- 0:01In his lectures on Raja yoga, Swami Vivekananda point out.
- 0:05Clearly. The chasing after Powers were
- 0:08cities as they're called, is not the aim of the yoga and can be a
- 0:13distraction from the primary goal.
- 0:17They may come but should not be sought after or made a primary
- 0:22determinant of the yogic process nor set has a goal of any sort.
- 0:28Similarly, SRI aurobindo has emphasized that the eventual
- 0:31super mental transformation while it will clearly have
- 0:36impacts on the physical body does not have as its goal, the
- 0:41conquest of death or the seeking for immortality of the body.
- 0:45In fact, he goes on to state that such a step would be at the
- 0:50tail end of a long process. Not something immediate that the
- 0:54Seeker could or might expect as a Out of the yogic practice.
- 1:00In order to achieve this, not only the mind has to be
- 1:04illumined and the vital force. Enhanced at the very cells of
- 1:09the body would need to become conscious responsive and capable
- 1:13of adaptation far beyond where they are in today's world.
- 1:19SRI aurobindo writes quote death is there because the being in
- 1:24the body is not yet developed enough to go on growing in the
- 1:28same body without the need of change.
- 1:32And the body itself is not sufficiently conscious.
- 1:35If the mind and vital and the body itself were more conscious
- 1:39and plastic death would not be necessary.
- 1:43As for conquest of death, it is only one of the sequel.
- 1:47I of super mental ization and I am not aware that I have
- 1:51Forsworn My Views about the super mental descent, but I
- 1:56never said or thought that the super mental descent would
- 2:00automatically make everybody immortal.
- 2:03The super mental can only make the best conditions for anybody
- 2:07who can open up to it, then, or there after attaining to the
- 2:12super mental Consciousness and its consequences, but it could
- 2:16not dispense with the necessity of sadhna.
- 2:20If it did, The Logical consequence would be that the
- 2:24whole earth, men, dogs and worms would suddenly wake up to find
- 2:29themselves. Super mental, there would be no
- 2:32need of a notch. Or of yoga.
- 2:35Why vital? What is, vital is the super
- 2:39mental change of Consciousness? Conquest of death is something
- 2:43minor. And as I have always said the
- 2:47last physical result of it, not the first result of all.
- 2:51And or the most important, a thing to be added to complete.
- 2:55The whole, not the one thing needed and essential to put it
- 3:00first is to reverse all spiritual values.
- 3:05It would mean that the Seeker was actuated not by any High
- 3:08spiritual aim, but by a vital clinging to life or a selfish
- 3:13and timid seeking for the security of the body, such a
- 3:17spirit, could not bring the super mental change and quote,

- 3:31transformation, Psychic Spiritual.
