- 0:13Speaker 1: over in the context of working around heavy machinery, if
- 0:16Speaker 1: you wouldn't put your pecker in there, don't put your
- 0:18Speaker 1: finger in there. That's that's why, that's the standard. That's
- 0:24Speaker 1: a good one. It's always so teough.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Yeah, what if I put my hand in Yeah.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Another good thing is like, don't take don't take any
- 0:31Speaker 1: criticism from somebody that you wouldn't take advice from that recently.
- 0:35Speaker 3: I also love in the vein of like not worrying
- 0:37Speaker 3: about what you can't control. If it won't matter in
- 0:39Speaker 3: five years, it doesn't matter.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Now, that's a classic.
- 0:42Speaker 4: I love that one.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Here's how it's gonna work. Okay, I'm listening because we're
- 0:47Speaker 1: emotional suckers, the rest of us. You, you are a
- 0:51Speaker 1: hardened robot, so well hear out everybody's best advice they
- 0:56Speaker 1: ever got, and then you, solely at your discretion, get
- 1:01Speaker 1: to choose who moves on.
- 1:04Speaker 2: So powerful.
- 1:04Speaker 5: Yeah right, yeah, so we can all I'll still get
- 1:08Speaker 5: to put these on my Pinterest board though.
- 1:09Speaker 6: We can.
- 1:10Speaker 1: We can all chime in. We can all chime in.
- 1:12Speaker 1: But the sea bass gets the final decision because he's
- 1:14Speaker 1: smarter than all there just to ask them, this is smart.
- 1:17Speaker 5: Uh huh, smart move by you.
- 1:18Speaker 1: This is all right. Let's uh, let's say hi to Audrey. Hey, Audrey, Hi, alright,
- 1:28Speaker 1: all right, so what's the what's the best advice you
- 1:30Speaker 1: ever got?
- 1:32Speaker 7: Best advice I ever got? I actually got a chattooed
- 1:35Speaker 7: on me, which is, be the best version of yourself.
- 1:37Speaker 7: And then to add, find it of you love you'll
- 1:40Speaker 7: never find a job, find a job you love you
- 1:42Speaker 7: and never work a day in your life.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Okay, So be the best version of yourself. All right,
- 1:46Speaker 1: that's a that's Audrey's. And then uh, we'll put her
- 1:49Speaker 1: on hold and we'll say hi to Jacob. Hi, Jacob,
- 1:52Speaker 1: geez morning. He's on a motocross course right there, all right, Jacob.
- 1:58Speaker 1: The single best piece of advice you've ever gotten.
- 2:01Speaker 8: It's better to be hated for something you are than
- 2:04Speaker 8: to be loved for something you're not.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Okay, all right, So be the best version of yourself.
- 2:10Speaker 1: This is really kind of be the most authentic version
- 2:12Speaker 1: of yourself. Better to be hated for something that you
- 2:15Speaker 1: are instead of love for something that you aren't. All right,
- 2:19Speaker 1: all right, your vote.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I love that second one. That's a great one.
- 2:22Speaker 2: That's a good one. That one resonates with me more.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, man, it's Sammy. You know the second one.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I agree, second.
- 2:29Speaker 9: One, Yeah, I guess yeah, second one.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Now you see, that's just trying to go against us,
- 2:34Speaker 1: because like if we like saying the majority of us
- 2:36Speaker 1: like the second one, does he just go with the
- 2:37Speaker 1: first one?
- 2:38Speaker 2: Is because we don't think.
- 2:39Speaker 9: So no, like what other version of yourself?
- 2:41Speaker 1: Okay, fine, choose and then show your work.
- 2:44Speaker 5: Okay, well, my work unfortunately involves some cheating. But she
- 2:47Speaker 5: did it by getting a tattoo of this thing on herself.
- 2:50Speaker 5: And you know how much I think tattoos are smart
- 2:52Speaker 5: and cool and are definitely good ideas and well worth
- 2:55Speaker 5: the money in time. Therefore the first one.
- 2:58Speaker 4: But that's not the advice.
- 3:00Speaker 5: I mean, the advice is half a dozen.
- 3:02Speaker 1: All right, Audrey, hang on one second, Jacob, thank you for
- 3:06Speaker 1: your call. Appreciate you. Listen. Let's go to Jeremy. Hey, Jeremy,
- 3:12Speaker 1: Jeremy going, good morning show. Good Jeremy. All right, so
- 3:16Speaker 1: what's the single best advice you ever got?
- 3:20Speaker 6: Single best advice I ever received was if you believe
- 3:24Speaker 6: you can or can't. You are right. I believe in
- 3:28Speaker 6: yourself and you can do any of it.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Okay, So if you believe you can either way, you're right.
- 3:35Speaker 1: All right, we'll go right to Sea Bass on this one.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Between Audrey and Jeremy, which one sticks around for Last
- 3:41Speaker 1: man Standing?
- 3:42Speaker 5: That was nothing? I mean, it was true, but nothing
- 3:45Speaker 5: too special. So we're sticking with Audrey.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Sticking with Audrey, be the best version of yourself. All right, Jeremy,
- 3:50Speaker 1: thank you for the call. Say hi to Douglas. What's up, Douglas?
- 3:56Speaker 6: Hey, what's going on?
- 3:57Speaker 1: Last man Standing? What's the single best piece of advice
- 3:59Speaker 1: you ever got?
- 4:01Speaker 6: When someone asks you a question, if you're wrong, er right,
- 4:04Speaker 6: answer the question, because if you're just staying there waiting
- 4:07Speaker 6: for them to for them for answer, you'll never get
- 4:11Speaker 6: leadership out of yourself.
- 4:12Speaker 8: You know.
- 4:13Speaker 4: I have that sense a lit on a pillow just
- 4:15Speaker 4: like that.
- 4:15Speaker 5: It'scise, but.
- 4:18Speaker 9: I'm actually just heard a version of this just recently.
- 4:21Speaker 10: It's just like, make a decision, even if it's right
- 4:25Speaker 10: or wrong, Just make a decisions. Like yeah, I'll get
- 4:30Speaker 10: to that later. I'll give you answer later. Like, just
- 4:32Speaker 10: make a decision.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Yeah, you know menas.
- 4:34Speaker 3: That's another famous quote that that reminds me of is
- 4:37Speaker 3: the choice might be wrong, the choosing is not okay.
- 4:39Speaker 1: So I had This is another thing that I have
- 4:43Speaker 1: employed more recently. I saw, I saw this thing. I'm like,
- 4:46Speaker 1: you know what, man, because you could sit there and
- 4:48Speaker 1: you can talk about something and think about something and
- 4:50Speaker 1: try to plan something, and you'll know you're still on
- 4:54Speaker 1: step number one. And somebody posts this ugly action beats perfection,
- 4:59Speaker 1: and it's like, yeah, two ladders. One is like all
- 5:01Speaker 1: jacked up and not looking corfectly, but it has like
- 5:05Speaker 1: seven steps on it, where the other ones only like
- 5:07Speaker 1: that got the first two rungs on it. So who's
- 5:09Speaker 1: further ahead?
- 5:10Speaker 5: That's the version of DOUBLET perfection being an enemy of Yeah, good.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Ugly action beats perfection? All right, sea bass? Who who
- 5:18Speaker 1: sticks around?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:18Speaker 5: Terrible delivery. So we're sticking with the first lady.
- 5:22Speaker 1: All right, Dougle, thank you. Let's say hi to Austin. Austin,
- 5:28Speaker 1: what's up? You know, last man standing? What's the single
- 5:32Speaker 1: best piece of advice you ever got?
- 5:35Speaker 11: You know this goes in hand and hand. What you're
- 5:37Speaker 11: talking about with your kid's had life is hard? Sometimes
- 5:40Speaker 11: no matter how hard something may be, and no matter
- 5:42Speaker 11: what challenges you may face, those challenges will make you
- 5:46Speaker 11: into the person that you will become and the best
- 5:48Speaker 11: version of yourself.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Okay, on to just kind of embellishing.
- 5:55Speaker 1: All right, Let's see which one Sea Bass Austin or Audrey.
- 6:01Speaker 5: Austin's has got some big holes in it? Best version yourself?
- 6:04Speaker 5: Number one, best version of yourself is just but number
- 6:07Speaker 5: two like so the person so you have went through
- 6:09Speaker 5: all these challenges and suddenly you have PTSD and and
- 6:12Speaker 5: you're now a serial killer, not the best version of yourself.
- 6:15Speaker 5: So it's logically wrong, so we'll stay the first lady.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Ye see, guys, I couldn't agree more because I see
- 6:20Speaker 3: interviews with like crack heads and stuff, and they always
- 6:22Speaker 3: ask what would you change?
- 6:23Speaker 1: Nothing?
- 6:24Speaker 3: Because it made me who I am today, exactly.
- 6:29Speaker 5: I see that all these not only yeah, just wrong.
- 6:33Speaker 1: All right, let's see Mike is up next. What a
- 6:37Speaker 1: Mike you guys, love you man, standing single best piece
- 6:43Speaker 1: of advice you ever got.
- 6:45Speaker 8: So I received this advice from my mentor when I
- 6:47Speaker 8: was in the military, and he said, if you want
- 6:49Speaker 8: to do something and if you want to take advantage
- 6:51Speaker 8: of an opportunity, ask for it. The worst someone can
- 6:55Speaker 8: do is say no, yeah, yeah.
- 6:58Speaker 5: That's a version of you don't you don't get what
- 6:59Speaker 5: you don't ask for.
- 7:00Speaker 9: The squeaky wheel, right.
- 7:03Speaker 8: I like that.
- 7:04Speaker 1: He's right.
- 7:07Speaker 5: I think you could take that a step further and
- 7:09Speaker 5: say make it happen, take it and demand it. So
- 7:11Speaker 5: I'm still going with the first lady really asked for it.
- 7:16Speaker 4: I thought you'd think that was good.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Practical, Like what why why is the first one better
- 7:22Speaker 1: than that one in your mind?
- 7:24Speaker 2: Uh?
- 7:24Speaker 1: Because are you just gonna say the first one for
- 7:26Speaker 1: all of them? That's what he's.
- 7:27Speaker 5: Doing because she tattooed on herself, So again I committed.
- 7:31Speaker 5: I agree that that's a bit of a cheat. But
- 7:33Speaker 5: she she again, she offered that and she used it.
- 7:36Speaker 1: So unless anybody has this advice tattooed on them, they're
- 7:40Speaker 1: not gonna they're not gonna overcome.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Not true.
- 7:43Speaker 5: In fact, I'll go I'm just asking your decision to
- 7:47Speaker 5: get this call in. But there is one specific piece
- 7:50Speaker 5: of advice said by want Elon Musk that I'm specifically
- 7:54Speaker 5: and if you get through it, I'm not saying that's
- 7:55Speaker 5: the only thing that can win, but if you get
- 7:57Speaker 5: through with that. Oh my god, I'll get that's not
- 8:04Speaker 5: just because it was the first one.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 10: I also say the quote that he just said is
- 8:09Speaker 10: pretty much what I've done my entire career.
- 8:11Speaker 5: You can't wait for somebody to give it to you. Yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 5: I said this to Morgan for like two years now.
- 8:16Speaker 5: People this company are just gonna hand you things.
- 8:18Speaker 10: Well, that was gonna be like one of my quotes
- 8:19Speaker 10: is like, no one's here to save you ever.
- 8:23Speaker 9: You just gotta go.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Let's say hi to Ezra. Hey, Ezra, you guys doing
- 8:30Speaker 1: I're doing great.
- 8:31Speaker 2: All right.
- 8:31Speaker 1: So what's the single best piece of advice you ever got?
- 8:35Speaker 11: The best advice I ever got was to be happy.
- 8:37Speaker 1: You must eliminate two things, the fear of bad future
- 8:40Speaker 1: and the fear of your bad memories. It's a fear
- 8:44Speaker 1: of bad future, fear of bad member. Those are the
- 8:46Speaker 1: two things you have to like go up, all right
- 8:49Speaker 1: to be happy?
- 8:50Speaker 2: All right?
- 8:50Speaker 1: So Ezra or Audrey, now Audrey, I'm sorry, Ezra. You
- 8:55Speaker 1: don't happen to have this tattooed on you. You don't
- 8:58Speaker 1: have to want to tell us your entire leg It's
- 9:01Speaker 1: not like on a sign that hangs in your house,
- 9:03Speaker 1: like somewhere like in the living room or something.
- 9:07Speaker 5: If I win, I'll get a tatooed on my bud sheep.
- 9:10Speaker 6: If that work.
- 9:11Speaker 5: Oh oh nice, a different font right right than yeah? Yeah, okay,
- 9:16Speaker 5: I mean that was a bit no offense. But to
- 9:18Speaker 5: be honest about it, it's a bit general and a bit.
- 9:20Speaker 9: Blah seabask can I make a case for this one?
- 9:23Speaker 10: I'm listening because yeah, she's kind of saying like, look,
- 9:27Speaker 10: something bad may have happened to you in your life,
- 9:29Speaker 10: and a lot of things happen, and bad things happen
- 9:32Speaker 10: to a lot of people. Everybody, Yes, to everybody, but
- 9:34Speaker 10: a lot of people kind of make that their personality
- 9:37Speaker 10: or they never let it go.
- 9:38Speaker 5: Man, this is helping you out because all he hated
- 9:40Speaker 5: to do to string this together is to add in
- 9:41Speaker 5: this is why therapy sucks.
- 9:43Speaker 10: Yeah, you know, and then they just like they never
- 9:46Speaker 10: let it go and they make it affect their life
- 9:48Speaker 10: and they project it onto other people constantly.
- 9:52Speaker 2: You're totally right, because there are grown adults who bitch
- 9:55Speaker 2: and moan about a high school experience forty years ago
- 9:57Speaker 2: and they're like, well about it.
- 10:02Speaker 1: You got to move forward.
- 10:03Speaker 5: You may make excellent points. However, because I'm that never
- 10:08Speaker 5: would apply to me in my life, I'm going to
- 10:09Speaker 5: still pass over it.
- 10:10Speaker 1: But you had a very good Thank you, Gus appreciate it.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Let's go to Al. Hey, Al, what do show?
- 10:20Speaker 8: You know?
- 10:20Speaker 1: You know, last man standing, single best piece of advice
- 10:23Speaker 1: you ever got?
- 10:26Speaker 8: Just because you can afford a payment, does it mean
- 10:28Speaker 8: that you can afford an item?
- 10:30Speaker 1: That's good?
- 10:31Speaker 5: Sounds like I'm going to write that down one say.
- 10:36Speaker 1: One more time for for Gina, who wants to write
- 10:39Speaker 1: this down. Just because you can't afford the payment does
- 10:44Speaker 1: mean that you can afford the item.
- 10:45Speaker 4: I just write that down.
- 10:47Speaker 5: That's very, very true, and it goes to the things
- 10:49Speaker 5: I've talked about for years and go to Dave Ramsey obviously.
- 10:53Speaker 1: That it is good.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Never heard that because that's actual, that's that's that's not
- 10:57Speaker 5: pie in the sky practical ect, actual practical stuff.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Well, while you're thinking about that, somebody texted our best advice.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Life is like a boner. Sometimes it's hard, but it
- 11:05Speaker 1: doesn't stay like that forever.
- 11:09Speaker 3: My favorite, my favorite piece from the Texas Best advice
- 11:13Speaker 3: I ever received as a freaked out new mom, it's
- 11:16Speaker 3: actually hard to kill a baby.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Greg's been saying, all right, so between Al and Audrey,
- 11:23Speaker 1: because his advice is actually practical, I'm going with Al.
- 11:27Speaker 4: You're gonna go what I really like that one?
- 11:30Speaker 2: All right?
- 11:30Speaker 1: Al, hang on one second, you are the new leader
- 11:32Speaker 1: on the board. Audrey, you had a great run. You
- 11:36Speaker 1: had a great run. But hey, thank you so much
- 11:37Speaker 1: for listening to the show. We appreciate you. Okay, but
- 11:43Speaker 1: I mean, hey, solid run, solid run. All right, we
- 11:46Speaker 1: have time for one more? One more? Which one?
- 11:51Speaker 8: Here?
- 11:51Speaker 1: Greg, come over here real quick, look at the look
- 11:55Speaker 1: at the options. Let's see. We're gonna I'm gonna have
- 11:58Speaker 1: a Greg any of the all right, Yeah, let's see
- 12:01Speaker 1: which one does Greg think would have the best chance
- 12:04Speaker 1: of beating out Alt.
- 12:06Speaker 5: You can't just attribute a quotation to Elon Muskins and
- 12:08Speaker 5: automatically yeah for a specific one.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Uh yeah, yeah, which which one?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Greg? This one is resonating with me.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Okay, okay, so you want to go that one? Yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 1: don't hesitate make a decision as we're talking about Yeah,
- 12:24Speaker 1: that one?
- 12:25Speaker 2: All right?
- 12:25Speaker 1: Uh? Nathan, what's up? Hey?
- 12:30Speaker 6: What's going on?
- 12:31Speaker 2: All right?
- 12:31Speaker 1: So last man standing? You get the last shot at it.
- 12:34Speaker 1: What's the single best advice or piece of advice that
- 12:37Speaker 1: you ever got.
- 12:39Speaker 8: Okay, it's three words, three different versions of the word
- 12:42Speaker 8: moderate moderation, moderately.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I now, Greg, I spoke to you.
- 12:48Speaker 2: You said, yeah, because everybody says, oh, everything in moderation,
- 12:52Speaker 2: But I don't agree with that. Not everything has to
- 12:54Speaker 2: be in moderation.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Are you saying the opposite of what he's saying?
- 12:59Speaker 4: No, moderate moderation, moderation.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Moderately, like a double might didn't realize he was putting
- 13:04Speaker 5: as a sentence moderate moderation, moderating.
- 13:09Speaker 2: I was getting right, like sometimes it's fine to indulge, right.
- 13:13Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, moderate your moor.
- 13:15Speaker 1: So Nathan say it one more time.
- 13:18Speaker 8: Moderate moderation, moderately.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Moderate moderation, moderately and it's just cool alliteration, which Greg,
- 13:27Speaker 1: and it's memorable, Yeah, which Greg's moderate moderation, Greg moderately.
- 13:31Speaker 1: All right, So between Nathan and al Sea Bass. Still,
- 13:35Speaker 1: by the way, Nathan, this wasn't either tattooed on you
- 13:38Speaker 1: or from Elon Musk right should no?
- 13:41Speaker 8: In fact, just uh, it's advice. I give it to
- 13:43Speaker 8: people all the time.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Okay, all right, what yeah?
- 13:46Speaker 2: It resonate with me in the fourteen point two seconds
- 13:50Speaker 2: I had to glance over them.
- 13:52Speaker 1: I will say no on the this new guy what Nathan, Nathan?
- 13:56Speaker 5: Yeah, just because it so it's like it's too cute,
- 13:58Speaker 5: just trying to be too cute for what actually not
- 14:00Speaker 5: really getting any real information.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Across all right, Nathan, thank you for the call, appreciate
- 14:03Speaker 1: you listen, and congratulations and hey, al, congratulations you are
- 14:11Speaker 1: the winner of this round of last may standing.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Right.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Oh sweet again, just because you can afford a payment
- 14:20Speaker 1: doesn't mean you can afford the item.
- 14:22Speaker 9: But I want it. That's such good.
- 14:26Speaker 1: So I'll hang on one second, We'll get your information
- 14:28Speaker 1: and you can get you your prize. So what is
- 14:30Speaker 1: the what is the just out of curiosity? What's the
- 14:32Speaker 1: Elon Musk thing?
- 14:33Speaker 5: He said this at the Y Combinator in twenty fourteen,
- 14:36Speaker 5: which is a big like tech startup thing. If you
- 14:38Speaker 5: need inspiring words, don't do it.
- 14:42Speaker 1: That's good.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Drive inside you. And he needs someone to hype you
- 14:47Speaker 5: up and get some stupid phrase.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I think, for whatever reason, I don't know, call me crazy.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I was expecting something way more sarcastic. Yeah no, not
- 14:54Speaker 1: not legit. I thought sea best, would you know? No?
- 14:56Speaker 3: But then remember Elon Musk is going to hold a
- 14:58Speaker 3: sink and the captures can say, let that sink in.
- 15:01Speaker 5: Like I always talked about it, like he could have
- 15:03Speaker 5: used a better comedy writer.
- 15:04Speaker 1: But well that's there. You go, last man standing. Everybody.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Congratulations to Al.
- 15:10Speaker 4: Then I saw it blink your eye and I knew
- 15:13Speaker 4: you were.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Banging okay on Instagram the show.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And because we're all competitive, we like to have these
- 15:26Speaker 1: little competitions. Now, this one always ends up. It's like
- 15:29Speaker 1: any kind of a family gathering. There's always a fight,
- 15:32Speaker 1: there's always an argument if some kind of breaks out,
- 15:34Speaker 1: but no alcohol during these Yeah, what do you show
- 15:38Speaker 1: weakest link? Yes, will do show weakest like much like
- 15:41Speaker 1: the TV version. All right, we in it of time
- 15:45Speaker 1: to try to answer correctly eight questions, and if we
- 15:49Speaker 1: can get eight questions in that time, well we'll have
- 15:54Speaker 1: food delivered rare. Yeah, a food delivery. Yeah, that be
- 16:00Speaker 1: the reward, right, food delivery.
