- 8:02Speaker 1: the place. But you guys just pray for me, Just
- 8:07Speaker 1: keep in your prayers as I try to maneuver through
- 8:12Speaker 1: this little segment. Real quick, I want to bring up
- 8:19Speaker 1: I had a young lady yesterday. I forgot her name,
- 8:25Speaker 1: but she's with the whole foundation. And yesterday when I
- 8:31Speaker 1: was giving my testimony on the things that I was
- 8:36Speaker 1: how I was dealing with grief with my son. She
- 8:39Speaker 1: came out to the table where I was at and
- 8:43Speaker 1: she was telling me about her organ organization, which is
- 8:48Speaker 1: Hunter Hearts.
- 8:52Speaker 2: It deals with.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Children that's battle in d m D. And that's her foundation.
- 9:02Speaker 1: And she asked me, did I do am I a
- 9:05Speaker 1: grief counselor? And I was like, no, I just shared
- 9:08Speaker 1: my story about what I'm going through because I know
- 9:11Speaker 1: what some of the parents are dealing with. They just
- 9:15Speaker 1: lost the child. I know that feeling, I know how
- 9:18Speaker 1: they're feeling. So I just shared that experience on yesterday, and.
- 9:22Speaker 5: She wanted me to.
- 9:25Speaker 1: See if I can share my experience with other parents
- 9:31Speaker 1: that just recently lost their children.
- 9:34Speaker 5: And you know, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I believe that this is my calling. I believe that
- 9:42Speaker 1: God is putting me in this position to be able
- 9:45Speaker 1: to use my voice during this season.
- 9:49Speaker 5: It been nine months.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Since my son transition, and each day is a struggle
- 9:55Speaker 1: for me. You know, and people you know really doesn't
- 9:59Speaker 1: understand what it is to have a child that transition,
- 10:06Speaker 1: to have a birth certificate of that child and then
- 10:10Speaker 1: have that child's death certificate. It's like being it's like
- 10:14Speaker 1: having your your heart ripped out, That's what it feels like,
- 10:22Speaker 1: or the like you're being punched in the stomach, like
- 10:25Speaker 1: somebody just like you got to somebody wait on you,
- 10:30Speaker 1: and you don't. You want to breathe, you want to function,
- 10:33Speaker 1: you want to keep going, but you can't. It's just
- 10:38Speaker 1: like your everything just comes to a complete stop. Everything,
- 10:44Speaker 1: just like your life just stopped right then and there.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And you know, family members and friends they mean well
- 10:52Speaker 1: and stuff. They try to keep you, try to keep
- 10:54Speaker 1: you encouraged, and you listen, and you keep going and
- 10:58Speaker 1: you keep pressing, and then you you dealing with grief.
- 11:04Speaker 1: You dealing with other situations that arise and in your life.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Like for me, I'm dealing with my son's.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Passing.
- 11:19Speaker 1: My husband is currently incarcerated on a wrong for conviction
- 11:23Speaker 1: and in Denver. You know, I gotta I gotta move
- 11:29Speaker 1: by Saturday, you know, and I'm dealing with a lot.
- 11:38Speaker 1: So today it was one of those days. My days
- 11:42Speaker 1: or sometimes start at three o'clock in the morning and
- 11:45Speaker 1: sometimes I don't go to sleep until late. Angela been
- 11:49Speaker 1: here with me since she been in town, and she
- 11:52Speaker 1: she would tell you how how I move You know
- 11:56Speaker 1: I'm up and I'm just I'm constantly going hm. And
- 12:04Speaker 1: you know when people tell a person that's grieving, you
- 12:07Speaker 1: got to keep busy. But sometimes we burn out. And
- 12:12Speaker 1: I think today it was what was a burnout day
- 12:15Speaker 1: that sometimes I just wanted to just like curl up
- 12:18Speaker 1: boat to my mother's house and just curl.
- 12:21Speaker 8: Up up under her and just just ask her, mom,
- 12:26Speaker 8: can you make this feel better for me? Can you
- 12:28Speaker 8: make it feel okay?
- 12:30Speaker 3: Paul?
- 12:31Speaker 2: Because this is a mark. I am so sorry.
- 12:43Speaker 8: This is what I go through all that.
- 12:46Speaker 5: On a daily basis.
- 12:48Speaker 1: This is grief.
- 12:50Speaker 8: This is what grief of a parent looked like. And
- 12:54Speaker 8: my Bady was he was thirty one years old. This
- 12:58Speaker 8: is this is this is the real me. I'm not
- 13:07Speaker 8: a covert any man. Yeah that from Its different when
- 13:19Speaker 8: you know your child is laying in that in that box,
- 13:25Speaker 8: in that that think.
- 13:33Speaker 5: Uh, Angela, if you can, can you can you step
- 13:41Speaker 5: in for me please? Hm? You know, it's.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Just one of these days for me and I and
- 13:55Speaker 1: I truly apologize to you guys. I truly apologize, but
- 14:01Speaker 1: I definitely don't get myself back together. I'm gonna ask
- 14:05Speaker 1: Angela to wrap this up for me.
- 14:08Speaker 5: I will be back tomorrow with my co host Cornell.
- 14:12Speaker 1: We will have James legate on speaking to him. But
- 14:18Speaker 1: I do sincerely apologize for coming on here like this.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I hope that you guys tune in tomorrow, but I'm
- 14:30Speaker 1: gonna turn it over to Angela. Angela take Can you
- 14:37Speaker 1: take this take over for me?
- 14:39Speaker 5: Please?
- 14:42Speaker 1: All right? Can you hear me?
- 14:45Speaker 5: All right, y'all?
- 14:47Speaker 1: Can hear me? I? Well, first of all, there's no
- 14:56Speaker 1: need for Shanek to apologize. You know, she is experiencing
- 15:01Speaker 1: a lot, and she's going through a lot of emotions,
- 15:05Speaker 1: and okay, it's okay for her to feel how she feels.
- 15:10Speaker 1: All we can do is just continue to pray for her.
- 15:14Speaker 1: She's experiencing a lot. You know, she a husband that's incarcerated,
- 15:22Speaker 1: wrongfully incarcerated, and then she's dealing with the loss of
- 15:25Speaker 1: a son, you know, someone that she carried for nine months,
- 15:29Speaker 1: someone that she loved and took care of for over
- 15:33Speaker 1: thirty years. You know, so you miss things and sometimes,
- 15:40Speaker 1: you know, having these people in your life sometime they
- 15:44Speaker 1: can make these things better, you know, just their presence
- 15:49Speaker 1: and not having them. You know, I don't know what
- 15:52Speaker 1: it's like to experience the loss of a thun or
- 15:57Speaker 1: a child. But tell you when I lost my cousin
- 16:02Speaker 1: and it still or when when I People don't understand
- 16:08Speaker 1: when someone is so close to you and someone that
- 16:13Speaker 1: you talk to every day, like every time I go
- 16:15Speaker 1: to trying to pick up the phone and call him
- 16:18Speaker 1: and not even doubt it's not what and realize that
- 16:22Speaker 1: my baby's not here, my best friend's not here no more,
- 16:25Speaker 1: my brother's not here no more, my cousin's not here
- 16:28Speaker 1: no more. He was so much to me. So I understand.
- 16:34Speaker 2: But we all.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Experience and go through different and then we have different
- 16:41Speaker 1: things that add to what we're going through. So sometimes
- 16:47Speaker 1: we just have to be a listening here and be
- 16:51Speaker 1: willing to pray for your friends and your family members
- 16:57Speaker 1: and not always telling them to push forward. You know,
- 17:02Speaker 1: sometime they may need to stay where they are for
- 17:04Speaker 1: a minute so that they can get over where they are,
- 17:08Speaker 1: you know, let them process how they process, and sometimes
- 17:12Speaker 1: you just gotta be there.
- 17:16Speaker 3: You know.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Sometimes you may not understand it. But I thank God
- 17:22Speaker 1: for you know, the prayer group. I thank them for
- 17:26Speaker 1: the event on yesterday, Like I'm out here in California,
- 17:30Speaker 1: I'm out here with Channette, you know, and I see
- 17:35Speaker 1: what she's going through. I see what she's experiencing, and
- 17:40Speaker 1: to not really be able to do anything but be
- 17:43Speaker 1: here to hear her cries and to let her know
- 17:49Speaker 1: that it's gonna be okay, you know, even though right
- 17:52Speaker 1: now it don't seem like it's gonna be okay. It's
- 17:55Speaker 1: gonna be okay. And I'm here, you know, I'm glad
- 17:59Speaker 1: that I'm I'm able to be here with her. You know,
- 18:02Speaker 1: things may not be going the way we want them
- 18:04Speaker 1: to go, but we just hold on to faith even
- 18:10Speaker 1: when we can't see that must to see working. We
- 18:12Speaker 1: just hold on to you know, and I'm gonna be
- 18:15Speaker 1: here to encourage her. You know, God put people in
- 18:18Speaker 1: your life for a reason, and sometimes you just gotta
- 18:22Speaker 1: be that rock, You gotta be that that tree. So
- 18:27Speaker 1: y'all just keep my friend and our host in prayer.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Shanette is an amazing individual. She stood up yesterday and
- 18:38Speaker 1: shared her testimony, and she's she's getting better at, you know,
- 18:45Speaker 1: releasing and allowing people to come into her space. So
- 18:53Speaker 1: I'm thankful for how God is, you know, navigating her
- 18:56Speaker 1: life and moving in her life. And I know things
- 18:59Speaker 1: are gonna work out for her, you know, and we
- 19:02Speaker 1: just keep holding on to faith that we keep praying
- 19:05Speaker 1: for her and lifting her up. So y'all, thank y'all
- 19:09Speaker 1: for tuning in. Like you say, she just need a
- 19:12Speaker 1: moment to get herself together. She will be back on tomorrow.
- 19:17Speaker 1: If not, y'all know, I got her back, and we
- 19:22Speaker 1: keep pushing and we keep doing what we do until
- 19:26Speaker 1: she's able to come back out and do what she
- 19:29Speaker 1: needs to do. So y'all tune in tomorrow night. Y'all know,
- 19:32Speaker 1: we on every night except for Tuesdays. We were trying
- 19:37Speaker 1: to drop something place. You know. I hope that something
- 19:41Speaker 1: that will share tonight will help somebody because you never
- 19:44Speaker 1: know what the next person may be going through because
- 19:49Speaker 1: at some point in life, we all experience lost and
- 19:53Speaker 1: we all deal with it different. So and I'm wanting
- 19:59Speaker 1: to tell you that that it never goes anywhere. It's
- 20:05Speaker 1: just how you navigate. So with that being said, I
- 20:10Speaker 1: want to thank you guys for tuning in tonight to
- 20:16Speaker 1: let's talk about it. Keep my sister in prayer, Keep
- 20:20Speaker 1: Scheanette lifted up in prayer, y'all. We love y'all. We
- 20:24Speaker 1: appreciate y'all, and tune in tomorrow night. She's gonna try
- 20:28Speaker 1: to press her way back with her co host and
- 20:30Speaker 1: they're gonna be touching on the James Legate Show Games
- 20:34Speaker 1: James Legates Case on the show tomorrow. Shanette is very
- 20:40Speaker 1: passionate about what she does, and one of her things
- 20:44Speaker 1: is social injustice. So that's what she does to try,
- 20:51Speaker 1: you know, occupy some of her time and to keep
- 20:53Speaker 1: her mind preoccupied. But again, y'all, that too can and
- 21:00Speaker 1: be wearing on her too. So y'all keep my sister
- 21:03Speaker 1: lifted in prayer and I will see y'all back on
- 21:06Speaker 1: here tomorrow night. Y'all be blessed and make sure that
- 21:11Speaker 1: y'all are following and sharing the Crew podcast because we

- 21:38Speaker 1: It was nothing shot of amazing. I tell you every
- 21:42Speaker 1: time AA LAC show up, God show out. And I'm
- 21:45Speaker 1: grateful for all of the author's business owners, community leaders,
- 21:50Speaker 1: that that didn't think it robbery to be a part
- 21:54Speaker 1: of it and to come out and allow their talents
- 21:56Speaker 1: and their gifts to be showcased and to share just
- 21:59Speaker 1: a little bit it. So shout out to all the
- 22:03Speaker 1: individuals in that Los Angeles community for just being a
- 22:08Speaker 1: blessing to their community. If you guys missed yesterday, y'all,

- 22:21Speaker 1: amazing things that we're doing. So y'all have a good night.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Thank you for those that don't know who I am,
- 22:26Speaker 1: because I just jump on here sometimes and just get
- 22:28Speaker 1: to talk and I am the visionary of the Crew podcast.
