay, so what. There's a lot
- 48:57Speaker 1: of people that I don't like. But if I don't
- 49:01Speaker 1: have to work with them, or I feel like I
- 49:04Speaker 1: could get along with them if I had to, then
- 49:06Speaker 1: I don't see what the issue is here. There's probably
- 49:09Speaker 1: a lot of people in that locker room that don't
- 49:11Speaker 1: like each other. There's probably people in every wrestling locker
- 49:14Speaker 1: room that don't like each other, or have people on
- 49:17Speaker 1: the roster that they don't care for as long as
- 49:21Speaker 1: they're not you know, going at it tooth and nail,
- 49:23Speaker 1: as long as it's not causing drama in the locker
- 49:26Speaker 1: room and problems.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Who gives a shit.
- 49:30Speaker 1: I read that report and was more taken aback by
- 49:33Speaker 1: the whole idea that MVP would be vetoing, you know,
- 49:36Speaker 1: ideas for who would be the hurt syndicates. See that shit,
- 49:39Speaker 1: can't stand. That should not be happening. Hopefully it isn't
- 49:44Speaker 1: happening now. As far as the idea that, well, he
- 49:48Speaker 1: doesn't want them to lose the titles to I guess
- 49:50Speaker 1: an established team like FTR, but would prefer that if
- 49:54Speaker 1: they were going to drop the belts, they drop them
- 49:56Speaker 1: to the Outrunners, right, Sure, that would be great. Wait, look,
- 50:00Speaker 1: I was all for the Outrunners winning the tournament and
- 50:02Speaker 1: going to London, Like I'd be okay with that and
- 50:06Speaker 1: really you know, pushing those guys well, like it said,
- 50:10Speaker 1: the gates of agony. The gates of agony are fucking
- 50:12Speaker 1: heels right now with Ricochet right and they got bounced
- 50:15Speaker 1: out of the opening round of the tournament. The gates
- 50:18Speaker 1: of agony winning the tournament and going to Forbidden Door
- 50:20Speaker 1: to wrestle the hurt sind Kit would be stupid. Doesn't
- 50:22Speaker 1: make any sense. Private Party, I'm like, where the fuck
- 50:26Speaker 1: did that come from? Private Party was destroyed by these men.
- 50:31Speaker 1: They have not been seen since, to the point where
- 50:34Speaker 1: there's reports now there were being interest from NXT. They
- 50:36Speaker 1: may end up in NXT, which is probably where they
- 50:40Speaker 1: should be. You've already killed them. There's no coming back
- 50:45Speaker 1: from that. There was never any serious push for Private Party.
- 50:50Speaker 1: They put the belts on them last year. The Bucks
- 50:52Speaker 1: lost the belt to them on the five year anniversary show,
- 50:56Speaker 1: and what the hell did Private Party do after that?
- 50:58Speaker 1: They were made to look like absolute keek and then
- 51:01Speaker 1: they were beaten decisively, and I don't think they have
- 51:04Speaker 1: been seen since. So the idea that we're going to
- 51:07Speaker 1: revive Private Party and have them win the titles for like, no,
- 51:11Speaker 1: you're not. There's there's zero percent chance of that happening.
- 51:16Speaker 1: It's over, it's done. They've been destroyed. So what are
- 51:21Speaker 1: we looking at. We're looking at FTR, We're looking at FTR,
- 51:25Speaker 1: maybe even Brodido. The outrunners got bounced out of the
- 51:29Speaker 1: opening round of this tournament, but I suppose you could
- 51:32Speaker 1: always still build a story around them, you know, clawing
- 51:35Speaker 1: their way back. There's not a lot of great options
- 51:38Speaker 1: right now, to be honest with you, and I just
- 51:39Speaker 1: look ahead to like All Out, and if the plan
- 51:42Speaker 1: is to reunite Copeland and Christian on that show and
- 51:44Speaker 1: they wrestle FTR, I still feel like you could you
- 51:48Speaker 1: could have the tag team titles on the line in
- 51:51Speaker 1: that match, because I'm sure Tony Kahm would love to
- 51:53Speaker 1: get those tag team titles one time on Cope and Christian.
- 51:58Speaker 1: It doesn't have to be a title, man, but it
- 52:00Speaker 1: would make it a bigger match if the titles were
- 52:02Speaker 1: on the line. The idea that man, they could recapture
- 52:07Speaker 1: tag team goal for the first time in I don't
- 52:10Speaker 1: even know how many years it's been since Copeland and
- 52:13Speaker 1: Christian were tag team champions together. To do that, you
- 52:16Speaker 1: would have to get the belts on FTR. That's why
- 52:19Speaker 1: FTR makes sense right now. So I could appreciate the idea, Well,
- 52:23Speaker 1: we want to put over a younger team and not
- 52:26Speaker 1: one of the established, you know, former champion veteran teams.
- 52:31Speaker 1: But I see some of the names on that list,
- 52:34Speaker 1: and they just don't make any sense to me. Even
- 52:36Speaker 1: Jet Speed would have made more sense, and they killed
- 52:40Speaker 1: them off too. I don't have any interest in going
- 52:43Speaker 1: back to jet Speed again. Who else is there other
- 52:47Speaker 1: than the teams I just mentioned? Who else is there?
- 52:49Speaker 2: The Bucks?
- 52:51Speaker 1: I mean sw Yeah, the Osprey injury is too bad
- 52:54Speaker 1: because I think Swerve an Osprey could have been an
- 52:58Speaker 1: option there, kept that going for a little while longer,
- 53:02Speaker 1: but with Osprey's injury that just was impossible, so they
- 53:05Speaker 1: had him move on.
- 53:06Speaker 2: You know, So Swerve is working with Okada, so that's
- 53:08Speaker 2: off the table.
- 53:09Speaker 1: But yeah, this whole idea, if there is any truth
- 53:12Speaker 1: to it of MVP vetoing ideas for who they should
- 53:15Speaker 1: lose to, again, that's not his job. Right to my
- 53:20Speaker 1: knowledge and everyone else's knowledge, he wasn't given that power.
- 53:23Speaker 1: Maybe he was, and if he was, that's pretty fucking
- 53:26Speaker 1: stupid on Tony Kahn's part. But assuming that's not the case,
- 53:30Speaker 1: then he's in no position to be vetoing and approving anything.
- 53:33Speaker 1: Tony Khan is the guy who is running the show.
- 53:37Speaker 1: What he says goes period, end of story. That's where
- 53:41Speaker 1: the drama ends. All this other stuff is just nonsense.
- 53:48Speaker 1: We got a video package hyping up the Unified Championship
- 53:53Speaker 1: match at Forbidden Door between Kazushka Okada and Swerve Strickland Renee.
- 54:00Speaker 1: This time she was in the aisle. They've moved her
- 54:01Speaker 1: around the entire building. At one point she was actually
- 54:04Speaker 1: in the parking lot when Mercedes Monea I didn't mention that.
- 54:08Speaker 1: So when Mercedes arrived, she was in the parking lot.
- 54:10Speaker 1: So she's gone from the parking lot to the back.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Now she's in the aisle. She introduced the Swerve and
- 54:15Speaker 1: Prince Nana they come out. Swarve said that he had
- 54:19Speaker 1: to put down his good friend will Osprey last year
- 54:22Speaker 1: at Forbidden Door, and if he could do that to
- 54:25Speaker 1: his friend, what does Okata think he could do to him?
- 54:29Speaker 2: He said.
- 54:29Speaker 1: People say Okata is a legend, right, He's a legend
- 54:32Speaker 1: of Japanese wrestling, but no one will ever be able
- 54:36Speaker 1: to replicate Swerve Strickland. And he explained that he lost
- 54:40Speaker 1: some of the biggest matches of his career in London
- 54:43Speaker 1: and he would use the opportunity against Okada to cement
- 54:46Speaker 1: his legacy and knock the chip off his shoulder.
- 54:48Speaker 2: He said that he would.
- 54:49Speaker 1: Claim the Unified Championship and make his claim to being
- 54:52Speaker 1: the greatest of all time.
- 54:55Speaker 2: This was good.
- 54:56Speaker 1: This was a good promo here, short and simple fans
- 55:01Speaker 1: enjoyed it. We had no Okada on the show. The
- 55:05Speaker 1: build so far has been, you know, pretty basic. We
- 55:08Speaker 1: still have a few weeks left. I'm not sure what
- 55:11Speaker 1: they're gonna do. I think the match itself should be
- 55:14Speaker 1: very good, but as a promo, I thought this was
- 55:17Speaker 1: very good. Now they went backstage two Alisha too. She
- 55:22Speaker 1: asked Mark Briscoe about the main event coming up. He
- 55:24Speaker 1: said that he couldn't wait to get his hands on
- 55:26Speaker 1: MJF and give him the beating he deserves. Alisha then
- 55:30Speaker 1: said that he has won three consecutive Dynamite main events
- 55:34Speaker 1: and winning tonight could mean a shot potentially at the
- 55:36Speaker 1: AW World Championship. And wouldn't you know, at that exact moment,
- 55:42Speaker 1: we had the AW World champion walk in, so his
- 55:45Speaker 1: first and only appearance so far of the night. Hangman
- 55:47Speaker 1: Adam Page walks in and he's looking at Mark and
- 55:50Speaker 1: he says, we've known each other a long time. Pwx
- 55:55Speaker 1: roh new Japan. AW. He said that while he's always
- 56:01Speaker 1: admired the Briscoes it's what Mark has done over the
- 56:05Speaker 1: past few years that's made that respect even stronger for him.
- 56:09Speaker 1: And he said that he hopes if Briscoe wins, that
- 56:11Speaker 1: means he gets a world title shot, and he wishes
- 56:13Speaker 1: him luck and he shakes his hand, and that set
- 56:17Speaker 1: up what we would be getting momentarily here in the
- 56:20Speaker 1: main event, Renee was back Yeah, I'm gonna record myself
- 56:24Speaker 1: saying this, so it'll be a lot easier for me
- 56:26Speaker 1: to have a button that I could push where I
- 56:28Speaker 1: just say. Renee was backstage like one of those fucking
- 56:32Speaker 1: dolls where you pull the thing the string in the back.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Renee was backstage with Queen Amanada, who was disappointed that
- 56:42Speaker 1: she didn't win the four way match tonight. She said
- 56:44Speaker 1: that she felt like she could have been Mercedes Monette
- 56:48Speaker 1: if she had the opportunity, or beaten Mercedes Monette, or
- 56:52Speaker 1: she could beat Mercedes Monette if she just had the
- 56:55Speaker 1: opportunity to do so. Willow Nightingale walked up and said
- 56:58Speaker 1: that she was sorry she didn't win earlier, but she
- 57:00Speaker 1: gave a great performance. She said that she would get
- 57:03Speaker 1: her revenge on Saturday, when the two of them faced
- 57:06Speaker 1: the Triangle of madness.
- 57:09Speaker 2: That's Tekla and her new crew.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Chris Statlander walked up and she was acting very insincere,
- 57:17Speaker 1: pretending to be all about women supporting women. Willow told
- 57:22Speaker 1: her off for being a fraud, and Statlander stormed off.
- 57:26Speaker 1: I don't know when this frenemies thing with her and
- 57:31Speaker 1: Willow is gonna play itself out and when it's gonna
- 57:35Speaker 1: end and resolve itself, but it just feels like it's
- 57:38Speaker 1: been dragging on for a while now, and hopefully we
- 57:42Speaker 1: are rapidly approaching whatever the payoff to this is going
- 57:45Speaker 1: to be. That there's been a lot of chatter about
- 57:47Speaker 1: women's tag team titles. Tony Khan has already confirmed the
- 57:50Speaker 1: physical belts have been made, right, they're probably sitting in
- 57:53Speaker 1: his vault. He's got one of those giant vaults at
- 57:56Speaker 1: home with the thing. You know, you put the combination
- 57:59Speaker 1: this way, you put the combination that way, it opens up,
- 58:01Speaker 1: and he's got probably fucking belts galore sitting in a
- 58:04Speaker 1: vault somewhere. But he delayed plans because there's been so
- 58:08Speaker 1: many injuries in the women's division, Like even just coming
- 58:11Speaker 1: out of the Casino Gauntlet in Texas, there were a
- 58:13Speaker 1: bunch of women who ended up hurt Mina shirakawas she
- 58:16Speaker 1: broke her hand. SHUREI from Stardom, who was in that match,
- 58:20Speaker 1: ended up in having elbow surgery. I think later that
- 58:23Speaker 1: week thunder Rosa got hurt, so she's going to be
- 58:27Speaker 1: taking some time off. Jamie Hayter is still gone. No
- 58:31Speaker 1: idea what the update is on her. Last time we
- 58:35Speaker 1: saw her, she was attacked by Teclo and Tecla made
- 58:39Speaker 1: her debut. But I mean I still go back to
- 58:41Speaker 1: the match with Mercedes in the O and when she
- 58:44Speaker 1: got spiked on her head near the end of that match,
- 58:47Speaker 1: and she hasn't done anything since. Harley Cameron is still out.
- 58:51Speaker 1: There might be one or two other people I'm not
- 58:53Speaker 1: thinking of. So he really doesn't want to put together
- 58:56Speaker 1: another tournament. He said with half the roster that he
- 59:01Speaker 1: would normally have access to. We're gonna get women's tag
- 59:04Speaker 1: team titles, and when we do, could we see Chris
- 59:07Speaker 1: stat Lander and Willow you know, end up as the
- 59:11Speaker 1: first ever women's tag team champions in AAW. I think
- 59:15Speaker 1: we can. I think they would probably be at the
- 59:18Speaker 1: top of the list right now of likeliest you know
- 59:21Speaker 1: teams to walk away with those titles. So they're coming,
- 59:25Speaker 1: we just don't know when. I mean, they could take
- 59:26Speaker 1: their time. No Rush, no Rush. The main event was MJF.
- 59:33Speaker 1: Also no roushe on this show, He'll be on collision.
- 59:38Speaker 1: The main event of this show was MJF one on
- 59:41Speaker 1: one with Mark Briscoe, and as Renee pointed out earlier
- 59:45Speaker 1: in the show, this was the fourth straight week that
- 59:49Speaker 1: Mark Briscoe has been in the main event of this show.
- 59:52Speaker 1: He was on the winning side of a trios match
- 59:55Speaker 1: a few weeks ago over the Death Riders. He got
- 59:58Speaker 1: to win over Claudio, he got to win over Ricochet
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: last week, and now here we are him against MJF.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: The match very early in, spilled out into the crowd.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: They brawled around, made their way back to ringside. Brisco
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: hit a neck beard. He yeah, sitting in the front row.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: He hit a neck breaker on the floor, a little
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: slip of the tongue there, and then he set up
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: a table outside the ring. Brisco set up for a
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: froggy bow.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: MJF, though, got to.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: His feet, pulled the referee into the line of fire
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: to cause a diversion, and in the middle of all
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: this he poked.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: Brisco in the eye.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Brisco started to comeback as the show returned from Brake.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: He took to the top rope. MJF.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: They'll rolled to the floor. Brisco jumped down to the apron.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: He delivered an elbow drop on the outside tossed MJF
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: back into the ring, but he rolled right back out
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: to the floor on the opposite side of the ring.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Brisco then dove out onto MJF and sent him into
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: the barricade. He placed MJF onto the table that was
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: set up at ringside, and he climbed up to the
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: top rope. MJF then rolled off the table and back
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: into the ring. He cut Brisco off with a kick
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: and then dropped him with an Alabama slam. MJF applied
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: to Boston Crab. Brisco rolled him into an inside cradle,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: only for two. Brisco came up with a bloody mouth.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: At that point, he climbed to the top again and
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: MJF knocked him down. MJF set up for a tombstone.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: He's gonna give this guy a tombstone. Pile of driver
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: from the middle rope. We've seen him do this a
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: few times before. Brisco escaped sent MJF back down with
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: an uppercut. Brisco then delivered froggy bow made a late
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: cover though.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: So we only got two.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: So they ended up on the floor again and again.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Brisco sets MJF up on the table. He took to
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: the top rope. He launched himself. MJF, though, moved out
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: of the way and Mark Briscoe crashed and burned through
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: the table. That table exploded upon impact. MJF rolled into
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: the ring. He was more than happy to take the
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: count out. When referee starts counting Briscoe. He got up,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: but he fell down at eight. Got back up though,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: got back into the ring just in time. MJF delivered
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: a heat seeker and he covered him and the referee
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: counted three. Despite the fact that Mark Briscoe got his
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: foot on the bottom rope. Somehow he did not see this,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: so Briscoe pleaded his case to the referee to no avail.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: MJF assaulted him after the match. He punched him in
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: the face after putting on the dynamite diamond ring, which
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: busted Briscoe open, so now he was bleeding and it
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: also brought out Hangman Adam Page, MJF and Page they brawled,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: they had to be separated by officials. MJF escaped into
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: the crowd. Hangman went to go check on Briscoe, and
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: MJF returned to the scene to go run his mouth.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: So Hangman and MJF brawled into the craft for a
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: little bit. They came back to ringside, Hangman set up
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: for a buckshot. Lariot I thought they were going to
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: cut the show off because the copyright was.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Already up on screen.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: They were already almost ten minutes past the hour, and
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: so he's setting up for a buck shot and MJF
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: ducks out of the ring on the opposite side to
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: avoid that, and that is how the show went off
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: the air. But again, this show had a good like
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: ten minute or almost ten minute overrun that really was
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: not warranted. Like this show tonight did not warrant a
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: ten minute overrun. It was not needed. The match itself
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: was okay. It felt like a good chunk of it
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: though was just Mark Briscoe climbing. He would climb to
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: the top, MJF would roll away, he'd climb down, and
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: then he'd climb up again. So there was a lot
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: of that here in this match. The finish, though, it
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: leaves open the possibility two things. Either we're going to
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: get another match one on one between MJF and brisco
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: possibly with a stipulation. They could do it on TV
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: in the next couple of weeks, and the winner of
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: that match formally will become number one contender for the
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: world title, and that could be the match against Hangman
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: at Forbidden Door. The other option is that Mark brisco
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: gets added to this match.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: We get Hangman in MJF.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: But Mark Briscoe gets added because he's really been getting
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: quite the push over the last few weeks. Maybe they
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: want him in that match. Maybe they want him and
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: he's earned the right to have a spot in a
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: pay per view title match main event, and we get
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: a triple threat. That match doesn't really appeal to me.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: For being honest, I'd rather it be one on one.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: The match should be Hangman and MJF, not Hangman and
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Mark Briscoe. So I hope that that's the scenario that
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: you know, plays itself out if in fact they're going
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: to do that match. I mean, obviously Hangman to be
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: on that show. If he's going to be on the show,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: he should be defending his Championship. You know, the match
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: against MJF is the one that makes the most sense.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: So on the whole, I thought it was a solid show.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: You know, they kept the death Rider stuff to a minimum,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: which is what I've been hoping for coming out of
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Forbidden Door, so it was limited to the opening segment.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: They're doing the stuff with Moxley and Darby. They took
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: a big step tonight towards making it official for Forbidden Door.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: We got that great tag team tournament match with the
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Young Bucks the women's four way. It left something to
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: be desired, but it's set up one challenger at least
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: for Mercedes.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: At Forbidden Door.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Kyle Fletcher had his first promo as the TNT champion,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: which was very pedestrian stuff, but I'm glad they finally
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: put the title on him. And then the main event
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: angle that I just talked about that was Dynamite tonight.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Now Collision is back to its normal Saturday slot.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: This week. They've got Kyle Fletcher.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: He mentioned he's gonna be defending the TNT Championship for
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: the first time. He will be defending that TNT Championship
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: against tomohiro Ishi, not a Forbidden Door we're doing it
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: on Collision. See that's part of the problem with Forbidden Door.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: By the way, I feel like we get Forbidden Door
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: on these shows almost weekly. Forbidden Door, I mean, it
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: might still sell tickets. I get why he's doing it,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: but let's be honest. The bloom is off the Rose.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: The bloom is off. The bloom has been off the rose.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: But we get matches like that almost weekly on these
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: shows with talent from other promotions. So unless you save
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: like these super big inter promotional matches that people really
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: want to see on that show, Like, what is even.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: The point of it anymore? You know what I mean?
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Like the weekly television like aw in general has become
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: the Forbidden Door. You don't really need that one show anymore.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: So the other matches on College and we have Willow Queen,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: am Nada and ty Mellow against the Triangle of Madness,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Tekla Julia Hart and Skyblue Hangman and Jet Speed Hangman's
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Wrestling on Collision. They're gonna be taking on Lafoxion, Ingo Bernable,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: so Rouche Dra Listico and the Beast Mortos Dynamite. Next
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: week only has two matches announced. What a lineup this is?
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: We got John Moxley against Kevin Knight and Adam Copeland against.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Stokely Hathaway, So there you go.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: They did not say when the finals of the tag
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: team tournament is going to be. That would be a
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: big match to do next week, you know, FTR against
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: the Brodido and I mean that's a match that should
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: be on Dynamite and not on Collision, So they might
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: add that to the card next week.
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: But those are the lineups for the next couple of shows.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: As we continue down the road to Forbid Door on
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: the twenty fourth, you know, the end of this month,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: there's gonna be a lot of international shows from both companies,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: so aw I are they doing TV the week before overseas?
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: I don't know, But August twenty fourth is Forbidden Door,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: and I'm gonna have to come up with a plan
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: here because the last two weekends of August there's an
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: AW pay per view from the UK that's probably gonna
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: start at I would imagine one o'clock or three o'clock
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: in the afternoon East Coast time. Then the Sunday after
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: that is Clash in Paris, which has a two o'clock
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Eastern start time. Obviously, I do my Sunday show, so
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: that show for those two weeks is probably gonna have
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: to go up a day early, and then we'll figure
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: out the rest of it. You know, with all this
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: talk about VPNs and stuff, now would be a good
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: time to grab one. Don't forget WWE's got a bunch
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: of European raws and smackdowns coming up in a few weeks.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: They got their first TV ever in Dublin. They're doing
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: some shows. I don't know if it's the UK or
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: or where else. They're going to be France obviously, so
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: there's a lot of international flavor coming up here for
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: the remainder of August.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: So get ready. Here's the Twitter poll.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: We're doing it a little differently now, how would you
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: grade Dynamite, ABC or D. There is no F because
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: I'm only allowed four options on X, ABC or D.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Eighteen percent gave this show an A, twenty four percent
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: gave this show a B, twenty one percent AC, and
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: thirty six percent.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Gave this show a D. Go vote at Solo Monster.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: This week's episode is sponsored by Express VPN. You know,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: Jaws is the ultimate summer movie, one of the greatest
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: movies ever made. It's the fiftieth anniversary this year too
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: of its release. Imagine going scuba diving in those waters
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: right now. Imagine going scuba diving in a suit made
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: out of meat. That's a good way to become shark food.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: That's what going online without ExpressVPN is like scuba diving
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: in a meat suit. Doesn't sound like the smartest idea,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: does it. Every time you connect to a network that
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: has no encryption, whether it's at a restaurant, at the airport,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: maybe at your hotel, you need to know that your
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: personal data is not secure. Any hacker on that same
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: network can gain access to and steal your sensitive information
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: like passwords, bank logins, or credit card details. What a
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: pain in that, you know what? That would be? Good
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: luck changing all of that, and that's the least of
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: your problems. If they make purchases with any of your accounts,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: your data is valuable. Hackers can make up to one
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: thousand dollars per person selling your information on the dark web.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: ExpressVPN stops hackers from stealing your data by creating a secure,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: encrypted tunnel between your device and the internet. ExpressVPN is
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: also the best VPN because it's super secure. It would
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: take a hacker with a supercomputer over a billion years
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: to get past EXPRESSVPNS encryption. It's also easy to use
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: with the tap of a button in the app, and
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: it works across all of your devices phones, laptops, tablets,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: and more. It also comes with Identity Defender, a new
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: suite of tools to get your data removed from data brokers,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: alert you when your data appears on the dark web,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: and even insure you against data theft for up to
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: a million dollars. There's a reason ExpressVPN is ranked number
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: one by top tech reviewers like c Net and The Verge.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I use ExpressVPN whenever I'm on the road, like at
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: the airport of the hotel, so I know it keeps
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: me private, and that's important to me because I need
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: my information to be uncompromised. It's just a headache that
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: I do not need. If my data falls into the
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: wrong hands, it would be an absolute nightmare.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Why risk it?
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Why risk it when there's an easy solution available to
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: avoid all of that. I choose to be pro active,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: not reactive, and you should too. Secure your online data

- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Kallis and mother Wayne Kfabe marry each other and merge
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: both families. Yeah, I don't think so. I think she
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: could do better than Don Kallas. Joseph Stewart Raven posted
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: today that they made an autobiography movie called Quote the
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Raven Nevermore about his life and will be released this month.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: I did see something about that. I did see something
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: about that. He says was Raven's gimmick in ECW and
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: WCW based off of Nirvana's Kirk Cobain. I believe there
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: was some influence there. Yes, I don't want to say
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: it's based off of Kurt Cobain, but I believe that
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: there is some influence there. Joseph also says, with another
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: nine ninety nine and how different would Deborah McMichael's career
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: in WCW and wrestling have been if she was Raven's
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: love interest in Raven's flock in WCW. That's wow, boy,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: that's a weird relationship there. I don't know how you
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: put the two of them together A what a random question.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: I don't think that would have worked. I think that
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: would have actually been very bad for her career. Bad
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: career move. Ravens flock didn't really last very long. Joseph
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Stewart says, what is your favorite Nirvana song? I mean,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: I always every time DDP would come out, how can
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: you not think of smells like teen Spirit? It was
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: such a ripoff, but it's a great song. I mean
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: it was popular for a reason. I mean there are
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: other songs, but I always go back to that one.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Like if I have kind of think of my playlist
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: any Nirvana songs, I think there's two of them, maybe
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: three's that's one of.
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: Them, so I'll go with that one.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Death Sithe. What do you think of Gunther as the Terminator?
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: If it got a remake gun as the Terminator? That
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: that doesn't work. I don't I don't see the vision there.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: I don't see the vision. I think that's a terminator
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: being miscast. I see him as kind of like an
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: evil crime syndicate boss.
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: I think that works.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Joseph Stewart was Cain originally supposed to wear a cape.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: He did wear a cape. Initially, he wore a cape.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: There's pictures of it. It might have just been once, honestly,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: at Madison Square Garden and they tried that out and
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: they ditched the cape, which was obviously the right move
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: to make, because it's just pretty pretty silly to be
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: walking around with a cape if you want people to
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: take you seriously. So it's like Undertaker. You know, his
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: original name was Kane the Undertaker. They tried that out
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: for a while and then and that was on TV
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: he was called Kane the Undertaker, and they dropped that
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: out for a while too. So, oh we got Joseph.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Do you think Eddie Guerrero is Raymisterio's greatest rival of
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: all time?
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: I would say so. Either that or tall cabinets. Joseph says,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: were you a fan of Raven's TNA run in the
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: mid two thousands. No, I really wasn't paying much attention
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: to that run. Honestly, have you seen the set photos
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: of The Rock as Maui for the live action Moana movie.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: I have not.
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: I was aware that they were doing it, but I
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: have not seen photos. And where would you rank the
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Rock as the greatest wrestler of all time? I mean
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: he's obviously in the upper mix, but I mean he's not.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: I mean my list, whatever that list looks like he's
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: not top top five or anything. He's not on my
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Mount Rushmore. Where he falls on that list, I don't know.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: So I mean he's up there, but I can't tell
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: you exactly where. It's not like top three or top five.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: For me, we have got a gorilla. If bro Dido
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: doesn't win those belts, I riot and get weird looks.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: From my neighbors. So good it was worth reading a
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: second time, a gorilla. Thank you man.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: Joseph says, buy or sell Raven versus Tommy Dreamer matches
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: or Raven versus Sandman matches Raven versus Tommy Dreamer. I'm
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: gonna buy on that. I'm gonna sell on Raven against Sandman.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: Do you think Vampiro could have been a big star
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: in wrestling? Vampiro actually was a big star in wrestling.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Not so much in the domestic promotions here, but in
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Mexico he was a huge star. Could he have been
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: a bigger star here?
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: He could have.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: A gorilla again. There he is, here is the man himself.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: We got Joseph. What are your thoughts on Stone Cold
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: Steve Austin's ECW run. I think that it probably helped
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: play a role in getting him the job that he
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: got with WWF. I think it was pretty important. It
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: was very brief, but I think it was pretty important,
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: kind of getting him on the radar again after he
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: got fired from WCW. Bobert reviews the twenty eight dollars
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: super chat.
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: Bobert, thank you.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Come as you are as another good one from Nirvana,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: And I wouldn't say my number one favorite, but just
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: to kind of throw that one out there.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: What are your thoughts on.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: Cactus Jack's run in ECW. What I remember of it?
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: I enjoyed. I remember more about his run in WCW.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I can rattle up more great matches he had there
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: than I can in his ECW run.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: I wasn't paying as much attention.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: To his ECW run, But in WCW man the Match,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: the Beach Blast match with Sting is a classic, and
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: the Halloween Havoc match with Vader, and actually they had
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: multiple matches that.
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: Were quite good and vicious, but the Halloween.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: Having ninety three one in particular, So those are the
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: ones that really stand out to me, like pre wwe Yeah,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: heart Shaped Box it's another good one. Before his match
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: again is Hollywood Hogan at Stark nineteen ninety six. Why
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: did Roddy Piper go to jail and cut those promo?
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: I think he went to Alcatraz? Right, were those of
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: the promos because he was fucking crazy. That's why Piper
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: was out of his mind, why he did the things
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: he did. I mean, you're asking the wrong person, and
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: unfortunately we can't ask him anymore.
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: Nash DTV.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: Are you concerned at all about YouTube's new policy that
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: makes users have to give IDs if the AI thinks
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: that you're under eighteen? No, I mean if again, it's
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: a policy that only applies to people who are under
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: a certain age, so it might be a nuisance for
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: some people, but.
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: I'm not worried.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I mean, if they were making every user do that,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: that might be different.
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: Death Side.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I hope we get Samoa Joe against Kazuska Okada at
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: some point. Okada loves calling people bitch, and given their history,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: he used to be Joe's bitch. I'd like to see
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: the match, Joseph says, were you a fan of WCW's
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: thunder theme song?
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: I liked it.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: I didn't like it as much as the Nitrop theme,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: but I liked it. Chris williams, if you could change
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: one wrestler's finisher, doesn't matter what company, who would you
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: pick and what finisher would you give them? I would
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: give Bailey a new finisher because her finisher sucks. Get
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: rid of the rose plant? What would I give her?
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: I mean, I mean the belly to Bailey works fine,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: but maybe I'd give her a submission, maybe like a
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: chicken wing, like a crossfaced chicken wing.
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: Via the rose plants. Gotta go duffs VIDs.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: I got arrested by an attractive lady officer. She read
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: me my rights, and when she said, anything you say
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: ken and will be held against you, I said, Boobs,
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: you forgot the second half of that when you were
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: tazed and beaten with a Billy club. Joseph Steward, do
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: you remember on Raw when Billy Gunn and road Dog
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: pushed a dumpster that had Cactus, Jack and Terry funking.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: It off the stage.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: Remember it, I remember the night had happened. That was
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: a huge angle. That was a big angle at the time.
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: That was when the stages were more than two feet
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: off the ground. And then they completely negated the entire
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: angle at the end of the show, and they came
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: back from the hospital and their hospital gowns and their
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: IV poles rolling them down the ramp and they just
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: turned it into comedy. But they played it off as
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: a very serious angle. I remember Sonny was all the
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: wrestlers in the side of the stage and Sonny was
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: in tears, crying, and everyone was mad at the Outlaws.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: That's when the Outlaws were first really starting to get
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: themselves over, and then a few weeks later they were
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: in DX changed their entire career.
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: Ed Swaggle says, Oscar has the chicken wing basic. Ah, yeah,
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: I guess she does.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: We don't want to steal Oscar's move. Now, what move
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: could we give to Bailey. Let's come up with a
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: move for Bailey.
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: Something that's easy, easy to apply or easy to hit.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: I don't know what would be really impactful for her
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: to do death side.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: When someone says, don't be a pussy, just say pussies
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: are the toughest thing on the planet. They can take
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: a pounding and birth another human being. That's true, That's
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: very true. Some babies are born very big too. You
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: can have a twelve pounder. Try to visualize that, Glad,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: that's not me. Joseph Stewart. Have you seen the movie
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: La Confidential with Kim Basinger and Kurt Russell?
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: Never did, No.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: I remember when it came out, but I just didn't
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: have any interest in seeing it. I am a big
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: Kurt Russell fan, though I probably should see it. Kurt
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: Russell is awesome. And then Big Trouble in Little China,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: the thing he did a movie back in ninety seven
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: wasn't a blockbuster or anything, but it's a favorite movie
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: of mine called Breakdown.
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: Snake Pliskin obviously in the Escape from New York Escape
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: from LA movies.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and what was it Tombstone or white erp.
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: That he was in.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: Duff's VIDs? What do you call a witch that lives
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: on a beach a sand witch? A sand witch? Joseph Stewart,
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: do you think Bo Dallas will ever be a main
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: inventor with the Uncle Howdie gimmick.
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: No, No, he will not.
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: I don't think Bo Dallas will ever be a main
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: event period Duff's VIDs. How do you say what's up?
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: Dog?
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: In Japanese kine chi wallah. I had to repeat that
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: in my head just to get the punchline. If I
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: have to do that, it's not the best. It's not
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: the best job. I like your last one, see the Sandwich,
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: that's the one right there. We need more like that,
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: all right? So he was in Tombstone, Kevin Costner was.
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: In white Er.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: Yeah, my favorite Kurt Russell movie is still The Thing.
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: Lost. Dill.
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: Just want to be clear, I know that more than
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: Becky and Hayman knew about Seth's injury. My comment Monday
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: night was joke, just clarifying that I'm a mark.
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: Not an idiot. Love you Solo.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: You'd have to worry about that. I already forgot what
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: the comment was. It's already forgotten.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: It's right.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: R J McCready from the thing. It's always a lot
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: of fan theories about that ending and what it means.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: Was one of them. The thing beas beer says Bear
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: hug for Bailey, just do the belly to Bailey.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: Just stick with that. It worked for her in NX take.
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: It's still worked now. We don't really have to overthink this.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: Uh Duff's VIDs. What do you call an emo a capella?
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: Self harmony? Self harmony?
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: Oh my god?
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: The Juliet says, the only real forbidden door at this
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: point is WWE versus AW matches pretty much. Yeah, if
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: you want the real forbidden door, it's the one that
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: we're not gonna get. That's about the only one left.
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: Everyone's working with everyone, which is great. I think that's
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: a great thing. But this idea of the forbidden door,
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: I mean, it meant something when it started. What year
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: was it, twenty twenty two? Three years later doesn't quite
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: pack the same punch. Ruby Goose in retrospect, How does
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: Rock's seven year absence from WWE compare to Punk's seven
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: year wrestling absence? Who has done better since their return?
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: The Rock has.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: If you just look at it in terms of just
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: pure business, The Rock has made far more money for
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: the company anyway since coming back them. Punk has just
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: those first two WrestleMania matches that he did in twenty
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: twelve and twenty thirteen. They made a fuck ton of
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: money on that.
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: That Rock scene.
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: Imagine, WrestleMania twenty eight was the biggest buy rate in
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: WrestleMania history. You know, buy rates aren't really a thing
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: anymore because they're not in the pay per view business anymore.
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: But whatever they did prior to that, that easily topped it,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: you know, and then Rock coming in and doing the
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: whole Final Boss thing and everything basically kind of saved
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: WrestleMania last year because they pivoted and they went to
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: that character and it all worked out. But just I
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: think in terms of the business and the money they've
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: generated since Rock came back, because he came back such
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: a big star, it's got to be Rock. Joseph Stewart
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: looking back, now, do you think it was a good
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: idea for Cain to unmask in two thousand and three?
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it was.
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: I mean, you could have kept it on him a
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: little while longer, but at some point it was inevitable
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: to evolve the character and kind of add longevity to
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: it because that initial period when he unmasked and they
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: had the black towel and he was being let out
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: in chains like that was a badass version of Kine
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: like it was working. So we can quibble about when
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: they did it, but I think it was inevitable the
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: mask was going to have to come off, or he
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: would have wanted the mask to come off.
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: Isaac.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: Did you see the trailer for Jordan Peel's Him. No,
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: I haven't, but I've seen these commercials for this new
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: movie Weapons, which is out later this week, well tomorrow, tomorrow,
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: I believe, and I'm thinking about it.
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: It looks pretty interesting.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: It's funny that Julia Garner's in that movie, and then
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: she was in the fucking Fantastic four movie. I just
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: saw She's the silver surfer in the movie. Joseph Stewart
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: was Raven WCW theme song based off of the Nirvana
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: song Come As You Are Yes, and Ddp's was a
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: playoff of Smells Light Teen Spirit. Jimmy Hart had a
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: way of taking songs, other songs and just changing a
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: note or reversing the beat, or doing some small little
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: tweak and turning it into a wrestler theme song, and
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: it was still better than the crap we get from
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: Deaf Rebel these days. I would gladly take that WCW
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: music from back in the early nineties and the mid
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: nineties and the late nineties over a lot of the
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: generic sounding crap that they come up with now. Even
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: the generic sounding crap from then sounds better than the
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: generic sounding crap from now. I don't know why that is,
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: but even that sounded better. It breaks my heart when
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: I listened to when Rick Rude comes out, I finally
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: went back and caught up. They posted a video on
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: the WWE vault. I think two weeks ago, maybe maybe
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: a week and a half ago. It was three hours
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: of Rick Rude matches. I go, I gotta check this out.
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: So it's taken me like ten days to get through it,
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: and it breaks my heart every time there's an old
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: WWF match of his. I don't know who owns that music.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: Like the porn music that he used to come out to,
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: is the best way I could describe it. Like the
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: stripper music that he used to come out to, but
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: they dub over it with this awful like replacement version.
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: I wish they would dub in the.
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: WCW song that he uses, because when they show the
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: WCW matches, they use his WCW theme song the simply
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: Ravishing song, which is on Spotify and I was just
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: listening to it the other day.
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: It's a fucking great song.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: I don't know why they don't just kind of dub
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: over the WWF theme with that one. The theme they
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: use is fucking horrendous. It is so like it ruins
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: the entire entrance. It's so awful, dude, it is so bad.
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: If anybody from the vault is gonna come across this
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: or watching this, because I know they're always looking for suggestions, please,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: for the love of God, just take the WCW theme
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: and dub that over the WWF theme. Please, it would
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: be so much better. Bass Beer says a bear hug
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: for Bailey. Joseph Stewart. Do you know why Sting went
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: back to the black and white face paint instead of
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: keeping the red and black face paint of the Wolfpack
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: when he came back to WCW television in March of
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: nineteen ninety nine. I mean, I don't think he was
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: part of the Wolfpack at that point, right. Black and
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: white was the character that got over the most. Black
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: and white is a classic look. I don't know that
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: he was with the Wolfpack anymore. At that point Duff's
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: VIDs why are balloons bad for the economy?
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: They deflate?
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: Snow Dog says simply, ravishing is better than his stripper theme.
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: I I might agree with you on that.
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: I liked his WWF theme, but his WCW theme probably
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: is slightly superior. And Jeremy Rose Lex Luger's WCW theme
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: was an under I can't even speak. Lex Luger's WCW
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: theme was an undercover banger. Yeah, it's stock music. I've
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: heard it in commercials many times over the years, so
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: it was the Hardy Boys music. It's a production song.
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: It is great, though, I god, I snatched it years ago.
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: There was a site that had it.
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: It's got a name. I think it's call let me see.
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: Hold on a second, Hold on a second. It has
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: a name. I think it's called Slammer. I think it's
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: I don't know what production catalog it's a part of.
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: There used to be one called Beatnik many years ago,
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: but it's called Slammer, I do believe. And Duff's VIDs.
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: I just got high. I just got hit hired. I
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: just got hit hired at the guillotine factory. I'll be
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: heading there tomorrow. You suck botched the super chat and
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: and got shouted off the stage. I think he means
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: I just got hired at the Guillotine Factory. B Money,
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: Oh four nine to ninety nine? Hey, b Money, what's
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: going on? Man? Did you see WWE's Vault channel uploaded
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: dark matches between bretton Bulldog a month before the Summer
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: Slim ninety two match and at Jake Roberts Rick Martel
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: blindfold match a month before the WrestleMania seven Blindfold match.
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: The Brett Bulldog match I watched the other day. I
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: believe that was the match Brett talked about in his
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: book where when he came backstage, Vince McMahon went up
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: to him and said, I hope your Summer Slam match
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: is better than that. He wasn't very impressed with that match,
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: and I think that was the last time Brett saw
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: Bulldog before the match at Wembley, because Bulldog went home
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: for the summer. I think he might have had a
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: knee injury, and according to Brett anyway, he spent you
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: know the next whatever it was, two months smoking crack
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: with the Jim Knightheart. That's why I came time for
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: the match at Wembley. He goes Brett, I'm fuked. I
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: forgot what I'm supposed to do. I'm fuked. The Martel
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: Jake blindfold match. It's on my watch list. I have
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: not watched it yet. I didn't know they did the
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: like a dry run for the blindfold match. See, that's
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: the kind of shit that I love from the Vault.
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: I will be watching that. That's on my to do list.
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: They also uploaded a dark match from ninety one between
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: Hogan and Flair that I believe was on their unreleased
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: Matches DVD they put out many years ago. I know
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: I've seen it before somewhere, but it's still crazy to
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: see them in the ring together during the entrances, and
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: you've got Big Gold and the Winged Eagle like in
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: the ring at the same time.
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: Yeah, the Vault is awesome. And there's a bunch of
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: them too.
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: I mean, there's the WWF Vault, the WCW Vault, there's
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: an NXT vault, and I think they that the page
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: is basically like reserved for the ECW Vault. They just
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: haven't started uploading content there. This is almost certainly going
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: to be an ECW vault at some point, but by
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: far the one I spend the most time on is
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: the WWF vault.
- 1:40:34Speaker 2: So the goal was.
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: Minimum four hundred likes for be the Booker, and I
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: am happy to say that we have hit the goal.
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: Did I ever see the Desert Storm match? Was that
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: from Madison Square Garden with Hogan and Slaughter? I believe,
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: I believe I did Groovy Goose. Do you have a
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: favorite Beatles song and or member? I don't, sorry, the Beatles,
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: the Monkeys, all that stuff. I don't have a fit.
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: Who did the Yellow Submarine? Is that the Beatles?
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: I'll go with that. I'll go with the Yellow Submarine.
- 1:41:29Speaker 2: That's my favorite. Let's be the Booker, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:41:33Speaker 2: It is now time to be the Booker, all right.
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: You know it's a good night on a Wednesday when
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: we hit the goal, so we could do some be
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: the Booker, all right, tag team, be the Booker.
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: There's a lot of tag teams in here who are
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: in the vault. In all that vault content, we got
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: some classic teams in here. This is in one of them.
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: But they were a pretty good team team. Hell no,
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: by the way, that right there, I want you to
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: take a look at Caine in that image. That right
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: there is the shittiest version of Cain out of all
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: the masked versions of Cain that he had that outfit,
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: that look, the fake wig, I don't know what the
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: hell that shit is supposed to be on his gear.
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: He looks like complete shit in that in that gear.
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: I hate this version of Kane. I hate that mask.
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: I hate everything I hate. I hate this version of Kane.
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: Absolutely hated that mask. And wig doesn't even look like
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: it fits his fucking head anyway. Team hell no, let's see.
- 1:42:56Speaker 2: Who they're getting in the ring with.
- 1:42:59Speaker 1: Oh boy, yeah, Pat Patterson and Gerald Briscoe, the Stooges. Look,
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: I was entertained by the Stooges, but I mean, you know,
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: putting them in the ring with Caine and Daniel Brian,
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: I think we could do better. I think we could
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: do better. That's all I'm saying. Concessions Cane. I'll take
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: concessions Cane over that Cane. I'll take corporate Caine over
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: that Cane. Queen Zelena has graced us with her presence.
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: This is not going well.
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: Queen Zelena, Well, you know what, we just took a
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: turn Queen Zelina against EO Sky.
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: All right, I.
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: Wasn't feeling too good about where this was going, but
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: we were able to salvage that one. So now at
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: least we can tip the scales in our favor. We
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: have one ya, one nay. Main event time. Be the
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: Booker has been repossessed.
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: Game over.
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: That's it, folks, that's it. The Repo Man.
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: Has repossessed Be the Booker and this game is over.
- 1:44:55Speaker 2: Just like that, we get no main event. How do
- 1:45:02Speaker 2: you like that? How do you like that? Oh?
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: Man, fucking Repo man just repossessed the entire thing. There's
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: nothing I can do. At least, Hey, at least we
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: got to book two matches and we got an EO
- 1:45:22Speaker 1: Sky match. Right, that's got to count for something. One
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: out of three is not good, but at least we
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: got the one. Uh we got Oh wait, hold on VIDs,
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: Dove's VIDs. I can't take my dog to the park anymore.
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: He keeps getting bitten by ducks. Should have known since
- 1:45:55Speaker 1: he's purebred, pure he's pure bread. We got a regular
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: Don Rickles over here. Bas Bears says, did you know
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: that Prince wrote manic Monday?
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: Did he really? I? Did not know that.
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: I like Manic Monday. Mac Monday is a good song.
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: I did not know that Prince wrote that song. Joseph says,
- 1:46:36Speaker 1: do you remember when Sting came back to w CW
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: television in June of two thousand wearing a hockey mask
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: after a few months when he had the match with
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: a Vampiro where he was set on fire? Did he really?
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: I have no memory of this. I have tried to
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: block out a lot about that period in WCW, so
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: I knew about the match with Vampiro. I remember they
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: were up on top of the like the tron or something,
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: and they did like a whole I think Sting got
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: pushed off. I don't remember him getting dressed up as
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: Jason Vorhees though that I don't remember. Bass Beera says
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: Repo Man, Repo wait, hold on, gotta do it, gotta
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: do it the right way, weep o bad. You gotta
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: do it, you gotta do it right. I'll take Repo
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: Man's music over most of the music we have today.
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: It was a vibe, you know, May's the great.
- 1:47:44Speaker 2: That silver.
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: Welding mask that Caine wore in twenty twelve was cool, Yeah,
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: but it was like such a fleeting period of time.
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: He didn't have it for that long.
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: I remember that he made a return and he beat
- 1:47:58Speaker 1: up John Cena, right that was the night I think
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: that he debuted the welding mask. But the welding mask
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: was gone after a very short period of time. Yusef. Yes, yes,
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: I don't have a timestamp for you. But I did
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: talk about the MVP stuff and Joseph Stewart says, were
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: you a fan of Scott Steiner as the WCW champion?
- 1:48:28Speaker 2: He was, Yeah.
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: I mean I didn't have anything against him as the champion. Again,
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: I just I'm not a fan of that period. I
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: don't like that period of WCW. I have zero interest
- 1:48:37Speaker 1: in going back and watching matches from that period. You know,
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: the WCW Vault channel will have these. They might have
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: one right now, like this twenty four hour watch party
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: they have like this live feed and I'll pop on
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: there sometimes at night. It helps you fall asleep, and
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: I love it when I pop into the watch party
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: and there's stuff from like early nineties WCW, like I
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: love that stuff, and even some mid nineties I'm talking
- 1:49:08Speaker 1: like pre nWo. But if there's something On from like
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: two thousand, I turn it off, like I have no interest.
- 1:49:17Speaker 2: I just.
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: Can't bring myself to care. It ruined Kine as a monster.
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: But I absolutely loved Team hell No. They had their
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: moments and it was a fun comedy team. I didn't
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: like everything they did, Like they had those therapy sessions
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: with doctor Oh god, what the hell doctor Shelby?
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: Was that? What it was?
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: Doctor Shelby? I mean were those were kind of amusing, honestly,
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: you know, I thought head Cheese was more entertaining, to
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: be honest with you. I love the dynamics between Al
- 1:49:57Speaker 1: Snow and Steve Blackman and God, I mean god, there
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: was a SmackDown and there were some segments that they
- 1:50:08Speaker 1: did from an old age home. Alson Now told black men,
- 1:50:12Speaker 1: I got us a gig at like a retirement home
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: where they were gonna go do stand up comedy, and
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: Blackman's like, you did what? And so they would cut
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: in at this at this old age home and I
- 1:50:25Speaker 1: just remember this one old woman. Oh my god, I
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: just remembering this now. So like they're telling jokes and
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: all these old people are sitting around and there's this
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: one woman and I don't know if they told her
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: to do this or this was she was just doing
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: it on her own.
- 1:50:45Speaker 2: But she's like, you suck black Man, and it's like,
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: my name's Blackman.
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: And she just she kept saying it the wrong way,
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: like without context, like you hear her shouting this and
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: just Blackman's reaction to it. And I think the punchline
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: was he ends up beating up one of the senior citizens.
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: They don't show it, but like the next time they
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: cut back to the home they're leaving, and it Snow
- 1:51:10Speaker 1: is like, you can't you know, you can't beat up
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: the patients. You can't hit them with your nunchucks. Just
- 1:51:16Speaker 1: like stupid silly shit like that. Those segments. I remember that,
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: See that was funny stuff. I'll take head cheese over
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: a team hell no, yes, that's right. Joey's like head cheese,
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: like yes, Al Snow and Steve Blackman opposites attract black men,
- 1:51:39Speaker 1: had that dry He actually had no sense of humor,
- 1:51:42Speaker 1: but he had that dry sense of humor, if you
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: could call it that, and it just the two of
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: them played very well off of each other. Bass Beers says,
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: who would you trade right now? In WWE AW one
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: for one? Bring MJF to w W A and as
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: far as ae W mm hm, who would I send
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: to AW? I won't say that.
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: There's any number of people who would fit right in
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: and do well in AW. I don't know, but M
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: mj F and WW is a no brainer for sure.
- 1:52:40Speaker 2: I guess from.
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: WWE uh Aj it's woggle, says aj Aj styles. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: I mean it's not the aj styles of ten years ago.
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: But Balor yeaes styles, Balor I probably styles.
- 1:53:05Speaker 2: I think that would be cool. We got Bosco Masuska.
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: At one point in AW, is the remedy too much
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: with Tony?
- 1:53:24Speaker 2: At what?
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: At one point in ae W is the remedy too
- 1:53:29Speaker 1: much with t K? I don't understand the question. I
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: don't understand what you're asking. At one point in AW,
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: is the remedy too much with Tony Khan? Bass beers
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: as we read that one already. Joseph Stewart, what are
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: your thoughts on Sid's run in ECW? Man Sid was
- 1:53:58Speaker 1: I'll tell you what Man Sid was, super over or
- 1:54:00Speaker 1: wherever he went WWF WCW. Those appearances in ECW where
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: he would just come out and power bomb people.
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: That was fun.
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: That was fun, and he got monster reactions everywhere he went.
- 1:54:12Speaker 1: Everywhere Sid went in his entire career, he always got over,
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: always and power spying games. Thoughts on the old Lunchtime
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: Suicide series. Obviously you would never see anything like that today.
- 1:54:35Speaker 2: I was, I was.
- 1:54:38Speaker 1: They were so stupid that I found them funny, Like
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: I was amused by them, but I can understand why
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: they're sort of You're not gonna see those popping up
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: on the vault, let's let's put it that way. But
- 1:54:53Speaker 1: I got a kick out of them. What was the
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: line that Josh Matthews would always, Oh, that's that's not
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: mister White, that's not very wise, mister White.
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: I don't even remember what. Oh, I think I know
- 1:55:07Speaker 2: what it was. He got hurt, right, That's what it was.
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: Tim White had the injury forced him to retire from refereeing,
- 1:55:14Speaker 1: and so he got very depressed. And they did these
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: like WWE dot Com segments and it just became like
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: a running gag.
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: Oh, completely in poor taste, but some of them were funny.
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: Sid had one of the best looks in pro wrestling ever. Yeah,
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: I mean I said that. When he passed away, I
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: did a whole retrospective on Sid, and I said, if
- 1:55:41Speaker 1: you were to build a pro wrestler from scratch, like
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: it would look like Sid. He just had he had
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: that look to him where he looked like a pro wrestler,
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: but he looked like a monster that you would want
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: to cheer for. And even when he was a heel,
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: I feel like the crowds would react to him in such.
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: A way where.
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: You know, it was hard for him to not get cheered.
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: I feel like he just had this cool factor about him,
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: even with the curly hair, little orphan any hair that
- 1:56:18Speaker 1: he had there. He built a pro wrestler in a laboratory,
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: like it would look like Sid. Yeah, the timing, I
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: guess that you forgot about the timing the lunchtime suicide skits.
- 1:56:36Speaker 2: I think that was.
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: I think that was a few months after Eddie Guerrero
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: passed away, So I mean Eddie Eddie didn't die of suicide.
- 1:56:45Speaker 1: But yeah, the timing probably if the timing is what
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: I think it is, the timing was.
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: Probably not great.
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean they they ended it and it
- 1:56:56Speaker 1: was never spoken of again, probably for good reason. And
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: bes Beiers, Shark Boy and Curryman in be the booker,
- 1:57:07Speaker 1: give me a shell. Yeah, Yet neither of them are
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: in be the be the Booker. Neither of them are
- 1:57:15Speaker 1: in be the Booker, be money. If healed, Doink would
- 1:57:25Speaker 1: have lasted longer in WWF. Who would you have wanted
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: to see him feud with? I mean, I've mentioned Hogan before.
- 1:57:34Speaker 1: An Undertaker or Hulk Hogan feud would have been interesting.
- 1:57:37Speaker 1: I've mentioned Hogan. You could have You could have absolutely
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: with the original evil heel Doink. You could have worked
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: a Hogan Doink program at some point. Not it would
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: not have been a WrestleMania match. I know Matt Bourne
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: said that he was supposed to wrestle Hogan in the
- 1:57:56Speaker 1: main event. I think of WrestleMania nine. He's full of shit.
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: But that could have worked, Like, absolutely could have worked.
- 1:58:05Speaker 1: You mentioned Undertaker. I think almost any top babyface with
- 1:58:09Speaker 1: that evil Doint character, you could have made that work.
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: That was the only version of the Doint character that
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: ever mattered, Like it was the best version. Once they
- 1:58:20Speaker 1: turned him babyface, it just wasn't the same. And then
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: Matt Bourne left, and then it really wasn't the same.
- 1:58:31Speaker 1: Joseph says, why did Sid start to wear blue jeans
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: when he wrestled, he was getting older. I think he
- 1:58:40Speaker 1: wore blue jeans in ECW but again, it was more
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: like him just sort of crashing the party. It's not
- 1:58:46Speaker 1: like he was showing up to do these long matches.
- 1:58:51Speaker 1: So that made sense. And then in the later years
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: he was wearing the jeans, and I just think, you know,
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: he was getting older, and I don't know, maybe he
- 1:59:00Speaker 1: just didn't like the way he looked in his old
- 1:59:02Speaker 1: tights anymore, which can happen when you get older. I mean,
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: I don't I don't know that he ever commented on it,
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: but I mean, that would be my guess. I don't
- 1:59:14Speaker 1: I don't see where that would have been more comfortable
- 1:59:16Speaker 1: to wear, because unless they were just really comfortable, loose
- 1:59:20Speaker 1: fitting jeans, I don't know that that would be more
- 1:59:23Speaker 1: comfortable to wrestle in than than tights. But I just
- 1:59:28Speaker 1: I chalk that up to him getting older and physically,
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: maybe he you know, cosmetically with his lower body, maybe
- 1:59:36Speaker 1: it just wasn't looking the way that he wanted it
- 1:59:39Speaker 1: to look. So he decided to wear jeans, skipping leg
- 1:59:44Speaker 1: day exactly. Maybe he was skipping leg day and he said,
- 1:59:46Speaker 1: you know what, we're going to cover this up and
- 1:59:50Speaker 1: instead of getting instead of getting tights, I'm just gonna
- 1:59:52Speaker 1: wear jeans. That way, I can leave the ring and
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: I can go right to the rental car and go
- 2:00:01Speaker 1: to the hotel and not have to change Bass Beers.
- 2:00:07Speaker 2: Buy or sell t Bar or Mitch from the Spirit Squad.
- 2:00:12Speaker 2: I'm going to sell on both of them. Now.
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: If I had to buy, I buy t Bar. T
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: Bar had talent. They were just too stupid to see it.
- 2:00:25Speaker 1: Then he broke his leg, yes, because he skipped leg day.
- 2:00:28Speaker 2: That's right.
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: See, if he didn't skip leg day, maybe his leg
- 2:00:33Speaker 1: would not have snapped in the way that it did.
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: You thank John Laurnidis for that. Lauren IIIs is the
- 2:00:38Speaker 1: one that, according to him, insisted that he do that
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: stupid spot. So I saw a picture of John Lorenidis
- 2:00:46Speaker 1: entering Hulk Hogan's funeral this week. He re emerged from
- 2:00:51Speaker 1: the shadows this week. Anyway, I am going to be
- 2:00:58Speaker 1: back here live on this very each channel for the
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: SmackDown post show. We had a big show coming up
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: on Friday night. John Cena will be on SmackDown, Cody
- 2:01:07Speaker 1: Rhoades will be on Smacked. Then it's all the fallout
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: from SummerSlam. Who knows who else may show up on SmackDown.
- 2:01:14Speaker 1: I won't I'll be here. I'm confirming right now I
- 2:01:18Speaker 1: will not be on SmackDown, but we'll talk about it
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: when it goes off the air. And then this weekend
- 2:01:23Speaker 1: is episode nine four of the SoundOff. Obviously I will
- 2:01:27Speaker 1: be talking about this whole WWE, ESPN Peacock situation, more
- 2:01:33Speaker 1: on brock Lesnar, whatever other news may pop up between
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: now and the end of the week, some aw stuff.
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: We'll get into all that. So that'll be coming up
- 2:01:41Speaker 2: this weekend, so.
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: Go and check that out. Until then, be well, stay safe,
- 2:01:49Speaker 1: have yourselves a great night. Thank you for all the
- 2:01:51Speaker 1: love tonight. Anyway, I'll see you guys Friday night. Until then,
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: take care, guys,
