- 0:18get you caught up. A major narcotics investigation
- 0:21has led to one of the largest drug seizures in
- 0:24Sacramento County this year. The Sacramento County
- 0:27Area Intelligence narcotics team known as saint
- 0:30working alongside the dea and sacramento county
- 0:34district attorney's office concluded a months
- 0:36-long investigation into a drug trafficking organization
- 0:39operating in sacramento county authorities executed
- 0:4311 residential search warrants, and served nine
- 0:47arrest warrants during their operation. Investigators
- 0:50seized 61 firearms, including rifles and handguns,
- 0:54nearly 229 pounds of methamphetamine, more than
- 0:58six pounds of heroin, and over $18 ,000 in cash,
- 1:03as well as a 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle as part

- 1:47additional charges. In City Watch, Sacramento
- 1:51County is recognizing National Foster Care Month
- 1:54by highlighting the importance of kinship care
- 1:57and community members who help support children
- 2:00during difficult times. The Department of Child,
- 2:05Family, and Adult Services recently hosted a
- 2:08Kin Town Hall focused on keeping children connected
- 2:12to relatives, trusted adults, and familiar communities
- 2:15whenever possible. County officials say research
- 2:19continues to show that children placed with family
- 2:22members or close family friends often experience
- 2:25greater stability, maintain stronger cultural
- 2:27connections, and face less trauma. Kinship care
- 2:31can include grandparents, aunts, uncles, older
- 2:34siblings, teachers, coaches, godparents, or other
- 2:38supportive adults already involved in the child's
- 2:41life. County leaders say that there remains an
- 2:46ongoing need for resources for families willing
- 2:49to provide safe and supportive homes for children
- 2:52when placement with relatives is not possible.
- 2:56For more information about becoming a resource
