Transcript
- 0:00Chapter 9 from the book of Zechariah.
- 0:03It's a prophecy so I'm sure we won't get everything right or
- 0:08understood, but there's a lot here and it's about the end
- 0:10times. So let's pray first.
- 0:13Dear Lord, please be with us as we read through the Scripture
- 0:17and give us wisdom, insight, open our minds, our eyes, our
- 0:21hearts, our ears to what you have to say through Zechariah
- 0:25and help us to apply this to the world, to us.
- 0:30And we ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
- 0:35So this is called judgment on Israel's enemies.
- 0:39And it's kind of interesting right now because of what is
- 0:43happening in the world. And when you see where these
- 0:45towns are, it just makes me wonder, are we seeing some of
- 0:51this right now? So anyway, I will get started.
- 0:56Chapter 9, a prophecy, The word of the Lord is against the land
- 1:00of Hadrack. Well, this area is north of
- 1:04Lebanon. And if you know what's happening
- 1:07right now, this is March 14th, 2026.
- 1:11There are missiles going back and forth from, you know,
- 1:18obviously the primary war is with Iran, between Iran and
- 1:25Israel, and the United States is participating too.
- 1:27But then the Israel is coming against all of Iran's proxies,
- 1:33such as Hezbollah, which is in this area that we're going to
- 1:37talk about right now. Obviously, in recent years,
- 1:42there has been a target against Hamas, who was running its
- 1:46operations out of the Gaza area. And now there's Hezbollah, which
- 1:51is another connection to Iran, and they all hate Israel.
- 1:56They all hate the United States too.
- 1:59There's also the Houthis, but that is not really addressed in
- 2:03this prophecy. So anyway, these are land areas
- 2:07that we're talking about and it's always helpful when we
- 2:10refer back to that. And the only reason I do that is
- 2:14because of what it says in Ephesians 6, chapter 12 where it
- 2:18talks about principalities in the heavenly realms.
- 2:22That and then also in the book of Daniel where it talks about
- 2:26in the heavenly realms, how this it's of Persia or king of Persia
- 2:30is at war with Michael who overseas Israel.
- 2:34So it's very clear. Plus, I think in the book of
- 2:38Job, it talks about that and, and then in the non biblical
- 2:43book of Enoch, it talks about how these heavenly beings have
- 2:48certain like jurisdictions over different areas.
- 2:51And throughout history in the Bible, we can see that these
- 2:56areas, these land areas tended to have the same attitude
- 3:01towards Israel repeatedly over and over again.
- 3:06So that's where my theory comes from.
- 3:11But again, it's, it's a theory and and it's just something that
- 3:16we should watch because God gave us this information from
- 3:22Zechariah. It was written down in the BC
- 3:24time and it's still here today. And it as I read through it,
- 3:31it's very clear to me that this is talking about the end times
- 3:34and nothing that has happened prior to unless it was like a
- 3:37partial fulfillment, but then ultimately it will be fulfilled
- 3:42in the very last days. So anyway, I will continue here.
- 3:48So he will OK, the word of the Lord is against the land.
- 3:52OK, that's head wreck that is north of Lebanon and will come
- 3:56to rest on Damascus, which is in Syria.
- 4:01And we should pay attention to this.
- 4:03It does say at one point, I do think I have the scripture
- 4:06called up where it says Damascus will be ruined, it'll no longer
- 4:09be a city, and that hasn't happened yet on.
- 4:13So again, just pay attention to what's going on in the world for
- 4:17the eyes of all people and all tribes of Israel are on the Lord
- 4:22and on Hemeth 2, which borders on it, and that's in Syria and
- 4:29on Tyre and Sidon, though they are very skillful.
- 4:35Well, that's Lebanon. There's a lot of things
- 4:38happening in Lebanon right now. Tyre is interesting because Tyre
- 4:44did go through some desolation period.
- 4:49It did say that Tyre will be desolate for about 70 years or
- 4:54so, and that may have been completed.
- 4:57But Tyre, there's another part of scripture where Tyre is the
- 5:01king of Tyre is it seems like it was actually referring to Satan.
- 5:06And I will read that prophecy. And again, does this support the
- 5:12theory that there are certain entities in the heavenly realms
- 5:17that oversee certain land areas? And is Satan over this area,
- 5:22right? You know, for a temporary period
- 5:24until Jesus returns and takes back that area?
- 5:28Just a question is something to think about, but it is in the
- 5:31Bible. Tyre has built herself a
- 5:33stronghold. She has heaped up silver like
- 5:37dust and gold like the dirt of the streets.
- 5:40But the Lord will take away her possessions and destroy her
- 5:44power on the sea, and she will be consumed by fire.
- 5:49I thought this was interesting because this is what it says
- 5:52about Mystery Babylon too, that Mystery Babylon will be
- 5:57destroyed by fire. And it seems like in prophecy,
- 6:04the first somewhat destructive wrath that came from God was the
- 6:09flood, and he said he would never do that again.
- 6:11But the second is this fire that's going to come upon, which
- 6:16I think is probably war, which is going to come upon the whole
- 6:20earth. And the purpose of it is to
- 6:22refine the earth, refine the people who are in it.
- 6:28Sometimes when we are brought to our lowest point is when we
- 6:32finally turn to God. And I think that's what it's all
- 6:35the stubborn people who won't turn to God and he's going to
- 6:39have to do something really big to make people's eyes open.
- 6:43And I think that's what we are seeing building up right now
- 6:47when we look at the world and we look at the morality that the
- 6:50world is the condition of the world right now.
- 6:54We are seeing AAI don't know, a resurgence, a revival of
- 7:00Christianity to some degree, but there is definitely opposition.
- 7:05We have terms like Christian Zionists and stuff like that.
- 7:10So obviously not everyone is on the same page with us.
- 7:14And it's just there's, it's a very divided state and just like
- 7:20a state of being is what I mean. And it's just like what Jesus
- 7:24said, you know, a Kingdom divided cannot stand.
- 7:27So we're definitely divided. It looks like we're divided all
- 7:31over the world for different reasons and different areas.
- 7:34And with division like that, it's only it seems almost
- 7:40inevitable that it's going to collapse.
- 7:44And and there I don't know, anyway, I'm not going to go too
- 7:49far into that anymore. So verse 5, Ashkelon will see it
- 7:54in fear. Gaza will writhe in agony and
- 7:58Ekron too, for her hope will wither.
- 8:02Gaza will lose her king. So, you know, if this was an old
- 8:07prophecy that was that happened, you know, maybe somebody from
- 8:11ancient times was lost at this time.
- 8:14But then could it mean spiritually there is some ruler,
- 8:19king, you know, some ruler, I think a lot of times these are
- 8:22called Malik or something MELEK. And and so is God's going to
- 8:28leave lose her spiritual king that's ruling over her?
- 8:34That's kind of what I interpreted as.
- 8:37And Ashkelon will be deserted. So Ashkelon is in Israel right
- 8:41now. So that's another thing that
- 8:43that hasn't happened yet. A mongrel people will occupy
- 8:47Ashdod and I will put an end to the pride of the Philistines.
- 8:53That's the coast land where they lived, like Gaza area.
- 8:58So what has happened recently in that area?
- 9:01I mean, it seems like a lot of it has been decimated from war.
- 9:05I will take, I will take the blood from their mouths, the
- 9:10forbidden food from their teeth. Those who are left will belong
- 9:15to our God and become a clan in Judah.
- 9:19That's almost like a hopeful promise, right?
- 9:21And Ekron will be like the Jebusites.
- 9:26But I will encamp at my temple to guarded against marauding
- 9:32forces. Never again will an oppressor
- 9:35overrun my people. For now, I am keeping watch.
- 9:41So never again will an oppressor overrun my people.
- 9:46For now, I am keeping watch. I don't know.
- 9:49I don't know if we're about timing.
- 9:53Never again will an oppressor overrun my people.
- 9:55I know in 2023 God's people were overrun October 7th, 2023.
- 10:02And right now it seems like Israel is succeeding somewhat in
- 10:08in the war. And but we do know that there is
- 10:13going to be a time according to prophecy, where everybody
- 10:16believes they have peace, but then comes sudden destruction.
- 10:19So I don't believe we are there yet.
- 10:21So I do think all of this is like future prophecy because it
- 10:25says never again will an oppressor overrun my people.
- 10:28For now I am keeping watch. Says rejoice greatly.
- 10:32Daughter Zion shout daughter Jerusalem, see your king comes
- 10:38to you righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey on
- 10:45a colt, the foal of a donkey. I'm going to pause right there
- 10:49because a lot of people who know the Old Testament, the you know,
- 10:56the Jewish first. Well, I guess these are from the
- 11:00prophets. So this is 1 where people who
- 11:07the Jewish people, they, they know Zechariah and they've,
- 11:13they've heard of it, But do they know that this is referencing
- 11:16Jesus? And the only way they would know
- 11:19that is if they actually went to the Gospels where it was
- 11:23documented. So I'm going to go to where the
- 11:26Gospels are and it says, see, your king comes to you righteous
- 11:30and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey on a colt the full
- 11:34of a donkey. So I don't know why the Jewish
- 11:38people didn't recognize Jesus when he came into Jerusalem
- 11:43riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey, because
- 11:49Zechariah prophesied about that and he was saying rejoice,
- 11:53rejoice. Now I'm going to read what is
- 11:56documented in all four gospels just to make this point.
- 12:03So Matthew 21 verses one through 5 as they Jesus comes to
- 12:08Jerusalem as king. As they approached Jerusalem and
- 12:12came to Bethpage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent to disciples
- 12:17saying to them, go to the village ahead of you, and at
- 12:22once you will find a donkey tied there with her colt by her.
- 12:28Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you,
- 12:34say that the Lord needs them and He will send them right away.
- 12:39This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet
- 12:45in quotations. Say to daughter Zion, See, your
- 12:48king comes to you gentle and riding on a donkey and on a colt
- 12:54the foal of a donkey. The disciples went and did as
- 12:59Jesus had instructed them, and I'll read further.
- 13:03They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on
- 13:06them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their
- 13:10cloaks on the road, while the others cut branches from the
- 13:12trees and spread them on the road.
- 13:14The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed
- 13:17shouted Hosanna to the Son of David.
- 13:20Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the
- 13:26highest heaven. When Jesus entered Jerusalem,
- 13:29the whole city was stirred and asked, Who is this?
- 13:33The the crowds answered, This is Jesus the prophet from Nazareth
- 13:39in Galilee. So then we'll go to the Gospel
- 13:44of Mark and read what he said about this.
- 13:48As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethpage and Bethany at
- 13:52the Mount of Aloes, Jesus sent two of his disciples saying to
- 13:54them, go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it,
- 13:57you will find a cult tied there which no one has ever ridden.
- 14:01Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks why are you doing
- 14:03it, say the Lord needs it and we'll send it back here shortly.
- 14:07They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied it
- 14:11at a doorway, tied at a doorway. As they united it, some people
- 14:17standing there said, What are you doing untying that colt?
- 14:19They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them
- 14:22go. When they brought the colt to
- 14:24Jesus and threw their coats cloaks over it, he sat on it.
- 14:28Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread
- 14:31branches they had cut in the fields.
- 14:34Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted Hosanna.
- 14:38Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
- 14:41Blessed is the coming King of our Father, David Hosanna.
- 14:47In the highest, Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the
- 14:51temple courts. He looked around at everything,
- 14:54but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the
- 14:5812. That's the end of the account in
- 15:01Mark. Now we'll read what Luke said
- 15:04about this and that starts in Luke chapter 19 verse 28.
- 15:10After Jesus had said this, he went ahead going up to
- 15:15Jerusalem. As he approached Bethpage and
- 15:18Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent 2 two
- 15:22of his disciples saying to them, go to the village ahead of you.
- 15:25As you enter it, you will find a colt tied there which no one has
- 15:30ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.
- 15:33If anyone asks you why are you untying it, say the Lord needs
- 15:38it. Those who were sent ahead went
- 15:40and found it just as he had told them.
- 15:43As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them why are
- 15:46you untying the colt? They replied the Lord needs it.
- 15:49They brought it to Jesus through their cloaks on the colt and put
- 15:52Jesus on it as he went along. The people spread their cloaks
- 15:57on the Road Rd. When he came near the place
- 16:00where the road goes down to the Mount of Olives.
- 16:02The whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in
- 16:06loud voices for all the miracles they had seen.
- 16:10Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord, peace in
- 16:15heaven and glory in the highest. Some of the Pharisees in the
- 16:19crowd said to Jesus, Teacher, rebuke your disciples, I tell
- 16:24you, he replied, If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.
- 16:30As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it
- 16:34and said, If you even you had only known on this day what
- 16:40would bring you peace, but now it is hidden from your eyes.
- 16:44The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an
- 16:49embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on
- 16:53every side. They will dash you to the
- 16:56ground, you and the children within your walls.
- 16:59They will not leave one stone on another because you did not
- 17:04recognize the time of God's coming to you.
- 17:09That is really eye opening because that so clearly says, I
- 17:18mean explains everything. So then we will read one more
- 17:23from John chapter 12 verses 12 through 19 how John tells this.
- 17:29The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival
- 17:33heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem.
- 17:36They took palm branches and went out to meet him shouting
- 17:39Hosanna. Blessed is he who comes in the
- 17:41name of the Lord. Blessed is the king of Israel.
- 17:44Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it as it is written.
- 17:48Do not be afraid, daughter. Zion, see your is coming.
- 17:51Seated on a donkey's colt. At first, his disciples did not
- 17:56understand all of this. Only after Jesus was glorified
- 18:01did they realize that these things had happened, that these
- 18:04things had been written about Him, and that these things had
- 18:09been done to Him. Now the crowd that was with him
- 18:13when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the
- 18:16dead, continued to spread the word.
- 18:19Many people, because they had heard that he had performed the
- 18:23sign, went out to meet him. So the Pharisee said to one
- 18:27another, see, this is getting us nowhere.
- 18:30Look how the whole world has gone after him.
- 18:34There was some jealousy from the Pharisees about Jesus.
- 18:36So anyway, the point is that Zechariah wrote this thousands,
- 18:44hundreds of years ago at that point and it was written in
- 18:48advance of Jesus, but Jesus fulfilled it.
- 18:51There were 4 witnesses who said this.
- 18:54Like there was Matthew, there was John, and there was Mark
- 18:58who? Well Matthew and John were
- 18:59probably the eyewitnesses. Mark probably heard about it
- 19:03through Peter, who was his close friend.
- 19:05And then Luke interviewed many, many, many witnesses.
- 19:10He was a doctor and he was writing his gospel for I think
- 19:14it was like Theophilus or something like that.
- 19:17I may have the name wrong. But anyway, he, he was kind of
- 19:20like an investigative journalist and went out and spoke to people
- 19:24who had witnessed it. So he found evidence of all
- 19:28these things. So you can see from each one of
- 19:30these stories, there's a little bit, it's the same story, but a
- 19:33little bit of different detail, which further supports the truth
- 19:37of this. And each person told this story
- 19:40or retold the story from their own perspective, what they saw,
- 19:43what they witnessed and how they saw it.
- 19:45But the story primarily is consistent.
- 19:49And so this is another further evidence of the the truth that's
- 19:54found in the Bible. So let's go to verse 10.
- 19:57I will take away the Chariots from Ephraim and the war horses
- 20:01from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken.
- 20:05He will proclaim peace to the nations.
- 20:09His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the river to the
- 20:14ends of the earth. This is always, this is
- 20:17interesting to me just because of that chant that was going out
- 20:21about the river to the sea. And it's actually, you know,
- 20:25taken originally from the Bible. But this is like Jesus is going
- 20:29to rule this whole land from the river and to the ends of the
- 20:34earth. So I think the river was
- 20:37referred to that as the Euphrates river to the ends of
- 20:41the earth. So this is future.
- 20:43Obviously Jesus did come. He died on the cross, but he
- 20:46will return again. And so Jesus is the one who will
- 20:50finally proclaim peace. Unfortunately, according to
- 20:54Bible prophecy, there is someone who comes, many actually false
- 20:58messiahs that come before Jesus and there will be one
- 21:02significant one who will claim peace and people will be
- 21:06deceived by it. We know right now that the Jews
- 21:11are looking for the Messiah and they don't believe he is a
- 21:14deity. They just believe he is like a
- 21:17prophet or somebody good. So they are looking for this
- 21:20Messiah and think this Messiah is very close and also that this
- 21:24Messiah will rebuild the temple and, and there's going to be
- 21:27peace and there's going to be all these nations.
- 21:29So they are completely set up for deception and that's
- 21:34something that's coming in the future.
- 21:36Then you also have the Muslims, the Arab, the Muslims who
- 21:40believe that their Mahdi is coming and their Mahdi matches
- 21:46the description of the Antichrist.
- 21:47When you study that what the Christians know as the
- 21:51Antichrist, which all of this is kind of, you know, confusing
- 21:56because, you know, how could Jewish people ever submit to a
- 22:00Muslim Antichrist? And but then the IT gets even
- 22:07more confusing and you know, like Satan is the author of
- 22:10confusion. So like the Muslim people are
- 22:14looking for their Mahdi, but then they have this they do have
- 22:17an Antichrist they call the Dijol and and so it and then
- 22:22they say Jesus comes also, but then submits to their Mahdi.
- 22:26Well, we know Jesus does not submit to their Mahdi.
- 22:29So, you know, it just could be a whole part of the deception.
- 22:33I don't know if the future lawless one, this, this fake
- 22:39Messiah, this one who claims to be God on on the Temple Mount
- 22:45area. I don't know if he's going to be
- 22:50Israelite, if he's going to be from the tribe of Dan, maybe
- 22:53he's going to be like a mixture of Muslim and, and in Israel.
- 22:58I, I just don't know. I mean, I don't, I don't know
- 23:02what they, what is actually going to come about.
- 23:05But whatever does happen, it's going to be, it's going to
- 23:10create confusion. There's going to be a lot of
- 23:11people who believe that this person comes in peace and this
- 23:16person is somebody significant, but it it won't be, there's
- 23:22going to be sudden destruction because as soon as this person
- 23:25claims to be God, the Bible prophecy says those who are in
- 23:29Jerusalem should flee to the mountains.
- 23:32So everybody's going to think it's he's all great until that
- 23:36happens. And and we just really should be
- 23:40watchful about that because that's unfulfilled prophecy, but
- 23:43that happens before Jesus returns.
- 23:46So it's really clear in Scripture and a lot of people
- 23:48are thinking that they're not going to see that.
- 23:50But the way Jesus talked about it in Matthew 24, if you read
- 23:54verse by verse in sequence of how he says these things will
- 23:58unfold, we're going to see the lawless 1 before he returns.
- 24:03Whoever, you know, I think maybe we might be that that
- 24:06generation, but you know, maybe it's going to be a future one.
- 24:10Whoever's present at that time is going to see the lawless 1
- 24:14before he before Jesus returns. So verse 11 As for you, because
- 24:22of the blood of my covenant with you, I will free your prisoners
- 24:26from the waterless pit. Return to your fortresses, you
- 24:30prisoners of hope. Even now I announce that I will
- 24:34restore twice as much to you. Now this is being spoken of to
- 24:42Jerusalem and this is just God's compassion like it.
- 24:47The story basically is how people, all of us really turn
- 24:54away from God. We follow our own desires.
- 24:57We don't have God as our priority.
- 25:00We forget God. We, you know, it's, it's only
- 25:04after something really bad happens to us do we turn to God
- 25:08often. And that's not for everybody,
- 25:11but that's a majority of the people and it's a majority of
- 25:13what has written about in the Bible.
- 25:15And it just happens over and over and over again.
- 25:18People are turning away from God, but he is so loving.
- 25:23I mean, so many things that says there's no greater that love
- 25:26than to lay one's life down for another, which is what Jesus did
- 25:31on the cross for all of us so that we could have the ability
- 25:35to enter the Kingdom of God. And and that is, you know why
- 25:41Jesus says he is the way, the truth and the life.
- 25:43And no one comes to the Father except through him.
- 25:45So Jesus is instrumental. And Jesus also said that no one
- 25:49can enter the Kingdom of God unless they are born again.
- 25:53So you have to receive the Holy Spirit like Jesus died on the
- 25:56cross. You also have to receive the
- 25:58Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit is given to
- 26:01you when Jesus knows that your heart is truly repentant because
- 26:07you can't just ask. I mean, Jesus knows whether
- 26:12you're sincere or not in wanting to get right with God,
- 26:17essentially. And Jesus will give you the Holy
- 26:20Spirit if you are repentant. If you've turned away from your
- 26:23sins doesn't mean that you've cleaned up your ACT because
- 26:28Jesus, I mean, Jesus came for the sinners.
- 26:30He, he came for all the people who are in a messed up
- 26:34situation. He doesn't expect us to clean up
- 26:37our act. That was something that delayed
- 26:39me getting baptized personally because I thought, well, I
- 26:42really need to clean up my ACT first before I do this and, you
- 26:46know, not be a hypocrite anymore, which I think the
- 26:49intention of that is really important because it's really
- 26:53the Holy Spirit who enables us to overcome our sinful ways
- 27:00Through what the Bible refers to are through what I guess
- 27:04Christianity refers to as sanctification, where the Holy
- 27:08Spirit actually changes our life.
- 27:09So you're going to have a before and after picture when the Holy
- 27:13Spirit comes into your life, you're going to see a change and
- 27:16you will reflect more closely. You're not going to be perfect
- 27:21still, but it's a process of of sanctification, of purification
- 27:26over the time until Jesus returns.
- 27:28And at that point we will instantly be changed and have
- 27:32immortal bodies. Now God will not allow someone
- 27:36to have an immortal body unless they are purified, so purified
- 27:44by his own spirit. It's not something that we have
- 27:46to do. But the point is, that's why I
- 27:50say that's when it happens, when Jesus returns, because we're
- 27:53given immortal bodies and God wouldn't give evil immortal
- 27:56bodies. So we have to have the Holy
- 27:58Spirit in us. Just like Jesus said, you must
- 28:00be born again. You need the Holy Spirit and in
- 28:03order to get the Holy Spirit you need to be fully true, truly
- 28:06repentant in your ways. You need to at least want to,
- 28:11but rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to be able to
- 28:14overcome sin. I think a lot of people are
- 28:18deceived by churches. Just say that they use one verse
- 28:22in the Bible or maybe a couple verses that said all you have to
- 28:24do is believe because people quote that all the time and that
- 28:29is true. You do have to believe, but if
- 28:32it was only believe, then there's a couple verses that
- 28:36that kind of like deflate that when it says that you know that
- 28:42the demons believe in shudder, like even the demons believe in
- 28:46shudder. So that the demons are not going
- 28:49to be there, evil is not going to be there.
- 28:52And then why would Jesus say that you need the Holy Spirit?
- 28:55He's the one who put his life down for us, who gave everything
- 29:00for us. So if it was only his death on
- 29:04the cross and us believing that he was the Son of God, then why
- 29:09would Jesus say that in order to enter the Kingdom of God, you
- 29:13must be born of the Spirit? And then the other thing is like
- 29:18when people get baptized, that doesn't necessarily mean they
- 29:22receive the Holy Spirit, but some of them received the Holy
- 29:27Spirit before they were baptized.
- 29:30Some received it at baptism and some received it after baptism.
- 29:35And there are of that found in Scripture in the book of Acts
- 29:39about the different times that people have.
- 29:41So I think God kind of he, he's looking at our hearts like where
- 29:46is our heart? Because we can, we can fool
- 29:48ourselves and say I'm going to go through this religious right
- 29:51and claim to be a believer, but has our heart really changed?
- 29:57Has our posture changed toward Christ?
- 30:00Do we? I think it's easier for people
- 30:03to say they believe in Jesus, but what is that response to
- 30:11what Jesus said? Jesus showed us the greatest
- 30:14love of all by laying his life on the down on the cross like he
- 30:18willingly did that for us. It wasn't he wasn't captured and
- 30:22hung on the cross against his will.
- 30:25He knew that was coming up and he did it so that he could be
- 30:30the the the final sacrifice that's required for us for
- 30:35purification. Because Hebrews tells us without
- 30:37the shedding of blood, there is no atonement for sin.
- 30:40And so that's why Jesus had to do it because he was is the Son
- 30:46of God that you know, no one else was purified.
- 30:50No one is good but God. Jesus is good because he is the
- 30:53Son of God. So that was why he was the only
- 30:56acceptable sacrifice and he had to say and all throughout the
- 30:59Bible it says I will save you. I will save you when the Lord is
- 31:02talking. So none of us can save
- 31:04ourselves. It's only through God.
- 31:06So anyway, going back, I know I kind of went off on a side
- 31:09topic, but I will go back to verse 13.
- 31:13I will bend Judah as I bend my bow and fill it with Ephraim.
- 31:17I will rouse your son Zion against your son's Greece and
- 31:22make you like a warrior's sword. Now this one, you have to go
- 31:27back to the Hebrew and I just think that Greece, we think of
- 31:33that. Like for me personally, I think
- 31:35about Greece and, and, and just I don't think that's really
- 31:42relevant because this is talking about the ancient times and the
- 31:47area is, I mean, this was a translation problem in my
- 31:52opinion. The actual Hebrew word is Yevon,
- 31:57YAVEN or JAVEN. And it referred to an area that
- 32:01that encompassed the Mediterranean cities like the
- 32:05the area, the land around the Mediterranean Sea.
- 32:09But it also a calm, it was part like Anatolia, which is modern
- 32:14day Turkey. And so when you hear Greece, you
- 32:16don't think about Turkey, or at least I don't.
- 32:19And, and I do think that this Turkey is very significant here.
- 32:24And so I will rouse your sons Zion or Israel against your sons
- 32:30Greece or Yevon or or Turkey. So pay attention to that.
- 32:34What if Turkey gets involved with everything that's going on
- 32:36today right now here? It says verse 14.
- 32:41Then the Lord will appear over them.
- 32:45His arrow will flash like lightning.
- 32:48The Sovereign Lord will sound the trumpet.
- 32:52He will March in the storms of the South, and the Lord Almighty
- 32:58will shield them. They will destroy and overcome
- 33:02with sling stones. They will drink and roar as with
- 33:07wine. They will be like a bowl used
- 33:11for sprinkling the corners of the altar.
- 33:15That is like a sacrifice. That's what they used to do.
- 33:17They used to take the blood of the sacrifice and sprinkle it
- 33:20all over the altar to purify it. And so it, you know, it seems
- 33:24like God is going to be with Zion, God is going to be with
- 33:27Israel. So anyone who says they aren't a
- 33:30Zionist, that means, are you saying if you say you're not a
- 33:34Zionist, does that mean that you reject the Bible?
- 33:38Because God talks about Zion all the time over here in the Bible.
- 33:44And if we say that, it's a little bit scary grounds like I
- 33:47don't want to be against God. So I think we should really pay
- 33:51attention to some of this rhetoric and get grounded in the
- 33:56word of God. The Lord their God will save his
- 34:00people on that day. So I think the day of the Lord,
- 34:04on that day the Lord their God will save his people as a
- 34:08shepherd saves his flock. Jesus is also called the
- 34:11shepherd, the Good Shepherd. They will sparkle in his land
- 34:16like jewels in a crown. How attractive and beautiful
- 34:20they will be. Grain will make the young men
- 34:23thrive and new wine the young women.
- 34:27And that's the end of Chapter 9. So this, if you look at anything
- 34:32that talks about the the second coming, there is lightning,
- 34:36there is Thunder, there's an earthquake.
- 34:38There's it's going to be a, you know, a very significant event
- 34:42that happens. And, and this clearly talks
- 34:47about Jesus and talks about the second coming and that Jesus
- 34:52will be with Zion when all of the enemies come against them.
- 34:56And, and apparently that's going to be Turkey.
- 34:59And then you look at Daniel's prophecy about the kings of the
- 35:02north and the South and the goat represents Turkey.
- 35:05Again, that's another translation, you know, challenge
- 35:09there because it says Greece, but it's, you know, really kind
- 35:12of part of Turkey in the ancient times.
- 35:15So and, and kind of right now, Turkey's not really happy with
- 35:20Iran because Iran has been shooting some missiles there.
- 35:25And at first they're like, OK, you did it once, but you got to
- 35:28stop it. So there's a little bit of
- 35:29tension there. And then there's the Kurds, who
- 35:33Turkey is not in agreement with and they are, you know, getting
- 35:38involved as well. So I think, you know, just see,
- 35:42you know, does the the north, the, you know, the north and the
- 35:47South kings that are talked about in Daniel?
- 35:49I don't know if it's Chapter 7 or 8.
- 35:51I can't remember what chapter it is.
- 35:53But do they represent Turkey and Iran?
- 35:59Perhaps they do, perhaps they don't, but it really seems like
- 36:05it they could when you read some of the description of what
- 36:08happens because it's like it the the goat or Turkey, you know, is
- 36:14the one who comes against Iran. And we'll just have to see how
- 36:21all of this unfolds. But certainly time to pay
- 36:25attention to what's happening in the Middle East.
- 36:27And most importantly, it's time today, if you haven't already,
- 36:32to reconcile with God and to to repent and, and to just do in
- 36:41your own words. I mean, God wants your, your
- 36:43heart. He doesn't.
- 36:44There's not like a formula or anything that goes along with
- 36:47it. But in your own words, talk to
- 36:49God and let him know where you are in life and that you want to
- 36:54be reconciled with him. If you are not, ask for his
- 36:58forgiveness and then turn away from it and ask Jesus for the
- 37:02Holy Spirit to help and to start to change your life because it
- 37:07will happen. So it's a very simple process.
- 37:11Jesus took care of the hardest thing that none of us could do,
- 37:15and it's available to all people.
- 37:17It doesn't matter what country you're in that this salvation
- 37:20through Jesus is available to everyone in the entire world.
- 37:25It's just a matter of whether you believe Jesus is the Son of
- 37:28God and that he died on the cross for us and you need to
- 37:32repent and receive the Holy Spirit.
- 37:34So that's the simple way to reconcile with God and to be
- 37:42able to be in the Kingdom of God in the future.
- 37:45So if you haven't done it already, I would do it now
- 37:48because war is very uncertain. I mean, that usually surprises
- 37:52people when there are deaths in a war.
- 37:56And you don't want to be taken by surprise, because if you
- 38:00haven't reconciled with God and your life is taken, that leaves
- 38:08your destination in question. I mean, God is the ultimate
- 38:12decider of what he does in that decision.
- 38:16But as far as what Scripture says, it doesn't sound very
- 38:19hopeful if you're against God and die in that manner.
- 38:23So I wouldn't risk it because eternity is forever and I don't
- 38:30think that's something you want to play around with Anyway.
- 38:33I'm going to wrap this up. If you aren't subscribed, please
- 38:37do so. If you found this beneficial,
- 38:38please share this with other people and try to stay in the
