negli articoli del portale. Siamo con il direttore
• 1:37
Massimo Lualdi che introduce l 'argomento odierno.
• 1:40
Di cosa parliamo oggi? Musica, di cult. L 'interpretazione
• 1:44
di Hotel California, celeberrimo brano del 1976
• 1:47
degli Eagles, scritto da Don Felder, Don Henley
• 1:51
e Glenn Frey, è oggetto da sempre di diverse
• 1:54
visioni. Il testo descrive l 'hotel California
• 1:57
come un albergo With Joe and the band with me,
• 2:22
I wanted to write something musically. that would
• 2:26
fit two guitar players that we could L 'esegesi

dell 'edonismo e dell 'autodistruzione dell 'industria

musicale della California del Sud nella fine
• 2:40
degli anni 70. Lo stesso Don Henley l 'ha definita
• 2:43
la nostra interpretazione della bella vita a

Los Angeles e in un 'intervista del 2007 aggiunse

del sogno americano che è qualcosa che conosciamo

bene. Don Felder used to send Henley and I instrumental
• 3:10
tapes, song ideas. 95 % of them were cluttered
• 3:15
with guitar licks, and we would listen to these
• 3:18
things and go, well, where do you sing? As Don
• 3:21
and I were listening through one of the Felder
• 3:23
cassettes and this song came up, we both sort
• 3:25
of said, hmm. Now this is interesting. The music
• 3:36
sounded to me like some sort of a cross between
• 3:41
Spanish music and reggae music. And that one
• 3:44
really jumped out at me. So we set out to write
• 3:48
a song to that progression. I'm pretty sure it
• 3:53
was Henley's idea to have a song called Hotel

.it I think Henley's and Glenn's lyric writing
• 4:51
really came to a head. They became real honest
• 4:54
-to -God songwriters. The abstract nature of
• 4:56
the text of the song has pushed the listeners
• 4:58
to make their own interpretations about it. Among
• 5:02
them there are also statements spread on the
• 5:04
web on alleged satanic subtexts. In support of
• 5:07
this theory, some approached the Hotel California,
• 5:09
a hotel in San Francisco bought by Anton Lavey
• 5:12
and converted into a headquarters of the Church
• 5:14
of Satan. Other theories argued that the Hotel
• 5:17
California was the Camarillo Manicomio in California.
• 5:20
The group has never expressed itself on these
• 5:22
theories, thus feeding them. Certo è che la parola

scherzosa menzione del gruppo Stili Den, nella

cui canzone Everything You Did è incluso il verso

Turn up the eagles, the neighbors are listening,
• 5:36
cioè alza gli eagles, i vicini stanno ascoltando.
