- 0:38Speaker 2: excited today because, Wow, I get to go back to
- 0:43Speaker 2: my childhood today. Man, I get to go back to
- 0:46Speaker 2: my roots, go back to the days where I first
- 0:50Speaker 2: man fell in love with hip hop rap music. You know,
- 0:54Speaker 2: I'm from the era of Brendy m C L L
- 0:58Speaker 2: Coup J Public getting me all the trailblazers and pioneers
- 1:05Speaker 2: of this genre. And I can remember sitting in my
- 1:09Speaker 2: living room watching these music videos come on and in
- 1:14Speaker 2: particular ll that I'm Bad video and the song was
- 1:22Speaker 2: just man, it was just a hit at the time.
- 1:27Speaker 2: And my boy e Love, which was I wouldn't say,
- 1:31Speaker 2: one of the original hype men that was right there
- 1:35Speaker 2: rocking with them on the stage. You got a couple
- 1:38Speaker 2: of other hype men out there, you have. Of course,
- 1:41Speaker 2: we remember flavored play with the clock and just different
- 1:45Speaker 2: people that would sit there and just make the whole
- 1:48Speaker 2: experience and whole event just more exciting and just more energy.
- 1:54Speaker 1: And things like that. And yeah, and so to my boy.
- 2:02Speaker 2: E Love at the Las Vegas Business Mixer, the LVB
- 2:07Speaker 2: and M Business Mixer. Shout out to Paula and Sylvester
- 2:13Speaker 2: for holding this thing at the Santa Fe Hotel every Tuesday.
- 2:18Speaker 2: They've been out doing this thing faithfully for about eighteen
- 2:22Speaker 2: years now, and it pays off. I want to say,
- 2:27Speaker 2: dedication pays off and commitment pays off. If you have
- 2:32Speaker 2: a vision, if you have a dream, and if you
- 2:35Speaker 2: just have something that you know God has called you to,
- 2:38Speaker 2: I want to encourage you to stick with it because
- 2:40Speaker 2: you never know the impact you might be making. You
- 2:44Speaker 2: never know who is going to benefit from that. And
- 2:50Speaker 2: who walked through the doors at this last mixer was
- 2:57Speaker 2: none other than E Love, hype man for.
- 3:02Speaker 1: L. L. Couj.
- 3:06Speaker 2: This man is is he's known all over the world.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Let me put his his flyer back up now in
- 3:18Speaker 2: the background. You got L L Cooj, got E Love,
- 3:22Speaker 2: Then you have a cut creator and I believe that's
- 3:25Speaker 2: Bobcat that is right behind him.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Man. These are some of the bros that were in
- 3:31Speaker 1: the music video with L. L. Couj. And so.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I was excited. I was, like I said, it just
- 3:40Speaker 2: went back to my childhood. And he agreed to sit
- 3:44Speaker 2: down with me and have an interview on the his
- 3:47Speaker 2: Hot radio podcast network. I shared with him what we've
- 3:52Speaker 2: been doing out here in Vegas. You know, we took
- 3:55Speaker 2: this genre and we gave it back to Jesus. You know,
- 3:57Speaker 2: that's our heart, his hop nation, and his radio. We
- 4:01Speaker 2: want to impact and touch our community by changing the culture, right,
- 4:08Speaker 2: changing the hearts, changing the minds, and changing and the
- 4:11Speaker 2: only way you could really change a person is through
- 4:14Speaker 2: the gospel of Jesus Christ right, allowing the power of
- 4:17Speaker 2: God to fall upon anyone that God has called.
- 4:21Speaker 1: But I just wouldn't say that.
- 4:24Speaker 2: To say this, it was amazing to connect with one
- 4:27Speaker 2: of the pioneers of the genre as we are using
- 4:32Speaker 2: this genre to push the gospel. So we get into
- 4:36Speaker 2: a story during this interview. But what I really want
- 4:39Speaker 2: you to pay attention to is what he said about
- 4:43Speaker 2: our genreh the Christian hip hop genre.
- 4:49Speaker 1: He had some interesting things to say.
- 4:51Speaker 2: And I hope and pray that we can pick up
- 4:53Speaker 2: some nuggets that we could take what he said from
- 4:58Speaker 2: his point of view, take some of his advice and
- 5:03Speaker 2: use it to our own advantage and make our genre
- 5:07Speaker 2: even better. So this is a audio interview. He came
- 5:10Speaker 2: and set at the table with me, So I'm gonna
- 5:12Speaker 2: play the audio and then I will be sitting here, uh,
- 5:17Speaker 2: responding to it as we get into it. So, like
- 5:23Speaker 2: I said, man, this is amazing. So check it out.

- 7:12Speaker 2: in high seat tonight.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Man.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I'm excited personally excited because this is like one of
- 7:18Speaker 2: my childhood favorite.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Memories groups.
- 7:23Speaker 2: When I first felt in you know, you know you
- 7:25Speaker 2: say you always remember your first love, right, So when
- 7:28Speaker 2: I first fell in love with the hip hop music
- 7:31Speaker 2: and the genre of rap music, everyone knows that they've
- 7:36Speaker 2: heard of. If you've been under a rock, you've never
- 7:38Speaker 2: heard of Evil E rocking with L L Cup, J,
- 7:45Speaker 2: Bob Kat all these cats.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Man.
- 7:48Speaker 1: You know, man, you you've been in a cave. Man.
- 7:52Speaker 2: So so right now the notorious Evil E is gonna
- 7:56Speaker 2: all right, hold on one second, I just want to
- 7:57Speaker 2: react to this right now, all right, was calling my
- 8:01Speaker 2: man evil E. There were two MC's back in the day,
- 8:05Speaker 2: two I guess you could say, with the name of.
- 8:08Speaker 1: E Evil E and E Love.
- 8:10Speaker 2: So that's my bad. I want to apologize for introducing
- 8:13Speaker 2: the man's evil E, but he's gonna correct me in
- 8:16Speaker 2: the video it's actually E Love. So I just want
- 8:20Speaker 2: to apologize for that, y'all. All right, let's get back
- 8:24Speaker 2: to it. That's oh man, okay, oh you know why
- 8:29Speaker 2: why do I? Yeah?
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, I'm sorry.
- 8:37Speaker 2: It's been it's been a minute. I've been no, but
- 8:39Speaker 2: but no, it's it's E Love. Yes, it's E Love,
- 8:45Speaker 2: E Love. Come on now, E Love rocking with If
- 8:48Speaker 2: you remember that music VI and I can remember it vividly,
- 8:51Speaker 2: vividly the music video I'm bad, well l all jumping
- 8:56Speaker 2: around with his shirt off. E Love is right there,
- 9:00Speaker 2: Bam right on his side, man, And I was just
- 9:03Speaker 2: thinking to myself, like, whatever happened to my bro?
- 9:06Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 9:06Speaker 2: Because he kind of like, you know, faded away at
- 9:10Speaker 2: least from my site, you know. So he is here
- 9:13Speaker 2: personally to tell y'all what's going on, what he's been doing,
- 9:17Speaker 2: so without any further delay. Let me introduce my brother
- 9:21Speaker 2: E Love on the hip hop radio podcast What's Up? Brother?
- 9:24Speaker 1: It's up, Bro? How's it going? E Love here? How's
- 9:27Speaker 1: it going? Happy New Year's Pevy boy? What's good?
- 9:29Speaker 3: That's good?
- 9:30Speaker 1: That's good, bro. Man, I just hear that New York accent.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Man, I love it. I love it man, E Love.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I don't even know where to start. Man, it was
- 9:37Speaker 2: just a surprise to meet you. I didn't know you
- 9:39Speaker 2: were going to be here today and we got you
- 9:41Speaker 2: on the podcast.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Man.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Kind of introduce yourself maybe to the you know, to
- 9:46Speaker 2: the people who the younger crowd.
- 9:48Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 9:50Speaker 4: Well, it all started for me around nineteen eighty four.
- 9:53Speaker 4: I'm at two guys that have ever changed my life.
- 9:57Speaker 4: That would be Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin. We met them,
- 10:00Speaker 4: we were when we were about sixteen years old. We
- 10:04Speaker 4: meet me and my childhood frind ll coole J. I
- 10:07Speaker 4: call him Todd. I just can't call him llll. I
- 10:09Speaker 4: just gotta say Todd. When I say Todd, I'm talking
- 10:12Speaker 4: about llll cole J. So when me and Todd met
- 10:15Speaker 4: Rick and Russell, they were just thinking about starting in
- 10:19Speaker 4: a label called death Jam Records. They had one song
- 10:22Speaker 4: out before they kind of went south with the royalties.
- 10:26Speaker 4: That was teler Rock It's Yours. Remember teler Rock It's Yours.
- 10:29Speaker 4: That was a big song in the on the East Coast.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Rick was like, you know what, we're gonna drop that
- 10:36Speaker 4: song I need to Beat. That was our very first single.
- 10:39Speaker 4: And when they've decided to drop I need to Beat,
- 10:43Speaker 4: they dropped independalty. Nobody had any real money at that
- 10:46Speaker 4: point in time. Rick's parents came up with some cash
- 10:49Speaker 4: to pay for the market and pay for the pressing,
- 10:52Speaker 4: pay for us to start going in the show. I
- 10:55Speaker 4: mean going on different shows around New York through Jersey, Philly,
- 10:58Speaker 4: Connecticut shows. That was driver both of us. We would
- 11:01Speaker 4: just drive out there, do the show and drive back
- 11:03Speaker 4: the same night.
- 11:04Speaker 1: You know why.
- 11:04Speaker 4: I had money for a hotel. So that's how it
- 11:07Speaker 4: started off for us. After that, my credits took off.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Eighty four us started producing Cool Jay. Then I started
- 11:16Speaker 4: doing the marketing for the label Deaf Jam Records. That
- 11:18Speaker 4: would be the posters bust out billboards. Then we went
- 11:22Speaker 4: on a couple of major tours with Run DMC, the
- 11:24Speaker 4: Fat Boys, Curtis Blow, Sheila and at that point in time,
- 11:32Speaker 4: the single was popping. Then we finally dropped the first CD,
- 11:36Speaker 4: which was Radio, and Radio took off in a crazy
- 11:39Speaker 4: way because that song my radio. We actually did this
- 11:43Speaker 4: movie called Crush Groove, right. Crush Groove was a Warner
- 11:48Speaker 4: Brothers release. It came out in nineteen eighty five. It
- 11:51Speaker 4: started run DMC, Sheila E. Curtis, blow the Fat Boys,
- 11:56Speaker 4: introducing Blair Underwood and no Audition, and that movie wound
- 12:01Speaker 4: up being a huge hit in.
- 12:03Speaker 1: All the theaters.
- 12:04Speaker 4: So everybody saw the movie because at eighty five, not
- 12:08Speaker 4: too many hip hop.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Movies made to the theaters.
- 12:11Speaker 4: So when people saw the movie, they heard the song
- 12:14Speaker 4: and they saw us performing the song. So at that
- 12:16Speaker 4: point people started buying our single thinking it was the soundtrack.
- 12:21Speaker 4: So we sold a lot of singles and it was
- 12:25Speaker 4: off the racers from that point on.
- 12:27Speaker 2: It Man, Man, Man, man, man, come on, come on, man,
- 12:30Speaker 2: you're talking my history.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Man, this is the roots. This is where, this is
- 12:34Speaker 1: when I first fell in.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Love with the genre. Man, I remember that movie. I
- 12:38Speaker 2: remember Crush Groove.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I remember.
- 12:43Speaker 2: If I'm not if I'm not mistaken that at L
- 12:46Speaker 2: L had a scene on that movie where he came
- 12:49Speaker 2: in there to audition, and you was holding the box.
- 12:54Speaker 1: The box.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Our cut creator was screenwright, our screen left LLLL was
- 13:01Speaker 4: in the middle and uh cut had the box. We
- 13:05Speaker 4: walked in the room. What's really interesting is the way
- 13:07Speaker 4: how that scene came about. It came about because every
- 13:11Speaker 4: single day we were extras on the set because at
- 13:13Speaker 4: that time Ellll was not a big name, he was
- 13:16Speaker 4: just getting started. The big names were run dmc, Sheila E. Kurz, Blow,
- 13:21Speaker 4: the Fab Boys, New Audition and those guys, and this
- 13:25Speaker 4: was their movie. The producer George Jackson, God rest his soul,
- 13:29Speaker 4: he's passed. I said, George, is there any way that
- 13:32Speaker 4: we could possibly get in? He said, let me tell
- 13:34Speaker 4: you something. This is like the fourth time you have
- 13:37Speaker 4: came to me with this. Your time's gonna come, but
- 13:39Speaker 4: right now it's their time. So sit back, just beat
- 13:43Speaker 4: the extras and we'll figure something out. So every day
- 13:45Speaker 4: I'm looked at the side, So this day I looked
- 13:47Speaker 4: at the side, just said, hold up, there's an audition, right, George,
- 13:51Speaker 4: is there anyway we can audition? Like right after the
- 13:54Speaker 4: girl walks out, we could just walk in there, act
- 13:56Speaker 4: like we're performing and jam masked Jacob. Actly, he's gonna
- 14:00Speaker 4: this and if you just the other room, let's give
- 14:03Speaker 4: it a shot.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Let's run the tape. After she comes out, y'all go
- 14:06Speaker 1: go right in and do your thing. Yo, you got something.
- 14:10Speaker 1: She said, what are you talking about? She's moving box.
- 14:12Speaker 4: So right after she came out, we walked in and
- 14:16Speaker 4: I said box. He dropped it my radio and that
- 14:19Speaker 4: was one of the scene stealers for the whole movie.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Man, Man, Man, I vivid I remember vividly. Now.
- 14:27Speaker 2: You gotta understand I was. I was a child back then,
- 14:30Speaker 2: you know what I mean. I was probably like eleven
- 14:31Speaker 2: or twelve right when that came out, and that scene
- 14:37Speaker 2: is vividly in my memory. Like I remember when y'all
- 14:40Speaker 2: walked in the room. I remember how L jumped and
- 14:43Speaker 2: he pointed to the box. I remember how you was
- 14:45Speaker 2: jumping around. I remember how you was standing, you know
- 14:48Speaker 2: what I mean, you standing like this. Yeah yeah, I
- 14:50Speaker 2: remember all that. And I remember jam Aster Jay coming
- 14:53Speaker 2: out with the gun.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Yuh yeah. But but then y'all end up when over
- 15:00Speaker 1: the crowd because it was dope.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Man. So man, I want to tell you it's a
- 15:04Speaker 2: honor me and my friends. Man, there was a group
- 15:06Speaker 2: of us that this genre really influenced us.
- 15:10Speaker 1: You know what I mean. We were living growing up
- 15:12Speaker 1: in Vegas. Believe it or not. We had gangs back then,
- 15:15Speaker 1: you know what I mean.
- 15:16Speaker 2: We're banging and all that and whatever, and it was
- 15:19Speaker 2: all around in our neighborhood. But we fell in love
- 15:23Speaker 2: with the music scene so much to where we didn't
- 15:25Speaker 2: get involved.
- 15:27Speaker 1: They knew us.
- 15:28Speaker 2: We used to go out on the street corner and
- 15:29Speaker 2: we'd be practicing, we'd be rapping. You know, we were
- 15:32Speaker 2: trying to do our thing, and we kind of little
- 15:35Speaker 2: made a little name for us.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Back then. We were the Coastal Boys. You know. It
- 15:38Speaker 1: was like, you know, it was five of us, you
- 15:40Speaker 1: know what I'm saying.
- 15:41Speaker 2: So so we did our thing.
- 15:43Speaker 1: But man, I mean, y'all were our inspiration.
- 15:46Speaker 2: You know, I'm going to tell you in right now,
- 15:49Speaker 2: I'm going back, you know what I mean, to my
- 15:51Speaker 2: childhood days. And I you know, I'm in my mind.
- 15:54Speaker 2: I'm telling all my friends like, oh man, you know,
- 15:57Speaker 2: E Love is here. I'm talking to E Love, you
- 15:59Speaker 2: know what I mean. So I just wanted to say that,
- 16:02Speaker 2: I mean, how does it how does it feel, man,
- 16:04Speaker 2: to be one of the pioneers and one of the
- 16:06Speaker 2: legends of this genre that basically took over because people
- 16:10Speaker 2: like priying to Michael Jackson had to take a back
- 16:12Speaker 2: seat to hip hop music.
- 16:14Speaker 4: You know, it's funny you said that because when we
- 16:17Speaker 4: dropped our second CD, which is called bad, right, which
- 16:23Speaker 4: is called bad, it's called Bigger and deafer. Bigger and
- 16:26Speaker 4: deafer means bad, and this guy named Michael Jackson, a legend.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Michael came out with the same song at the same time.
- 16:34Speaker 4: So every time we did an interview, everybody had Michael's
- 16:39Speaker 4: Michael was here.
- 16:40Speaker 1: We were saying, they were comparing Who's bad right.
- 16:43Speaker 4: So we finally met Michael when became the LA and
- 16:47Speaker 4: Michael was like, Who's bad?
- 16:49Speaker 1: The first ding he said was Who's bad? Right?
- 16:52Speaker 4: I sat cracking up. I'm like sixteen years old. It
- 16:55Speaker 4: didn't really hit me of the magnitude till he said it.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I'm like, wow.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Mike said, it's bad.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Wow, come on now down, got on Now that you
- 17:07Speaker 2: now that I think about it, you're right. L L
- 17:09Speaker 2: came out and I'm bad, and Michael Jackson came out
- 17:13Speaker 2: and I'm Bad. But I didn't realize they came out
- 17:15Speaker 2: around the same time. But I remember, like everybody was
- 17:20Speaker 2: on l L, like Michael's was kind of like, you.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Know, it was popcorn bad, but we were really street.
- 17:27Speaker 4: It was really all street cred bad, and that was
- 17:30Speaker 4: a big difference. But Mike, Mike Russell Soul, I mean,
- 17:33Speaker 4: he's incredible guy, revery nice, giving guy. Ascounts was be
- 17:37Speaker 4: waved beyond everybody else's and there'll never be another one
- 17:40Speaker 4: of Mike.
- 17:43Speaker 2: And so as I was talking to you before before
- 17:46Speaker 2: we got on this podcast, I was just thinking about,
- 17:49Speaker 2: you know, just some of the people and some of
- 17:50Speaker 2: the groups, and I'm like, you know, whatever happened to you? Love,
- 17:53Speaker 2: Like I remember you were there, and if I'm not mistaken,
- 17:57Speaker 2: you were kind of like a hype man for l J.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Probably one of the originals, right, me and.
- 18:03Speaker 4: Flay was like probably one and two of the original
- 18:07Speaker 4: hype guys in the game nineteen eighty nine, I got
- 18:09Speaker 4: shot eight times. I was actually in the hospital for
- 18:12Speaker 4: three years. I had to have two major operations, so
- 18:15Speaker 4: that kind of took me off the scene for a while.
- 18:17Speaker 1: So it took me like four years to really get back.
- 18:20Speaker 4: So even after I was released from the hospital, to
- 18:23Speaker 4: get to get to strength back from something like that.
- 18:26Speaker 1: It's years. So I finally got back on my feet.
- 18:28Speaker 4: I went back to school for write and producing, directing videos, documentaries,
- 18:34Speaker 4: and film. I went to school in San Francisco and
- 18:37Speaker 4: started directing commercials for Levi, Gate BAYBCBG. Then some other
- 18:41Speaker 4: products came my way, like T Mobile. I jumped into
- 18:44Speaker 4: a T Mobile situation. We did the urban launch for
- 18:47Speaker 4: the T Mobile Sidekick in two thousand and two with
- 18:51Speaker 4: DJ Ski and Shaquille O'Neal.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Shaq was the face and DJ Ski.
- 18:55Speaker 4: We had a company called Ski TV that my partner started,
- 18:58Speaker 4: so we were shooting a bunch of music videos. So
- 19:01Speaker 4: we was putting the Tea Mobile sidekick in all the
- 19:03Speaker 4: music videos that we were shooting. So we had about
- 19:06Speaker 4: five number one videos around that stretch. Some of them
- 19:08Speaker 4: I directed, some of I produced, and we wound up
- 19:12Speaker 4: selling forty million sidekicks for T Mobile. So I became
- 19:15Speaker 4: the marketing guy, which is how I started off in
- 19:18Speaker 4: the game. With Peter Gation New York City nightlife in
- 19:21Speaker 4: the late eighties. This was the Tunnel, the Limelight.
- 19:25Speaker 1: The Palladium.
- 19:26Speaker 4: You may have heard of some of these clubs and
- 19:28Speaker 4: some of the documentaries when they talked about early hip hop,
- 19:31Speaker 4: they alway talked about the Tunnel. Every rs perform at
- 19:34Speaker 4: the tunnel, from run DMC to Tupac to Biggie to
- 19:38Speaker 4: ll jay Z. You named the rs DMX. Everybody performed
- 19:42Speaker 4: at the tunnel. If you was a hip hop arts
- 19:44Speaker 4: in the East Coast, if you under the tunnel, you
- 19:46Speaker 4: was not legit.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Wow, man, I'm just floored. Bro, I'm just for man.
- 19:52Speaker 1: It did.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I'm telling y'all, like, God is amazing. God is amazing.
- 19:56Speaker 2: This just hit me like like I had no idea
- 20:00Speaker 2: I was gonna run into you today man and get
- 20:02Speaker 2: you on this podcast. Look at how amazing God works. Okay,
- 20:06Speaker 2: So now I want to ask, Okay, so what are
- 20:09Speaker 2: you currently doing now? If you got anything you're involved in,
- 20:12Speaker 2: and then what advice could you give someone who wants
- 20:16Speaker 2: to do something in this genre? And see me, I'm
- 20:19Speaker 2: you know, because you know I have a strong faith,
- 20:22Speaker 2: you know in the Bible and Jesus and the Word
- 20:24Speaker 2: or whatever. What can you say to the Christian hip
- 20:27Speaker 2: hop genre? How can we take you this thing to
- 20:30Speaker 2: the next level?
- 20:32Speaker 4: Well, you know, they really have not, they really has
- 20:36Speaker 4: not been a really big hip hop Christian artist. To
- 20:40Speaker 4: this point, A couple came with but nobody stayed, you
- 20:43Speaker 4: know what I mean. So you just have to have
- 20:46Speaker 4: the right music, the right message, and you have to
- 20:49Speaker 4: have the right time and everything's timing. There's anybody that's
- 20:55Speaker 4: listening out there with some real talent. Love to work
- 20:57Speaker 4: with new young artists. I have several things happening right now.
- 21:00Speaker 4: I have twenty fourteen other side to move to Japan. Yeah,
- 21:05Speaker 4: I was loving to Tokyo for a while. Started off
- 21:10Speaker 4: working on two video games, and one game was a
- 21:13Speaker 4: driving game, and we raised our seed round in Japan.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Twenty sixteen, I bought stan Lee Jeremy Run into the
- 21:22Speaker 4: first Tokyo International Comic Con. I don't know if you've
- 21:25Speaker 4: been to a comic con, but this was the very
- 21:27Speaker 4: first one. We had half a million people there in
- 21:29Speaker 4: three days. Five hundred thousand people. Yeah, well you gotta dudes.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Go to my ig E l O v E Global
- 21:37Speaker 4: and you can see the trailer with me, stan Lee
- 21:40Speaker 4: and the rest of the guys from the comic con.
- 21:42Speaker 1: We had a half million people there.
- 21:44Speaker 4: So we have two games coming down in twenty twenty
- 21:46Speaker 4: five with two soundtracks. Have been driving in the boxing game,
- 21:50Speaker 4: two soundtracks, one soundtrack for each game. And then we
- 21:54Speaker 4: have a documentary coming out in about August September. It's
- 21:59Speaker 4: about the twenty logos in hip hop. Because you know
- 22:02Speaker 4: I'm the logo for Public Enemy. You know that logo?
- 22:06Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Real well go talk yeah, real talk. Yeah. Chuck's my guy.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Chuck caught this picture of me in this magazine back
- 22:19Speaker 4: in the day and he happened to sketch this picture out.
- 22:23Speaker 4: He said, Yo, we got this a business. His manager
- 22:27Speaker 4: calls me up, Bill Sephanie. Bill's a yo e yo,
- 22:31Speaker 4: Chuck on talk to Chuck on do something. I said,
- 22:34Speaker 4: I didn't do anything. So long story short, Chuck took
- 22:38Speaker 4: this picture of me because you know, Chuck's the graphics arts.
- 22:40Speaker 1: He went to college for that.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Yeah, So he took this picture of me in this
- 22:44Speaker 4: magazine with my arms folded, and he said, yoh, this
- 22:48Speaker 4: is gonna be the logo for Public Enemy. We're gonna
- 22:51Speaker 4: pay you for your likeness, and every place we go,
- 22:54Speaker 4: you will be right there because you will be the
- 22:57Speaker 4: official logo of Public Enemy. And that that's actually the
- 23:01Speaker 4: number one logo in all the hip hop right now,
- 23:06Speaker 4: Cross here, that's the one right here, Bingo I remember, yeah, yes, ma'am.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Yeah, come on man, public enemy, that's E Love out there.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Still they're coming out with the E Love. Okay, all righty,
- 23:24Speaker 1: we got a.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Little background on what's going on, but it's good. They
- 23:26Speaker 2: can still hear you in the mic, so we can
- 23:28Speaker 2: still go. We can still wrap it up. So man, logo.
- 23:33Speaker 2: So you're coming to come out with the best, the
- 23:36Speaker 2: best logo.
- 23:37Speaker 1: So when is this coming out?
- 23:38Speaker 3: Bro?
- 23:40Speaker 1: It should be out about August September twenty four.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Oh okay, So one more time, I want you to
- 23:51Speaker 2: give give your ig or where you want people to
- 23:55Speaker 2: follow you, website or whatever you got going.
- 23:59Speaker 1: That situation, say, is the real simple?
- 24:00Speaker 4: My Instagram is E l O v E g l
- 24:05Speaker 4: O b A l E Love Global instagrammers E Love
- 24:12Speaker 4: E l o V E Global g l O b
- 24:15Speaker 4: A l.
- 24:16Speaker 1: E Love Global Love Global. Like I said, you know,
- 24:22Speaker 1: I many.
- 24:23Speaker 2: I wasn't even playing we just like I said, being
- 24:26Speaker 2: at the right place at the right time.
- 24:29Speaker 1: This mixture sat the first Tuesday of every month.
- 24:32Speaker 4: I love.
- 24:32Speaker 1: If you are a BISS.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Owner, come on out and table let's say connected. I'm
- 24:37Speaker 2: telling you you never know who's going to walk through
- 24:39Speaker 2: those doors. And that's that's living proof right there. I
- 24:42Speaker 2: ran into my man you Love from the l l
- 24:51Speaker 2: c J crew that I swear he first stepped on
- 24:53Speaker 2: the scene. But he told you and mentioned everything else
- 24:56Speaker 2: he's got going the top twenty logos and hip hop.
- 25:00Speaker 2: He is the logo for a public enemy and it
- 25:03Speaker 2: was interesting and the boys legit man, he's a legit
- 25:06Speaker 2: go down check out his ig. He's been on a
- 25:09Speaker 2: lot of talk shows and he's got a lot of
- 25:11Speaker 2: things going, and it was interesting what he said. I
- 25:15Speaker 2: just wanted to highlight what he said about the HR genre.
- 25:18Speaker 2: He's saying that there's no artists out there, and if
- 25:21Speaker 2: there is an artist that comes out, they don't stick
- 25:24Speaker 2: around long. Wow, what do you think about that? They
- 25:29Speaker 2: don't stick around long? In other words, when we do
- 25:33Speaker 2: get an artist rise up in our genre, they want
- 25:36Speaker 2: to jump ship and go over and do secular once
- 25:40Speaker 2: they get a little traction or something. If we would
- 25:43Speaker 2: just stay steadfast in the lane God has given us,
- 25:46Speaker 2: we would get more respect and we would make more
- 25:51Speaker 2: of an impact. Now this is alleged, you know, this
- 25:54Speaker 2: is e Love. He's got the the credentials. Man, he's
- 26:01Speaker 2: got the wait, he's got the authority to speak on
- 26:04Speaker 2: it because, like I said, he was there when it
- 26:06Speaker 2: all happened.
- 26:07Speaker 1: He was one of the pioneers.
- 26:08Speaker 2: So yeah, I just want us as a community, see
- 26:13Speaker 2: each community think about that, think about us not having
- 26:18Speaker 2: an artist and when we do, they don't stick around.
- 26:24Speaker 2: That's something we need to pray about. That's something we
- 26:26Speaker 2: need to go to go to war for in prayer
- 26:31Speaker 2: and see what's going on. And let's let's be the
- 26:34Speaker 2: ones that stick around. Let's be the ones that make
- 26:37Speaker 2: a difference in this genre. All right, If you want
- 26:41Speaker 2: to check out what we're doing, man, we got some
- 26:43Speaker 2: events coming up. We have a lot of things going
