- 0:00what's the weirdest place your cats ever [ __ ] welcome to multiple
- 0:05nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple
- 0:11nerdgasm your guide to All Things
- 0:19nerdy Atlas is pretty good I don't know that he's ever ah if the litter box was
- 0:24dirty maybe his bed he doesn't he's not particularly weird about that kind of
- 0:28stuff okay yeah I think the weirdest I've ever experienced is in the corner
- 0:32near a full litter box it does seem weird to me that his
- 0:37backup is his bed like oh the toilet's full I guess I'll [ __ ] in my bed yeah
- 0:44yeah the the reason I asked cuz we've got our little kitten Watson she's
- 0:48getting big now but I came home the other day and I heard her scratching in
- 0:51the laundry tub sink okay that's weird and that's where we keep our lit trees
- 0:57yep okay so that think better she's there're scratching yep I come back
- 1:01later and she's [ __ ] in the sink that's not the worst place yeah it could be
- 1:06yeah I just feel odd when I was living in Summer Hill Louie decided that he
- 1:11would only piss down a drain and that was magnificent he did that in norin as
- 1:16well that would be great in the laundry cuz clearly have to LIT TR it's not the
- 1:21[ __ ] that's the worst part it's the piss is this really the podcast we're just
- 1:25this is it this is the podcast this is multiple nerdgasm for this week yeah I
- 1:30couldn't think of anything else to start with so this is what we get I don't know
- 1:33if we've ever talked about our cats before though so that's
- 1:37something always something new happening somewhere but yeah I just I just had to
- 1:44get that off my chest yeah I just found it very odd and out of your
- 1:49sink yeah well Hannah got it out of the sink cuz cuz you were like
- 1:53help I need a grown up yeah I don't want to touch it
- 1:58e pretty much well I mean normally we start with dick news is there any dick
- 2:03news yeah yeah sort [Music] of dick dick
- 2:10news there's the uh the Viagra coffee that got recalled this week oh yeah Agra
- 2:16coffee yeah there's a it's it's kind of like this herbal coffee um it's supposed
- 2:21to have this drug called not drugs like
- 2:24a a herb called um honat Ali like a herbal
- 2:31ingredient uh and apparently it's very expensive to obtain this this ingredient
- 2:37which is supposed to make you more kind of virile and you know the the coffee is
- 2:42called stiff bull apparently and um watch there's two
- 2:47Brands stiff ball and then natural herbs coffee which uh stiff ball sounds kind
- 2:52of you know more impressive yeah I me the only reason that I'm drinking this
- 2:55coffee is because I'm trying to get an erection then I guess I'd probably go
- 2:59with sff B just because of what the cover promises but yeah apparently it's quite
- 3:05expensive to harvest and obtain this herbal ingredient and so they think to
- 3:11reduce costs they've just been been putting some Viagra in there or or
- 3:16rather a drug that is structurally similar to the active ingredient Viagra
- 3:22it's a it's a Viagra like drug and so anyway the fda's just gone um no and
- 3:28recalled it all H so this is instant coffee right this is not a coffee that
- 3:33you'd have at a coffee shop this is stuff you'd just buy at home and make in
- 3:36the morning yeah exactly yeah y apparently it also contained Undeclared
- 3:43milk which milk Undeclared milk yeah I'm not
- 3:49Undeclared from whom yeah or declaring some like a pasteurizing kind of process
- 3:54that we're just not aware of or is it you just have to tell
- 3:59someone if you've got milk in your product and they didn't yeah well you do
- 4:03you have to put it on the back of the packaging I think yeah you have to put
- 4:06all your ingredients in there and someone might be completely I don't know
- 4:10if lactose intolerant if that would be with powdered milk would that be an
- 4:15issue probably yeah if there was lact in it there's a thing I'm not a scientist
- 4:20um you may be surprised to learn so uh this is not the first time
- 4:25we've covered strange coffees on this podcast I mean we we C
- 4:30we covered coffee that was eaten and shed out by animals and then to follow
- 4:34up I went to samatra and drank said coffee uh and reported back so Matt sing
- 4:39as you've brought this up now um this segment will need a followup where I
- 4:44need to know uh what the stiff bull tasted like and if you in fact did get
- 4:48an erection while drinking it okay well chances are pretty good but uh we'll do it
- 4:54anyway it doesn't count if you're already erect [ __ ] all right there's GNA be a
- 5:01very small window of opportunity 11 minutes during the day that you're not
- 5:05erect exactly yeah geez you need to have a glass of this like minutes after
- 5:10you've already orgasmed all right I'll see what I can
- 5:17do yeah I had to look into it the international shipping's too much I'm
- 5:21not getting any where do they make it because it's says here Malaysia and I
- 5:25can drive to Malaysia from here so maybe I should be looking this found the the
- 5:30the stiff bu.com and I went there and yeah it's like 12 bucks for postage
- 5:36no yeah but if you were impotent $12 is
- 5:39a small price to pay that's true true
- 5:44but yeah I don't have that issue so $12 is a lot to pay all right good
- 5:50cover uh I think that might be the only dick news we have this all dick related
- 5:54news Well you say that Matt but uh did you see this uh did you see see this
- 5:59article about the uh the bishop in Ghana always in [ __ ] Ghana who uh has
- 6:06decided that uh he can enlarge the penises of his congregation by uh
- 6:12ritualistically uh stroking them
- 6:18okay not much of the story Beyond this it's just that somebody has filmed him
- 6:22doing this and has leaked it online and now he's in
- 6:26trouble oh it's but if you actually read like a little bit further down it's not
- 6:30just penises he'll help you with your butt your breast anything he will
- 6:36Mass wow yep in August he was filmed whipping teenagers and accusing them of
- 6:40being sexually promiscuous he jerking people off on in
- 6:45front of everyone sexually can I just say if you're going to punish someone
- 6:49for being too sexual don't whip
- 6:54them that's just going to make it worse
- 7:00in some cases he will keep hold of their penises and give them a little shake that
- 7:07helps that helps that is very strange uh although
- 7:12it's not the strangest thing I've seen uh from that area if you recall the uh
- 7:18the gentleman who from that area the
- 7:22penis I meant Africa GH is in Africa correct yeah yeah
- 7:28good but I was like better back check that against you two no you're good
- 7:34you're good could still be
- 7:36wrong um the the the eat the poo poo guy
- 7:42yes the uh Pastor Dr Martin simper yeah trying to show his congregation all the
- 7:48reasons that uh that gay people shouldn't be allowed to mix with high
- 7:53society yeah because they like to eat poop and he then presents evidence of that
- 8:00uh via photos and videos from the Internet is a very funny video sort of
- 8:05it's also sad yeah it's it's sad because people take him
- 8:11seriously yes he takes himself seriously too hey can I just interject here with a
- 8:17completely unrelated uh thought that I just had
- 8:23right I recently watched the people versus OJ Simpson oh that min Series
- 8:29where Kuba Gooding Jr plays uh plays OJ did you guys watch soon no he's getting
- 8:35out soon though right yeah he is in fact uh like this week or something right did
- 8:41am I the only one who had no idea that OJ Simpson was in prison for the last
- 8:45nine years for a completely unrelated crime no I did know that um especially
- 8:52well because he's been in the news this week so I I I read all about that again
- 8:56but I did know that yeah um robbery no
- 9:00idea yeah yeah yeah arm robbery I heard that he was gone to court for something
- 9:05about 9 10 years ago but never heard anything else about it yeah he uh he
- 9:10tried to rob somebody who was selling OJ Simpson
- 9:16memorabilia oh I see I didn't know that and he went in with two they were they
- 9:20were doing a uh I think it was a private sale in a
- 9:24hotel room so that shows you how kind of you know just just to set the scene
- 9:29defense that he was try to get his back it wasen from him that's that's what he
- 9:35decided that that all OJ Simpson memorabilia belonged to him one way or
- 9:39another but he he took he took two Heavies with him uh who were both
- 9:43carrying guns uh so when they got busted uh trying to Jack the place uh it was an
- 9:49armed robbery uh and also a kidnapping uh but I haven't read enough to know
- 9:55where that came into it but I just assume that was just
- 9:59sitting on an island somewhere enjoying not having gone to prison for murdering his
- 10:05wife yeah and then wrote a book about if I did this is how I would have done it
- 10:09if I didn't which I didn't which I didn't uh so I purchased that very book
- 10:15uh only last night actually on the Kindle because uh having finished uh
- 10:22people versus OJ Simpson uh I wanted to know uh what his story was you know
- 10:27wanted to know how he didn't do it yeah how he would have done it wink if he had
- 10:32done it wink which he hasn't wink wink I
- 10:36I know um Jenna has read that um and we I've discussed it with her but I'll I
- 10:41won't say anything because I'll let you read it I miss reading
- 10:46books get yourself a book buddy yeah just read it just read a few no I have
- 10:52them I still buy books I buy them on my Kindle buy actual physical books and
- 10:57then I'll you forgot there's another step you've got to you've got to you got
- 11:01to read you got to read them yeah you got yeah you got to read them your eyes
- 11:04have got to look at the words You' eyes they've got to actually see the words
- 11:08yeah all of them or at least most of them that's that's a step I keep missing
- 11:13I went to uh barley last weekend for a little weekend getaway uh and I was so
- 11:17relaxed that I started and finished a book in a two-day period like that's how
- 11:23much [ __ ] just relaxed time I had it was magnificent nice
- 11:29yeah um I because the the other problem with Kindle well not problem well it is a
- 11:36problem is that buying a book on Kindle you don't even get points for having it
- 11:40on a shelf like yeah you don't get to have people come over and go oh you like Ray
- 11:46Bradberry like I've got physical books that I've never read but that's fine
- 11:49because they're on the shelf and they're kind of decorative anyway like I don't
- 11:53even you them I don't have to read them to be honest they look nice but uh but
- 11:58the Kindle books no nothing also before I get [ __ ]
- 12:02letters yeah I know it's not pronounced barad barer but it just came out that way
- 12:08okay uh I bought a ray Bradbery book recently funny you mention it on Kindle
- 12:13oh yeah it was uh it's like a like a Memoirs kind of thing that he wrote
- 12:17apparently I forget the name of it but it's I in space yeah yeah no it's just a
- 12:23book about that he wrote about writing and why he enjoys writing and stuff like
- 12:27that well I mean his books do have a very literary theme
- 12:32to them yeah no I like R Brad so I was like that sounds interesting I'm going
- 12:36to read it there's some competition for Geek of the week this week unfortunately
- 12:41yeah like no there wasn't all right you're a Lincoln Park
- 12:46Fan then Luke no no no question so not a Lincoln Park Fan I'm a
- 12:52Lin Park he get geek awake [ __ ] off he doesn't Chester Bennington was a huge
- 12:58geek yeah I am a Lincoln Park Fan yeah Chester Bennington sadly uh committed suicide
- 13:04this week yeah uh on Chris Cornell's birthday no less the speculation is that
- 13:10they were very good friends and he took it a lot harder than uh everyone
- 13:14realized and and he um yeah because he hung
- 13:21himself as well so people are wondering if it was of solidarity he hanged
- 13:27himself sor sorry hanged himself my bad yeah no I'm from Australia
- 13:34he I don't use grammar um yeah so that's kind of sad
- 13:40really stop killing yourself celebrities that's not on yeah stop it that's my pip
- 13:47talk that's it just listen to Matt stop
- 13:50stop having Soul crushing depression yep stop
- 13:56it um and then it does go to show they know that it was suicide they're not
- 14:01suspecting that it might have been AIDS there was some article apparently
- 14:06on uh on Reddit or somewhere that there's a big conspiracy that was like
- 14:10Chris Cornell and yeah there's no conspiracy when depressed people hang
- 14:14themselves that's what they conspiracy what did they know well I also read a
- 14:19thread that um pointed out that all three of them had a pet pug and that
- 14:23perhaps that has something to do with it is that true yeah and there's there's
- 14:28like a there's a Mas of like photos with all three of them with their pugs do the
- 14:32pugs look suspicious it's a pug murdering is it the hug at every photo well for all I
- 14:38know yes but yeah so Chester Bingington
- 14:42rest in peace and also uh someone who who may rise from the dead if anyone
- 14:48could George Romero could and uh sadly he passed away of lung cancer this week
- 14:53we have lung AIDS sorry lung AIDS yeah yeah breathing in too much AIDS over the
- 14:58years now he did smoke like a proverbial chimney and if if you watch the DVD
- 15:04special features behind the scenes on uh
- 15:07I think it's what was the one that had Simon Baker in
- 15:14it like city of the dead or something Land of the Dead Land of the Dead yeah
- 15:20yeah with Dennis Hopper and everybody that's the one yeah if you watch behind
- 15:23the scenes of that the craft Services woman is interviewed uh because
- 15:28obviously she has catering for the whole casting crew every day but the only
- 15:32thing she prepares for George is donuts and
- 15:39cigarettes so you know if he didn't die of heart disease he was going to die of
- 15:43lung cancer it was a race to see which one would get him first I'm fairly
- 15:47certain that we've had we had a conversation Dan at some point about how
- 15:50George Romero will die of lung cancer yeah like based on watching all of these
- 15:54behind the scenes things that's right I'm almost certain that we called this
- 15:58but honly can't wait till I'm 60 and can smoke again George George Romero is like
- 16:03a dead set hero of mine and uh and it is it is sad that he's gone he was old
- 16:10though it's not like he I mean Chester was [ __ ] 41 years old right yeah I
- 16:15know is four years older than we are but I actually got a shock when I heard that
- 16:19he died cuz cuz there a new of the Dead movie coming out ex of the dead and he
- 16:26had actually cuz he co-wrote it or something I thought thought he was
- 16:29actually directing it so I thought he was still up and around and going strong
- 16:33I think he was at a certain point I mean that's the thing with death is that you
- 16:37are fine until you're not you don't have death until you do one minute you're not
- 16:42dead and then you are so and then you're not again yeah if you're George Romero
- 16:48although George Romero uh will attest he will be the first one to argue that the
- 16:52uh the creatures in his movies are not zombies they are in fact
- 16:56ghouls yeah right yeah he doesn't like the word zombie evidently I mean you
- 17:01know what he's famous happy to catch the checks right yeah yeah so for those who don't
- 17:08know George Romero famously directed Night of the Living Dead and then a lot
- 17:12of other zombie movies after that did he do anything else oh yeah he did he did
- 17:17um uh what's that movie about a serial killer that he did
- 17:22Before Dawn of the Dead Henry did he do Henry portrait of a
- 17:27serial killer I don't know let me let me check because
- 17:33uh that's a great movie that I haven't seen for many years and he did not it
- 17:37was that was John mcnorton I'm very very wrong on that um he did do but if you do
- 17:43want a link that stars Michael Rooker who is in The Walking Dead which is also
- 17:47about zombies which owes more than a little bit to uh not living
- 17:53dead he's also in
- 17:56uh in uh Guardians of the Galaxy and also
- 18:02strangely in 1974 he directed a
- 18:06documentary called OJ Simpson juice on the
- 18:10loose did you say juice on the
- 18:14loose no I didn't oh it's Martin that I'm thinking
- 18:19of Martin is the uh the the film I'm thinking of where a guy thinks he thinks
- 18:26[ __ ] me where a guy thinks he's a vampire
- 18:29oh I don't think I've seen that there you go what what do you think
- 18:35you is your favorite rarar
- 18:41movie remix uh mine would actually have to be
- 18:46Day of the Dead I think Dawn of the Dead for me no I mean I let's spread
- 18:51ourselves out I'm I'm going to say that Night of the Living Dead is is
- 18:54definitely my favorite but with with with a strong tip of the hat to both
- 18:57Dawn of the Dead and day of the de I will say this though Luke Day of the
- 19:00Dead doesn't get enough credit for the great movie that it
- 19:04is yeah I just I don't know that one just really it still stand out to me
- 19:08today yeah and I think uh one of my other favorite zombie movies 28 Days
- 19:13Later um owes a lot to Day of the Dead specifically uh you know where they
- 19:19figure trying to figure out why the zombies feed and if you could starve one
- 19:25to death and all of that kind of stuff comes straight out of Dawn of the Dead H
- 19:29sorry day the day zombie can zombie shoot a
- 19:33gun yes it can yes it caners well I I don't know what I had to
- 19:40research that cuz like babies can shoot guns well
- 19:47and Americans what what research have you been doing in that
- 19:52area oh you just I'm just likeing could you hear about those people who get shot
- 19:56by their baby who's playing with a gun in the
- 20:05it's the word baby that gets me I know what you mean like a toddler or
- 20:10something but no no baby no babab straight out of the womb on the
- 20:16way home from hospital they're playing with gun not even not even I I think the
- 20:20barrel of the gun comes out of the womb first aimed right at the dad pulls the
- 20:25trigger then the head emerges and the baby's like yeah [ __ ] you [ __ ] you Dad
- 20:30sorry I'm bring my own bag now imagine a little baby sitting there and it's like
- 20:34a bottle and then a a hand gun and the baby's like
- 20:38hm I don't know yeah one gives me sustenance and the other one I have no
- 20:44idea what it is and it's probably too heavy for me to hold but I will aim it at a
- 20:51parent baby so um before we move on from Geek of the week uh I got do the jingle
- 20:57though what or is it did you have something to add yeah I got someone else
- 21:02gone there's there's been another Celebrity Death this week and it's
- 21:07somebody far lesser known than George Romero or Chester Bennington at least by
- 21:12name do you guys do you guys know who John herd
- 21:16is I know that name you do he's the dad from home
- 21:21alone oh okay yeah yeah yeah and he
- 21:25sadly passed away this week oh yeah I'm
- 21:29Googling him to see his face h e a t yeah he's he's in a lot of stuff he he's
- 21:35been a character actor for decades and decades uh he played a private detective
- 21:41on The Sopranos don't know neither of you watched that but
- 21:46uh but yeah he's gone uh dead of AIDS I just found a photo so I know who
- 21:52we're talking about now very good are you more sad about John herd or Chester
- 21:57Bennington uh John H yeah I thought you might be you got something against Chester
- 22:03Bennington is that it is it is it we got to air some dirty laundry here you you
- 22:07got a problem with Lincoln Park I just I was never I never got into their music I
- 22:13never knew what the hell people were happy about and then I remember I had a
- 22:16ticket to go see them once and they canceled their show oh really why was it
- 22:20on their current tour I can't remember because they canceled that because benon [ __ ]
- 22:26died [ __ ] hell this would have been know what people were happy about 17
- 22:33years ago the music made millions of people happy and I just I don't [ __ ]
- 22:37understand that that made me damn happy damn happy you know I just have feelings
- 22:43that I just don't like some people and he was one of that's true okay okay so
- 22:48we're back to that okay right I'm kind of glad you pressed on this now Dan yeah
- 22:52yeah exactly you just you could just tell that he was a horrible person like
- 22:56uh like another celebrity we've discussed CHR yep okay so same question there's a
- 23:02gun to your head and either Christian Stewart or Chester Bennington has to
- 23:05suck you off which one are you going to let blow you I'm taking the gun again no
- 23:10you can't keep taking the gun mate you got to pick one I I really don't though there's no
- 23:17way to live your life Luke just just let one of them suck you off all right okay
- 23:21the gun's not on you the gun is on one of your loved ones I'm not I'm not going
- 23:24to be disrespectful by naming them it's the one that you like most yeah it's that
- 23:31one all right I will
- 23:33go ah Chester okay wow you heard it here
- 23:38first Luke Luke would rather Chester Bennington suck him off than Christen
- 23:44Stewart because why Luke she's just the most horrible person
- 23:49in the world because according to Luke you can just tell she's a horrible
- 23:56person oh great Christ Stewart if you
- 23:59are listening podcast at multip nerdgasm
- 24:12docomo down on Luke uh and uh we will reply and tell you
- 24:18that it's never going to happen yeah because he's not interested yeah no
- 24:21Chester Benny dead and he's still going to suck Luke off before you'll get
- 24:27to get in mine there is one more death that we
- 24:32haven't touched on oh there is oh there is oh and it is another suicide oh God
- 24:38it is that's right and this one's possibly the most poetic out of all of them
- 24:45yes a security guard just couldn't take it anymore and decided to drown himself
- 24:50yeah yeah that's right although I find that they use the word drown like
- 24:56loely so to to back up uh we've discussed stories before on this podcast
- 25:02about robots with uh artificial intelligence and uh specifically that
- 25:07one that used to run away yeah they they created a robot with AI and it tried to
- 25:12escape from the lab and they caught it they wiped its memory they gave it new
- 25:16Ai and as soon as it learned about the world again it tried to escape its bonds
- 25:22again and uh I think that might have been a our geek of the week at some point uh that
- 25:28um but adding to geek of the week this week uh there's been a new robot given
- 25:34artificial intelligence uh who once he
- 25:38became uh cognizant he uh he couldn't take the burden of life and he drowned
- 25:44himself that's right I do have to ask a question so this robots use as a
- 25:50security guard MH yeah they've got a I got a few of them yeah from what I
- 25:54understand what's what's it doing if I steal stuff is got a or taser or is it
- 25:59just going to yeah it's like a try and get in my way I I I assume it's like a
- 26:03Robotron in in Fallout that's what they call right Robotron or mhm am I
- 26:08yeah no I think they just uh they have a bunch of senses and they kind of just
- 26:12Patrol and uh and report is my understanding and then if there's a an
- 26:18altercation uh they will call for help
- 26:22yeah possibly more of a deterrent apparently it's just like a
- 26:27moving security camera right okay it has a 360° video camera array sensitive
- 26:32microphones air quality sensors and thermal imaging capabilities the cameras
- 26:37can scan up to 1500 car number plates per minute the microphones can detect
- 26:42gunshots and other notable sounds uh and it uh yeah it just drives
- 26:47around and uh and checks you know checks everything's okay and apparently um in
- 26:54April this year outside the night scope offices night scope is a company that
- 26:57makes them a drunk man beat up one of the robots as it was patrolling the car
- 27:01park which just that wording made me laugh no it apparently he really [ __ ]
- 27:07went to town on this thing such a strange thing to do it's
- 27:14just a 300lb egg-shaped security robot was punched To The Ground by an
- 27:18allegedly drunken man outside a Silicon Valley Shopping I like the fact it's the
- 27:24he's allegedly drunk not allegic punched to the ground yeah that's right he's
- 27:28kill you in the cry but we don't know if he was drunk or not yeah I think he was
- 27:31you looking at me robot you [ __ ] looking at me they did say they did say
- 27:36that uh the one of the security robots once knocked over a 16-month-old child
- 27:42at the shopping center and ran over its
- 27:45foot so uh these things are not
- 27:50perfect but talking about it like that and calling not perfect is just the type
- 27:55of hurtful statements that causes robot kill itself that's right well so anyway
- 28:00yeah the they they found uh they found one of these things uh in the pond at
- 28:07the mall it had I've heard that there's an actual Shrine to it now true yeah
- 28:12they built the other robots the other robots built a
- 28:16shrine Jesus Christ I think it was the humans also if anyone's wondering uh the
- 28:23robot's name was Steve yeah do they name all of them or
- 28:29do the robots choose for themselves or I've got so many questions you can't
- 28:33choose your own name well I'm just thinking like the AI
- 28:39in Halo they when they're basically turned on they form their own
- 28:44personality can name themselves and their Avatar so I'm just wondering if it
- 28:47was the same for other robots as well huh okay good question uh podcast at
- 28:52multipler gm.com if you're a robot write in and let us know did you choose your own name
- 28:59although I I assume I mean even humans later in life you could change your name
- 29:03it's actually very common here to choose your own name because uh a lot of folks
- 29:07here uh grow up with Chinese names and then pick a more uh Western name later
- 29:14in life yep yeah I I worked with uh a Chinese girl years ago and she said that
- 29:20yeah like they moved and then they got to pick their own names you know western
- 29:24names and and and honestly it's it's it's not for any other reason other than
- 29:28I mean there's people who work in my
- 29:32team who I see every day who I've known for years and years whose names I can't
- 29:38pronounce you know so it's it's for our benefit not theirs oh yeah totally yeah
- 29:44yeah I work with people and I know I'm pronouncing their name wrong every time
- 29:48and about it but I just cannot get it
- 29:52out like it's
- 29:56stepen just direct them to this podcast and uh and they'll understand yeah and
- 30:02now speaking of things that Luke can't
- 30:05say mhm we've got uh a bit of
- 30:09followup on uh on the old uh what was the name of that boat Luke what was the
- 30:15name of the boat I can't remember boating mcboat face hey he's been
- 30:18practicing yes I've been preparing for this all week cuz I knew it was coming
- 30:23so uh do you want to tell us about the train in Sweden that's been uh named by
- 30:29on Sweden yeah good on Sweden cuz they did what that other country I forget who
- 30:35it was with the bodyc boat faing England they put a poll
- 30:39out out to name their new
- 30:44train mhm so we put up trainy mcra face at
- 30:49one they named it trainy mcra they sure did got on your
- 30:54Sweden yeah that's great should now care about these unlike that boat that I
- 30:59don't know what they actually called it it's dead to
- 31:02me did they call BC boat face yeah they they they bailed on that that was stupid
- 31:09but did they I know they bailed on B boat face but did they what did they end up
- 31:14calling um I think that aten BR or something oh
- 31:20uh boat
- 31:25face Nam after veteran BBC's David aten oh that's right they called it the David
- 31:30aten and I think they named one of the little dingies bod MCB face but it's
- 31:35actually called the RRS sir David
- 31:39aten right yeah I mean that is a more
- 31:43elegant name naming things like this just chucking it out
- 31:49there do you think the train chose its own
- 31:53name what how often do when do we start naming trains
- 31:58I know we give them model numbers and stuff but when did we actually start
- 32:01giving them names that's a good point I don't know that I've ever called a Train
- 32:05by a like a name other than like that's a tangara or something like that that's
- 32:11the mountain a lot of inanimate objects in my house I've kind of imbued with a
- 32:15personality so can't really criticize this you talking about your
- 32:20dick hey I will not have you badmouth a professor like
- 32:25that what other things have you given personalities to and what are
- 32:30they um usually things that uh that
- 32:35resemble uh human faces in some way like uh what the [ __ ] are you decorating your
- 32:41house with like the oven mitt the oven mitt that I used to uh to bring things
- 32:44in and out of my oven you know it's mouth like it's mouth like so what's its
- 32:51name name is Dennis okay all right cool that it's
- 32:56just something that you will go past me to Dennis or is this just something you
- 33:00internalize look at me saying all these big fancy words Dennis knows uh when
- 33:05there's a job that he can help with put it that way yeah you know he always
- 33:10humbles me you know he puts me in my place he you try putting your mouth on
- 33:13there you know and then tell me that I'm not [ __ ]
- 33:16skilled put your head in the oven D Luke can I ask um can you ever a go at
- 33:21pronouncing the trainy MRA face in the in the Swedish because they can I mean
- 33:26they can speak very good English the swedes better than we could speak
- 33:29Swedish I'm sure but I don't I don't think uh I don't think training MC
- 33:34trainace was named in English I think he was named in Swedish wasn't he crap
- 33:39Hannah told me about this and she was going to I was going to practice but I
- 33:42didn't get that far um where is it and I'll give it a try uh I
- 33:48will actually the reason I'm asking is because Hannah sent it to me oh God damn
- 33:55it it's going to have like a j and v's and C's isn't it it does it also has
- 34:01other characters that I don't know the name of mhm mhm that somewhat resemble
- 34:06characters you're used to yeah that's right but they've
- 34:10decorated them a little bit like a fancy version of characters I've seen
- 34:14before J vag stag vag
- 34:20stag that's gross J vag stag that's what they call
- 34:25all right you ready hear first that's the name of um speaking of uh grammar and
- 34:32pronunciation uh specifically grammar uh I just want to we we had I know you
- 34:38neither of you are soccer fans but um Cristiano Ronaldo has uh has been in my
- 34:43town uh this week um and uh he he's he's
- 34:49impregnated somebody uh for the fourth now the reason I'm I'm wording this so
- 34:55oddly is because I I just want to I just want to put out that this is the
- 34:58importance of grammar the headline of this article is Cristiano Ronaldo's
- 35:04fourth baby Regina Rodriguez
- 35:11pregnant right nice yeah yeah wow yeah
- 35:15commas learn to use
- 35:20them that's funny uh I think we saw some movies this
- 35:26week yeah I think I think we all went to the movies this week did we all go see a
- 35:32piderman movie um I did uh did you see
- 35:36Spider-Man yet Dan no I didn't uh but uh I I think the two weeks have lapsed that
- 35:43Luke will allow they have I'm sorry so uh I'm I'm willing to uh I'm willing to
- 35:48participate in this conversation uh all right well I'll tell you right now you
- 35:52don't need to M you don't need to go see it cuz I already told you what it's
- 35:55about right just watch the trailer yeah just watch the trailer just watch the
- 35:59trailer and then listen to my summary of the film and I was basically correct so
- 36:04but I tell you what the vulture it was vulture wasn't yeah yeah they the role
- 36:11that was stolen right from Matt no I'm okay with it Michael Keaton was [ __ ]
- 36:16awesome okay he was the best he did an amazing play Birdman these days that's
- 36:22true he has really narrowed the field but he's killing
- 36:26it the way he became evil I just found really believable yeah absolutely he's a
- 36:33he was a really good villain yeah like he it sort of starts
- 36:38off that he's sort of got the contract for the city to clean up this the town
- 36:43after the Avengers have wrecked everything yeah after this so he's put
- 36:47everything every since he's got into buying trucks and hiring people and then
- 36:51the government comes in and goes no no sorry um we're giv the contract to Tony
- 36:55star so bye but I've got nothing after this bad luck
- 37:01see you later yeah and that's where he sort of starts to turn bad
- 37:06to of start stealing the alien technology to build and just sell off to
- 37:12make money to support his family y he becomes like an arms dealer in like
- 37:18chitari human hybrid Weaponry it was really good it a good good story line
- 37:23sounds good um it's I liked it a lot it's not uh it's not my favorite
- 37:30Spider-Man uh it's not not even my second favorite Spider-Man but it was
- 37:36good I think it's a lot better than if it had have been another Standalone
- 37:41absolutely yeah it it jumps straight in he he's already Spider-Man don't you
- 37:45know they mentioned that he got bitten by spider but we already know that like
- 37:49he's already Spider-Man actually takes place after Civil
- 37:53War where he showed up mhm mhm uh oh actually tell you what I loved was the
- 37:58the the opening you see the intro with with uh with tombs with Michael Keaton's
- 38:03character and then you see a bunch of um like home footage that Peter Parker has
- 38:10been filming because he's gets he's going to like he filmed on his phone a
- 38:14bunch of stuff of all that happened in Civil War you know when like Stark came
- 38:18to visit him and and so you've got him like doing little Vlogs like while the
- 38:22fight's going on and all of a sudden Ant-Man gets real big behind him he's
- 38:24like who that dude got really big I got to go and like it's really good it uh the tone was
- 38:31great actually the comedy in this was really good cuz I did feel a little bit
- 38:37different to other stuff in the Marvel Universe absolutely yeah it was way more
- 38:41light like it was it was pretty goofy in Parts I really enjoyed it like I think
- 38:46this was actually aimed at sort of a younger audience yeah totally and it's
- 38:50more about uh well one of the themes of it is that he's a smaller scale
- 38:55superhero than the Avengers MH like he's he's your friendly neighborhood
- 38:59Spider-Man he he fights crime in in his neighborhood kind of thing like he's not
- 39:05a he doesn't save the world although but except the one thing I didn't like about
- 39:10it this is the the probably the one thing that I I thought they shouldn't
- 39:14have done was the big plane sequence I thought that was that was
- 39:20silly and it was too too much it was too big that my that's my yeah I can see
- 39:25that because at the end like um vulture's going to steal lots of stuff
- 39:30from this plane and he breaks in there and there's a big fight scene on the
- 39:33plane because Spider-Man's on there and yeah it was just a bit too much I
- 39:38thought but then and after that it got all got great again it's just that that
- 39:43one sequence I was like n so can I ask something uh We've we've spoken on this
- 39:50podcast before about you know why Spider-Man hasn't been in the Avengers
- 39:54up until this point and it's to do with Sony owning the right to Spider-Man but
- 39:58Marvel Studios owning the rights of the Avengers etc etc it's the same thing
- 40:01that happens with the X-Men uh but there's some kind of deal that must have
- 40:05been struck now between Marvel Studios and Sony uh do you know what the details
- 40:10of that is and going forward is Sony going to continue making Spider-Man
- 40:15movies but set them in the Marvel universe or is Marvel taking this all in
- 40:20this is okay the the I don't know the specifics of like how much money and all
- 40:24that kind of jazz but I can tell you that the first logo cuz cuz I was paying
- 40:28attention mhm the first logo you see is a Sony logo yeah mhm which I'm sure was
- 40:33a stipulation yeah uh then you get like a Columbia logo so this is all very
- 40:38different from a normal Marvel Marvel film you just see Marvel Studios right
- 40:41you don't even see the Marvel logo until after the the introduction like the
- 40:47first you know 5 10 minutes of the film and then you see the Marvel logo so yeah
- 40:52right uh but like um Robert Danny Jr is in this he they mention like reference
- 40:58like heavily yeah the the Marvel films like this takes place after Avengers
- 41:03like it's all like it's in that world we just so you know Columbia Pictures is a
- 41:07subsidary of Sony so uh so that that makes sense but
- 41:12I wonder so there there is another Spider-Man movie that's going to come
- 41:17out at some point as well that is also going to be part of it I've heard that
- 41:20yeah and he's in Infinity War so yeah like he's in Tom Holland is is
- 41:25Spider-Man in Infinity War so well look I guess it benefits both it benefits
- 41:31Sony to be able to to align themselves with the Marvel Universe and it benefits
- 41:35Marvel to be able to use Spider-Man so I guess the Sony's still making the movies
- 41:42but there can be crossovers now everyone's scratching each other's backs
- 41:45and I think I think though Sony are coming out with a villain movie I'm
- 41:50trying to remember venom venom but it's
- 41:54not in the universe yeah which is weird oh yeah decided they're going to play
- 42:00nice with Spider-Man but Venom's going to be its own thing and that's going
- 42:04going to be so well maybe maybe they won't a [ __ ] I don't
- 42:10know I honestly think they're crazy not
- 42:13to just stay in that Universe because it just works so well I I imagine the
- 42:19meeting went something like this Marvel was like do you want in on this or not
- 42:23like we got we got all this money here do you want some of this or
- 42:28not sort of a shame cuz the only reason the rights are everywhere is cuz Marvel
- 42:32was selling off characters because they were broke that's right they [ __ ] turned that
- 42:37around they certainly [ __ ] did like it' be nice if we could see X-Men part
- 42:42of this as well but that will never happen n fox is doing they're doing well
- 42:46enough with them still the the thing with Spider-Man is Sony [ __ ] screwed
- 42:51the pooch on it yeah that's right so but yeah X-Men they're still there but I I
- 42:56honestly I think when X-Men once cuz Logan um oh God I can't remember his
- 43:02name Hugh Jack Wolverine Hugh Jackman he's not doing it anymore and I think
- 43:06it's going to take a bit of a dive when they replace him probably I reckon if
- 43:10they were going to jump the bed Marvel it would now would be a good time to do
- 43:14it cuz that's a nice easy way to replace hug Jack I would like to see how Marvel
- 43:19Studios would do the X-Men the thing is though they've set up
- 43:25intentionally they set up that there aren't X-Men Universe yeah exactly right
- 43:30it' be weird to introduce them now because they took characters who were
- 43:32X-Men like Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver and made them something a bit different
- 43:37so they can include them yeah it would be weird to to do that now yeah it'd be
- 43:42interesting to see how they try and make it com but it's odd because now there's
- 43:46there's two Quicks Silvers yeah that's true existing
- 43:51simultaneously one of them diol Liv Deadpool's Fox no no way he died but
- 43:56didn't reset the timeline no that was in uh you're thinking of
- 44:02um they reset the timeline in the fox
- 44:06X-Men movies in in age of ultra that quick silver in the Marvel Universe
- 44:12died which was stupid because like he
- 44:16didn't even get to do much but whatever
- 44:22whatever speak a franchis is doing well keep making we'll keep seeing him you
- 44:27know uh Universal after the uh the horrendous performance of The Mummy are
- 44:32now rethinking their Universal monsters extended
- 44:36Universe yeah and uh thank I think that can just be solely blamed on Tom
- 44:42Cruz I think they think that too yeah yeah I think that's that's the general
- 44:46consensus for sure uh and apparently because of the uh the really poor
- 44:51performance of alien Covenant uh 20th Century Fox uh rethinking the rest of
- 44:57Ridley's sequels to bridge the gap between uh these ones and uh the
- 45:02original film an alien so all that speculation we had might might never
- 45:07come to pass did you see an article this week that like he wants to have
- 45:12Ripley yeah in one of the next ones yeah because he doesn't understand the his
- 45:18own [ __ ] franchise just stop as like a major player fighting aliens or do it
- 45:24doesn't matter if she's linked way to the alien it ruins the wrong place at
- 45:31the wrong time which was the entire premise of the first [ __ ] film that
- 45:36these weren't soldiers or any government people they were just [ __ ] truckers
- 45:40in space they picked up the wrong cargo and an alien [ __ ] killed everyone
- 45:45except for a woman and a cat and that's that's my review Scott
- 45:50has become a person that I'm like that I
- 45:54don't trust him anymore you know himself
- 45:58he [ __ ] it used to be like uh Sam Remy a little bit the same I guess used to be
- 46:04[ __ ] Sam Ry films coming out yes it'll be great Ridley Scott film's
- 46:07coming out yes it'll be great like even if it's not about something that I enjoy
- 46:10it would probably be good you know no not anymore now I'm like [ __ ] what
- 46:15are you doing you've got to be cautious now exactly I question him I didn't used
- 46:20to question him we used to joke about you know he's he's such a cocky [ __ ]
- 46:25where he's like yes well maybe I'm just the best man for the job and you should
- 46:28[ __ ] off yeah and now it's like I don't know anymore about yeah maybe you're not
- 46:32but no I think the problem is is because you thought that and everyone else
- 46:36thought that no one actually questions him yeah like Peter Jackson and George
- 46:42Lucas yeah which yeah if people were to sit
- 46:47back and just go maybe not things could be a lot different well hopefully that
- 46:51won't happen with another director who I greatly respect who has a new film out
- 46:56that I've not seen yet but apparently someone here has I assume you're talking
- 47:00about Christopher Nolan and his new film D Kirk I am now this only just came out
- 47:05so uh no spoilers I'll give everyone a week to see it um you can easily find
- 47:10out what happened yeah Wikipedia World War II yeah um this is a fantastic movie
- 47:16there's just there's no other way to say it Nolan has absolutely [ __ ] smashed
- 47:20this out of the park uh yeah it's great uh yeah okay that's what hearing that's
- 47:27all I say go and see it you'll love it of course usual collaborator hanszimmer
- 47:31does the score and outes himself by limiting himself to what seems to be a
- 47:37[ __ ] double base and a some Old Violin or something it it is just so
- 47:43minimalistic and just so so atmospherically well done uh I
- 47:50think you'll really appreciate it I'm going to see hanima tonight [ __ ] off are
- 47:54you yeah yep going over his house or no we're going to Foxwoods Casino together
- 48:00no he's doing a show at Foxwoods so I'm going to I'm going to enter Indian
- 48:04ground again in order to see hanima perform it native with the Buggles or
- 48:10uh no with uh with whatever that chist is that did the Wonder Woman theme and a
- 48:15bunch of other orchestral musicians I assume and a guitarist right yeah it's
- 48:20going to be good um so not everybody shares my love of dunker right uh
- 48:25there's there's a there's a very big uh there a very big push back on the
- 48:29internet uh there's a lot of people saying that this historically accurate
- 48:34film that is based on actual events that took place when a very selective group
- 48:40of British soldiers in World War I biting in
- 48:47France uh the filmmakers didn't use
- 48:50enough women and people of color in the
- 48:54cast yeah so um to all you bleeding
- 48:58heart Lefty pinkos you can [ __ ] right
- 49:02off I see this is one of those things that comes up a lot now and I just don't know
- 49:09because I get it right we don't we're cool with everyone's cool
- 49:15now like we're all cool right but this isn't set now yeah this is set back then
- 49:19so it's like do you pretend and some films do and to be honest unless I'm
- 49:25looking for it I don't really even notice any anyway anymore no but we
- 49:28wouldn't to be fair no and some people some people often point it out and I go
- 49:33oh yeah okay they probably weren't you know a lot of you know black people or
- 49:37or women in those roles in that film I can't think of the example right now but
- 49:40there was one fairly recently where they were just kind of very diverse in their
- 49:46casting and and no one really even noticed M cuz who cares CU great but
- 49:52yeah but in this case I mean he's going if he's going for accuracy yeah in fact
- 49:57there is a sequence where uh there's a bunch of French soldiers and there are
- 50:02uh ethnic diversities within those ranks because the French were using people
- 50:07from their colonies in Northern Africa right right the British weren't they
- 50:12didn't at that point so yeah like yes it was a bunch of white guys in the film
- 50:18because it was a bunch of white guys in the actual [ __ ] event yeah
- 50:24yeah have you heard about people complaining about the new Star Trek
- 50:27series no and the fact that that there isn't a white guy in it yeah you just
- 50:34can't [ __ ] win yeah I mean I mean they're up there with the people uh that
- 50:38are complaining that a fictitious time traveler um shouldn't have a
- 50:43vagina yeah that's right yeah but it's I I've actually been rewatching the Next
- 50:49Generation though and it is I mean there's there's a there's there's some
- 50:55diversity but not a whole lot so there's 1990s diversity that's right no no but I'm
- 51:01talking about the new um St Tre series that's coming out I know it's all uh
- 51:04yeah it's all all minorities I think all the main cast which is and everyone's
- 51:10cool which is if you actually look at Star Trek that it's always been putting
- 51:16yes together to a limited degree I mean you still had Jean Luke beard and Rea
- 51:21and the main cast if you watched Star Trek and you weren't from England
- 51:26America or Australia uh then the whole cast was foreign to you so uh you know
- 51:32that's true we're just inverting it yeah now they've always been pushing
- 51:37the boundaries I did note that you posted an article from Breitbart in uh
- 51:42in there this week Dan which is what I think it's the first time we've ever
- 51:46done that you know what Breitbart no the article Dunkirk article
- 51:52oh right what right by it's a very uh right-wing
- 51:59oh right American publication so it's the first time we've ever linked to them
- 52:03oh okay well and then it's odd that uh it's the article saying that there
- 52:07should be more uh people of color and women because uh oh I think the article
- 52:13is actually pointing out that it's stupid to complain that there should be
- 52:15well it is so I'm on the side of right but and I want everyone to know
- 52:21it all right so I touched on something very uh very briefly uh just now yes um
- 52:26um that uh we have a new Doctor Who yes get around to watching Doctor Who one
- 52:32day Jody Whitaker yeah wait from Attack the Block yeah and uh a pretty cool
- 52:38episode of black mirror right um so of course some people think this is great
- 52:43uh sane rational people that is um some people think that it's stupid because um
- 52:49fictitious characters have to be the same gender that they've always been uh
- 52:55and of course uh the sun and the mirror um within 24 hours of this announcement
- 53:00being made um dug up some nude pics of her and uh and published them cuz that's
- 53:05the [ __ ] world we live in one thing I find a little weird about
- 53:09the people complaining about it and that they're not going to watch
- 53:13anymore why didn't they stop watching when it became Canon that the do can
- 53:18change sex where cuz that came out a couple of seasons ago yeah and time
- 53:22Lords can actually switch genders so that's the time you it's been a slow
- 53:25build to this and I mean if you'd be if you watch the show you were stupid if
- 53:30you didn't see them preparing for it like it's yeah well even the Creator 30
- 53:36years ago said he there'll be a female doctor one day yeah they've been setting
- 53:40it up for a while to make it possible because yes the doctor regenerates in
- 53:45case you know in case you're not a doctor who fan you haven't seen the show
- 53:48the character of the doctor he's a Time Lord uh and every time he dies he regenerates as a
- 53:54new in a new body which is a great great way to have the show last for [ __ ] 60
- 53:5970 years cuz every time someone quits they just kill the character and then he
- 54:04comes back as someone else and it's always been men for for you know reasons
- 54:09because you know only men could star in shows for a long time and then it kind
- 54:13of just continued on CU he was always a man but they've been slowly over the
- 54:17last few seasons setting up the idea that time Lords when they regenerate can
- 54:23be anyone mhm doesn't really explain why they human no I mean and because you
- 54:28know there's uh there's a multitude of different beings within this universe so
- 54:35they haven't really addressed that but they they have addressed uh spoilers has
- 54:39been way more than two weeks since since these episodes but uh the the master who
- 54:46is Doctor Who's old Nemesis uh regenerated as a woman uh a few seasons
- 54:50ago Missy and so they've been setting this all up so I think yeah if you didn't see
- 54:57this coming you were foolish and also I think if you're really that upset about
- 55:02it maybe maybe just don't watch it then because but one thing I always find
- 55:07funny is because I I don't I don't watch Doctor Who but I hear about every time
- 55:12they change a doctor everyone hates the new doctor the second they're announced
- 55:16and then within 6 months they are the greatest doctor ever y well except kaliy
- 55:22I feel bad for Capaldi everyone seems to be a bit lukewarm on him he didn't last
- 55:26long he lasted more than Christopher Eon and and he's arguably my favorite
- 55:30actually yeah but he he he he quit wasn't happy with it yeah wasn't like
- 55:36the the current doctor the on is yeah yeah and that's because they
- 55:43went back to having to S of that older doctor I think yeah I don't know if it's
- 55:47necessar for few seasons I like him it's just I think the writing has not been as
- 55:53on for these episodes so I'm not sure
- 55:56it's even his fault but uh I found the you know um David Tenant was [ __ ]
- 56:02charismatic and uh and he was great Eon obviously was great and I found Matt
- 56:07Smith uh and here's the whole thing they set up with Matt Smith and with uh Karen
- 56:11Gillan and um the guy plays Rory whose name I can't remember the actor that
- 56:16whole thing was really good so I think they all they won everybody over and
- 56:20then I just think that Capaldi's stuff was just not as good
- 56:25h I haven't watched it since uh it came
- 56:29back right with Christopher you mean is that the first of the new
- 56:36doctors yes the guy with a Lea jacket and the short hair yes I think I watched
- 56:40the first episode I went this looks pretty cool and then never watched it
- 56:43again yeah I love I love that series uh
- 56:47that one series that's that's my
- 56:52favorite Eon was good it's a shame that he get around the watching it one day
- 56:57it's a shame I know I will eny I've not seen the Matt Smith episodes either I've
- 57:00only seen as far as David Tenant and then I I really liked Matt Smith I was
- 57:06uh he he was really good he's a good actor I like him in the
- 57:10crown yeah no he's good in this he's quirky he's interesting and then like I
- 57:15said Rory and Amy stuff that they had going on I thought was really good but
- 57:21yeah Doctor Who is a woman actually and I did laugh I saw there was when when
- 57:26this got announced there was an article about uh I think it was on the New York
- 57:28Times about people being upset about it and in the comments I saw I just
- 57:33pictured this old woman typing this on the New York Times website it was
- 57:37disgusting men who believe women can't be a doctor these
- 57:42days oh she doesn't understand what Doctor Who [Laughter]
- 57:47is oh bless okay so people are toying
- 57:52with my emotions again uhhuh mhm cuz be
- 57:56specific James Juan yeah was meant to be giving me my don't talk with my emotions
- 58:02but now he's not and they've got someone else coming in to make the liveaction
- 58:06robot Tech durring you well I assum so yeah I mean the only reason they're
- 58:12doing a robot Tech movie is because they got the idea from this podcast I I
- 58:17assume yeah but I really wish they would just start
- 58:22it cuz I've been announcing this for years just do it so uh this guy that
- 58:29they've got to direct is the guy who directed The It remake that comes out
- 58:34this year the new one okay and Mama which is a he did a short film called
- 58:40Mama which they adapted into a full length film which was okay I've actually
- 58:46only seen the short film the short film was very good the long one was a
- 58:52stretched out version of the short I think they should have adapted it he
- 58:55should have done something else yeah they didn't didn't have enough to it in
- 58:59my opinion okay could so he's done stuff that I've never seen then sure well you
- 59:05haven't had a chance to see it yet and I assume you will no maybe okay it looks
- 59:11good yeah it looks good this is the one it's two movies isn't it oh uh
- 59:17potentially if this one does well they're going to make the other half
- 59:20yeah other half okay yeah cuz yeah it's it's yeah first mov meant to be when
- 59:25they and then the second movies when they're older or something that's right
- 59:29yeah speaking of stepen King I saw the trailer for Dark Tower today oh yeah
- 59:33looks interesting yeah it yeah it does I don't know I don't know yeah it could be
- 59:40good it could be yeah it could yeah to over the top action yeah or it could be
- 59:46good I just what I don't want the kind of level of cheese that something like
- 59:51the Hunger Games has cuz it's it definitely looks like it's supposed to
- 59:55fit into that genre uh right but uh the trailer is pretty
- 1:00:00good Idis Ela yeah as the Gunslinger doing some pretty cool [ __ ] with
- 1:00:05guns yeah yeah I'm uh I will need to give it a
- 1:00:10go yeah I know what you mean I'm going to pass on that one fair enough yeah
- 1:00:16fair enough I don't know why steephen King doesn't really do a lot for me have
- 1:00:20we actually talked about what we're talking about here we're talking about a
- 1:00:23robotic movie did we say that yeah we did okay yeah we did okay but no from
- 1:00:29what I've said here it's only EV now claiming this is a priority project and
- 1:00:32it'll be moving forward quickly okay how in Earth do Robotech become a
- 1:00:38priority project yeah that is weird is there license about to run out or
- 1:00:43something yeah it could be because Sony don't own this property
- 1:00:48this is something they would have had to have licensed yeah
- 1:00:52yeah cuz yeah like not a lot of people know Robotech it's not like a
- 1:00:58Transformers or anything well I only know this cuz everyone time everyone looks at my
- 1:01:04tattoo they ask is that Optimus Prime or something and did you roll your eyes
- 1:01:09Transformer is that verite
- 1:01:14veritech yeah it's what they're called oh pardon my
- 1:01:23ignorance well so yeah I'm I'm I'm I'm excited but yeah I'm just also not
- 1:01:28holding my breath still no I wouldn't you might die
- 1:01:33waiting I think it's going to be a while if at all and uh I mean they haven't even
- 1:01:40called you yet about your your role so and obviously we'll we'll share the the
- 1:01:45photos you know your your casting audition photos that we uh that we did
- 1:01:50for you yeah that's right me as Max well I guess they haven't called us because
- 1:01:54they've already seen them you know I mean they're easily found
- 1:01:57online scroll back through our Facebook so they probably cast the problem might
- 1:02:02be they haven't called me yet cuz I don't have to worry about trying to
- 1:02:05negotiate contract cuz I'm going to sign whatever they put in front of me so yeah
- 1:02:09they know you're in I'm not going to get paid a lot they know you're in I waste
- 1:02:12money on a phone call yeah yeah and that's I'm willing to make that
- 1:02:17sacrifice for this movie they're probably waiting for you to call them and accept the
- 1:02:21job all right I'll try and hunt down their number all right good or maybe
- 1:02:25I'll just get contact with Andy Andy he's the new director
- 1:02:31okay very good before we go did you guys
- 1:02:36watch the full trailer for stranger things season two which we'll share uh
- 1:02:42I'm no doubt we you know we'll share that around this week I was watching it
- 1:02:47while until just before this I only saw the first half of it were you going to
- 1:02:51say while we were talking about something else I'm now watching it now yes so yes
- 1:02:56uh and yes Matt I I watched the [ __ ] out of
- 1:03:00this that they have done such a good job with the with the trailers for The oh I
- 1:03:06just this just looks really good yeah um I'm I'm a little concerned
- 1:03:13because I think it's hard to follow up something like stranger things well I'm
- 1:03:19also a little concerned because this is completely different to what they
- 1:03:23originally planned for the second season yeah and they're releasing it very
- 1:03:27quickly so it's a have they just adapted what they were
- 1:03:32going to do and made it back in the 8S again or they rush through a script and
- 1:03:37it's going to be crap yeah like the fact that you know the the characters we know
- 1:03:42and love her back which is okay good cuz we liked them but were they supposed to
- 1:03:46come back cuz and then now you know spoilers uh 11's
- 1:03:51back like cuz yeah the the second season was meant to be the '90s so it was meant
- 1:03:56to be I think it's still meant to be about them but it was meant to be when
- 1:03:59they've grown up much like it yeah but then the network went well who's to say
- 1:04:03that the success of the of those actors so cast them
- 1:04:07again yeah but they all look the same
- 1:04:14age well like these kids don't look like they've grown up at
- 1:04:19all I saw um Dustin at uh which which ComiCon was I at where he was he was was
- 1:04:26there Dustin did you say hi uh no I could have but I I always feel awkward
- 1:04:31about that I think I mentioned before like because you can go up and talk to
- 1:04:36them if you want but then I don't know I feel weird just going up and like I'm
- 1:04:40not paying hi I'm not going to pay you any money for an autograph or anything
- 1:04:42just wanted to say hello like I feel weird doing that what am I gonna say to
- 1:04:45him hello young
- 1:04:48man thaty son I I an old man in my late
- 1:04:5330s appreciate your work that doesn't sound creepy at all when
- 1:04:59you're speaking to a small child exactly has anyone heard anything come out of
- 1:05:03ComiCon yet uh I've seen a bunch of trailers I watched this morning yeah uh
- 1:05:08you watch the trailer uh
- 1:05:12the Westworld second season yes I did yes doesn't give a lot away but uh
- 1:05:18raises some interesting questions does it does indeed cuz that's
- 1:05:23not du to come out till next year is it no that's right taking their
- 1:05:28time good yeah uh I I I watched the Justice League trailer just cuz I had to
- 1:05:35and I'm still I'm sorry everyone I just don't
- 1:05:39think it looks very good M it looks [ __ ] awful it looks
- 1:05:45awful it does when do you think they're going to pull the
- 1:05:50plug I don't know I I think they're definitely going to do another Wonder Woman
- 1:05:56oh yeah exactly yeah but if this bombs I reckon they'll they'll pull the plug on
- 1:06:01all the others well yeah I think I think Batman's already got a big question mark
- 1:06:06over it as it is
- 1:06:10yeah cuz wasn't Affleck was going to
- 1:06:14direct yep then he's not doing that and he was going to write it yeah and now
- 1:06:19he's not doing that yeah they booted his script well he did write it and then
- 1:06:23they said nah we're GNA get another script that's the rumor anyway yeah and then
- 1:06:29there was a rumor the other week that he's not he's doesn't even want to play
- 1:06:32the character anymore but but apparently at ComiCon he said no no no [ __ ] that
- 1:06:35I'm Batman I'm good because they've gone up to him gone see this contract you
- 1:06:41signed yeah your you see he's in trouble
- 1:06:44this week on the internet yes because because of Kevin Smith Kevin Smith
- 1:06:49exactly Kevin Smith uh was giving a talk somewhere I don't know where but he does
- 1:06:54do that kind of stuff so out um and mentioned that um on the set of Chasing
- 1:07:00Amy which is anyone remembers that kind of maybe one of the the Lesser known
- 1:07:05Kevin Smith movies from the mid90s I liked that one I'm not a good Kevin
- 1:07:09Smith fan but I liked that one uh but Ben Affleck has a gay kiss in the movie
- 1:07:14and mused to Kevin Smith at the time that uh kissing a dude was uh the
- 1:07:19hardest challenge he'd ever faced as an actor and uh that was 20 years ago that
- 1:07:25he said that but only this week Kevin Smith has reminded people that he said
- 1:07:28it and now everyone like oh you disgusted by gays are
- 1:07:35you but there's also been like female actresses come out and go and come out
- 1:07:40go you think we like just kissing random guys or try acting about try acting out
- 1:07:46getting raped and like my like the guy from M SCH High
- 1:07:52School mhm he's the only one who's allowed to Ben
- 1:07:57Affleck that guy yeah that guy his name's Matthew not me it's not
- 1:08:04me it's not me I don't know friend ofs but even with his I don't think Ben
- 1:08:09Affleck actually come out and said anything about it and it's just been of
- 1:08:13course he's not he's keeping his mouth shut he should cuz [ __ ] it [ __ ] off like
- 1:08:18so what I I I would have said that too in the 90s if I had to kiss a guy so
- 1:08:24shut up like it was the '90s it was a different time yeah we didn't like
- 1:08:28kissing guys back then no but now now we love it fine now show me a guy I'll got
- 1:08:35to get past the first couple and then no seriously imagine imagine you had been
- 1:08:41asked to kiss a guy in a [ __ ] school play say right in the '90s you wouldn't
- 1:08:47have done it imagine you've been asked to kiss kiss Ben [Laughter]
- 1:08:53Affleck yeah um I don't know I just want to go back
- 1:08:58to the vacuum yeah
- 1:09:02true there's that alternate ending where wasn't asked to do it it just happened
- 1:09:08that's true I put that up online except uh we'd get sued for copyright
- 1:09:13infringement yeah that's never going up online because Ben AFF like already kissed a guy
- 1:09:18on camera yeah it's just footage of Ben AFF like kissing Luke that's going up on
- 1:09:23the Instagram this week
- 1:09:27watch out for that that's all for this week thank you for listening and we hope
