- 2:29Speaker 3: want to welcome in to the show our good friend
- 2:32Speaker 3: Millie Snyder. Hey you doing Milly.
- 2:33Speaker 5: I'm doing so well. I'm so happy to be here
- 2:35Speaker 5: and see you.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Rocking the three to oh four shirt here.
- 2:38Speaker 5: That makes sense absolutely because I was out of three
- 2:41Speaker 5: oh four for several days for a very special occasion,
- 2:45Speaker 5: and that was going to Vermont to watch my middle
- 2:49Speaker 5: grandson graduate from Vermont State University.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Okay, what was his major? What's he going into?
- 2:55Speaker 5: Everything that has to do with outdoors?
- 2:58Speaker 6: And I'll do.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Yeah in Vermont.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a good place for him.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Well, you know it's I mean, he has a very
- 3:05Speaker 5: diverse curriculum and he just is very qualified to do
- 3:12Speaker 5: a number of things. But I have to say this
- 3:16Speaker 5: wonderful grandson was qualified long before he got up to Vermont.
- 3:20Speaker 5: He's just has a wonderful work ethic and he's a
- 3:22Speaker 5: great guy. So I'm excited that he's found a niche
- 3:26Speaker 5: and he's already working. He's been taken up with by
- 3:29Speaker 5: an international company, so I'm very excited for him, and
- 3:33Speaker 5: he's a good guy.
- 3:34Speaker 3: What did you think about Vermont? I've never been there,
- 3:36Speaker 3: but I heard you and Colonel Ron Hughes talking about
- 3:38Speaker 3: it a little bit.
- 3:39Speaker 5: Yes. Well, you know, living in West Virginia for fifty
- 3:42Speaker 5: six years, I've heard the expression of fur piece, you know,
- 3:45Speaker 5: when you have to go somewhere. But I can actually
- 3:47Speaker 5: tell you that Vermont is a fur piece. It's far
- 3:51Speaker 5: from everything.
- 3:52Speaker 3: So I'm taking it that you drove there, right, No, no.
- 3:54Speaker 5: No, no, We actually flew into Manchester, New Hampshire, Okay,
- 3:58Speaker 5: then into Vermont. So yeah, I'm still recovering, not from
- 4:05Speaker 5: anything other than a lot of time in the car.
- 4:08Speaker 3: How was the food? It was okay, that's all. It
- 4:12Speaker 3: was just okay.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Now was actually I was very pleased our first meal
- 4:16Speaker 5: when we finally hit ground on Saturday, when we saw Holden,
- 4:22Speaker 5: who is my grandson, actually found something that threw me
- 4:26Speaker 5: for a very big smile on my face. It was
- 4:29Speaker 5: a Mediterranean salad right there in Vermont, up at Burke Mountain.
- 4:34Speaker 5: I was thrilled. In fact, my daughter said to me, well,
- 4:37Speaker 5: I guess you're happy now, Mom.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I was.
- 4:40Speaker 5: It was just a great salad.
- 4:41Speaker 3: And I wish you didn't have syrup on it didn't
- 4:44Speaker 3: well known, I guess.
- 4:46Speaker 5: I guess you could have gotten it on the side.
- 4:48Speaker 3: As we say in southern West Virginia syrup sp s
- 4:52Speaker 3: u RP, SIRP.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Well, it's easier to say it it is very instead
- 4:55Speaker 5: of pronouncing each letter. But it was a wonderful experience.
- 5:00Speaker 5: I wish that more people, and I'm talking about wherever
- 5:04Speaker 5: I go I see it, I see the same thing,
- 5:07Speaker 5: would find out that they can embrace a better healthier
- 5:12Speaker 5: way to eat. And I'm not talking about dieting. I'm
- 5:16Speaker 5: not talking about counting your carbs. And now, if you
- 5:19Speaker 5: want to do keto and eliminate sugar, that's fine, because
- 5:22Speaker 5: sugar is not a friend. By the way, if you
- 5:24Speaker 5: want to age more quickly, you should eat sugar. And
- 5:28Speaker 5: it will also make your skin sag in the process,
- 5:31Speaker 5: but in your mouth it'll taste great, but sugar is
- 5:34Speaker 5: turning out to not be anyone's friend. And I actually
- 5:38Speaker 5: have the information to prove it. And I give that
- 5:42Speaker 5: information in my Mediterranean Mindset.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Group and tell us about the group because then I
- 5:46Speaker 3: got something in the news I want to ask you about.
- 5:48Speaker 5: But going wonderful wonderful, Well, we meet at the Goodwill
- 5:51Speaker 5: Prosperity Center which is on the West Side every Thursday
- 5:55Speaker 5: morning at ten am, and we have our group is
- 5:58Speaker 5: growing and people are made wonderful progress. But when I
- 6:02Speaker 5: say progress, it's not just about how much weight did
- 6:06Speaker 5: you lose, because there's so much more to the equation,
- 6:11Speaker 5: and that is to understand to eat clean, fresh food
- 6:16Speaker 5: and not things that have chemicals additives because that creates
- 6:21Speaker 5: problems inside of our body.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I mean, you can just stop eating and you're gonna
- 6:25Speaker 3: lose weight. I mean absolutely, that's not gonna do you
- 6:28Speaker 3: any good exactly.
- 6:30Speaker 5: And my point is people what they have been told
- 6:33Speaker 5: and what they've lived over the years, was that diet
- 6:37Speaker 5: that they were following at that particular time. I'm not
- 6:40Speaker 5: saying that diet was bad or wrong. It just didn't
- 6:44Speaker 5: have enough information. But now we do because we have
- 6:49Speaker 5: the proof. People are now discovering and it's not just
- 6:54Speaker 5: about the sugar, but we can actually reduce dementia. You know, Dave,
- 6:59Speaker 5: I didn't grow up in a world that talked about dementia,
- 7:02Speaker 5: talked about hardening of the artery, yes, but dementia now
- 7:07Speaker 5: is almost the second word and a sentence when you
- 7:10Speaker 5: talk about an aging situation. And too bad they have dementia.
- 7:15Speaker 5: But what the research is showing that it tracks back
- 7:20Speaker 5: to the eating habits that people have had and it
- 7:23Speaker 5: creates a cumulative deposits in our bloodstream. And by the way,
- 7:28Speaker 5: the bloodstream is in the brain as well as everywhere else,
- 7:33Speaker 5: and we need to be aware of it. The Mediterranean
- 7:36Speaker 5: mindset is old, It's been around four centuries. I think
- 7:41Speaker 5: this is the way Jesus ate because what supermarket did
- 7:44Speaker 5: he go to?
- 7:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it was exactly a you know, a Trader Joe's
- 7:48Speaker 3: or Costco over.
- 7:49Speaker 5: There, right. My point is that he ate fresh, cleaned,
- 7:53Speaker 5: and then when food came over to our country across
- 7:57Speaker 5: the sea. They always refer to England as across the pond,
- 8:00Speaker 5: but I'm talking across the sea. By our research, we
- 8:05Speaker 5: found ways to make meat last long luncheon, meat lunch, meat.
- 8:11Speaker 5: It's called I think, not lunch and lunch meat. And
- 8:14Speaker 5: if you looked at the back of the label, and
- 8:17Speaker 5: you know, you're going to have a problem pronouncing some
- 8:19Speaker 5: of those words because your mouth doesn't even go that way.
- 8:24Speaker 5: And that's the stuff that preserves the chicken and the
- 8:26Speaker 5: turkey and the salami, and gosh, I could go on
- 8:30Speaker 5: and on and on about some of the meats that
- 8:33Speaker 5: that people are putting in their bodies. And yeah, it
- 8:36Speaker 5: taste good in your mouth, and yeah, you had a
- 8:37Speaker 5: sandwich on white bread. What did we feed our children
- 8:41Speaker 5: white bread with baloney?
- 8:44Speaker 3: So we are crazy? Now he's on the bologney.
- 8:46Speaker 5: Now, why you while you're a blooney man.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I'm from southern West Virginia.
- 8:50Speaker 5: Okay, let me go back and say you need to
- 8:52Speaker 5: give it up that bolooney. I don't care where are
- 8:55Speaker 5: you from, because it's bad food.
- 8:57Speaker 3: All right, Hold on one second, because we got a
- 8:59Speaker 3: phone call. Let's go to our friend Jim. You're on
- 9:01Speaker 3: with Millie.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Go ahead, good morning, Jim.
- 9:06Speaker 5: When I hear your voice, I'm really well. I'm so
- 9:09Speaker 5: happy to hear from you. How are you doing, Oh.
- 9:12Speaker 6: I'm doing pretty well. Under the circumstances. I have surgery,
- 9:22Speaker 6: so the staples come out today and so I'm happy
- 9:26Speaker 6: about that. But I'm still interested in the Mesdanian diet
- 9:32Speaker 6: and produ give and Dave, I hope you don't mind
- 9:38Speaker 6: doing it. I need a number to wear. The kitchen
- 9:44Speaker 6: here at nursing Home could call you to get a
- 9:49Speaker 6: start on the measured Radian diet for me.
- 9:53Speaker 5: I would be happy. I would be happy to talk
- 9:55Speaker 5: to someone in your kitchen and give them the information
- 9:58Speaker 5: that they need because it would be wonderful for you
- 10:02Speaker 5: and other people as well. I'll be I'll do anything.
- 10:06Speaker 5: I'll do anything to help. Absolutely.
- 10:08Speaker 6: If you could give Dave the number to get a
- 10:11Speaker 6: hold of you and he can.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Get hard, you can count on it because I'll give him.
- 10:21Speaker 3: We'll take care of it. Jim, where you're cutting down
- 10:23Speaker 3: on this really bad, We'll get you that number. Thanks
- 10:25Speaker 3: a lot. It's nine eighteen before I let you go, Millie,
- 10:28Speaker 3: I want to ask you something, UH, and I don't
- 10:31Speaker 3: bring up political things with you, but I do want
- 10:34Speaker 3: to because there was some news that was made yesterday.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Governor Morrisey came out yesterday and is asking UH that
- 10:42Speaker 3: the SNAP program eliminate soda from the program from being
- 10:47Speaker 3: allowed to purchase soda if you're on SNAP benefits, the
- 10:50Speaker 3: nutritional Program benefits, and he's asked as part of this
- 10:54Speaker 3: Mountaineer mile and everything, basically he's asked for a I
- 10:58Speaker 3: guess and I'm going to get in the story a
- 10:59Speaker 3: little bit later on we gets We actually have a
- 11:01Speaker 3: story post about it at wv metronews dot com. But
- 11:04Speaker 3: he's basically he wants it. So if you were on
- 11:07Speaker 3: SNAP benefits governmental assistance benefits for food that you could
- 11:10Speaker 3: not purchase sodas your thought.
- 11:13Speaker 5: I absolutely want to applaud that, because sugar in the
- 11:18Speaker 5: sodas plus the chemicals in the soda is no one's friend.
- 11:22Speaker 5: And yes, I applaud that one hundred percent. It's a
- 11:26Speaker 5: hard transition because a lot of people instead of drinking water,
- 11:30Speaker 5: they have coke, and they have pepsi and they.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Have West Virginia we put mountain dew in baby bottles.
- 11:35Speaker 5: I understand that.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I'm not saying it's a good thing. I'm just saying
- 11:39Speaker 3: it is.
- 11:40Speaker 5: What When my children were infants, I heard mothers say
- 11:44Speaker 5: that they were adding sugar to the blueberry buckle, which
- 11:48Speaker 5: was one of my daughter's favorites, the favorite things. But
- 11:52Speaker 5: that's a mindset.
- 11:53Speaker 3: It's a blueberry buckle, it's a delicious dessert.
- 11:56Speaker 5: Jennifer loved it. She would always smack her lips and
- 12:00Speaker 5: we love that with oatmeal, okay, But nonetheless, they were
- 12:03Speaker 5: adding sugar to baby food. So I am not the
- 12:06Speaker 5: least bit surprised that you jokingly say, although I think
- 12:09Speaker 5: you're serious that my mountain dew is in the baby.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Bottles, I mean it's I mean, I knew people that
- 12:15Speaker 3: did that. Yeah, I mean, you know it. It was
- 12:18Speaker 3: not unheard of.
- 12:19Speaker 5: Now, when you look around and you are having five
- 12:22Speaker 5: and six, maybe ten mountain dews every day, do not
- 12:26Speaker 5: question in your mind is that person healthy. Chances are
- 12:30Speaker 5: they are struggling with their weight because it's an overload
- 12:35Speaker 5: of bad ingredients in the body and the body doesn't
- 12:38Speaker 5: know what to do with it. So it just adds
- 12:40Speaker 5: to the girth.
- 12:42Speaker 3: You've been taking in any of the cycling events here
- 12:44Speaker 3: in Charleston.
- 12:45Speaker 5: No, I have not, but I'm interested in it, and
- 12:47Speaker 5: I'm so happy that our mayor may that happen and
- 12:50Speaker 5: bring this wonderful event to Charleston.
- 12:54Speaker 3: I mean, there's a whole lot of people in Charles
- 12:56Speaker 3: and it's only going to ramp up. And of course
- 12:58Speaker 3: there's the traffic issues and we all get that, but
- 13:01Speaker 3: you know, I mean, overall, it's a great event for Charleston.
- 13:03Speaker 3: And I'm somebody that works in downtown Charleston. I've had
- 13:05Speaker 3: to go through it as well. And it's only going
- 13:08Speaker 3: to get better over the next few days. And we've
- 13:09Speaker 3: got this for a couple of years, so it puts
- 13:11Speaker 3: Charleston in a national and in many cases international spotlight.
- 13:15Speaker 3: The people that you're seeing here qualifying for the Olympics,
- 13:17Speaker 3: we just saw that last year, so it's a good thing.
- 13:20Speaker 5: I just want to tell you that last year I
- 13:21Speaker 5: followed some bikers up Bridge Road and I couldn't even
- 13:25Speaker 5: drive my car because I was watching their muscles and
- 13:28Speaker 5: they didn't move. They didn't miss a move pedaling up
- 13:32Speaker 5: Bridge Road. They had me last year. There's nothing they
- 13:37Speaker 5: have to do this year. But I'm sure it's gotten
- 13:39Speaker 5: even better.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yeah, Millie, you weren't. You were behaving yourself around those
- 13:43Speaker 3: young guys on the bikes, right, trying to Okay, I'm
- 13:46Speaker 3: just trying to That's all you can do.

- 13:59Speaker 5: good Will Building. Beautiful meeting rooms, lovely accommodations, and we're

- 14:06Speaker 5: I hope to add more time slots and it's happening.

- 17:42Speaker 3: Hotline three zero four three four five fifty eight fifty eight,
- 17:44Speaker 3: Tony the Taylor Text three zero four nine three five
- 17:47Speaker 3: five zero zero. We are efforting to get doctor Sachs
- 17:50Speaker 3: on the show. Ryan is working on that as we speak.
- 17:53Speaker 3: So while we're working on getting doctor Sacks, let's knock
- 17:55Speaker 3: out a couple of texts. Texas, Dave, I remember years
- 17:59Speaker 3: ago people were told to eat healthy, so they started
- 18:01Speaker 3: to do that until the price of healthy foods tripled
- 18:04Speaker 3: and they are no longer affordable. This is the problem,
- 18:08Speaker 3: says a texture. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna argue
- 18:15Speaker 3: with that, although I will say it is possible to
- 18:17Speaker 3: plant and grow your own foods. That is a possibility, Ryan,
- 18:22Speaker 3: She is sitting next to the phone, So let me
- 18:26Speaker 3: do this. It is it is highly possible that perhaps
- 18:29Speaker 3: I gave you the wrong number. I don't know how
- 18:32Speaker 3: I did that because we call the same number every month.
- 18:34Speaker 3: So let me do this and love live radio, folks.
- 18:43Speaker 3: You gotta love it, all right. I am sending you
- 18:45Speaker 3: Ryan a all right. It is always possible that I
- 18:50Speaker 3: type the wrong number, So I just sent you the
- 18:53Speaker 3: other number. And she's sitting right by the phone. If
- 18:55Speaker 3: nothing else, will write her a letter and we'll read
- 18:57Speaker 3: it on the air. Texas. Who does the governor think
- 18:59Speaker 3: he is? Michelle Obama? I want to get into this
- 19:03Speaker 3: a little bit later on. The Governor of course announced
- 19:05Speaker 3: you what that's in reference to yesterday, and Millie and
- 19:07Speaker 3: I talked about it, all right, so I'm gonna send you.
- 19:11Speaker 3: So she says, now we'll try her sell because apparently
- 19:13Speaker 3: she's having phone issues in her office. We'll get her.
- 19:17Speaker 3: We'll get her, Bob with tarily all right. So we
- 19:20Speaker 3: still have nothing from doctor Sachs. I think we might
- 19:23Speaker 3: have her now based on looking in the glass in here,
- 19:26Speaker 3: I think we possibly have doctor Sacks.
- 19:27Speaker 11: All right.
- 19:29Speaker 3: So anyway, this was the governor came out yesterday and
- 19:34Speaker 3: said this on the and said this in a press
- 19:37Speaker 3: conference that he wants he wants to eliminate the ability
- 19:42Speaker 3: to be able to purchase SODA's if you're on a
- 19:45Speaker 3: Snap program. We have a story posted about at wv
- 19:47Speaker 3: metronews dot com. We'll get into that a little bit
- 19:49Speaker 3: later on in the show. Texas Snap should have stipulations
- 19:53Speaker 3: on them, just like Wick that's Women's Infants and Children's program,
- 19:57Speaker 3: make Snap, ebt, etcetera. With the same no junk foods,
- 20:00Speaker 3: perhaps ten percent of your monthly amount can be used
- 20:02Speaker 3: to purchase snacks, SODA's frozen items. Also, no restaurant purchases.
- 20:06Speaker 3: It's a texture. All right. We got doctor Sacks. Now
- 20:09Speaker 3: let's go to doctor Casey Sacksonbridge Valley. How you doing, doctor,
- 20:12Speaker 3: Good morning, I'm terrific.
- 20:13Speaker 12: How about you, David.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I apologize for us having the inability to get you there.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Chances are the fault lies with the host of the show.
- 20:21Speaker 12: No, we figured it out. Ryan said it was the
- 20:23Speaker 12: number he was calling was off by one digit.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Well that's out. And guess who gives him the number
- 20:28Speaker 3: to call? Oh, well that would be me, That would
- 20:31Speaker 3: be me. That's I apologize.
- 20:32Speaker 11: For that, Ryan.
- 20:33Speaker 12: Feel it all worked out.
- 20:34Speaker 3: All right. So you guys are hanging out with one
- 20:37Speaker 3: of my favorite people in the world talking about food
- 20:39Speaker 3: in Chef Paul. What's going on?
- 20:41Speaker 12: He's wonderful. So Chef Paul and health Right have had
- 20:45Speaker 12: a long standing partnership where Chef Paul actually provides training
- 20:49Speaker 12: to folks who use health Right services. And it's front
- 20:52Speaker 12: of the house, it's back of the house. It's trying
- 20:53Speaker 12: to get people who haven't seen themselves as maybe future
- 20:57Speaker 12: restaurant employees into the industry. And I learned about it
- 21:02Speaker 12: visiting health Right one day and said that this seems
- 21:05Speaker 12: worthy of college credits. So we looked at their learning
- 21:08Speaker 12: outcomes and evaluated the program and are able to award
- 21:12Speaker 12: people who complete it three college credits so that they
- 21:15Speaker 12: could use those towards an associate's degree. So we're really
- 21:19Speaker 12: trying to help people who maybe didn't see themselves as
- 21:21Speaker 12: college students, but who have had now some great training
- 21:24Speaker 12: and great work based learning from Chef poll really see
- 21:28Speaker 12: themselves as college students and maybe think about another career.
- 21:31Speaker 3: I love the fact that we are celebrating the culinary
- 21:34Speaker 3: arts because there's one thing about it. People are always
- 21:37Speaker 3: and they talk about jobs that are recession proof, and
- 21:40Speaker 3: I don't know about that when it comes to the
- 21:42Speaker 3: culinary arts, but I will say people are always going
- 21:44Speaker 3: to have to eat. You know, you can only do
- 21:46Speaker 3: AI for so many things.
- 21:47Speaker 12: Right, Gosh, that's true. It does seem like the computer
- 21:50Speaker 12: is not going to take over a function like chef
- 21:52Speaker 12: polls anytime.
- 21:53Speaker 3: If I could get a three D printer that can
- 21:55Speaker 3: make turkey and dressing, I'll be doing well. The WIN Academy,
- 22:01Speaker 3: you're having an open house next month.
- 22:03Speaker 12: So the open house next month is for everybody, but yes,
- 22:07Speaker 12: there is one that's specific for the WIN Academy. I
- 22:10Speaker 12: was actually talking to one of our Wind students recently
- 22:13Speaker 12: and she was telling me she used to be a
- 22:15Speaker 12: homeschool student and her family found out about the Win
- 22:18Speaker 12: Academy and decided to stop homeschooling her and send her
- 22:21Speaker 12: to the Win Academy for the rest of her high
- 22:23Speaker 12: school instead. And it was a good choice. She just
- 22:25Speaker 12: graduated and she's really exceptional.
- 22:27Speaker 3: And for those again who may not know you come
- 22:29Speaker 3: on every month and talk about a couple times a
- 22:30Speaker 3: month to talk about the Win Academy, explain what the
- 22:32Speaker 3: Win Academy is.
- 22:33Speaker 11: So, the Win.
- 22:34Speaker 12: Academy is an early college high school. It's a public
- 22:37Speaker 12: school for students. We used West Virginia's charter school law
- 22:40Speaker 12: to be able to spin it up. But it's a
- 22:42Speaker 12: public high school and students who are in their junior
- 22:45Speaker 12: and senior year come to Bridge Valley and take college
- 22:48Speaker 12: classes alongside college students that are really designed to get
- 22:52Speaker 12: them ready to be in nursing or in manufacturing. And
- 22:56Speaker 12: the idea is we saw that students would graduate from
- 22:59Speaker 12: high school and then need all of these prerequisite classes
- 23:01Speaker 12: to be ready to be nurses. So the college English
- 23:04Speaker 12: and microbiology and that kind of thing, and we found
- 23:08Speaker 12: that high school students can do those classes. We just
- 23:10Speaker 12: need to offer them the opportunity. So that's what we've done.
- 23:14Speaker 3: And again, I just think it's an absolutely wonderful program.
- 23:16Speaker 3: And at this time of year, when you know the
- 23:18Speaker 3: high school graduations are beginning, I think, I think I
- 23:22Speaker 3: heard on the air one of Riverside is having there
- 23:24Speaker 3: is now the CV, I think, and other schools are
- 23:27Speaker 3: going to be having their graduations. This is this is
- 23:29Speaker 3: a this is a public school we're talking about here.
- 23:33Speaker 12: It is it's a public high school. It's free to families.
- 23:36Speaker 12: It's really a great opportunity. And one of the things
- 23:39Speaker 12: we found. We had twenty students graduate from high school
- 23:42Speaker 12: a couple of weeks ago. Most of them are staying
- 23:45Speaker 12: on at Bridge Valley. They'll do one more year of
- 23:47Speaker 12: classes with us, and then they'll finish their associates degree
- 23:50Speaker 12: and start working for manufacturers in the region or for
- 23:53Speaker 12: healthcare providers in the region. But several of them have
- 23:56Speaker 12: transferred immediately to other places. They're going to mar Marshall
- 24:00Speaker 12: and Glennville and WVU and those students are taking with
- 24:04Speaker 12: them up to sixty credit hours of college coursework. So
- 24:07Speaker 12: they'll start at those places as nineteen year olds who
- 24:10Speaker 12: are in their junior year of college.
- 24:12Speaker 3: We had a text here speaking of the culinary art
- 24:15Speaker 3: somebody said, will Bridge Valley have a culinary degree program?
- 24:18Speaker 12: So we will not have a culinary degree program. And
- 24:21Speaker 12: the reason why has to do with the ratio of
- 24:24Speaker 12: how much it would cost to go to school for
- 24:26Speaker 12: a whole degree program versus how much money you make.
- 24:29Speaker 12: And so one of the things that our finance Federal
- 24:32Speaker 12: Financial Lead is really sensitive to is that ratio and
- 24:35Speaker 12: that we need to have programs on campus where if
- 24:38Speaker 12: you graduate and go work in the field and make
- 24:41Speaker 12: the average wage for the field, that you would make
- 24:43Speaker 12: more money than you would have with the high school degree.
- 24:46Speaker 12: And in culinary it's one of those areas where people
- 24:50Speaker 12: like Chef Paul would hire you with the high school
- 24:52Speaker 12: degree and pay you the same wage as if you
- 24:54Speaker 12: were to have a culinary degree.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think you've already got a you mentioned
- 24:57Speaker 3: Chef Paul, but there are others that you work with
- 24:59Speaker 3: as well. While you may not have that culinary arts program,
- 25:03Speaker 3: you do have somebody like a Chef Paul that's there
- 25:06Speaker 3: that's going to be ready to snatch you up. You know,
- 25:08Speaker 3: I'll put you to work, that's right, and so many.
- 25:11Speaker 12: Others for us to focus on the labor market outcome.
- 25:14Speaker 3: I got you, and you're registering now for fall.
- 25:16Speaker 12: We are registering right now for fall, so we've got you.
- 25:19Speaker 12: Asked about the win open house. So we're registering for
- 25:21Speaker 12: wind for fall, and that one is June tenth. We're
- 25:25Speaker 12: also actively registering adults anyone else who wants to come
- 25:29Speaker 12: for fall. Our next open registration for them is June nineteenth,
- 25:33Speaker 12: open registration for fall, And really any day is open registration,
- 25:37Speaker 12: but we try and have dedicated days so that folks
- 25:39Speaker 12: feel like they're not the only one or there's a
- 25:43Speaker 12: whole group of people going through advising, and sometimes just
- 25:45Speaker 12: having that cohort is a more comfortable experience. So you're
- 25:48Speaker 12: you're welcome any day, but June nineteenth is our next
- 25:51Speaker 12: sort of big push.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Well that's the day, all right. So I heard this
- 25:54Speaker 3: term the other day. I was actually doing a little
- 25:55Speaker 3: bit of reading about some things that you had to
- 25:57Speaker 3: going on at Bridge Valley. I heard this term Alumina Grants.
- 26:00Speaker 12: Oh yeah, so the woman that foundation is a foundation
- 26:03Speaker 12: that is just very invested in post secondary success for
- 26:07Speaker 12: learners all over the country, and they have made an
- 26:10Speaker 12: investment here in Bridge Valley to really help us with
- 26:13Speaker 12: workforce programming. And the idea is how do we best
- 26:16Speaker 12: serve our employer needs in the community. And so we've
- 26:20Speaker 12: been working really hard to figure out how do we
- 26:23Speaker 12: identify what our employers need, what's our data stay, where
- 26:26Speaker 12: are the jobs, do we have the right programs to
- 26:29Speaker 12: be able to help train people up for those jobs,
- 26:31Speaker 12: and really working with our employers and advisory committees to
- 26:34Speaker 12: get better at that. It's one of the things that
- 26:36Speaker 12: we pride ourselves in here, but it's one of also
- 26:39Speaker 12: one of the things that we feel like we should
- 26:40Speaker 12: always be focused on in doing a little better.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Doctor Katie Sachs a Bridge Valley, It's always a pleasure
- 26:45Speaker 3: to talk to you. Remind folks where they can learn
- 26:47Speaker 3: more about the programs that are going on there.
- 26:50Speaker 12: It's Bridge Valley dot Edu.
- 26:51Speaker 3: All right, we'll talk again soon. Thanks a lot, Thank

- 27:05Speaker 3: out there at Bridge Valley. Going back to the governor's
- 27:09Speaker 3: announcement yesterday, Texas, Dave not everyone has the space or
- 27:12Speaker 3: talent to grow their own food. Growing food for substance
- 27:15Speaker 3: requires time, space, and skill. People can't feed themselves or
- 27:19Speaker 3: their family on tomatoes and squash. I completely understand that.
- 27:23Speaker 3: I was not saying that that's what they're supposed to
- 27:25Speaker 3: do to totally feed their families. I'm just saying that
- 27:28Speaker 3: there are programs available. I know the Extension Service does
- 27:30Speaker 3: that to teach people how to do these things. That's
- 27:34Speaker 3: where the skill level comes in. And they're free of charge,
- 27:37Speaker 3: you know, for the most part. But it's an interesting
- 27:41Speaker 3: I'm gonna get into this little bit later on because
- 27:42Speaker 3: we gotta get in a run for the wall, but
- 27:44Speaker 3: it's a very interesting I don't even want to say argument.
- 27:47Speaker 3: I'll say it is a very interesting discussion about this
- 27:51Speaker 3: about people on snap benefits and the government telling them
- 27:54Speaker 3: what they can and can't buy. They already do this
- 27:57Speaker 3: with other programs. They already do the texture mentioned the
- 28:01Speaker 3: Wick program that is one. So it's it's an interesting discussion.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Text says I'm not go againt SODA's not being available
- 28:09Speaker 3: for snap. However, since having children, I see the necessity
- 28:13Speaker 3: for calorie dense, long shelf life, easy to prepare foods.
- 28:16Speaker 3: I cook meals for my children. But doing that two
- 28:19Speaker 3: or three times a day every day, plus house chores,
- 28:22Speaker 3: plus playing with the kids on top of working eight
- 28:24Speaker 3: hours a day, it gets exhausting. I can imagine it
- 28:28Speaker 3: would order it elt to protect themselves against severe respiratory disease,

- 32:01Speaker 3: I am fine, Thank you for being here. Tell us
- 32:03Speaker 3: about this big event.
- 32:05Speaker 11: Well, you know, Run for the Wall is It's actually
- 32:07Speaker 11: one of my favorite events that comes through, you know,
- 32:11Speaker 11: to Hurricane every year. It stops in Hurricane every other year.
- 32:15Speaker 11: We share this with with Nitro as well. But this
- 32:17Speaker 11: year the Run for the Wall. Uh, those folks, all
- 32:20Speaker 11: those veterans on motorcycles will roll into Hurricane the day
- 32:24Speaker 11: about between five and five thirty. And this is an
- 32:28Speaker 11: annual event where these these riders, they start in Ontario,
- 32:33Speaker 11: California and ride all the way across the United States.
- 32:37Speaker 11: There's three three groups of people that do it and
- 32:41Speaker 11: of course they all end up converging at the at the.
- 32:44Speaker 6: Wall in d C.
- 32:46Speaker 11: This this Memorial Day weekend, it's very special. You know,
- 32:49Speaker 11: they ride for those who can't and and it's just
- 32:52Speaker 11: a special thing and and you know Memorial Day it's
- 32:57Speaker 11: so special to me. It's uh, you know, we all
- 33:00Speaker 11: we all need to remember. We mourn in honor, you know,
- 33:03Speaker 11: those that are deceased servicemen and women, those that have
- 33:07Speaker 11: fought for us in the US military that have died.
- 33:09Speaker 11: And that's what this weekend's all about. And in Hurricane
- 33:12Speaker 11: it starts today, you know when these writers come into
- 33:15Speaker 11: town and you know they'll exit the Hurricane exit about
- 33:18Speaker 11: between five and five thirty, and we hope to have
- 33:21Speaker 11: hundreds or even thousands of people out along the sidewalks
- 33:24Speaker 11: all the way to Valley Park. Waving flags and again
- 33:27Speaker 11: it's just a special it's a special day for us.
- 33:30Speaker 3: And again you mentioned that you kind of share this
- 33:33Speaker 3: with NITRO. It's you know, it goes on a year
- 33:35Speaker 3: to year basis, and folks at NITRO do a great
- 33:36Speaker 3: job as well. And I've been to both events. I
- 33:38Speaker 3: started attending this event when I first moved to Hurricane,
- 33:41Speaker 3: which was in twenty fourteen, And the only and the
- 33:43Speaker 3: reason I did it then was because my dad. As
- 33:45Speaker 3: people listeners know, my father was a Vietnam veteran who
- 33:48Speaker 3: died of Agent Orange poisoning later in life that he
- 33:51Speaker 3: contracted during his time in Vietnam. So it's always been
- 33:54Speaker 3: something very special to be I'm going to be there
- 33:56Speaker 3: this evening with our sister Station ninety eight seven, a
- 33:58Speaker 3: Mountain Roby who's also a veteran, not quite that old,
- 34:02Speaker 3: but Rob's going to be there from ninety six to
- 34:04Speaker 3: one k WS and we're looking forward to being a
- 34:06Speaker 3: part of the festivities this evening as well. So the
- 34:09Speaker 3: riders are gonna get off on the Hurricane Accent and
- 34:12Speaker 3: they're going to roll in I'm sorry, yes, yeah, and.
- 34:15Speaker 11: They'll be coming. They'll be coming from the west. They'll
- 34:18Speaker 11: get off the Hurricane exit, go hang a left on
- 34:21Speaker 11: Tays Valley Road and all that has sidewalks so people
- 34:24Speaker 11: can can wave there. And that's what they that's what's
- 34:26Speaker 11: so special for those riders to see that we in
- 34:28Speaker 11: Hurricane and Putnam County. And I don't care if you
- 34:31Speaker 11: live in in Milton or Nitro or Charleston, wherever, Barbersville,
- 34:35Speaker 11: come on up the Hurricane. Uh, if you love America,
- 34:38Speaker 11: come on up to Hurricane right and get a flag.
- 34:40Speaker 11: And we're actually giving away small flags at Hurricane City
- 34:43Speaker 11: Hall all day to day. Uh, you know through five o'clock.
- 34:46Speaker 11: You can go through the utility drive through. We'll hang
- 34:48Speaker 11: in some flags and wave those flags. And it's it's
- 34:51Speaker 11: just gonna be so special. And then once they get
- 34:54Speaker 11: into the park in the Valley Park, you know, we'll
- 34:57Speaker 11: be feeding them and uh, they'll be staying there for
- 35:00Speaker 11: the evening, a lot of them. But people, you know,
- 35:03Speaker 11: don't you don't just have to go home after you
- 35:05Speaker 11: await the flags. You can. But I always like to
- 35:08Speaker 11: tell people, bring your children, those small children, bring them
- 35:12Speaker 11: into Valley Park. Talk to the veterans. They have so many,
- 35:17Speaker 11: so many special stories to tell you and they're so
- 35:19Speaker 11: good with kids, and the kids today need to hear
- 35:23Speaker 11: these stories. They need to hear it right from a
- 35:26Speaker 11: veteran and they will tell stories, and they're so good
- 35:28Speaker 11: with kids and adults. I mean, I've learned so much
- 35:31Speaker 11: from these folks over the years and it's absolutely amazing.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Yeah, And I think that you know, as a mom
- 35:37Speaker 3: and dad or grandparent, maybe you ought to take the
- 35:39Speaker 3: kid up there and you see that guy over there
- 35:41Speaker 3: with some aige on him. The reason that you have
- 35:43Speaker 3: that phone that you have in your hand is because
- 35:45Speaker 3: of that guy, you know, And if nothing else, you
- 35:47Speaker 3: need to go thank them and just say thank you
- 35:50Speaker 3: for the sacrifices that you made, that your families, that
- 35:52Speaker 3: your brothers and many of whom did not come home,
- 35:55Speaker 3: many are still missing. And we talk about that story
- 35:59Speaker 3: on the air all of the time. So what about
- 36:01Speaker 3: the traffic situation, because I mean, we got to throw
- 36:04Speaker 3: that in there. We battled traffic all this week in
- 36:05Speaker 3: Charleston with the bike covent. But you know Tay's Valley Road,
- 36:08Speaker 3: I live right off of it, and you don't hear
- 36:10Speaker 3: me complaining about the traffic there, because I think that's
- 36:13Speaker 3: a good thing. But at that time of evening, it
- 36:15Speaker 3: always gets a little backed up, or are you prepared
- 36:18Speaker 3: for the traffic there?
- 36:19Speaker 11: It does? Yesterday was nowhere near like it has been.
- 36:23Speaker 11: They had been doing a lot of work on the interstate.
- 36:26Speaker 11: So I'm hoping that's not happening today because that forced
- 36:29Speaker 11: a lot of people onto tes Valley Road. But the bikers,
- 36:33Speaker 11: we will get them right through. Everything will we'll take
- 36:36Speaker 11: care of it. And and even if people have to
- 36:38Speaker 11: wait a few minutes, Hey, that's okay. These uh, these
- 36:41Speaker 11: veterans on these motorcycles are are super special, like you said,
- 36:46Speaker 11: you know, especially to the young kids. Hey, that's why
- 36:48Speaker 11: you have that iPhone near your hand. That that's why
- 36:50Speaker 11: I was had a chance to be in an election
- 36:53Speaker 11: and voted in as mayor. You know, these folks and
- 36:56Speaker 11: all the folks that fought for our country and died
- 37:01Speaker 11: for our country are the reason why we're here today
- 37:03Speaker 11: and doing the things we're doing. We're free to talk
- 37:05Speaker 11: about whatever we want to today on the air. And
- 37:08Speaker 11: that's amazing and it's because of them.
- 37:11Speaker 3: And so they'll stand down there tonight in Valley Park
- 37:14Speaker 3: and then they'll head to Charleston after that, right, and
- 37:17Speaker 3: then they'll continue and as he said, it all wraps
- 37:19Speaker 3: up Memorial Day in DC. Mayor Edwards, you know, you
- 37:23Speaker 3: folks just do a fantastic job, as does Mayor case
- 37:25Speaker 3: Bold and Joe and all the folks in Nitro when
- 37:27Speaker 3: they have it there. Everybody kind of works together on
- 37:29Speaker 3: this thing. And do you talk to these bikers, man,
- 37:32Speaker 3: they love coming to West Virginia.
- 37:34Speaker 11: They love it, and they've told us for years. And
- 37:37Speaker 11: I hope they don't tell every stop this, but they
- 37:39Speaker 11: but no, they always say that this is West Virginia
- 37:43Speaker 11: is so welcoming. So many other places they stop across
- 37:46Speaker 11: the country, they don't get to welcome that we give them.
- 37:49Speaker 11: And it's known that West Virginia's we're always like this.
- 37:52Speaker 11: We're open, we're welcome. We wave, we welcome them in
- 37:55Speaker 11: and bring them in and give them a hug and
- 37:58Speaker 11: whatever they need. But but we do that. And I
- 38:01Speaker 11: hope that today we come out in force and show.
- 38:04Speaker 6: It again, you know.
- 38:04Speaker 11: And sometimes so many people don't come out and then
- 38:07Speaker 11: they'll say, man, I wish I would have done that.
- 38:09Speaker 11: I'm like, well it will be two more years, like
- 38:12Speaker 11: today's the day to do it, not not two years
- 38:14Speaker 11: from now, but today's the day and real quick before
- 38:17Speaker 11: I forget huge shout out to Steve McGrath and his
- 38:21Speaker 11: whole committee of volunteers that spearheads and organizes this and
- 38:25Speaker 11: works hand in hand with the city and also hand
- 38:28Speaker 11: in hand with the Valley Park. The folks at the
- 38:31Speaker 11: Valley Park open their doors, open the conference center. The
- 38:35Speaker 11: whole thing is for the use of the of the
- 38:38Speaker 11: bikers and the run for the wall committees and all
- 38:40Speaker 11: the volunteers. It's amazing, you know what all this comes together.
- 38:45Speaker 11: But Steve McGrath and his whole team of people, absolutely
- 38:49Speaker 11: amazing group of volunteers.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Shout out to Justin Williams and the Posta at Valley
- 38:53Speaker 3: Park as well.
- 38:53Speaker 11: Absolutely, Hey Mayor.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Looking forward to seeing you this evening. As I said,
- 38:56Speaker 3: a couple of our stations are going to be there,
- 38:58Speaker 3: the mounth In ninety eight seven ninety six to one
- 39:00Speaker 3: kwus we're going to be on site there this evening.
- 39:03Speaker 3: So looking forward to seeing you there, my friend. We'll
- 39:05Speaker 3: talk tonight.
- 39:06Speaker 11: I will be there. We'll see you. Have a great day,

- 40:06Speaker 3: this question. How come it's always the wealthy suit wearing
- 40:09Speaker 3: people with multiple houses telling those with less how they
- 40:12Speaker 3: should live. It's always people far far removed from difficult
- 40:15Speaker 3: circumstances telling people in the difficult circumstances what's best for them.
- 40:20Speaker 3: These people are entitled narcissists. Guarantee Patrick Morrissey has someone
- 40:24Speaker 3: who cleans his personal house. Well, I mean, if you're
- 40:26Speaker 3: talking about the governor's mansion, that's not his personal house.
- 40:28Speaker 3: I know, and I would say he probably does. I
- 40:30Speaker 3: don't know anything about Governor Morris's personal house, but I
- 40:33Speaker 3: will say, and this may make some of you a
- 40:36Speaker 3: little bit angry, I will say this. As taxpayers, you
- 40:39Speaker 3: have a right to know how your money is being
- 40:40Speaker 3: spent on every program. And I understand what the texture
- 40:45Speaker 3: there is is saying, but wealthy people pay taxes matters
- 40:49Speaker 3: a matter of fact, they pay the majority of the taxes,
- 40:51Speaker 3: so they have a right to at least question and
- 40:54Speaker 3: ask for and just to ask questions about how the
- 40:56Speaker 3: money is being spent. Texas, I think are veteran on
- 41:00Speaker 3: state government is a problem of being run by people
- 41:02Speaker 3: completely detached from the realities on the ground most people
- 41:05Speaker 3: are living through. I would agree with that, but I

- 41:43Speaker 3: will say this, and we'll go to break about the
- 41:47Speaker 3: and again, this event that's going to be happening in
- 41:49Speaker 3: Hurricane and then later in Charleston eventually ended up in DC.
- 41:52Speaker 3: This is not a political event, Manu, stretch of the imagination.
- 41:55Speaker 3: I will say this, though I do spend a lot
- 41:56Speaker 3: of time talking to veterans, many of whom do support
- 42:00Speaker 3: President Trump. I also spend a lot of time talking
- 42:04Speaker 3: to veterans who do not support Donald Trump. And it's
- 42:09Speaker 3: it's interesting to me, it seems like, and this is
- 42:13Speaker 3: very antidotal evidence, but it seems to me like the
- 42:15Speaker 3: older veterans of a lot, not not saying all, but
- 42:20Speaker 3: a lot of the Vietnam era veterans are the ones
- 42:23Speaker 3: that have the biggest problem with President Trump, mainly because
- 42:28Speaker 3: he and others on both sides of the out chows
- 42:30Speaker 3: not to go and put their lives on the line
- 42:33Speaker 3: like they did. And maybe that's why. Maybe you know
- 42:36Speaker 3: that generation the sixties and seventies tended to be even
- 42:39Speaker 3: if they were in the military, tend to be a
- 42:41Speaker 3: little bit more liberal anyway in some of their other
- 42:45Speaker 3: thought processes. So I just think it's interesting to somebody
- 42:47Speaker 3: who spends a lot of time volunteering for veterans services,
- 42:50Speaker 3: particularly Vietnam, that there are a lot of Vietnam era
- 42:53Speaker 3: veterans that don't have a lot of respect for President
- 42:55Speaker 3: Donald Trump, and there are some that do. How's that

- 47:21Speaker 3: posted at wv metronews dot com. We knock out a
- 47:25Speaker 3: couple of texts. Majority of Vietnam veterans support Trump asked
- 47:30Speaker 3: him about their thoughts on John Kerry or Hanoid Jane.
- 47:34Speaker 3: More than one thing can be right at the same
- 47:35Speaker 3: time too. I can tell you. I can tell you
- 47:38Speaker 3: one Vietnam veteran who has absolutely nothing for Donald Trump
- 47:44Speaker 3: and who had also had absolutely nothing for Bill Clinton either.
- 47:49Speaker 3: So consistency Tex says Dave West. Virginia is going to
- 47:53Speaker 3: lose at least a billion dollars in federal dollars has
- 47:55Speaker 3: been allocated to the state, and our representatives are just
- 47:58Speaker 3: going to let happen. TJ. Meadows, who's perfectly happy to
- 48:03Speaker 3: set by, set back and watch things happen, but then
- 48:06Speaker 3: he writes commentaries and makes everybody mad. Why are you
- 48:09Speaker 3: making people mad now? So I wrote a piece. Yesterday.
- 48:13Speaker 15: Christy nom testified before a Senate committee, and she was
- 48:18Speaker 15: asked a very simple question, what is habeas corpus. She
- 48:22Speaker 15: proceeded to say that it was a right, a constitutional
- 48:27Speaker 15: right that the president had to deport people from this country.
- 48:31Speaker 15: That's not what habeas corpus is. She was corrected in
- 48:36Speaker 15: that she was told that habeas corpus is the government's
- 48:42Speaker 15: duty to explain why they are publicly jailing someone, to
- 48:47Speaker 15: put it in simple terms, after the body, before the body.
- 48:53Speaker 15: I wrote about that, and some people thought that I
- 48:57Speaker 15: was picking on her. I'm sorry. The Secretary of Homeland
- 49:05Speaker 15: Security who oversees ice, whose job it is to deport people,
- 49:11Speaker 15: and look, if you are here illegally, you should be deported.
- 49:13Speaker 15: I said that very plainly in the commentary that person
- 49:17Speaker 15: should have an understanding of one of the bed rock
- 49:20Speaker 15: foundational principles of our government and one of the protections
- 49:24Speaker 15: of the people.
- 49:25Speaker 3: Sorry, and you do have those protections, whether you're here
- 49:28Speaker 3: legally or really correct process. And that's what I think
- 49:31Speaker 3: some people don't understand. Because I read the text that
- 49:35Speaker 3: you get, I read the text that I get. People
- 49:37Speaker 3: will say they have no rights because they're here illegally.
- 49:40Speaker 3: That's not what the constitution says. Whether you like it
- 49:43Speaker 3: or not. If you don't like it, go change the law,
- 49:45Speaker 3: you know, but they do have that they have every
- 49:47Speaker 3: right as an American citizen if they're on US soil.
- 49:50Speaker 3: That's the law.
- 49:52Speaker 15: Habeas corpus goes back to the twelve hundreds part of
- 49:56Speaker 15: common English law English common law that says, Look, you
- 49:59Speaker 15: can't throw somebody in jail, lock them up, throw away
- 50:02Speaker 15: the key. You have to tell them why you're jailing them.
- 50:05Speaker 15: I mean, it's that simple, whether they are a citizen
- 50:08Speaker 15: or not, due process, whether they are a citizen or not.
- 50:11Speaker 3: All right, So what do you think about the governor yesterday?
- 50:14Speaker 3: He's going after your mountain dew? You're not. You're not
- 50:16Speaker 3: a soda drinker, though, are you? I love coke? Oh yeah,
- 50:19Speaker 3: I drink coke all the time.
- 50:20Speaker 15: I don't know how the birds are going to get
- 50:22Speaker 15: so high without that kid old mountain dew. I mean,
- 50:24Speaker 15: that's my number one concern. Look personally, where I'm at
- 50:28Speaker 15: on this. We wanted work requirements around Snap benefits. We
- 50:32Speaker 15: tried to pass that legislation. It failed. This is a
- 50:36Speaker 15: way to backdoor it to say people can't have mountain
- 50:40Speaker 15: dew and different things. I'd rather see the work requirements.
- 50:43Speaker 15: If you're worried about the people that are on Snap
- 50:45Speaker 15: and you think they're abusing Snap, put work requirements, put
- 50:49Speaker 15: some kind of control on the program that ensures that
- 50:54Speaker 15: they're not just milking the system. And if you can't
- 50:56Speaker 15: get that through the legislature, don't try to say, oh,
- 50:59Speaker 15: we're trying to make PEP healthy and all this.
- 51:01Speaker 3: No. I mean, you're trying to get people off SNAP,
- 51:03Speaker 3: which I'm fine with, but just admit what you're doing.
- 51:06Speaker 3: It seems to me though, and you can play Devil's
- 51:08Speaker 3: advocate here, and I'm gonna get into this on the
- 51:10Speaker 3: Midday Show a little bit later on. It seems to
- 51:12Speaker 3: me though, that we have yet another example of things
- 51:17Speaker 3: that probably don't go through the legislature, but we're going
- 51:19Speaker 3: to try a different approach to it, and the next
- 51:22Speaker 3: governor can undo it that easily. Yeah, yeah, And look,
- 51:26Speaker 3: in his defense, he's not the only governor asking for this.
- 51:29Speaker 3: Other governors are asking for waivers from the Feds as well.
- 51:32Speaker 3: But again, I'm a straight shooter. We want less people
- 51:37Speaker 3: on SNAP, fine, then put work requirements, put better controls.
- 51:42Speaker 3: Don't try to backdoor it by taking away Mountain dew.
- 51:45Speaker 3: But I do think that as a taxpayer, no matter
- 51:47Speaker 3: whether you're an elected division or not, you do have
- 51:49Speaker 3: a right to question how your money's being so sure, absolutely,
- 51:53Speaker 3: but I wouldn't let it stop there.
- 51:54Speaker 15: There's a whole lot of just say we're tired of
- 51:56Speaker 15: spending this money.
- 51:58Speaker 3: People are milking the system. You're going to take it away.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Don't blame it on health. That's nothing to do with health.
- 52:03Speaker 3: All right, you gotta leave it there, mister Meadows, mister Wilson,
